Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: So I'm in a little bit of a dilemma. And
- 0:02Speaker 1: I feel like I made the decision already. But so
- 0:05Speaker 1: it involves Ella Langley. So she is all over the
- 0:08Speaker 1: news right now, first of all, because she broke like
- 0:11Speaker 1: the what she's got the longest running number one song
- 0:13Speaker 1: in U.S. history.
- 0:14Speaker 2: She beat Mariah Carey, which is amazing.
- 0:17Speaker 1: And in fact, so she posted on her Instagram this
- 0:20Speaker 1: right here when she found out this is what happened.
- 0:23Speaker 3: What?
- 0:23Speaker 4: What?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 0:25Speaker 5: Thank you for loving this song, for listening to it.
- 0:28Speaker 5: I just don't even know what to say at this point.
- 0:30Speaker 5: It's changing my life. It's changing lives of the writers
- 0:32Speaker 5: of this song. It's changing lives of my family. And
- 0:36Speaker 5: it is truly growing an atmosphere for something I'm going
- 0:41Speaker 5: to be able to do the rest of my life.
- 0:42Speaker 5: And I'm going to go out and celebrate tonight. And
- 0:45Speaker 5: I'm really excited to experience a moment like this in
- 0:48Speaker 5: my life. I don't know how else to say it.
- 0:50Speaker 5: Just thank you so much. And cheese and tea.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Wow.
- 0:54Speaker 6: That's the one.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Oh, Choosing Tea.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Choosing Tea.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Oh, it's my wife. Because I like coffee, she chooses tea.
- 1:01Speaker 3: What a crazy accomplishment to have that song be number
- 1:04Speaker 3: one for so many weeks. It's nuts.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yeah. So the Mariah Carey song, I mean, it's just legendary, right?
- 1:09Speaker 2: All I want for Christmas is you. I mean, like,
- 1:12Speaker 2: is there a better song?
- 1:13Speaker 1: So I know Choosing Texas. I know that song. In fact,
- 1:17Speaker 1: that's one of those songs that, like, it's in my
- 1:19Speaker 1: head all day, right? All day. So here's what happened.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I got invited to go to her concert.
- 1:25Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 1:26Speaker 1: In Los Angeles.
- 1:27Speaker 2: That's even more cool.
- 1:29Speaker 1: And normally I get invited to go to places, especially
- 1:33Speaker 1: a concert or a sporting event. I don't really want
- 1:35Speaker 1: to go. We are aware.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I actually, and this is what I'm trying to share
- 1:40Speaker 1: with you guys is some sort of, if it's maturity
- 1:43Speaker 1: or I'm trying to be different about certain things. So
- 1:47Speaker 1: the people that invited me, my wife and I to
- 1:50Speaker 1: go to the concert, I really enjoy these people. I
- 1:52Speaker 1: enjoy spending time with them a lot. And I've never
- 1:55Speaker 1: had that before.
- 1:56Speaker 3: That is different.
- 1:57Speaker 2: That sounds new.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I've never heard you say that one time. I really
- 2:00Speaker 3: enjoy being with these people.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And I think they enjoy spending time with us, right?
- 2:06Speaker 1: We go to dinner all the time. We do stuff together.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I do stuff with the guy all the time. I
- 2:09Speaker 1: go hiking with the guy. I love this. I love
- 2:10Speaker 1: this couple. And here's my dilemma is when I go
- 2:15Speaker 1: to a concert, I'm not a fun person. Do you
- 2:18Speaker 1: know what I mean? I'm not drinking and dancing around.
- 2:21Speaker 1: You're just sitting the whole time.
- 2:22Speaker 3: He's looking for his out.
- 2:23Speaker 1: No, no, no. I will be staring at the guitar player.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I'm staring at the singer. I'm watching behind the scenes.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm not shaking my butt and dancing around. And my
- 2:32Speaker 1: dilemma is if I say yes and go to this
- 2:35Speaker 1: concert and I'm at the concert and I don't show
- 2:38Speaker 1: them that I'm having a good time, is that going
- 2:40Speaker 1: to ruin our friendship? Because I've said before, I don't
- 2:43Speaker 1: think I'm a very good friend. And I don't know
- 2:45Speaker 1: so many friend rules. So I feel like I shouldn't
- 2:51Speaker 1: go because I might ruin their experience. Does that make sense? Yeah,
- 2:57Speaker 1: they're huge. They're going to.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Be singing every word. And they're going to be like, look.
- 3:02Speaker 7: At this buzzkill.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Choose in Texas, I can tell.
- 3:04Speaker 3: And you're like.
- 3:05Speaker 1: No, I'll know the Choose in Texas one. It's her
- 3:07Speaker 1: other songs I won't know. I hope she has, you know,
- 3:09Speaker 1: Choose in Arizona, Choose in Arkansas, Choose in Mississippi. I
- 3:12Speaker 1: don't know what else she has, but I'm going to
- 3:13Speaker 1: be like. So do you get my dilemma? Yeah. Like,
- 3:16Speaker 1: am I going to ruin their experience? And are they
- 3:18Speaker 1: going to go, these guys are fuddy-duddies. You're dinner fun,
- 3:21Speaker 1: but are you concert fun? Yeah, I know I'm not
- 3:24Speaker 1: concert fun. I know I'm not concert fun. I can
- 3:27Speaker 1: stand in the front row of Taylor Swift and I
- 3:30Speaker 1: would just be staring.
- 3:32Speaker 3: She might stop down the show and go, hey, you're
- 3:34Speaker 3: crushing my vibe. Yeah, exactly. There might be part.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Of them, I think, that may go, why do we
- 3:39Speaker 2: invite them?
- 3:40Speaker 1: That's exactly what I'm getting at. Is this going to ruin?
- 3:45Speaker 7: Next time they have a dinner thing, they're not going
- 3:46Speaker 7: to invite you because they've had the proof that you
- 3:48Speaker 7: guys are fun at dinner.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's a serious, stupid dilemma that is in my head now.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And like my wife last night was like, hey, are
- 3:57Speaker 1: we going to go to this? And I'm like, yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 1: I want to go to it. And then I thought,
- 4:01Speaker 1: I don't want to. I want them to know that
- 4:05Speaker 1: I'm not going for the concert. I'm going to be
- 4:07Speaker 1: with them.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Right.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 4:09Speaker 1: But also, I don't think you say that to people.
- 4:11Speaker 3: No, for sure.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Especially if they're inviting you to a concert, like they
- 4:14Speaker 6: want you to enjoy the experience with them.
- 4:16Speaker 1: But they also got to know that I've been to
- 4:19Speaker 1: a billion concerts. Like I don't. want to ever go
- 4:23Speaker 1: to another concert again for the rest of my life. Like,
- 4:25Speaker 1: that's what I'm trying to tell you guys. I don't
- 4:28Speaker 1: want to go to a concert, but I enjoy being
- 4:29Speaker 1: with them and they're so much fun, but they drink
- 4:31Speaker 1: and they party, they dance. And I'm going to be
- 4:32Speaker 1: standing there like, Oh, look at you guys. I'm going
- 4:35Speaker 1: to try. I'm going to be like fake dancing.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 3: What's going to happen?
- 4:38Speaker 1: I'm going to dance like Trump. You know the way
- 4:40Speaker 1: Trump dances? I'll be like, Oh, what's he do? He
- 4:42Speaker 1: does this. Oh, he points. He does.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I'll be like, what's going to happen there. They're all drinking,
- 4:46Speaker 3: having a good time dancing. And they look over at
- 4:49Speaker 3: you as you're just standing there. Come on, get up
- 4:51Speaker 3: and dance with the... What's going to happen then? That moment.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Because you've got to do it.
- 4:55Speaker 3: That moment. I know, I will.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Get off your seat.
- 4:58Speaker 6: I know, I will.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Anyway, we're going to play Minute to Win, and we
- 5:01Speaker 1: need a contestant.
- 5:03Speaker 4: 877-937-1047.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Do you have the Choose in Texas hook? Did you
- 5:05Speaker 1: say you had it? Oh, I thought you said you
- 5:07Speaker 1: might have had that.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Not off the top of my head.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Oh, no. Okay. I might have it, too. Do we
- 5:10Speaker 1: have it? The hook? I can find the song. Just
- 5:13Speaker 1: so you know the Choose in Texas song.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I have her. I've got the blue volleyball of Hold On.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Let me see. I don't even know how to spell choosing.
- 5:27Speaker 2: C-H-O-S-I-N.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Apostrophe.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Wow, it didn't come up. I threw it up on
- 5:35Speaker 1: the button. Oh, you did? Okay. There it is. So
- 5:40Speaker 1: just in case you don't know the Choose Texas line,
- 5:42Speaker 1: which you should.
- 5:42Speaker 4: It doesn't take a crystal ball to see. A cowboy
- 5:47Speaker 4: always finds a way. He's choosing Texas, I can tell.
- 5:59Speaker 1: That's such a good song.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 6:01Speaker 1: All right, we're going to play Minute to Win It.
- 6:03Speaker 1: We got $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money. By the way, yesterday,
- 6:07Speaker 1: two things. We dropped a second date update. It's on
- 6:09Speaker 1: our podcast, if you missed second date update. And if
- 6:11Speaker 1: you want it directly sent to your phone, go to
- 6:14Speaker 1: our Instagram. And there's a video up there. You just
- 6:17Speaker 1: type in the word date and we'll send it to
- 6:18Speaker 1: your phone. There is a text that says, Oh, my God.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Second date update is on YouTube. Uncensored. I'm so excited.
- 6:32Speaker 1: So that's so stated. Go to YouTube. Search John Jay
- 6:36Speaker 1: and Rich and follow and subscribe to John Jay and
- 6:38Speaker 1: Rich YouTube channel. And you can see the whole thing happening.
- 6:42Speaker 1: All of us in the studio doing it and live
- 6:45Speaker 1: and the cuss words and everything because we can put
- 6:46Speaker 1: the cuss words on. If there were cuss words, I
- 6:48Speaker 1: wonder what happened. Oh, was it dirty? I can't remember
- 6:52Speaker 1: why they were so excited it was uncensored. There might
- 6:54Speaker 1: have been a couple of.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Why does yesterday feel so long ago?
- 6:57Speaker 3: It might have been a couple. It's the director's cut
- 7:02Speaker 3: of the second date update.
- 7:03Speaker 1: The whole part of second date update was posted on
- 7:06Speaker 1: YouTube uncensored. Thank you. I'm like, okay. I'm trying to
- 7:08Speaker 1: remember what was the censored part. Anyway. All right. James,
- 7:12Speaker 1: good morning. Good morning. All right, James, you are our
- 7:16Speaker 1: contestant for a minute to win it. Let's do this.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Where are you? What part of town? I think it's
- 7:21Speaker 1: important to know where you are.
- 7:23Speaker 4: I'm in Phoenix, right on 36th and Thomas.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Oh, 36th Street or 36th Ave?
- 7:33Speaker 4: Street.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I said way from the Ave's.
- 7:37Speaker 3: She's very close to us right now.
- 7:39Speaker 2: All right.
- 7:39Speaker 1: All right. Good luck, man.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Here you go.
- 7:42Speaker 7: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from

- 7:53Speaker 3: Let's go. What pop star played Elphaba in the movie Wicked?
- 7:57Speaker 1: Wicked, Wicked.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Oh, my goodness.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Elphaba, Wicked, Wicked, Wicked, Wicked. That's right. Oh, my goodness.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Pop star.
- 8:17Speaker 4: What's her name?
- 8:18Speaker 1: Ariana Grande?
- 8:20Speaker 3: That is correct. That's not correct. Oh, that's right. That
- 8:24Speaker 3: isn't correct.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Cynthia Erivo is a pop star, though. I was very
- 8:30Speaker 2: confused with that question. I feel like you've got.
- 8:33Speaker 1: To give him another chance with that question.
- 8:35Speaker 7: I was like, there's going to be a lot of
- 8:38Speaker 7: backlash on this one.
- 8:42Speaker 3: You know what?
- 8:42Speaker 2: That's not on you.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I'll tell you what. That's not on you. I'm going
- 8:45Speaker 3: to give you another chance. You want to go? Yes,
- 8:46Speaker 3: let's do it. You want to go?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Oh, let's go.
- 8:49Speaker 3: All right, let's go. All right. What 2009 comedy follows
- 8:52Speaker 3: a bachelor party gone terribly wrong in Las Vegas?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Oh, Hangover.
- 8:58Speaker 3: This insect bug is known for being organized and can
- 9:02Speaker 3: lift up to 50 times its own body weight.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Oh, um, um, uh.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Oh, Ants? What U.S. city is known as the Big Easy?
- 9:17Speaker 4: Big Easy, Big Easy, Big Easy.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Big Easy. Oh, my goodness. I'm lost. I'm going to
- 9:28Speaker 1: have to say Atlanta. I don't know.
- 9:34Speaker 3: New Orleans, the Big Easy.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Oh, my God, and I'm from New Orleans. What?
- 9:39Speaker 3: Are you kidding me, James?
- 9:41Speaker 6: Are you kidding me?
- 9:45Speaker 1: God dang it. Oh, my goodness.
- 9:47Speaker 6: That's how you know when the pressure gets to you.
- 9:51Speaker 6: The Big Easy.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Where have I heard that from?
- 9:53Speaker 6: Okay, thank you guys so much.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Hold on, James. We're gonna set you up with a
- 10:00Speaker 1: del taco gift card man okay thanks for listening.
- 10:04Speaker 6: No thank you guys.
- 10:06Speaker 1: So we are like 25 minutes away from free disneyland
- 10:11Speaker 1: tickets we also got kanye tickets in less than an
- 10:13Speaker 1: hour we also got public enemy tickets we're going to
- 10:15Speaker 1: throw around there too um I have to, because on
- 10:18Speaker 1: Friday we do New Music Friday, right? And I think
- 10:21Speaker 1: the biggest thing is going to be the Taylor Swift
- 10:22Speaker 1: new song. Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Four new songs.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and so I feel like there's another album coming
- 10:28Speaker 1: out that's going to get thrown under the table that
- 10:30Speaker 1: no one's going to remember. So I thought I'd highlight
- 10:32Speaker 1: it today, whether you guys saw it or not. But
- 10:37Speaker 1: Wendy's the restaurant. Did you see this? Wendy's the restaurant
- 10:41Speaker 1: is releasing an emo album. Oh, it's today.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Oh, I saw the cover photo.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yeah. It's a six song track list on their Instagram story.
- 10:49Speaker 1: These are the, this is Wendy's the restaurant. These are
- 10:51Speaker 1: the names of the songs. She said she didn't want fries. Parentheses.
- 10:55Speaker 1: She lied. Salt in the wound. Oh, good. Good.
- 11:01Speaker 3: That's a good emo title.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I miss the sunroom. the best combo meal on the
- 11:07Speaker 1: worst night of my life. It's not a phase. It's
- 11:11Speaker 1: a 10 piece. And the last track on the album
- 11:14Speaker 1: is Mr. Frosty's funeral funeral. It's unclear. This will hit Spotify,
- 11:19Speaker 1: Apple music, or sold on a CD or an iHeart
- 11:21Speaker 1: app or just at Wendy's. Uh, anyway, so it is
- 11:25Speaker 1: the Wendy's emo album.
- 11:26Speaker 7: I wonder if they originally had it planned for Friday,
- 11:29Speaker 7: but with the Taylor Swift news, they're like, we got
- 11:31Speaker 7: to move this up.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Just put it out there today.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Exactly. Exactly. I wonder, let me see if you go
- 11:34Speaker 1: to the Wendy's or.
- 11:35Speaker 6: Yeah, the cover photo is like really funny because it's
- 11:38Speaker 6: a lot like, she's like a lot like moodier and
- 11:41Speaker 6: she has the bangs across her eye. And then the
- 11:43Speaker 6: caption was, it's not a phase.
- 11:45Speaker 2: But I didn't know it was going to actually be
- 11:47Speaker 2: an album. That's so funny.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Let's see. Oh, full album out now. Right on. And
- 11:54Speaker 1: it's like, Oh, it's on Spotify, Apple Music. It's everywhere.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Let me see.
- 12:00Speaker 3: That's a commitment.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I wonder who's the person. She said she didn't want
- 12:03Speaker 1: fries with that. Whoops, I hit it twice. Not bad.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Sounds like producer Nick Music.
- 12:20Speaker 1: He loves that.
- 12:25Speaker 3: I hope that's not AI. I hope they got a
- 12:27Speaker 3: real band.
- 12:29Speaker 1: It says featuring Maddie Mullins and the Memphis Mayfire. So
- 12:33Speaker 1: I guess they're real artists.
- 12:34Speaker 3: That's pretty good. I don't hate it. I think it
- 12:36Speaker 3: sounds good.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Okay, Wendy's.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Right? Anyway, so just like... By the way, also, I think...
- 12:41Speaker 1: I was wondering if Taylor Swift, she's... You know, we
- 12:44Speaker 1: know the soft side of her, the really nice side
- 12:45Speaker 1: of her. And I thought, what if she's literally... competitive
- 12:50Speaker 1: with ella langley because ella langley beat mariah carey and
- 12:53Speaker 1: taylor swift wants that title she has every other title
- 12:57Speaker 1: what if she's like i'm dropping an album.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Friday so if she has her album come out again
- 13:02Speaker 3: and it's an encore it can be on the charts
- 13:04Speaker 3: longer than anything else is here.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Yeah something like they like she's just like there's no
- 13:08Speaker 1: way like behind the scenes they're probably like hey just
- 13:11Speaker 1: to let you know that ella langley's song is going
- 13:14Speaker 1: to be number one it'll be break mariah carey's record
- 13:16Speaker 1: next week that's what's happening she's like what then we're
- 13:19Speaker 1: going to drop those songs we taped in Sweden.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Like, I wonder, just wondering.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Anyway. A couple things we're going to get into. We're
- 13:27Speaker 1: going to get into the friendship thing or the couples thing.
- 13:29Speaker 1: What do you want to get into, Kyle?
- 13:30Speaker 2: Either one. I think they both great. What do people
- 13:32Speaker 2: like more, friends or people that are friends?
- 13:34Speaker 1: Well, since I was just talking about friendship, let's do
- 13:35Speaker 1: the friendship one. Okay.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Right now?
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yeah, no, right now. Let's do a little setup. Do
- 13:39Speaker 1: a little setup for it.
- 13:40Speaker 7: So I feel like everyone kind of understands that there's
- 13:43Speaker 7: like social media has had almost come full circle. It's
- 13:45Speaker 7: like when it came out, everyone thought it like connected
- 13:47Speaker 7: people more, right?
- 13:48Speaker 2: And then now.
- 13:49Speaker 7: It's like, does it really connect us the way we
- 13:52Speaker 7: thought originally? Or is it kind of like a fake friendship?
- 13:57Speaker 7: So they did this study. And they actually found that
- 14:00Speaker 7: social media doesn't really replace the emotional support people get
- 14:02Speaker 7: from real life friendships. But a lot of people interact
- 14:05Speaker 7: on social media and feel that they're being a good friend.
- 14:09Speaker 7: So they came out with a bunch of things that
- 14:11Speaker 7: we do that feel like friendship, but probably really aren't.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Like you feel like you're doing enough, but it's really not.
- 14:18Speaker 7: So sending memes instead of actually calling or physically texting
- 14:21Speaker 7: your friend, not really being a friend.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:24Speaker 2: It may connect you.
- 14:25Speaker 7: You may have something to talk about the next time,
- 14:28Speaker 7: but just sending memes back and forth.
- 14:30Speaker 2: That's not really friendship.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I have like four or five friends. That's all we do.
- 14:34Speaker 4: I know.
- 14:34Speaker 1: In fact, some of my, the friends I've made are like,
- 14:37Speaker 1: I've never met them in person. They're just people you
- 14:40Speaker 1: send memes to back and forth. Right.
- 14:42Speaker 7: So then they also say like watching someone's stories and
- 14:45Speaker 7: then you feel like you've caught up with them, but
- 14:47Speaker 7: you haven't really.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I guess that makes sense.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Maybe they put something on.
- 14:50Speaker 7: Their stories because they're at a work event, but you
- 14:53Speaker 7: don't necessarily know it's a work event, but that's not
- 14:55Speaker 7: really catching up with their life and finding out how
- 14:57Speaker 7: they're actually doing. Liking a birthday post instead of texting
- 15:01Speaker 7: or even commenting on the birthday post instead of actually
- 15:04Speaker 7: texting or calling.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Not the same thing. You're not making a connection that way.
- 15:09Speaker 7: They say being in a group chat but never seeing
- 15:12Speaker 7: each other is also not as much of a friend thing.
- 15:16Speaker 7: Like you guys are all like, we should totally do this.
- 15:19Speaker 7: That's not really connecting. So on social media, you feel
- 15:24Speaker 7: like you know everything that happens in someone's life.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Because you're like, oh my gosh, yeah, they posted this,
- 15:29Speaker 2: this and this.
- 15:30Speaker 7: But that's really not friendship. That's really not connection because
- 15:34Speaker 7: they're showing you the highlight reel. So your friend may
- 15:36Speaker 7: actually be going through something really difficult or a hard time,
- 15:39Speaker 7: but they're not necessarily maybe going to post that. So
- 15:42Speaker 7: you're not really being a good friend by feeling like
- 15:44Speaker 7: you know what's going on in their life just because
- 15:45Speaker 7: you've been.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Looking at them.
- 15:46Speaker 1: So you've got to call them or go visit them
- 15:48Speaker 1: or make a lunch to be. Because that's another thing.
- 15:50Speaker 1: All these people that live to be 100 and something
- 15:52Speaker 1: years old, one of the common things they all have
- 15:54Speaker 1: is they have these social circles where they all go
- 15:56Speaker 1: out and they do stuff.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Right? So not just social media. Do it in person.
- 16:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:00Speaker 2: And it's been scientifically proven.
- 16:02Speaker 7: Human connection is so important for your actual well-being and
- 16:05Speaker 7: your mental health. And so the last thing they have
- 16:08Speaker 7: on this list is just assuming your friends are okay
- 16:10Speaker 7: because they're posting.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Well, you're posting. You look like you're having a great
- 16:13Speaker 2: time in your life. Obviously you're doing great.
- 16:15Speaker 7: But like I just said, you never know what's going
- 16:18Speaker 7: on behind the screen.
- 16:18Speaker 2: So you have to kind of like really check in.
- 16:21Speaker 1: You know what I heard too? You know how when
- 16:23Speaker 1: something happens in someone's life and you go, well, if
- 16:24Speaker 1: you ever, hey, you call them. If you ever need anything,
- 16:27Speaker 1: just let me know. I'm here for you. I've read
- 16:29Speaker 1: this thing about how that's a horrible thing to do.
- 16:32Speaker 2: I know.
- 16:32Speaker 7: Because most people have a hard time asking for help.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Because now you're putting the pressure on them to ask you.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:38Speaker 1: So the guy that I was reading the article about
- 16:40Speaker 1: said that if that happens, do the thing. Don't ask.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Do the thing. Be like... I'm bringing by dinner. Yeah. Hey,
- 16:48Speaker 1: if you ever need dinner or you need help, just
- 16:50Speaker 1: do it. Right? Even if someone else already did it,
- 16:52Speaker 1: just do it. If you're going through something, I'm bringing
- 16:53Speaker 1: by dinner. Because I remember when... I think it was
- 16:55Speaker 1: when my mom died. I think. I remember... It could
- 16:57Speaker 1: have been when my mom died. But he's now currently
- 17:00Speaker 1: the head coach of UNLV basketball, Josh Pastner. He said
- 17:04Speaker 1: to me, man, if you ever need anything, let me know.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I said, you know, I'd like a green tea. And
- 17:11Speaker 1: he never brought.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Me a green tea. He never did? I brought it
- 17:14Speaker 3: up all the time.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I was like, hey, well, where's my green tea? You
- 17:16Speaker 1: said you didn't need anything. Let me know. And I'm like, oh,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I want my green tea.
- 17:20Speaker 3: What was his reason for not doing it?
- 17:21Speaker 1: I don't know. I just remember putting him on the spot.
- 17:23Speaker 1: He's like, um, um, um.
- 17:24Speaker 3: It seems like he would be right on the spot
- 17:26Speaker 3: for that. He would be the guy to go get
- 17:28Speaker 3: that green tea.
- 17:28Speaker 1: It was something tragic. And I was like, yeah.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Rude.
- 17:31Speaker 1: You say, what do you need? Let me know. And
- 17:33Speaker 1: he never brought it.
