- 0:10[SPEAKER_02]: You're listening to Mile High Insiders.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_02]: Here we go, Broncos Country.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_02]: It is Wednesday nights.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: week number two in the regular season uh can we still say it's it's not victory Monday it's not victory is victory Wednesday does that exist?
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know we're kind of on the field 100 the next page if you will right with the Indianapolis Colts we got a lot of leftovers to sift through with the Tennessee Titans who are we we are M.H.I.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm one half of M.H.I.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: I am Luke Patterson joined with me as always is Thomas Hall Tom you start the season
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: with a win, want to know at home the first time Sean Peyton is one at home since coming to the Denver Broncos.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_02]: How we feel it?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: Feeling pretty good on one hand and not so good on the other, obviously, there's going to be some kinks to work out.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not too worried, but I'll say the defense.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care if they're playing the Titans or whoever they're playing, that performance was amazing.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: The offense has got some work to do.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I have to say.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: Off at this rough, we're going to get into it.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: How should concerns should you be Broncos country?
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think about Bonax?
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk about some of those turnovers.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Payton, what is going on with some of the play calling?
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: We can't get placed into the hotdog, the lay a game.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: I got Bonax thrown his defense.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get into all of that and more.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: I want to hear Broncos country reaction as well.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: Then we got to get to Daniel Jones.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm going to give you my thoughts on the Indianapolis
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: Um, it's he's three keys, Charmed in a decent job listening to my keys to victory last week.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what coach in the Denver Broncos do when it's released tomorrow at milehahuddle.com.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_02]: But, uh, no, man, it's good to start with a win.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I took a little shot at Broncos country the other day, at least half of them because I saw so many people upset.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: that you know it wasn't a perfect and clean win.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: We thought that the Tennessee Titans would come over here and roll over and that didn't happen.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: The Titans defense played well.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos offense played even worse.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: It was just a Denver dominant defensive day.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: Who were you most impressed by on Vance Joseph's defense Tom?
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: Because it was one of my takeaways, man.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: Right when you don't
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right when you think that the Broncos defense, they're the best they can be, they're disciplined, they're ferocious, they fly around the ball, they double and triple down and look faster and meaner, at least against the Titans.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the past rush was relentless.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, unbelievable, I thought.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I really don't have like one player that I think was just absolutely
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: you got everybody getting in on the action pretty much.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: I thought overall the team the whole defense just was on fire.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean they gave up negative yardage in the second half of the football game.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care who you're playing that's awesome.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean incredible.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: So whatever the you know whatever the hype was that the Broncos had about this defense going into the season they came out
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: They dominated.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: The Titans.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't even been close.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: Had the Broncos offense not coughed up.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Four times?
- 3:34[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and we got to talk about that.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: We got to talk about the play calling.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: I have a bone to pick with Sean Peyton.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: And we will get into that and just a bit here on MHI.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: We want to hear from you, Broncos Country, sound off.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking tightens leftovers.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get to the injury report today.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: The first big one in the week, right?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for a big Sunday game.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: In Indianapolis, we're going to get you to the cults.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: We are also going to have some predictions.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: Tee some keys to victory as well.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: David, what's going on David kicking us off here and exclusive member of the MHH community head on over to YouTube and smash the subscribe button.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: Good evening, Broncos Country.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: We are well on our way Thomas Hall to 13 and 4.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: It starts with one.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: It starts with one.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they got out of the gate.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, even though it was a rough start for the offense, they still won.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: And that's that's what you need.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: You need you need to have wins, even though you're not playing great early on.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: So that as you start to pick up speed, you start to get the offense in sync, you know, playing at a level that is comparable, or at least partially as good as
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: The defense as you get through the year, you're going to start getting more wins.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: But if you play awful and end up losing it for a couple of games, you're already in the hole.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: So getting that win was important.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: I know it was the Titans, but they still won pretty soundly, even though the offense was terrible.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: offense was horrible.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: The play calling was rough.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: It was just starting off by passing.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: Let's, you know, reinvent the wheel and out.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: Think everybody sloppy and rushed.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: Bow was a roller coaster of emotion.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_02]: It just didn't look fun.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't look like it was an offense that was ready to play on game day while I can appreciate some of the adjustments.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: Duce Vaughn is apparently a Denver Bronco Tom.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you saw the former Dallas Cowboy signed on the practice squad yesterday I believe.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: with the Broncos so I don't know man it's JK Dobbins welcome to Broncos country and impressive touchdown run bounced off of a few tacklers inside I liked that I was happy to see it and then quadzilla finally got some carries as well both these guys average well over almost six yards per carry um
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: There was no reason not to lean on your brand new toys Sean Peyton.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: I just can't figure it out Tom and that's probably one of the biggest reasons why I was hoping coach would draft a first round running back.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you trade up to get genty.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe getting stamped in a little bit.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: who knows you can't go back and rewrite history.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: I was just hoping that if Coach had a first round running back, he would feel obligated at least to run the football.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: I am so tired Tom of getting up of listening Coach come up there.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's shopping with everybody else.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: God forbid anybody's shopping with him, right?
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a Sean Peyton guy.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: but he talks about balance, Tom.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: He talks about it and he's only about it for about half the football game.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: I need coach to listen to himself, follow directions, run the ball.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Sean Peyton is the many run games have tried to tie him down, but he is he just won't commit it's just the way it is man he just won't do it so we can have to deal with that we're just going to have to sit back watch the offense throw the ball more than they run it, but I was impressed with RJ Harvey
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: uh as a rookie first game out of the gate came out looked pretty impressive to me uh what you know people were hoping he would be in that first game so there's a lot of good things to work on um obviously they need to work out some of the kinks uh get a little bit better uh with can you know keeping the whole of the ball kit you know one of them you know fumbles make sure you're not there in receptions you got to keep those turnovers to a minimum
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: But that's the thing, they're gonna improve.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: So even though it was a pretty crappy performance coming out of the gate, they should get him be improved and you should see that that sort of stuff gets cleaned up and they're gonna be a much better team in two or three weeks from now.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: Boom, David Young can come in another exclusive member of the MHH community over on YouTube.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: Very generous for 99.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, sir.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: Good evening.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: The team, even good teams have looked like crap.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: Case in point, Kansas City and week one.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: Relax.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: David, you're right.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's something I've talked about this week too.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_02]: Something I have to write down and remind myself, football looks a little rough in the NFL for a lot of teams.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_02]: Very rarely do you get the one or the two that just
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: are firing on all cylinders and usually those teams that start so hot usually fizzle at the end of the year.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's just it's a weird roller coaster at the NFL season.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: How much stock do you put into the offense struggling?
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: David's not worried about it.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: He thinks it's going to be okay.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with David, but that's only going to go so far.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: You can only kick the can down the road until you get got over and over and over and over again and teams will figure you out.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: Will the Indianapolis cults figure out a Sean Peyton offense
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, who knows, man, you might come out in the offense, might be slinging the ball for four touchdowns.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: You never know.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: Need for that timing so to speak with the receivers and all that when you're running the ball So if you can establish the run that takes a lot of pressure off a bone nicks and you know He's obviously a good quarterback.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't look great out there This last week, but he's still you know from what I saw last year He was a good good quarterback.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: He'll figure it out he'll get back in sync, but to help him
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: But in, you know, to take to bridge that gap until they get the offer, not run the ball a little bit more.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: That would be very helpful.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, remember how slow they started last year, guys.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's it's football.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: You never know what's going to happen, but here's the thing guys football is back.

- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get into the entry report here in just a little bit.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's on, but it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I'm still feeling good.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: It was when I, to those that are frustrated, I understand, to those that are just ridiculous, what?
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: Would you rather look great and lost the game?
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: Have the team lose the game?
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: That's silly, right?
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: Then we don't need to do that.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: Remember the whole that they started in last year in 2024.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't until they came down to Tampa to get things going.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: And it's tough, Tom, as you know, to win on the road.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's tough to win at home.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's tough to just play in the NFL and exist.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: uh... it's you get left behind real quick so i am grateful that the broncos at least one their home opener i was excited to see the crowd right i was excited to see broncos country uh... believe in their team getting ready fight and hard i hear all the time time about bills mafia
- 11:54[SPEAKER_02]: Bill's Mafia and Bill's Mafia and tables and chicken wings and all that's silly.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's all cool.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: That's good, right?
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: But all y'all are leaving the stadium when your team is still on the field.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand at time one of the best comebacks.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: I saw Buffalo and Baltimore, right?
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: And those people are leaving the stadium
- 12:11[SPEAKER_02]: They're they're ditching their team on week one.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_02]: I know Broncos country was frustrated, but the energy it looked electric man.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's something special when my high magic is back at that stadium.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's taken a stadium's Tom a little birdie is saying that the Broncos are in a new stadium possibly in 2031.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they seem like they set a lot of spot.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: They seem like they are pulling the trigger and they're building the stadium that can have super bowls, have all sorts of great events with a retractable roof water stand.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: So that's cool.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: I love going to where my high used to be, even though it's a new stadium, but it's time to build something state of the art.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: You know, with all the deep pockets that the ownership has, time to throw that money out there and start building new stadium.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_02]: Walmart money, those city and residents of Denver won't have to pay taxes into it.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that was pretty neat, man.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_02]: I could remember being a kid and, you know, going to breakfast with my folks and on the newspaper, it would be talking about that.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: And how fans felt about in Vesco field at the time, right?
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: Pitching in on in Vesco field.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's interesting how some of that works.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say it.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: I've said it a million times.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'll continue to say it.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's a very interesting and fortunate position for Broncos country to be in in the fact that the Walton Panner ownership group.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: They spare no expense, Tom, on anything.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: They're coached their roster when it comes time to extending guys, when it comes time to equipping the whole state.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, every state football program is hooked up via the Walton Pender Ownership Group in terms of equipment, whatever it is that they need, they're big in their community.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's cool to have a decent ownership group, so to speak.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: I've got some questions, I've got some concerns about the stadium, but none of that matters this year.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: Hell doesn't even matter next year.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: NFL season is underway.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos have to win and they have to win early.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: We know this FC West is going to be competitive.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, I don't know.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: Did you watch the Chargers Chiefs game?
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: Would you make of it?
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: It was interesting, man.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, don't get me wrong.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: I love the C Kansas City go down, right?
- 14:18[SPEAKER_02]: But the Chargers, we got to keep our eye on the AFC West.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: The nice thing about the AFC West, at least for now, Tom, the Chiefs are at the very bottom with the rate of
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, let's just get make sure we get one thing perfectly clear.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: You don't win the Super Bowl in September.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: There's been a lot of teams that have come out hot, won a bunch of games in September, and then getting, you know, not even making the playoffs.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see give it a couple games, see where they're at, but it definitely helps to have the number one contender, so to speak, for the FC West, already a game behind.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I do worry about the chargers.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: They look pretty good, but let's let's get in Doctober and you'll start to see the real contenders start to distance themselves from the the fake contenders, the pretenders.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and correct me if I'm wrong, because your stats guy, and Scott has a phenomenal memory as well.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: Does a Sean do really well in October?
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: I thought there was like some little thing around like whatever his career is.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: He does okay in October, a very important month if you will, Tom, so you're on to something there.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of an important guy, filming the Loftland win in over on Facebook, a generous supporter of MHI.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: Every Wednesday night here at 6 p.m.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: Mountain, good evening, Thomas, Luke, and D.K.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Look.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Look.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: You got to talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's all right, Phil, we'll give you a little help for it.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'd see we signed another running back to the practice squad.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: But why?
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: It seems like we got plenty of runaway backs that we are not using.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, Sean won't use the guys he's got.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: Phil's on to, yeah, he goes out of his way to sign a former cowboy running back induced bond to the Broncos practice squad.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_02]: Talk to us.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, you always got to be making those moves.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: If they like a guy bring him on that that's fine, but you're right, Phil.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like you've got you have four active running backs and you know, you hardly used them.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: So even though they were playing great.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, 150 yards rushing, whatever.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you might as well, you might as well give them a few more carries, but I was a little disappointed in in not not the running game, but the running backs in the passing game, but day in particular, he.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that drop that should have been a touchdown, that off of that screen early in the game would have kind of changed the the whole face of what we're talking about now they would have got a touchdown they would have had more you know more enthusiasm probably would have you know scored a few more points been a little better off, but hey that stuff that's got to work out in September.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: I thought immediately just like you Tyler Badeh is going to be the sacrificial lamb for Sean Payton here in a week one man and say, well, it wasn't me, it was Tyler Badeh and I'm being a little fussy.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously Coach comes out there and then he owns it, right?
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: But like, you can't own it every single week and starting in week what?
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get the week 17 and we're still going to be talking about man.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: I got to be balanced.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: got to be better, just got to be better.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just like coach, we get it.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: You can't be a Super Bowl champion in an offensive with and also not understand balance in a football game and just talk about it into the microphone.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's very frustrating to me, Tom.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, forgive me if I'm not super thrilled that the dude's one is on the the practice squad.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I like you thought Tyler Bride, a lot left a lot to be desired while I was excited to see RJ Harvey and JK Dobbins do well.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_02]: They can do better too.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I think they were certainly the silver lining of that offense.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Cortland Sutton 6 Reception 61 yards in a study.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Cortland look great Tom.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm very critical of the guy I get after him a lot here on this show, but man, Cortland looked amazing, Troy Franklin, don't get mixed in just a little bit.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that'll work for reception for 44 yards.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: What do you make of the receivers?
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: Because Marvin Mims and the pump return will get to that here in just a little bit.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 18:26[SPEAKER_02]: What do you make of the new Broncos receivers, at least with Troy Franklin and King of the Cortland son?
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, well, Carl and Sutton, you know, he expected him to be playing well, obviously a veteran.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: Troy Franklin, I thought, you know, he was a preseason darling.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: I thought maybe there might be some reality kicking in when it comes to regular season, but it wasn't.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: He looked good out there.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I was pretty happy with, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: a couple of receivers performances but you know just out of sync still everything was not not quite running on all cylinders and that'll get better with time but so far I mean right Franklin man I'm really impressed with him what for two reasons number one
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think he was going to mad amount to much after I saw his first year.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: It just didn't think he had what had what it took, but he went out and he did what needed he'd done to get better for this season, stronger, bigger, you know, he put the work in.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very impressed with him.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely not dropping any balls.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: So that's that's the big reason and then and then then number two He came out in a second season in real games get first game the season and perform even in a sub you know support role So I was impressed.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think he's got a pretty bright future for a fourth round pit
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: Here's something I'm concerned about immediately.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: You're right.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: The white court and something look good.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the other white receivers, right?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: We're still waiting for the arrival of some of these guys.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: But like Evan Ingraham, man, what's going on with Evan Ingraham?
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: Tommy, he leaves the game.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't do much.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_02]: What three receptions for 21 yards off of.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: four total targets.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's a little silly.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't he's we're number one.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: We talk about him being this Joker, this playmaker, if you will, and we're left with the performance where we needed more tight-its.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: And as we look at the injury reports today, I'm disappointed and I'm frustrated.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: Because you got two tight-ends on their first of all.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: You got everything grum who was taking out of that game with a calf injury.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: Now, he was limited, but Nate Atkins still dealing with that ankle, didn't practice, Evan Ingraham, limited in practice.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited to see that he was out there, but man, talk about an underwhelming performance.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get after a couple of the Broncos receivers in the running backs.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, how about the tight end that Sean just had to have?
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: There's our unicorn.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_02]: No volume on Tom's mic.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: as we work through some audio issues.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get back to David again.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: JFM, Jonathan Franklin Myers, speaking of the injury report, Tom.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: He's also injured.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: Ingram, he's injured.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: It just seems like we can't catch a break on the tight end room and no one can break out.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm with you, David.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's starting to feel like there's a little bit of a curse with the Broncos tight ends when it comes to health.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: You either get the ones that are, you know, like, serviceable guys, like an Adam trout man, or you get these guys to have a lot of talent who are just always in the injury room, which one of those is Evan Ingraham?
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's hope that he's not the often impaired tie-in that you're speaking of.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was limited today, which is a good sign that he's going to hopefully be able to play this coming weekend.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the injury report,
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: to me was bad because there were some starters on there.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: But number one, well, Greenlaw was already hurt.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: We already knew that.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: It really the only new person that's a starter that's on their besides Ingram is John of Franklin Myers.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: So let's give it another day, see if they are limited tomorrow before we really start to worry.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: However, I think,
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: that the defense can survive another week without green law or without Franklin Myers.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think they've got a good enough depth, good enough rotation on the defensive line, that he can be out this Sunday.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they can survive for a long amount of time without Jonathan Franklin Myers.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's a great player.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: Really good pick up and really great in the
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, he was he was out there, you know, so it was good.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the defensive line is banged up.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Franklin Myers wrote was out, you know, he was hurt banged up last week.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: Franklin Myers this week.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: Roach is good.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: Roach is good this week.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: So he is he is, but you've got to have that rotation man on that defensive line.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: You can't be thin.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to keep those, those, you know, those.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: Folks rotating in and out keeping fresh.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: So if they, you know, if they get hurt, that's going to affect that rotation.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: So let's, let's hope that Franklin Myers is back and it's not anything too serious.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: one here's the thing this defense is playing at a high level, but I don't want to instantly jump through the conclusion that well because the defense is so great because it leads the league in sex, right?
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: Because it looks a little nastier at least against a rookie quarterback in week one, right?
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like it looks good.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: So that automatically means a veteran inside lineback or like
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: I start it there, we're talking about shaking rust off, we're talking about a player who hasn't practiced in a long time, Tom.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if we need to get like a number of days that Drake Greenlaw hasn't practiced or a tracker going or what.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: This was my favorite free agent.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_02]: And he hasn't seen the field.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm upset by it.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Sean can sit there in the mic and say, you're going to see him quote sooner rather than later.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: And you can read about it over
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's tough because Broncos country wants to meet their new inside linebacker.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's tough to do when he's not available on Sundays.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, with a veteran like him, you would think that he could step in and play pretty well, even in some absence that he's had, but you know, you're right.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to have shake some rust off.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, he'll be stepping into a defense that it was playing lights out.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think they can afford to him for him to be a little bit rusty because he is definitely an upgrade over the other starter, or either with Sternad or whoever else they want to put out there.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's an upgrade even if he is a rusty.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I think adding him in as soon as possible is going to make this defense even better.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: And again, you want, you want that
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: you want this at the end of the season, not early, you want them to be good.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: So if it takes them a little bit while to get healthy, knock the rust off fine, come October, November, December, he better be ready to play because that's when they're going to, that's like I said, that's when you start to make that push for the playoffs.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: the meat and potatoes of the season, if you will, and Roy Osborne went in.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, Marvin Mims didn't look that good.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, hard.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: No kid, man.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: What's going on with them?
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: The month punt was it just bad juju in the stadium, because above and some of his turnovers, what was it with Marvin Mims?
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: Because he couldn't really get his footing.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: And,
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: before I go away from Marvin Mims, I'd be remiss by covering up Jolinho McLaughlin, right?
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: Our two little guys, some of the Denver Broncos often, Jolinho didn't even shoot up.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: So, what's with Marvin Mims, his specialty is being a proble returner, and he's muffin balls.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's not good, bad turnovers, and adding to the bad juge you a few over the Broncos.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: And what's the deal with Jolinho?
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: Just had to keep him, but I guess he's not good enough to be active.
- 26:02[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, it's fine.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, number one, they're not going to suit a bunch of all the running backs up.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: They, they like, but they better.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think he played better than McLaughlin going through preseason and everything.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: So they wanted him out there.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're going to keep, I don't think they're going to suit McLaughlin up until they need to.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_02]: they need to and I can't believe I was going to say that but time you write I mean like they're only as good as the runs that Sean's going to call me really doesn't matter if it's Tyler or Julia does it I mean they got to figure out if they want to run the ball if they're just going to say hey we think we can run the ball that'd be nice
- 26:38[SPEAKER_01]: I do want to go back to one thing because I want to go back to Malcolm Roach for just a second.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: Malcolm Roach is on IR.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: Short-term IR, so to speak, or whatever.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's out.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: So, if Franklin Myers isn't healthy and doesn't, I bet.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: No, he's not.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's done for four weeks.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: But what I'll say is if they don't sign another defensive lineman this week, then Jonathan Franklin Myers is probably going to be okay.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: But if they have to scramble to get another defensive lineman or they maybe they'll call one up from the practice squad possibly, but we'll see what moves they make that all kind of tell how Franklin Myers is doing.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: So defensive line, they need that rotation, but you're right.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: When it comes to the running backs,
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, whoever they suit up, they got to use them.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: They need to use them more.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: Especially with how they were playing.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm there playing quite well Why why are you I understand if the last year you couldn't get any of them going they weren't playing very good.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: You had to rely on bone nicks.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: I get it this year.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't look like
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: You need to.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like you can get some production out of the running game.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: So let's let's do that.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know, in the first half, I think it was what 16 17, maybe even 22 passes to like seven runs in the first half.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: It was pretty lopsided.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: And so.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: Let's be a little bit more balanced.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get the running backs out there.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to give you the the best chance to win, which I think they had those three out there, other than but a dropping that, you know, that sure probably going to be a touchdown most likely the way it was set up.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: So again, first game of the year, Kingsley get worked out.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully, we'll see you better performance.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully this week.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then going forward.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: But Michael Rinkillo coming in over on YouTube.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, Ron?
- 28:23[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, man.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully you and yours are doing well out there in a Z. Good evening Thomas and Luke on the Mahai Insiders.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: Go, Bo, Broncos, and to add to the generosity of Michael Rinkillo.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: He has officially gifted five.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: Mile High Huddle memberships to Broncos Country.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: That means five of y'all will become Mile High Huddle members where you can get exclusive Mile High Huddle content that you cannot get anywhere else.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: Very generous Mike.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you very much, man.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: That was very, very kind of you.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: Always taking care of each other, Tom, and it's something we got to do better at, right?
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: We're taking care of each other.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_02]: We got to do better at that in every aspect of our lives on this planet.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to thank Broncos Country for being with us every Wednesday night.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_02]: Come, L.R.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: High Water.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: We are talking football.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: We are talking Denver Broncos.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_02]: With our friends.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: We are having fun.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_02]: We are getting into it.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're debating.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: We're arguing.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting after Tom.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: He's rubbing it right back in my face.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: Scott, you weren't here.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: He was celebrating an anniversary, right?
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: But our official predictions, Tom, how about that?
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm still
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: I said 12.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_02]: I said 12.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_02]: I went 11, right?
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to see Scott, where'd you end up, man?
- 29:43[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's a good real quick flat, not sure.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: 50 per 12, 11, 11, 11, 11, that means 11.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: 11 wins.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: It does start with one.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, tell me why the Broncos shouldn't overlook the cults because I think a lot of us and we all picked the Broncos the win, I believe, at my high huddle.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: So we're all 1 and 0 in our round table picks, state tuned, Friday morning for our next prediction.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_02]: But should the Broncos take it easy on the cults?
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: Aaron, think that we've got a defense that's going to crush Daniel Jones.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: We can afford to cough it up two or three times.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: What do you make of this cold team in this Denver, Rocky?
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, first of all, they can't overlook anybody because in the NFL, the any given Sunday is, it's a true term.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like, everybody,
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: even a bad team, it is not that far off from a good team, you know, from beating a good team.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: So you can't overlook anybody, but the cult's just won a game.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm there one their first game.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not like, it's not like they're coming out and looking awful and terrible and, you know, that they're going to be a pushover, they beat a Miami Dolphins team that I think was supposed to be pretty good.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they've been pretty decent the last couple of years.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: No they haven't come to it doesn't know what he's at dear Mike McDaniel doesn't have the respect of his team before we got on the show I'm getting what tweet alerts fantasy alerts that Tyre Kill in trouble for something allegedly imagine that the dog that's hard to imagine I'm scared you prop up the dolphins like you know the cult's stomping them is nothing but you're right they they want a decisive game people are whispering about Daniel Jones
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Daniel Jones, come back and it's not happening.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: Give you a quick teaser for one of my keys.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: It is not happening.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: This Broncos defense is Johnson, if you will, to get after this cult's quarterback, it's gonna be nasty.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: Fairy tales do not always exist in the NFL and Daniel Jones is gonna find that out on Sunday.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, with the Broncos password, that's the problem with Daniel Jones.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: You get him a little flustered.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: He starts throwing picks.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's who he is.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I think if the Broncos past rushes is good, is it looks so far.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to get after him.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to mess up, and you're going to see the Broncos real fluster.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: However, the Broncos offense can't give the cult's offense for extra chances, like they did last week, and expect their defense to bail them out.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: I put it on the Broncos offense to be a little bit better, and the defense to still look as good as they look.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they may not look as good statistic wise, but they've got the makings of a really great defense going on.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not too worried about Daniel Jones, you know, if the Broncos can apply that past rush that we saw last week.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's going to be fun.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a lot of, um, I don't know.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's going to be a challenging game.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: I do.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think this is going to be a blowout game for the Broncos.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: The NFL's tough.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like you talked about Tom, but I mean, there's a lot of...
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: things, personal little things that the Broncos have to clean up if they're going to be a true champion at the end of the season, if they want to contend for a championship, you can't be getting these delays of game penalties.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_02]: These illegal motions, these holding calls, as you know, any penalty, absolutely kills you.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: The refs are automatically never going to be working with you, right, especially if you're a Denver Bronco player.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know Tom, you can't just pretend that those things didn't happen, right?
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I think of the water boy as Julie pretends.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: But I wonder if practice this week, other than installing Sean's new vision of a wonderful offense to beat the cults.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: Did we practice some of the basics, right?
- 33:40[SPEAKER_02]: Remember everybody making fun of Russell Wilson and the whole stadium doing the countdown?
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need to have flashbacks to that.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: I've got Russell Wilson PTSD Tom.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: I do, triggers me.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need that with Bonix.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: Are we going to see some of those little things clean up?
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: I hear you.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about a defense that's going to crush Daniel Jones.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: Patrick Sartan, get yourself one.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: Baby, this is for you.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_02]: But talk to me a little bit about these stub your toe moments that can ultimately kill the Broncos if they don't clean them up.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they have to, but you know, guess it's that they didn't play that much in the preseason.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think so, you know, the first couple weeks of the season you work out those kinks, those mistakes, and then you start to get better.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: I was surprised that the chemistry wasn't as good as it could have been, mostly because the offensive line is the same offensive line as last year.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: You got a lot of returning players.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: I know there's a couple of different things mixed in and out there.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I just surprised me that the chemistry wasn't there, but that had a lot to do with they didn't play that much in the preseason.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think they played any in the second game.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: They played a bit in the third game.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, so you know, you've got to with that short and preseason.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: You got to work out those kinks in the regular season the first couple.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, weeks of the season and it's nice that you got to win while doing it.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: So that's what's important.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: You got the win, working out the kings.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I'd like to see the basics, the mental mistakes that is the kind of stuff that drives me nuts and that is, that's something that they should be working on every day and practice, not, you know, not the fancy stuff, it's the mental stuff.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: And I know we didn't see this, but what you're trying to say is don't call a flea flicker.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: If you can't break a bottle, is that kind of the vibe I'm picking from your time?
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let's perfect the little things right before we become the next second coming of the Bill Walsh Walsh office.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: Cody Jobs coming in an exclusive member.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: If you will over on YouTube, what's up?
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: Cody's been a minute.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully you and yours are well.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: Look guys, I'm not worried about Jones, but man, Jonathan Taylor, he's a worry.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's the thing.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: You got Malcolm Roach out maybe draws in Franklin Myers out.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you you do kind of worry about that.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully green log is back, but if not, I mean you got to go with you got to go with what you got and my thought is.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: as long as you got by the way, it's pretty damn good, Tom.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's all right.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_02]: You got to go with what you got.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: You got Zach Allen and I know you can't stand in palm.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: You hate him.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: DJ Jones is going to be fine.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_02]: God, you can't stand DJ Jones.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_02]: I know that your guy was decaying.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm troubled a little while ago, but you got to let that go, Tom.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't be baseball.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_01]: I like DJ Jones.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: I am getting a bad rap here because I have never said a DJ Jones.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: But what I'll say about Jonathan Taylor, if they can just, you know, limit it and he's going to get his yards, but as long as he isn't the one that wins the game for him running all over him, that's okay.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure that you force Daniel Jones to make quite a few passes, just enough so you can get that password going.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: Just don't let him run wild.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think you'll be okay.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and well, and that's a good point, Tom.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: Bans Joseph's defense historically have had trouble stopping the run.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: Not so much the other day against the titans, but each game tells a different story.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, it is a mile high insider.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: So, M.A.J., you can catch it every Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_02]: Mountain.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: Just wrapping up some titans and leftovers, getting into some cults a little bit.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: We've talked injury report.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: We could talk doze-von.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: I suppose if you will, what that means to the running back room, a transaction.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos Stadium, how are we feeling about that?
- 37:23[SPEAKER_02]: I know the fellas did a show last night reacting to the new stadium news for 2031 times are crazy Man, it's it's I can remember being a kid with in best go and changing the name.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just now getting used to calling it in power field.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, I'm going to leave.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_02]: What a monstrosity built by the Walton Penner ownership group is going to be called.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure they won't have any trouble finding a sponsor.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: Do you remember that when the Broncos were so bad that nobody wanted to put their name on the stadium?
- 37:51[SPEAKER_02]: My how we have come a far away from that Thomas Hall.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think Empower has a long, pretty long contract.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think to name the stadium, but if they, if the Walden Panner group wanted to do something really fantastic, they would not go with a sponsor and they name it Pat Bowling Stadium and just leave it at that.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the thing though, they're gonna have to pay for that.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I hear they're paying for it all out of pocket.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: So they get a lot of money.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: They do have a lot of the richest people in the world.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's nothing to them.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: But for you, the name rights and do the right thing.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: Drop the bucket for the Walton Panner ownership group.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: Our guy, Jean is coming in over on MHI.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: Mean Jean over on Facebook.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: What is up, Jean William?
- 38:41[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you so much, guys.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: You can watch us on Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, X. Wherever you get your streaming content, we have got your back.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, man?
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: Can't wait for Sunday.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: I've been counting down the days.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_02]: Do we know if Evan Ingraham is going to be back at time?
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: Jean, I am right there with you, man.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: When it's Wednesday night, I'm geeked up for the show.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm right in keys to victory.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: We're looking at some charting of the plays.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: A little bit of film here and there.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's Thursday night football.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: After we're done here on MHI.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: And then yeah, you've got those weird little international games that are coming around.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: You had the Brazil game on Friday college football.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: Scott, I know you're a big college football guy.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: What a weekend in college football.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's Sunday.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos Day.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos V. Colts.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: Dean is fired up.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, Jean.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: I've got a bad feeling.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think Evan Ingraham's going to go against the Colts.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: What say you, Tom?
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking forward to him do I think he might do it.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's he was limited.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think the work it out.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: It'll put him out there I mean because they don't they don't have anything else they need him to be out there So I don't have a feeling either way.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: I just I feel like if he wasn't gonna play he would have been a no practice on Wednesday But since he was limited.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think that kind of Kiji and a little bit that he might be okay comes Sunday
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how he's feeling after that limited practice today.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_02]: It just feels to me like they're being overly cautious a little bit with some of these guys.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if that's the case with green lawn.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if any of that.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's jating me a little bit right with this seven-ingering thing like man.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just preparing myself so I'm not disappointed.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: I was surprised Tom I was I was surprised that England kind of left the game and wasn't really a big influence in it at all now Yeah, especially we can't just let him off the hook right.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: I just got done yelling at Sean Payton for throwing the ball too much But it could not be throwing for 40 42 times right against the cult every single week
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's not conducive to what this defense does best.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: Turnovers will happen.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's just part of the nature of this game.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_02]: For me, I'm just frustrated.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm frustrated because I thought this would be the building blocks that we would see for this offense.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: And when Sean goes crazy wanting to throw the ball and Evan Ingraham's not really even involved,
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: He's not clicking.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody's clicking except Troy Franklin and Cortland Sutton.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's just it's disappointing and it's frustrating and I hear you.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's early.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be all right.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: But we got to get these veterans on the field now.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: This is supposed to be an easier, if you believe in such a thing, an easier beginning of the schedule for the Broncos.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: What better way to acclimate your new team and your new offense or your new defense than being in that game if you are available?
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: I hope you're right.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: I hope Evan Ingraham goes,
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: So far, pretty underwhelming for most of the offense.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's the thing, too, is the last year the running game didn't work.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: So they had to pass.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now the running game was working, and the passing game was kind of at a sink.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: Why would you not lean more on your running game?
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it was just, I want to get this thing right.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of thing, maybe that's what it was thinking.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but now's the time to get a lean on your your running game.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: for my perspective more than your passing game while you figure it out.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't get it.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's just not, he's not a run-first type of guy and he hasn't been.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: So until you get, like you said, till he gets that shiny new run-back toy that he wants to show that everybody in the NFL, how great he is at picking a shiny new running-back.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he won't, maybe he'll just keep passing it.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's just it.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: And there's something to be said for that.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: There's a time in a place.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I think Sean thinks my offense is so good.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: My quarterback is so prepared and dialed in to his players that we have the ability to throw the ball.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: And instead of rushing for a two or three yard gain, we're able to get a two or three yard reception.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a little silly.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's just speculation.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna try to get guys in space with separation that could potentially turn a two to three yard gain into what?
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: A four to six yard gain?
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to play the psychic game of Sean Payton and figure out why the hell he's doing what he's doing.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_02]: But he needs to drop his bad habits.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm writing about Sean Payton's bad habits.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: You read about it tomorrow.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: over on maohahoodle.com.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: I've got a solution.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: Got a solution for Sean.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's really simple.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: I spell it out for him.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: I give you all that key to that success tomorrow morning.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: Maohahoodle, Jean circling back around over on Facebook.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, Jean?
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks a lot, man.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to chime in for our guy, Ralph.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: Ralph Bray's girdle.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure he's going to listen tomorrow.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_02]: The other question.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_02]: What is your prediction for the Broncos next three games?
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, we are looking at a road trip.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: against the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday, and then the following Sunday, the Broncos hit the road again, back to back road games, they're playing those damn L.A.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: Chargers in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 21, followed by Monday night football, a homecoming, the Cincinnati Bengals come to town from Monday, September 29th game.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: Give it to me Tom Colts, Chargers Bengals, what's the win loss record look like?
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: They go two and one, their defense is just it's so good that it keeps them in the game even if they're Offensive struggling for most part and then you know, they play a couple good teams.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think they I think they might drop that one to the Chargers, but then they'll come back and and take care of business at home against the bangles.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: I completely agree with you.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think this is going to be a tough game, but I think it's going to be a win in Indianapolis on Sunday, reverse this Indie curse, right?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos don't do very well, Tom, and I wrote about it that's coming out tomorrow.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: They don't do very well, man, and then go back and I take a little a little look at history now.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't necessarily mean anything for this 2025 football team, but the colds Broncos storylines throughout the year is man, they're so rich and those roots go so deep and it's fun to kind of re-explore some of that stuff, but when you re-exploring it you remember man, the Broncos
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: They struggle in Indy.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: No matter what happens, it's just the tough place for the orange and blue to pick up a win.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think what the, one of the last times they did, I think was 2017, maybe just before that was at the 2016 season, even the 2015 season.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: When it keep to leave is poking people in the eye.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, like, those were 10 years ago, man.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: Since the broadcast did super, super good, right?
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: In Indianapolis.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's always fun to talk about that.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: Cody Dubbs coming in.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I like the way who fun good play against the run.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_02]: It was like having another line back around the field.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: He was in on just about every single tackle.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: Good point, Cody.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't bring up who fun guy.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what's your make of the new team captain, your newest Bronco safety?
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, there's no doubt he's a great player.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: More, the worry is, can he stay healthy?
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: But he was out there.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_01]: He was flying around.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: I was impressed with the way he played.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very impressed with his run support.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: I just think he's an impact player there in the secondary that goes really, it's a really good compliment to Brandon Jones.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's what was lacking last year.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, PJ Lock was an okay player.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: One-two punch out there, they compliment each other well, and he's he was a great pick-up.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: And now I'm only gonna knock on wood because he needs to stay healthy through the season so we can see that into the postseason.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: Cody, that was an awesome point man.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so glad that you brought that up.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: Who fun?
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: Go look great.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: You guys are right.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the energy.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_02]: And you always got to watch for those guys.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: What do I mean by those guys?
- 46:24[SPEAKER_02]: The nice guys.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: What did gentlemen?
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: Did you see these interviews with this guy?
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's so humble.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: He reminded me a little bit of the smiling assassin in that fact.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like such a nice guy.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's just such a monster on the field.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the dude was playing aggressive lights out football.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: slept up a couple times couple ms when you look at the film but who doesn't write it is week one i think ultimately him and john's figuring each other out a little bit that defensive secondary looked great lances a piece up at mall hi-hattle dot com right now a film spot on Riley Moss i believe so Riley had a a stellar game in his own right ps2 jad a bear and welcome to the Denver Broncos welcome to NFL football um
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: usually the first round picked on is scrutinized at every level today's just kind of blending in I did not a ton of storyline with the jade bear in the Broncos newest rookie corner from Texas What do you think you were right Tom?
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean more of a nickel roll.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_02]: I swore that because the Broncos just had to have him
- 47:24[SPEAKER_02]: that he would be the corner opposite of Pat Sertan and maybe he will depending on the matchup, depending on the base packages and such.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: What do you make of Juday Barron's first game as an NFL rookie?
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's learning the he's learning the ropes and the NFL, so it's going to be he's going to have you know some growing pains, but you know so far he he looked fine to me.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I anticipated him from what everybody was saying that he was going to unseat
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: McMillan and be the starter in the nickel that didn't happen so he's just he's learning the ropes.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: He's in it in I think by the end of the year You might see him more or definitely next year you're going to see him as a starter probably he's got that kind of potential But at this point, you know, just get out there get some good reps and get used to the NFL game and that's that's what I saw from him It wasn't it monster game, but it wasn't a bad game.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: It does it same time
- 48:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, fumble recovery, right?
- 48:19[SPEAKER_02]: That's a tackle.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think are the official stats if you will.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to find a quick snap count here.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, you're right.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: They're using them into it, Tom.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they don't have to necessarily just rush him in.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_02]: And that,
- 48:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's detrimental to any corner back, let alone young ones, right?
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: You're just going to come in and then you used to toast guys in college, right?
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: Used to toast the Division II school every year at the first game in college.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_02]: Well, this isn't college anymore.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: The league and these receivers are absolute freaks.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited to see him mature.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_02]: I still think maybe I need to see a lot more out of him before I feel good about the pick, but I don't know.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_02]: could have gone off in a couple of places in that draft seriously.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: There's nothing against today.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that's a full parent, right, to consider such a thing, Tom.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: But it's just tough because it's early and we have high expectations.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_02]: And when we say Super Bowl, Super Bowl, Super Bowl, 12, 11 wins.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_02]: And then
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: That was the first That's showing of the offensive you will it could have been worse Tom it truly could have been worse I know we're talking about it like Bonyx was an absolute embarrassment Bonyx had a bad day at the office he played some bad football now he had some good throws right and I scored it to Coralin and and Poor decision making.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't like him getting a little frustrated with his teammates not that manner not yet But we still got to earn some of those highs on the on the wall, but
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: It could have been worse.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, this was a quarterback that did not crumble.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: He had a bad football game.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_02]: He kept fighting.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: It kept hanging in there, if you will, are you frustrated with Bo, or are you concerned with Bo, or are you excited to see what he's going to do in week two?
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm not concerned because I saw how well he improved throughout the season last year.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: So bumps in the road is not going to affect him mentally because I didn't see that.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, his first several games coming out of the gate last year.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: If that was going to affect anybody, that, you know, that would have done it.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_01]: So a hiccup or two in the opening game.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_01]: And you have to remember Sean Payton, it's not, it's not
- 50:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he has the same offensive scheme, but the offensive game plan is different.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got to get used to that too, because it is complicated.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to give him a pass.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: But if he comes out next week and looks as bad, I'm going to start to worry a little bit.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, that's the unfortunate nature of being cut from the same cloth as Sean Peyton, right?
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: Like you guys, you guys are going down together, you guys are going to win together.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think is the plan for the universe for Sean Peyton and Bownex, right?
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, like y'all are together.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody's saying if only Bow had a different coach yet.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody's saying if only Sean had a different quarterback yet and I hope we don't get there and it's way too premature to get there and I know you get some people that are just so worried already.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to see what happens against the cults.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to say this is a get right game but this is an opportunity to improve.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_02]: This is an opportunity to win on the road which is extremely tough.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_02]: First road game in the year.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: You think it was tough getting the place
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: Just wait until Bo's trying to get the place in Indy, you know, the house that Peyton built and gets a little loud there in Indianapolis and I just think I need to see a lot of those little things cleaned up.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_02]: I know folks are starting to get after us for predictions, so we'll tease a little bit.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_02]: Um, let's call it 24, 16 to Denver.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_02]: I do think the Broncos are going to win this game.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's going to be a blowout.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think the offense is going to struggle a little bit, but you're going to see them take the necessary steps to feel a little bit better.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_02]: What are those necessary steps look like?
- 52:04[SPEAKER_02]: More running.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to come out running the football.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Payton is infamous right for the 50-in-place script.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_02]: Chad talks about it all the time.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's right.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: I need that 15-place script to include nine runs.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: Sean 9.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_02]: Proving me.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_02]: Proving it to everybody that you can run the football.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care how it comes.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't all need to be running back.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_02]: Just pick one of JetSleep in there.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: Bone nicks.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_02]: You want a quarterback run?
- 52:29[SPEAKER_02]: Let's scramble and get it at it.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_02]: I need
- 52:32[SPEAKER_02]: to see the ball ran.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_02]: I need to see some clock management.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_02]: I need to see some momentum.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos offensive line desperately needs this momentum.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_02]: They desperately need to build off of something.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_02]: And Bones have some fun because a tight bow next looked miserable out there and I don't need that Indianapolis.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be miserable enough watching Daniel Jones.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I think they clean it up a little.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think the mental mistakes will be better this time.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: Even though they're not at home.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're going to, you know, John Payne is going to focus on that a little bit this week.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're going to be better handling the ball.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: There's not going to be as many turnover.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_01]: So it's going to, that's going to even out a little bit, even though the offense isn't going to be lights out, they're going to be improved.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, the defense, I mean, I'm expecting them to come out and play just as well as they did last week.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they went on the last minute field goal.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's like 23, 20.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, pearls the same way.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_02]: Rock is in there with a feel goal as well.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_02]: Todd's a little bit more, more with me, like a little bit out there, 10 to eight points.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: Man, it sounds like a fun game.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I know I was frustrated, right?
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: Shooting my fingernails and everything else watching that Broncos offense, but it wouldn't hurt to see a dominant performance either, right?
- 53:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it wouldn't hurt to remind the NFL, like,
- 53:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we do we can do this at least on offense in defense.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_02]: Let's not just assume the defense is going to go in there and roll everybody.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_02]: I know some cult players are on the injury report, but look, Michael Pippman's going to be good to go.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_02]: He's got a glute, but he was a full participant.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_02]: Alec Pierce, a knee, he was a full participant.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_02]: This cult team that's going to come in here and want to build.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_02]: And if they could get a signature win against arguably the best defense and all of football, they're feeling pretty good heading into week three.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, everybody saw what the Broncos did.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_01]: And if they, that's the, that's the, that's the gauge.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: There are blitz blitz blitz blitz.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they did, right?
- 54:33[SPEAKER_02]: They balanced, advanced Joseph.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I said Tom, I was like, in one of my keys, I'm like, yo, keep it simple.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_02]: Don't give away all your packages just yet with this defense.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_02]: I hope coach didn't overplay his hand because saw a lot of different blitzes out there on Sunday.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the nice thing is, their secondary is good enough to, you know, send extra people.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing with, uh, we got Sertan, you got Riley Moss playing really well.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: McMillan, who held off a first round draft choice to stay out there.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_01]: And then you have, I think he found it.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: And you've got, yeah, you've got a solid secondary out there.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_01]: You can afford to blitz.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_01]: because you can afford to put those guys out there one on one.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's why veg Joseph is a little bit more confident when it comes to sending sending that extra past Russia.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_02]: Cody Dubb, circling background over on YouTube, fire and out of production.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_02]: You got to get ahead of this game and keep Taylor out of it.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think Taylor is going to be out of it in the run game, but remember he can be a dangerous receiver.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what past protections going to look like for Daniel Jones.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_02]: I hope John of the Taylor's practice is a little bit pretty strong guy, a bit of an injury history as well.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_02]: But you got to know this defense is coming for you.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I wonder how long the leash is.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_02]: on Daniel Jones.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: I truly do, Tara.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_02]: I just, I don't know how the colds fill about him.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if they've truly view him as the franchise savior just yet.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_02]: One wind doesn't mean anything.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_02]: Anthony Richardson is just waiting in the wings.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think we see Anthony Richardson in this game if things go south for Daniel Jones early kind of similar right what if Daniel Jones has a performance like bows first half performance against the Denver Broncos to the cult maybe have a conversation and half time do you think we could see Anthony Richardson here in week two what do you think.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, Anthony Richards is not bad.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's so bad right now.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's got so much development to do that.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think they, I think you'll see Richardson when it gives really bad for the cults if they're losing and they're like, OK, we got to get this young guy somewhere.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_01]: But they've kind of washed their hands of Anthony Richardson at this point.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_01]: He needs too much development and he's up against.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I doubt it.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_01]: But you never know what they're going to do when it comes to
- 56:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, both guys are kind of slappies if you think about it right with Daniel Jones and and Richardson I mean Daniel Jones has just made poor decisions and been goofy and odd and just it doesn't work.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_02]: Anthony Richardson kind of quit literally quit on his team, right?
- 57:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because he was out of shape and needed a breather.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_02]: I've never seen that, though.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not even in the little league as I have I seen a quarter back.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_02]: Be like tapping on the helmet, raising the hand.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yo, to the train I need to come out.
- 57:26[UNKNOWN]: Bye.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I never wanted to come out of the game and I hated it when they took me out for a breather.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's like, I don't understand it, but whatever and unforgivable sin and unforgivable football sin that I don't know if he can come back from it.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, anything's possible, I guess, right?
- 57:52[SPEAKER_02]: right like so I guess anything's possible people have short-term memory and maybe even mention Rudolph we don't know it's I don't know Tom it's just one of these things man where I'm so
- 58:04[SPEAKER_02]: just in awe that a first round quarterback would tap out last year that he would run be out of shape.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_02]: Not want to be in for a play.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: You're maybe right.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's why they went to Daniel Jones.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's just it's tough to look at both those quarterbacks.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: I wonder if you're Sean Peyton, if you're ranch Joseph, do you even prepare for that event?
- 58:21[SPEAKER_02]: Do you look at that?
- 58:22[SPEAKER_02]: I know Daniel Jones.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_02]: Seriously.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_02]: I know Daniel Jones is the priority, but
- 58:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna this gonna suck will be a long day for this Daniel Jones guy.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_02]: She's in Sean in the back of his paranoid mind thinks what if they put in Anthony Richardson for a package or two?
- 58:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know if you're really that worried about it unless you're worried about his legs, you know, because he's a very inaccurate passer.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they're gonna prepare for Daniel Jones and then they'll have to make changes on the fly if Daniel Jones gets injured.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: But if they throw Richardson out there
- 59:00[SPEAKER_01]: for a couple plays it's going to surprise me unless they unless they want to you know kind of catch the Broncos off guard with him running a design run even though they're showing past or something like that.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: Can you imagine?
- 59:15[SPEAKER_02]: Can you imagine a design run with Daniel Jones and this Broncos you better be sliding you better be getting down I hope you've been practicing on sliding on the turf.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh gosh, I hope he doesn't do it.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to see Daniel Jones get killed by this Broncos defense.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to see a Tom get benched whatever, but like injuries on the turf through or always worse for me.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like I always kind of in these turf game like I'm kind of cringe for an injury and wonder it's going to be fun though.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's regular season week to Broncos versus cults this Sunday.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: Tom and I have the good guys getting a win.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_02]: You read about our predictions this Friday morning with our roundtable pick.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_02]: We are officially up against it.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, I'm so happy that football is back, man.

- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_01]: I look forward to talking with you folks in the chat and, you know, just, it's nice that there's optimism about the Broncos, you know, this time around.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_01]: Finally, so that helps a lot.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: There's more enthusiasm, folks are more excited.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, you never know how this season is going to go or even the next game.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_01]: So, let's just go out there, hope that they show
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_01]: they can come away with another win.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_02]: And enjoy yourself.
