- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York Marximo on the Voice of New York
- 0:04Speaker 1: seven to ten.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Woong. Hey, all right, we'll get to all the fun stuff. Now.
- 0:10Speaker 2: It's gonna be like in the fifties today it's cooled off. Yeah, Hey,
- 0:15Speaker 2: you know what, I'll take this over the ninety degree
- 0:17Speaker 2: days I wasn't used to. That's gonna be fifties and sixties.
- 0:20Speaker 2: It'll get to seventy like on Thursday. So, uh, we're
- 0:25Speaker 2: talking about taxes, you know, and Mam Donnie goes after
- 0:29Speaker 2: these billionaires and they pay their fair share, they pay
- 0:32Speaker 2: their fair ship, you know. Nope, you see what these
- 0:35Speaker 2: billionaires pay. They actually don't pay their fair share. They
- 0:37Speaker 2: pay like five times their fair share. They pay more
- 0:40Speaker 2: than they should be paying. Even if you're a billionaire
- 0:43Speaker 2: in New York, you're paying like fifty six percent of
- 0:46Speaker 2: your money in taxes. There's something unethical, immoral. But it's
- 0:50Speaker 2: totally immoral. How could you take there should be a
- 0:53Speaker 2: national law. How can you take fifty six percent of
- 0:55Speaker 2: somebody's income and call it taxes. It's ridiculous. There should
- 1:02Speaker 2: be some sort of law, an actual national law passed
- 1:05Speaker 2: that nobody could pay more than I don't know, twenty
- 1:08Speaker 2: five percent, maybe thirty percent of their money in taxes.
- 1:12Speaker 2: How did you pay fifty six percent of your money
- 1:14Speaker 2: in taxes? So you know, they go after Bezos all
- 1:17Speaker 2: the time or Elon Musk. Do you know what Jeff
- 1:19Speaker 2: Bezos paid in tax last year? In income tax? Jeff
- 1:23Speaker 2: Bezos last year paid something like ten billion in taxes.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Elon Musk paid fourteen billion in taxes. How much tax
- 1:34Speaker 2: are you supposed to pay? Remember that it was two
- 1:38Speaker 2: years ago, was Elizabeth Warren and that whole bunch in
- 1:40Speaker 2: Bernie Sanders. They kept going after Musk saying he was
- 1:44Speaker 2: not paying his fair share, not paying his fair share. Well,
- 1:47Speaker 2: then he released the numbers. It turned out that he
- 1:50Speaker 2: paid more tax that year than anybody in the history
- 1:54Speaker 2: of the world. He was the single biggest tax bear
- 1:56Speaker 2: on earth and set the all time record. He paid
- 1:58Speaker 2: like fourteen billion that year in taxes. And for all
- 2:02Speaker 2: they're huffing and puffing these socialists. You know, the Bernie
- 2:05Speaker 2: Sanders is a great example. The guy's got three homes,
- 2:09Speaker 2: three serious houses. He's a multi multi millionaire. Now you're saying, well,
- 2:14Speaker 2: how could a guy on a government salary become a
- 2:17Speaker 2: multi millionaire? Well, a little scheming, a little financial shenanigans.
- 2:22Speaker 2: You know when you run for office. When you run
- 2:25Speaker 2: for president, the big money, you know, all the campaign
- 2:29Speaker 2: consultants and all the people that you know run your campaign,
- 2:33Speaker 2: they get paid. The big money is in the media buys.
- 2:38Speaker 2: You know, when you raise hundreds of millions and you
- 2:41Speaker 2: spend it on television commercials, radio commercials, and you got
- 2:45Speaker 2: to go out and buy one hundred and fifty million
- 2:49Speaker 2: in commercials. Well, the buyer, the media buyer, gets a
- 2:54Speaker 2: ten percent fee on those buys because the media buyer
- 2:57Speaker 2: figures out exactly where to place them. It's very tricky,
- 3:02Speaker 2: very tricky. You know who you want to reach. Like,
- 3:04Speaker 2: let's say you came up here to the sixth floor
- 3:07Speaker 2: here at iHeart. We got a lot of radio stations
- 3:09Speaker 2: up here, and on this floor we reach about twenty
- 3:12Speaker 2: three million people every day. Got all the biggest stations
- 3:17Speaker 2: on earth. There's a Z one hundred and Q one
- 3:19Speaker 2: oh four light FM, Power one oh five light FM.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I think most listen to radio station in America by far.
- 3:26Speaker 2: But if you come up here, you're the agency, and
- 3:30Speaker 2: you come up here and you want to buy some commercials,
- 3:31Speaker 2: where do you buy them. I mean, if you talk
- 3:34Speaker 2: to the salesperson, you know they'll try to help you.
- 3:37Speaker 2: And see, we have a whole marketing team. Well you
- 3:40Speaker 2: got to say, especially in a political campaign, I'm weak
- 3:43Speaker 2: in Hispanic voters in New York City. Well we can
- 3:48Speaker 2: figure out exactly which station. Maybe it's k TU, maybe
- 3:51Speaker 2: it's just too which station reaches that. Or I need
- 3:54Speaker 2: to reach an older audience, Well we know which station
- 3:57Speaker 2: have put you on. I need to reach teenagers in
- 3:59Speaker 2: the suburbs, Well we know which station to put you on.
- 4:01Speaker 2: So but that's what media buyers do. You hire an
- 4:03Speaker 2: agency and they figure all this out. So the media
- 4:06Speaker 2: buyer gets a ten percent fee on the commercial buy.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So in the Bernie Sanders presidential campaigns, where hundreds of
- 4:12Speaker 2: millions were spent, they had an agency as their media
- 4:16Speaker 2: buyer that nobody ever heard of. It was a new one,
- 4:20Speaker 2: nobody recognized the name, small agency, and they got the
- 4:23Speaker 2: ten percent commission and on a couple hundred million in
- 4:27Speaker 2: ad buys, that's about a twenty million dollar commission. Twenty
- 4:30Speaker 2: five million dollar commission. Well, it turned out if you
- 4:33Speaker 2: looked out, looked up, who is this little agency owned
- 4:35Speaker 2: by missus Sanders missus Bernie Sanders, so she was the
- 4:41Speaker 2: media buyer, and they pocketed the twenty twenty five million.
- 4:45Speaker 2: They've done that a few times, so he knows. Maybe
- 4:47Speaker 2: he's up to thirty million now. And they got three homes,
- 4:51Speaker 2: and he was on some show that confronted him about,
- 4:55Speaker 2: you know, you're supposed to be mister socialists, I could
- 4:57Speaker 2: we have three homes and he went through this whole explanation.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Guess what, I'm a United States Senator and I own
- 5:03Speaker 3: a home in Washington, d C. As do most centers.
- 5:05Speaker 3: You know, you live there a year after when I first.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Wait a minute, wait a minute, let's stop right there.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Most of these guys, the new congressman, a lot of
- 5:13Speaker 2: these senators, they don't own a home in Washington. They
- 5:15Speaker 2: own a home in their district. So what do they
- 5:17Speaker 2: do when they got to go to Washington. Well, some
- 5:19Speaker 2: of them sleep in their office if they can't afford
- 5:21Speaker 2: a second home. And what most of them do is
- 5:24Speaker 2: they have roommates. You know, there's these apartments where like
- 5:27Speaker 2: five senators live. Schumer lived in one of those three years. Yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 2: so they have roommates. They do stuff like that. They
- 5:33Speaker 2: don't own big homes in each place.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Actually, when I was in Congress was sixteen years. I
- 5:37Speaker 3: rented all the time, but I got elected. Okay, you
- 5:40Speaker 3: got a six year term. You know what, let's buy
- 5:41Speaker 3: a house. So we waugh a house and guess what,
- 5:44Speaker 3: Like many thousands of people in the state of Vermont,
- 5:47Speaker 3: I have a summer camp. It's a nice one on
- 5:49Speaker 3: Lake Champlain.
- 5:51Speaker 2: He's got another very expensive home on Lake Champagne, like
- 5:54Speaker 2: most people in Vermont. That not everybody in Vermont has
- 5:57Speaker 2: a nice, big home, second, third home on Lake Three
- 6:00Speaker 2: major houses this guy owns. Trying to pretend he's a socialist.
- 6:04Speaker 2: It's absolutely ridiculous. It's all just talk. It's just dreamy eyed.
- 6:09Speaker 2: They're like crazy college kids, is what Mam Donnie is.
- 6:13Speaker 2: You know, Mam Donnie is you know, twelve years old,
- 6:16Speaker 2: you know, went to Columbia wherever the hell you know,
- 6:18Speaker 2: carverd Colombia. These are anti Semitic socialist training camps. They
- 6:23Speaker 2: just come out all starry. They've had no actual, practical,
- 6:26Speaker 2: real experience. They think it works. It doesn't work.
- 6:29Speaker 1: A democratic socialist politics is one that should be judged
- 6:32Speaker 1: on its delivery, like any ideology, and what we're showing
- 6:35Speaker 1: in this city is we can we can pursue the
- 6:38Speaker 1: big things like universal childcare and do the pothole politics
- 6:41Speaker 1: at the same time that we're showing and not just
- 6:43Speaker 1: filling in the potholes, changing the catch basins, but also
- 6:46Speaker 1: repaving over a thousand miles of roadway.
- 6:49Speaker 2: That's what it's all about, not actually doing anything. You
- 6:52Speaker 2: just got to talk, you see. Any other thing is
- 6:54Speaker 2: these young people, these young socialists. It's about the temple.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Got to be at the right tempo. So if I
- 7:02Speaker 2: talked like this, it doesn't sound so great. But if
- 7:05Speaker 2: you talk like mom Donnie, and you talk very fast,
- 7:07Speaker 2: and you sound like you can talk a mile a minute,
- 7:08Speaker 2: it makes you sound much smarter, because how could he
- 7:10Speaker 2: talk that fast if he's not that smart, you know.
- 7:11Speaker 2: So if you just talk really fast, it makes you
- 7:13Speaker 2: sound like So if you ever listened to these podcasts
- 7:16Speaker 2: of these twenty three year old left wing you listen
- 7:19Speaker 2: to the podcast and they all talk like this, and
- 7:20Speaker 2: you're listening to the podcast and they're talking like this,
- 7:22Speaker 2: and you think, well, I must they hit the wrong
- 7:23Speaker 2: button because it sounds sped up, and it's not. It's
- 7:25Speaker 2: just that's how they talk. Did you see the guy
- 7:28Speaker 2: in real life, Hey, how are you? I'm very good?
- 7:30Speaker 2: How are you? They did? They just talk like that.
- 7:32Speaker 2: So now the real reality of all this is that
- 7:36Speaker 2: you look at mom Donnie free busses. Well, turns out
- 7:39Speaker 2: he's now confessed. He's now admitted he can't do the
- 7:42Speaker 2: free buses. He has absolutely no authority over the buses.
- 7:45Speaker 2: It's up to how cold the empty. So yes, can't
- 7:48Speaker 2: do the free buses. That universal daycare for all the kids,
- 7:52Speaker 2: he's now saying, well, it could be for ages two
- 7:55Speaker 2: to four. He can't do it for all the kids
- 7:58Speaker 2: like he promised. The free grocery stores. You'll never ever
- 8:01Speaker 2: ever see a free grocery store. In fact, he'll never
- 8:04Speaker 2: get one built. But let's say he did get one
- 8:06Speaker 2: built like he claims in three years. He's now confessed
- 8:11Speaker 2: it won't even be free, and it won't be discount.
- 8:14Speaker 2: He's now saying it'll just be it'll be regular prices.
- 8:18Speaker 2: But there'll be a core, a little core of items
- 8:21Speaker 2: that'll be at a discount, just a little core of
- 8:24Speaker 2: important staple items. So he's now admitted that all the
- 8:27Speaker 2: major promises can't possibly happen. If you watch all weekend,
- 8:34Speaker 2: these Sunday shows or all the crazy left wing John Oliver,
- 8:37Speaker 2: all these crazy type shows. The talk was of Trump
- 8:40Speaker 2: has ruined himself attacking the Pope. His war with the
- 8:46Speaker 2: Pope has cost him everything, the political capital he blew
- 8:52Speaker 2: on that he's ruined with Catholics. This has really hurt him,
- 8:58Speaker 2: the war with the Pope. Now, I don't know if
- 9:01Speaker 2: they know this, but I could go back to twenty
- 9:03Speaker 2: sixteen and find the same shows claiming the same thing
- 9:07Speaker 2: when he went after Pope Francis ten years ago. Exactly
- 9:10Speaker 2: ten years ago, he had the same fight with Pope Francis,
- 9:12Speaker 2: and that one was actually even worse. And not only
- 9:15Speaker 2: did it not hurt him, he won the election right
- 9:17Speaker 2: after that, so it didn't affect anything. And the idea
- 9:20Speaker 2: of liberals defending the Pope, liberals taking the Pope's side.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Listen to Bill Maher.
- 9:27Speaker 4: I love hypocritical America. I really do see liberals suddenly
- 9:30Speaker 4: love the Pope. O'ty who does exorcism, doesn't believe in
- 9:33Speaker 4: gay marriage, no women priests. But now because he's feuding
- 9:36Speaker 4: with Trump, MSNBC loves this guy. He's got a big
- 9:40Speaker 4: speech on the floor from Chuck Schumer.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, a hypocrisy, unbelievable. Hey, Tom Holman was making a
- 9:49Speaker 2: speech and he got heckled. You know, you get these
- 9:52Speaker 2: young college crazy hecklers, but Holman doesn't put up with heckler's. Listen,
- 9:58Speaker 2: when we react to the heckling, they got morens like
- 10:01Speaker 2: this all the country. This guy, this guy wasn't notice,
- 10:06Speaker 2: were like the Service nation. This guy ain't got the
- 10:09Speaker 2: balls to be a nice officer. Do you ever got
- 10:12Speaker 2: a ball to be a ball Georgia?
- 10:14Speaker 5: This guy who lives in his mother's basement?
- 10:18Speaker 2: Nor is it that surprise me? You don't have purple
- 10:20Speaker 2: hair and a nose drink? Get out of here, your loser.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Good for a home? And so hey, you know about
- 10:29Speaker 2: the cash patel uh. We were talking about this before.
- 10:34Speaker 2: There were publications that used to be very highly regarded
- 10:37Speaker 2: and respected. You know, The New York Times was very prestigious,
- 10:41Speaker 2: The New York Times, they called what they called the
- 10:43Speaker 2: gray old Gray Lady, the paper of record, the New
- 10:46Speaker 2: York Times. The New Yorker was a very prestigious magazine.
- 10:51Speaker 2: The Atlantic was a very elite literary magazine. The Atlantic
- 10:57Speaker 2: and very very respected. Well, all that changed the New
- 11:01Speaker 2: York Times is the most left wing propaganda they'd been
- 11:05Speaker 2: caught with more fake news, more lies. Same thing with
- 11:07Speaker 2: the Washington Post. The New Yorker is the most biased,
- 11:12Speaker 2: slanted crap in the world. You know, they used to
- 11:15Speaker 2: call it mainstream media. There's no such thing as mainstream media.
- 11:18Speaker 2: New York Times, you can't you can't call it mainstream.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It's such a left wing propaganda, fake newsplace. And The
- 11:24Speaker 2: Atlantic was such a prestigious sort of magazine. Well now
- 11:29Speaker 2: it's just chunk, left wing junk. Years ago. It was
- 11:33Speaker 2: bought by the widow of Steve Jobs, Loreene Jobs, when
- 11:39Speaker 2: Steve Jobs died left her billions of dollars and she
- 11:41Speaker 2: started a foundation, and one of the things she wanted
- 11:44Speaker 2: she bought The Atlantic magazine. And I guess she's a
- 11:47Speaker 2: real left wing cook because she loaded it up with
- 11:50Speaker 2: these real left wing cooks. And The Atlantic a lot
- 11:55Speaker 2: of fake news. Yeah, I once in a while to
- 11:56Speaker 2: get something right, you know, they accidentally tripped into that
- 11:59Speaker 2: Signal Gate story, but most of the time it's just
- 12:02Speaker 2: absolute left wing crap, most of it not true. So
- 12:05Speaker 2: they went after Cash Patel, and they're claiming Cash Patel,
- 12:10Speaker 2: the FBI director, is a drunk. He's always out partying.
- 12:13Speaker 2: He gets so drunk he can't work. He got so
- 12:17Speaker 2: drunk he couldn't find his office. He got so drunk
- 12:19Speaker 2: he did something with his computer and blocked himself out
- 12:22Speaker 2: of his own computer, can't get into the system. And
- 12:27Speaker 2: all this stuff. Now, usually when these left wing publications lie,
- 12:30Speaker 2: when they make up this crap, what they do New
- 12:33Speaker 2: York Times, they all do this. If they're making up
- 12:35Speaker 2: some you've seen Cash Patel. Does he look I mean,
- 12:38Speaker 2: look at Eric Swallow. Okay, that looks like a guy
- 12:40Speaker 2: who could get himself into some trouble with booze and
- 12:43Speaker 2: women and drugs. And he looks the type. Cash Patel
- 12:48Speaker 2: doesn't look like a big party here. I mean, I
- 12:50Speaker 2: know the guy not that well, but I've known him
- 12:52Speaker 2: for years. He's a pretty normal guy. He's not a wild,
- 12:57Speaker 2: crazy partying guy. But they printed all this crap. And
- 13:01Speaker 2: when you got to make up some far fetched crap,
- 13:03Speaker 2: what they always do New York Times Atlantic. Instead of
- 13:06Speaker 2: saying we have a confidential source, they'll say twenty seven
- 13:10Speaker 2: confidential sources. Whenever you see a big number, you know
- 13:12Speaker 2: they're lying. You know they're lying. You know it'd be
- 13:15Speaker 2: like three sources. It's usually two sources is all. You
- 13:18Speaker 2: want one source and somebody up back it up. Where
- 13:21Speaker 2: you have twenty seven confidentials, well whatever you are, these
- 13:24Speaker 2: huge numbers. You used to hear that with Brennan and
- 13:27Speaker 2: Clapper and you know all that crap they made up
- 13:30Speaker 2: about Russia. We have thirty seven confidentials. So it's Atlantic Magazine.
- 13:36Speaker 2: It's probably all false, all made up. So cash Ptel
- 13:39Speaker 2: is now talking about suing them, and this is going
- 13:44Speaker 2: to be tough. It's tough when you're a public figure,
- 13:46Speaker 2: but this is pretty serious to accusations about being so
- 13:50Speaker 2: drunk he couldn't function, being so drunk, he screwed up
- 13:53Speaker 2: his whole computer system, this kind of stuff. So he's
- 13:56Speaker 2: gonna probably sue Atlantic Magazine. This could get very interesting
- 14:01Speaker 2: because they have a feeling just knowing them that they
- 14:03Speaker 2: made the whole damn thing up with their fake anonymous sources,
- 14:07Speaker 2: and the way you make it up. You kind of
- 14:09Speaker 2: make it up and then you get anybody to say, oh, yeah, yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 2: that's true, and it's probably not a good source, but
- 14:15Speaker 2: you claim it's a good source. You just you can
- 14:19Speaker 2: always find a bunch of crazy Democrats or Washington insiders
- 14:22Speaker 2: who hate the guy, who will confirm it for you
- 14:24Speaker 2: even though they don't know what they're talking about. So
- 14:26Speaker 2: this could be a hell of a lawsuit. Hey, the
- 14:28Speaker 2: White House Correspondence Dinner is Saturday night. For all of
- 14:36Speaker 2: his time in office, last time, in this time, President
- 14:38Speaker 2: Trump has never gone to the White House Correspondence Dinner.
- 14:41Speaker 2: It's just the worst of the fake news and they
- 14:43Speaker 2: always attack him like crazy. Why should he go? So
- 14:46Speaker 2: this year he's going. First time ever. This year he's going.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Now they've agreed not to have one of these crazy
- 14:52Speaker 2: left wing, angry comedians as the host as the featured entertainment. Instead,
- 14:57Speaker 2: they'll have Oz the Mentalist. He's pretty good and Trump
- 15:05Speaker 2: is a very experienced roaster. I mean, the guy did
- 15:08Speaker 2: a million Friar's roast, a million Comedy Central roast, stole
- 15:11Speaker 2: the show at the Al Smith dinner last year. He
- 15:14Speaker 2: was amazing roasting everybody. So he's pretty good. But some
- 15:19Speaker 2: are saying, well, who knows, maybe the White House Correspondence,
- 15:22Speaker 2: maybe a lot of the top fake news anchors. Maybe
- 15:24Speaker 2: these people won't show up. Why should they put themselves
- 15:27Speaker 2: in the line of fire at Donald Trump? And now
- 15:31Speaker 2: two one hundred and fifty major news journalists have signed
- 15:35Speaker 2: a letter, including Dan Rather ninety four, Dan rathers ninety four,
- 15:42Speaker 2: even Sam Donaldson or old Buddy Sam Donaldson ninety two
- 15:45Speaker 2: signed the letter. Two hundred and fifty major journalists signed
- 15:49Speaker 2: the letter demanding that at this dinner, that the White
- 15:52Speaker 2: House Correspondence Dinner, that the press hold the president accountable.
- 15:58Speaker 2: In other words, they want him, They want the press
- 16:00Speaker 2: to go after him and hold him accountable. I don't know.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Maybe they're ninety four and their TV doesn't work anymore,
- 16:08Speaker 2: but I think I think the press is I think
- 16:11Speaker 2: they've been trying to attack him a little. Have you
- 16:14Speaker 2: noticed the last ten years the press ever attacking Donald Trump.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I think they're already on that. I don't think you
- 16:19Speaker 2: have to tell him that. Oh, I forgot the big story.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Guess who's running for city council. Lindsey Boylan. That was
- 16:26Speaker 2: one of the big Andrew Cuomo accused her. She was,
- 16:29Speaker 2: in fact, the first woman to accuse Cuomo of sexual harassment.
- 16:33Speaker 2: She's running for city council now. She's run before for
- 16:37Speaker 2: Congress for Manhattanboro president, didn't do well. She lost, but
- 16:41Speaker 2: this time she got mom Donnie's adortsment. You know, you
- 16:45Speaker 2: got to figure Mom Donnie hates Cuomo, so he's endorsing her.
- 16:49Speaker 2: So this remember Cuomo did so much damage to New
- 16:53Speaker 2: York with his no bail, no jail, with his closing
- 16:55Speaker 2: Indian Point, with his closing prisons, letting all the prisoners out.
- 17:00Speaker 2: He's the guy that came up with this Pieta tear attacks.
- 17:02Speaker 2: He was just did so much damage as governor, and
- 17:04Speaker 2: then all of his sexual harassment accusers. So she's running
- 17:08Speaker 2: for city councils that may bring this whole thing up again.
- 17:11Speaker 2: But with Mom Donnie's endorsements, got a good shadow winning.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Pretty interesting. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred
- 17:18Speaker 2: three to two one zero seven ten. Is the number?
- 17:21Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten, Mark
- 17:25Speaker 2: simone on sevent ten wor one. Well, let's take some calls.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Let's go to Alice in Spring leg Alice, how.
- 17:34Speaker 6: You doing good? How are you?
- 17:37Speaker 2: Let me check? Not bad? Not bad?
- 17:40Speaker 7: But listen, I just want to tell you when I was, oh,
- 17:44Speaker 7: in my teens, back in the late forties or early fifties. Yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 7: I'm ninety two right now.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Ninety two perfect? Right, our target demo there you go perfect,
- 17:56Speaker 2: But anyway, this explain all the phlem go ahead, now
- 18:03Speaker 2: you sound like a nice woman.
- 18:04Speaker 7: A lot. The pastor of our church of Catholic Church,
- 18:10Speaker 7: how us come to a meeting where this former FBI,
- 18:14Speaker 7: well he was an FBI agent, but he is in
- 18:17Speaker 7: a former mole in the Communist party, and he told
- 18:22Speaker 7: us that this is going to happen, that the Communists,
- 18:26Speaker 7: they're taking their time, but eventually they're going to get
- 18:30Speaker 7: into the newspapers, the schools, the churches. Crazy.
- 18:36Speaker 2: What kind of crazy church are you're go into? This
- 18:39Speaker 2: was the same speech they made in the nineteen fifties.
- 18:41Speaker 2: This is what McCarthy used to say.
- 18:44Speaker 7: Well, this FBI agent was a former mole in the
- 18:49Speaker 7: communist body, and he said this is what's going to
- 18:52Speaker 7: happen eventually too our country, Alice.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I don't worry. You've been around a while. They were
- 18:57Speaker 2: saying this all through the nineteen fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties nine.
- 19:00Speaker 2: So far we're okay, Now we're fine. Hey, what's these communists?
- 19:06Speaker 2: What's these communists try to get the spring like and
- 19:08Speaker 2: once they see this traffic, they'll turn around and give up.
- 19:11Speaker 2: They'll go somewhere else. Well, Alice, you're a nice woman.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Call us again, call us again sometime. Let's go to
- 19:17Speaker 2: Mike and Florida. Mike, how you doing, Good morning, Mark,
- 19:20Speaker 2: that's Mike.
- 19:21Speaker 3: You know.
- 19:22Speaker 8: Another part of the equation they leap out when they're
- 19:24Speaker 8: talking about the billionaires not paying their fair share, is
- 19:26Speaker 8: they just talk about their personal income tax. This corporate
- 19:29Speaker 8: income tax. There's the corporate compax of all the other
- 19:33Speaker 8: corporations that they employ there, Bill, I mean, it's trillions. Good,
- 19:37Speaker 8: it amounts to and one what point? The other thing
- 19:40Speaker 8: that Mandani has a lot of nerve is he makes
- 19:43Speaker 8: two hundred and sixty thousand a year. He doesn't pay rent,
- 19:45Speaker 8: you know who. He's making more money than everybody just.
- 19:48Speaker 2: About is how much of them?
- 19:50Speaker 6: Is that?
- 19:50Speaker 2: How much the mayor makes two hundred and sixty.
- 19:53Speaker 8: Yeah, and he doesn't pay rent. He doesn't have to
- 19:55Speaker 8: pay for transportation. I'm sure you know groceries are probably
- 20:00Speaker 8: you know that's true.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Yeah, they feed it for free. Yeah that's true. Yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 2: good point. All right, thanks for Carlon. Let's go to
- 20:08Speaker 2: Tony in White Plains. Tony, how you doing?
- 20:11Speaker 9: Yeah, good Mark? Mark, Maybe you can answer this. I
- 20:13Speaker 9: don't understand something Trump says, I if the Uranians don't agree,
- 20:18Speaker 9: you know, to the treaty and all of that, that
- 20:20Speaker 9: he's gonna blow up the bridges and all that. Didn't
- 20:22Speaker 9: they do that before? What's gonna happen? They put their
- 20:24Speaker 9: people around here.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Well, we took out one bridge. It was the newest,
- 20:29Speaker 2: most expensive bridge they had. And the reason we took
- 20:31Speaker 2: that out it was only being used for military purpose
- 20:34Speaker 2: is it was being used to transport troops and weapons.
- 20:37Speaker 2: But if we have to, we'll start taking out bridges.
- 20:40Speaker 2: And by the way, you're gonna hear war crimes. They're
- 20:42Speaker 2: gonna yell war crimes. Every war we've ever fought, we
- 20:46Speaker 2: took out bridges and power plants, usually day one, both
- 20:49Speaker 2: Iraq wars. That's what we did the first day, took
- 20:51Speaker 2: out bridges and power plants. You know that crazy Senator
- 20:54Speaker 2: Mark Kelly who's on TV yelling about war crimes. He
- 20:59Speaker 2: also brags that he was a combat pilot in the
- 21:02Speaker 2: war in Iraq. Well, that's what he did as a
- 21:04Speaker 2: combat pilot, took out bridges and power plants. But it's
- 21:07Speaker 2: perfectly perfectly normal. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 21:12Speaker 2: how you.
- 21:12Speaker 5: Doing Good morning Mark, Good morning Mara. Mike from Florida.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Forgot to mention that these billionaires who own these companies,
- 21:20Speaker 5: they employ hundreds of thousands of workers who also contribute
- 21:25Speaker 5: to the tax base. If these billionaires didn't start these businesses,
- 21:30Speaker 5: you wouldn't have these workers, their lives wouldn't be improven,
- 21:33Speaker 5: and they wouldn't add to the tax base. Beaver Face
- 21:36Speaker 5: Mandami and Katy Holcom are so disingenuous. They make it
- 21:43Speaker 5: sound like these people who have these second homes are
- 21:48Speaker 5: feeding at the public truth like they are. The New
- 21:51Speaker 5: York Post did an expose a they didn't give the
- 21:54Speaker 5: address of. It's probably a co op, a second home
- 21:59Speaker 5: in the village that was worth just five million dollars.
- 22:03Speaker 5: That's a successed value. They went into the Department of
- 22:07Speaker 5: Finance records that person who owns that co op, it's
- 22:12Speaker 5: not even a whole building, pays eighty four thousand dollars
- 22:17Speaker 5: a year in taxes. And when most people don't know
- 22:22Speaker 5: and I know this because I'm involved in real estate,
- 22:25Speaker 5: if it's your second home, you don't get any considerations,
- 22:30Speaker 5: like if it's your privacy, your primary home, you don't
- 22:34Speaker 5: pay as much in school taxes, et cetera, et cetera.
- 22:40Speaker 5: Hopeful talks about them using up resources. The second home
- 22:45Speaker 5: uses less resources because they're not there. They're not paying water.
- 22:49Speaker 5: They don't have to pay water because they're not using it.
- 22:52Speaker 5: They have to pay point.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Excellent call, Very good, Thanks for colling. Yeah, Ken Griffin
- 22:58Speaker 2: doesn't even live in that house there, that apartment two
- 23:01Speaker 2: hundred and twenty million dollars. He's here three days a year.
- 23:04Speaker 2: And you know what his property taxes on the department
- 23:07Speaker 2: right now, nine hundred and seventy thousand. It's almost a
- 23:10Speaker 2: million dollars a year just in the property text on
- 23:12Speaker 2: that one apartment. Hey, when we come back, Charlie Gasparino
- 23:15Speaker 2: will be with us, the great business reporter, the author
- 23:18Speaker 2: of the great book Go Woke, Go Broke. When is
- 23:21Speaker 2: all this woke, crazy comy stuff gonna end? We'll ask
- 23:24Speaker 2: him next on seven to ten WR.
- 23:28Speaker 6: Give WR obre said on the iHeartRadio app to hear
- 23:32Speaker 6: Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in an instance.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simo show on wor Well.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Charlie Gasparino is the best business reporter around. You can
- 23:46Speaker 2: read also his great column His columns are all on
- 23:49Speaker 2: the New York Post website. You should follow him on Twitter.
- 23:51Speaker 2: He's one of the best reacts. He's one of the
- 23:54Speaker 2: best exeris tweeters out there. And I urge you to
- 23:57Speaker 2: get his latest book, Go Woke, Go Broke. It's a
- 24:01Speaker 2: very important book. Go Woke, Go Broke. Go to Amazon
- 24:04Speaker 2: order it right now. Charlie Gasparino, how are you doing?
- 24:08Speaker 6: Are you doing? Mark?
- 24:10Speaker 2: Very good? So your friend mom Donnie there, did you
- 24:13Speaker 2: hear that crazy thing he said?
- 24:15Speaker 1: I don't think that we should have billionaires?
- 24:17Speaker 2: We shouldn't have billionaires? What you know, all these billionaires,
- 24:21Speaker 2: how are they going to get through four years of
- 24:23Speaker 2: this guy?
- 24:26Speaker 6: You know, I don't know. I mean half of me
- 24:29Speaker 6: thinks that they're just going to leave, and as they've
- 24:34Speaker 6: been as not just billionaires, but remember, you know, the
- 24:38Speaker 6: tax base is comprised of a lot of people that
- 24:41Speaker 6: do well, not quite billionaires, and they're just finding it
- 24:45Speaker 6: much more affordable not to be New York City residents.
- 24:48Speaker 6: And that's been going on since twenty twenty and it
- 24:52Speaker 6: continues to to stay. Remember or you know, when you
- 24:57Speaker 6: talk about billionaires, they do have fe medically the money
- 25:00Speaker 6: to pay some of these taxes. I mean, they're billionaires, right.
- 25:04Speaker 6: The real problem here is that's why I'm you know this,
- 25:07Speaker 6: this debate is a little bit skewed because the reality
- 25:11Speaker 6: of the New York City, what Mandami's doing, what they
- 25:14Speaker 6: do in Albany, and what they've been doing for years,
- 25:16Speaker 6: you know, since mainly since George the Tacking left. Albany
- 25:24Speaker 6: has been essentially focusing on the sort of the vast
- 25:30Speaker 6: middle of the wealthy population, people who make anywhere between
- 25:35Speaker 6: one hundred thousand dollars a year, which isn't really wealthy
- 25:38Speaker 6: in the Northeast anywhere from that to you know, several
- 25:42Speaker 6: million dollars a year, that's the sort of prime real
- 25:45Speaker 6: estate for taxing, and those people just get crushed in
- 25:50Speaker 6: this city and in the state. And what Mandami's doing
- 25:53Speaker 6: is kind of changing the subject. Oh, you know, these
- 25:56Speaker 6: billionaires don't want to pay for you know, an extra
- 25:59Speaker 6: house and Manhattan it's it's not really that I mean,
- 26:03Speaker 6: you know, that's not that's not great policy. Put that aside.
- 26:06Speaker 6: The tax I mean, it's really those people that pay
- 26:09Speaker 6: most of taxes are in that range that I told you,
- 26:13Speaker 6: and they're getting slaughtered in the city and state and
- 26:15Speaker 6: they continue to get slaughtered because people like Mandami and
- 26:19Speaker 6: you know the governor's you know, I mean, listen, Andrew
- 26:23Speaker 6: Croma was would have been a better alternative to doctor.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Oh well, no bail, no jail. He's the guy that
- 26:33Speaker 2: he's the guy that created this pie terror tax. It
- 26:35Speaker 2: was his idea. Listen.
- 26:37Speaker 6: I know that, I know, but he was still would
- 26:39Speaker 6: have been better than my daughter. But but I'm just
- 26:43Speaker 6: saying that. You know, my point is with him is
- 26:46Speaker 6: that he caved to the radical left of the of
- 26:50Speaker 6: the of of of the ruling class of the state.
- 26:53Speaker 6: Remember all the taxes that he imposed, particularly the last term.
- 26:57Speaker 6: He was horrendous. We there was money that you need,
- 27:00Speaker 6: he didn't need to increase taxes, and it could could
- 27:02Speaker 6: have taken down the size of government. So you know
- 27:05Speaker 6: that the party. The problem is, you got one party
- 27:07Speaker 6: controlled the state and it's it's destroying it. I think
- 27:11Speaker 6: we should go. I mean, I argue this during the campaign.
- 27:15Speaker 6: You know, let him win and let him destroy the
- 27:18Speaker 6: place and just move. Let the start from zero.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Well, but we don't want to leave. You're not gonna move,
- 27:24Speaker 2: are you? You can't leave.
- 27:26Speaker 6: I'm one foot out the door.
- 27:28Speaker 2: What you can't believe You're.
- 27:31Speaker 6: Like, I am going to leave. It's why should I
- 27:34Speaker 6: pay into this?
- 27:34Speaker 7: This is insane?
- 27:36Speaker 6: You know what I mean? I get, I get. I
- 27:38Speaker 6: guess there is a business in complaining about Mondomi. I
- 27:41Speaker 6: was just reading that. I was I was reading Kyle
- 27:45Speaker 6: h Kyle Smith. He's a really good writer. He writes
- 27:48Speaker 6: for the National Review. He writes for the Journal about
- 27:51Speaker 6: just how much column inches Mondami inspires from critics and
- 27:58Speaker 6: people and the lefties who like in the journalism. So
- 28:02Speaker 6: there is a sort of business for you and I
- 28:04Speaker 6: to tap into. I think if we stay the loyal opposition.
- 28:08Speaker 6: But in reality, is it worth the money that you're
- 28:11Speaker 6: paying into this and to listen to this idiot every day?
- 28:14Speaker 6: I mean, I mean, schmuck doesn't even begin to describe Donny.
- 28:21Speaker 2: All Right, Hey, once again, everybody get Charlie Gasprino's book,
- 28:26Speaker 2: Go Woke, Go Broke. It's a great book. Hey. Also,
- 28:30Speaker 2: you wrote the best book ever on Steve Cohen years ago.
- 28:33Speaker 2: He now owns the Mets. You know about this controversy
- 28:36Speaker 2: about mister met hugging and kissing mom Donnie, And since
- 28:40Speaker 2: that day they've lost eleven in a row. You think
- 28:43Speaker 2: maybe you better send that book, go woke, go broke
- 28:45Speaker 2: over to mister Met.
- 28:48Speaker 6: Well, you know what I don't. I mean, I can't
- 28:50Speaker 6: imagine Steve Cohen got directly involved in telling mister Met to,
- 28:53Speaker 6: you know, kiss it out with hug it out with Bond.
- 28:57Speaker 3: You know.
- 28:58Speaker 6: My guess is like it was just an actor who
- 29:01Speaker 6: didn't know what to do. And I don't think it
- 29:04Speaker 6: has anything to do with the Mets losing.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Well, theold I met mister Mett, you probably did too.
- 29:12Speaker 2: He shakes your hand, he doesn't hug you and kiss you.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I mean that was a little yeah, yeah, I know.
- 29:17Speaker 6: I mean, who knows who is underneath the clothing? Do
- 29:20Speaker 6: you know who this person is?
- 29:22Speaker 2: Probably Steve Cohen? Who knows who was?
- 29:24Speaker 8: No?
- 29:25Speaker 6: No, yeah, listen, I you know, listen. I mean I
- 29:33Speaker 6: read it. I saw I've been reading the commentary on
- 29:37Speaker 6: the Mets losing streak after that. You know, could it
- 29:40Speaker 6: be possible it was just one over zealous actor who
- 29:43Speaker 6: plays mister Met.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's possible. But a lot of people, our buddy
- 29:49Speaker 2: Sid pointing out, a lot of people pointing out.
- 29:52Speaker 6: I thought, Sid said, Rosemary Glass, I saw the stuff.
- 29:56Speaker 6: He was wearing a Yankees uniform and I love the
- 29:59Speaker 6: Yankees too. I mean, you know, you know, you know,
- 30:02Speaker 6: what's the guy I will say about the Yankees, Randy Levine,
- 30:05Speaker 6: who's like kind of on the business side of that. Yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 6: he runs a very very tight ship and sense like,
- 30:10Speaker 6: you go to the game, it's a game. We don't
- 30:14Speaker 6: you cheer the Yankees. There's not a lot of there's
- 30:17Speaker 6: no politics, you know, you just go there. I mean,
- 30:20Speaker 6: you know, it's it's a second experience. And I think
- 30:24Speaker 6: sports should get back to that. Yeah, you know, you know,
- 30:27Speaker 6: no more bad buddies in halftime and maybe you know,
- 30:31Speaker 6: alert mister met you know, shake the guy's hand, don't
- 30:36Speaker 6: up against them.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Hey about it. Charlie gas Greno, you wrote the book
- 30:41Speaker 2: on Steve Cohen. I think it's called Circle of Friends.
- 30:44Speaker 2: And he's a brilliant business guy with the hedge funnel.
- 30:47Speaker 2: But is he in over his head as a sports owner?
- 30:50Speaker 2: I mean, what's going on with him in the Mets?
- 30:52Speaker 6: I don't know. I mean, you know, it's listen, it's
- 30:57Speaker 6: it's not easy getting a you know, running a baseball.
- 31:00Speaker 6: It's you know, it's two sides of the coin. It's
- 31:02Speaker 6: the business side and it's putting a team on the
- 31:04Speaker 6: field that can win. And uh, you know, I don't
- 31:11Speaker 6: how much has he involved in the in the selecting players.
- 31:15Speaker 6: Doesn't he have people around him.
- 31:16Speaker 2: That to do that. I mean you would think, yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 2: but you know him, you know him better than anybody.
- 31:22Speaker 2: But what those guys always like to poke their nose
- 31:24Speaker 2: into everything.
- 31:26Speaker 6: But I mean, look, he's a really smart guy. I
- 31:28Speaker 6: can't imagine. Although you know, the people he replaced weren't
- 31:31Speaker 6: that great, right, remember the will.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Yeah they were nice people. But you're right, all right.
- 31:38Speaker 6: I mean I think I think we actually traded up
- 31:40Speaker 6: with Stevie Cohen.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Don't you think I think you won that round? Yeah? So,
- 31:47Speaker 2: and there were great people, the Willpons. But were they
- 31:51Speaker 2: Fred Willpond nicest guy in the world. Yeah, very sweet.
- 31:53Speaker 6: Really, I'd never met him, but I know I might
- 31:57Speaker 6: have met him once. He was on the board of
- 31:58Speaker 6: Bear Stearns. I think I did beat once.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so I talked.
- 32:02Speaker 6: I interviewed his son once.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Too, Yeah, Jeff will great guy.
- 32:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:07Speaker 6: So they didn't do much for the team though.
- 32:12Speaker 2: No, But uh, I can't argue that. Uh hey, this
- 32:17Speaker 2: go woke, go broke stuff. When does it? Does it
- 32:19Speaker 2: turn around? At some point like, are we going to
- 32:21Speaker 2: wake up in November and elect Bruce Blakeman and get
- 32:24Speaker 2: a real governor? I think can that happen?
- 32:27Speaker 6: You know, Mark, This is my point. So many people
- 32:31Speaker 6: have left this city that I don't think. I think
- 32:34Speaker 6: you and I are and maybe Bruce, oh, I know,
- 32:38Speaker 6: and I really like we might be so much in
- 32:42Speaker 6: the minority. We there's it's impossible to win in this state.
- 32:46Speaker 6: That we'll see. I mean, you know, the the ruling
- 32:50Speaker 6: class here is so inept and so stupid, and they're
- 32:53Speaker 6: they're literally chasing everybody that wants to work out. I
- 32:58Speaker 6: can't leave, you know, some people can't leave. It's it's
- 33:01Speaker 6: you're right, it's a little difficult for me to leave
- 33:02Speaker 6: since I worked for Fox, I worked for the Post.
- 33:05Speaker 6: You know, it's hard for me to set up shop
- 33:07Speaker 6: in Florida. Maybe I get to become part of the
- 33:11Speaker 6: Miami Bureau of the Post or something like that. That
- 33:13Speaker 6: would be great. But you know, so so many people
- 33:17Speaker 6: have left the city and the state. It's I don't
- 33:21Speaker 6: know if if there's enough people to vote for him
- 33:26Speaker 6: that are left so many people, you know, you know,
- 33:28Speaker 6: if you look at who you know who votes Democratic
- 33:32Speaker 6: it's all these you know, these public sector unions which
- 33:35Speaker 6: are it's a huge employer in this in the city
- 33:37Speaker 6: and state, so they you know, automatically, when you're a Democrat,
- 33:41Speaker 6: you start off with like forty five percent of the vote, right,
- 33:44Speaker 6: I mean almost Yeah, they get out the vote. So
- 33:47Speaker 6: I'm just wondering if if it's just an impossibility, and
- 33:51Speaker 6: it's kind of scary to think that.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know, Nasal County had the same exodus
- 33:56Speaker 2: and it's a majority Democratic county. Blakeman has won there twice,
- 34:00Speaker 2: pulled it off twice.
- 34:01Speaker 6: Yeah, No, it's it's true. You know, the Democratic Party
- 34:05Speaker 6: is starting to buifer K two a little bit from
- 34:07Speaker 6: these I mean, people forget this. There are a lot
- 34:10Speaker 6: of like moderate Democrats. There are no longer Democrats because
- 34:14Speaker 6: of the because of the looney tubes that run the show,
- 34:17Speaker 6: the far left. So there there is that, you know
- 34:21Speaker 6: what I'm saying, And and and moderate Republicans picked that
- 34:24Speaker 6: up every day. I mean, listen, you know, I see
- 34:28Speaker 6: it all the time. You know, moderate moderate Democrats saying,
- 34:32Speaker 6: you know, maybe Trump isn't so crazy for going after
- 34:36Speaker 6: the Ayatola, you know, and that the Mullahs, maybe maybe
- 34:40Speaker 6: This is a good thing that he's finally taking these
- 34:44Speaker 6: in and the rear ends out. You know, these guys
- 34:46Speaker 6: that are murderous thugs that you know, could control the
- 34:49Speaker 6: world's oil supply, you know, with with a drum. You know,
- 34:53Speaker 6: maybe he's maybe finally someone bit the bullet. I'm hearing
- 34:57Speaker 6: that a lot from moderate Democrats.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Believe in it. That's a very good point, and that.
- 35:02Speaker 6: Could be where Bruce wins. But I I don't know.
- 35:05Speaker 6: So many people have left, you know, don't want to
- 35:08Speaker 6: get out, and and and then you know, even if
- 35:11Speaker 6: he does win, you know, the legislature is controlled by
