- 1:04Feel good. I just look forward to birthdays, Trey. If you look
- 1:11forward to birthdays, and by God, I'm gonna give you birthdays. Thank
- 1:15you. Ah, asking E shall receive? What'd you say? Rag?
- 1:22I said, asking E shall receive? Oh? It sounded like you said
- 1:25asking each other maybe Friday. But it's not even anything goes that Just that
- 1:30just sounds like that just sounds like somebody that learned how to cuss. Asking
- 1:36each other what does that even mean? I think I actually said that in
- 1:41like second grade, I ask yourself. I don't know what that means,
- 1:47buddy, let mean sit down. Yeah, it really is. That's one
- 1:52of the awkward phases of life no one talks about, and that is when
- 1:55every child learns how to swear. Yeah, yeah, that's just that's just
- 2:02the weird. I don't even know how it comes about. I don't I
- 2:07don't know. I like, I don't remember learning to swear. Asking yourself
- 2:12either one of those things. I don't think I've ever asked myself before.
- 2:15But I think we should own that. I think we should actually claim it
- 2:20and put a little treehouse flag in it and claim it as ours. Like,
- 2:23next time you really want to get under somebody's skin, do you tell
- 2:25them to go ask themselves or you can tell them to put a treehouse flag
- 2:30in it? Go put a treehouse flagon? Exactly what it would be.
- 2:34It's like they've been over and shove a treehouse flag in there, AND's you've
- 2:37been asked. Yeah, I like it. I mean you would dumber things
- 2:40have sold? So when you could you know what the plant? You know
- 2:45what the fan has flagtober? Yeah, treehouse the treehouse has asking go ask
- 2:51yourself. You just put that on a shirt. I'd wear it just for
- 2:54the sheer confusion of the people walking by. God, how do you do
- 2:58that? I'm like, we don't know, we'd we just made it up.
- 3:01I was saying, asking, ye shall receive, and it turned to
- 3:04go ask yourself. Now we have a whole event around it. Join us
- 3:10in Assuary. Ask fest now as fest I would go to. I think
- 3:22we have our first large scale event, gentlemen, and a lot of people
- 3:29will show up going this is not what I was and our last one.
- 3:39Yeah. The only thing that can possibly get us out of this ass conversation
- 3:46is, of course birthdays. Today is Friday, September twenty ninth. My
- 3:54God, September twenty nine, twenty twenty three, birthdays to day. One
- 4:00of my favorite singers, and I didn't realize this till recently, but one
- 4:05of my favorite singers is Halsey and she is twenty nine today. She's got
- 4:11a lot of good hits. Probably her biggest is Closer with the Chain Smokers,
- 4:16but she also had Bad Love. There's a couple of other ones of
- 4:19hers that I really like, And so I realized recently though, I really
- 4:24like her music, and then I also realized that I like that style of
- 4:28sort of the breathy female vocalist. M Yeah, not sure why, but
- 4:31it just appeals to me, and I've I've seen a few of the videos.
- 4:36She's actually very very good live To have that that style of singing,
- 4:42that breathy style of singing, to do that live for a full concert,
- 4:45she's actually very good. And is she running around dancing and things as well
- 4:48or is it a different type of performance. No, I think there is
- 4:53a couple of them more. I think it's it's it's more because it's that
- 4:57one song that you were you just mentioned one of them. I think it
- 4:59was a secon and when you mentioned that's, yeah, that's the clip that
- 5:01I've seen a couple from a couple of different concerts. And there's no dancing
- 5:05to that. She just kind of paces back around the stage. But yeah,
- 5:10she's actually a very good life because you know, you get that,
- 5:13you've seen it before. We've all been to concerts where you're like, man,
- 5:15I mean there there was entertaining Like I'm a huge Motley Crow fan,
- 5:18huge Motley Crow fan, and you just have to understand that Vince doesn't know
- 5:23the words and he's gonna sound like crap. Everything else is gonna be great.
- 5:27There's gonna be pyrotechnics, the music is gonna be good, the guitar
- 5:30riffs are gonna be great. Tommy's gonna be still gonna fly across the guy
- 5:34on the drum kid Yeah, and he's gonna do that, and Vince is
- 5:38just gonna fff it up the whole time. And you're like if you know
- 5:40that going in, But like she was great. Like I've seen like the
- 5:44guy's Rascal Flats. I saw them in Vegas and they're better live than they
- 5:47are on an album. Wow, Yeah, it was impressive. I'll tell
- 5:54you who was just in concert at star Plex and it shocked me at how
- 5:58many people went and how expensive the tickets were. Was Lana del Rey.
- 6:02I don't know who that is, Lana del Rey. Lana del Rey,
- 6:06I don't know, but I mean she's Summertime Sadness is probably the hit hit
- 6:13I mean, but I mean she has others. But I mean people I
- 6:15talk to people that are paying three hundred dollars a seat. Whoa wow?
- 6:19And is it isn't pull in or did you just aid yourself. I've quit.
- 6:25I I long time ago quit trying to keep up with the variations,
- 6:28and I just reverted back because everyone's still if you say star Plex, everyone
- 6:31still knows what you're talking about. We have a standing order in the Treehouse.
- 6:35That is, unless they are paying us directly, we're not going to
- 6:41name the corporate the current corporate sponsor of star Plex because I'm it got it
- 6:46got too taxing to keep up with it, because they would change it every
- 6:50couple of years, and then it just deluded all those names because at the
- 6:55end of the day, we just said, effort, We're calling it star
- 6:58Plex. I don't know. I like I like the beer that it's named
- 7:00after, the Doseki's pavilion, like uh, I like the Dokis. See
- 7:06to me, they missed a huge opportunity to call it the Doseki's star Plex
- 7:11and throw in an extra X on star Plex. Uh see, this is
- 7:15why you need to be the head of pr and marketing for that's the second
- 7:20time this week you've told me to quit my day job as Treehouse and go
- 7:28into marketing and public relations, as if it's not what I'm already doing for
- 7:30this goddamn show. Every day day, Trust me, Raj. If Dosekis
- 7:36comes a knocking, the tree house is going to have a couple of exes
- 7:40thrown in the middle of it. I don't spend the game. The xes
- 7:46are silent, we are not. Yeah, I like it. See that
- 7:51right, there's already pretty good Solids Treehouse. Yeah, the exes may be
- 8:00silent, but they're not it already. It's already gonna outsell go ask yourself.
- 8:07But will it outsell Lana del Rey? That is the question. Other
- 8:13birthdays today, NBA star Kevin Durant and ut great is thirty five tre it.
- 8:20It's gonna make you happy. Go Horns. Oh, Kevin Durant.
- 8:24That's the one team. Because if of all the sports things that I want
- 8:28to see in my life, like I've seen the Cowboys win, I've seen
- 8:31the Stars win, I've seen the Mavericks win the two things, and I've
- 8:35seen Texas win a national championship. There's two things that I really would like
- 8:39to see and I really don't know if I'll ever see their one, which
- 8:41is a Rangers win the World Series and the Horns win a national championship in
- 8:46basketball. That Durant team had they stuck around one more year, probably does.
- 8:50But but he's God, he's such a headcase and I love him.
- 8:54He's such an amazing talent. He's kind of a big bitch. Yeah,
- 9:00this would be an excellent time, by the way, to throw in a
- 9:01mention of the Treehouse Football Podcast. We don't typically touch on a lot of
- 9:07basketball yet, but you never know. Yeah, yeah, the only only
- 9:11bigger Like then when the Mavericks signed Kyrie, but when he went to Brooklyn
- 9:16with Kyrie, I'm like, how do you think that's going to play out?
- 9:18Nothing with Kyrie Irving ever plays out? Well, yeah, and then
- 9:22you're as sensitive as he is. But you're just you're just you know,
- 9:28Kevin Durant is just more of a brooding bitch where you know, Kyrie thinks
- 9:31it's more like, Yeah, happy birthday, Kevin Durant. Former Detroit Lyons
- 9:43wide receiver Great Calvin Johnson. Today is his birthday. He is thirty eighth,
- 9:48nick named Megatron. Yeah, you know, Detroit, that is a
- 9:54special designation that you had two of the greatest players at their position retire early
- 10:01because you suck so bad. See, people like to point fingers and make
- 10:07fun of Florida and it's earned. The reason why we don't do it with
- 10:13Detroit is because it is legitimately sad. It's so sad it's not even funny.
- 10:18Florida is so just wacky. It's it can be funny even a serious
- 10:22story, and a sad story can still end up being Florida funny. But
- 10:26most of the stuff in Detroit, it really is just depressing. Like you
- 10:28said you had had Barry Sanders, he's like, no, I'm good quite
- 10:33early, quit in his prime. Calvin Johnson, same thing. And you
- 10:37would think, in the in the landscape of free agency in sports today,
- 10:41that those two guys could have said trade me or I'm not playing and I
- 10:46am not playing for you ever again, and they would have had to have
- 10:50done it eventually. But instead of going that route, they just pretty much
- 10:52just hit the quick buttons government, I'm done more Detroit for me. I
- 10:58understand Barry Sanders did say that, and they flat ass would and trade him.
- 11:03They said, no, he didn't follow through on on what basically called
- 11:05his bluff, didn't do it, and he did all. That's what that's
- 11:11what you're saying is I think I just thought he just straight up he just
- 11:13straight up retired the way remembered it. No, he wanted a trade and
- 11:18they said absolutely not, and he said, fine, I'm done. Yeah,
- 11:22because there was a speculation because I think he had like two when he
- 11:26retired. I think he had like two years left on a contract, and
- 11:28there was speculation, well, okay, contracts up, maybe he'll he'll actually
- 11:31come play again. And at that point he was like, damn good.
- 11:35Yeah, I thought it was gonna be a holdout situation. He's just like
- 11:37he the final touchdown, he just ran into the end zone and then through
- 11:41the tunnel and I think the car was already running and he was in full
- 11:46pads and the whole thing. Like he just never came back. And I
- 11:48thought they were I think they were basically like you're saying, calling his bluff,
- 11:54like he's gonna be a holdout. We'll give him more money and he'll
- 11:56he'll come back, and then he do you think there's still somebody left in
- 12:00the Detroit Lions organization still holding out hope that he'll show back up. Yeah,
- 12:05I think it's called Detroit. Barry Sanders a RoboCop. Other birthdays today
- 12:16Shazam Star from the movies, Zachary Levi he is forty three today. Got
- 12:24his start on television, or at least maybe not very first art. But
- 12:28when I first recognized him or noticed him, was on the television show Where
- 12:33Was It, Chuck? I believe. Yeah, it's a good show.
- 12:35I always wanted to watch it. It looked really funny, but for some
- 12:39reason I never did. I wish I had. But maybe it's good that
- 12:43I didn't, because it eventually, you know, I mean, it had
- 12:45a decent run that it eventually went away. And then he became the star
- 12:50of one of the few DC properties that was actually fun like good in its
- 12:54first outing, and that was Shazam. I actually was a pretty good movie.
- 12:56I haven't seen the second one, so I don't know. Yeah.
- 13:01Yeah, And he follows me on the Instagram. Oh does he? Yeah,
- 13:05he lives in He is another one of those guys that lives in Central
- 13:07Texas. He's a he's a he's a neighbor of not a neighbor, but
- 13:13like the close neighbor of our friend Tone Bell. Oh yeah, Tone Bell
- 13:16still willingly hangs out with eighty five year old neighbor Jerry, but not fellow
- 13:22celebrity. Yeah, Zachary Levi. Yeah, interesting Zachary Levi forty three today,
- 13:31and he was also let's see, he was also in uh Thor the
- 13:37Dark World. He was also Yeah, he was a Thor's friend Fandral in
- 13:43Thor the Dark World. I've forgotten about that. Oh, I didn't think
- 13:46you could do both. I think I didn't think you could do to DC
- 13:48and more. Yeah, I mean it just depends on how big of a
- 13:52role you played in whatever thing that you're doing. Like look like like I'll
- 13:56give you a really good example of this, Like you can you can play
- 13:58a part in a DC movie and then Marvel will still hire you and vice
- 14:03versa. They don't care. I mean, it's going to be difficult for
- 14:05Chris Evans to go do something in DC. Like if Chris Evans was named
- 14:09Superman, you'd be like, all right, could get the f out of
- 14:11here. Yeah, okay. But even Marvel has poached its own people that
- 14:16have started in other Marvel properties. So Chris Evans is is a great example
- 14:24of that because he was the Human Torch and it was two Fantastic Four movies
- 14:28and then they cast him as Captain America. But that and that worked,
- 14:33and that was on a really big scale. And then there's the actor who
- 14:41is now taking over the role of Blade, and I'm brain fighting on his
- 14:45name. It's like it's on the tip of my tongue. It's Marsha Ali.
- 14:50Oh yeah, or Mahershalla. I forget how to say his name,
- 14:52but Mashallah Ali, what is it? Rash Marshila Ali, who is a
- 14:58phenomenal actor. He's taking the reins from Wesley Snipes and he's going to be
- 15:03the new Blade in the Marvel stuff. But he had a role in the
- 15:09Luke Cage. Oh yeah, uh Netflix Marvel show, Yeah, which was
- 15:15great and they're just ignoring. Yeah, that was actually really good. He
- 15:18had a role in that he gets murdered by the by his sister and then
- 15:20he goes away. But now he's gonna become Blade. So Marvel will absolutely
- 15:22poach itself. You can you can? You can cross the stream? Yeah
- 15:26and if and if you and if you look up, it's it's gonna be
- 15:28a very uh, very cool role that he's undertaking. He actually Blade actually
- 15:35pays his taxes, so it's gonna be. But does he take the reins
- 15:43or did he buy him at an auction? You know, it's bad when
- 15:52they open off your character and irs really will come to the Treehouse. Visit
- 16:08us online at Treehouse OnAir dot com. Nine two the number four Rodney Anderson.
- 16:18That's nine seven two, nine eighty five fifty two hundred the website Rodney
- 16:21Anderson dot com. Let's get Rodney into the Treehouse now, Rodney, I've
- 16:23been curious over the last year plus if someone's trying to get into the housing
- 16:29market. They're ready to buy a house, but they know interest rates are
- 16:32higher than they've been in the last few years. Are those rates ever gonna
- 16:36come down to what we saw before. I don't see interest rates going down
- 16:38to those levels for decades, not in my lifetime. Here's what I do
- 16:44expect. I think over the next five years we'll see interest rates between four
- 16:48and a half and five percent sometimes. But many people are going to put
- 16:51off the buying until rates come down. That's what everybody's thinking right now.
- 16:55And then when rates come down, then you're gonna have the bidding wars again.
- 16:59Then you're gonna have all of a sudden you're overpaying the twenty five fifty
- 17:02one hundred thousand dollars like so many people did. So now it's a buyer's
- 17:06market. The houses have been sitting on the market. On many of these
- 17:10houses, they're negotiating with buyers right now. We're seeing two one buy downs
- 17:12negotiated. We're seeing a lot of people get some great deals on this thing.
- 17:17But many of the sellers they didn't expect their houses to sit on the
- 17:19market this long, so they're wanting to close quickly. That's our specialty.
- 17:23Dam So when you're going through this process, pick up the phone, give
- 17:26us a call. Let us walk you through this entire housing market, whether
- 17:30you're buying, are doing looking for a cash out refive, pick up the
- 17:33phone and give us a call. We got answers for you, and you
- 17:36just ask questions and we'll give you there. They answered absolutely. And when
- 17:40I first called Rodney years ago to buy my first house, I had lots
- 17:42of questions and they had them all answered exactly as I needed to know that
- 17:48information and help me get that first house and doing so very quickly. Nine
- 17:52seven fifty two hundred is that phone number for all of us to call.
- 17:55Nine see eight five fifty two hundred or Rodney Anderson dot com. And if
- 17:59I'm lending is equal housing lender three thousand Village, Parkway, Suite four hundred,
- 18:02Hyland Village, Texas and MLS two three two nine. Dallas Comedy Club
- 18:04is proud to present Brett Ernst from Cobrack High. But yeah, I was
- 18:07a little cheesy back in the day, like if you're over thirty, I
- 18:11don't know you remember that one telling the club with just the vest on,
- 18:15who goes out with just a vest Like? What are you? Hans Solo.
- 18:22That's Brett Ernst from Cobra Hi This Friday and Saturday, September twenty ninth
- 18:26and thirtieth at the Dallas Comedy Club, your new home for comedy in DFW.
- 18:30You get your tickets now at Dallas Dash Comedy Club dot com. That's

- 18:37It's the Treehouse pool listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online that Treehouse
- 18:55on Air dot com. This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by
- 19:03Cook DFW Roof Again Restoration their phone number eight three three Cook DFW. That's
- 19:11eight three three Cook DFW. Give them a call free or free roof inspection
- 19:15or the website Cook DFW dot com. Thanks again to our friends at Cook
- 19:22DFW Roofing and Restoration. One of the things about them that is different than
- 19:25other roofing companies is not only if let's say something really terrible happens, that
- 19:29really bad storm happens punches a hole right through your roof, right and what's
- 19:33blow the roof, You're also going to have the attic, and below the
- 19:36attic the hole punches through into let's say your master bathroom. Well, the
- 19:38great thing about cook DFW is they're gonna come in not only fix your roof,
- 19:41but they can also take care of everything that happened below it. That's
- 19:47the restoration side of it as well. So they'll take care of that master
- 19:48bath and everything in between that bath and the roof. Other roofing companies are
- 19:52like now, they might as well just call themselves roofs only because that's what
- 19:56they do. Cook DFW, so give them a call for your free roof
- 19:57inspection eight three three cook W and I just locked up. I couldn't decide
- 20:03what I wanted to say next because I had like four different thoughts in my
- 20:06mind. That's okay, it's right, it doesn't matter, But this next
- 20:12story has me giggling, and this is I really, I really want to
- 20:15thank Trey for sending this to me, because I don't follow the war in
- 20:19Ukraine super closely. I don't think most people do because it's not happening here.
- 20:26And I'm I don't live in the Ukraine, or I'm sorry, I
- 20:29don't live in Ukraine. If I did, i'd clearly care more. I'm
- 20:32not saying I don't care. I'm just saying it's it's a weird thing to
- 20:36be in the twenty first century and a major war is happening, and I'm
- 20:37more worried about getting my treehouse podcast posted. But it is what it is.
- 20:45So speaking of the war in Ukraine, Ukrainian resistance fighters say Russian officers
- 20:53who had not been paid sold them key intelligence on the Black Sea Fleet.
- 21:00A short while later, missiles then tore through the headquarters of the Russian military.
- 21:08Let this be a lesson to not only Russia, but to employers everywhere.
- 21:15Pay your people, but don't just pay them. Pay them what they're
- 21:18worth, but don't just pay them what they're worth. Pay them and pay
- 21:23them on time, otherwise you might get blown up. Don't bounce checks to
- 21:30people that know sensitive information. Yeah, don't bounce checks to the peoples who
- 21:36have fingers on missiles. Yeah. Yeah, I mean it's one of those
- 21:40things like when you when you start going into Eastern European countries and you start
- 21:44going into like especially like overseas like Southeast Asian and you get into that,
- 21:48it's it's still the wild West, and people here like, I can't believe
- 21:51they would sell them the secret. They're like, yes, over there,
- 21:55they're like, hey, man, where's the where's the money? Oh yeah,
- 21:59we don't have it right now. Okay, what's the address to this
- 22:00place? Can you send me a pin? Yeah? I mean, I
- 22:11that's the best part about like when we talk about warfare everybody here in the
- 22:17United States, Every's like, well, you know, first we have to
- 22:19you know, there's a there's a process in which we declare war. When
- 22:23you get over there, they're just like, yo, man, we're hungry.
- 22:26So either you feed us or those dudes will They're like, we have
- 22:32money, we have aid coming you know, Ukraine has aid coming in from
- 22:36all over the world. So they're like, well, we're still backlogged on
- 22:38getting you know, the armored tanks and things that they needed there. So
- 22:41while there's no money sitting there, so they're like, you know what if
- 22:45they're gonna come over here and go, hey man, one hundred bucks,
- 22:48what do you want? What do you want to know? Yeah, I
- 22:51think I think you're right, So like you're right. In America, there
- 22:53is a formal process to declare war on another country, whereas other countries who
- 22:59have been at war for centuries. Yeah, take a more Michael Scott from
- 23:03the office approach. They just step out of the house one day and say
- 23:07I declare war and then they do it. It's when people like you know,
- 23:11we're gonna find peace in like peace in the Middle East. It is
- 23:14like waking up one morning and you don't hear anything blowing up, Like,
- 23:18all right, I think we did it. I think there's there might be
- 23:19some peace today. Like the sad thing about that is no one's gonna trust
- 23:23it. It'll take at least one hundred years for anyone to believe that there
- 23:29is actually peace in the Middle East, because it's it's been going for thousands
- 23:33of years basically, So I don't really see how all of a sudden one
- 23:37day they sign a paper and it says, all right, there's peace in
- 23:40the Middle East. Now, look, I said it right here and all
- 23:41the signature see right there in the Middle East on the top. Blah blah
- 23:45blah. No one's gonna believe it until it's there's like an actual consistent showing
- 23:49of non war. Not even that, Like it's when when when people go,
- 23:53well, they're you know, there's simple solutions. I'm like, okay,
- 23:56but you'll also have to realize that if they do declare peace, you're
- 24:00gonna lay off a lot of people. Like there's gonna be a lot of
- 24:02people that have been fighting this that now we'll have no jobs. But what
- 24:06do you mean we're not fighting? What what do you mean? Like,
- 24:08but we signed a thing, but I didn't. No, our government didn't.
- 24:15I don't. I don't. I'll fight them. I don't care.
- 24:17Like look they're describing is Afghanisan. Yeah, that's basically what it is.
- 24:25You could you could, like the people up top, you know, the
- 24:26people that are in charge allegedly can say all right, we've we've you know,
- 24:30go to an agreement. Now everyone else on the other side of the
- 24:33mountains going like, but we didn't. I didn't, I didn't get that
- 24:38zoom in fight. So I'm still going to suicide bought you. Yeah,
- 24:45so Ukraine like buying up tactical information for Benny's on the dollar is hilarious.
- 24:52That's the funniest thing is you're not talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars or
- 24:56anything else. You're probably talking about a thousand dollars and happy Neal and you
- 25:00the secrets Russian military. That's amazing the military advantage you can gain with just
- 25:07some spicy nugs. And in other news, there is a new Spirit Halloween
- 25:22store, which is not typically breaking news, but this one's this one is
- 25:26interesting. This may be the most unique Spirit Halloween in the country, and
- 25:30it is in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Don't get distracted by the name of the
- 25:34town being Sandwich, Massachusetts. I mean, yeah, it's cute and all,
- 25:37but there's also how this goes from. Unless I read the wrong name,
- 25:45it says Sandwich, Massachusetts. But then when I'm reading this other story
- 25:48that you sent, Trede also says there's a news there's a unique Spirit Halloween
- 25:52store location that recently opened in Sagamore, Massachusetts. Yeah, I can't imagine
- 25:57somewhere being named Sandwich. I mean, let's let's like that sounds a little
- 26:02Well, the place in England they're going to go name the Sandwich was the
- 26:07Earl of sand Sandwich. Yes, I mean I outside of that, I
- 26:10don't see it being done again like that. Just I mean, I just
- 26:12feel bad for immigrants that move there because nobody's gonna believe where they're from.
- 26:17You know, it's like, so where are you from? And it's like
- 26:18some Indian immigrant who just got there, like I'm from the Sandwich and they're
- 26:22like, well, he's hungry, we don't know what he needs. You
- 26:23don't tell us where he's from. Keep feeding him like sandwich. Understand you
- 26:29need a sandwich? Where are you from? Like it's gonna keep happening,
- 26:33So let's just let's just use the other places. I don't know. I
- 26:37mean, if you rename a town in Indiana Pizza, I might go there.
- 26:41There's otherwise I really have no reason to want to go to Indiana,
- 26:45But if you have a town called Pizza, Indiana, I might go.
- 26:48And then maybe on my way out, I'll stop by French Lake, where
- 26:52Larry Bird was born. So there is a new Spirit Halloween location that recently
- 26:57opened up in Massachusetts, housed in an iconic landmark that has welcomed visitors to
- 27:03Cape Cod for decades. It's the former Christmas Tree Shops location with its windmill
- 27:08and thatched roof. It makes for a scene right out of the village from
- 27:12Frankenstein. So this really is a cool looking Spirit Halloween store. It's there's
- 27:17a windmill and a thatched roof house. And you know, I mean,
- 27:22Spirit Halloween doesn't really shy away from opening up in any damn plays. No.
- 27:26If you look at the picture, it looks to me like like a
- 27:30Dutch picture of the windmill and you know right there, and and yeah,
- 27:34it's just proof that they Spirit Halloween is just they're brilliant. But they will
- 27:38put one of those things anywhere. Yeah, anytime make a business, Yeah,
- 27:42they'll put it in there. Honestly, trade You're right, there are
- 27:45radio stations right now that I'm surprised aren't currently Spirit Halloween stores. They could
- 27:52actually turn a profit. Meanwhile, Spirit Halloween across the Tollway is just yeah,
- 28:04I uh anywhere, Like anytime I see a building that's like going out
- 28:08of business, I'm like, Oh, that landlord has got to be so
- 28:11excited because they got Spirit Halloween coming in and and for that, however many
- 28:17months that they're open, Like what is the end of August too, like
- 28:21the last week? Yeah, two weeks, two months. Yeah, it's
- 28:23like they're basically there are basically now there used to be there, used to
- 28:27just be one way to tell that fall was here, and that was the
- 28:30start of a new NFL season, right, Yeah, then it turned into
- 28:34well when pumpkin spice comes back, that's that's the new indicator of fall.
- 28:40So gross. Now you throw in the third the spirit Halloween story is coming
- 28:44sign you're like, oh man, it's time to bust out the flannel.
- 28:47Yeah, yeah, you're you can't tell anymore by decorations of what they're selling
- 28:51because they started selling Halloween decorations beginning of August. Yeah yeah, and it's
- 28:56it's the spirit Halloween is like reminds me of like the fireworks stand, Like
- 29:00anytime you see one of those open, like, oh, that's right,
- 29:03we're close, Like so something exciting is about to happen. Yeah, almost
- 29:07time, because it's almost time to it's almost time to go to a store
- 29:11with shoddy costumes with over over over priced items. Yeah, and I love
- 29:19it. There we are. It's like it's like a spirit Halloween stores fireworks,
- 29:25and then like, uh, churches that want to be mega churches but
- 29:27have to start somewhere, Like there's a church by my parents old house that
- 29:32used to be a food Lion. Uh, it's and it's it's it's hilarious
- 29:37because they still haven't gotten rid of the automatic doors. So it's like walking,
- 29:42does it Dean? When they walk in, I wouldn't be surprised.
- 29:47And then then did they say, oh that was that was an angel welcoming
- 29:51you into the Church of Food Lion, like I would. I just can
- 29:53imagine communion like I would like community was like way yep? Would that be
- 29:56paper or plastic? I don't. I don't know how it works. I
- 30:02don't go to church. But but I mean even even the mega churches had
- 30:04to start somewhere. At one point, I'm sure Joel Ostein went to a
- 30:07family member and said, all right, I got an idea for a new
- 30:11startup. Now is his dad? You guys don't know the story actually did
- 30:15that. He never wanted to be. He never wanted to be. Uh,
- 30:19his dad gave him money to start a church. His dad was Dad's
- 30:22church. Yeah, Okay, he didn't want to be a minister. He
- 30:25told his father he didn't want to get into this, and he's the big
- 30:27joke was he opened the books and was like, let me show you how
- 30:30much money we make. And the next day is like, the Lord spoke
- 30:32to me. Sure he did. That's why they found eight hundred thousand dollars
- 30:37and plastered in your walls. Yeah. Yeah, when when Joel Ostein says,
- 30:41the Lord spoke to me, that's just what they call the ledger that
- 30:45his dad liked, spress Dad's name wasn't the Lord. We're talking to me
- 30:52the Lord. No, the Lord. That's my dad's name. The Lords.
- 30:55Uh yeah, I mean he never wanted to be and now his church
- 30:59is like. My favorite moment of my comedy career was in Houston and I
- 31:03was featuring from my buddy Ian Bag and there were four women stage left who
- 31:10were clearly out of place, because if you've ever seen Ian, it's no
- 31:12holds barred, it's crowd work. He has no filter. He's brilliant,
- 31:18and these four women look like At one point I just kind of turned,
- 31:22I'm like, I don't know why they're here in my head, and he
- 31:25started talking to them and they were on their way to the summit where he
- 31:30where the Rockets used to play to see Joel Ostein, but they couldn't quote
- 31:37get tickets in time. Oh Jesus, and I was like, there's tickets
- 31:40to church. And then my only thought after that was then there's somewhere somebody's
- 31:44scalping tickets to church. And that just just the thought of people outside,
- 31:48like I got two front row, two front row for Jesus, two front
- 31:51row for Jesus. I'm just the thought of scalper's uh for Christ is The
- 31:57sad thing is that you see the tickets for Osteam's Church popping up on SeatGeek,
- 32:07and even the obstructed view seats will sell. I wonder if there's an
- 32:10all you can eat section. I don't know how it works, but I'm
- 32:14just I'm just wondering, like, yeah, I don't think. I don't
- 32:16think Osteam's Church has dollar dog bite. I would go to that though,
- 32:27that would involve feeding people and not making a profit. That is true.

- 33:23potentially could be a problem very soon. And it's super important because we've seen
- 33:28so many clients changing insurances on an annual basis now because they're shopping rates.
- 33:31They're scared that their rates are going up, so they're price shopping, so
- 33:36they may be switching insurances every year. Well, if they haven't had their
- 33:38roof inspect in a couple of years, and let's say they haven't, elite

- 34:37trying on somebody's patients. But the good news is with Brooks Plumbing, when
- 34:40someone calls you, you guys actually respond pretty quickly no matter what sort of
- 34:44in fighting is happening with the family. That was true. I had a
- 34:47phone call from two different insurance suggesters yesterday where they were like, can you
- 34:52please please please go today And I'm like, you understand it's like two thirty
- 34:54in the afternoon, and we technically stop at five. We'll keep going,
- 34:58but that's not the point. And it was interesting because we were not fighting
- 35:01in this house in this office. Rather we're not in a house, but
- 35:05we weren't fighting in this office. But I had the technicians in a house
- 35:08and they started running the water because they were looking for a leak, and
- 35:12the mom of the house came running upstairs. Who the f is running the
- 35:15water? And she thought it was her sons, but it was the plumbers,
- 35:19and so they ended up wall paper to the wall, just out of
- 35:22sheer fear. And then she rounded the corner and saw two grown men and
- 35:25was like, oh, never mind, and she ferried down the stairs as
- 35:30if she had wings. Everything is fine. So it's not isolated to our
- 35:34office. We're used to sometimes seeing dirty houses. We're used to sometimes seeing
- 35:39families fight. If you need us, it's a stressful time. So if
- 35:44you've got the drama, we can handle it. All the plumbing, none

- 36:37it wouldn't be a bad idea for us to actually record our conversations before deering
- 36:42and maybe even after the show and make it available. We should do that,
- 36:46because there's some good stuff in there that you're not hearing you shouldn't hear.
- 36:52Yeah, I was gonna say you, I want to rephrase that.
- 36:55Yeah, that's both it really is it? Really? It can be both?
- 37:01All right. There's a handful of stories that we didn't get to last
- 37:04time, and there's some new ones that I want to make sure we touch
- 37:06on this time. So we're going to rip through them headline style. All
- 37:10right. There has been a craft recall craft cheese slice rappers. Craft cheese
- 37:22slice rappers could pose a choking hazard, according to the company, So those
- 37:25have been recalled. What so that you know rags like the American cheese slices
- 37:32either in that little you know, cellophane rapper. Yeah, I guess,
- 37:36I guess some people are forgetting to remove the rapper first. Oh my god.
- 37:40Okay, well then that's just that's just natural selection. Yeah, that's
- 37:44dark in that Darwinism at its finest. Yes, it's like the tide pod
- 37:47people exactly chew away. If you die on a Craft cheese rapper, it
- 37:53was your time and the planet is better off without you. It was for
- 38:01the greater good. Kraft Hines says it's recalling more than eighty three thousand cases
- 38:09of individually wrapped Craft singles American processed cheese slices because of part of the rapper
- 38:15could stick to the slice and become a choking hazard. The company said one
- 38:20of its wrapping machines developed a temporary issue that makes it possible for a thin
- 38:23strip of film to remain on the slice even after it's been removed from the
- 38:27rapper. The machine has since been fixed. Craft says it initiated the voluntary
- 38:31recall after it received several consumer complaints. In six cases, police said I'm
- 38:37sorry. In six cases, people said the issue caused gagging or choking,
- 38:40but no injuries or serious health issues have been reported. Well it hasn't you
- 38:46know? I had a case of gagging or choking. And another headline the
- 38:52ninety nine cent stores got eighty three thousand cases of cheat. Oh my god.
- 39:02Also, this is one of my favorite headlines recently, Florida man sets
- 39:07fired a car belonging to ex girlfriend who also happens to be his cousin.
- 39:13Yes, that's Florida. I love that place. What is it about that
- 39:23state? I mean, it really is just it. It's there's too much
- 39:29salt water in the air. It's gotta it's gotta mess up your brain.
- 39:31I don't know how it works, but it's just I don't know. If
- 39:35you've been they're not, they don't. Yeah, it's just I don't like
- 39:37it. Love that place. Yeah, that that all of that story makes
- 39:44sense once you if you said that any any place else, you'd be like,
- 39:47oh man, that's messed up the minute you go Florida, you know,
- 39:52Okay, Yeah, all of that makes sense. Yeah. I could
- 39:54have done a multiple choice. I could have said, a man from the
- 39:58state sets fired a car belonging to to his ex girl friend who also happens
- 40:00to be his cousin. Was it a from Arkansas, b from Texas see
- 40:07Florida, to which your answers would have been Florida exactly. Ye, Arkansas
- 40:12could have been a close second. It's possible. Well, I think they
- 40:15get a lot of grief. I think Arkansas is literally every story goes see
- 40:19it's not us them. I don't know why we get so much grief for
- 40:23it. I think the Arkansas version of that story would have been Arkansas man
- 40:30who's in relationship with cousins sets fired a car belonging to ex girlfriend. Yeah.
- 40:42When you said Florida and then I heard the rest of it, my
- 40:44only thought was, Ah, what kind of car? Hang on, let
- 40:50me look. These are the types of questions I typically ask as well,
- 40:53because I want to know certain details. A man from South Florida was arrested
- 40:57for allegedly setting fire to a car that belonged to his ex girl friend,
- 41:00who also happens to be his cousin. According to Miami Dade Police, Melvin
- 41:05Centron was charged with second degree arson, third degree grand theft on Wednesday for
- 41:08the incident that happened in April first, and shortly before midnight. On April
- 41:15twenty nine, homes ring doorbell camera captured an unknown man pouring what appeared to
- 41:21be gasoline on a car before igniting it. Police recalled at the scene fire
- 41:24was extinguished. Police found a white four door Jaguar. Oh nice, a
- 41:31white four door Jaguar, So that that was that was a type of vehicle
- 41:35raj All right, well, at least we know his cousin's got money.
- 41:40Wait wait, wait, hang on, I'm I'm reading the rest of the
- 41:43story to see if the Jaguar was stolen. The one part of that story
- 41:50that really does fit is Melvin. Of all the intricacies of all the details
- 42:01in this story, and Trey's focused on the fact that the suspect's name is
- 42:05Melvin. You know that's even here. Melvin. You're like, okay,
- 42:09that didn't surprise me that well, Melvin, you know, went on a
- 42:12bender, and you know, yeah, he's still upset, you know,
- 42:15still butt hurt. That his cousin dumped him makes for a perfect sitcom.
- 42:21It just titled Melvin but with an exclamation point. That's so Melvin. Let's
- 42:29see TV tonight after the Cowboys Patriots game and all nude. That's Melvin.
- 42:42Then on Monday morning, Monday morning or like like what day of the week
- 42:45would it air? Say, like like if it was on NBC back in
- 42:47the day, it would be Thursday night. Must see it. So Friday
- 42:51morning at the water cooler, everyone's like, do you see Melvin last night?
- 42:54Kimly his cousin dump him? A Houston what Trey the middle big crossover
- 43:06event law and Order in Melvin. It's a very fitting crossover. It's a
- 43:23lot better than the other version. That's so law and Order. Be sure
