- 0:34was Mahal Schnitzler. It's like a name, everybody.
- 0:36It's good. It's a singer.

- 1:06We've reached 10,000 listeners in 60 episodes.
- 1:09What a feat, what an amazing accomplishment.
- 1:12And today we are featuring some of our highlighted moments based
- 1:15on our comments that were made by listeners like you.
- 1:19So thank you all. And we're going to start off
- 1:21with Mendy Warsh. Mendy, When you think Yum, Yum,
- 1:24you think Mendy. And today we're going to feature
- 1:26the part where we talk about confidence and small wins
- 1:30reaching to big goals in life. Take a listen.
- 1:33Success is not a something that you reach.
- 1:35Its success is a compilation of small acts.
- 1:39It's small wins leads to success.
- 1:42There's no one has ever reached a pinnacle where they go.
- 1:43I made it, I'm done. I mean, maybe some people do,
- 1:47but that's called giving up in the middle of the of the
- 1:49journey. There's always more to do,
- 1:50there's always more to conquer. So there's always something
- 1:54that's out of reach and there's always something that you know
- 1:56you're capable of doing. And I think tapping into what
- 2:00you know you could do and understanding why you're feeling
- 2:05this lack of confidence can help give somebody confidence.
- 2:10Very important. When we hire new sales reps
- 2:12here, the first thing we do, we spend months just on this, is to
- 2:16build their confidence. They don't know a lot yet.
- 2:19They don't have a lot of the substance of the material.
- 2:21Yeah, but the first thing I want to build them up is that a lot
- 2:25of times, even if it's unwarranted, confidence doesn't
- 2:27matter. It's OK.
- 2:28First, be confident, because when you lack confidence,
- 2:32everything else is very, very different.
- 2:33It's an uphill battle. The people that walk into the
- 2:36room and they feel like they're going to get it done, they
- 2:38typically do get it done because they come in with that attitude.
- 2:41It's all the mindset. Yeah, I'm not to interrupt you,
- 2:44but I'll tell you something else.
- 2:44I think giving someone without confidence confidence is easier
- 2:49then finding that guy who was overconfident stinks at what
- 2:52he's doing and and now helping him dial it back.
- 2:55Humbling him. Dialing it back for his own
- 2:58benefit, right? Sometimes he's his own worst
- 3:01enemy, right? He's his reason for failures
- 3:03because he's he's too confident. He's he's not prepared enough.
- 3:06He believes that he could do it without like he's too nonchalant
- 3:08about it. He's too, you know, so
- 3:12confidence can you can give somebody confidence, but just by
- 3:15pumping them up, just by saying you got this, you're giving them
- 3:18a form of confidence. But helping someone dial back
- 3:20and being like, hey, this is serious, you know, you got to
- 3:23prepare for this. Slow it down, man.
- 3:24You got to slow your roll. Sometimes that's much harder to
- 3:27do. So yeah, you can definitely give
- 3:29people confidence and some people will always struggle with
- 3:32that. And, and, and there's a deeper
- 3:35issue, right? There's a deep, it's not the
- 3:36confidence and The thing is a deeper issue of why they're
- 3:39always doubting themselves. Yeah.
- 3:41You know, I, I, I just, I just met you for the first time and
- 3:44it's a real pleasure to meet you.
- 3:45Thank you. I'm enjoying watching the two of
- 3:47you. Have you never met Mandy before?
- 3:49No, never met Mandy. Wow.
- 3:50But I do know you from your music and I I know, I know you
- 3:54from your passion. I know you from your, you know,
- 3:57partnership with the Bloomstein brothers.
- 3:58Yeah. All the things that you're
- 3:59doing, how you slap stickers on people's walls, you know so but
- 4:04I but I have to ask you Speaking of this confidence and and and
- 4:07your journey, right. Last year I went to care Steer
- 4:11was the first time and. Yard site in two days.
- 4:14Yeah, 100 the yard site. Well, gimel ear, I'm not sure
- 4:16when this. You know how I know?
- 4:18It's. I know it's Gimel Ear from your
- 4:20song, that's how I know that's. Actually worth putting out.
- 4:25That's in my head because of that.
- 4:27So I was about to say that, and that's what I'm gonna say.
- 4:28When I pulled in, I was looking for a song on Spotify for
- 4:31Karasteer. I just didn't.
- 4:32I wanted to know if there's something out there.
- 4:34I'm looking, I'm looking. And suddenly I didn't even know
- 4:36how to spell Karasteer. Right.
- 4:37Then boom, your song came up and I put it on as I'm driving into
- 4:41the town. Yeah.
- 4:42Such a beautiful town, by the way, one of the most beautiful
- 4:44experiences of vineyards. Oh my God, It's just gorgeous.
- 4:47But that was, I think in 2016 or 17 when you came out with that
- 4:50song, right? And then 16, I think, right.
- 4:53And that was that was your own little thing that you did.
- 4:55That's right. And then I think a year or two
- 4:57later, you had a collab with someone, right?
- 5:00Shalom Bark or something. But Barshalom Barkowski.
- 5:02Yeah, there you go. Which?
- 5:04Song And then there was like a break for like.
- 5:06Interruption, Barshalom and I wrote Kara Steer together, so we
- 5:09actually wrote four or five songs in the really early days.
- 5:13I didn't record any songs there and I wanted to and he was a
- 5:17good friend also starting out. He's very, very musical.
- 5:20I loved his hair gish and his songs like his compositions had
- 5:23like an MBD esque like old school those those warm
- 5:27familiar, what we call teneus, like those movements and those
- 5:31chords. And we sat a couple nights in
- 5:34the summer, took a keyboard and we wrote a bunch of songs.
- 5:36So I'm. Just curious, how many songs
- 5:38have you composed that have not been released?
- 5:40Hundreds. Wow, yeah.
- 5:43Hundreds, hundreds, we're all capable of so much more than
- 5:47what we're doing because we never give it a shot or never
- 5:50really put our mind to it. And I think that the the magic
- 5:52is being empowered and getting excited.
- 5:54Be like, wow, if I could only do XY and Z, then my life changes
- 5:59in such a tangible way. So then just go and do it.
- 6:01Try. At least try.
- 6:03It like you said earlier, by the way, which is resonating and a
- 6:05lot with me is those little wins.
- 6:06What is what builds the confidence so you can take the
- 6:09guitar. You go on YouTube, you learn
- 6:10CEF, correct? And then you're like, you have a
- 6:13little win, a little win, and then you start building your own
- 6:15confidence. That's it.
- 6:16And now I'm two weeks in and I'm playing these chords that I
- 6:20learned and like I'm not hitting the strings right and the
- 6:24vibrato on the, It's a cheap guitar and my strums are out of
- 6:28rhythm. And, but, but nonetheless,
- 6:31there's like, hey, I just, I just wrote a new song on this
- 6:34guitar. Hey, I just, I'm feeling
- 6:37something when I, when I move from this chord to this chord
- 6:39that's so awesome. And you get lost in it.
- 6:41You know, playing the piano is one thing and you're, it puts
- 6:44you in, in like 1 box. But playing the guitar is now,
- 6:48it's a Spanish feel and it's an acoustic feel and it's just so
- 6:52playing around with different elements brings different things
- 6:56out of you. And, and, and it was a huge eye
- 6:58opening moment for me. So I'm sitting there to see him
- 7:00and I'm playing this guitar. And who walks in?
- 7:06Rabbi Young Grace, the great rabbi Youngest, he should be
- 7:08Gazanthen Stark. He is.
- 7:10Shout out to him. I think he's the Baal Shemtov of
- 7:12this generation to the extent where he loves every single Jew.
- 7:17I've seen it. He's consistent whether it's in
- 7:19Brooklyn at a shoe or upstate in the shoe or you catch him on the
- 7:23street. He loves blessing people.
- 7:25He loves giving physic to people.
- 7:28He's just a yummy Yum, a fishy, swishy Yum, Yum person.
- 7:33He is awesome. I should bench him with
- 7:36tremendous physic strength, kayak and many, many more years
- 7:39to be with Kazakh. So he's he's a special person.
- 7:43I received one of those blessings, by the way, very
- 7:44special. Yes.
- 7:45So so because he means it when he bless it, he means it and
- 7:49it's not just you should be it's like a 30 seconds now it's for
- 7:52you. Hold that it ended up gold and a
- 7:53kite and gold out of this. He has like a whole the same
- 7:55like he has a Nusuk and every person gets the same broker.
- 7:58So he's awesome. So for those that don't know, he
- 8:02was I think like a first grade teacher or or or Kita Allah or
- 8:06whatever with a kindergarten or whatever was in in the school.
- 8:09I think it was a guy in Berlin. I'm not sure, but thousands of
- 8:13students and he was like a, a, a first grade Rebbe furry 20-30
- 8:18years and every year Parshis Noyak, he had the song Ayak is a
- 8:23big Sonic from his kepala. Oh, he made his kepala.
- 8:28Noyak was a big didn't have a hard part.
- 8:31It was just that and repeat. Noyak was a big Sonic and he
- 8:36came into the sea and I'm on the guitar with a band and
- 8:40everyone's dancing and he walks in towards the end of the night
- 8:43and somebody, my good friend Dovie, has a coverage.
- 8:45Big shout out because everything came through that moment.
- 8:48He comes and whispers in my ear, Sing The Knife is a big Sonic
- 8:52song. Now I'm up there, I'm very proud
- 8:54of myself. I'm holding my guitar.
- 8:56I'm a real singer and I have a band here and I was hired for
- 9:00this job and I'm not in the mood of singing his kindergarten
- 9:03little riff of Kepler to the Feast.
- 9:05So I'm just not, I didn't think it was appropriate.
- 9:09Shows how much we know, right? So but then I tell myself, stop
- 9:13it Mandy. Just who cares?
- 9:15Just do it. It'll make people happy.
- 9:18So the REB is already leaving and I start now Yahoo is a big
- 9:23sod that he turns around. The place goes wild cuz it's an
- 9:27uncommon song and everybody knows it and it's the Rebus song
- 9:30and it's light hearted and it's got all the good feelings and
- 9:34I'm singing it and he's on the Reb is on the chair and he's
- 9:36waving his hands and everyone's jumping and it's like a lit
- 9:39moment and I didn't want to end it because the the room was so
- 9:43hot. So I'm singing from Miss Keppa
- 9:48Dick and I'm going back. No ya and I don't know, it's
- 9:51actually on video. This moment's on video.
- 9:53Somebody was videoing it and just the melody, the high part
- 9:57melody popped into my head live while I was yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 10:01yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I didn't have a word.
- 10:06So I was like, the rabbit is a big topic.
- 10:08And then the guy made the scene was Akiva.
- 10:11Akiva is a big topic from Miss Kepa.
- 10:15Those. It was over night was over
- 10:17great. The next day I got a call from
- 10:20my good friends Ellie Miles Bloomstein and Ari Blumstein.
- 10:24Shout out to the holiest of all time and and then Ellie Mel says
- 10:29Mandy, we saw this clip someone posted on on WhatsApp status of
- 10:33this amazing song. Every is a big topic and we want
- 10:36to we want to do the song. Your success can come from the
- 10:45least obvious place and sometimes you just need to be in
- 10:50the right place at the right time and take a risk.
- 10:52And that's called trusting Hashem, you know, seeing, oh,
- 10:56here's an opportunity. Should I do it?
- 10:57Should I not do it? And how many times do we
- 10:59overthink everything? We overthink everything.
- 11:01That's what Hashem gave us this gift that this brain with the
- 11:03only species with this brain to think, but it could be a
- 11:06detriment you all you do is overthink things and you get
- 11:08nothing done. So learning to like think about
- 11:11it, make a quick judgement call. I think Elon Musk says if you
- 11:14want to be a great CEO, you got to be decisive and quick with
- 11:19your executive decisions because there's always the flip side of,
- 11:23of, you know, of, of a thought or an.
- 11:25Idea of it all the time. All the time.
- 11:28So if you feel like you know this is a good move, be decisive
- 11:32and then ignore the chatter. Just blinders on and just.
- 11:37Get right where I wanted to talk about because you had again, I I
- 11:39didn't know you at the time and I didn't, I didn't recognize
- 11:42your name then. I just knew it was a good song.
- 11:44And then I heard the the other song King or something like
- 11:46that. I remember exactly what it's
- 11:47called. And then for a number of years I
- 11:49didn't hear your name right. And then you had something with
- 11:51the, with the rabbi in upstate New York, right?
- 11:55And then the. Blown by young rice.
- 11:56Robbie Young Rice was an unbelievable Jew, by the way.
- 11:59The best. That jewel's amazing.
- 12:00They have hats on the wall for you to take and cartels.
- 12:02It's just such a welcoming place.
- 12:03It's beautiful. Yeah, absolutely beautiful.
- 12:05I snuck into his sitter just to see how many names he davens
- 12:09for. That like a post it factory.
- 12:11It's amazing. Unbelievable.
- 12:12Like unbelievable. He's very, very.
- 12:14And that's when, boom, every year the big side that came out
- 12:16and said, I'm just curious what happened during those years?
- 12:19Where were you? What's what was going on?
- 12:20We're talking about confidence. We're talking about you being
- 12:22out there now that I know your music and it's playing in my
- 12:25home. And it's like, you know, Shabbos
- 12:27comes in, I have good Shabbos coming up and, you know, that's
- 12:30how they think. Yeah.
- 12:32Just if you don't mind. Don't mind.
- 12:33It's, it's something I think about all the time.
- 12:35So it's going to be a little bit of a longer answer.
- 12:37We'll try to cover a lot of that's OK, but it's all right.
- 12:40So I always sang. I always not, I never thought I
- 12:44had a great voice, certainly not like one of those stellar pure
- 12:49angelic voices, but I always knew that I could be authentic
- 12:55and, and authenticity is not something you could fake.
- 12:57But I always music. I felt music.
- 12:59I didn't just hear music, I felt it.
- 13:02And I, and I, I'm, I feel like I'm a very emotional person and
- 13:08I'm in tune to emotions. And that's probably what makes
- 13:10me able to be humorous, if I want to be humorous or serious,
- 13:14or it's being able to read a room and read people.
- 13:17And I'm very sensitive to the, the vibes and music makes me
- 13:22feel a certain way. And I always knew that I could
- 13:26be authentic. I loved singing, but I never saw
- 13:30it as a career or like, I didn't want to be just another singer.
- 13:34I wanted to be a little different.
- 13:36I wanted my music to have a showcase, a little bit of my
- 13:39funny side, my creative side. Have a message was very
- 13:43important. I didn't want to just sing a
- 13:45pusick. I wanted to come out there and
- 13:47say something. But Jewish music is is shrouded
- 13:53with taboos. There are circles that won't
- 13:55listen to other Jewish singers because that's too much out of
- 13:59their comfort zone. There are styles that are
- 14:03resonating in some places that don't write, you know, just to
- 14:06throw a name like Yehuda. Remember growing up in the name
- 14:09check Yehuda Maidim, right? He resonated and was awesome
- 14:15with a certain sect. And then there were Jews that
- 14:18never heard of him. So just to just, he just popped
- 14:21in my head just to use one like so I always want to do to do
- 14:25music that was like universal and broke those boundaries.
- 14:31It's easier said than done, but I always wanted to do songs
- 14:34about subjects. So my family was always close to
- 14:38RIP Shyla Kersteer and my great, great, great grandfather lived a
- 14:41mile away from Kersteer. We were very close.
- 14:44We were going to Kersteer before it became fashionable.
- 14:47So it was just one year and the Goma coming home from the yard
- 14:50side, there were like maybe 200 people total there.
- 14:54Today you have thousands of people, you know.
- 14:56So we were coming home and I just wanted to write a song
- 14:58about Shyla. And I did it more for like me
- 15:01and my family. I went to the great lyricist
- 15:04Marty Ilowitz, who is Khasida Shah today.
- 15:06He sings and he's an artist and very talented, but at that time
- 15:09he was a Batrin. He wrote me the words I would
- 15:12give him. He didn't even know too much
- 15:13about Karis there. And I told him like certain
- 15:16stories or different words that I wanted.
- 15:17And he came back like a day later with those lyrics.
- 15:20It was like, wow. Next up, we have Shmili anger.
- 15:23Shmili shares with us the value of mentorship and take a listen
- 15:27to the mentorship that he had from his grandfather that
- 15:29brought him to who he is today. Take jobs.
- 15:32Take jobs. You get an offer for $200.
- 15:34Go, go sing. Don't worry about how much money
- 15:36you just first get users, get followers.
- 15:39Yeah. Start building your brand.
- 15:40Yeah, smart guy, your grandfather.
- 15:42Yeah, Yeah. You like it?
- 15:43Yeah, but at this. Is he still alive?
- 15:45No, he passed away a few years ago.
- 15:48But I got to see you in your prime, right?
- 15:50You got to really enjoy the successes that you were
- 15:53enjoying. Yes, he got to see a bit.
- 15:54He must have felt very proud. He must have been super
- 15:57practice. He was a part of your journey
- 15:58from the beginning. And he believed in me and all
- 16:00the other cousins to someone and what?
- 16:021 was a chef, 1 was a drummer, and nobody felt like Zya didn't
- 16:04give me any startup money. Why?
- 16:06Why was he better? So yeah, he definitely gave me
- 16:09so. He created some politics also.
- 16:11Good old, you know. Talk to Zaidi.
- 16:12Talk to Zaidi. I didn't do anything.
- 16:14Probably also picked up on your talent.
- 16:16Yes, ultimately. And yeah, this is a big part.
- 16:18He wanted to be, he saw the talent.
- 16:20And also my father wasn't alive. My father was his oldest.
- 16:22And it was a kind of a way, you know, he took me in and he he he
- 16:26raised me kind of interesting. But at the point when he said
- 16:30Nembus Magita like whatever take it was already maybe a year or
- 16:33two that I I I, I I felt I put in a lot of work in these Takuna
- 16:38house. And I said I felt I told him
- 16:39Zaidi 450, this is the bottom. I can't do a wedding.
- 16:43I can't do I'm not going out of my house less than 450.
- 16:46And and that's what I said no, but you said you love my Zaidi.
- 16:50But I think that. My way you by the way.
- 16:52Is the better way. He's studying on his standard.
- 16:54Yeah, yes, yes, it happens to everyone by the happens to.
- 16:57Everyone so and so we had. By the way, the old adage, if
- 17:00you're good at something, never do it for free, right?
- 17:04Never do it for free. That it's it's you're right.
- 17:07This is your talent. Don't just give it away.
- 17:09You have a minimum. You want me to get out of bed?
- 17:11You. Want me to work?
- 17:12For you, this is what I charged I'm.
- 17:14Curious, was was it at that point that you knew it's going
- 17:17to be a career or? Oh, I want to say HELL no, but a
- 17:21big no Wow. HELL.
- 17:23Could continue. I I did like 4 years where I was
- 17:26just spine blit. I was spitting blocks you.
- 17:29Were you were sweating it? Out really, really I did.
- 17:32I didn't have these fancy bands I had.
- 17:34I had the, the, the the the cheapest musicians.
- 17:37All of them are great, good people.
- 17:39How are you getting income besides this then?
- 17:40You I didn't need income. I was a Booker, I was a book and
- 17:43I didn't do it for the income. I did it for the fun.
- 17:45I, I love to do it and I just, I still.
- 17:48Was asking not get it at that age, of course makes sense,
- 17:51yeah. So I I had no idea.
- 17:52That it instead of washing. Cars for $100.
- 17:55You singing again? Exactly.
- 17:56So 4 but for your gig. Other than that, yeah.
- 17:59So I started 450, then it got to 455750 and then it got to 11.
- 18:04And then when I went from 11 to 14, that's when a big change
- 18:07happened. I had my, my, my then producer,
- 18:10my musical producer, Navali Schneisler, He came into my life
- 18:14and, and he told me to up the price.
- 18:16And he's he he, he was a big producer.
- 18:18So just being in his avid, in his space adversary, yeah.
- 18:23Gave me courage, gave me confidence, just just made me
- 18:27feel good. And he started telling me
- 18:28Shmelly. Oh, that's when I changed my
- 18:30name. I was named Shmell Dovit and I,
- 18:33I wasn't then it was maybe a little bit earlier that I made
- 18:35it. Oh, when I made the business
- 18:36cards, maybe I, I wrote Schmeli. I, I wrote Schmeli, but I felt
- 18:40Schmel Duva Dunga is very rubbish.
- 18:42Very. I didn't like it.
- 18:43Even Schmeli Unga I didn't like. I thought that if only my name
- 18:46was Mahal Schnitzler. It's like a name everybody, it's
- 18:49good. It's a singer or Lipa
- 18:51Schmeltzer. Oh my God, Schmeli Unga is like
- 18:53so foreign. It's like maybe Schloeme Toisig.
- 18:56That's what I looked at it. All the hands down the same to
- 18:58me. Yeah, but I hear what you're
- 19:00saying, OK. So I changed my name.
- 19:02I also changed my hat. I used to wear a stuff and hit,
- 19:04you know, the different hats. The stuff matter wear anyway,
- 19:06it's all thing you. Know about a stuff and hit now
- 19:08guys. You know.
- 19:09Sure, I know I'm worth whatever people are willing to pay.
- 19:12Exactly. That's what Natanis Nursery
- 19:14like, yeah. Yeah, ever.
- 19:15That's what you're worth. Did you set the market price
- 19:17based on what people? Yeah, based on what people tell
- 19:19you the market exactly. I, I comprise myself out of
- 19:22business, the market will decide, right?
- 19:24But he felt threatened instead of like feeling the feeling.
- 19:27This new guys open the prize. We're gonna push up the prize.
- 19:30Let's do this. You could help the market, yes.
- 19:32Yeah. And not only is this, you asked
- 19:34before if I can make a living. So at this point in life, I'm
- 19:37divorced. I don't have much expenses.
- 19:39I'm working with this guy, Naftali Schnitzler.
- 19:41Currently he's working with Barry Weber, with the early
- 19:43Greenfield, maybe with Lipa Schmeltzer.
- 19:46He's working with other guys and he's telling those guys for
- 19:48Barry Webber, Barry, you're charging only $1200.
- 19:51You got to go up to 18, you got to push it.
- 19:53And Barry and Greenfield, they have families.
- 19:55They say I'm very happy this is what people are giving me and
- 19:58the price for a wedding singer for many, many years.
- 20:01Was the price between 800 and $1500?
- 20:04That's what the number. Mahoush Nisler was 18.
- 20:06It was a big deal. And maybe Shalami Daskal was 25.
- 20:09He was the Medea and a singer. Schmeltzer.
- 20:11Lipa Schmeltzer, Yeah. He was also on the higher end,
- 20:14yes. Yes, it was a yeah, it was the
- 20:15most now. Identifying is then the higher
- 20:17end was 2500, meaning yeah, the market has changed, which
- 20:20grassroots we'll talk about in a minute.
- 20:23Yeah, I'm gonna get there. So.
- 20:25So I didn't have what to lose and I'm paying this Naftali
- 20:30Schnitzler for helping me. I figure if he's going to give
- 20:32me advice, I'm going to take it. And he told me to go to 14 and
- 20:36six months later I'm going to 18 and the calendar is just booked,
- 20:39jam packed. I'm working every night, every
- 20:41night. Every night, so you work Sunday
- 20:43to Thursday. Yeah, OK, You know what?
- 20:45I was never the singlest thing. Tally Goldie would sing every
- 20:47night. It's really bad to get things.
- 20:48I mean, she better call. They sing every night.
- 20:51Even in my hottest, hottest times I was singing I could do 3
- 20:55or 4 weddings a night. On and on and on.
- 20:57That's a. That's a lot.
- 20:58Yeah, it's a lot of words. Doesn't take a toll on your
- 21:00voice. It did.
- 21:01It did, but. Like one more five hours also.
- 21:04Yeah, no, it's like 3 hours. But I take a lot of breaks.
- 21:06The musician takes solos and sometimes you have choirs or the
- 21:10choir takes away. Now I'm not singing five nights
- 21:13a week. I mean, it can happen in June
- 21:15if, if I would get book, I would do five nights, but it's not so
- 21:18often. If I do 2 weddings a week is
- 21:20average is nice. It's easy.
- 21:22The money is even more than I would do 5 weddings back then.
- 21:24So you know, I, I have more time.
- 21:26It's a different ball game altogether.
- 21:28But back then starting out and I'm going to 18 and to 25 and
- 21:31everybody, I was a member in the sheet of choir and I had my
- 21:36peers. How do you call it, the people
- 21:37working with me, colleagues, My colleagues, yes.
- 21:40And we were friends and, and I'm charging money for singing and
- 21:43then I'm working with them back in different singers.
- 21:46So it became a kind of a friction.
- 21:49They wanted to be my friend, but behind my back they were saying,
- 21:51who's this guy? Who did you think he is?
- 21:53Yeah, he's one day he's going to come like all these things.
- 21:57But in front of me, they're my friend.
- 21:59Yeah, but they want to be my friend.
- 22:01And it's good then. Politics ensued.
- 22:04This What do you know? This part, I'm going to admit,
- 22:06it was probably true. Like that's what was happening.
- 22:08Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't perceived that way.
- 22:10This wasn't. Unfortunately, it was.
- 22:12This was the real life. Yeah, that's when they also this
- 22:14comes out and. Yeah, and they also wanted to
- 22:17figure out where they're standing and how they're feeling
- 22:19about it. I also become AI just.
- 22:21Want to do what you do? You just want to.
- 22:22Love, I'm just I'm yeah, I'm spreading my wings and flying.
- 22:25That's that's what I'm doing. Next up we have Aaron Zutler
- 22:28from Pop Insanity. This man is insane in every
- 22:32sense of the word in a positive way.
- 22:35I met him when he was playing guitar for Yehuda Green and the
- 22:38next time we spoke was about Pop Insanity and we learnt all about
- 22:42growth and how it's never too late.
- 22:45I read somewhere that you ended up on Oprah and I, I, I've heard
- 22:50about this story before, but I just want to ask you what just
- 22:53like candidly, I mean, how was that experience with her and.
- 22:57Did you meet? Oprah No, no.
- 22:59So after selling the Jewish stores and the caterers, I
- 23:05realized there's no way that we can sustain A livelihood and not
- 23:11not the kosher market very big. And we're, we're every almost
- 23:14everywhere where we want to be. There's always room for
- 23:17improvement and there's always new stores opening.
- 23:19I'm not saying that we that we have it all wrapped up because
- 23:22we don't there's always work to do, but my goal always was
- 23:27mainstream America. So I said, how do we do that?
- 23:31And I decided with my partners that we have to do trade shows
- 23:38and be out there. We're in Muncie who sees U.S.
- 23:41website. How do you market?
- 23:42So Long story short, I'd say you know what?
- 23:46We're going to go to a trade show in Atlanta.
- 23:50It's a gift show. Gift show.
- 23:53It's not a food show. So on one side of me, the guy
- 23:55selling Swarovski crystals, the other side of me, the guy
- 23:58selling Persian rugs from wherever, and here I am selling
- 24:02popcorn. It makes no sense.
- 24:04But at the end of the day, gorgeous boots, chandelier,
- 24:07carpeting, little magician action.
- 24:09The perfect gifting item? Yeah, for sure.
- 24:11It's a gift, you know. So Long story short, we're
- 24:14selling there. We're we're, we're doing our
- 24:16thing. And I see a guy, he's walking
- 24:20with a people, couple of women following him with notepads.
- 24:25And every time he makes a comment, they're taking notes or
- 24:29whatever. And I see he's like steering it.
- 24:32I'm saying to myself, that gives you that's OK.
- 24:35When are we working? We're working their customers
- 24:38and the booth little son, the guy makes his way over and he
- 24:41says, what's going on here? I said, I'm selling popcorn.
- 24:46I thought I'm selling jewelry. Like, and he's eating and he's
- 24:50like, Oh my God. And and the women are eating and
- 24:53they're and he says, tell me something.
- 24:57And I really thought like either he was a competitor or the IRS
- 25:00doing an audit. How much do you make?
- 25:02How many of this, what's going on here do?
- 25:04Who do you sell? What do you buy?
- 25:06A million questions and add to the point where I got a little
- 25:10bit, you know. What's going on here?
- 25:11I. Said, you know what, here's my
- 25:13card after the show, feel free to give me a call whenever He
- 25:18says, can we talk over there for a second?
- 25:21And he says to me, he says my name is so and so and I am.
- 25:26He gave me his title and he said, I think this would be very
- 25:31interesting for oh, I said, what's O?
- 25:37He says, what do you mean, what's O?
- 25:40You never heard of Oprah? I said, of course I heard of
- 25:43Oprah, but I don't know what O is.
- 25:45He goes, that's her magazine. Oh, yeah, that's cool.
- 25:51You know, I look all over the United States for products for
- 25:55her list. What list?
- 26:00He says. So you, you live under a rock,
- 26:01like I said, what do you want from 2 Jewish guys from
- 26:04Brooklyn? What?
- 26:05About Oprah's favorite things. As if you would know and.
- 26:08He says. No need any None of them is
- 26:10Sparkle magazine. What?
- 26:10Do you want from It was very nice and he explained, you know
- 26:13what it is and you know Yak is like thinking, OK, this guy
- 26:17probably went downstairs to Kinko's, bought a business card
- 26:20running around the show getting free samples.
- 26:22Like. Very possible, yeah.
- 26:26Like took his card. This was your first trade trip?
- 26:29This is no, this is probably a year into sorry.
- 26:33There's another. You've done trade shows.
- 26:35Trade shows was a thing. Yeah, yeah.
- 26:36But I did food trade shows. Right sweets, right now.
- 26:39This was the first out-of-the-box that the.
- 26:41Trade shows like interesting, you know, and you know, he said
- 26:47OK, I think they would really like this whatever and took the
- 26:49business card. He left and we do, you know,
- 26:52doing our the rest of our day. Come back to the hotel Googling
- 26:57his name. Isn't that the guy that just
- 27:00was? Yeah.
- 27:01He's real and he's, you know, he's, he's real.
- 27:05And we said they got to send samples here.
- 27:08You got to send samples here. You got to send samples here.
- 27:10I said Yankee, worst case scenario, yes, Worst case
- 27:13scenario, we'll be out some samples like Big South of
- 27:16Chicago. Send it here.
- 27:17Send it there. Right.
- 27:19If Oprah asks for something, you give it to her.
- 27:21You do not deny Oprah Winfrey. Yes, you don't.
- 27:25Yes, she's a very powerful woman.
- 27:27I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but.
- 27:29Yes, very, very, very not only a good question.
- 27:32Let's. Watch.
- 27:32A question that means a lot to me and I never do.
- 27:37I do. I say wow, look what this maybe
- 27:40whatever. I'm more every time time I get
- 27:45emotional thinking about it, every time I walk into my plant
- 27:48in Jersey and there are 920 something people working there
- 27:54and machines going, pallets coming, going and I see how big
- 27:57this place is. I I have a hard time believing
- 28:03it. Well, it's still not processed.
- 28:05I didn't sync, no. It's processed but I'm just so
- 28:07and I see. Grateful.
- 28:09You sound very grateful. Very, very grateful.
- 28:11And when I see when people send me pictures, Hey Aaron, I'm in
- 28:15Hawaii and they sent me pictures of the thing.
- 28:24I couldn't. I don't know how else to say it.
- 28:30You created a lifestyle. You created a brand.
- 28:32There's no. Question about it.
- 28:32Me and my partners, I'm very thankful to the people that I
- 28:36work with, extremely thankful for the people that I work with
- 28:40and they put a lot of hard work into it.
- 28:43Very often it's me and my father is they get the credit.
- 28:46It's not it's our families. I missed lots of weddings.
- 28:49I missed lots of parties and things because the order had to
- 28:53get out or we needed to cook. When, when it's this time of
- 28:57year, their holiday season, we have two shifts and it's, it's a
- 29:01it's a lot, but just an answer to your question.
- 29:04It's, it's, it's a lot of lot of a cursor tone.
- 29:07It's a lot of gratitude because it's, you know, a lot of people
- 29:11will take credit and this and that.
- 29:13It's not credit. Believe me when I tell you, so
- 29:17many things happen. I, I look at my phone as like,
- 29:20how is it? If I wanted, I wouldn't even
- 29:24know how to reach out to Oprah to offer her product to, to
- 29:28consider. I I googled, I googled how do
- 29:30you get there are school, there are seminars that you go to that
- 29:35teach you how to present even if she'll open it and this guy
- 29:38walked into my booth, that doesn't happen.
- 29:40So what am I going to say? It's like it's, it's, it's,
- 29:45it's. No way to explain it.
- 29:49Next up we have Sonny Perlman. Sonny has been a mentor to me
- 29:52for my entire adult life and here he talks about the power of
- 29:57addiction and how he is addicted to not only his spouse but his
- 30:02community. And he talks about the concept
- 30:05of giving back to the community. And wait till you hear this
- 30:08analogy, it's unbelievable. Check it out.
- 30:10In Shiva, you walk in. Imagine you walk into a Shiva
- 30:13and you see a guy sitting low down on the floor and you said
- 30:15get up, get a job. What's wrong with you?
- 30:17Go get a job. Just get up, get a life.
- 30:20What are you feeling sad for yourself?
- 30:22It would be the most ridiculous thing you could possibly say to
- 30:23the guy. We understand the idea of Shiva
- 30:26is that when someone gets to a place that is so broken and so
- 30:31hurting, we know as a community that it's not on them to get
- 30:36better anymore, it's on us. We have to surround that person.
- 30:40People coming. I, it was hard for me.
- 30:42I sat through Shiva recently and it was like people just kept
- 30:44coming and come. They did not allow me to sit by
- 30:47myself for one second. They were like, we got you,
- 30:50we're holding you. You call me from a different
- 30:53country. Like it would people calling,
- 30:55texting, they're holding. And all I wanted was everybody
- 30:59to go away and like, I could go hide in my room.
- 31:02Like just when someone is broken, all they want to do is
- 31:06hideaway and be broken and the community says no.
- 31:10Not only that, we're going to sit here in silence until you
- 31:13talk. I don't need, we don't need you
- 31:16to do anything. You understand that?
- 31:19Sonny, Sonny, you're this is amazing.
- 31:21This is so profound because and by the and and go with this.
- 31:24Keep going with this. What I'm saying he's listening
- 31:25to the the he's listening to the shiver rules about the so far
- 31:28two of them I heard so far right is that you have the outside
- 31:31people that are meant to come and come for you by design.
- 31:33You're not supposed to fix yourself.
- 31:35You mourn and let your support team rally around and let them
- 31:38do their job. And and the second thing, the
- 31:41second thing is that we're gonna wait for you to talk first.
- 31:44We're not gonna help because you have to, you know, you have to
- 31:46help yourself a little bit as well.
- 31:48So you talk. We're gonna sit here and win and
- 31:50support you and these rules. It sounds like it's all about.
- 31:53Bringing them food? Why are you telling them go go
- 31:55make an egg, No. Go get a job, go get money and
- 31:58buy your own food. No, we're going to bring you
- 32:00food. Until you're healed.
- 32:01Like so when you say, oh, does that person want to heal?
- 32:04I didn't want to get better during Shiva.
- 32:07I was just broken. I lost someone I love.
- 32:09I die. I don't want to get better.
- 32:12I don't want to fix myself. What do we do?
- 32:14You say, but God doesn't want to get better.
- 32:15You can't fix him. No guy walks into my program.
- 32:19He says, what do I have to do? I say nothing.
- 32:22It's on us. If you can't feel the love and
- 32:25support from us, you're not going to get better.
- 32:28Your whole job, if there's any job is try to open your heart a
- 32:33little bit and believe that we love you.
- 32:35And if you could do that, we going to push our way in and
- 32:38just give you so much love that you're going to be so full that
- 32:42you're going to want to move on to go doing the work.
- 32:44So the way I see it is that, and they explain addiction, is that
- 32:50is that we have an internal self esteem, every human being.
- 32:53And that's how we deal with our stuff, our good feelings, our
- 32:56bad feelings. We deal with it with our
- 32:58internal self esteem that makes us feel better.
- 33:02When that self esteem is not strong enough, we use external
- 33:06self esteem. So we use outside forces to make
- 33:09us feel better. When you think of an addict, I'm
- 33:13trying to make it as simple as possible.
- 33:14When I when you think of an addict, his self esteem is so
- 33:17low that it's everything he does is external self esteem.
- 33:21He's using these people to make him feel better.
- 33:23He'll be super charming at work and he'll make everybody love
- 33:26him. He'll, he'll use too much
- 33:28cocaine. He'll, he'll use relationship
- 33:31addiction, sex addiction, food addiction, He might use It's
- 33:35very hard to find someone who's only addicted to one thing.
- 33:37Everybody, it's, it's, it's on you.
- 33:39It's not on the thing. That's why it's hard to answer
- 33:41that question. An addict is a person who's
- 33:44addicted. So you'll find that cocaine
- 33:46works the best for you and you'll find that gambling works
- 33:49the best for you. It doesn't really matter because
- 33:51that's the thing that you're taking from the outside to make
- 33:54our insides feel better. And everybody has an issue.
- 33:59So like I'll give you an example, like when we have like
- 34:04Netflix wouldn't make any money if we weren't all addicts.
- 34:07I mean, we all binge watch a Netflix show and nobody should
- 34:10do that. You, you probably should not be
- 34:12in anybody's life. Like you said, that guy said, my
- 34:14guys don't watch TV. Everybody's watching TVI don't
- 34:17know what he's talking about. They're binge watching they're
- 34:20but what's happening is we're using that to comfort ourselves.
- 34:23And the more we use things to comfort ourselves, the less our
- 34:26self esteem works and the worse it gets.
- 34:29So that's how the addiction is so so to understand addiction is
- 34:32just that our external self esteem is way bigger than our
- 34:35internal. Self esteem.
- 34:38And everybody's on the spectrum. So if your self esteem is at
- 34:40like 70%, your addiction is going to be like a 30%.
- 34:43So most healthy people are somewhere in that range.
- 34:46Like they're mostly healthy. And then sometimes they need to
- 34:49feel better. So they're doing things they're
- 34:50not proud of the eating too much.
- 34:51They, you know, they got to go on diets all the time and like
- 34:54regular people, addicts have no self esteem.
- 34:57The way we think of addicts, they have nothing.
- 34:58They don't feel good. So the like the main feeling
- 35:01they're feeling is I am essentially unlovable.
- 35:04There's nothing about me that's lovable.
- 35:06And therefore I need to make myself lovable by using these
- 35:10outside forces. What was the most like broken
- 35:12case that came to that really just tore you apart?
- 35:14I really have a hard time talking about cases but I that I
- 35:18feel like I wasn't equipped. He's like, you were like
- 35:20shocked, like even you've seen it all.
- 35:23This was something that was, I get you.
- 35:24It was new. I get shocked a lot.
- 35:27I have a case that I unfortunately he passed away, so
- 35:31he did not. It's not one of those great
- 35:33stories. I have a million of those great
- 35:35stories. But he we sat down, counted like
- 35:38a week before he died and he had gone to 42 programs, 42 programs
- 35:45and I'd send them to and paid for.
- 35:47And I used to call his mother and say, just take him home.
- 35:53He doesn't need to be in another rehab.
- 35:56Even if he's using. He just needs his mother to say
- 36:00he didn't have a father, just needs his mother to say you're
- 36:03here, I love you. You got to do drugs.
- 36:05You got to, It's fine. But 42 different stranger
- 36:10programs he had to go to and none of them told him he loved.
- 36:14All he wanted was his mother to say he loved she loved him.
- 36:17To me that when I tell that story, I want to, you know,
- 36:20like, and he died and it makes me incredibly sad, but, and I
- 36:25don't know if she would even have saved him, but he died not
- 36:29knowing his mother loved him. And to me that's that's, you
- 36:32know, you want to hear a story that really tears my heart out.
- 36:34That's a story that really tears my heart out.
- 36:37But I have, I have, I have another guy that I that I was
- 36:40dealing with. I don't know if you've ever
- 36:42dealt. No, I don't think you dealt with
- 36:43this case at some point. But for 15 years, everybody gave
- 36:49up on him. And he was a dynamic guy.
- 36:51So people would try and try and try 15 years I stayed with this
- 36:54guy and gave him all this love. I did the Shiva house rules and
- 36:58then for 15 years and everybody dropped off.
- 37:01He was one of the most difficult cases anybody's ever seen.
- 37:04And after 15 years, he kept coming back to me.
- 37:06And the same message was I'm here for you, loving you no
- 37:09matter what. If you want to do more, you just
- 37:11tell me. And I got you.
- 37:12And the, and the whole time he would, he would yell at me and
- 37:16scream at me and harass me and it was unbelievable.
- 37:20And then he said finally two, he he overdosed twice in one week
- 37:24flat lined both times. And then he called me and said
- 37:28I'm ready. And now he's years in recovery.
- 37:32He'll, he's like got a business, a bank account, a car, a
- 37:35motorcycle. He's got friends, he's mentoring
- 37:38people. He's, you're talking about like
- 37:41incredible stuff and there's a guy who's living on the streets
- 37:44like legit homeless in New York City.
- 37:46Next up we have Rabe Lawrence Hashioff.
- 37:49Rabe Lawrence talks about Mashiach and the concept of
- 37:53dreaming and dreaming big. Check out Rabe Lawrence.
- 37:56You know, didn't you start off your career as a comedian or
- 37:59something? I have some sort of recollection
- 38:01I. Started my career.
- 38:02I used to make a little bit of extra money when I was at
- 38:05college doing stand up comedy Stop it and but I really was
- 38:09terrible so I gave it up and gave a rabbi instead.
- 38:12But I did. Actually, no, no, Tell me about
- 38:13that experience. I need to know.
- 38:14Let's jump right into it. So there was a competition at my
- 38:17university that they wanted to have like a medium of the year
- 38:20and I applied for it and had to go through rehearsals.
- 38:23And I got the I got into the audition and from that I got
- 38:28offered various jobs doing comedy.
- 38:30I had a good friend of mine called Simon and he would drive
- 38:33you around to different places to do the stand up, you know,
- 38:35comedy. And I went to one location and
- 38:37it was a birthday party. A guy had found me some house, a
- 38:40newspaper report or whatever it was.
- 38:41And I went this venue and it was this guy's wife's birthday, but
- 38:48she was turning 90. So the average age, and she was
- 38:51young for the crowd. Average age people were in their
- 38:54mid 90s. And every joke I told, you could
- 38:57hear their false teeth, like clacketing, no laughing.
- 39:03And my friend Simon, who's my unofficial agent, was outside
- 39:07and the door was slightly open and I could see his face and he
- 39:10was crying. He couldn't breathe.
- 39:13At that point, I realized that I needed to find a new career.
- 39:15It was not going to work. I did actually go through
- 39:18classes. It's true.
- 39:19By the way, my cousin Adrian how to do stand up comedy went to a
- 39:22course the stand up. Comedy course What'd you learn?
- 39:25I'll tell you something. I I can't remember everything,
- 39:27but there's one thing just that stand out in the stand up.
- 39:30See, stand up. And what they made you do was
- 39:32tell jokes to the crowd, the other, you know, students.
- 39:36And then they would stop laughing and they would say, now
- 39:39you die. You have to fall on the floor
- 39:40dead. I'll pretend obviously.
- 39:43What was the idea that you're going to die eventually?
- 39:45All comedians have to get used to failing on stage.
- 39:48So they just prepare you to tell jokes.
- 39:49They prepared you to fail on stage.
- 39:51I will say that that course was like an 8 part course.
- 39:54Really got into my head. The importance of speakers.
- 39:57The best speakers, which is what I do a lot of are comedians
- 40:01because if you don't hear what they're saying, no one's going
- 40:04to laugh. So a lot of my speaking
- 40:07techniques actually gain from watching comedians, which I
- 40:10love, you know as well. But watching stand up and
- 40:13learning from them how to speak eloquently and clearly so that
- 40:16people can hear the punchline, so they can laugh at your jokes,
- 40:20love. To believe it would make me no
- 40:22more happier to believe in Michelle than anything else.
- 40:25So for me, I'd love to hear more about this.
- 40:27Let's. Just crunch it down.
- 40:28First of all, you're saying I'm going to validate it.
- 40:30You're right. I grew up going to very high
- 40:31radio chief, as they don't talk about this stuff, they don't
- 40:34make it part of the limit thing. They'll finish it about Torah
- 40:36and because of the show, right, we'll have a, you know, base a
- 40:39man who's been here in my main when Michelle can't be like, you
- 40:41know, that was the end of it. You know, where children were
- 40:43not so interested. Leaving aside Khabad, Khabad
- 40:46introduced it because the Babbage Rebbe sort of was
- 40:48missing. So he made it one of the
- 40:50fundamental influences we need to put into our lives.
- 40:54Actually use the Khabad homage every shop.
- 40:56It's a beautiful one actually and.
- 40:58You have to plug that more. I'm sorry.
- 41:00That is my favorite Hamish and it helps me get.
- 41:02Really governing. It really is.
- 41:03Every single show there is a brown well known Hamish and now
- 41:07they have a version in blue and it's written by Habad and they
- 41:10take the story of the Hamish of the Torah and they write it and
- 41:14they haven't bold the words that are being told in the Torah but
- 41:17not in bold. They have the storyline.
- 41:20Right. They interpolate it, which means
- 41:21while you're reading the English, it's not just an
- 41:22English translation, it's also a description explanation, what
- 41:26says a lot more read. Every Shabbos when when I'm
- 41:29listening to the Torah, instead of listening it and reading it,
- 41:31the Hebrew words I'm following along with either a brown or a
- 41:35blue Khamesh given and created by Chabad.
- 41:37Kudos to them and I really really agree if everyone could
- 41:40have it so. Leaving that aside for just a
- 41:41second, there is an idea which is central to Judaism, but it is
- 41:45a belief. It's a belief because it hasn't
- 41:47happened yet, OK? Although those who follow my
- 41:50staff will know that we are seeing very clear signs without
- 41:53a shadow of a doubt that we're in the cusp, right?
- 41:56We're in the transition phage phase from before mushiyaf to
- 41:59after mushiyaf. But they're not just Jews,
- 42:00right? The goyim, the Christians, and
- 42:02even the Muslims are very into this topic.
- 42:04Actually, if you want to understand what's happening in
- 42:05the Middle East today, you need to understand Iran, because
- 42:08they're funding all their proxies, Hamas, Hezbollah and
- 42:13the Houthis in order to attack us.
- 42:15And they are actually an Islamist, jihadi, messianic
- 42:19death cult. So they also, I know it sounds
- 42:22crazy, but they are also into this topic.
- 42:24Obviously they're getting it wrong.
- 42:26So what's the Jewish view? So there's two ways to just
- 42:29download this topic very quickly into your brain.
- 42:31And that is the view of the Rambam and those who follow him.
- 42:34And that's more rationalistic, which is there's going to be a
- 42:37time when the Jewish people are going to have to return to the
- 42:40land of Israel. And this is from the prophets.
- 42:42There's a lot written on Mushiya.
- 42:43There's very little written on Trasmesim, resurrection of the
- 42:47dead. So that's another topic which is
- 42:48going to follow Mushiya. But Mushiya, there's a lot
- 42:50written on it. There's tons written on it in
- 42:53the Vien prophets. You have Gomorrahs, right?
- 42:55We're sure, Maharana, everyone writes about it.
- 42:57So the rumbum basically says the world's going to carry on as is.
- 43:00And the Jewish bit are going to return to Israel, which we've
- 43:03been seeing for the past 50-60 years and even more.
- 43:06And we're going to be living safely in our land with no more
- 43:08war, which is tough to see, but right right now.
- 43:11And we're going to be at peace. And royalty is going to return.
- 43:15Mashiach is a king actually. Meshach doesn't mean saviour.
- 43:18Ask most Jewish people in religious one.
- 43:20What does Meshach mean? He's a saviour, it's not what he
- 43:22is. Meshach means to anoint, which
- 43:24is to pour something on something else to make it
- 43:27special. The prophet would do, he would
- 43:29take oil, olive oil, put it into a horn and he would pour it into
- 43:33the sheep of the crown on the head of the future king.
- 43:36It's like Shmuel Samuel did to David Amelach and that made him
- 43:39into king. That's what it means, the
- 43:41anointing of the special. The word Meshach doesn't even
- 43:43refer specifically to mashiach because we understand it, right?
- 43:47There are konim called mashiach. There's a kon mashiach, right?
- 43:50So there's many different jobs. It means a, a position of great
- 43:52leadership. So we're gonna have a great
- 43:54leader. By the way, you already kind of
- 43:57made me feel a little bit better, like I'm, you know, you
- 44:00trying to download into my brain just by that, just by that
- 44:03alone, I'm 1% feeling better. Keep.
- 44:05Going. I thought Mashiach really means.
- 44:08That's what I thought. I thought Mashiac is like a
- 44:10savior who's going to come and he's going to magic wand and
- 44:12he's going to change the whole world and everything's going to
- 44:14be upended. And you're saying no, no, things
- 44:17are going to be regular and it's going to be an anointed king.
- 44:20It's going to be someone who's going to come and it's going to
- 44:22be a leader. So more realistic.
- 44:24He's more realistic. It's sounding much more down to
- 44:26earth and. By the way, the Rahman describes
- 44:28it that way and I'm pleased you're you're being very honest,
- 44:31which I appreciate. Most people have this idea, but
- 44:33the idea we have of Mashiac unfortunately comes to
- 44:35Christianity, right? There's some super being who's
- 44:39like God, or in that case, is God OK?
- 44:41Not at all. He's going to be a normal man,
- 44:42flesh and blood challenges. He's going to be selected as the
- 44:46king of the Jewish people. We're going to return to Israel
- 44:48and the 3rd and final temple is going to be built Anhara bias
- 44:53right on Temple Mount English life and the Jewish people are
- 44:56going to return and we're all going to live there.
- 44:58We're ready. It's a process.
- 45:00It takes time. I know we're told as soon as you
- 45:02wake up and she has to say and everything's going to be great.
- 45:04That's not true you. See, but that's what they did.
- 45:06They really dumbed it down to a point of it's like a fairy tale.
- 45:10I know that you believe very much in dreams and I and I know
- 45:15this is something that you take seriously, very serious.
- 45:17I'd like, I'd like to ask you about that.
- 45:18Wow. I'm surprised you asked me that.
- 45:20I from the questions I get asked, probably the most
- 45:23questions I get asked because I'm a lot of WhatsApp groups
- 45:25where they ask questions and stuff and calls and stuff.
- 45:29The biggest thing is Mushiya and the end of days.
- 45:31That's most questions I get from people, which we'll discuss
- 45:33soon. But people ask me that dreams
- 45:35all the time so much so I'm not kidding you.
- 45:38Next to my bed on my bedside devil, I have books that I'm
- 45:41reading at at any given moment and I have an amazing book on
- 45:44dreams which I have next to me. Like this one is I was
- 45:48recommended by Rabbi Tatz many years ago.
- 45:49He said this is one of the best ones.
- 45:50So I actually referred to that and it's helped me like I
- 45:54understand dreams a lot more and I put a chapter about dreams in
- 45:57my first book and that gets a lot of Commons where people are
- 46:00very interested in it and I get questions literally every day
- 46:03from people. I had a dream that I was flying.
- 46:05I had a dream my teeth fall out. What does that mean?
- 46:08I dreamt about my grandmother. I personally have a lot of you
- 46:11know such dreams about my my wife never dreams about her her
- 46:14deceased grandparents, but I have been visited, whatever that
- 46:18means in dreams by them animals seeing people.
- 46:25Wow. Yeah.
- 46:26I don't remember my dreams. I don't.
- 46:28You don't. Remember your dream, no.
- 46:30Ever you never had a dream that. You're very rarely.
- 46:32Maybe on occasion I'll remember a dream for a few minutes.
- 46:35Only parts of it, but for the most part, no.
- 46:37I don't remember my. Dreams when you wake up you.
- 46:38Don't. And by the way, if I do remember
- 46:40my dream, I think nothing of it. I move on.
- 46:42It was just a dream. And never had a dream where you
- 46:43woke up in the morning or she and you're like, wow, you never
- 46:46had that before in your life. Very rarely, and I don't think
- 46:49I'm alone on this. I think most people don't
- 46:51remember their dreams. I don't know.
- 46:52I mean I I have AI, have dreams that I remember not a lot, but I
- 46:55have many. Dreams after your.
- 46:57And then you have questions, you have follow-ups on your dream I.
- 47:00Mean some of them are nerve wracking like Oh my God, I can't
- 47:02believe I just dreamt about that some of them are like odd like
- 47:04how was I in Italy and then I was in Brooklyn like you know
- 47:06like. Not too far because a lot of
- 47:08Italians are in. Brooklyn.
- 47:09That's true, but I'm saying there are some.
- 47:11Yeah. Have you dreamt about your Both
- 47:13your parents have passed on your mother very well.
- 47:15Have they visited you in a dream ever?
- 47:17Not as much as I'd like to, but it's happened more than once,
- 47:20yes. Well, that's just the
- 47:21manifestation of your own subconscious.
- 47:24That's not a real thing. You know, you could be that
- 47:26you're questioning. Do you believe that your mother
- 47:28or father or somebody you know deceased actually visited you?
- 47:32Me personally, yeah. You believe that it was
- 47:34actually. Bad.
- 47:35You believe that? And they came and sent a message
- 47:37to you and they were really talking to you.
- 47:38And well, they never. They were a real part of you.
- 47:40Don't need to speak to you, but they've made me a dream.
- 47:42I get very emotional. Yeah.
- 47:44And now I've heard many stories of many people that have had
- 47:46information that's been related to them in dreams especially.
- 47:50Get ready for this Sephardic woman.
- 47:52When a Sephardic woman calls me up or writes me and says I had a
- 47:54dream about something or someone, I listen.
- 47:57I take it very seriously. Give us an example.
- 48:00What do you what do? You, like some girl told me she
- 48:03came to sit with me and my wife and she had a dream that her
- 48:07grandfather had told us something in a dream.
- 48:10And she basically investigated away and ended up becoming very,
- 48:14very true. And she was able to release some
- 48:16information to someone else that I think you could say save their
- 48:19life based upon what she heard from her grandfather, someone
- 48:22else in her family that she'd never spoken to for a long time.
- 48:26This is common. You'll be surprised how many
- 48:28you'll look common the amount of questions like get a minute it
- 48:31must be. I read this in storybooks.
- 48:33I read this. I there's a there's a Gamora.
- 48:35The Gamora speaks about it. There's.
- 48:36AI believe in the power of dreams.
- 48:38I definitely do believe. I don't believe today it means
- 48:40as much as it used to. Or why would you say meaning?
- 48:42How do you know? It's hard to relate to what it
- 48:44means. I don't believe that we have
- 48:46people that can have the power to translate a dream like they
- 48:48used to. I I had a dream so that Gamora
- 48:52speaks about, if you dream about having a singer snake in your
- 48:55dream, you'll have thoughts. A bad sign, such a very good
- 48:57sign and you're going to make money if you dream that the
- 49:01snake bites you now that is even it means you're going to make a
- 49:05lot of money. But if you dream that you kill
- 49:07the snake in your dream, that's already bad.
- 49:10It means you're losing money. There's a whole Gemara on this
- 49:12in, in in brahat. So I have many people ask these
- 49:15questions. I actually dreamt that I killed
- 49:18the snake in my dream. I saw many people don't kill the
- 49:21snake. Whatever you do, don't kill the
- 49:24snake in your dream. And I dreamt that I go snake and
- 49:27soon after I actually lost a lot of money.
- 49:29It's actually terrible. And it was the money lost was
- 49:32out of my control, like totally out of my control.
- 49:35It was a company that something had happened to it, which
- 49:38happened to invest a little bit of in.
- 49:39Look, I can't prove it to you, but I do know that many people
- 49:42take it very seriously and ask me a lot of questions about
- 49:45stuff they see in the dreams. Animals.
- 49:47My my great uncle was writing a book with his dad and his dad
- 49:52passed away and they couldn't finish the book and he was
- 49:54praying all year for to to get the answer to the finish up the
- 49:58book. And sure enough, his father came
- 50:01to him in a dream and he finished the book in through the
- 50:05dream and everything, everything was recorded and then it was
- 50:08brought to some very, very significant high holy rabbis in
- 50:12Israel who confirmed that what he had given over was accurate.
- 50:16Wow. And it was very interesting
- 50:17documented and I'm sure a lot of these dreams are documented.
- 50:20Yes, especially we believe in the power of dreams.
- 50:23Now not all dreams, some dreams are just your mind kind of
- 50:26process. Of course you saw it.
- 50:28In the day I dreamt about something, but that day I saw a
- 50:31movie and that thing was in it. Then I think it.
- 50:33Then it's almost. A and finally we have Ira
- 50:36Zlotowitz. Ira talks about the concept of
- 50:38letting go and leadership in this amazing clip.
- 50:41Check it out. I think of the king of
- 50:43delegation and it's going to only take the risks sometimes
- 50:47backfired many times. And I don't focus on the losses.
- 50:51I focus on the net. Bottom line.
- 50:53Am I better off because of it or am I not better off because of
- 50:55it? So I could sit here and do a
- 50:56podcast now and be able to be here because the set things up
- 51:02that officially someone else has those questions, those answers.
- 51:05And I find that you have a whole, you know, when I, when I
- 51:08train people to delegate, the concepts about it is that I tell
- 51:12people that no one's perfect. And at the end of the day, if
- 51:16you find somebody, look at it, look at it, you're saving your
- 51:19time. So when I walked into someone
- 51:20who's like a control freak, they can't delegate, they can't do
- 51:23anything. I tell the person, if you had
- 51:25half your day available, how much more money would you make?
- 51:28So it's a number depending where, what position you're in,
- 51:30right? He says, I make 200,000 more a
- 51:32year, $300,000 more a year. Tell a person, go out tomorrow
- 51:35morning and hire someone for $200,000 to be right in.
- 51:38Don't make the mistake and hire someone straight out of school.
- 51:40Of course, you're not going to trust that person.
- 51:41Start with person $200,000, whatever the highest, the most
- 51:44competent person, you know, stuff on the top down, right?
- 51:47The key thing is don't look at their time and their money.
- 51:50Look at yours. So the number one reason why
- 51:52someone doesn't want to delegate, and this flows into
- 51:54why it was easier for me to adapt to AI.
- 51:56Some people have an issue when they view the whole AI world is
- 51:59that I say take a person that's sitting to the right of you.
- 52:03You would do this project. How long is it going to take you
- 52:05an hour and say, but if I delegate out to the person on my
- 52:08right to assist me, I'm not talking about you take out the
- 52:10person on the right, they're not going to do as good as me.
- 52:12It's true. They will never do as good as
- 52:13you. No one will ever do as good as
- 52:14you. But how long would it take you
- 52:16to explain them what to do? They say it doesn't make sense.
- 52:18Take me 25 minutes to explain it.
- 52:20When I get it back, I have to edit these mistakes.
- 52:22There's another 25/20/20 minutes and then that person spending
- 52:25two hours. So 2 hours and 45 minutes.
- 52:27I'll just do it myself for an hour.
- 52:28I said no, you make a mistake because you don't care about
- 52:30their time. Care about your time.
- 52:32You just went from an hour to 45 minutes and the project's
- 52:35perfect. Now you edit it, you started it,
- 52:37right? I guess where could your
- 52:38assistant make a mistake you can't fix?
- 52:40You know, it's like they know they, it's the spiritual
- 52:42questions, like hypothetical question, can God create a rock
- 52:45so heavy you can't pick up right?
- 52:47You know, you could fix any problem.
- 52:48So, but again, if the person is really confident, not the
- 52:51$50,000 employee, you might get that in a person 50,000.
- 52:54We'll talk about that again, where AI changes the competency
- 52:56of a person is what's going to happen the next time you file.
- 53:01Take you 44 minutes and 43 and before you know it, they're
- 53:04going to tell, oh, should we just send it to the last few
- 53:05times before, you know, you're not involved in projects anymore
- 53:07and that's how you're going to grow.
- 53:09But most people really scared to get replaced.
- 53:11The scared of this person to do what do you need for?
- 53:13And that's really the problem. But so I started delegation.
- 53:16I got burnt because of it. But the greatest moves ever
- 53:18become because of it. When you find that right person
- 53:20clicks, you could grow your business, your department, you
- 53:23know, and go crazy at that point.
- 53:25And then some people in their hope, they know everything they
- 53:26could leave me, you know, so there's plenty of lines online
- 53:28about, you know, if you don't train them, what are they worth?
- 53:30And you know, and I look at it that if somebody's good enough
- 53:33to go on their own, probably I'll figure how to make a lot
- 53:36more money staying together. So I used to take a lot of
- 53:38pride, thank God, until I got into my head the clarity that
- 53:42the world is going to change in my mind.
- 53:44I could have been wrong at that time, people wanted to write me
- 53:46off at times like, whoa, he's like losing his mind a little
- 53:48bit. But once I made-up my mind that
- 53:51the future of my business is changing and I can't stay here.
- 53:54My father used to use this this thing all the time.
- 53:57Soon a rocket ship to the moon, right?
- 53:59Unfortunately, I was sitting here while there's unfortunate
- 54:01going on in Israel. So, so they, they don't just
- 54:04shoot for the moon as they're straight up, the Earth rotates,
- 54:08the world moves. So if they're getting an angle
- 54:10that by the time it gets there, it's going to go hit.
- 54:12So it's the same thing. It's like if we're making a
- 54:14decision, where do I think the world and my business is going
- 54:16to change Until I made them the exception of two people, one
- 54:19that had to let go and one that got like a baseball contract,
- 54:22like a $12 million signing bonus by a competitor.
- 54:25No, no broker, no successful broker left like the people who
- 54:29say they left didn't make it left on the way.
- 54:32Successful broke until that point.
- 54:33And then I had a it's a cultural division.
- 54:36I think the mark world's going this way.
- 54:37If you think it's going this way, ride the way with me.
- 54:39You think it's going that way. Some people said I, I think it's
- 54:41going this way also, but I could squeeze out another 2-3 years at
- 54:43all the way. So you know what I mean that
- 54:44type. Of how's it going?
- 54:45That's it. Now on the other side, I thank
- 54:47God and I always thank God everything you know, and I say
- 54:50now going to this market as it opens up, you know, everyone had
- 54:53tough years and everyone the moon was talking, you know, rent
- 54:56to the next level. I I dominate now that the amount
- 54:59of it talking again the last couple of years, I should stay
- 55:01with it for the rest of the night.
- 55:02You know what I mean? Like, don't fall into that.
- 55:04I mean, I mean, how do you get into dating coaching?
- 55:06By the way, I, I. It's not about getting into
- 55:08dating coaching. At the end of the day, it's the
- 55:09same if you bring it down to the same fundamental.
- 55:12All things boil down to some people build businesses around
- 55:15things. I build things business around
- 55:16people. Sure relationships, those
- 55:18relationship people, some understanding people.
- 55:19So I was. Going to say I, I talk to people
- 55:21about relationship building all the time, but when you when you
- 55:23deal with dating, it's a little bit different.
- 55:25So I'll tell you where, I'll tell you where the color is.
- 55:27And you know there's only one someone is.
- 55:30Everyone can have all different talents that show them, gives
- 55:32them. And there's one thing that I'm
- 55:33better than anyone else. And I'll brag about only one
- 55:35thing. There you go.
- 55:36OK, what's the one thing? Because in order for you to do
- 55:39it, you have to do. It's only because of my business
- 55:41nature. I only made money.
- 55:43I was forced into it. It's not the talent you also
- 55:45have the talent is that I only made money when I closed my
- 55:49whole career. So I have to go into I have to
- 55:51realize is this deal going to close and it's not don't take it
- 55:53on. Is this person end up closing
- 55:55making money. OK, one out of six people make
- 55:57it OK. So let me hire if I I have to
- 56:00make sure the ratios all go good because I have no offices.
- 56:02So my whole career is only on the close an attorney.
- 56:04The opposite is only based on the hour.
- 56:06I don't know if I could tell you want to do some research.
- 56:07I charge $500.00 an hour, 200 spectrum.
- 56:10So I'm trained in the art of one thing, how to not waste time.
- 56:14It's the only thing anyone could do that.
- 56:15But there's nothing like when you're forced like you want to
- 56:17learn real estate, I can start teaching it to you.
- 56:19You can hear it. I could train you to play
- 56:21basketball and I mean with the concept dribble, get into the
- 56:23game if you have it. You don't when you have a deal
- 56:25on the table doesn't work. Also, you know, what do you say
- 56:28that service coverage meant again?
- 56:29Now you listen to me. What did you say this each thing
- 56:32item works because now you're for that's all I have.
- 56:35So in every area of life, I realize, like, how do you cut
- 56:38the chase? Like, why are you wasting time?
- 56:39Like, why are you, why are you going on?
- 56:42And it's not, it's not something new there.
- 56:43It's about people. But here's some questions.
- 56:45Sometimes people just want to ask the blunt questions to the
- 56:48thing. So the end of the day, when you
- 56:49you know, because when I realized if you interview
- 56:51everybody that gets married, right when it's all said and
- 56:53done. So obviously, you know, I spend
- 56:55a lot of time asking questions. Also, it's like, I want I have a
- 56:58shit of hat in my mind to come out with because my my end of
- 57:00the movie is I want to sell it to your parents.
- 57:01So you take it public and that's why what what we're going in
- 57:05now. You know, when I came to raise
- 57:07money in the beginning, so it's OK.
- 57:08It was a hype. Was there the business to go up?
- 57:09People like questions. Now it's the end of the movie.
- 57:11They seen the business take off and they say, wow, this is a
- 57:13good time to invest. Yeah, you come at the end of the
- 57:15movie. You can come in, but I plan on
- 57:17taking it public. That's the goal.
- 57:18It could blow up. Also.
- 57:19What am I doing with the money? I want to build the one Jewish
- 57:23app to clause wrong. How come there's not one app
- 57:25from cradle to grief? So I did go dive in.
- 57:28A memory of my father track down the doctor built it.
- 57:30We did go dive in. I want to come with the shuttle
- 57:32app. If you think about it, why these
- 57:34all these campaigns? I don't want to name a company
- 57:36that sends you out things for your kids to Shiva.
- 57:38They raise money. Why isn't why is that a business
- 57:41shouldn't to be an organization that has that built and gives it
- 57:44everyone for free? Doesn't make sense to think
- 57:45about it. Why are the things like these
- 57:47these these foundations, these donor fund type places that
- 57:50should be a a Jewish. It should be part of a non like
- 57:54the next generation of 1B Coholem.
- 57:56Why isn't that 1F every B Cohollum?
- 57:58Why isn't one FFA Javerian throughout the whole world?
- 58:01I said if someone got opened up an Uber for they should have.
- 58:03All these different things should exist on the one.
- 58:04That's my vision. My Father's word has written
- 58:06written words forever and I want to go eternity technologies for
- 58:10eternity.
