- 0:18Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Gateleapers, the pop culture game show
- 0:21Speaker 1: that shines a spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your
- 0:25Speaker 1: games master and man who is holding your master's hostage
- 0:29Speaker 1: Matt Scooter Watson can't imagine being forty three and called
- 0:34Speaker 1: Scooter that's so funny. But a games master needs games,
- 0:39Speaker 1: and games need players, so please welcome first. She is
- 0:43Speaker 1: a fiber artist and Gatesleapers cast member who can be
- 0:46Speaker 1: found at Half Double Dose and on Insta Crafting makes.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You'd find pictured in the sleeve notes of Evermore. It's
- 0:52Speaker 1: Jen Reagan Ah.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Thanks for the introduction, Matt, glad to be here.
- 0:57Speaker 1: And she's a writer, poet and voice act. To find
- 1:00Speaker 1: her at Mery Happy Too. On Insta she's making her
- 1:03Speaker 1: Gates Leaper's debut, which I guess makes herself titled. It's
- 1:07Speaker 1: Joe Stratman. Hi, Hello, Hello to you both. Welcome as always, Jen,
- 1:13Speaker 1: Welcome for the first time. Joe, How are you both good?
- 1:16Speaker 3: Too?
- 1:17Speaker 4: Good?
- 1:18Speaker 1: Nice? Nice? Got cozy coffee mugs in hand, both of you.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I love that aesthetic. That's great, yep.
- 1:23Speaker 5: I like breaking that fourth wall. It's a Saturday morning
- 1:26Speaker 5: when Matt makes us record so caffeine eight while we go.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yes, I'll have the energy of like it's a Saturday night,
- 1:35Speaker 1: but this is very much a lovely, cozy Saturday morning.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Okay, Well, we're here to chat about one of the
- 1:42Speaker 1: biggest fandoms of the last few years. So I've got
- 1:45Speaker 1: to ask right up top, and we'll start with you, Jen,
- 1:47Speaker 1: how big of a Swifty are you?
- 1:50Speaker 5: So, even by putting the label, it's an interesting conversation,
- 1:54Speaker 5: but pretty pretty big as early to how embedded best
- 2:01Speaker 5: woman's discography has been in my childhood to now as
- 2:08Speaker 5: an almost thirty year old, so she's always been around.
- 2:12Speaker 2: So one of those habits I can't quite shake.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't quite shake it off?
- 2:18Speaker 2: Shake it off?
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:20Speaker 1: Get do I get points for that?
- 2:25Speaker 4: Maybe maybe we'll see, we'll see.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Well, that's good, it's it's good that you're a fan,
- 2:30Speaker 1: Jen and Joe. How about yourself? You you're a fan
- 2:31Speaker 1: of Taylor Swift.
- 2:33Speaker 6: I have had a tumultuous relationship with missus Taylor Ellison Swift.
- 2:38Speaker 7: For a long time.
- 2:41Speaker 6: I started listening to her when she first came out
- 2:43Speaker 6: and then uh, she lost me during reputation because I
- 2:46Speaker 6: was in a bad part of my life and then
- 2:50Speaker 6: I didn't listen to everymore or folklore, and then I
- 2:54Speaker 6: came back in with Midnights and like Jen physically saw
- 2:59Speaker 6: me experience with Nights pretty much in Florida, and that
- 3:05Speaker 6: was like the rebirth of my love for her, and
- 3:07Speaker 6: now I just can't get enough for her and I'm obsessed.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Nice. Nice, Yeah, that's that's good. I feel like that's
- 3:14Speaker 1: a very familiar Taylor Swift story of like being especially
- 3:18Speaker 1: for young millennials, of it being like in there at
- 3:20Speaker 1: the beginning and then kind of like dipping out a
- 3:23Speaker 1: little bit and then coming back with the sort of
- 3:25Speaker 1: latest resurgence of Taylor Swift. But yeah, Midnights was it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I mean, I don't want to dive into like personal
- 3:33Speaker 1: life and how it connects to things, but I imagine
- 3:35Speaker 1: Jen experiencing a listening party of Midnights, Well imagine it
- 3:40Speaker 1: was emotional.
- 3:41Speaker 6: Jen and I and our other friend Katie listened to
- 3:44Speaker 6: nineteen eighty nine together when it came out.
- 3:47Speaker 7: We got the CD.
- 3:48Speaker 6: We drove my dad's truck to a park in Springfield,
- 3:51Speaker 6: Good and we.
- 3:52Speaker 7: Listened to the album top to bottom.
- 3:55Speaker 6: And we were going on a Disney trip together when
- 3:59Speaker 6: Midnights came out and we'd all kind of listened to
- 4:01Speaker 6: it already, but like, that's all we listened to the
- 4:03Speaker 6: entire time we were down there, and it was just like,
- 4:07Speaker 6: I don't know what it was, but going to Disney,
- 4:09Speaker 6: and on top of that, experiencing Taylor Swift in like
- 4:12Speaker 6: real time.
- 4:14Speaker 7: Just blew my mind and everything felt.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Better, Everything felt okay for a little bit, and I
- 4:21Speaker 6: was like, this is good.
- 4:22Speaker 7: Everything's fine.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Yes, I have a community around me. Yeah, that's so good.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Like, it's amazing how music has the power to do that,
- 4:34Speaker 1: especially connecting with fellow fans. And I think, like with
- 4:38Speaker 1: all the tabloid stuff with Taylor Swift, it's easy to
- 4:40Speaker 1: get caught up in the celebrity aspect, but really for
- 4:42Speaker 1: most fans, it's all about the music. It's about that
- 4:44Speaker 1: powerful discography of a lot a lot of different albums,
- 4:48Speaker 1: a lot of different messages. Yeah, so it's good that
- 4:51Speaker 1: it can do that at different stages and eras of
- 4:54Speaker 1: your life. There's another reference. Okay, well, Jen Joe, thanks
- 4:58Speaker 1: for being here, But you will need some opponents because
- 5:01Speaker 1: we're playing some games. I have it written down here
- 5:03Speaker 1: that that's what will be happy. She is our og captain,
- 5:08Speaker 1: a podcaster who works in STEM twenty twenty four has
- 5:11Speaker 1: been her villain era, but today let's call it something
- 5:14Speaker 1: of a reputation. It's Audra Stevenson. Hello, that is me,
- 5:19Speaker 1: that is you, and they are an actor, voice artist
- 5:23Speaker 1: and podcaster who you can hear on Ultra Hope Girls,
- 5:25Speaker 1: a gaming podcast in our eyes. She's truly fearless. It's
- 5:30Speaker 1: Caroline Rueila Hello, Hello, Hello, welcome back, Caroline, Welcome as always, Audra,
- 5:36Speaker 1: how are you both doing.
- 5:37Speaker 4: I'm having a great.
- 5:38Speaker 8: Time, really well, so excited to be here. Honestly, I'm
- 5:43Speaker 8: so stoked for this episode.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Lovely stuff, glad to hear it. Yeah, this one's been
- 5:49Speaker 1: a long time coming. We've shall we mention the classic
- 5:52Speaker 1: Taylor Swift. What comes with Taylor Swift comes with a
- 5:55Speaker 1: bit drama. We've tried to record this episode about three times,
- 5:58Speaker 1: I think, and it has finally happened at the right time.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Yes, all things come together, exactly true, Yes, exactly absolutely.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Okay, Well I'll ask the same question to you both.
- 6:09Speaker 1: We'll start with you, Caroline. How how big of a
- 6:11Speaker 1: Taylor Swift final are you?
- 6:13Speaker 8: I would say I'm a pretty big Taylor Swift fan.
- 6:16Speaker 8: It's hard because I feel like now it's become this
- 6:19Speaker 8: like competition of like who knows the most, who knows
- 6:22Speaker 8: every word to every song? But my love and my
- 6:25Speaker 8: heart for the music, specifically her music and her lyrics
- 6:29Speaker 8: is very deep and strong, and like Joe and Jen,
- 6:33Speaker 8: I've been listening since the Name album came out, and
- 6:36Speaker 8: I remember where I was when I listened to it
- 6:38Speaker 8: for the first time. And I also fell off Taylor
- 6:42Speaker 8: during reputation, but then I watched Miss Americana on Netflix
- 6:47Speaker 8: and that made me fall in love with her again
- 6:50Speaker 8: right after. So it was a short break in our relationship,
- 6:53Speaker 8: me and Taylor Swift, but then we came back and
- 6:55Speaker 8: now we're stronger than ever. However, this is my be
- 7:00Speaker 8: a hot takee, but Tortured Poet's Department might make me
- 7:02Speaker 8: also have a little bit of a breakup with Taylor.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Swift's that's strong.
- 7:10Speaker 8: But I'm someone who I'm you know, I love her
- 7:13Speaker 8: music so much, but I am critical of you know,
- 7:16Speaker 8: I'm critical of her because I love her. I think
- 7:18Speaker 8: I know she can do better anyway, Yeah, sorry, Joe, Like,
- 7:22Speaker 8: oh oh.
- 7:24Speaker 4: I.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Love that you drop that grenade so early on this
- 7:29Speaker 1: that's fantastic.
- 7:29Speaker 8: I'm crazy, but no, but yeah, but I would say
- 7:34Speaker 8: I'm a pretty big fan.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Nice yeah, nice, No, it's I mean, it's always good
- 7:38Speaker 1: to be critical of the artists we love on a
- 7:41Speaker 1: on a main stage, especially when they're so successful, so massive,
- 7:45Speaker 1: so ubiquitous. It sort of it honestly rounds the mountain,
- 7:48Speaker 1: bounces them mount and makes them more humid at the
- 7:50Speaker 1: end of the day when you can critique. So yeah, yeah,
- 7:54Speaker 1: that's that's good stuff. Glad you're a fan, Caroline, because
- 7:57Speaker 1: I think you might need to help out your team.
- 8:00Speaker 4: I'm so sorry we true you a swifty. I was
- 8:04Speaker 4: going to say yes, but then I can't back it up,
- 8:08Speaker 4: and I just think it would be worse if I
- 8:10Speaker 4: tried to pretend I did listen to a solid amount
- 8:14Speaker 4: of Taylor Swift through high school. I was from a
- 8:16Speaker 4: country town. I was a cheerleader from a country town.
- 8:20Speaker 4: So it was this weird dichotomy of like it was
- 8:24Speaker 4: Taylor Swift and like pop punk is just what the
- 8:29Speaker 4: people in my surroundings were into. Midwest emo is like
- 8:38Speaker 4: a lot of heart.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It's like a lot of heart all at once, all right.
- 8:43Speaker 4: There on your sleeve. The whole time, top to bottom.
- 8:46Speaker 4: So I do connect to that pretty deeply. I have
- 8:49Speaker 4: had a general passing knowledge of Taylor Swift. You can't
- 8:53Speaker 4: not have a passing knowledge of Taylor Swift, especially since
- 8:56Speaker 4: so many people who I'm so close to and who
- 8:58Speaker 4: mean so much to me really do love Taylor Swift.
- 9:01Speaker 4: And so I've kept I've kept a passing knowledge, okay,
- 9:05Speaker 4: of Taylor Swift.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Hey, sometimes that's all you need for gate leapers.
- 9:08Speaker 4: That's I'm hoping that my lack of deep knowledge will
- 9:14Speaker 4: help me not get in the weeds, you know, because
- 9:17Speaker 4: that has been good for people historically. Yeah, sometimes they'll
- 9:22Speaker 4: know more than Matt will have been able to research,
- 9:26Speaker 4: and it can get in their way.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Yeah, there was a lot of research.
- 9:31Speaker 7: You got to keep out of the ones.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Oh there we go, and with that perfect reference. Teams,
- 9:40Speaker 1: you've just arrived at the Bluebird Cafe with a guitar
- 9:43Speaker 1: in your hands and a dream in your heart. But
- 9:46Speaker 1: you're going to need a name for your singer songwriter duo.
- 9:49Speaker 1: So I'd like each pair to come up with a
- 9:50Speaker 1: Swift themed team name. Please. Let's start with Jen and Joe.
- 9:55Speaker 3: I have a.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Couple speaking of hitting comes from it's different, which is like,
- 10:03Speaker 5: some know it really well as a song, some don't
- 10:05Speaker 5: because of the way it was released. But there is
- 10:09Speaker 5: a part where she says antithetical dream Girl taken out
- 10:13Speaker 5: of contexts. I still think that's a good team name
- 10:15Speaker 5: to just say antithetical dream girls. Yes, And then I
- 10:21Speaker 5: was trying to find something nineteen eighty nine related, because,
- 10:25Speaker 5: as Joe mentioned, some of our own white friend lore
- 10:28Speaker 5: comes from going to buy the target drop of the
- 10:32Speaker 5: deluxe version of nineteen eighty nine and going and listening
- 10:36Speaker 5: to the whole thing of it. So, yeah, there was
- 10:39Speaker 5: something in there, but I wasn't It wasn't quite as
- 10:41Speaker 5: strong as Antileetical dream Girls.
- 10:43Speaker 7: That one's too good. We can't pass that up.
- 10:46Speaker 1: It is very good. Yeah, anathetical dream Girls. Yeah, it's
- 10:51Speaker 1: just it's a fun word to say.
- 10:52Speaker 2: It's really fun. It's like, yeah, trips off the time too.
- 10:54Speaker 5: It's got like a good mouth feel to it, Yeah,
- 10:57Speaker 5: mouth feel to it.
- 10:59Speaker 4: I know that's not technically used for like it's supposed
- 11:01Speaker 4: to be for like culinary things, but no, it's got
- 11:04Speaker 4: a good mouth feel.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, it's a word I could clam it.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Antithetical dream Girls. I love it. I'm writing it down.
- 11:12Speaker 1: It's official. Amazing, Okay, and let's find out who the
- 11:17Speaker 1: antithetical dream girls will be facing, Caroline or Dry any
- 11:20Speaker 1: team name ideas well.
- 11:22Speaker 8: After that response from from Jen, I all drive. I
- 11:26Speaker 8: fear that we are in danger. I fear we are
- 11:30Speaker 8: in danger. However, I have no ideas.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Oh well, I have four.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I'm just always ready, and.
- 11:39Speaker 4: A lot of them. One of them I think is incredible,
- 11:42Speaker 4: Three of them I think exist.
- 11:47Speaker 8: Which one is the incredible one? And I'll try to guess.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Okay, Oh god, this one's long. It's us high where
- 11:54Speaker 4: the problem. It's us in because we know less than
- 11:58Speaker 4: the other team, just just because it connects to me
- 12:01Speaker 4: as like a currently like a stem corporate gurly so productive.
- 12:07Speaker 4: And then teenage petulance because it was another thing that
- 12:10Speaker 4: like felt good in like in my in my like
- 12:14Speaker 4: as a mouth feel and also like the thing of
- 12:16Speaker 4: like pop punk and the things falling together. Last one
- 12:21Speaker 4: poet torturing Department. I think we've learned by the expressions
- 12:29Speaker 4: on everyone's face, which one think is the good one.
- 12:31Speaker 8: I think I think someone's got.
- 12:33Speaker 4: To torture these poets.
- 12:34Speaker 8: Someone's got to torture this poet and for that one. Honestly,
- 12:38Speaker 8: I like that.
- 12:39Speaker 5: I love moment of it not being your favorite album,
- 12:43Speaker 5: which is also fair, and it being been reflected the.
- 12:46Speaker 8: Team name, right, I know when you said that, I
- 12:49Speaker 8: was like, I think this is going to be a
- 12:50Speaker 8: pop It's absolutely going to be a pop And here
- 12:53Speaker 8: we are torturing the poets, the poets tailor Swift.
- 12:58Speaker 1: So poet torturing to pop. Then is this where you're going?
- 13:02Speaker 1: I love it?
- 13:04Speaker 2: Oh so good.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'll just write like how they shortened departments. Sometimes I'll
- 13:09Speaker 1: just write depth. Uh, I might go fall for the
- 13:12Speaker 1: actual episode title, but there it is, thank you, thank you, Okay.
- 13:15Speaker 1: It so we have the antithetical dream girls versus the
- 13:20Speaker 1: poet torturing departments.
- 13:24Speaker 5: If that was that's just yeah, that honors the Taylor
- 13:27Speaker 5: legacy here.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Definitely definitely great team names. Okay. And if you're listening
- 13:34Speaker 1: to this and thinking I'm not sure who Taylor Swift is,
- 13:38Speaker 1: all right, humble brag about the size of the rock
- 13:40Speaker 1: you live under, don't worry. Here's Ordra with a little
- 13:44Speaker 1: segment we like to call passing knowledge.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Taylor Swift is a singer, songwriter, pop culture icon, and
- 13:52Speaker 4: business woman whose cultural impact has shaped the way we
- 13:55Speaker 4: think about pop music in the twenty first century. Her
- 13:59Speaker 4: career began in the mid two thousands thanks to her
- 14:02Speaker 4: endless passion and two very busy stage parents. Swift is
- 14:06Speaker 4: known for her autobiographical songwriting style, which is the same
- 14:10Speaker 4: as a biographical songwriting style, but you write it in
- 14:13Speaker 4: a car. Swift began her career in the Nashville country
- 14:17Speaker 4: music scene, with her crossover hit singles helping to define
- 14:21Speaker 4: the pop country genre in the late two thousands, a
- 14:25Speaker 4: subgenre that scientists say is the whitest of all the musics.
- 14:30Speaker 4: In the early twenty tens, Taylor recalibrated her music and
- 14:33Speaker 4: experimented with pop subgenres, earning her mainstream success, which means
- 14:38Speaker 4: now everyone's mom knows who she is. This period also
- 14:43Speaker 4: brought about media scrutiny and a public feud with Kan
- 14:47Speaker 4: Yee West, a famously stable man. She turned her media
- 14:52Speaker 4: backlash into her reputation era see Banger's Era or that
- 14:57Speaker 4: one time Madonna War Dark Eyeliner, and by the early
- 15:01Speaker 4: twenty twenties was collaborating with America's leading indie artists and musicians,
- 15:06Speaker 4: showing a Bowie esque ability to adapt and change with
- 15:10Speaker 4: the music industry. The Eras Tour of the last couple
- 15:13Speaker 4: of years has been the culmination and celebration of her
- 15:16Speaker 4: career so far, with swifties of multiple generations unifying across
- 15:21Speaker 4: the world for the opportunity to give Ticketmaster a lot
- 15:25Speaker 4: of money. Taylor Swift is a lot of things to
- 15:28Speaker 4: different people. Her skill as an artist is leaving many
- 15:31Speaker 4: of the pages blank for individual fans to fill in
- 15:35Speaker 4: for themselves, because where's the fun in having all the answers?
- 15:39Speaker 4: Life's about questions? And with that, let's play gate Leapers.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Thank you, Audra. Just before we get to today's games,
- 15:50Speaker 1: I've asked each player to bring in a muse, something
- 15:53Speaker 1: that inspires them or something they love from the world
- 15:55Speaker 1: of Taylor Swift. Taylor is inspiring to me because we
- 15:59Speaker 1: went to the first US show at Wembley Stadium after
- 16:01Speaker 1: Taylor's record breaking eight nights sellout residency, and it really
- 16:06Speaker 1: puts into perspective how small the wrestling fandom is, as
- 16:10Speaker 1: one night of fifty five thousand is just thirteen percent
- 16:13Speaker 1: of the crowd Taylor managed to draw. So if wrestling
- 16:17Speaker 1: has more costume changes, it can only get bigger from here,
- 16:20Speaker 1: very inspiring. Jen. We will start with you. What's inspiring
- 16:25Speaker 1: you from the world of TS.
- 16:28Speaker 5: First fall amazing, Matt, I forgot you guys were going
- 16:30Speaker 5: to all In and having just fallen her residency there.
- 16:35Speaker 5: I mean, there's a lot of like like literal physical
- 16:38Speaker 5: object for those watching on the Patreon, I'm wearing the
- 16:42Speaker 5: top that I wore to their's tour, which was a
- 16:44Speaker 5: self made creche top and all of the colors of
- 16:47Speaker 5: the albums at the time when I saw so like
- 16:51Speaker 5: literally by having only this go up to midnights is
- 16:54Speaker 5: behind the times and I saw it a year ago.
- 16:57Speaker 2: But also I would say.
- 16:59Speaker 5: Just like from and I talked about this a little
- 17:02Speaker 5: bit on my my cast interview, is like Taylor Swift,
- 17:06Speaker 5: regardless of the critical celebrity of all of the things
- 17:10Speaker 5: that have happened, has been such a language with other
- 17:15Speaker 5: people in my life.
- 17:17Speaker 3: I grew up military, I moved around a lot.
- 17:19Speaker 5: Every single time I moved, I knew I could find
- 17:22Speaker 5: a community really quickly just by this one interest and
- 17:26Speaker 5: other people resonating so much with.
- 17:28Speaker 3: This human being and being that you know, I'm not.
- 17:32Speaker 5: So far off of her age as well, like very
- 17:36Speaker 5: much so feeling like I'm growing up with somebody.
- 17:39Speaker 2: But yeah, we've already mentioned it.
- 17:40Speaker 5: I have connections with Joe through Taylor Swift and that
- 17:44Speaker 5: we were just college friends where this became a whole
- 17:46Speaker 5: part of our relationship. This is how I've made friends
- 17:49Speaker 5: in high school and middle school, all of these things.
- 17:52Speaker 5: And last year when I went to the Eras Tour,
- 17:54Speaker 5: I actually reconnected to of my best friends from high
- 17:57Speaker 5: school to go to a show. It's my best friends
- 18:01Speaker 5: in high school, we haven't talked for forever. We reconnected
- 18:04Speaker 5: over there as were coming to California and I went
- 18:07Speaker 5: to LA and saw it with them. So like that
- 18:09Speaker 5: was like a full weird, full circle moment to like
- 18:11Speaker 5: really honor in her child stuff. So yeah, like, regardless
- 18:15Speaker 5: of how much I go back and forth with her,
- 18:17Speaker 5: like it's been just so.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Much of my life.
- 18:21Speaker 5: I'm really appreciative of that as someone who, you know,
- 18:25Speaker 5: kind of make social connections a lot.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, it was just a really cool part of life.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's such a good mus like as Yeah,
- 18:33Speaker 1: Taylor's power is a cultural touchstone to just immediately start
- 18:37Speaker 1: a conversation with a new group of people, is that's Yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 1: that's a huge pop culture power to have, and then
- 18:43Speaker 1: great for those of us in social situations who don't
- 18:46Speaker 1: find it quite as easy but can then immediately get
- 18:49Speaker 1: to know people through through something like Taylor Swift. So yeah, great,
- 18:53Speaker 1: muse Jen, very inspiring. Let's move on to your antithetical
- 18:58Speaker 1: dream girl, teammate your feel anthithetical dream girl, Joe, what's
- 19:02Speaker 1: inspiring you about Taylor Swift?
- 19:04Speaker 6: Oh gosh, so like I I love Taylor, I don't
- 19:08Speaker 6: have a lot of stuff, like physical things to represent
- 19:12Speaker 6: like my love for her.
- 19:13Speaker 7: I wish I did, but I don't.
- 19:15Speaker 6: I have a I have a set T shirt that
- 19:17Speaker 6: I bought last year because I'm from Kansas City, so naturally,
- 19:21Speaker 6: the Travis and Taylor relationship is like inside of my body,
- 19:28Speaker 6: like I can't get it out, It's just there. At
- 19:31Speaker 6: one point, my partner was like, I don't think it's
- 19:34Speaker 6: the last and I grabbed him by the shoulders and
- 19:36Speaker 6: I was like, you don't know them like I did.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yeah, not from Kansas City, you don't get it.
- 19:44Speaker 6: Well, it's funny because he is from Kansas City, but
- 19:46Speaker 6: like he doesn't like righteous, so it's like no, and
- 19:52Speaker 6: I have a.
- 19:53Speaker 7: Set T shirt. That's the chief slogo, but it just.
- 19:55Speaker 6: Is TS instead of Casey. I think, like I always
- 20:01Speaker 6: go back to the first song I ever heard her sing,
- 20:05Speaker 6: besides like.
- 20:06Speaker 7: Our song TM. I was fifteen when fifteen.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Came out, and that was like and I was starting
- 20:13Speaker 6: a new school. I had gone from private school to
- 20:17Speaker 6: public school, and like it, the entire song, save the
- 20:21Speaker 6: part about Abigail, Like that whole thing was just like me.
- 20:26Speaker 6: And I was like, oh my god, Taylor and I
- 20:29Speaker 6: are the same. This is insane, and I just I've
- 20:34Speaker 6: always latched onto that and ever since fifteen, like she
- 20:36Speaker 6: re recorded fifteen for the TV version, and I don't
- 20:42Speaker 6: know what it is.
- 20:43Speaker 7: It's just transcended time for me.
- 20:45Speaker 6: And it speaks to little fifteen year old me, who,
- 20:49Speaker 6: as we were talking earlier, was very different from the.
- 20:52Speaker 7: Person I am now.
- 20:55Speaker 6: And I'm just learning to reconnect with like all parts
- 20:58Speaker 6: of myself right now time of my life, and that
- 21:01Speaker 6: is Taylor supposed to have been there through the whole thing,
- 21:05Speaker 6: and so it's like when I listen to her, I
- 21:08Speaker 6: can reconnect with parts of myself.
- 21:11Speaker 4: Yeah, that's so cool because of the thing of like
- 21:14Speaker 4: I think, when we grow and changes, people there is
- 21:17Speaker 4: a tendency sometimes to like throw everything out that we
- 21:20Speaker 4: once were. But I think there's a real like power
- 21:23Speaker 4: in picking and choosing what parts are you and what
- 21:26Speaker 4: parts aren't you, and so like having that choice of like, no,
- 21:30Speaker 4: this was this was a choice, and the thing that
- 21:33Speaker 4: I liked as myself that I still like now, that's
- 21:36Speaker 4: so freaking cool.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Yeah, very inspiring. I'm loving this sort of common theme
- 21:41Speaker 1: of like reconnecting with in a child and being able
- 21:45Speaker 1: to do that through a fandom through music is Yeah,
- 21:48Speaker 1: really beautiful stuff. Another great meuse from Joe there. I
- 21:51Speaker 1: think the anithetical dream Girls are really on the tailor
- 21:54Speaker 1: swift level of it's getting deep good stuff. Yeah, all right,
- 21:58Speaker 1: Well let's move on to the poet toulturing departments. Caroline,
- 22:07Speaker 1: what's inspiring you from the world of Taylor's way.
- 22:11Speaker 8: I have? I'm trying to think of like how to
- 22:14Speaker 8: say this, so I'll start with like a personal story
- 22:18Speaker 8: I had for Mother's Day in May of twenty twenty one.
- 22:23Speaker 8: I wasn't making any money because COVID was happening. I
- 22:27Speaker 8: didn't have a job, and so for instead of getting
- 22:31Speaker 8: my mom a physical gift, I like recorded myself singing
- 22:34Speaker 8: best Day, because that song really even like the details
- 22:40Speaker 8: of that song are so like sorry, I'm gonna get
- 22:44Speaker 8: an emotional sorry, oh my god, like accurate to our
- 22:50Speaker 8: relationship and like I have a brother too, and like
- 22:54Speaker 8: and and snow White and the Seven Doors and just
- 22:57Speaker 8: these little things that like really connect me to her.
- 23:01Speaker 4: Sorry, well sorry, I do not have to apologize never.
- 23:07Speaker 4: We will not let you.
- 23:09Speaker 8: And it's it's her, It's that. And then to make
- 23:12Speaker 8: it bigger, Taylor Swift like makes me feel like a
- 23:16Speaker 8: woman because I think for a long time I felt like,
- 23:19Speaker 8: because I'm a lesbian, I couldn't be feminine, and I
- 23:22Speaker 8: am not feminine in a lot of ways. But connecting
- 23:25Speaker 8: with Taylor makes me connect to my feminine side and
- 23:28Speaker 8: remember that like it's okay to be emotional and be
- 23:33Speaker 8: a girl, a girly girl, you know sometimes too. So anyway,
- 23:38Speaker 8: all of those things.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Yeah, though, Caroline, that's that's beautiful. Yeah, I know. The
- 23:43Speaker 1: sort of like the connection of like mother adult thing
- 23:45Speaker 1: is is a big thing in the Swift fandom, not
- 23:49Speaker 1: just not just Taylor and her mother, but like fans
- 23:51Speaker 1: and sort of just one of the more emotional things
- 23:54Speaker 1: is someone sort of looking more from the outside is
- 23:56Speaker 1: seeing those like multi generations at like the eras to
- 23:59Speaker 1: or and stuff like that. That's that's a very beautiful thing.
- 24:03Speaker 1: And that was a very beautiful thing that you did
- 24:05Speaker 1: mother on Mother's Day during difficult Yeah. So yeah, what
- 24:09Speaker 1: amuse what?
- 24:11Speaker 8: I'm amused?
- 24:12Speaker 1: This is so good. There's those are three excellent answers.
- 24:15Speaker 1: And I'm so sorry oldre that you have to follow.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Mine's a bit.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Yes, you gotta keep us, that's what Ore's here for. Yes, like,
- 24:28Speaker 2: well you'll die us back into the common.
- 24:32Speaker 4: So my inspiration I was a tumbler, girlye. My inspiration
- 24:38Speaker 4: is no, it's Becky. So there was a post on Tumblr.
- 24:46Speaker 4: The explanation for those who do not know, there was
- 24:49Speaker 4: a post on Tumblr. It was a photo, like a
- 24:51Speaker 4: black and white grainy photo of what is obviously Taylor Swift.
- 24:56Speaker 4: It's Taylor Swift, and the text under this is just
- 24:58Speaker 4: this is a picture of my friend back. She used
- 25:00Speaker 4: to be a happy, popular girl until one night she
- 25:03Speaker 4: snorted marijuana at a party. She died instantly. Please don't
- 25:07Speaker 4: do the marijuana. It's the most dangerous drug out there.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Please don't wind up like Becky and someone replied, I'm
- 25:14Speaker 4: pretty sure that's Taylor Swift. The third response is just no,
- 25:20Speaker 4: it's Becky. The lore continues. Taylor Swift was then photographed
- 25:27Speaker 4: in a yellow shirt that just said no, it's Becky.
- 25:32Speaker 4: I have I'm wearing a yellow shirt and I I've
- 25:35Speaker 4: written no it's Becky on some tape and I also
- 25:42Speaker 4: I'm wearing a no it's Becky yellow shirt for the
- 25:47Speaker 4: bit the Tumblr girl, like the Tumblr girlie in me
- 25:50Speaker 4: was just like, Nah, she gets it. It's Becky forever.
- 25:56Speaker 7: Oh my god.
- 25:58Speaker 6: Wasn't I like a room and that it was actually
- 26:00Speaker 6: her on Tumblr that posted it the first time or crazy?
- 26:03Speaker 4: I would not be surprised. I do think genuinely she
- 26:06Speaker 4: was big in into Tumblr.
- 26:08Speaker 5: She was actively on Tumblr and like replying like she
- 26:12Speaker 5: It was how the like swifties being so connected and
- 26:16Speaker 5: direct conversation with her was because during the particularly around
- 26:20Speaker 5: the first three albums, she was just she was. It
- 26:24Speaker 5: was original, chronically online girly because she was just like
- 26:28Speaker 5: actively reponding to things. So she thought everything on tumblry.
- 26:33Speaker 3: And there's so much tumbler lore as it.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Relates to Taylor Swift, particularly also with Halsey. You want
- 26:38Speaker 2: to go down a deep dive.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Go look at.
- 26:42Speaker 5: How Tumblr and Halsey and One Direction and Taylor Swift
- 26:46Speaker 5: all pulled together.
- 26:47Speaker 7: Yeah, talked about One Direction and Tumblr.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Oh my god, I just put that back.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll stick to this. Yes, excellent, No it's Becky.
- 27:00Speaker 1: No it's no, that's a that's a fantastic muse. Well,
- 27:05Speaker 1: we'll clip this. Anyone listening just on audio, I'll.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Go into the I'll go closer to the camera but
- 27:11Speaker 4: away from the.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Micro lovely stuff.
- 27:15Speaker 4: On thank You. I did the bee capitalized, but in
- 27:21Speaker 4: the original show the bee was not capitalized, and I
- 27:23Speaker 4: almost redid it, but then I was like, no, no,
- 27:26Speaker 4: I'm committal, Era, I'm proudly Era. You're not gonna people
- 27:30Speaker 4: please about the capital versus non capitalized.
- 27:34Speaker 1: M good stuff. All right, I'm feeling inspired. I don't
- 27:39Speaker 1: know about you, guys, but I'm feeling very inspired with that. Right, Teams,
- 27:43Speaker 1: Let's hop in our getaway car and get to ride
- 27:46Speaker 1: in and or cry in and or die in in
- 27:49Speaker 1: round one. Round one is called good Readents. It's the
- 27:58Speaker 1: trivia game where in turn I'll offer each team a
- 28:01Speaker 1: quote from a song or as they're more commonly known, lyrics.
- 28:06Speaker 1: That lyric will either belong to a Taylor Swift or
- 28:11Speaker 1: be another artist. Option B changes with each question, but
- 28:16Speaker 1: always has a connection to Taylor, so there'll always be
- 28:18Speaker 1: some Taylor connection with the other artist. Get that correct
- 28:22Speaker 1: for a point, and then for a bonus point, name
- 28:25Speaker 1: the song the lyrics belong to be it Swift or otherwise.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I'm also going to try and read these as unmusically
- 28:32Speaker 1: as possible, and as I lost my voice at Wembley
- 28:35Speaker 1: Stadium and then got COVID, I think I don't sound
- 28:38Speaker 1: very musical anyway, so that will be too difficult. Actually,
- 28:41Speaker 1: you were just preparing for this moment. Yes, it was
- 28:44Speaker 1: all prah. Okay, we will begin with the antithetical dream Girls.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Here is your first lyric. If you want to go
- 28:53Speaker 1: and be stupid, don't do it in front of me.
- 28:56Speaker 1: If you don't want to cry to my music, don't
- 28:59Speaker 1: make Can me hate you prolifically?
- 29:03Speaker 5: Not Taylor, not Taylor, that is Miss Sabrina Reedy Carpenter.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Oh, excellent stuff it is. I mean I didn't even
- 29:12Speaker 1: have to say is it a Taylor Swift or B.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Sabrina Carpenter's done on repeat a week. Good stuff. Yeah,
- 29:21Speaker 1: supported Taylor on the eras to a very much part
- 29:24Speaker 1: of the current pop girly zeitgeist.
- 29:26Speaker 3: That good graces. Let's please please please Oh yeah, you're.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Right, go with please please please for the bonus point.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Yes the music video with Barry Coogan. Mm hmmm, yes,
- 29:39Speaker 4: sorry I confirmed before.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yeah, please please the bonus point two points right there.
- 29:45Speaker 1: What a great start from a pair of swifties. There,
- 29:48Speaker 1: good stuff.
- 29:49Speaker 8: Oh no, I.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Would have known that one, which means I'm probably not
- 29:52Speaker 4: gonna know this one.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I know.
- 29:54Speaker 8: I was just thinking that too. I was like, crap, No,
- 29:56Speaker 8: it's okay, you got the soccer come on.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Yes, oh Poet's ulturing Department. Yes, here is your lyric.
- 30:03Speaker 1: And I've been meaning to tell you. I think your
- 30:06Speaker 1: house is haunted. Your dad is always mad and that
- 30:09Speaker 1: must be why. And I think you should come live
- 30:11Speaker 1: with me and we can be pirates. Is that a
- 30:17Speaker 1: Taylor Swift? Well, b Phoebe Bridges.
- 30:21Speaker 8: Okay, well, I'll d I have great news for you.
- 30:23Speaker 8: That is Taylor Swift. Gotcha cool? Amazing you know that?
- 30:27Speaker 8: And I can hear the melody in my head. I
- 30:30Speaker 8: just love to get to the chorus, I think.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Hmm. I'm so glad you know this.
- 30:39Speaker 8: Oh, what is the name of that song? This is
- 30:43Speaker 8: so embarrassing. I know the melody, but I can't remember
- 30:47Speaker 8: the name of the song.
- 30:48Speaker 1: That's okay. Do you want to take a guess throw
- 30:50Speaker 1: something out there?
- 30:52Speaker 8: Okay, I think it's definitely God. I think it's Evermore. Oh,
- 30:57Speaker 8: it's a song on Evermore. Gonna go with bro I
- 31:01Speaker 8: have no idea. I'm just gonna let it go. It's okay.
- 31:05Speaker 1: This you're very close to Evermore. It's from Folklore and
- 31:09Speaker 1: it's for seven is this song?
- 31:11Speaker 8: Oh God, I love that song. That's like one of
- 31:14Speaker 8: my favorite songs. Wow, that's so embarrassing. That's okay.
- 31:17Speaker 5: So not surprised that your first hair swift lyric that
- 31:19Speaker 5: you have presented on this podcast, Matt, is from Folklore.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:24Speaker 4: Well, you know, such a little mark.
- 31:27Speaker 1: If I was to pick an album, it would be Folklore.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Absolutely yeah. And I just I thought, how like SIMP,
- 31:35Speaker 1: I thought was maybe hoping to trip up some Swifties.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Just sound Sophoebe Bridges with the talking about haunted and.
- 31:41Speaker 8: Dads and Dad's right, I hate your dad is a
- 31:45Speaker 8: big vibe for Phoebe Bridges.
- 31:48Speaker 1: But yeah, good job. One point. There, very good stuff.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Moving back on over to the antithetical dream girls, Here
- 31:54Speaker 1: is your next lyric, after giving you the best I had,
- 31:57Speaker 1: tell me what to give after that? All you want
- 32:00Speaker 1: from me now is the green light of forgiveness. Is
- 32:04Speaker 1: that a Taylor Swift or b Stevie Nicks.
- 32:09Speaker 7: It's Taylor and I'm trying to remember the.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Song happy with it being Taylor jen.
- 32:15Speaker 3: This one is kind of tripping me up.
- 32:19Speaker 5: It has it's the hard part of picking people who
- 32:21Speaker 5: are her muses.
- 32:25Speaker 7: Hold on, say say the first part again.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Absolutely, after giving you the best I had, tell me
- 32:30Speaker 1: what to give after that? All you want from me
- 32:33Speaker 1: now is the green light of forgiveness.
- 32:35Speaker 6: Fuck. I can hear the next words. You haven't met
- 32:38Speaker 6: the new media, but I think she could give you that.
- 32:42Speaker 7: Fuck. It's also from folklore.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Back well, I'll tell you what I be here.
- 32:52Speaker 2: If we're going to go artists, that's the song? Is
- 32:56Speaker 2: the bonus point?
- 32:57Speaker 3: That's true?
- 32:59Speaker 1: It's it is absolutely is Taylor Swift. You've got that right.
- 33:02Speaker 1: You're agonizing so much of what the next lyric is
- 33:04Speaker 1: and able to say the next lyrics and everything that
- 33:06Speaker 1: I know, you know this is table Yeah, we'll secure
- 33:10Speaker 1: the point.
- 33:11Speaker 5: We'll learn that a lot of us are going to
- 33:13Speaker 5: have problems with song titles, but like, not every word
- 33:16Speaker 5: in it, right, it's just like the title is like
- 33:18Speaker 5: and it's cold.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Now.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I had to find a way to actually make these
- 33:24Speaker 1: somewhat difficult. Yeah, do you want to throw out a
- 33:29Speaker 1: guess of a of a song just to try and
- 33:30Speaker 1: get the bonus point? Or do you want to let
- 33:32Speaker 1: this one go?
- 33:33Speaker 7: I think, oh, wait, ship, it's not from Evermore?
- 33:38Speaker 6: Is My brain wants to say cowboy like Me, But
- 33:41Speaker 6: then that's we're gonna we're gonna throw out I don't
- 33:43Speaker 6: think that's it, but yeah.
- 33:45Speaker 1: It's it's not cowboy like Me. It's this one's from Happiness.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Happiness, remember Maria.
- 33:52Speaker 5: Those two again Evermore and are hard for titles because
- 33:56Speaker 5: she doesn't often say them in the song.
- 33:59Speaker 2: So it's like you can know everything, but then be like.
- 34:02Speaker 4: And the title is only vaguely related.
- 34:07Speaker 5: Yeah, unless it's the one the one is repeated like
- 34:10Speaker 5: a million times and that's it.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:12Speaker 1: Fair, all right, well, good stuff one point.
- 34:15Speaker 4: Then it's safe.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Yeah, back on over to the poet torturing department. Harry,
- 34:20Speaker 1: your next lyrics, I remember that time you told me
- 34:23Speaker 1: you said love is touching souls. Surely you touched mine
- 34:28Speaker 1: because part of you palls out of me in these
- 34:30Speaker 1: lines from time to time. Is that a Taylor Swift
- 34:35Speaker 1: or b Joni Mitchell.
- 34:37Speaker 8: I don't think it's Taylor Swift. I think that's Joni Mitchell.
- 34:40Speaker 4: I'm gonna go with you on that. I don't know
- 34:43Speaker 4: what song, but I.
- 34:44Speaker 8: Have no idea. I really don't know Mitchell very well.
- 34:47Speaker 8: But yeah, I'm gonna say Joni Mitchell.
- 34:50Speaker 1: It absolutely is Joni Mitchell. Good stuff yet Mitchell, Joni
- 34:55Speaker 1: Mitchell and Stevie Nick's Two People, Taylor has cited as
- 34:58Speaker 1: inspirations in her song right Style. I think you can
- 35:02Speaker 1: very much see it there in the in the lyrics. Yeah, absolutely,
- 35:06Speaker 1: But any guesses.
- 35:07Speaker 8: I don't even.
- 35:10Speaker 4: World tour, that would be one.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Of the the first of all. They collaborated in the
- 35:18Speaker 1: In This In This Universe and it's a yeah they went.
- 35:21Speaker 1: They called their song Jony and Stevie's Big World Tour.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Yeah. The the cover for the single is them like
- 35:27Speaker 4: as Thelma and Louise.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Oh well, actually I'm sold now.
- 35:31Speaker 8: It's so funny.
- 35:33Speaker 1: This is a case of you by Joni Mitchell. You
- 35:37Speaker 1: got the point there. The bonus is just the bonus.
- 35:40Speaker 1: That's it's It's there for a bonus. It's in the
- 35:42Speaker 1: it's in the word. I'm gonna go delirious on cold
- 35:45Speaker 1: and flue pills and we'll love it all right, Okay,
- 35:51Speaker 1: next up, back on over to antithetical dream girls. Here
- 35:54Speaker 1: are your next lyrics. You didn't see me. I was
- 35:57Speaker 1: falling apart. I was a white girl in a crowd
- 36:00Speaker 1: of white girls in the park. I was a television
- 36:03Speaker 1: version of a person with a broken heart. Is that
- 36:07Speaker 1: a Taylor Swift or b The National.
- 36:13Speaker 5: Really testing me there, Matt, But I don't think a
- 36:17Speaker 5: white girl, yeah, not in her lyrics?
- 36:23Speaker 2: Say it one more time.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Absolutely, you didn't see me. I was falling apart. I
- 36:29Speaker 1: was a white girl in a crowd of white girls
- 36:31Speaker 1: in the park. I was a television version of a
- 36:33Speaker 1: person with a broken heart. I think the National Do
- 36:38Speaker 1: you agree, Joe?
- 36:39Speaker 5: That's say are you feeling Yeah? I can't tell you
- 36:41Speaker 5: what the song title is. Again, I'm bad at song titles.
- 36:44Speaker 2: But I don't think.
- 36:44Speaker 5: That's Taylor because she I don't think she's ever said
- 36:47Speaker 5: the word television or that'd.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Be a good test for the Swifties listening. Uh gateleaps
- 36:52Speaker 1: gmailed that Swift said television.
- 36:55Speaker 5: Swords yeah, or she said like on the TV or
- 37:01Speaker 5: something like that, And I could be wrong, but I
- 37:03Speaker 5: don't think that's Taylor.
- 37:05Speaker 1: You're absolutely right. It is the National, So there is
- 37:07Speaker 1: the point. And yeah, it's again it's not any of
- 37:11Speaker 1: the words that have been sung in the song, so
- 37:13Speaker 1: it is tough to draw those song titles out.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I will just.
- 37:17Speaker 5: Drop the killer collaboration between The National and Taylor the
- 37:22Speaker 5: Alca and say that's not the right answer.
- 37:26Speaker 2: But I love that song.
- 37:27Speaker 1: So it's a good guest and it's It's what this
- 37:30Speaker 1: passive questions is all about, is about Taylor Swift's collaborators.
- 37:34Speaker 1: But no, it's from Pink Rabbits. This one. I chose
- 37:37Speaker 1: it because I was a white girl in a crowd
- 37:39Speaker 1: of white girls in the park.
- 37:41Speaker 2: It's not it's good. It's good stuff. It sounds like
- 37:43Speaker 2: I don't think she's dead.
- 37:46Speaker 3: I'm a white girl. She's ever.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Send me a list of all the lyrics that she
- 37:57Speaker 4: implies it implication.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Say, okay, Boe, it's Rturing Department. Here is your next
- 38:07Speaker 1: set of lyrics. Yeah, We're happy, free, confused, and lonely
- 38:11Speaker 1: in the best way. It's miserable and magical. Oh yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 1: tonight's the night when we forget about the heartbreaks. It's time.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Oh oh that.
- 38:22Speaker 8: Taylor Swift and I don't know about you.
- 38:28Speaker 3: And that's much as you can say for copy right.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Good.
- 38:34Speaker 8: Sorry don't know about you, Matthew. I'm feeling twenty. I
- 38:40Speaker 8: think it's funny too.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it absolutely is double points there for for tailors,
- 38:43Speaker 1: so I didn't even need to say Ed Cheran for b.
- 38:47Speaker 2: What funny? I would like to see a cover from
- 38:51Speaker 2: sheer Enough.
- 38:52Speaker 8: Oh yeah, that would be epic. That would be so funny.
- 38:54Speaker 1: It's got enough. Oh yes, and o's in which are
- 38:56Speaker 1: most of Ed Sheeran's lyrics.
- 39:00Speaker 4: He'd be in his wheelhouse.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Got one last pair of lyrics for each team. Here,
- 39:05Speaker 1: back on over to the antithetical girlies might just shorten
- 39:08Speaker 1: your name to that sometimes here it is aerial lyrics.
- 39:12Speaker 1: They're burning all the witches, even if you aren't one.
- 39:16Speaker 1: They got their pitchforks and proof, their receipts and reasons.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Is that Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift or Metallica? It's Taylor
- 39:24Speaker 1: Hell yeah, it's Taylor Swift. You know this. It's Taylor Swift.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Good stuff. And do you know the song?
- 39:36Speaker 6: It's uh I did something bad?
- 39:41Speaker 9: Yeah, I was like, oh, but this is who yeah
- 39:51Speaker 9: from from reputation, Joe, you even you even could draw
- 39:54Speaker 9: that even though you dislike reputation.
- 39:56Speaker 7: I like it now, Okay, I didn't.
- 40:01Speaker 5: I'm really excited for that rerecord me. But I'm mixing
- 40:05Speaker 5: so much better.
- 40:06Speaker 7: All clown knows for that whole thing. Like I paint.
- 40:10Speaker 6: My face every night and I'm like, all right, this
- 40:12Speaker 6: is the night the reputation teaching.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Will be announced.
- 40:16Speaker 8: That's it.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Yeah. I just thought those lyrics sounded so metal, so
- 40:20Speaker 1: it's very metallica there. Okay, And finally, for the poet's
- 40:25Speaker 1: ordering department, here are your final lyrics. And I hope
- 40:27Speaker 1: when you think of me years down the line, you
- 40:30Speaker 1: can't find one good thing to say. And I'd hope
- 40:33Speaker 1: that if I found the strength to walk out, you'd
- 40:35Speaker 1: stay the hell out of my way? Is that a
- 40:39Speaker 1: Taylor Swift or B the Mountain Goats?
- 40:44Speaker 8: So true? Can you ever bea the lyrics? Please?
- 40:47Speaker 1: Absolutely? And I hope when you think of me years
- 40:50Speaker 1: down the line, you can't find one good thing to say,
- 40:53Speaker 1: and I'd hope that if I found the strength to
- 40:55Speaker 1: walk out, you'd stay the hell out of my way.
- 40:58Speaker 4: Hmmm, it feels here's the thing to me, it feels
- 41:05Speaker 4: very Mountain Goats. But so and if you're not recognizing
- 41:09Speaker 4: it as.
- 41:10Speaker 8: Taylor Swift, I don't think I am now.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Then I would probably say Mountain Goats.
- 41:15Speaker 1: It is indeed the Mountain.
- 41:16Speaker 8: I have no idea what.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Song because they come out with a full album every
- 41:20Speaker 4: fucking month. That seems Joe, I know what a song
- 41:23Speaker 4: this is. This is Aldrin.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I wasn't going to get that. I
- 41:30Speaker 1: can't possibly give you the point because it wasn't your
- 41:32Speaker 1: question and I wasn't.
- 41:36Speaker 4: I wasn't gonna call it out. I was gonna be like,
- 41:39Speaker 4: I don't know, is it off one of the wrestling ones.
- 41:42Speaker 6: I only know it because I made a TikTok from
- 41:45Speaker 6: the sound a few years back and it has imprinted
- 41:49Speaker 6: on my brain.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Yeah, No.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I chose it because, like, there's such a well respected
- 41:55Speaker 1: band in sort of hipster circles, but they have such
- 41:58Speaker 1: a similar song right style to Taylor Swift. They produce
- 42:01Speaker 1: an album seemingly every year like a similar to Taylor Swift,
- 42:05Speaker 1: very prolific. They have their own eras and ideas for things.
- 42:09Speaker 1: So it's just like then might go to for when
- 42:11Speaker 1: people get a little too snarky about Taylor Swift, it's like, well,
- 42:15Speaker 1: you like the Mountain Goat, so shut up.
- 42:19Speaker 8: That's good.
- 42:19Speaker 4: Maybe calm down.
- 42:21Speaker 3: You need to calm down.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Okay, that is the end of round one. Let's ask
- 42:27Speaker 1: our pr team to handle the latest scores. I hope
- 42:30Speaker 1: they're even. That's always easier to sell to the public. Okay,
- 42:35Speaker 1: those scars are pretty even. The antithetical dream Girls are
- 42:38Speaker 1: on six points and the Poet's Torturing Department are on
- 42:41Speaker 1: five points.
- 42:42Speaker 8: Ooh, okay, I'll drell.
- 42:43Speaker 7: Let's do a girl.
- 42:44Speaker 8: We're in it still, Yeah, we're in it.
- 42:48Speaker 2: It's round one.
- 42:50Speaker 4: We're still in it better than I expected.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Up next is round two. After this ad break, just
- 42:57Speaker 1: enough time for you to listen to thirteen percent of
- 43:00Speaker 1: All Too Well brackets ten minutes, version brackets, Taylor's version,
- 43:03Speaker 1: square brackets from the Vault. Come back be here. Round
- 43:13Speaker 1: two is a new game called a hill to die on.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Sometimes in fandoms, you're willing to die on a metaphorical
- 43:20Speaker 1: hill in order to defend an opinion. The death is
- 43:23Speaker 1: also metaphorical, So intern our players will make their way
- 43:27Speaker 1: to their respective hilltops. And let's say for this episode
- 43:31Speaker 1: it's on stage between opening acts of the Eras tour,
- 43:35Speaker 1: and while on stage, you'll only have your fellow Swifti's
- 43:38Speaker 1: attention for one minute, during which you must state and
- 43:42Speaker 1: justify what you think is the greatest of the Taylor
- 43:46Speaker 1: Swift eras allod points throughout the good points, evidence, jokes, references,
- 43:52Speaker 1: and for sounding as though you're addressing a crowd of
- 43:55Speaker 1: about eighty thousand people. After your minute is up, we'll
- 43:59Speaker 1: hear a one sentence comment from each of your fellow fans. Then,
- 44:03Speaker 1: after everyone has died on their respective hills, we'll have
- 44:06Speaker 1: a democratic discussion about who did best, as we metaphorically
- 44:10Speaker 1: resurrect the one person that did the best and award
- 44:13Speaker 1: them a bonus point, a precious bonus point. Okay, So
- 44:19Speaker 1: it will be against the clock this game, so we
- 44:20Speaker 1: do have our physical timer that can help add to
- 44:23Speaker 1: the tension.
- 44:24Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, that's so fun.
- 44:26Speaker 1: So there we go and gives it, yeah, something to
- 44:32Speaker 1: work towards. Okay, Jen, we will start with you. I
- 44:35Speaker 1: think this one. If you are ready, which Taylor Swift
- 44:40Speaker 1: era will you be defending?
- 44:42Speaker 2: I will be defending the og Speak Now era.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Nice? Okay, So with that, are you ready to speak now?
- 44:53Speaker 1: I'm actually uh okay, Jen, you have one minute to
- 45:00Speaker 1: convince your fellow fans. This is the best Taylor Swift era.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Your time starts now.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Oh gee, Taylor Messy era, Your girl was like, you
- 45:09Speaker 5: know what, I have a couple under my belt. People
- 45:11Speaker 5: like me, let's go. I'm throwing people under the bus.
- 45:15Speaker 5: I'm coming out better Fun Revenge and Dear John on
- 45:18Speaker 5: the same album Ridiculous, the like give it some time,
- 45:23Speaker 5: Dear John, those guitar licks that are like, no, I
- 45:26Speaker 5: want you to I want you to hear John Mayern this.
- 45:29Speaker 5: I'm gonna call it here, John, I'm gonna call him
- 45:31Speaker 5: out now.
- 45:31Speaker 3: Mind you.
- 45:32Speaker 5: We've got the og speak now. So it is her
- 45:34Speaker 5: time to be in a spot where the Messy Queen
- 45:38Speaker 5: was messy queening as it relates to not being a
- 45:42Speaker 5: girl's girl one.
- 45:44Speaker 3: But it was her also pop punk.
- 45:47Speaker 5: Era by way up haunted, and I will say in
- 45:51Speaker 5: the re record We've got a fallout boy, and I'm
- 45:56Speaker 5: just gonna leave it there, like, let's sit for that
- 45:58Speaker 5: for three seconds. I mean it's also when she met
- 46:03Speaker 5: Hailey Williams.
- 46:04Speaker 1: So there we go. There's your time getting in Hailey
- 46:07Speaker 1: Williams at the end. There very good stuff.
- 46:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:11Speaker 1: I like how you referred to it as the og
- 46:12Speaker 1: MESSI era. That was. That was very good. And she
- 46:15Speaker 1: started quick one sentence comments from your fellow fans about that, Joe,
- 46:19Speaker 1: how do you think she did to.
- 46:21Speaker 7: Put it briefly? Shit?
- 46:23Speaker 6: You right?
- 46:27Speaker 8: Caroline couldn't agree more. This is awesome, my favorite era.
- 46:30Speaker 8: I love it so much. Yeah, just word.
- 46:38Speaker 4: I learned new things every day, and I love the
- 46:41Speaker 4: thing because Tayler Shift is like such a like chameleon
- 46:45Speaker 4: in the way that Bowie was in the like picking
- 46:48Speaker 4: the styles and understanding them so well to replicate them,
- 46:52Speaker 4: to have like the level of insult to John mayor
- 46:54Speaker 4: to be like I want this guitar to be iconically
- 46:56Speaker 4: John Mayer as a middle finger. It's like such a
- 46:59Speaker 4: good you of that power. This was multiple sentences.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Or one really long run on sentence.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Yes, I didn't hear any punctuations. Yeah, fantastic stuff. Loads
- 47:12Speaker 1: of points there. And I also didn't know that fact
- 47:14Speaker 1: about the guitarics, so definitely a full point for that
- 47:17Speaker 1: as well and extra view.
- 47:18Speaker 5: I have to also as a just pinky too, this
- 47:24Speaker 5: is Chris is my partner's favorite era as well as
- 47:27Speaker 5: a guitar Gurly himself.
- 47:30Speaker 3: It was the like immediate the first.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Few notes and you're like ye oh no and uh yeah.
- 47:38Speaker 4: So Taylor Swift is about community, so exactly outsource that information.
- 47:45Speaker 1: It too, good stuff, Jen with us still a few
- 47:50Speaker 1: minutes left between the support acts of the eras to us,
- 47:53Speaker 1: So up next we're going to throw things over to
- 47:55Speaker 1: the poet Toulturing department and Caroline, which which era will
- 48:00Speaker 1: you be defending?
- 48:01Speaker 8: I will be defending the Tortured Poet's Department.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Nice, very apt, good stuff. I can't wait to hear this.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Are you ready?
- 48:09Speaker 8: Yes?
- 48:10Speaker 1: Your time, Stoughts.
- 48:12Speaker 8: Now, you know an album is really amazing when Taylor
- 48:16Speaker 8: Swift decides to release eight alternate versions of the CD
- 48:20Speaker 8: and the record. Also, you know an album is amazing
- 48:24Speaker 8: when it's not only one, but two albums in one night.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Wow.
- 48:30Speaker 8: Also, you know what a lot of people complain that
- 48:33Speaker 8: Taylor Swift is too personal, her lyrics, too intimate, too emotional. Well,
- 48:39Speaker 8: not anymore this In this album, you'll get produced, over
- 48:44Speaker 8: produced what people want to hear, and not straight from
- 48:47Speaker 8: her heart. And isn't that just amazing? We also have
- 48:53Speaker 8: no editing. There was no inner censor with Taylor with
- 48:56Speaker 8: this album. She just vomited out all those lyrics and
- 48:59Speaker 8: the listeners have got to hear all of them. And wow,
- 49:03Speaker 8: wasn't that just amazing? And I have almost all the
- 49:08Speaker 8: songs not memorized because they all sound the same, and
- 49:11Speaker 8: that's great.
- 49:14Speaker 4: I'm crying, so.
- 49:17Speaker 1: Brave, so brave of you to do that in front
- 49:19Speaker 1: of seventy swifties.
- 49:21Speaker 2: So sorry, what happened to the ten thousand you started?
- 49:24Speaker 6: Oh?
- 49:25Speaker 4: Yeah? Left? But am I wrong?
- 49:31Speaker 6: Yes?
- 49:32Speaker 8: Sorry? I do love some of the songs. It's complicated,
- 49:35Speaker 8: we've been over this.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, album absolutely at a fantastic way to defend
- 49:40Speaker 1: it and get your point across. Yeah, let's have some
- 49:42Speaker 1: one sentence comments from the swifties. Are very curious what
- 49:45Speaker 1: the antithetical girlies think of this? Jen?
- 49:48Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, how well spoken, act, tactical, pragmatic, lovely nice, Joe.
- 50:10Speaker 6: I've written a ninety seven point thesis about why you're wrong,
- 50:14Speaker 6: and here's why send it.
- 50:19Speaker 4: To gate leapers at you.
- 50:23Speaker 7: It is in Times, the New Times, in Roman.
- 50:28Speaker 1: That they brought out the new.
- 50:29Speaker 7: One and in MLA format.
- 50:32Speaker 4: Thanks, and I love it. I think that we should
- 50:40Speaker 4: expect great things from our artists who have done so historically,
- 50:46Speaker 4: and so I think we should hold them to account
- 50:49Speaker 4: for the things that they can do. So yep, good
- 50:55Speaker 4: on you, so brave.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Yeah, lots of points throwing out there. You definitely have
- 51:01Speaker 1: me with the right at the beginning with the eight
- 51:03Speaker 1: CD versions.
- 51:06Speaker 8: No, I know an album is the best.
- 51:09Speaker 1: The more versions it has before it's even released. Anyway,
- 51:15Speaker 1: I'm now, no, that was all. That was excellent stuff.
- 51:18Speaker 1: Lots of boints thrown out there. But look, there's still
- 51:20Speaker 1: a couple of minutes left on the stage. Moon is
- 51:24Speaker 1: getting ready. I don't know who's up.
- 51:25Speaker 4: Next, so.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Joe will we will move back on over to the
- 51:31Speaker 1: antithetical dream Girls. Are you ready to defend your era?
- 51:35Speaker 1: What are you defending?
- 51:37Speaker 7: I have chosen nineteen eighty nine, the TV version. I
- 51:42Speaker 7: didn't tell.
- 51:43Speaker 6: I didn't say earlier which version I was choosing, because
- 51:45Speaker 6: there are two versions. But this is the TV version.
- 51:48Speaker 1: That's true. That's true, and absolutely that is an era
- 51:51Speaker 1: in of itself.
- 51:53Speaker 4: So the television version.
- 51:56Speaker 7: That's what my dad thinks. That means.
- 52:00Speaker 6: I'm like, no, Dad, it's Taylor's freak like and why
- 52:03Speaker 6: not just say that?
- 52:03Speaker 3: But it's long.
- 52:06Speaker 1: Because she's never said television in a song.
- 52:08Speaker 4: Ever for ever.
- 52:10Speaker 5: You're gonna have to look that up after and have
- 52:13Speaker 5: you add a retraction to the show small House.
- 52:16Speaker 1: On the show, we'll release the second version of this
- 52:20Speaker 1: gate Leaper's version. Yes, oh my god, okay, Joe, are
- 52:26Speaker 1: you ready to defend nineteen eighty nine at the time
- 52:31Speaker 1: starts now?
- 52:32Speaker 3: Okay.
- 52:33Speaker 6: So Taylor is going through Aras tour, doing her thing,
- 52:36Speaker 6: re releasing her albums, re recording her albums, and then
- 52:40Speaker 6: she releases nineteen eighty nine Taylor's version, and I love
- 52:45Speaker 6: the original, don't get me wrong, it's great. I think
- 52:48Speaker 6: a lot of you would agree with me. And it
- 52:51Speaker 6: was wonderful when it came out, and then, you know,
- 52:53Speaker 6: we kind of just forgot about it. It's whatever, except
- 52:55Speaker 6: for twenty two and shake it off, because those are
- 52:58Speaker 6: the only two things people remember about that entire album.
- 53:00Speaker 6: So when she re releases the album, the way that
- 53:04Speaker 6: she dragged Harry through the goddamn Swamps of Louisiana by
- 53:09Speaker 6: his ankles. Okay, this woman was like, you know what,
- 53:14Speaker 6: I was too soft on you here, Let's just start
- 53:19Speaker 6: this pile of shit right up to you and like
- 53:22Speaker 6: read you for filth. We found out about so many
- 53:26Speaker 6: things that we didn't know existed.
- 53:28Speaker 4: And I think that.
- 53:29Speaker 6: Was the first one where she really just decided to
- 53:31Speaker 6: say you know what, fuck you.
- 53:35Speaker 7: To one of her exes.
- 53:36Speaker 1: Yeah, fantastic stuff. And now I see why you went
- 53:40Speaker 1: with the re release with Taylor's version for the for
- 53:43Speaker 1: the extra.
- 53:44Speaker 7: I gotten mad feels got that album. I love that
- 53:46Speaker 7: album so fucking much.
- 53:48Speaker 8: It's such a good one. Oh my god, oh god.
- 53:52Speaker 1: An excellent drag through the swamps of Louisiana. Fantastic line.
- 53:55Speaker 1: That a whole point just for that, all right, I mean,
- 53:59Speaker 1: call from your fellow Swifties, Caroline, What did you make
- 54:03Speaker 1: of that?
- 54:03Speaker 8: I have to agree. And I think that the real
- 54:06Speaker 8: specifically in the point you brought up with the re release,
- 54:08Speaker 8: that it brought new information to light that no one
- 54:12Speaker 8: knew about was is part of the greatness of that album.
- 54:15Speaker 8: And thank you so much for capturing.
- 54:17Speaker 5: That nice nice and Jen, I mean for our resident
- 54:22Speaker 5: tum word early Audra. Yes, those TV releases there at
- 54:27Speaker 5: the end brutal, like it's just it really documented things
- 54:33Speaker 5: that were yeah, brought to light in a way that
- 54:36Speaker 5: was very fun and jovial, but also like again, I agree, Joe,
- 54:40Speaker 5: it gives you a little bit more of Taylor.
- 54:41Speaker 3: That's like I was too thought the first time. Let's
- 54:44Speaker 3: do this again.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Yeah, people thought I was happy with you after nineteen
- 54:48Speaker 2: eighty nine.
- 54:48Speaker 3: Let's make sure I knew. I know that. I want
- 54:51Speaker 3: you to know how I feel.
- 54:52Speaker 4: Now I need an accurate representation of this.
- 54:56Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm buried, but I'm like, I'm putting you undergrown now.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Yeah, And was was the re release was around the
- 55:05Speaker 1: time that sort of Harry was the world's leading soft boy, right,
- 55:08Speaker 1: so he was like very much there as like a
- 55:11Speaker 1: triple A lister in the pot.
- 55:13Speaker 3: Well it's when he got Album of the Year, So
- 55:15Speaker 3: it was.
- 55:16Speaker 5: It was nineteen eighty nine was released in LA last year.
- 55:20Speaker 5: I missed it by three days and.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Grammys were obviously happening, and everyone was like.
- 55:26Speaker 5: Oh my god, are we going to get a Harry
- 55:27Speaker 5: Styles like Taylor collaboration? Are we going to get Hairy
- 55:32Speaker 5: on style? That would be so fun. They interacted at
- 55:35Speaker 5: the Grammys and he won.
- 55:36Speaker 2: It was a whole thing, and then.
- 55:37Speaker 3: We heard it and we're.
- 55:38Speaker 4: Like, oh, that's not happening.
- 55:41Speaker 6: What I said to him at the Grammys was I'm
- 55:44Speaker 6: warning you now, this next few like months are going
- 55:47Speaker 6: to be shity.
- 55:48Speaker 5: I'm so happy you one album of the year. I'm
- 55:51Speaker 5: so excited to bury that and I'm sarty.
- 55:54Speaker 7: To bury it.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Stuff and Uldra a quick sentence comment.
- 55:59Speaker 4: Oh, I've said all of my thoughts in response to
- 56:04Speaker 4: people wonderful. I will probably go listen to those so
- 56:07Speaker 4: that I have a full context of what has been said.
- 56:09Speaker 1: Nice.
- 56:10Speaker 6: I will tell you it gives very nineties vibes with
- 56:13Speaker 6: like the newer the Vault songs, like they feel familiar
- 56:18Speaker 6: to me.
- 56:20Speaker 7: I like, I think I like them.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I can.
- 56:22Speaker 5: I can highlight some passages in the Bible too, to
- 56:25Speaker 5: give you a thank you. Weed through some of the mass,
- 56:30Speaker 5: just give you the ones that that hit different.
- 56:33Speaker 1: If you will love lovely stuff, Oldra. You are last
- 56:39Speaker 1: up on the stage in front of the screaming Swift Maniacs.
- 56:42Speaker 4: Yes, seventy thousand Swift of Maniacs eighty thousand. They came
- 56:47Speaker 4: back for jos.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Oldra, what what era of Taylor Swift will you be defending?
- 56:54Speaker 4: I will be defending reputation.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Of course, reputation is being defended by Audra. Are you ready?
- 57:02Speaker 3: Yes?
- 57:03Speaker 1: Okay, your time starts now.
- 57:06Speaker 4: One of the amazing things about Taylor Swift's discography and
- 57:09Speaker 4: the idea of eras is that each of these can
- 57:12Speaker 4: speak to each of us at a different point in
- 57:14Speaker 4: time in our life. Reputation being released when she had
- 57:17Speaker 4: been a little bit out of the out of the
- 57:19Speaker 4: spotlight and responding to like criticism from things miss like
- 57:26Speaker 4: I will not be fucked with? What is that if
- 57:31Speaker 4: not a villain era?
- 57:34Speaker 6: What is that?
- 57:34Speaker 4: If not a villain era? So I personally connect Like
- 57:37Speaker 4: the most important things about these are the connections to
- 57:40Speaker 4: the fans, and so if this is the one that
- 57:42Speaker 4: connects to me conceptually most at this time, it's the
- 57:46Speaker 4: best one. Also, some of the things that she will
- 57:50Speaker 4: have done at the time will have been perceived as like, oh,
- 57:52Speaker 4: she's trying to be so edgy and hardcore, but it's
- 57:55Speaker 4: just coming off as like a little bit a little
- 57:58Speaker 4: uh cringe, because you're not that hardcore? What is that
- 58:01Speaker 4: if not me trying to set a healthy boundary. That's
- 58:05Speaker 4: the same thing. Very good.
- 58:11Speaker 1: I stand by it, quick quick shout out for it's
- 58:14Speaker 1: the best because I connect to it. That's pretty good.
- 58:16Speaker 4: Yeah, what is this fandom? If not that?
- 58:22Speaker 1: All right, let's let's have some comments from the swifties. Joe,
- 58:25Speaker 1: what did you make of that?
- 58:27Speaker 7: Yes?
- 58:28Speaker 4: Yes, and miss thank you and miscellaneous Thanks.
- 58:39Speaker 8: Caroline, Yeah, brilliant, so true. I when I listened through
- 58:44Speaker 8: the Ariostour set list in the car with my mom
- 58:47Speaker 8: and we got to a reputation, she went, this is
- 58:49Speaker 8: Taylor Swift, so and I think you captured that energy.
- 58:54Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 58:58Speaker 5: Yeah, I really appreciate again kind of taking it out
- 59:02Speaker 5: of the celebrity but into the like conceit and purpose
- 59:06Speaker 5: of why she constructs the albums, like yeah, like that
- 59:10Speaker 5: came out so long ago and you're like, yeah, I'm
- 59:13Speaker 5: tapping in right now. But also I think it's also
- 59:16Speaker 5: that like going from go girl to bad girl, like oh,
- 59:19Speaker 5: good girl too. I'm gonna tell you off kind of
- 59:21Speaker 5: crazy because you're still flexing that muscle.
- 59:25Speaker 4: You don't know how to do it yet.
- 59:27Speaker 5: Taylor and reputation Taylor two different people, and you know what,
- 59:31Speaker 5: she got better at calling people out and it starts there,
- 59:36Speaker 5: you know, and they're like, no, I'm going to set
- 59:38Speaker 5: a boundary. I'm gonna say my thoughts. Yeah, just a
- 59:41Speaker 5: hard one the first time, you know, or she handcakes
- 59:44Speaker 5: and all that.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Yeah, oh very good stuff.
- 59:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 59:48Speaker 1: I think I think the Swifties must have been really
- 59:50Speaker 1: happy with defending the eras I can hand them screaming.
- 59:54Speaker 1: But it's like just because Taylor's all next, so yeah,
- 59:57Speaker 1: that's that might be. Why do would anyone want to
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: like nominate and put forward who they think deserves the
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: bonus points?
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: I feel like I, as the least knowledgeable, should probably
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: not be the first to make I don't have the
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: same little amount of rights in this space.
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: I think I would make the argument for Adre to
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: get the bonus point because you have the least amount,
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: and as a third party looking in, you were able
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: to relate to a discography and era that is of
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: high contention and often spaces whether you like stand behind
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: it as like oh my god, it's so amazing or
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: like mid album dude. The mixing also is rough. I'm
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: excited for the Rate record because the mixing will be better,
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: but also if you watch Reputation Tour, that's when a
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: lot of people like got it because like live the
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: songs just are so good. But I really like, I
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: liked the positioning of how it related to you personally,
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: seeing the way, Yeah, it can be cringe, it can
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: be hard, but like that's also how it feels when
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: you set a boundary for the first time, or like
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: are nervous about putting yourself out there. So I think
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: it's the strongest argument by way of like connecting directly
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: to it and like also having sympathy, like, yeah, you
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: were trying something and it worked, but like.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: You know, you got to try it.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: You've converted me. I'm a swiftie. It wasn't an album,
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: it was it's an experience. Gen's validation of my.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: So we all in agreement with Jen Uldra gets the
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: bonus point there.
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: Actually I was going to say you had me at
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: this is what it's like when I said a boundary.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: You said that.
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: I was like, sad is reputation in a nutshell, and
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: I have to agree. Yeah, I think I want to
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: give it to are.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Very good. Uldra is resurrected officially, everyone else is metaphorically dead. Okay,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: very good, good stuff, all right, that is the end
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: of the round. Let's get one of Taylor's collaborators to
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: calculate the latest scores. I don't know one of the
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Desna twins. There's two of them, they can spare one.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Surely those scores are the antithetical dream Girls are on
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: thirteen points, but the Poet Torturing Department are now in
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: the lead with fourteen points.
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: You purposely put us both at thirteen points. You six
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: fuck you know what you did?
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: Just for that, I'm gonna grab a sharpie and write
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: thirteen on my.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: They're right there. I can do it right now.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: I don't even know I'm making these references.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: You on ironically had thirteen both teams that I knew
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: that one.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that was just me really, yeah, I know it now.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: I'm aware now. But I was just like, all right,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: I was just adding points as you said, great things.
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: Oh so it was just fat that day.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: That's good, just to say, mastermind, I feel Taylor Swift
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: in the room with.
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: Us right now.
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: Here.
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: You have a moment of silence. Taylor Swift is in
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: the room with us right now. Mother Taylor Pua.
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: Spirit, you are welcome here. Sorry to trigger everyone in
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: the room and our listeners.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Very next before we trigger anyone any further. Round three
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: next after these commercials. As tempting as it is, please
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: don't skip them, as I also have dreams of becoming
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: a girl Boss billionaire and the four sense we get
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: per listen really helps us out, So thank you. Round
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: three is called merch Table. It's our game about the
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: weird and wonderful world of fandom merchandise. I have here
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: two lists of Taylor Swift merch one from Etsy dot
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Com and one from Facebook Marketplace. Each will make their
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: way through one of the lists and from just a
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: listing title and one single photo that I will drop
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: into our discord group chat. They must say if they
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: think the next item is listed for higher or lower
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: than the previous item in the list. The team in
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: last place, which is currently Yeah, it is the antithetical
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: dream goals. Yeah. You get to decide which list, Jen, Joe,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: would you like Etsy dot Com or Facebook Marketplace?
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: Uh?
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: Etsy, I say, Joe, you made the car.
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: I've done this game before, and I've done both, so
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: I feel like I you to feel comfortable.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: Different kind of delusion, Yes, and you have to guess
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: the delusion.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: M hmm Okay, so antithetical dream goals, your first item,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: your first listing that you are guessing the price for,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: and if you get close, I'll give you a point
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: or two. Is the listing title? Is Taylor's face engraved
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: on a wooden spoon with joke message birth Day, Christmas,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Mother's Day gift I'm sending you.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: The CEO is getting crazy.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sending you that image.
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: Now, why is it that one? And it's it's photo realistic.
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: Yeah, that's funny.
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: It's not even like an artistic representation of Taylor Swift.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: Baker's gonna bake, bake big, big, big ellipses.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: You can see what they're doing there. How do you
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: think they've listed that foot on Etsy? We're just the
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: first item doesn't the series thirty, but.
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: It's you gotta establish a line. So that's the hard part.
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: I think the first one is the hardest. Thirty around thirty,
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: if not a little bit less. But that's where I'm at.
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: I was gonna go like twenty six ninety nine or
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: something stupid like that, where you would it would be
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: lower than thirty because people would be like, this is
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: too much if it's thirty, yep.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: But enough, So.
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: Twenty six ninety nine is perfect.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Okay, nine, I can't give you a point from this.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: It's it's actually ten dollars and fourteen cents bgain. This
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: is listed at you can marget. It could be a
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: baker who's going to bake, bake, bake for ten bucks.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Argain.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: It is hard to set the benchmark, but now it's
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: there at ten dollars and fourteen cents. So from this
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: point forward you don't need to give a number, just
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: higher or lower than ten dollars and fourteen cents. So
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: here is your next item. Taylor Swift angry Banana, handmade figure, gift,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Swifty with Love.
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: Angry banana?
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: What angry?
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: But what is the item in that?
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: Oh my god, this is the description. If you could
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: you read the description again for me as I'm while
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: I'm looking at the idea.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Tylor Swift, angry banana, hand made figure, gifts, Swifty with love.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: She does angry angry. Yeah, she looks quite joyous to
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: be performing for eighty thousand other bananas.
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: If that's like.
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: The brand name of like like, oh, they make angry bananas,
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: but it's always like pop punko kind of stuff.
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: You know, maybe it's there.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: Yeah, many funkos are not funky. Uh huh.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: No, for sure higher than lower than ten dollars. This
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: looks hand painted. I'd say higher, I'd say higher.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: You're both saying higher. It is indeed higher. This is
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: listed for forty five dollars.
- 1:07:38Speaker 8: Oh h, I don't know if it's forty five dollars higher.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: Definitely more than ten, but forty five.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: But that is a point there, So your new number
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: is forty five dollars. Next up we have swifty Guess
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Who board game Taylor Swift, featuring her eras friends, enemies,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: and exes.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Oh, I want a lot of work. I want that.
- 1:08:06Speaker 8: Send me the link birthday gift.
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: I genuinely have to be making these for other fandoms
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: because I think it would be so fun.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: I love guests who games honestly get messy.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: Make one for our friend group, who.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Are the enemies who with the exes same?
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: I might do it.
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: I need that in my life.
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: Okay, well it's not a full Guess Who blank, which
- 1:08:34Speaker 5: means they went through the problem of going and buying
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: a Guess Who game, probably on eBay, and then printing
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: out all of these pictures. I think I don't think
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: it's I don't think it's forty five dollars though less
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: than forty five.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: Oh, I haven't been right yet, so we probably shouldn't
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: go with what I'm saying.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: That's part of the game.
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: But I don't think it's more than forty five dollars.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: Value and marketplace very different.
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: Let's go fuck it, let's go lower.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: Let's see what happens. It's probably ninety dollars.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: But okay, you go and lower than forty five. It's
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: actually higher. It's forty five eighty eight, I am indeed.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: But yeah, it's a very good, h very good. I thought, yeah,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: much more creative, I mean more creative than the banana.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Maybe it's just because I don't like the banana as much.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: But that's fair.
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: I mean there's work here, there's a lot, there's cutting
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: out the little faces, there's you know, that's a lot of.
- 1:09:38Speaker 8: A lot of time and love.
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: Yes, and I like the amount that if one were
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: to have this, you could you could play games with it.
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: Can I have? Yeah, their swifties, It would be very fun.
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: I do love that The front line is Calvin Harris,
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: the Red Era, Lana del Rey Joe Jonas, Blake Live
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: Lee and Tom Hidleston.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: What a front bro the classic guess who's do they
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: have a mustache?
- 1:10:04Speaker 8: Who's who's that?
- 1:10:05Speaker 6: Am? I?
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Oh my god? Good stuff. Okay, your next item and
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: forty five eighty is your number. Your next item. Travis
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Kelsey and Taylor Swift. Bathroom print eleven by seventeen inches
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: bathroom print.
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: Bathroom print is there?
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: It is?
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: That means my bathroom.
- 1:10:30Speaker 8: God. I want this so badly.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, okay, I know, I know this is going
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: to sound like insane, but I think it's less.
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: Insane.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: Look at the rubbery ducky.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: It's the perspective on Travis is.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: Just so this looks so wrong, Like I.
- 1:10:59Speaker 8: M hm, Taylor looks like looks like a drag queen.
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: She does.
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: And I mean that as a compliment.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: Yeah, but it is.
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: It looks like Loganza Estrada doing Taylor Swift.
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: Yes, yes, okay, I was like, this looks like Leganjo'stranda
- 1:11:14Speaker 8: doing Taylor Swift.
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, So it's just a just the end of
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: that long seo list was print, correct, It was just
- 1:11:27Speaker 5: just a brand.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: That's definitely cheaper than forty five dollars.
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: It's an original, but it's a print, like it's it's
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: someone through it, but it's a print.
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: So I think less than forty five eighty you going lower?
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: It is.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Indeed, twenty seven dollars for this one. You can pick
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: it up for the low low price.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: Wow, incredible. Under fifty bucks you could have this Taylor
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: Shift thing and the spoon.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: Oh what a bargain.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: Bargain, what a bar.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Okay, after the nightmare fuel of that image is, let's
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: put something else in. Okay, twenty seven dollars is your
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: new number. Okay, here is your next item. Taylor Swifty
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: merch planter live plant plants gift for her hybrid materials plants.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: See we're kidding bananas.
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: And also crazy.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Okay, yes, we've we've kind of got like a bust
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: of Taylor Swift with a plant that can grow out
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: of her head to be like hair.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: It looks like an air plant, and I'd say it's
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: an airplant. So someone just like stuck that on the back.
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: Okay, did you say three D printed?
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: I don't think that's one of them. It's hard because
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: half of the words are just plant.
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: Yeah, plant, No.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Three d hybrid materials is in hybrid, that's.
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: Three duck, that's the LA that's three difful I do conceptually,
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: I like this idea because I think there are there
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: are a lot of things that are like this type
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: of white bust.
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: Of like close six ten years.
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: This sounds weird. I think they needed to remove more
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: of her skull. Yeah, I have to make more of
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: that classical style.
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: Yeah, and just have like right here.
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, twenty seven. I could see it
- 1:13:17Speaker 5: being higher, but not by much or just lower. Like
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: it feels like we're twenty seven, is what I would say.
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: It is kind of thing, so that being the level.
- 1:13:28Speaker 5: See there's tricksy. Yeah, it's in the same ballpark.
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: I think it's a little bit higher just because of
- 1:13:35Speaker 6: the fact that it's including the plant.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: Does the plant come with it?
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Well, I believe they of the right and they say
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: plants on the stypes.
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: It should I think, honestly read that's fair. It's I
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: should be more sure that the plant is coming than
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: the planter.
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's that's fair. Yeah, I would say more
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: because of the plant. It feels like it would be
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: something where it's like twenty five to that plant or
- 1:13:58Speaker 5: thirty five with it.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Trump, So let's go higher.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: You're going higher. It is indeed higher. It's all the
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: way up there at forty nine dollars.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: Fucking shit, that's more expensive than the banana.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, that both of those handcrafted items that I
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: assume a machine didn't do. Machine, I am.
- 1:14:23Speaker 7: I don't want to know about if a machine can
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: make that banana. That that worries me.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Machine.
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: Hey, guys already doing a lot of scary stuff.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: So forty nine dollars is your number for your final
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: item in your Etsy list. Torture Poets Department lyrics skirt?
- 1:14:47Speaker 7: Oh oh is this like the Oh okay, mmm, that's cute.
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: I just like that.
- 1:14:57Speaker 8: The word daddy is so visible. You're right, it's quite
- 1:15:04Speaker 8: prominent among the right daddy.
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: I love him the best clearest word or daddy.
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: Also the positioning of I keep recalling things we never did,
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: being right in the front of the top, front of
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: the skirt. But this is a screen print job, so
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: I would say it's more than forty nine. That's gonna
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: be materials. That's going to be like if they print
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: that fabric, it did not keep in multiple sizes, in
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: multiple sizes it being a garment, so I would say
- 1:15:40Speaker 5: more than forty nine.
- 1:15:42Speaker 7: I'm trusting your judgment on that. You know what that's about.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Okay, are you saying more than forty nine? Yeah, it's
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: actually lower really, Yeah, thirty eight dollars. Yeah, took the
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: middle size of it because I do think they had
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: They differed by about a dollar per per size.
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: But you can pick out a lot of them up.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: Wow, that hard round the park.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's tough. It can be tough reading how
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: much different fans think something is worth on on Etsy.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: There's obviously no way of telling how many versions of
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: each of these things have sold. Yeah, but it is
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: a nice trip around the merch fandom, the fandom, the
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: tailor swift fandom. In merch, the second batch of cold
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: pills are kicking in, all right, And with that, let's
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: move on over to the poet torturing department, and you
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: are left with the Facebook marketplace, so more of it
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: will be official merchandise, but it is sort of the
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: the unhinged selling points, the price points of different fans
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: in different locations around America. And for the for your images.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: For this, I couldn't get the Facebook app to work
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: on my phone or anything. It would just keep crashing,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: and so I had to like take photos on my screen.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: So it's like when you're your mom finds something and
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: it has those like slight distortion lines to it.
- 1:17:05Speaker 8: It adds to the vibe. I think, right, this fits
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: it's ambiance.
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: If anything, this is going to help us assess the
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: quality of Absolutely, Adre, we got this.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Absolutely Okay, your first listing that you're trying to guess
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: a price for Taylor Swift cassettes, Bracket six never played,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: not once?
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: Is that a Taylor Swift reference that I don't get?
- 1:17:32Speaker 8: No, it's just funny. It's just.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: All caps. They were very insistent.
- 1:17:40Speaker 7: Once.
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: Okay, was she releasing cassettes or did they record these
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: albums onto cassettes?
- 1:17:49Speaker 8: That was what I was thinking. I think that they
- 1:17:51Speaker 8: recorded these albums onto cassettes. And here's why these photos
- 1:17:56Speaker 8: look like they printed them out and then stuck them
- 1:18:00Speaker 8: in there in the sleeved right. However, Facebook marketplace is
- 1:18:06Speaker 8: a place where people love to be like here, never
- 1:18:09Speaker 8: played once. I'm gonna charge five hundred dollars for these.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: So I don't know, bellas you're going with five hundred dollars.
- 1:18:16Speaker 8: Now, so what do you think, Rodra.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: I was gonna say, I don't know why fifty comes
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: to mind.
- 1:18:25Speaker 8: I was gonna say, eighty. Do we want to settle
- 1:18:28Speaker 8: on like sixty five?
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: Yes?
- 1:18:30Speaker 8: I feel comfortable with that. Okay, we're gonna go sixty five.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: You're gonna go sixty five. I'm actually gonna give you
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: a point for this because you are kind of close
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: in the Grand Scheme of things, it's listed at seventy five.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Oh okay, yeah, so even with eighty as well, Caroline
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: saying that up top, very close, incredible, So I'm gonna
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: throw out a point for that. Seventy five is your
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: number that you're down. Okay, let's see where you go
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: with this. Hiro loa the seventy five okay. Taylor Swift
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: reputation era twenty eighteen to a confetti eleven pisces. I
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: got classic, No need to spell check a listing. Who
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: needs to do that?
- 1:19:14Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, this is so funny. Okay, this could
- 1:19:18Speaker 8: be a hot item, Madra. Yeah, I'm gonna be real like.
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: Especially since it's eleven pisces of it?
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:19:27Speaker 8: Oh yeah, right for eleven pisces. And oh I'm sorry.
- 1:19:34Speaker 8: When you said that, I was like, oh, interesting. They
- 1:19:37Speaker 8: must have had different zodiac themes for the confetti.
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: That was my brain cell.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: I just I delivered it the driest right that one could.
- 1:19:46Speaker 8: But however, Swifty would pay a lot of dollars for this,
- 1:19:50Speaker 8: I'd say, m hm. And for that reason, Andre, I
- 1:19:54Speaker 8: do think it is higher.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: Let's let's go higher, higher than seventy five eleven pisces.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: It is actually lower. Yeah, for eleven pieces of this,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: It's a thirty dollars you can get for eleven. I
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: think they all just like dropped at the.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: End, like isn't on Netflix anymore?
- 1:20:12Speaker 5: I know, so they more, but yeah, that was that
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: like full ass competti that they dropped was like, she
- 1:20:20Speaker 5: is nothing if not there for the fame or bit.
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: It was the giant Oh he is there for the bit.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: Okay, So thirty dollars is the Let's see your next
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: listing which is listed as Taylor swift eras inspired party
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: lot you get everything pictured will not separate.
- 1:20:44Speaker 7: That on Facebook place will not separate.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: I'm like, what are they attached to it? Have they
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: bonded a bonded pair?
- 1:20:54Speaker 8: There's a lot to look at giving mom's child how
- 1:20:59Speaker 8: to Taylor Swift birthday party, and now they're trying to
- 1:21:01Speaker 8: sell all the items from the party. There's two routes
- 1:21:06Speaker 8: we could go Audra if it's lower, will not separate
- 1:21:09Speaker 8: means the price is so low it would be ridiculous
- 1:21:12Speaker 8: not to buy everything.
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: She's trying to get rid of all of this, like
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: she would like to recoup at least some of the money,
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: but she's got to get this.
- 1:21:21Speaker 8: Out of her house, right kind of, or she wants
- 1:21:25Speaker 8: to like make money off make money off of this.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: Can you recognize any of the items that are there?
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: Want to shout out anything that's a that's going on
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Taylor Swift themed?
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: I do.
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: I like the friendship bracelet, happy birthday sign. I do
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: think that's quite nice.
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: That's that is nice. Bottom le corner. We got some
- 1:21:41Speaker 8: coloring pages, taylorswoft coloring pages.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I think her cat's there as well.
- 1:21:47Speaker 8: Yeah, that's I think that might be Benjamin Button. I
- 1:21:52Speaker 8: don't know. Oh, in the disco ball plates a lot. Okay,
- 1:21:58Speaker 8: here's what I think is happening in this f I
- 1:22:01Speaker 8: think child decided she hated Taylor Swift suddenly, and so
- 1:22:05Speaker 8: and so they had to change the theme of the
- 1:22:06Speaker 8: birthday party really last minute.
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: So mom is just you know what I mean.
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: I love the world building.
- 1:22:14Speaker 8: Listen, there's a story.
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: The more I think I agree because of the how
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: the central placement of the snake, she is very relevant.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: Yes, my child is a snake.
- 1:22:28Speaker 8: What do you think? Do you think it's lower or
- 1:22:30Speaker 8: higher than thirty dollars?
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: Let's go lower.
- 1:22:34Speaker 8: I think it's lower.
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: Let's go lower.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Right, Going lower will not separate, It's actually higher.
- 1:22:40Speaker 4: She's trying to make her money back.
- 1:22:42Speaker 5: Can I note something about this picture? Yes, I think
- 1:22:45Speaker 5: the I think Caroline has it. None of these cups
- 1:22:48Speaker 5: or plates are open.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm used.
- 1:22:51Speaker 8: This is not used.
- 1:22:53Speaker 5: This is either someone is selling this as like I'm
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: really good at putting a lot of Taylor Swift stuff
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: together and therefore.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: I am providing it to by doing that for you.
- 1:23:01Speaker 5: This is like or kid, Yeah, it's a party kit,
- 1:23:04Speaker 5: it's my whatever, or my kid told me they want
- 1:23:08Speaker 5: to change their birthday party two days before the birthday party,
- 1:23:11Speaker 5: and now I have all this stuff.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: But I just really rit the non opened cups.
- 1:23:16Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, there's a real cat in the background.
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: I was just noticing that.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: Is that a.
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: Cool?
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: Can I do that at home?
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: Everything must go?
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: Will not separate, well, will not separate the baby gates
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: in the back, the plants in the back, plant planter.
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: Plants plant plant or plants plant.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: Yes, maybe that's why they're listening listing it for one
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars. Oh no, that is the chaos
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: of Facebook marketplace.
- 1:23:48Speaker 8: Take the cat.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: So one hundred and fifty is your new number for
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: your next listing? Is this high or low than one
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars? Taylor sway all too well, snow
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: Globe some very official merch now after the chaos of
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: that last one.
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: Wow, because I am in other fandoms, this just looks
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: like a werewood tree to me, Game of Thrones, like
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: white tree, red leaves. Oh yeah, the like base of
- 1:24:19Speaker 4: it right right feels very Game of Thrones. I know
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: it's not, but I just have to shout it out no,
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: because I'm gonna be thinking about it.
- 1:24:26Speaker 8: Yeah, Otter, why don't you do some speculating because I've
- 1:24:29Speaker 8: been taking the reins and it has not been going
- 1:24:31Speaker 8: very well.
- 1:24:33Speaker 4: I feel I have no one hundred and fifty. I
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: my personal beliefs about how much something should cost is
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: fully irrelevant within this space, right, But I can't separate
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: the fact that I think this should not be more
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: than one hundred and fifty dollars.
- 1:24:51Speaker 8: Unless it was limited edition merch Oh, but I don't know.
- 1:24:57Speaker 8: I don't know. I don't know enough about Taylor Swift
- 1:24:59Speaker 8: merchandise except the emails that I get in my inbox.
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: So yeah, that's we've we've had our our instincts have
- 1:25:10Speaker 4: been wrong so much. Do we just want to say
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: higher and just say let's let's go higher, Bucke, let's
- 1:25:16Speaker 4: do it higher.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: Saying higher reputation era, I like it. Yeah, two hundred
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: and seventy.
- 1:25:21Speaker 8: Five dollars, So yeah, brilliant, brilliant.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: There is a point, and it was very limited edition.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: I think like five hundred of them were made.
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: That makes more sense.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: But okay, two hundred and seventy five is your number
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: for a snow globe.
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: No, thank you.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: Your next item is Taylor Swift cutout cardboard, diet Coke.
- 1:25:46Speaker 4: Diet Coke, Taylor.
- 1:25:47Speaker 8: I have a vision in my mind of what this
- 1:25:49Speaker 8: looks like, and this is almost exactly what it's going
- 1:25:51Speaker 8: to look Click.
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: Wow, Wow, Wow.
- 1:25:55Speaker 7: One of my best friends would probably kill for that.
- 1:25:58Speaker 8: I want this so badly.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: What is the poster in the background.
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: Oh yes, it's one direction one direction? Yeahcause that looks
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: like that one of them and that other one of them.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:26:14Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, I only read the word at the bottom,
- 1:26:18Speaker 5: like seeing the little bit of one direction.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't tell. But this is amazing.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: And they don't say will not separate, so the post
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: does not included.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: Ah, god, damn it. I feel like we're sitting with
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: a two hundred and seventy five, right, I feel like
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: less than two hundred and seventy five, and I feel
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: more confident about this. Okay, yeah, this is If this
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: is more than two hundred and seventy five, I think
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: I might have to message this person.
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: That's fair. But what if this is from like a
- 1:26:57Speaker 8: super exclusive random promo from twenty thirteen or you know,
- 1:27:02Speaker 8: twenty twelve that this still exists in the world. You
- 1:27:05Speaker 8: know what I'm saying, because yeah, when we're talking fans
- 1:27:08Speaker 8: space collector's items, things get a little crazy, you know.
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: But I'll go with your gut. We went with my
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: gut on the last one. No, I don't agree with
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: my gut.
- 1:27:22Speaker 8: I think it's also the last two months have been higher,
- 1:27:25Speaker 8: which makes me think this has to be lower, you
- 1:27:27Speaker 8: know what, game play wise, this.
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: Is the play I always do when I play with Matt.
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: I'm like, but what you put that many highers back
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: to back just to.
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: Mess with us?
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: Sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes not.
- 1:27:43Speaker 4: It's got to be lower than this, gotta be. Let's go.
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: Let's go lower, just based on sanity.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: Okay, but yeah, you're going lower. It is lower, but
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: only just. It's two hundred and fifty dollars.
- 1:27:55Speaker 8: For this, probably for the reason probably you know, get
- 1:27:58Speaker 8: those calves though. Yeah, dude, incredible. Listen, I'm not a boober,
- 1:28:04Speaker 8: but girl, I'm a Cavs girl.
- 1:28:06Speaker 7: Yeah, understandable.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think you must have been right about
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: the year as well. It feels very twenty thirteen. Yeah,
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: as an appetizing.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: Paint color as well.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: I think it's like everything about this picture screens twenty thirteen.
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: It's so I love it. Yeah, I love it.
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: Okay. Two hundred and fifty is your number for the
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: final item in your Facebook marketplace list. Taylor Swift, Wonderstruck
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: perfume and handlotion Majority Fall.
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: Look Well majority full majority for fifty.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: Well wow, oh my, I thought I dreamed that up.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: No, the existence of this item.
- 1:28:49Speaker 7: Yes, because it looks it reminds me so much of
- 1:28:51Speaker 7: a Britney Spears.
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: Perfume.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: I think it's fantishry pet perfume as it's listed here.
- 1:28:58Speaker 8: Heem sorry perfume. Yeah.
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: I just always have to say when Wonderstruck is brought
- 1:29:03Speaker 5: up that Enchanted was written about the lead of Owl City,
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: and that just feels so incredibly specific to the tie.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: Yes, we have this lotion and perfume because of the
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: lead singer of.
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: Owls, Adam Young. What have you done?
- 1:29:19Speaker 7: I a small tidbit about myself.
- 1:29:24Speaker 6: I was so in love with that man my senior
- 1:29:26Speaker 6: year of high school that when I went to youth
- 1:29:28Speaker 6: camp that summer, I had missus owl City on the bottom.
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: Of my shop.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: Yes, yeah and two thousand and nine.
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I was so obsessed with him. I did know
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: his full his Christian name, his non owl City.
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: Gosh, I'm not Adam Young. I'm gonna feel dumb, but
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: I think.
- 1:29:50Speaker 7: That it is Adam Yeah.
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: Yeah, So Matt, can I get some clarification? Yes, quickly?
- 1:29:55Speaker 8: Did you like find this on Facebook? Marketplace, like recently,
- 1:29:59Speaker 8: like you just found this, yeah, I.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: Mean full disclosure, it was about a month ago.
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: That's the.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: This.
- 1:30:06Speaker 8: Yees.
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know the cultural relevance of this item.
- 1:30:11Speaker 8: This has to be Oh my god, listen, I don't
- 1:30:16Speaker 8: agree that it should be more than two hundred and
- 1:30:17Speaker 8: fifty dollars, however you believe it may I think it
- 1:30:21Speaker 8: probably might be perhaps because who once used lotion?
- 1:30:28Speaker 4: That is fair. But the look on at least Jen's
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: face when it was mentioned, her being like I remember,
- 1:30:35Speaker 4: oh my god.
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: Oh it was a cultural moment because it was when
- 1:30:40Speaker 5: she was doing the like Mariah Carey Britney spears like
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: she is doing the pop start thing, you have to
- 1:30:44Speaker 5: come out with a perfume, and it was just so
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: funny that was called wonder Strack and then oh enchanted
- 1:30:49Speaker 5: speaks now, and then it being that this song was
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: written about a five minute interaction she had with Adam
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: Young from Awol City, and that it's just like anytime this.
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: Era of things is brought up, my brain just as.
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: Like this seems overwhelmed, Like yeah, it's like short circuits
- 1:31:08Speaker 4: with too much Yeah.
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: So that was not in reference to the items, just
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: anytime this is brought up, it just all of it
- 1:31:15Speaker 5: comes out.
- 1:31:18Speaker 4: Let's let's go higher. Let's let's be bold.
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: To sell this and not throwing it away because it's
- 1:31:27Speaker 8: it's like old lotion and perfume. Would know that this
- 1:31:30Speaker 8: has value.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: You know, So you're saying higher than two hundred and fifty.
- 1:31:34Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, let's go.
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: Well, I'd like to make myself believe that it is,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: but it's it's it's a it's lower, it's one hundred
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: and fifty.
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: Oh wow, honestly, relief, I know, I'm like a little
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: glad we're wrong.
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: And that's only because it's not unopened, right, only because
- 1:31:53Speaker 5: it's majority full.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: Genuinely, the unopened ones were going for three four hundred,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: five hundred dollars.
- 1:31:59Speaker 5: Not makes that's that's the line of thought that Caroline
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: was on them afterward.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: Sense, Yeah, because like I said, majority full could just
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: be fifty one percent, And are you going to take
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: that gamble?
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: Oh, bring a scale when you go to buy this items,
- 1:32:12Speaker 4: Bring a scale exactly how much is majority full? Thank you?
- 1:32:18Speaker 8: Thank you?
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: Good stuff that. Yeah. The list's very tough, but it
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: was fun to go go through all of the wacky
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: world of Taylor Swift.
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: That was a roller coaster. Thank you.
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: That is the end of round three. Let's use the
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: hidden codes and numerological messages I've scattered throughout this podcast
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: to calculate the latest scores, and those scores are the
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: antithetical dream Girls are on sixteen points. The Poet Torturing
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: department still in the lead, but only just with seventeen points.
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: Yeah, that was a hard round. Now I've done better
- 1:32:55Speaker 5: with like standard eyed peas. But this fandom chaost.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: Unpredictable, and yeah it can. It can all change in
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: the quick fire around our final round. But before we
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: get to that, let's talk prizes. This episode. Star prize
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: is the concept of heartbreak. I know, not the best
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: concept to hold on to, but you can turn it
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: into very successful art. So there you go. But our
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: winning team will also receive Taylor Swift, wonder Struck, perfume,
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: and hand lotion, Majority.
- 1:33:25Speaker 3: Phone, but not not for.
- 1:33:32Speaker 4: As as we said earlier, we make about four cents
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: per stream of this podcast.
- 1:33:37Speaker 8: You're not buying one hundred and fifty dollars Majority Fall.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: One day. One day we'll be able to give those
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: away as the best. But up next is our crucial
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: quick fire around. First, we must play one final set
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: of ads. If you'd like this episode printed on purple
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: vinyl or a version with twice as many rounds follow
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: at Gateleaper's pod on Insta for our ex exclusive limited
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: edition merch drops only joking, we don't have any of
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: that with that capitalism. Our final quick fire around will
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: test our players broader pop culture knowledge, and it's called
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: a list of average men. We had to eventually get
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: to the people who inspired many of Taylor's songs, the
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: Dreaded x's, and they're from across the world of pop culture,
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: loads of different creative disciplines. So thanks Tatay for dating
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: so diverse in your genres of white men. Yeah, this game,
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: I will give our players clues to amuse from Taylor
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: Swift's pantheon. Those clues will be lyrics that a majority
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: of Swifties agree is about that person. I'm so sorry
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: if there's disagreement, but the majority, at least as I
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: found online. But I'm going to read them like spoken
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: word poetry to try and throw you off, so they're
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: not musical. Oh and there's of course a classic gate
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: Leapers twist. You need to say we are never ever
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: getting back together with And then the name of the X.
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: It's quick fire. So you buzz in by yelling out
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: your team name. Let's practice that now.
- 1:35:16Speaker 8: Poet torturing department, Tour, Poet torturing department.
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: I might, I might go with poet about it.
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: If you guys do poet and we do anti, that's
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: like the same amount of that.
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: Because we got a big word.
- 1:35:30Speaker 5: And yeah, like antithetical rolls off the tongue, but not
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: when you're trying to like, it's.
- 1:35:37Speaker 4: Fun to say because it's a bit of a jumble exactly,
- 1:35:41Speaker 4: but that's not necessarily conducive. Yeah, exactly to a buzz in.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: Okay, anti versus poet.
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: I love it, anti poet.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: So I'll give you an example. And in plain sight,
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: you hid, but you are what you did, and I'll
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: forget you, but I'll never forgive the smallest man who
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: ever lived. Yes, Jen, Matty he that is matty heel.
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: Yes, its practice round.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: That was just the practice. So it's all good, but
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: well done, Aldre, because i'd completely forgotten the rule I
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: set in place.
- 1:36:25Speaker 5: I love that.
- 1:36:26Speaker 3: In the Gaily Personal it was odra to remind you.
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's excellent. So, yeah, you can interrupt me at
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: any point that I'm reading the lyric. Are we all ready?
- 1:36:37Speaker 5: Yes?
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: Sure, I'm never ready for these.
- 1:36:41Speaker 6: Here we go.
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: They say, all's well, that ends well. But I'm in
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: a new hell. Every time you yes, Caroline John Mayor,
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: I'm I'm so sorry. It's not the correct answer. And
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: you didn't say we are never getting back together with
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: John Mayer. I mean, and you hell every time you
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: double crossed my mind. You said if we had been
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: closer in age, maybe it would be. Yes, Joe, we are.
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: Never ever getting back together with Jake Jyllen Hall.
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: It is indeed Jake Jill Ye and I stare at
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: the phone. He still hasn't called, and then you feel
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: so low.
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: Yes, Joe, we are never ever getting back together with
- 1:37:25Speaker 3: Joe Jonas.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: It is Joe Jonas.
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: I knew that Joe was really good.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: There's glitter on the floor of the after party, girls
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: carrying their shoes down in the lobby.
- 1:37:40Speaker 4: Poet. Oh, yes, we are.
- 1:37:43Speaker 8: Never ever getting back together with Joe Alwin.
- 1:37:47Speaker 4: Yes, it is Joelwin good stuff at New Year's Day.
- 1:37:51Speaker 8: Heck, yes, I just listened to that one recently, and
- 1:37:55Speaker 8: I was like, oh this is about Joe Alwen.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: That is a early reputation, and you'll add my name
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: to your long list of traitors who don't understand. And
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: I look back in regret how I ignored when they
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: said run as fast as you kill.
- 1:38:10Speaker 8: Poet. Yes, Caroline, we are never ever getting back together
- 1:38:13Speaker 8: with John Mayer is John?
- 1:38:17Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: Nice? And then the cold came the dark poet.
- 1:38:22Speaker 8: Yes, Carolina, we are never ever getting back together with
- 1:38:25Speaker 8: Taylor Latner.
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: It is.
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: Wow, this is good. Remember when we couldn't take the heat?
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: I walked out. I said, Yes, Joe, we.
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: Are never ever getting back together with your styles.
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: It is Harry's styles. I love this competition. That's heating up.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: It's one v one.
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: I'm here for moral support.
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: My try.
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: It's just not working fast enough. And that's okay.
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: That is okay. You were driving the getaway car. We
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: were flying, but we never get far. Don't pretend it's
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: such a mystery.
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: Yes, Joe, We're never ever getting back together.
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: It is Tom Hidleston.
- 1:39:09Speaker 8: That was a good.
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: Yeah, swift. Yes, I've got a boyfriend. He's older than us.
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: I haven't seen him in a couple of Auntie.
- 1:39:20Speaker 5: Sorry, I've got my own tea name. We are never
- 1:39:23Speaker 5: ever getting back together with as this son Calvin Harris.
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: This is Calvin Harris. She wears high heels, I wear sneakers.
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: She's she a captain and I'm on the bleaches, Auntie.
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: Yes, Joe, You're never ever ever getting back together with.
- 1:39:42Speaker 7: Joe Jonas.
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: It's not Joe Jonas. I'll let you know. There's no repeats.
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: But we are getting very niche.
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: Now, yeah, we're not.
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: We're getting into the territory where I wasn't like from
- 1:39:52Speaker 2: those old ones.
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: Before, dreaming about the day when you wake up and
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: find that you're looking for has been here the whole time.
- 1:40:03Speaker 4: We all know the song, Yeah, yeah, I never knew
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: the song. We have the music video. Oh yeah, I say, oh,
- 1:40:14Speaker 4: I was going to do a joke cancer. If you
- 1:40:16Speaker 4: know who it is, is it is it?
- 1:40:18Speaker 7: Okay?
- 1:40:19Speaker 3: I don't think I remember. But we are never ever
- 1:40:21Speaker 3: getting back together with Stephen.
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: It's not Stephen. But I love the ambiguousness of Steven.
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: And it's from Fearless and it's long like she dated
- 1:40:33Speaker 3: people in high school and.
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we never get.
- 1:40:37Speaker 4: That guy in the music video that reads the edge.
- 1:40:40Speaker 4: She has the things across the store.
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: I think that actually is this guy. I'm not gonna lie,
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: so I think what's his name?
- 1:40:50Speaker 4: We are never getting back together with that guy from
- 1:40:53Speaker 4: the music video where she holds up the signs and
- 1:40:55Speaker 4: she's a nerd and he has to read it.
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: I think, I'm good.
- 1:40:57Speaker 4: It seems like a John Green.
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: I think novel. So that's Lucas Till. I think it
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: is Lucas Till. Who's in that music Lucas's He's going
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: to get.
- 1:41:06Speaker 4: That, honestly. Yeah, yeah, a Hill.
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: Whom Swift met on the set of hand Montana.
- 1:41:14Speaker 5: The movie portrays the male lead, So if she was
- 1:41:17Speaker 5: dating Lucas Till, that is Lucas still in the music video.
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: Very good, very good, Odra, you are God.
- 1:41:25Speaker 4: Is a woman and it's me Villanera.
- 1:41:27Speaker 8: Let's go.
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: Just a few more and we're getting very loose connections now, God.
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: I met Bobby on the boardwalk summer of forty five,
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: picked me up late one night out the window. We
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: were seventeen and crazy, running wild, wild.
- 1:41:45Speaker 8: Poet. Yes, Caroline, Okay, I'm gonna go Robert Pattinson.
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: It's not Robert Battinson. Also, we are never ever getting
