Remembering Corporal Toal's Sacrifice | Odessa News
Corporal G.T. Toal of the Odessa Police Department gave his life in 1982 during a tragic motorcycle accident while on duty — a sobering reminder of the daily risks officers face. His memory was honored this week with a wreath-laying ceremony at the police memorial, bringing together officers, staff, and community members to pay tribute. The wreath will remain on display outside the department until sunset today — a chance for anyone nearby to pause and reflect on his sacrifice and enduring service.
