- 0:21Speaker 1: Taylor put it on the poll the Marlins. Huh honest,
- 0:28Speaker 1: even baseball. We'll get to Lebron James in just a second,
- 0:31Speaker 1: is he. I'm amazed by this. Taylor doesn't understand why
- 0:35Speaker 1: sports media celebrates Bobby Benie a day, which is today,
- 0:39Speaker 1: Happy Bobby bo Day. Taylor doesn't understand it. Mikey just
- 0:43Speaker 1: made a disgusting Look. What is the matter, Mikey A.
- 0:47Speaker 2: How do you not understand it? This is a this
- 0:50Speaker 2: you circle this on the sports calendar.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yeah, well, let's hear him out. Let's hear what he
- 0:53Speaker 1: doesn't understand.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Go ahead, Taylor.
- 0:56Speaker 3: So in two thousand, the Mets to for Bobby Benia's contract.
- 0:59Speaker 3: They're paying him what like less than two million dollars
- 1:02Speaker 3: every year until twenty thirty five. With the available payroll
- 1:07Speaker 3: from deferring him, they traded for eventual NLCS MVP Mike Hampton.
- 1:13Speaker 3: So they made a World Series almost immediately after deferring.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Then when Mike Hampton leaves in free agency, they get
- 1:20Speaker 3: a compensatory draft pick, and with that pick they selected
- 1:24Speaker 3: David Wright. David Wright is an all time met So
- 1:27Speaker 3: everything that happened after Bobby Bania broke exactly like you
- 1:31Speaker 3: could replay that situation a thousand times, it probably doesn't
- 1:35Speaker 3: break in the Mets favor as well as it did.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Bobby Bonia Day should be a day Mets fans are celebrating,
- 1:40Speaker 3: and instead they're kind of mocked.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Well, I mean we're the Mets are mocked. You're right,
- 1:45Speaker 1: we're celebrating Bobby Benia. I don't know when did Bobby
- 1:47Speaker 1: Benia retire? Because the fact that Bobby Benia is still
- 1:52Speaker 1: getting well over a million dollars every single year until
- 1:55Speaker 1: the year two thousand and thirty five is the reason
- 1:57Speaker 1: that we celebrate Bobby Benia Day.
- 2:00Speaker 2: When did he retire?
- 2:00Speaker 3: Taylor two thousand and one.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Two thousand and one, So he gets paid north of
- 2:05Speaker 1: a million bucks until two thousand and thirty five.
- 2:07Speaker 2: He hasn't played a game in twenty five years. He's
- 2:10Speaker 2: been collecting that paycheck. That's why we celebrate you know what,
- 2:14Speaker 2: And yes it is. I think in Taylor's mind it's mocked. No, No,
- 2:17Speaker 2: it is celebrated. Yea. It is one of the greatest
- 2:19Speaker 2: transactions in the history of sports, whether or not it
- 2:22Speaker 2: worked out in the Mets favor, which it did.
- 2:24Speaker 1: But part of that celebration is mocking the Mets for
- 2:26Speaker 1: doing that deal. Yes, and Taylor is saying it was
- 2:28Speaker 1: a good deal at the time.
- 2:30Speaker 2: And it was. And you just dropped a name that
- 2:32Speaker 2: just sent shivers through my body because it just made
- 2:35Speaker 2: me realize, Wow, this is when I liked baseball and
- 2:38Speaker 2: this short king Mike Hampton was one of my favorite competitors.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And you know part of the story. He hasn't played
- 2:45Speaker 2: greatcoa tea. Yes, oh, great goats, greatcoa.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Tea, But he hasn't played since two thousand and one.
- 2:50Speaker 1: He's still collecting. Man.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Two thousand and thirty six is going to be a
- 2:54Speaker 2: tough year for Bobby Benita. He's gonna have to get
- 2:56Speaker 2: back to work. You think it's just spending it all
- 2:58Speaker 2: year by year not besting any of it, Like, well, it's.
- 3:02Speaker 3: A tough day for in twenty thirty six is gonna
- 3:04Speaker 3: be the Darren Ravels of the world that have this
- 3:07Speaker 3: day circled on their calendar and their alarm going off
- 3:10Speaker 3: this morning saying, oh, let me remind everybody to put
- 3:13Speaker 3: out this notification for Bobby Benia day. If you told
- 3:15Speaker 3: Mets fans in two thousand when they deferred that contract, hey,
- 3:19Speaker 3: as a result of this, you are going to get
- 3:22Speaker 3: a fan favorite, one of the best Mets in team history,
- 3:27Speaker 3: and the cost is going to be your owner. Who
- 3:30Speaker 3: whoever's the owner of this Mets team is going to
- 3:33Speaker 3: be the one paying that bill till twenty thirty six.
- 3:37Speaker 3: First off, two million dollars. In today's baseball, that's next
- 3:40Speaker 3: to nothing. I think all Mets fans sign up for that.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yeah, July first, two thousand and thirty six is gonna
- 3:46Speaker 1: be a rude awakening for Darren Ravel. You're right, because
- 3:48Speaker 1: you know he's gonna go to the Twitter machine. He's
- 3:50Speaker 1: gonna tweet it out and people are gonna be like, hey,
- 3:52Speaker 1: it's over, Mikey?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Was it just me? Is this like a is this
- 3:56Speaker 2: the Mandela effect? Thing? Was Mike Campten not that short?
- 3:59Speaker 2: Because in my head he was like a five to seven,
- 4:01Speaker 2: five eight guys, Oh he's listed at five to ten,
- 4:07Speaker 2: then he's five.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Four, OK, that's probably why are you doing it? By
- 4:11Speaker 1: how they're listed?
- 4:12Speaker 2: You know that's not that's a baseball I didn't know
- 4:14Speaker 2: that was a real thing, but five ten, Like, in
- 4:15Speaker 2: my mind he was a solid like, I mean five seven,
- 4:18Speaker 2: But I guess I'm just getting short changing him a
- 4:20Speaker 2: little bit. Yes, I was listed at one ninety when
- 4:23Speaker 2: I played.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You still list yourself at one ninety, don't you sure?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Do you go to take five pounds? The Lebron James
- 4:33Speaker 1: stuff is getting interesting? Is he because? According to Shams Lebron,
- 4:38Speaker 1: which this opens it up if indeed it's true, and
- 4:40Speaker 1: I believe that it is because Shams is reporting it.
- 4:43Speaker 1: If indeed this is true, this opens up Lebron to
- 4:46Speaker 1: just about every team in the NBA. He can kind
- 4:48Speaker 1: of sit back, take his time, see how the rosters
- 4:51Speaker 1: are constructed here, and then kind of choose his team
- 4:54Speaker 1: where it's not just the Heat, it's not just Golden State.
- 4:58Speaker 1: This opens it up to Oklahoma City, to San Antonio,
- 5:01Speaker 1: to Boston, to the Knicks, for crying out, lab We'll
- 5:05Speaker 1: get to them at a second, because Mitchell Robinson is dead
- 5:07Speaker 1: to tailor. But it opens it up to just about
- 5:09Speaker 1: every team where they can get you know, a guy
- 5:12Speaker 1: who averaged nearly twenty two points, six rebounds, five assists
- 5:16Speaker 1: last year.
- 5:16Speaker 2: It's super interesting. Yeah, I think he just told the
- 5:18Speaker 2: whole Mitchell Robinson story. There is no more.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I didn't say the team though, I mean.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't believe it for one second that Lebron's
- 5:27Speaker 2: gonna go anywhere for the minimum.
- 5:29Speaker 1: You don't believe that Lebron would take the minimum. So
- 5:31Speaker 1: you're saying Sean's reporting is faulty here.
- 5:33Speaker 2: No, I'm saying that is an opportunity for him to
- 5:36Speaker 2: open up to any team that wants him. But once
- 5:39Speaker 2: they say, hey, we don't really have anything to offer,
- 5:42Speaker 2: just come to us for the minimum, Rich Paul is
- 5:45Speaker 2: going to say, Okay, you can sign and trade, you
- 5:49Speaker 2: can figure something out, you can find a way to
- 5:51Speaker 2: get Lebron more money if he's going to go to
- 5:53Speaker 2: your organization. That's why I don't necessarily believe that.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So Dave mcminnimon's reporting was Ron James has instructed Rich
- 6:02Speaker 3: Paul to talk to everyone around the league who is
- 6:04Speaker 3: interested in him playing for them and come back to
- 6:07Speaker 3: him with what options are so he can make his decision.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Did Dave just report that a player told his agent
- 6:14Speaker 3: to do his job?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Put it on the pole. Did Dave mcmanimon just report
- 6:24Speaker 1: that an agent has been instructed to do his job?
- 6:27Speaker 2: It's a great pole question. If you were to write
- 6:30Speaker 2: to the definition of an agent's job, it is to
- 6:34Speaker 2: scan the league, figure out what they have for me,
- 6:37Speaker 2: and present it to my client. That is exactly true.
- 6:40Speaker 1: So you don't believe the fact that Rich Paul is
- 6:43Speaker 1: calling around the league and saying, hey, Lebron will play
- 6:45Speaker 1: on the cheap, he'll play for next to nothing, he'll
- 6:47Speaker 1: play for the league minimum. You don't find that. You
- 6:50Speaker 1: find that hard to believe.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I do. I believe that Lebron and Rich Paul have
- 6:53Speaker 2: a handful of teams or maybe two or three teams,
- 6:56Speaker 2: maybe even just one team that they think that he
- 6:58Speaker 2: could and should go to that makes the most sense.
- 7:01Speaker 2: And I believe it's just opening up the door for
- 7:04Speaker 2: any possibility. Right if the San Antonio Spurs say, hey,
- 7:07Speaker 2: we just got the minimum, but come on, we're willing
- 7:10Speaker 2: to take you Lebron, I mean, think about how ridiculous
- 7:12Speaker 2: that is, right, Like what team even has to say that? Like,
- 7:15Speaker 2: do the Washington Wizards need to say, hey, yeah, we'll
- 7:17Speaker 2: take Lebron at the minimum.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I guess, well, the Wizards are They're not a team
- 7:21Speaker 1: that Lebron would can sit it, right, But yeah.
- 7:22Speaker 2: It's just the first team that came out came to mind.
- 7:24Speaker 2: But if you know, if the Brooklyn Nets say, yeah,
- 7:28Speaker 2: we'll take Lebron. You think Lebron's gonna be like, okay, okay,
- 7:30Speaker 2: he's on there on the list, and so yeah. I
- 7:33Speaker 2: just think it's a matter of whatever team that he
- 7:36Speaker 2: wants to go to, whatever two or three teams that
- 7:38Speaker 2: he wants to go to, just make sure that it
- 7:40Speaker 2: is the right move, because let's just see what else
- 7:43Speaker 2: is out there is.
- 7:43Speaker 3: You mentioned doors being open for Lebron James and a
- 7:47Speaker 3: lot of Knicks fans were frustrated with Mitchell Robinson not
- 7:50Speaker 3: coming back to the team and Nick's unwilling to go
- 7:53Speaker 3: to the second apron. What if the reasoning what number
- 7:57Speaker 3: was Mitchell Robinson?
- 7:59Speaker 2: Oh, that's a good question. It's twenty three, fifty one.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I don't know Mitchell Robinson was twenty three?
- 8:06Speaker 2: Nailed it, Jordan.
- 8:07Speaker 3: What if all of this is because the Knicks needed
- 8:10Speaker 3: twenty three to open up and they knew Lebron would
- 8:13Speaker 3: take the vet minimum. That's what I'm talking about, Because
- 8:15Speaker 3: Lebron James, if his goal is a title contender, yep,
- 8:20Speaker 3: and his goal is money.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Is not a factor.
- 8:24Speaker 3: You tell them Lebron James is is Josh hart Roll
- 8:29Speaker 3: on steroids, where if you're imagining this Knicks team.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Wait, what are you saying about Lebron James steroids?
- 8:37Speaker 3: Very clearly, I want to be on the record right now.
- 8:40Speaker 3: I don't think Lebron James is on steroids. I think
- 8:42Speaker 3: that's that's reckless talk. But if you imagine a lineup
- 8:46Speaker 3: of Brunson, Lebron, Bridges, og Ananobi and Karl Anthony.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Oh oh, Jesus Christ, and off the.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Bench you have some combination of Josh Harden Jose Alvarado.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Now we lost Porty today, that was a little blow,
- 9:07Speaker 3: but imagine it.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I can't imagine it. I'm closing my eyes.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing, Stude, this is the transaction you
- 9:16Speaker 2: have to make if Lebron goes to New York and
- 9:19Speaker 2: wins a championship. Yes, you have to throw away your
- 9:23Speaker 2: personal record book because.
- 9:25Speaker 1: It is IAID.
- 9:27Speaker 2: So I'm good, Okay, good, okay good, Because that would
- 9:31Speaker 2: be worse than what Kevin Durant did, right, because he
- 9:34Speaker 2: went to a Warriors team that didn't just win the
- 9:37Speaker 2: championship and then won two championships. If he goes to
- 9:40Speaker 2: the Knicks team that already did it, already has the blueprint,
- 9:43Speaker 2: and then just piles that onto his resume thanks to
- 9:46Speaker 2: Jalen Brunson, No, no, no championship for you in the book.
- 9:50Speaker 1: That's a very fair point. It's why Lebron, and he's
- 9:53Speaker 1: very calculated, as you know. This is a very important decision.
- 9:56Speaker 1: He can't go to a team tailor unfortunately that just
- 9:59Speaker 1: wanted him. He has to be perceived. He wants to
- 10:03Speaker 1: be perceived as a guy that helped the team either
- 10:06Speaker 1: get back to an NBA championship or help them get
- 10:09Speaker 1: over the hub. So a team like Boston, something like
- 10:12Speaker 1: that Oklahoma City who won a championship but lost to
- 10:16Speaker 1: the Western Conference finals last year, and now if Lebron
- 10:19Speaker 1: goes there and gets them back to the NBA Finals
- 10:21Speaker 1: and wins another title, he'll be one of the main
- 10:23Speaker 1: reasons why.
- 10:24Speaker 3: But just to be clear, Lebron can't go to the
- 10:27Speaker 3: Knicks because people like you are saying he can't go
- 10:29Speaker 3: to the Knicks. Of course, they just won the title.
- 10:32Speaker 3: If you're looking at what Lebron james as checklist is
- 10:35Speaker 3: where he's saying like he wants to go somewhere that
- 10:37Speaker 3: has at least two other players that could take that
- 10:40Speaker 3: scoring pressure off him. Is if you did put Lebron
- 10:44Speaker 3: on this next team, Like Lebron could play every other
- 10:48Speaker 3: regular season game and this Knicks team is still cruising
- 10:52Speaker 3: to a top four seed in the playoffs, and then
- 10:55Speaker 3: it's just kind of you have arrested Lebron with whatever
- 10:58Speaker 3: pieces you have on this Knick team, and it's like, Okay,
- 11:01Speaker 3: let's go for this playoff run.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I just I don't see it. I mean, there's probably
- 11:05Speaker 2: a reason we haven't really heard New York in terms
- 11:07Speaker 2: of the reporting connected to Lebron. I definitely don't see
- 11:10Speaker 2: it after they wont it, right, Like I could have
- 11:12Speaker 2: seen it if they'd gotten there and lost and let
- 11:13Speaker 2: him be the savior. But him to just you know,
- 11:16Speaker 2: tack on a championship with the Knicks if they went
- 11:18Speaker 2: back to back. It's like the Clyde Drexler situation with Houston,
- 11:22Speaker 2: right where he joined in for the second one and
- 11:25Speaker 2: won it, and it's like, look at me, I'm a
- 11:26Speaker 2: champion now. I don't think a lot of people would
- 11:28Speaker 2: look at that fifth ring and say, oh, yeah, that's
- 11:30Speaker 2: Lebron's doing. I just don't feel like it's a proper
- 11:32Speaker 2: fit for him. You know, Miami, Yes, you know, what's
- 11:36Speaker 2: the other one in Cleveland, yes, Golden State, Golden State possibly,
- 11:41Speaker 2: which is crazy. What the betting odds were right? It
- 11:43Speaker 2: was Golden State first, Cleveland second, and Miami third. And
- 11:47Speaker 2: I was just saying to myself, man, somebody check Jannis's
- 11:49Speaker 2: Calshie account, because if he's got some inside information on Lebron,
- 11:52Speaker 2: he's probably making some money right there.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yes, it gets down to what Lebron really truly wants
- 11:57Speaker 1: out of this, right if he's will willing to play
- 12:01Speaker 1: for the league minimum and winning a championship War two
- 12:04Speaker 1: at the end of his career is important to him,
- 12:07Speaker 1: and I think that it probably is. Why wouldn't it
- 12:09Speaker 1: be he doesn't need money at this point, then you
- 12:12Speaker 1: kind of you do it this way. You sit back
- 12:14Speaker 1: and you join a team that people aren't expecting you
- 12:16Speaker 1: to join because you can because you're willing to pay
- 12:18Speaker 1: you on the jeep.
- 12:18Speaker 3: You know what if Lebron's angle in all this is
- 12:22Speaker 3: he heard Vincent Goodwill on Get Up say the NBA
- 12:26Speaker 3: Finals Trophy is a participation trophy because there's been eight
- 12:30Speaker 3: different champions the past eight years. And Lebron heard that
- 12:34Speaker 3: take and he said, parody, no, no, parody, Knicks are
- 12:38Speaker 3: going back to back.
- 12:41Speaker 2: That would be leg It is quite possible because Lebron
- 12:43Speaker 2: probably does watch those shows. I am curious about this
- 12:47Speaker 2: right because here's another move that I feel like fits
- 12:49Speaker 2: in perfectly with him coming to Miami. Have you seen
- 12:52Speaker 2: what the Lakers have been doing.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I know they traded two first round picks for Walker Kessler.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Walker Kessler, who's one of the best shot blockers in
- 12:59Speaker 2: the league, one of the best rebounders in the league,
- 13:01Speaker 2: and a perfect fit with Luka doncicch. Okay, they're calling
- 13:05Speaker 2: them the snow Time Lakers because they're they're quite white. Okay,
- 13:12Speaker 2: right now, the projected starting lineup would be Austin Reeves,
- 13:15Speaker 2: Luka Doncicic, Jake Larevia, Walker Kessler, and then Jared Vanderbilt.
- 13:20Speaker 2: They could get whiter because Nikola Yovich is on the heat.
- 13:25Speaker 2: And if you want to just do a quick sign
- 13:26Speaker 2: and trade to get Lebron some more money maybe in
- 13:29Speaker 2: the teens and twenties, and send yovic Ova to the Lakers,
- 13:32Speaker 2: I mean, it fits right into the snow Time Lakers,
- 13:34Speaker 2: and so I feel like that would be the move
- 13:36Speaker 2: to make and then get him and Browny over here
- 13:38Speaker 2: to Miami.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Wemby saved the All Star Game, he has saved the NBA.
- 13:41Speaker 1: He's the villain we needed. He's he's a ridiculous talent.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I feel like he's saving the big man as well.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And I say that because every team is trying to
- 13:50Speaker 1: get themselves a big guy. Just to have someone as
- 13:52Speaker 1: tall as Wemby, Yeah, they could defend them.
- 13:54Speaker 2: That's where we are in the game, right, like back
- 13:57Speaker 2: when Jordan was when everything you're trying to, you know,
- 14:00Speaker 2: eight teams that can defend him. Obviously, the bad Boy
- 14:02Speaker 2: Pistons tried to do it before they started winning everything right,
- 14:04Speaker 2: and he broke through it. But now that's happening with Wemby. Yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 2: team building.
- 14:07Speaker 1: You hear Lucas say, or at least it's reported that
- 14:10Speaker 1: he said his priority is for the Lakers to go
- 14:12Speaker 1: out and get a big man.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Why to defend Wemby. Yeah, And also everybody knows that's
- 14:16Speaker 2: Luca's best sidekick as an athletic big man who can
- 14:19Speaker 2: roll just the right time and then obviously block some
- 14:23Speaker 2: shots because Luca's not gonna play any defense if he
- 14:26Speaker 2: plays it all, is he?
- 14:28Speaker 3: It feels like Walker Kessler couldn't be more of an
- 14:30Speaker 3: ideal fit. Next to somebody like.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Luca No, one hundred percent and again the lob threat,
- 14:36Speaker 2: the defense, everything about him is exactly what he needs.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Whether you know Jackson Hayes was a good fit, Kessler's
- 14:42Speaker 2: the better version of that. Who was it Derek Lively
- 14:45Speaker 2: in Dallas? Walker Kessler's a similar version of that, probably
- 14:49Speaker 2: better defensively and maybe a notch not quite as good
- 14:53Speaker 2: offensively than Lively was, at least for a little bit.
- 14:57Speaker 2: But you know, we're talking about minor details, and I
- 15:00Speaker 2: think Walker will be an absolutely perfect fit on that team.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Is he?
- 15:15Speaker 1: If you're making this decision, I'm making you Lebron James,
- 15:18Speaker 1: and you've had that kind of career. Money is no
- 15:21Speaker 1: object to you.
- 15:22Speaker 2: It doesn't mean anything. Just winning.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Winning means means everything to you. Of the teams that
- 15:29Speaker 1: are available or close to winning, which team would you choose?
- 15:32Speaker 2: Oh, the Hornets are clearly going for it, So maybe
- 15:35Speaker 2: maybe i'd got to Charlotte.
- 15:36Speaker 1: It's it's hard for me to think that he's not
- 15:38Speaker 1: going to at least consider I ask you that question
- 15:41Speaker 1: because I'd find it hard to believe he won't consider
- 15:43Speaker 1: Oklahoma City or San Antonio.
- 15:46Speaker 2: I mean, so I would say if if if it's
- 15:50Speaker 2: win a championship and then a large gap and then
- 15:53Speaker 2: his second goal, then I would say those are two
- 15:56Speaker 2: and then the Knicks are the three teams that you
- 15:58Speaker 2: would consider, maybe, Boss, but I think competing and potentially
- 16:03Speaker 2: get Boston too, potentially winning a championship is on the list.
- 16:07Speaker 2: But you know, priorities two, three and four are a
- 16:09Speaker 2: little closer, right, having a great final season, having you know,
- 16:13Speaker 2: a place where Browny can play with me again, and
- 16:15Speaker 2: maybe you know, even grow more as a player. You know,
- 16:18Speaker 2: just setting your legacy in a way or ending the
- 16:21Speaker 2: legacy in a way that makes a whole lot of sense. Yes,
- 16:23Speaker 2: winning a championship would do a lot, but doing it
- 16:26Speaker 2: on a team that's ready made and you are just
- 16:28Speaker 2: a final piece to it that doesn't even need to
- 16:31Speaker 2: do that much. I don't think that's the way he
- 16:33Speaker 2: wants to go. And then if you're those respective organization,
- 16:36Speaker 2: it's just like well the Thunder, I would say, maybe, right,
- 16:39Speaker 2: they've already won one and they consider themselves in good
- 16:43Speaker 2: in a good place for years and years to come. Yes,
- 16:45Speaker 2: I would say, hey, yeah, we can take a year,
- 16:47Speaker 2: make it the Lebron year, try to win a championship.
- 16:49Speaker 2: The Spurs, however, having not won anything yet and then
- 16:52Speaker 2: just being obviously on a timeline that extends for at
- 16:55Speaker 2: least a decade, when you've got Wemby, I don't think that.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I don't think there's mutual interest there, especially since if
- 17:01Speaker 2: I'm Greg Popovich, I'm telling everybody interested, say, listen, we
- 17:05Speaker 2: don't take Lebron. We beat Lebron in this organization. Get
- 17:08Speaker 2: him somewhere else.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I could see Wemby saying the same thing, don't need
- 17:11Speaker 1: him exactly exactly.
- 17:14Speaker 2: We're good over here.
- 17:15Speaker 3: When Rich Paul comes back with his list of teams
- 17:18Speaker 3: that have interest in Lebron James, who do you guys
- 17:21Speaker 3: think is the saddest team that puts in like puts
- 17:24Speaker 3: in a little bid.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Wow, Well, the Sacramento Kings, because he's not taking that call. No, no,
- 17:30Speaker 2: I mean but not even but the actual the voicemail,
- 17:33Speaker 2: the voicemail is going to be, Hey, we're getting Jalen Durhan.
- 17:37Speaker 2: We got this a cuff guy, trust us this time.
- 17:40Speaker 2: We know what we're doing. We're gonna be championship ready
- 17:43Speaker 2: right off the bat. That's a good question, man.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Because I think if you're the Kings I think every
- 17:50Speaker 3: team you have to at least inquire about it, say
- 17:53Speaker 3: that you're interested if Lebron is serious saying he'll go
- 17:55Speaker 3: on the minimum. But teams like the Kings are looking
- 17:58Speaker 3: at it. I don't think the Kings think they have
- 18:00Speaker 3: any shot at Lebron. I'm more talking about teams like
- 18:04Speaker 3: like Atlanta. I think Atlanta submits. Abaden's like, maybe we
- 18:07Speaker 3: could get Lebron, or maybe like the Bulls are like,
- 18:09Speaker 3: maybe we pair him with Caleb Wilson and Giddy and
- 18:12Speaker 3: Norman Powell. I think it's he Oh Brooklyn.
- 18:16Speaker 1: But if you're the next you do everything in your
- 18:18Speaker 1: power to keep him away from CJ.
- 18:19Speaker 2: McCollum duo. Which is the most delusional team basically is
- 18:24Speaker 2: your question?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Yes, because I think Sacramento gets together they're like, hey,
- 18:28Speaker 1: let's call Rich Paul, let's talk about Lebron, and someone
- 18:30Speaker 1: in the room says, don't do it, dude, don't embarrass us.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Just don't.
- 18:33Speaker 1: It's not worth it. He's not going to pick up
- 18:35Speaker 1: the phone. It's embarrassing. We don't have a shot.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I think I got it. Who I think the most
- 18:39Speaker 2: delusional team the Boston Celtics. Really, there's just no chance
- 18:44Speaker 2: in hell that Lebron James ends his career, has any
- 18:48Speaker 2: portion of his career wearing that jersey.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but he leaves the Lakers and joins the Celtics,
- 18:53Speaker 1: he feels scored by the Lakers and he goes across
- 18:56Speaker 1: to the East Coast and he plays with the Celtics.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I would love that all three of his stops have
- 19:01Speaker 2: like very deep rooted rivalries with the Celtics. Started with
- 19:06Speaker 2: the Cashle he created it when he was with him,
- 19:08Speaker 2: and you know Paul Pierson, those guys, and then obviously
- 19:11Speaker 2: Miami and then Laker Celtics history. There's no chance he
- 19:14Speaker 2: plays for the Celtics, is he.
- 19:15Speaker 3: You're playing a bit of a different game right now,
- 19:17Speaker 3: because if Lebron goes to Boston, I hate to say it,
- 19:21Speaker 3: I think Boston becomes the favorite in the They're already
- 19:24Speaker 3: the favorite in the East, but I think Lebron kind
- 19:26Speaker 3: of pushes them over the top.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Are saying as a minimum deal in addition to Brown
- 19:31Speaker 2: and Tatum not trading Brown.
- 19:32Speaker 3: For him, Well, I think Brown's on the way out, So.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Whoever they bring in, I think Lebron, if he's gonna
- 19:38Speaker 1: do it this way, he could sit back and just
- 19:39Speaker 1: check out the raw. If he's signing for the league minimum,
- 19:42Speaker 1: he could wait a month if he wanted to.
- 19:43Speaker 2: No, yeah, I mean he could, but then that's just
- 19:46Speaker 2: not I just dote zero percent chance in my mind
- 19:49Speaker 2: that that good place for the league minimum next year.
- 19:52Speaker 1: All right, he just wants him on the heat.
- 19:53Speaker 2: I mean that's really every good dad everything in his history, Like, yes,
- 19:57Speaker 2: he took that minuscule discount when he came to Miami,
- 20:01Speaker 2: but ever since then, he's like, hey, everybody max me
- 20:05Speaker 2: out or don't even think about playing me. So I
- 20:07Speaker 2: think the last year it's not going to go straight
- 20:09Speaker 2: to minimal.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Because he's principled and because he's a journalist tailor, he
- 20:13Speaker 1: is not going to play the games that you, me
- 20:15Speaker 1: and mikey A want to play. We're just saying, operate
- 20:19Speaker 1: under the news that we have from a very credible source.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Shaan's okay, he's the best in the business where he
- 20:24Speaker 1: is saying, indeed that Lebron would play for the league minimal.
- 20:28Speaker 2: All right, I got it.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I mean it's fun when you think about it.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Like the Toronto Raptors yea go be teammates with Kawhi. Yeah,
- 20:34Speaker 2: that one makes sense.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I have the Sun submitting a bid and being like, wow,
- 20:38Speaker 3: we could pare him with Devin Booker, and it's like, yes, Sons,
- 20:41Speaker 3: come on, yeah, he's not going have some respect for yourself.
- 20:43Speaker 2: The Sons do have a delusional owner that thinks that
- 20:45Speaker 2: they're a landing spot, So yeah, that could be a
- 20:48Speaker 2: sad looking bid.
- 20:49Speaker 1: The Pacers, that's not happening, right.
- 20:51Speaker 2: I mean, that'd be interesting, right, they were a year
- 20:54Speaker 2: away from being in the finals. They're bringing back Tyre's
- 20:56Speaker 2: Halbert That what is wild to me, like, is Tyree's
- 20:59Speaker 2: really that good? Where we just think he's gonna come
- 21:02Speaker 2: back next year and the Pacers are gonna be back
- 21:04Speaker 2: in the finals again or at least contending for a
- 21:06Speaker 2: championship that one. I don't know if the math is
- 21:09Speaker 2: mathing on that. Taylor.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Can you see the Celtics? You can, right, mikey A.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Can you see him going to the Celtics?
- 21:15Speaker 2: I can? I can. Yeah.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Are you surprised, mikey A that Taylor has now opened
- 21:21Speaker 1: up his mind to the idea of Lebron James joining
- 21:23Speaker 1: the Knicks.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Huh. I watched it happen over time. I've watched it
- 21:28Speaker 2: be like No, Lebron's not coming. It'd be fun if
- 21:31Speaker 2: Lebron came. Lebron could come.
- 21:35Speaker 3: So what happened in the Lebron situation. I never considered
- 21:40Speaker 3: that he would. Actually, I'm in the izzy camp of
- 21:43Speaker 3: Lebron says he'll take the minimum. I'm gonna need to
- 21:45Speaker 3: see Lebron sign for the minimum before I actually believe it.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Because this Knick situation, it feels like a girl flirted
- 21:53Speaker 3: with me a very long time ago, just just looked
- 21:56Speaker 3: at me one time in the hallway in passing. Yeah,
- 21:58Speaker 3: and in my mind convinced myself, oh wow, I'm gonna
- 22:01Speaker 3: marry this girl someday. And then eventually, you know, my
- 22:03Speaker 3: life goes on. I get married, I have success, the
- 22:07Speaker 3: Knicks win the title, and then this this girl just
- 22:10Speaker 3: walks by again in the street. I'm like, I think
- 22:13Speaker 3: she just looked at me again. Yeah, And I'm in
- 22:16Speaker 3: my mind, I'm like, I'm happy. I'm happy right now.
- 22:18Speaker 1: But I made it without you, Yes, yeah, I made
- 22:20Speaker 1: it without you.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Yes, but she's still available. Yeah, she smiled at you again, yes, yes.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And it's a different time in her life. It's a
- 22:27Speaker 1: different time in your life, but she wants you I
- 22:29Speaker 1: mean she's not just looking, she's yearning for you.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Yes, And I don't have to get divorced in this situation.
- 22:35Speaker 3: It's just the situation where this where this comparison falls apart,
- 22:39Speaker 3: is we could just slide with braun in without you know,
- 22:43Speaker 3: kicking anybody out.
- 22:44Speaker 1: All you have to do is divorce Mitchell Robinson. I mean.
- 22:48Speaker 3: You said I hate Mitchell Robinson or Mitchell Robinson is dead.
- 22:51Speaker 1: To me, Well, he went to the Celtics, man, so.
- 22:54Speaker 3: My mind was already processing that Mitchell Robinson was gonna leave.
- 22:57Speaker 3: It does hurt that he goes to the Celtics. But
- 22:59Speaker 3: the saying once a nick, always a nick, except for
- 23:01Speaker 3: pat Riley. Everybody knows that stands pat Riley. Pat Riley
- 23:04Speaker 3: is actually dead. To me, it feels like the scene
- 23:07Speaker 3: in I Am Legend where Will Smith's dog gets turned
- 23:12Speaker 3: into the zombies and he has to then put the
- 23:15Speaker 3: dog down. That's what it feels like to me where
- 23:17Speaker 3: I'm looking at Mitchell Robinson, I'm being like, man, this
- 23:20Speaker 3: Eastern Conference Finals, I'm gonna hate. It's gonna be you
- 23:22Speaker 3: that we're hacking a Mitch.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, well he did. He did turn into a zombie
- 23:26Speaker 2: over there. But I'm telling you Celtics aren't gonna be
- 23:28Speaker 2: in the Eastern Conference Finals sext year. I think things
- 23:30Speaker 2: are falling apart for that team. I don't even know
- 23:32Speaker 2: what they're gonna get back for Jalen Brown, but they're
- 23:34Speaker 2: gonna find out really quickly that Jalen Brown's a heart.
- 23:37Speaker 2: That was the heart and soul of that team, and
- 23:40Speaker 2: I just I just think they're going to head in
- 23:42Speaker 2: the wrong direction once they move off from him.
- 23:43Speaker 1: You would agree forty seven point four million dollars is
- 23:47Speaker 1: the most money a guy with no hands has ever
- 23:49Speaker 1: made in the NBA?
- 23:50Speaker 2: Right, how much did Joel Anthony make in his career
- 23:54Speaker 2: that he had for hands? Is he?
- 23:58Speaker 3: We have breaking NBA news too?
- 24:00Speaker 2: Oh wow?
- 24:00Speaker 1: Do we have a sounder?
- 24:02Speaker 3: No?
- 24:02Speaker 2: Okay, damn freaking sound.
- 24:05Speaker 3: After being waived by the Orlando Magic, Jonathan Isaac signs
- 24:09Speaker 3: a one year deal with the Orlando Magic.
- 24:14Speaker 2: He lives on their bench, that's his address. Wait a second,
- 24:19Speaker 2: it wasn't for a longer deal. It was just for
- 24:21Speaker 2: another one year deal. Yes, what's the money on that?
- 24:24Speaker 2: Did he at least get a raised? I got I
- 24:26Speaker 2: hope he got a raise because otherwise, what the heck
- 24:28Speaker 2: is he doing. That's his that's his address.
- 24:33Speaker 1: When you want to mail something to him, you sent
- 24:35Speaker 1: it to One Bench Plaza, Orlando, Florida.
- 24:41Speaker 2: He's back.
