- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: Time for the 49ers Rush Podcast.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: and here's your host, John Chapman.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_01]: All boy, the 49ers win in a, man, crazy, dramatic fashion, which we have not seen this year, but they hold on in what was a close game shouldn't have been.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: We'll detail that, the injuries are enormous, but,
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: the end of the day.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: The number one goal every single time you step on the grid iron, come away with the win.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: You do not apologize for wins.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: You do not apologize for divisional wins.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers are 3 and 0, 2 and 0 in the division.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: So possession of first place.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: You got the dub.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: That is paramount above all else.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we'll talk about the injuries.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about the game.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get into that.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: But the Seattle Seahawks lose.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: in the most any given Sunday any team can win at any moment to their down their quarterback they're down everybody the commanders are horrible man held their own walked you know beat Seattle first lost Seattle's had a thinking like 17 straight games
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: Commanders are not a good team.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: They're not.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: So you now are in first place, and here's what's crazy.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers I know there's going to be a lot of people that are like yeah, but yeah, but and I totally get that Do you know how many times the 49ers have been three and oh to start a season in their franchise history 10 times 10 times The 49ers are now doing things
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: that some of the greatest friends, you know, teams and history and the 49ers have not done.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: Three and oh is nothing to apologize for.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: And probably one of my biggest takeaways in this game, injuries are going to happen and there's going to be negatives and yeah, come on.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: You got the turn over on special teams and whether if you have Brock Perty, there is never a point in the game where
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: Brock party is whatever you want your quarterback to be in then some.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: He is unbelievable.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: I thought Brock played incredibly well.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if you just look at the statute, you know, they went 36 to 30.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: And Brock party goes 15 of 27 not great 297 yards great four touchdowns no interceptions great 133 pass a rating and you have that 35 yard run at the end of the game to ice it got a holding call had to come back whatever else and then just throws another testimony you mean to tell me this dude's through four touchdown passes today.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: to four different wide receivers.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: No, he had two to George Kittle, two to Kittle, you had one to depot, you had one to Evans.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, good gosh, a Brock party, that's the takeaway.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like he is the MVP right now.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like if the fucking it's early, there's three weeks, I get it.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: But if you had to vote for MVP right now, it's Brock Party.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's the best player in the NFL at the most important position in the NFL, Brock Party is the best player in the NFL so far.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: I got a little excited.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers won 36 to 30.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: This is episode 1730 of the 49ers R. spot gas did.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's a celebration.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: You win, you got to be excited.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: There are some asteris we're going to get in that have to say thank you to our executive producers Williamson Claire Corey Robbins 49ers George 365 David Gil appreciate all of the hashtag CC which being the chat's blowing up so I can't even get to all of them let me scroll that far up I love it I love it I am curious.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: what are some of your biggest takeaways.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see these get thrown up in the chat.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see what you got.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go through the injuries because there was at one point in the game where six starters were out.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: From this game, not six starters, like, yeah, we could talk about IR, 40 errors have the most players on IR, all those different things.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: Teyamador, Lenore, he gets friendly fire from Fred Warner, gets shaken out, taken to the locker room, can cuss you test all those things, comes back, played really well.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Evans, that looked a little scary.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: That looks scary.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: Get's hitting the back.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: stays out there than can't move.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: You saw the absolute pain he was in.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's carted off.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: They declared them out immediately.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're hoping that this and I hate to say this.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: you're hoping for like cracked ribs.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you're hoping for.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like man, I'm sitting there thinking like dude, bruised long, like spleen issue.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: I remember the Chris Sims entry was similar.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and that's all conjecture.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but that's what I was thinking the whole time.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: And you just hate to see,
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: one of the most physical players in the NFL and the history of the NFL at that position being so much pain like that's thing like ah, hope he's okay, hope he's okay, hope he's okay.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: Williams gets carted off for a stinger and you saw him back on the sidelines without his helmet, you know, walk it up and down so that gives you some hope and with certain players that are long in the tooth like Trent Williams like Mike Evans like Drake Greenlaw later, do you don't
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: There's a cautionary injury.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: You're done.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is September.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's still September.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's still September.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like, no, no, no, you're done.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: Anything happens you're done.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: And Drake Greenlaw, you know, he has looks like a hamstring injury.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: They're working him out on the sideline.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: They give him back his helmet, but they didn't put him back in.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was really, really smart.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: Just understand what some of these guys
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: You don't press this ain't December January play off football.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: Don't press right now.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: Grayson Halton had a lower leg stuff on extra point, but they said it was IV and cramps.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: So that's huge.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: At least didn't get carted off like were mellow like that is huge, but Grayson Hart is Halton is very first start.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he played really, really well.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: played awesome, but it couldn't even finish his first start.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's a killer.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even like you were in the extreme heat, right?
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: And Santa Clara's warm, but it's nothing like playing in the south.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: But Grayson Halton's going to be okay.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: Renardo Green was injured, came back.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: He played well, Drake Greenlaw, you know, had his helmet on, whatever, and then Garrett Wallow at the end of the game on an awesome special team's hit.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: He got shaken up as well.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's just like, man, you're losing so many players to injuries, and up until week two, the issue was, man, it's a lot of injuries, not your studs.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: This week, the story has been different.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Bosa, he's a stud.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's a stud, right?
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: Debo stud for an art of green stud, like.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: My Kevin's definitely stud, right?
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: Hall of Famers count as stud.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: So you've kind of changed the narrative to quantity of injuries, to the quality of players that are getting injured and now it's both end instead of, well, it's a lot of injuries, but not your solvers, now the solvers are going down.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: It definitely can't sustain this, you can't.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: And my biggest takeaway from all these injuries to core superstar players, this makes it so much harder to go out and trade.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: And we got to see each one of these injuries that's gonna be dealt individually.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: You got to see how many long-term ones there are.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there were really any two bad that were long-term.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: My Kevin's is the scariest for sure.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're going to be missing some of these guys along term, it's going to be like last year where the $40 were five and three heading into the trade deadline and didn't make any big swings.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: Got all these injuries along term to major players.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: And it's kind of hard to to swing.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: But again, last year it was, you know, freaking broken leg for Fred Warner.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: He went coming back to an ACL for Nick Bosa.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: He went coming back.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's where that was, like those were super long term.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: There are no stars currently as we speak with major long-term implications done for the year.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: Recompere solved, yeah, they happened early to Sean Striplin, I fully expect back, and both I expect back, Trent, I expect back.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Evans, we got to wait and see, but with it not being a lower extremity, I do think, I expect back, I think he'll be back there calling.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: Coming in with the super chat, my friend, appreciate you, buddy.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: Hope the media keep disrespecting Brock.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like it here's the thing.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like if I'm going to be very very, very honest, like a lot of the national media does not watch football games.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: They watch stat lines in box scores.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: The box score of this one is pretty damn impressive.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I do not anticipate a lot of shade going proxway because you look at the four touchdowns with no turnovers.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: And my Kevin's was out for the majority of the game like all right, like that's the thing like those guys don't watch football You know think of whatever name for whatever abbreviated television show you watch those guys don't watch football.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: They really really don't
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: I know people that work on those shows and they say in terms of right to takes, they're just up there as puppets, they're just muppets, you know, with a hand up there rear end, whatever.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: And they know if they piss you off, then you're going to send me the link.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: I block, you know, all those guys because I don't, I don't, I don't value their opinion.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: And so not say that you do calling, but I, I say this all the time, like, don't get mad at the clown if you keep going
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: You got to go to people that know what the hell they're talking about because they not only watch the game and you know This is a reactionary show a celebration show.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't go to the game today I was able to stay at home with the wife who had she had to work this morning or whatever else We got to watch the game together, which we don't get to do very often.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to take advantage of that.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: It was awesome But like dude the broadcast few sucks can't even see the safeties can't even see the safeties
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of these takes are knee jerk reactions, got away till you see the take, got away till you see the take, got away till you see the take.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Kimbro, thank you so much, man.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: Can't stay, but we got the W. Why it looked good?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: Again, Keon White just keeps falling out.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's impressive what he could do.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I talked about last year in the trade deadline,
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: The 40 hours didn't swing big, but you did get key on white and you got two good years of key on white.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I just, I really thought that he played well.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: He had three tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, and then the quarterback hit, which one the sack, right?
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: just was awesome.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: Kevin given's dude.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a huge Kevin given's guy.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: He got a quarterback hit, got a tackle.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: He was out there getting called up from the practice squad.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's almost a 10-year nighter.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: He sure is.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: He did it in a very different fashion.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: But Kevin given's has been there for a minute since 2019 he's been here every year.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: So Drake Greenlaw, Ed Depot, they were in that 2019 class left came back.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: You have Bosa and you've got Kevin Givens that I've been here every year since 2019.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: I had to think Kevin Givens is in the last kind of piece of his rope, do with that, what you will.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, man, getting quality minutes from those types of guys is a big deal.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Kimbro says Brock is the MVP go faithful.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think I could love that man.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Brock is the MVP.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Brock is the MVP and it's not in close.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even close.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: It really, really isn't.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's that damn good.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: Now you look at the stat line Christian McAfrey had a baller game, 15 carries 75 yards average five yards per rush.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: Ain't seen that a long damn time.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: Ain't seen that a long damn time.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: That is key, and these were the days we were dreaming of last year where the run game looks like the run game.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, you 23 rush attempts for 140 yards average 6.1 collectively.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's bad ass runging.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's bad ass runging, uh, Christian McCaffrey added four catches on five targets for 41 yards had that one hand during the fourth quarter, just like to be players make beast plays at the most important times.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's first in 10, everybody thinking they're going to run out the clock.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to run it back weeks and probably should have kept running on that one.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why he stopped his feet there, but that's okay.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: Brock leads him a little bit too much.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, that's okay.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just want to hand it.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just want to hand it.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: God, Christian me, Katherine.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the thing, like, Christian me and I keep screaming this and reiterating this over and over and over again.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: Christian McCaffrey looks way different than he did in 2024 and 2025.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: This looks like 2023.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: McCaffrey, the burst is there.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: There was that one play where he caught or I think it was a run.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Hugh, no, it's right after a pass, he catches it.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: Huge hit full on contact fixes his helmet after bouncing off the run.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: Elite contact balance and then gets the first down.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: pushing the pile forward.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't a Christian McAfrey thing the last two seasons.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: Really was it.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you found this healthy balance where look, man, we're gonna take you off the field a lot more.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: Caitlin Blacks getting a lot more work and snaps.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: You only had four carries for 17 yards.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: I wish they would have given them given on the ball more in the second half.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: Katelyn Black is getting snaps in the first and second drive.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: He, yeah, snaps in the very first drive, Katelyn Black.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's what's, that's what's important.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting breathers for CMC.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: Think back to last year, where it was just like, okay, Christian McAfrey's played 25 of 26 snaps.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like that anymore.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: The touch is 15 carries.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's as most this year.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then four receptions,
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot, but it's not 20, 25 a lot.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's not on pace to break the record for most touches in the NFL.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't break the record, but he led the NFL and touches all players last year.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that that's huge.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: You're establishing a good balance.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: And Caleb Black looks great.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now we'll say this.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: Caleb Black was pissed whatever he got taken out of the game when they had the ball in the one yard line.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: He was very upset.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: He was upset.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't score.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: He had an awesome run.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: Ran really, really hard.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think got a four yard run.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Got the ball.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: It was second and one, second and goal from the one.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: And he's going back to the hurdle.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: And he does this.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: And then you can see what's happening off the, you know, sideline.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: I love the competitive dude, hell, no, I got us to the one.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: Let me finish this and they're like, no, Christian been calf-free.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like, he's going after touchdown Hall of Fame records.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to put 23 in.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to get this touchdown.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: He did.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, sometimes you got to bow at me.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, I just wanted it is.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: But I love the competitor in Caleb Blacksade.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: Keep my ass out here.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: Don't pull me off the field.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: And if you do, I'm going to be pit, I love that.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: I love fire.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: I love competition.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: I love that mindset, but at the same time, you got to get off the field.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: Don't deal and steward it, right?
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and so by this coming in for you, you got to get out, you got to get out.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: Sean, what's up, man?
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate the super chat.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: Watkins stepped up.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: He came in.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: He had two catches on two targets for 60 yards.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: two big plays, man.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: His longest was 34.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I had a 34 yard reception and a 26 yard reception.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: And like this is going to take me to my next point.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Shinyan was bad ass.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen the 49ers do a gator formation, which is four eligible spread out to the right side, no illegibles to the left.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: You had a back in the backfield.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: Never seen that.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen Kyle do it.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: He may have done it.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe I don't remember it.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen that.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's hard to do from a team that doesn't do, you know, 10 personnel.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: But you've got four eligibles out there and like you never do this.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: You just, it's basically a reverse flood concept and you just lose Jordan Walkins in the middle that he runs the gauntlet drill.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: You remember whenever they drafted, Jordan Walkins and they're like, yeah, we actually really looked as gauntlet drill.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: why not like the purposeful understanding of we've got to get Jordan Walkins involved in the one thing he's good at when we target him the ball.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: Keep Jordan Walkins limited out there because he can't block and because there's errors in his routes and whatever else.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: So let's have a play design for him.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's huge and it worked.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: It worked to perfection and you got to fill goal right before the end of the game which turned out to be huge.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: because you know, if you were only up by, you know, if you take three points off the 49er score, and it's 33, I'm a smart guy to 27, they're driving the score.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: The goal ahead touchdown win with the extra points, we'll talk about that in a minute.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: But like that play before half, and I am pissed at Eddie Pinearo for missing not one, but two extra points.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: But whatever you make a 50, what was it, 57?
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they don't have it on here.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: I can go to the play by play.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yeah, I think it was 57.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: Is that right right before the half?
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: What was it here?
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 57 yard fill goal.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you tell me your your fill goal kicker's got to miss two extra points by hit a 57 yarder.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: Not that you want to take that every game, but it's just like what are those things like I'm pissed and there's a major critique there and you've got to work on that and any peneer sucks at extra points I get that I get that I get that but man you make a 57 yarders that that's huge.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: it down the flip side of that argument is okay well if you don't miss the extra points then you don't have to worry about that that's not a go for head touchdown because then you would have been up eight points right so there's lots of different back and forth that you could do there I get that playing the what if game is scary I give in any pinnero game ball or anything like that I mean he's no dust and Perry but
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: definitely that 57 yard fill goal was a gain changer.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: Now, just a couple real quick updates.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: We do have our monthly zoom hang out Tuesday.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm freaking pumped about this.

- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: We had another close week, but I think we still ended positive I think with that last fill go I don't think we hit or we did the alternative line six and a half and they won by six.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: They got us on that one, but I still had a positive week and man seven day free trial and if you do sign up you get every single play come on guys.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: We got to take learn more about the Niners.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: I paint until I really see the tape, but you got to see the tape to really see what it looks like, but then I'll see it close from the film.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_04]: The things that we saw on tape, the things that we require.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_04]: I hope you look the same on tape.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_03]: Get better from the tape, but before we're hoping to have some good film on those guys and we'll get to those things we got on the plane.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: If the 49ers coaches and players have to watch the tape, what do you think you need to do?
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, guess what?
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: We got the tape.

- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: Guess what?
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers rush.com is the place to go.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: Alright, we got some super chats.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: Sean, appreciate you, man.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, happy to get the dub after this wild day.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: Cheers, John.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: Man, you look at across the NFL.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: How many teams are three and oh you've got the bills who barely won against they barely won against the chargers who are oh and three like that's just what it is you got the Kansas City Chiefs who barely beat the dolphins who we destroyed last week right but that's a division game like division games are close chiefs and the bills look as good as anybody in the NFL but
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, they have close games too.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: And then you've got the 49ers.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: They are 3-0 did.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: And in the Minnesota Vikings, they just won.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: So now they are 3-0.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: We bet really big on them to win the division by the way.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: They were long shots there.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got two teams in the NFC that are 3-0.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: The Eagles play later.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: So they still have the opportunity, but that's it.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking five teams across the NFL that have the potential to go three in a really there's only four right now until you see so like the 49ers have done everything that needs to be asked so far.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: Again, 10 times and 49ers history, the 49ers have started 3-0.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: 10 times.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: This is not a common occurrence.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's not.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: And so on these days where you have teams like the Seahawks losing to the commanders and teams close all across the country do don't apologize for wins.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes they look scrappy.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: And good teams win those scrappy games.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: And my notes talk about like,
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, first two games were 20 point victories and halfway through the second quarter.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, oh, this is another one of those games.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like, just going to blow them out.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: Now some things change.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: Turn over, uh, misdexter points, penalties, blah, blah, blah, blah, injuries.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: They kind of came back.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: But you kept putting them back in their place.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing that I really, really like just about
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: kind of, you know, a Brock party and what what he does is like, man, you want that guy that just refuses to go down.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: It just alligator blood, right?
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: Refuses the die.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: That is Brock party.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: And the ultimate, you know, I tweeted out the Dave Chappelle, Rick James get where he's stopping the couch, just the F. Your couch mean that run at the end of the game was the ultimate, just like, you could get close.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to get close enough because
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: And that's exactly what Brock party did.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: Just refuse to lose.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to win the game because if he has the ball last, that's all that matters.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's all that matters.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_01]: Tray, thank you so much, my friend.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: He says, yeah, BCB, a big boy, Brock.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: Did what Darnell did today.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: He'd be crucified.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: Can't wait for Seattle brother.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: Mav says hi.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, Mav?
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, it was awesome seeing that a highlight you shouldn't me do.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate that.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: Mav, you're a freaking legend.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: Can't wait to hang out in Seattle, which man.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm super pumped about Seattle too, because shoot man.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you guys saw the news.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be there for the 49ers rush road trip.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: We just signed Ricky Waters.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: So not only do you get a party with us, a tray in Mav,
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: You get a hangout with Ricky Waters.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure you head over to 49ers rushroachrip.com.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: Tickets are up right now and there's cheapest they can be.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: Man, you get a meat and greed with freaking Ricky running waters.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: We're selling them for $25 right now, early per special that ain't going to last.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: That has to go up.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get into all that stuff, but I'm trying to reward people that pay early because it helps us with staffing.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, you want to come party with us.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be at all those cities this year.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be at Seattle Atlanta Dallas, Mexico City and Los Angeles, but yeah, that's huge.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: It also shoot might as well for Dallas.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: We got Navarro Bowman.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, that's probably gonna be the only players that we signed up for this year.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: So like if you're looking for a meet and greet and you're like, man, I'm kind of on the fence.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: Seattle and Dallas are definitely gonna be the big ones.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_01]: Atlanta's gonna be awesome, Mexico City.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna be great.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, the chargers who are now on three.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: Now they are, oh and three.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: Ugh.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: Harble having a rough one out there.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: Monkey, thanks for the super chat, my friend.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's only week three.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: But the top of the division feels good.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_01]: You're 3-0, 2-0 in the division.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: That is the thing that separates, right?
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: 3-0 is great.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: 2-0 in the division.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: That is very difficult.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: We've already have in wins against the ramps, and already have in wins against the cardinals.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the Seattle Seahawks.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: They're 1-0 in the division.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: Rams do not have a division when they're 0 and 1.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: And the cardinals are 0 and 2 in the division.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: So there's only 6.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: with your, you know, division schedule and you've handled business.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like getting out to the lead, am I saying the Niners are going to win the division?
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's not necessarily what I'm saying.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: Being it, you'd rather be where the 49ers are than any other team, just period.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: This is where you want to be the Niners have handled business and you don't apologize for that.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: You really, really don't.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: Um, right here.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: David, appreciate you, man.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's Mike going to be another victim of the dust and Perry.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like dust and Perry at all.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: And some like I blame dust and Perry for soft tissue injuries rushing players back before their healthy to take it a weird shot to the back of the ribs that I don't put that one on him.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: Crambs I do, you know, I have your players hydrated, you know, ankle sprains, I do not, calf strains, I do hamstrings, I do re-injuries, I do, but yeah, like concussions, take a weird hits, I do not.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: Even ACLs probably not too much unless there was an issue and you can't play in a player, then I do.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_01]: But man, I really hope there's some good news.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: about my Kevin's and you know you're going to have to kind of wait until
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: they get the whole, what's it called, you know, MRI and all that stuff.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: And just kind of see what that is.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: Shoot man, Baker Mayfields hurt now.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like the quarterbacks just keep getting injured across the NFL.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: Meanwhile, Brock Perti, he's just hanging close all the time.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Kyle said he didn't know the nature of the injury at this point.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: So we're not getting any new news there.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: My assumption is something will come out later tonight, probably,
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: I hope that he's okay, but scary stuff.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: Grayson, Grayson did not come back.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: They had him on the sideline with his helmet on.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: They gave him an IV, it was cramps.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: Cramps are not a big deal.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: So, but man, if it's locking up and whatever else and you've had so many entries at that position, you bubble wrap guys that had a problem.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: Especially what you've gone with with Deshawn Strippling where he gets injured, you put them right back out there, non-contact to the same thing that you checked out, right?
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like dude, why receivers defensive linemen?
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: If there's anything, you gotta shut them down because you're just, God, you're stacking injuries at those spots continuously.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think what's up, my man.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: He says it seems Kyle is implementing different offensive schemes
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's, Kyle is a freaking genius when it comes to wrinkles.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a different offensive scheme, like we have, so like the gator formation before halftime, which was 100% Kyle Shanahan thing.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_01]: You're an 11 person now, and you just motion differently than you ever motion before.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then allowed that to be set up.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the,
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: First, third down the hook and ladder, which a lot of people are like, dude, why you keep calling it like, I spell it L-A-T-T-E-R. And I'm not sure, I know it's called the hook and ladder, L-A-D-T-E-R, but it's hook and ladder rule, right?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, two, I don't know the right way to spell it, but people get mad if you spell it not the way they want it.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: Spill.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: Why are you emailing me turn a forty-dieter's game on how to spell some fix that?
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: But that's okay.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate your emails for your Schwartz podcast at Gmail.com.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: I try to get everybody's but yeah, it's just like dude.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: What do you do it?
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's hook and lateral.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably what it should be say.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: It hook and ladder for short.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: But even on that one, like I was like, oh man, they're taking George Kittle out on third down.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: So we still on this snap count whatever.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: But what they did was they run released
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: They made it look like a run from the back side, nub tied in, Luke Feral, like he was run blocking to get to the safety safety comes down on a run fit and then it's a pass, but you can do that because he's tied in.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's allowed to release upfield.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's an eligible wide receiver.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: So like just tiny little wrinkles.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like that is the shant of hand way.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's all the same.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's window dressing that adjust the alignment,
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: and angles of the plays and how they execute with a couple of trick plays that sprinkled in and man Kyle Shetty had manifested 10 points in that first half manifest at the gator play to Georgia walkage right before the half and that hook and ladder on the very first third down.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's all Kyle Shetty had.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: That is now you got to give credit to Debo, Luke Feral, the blocking, my give it the pitch.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: You got to execute it.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: But man, that's freaking upstairs Kyle Shanahan doing his damn thing.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, it's freaking wild, man.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: Right here Tommy appreciates you so much, man.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: He says, Pune is an all-pro.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: He got injured too, it came back.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like he was waiting to get into the tent with Trent Williams.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody tweeted that out.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he was just waiting to see if he was okay or not.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: But Pune was out there, he didn't miss really any time.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: played really, really well.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: And again, with all fits of line, especially interior offensive line, you got to kind of wait to judge it.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: And like I'll be honest, like I had my eye on the dairy and low when Trent went out as best I could.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: Helled his own.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like you paid for a premium backup swing tackle.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: The dairy and helled his own.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody's Trent Williams.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody is.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Trent Williams is still a top three left tackle in the NFL.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: It might not be top one, but I don't think he's number three either.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's that damn good.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: The dairy and low is not that, but this offense can function.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: If you're getting an adequate play from the left tackle spot whenever we dive through tape, especially when Trent Williams goes out, it's going to be a heavy, vaderian low emphasis on the tape.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll have that answer for you the next coming days.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: So rest assured of that.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: I have pretty excited, but Dominique Pune, like I've been saying, you're hoping for proble level play from 77 and I think you're getting it through three weeks.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: Can he have the consistency to stay there?
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I want to see, but yeah, Dominique Poonie, man, he is, he is awesome.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to Ben, he's an old line guy.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: I respect that.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate the super chat, my friend.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: 949, that is the right number.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to our offensive line, just keeps efficiently doing exactly what they need to do.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, you look at what their defense did, no sacks again,
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: one quarterback hit.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: That was it.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: No sacks, one quarterback hit.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: When you leave an MVP level player, like Brock Perty, upright.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: great things are going to happen for touchdowns, no interceptions.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: Now I did have one bad throw and it was the play that I think Mike Evans got hurt where he threw kind of into triple coverage.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like that was a bad one didn't result in a turnover.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: There are going to be bad throws from every single quarterback of the NFL.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you just look at freaking anyway.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: If you watch any of that bill's chargers game, it was just like what the hell is happening.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: Talk about Drake May, you know, he was running up for MVP last year.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: That dude looks like a JV quarterback at this level.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: What happened?
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: Regression happens.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't have a Brock party.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_01]: There's never been a point in Brock party's career where he has looked normal.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: You just can't do it.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's too damn good.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: And whenever the offensive line plays to this standard even without Trent Williams, Brock party's just going to keep freaking dominating.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: man.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I think I am curious because I want to look because MVP voters don't watch a lot of the games.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: I really wish that they did a lot of them are stats and box score guys and whatever else.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: Josh Allen threw no touchdowns to interceptions today and does it show fumbles?
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, doesn't show on the ESPN, but yeah, he had a 48.9 QBR, like, not pro, like Josh Allen.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: I like, I think if, you don't vote after two weeks, you don't vote after three weeks.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: You don't vote after 10 weeks, but there is, like, all the power rankings, whatever else, like there's a constant thing in the back of your mind, like dude, this dude's playing like the MVP right now, Brock, pretty Z MVP.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: If you had to vote after three weeks, we're almost the recorder of the season, Brock,
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: period.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: You're one of five remaining unbeaten teams in the NFL and you're the best player on the best team.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: Now you can say like, oh, well, there might be other better teams or blah, blah, blah, blah, I totally understand that, but like again.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: Minnesota Vikings, they switched their quarterbacks.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: And MVP is just quarterback award now.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: Eagles, J.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: The Hertz held no Kansas City cheese, my homes.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's definitely in that conversation.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: And then Josh Allen, those are the undefeated quarterbacks at this level that you're kind of talking about.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you want to throw Trevor Lawrence in there.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not really seeing anybody else that even should be considered at that point.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: is Brock going to continue playing at this level.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: Probably not.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, everybody keeps getting injured and whatever else.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: And he just keeps freaking doing the same damn thing.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's just playing at such an unbelievable pace.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like how the hell do you get away from this?
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: So he's got nine touchdowns, one interception, nine touchdowns, one interception at this point, completed way over 70% completion, plus the rushing, you've got the MVP moments.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the Brock party running, jumping and throwing like, he is playing level 10 degree of difficulty besides the offensive line.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: And that play, which was a reception, by the way, I understand why Kyle did not challenge it.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't like wasting time out early.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: They already had a waste one time out in the first half because Debo had a busted helmet and didn't sell himself out.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: Brock pretty had a yell at him to get out.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: He had a waste of time out there.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't want to waste a second one.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was a reception.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: But you need to tell me, Brock Bertie's scrambling throwing against his body, jump past whatever else to Luke Farrell.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's not like he's just like, oh, screw it, just in Jefferson's down there.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_01]: My Kevin's is that, no, Luke Ferrell.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: I gotta make this jump pass to get to Luke Ferrell.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, man.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: Bro, pretty, he's freaking incredible, man, just period.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: Reese, John, what was that defense third?
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: Down on D was atrocious.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: It was bad and there was there was a lot of bad now.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: The Cardinals finished nine of 18 on third downs.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: What happened was you got tired and you started making mistakes and you started couldn't get off the field.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the last, you know, drives of, here we go.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go back to Dangdevase score on one, two, three.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: They scored on their last three drives.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: So starting in the fourth quarter, five plays 28 yards.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: That was after that stupid punt play, which I got to watch the tape because they don't show it.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like you got to get a Peter Peter call from Jacob Cowling.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like Sierra Nill was done.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: But Jacob Cowen's got to clear it out.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: So if it's a short kick to the numbers,
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: You tell your punt returner, you've got to alert your corners.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: You got to, because their back is to the punter.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: They don't know where the ball is gonna land.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: It is your job to run to the area and you know, Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter, which means get the hell away.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't see Jacob counting to any of that.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's just like fading away, like you've got to attack that those short punts and clear them out.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter, get away, get away.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Sierra Nill, you know, not great.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know, I am curious the coaching point on that and once I go through the tape, I'll be able to tell you for sure.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: But like my initial reaction is like, dude, Jacob Cowling, you got to be more vocal, more demonstrative.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: You got to attack that for that very reason.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: That guy has his back to the point.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: He has no clue where the ball is.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's not his job against the gunner.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's not.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, that happens.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: So like the 49ers defense is doing their job.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: They hold the Cardinals to a three and out to end the third quarter.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: Then the pot happens and the game's like 23 to 13.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's everything's looking good.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: Gonna ice it up into the fourth quarter.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: Then that happens.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Then the Cardinals go on a 5 play 28 yard drive for a touchdown.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: Brock goes down scores to touchdown.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: They get the ball back 14 plays, 68 yard touchdown for the Cardinals.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Brock goes down there, answer scores again.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: Then they come out five plays, 35 yards for the fill goal.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: Then the onside kit game over.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's like, man, cards touchdown, nine are touchdown, cards touchdown, nine are touchdown, cards fill goal, run the clock out, just kneel it out.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, not in succession of the ones we just talked about.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: Cardinals had a 14 play, 69 yard touchdown drive in the first half.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: They had a 8 play, 59 yard field goal drive.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: They had a 14 play 54 yard, they just couldn't get off.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: It felt like a lot of the Robert solid defenses where you have these third and longs, we just don't get off the damn field.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: Now, two of those, jire Brown, now they were rotating safety
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: They want to get malignant stuff with some snaps.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't mind that.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: However, they rotate them in a series for Jair Brown.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: Then they rotate them in a series for Marky Seagull.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: Do not like that.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_01]: and they go back to their starters for most of the second half, but then they rotate them in for number 27, they rotate them in for Marky Segel.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_01]: And again, three of the biggest plays of the day, Shocker, 27 is gonna be in the highlight film, real 100% again for the Cardinals.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_01]: He has every single game, he has every single game.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that he had a bad game.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: We'll wait till we get to the tape, but I can tell you three of the biggest plays the Cardinals had on offense were all that on third downs were all that number 27 all of them.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: One of them.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: It was a man free.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's the free safety.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: Renato Green had man coverage, Renato Green gets beat to the inside on a deep end breaker.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: Where the hell was Jair Brown on that?
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's 10 yards late.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't arrive to the scene of the crime and it's like, dude, that is where you should be.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: You're a middle of the field safety.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: You got a deep end breaker.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: like you should be right there, um, anyway, 27's 27.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: The game that Jair Brown had last week was one of the better games of his career.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: Marky Siegel, dude, like I will say it this way.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: Marquis Seagull's worst game.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown has 20 worst games.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: Then Marquis Seagull's worst game.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I'm like, dude, don't take Marquis Seagull out if 27 is gonna be, like that is just dumb.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: But he owned somebody in that room.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it is.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it is.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: Marquis Seagull's played phenomenal.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: This was probably not his best game of the year, probably his worst game of the year, but it wasn't bad.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't think Marquis Seagull had a bad game.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: But it's just like, why the hell are you taking him out?
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: Marky Seagull had four tackles, two solo tackles.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: I got to wait till we get to the tape.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: Malatin stuff at four tackles, one solo tackle.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown had six tackles, two solo tackles did it.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: Get a pass to flexion.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_01]: Got to give him that.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: The Big Plays, 27 was involved, period.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: Clark, my man, what's up, brother?
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: Clark is the freaking band challenge to your dad as well.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: Your whole family, man, glad to see you in here.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the super chat, your kindness.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: You are freaking awesome.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: Can't wait to party with you.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure what games you're coming to this year, but Clark is one of the most well-traveled 49ers fans in the history of fandom.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: You are the freaking man.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_01]: Can't wait to hang out buddy.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: Can't wait to hang out.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: Other positives that I want to get to Debo Samuel.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he broke the 20 mile hour barrier on that hook and ladder.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: No 49ers ball carrier did that last year at any point.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about how the 49ers are slow team, old team.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: Debo looked Debo fast, man.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: Catching him.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: It catches him as difficult to say the least.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Feral continued to look promising.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: Jacob Cowling should have had a big play.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: Brock threw him a great ball.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_01]: He just sunk back and tried to belly catch.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: You got to go attack the ball, man.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: Just like you got to dunk that shit.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: the angry sharks are swimming but yeah Jacob Cowling's just fading back on a post route.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: Go get the damn ball.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like don't basket catch against man coverage on a deep ball.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: Go get the ball.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: Go get the ball.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: Go get the ball.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: Jacob Cowling.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_01]: I had a huge negative two place for Jacob Cowling in my opinion.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_01]: Huge negative two place.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: We got away to we see the tape.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: Got away to we see
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: Gotta wait till we see the tape.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle, you check, I thought I had a great game.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's got no stats.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: Almost had an amazing one handed catch touchdown.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about Katelyn Black defensively.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: Fred Warner, 17 tackles, eight solo, one tackle for Los and a quarterback hit.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what else we want from Fred Warner.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_01]: He is playing at a level that you have to put up there with the greatest linebacker level play in the history of the 49ers, which I, the 49ers have the richest linebacker history in the NFL, Keanu Turner, you know, obviously Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna be with us in Dallas, Drake Greenlaw, Fred Warner, Ken Norton, there's more, there's more.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: I could stay here all day.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: Fred Warner is playing at such an elite level that I am going to be beyond disappointed if he doesn't get a defensive player the year the next year to if he sustains this level of play.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now defense player the year usually doesn't go to line backers.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's usually like the quarterback in MVP race.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: It goes to pass rushers or corners linebackers because you don't get the interceptions.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: You don't get the sacks.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: You just get the
- 47:10[SPEAKER_01]: Fred Warner is playing at such an elite level and I will continue to say this, he's the biggest gap player in the NFL.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_01]: When you look at positional rankings, you look at any player at any position, right, who's the best quarterback, who's the best running back, who's the best tighted, whatever.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: The biggest gap between one and two, all 22 starting level positions, Fred Warner to number two.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's Zach Bon.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's stat wise that bomb's got great stats, but like no that's a fan geoskeem that highlights inside back or whatever else is Fred Warner giant Kazum to the next best player right like Fred Warner is playing some elite level football.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's gonna get a defense and player the year but it's just like holy like we are lucky that we get a C-54
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: late like I hope we all understand like you're watching greatness you might be watching the greatest linebacker of all time.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's in that level.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: With the way he is playing right now because of the coverage that he provides the best coverage linebacker in the NFL also got
- 48:33[SPEAKER_01]: got a quarterback hit and even the sack that you got with, you know, you had two stacks, one of the stacks you got was because of Fred Warner.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like he, he does that fake blitz where he takes two steps up.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: The tackle comes down.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: You get a free blitzer.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: Sack takes place.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: Like Fred Warner is the ultimate just power up for anybody around him.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: Period.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really, really hope that people just like,
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: you get a C Fred Warner.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's getting to the point where it's like, should we go to the game to Fred Warner's plan?
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: How many times do we get a C somebody play any sport at this level?
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's where it's getting.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_01]: I remember my dad like at a young age, like he would tell me and be like, dude, you guys sit down watching this game.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: This is the bulls.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_01]: I was at the biggest basketball guy at this young age.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, you gotta watch this.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: He might be the best ever at this point and I was young.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: So this was like Jordan still had years left.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: But it was just like, I remember that moment.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: My dad just saying like, dude, you need to watch this guy right here.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: Probably the best ever to do it.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he is a die-hard Celtics fan.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I know it broke his heart to say that.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: But I remember sitting down, you know, young, chubby Chapman.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_01]: And just being like, okay, all right.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then I knew.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: And then I wanted to watch more.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's the stage we're getting into with Fred Warner.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_01]: People are gonna talk about this guy for a long time.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: There is free Fred Warner linebacker play in the NFL.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: There is post Fred Warner linebacker play.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: He has changed the position forever.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: Can't go back.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, you think about the Joker line.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: I want to kill you.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I wouldn't know what to do without you, right?
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: I can't go back to the way things were they're boring.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now you complete me, right?
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is what Fred Warner has done.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: He has revolutionized the NFL.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: And he's just continuously just, a little bit better, a little bit better than he was, a little bit better, like he's still in a Cindy and player after that injury.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man, gosh, dude, and like right here, like David, love Fred so much, but you can't take him over LT, LT's an edge.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: He was classified as a linebacker.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_01]: He did not play off ball linebacker.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_01]: I would say LT is the greatest defense player in the history of the sport.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: Cool, Ray Lewis.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: We're judging Ray Lewis.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_01]: in his completed whatever, which is phenomenal, right?
- 51:09[SPEAKER_01]: I hate Ray Lewis, he's a murderer, but allegedly.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: But Fred Warner, we're judging at 29, right?
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: So how long does Fred Warner have?
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's my thing, like, you're judging Ray Lewis after being one of the longest tenure or linebackers ever, and cool, awesome.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just telling you, it's gonna be a little bit of a debate.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: and it will be.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, LT agreed, I count him as an edge, whatever else, but I love these conversations, by the way, and thank you, like nostalgia, that's where I want to be, baby.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I love that.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: Couple other defensive wrinkles, man.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, there was a place to bash a valve desk is out there playing defensive end.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: Sebastian valve desk and Kevin Gibbons were out there on the same play, playing defensive end.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's the state.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: of the 49ers defense of line and it worked by the way, where he Morris is a badass name and jammer.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: I love his defense because you never know what's gonna happen.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: Are they in base?
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: Are they in 425 or are they in nickel or are they in time?
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: Is there four linemen, five linemen?
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: Are you doing a show blitz?
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have three defensive tackles and one defensive him?
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have three defensive ends and one defensive tackle?
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like, are they slanting?
- 52:33[SPEAKER_01]: Are they stunting?
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: Are you blitzing the safety?
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: Are you blitzing the nickel, corner, linebacker, both linebackers?
- 52:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, do the packet of information that offenses have to go through on a weekly basis during their blitz pickup scheme.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's a freaking book.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: and Reheem Morris is cooking with poor ingredients, especially up front, but he's getting the job done with Sebastian Valdez and Kevin Gibbons out there at defensive end at the same time.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: Kevin Gibbons was not even on a 90 man roster for the majority of the offseason.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: All right, come on man, you're on play defensive end.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: And a divisional game, we three.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_01]: Sebastian Valdez, Hulk gets out there.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: He had three tackles, one solo.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to see the tape, but 55 got snaps.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: He was out there in the first drive.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_01]: Loved it.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_01]: Love seeing that.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_01]: But like listen to these names.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: Nequan Jones.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_01]: Kevin Gibbons.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, man.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh book or wrong quote.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: Sebastian Valdez, Colleen Karim.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: Garrett, well, like you see what I'm saying, like it's not like you're out there with premium players all across the board.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_01]: This is going to rival the best defense in sports.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_01]: No, you gave up 30 points to the Cardinals, but you get the damn job done.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what it's going to be.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers did it last year, but this defense looks completely different than last year.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: Last year, you could not get pressure to save your life.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: You just couldn't do it.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: Robert saw it could not manufacture.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: He could not create what Rahe Morris is created with what he has right Tony Stark built this in a cave with scraps.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: What Rahe Morris is doing is awesome because you got five quarter back hits at two sets.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: It is just, ah, man, I am so pumped.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_01]: What happens when you get some of these guys back?
- 54:55[SPEAKER_01]: Because I do think a lot of them are coming back.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting Nick Bosa back.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting Mikael Williams back.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting Sam Opek.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting Ramello Heipack.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_01]: That changes things.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_01]: CJ West, I expect back at some point, right?
- 55:10[SPEAKER_01]: James Thompson Jr., I expect back.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys are better than almost anybody not named OSA that you had out there today.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: And Kion White, OSA and Kion White.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: You get all of that back.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_01]: Those aren't long-term injuries.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_01]: They're not.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna get them back soon.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_01]: So the fact that you could stack wins at this early point in the season,
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know to win on the division with all those injuries, which there are a lot, you're getting them back guys, that is huge, and because of that, nighters are in it.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_01]: Do I think that they're going to do a huge home run trade?
- 55:51[SPEAKER_01]: Not right now they won't.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_01]: Not right now they won't right now there is not a point to go out and trade for that star player.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I know you're going to keep emailing me and asking me, John, should they do this?
- 56:02[SPEAKER_01]: And they do this, should they do this?
- 56:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's cool.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: I love those conversations.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: Here's my answer.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: Hell no, not right now.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: One, still teams are not selling.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like I will continually say this.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_01]: Teams don't sell at 0 and 3.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_01]: They do not.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_01]: Oh and four, they have the conversation.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_01]: The dolphins are all in three.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: They don't really have a lot to sell.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_01]: The Texans are all in three.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: Now if the Texans keep losing, like they're not in a situation to fire their GM or coach, that's not gonna happen, but man, if they wanna like, build up some draft capital to try to get a quarterback and CJ Stroud really isn't him.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's in a contract here.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't do an extension.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_01]: huge quarterback draft coming up do they could use some extra like Houston.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_01]: We have a problem.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I hate rooting against Houston.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_01]: I really do because I'd love to me go Ryan's.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I like that.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_01]: I hate Houston City, but I like Houston fanbase because they got screwed over by a terrible ownership group, but that's a whole other side conversation.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: But like I usually like pulling for Houston, right?
- 57:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm rooting against them the rest of the season because I think it's in the 49er's best interest if they do go 0 and 4 0 and 5 and have to get rid of some contract to your players.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_01]: because there's a lot of fits there.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: Tennessee Titan so in three.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Robert saw this a good coach.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Brian Dayball is a head coach, the asterisk.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think Robert saw this very good DC.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_01]: North Turner on the defensive side.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_01]: If I was Robert saw that I'd go coach college somewhere and be head coach if he wants to be head coach so bad, but this is going to be the end of his tenure.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_01]: Probably might even be a one and done.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_01]: I hope not, but I want Tennessee to
- 57:47[SPEAKER_01]: I like hardball.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's a cheater.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_01]: Michigan, uh, but in Michigan funny.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, Wayne's not on here, but anyway, like those are the three teams cross conference trades or more likely and the 49ers got amazing relationships with the all three of those teams.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_01]: root against the chargers, root against the Titans, root against the Texans if you want a huge trait.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_01]: Then you get to the NFC, the bucks are the only old one three team.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't somebody tell you guys the bucks were gonna be bad.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't somebody bet with you guys, the bucks didn't make it the playoffs, they still might.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_01]: But they're old and three.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I told you all they were a dumpster fire.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really did.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's the only defeated team left in the NFC.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: Bucks losing is beneficial.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that they're going to trade a lot of way But yeah, that one's huge man to the NFC South is one and two one and two one and two one and two one and three they only have three wins.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers have as many wins as the entire NFC South get that Somebody get these beggars out of here
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man, ah, I freaking love it.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, in that coach, I mean, the only reason why Mike Evans here is because they wanted that coach gone, um, and yeah, I mean, they're, you know, chasing the light.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of the best general managers.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think out there, it's just, yeah, that sometimes this happens and now may feel it's injured.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_01]: sin and viva me and that's going to be almost impossible like trading players the first year they do a contract you have to do a complete reset because you take all that dead money right so like if you look at sauce gardener trade
- 59:33[SPEAKER_01]: You had the jet's paid all this money to saw Skardner and traded him a year later and just swallow it all that dead money because they weren't even close to the cap rules and so they can do that.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_01]: So it has to be a team that's willing to take on a lot of dead cap space and be a complete rebuild.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure the books fit that narrative.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_01]: I would love you to pay a.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he is on their trade.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think he is a foundational core player that is on the side of their stadium.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_01]: And number one, Jersey sells and all that stuff.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_01]: Team struggled to trade that owners kind of veto those type of guys.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_01]: And if they were going to trade them, that time has come and gone.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_01]: You did that huge contract.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: I doubt they move him now, but hell yeah.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, just, what's up, I like the tag.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_01]: Um, Mustafa and Seagull should be our starters.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've been saying that forever.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's, uh, been saying that, I agree.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_01]: Joe, uh, Nick Martin is he on the intro reserve.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_01]: He is.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Nick Martin might stay on intro reserve because you have so many linebackers.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would take one to two entries at the linebacker position before you took them off of IR just because
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_01]: man, you've got so many of those IR roster spots that you've got to use, you only got eight, and man, those eight guys are kind of already on that list.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, man, Nick Barton said the bottom of that list, Nate Hobbes is at the bottom of that list.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_01]: So like there's already eight guys that you on IR that you're hoping to bring back.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't include future injuries.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_01]: We're three weeks in.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_01]: How long is my Kevin's going to be out?
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_01]: Trit Williams, I expect to be fine.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_01]: And really the good thing is, I think almost all the injuries that took place today.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_01]: Deem already came back.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Evans, the long-term question mark Trent Williams.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to be fine.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_01]: Still had his shoulder pads on came back to the sideline.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_01]: Grace and Halton was cramp.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: Ronaldo Green came back.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_01]: Drake Green law had his helmet on.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, might be a hamstring strain.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's probably going to be okay.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_01]: Garrett Wallace showed her out.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_01]: No, how intense that was at the end of the game.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome play.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you're going to get a lot of those back.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really do.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think you're adding at this moment.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you're adding any more players to IR based off this game.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: My Kevin's is the one caveat to that.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_01]: That is good news, but what we don't know can hurt us and injuries happen in practice almost as much as they do for games and so like you've, you've, you've, say, Mo hurt in practice.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_01]: You had, after concert in practice, you had Nick Bosa hurt in practice like 40 hours practice hard.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers practice hard.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, Rick?
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you, man.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, John Trent Williams is okay.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_01]: Also, as Mike Evans is going to be okay.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_01]: It just got a way to see there.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, boys is a protector.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_01]: PTSC is a real thing.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a real thing in the locker room, too.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: You had, you know, somebody asked Kyle Shanahan, does it feel like groundhog day with all these
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_01]: injured team in the NFL, nine out of 10 years at Kyle Shanahan has been here.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_01]: And if you want to get bigger than that, the Niners have been the most injured team in the NFL.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's like 15 out of 17 years since they left Candlestick, predates Kyle Shanahan, predates Kyle Shanahan.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_01]: And this is getting worse and worse every year.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's not getting better.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now as you get an older roster, injuries are going to be more of a thing.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_01]: for those of you that are in your 40s like me, it kind of makes sense.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_01]: That'll be into me.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if somebody's like 40s, 40s, yuck.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_01]: It is, but like, yeah.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, a lot of tryouts with a lot of edge players Matthew Judon, there's leaks out there that they're gonna sign them.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's a great idea, I think that's a great idea.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's floating around.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about the credible source on that one, but you're gonna be signed in somebody.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_01]: right here, Kyle didn't even understand.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle understood the groundhog day reference.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle is dismissive to questions he doesn't like, right?
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle will undercut the logical whatever to make things seen more appeasing and positive than what is being alluded to by a negative
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_01]: kind of where that that is.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_01]: So like here I'll let Kyle say it right?
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_02]: I understand I don't think you understand.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle will throw shade like nobody's business.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of like it because you got to get political answers because your locker room, if you talk about, if he gets the negative answer, that's going to be all over social media, which
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, their family sure as hell are I could show you the messages and likes and retweets and shares and whatever else like family members all about this stuff.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_01]: So if you put something negative out there, that circulates in the locker room with the families, the players here about it whenever they whatever and like there.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's what it is.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_01]: So you got to be kind of smart with it.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Kyle does that.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really do.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I will say this being like, we've got a free bet this week up at my bookie.

- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_01]: All right, updating real quick before we hit the road here.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_01]: The 40 diners win, what pretty, but it was a win.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_01]: And it was a divisional win.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_01]: They're three in a, they're in first place.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_01]: They're one of five unbeaten teams in the NFL.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_01]: You have a full game lead in the NFC West now.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_01]: And like even at the Niners lose, they'd still be in first place because they hold all of the tie breakers because they have a win against the Rams.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_01]: And they're the only team in the division with two divisional wins.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_01]: So like even if you get to the point where man, you lose to Seattle, then I think the type breakers and all that stuff kind of gets weird, but they've got the space, the schedule, schedules rough.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_01]: you are now through probably the easiest part of the schedule because you had the dolphins and you had the cartels and it felt in a little bit of a solid to the Niners because of that Australia trip.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_01]: You've got the Broncos tough game.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_01]: You've got the Seahawks at Seattle tough game.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be there for 49ers for a Schroach trip.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_01]: Comp Party with Ricky Waters will suck.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_01]: Washington Commanders just beat freaking Seattle.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_01]: Now it was kind of like a perfect scenario running quarterback horrible weather rain, whatever else on the road.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_01]: whatever.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_01]: But they won.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_01]: Washington has to come all the way to Santa Clara.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_01]: Then you've got at the Falcons who now look like a functioning team because they have an actual quarterback, then the by week.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got a fun for games.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_01]: The best two teams are Seattle on the Broncos, then you have to mid lean to dangerous teams.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_01]: Falcons, I would put a little more dangerous, commanders, a little bit more mid lane.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like Marcus Marriottas do for one of these games a year where he just like balls out when he shouldn't.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_01]: He did it against the 49ers like back in 2022.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_01]: I remember that game.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and then the next week he just looks horrible.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why or how he does it, but it's what it is.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_01]: And like I see people talk about the run defense.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_01]: And like I get it.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like the run defense wasn't great, but man, you look at the numbers collectively in a close game.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_01]: The average 3.4 yards per rush.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_01]: That is what the 49ers have allowed, you know, through the first two games as well, dude, that's not bad.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_01]: run yards per game or per play.
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's really not that bad.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's not great, but they rush 27 times for 93 yards.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_01]: 3.4 yards per carry.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like Niners ran for 140 yards on 23 carries, 6.1.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_01]: So like people keep talking about the run defense and there are some run plays where it's like man, you're giving up 5 to 6 a little too consistently.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_01]: He held them up to under a hundred yards and he held them to under four yards per carry.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty good in the NFL, especially whatever you're playing against a team that's been a top five pick on a generational runback toward and love did look good.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_01]: The chair of my love did look good, but like I don't know, like if you told me going into any game the rest of this season that the 49ers would hold the opposing team to three point four yards per
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_01]: But you tell me your stop in teams to 3.4 yards per rush, I'm in, I'll take that all day.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, right here, why has been more concerning run defense run off run offense was badass.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_01]: The 40 hours run, yeah, you ran for 140 yards, six yards per carry, signed me up.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like, nah, man, so like, yeah, sometimes the the cart before the horse, the narratives get built and people buy into it and you see one play or two plays or whatever else.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_01]: Runtie fence was not bad with what you had, dude, I'll take 3.4 yards per carry the rest of the year every single game, I'm in, I am in.
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take six point what yards per carry in the run gate.
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's you'll lead the NFL if you average that last year.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_01]: You were under four yards per carry like no, I don't think.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_01]: I know where it's coming because there's been highlights on social media.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, they're bad.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_01]: And you hear people say it, but man collectively,
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was awesome.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Brock and Kyle are winning games right now.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_01]: And Rahim Morris, coaching matters, special teams cost us.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_01]: It reminded me, you know, the first kind of eight years of Kyle Sheddy had his tenure where shitty special teams every single year.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then you bring on Brandt Boyer and things change.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_01]: Today was a bad special team's game.
- 1:11:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't like Debo returning kicks anymore.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_01]: I liked it, but not with all these wide receivers hurt,
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like do put Jordan James back there and put Jacob Cowling back there or Katelyn Black back there.
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care.
- 1:11:58[SPEAKER_01]: Debo doesn't need to return kicks anymore.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_01]: Not because he's not effective, but because it's like do you need, you have no wide receivers.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like you got to keep that dude.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, yeah, Kenneth, injuries aren't the problem.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_01]: Stacking injuries at position groups is killer.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Kenneth.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_01]: then I just keep doing it.
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that there are some optimism with today's injuries.
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_01]: The biggest concern is definitely my getvents.
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody else I'm not overly concerned about.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not overly concerned about Trent, Greenwall, Grayson Halton.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_01]: Not Dimo came back.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_01]: We're

- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is the 11th time in the 49ers history that they've been
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_01]: don't let the negative stuff take away your fandom.
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_01]: This is a good time to be a 49er's fan and the future is bright, even with the injuries.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, you could beat the different Broncos.
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_01]: You could beat the Seattle Seahawks.
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_01]: You do that, start five and oh, against those good teams.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_01]: Holy shit, like the test just keeps moving, right?
- 1:13:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is a good team.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_01]: You're wanna five undefeated teams in the NFL.
- 1:13:38[SPEAKER_01]: Don't apologize for that.

- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_01]: lot of quality wins here.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_01]: You won an ugly game.
- 1:13:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's what playoff football is about.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the way Kyle Shanahan builds his teams.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_01]: Love it.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's a celebration.
- 1:13:56[SPEAKER_01]: Until next time, thank you so much.
