- 0:40Speaker 2: What is happening? I'm Rob Lundquez time annoy. Are the
- 0:46Speaker 2: avid indoorsment Everybody? Hello, how are you buddy?
- 0:51Speaker 4: I'm doing good, pal Uh, just living life. I did
- 0:55Speaker 4: a work trip last week that was fun. So did you?
- 0:59Speaker 4: I did?
- 0:59Speaker 2: But I want here yours? So you went to our capital, correct.
- 1:03Speaker 4: On Nations Capitol, right on the heels of a pretty
- 1:09Speaker 4: nasty winter storm. Yeah, that's I found out. I'm gonna
- 1:14Speaker 4: be honest. The storm didn't affect me too much. I
- 1:17Speaker 4: think our flight was like delayed an hour, but that's
- 1:19Speaker 4: no big deal. But the man they got hammered out there.
- 1:24Speaker 4: It was like eleven inches of snow they got, and
- 1:26Speaker 4: then like three inches of sleet on top of that insane,
- 1:29Speaker 4: So like the roads, they did a pretty good job
- 1:32Speaker 4: cleaning the roads. It looked like I didn't have to
- 1:34Speaker 4: drive it all while I was there, but we did.
- 1:37Speaker 4: We took like the Metro and stuff. The sidewalks were
- 1:40Speaker 4: an adventure. They just couldn't couldn't get to it. And
- 1:44Speaker 4: then it all was that frozen, crusty, super packed stuff.
- 1:48Speaker 4: So it was pretty wild.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Did that limit trying to go and check stuff out?
- 1:53Speaker 4: No, not really, we I guess the first day is
- 1:57Speaker 4: kind of the only because we were doing work stuff
- 2:00Speaker 4: like conference y stuff most of the rest of the time.
- 2:03Speaker 4: But we stayed at the Watergate Hotel, which was really
- 2:06Speaker 4: fine and very silly and cool, and we had to
- 2:10Speaker 4: go like downtown to get like our registration for the
- 2:14Speaker 4: conference and stuff. So on the way back, we walked
- 2:16Speaker 4: the whole mall. On the way back, the National Mall
- 2:19Speaker 4: and saw like the Washington Monument and the reflection pool
- 2:25Speaker 4: was frozen and people were playing hockey on it, which
- 2:27Speaker 4: was really fun.
- 2:28Speaker 2: It's fun.
- 2:29Speaker 4: So we like walked out on that and stuff, and yeah,
- 2:32Speaker 4: it was fun. Man. So I got to see a
- 2:33Speaker 4: few things. The White House you can't really see from
- 2:37Speaker 4: your side anymore because it's all like fenced and then
- 2:40Speaker 4: they're doing all the construction and stuff. So that was
- 2:43Speaker 4: kind of a bummer. It just you know, was like, oh,
- 2:46Speaker 4: I guess you can't even really get eyes on it,
- 2:48Speaker 4: you know.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yeah anymore.
- 2:50Speaker 4: But everything else was It was cool, man. It was fun.
- 2:53Speaker 4: But had a good time, ate some good food. Like
- 2:56Speaker 4: I said, the Watergate Hotel was like super nice.
- 2:59Speaker 2: So yeah, that was cool. Nobody broke into your room
- 3:01Speaker 2: or anything.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Now still look at kind of art decoee. I did
- 3:06Speaker 4: watch the Forrest Gump scene again while I was there,
- 3:09Speaker 4: a felt right, ye didn't recognize anything, but still watched it.
- 3:17Speaker 4: But they had like a yellow leather couches in there
- 3:20Speaker 4: and stuff, so they still had like that kind of
- 3:22Speaker 4: old school vibe to it. It was cool.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Cool.
- 3:25Speaker 4: How about you? How was work for you?
- 3:27Speaker 2: It was good.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 2: We had a corporate gig down in Branson and we
- 3:32Speaker 2: had taken a bus from Nashville to Branson and then
- 3:34Speaker 2: back to Nashville and we did did the opry the
- 3:39Speaker 2: next night.
- 3:40Speaker 4: How was that?
- 3:42Speaker 2: That was a lot of fun. Our good friend Maggie
- 3:45Speaker 2: was also at the opry. She performed before us, which
- 3:49Speaker 2: was really neat.
- 3:50Speaker 4: She's so fun.
- 3:51Speaker 2: She that was her fifth time already, which wow, it's
- 3:54Speaker 2: just been so fun.
- 3:55Speaker 4: To see her.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Just I love that.
- 3:58Speaker 4: So cool.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we got to talk with the Ocre's boys
- 4:02Speaker 2: they were there. It was fun.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Love that.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and it felt like it went well. And yeah,
- 4:10Speaker 2: Nashville also is dealing with a ton of weather.
- 4:13Speaker 4: That's what. Yeah, I heard, like, iknew, I guess I
- 4:15Speaker 4: knew it was happening. I just didn't think about it.
- 4:18Speaker 2: They had they had gotten a ton of rain and
- 4:21Speaker 2: then the next day it went way well below freezer
- 4:27Speaker 2: and so everything was icy. They had that whole like
- 4:31Speaker 2: exploding tree thing going on.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's fun.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I mean I saw so many trees down, and even
- 4:38Speaker 2: days after the storm, I mean there's just ice everywhere. Yeah,
- 4:44Speaker 2: that's so it's pretty brutal, pretty nuts, man, it really
- 4:48Speaker 2: is crazy. Yeah, but yeah, yeah it was. It was
- 4:52Speaker 2: a good trip. We got a lot of like content
- 4:54Speaker 2: stuff done, which is that's great stuff we got to do.
- 4:57Speaker 4: And it had been a while too, right Wan nice
- 5:00Speaker 4: to see everyone and it was.
- 5:03Speaker 2: A little bit Yeah, and then then I got back
- 5:07Speaker 2: home yesterday and now I'm getting ready to go to Hawaii.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Lucky duck. Yeah, we're traveling men right now. I love
- 5:16Speaker 4: it because I'm going immediately when you get back. I'm
- 5:20Speaker 4: going to Malta, So I know. I just wanted to
- 5:22Speaker 4: make sure we don't see each other by accidentally. We
- 5:28Speaker 4: schedule things so well we do. How long are you
- 5:31Speaker 4: guys going to Hawaii for? I forget it's.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Eight days because we take all we take a Red
- 5:39Speaker 2: Eye on the way back. Oh, that's gonna be something.
- 5:44Speaker 4: That'll be fun. I love that for you, I love it.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Probably get to watch some movies, though, would.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Be my guest. Oh have you been seeing any movies lately?
- 5:53Speaker 2: I have? Thank you for asking. Oh my god, I
- 5:57Speaker 2: went to the new comedy slash h horror film an
- 6:01Speaker 2: A Kanda.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Oh my god, I watched it.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Did you?
- 6:05Speaker 1: I did?
- 6:06Speaker 4: But it wasn't what I was going to talk about,
- 6:07Speaker 4: But I will.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I don't have to. You feel free to talk about
- 6:10Speaker 2: what you want to talk about. I'm going to talk
- 6:11Speaker 2: about Anaconda. It is so silly. Features our guys, Jack
- 6:16Speaker 2: Black Steveson, who we just had in Saving Silverman a
- 6:20Speaker 2: couple episodes ago, Paul Rudd, Tandy Newton. Those four have
- 6:26Speaker 2: been friends since they were kids and they used to
- 6:29Speaker 2: goof around and make movies. They're all kind of having
- 6:33Speaker 2: midlife crises, and they decided to go to the Amazon
- 6:36Speaker 2: and remake The Sillies silly nineties film an A. Konda. Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 2: things get crazy. I found it to be very funny,
- 6:45Speaker 2: although pretty dumb, kind of like the movie that we're
- 6:49Speaker 2: going to talk about, not dissimilar, right, But there is
- 6:54Speaker 2: one scene in particular that destroyed me. I laughed so
- 6:59Speaker 2: so so hard. We can talk about it because I
- 7:01Speaker 2: don't want to spoil it on here. Oh, talk about
- 7:05Speaker 2: it later. Yeah, so great to hear. But yeah, I
- 7:08Speaker 2: don't know if I can like recommend it to everyone.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I know that I really laughed hard and enjoyed it,
- 7:14Speaker 2: but it's pretty dumb. So uh yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 4: But if you like, know you're ready for something silly
- 7:22Speaker 4: and you need just some levity, go for it. If
- 7:25Speaker 4: you're looking for like a well crafted comedy, maybe, but
- 7:29Speaker 4: you know, watch something else.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but if you're listening to this episode, you'll probably.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Like it's fair. If you've liked everything we've covered so
- 7:38Speaker 4: far this year, you're probably gonna enjoy this movie because
- 7:41Speaker 4: it's a good time. I'm with you. I really enjoyed
- 7:44Speaker 4: it too. I still wish I would have got to
- 7:47Speaker 4: see it with a bunch of people. I didn't say
- 7:49Speaker 4: the same. It would have been just so much fun.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it sounds like Tim and Chatham went to the theater
- 7:53Speaker 2: and saw it together, and that would have been more
- 7:55Speaker 2: fun for sure.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Beautiful, yeah, but uh like kind of a fun story too.
- 7:59Speaker 4: I thought it was a neat little story. Although they
- 8:03Speaker 4: I feel like they teased more backstory for Tandy Newton
- 8:06Speaker 4: and then just never went to it.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 4: Right, they were just like, no, we don't have time.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, we're we better wrap this thing up.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Yeah. But if you're like a movie nerd, you're gonna
- 8:16Speaker 4: like it too, because they are kind of movie nerds
- 8:19Speaker 4: within it, right, And yeah, this is fun. I'm with you.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I love that nice.
- 8:25Speaker 4: I saw on the old Netflix machine a movie called
- 8:30Speaker 4: Train Dreams, and I don't remember if you talked about this.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I haven't talked about it, but I did see it.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Oh my god, Rob, this movie is just heartbreaking and
- 8:40Speaker 4: also heart filling and it's just wonderful. Apparently it's based
- 8:44Speaker 4: off of a novella by Dennis Johnson and it is
- 8:50Speaker 4: just lovely. Joel Edgerton is in it, Felicity Jones, and
- 8:54Speaker 4: then a bunch of other people.
- 8:55Speaker 2: You'll know.
- 8:57Speaker 4: William H. Macy is particularly great and and I thought
- 9:00Speaker 4: not a huge small part. Yeah, agreed, But man, this
- 9:05Speaker 4: movie was just lovely. I don't know, it was just
- 9:09Speaker 4: so so great. It's about a guy who's he works
- 9:13Speaker 4: in the timber industry in like.
- 9:15Speaker 2: The late eighteen hundred hundreds or early.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Nineteen hundreds, and it's about his life and love and loss,
- 9:22Speaker 4: and it's just it's beautiful. It's really really great, So
- 9:26Speaker 4: everyone to see it if you're looking for like a
- 9:29Speaker 4: this is like an arty film, but it is for sure.
- 9:32Speaker 4: It was really interesting and it's only an hour forty two,
- 9:35Speaker 4: which you know, some of those arty films can get
- 9:37Speaker 4: a little long. This one didn't feel long at all.
- 9:39Speaker 4: I didn't think. I thought it was just really wonderful.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I really liked this movie a lot.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that one stuck with me. Made me feel gross.
- 9:48Speaker 2: It was beautiful and Joel Edgerton was so good, dude.
- 9:53Speaker 4: He was.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it just kind of I was.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Just like, I don't know why that one. It is
- 10:00Speaker 4: sad Like obviously I'm not a psychopath, but I don't know.
- 10:07Speaker 4: It made me feel good for some reason more than bad.
- 10:10Speaker 4: I don't know why, which is maybe a thing I
- 10:12Speaker 4: should examine maybe in my own time. But it's also
- 10:16Speaker 4: been nominated for four Oscars, so that's pretty fun.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, do you know which ones?
- 10:22Speaker 4: I'm sure he was right cinematography. Cinematography absolutely deserves that
- 10:28Speaker 4: he's not.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Actually, it was a really competitive year this year for
- 10:33Speaker 2: lead out, Best.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay because it comes from the novella,
- 10:38Speaker 4: and then achievement in music Written Original Songs. Sure, so
- 10:49Speaker 4: he didn't get on it, which is that's crazy now
- 10:52Speaker 4: that I think about that, because he really was wondering.
- 10:55Speaker 2: He was like, he's like a very.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Like it's like a very inward character, which I think
- 11:03Speaker 4: would be really hard to do. Maybe that's just because
- 11:05Speaker 4: I talk all the time, but that's how I feel.
- 11:09Speaker 4: So Yeah, I loved it. Go check it out. It
- 11:12Speaker 4: is on Netflix, yep, if you're looking for something to watch,
- 11:16Speaker 4: but it is a tearjer it is.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Speaking of Netflix, yeah tell me. I also went there
- 11:22Speaker 2: and I watched a film that came out last year
- 11:25Speaker 2: featuring June Squib who I loved from the movie Thelma Love,
- 11:31Speaker 2: and she's in a newer one called Eleanor the Great.
- 11:34Speaker 4: I haven't seen this yet, but I've seen it around
- 11:37Speaker 4: a couple times.
- 11:37Speaker 2: What you think it's Yeah, it's good. I don't think
- 11:41Speaker 2: I liked it as much as Thelma, but it is
- 11:43Speaker 2: very good. It's about a ninety four year old lady
- 11:46Speaker 2: who's lost her best friend and roommate, and she goes
- 11:51Speaker 2: to live with her daughter and grandson in New York City.
- 11:55Speaker 2: She ends up befriending a young lady who's the daughter
- 11:59Speaker 2: of she would l Edgy four and they have just
- 12:03Speaker 2: a really fun friendship and they kind of both help
- 12:07Speaker 2: each other out and it's heartbreaking. It's heartwarming. I really
- 12:14Speaker 2: enjoyed it. I just love June Squib so much. She
- 12:18Speaker 2: is the sweetest boy.
- 12:20Speaker 4: She really is.
- 12:21Speaker 2: She just makes me laugh. So yeah, I really enjoyed it.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I loved her performance in it.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Did you say who directed it? I'm sorry if I
- 12:31Speaker 4: missed that.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Oh I did see that. That was Scarlet Johanson, wasn't it. Yeah?
- 12:35Speaker 4: Isn't that crazy? I didn't know that until I just looked.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember seeing she produced it and directed it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And are you on her IMDb?
- 12:45Speaker 5: Scarlets?
- 12:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 12:46Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I don't know if she has
- 12:48Speaker 2: she directed anything else.
- 12:49Speaker 4: She directed a short called These Vagabond Shoes and then
- 12:53Speaker 4: she was I don't know what this means. It just
- 12:55Speaker 4: says she was attached as a director to American Express
- 13:00Speaker 4: staged Ellie Goulding, which is maybe like a concert or something.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Yeah, what that is?
- 13:05Speaker 4: So I think it's her debut as like a full
- 13:08Speaker 4: there we Go feature, which is pretty cool.
- 13:11Speaker 2: And uh yeah, I definitely couldn't tell that it was
- 13:14Speaker 2: like a debut. It seemed like a very well crafted
- 13:17Speaker 2: film and I think it got you know, it was
- 13:20Speaker 2: at like the Toronto International Film Festival, and so it
- 13:25Speaker 2: was kind of indie too.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Totally.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's really well done. And it's that's also
- 13:32Speaker 2: on Netflix, The Great I'm gonna watch that.
- 13:36Speaker 4: That sounds fun. Love it, uh I I have been watching.
- 13:44Speaker 4: I guess I kind of talked about two. I'm gonna
- 13:45Speaker 4: talk about it anyway. We we lost Catherine O'Hara, dude,
- 13:49Speaker 4: I know, just so sad.
- 13:53Speaker 2: You were the one who told me. That's how I
- 13:54Speaker 2: found out.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Yeah, she wasn't that old. I mean she was by
- 14:00Speaker 4: she was seventy year one old, but seventy one that's
- 14:03Speaker 4: pretty young. Especially for a young lady. But I've been
- 14:06Speaker 4: rewatching Shit's Creek now because I was just like, I
- 14:09Speaker 4: got to watch something that she's you know, super in
- 14:12Speaker 4: and she's just the best.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna she was so brilliant in that show.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Ah, and she's just she just seems like such a
- 14:19Speaker 4: lovely person. I don't know, she seems so great after
- 14:22Speaker 4: the John Candy, like seeing her do him the eulogy
- 14:28Speaker 4: and just being lovely. So that's a bummer, But at
- 14:32Speaker 4: least she made.
- 14:33Speaker 2: A bunch of cool stuff when that show was I
- 14:35Speaker 2: was kind of late to the party on that one too.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I loved it so much.
- 14:40Speaker 4: That it's so good, dude, And this rewatch is just
- 14:43Speaker 4: it's been just a blast.
- 14:45Speaker 2: What is that on.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Hulu? I think is where I'm watching it? Is that right? Yeah?
- 14:52Speaker 4: It is Hulu. Yeah, she's one through six on Hulu. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 4: so check it out. If you've never seen Ship's Creek
- 14:58Speaker 4: and you like a silly good time, you're gonna have
- 15:01Speaker 4: a great time.
- 15:02Speaker 2: It's lovely.
- 15:03Speaker 4: It's really great. So check that out. But what do
- 15:07Speaker 4: you think should we do if you plug a roose?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Yes, let's plug it up.

- 16:27Speaker 4: crass for you, you might want to skip this whole
- 16:29Speaker 4: episode because it's a pretty pretty crass movie in general.
- 16:32Speaker 4: So I don't know what to tell you. I know
- 16:37Speaker 4: we take it easy, but they go pretty hard. So
- 16:41Speaker 4: we will look forward to that. Greg, I have some
- 16:44Speaker 4: great ones. I'm very excited. But we are here today
- 16:48Speaker 4: to talk about a film that is what is fifteen
- 16:51Speaker 4: years old from twenty eleven.
- 16:53Speaker 2: It's all pass, all pass, Oh.
- 16:56Speaker 4: I'm just We continue our onslaught of Oscar Worthy films
- 17:01Speaker 4: in twenty six but this one is going to be
- 17:05Speaker 4: an absolute blast. And we had to get our friend on.
- 17:09Speaker 4: He's already been on at least once this year, right, Yes,
- 17:12Speaker 4: he started off the year with us in short succession.
- 17:15Speaker 4: He's so old we don't know how long he has left,
- 17:17Speaker 4: so we had to bring him back. I did that
- 17:19Speaker 4: for you, Rob says old every time. Let's give it
- 17:22Speaker 4: up for Brandon Miller.
- 17:25Speaker 2: What's up, Brandon?
- 17:27Speaker 5: Hey? How much does a polar bear way enough to
- 17:29Speaker 5: break the ice? How are you guys.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Doing all right.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Yeah, we had a repeat for a second that scared me.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yeah, hi, body totally redeemed yourself.
- 17:45Speaker 4: I did have been so long.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Momentary brain part where I thought I had to just
- 17:49Speaker 5: be quiet while you guys talked. I was like, oh wait, no,
- 17:51Speaker 5: I'm coming right.
- 17:52Speaker 4: In, so yeah, I'll be bed good.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Good.
- 17:58Speaker 5: It's been just a few weeks this time.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I know, I know it's crazy, but this this is
- 18:04Speaker 2: going to come out like on the Hall Pass anniversary.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Isn't that crazy?
- 18:11Speaker 4: I love it?
- 18:12Speaker 2: The famous fifteenth anniversary.
- 18:16Speaker 5: When this one was on your list that you sent
- 18:19Speaker 5: out at the beginning of the year, I was like,
- 18:21Speaker 5: you better not pick anybody else for this one.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah you were. Didn't ask anybody else for sure.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Now, and I feel like we've talked about this event
- 18:30Speaker 4: on this podcast, but we can just go through it.
- 18:32Speaker 4: We all saw this movie together and we had just
- 18:37Speaker 4: the best time. Guys. It was so much fun. We
- 18:40Speaker 4: sat in the booth that was way too small.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yeah, Brandon sent that picture that was amazing.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Along with Post as well, So along with Nick Post
- 18:50Speaker 4: because also none of us were like at our skinniest
- 18:56Speaker 4: even a little bit. But so it was some boys.
- 19:00Speaker 5: The fun part is that with you guys next to
- 19:02Speaker 5: each other, because the other options were just us on
- 19:05Speaker 5: the other side, so there were no winners at that table.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, all of us struggled with that one.
- 19:15Speaker 2: For sure. We should have We should ask Posts to
- 19:18Speaker 2: be on here. I didn't even think about that. You
- 19:22Speaker 2: thought about it. Yeah, we've had him on for some
- 19:27Speaker 2: movie game nights. Sure, I don't think he's done an
- 19:30Speaker 2: actual episode like this, So well, thanks for being here too.
- 19:35Speaker 4: Yeah that's probably true. All right, Well, should we get
- 19:40Speaker 4: started to talk about this film? Should we get right
- 19:42Speaker 4: into the rough? SYNOPSI?
- 19:45Speaker 2: Yeah, okay. Best friends Rick and Fred each have been
- 19:50Speaker 2: married for a long time, and they are showing signs
- 19:53Speaker 2: of restlessness to revitalize their marriages. Their wives grant them
- 19:58Speaker 2: one week to do whatever they please, no questions asked.
- 20:02Speaker 2: At first, the deal sounds like a dream come true,
- 20:06Speaker 2: but as the week marches on, the two friends discovered
- 20:09Speaker 2: that their expectations are wildly out of sync with reality.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Ooh, nice, nice read, nice read, good work. Let's go
- 20:19Speaker 4: to Rotten to models and hear what they have to say.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Critics have this coming in at thirty two percent.
- 20:24Speaker 2: You know that might be the highest yet one of
- 20:26Speaker 2: the yiest this year for critics.
- 20:28Speaker 5: I have no arge it is.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's not unfair. Audience members have it at
- 20:36Speaker 4: forty percent, so that is lower than I would have guessed.
- 20:39Speaker 5: Still a little higher.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I would go higher than that, but I can
- 20:44Speaker 2: definitely you know, there's going to be some people that
- 20:46Speaker 2: are just turned off by this immediately.
- 20:49Speaker 4: That's true. And to be fair, as long like, since
- 20:52Speaker 4: the day we watched this movie, we all liked this
- 20:54Speaker 4: movie more than everyone else I've ever met. I think, so, yeah,
- 20:59Speaker 4: that's a good point.
- 21:01Speaker 5: I think the overall aforementioned day that went into watching
- 21:04Speaker 5: this movie was just so much fun that we were
- 21:08Speaker 5: we were just primed and ready to laugh at something
- 21:10Speaker 5: and this movie was it.
- 21:13Speaker 4: And we were just giggling away in the theater. To remember.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Laughing so hard.
- 21:19Speaker 4: It was so much hard, just full of like French
- 21:23Speaker 4: fries and burgers, probably bad decisions. It was great. It
- 21:27Speaker 4: was great. Well, should we go into say what we
- 21:31Speaker 4: think is the time for our hot take?
- 21:33Speaker 2: Hot take?
- 21:34Speaker 4: That's a hot take.
- 21:36Speaker 2: That's a hot take.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Take They have hot wings at some point it was
- 21:44Speaker 4: probably hot.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Yes, they're so full, so full, I.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Can go first, I have loved this movie since I
- 21:54Speaker 4: thought because of the story we already said it is
- 21:58Speaker 4: for sure a juvenile, jocular, humor filled, you know, silly
- 22:04Speaker 4: time of a movie. But it hit me at the
- 22:06Speaker 4: perfect time, and watching it with people will always be
- 22:10Speaker 4: more fun than you know, watching these kinds of movies
- 22:13Speaker 4: by yourself. Just really some charismatic people. I feel like
- 22:19Speaker 4: this was the rise of Jason Sudeikis's like sort of
- 22:22Speaker 4: movie started in general, Owen Wilson had been a favorite
- 22:28Speaker 4: and continues to be like he's so great. And then
- 22:31Speaker 4: the ladies in it, Christina Applegate was great, and Jeanna Fisher,
- 22:34Speaker 4: like everybody the cast is really fun. It's a silly idea,
- 22:39Speaker 4: you know, for a movie, but it has just enough
- 22:42Speaker 4: structure to let these guys go crazy and and show
- 22:45Speaker 4: what it's like to try and be young again. And yeah,
- 22:49Speaker 4: I just I really like it. I think it's a
- 22:52Speaker 4: it's a blast. Yeah, I think that's my hottest take.
- 22:56Speaker 4: I just had a really good time with it. And
- 22:58Speaker 4: it's got a hot tubs in it that made me
- 23:01Speaker 4: laugh so much when I first watched it.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Absolutely, Yeah, that's all I got. That's a hot take.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Surprisingly very similar take. I will mention this is a
- 23:14Speaker 2: fairly Fairly Brothers movie. They wrote and directed this.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't remember that.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Meis saw that today too.
- 23:21Speaker 2: I was like, huh ap, fairly brothers, same and they
- 23:24Speaker 2: are responsible for just some of my favorite comedies of
- 23:28Speaker 2: all time. I agree. We had kind of talked about
- 23:32Speaker 2: this beforehand, but this movie hits a little different. Fifteen
- 23:35Speaker 2: years later, after being married for twelve years, I can
- 23:42Speaker 2: definitely see myself relating more with these guys. When they're
- 23:45Speaker 2: having so much trouble getting started doing the hall pass thing,
- 23:48Speaker 2: they get sidetracked having a big meal at a restaurant.
- 23:52Speaker 2: They just get a little too tired after that. I
- 23:56Speaker 2: get it, man, you go to the neighborhood bar and
- 24:00Speaker 2: grill and you're going to be hurting after that. So yeah,
- 24:06Speaker 2: but man, I just I thought they were so pathetic
- 24:10Speaker 2: back then, and now I totally get it.
- 24:14Speaker 4: That's funny.
- 24:15Speaker 2: But yeah, I can't help but find these guys to
- 24:18Speaker 2: be losers who are married to beautiful women that are
- 24:23Speaker 2: way out of their leagues in the first place, and
- 24:25Speaker 2: the fact that they are complaining about their lives in
- 24:28Speaker 2: any way is just it's It had my eyes rolling
- 24:32Speaker 2: pretty pretty big time in the first half.
- 24:35Speaker 4: Of this movie for sure.
- 24:38Speaker 2: But there are so many scenes in this movie that
- 24:40Speaker 2: make me laugh out loud because they're just so funny.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I loved the chemistry between Jason Tudecus and Owen Wilson.
- 24:47Speaker 2: They play off each other really nicely. I had such
- 24:52Speaker 2: a fun rewatch. I just watched it in the Delta
- 24:56Speaker 2: lounge with the other guys, and they just kept seeing
- 24:59Speaker 2: me just cackling to myself. Yeah, but yeah, it's been
- 25:05Speaker 2: a really long time since i'd seen it in While
- 25:08Speaker 2: it's pretty chauvinistic and sophomore, it still makes me laugh
- 25:13Speaker 2: really really hard. So my hot take was, Yeah, the
- 25:19Speaker 2: there's one scene in the movie Top five hardest times
- 25:21Speaker 2: I've ever laughed in the movie theater. Ever, I was
- 25:25Speaker 2: happy to share that moment with you guys. Another hot take.
- 25:29Speaker 2: I felt very seen by how proud Jason Sudeikis was
- 25:34Speaker 2: of his mini van Van's Rule. He didn't even have
- 25:39Speaker 2: any kids and he was so into his.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Minivan, and I was such a minivan guy.
- 25:44Speaker 2: I begged Kelsey for years even before we had kids,
- 25:50Speaker 2: because I love minivans for sure. But yes, he did
- 25:53Speaker 2: have an ulterior motive Yeah, that's true.
- 25:56Speaker 4: That's true, totally.
- 25:59Speaker 2: On board with right. Yeah, I like it. I like it.
- 26:04Speaker 2: That's Brandon. What do you got bout it?
- 26:06Speaker 5: Yeah, a lot of the same, definitely. I mean, having
- 26:11Speaker 5: been married for two months, not really feeling any but
- 26:16Speaker 5: the UH, I definitely relate to the UH going out
- 26:21Speaker 5: for a big, hard night out at Applebee's.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and just needed.
- 26:26Speaker 5: To basically call it a night at about nine o'clock.
- 26:29Speaker 5: I've had a few moments like that through my the
- 26:32Speaker 5: beginning of my forties anyway, where it's just like, yeah,
- 26:35Speaker 5: nothing to do Saturday, Let's go do something, Let's get
- 26:38Speaker 5: a couple of drinks, and then all of a sudden,
- 26:40Speaker 5: it's ay thirty and I want to go home, and
- 26:44Speaker 5: so yeah, like it was. I was expecting a lot
- 26:49Speaker 5: of this to not age well, and for the most
- 26:51Speaker 5: part it was still mostly in good good taste. I mean,
- 26:57Speaker 5: I mean, the spirit of the movie is not good taste,
- 26:59Speaker 5: but there was nothing way out of left field where
- 27:02Speaker 5: it was like, oh, man, shouldn't have said that, but
- 27:05Speaker 5: where I was actually it's totally to see a little
- 27:07Speaker 5: more of that, and there wasn't as much.
- 27:09Speaker 2: I thought it was going to be a lot worse. Yeah, agreed,
- 27:12Speaker 2: it was just.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Like you guys are assholes, not you guys are racist
- 27:15Speaker 4: assholes or something for sure.
- 27:18Speaker 5: Yeah, like they the two main, two main guys, like
- 27:23Speaker 5: they they talk, it's like just your classic talk a
- 27:26Speaker 5: big game and then in the moment they're like, Nope,
- 27:29Speaker 5: not going to happen, and happened. So yeah, it was.
- 27:33Speaker 5: It was fun rewatched definitely, like you said, a lot
- 27:36Speaker 5: more fun when it was the four of us just
- 27:38Speaker 5: losing our minds laughing at it.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:41Speaker 5: And I even wonder if we were we had to
- 27:43Speaker 5: have been the loudest in that theater.
- 27:45Speaker 4: To think, oh my god, well there wasn't a lot
- 27:48Speaker 4: of people in there, right, this is what I remember.
- 27:50Speaker 5: I don't remember such a crowd. But I just wonder
- 27:53Speaker 5: if we were laughing like twice as loud as everyone else,
- 27:56Speaker 5: people going yeah that was funny, but good lord.
- 28:00Speaker 2: We get it guys.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Yeah, still fun to watch. Still still Yeah, like a
- 28:08Speaker 5: lot of individual scenes that basically make the whole movie
- 28:12Speaker 5: so good.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 28:15Speaker 4: I love that Hot takes, Hot takes all around. Let's
- 28:19Speaker 4: go name our favorite acting performance show.
- 28:21Speaker 2: We named the Dude, the Dude.
- 28:23Speaker 6: I'm the Dude, So that's what you call me, you
- 28:26Speaker 6: know that, or his dudeus or duder or you know
- 28:32Speaker 6: el dudo reno. If you're not into the whole brevity thing.
- 28:35Speaker 5: Randon, how you get for the dude, I'm going chock
- 28:39Speaker 5: For the most part. My dude is Owen Wilson. Nice
- 28:43Speaker 5: like it, I guess, I guess maybe the most rob
- 28:47Speaker 5: like of this movie, just because of the two kids.
- 28:50Speaker 5: And yeah, yeah, he just he does the does a
- 28:56Speaker 5: good job of like the lame middle aged guy, especially
- 28:59Speaker 5: in the part it's where he's trying to act like
- 29:01Speaker 5: he's like he's still I can still do this, I
- 29:04Speaker 5: can still do this and makes himself even more pathetic
- 29:06Speaker 5: and it's it's just fun. And then like underneath he's
- 29:11Speaker 5: still he's still like clearly totally in love with his
- 29:14Speaker 5: wife and doesn't actually want to do any of this stuff.
- 29:17Speaker 2: And right, yeah, yeah, and that that's why I picked
- 29:21Speaker 2: him too. I thought I was going to lean more
- 29:24Speaker 2: Sudai kis, but he did have more of a more
- 29:27Speaker 2: of an arc to uh to his character. I thought, yeah,
- 29:31Speaker 2: actually realizing how much he is really in love with
- 29:34Speaker 2: his wife, and but yeah, dude, I loved those scenes
- 29:39Speaker 2: where he was trying to be cool and just came
- 29:43Speaker 2: off being being a dad upright.
- 29:48Speaker 5: With the beer model.
- 29:49Speaker 2: And yeah, he didn't even like have it be like
- 29:53Speaker 2: an electric bass guitars. I loved that. I love of
- 30:00Speaker 2: when she's like, oh, yeah, this is snow Patrol, he's like, oh,
- 30:04Speaker 2: great movie. When he calls him out, that was so good.
- 30:17Speaker 2: But yeah, dude, he plays the suburban husband dad really well.
- 30:22Speaker 2: And he had me laughing a bunch of this movie.
- 30:25Speaker 4: Also, he still polls like good for him, he had opportunities.
- 30:29Speaker 2: He sure did.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Unbelievable love it. That's a clean sweep. I picked him too.
- 30:35Speaker 4: I thought you guys would go Sadakis for sure.
- 30:37Speaker 2: So yeah, dude, I thought I was gonna beforehand.
- 30:40Speaker 4: But yeah, all the same things. I just thought he
- 30:43Speaker 4: was like kind of sweet, like he was just sweet
- 30:45Speaker 4: enough to be a little bit redeemable.
- 30:47Speaker 2: I felt like, yeah, well, doesn't go for the babysitter
- 30:51Speaker 2: who's Alexandra Didario by the way, Oh my goodness.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah for sure, Yeah, no, I all the same
- 31:00Speaker 4: reasons you guts said, for sure. I think he was
- 31:02Speaker 4: really goodness.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Nice, it's fun, a lot of fun supporting roles. Why
- 31:07Speaker 2: don't we Why don't we choose the two?
- 31:13Speaker 4: What do you got for this one? Brandon?
- 31:14Speaker 5: I went sadakas with this one.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I I didn't realize.
- 31:18Speaker 5: Like how little I mean, besides the whys, how little
- 31:21Speaker 5: the rest of the characters are really in this movie.
- 31:25Speaker 5: Like for sure, they're like a group of dudes that
- 31:27Speaker 5: they hang out with just kind of disappear about halfway
- 31:29Speaker 5: through and don't show back up. Like it's like, oh, yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 5: I remember them hanging out with these guys a lot more,
- 31:34Speaker 5: but I guess not. They do the two things and
- 31:36Speaker 5: then they're gone, like yeah, but yeah, like I know,
- 31:41Speaker 5: I know that. I don't know if this is kind
- 31:43Speaker 5: of like a co starring thing for them or Sadekas
- 31:46Speaker 5: is considered the supporting actor, But he's.
- 31:48Speaker 2: My he's my other guy, Like I would agree.
- 31:51Speaker 5: He had a similar but more rocky character character story
- 31:56Speaker 5: than Owen Wilson. I guess you could say we're he
- 32:01Speaker 5: crossed the line, so did his wife, So yeah, yeah,
- 32:05Speaker 5: so they're good, but yeah he was. He delivered some
- 32:08Speaker 5: of the best one and concepts I guess that I
- 32:13Speaker 5: had never heard of before this movie.
- 32:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, one.
- 32:17Speaker 5: That I definitely remember inspiring one of Rob's fantasy football
- 32:21Speaker 5: team names one year.
- 32:22Speaker 4: But yeah, yeah, me too, the best.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that. Yeah, absolutely, he's for sure the two. Yeah.
- 32:35Speaker 2: He just has no shame at all. Yeah, you know
- 32:39Speaker 2: even when like not not just with women, like even
- 32:45Speaker 2: you know when he is introduced to that family that
- 32:49Speaker 2: is looking at the house and they're the Goldbergs and
- 32:52Speaker 2: he's like mys like, he just he has no shame.
- 32:57Speaker 4: Just such a charmer, shyster guy.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, and he just puts his foot in his
- 33:02Speaker 2: mouth so many times, which is just so much fun
- 33:05Speaker 2: to watch the best. So he's for sure my teach.
- 33:09Speaker 2: My runner up. My runner up would probably be Christina Applegate.
- 33:14Speaker 2: She was just more fun than Jenna Fisher in this,
- 33:18Speaker 2: even though Jenni Fisher was great too, I just liked
- 33:21Speaker 2: the role more. Yeah, I thought she's really funny.
- 33:25Speaker 4: I love Christina Applegate. I think she's so funny too.
- 33:28Speaker 4: She's really great.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that.
- 33:33Speaker 4: I just want just real quick that sidekis like he's
- 33:36Speaker 4: so good at that like fast talking, you know, like
- 33:39Speaker 4: like we said, just being kind of a shyster but
- 33:42Speaker 4: really charismatic friend. I love that. Think it's so fun.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Richard Jenkins and maybe the most fun part he's ever
- 33:50Speaker 4: got to play. Yes, he was so silly in this,
- 33:54Speaker 4: which was great as a.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Name Cokeley coke Ley, that's right. Yeah, And they talk
- 34:01Speaker 2: about him so much. It's kind of like kind of
- 34:04Speaker 2: like the revealing wedding crash Will Ferrell. It feels like
- 34:09Speaker 2: that because they keep bringing him up and how he's
- 34:11Speaker 2: like this larger than life ladies man. And yeah, he
- 34:16Speaker 2: had some really funny lines and scenes in this. And
- 34:21Speaker 2: that I'm horrible spray tann. I feel like a lot
- 34:24Speaker 2: of people had some bad spray tns in this, Like
- 34:27Speaker 2: I feel like Jennif Fisher kind of had not a
- 34:29Speaker 2: great spray tan for a lot of it, which is
- 34:33Speaker 2: that I buy that for sure, but his was real bad.
- 34:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree with what you said to Rob. Jenni
- 34:40Speaker 4: Fisher was like lovely in this, but they just didn't
- 34:43Speaker 4: get to like be a silly or crazy, right, But
- 34:46Speaker 4: she was wonderful at the end. Yeah, she's the best.
- 34:50Speaker 4: But yeah, and that Derek Waters guy, that guy cracked
- 34:54Speaker 4: me up a ton, the like Barista friend guy. Oh yeah,
- 34:59Speaker 4: Brent just being a psycho at the end, and like
- 35:03Speaker 4: it's so good.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it gets way over the top at the end.
- 35:06Speaker 2: It's so funny though.
- 35:08Speaker 4: I love it.
- 35:08Speaker 2: So he's on top of them anivan as it's driving.
- 35:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it's hilarious.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Uh, dude, that Larry Joe Campbell as Hoghead. Everything came
- 35:21Speaker 2: out of that dude's mouth made me laugh. That guy
- 35:23Speaker 2: is so funny.
- 35:25Speaker 4: I guess if if you're if you're Owen Wilson, Rob,
- 35:28Speaker 4: I guess I'm Hoghead.
- 35:31Speaker 5: He's definitely one of the one of the ones that
- 35:34Speaker 5: just kind of disappears. Yeah, show back up, but he
- 35:40Speaker 5: makes a couple of good poop jokes and leaves.
- 35:43Speaker 4: Oh god, he has my favorite line in the whole movie.
- 35:45Speaker 4: I think it's so funny.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Uh, that's a good call though.
- 35:54Speaker 2: That Nikki Wheeling as Lee is stunning, so so beautiful.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Dan and that accent come on, and Alexander Didario as Page.
- 36:08Speaker 2: But dude, so many people in this movie.
- 36:11Speaker 4: JB. Smooth, isn't it for like half a second?
- 36:14Speaker 2: He's pretty funny.
- 36:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Stephen Merchant is really funny as one of the buddies.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Really good. Yep.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Vanessa Angel who we know from Kingpin and I feel
- 36:25Speaker 2: like she was on a show back in like she
- 36:28Speaker 2: was in the show Weird Science, not the movie, but
- 36:32Speaker 2: the show the smallest cameo from Alissa Milano.
- 36:37Speaker 4: How did they get her to do that?
- 36:38Speaker 2: Like, I don't I didn't get that.
- 36:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I feel like maybe her scenes other scenes got cut
- 36:44Speaker 2: out or something, because that was shocking that that was
- 36:47Speaker 2: all she was in. Yeah, and then that fun little
- 36:51Speaker 2: cameo from Bo Burnham before he probably was a big deal.
- 36:54Speaker 4: That was great. I didn't remember he was in it.
- 36:55Speaker 4: I probably didn't know who that was at the time.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Same, but yeah, that blew my mind. Agree, And
- 37:04Speaker 2: I saw the version that had Army Hammer in it
- 37:09Speaker 2: for a second, I did too.
- 37:10Speaker 4: Yeah, the like it's like five minutes longer or something
- 37:14Speaker 4: much longer.
- 37:15Speaker 2: I read though.
- 37:17Speaker 5: That was when I was looking for things that said
- 37:19Speaker 5: they had a scene with him and it was cut.
- 37:21Speaker 4: But I was like, huh. Yeah.
- 37:23Speaker 2: So he was a bouncer at a club that they
- 37:25Speaker 2: go to and he's like, yeah, I can't let you
- 37:29Speaker 2: guys in, and they they gave him fifty bucks. He's
- 37:33Speaker 2: like all right, and then like two seconds later, all
- 37:37Speaker 2: three of them are out. He gets fired because he
- 37:39Speaker 2: let those two guys in, because doesn't.
- 37:41Speaker 4: He say, like, literally, I can't guys, I'll get fired
- 37:44Speaker 4: and then they're standing getting a hot dog because he's
- 37:46Speaker 4: been fired.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Right, and they're like, we were only in there for like
- 37:49Speaker 2: two minutes? Is there anyway and can get my fifty
- 37:51Speaker 2: bucks back?
- 37:54Speaker 3: Are you kidding me?
- 37:55Speaker 4: Yeah? It's pretty great.
- 37:56Speaker 2: It was a pretty good scene.
- 37:58Speaker 4: I don't know if I would have known that was
- 37:59Speaker 4: even him, though, I guess regnize him. Yeah, it's certainly
- 38:03Speaker 4: not then, Yeah, certainly not then. But yeah that was
- 38:06Speaker 4: pretty wild.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but for sure it's this is a this is
- 38:11Speaker 2: a two hander, for sure, it's those two love that. Yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 2: I love it. Well.
- 38:17Speaker 4: Should we go on and talk about our favorite scene?
- 38:18Speaker 2: Shall we name the dingas?
- 38:22Speaker 5: Is quite simple?
- 38:23Speaker 4: Really, dingus, dingus.
- 38:25Speaker 5: I can talk about my dingas all night long?
- 38:28Speaker 4: Might be as for this one? Your favorite scene?
- 38:33Speaker 5: I mean, I know Robs, Yes, yeah, there's the hot
- 38:38Speaker 5: tough scene. I really liked the pickup line scene. Yes,
- 38:43Speaker 5: scene is great where he just keeps bombing. The golf
- 38:49Speaker 5: scene is pretty funny.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Yes, oh dude, yeah you're and.
- 38:55Speaker 4: I remembered it being but it was so wonderful.
- 38:57Speaker 2: It's really great.
- 38:58Speaker 5: But yeah, probably the gym slash hot tub, Like why
- 39:03Speaker 5: did he go in the hot tub for like two
- 39:04Speaker 5: and a half hours and pass out like that.
- 39:08Speaker 2: He fell asleep with a newspaper, and I know, I
- 39:12Speaker 2: loved that. I love that he just stalked the gym,
- 39:16Speaker 2: waited for her to be there, and then had no
- 39:20Speaker 2: interest in working out at all. And it's just going
- 39:22Speaker 2: to just so funny. But yeah, he falls asleep, can't
- 39:28Speaker 2: move his legs, has a couple naked dudes help him out,
- 39:33Speaker 2: and oh my god, it is so funny. I mean
- 39:38Speaker 2: it's gonna come up in quotes for sure. That's my god.
- 39:41Speaker 4: All still still gets quoted to this day.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Oh my gosh by this grip for sure. So yes,
- 39:52Speaker 2: that is one hundred percent my number one scene just
- 39:55Speaker 2: because it made me laugh so hard. My runner up
- 39:59Speaker 2: is the golf course.
- 40:02Speaker 4: That's great.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Took way too many brownies. Uh their eyes, their eyes
- 40:11Speaker 2: are so red, so red. That was so funny.
- 40:17Speaker 4: I'm such.
- 40:20Speaker 2: That red is crazy. Oh yeah, the big guy doing
- 40:25Speaker 2: sand angels and the bunker and then also pooping in the.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Yeah, Stephen Merchant being so like like serious about like
- 40:40Speaker 4: someone stole the golf cart. I had it here and
- 40:43Speaker 4: now it's gone. It's so good.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:48Speaker 7: The water, yeah, yeah, I didn't remember that scene being
- 40:57Speaker 7: so funny and so that was That's right for sure, that's.
- 41:01Speaker 4: A great one. I mean, yeah, the the hot tub
- 41:08Speaker 4: is probably the high water mark. It's hysterical. A couple
- 41:12Speaker 4: others that I really really liked. Uh I laughed, I
- 41:16Speaker 4: think close to equally as hard in the theater. And
- 41:19Speaker 4: when the girl is thinks she's having an appendicitis, like
- 41:23Speaker 4: that cracks me up so much. Oh my god, And
- 41:28Speaker 4: his face on this rewatch is so good. The like
- 41:31Speaker 4: framing of her like with her back and then he's
- 41:34Speaker 4: going over and I feel better really helped, sneeze, really helped.
- 41:44Speaker 4: I mean so good. That is so funny.
- 41:47Speaker 5: I didn't even get your number.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's so, that's okay. It's just completely turned off.
- 41:54Speaker 4: And also then brings another lady back to the room.
- 41:59Speaker 4: Did he that shout?
- 42:01Speaker 5: Did he turned the shower on it? At least rinse
- 42:03Speaker 5: the wall off?
- 42:04Speaker 4: Try right?
- 42:05Speaker 2: I mean's so funny.
- 42:09Speaker 4: I mean that scene is obviously just like the crassest
- 42:11Speaker 4: thing in the world, but got it made me laugh
- 42:14Speaker 4: and continues to and then speaking of crass, I forgot
- 42:18Speaker 4: about this scene. I remember I remembered him servicing himself
- 42:22Speaker 4: and his van and that was funny.
- 42:26Speaker 2: But that is not like vans you guys want, That
- 42:30Speaker 2: is not stretch out.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Also just put on the two goes into a public area.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's ridiculous.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Out of here, what is wrong with you?
- 42:43Speaker 2: Into your garage? What are you doing?
- 42:47Speaker 4: Just a monster? But the the like what turns into
- 42:51Speaker 4: a silent film basically of the cops coming up, the
- 42:55Speaker 4: one that.
- 42:57Speaker 2: You know laughing at.
- 43:00Speaker 4: That scene is so funny and I kind of I
- 43:02Speaker 4: loved that one even more this time, like it was
- 43:05Speaker 4: so good.
- 43:05Speaker 2: It was so funny. Yeah, and his faces and noises
- 43:08Speaker 2: are so god yeah.
- 43:11Speaker 4: Uh just the best, really really funny.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Uh oh, go ahead, you can say, you say. The
- 43:21Speaker 2: only other one that I wrote down, I wrote most
- 43:23Speaker 2: of those down was when they go to their friend's
- 43:26Speaker 2: new home their house, and everyone's hearing their conversation in
- 43:32Speaker 2: the safe room. So they're just having the most crass,
- 43:36Speaker 2: horrible conversation, and I do love that.
- 43:39Speaker 4: The whites are like no, and then they're like it's
- 43:40Speaker 4: only gonna get worse, like.
- 43:42Speaker 2: They know, yeah, oh, it's so funny. And of course
- 43:46Speaker 2: they're talking about everybody that's there and just uh yeah.
- 43:51Speaker 5: And they're doing it. Yeah, they're in the safe room,
- 43:54Speaker 5: but they don't even know if these people are all
- 43:56Speaker 5: in the next room over and able to.
- 43:58Speaker 4: Hear, they don't know where they are.
- 44:00Speaker 5: They wouldn't care.
- 44:02Speaker 4: Talking about the like a large mouthed bass. So funny,
- 44:10Speaker 4: so funny. The other one that I had was the
- 44:13Speaker 4: massage parlor, and you know, it's kind of a forgettable scene,
- 44:17Speaker 4: but like that part's so funny. But when he sees
- 44:22Speaker 4: the lady from whose house they were just the house. Yeah,
- 44:25Speaker 4: he kisses the little girl on the top of the
- 44:28Speaker 4: don't do that and he immediately knows it's so weird.
- 44:33Speaker 2: He regrets it.
- 44:35Speaker 4: That made me laugh so hard this time. I just
- 44:40Speaker 4: is the cringe is funniest thing. Yeah, I loved it
- 44:43Speaker 4: so much.
- 44:43Speaker 2: And he's so embarrassed when yeah, when she opens up
- 44:52Speaker 2: the wall the best I can't believe. I'm I know
- 44:56Speaker 2: your draw better than you do, or.
- 44:59Speaker 5: It's I'm not the professional here. Yeah, I don't any
- 45:06Speaker 5: paper trail.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Right, So funny, man, really good. Those were all the
- 45:12Speaker 4: ones I wrote down though.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Yeah, same, really great, same, And I mean, yeah, I
- 45:19Speaker 2: guess the pickup lines is different than the coke Lee stuff, right,
- 45:25Speaker 2: because Cokeley.
- 45:26Speaker 4: Yeah is different.
- 45:28Speaker 5: They go to some other bar, just the two of them,
- 45:32Speaker 5: where he gets beat up by the.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Guy right, yes, which was so funny. Yes, and his
- 45:37Speaker 2: drunk acting was really funny. But yeah, coch Ley out
- 45:41Speaker 2: there and he just he's he knows everybody. Situation is
- 45:45Speaker 2: like the hands things. Yeah, you're like a beautiful terrible yeah,
- 45:51Speaker 2: but he just has all those He just knows every situation.
- 46:02Speaker 4: Pretty rough.
- 46:03Speaker 2: He notices the carpal tunnel on that one. She's gonna
- 46:10Speaker 2: be out, she's a workaholic's oh man.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's pretty good. I forgot that that was separate.
- 46:17Speaker 4: It's a good call.
- 46:18Speaker 2: It was pretty good. But hands down for me, that
- 46:21Speaker 2: hot scene destroyed me.
- 46:24Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, pretty crazy. It has a great quote in it.
- 46:28Speaker 4: Should we go talk about our favorite quotes? It is
- 46:30Speaker 4: time to show me the money, show me say some quotes.
- 46:42Speaker 5: So you have to start with that one.
- 46:44Speaker 4: Then since you, oh my god, do it?
- 46:47Speaker 5: Absolutely you want to take that one?
- 46:50Speaker 2: No, go for it?
- 46:51Speaker 5: Please, all right, come on, do me a favorite Irish
- 46:54Speaker 5: switch places with this guest.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Switch Oh god, zoom in The zoom in on his
- 47:08Speaker 2: genitalia after that is just.
- 47:11Speaker 4: Oh my god, why did they zoom in on it.
- 47:14Speaker 4: What's the joke there, I don't get it. He stopped
- 47:17Speaker 4: normal to you guys, I.
- 47:20Speaker 2: Mean comparatively, Yeah, just that was unbelievable. Oh god, And
- 47:31Speaker 2: it's like, oh in Wilson's face is so close to that.
- 47:36Speaker 2: It's the giant.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Which one? Which one has a stronger curve his nose?
- 47:43Speaker 5: Or the.
- 47:46Speaker 4: Geeze the falls or.
- 47:52Speaker 2: I should have been that. That is a thing.
- 47:58Speaker 5: That Lord Podcast were bonetized. I feel like this episode
- 48:02Speaker 5: would not.
- 48:02Speaker 4: Be Yeah, we took care of that early on. We
- 48:07Speaker 4: don't worry about those things. Oh, switch spots got it
- 48:14Speaker 4: so good?
- 48:15Speaker 2: Why?
- 48:16Speaker 5: Why? Why? What's wrong?
- 48:24Speaker 4: So great? So great?
- 48:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Brandon keeps saying a few.
- 48:27Speaker 5: Mores, like when he botches the the Ireland pickup line, Yes, yes, hello,
- 48:35Speaker 5: are you girls from Ireland? Per chance? Oh no, I'm
- 48:39Speaker 5: very surprised to hear that, because when I look at you,
- 48:41Speaker 5: my wiener doubles inside.
- 48:46Speaker 4: He means so funny dublin.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Like.
- 48:51Speaker 5: Basically the same, Oh hey, Betsy Ross, you need a
- 48:54Speaker 5: pool for that flag.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Because she's got the American player on her her jeans.
- 49:01Speaker 4: Just the biggest guy in the world, stud dude.
- 49:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but then him all drunk, He's like oh, what's
- 49:09Speaker 2: the matter. You can't get any bigger, you little bitch.
- 49:12Speaker 2: And then it's knocked out.
- 49:15Speaker 5: When the guy first I don't know who that guy is,
- 49:19Speaker 5: I guess, but when he first stood up for a
- 49:20Speaker 5: second I thought it was Boban same dude. That's not him.
- 49:26Speaker 2: It wasn't very He.
- 49:28Speaker 4: Has that that same like genetic thing where they're like
- 49:32Speaker 4: their heads keep growing too, you know, so they do
- 49:34Speaker 4: look similar, for sure?
- 49:36Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure?
- 49:38Speaker 4: So good?
- 49:39Speaker 5: What do you want a pen pal or a poon pal?
- 49:44Speaker 4: Richard Jenkins, Richards one of our best. That's so great.
- 49:53Speaker 5: The coffee shop part when I think the guy's name
- 49:56Speaker 5: is Ed, the sweater guy and the guy with the
- 49:58Speaker 5: house and he's they just like talked about him, and
- 50:02Speaker 5: he's like, yeah, he's a good guy.
- 50:04Speaker 2: Yeah he's a great Yeah, great guy, great guy.
- 50:09Speaker 5: And then the part in the house where he's talking
- 50:11Speaker 5: about the safe room and he's like it's bulletproof, soundproof, waterproof.
- 50:14Speaker 5: Plus Kurt Schilling has been in here because I know him.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Because I know him.
- 50:20Speaker 5: Ye of all the name drops, that's aft that did
- 50:24Speaker 5: not age well, I guess.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Right, yeah, yeah? Uh. Do these napkins smell like chloroform?
- 50:35Speaker 4: Like that is that's pretty fun.
- 50:37Speaker 2: That's pretty ridiculous?
- 50:39Speaker 5: Just kidding? Can I buy you a drink?
- 50:44Speaker 2: He's doing every.
- 50:46Speaker 5: One of them like he's pitching someone on insurance.
- 50:48Speaker 4: So great, right, damn glad to meet damn glad to
- 50:51Speaker 4: meet you?
- 50:52Speaker 2: Same thing? Yeah, hoghead, I gotta go home and pooh flats.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Why can't you just go here? I'm pretty sure I'm
- 51:02Speaker 2: gonna need a bath after that?
- 51:05Speaker 4: Maybe my favorite line in the Home.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Movie, Yeah, is that your favorite line? So good one
- 51:15Speaker 2: I love At the end, Uh, She's just like, does
- 51:18Speaker 2: this mean that you'll finally come to an evening with
- 51:22Speaker 2: Kathy Griffin with me? And he immediately just goes last night,
- 51:27Speaker 2: I fake chowted DJ's mom.
- 51:29Speaker 4: God, the fake chow is fake chow.
- 51:36Speaker 2: I did not remember in the end credits. I did
- 51:41Speaker 2: not remember the faux job, which was pretty great, brilliant,
- 51:48Speaker 2: pretty great. I thought he was getting caught again, you know, yeah,
- 51:53Speaker 2: servicing himself. But that was that was way better, really
- 51:57Speaker 2: good one that I did not remember. And it's it's
- 52:02Speaker 2: kind of it's pretty easy to miss, I feel like,
- 52:06Speaker 2: but they're talking to each other and it's pretty fast.
- 52:10Speaker 2: He's like, you remember when we dominated in jab basketball. Yeah,
- 52:13Speaker 2: our senior year, and then keeps going, I miss that.
- 52:17Speaker 2: That's fine, senior. Yeah, why don't you say some bugs?
- 52:24Speaker 2: I don't want to take them.
- 52:25Speaker 4: All they're they're at the rich people's house. And he's like,
- 52:29Speaker 4: I feel bad for Fred Junior. I mean, it's one
- 52:31Speaker 4: thing if you want to look like admiral, but to
- 52:34Speaker 4: do it to your kid. The admiral didn't really got
- 52:38Speaker 4: me good on that. Yeah, Like, what else do we got?
- 52:44Speaker 4: How do I know more about massage than you guys?
- 52:45Speaker 6: Know?
- 52:46Speaker 4: It doesn't make sense. Who has wrapped himself around the
- 52:50Speaker 4: leg It's like yelps and he's like trips over him itself.
- 52:55Speaker 4: The whole thing is so great.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Starts crying as you leave.
- 52:58Speaker 4: Brent when he comes sound, he's like, you knew how
- 53:01Speaker 4: important tonight was to me? What the fuck are you
- 53:04Speaker 4: looking at?
- 53:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 53:06Speaker 4: He's just flipping out. It's so funny. I love it, Uh,
- 53:10Speaker 4: And then I think it's Later he's like, you think
- 53:13Speaker 4: I can about you? Punch Boy goes, why, Yeah, what
- 53:20Speaker 4: did I do?
- 53:22Speaker 5: Great?
- 53:23Speaker 2: He calls him a flabby asshole? Later yeah he does.
- 53:26Speaker 4: Yeah. And then when Brent is freaking out, apparently I
- 53:30Speaker 4: liked the scene a lot, but Brent was. He like
- 53:33Speaker 4: pulls the gun and starts shooting out and then one
- 53:36Speaker 4: point Onen Wilson goes, I don't remember who asked, but
- 53:40Speaker 4: one of them goes, you got a shot count, and
- 53:42Speaker 4: he's like a shot count? No, I don't have a
- 53:46Speaker 4: shot count.
- 53:47Speaker 2: Yeah. That was so good is his delivery on? And
- 53:56Speaker 2: then you my mom? He doesn't even say it, but yeah, no, I.
- 54:03Speaker 5: Just fake you.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Yeah yeah? Was that my fantasy team name, the Fake Showers.
- 54:16Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 54:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna have to bring that back.
- 54:20Speaker 4: You should.
- 54:21Speaker 2: That's a good one.
- 54:23Speaker 4: Roll it back.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:26Speaker 5: Yeah. When he when Ohen Wilson is trying to like
- 54:30Speaker 5: same scene where he does like the air base, but
- 54:34Speaker 5: he walks up to one girl, He's like, how late
- 54:37Speaker 5: is this staying open tonight? It's like, dude, you're in
- 54:43Speaker 5: a bar.
- 54:44Speaker 4: Gives him.
- 54:48Speaker 5: When he's lecturing the bartender about the price of the drinks,
- 54:51Speaker 5: it's like, it's just kids in here, man, Like what
- 54:54Speaker 5: are we doing?
- 54:55Speaker 4: How could they afford I don't see how they can
- 54:57Speaker 4: afford it? But okay, so good god, that's funny. Also,
- 55:03Speaker 4: when Jenni Fisher or no, Christina Applegate, sorry, with the
- 55:08Speaker 4: young picture guy. Uh, when he's like, oh my god,
- 55:12Speaker 4: can you imagine it'd be like you Hefner and his
- 55:14Speaker 4: girlfriend you'd be here and she's like, yeah, I got that,
- 55:17Speaker 4: I got that. Thank you.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Yea, so funny.
- 55:20Speaker 5: You're super good at sex, though, super good at sex.
- 55:24Speaker 2: High five? The high five is incredible.
- 55:30Speaker 4: That's really good, really good. Greg. Would you ever just
- 55:34Speaker 4: walk into a UFO on your own? I would if
- 55:36Speaker 4: one came along right now. Sure, that's so great.
- 55:42Speaker 5: Hey, if you get a chance, please found that's potato
- 55:44Speaker 5: for me.
- 55:51Speaker 2: That woman needs something in her mouth. The realization is ridiculous.
- 55:59Speaker 5: Are you sure that Applebee's is the best place to
- 56:02Speaker 5: meet hot women at? Oh? Well, what were you thinking?
- 56:04Speaker 5: Olive Carden?
- 56:05Speaker 2: Yeah? Beautiful, so good And he's like no, and then
- 56:11Speaker 2: he's like Chili's later, Yeah, that's serious, which I would
- 56:16Speaker 2: have to.
- 56:16Speaker 5: Agree a lot more Jamie move in this movie would
- 56:19Speaker 5: have been more funny.
- 56:21Speaker 2: But yeah, agreed. I mean all those guys, all those
- 56:25Speaker 2: guys were so good.
- 56:26Speaker 4: Yeah, they were really funny. Early on, when he's in
- 56:30Speaker 4: the car with the Diadario and she's like, I never
- 56:33Speaker 4: said alone. My boyfriend and his friends will be down
- 56:36Speaker 4: there you.
- 56:37Speaker 2: What were you thinking?
- 56:39Speaker 4: Run along now, page?
- 56:40Speaker 2: Run along?
- 56:42Speaker 4: Okay, run along now page.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Yeah. When Christina Applegate says that the browser was still
- 56:52Speaker 2: open and she saw the site, he was like, I
- 56:56Speaker 2: get my weather from that site.
- 57:01Speaker 5: Large mouth vaginas. You think that's funny? No?
- 57:05Speaker 2: No, you were laughing, like yeah, hyena. When he said it,
- 57:09Speaker 2: I was I just felt bad for him.
- 57:12Speaker 4: Whatever, totally throws him under the bus just immediately. I
- 57:16Speaker 4: feel bad for him.
- 57:17Speaker 2: I was just embarrassed.
- 57:18Speaker 4: Also, was this like the the mental photograph?
- 57:22Speaker 2: Was that?
- 57:23Speaker 4: Was that just from because that's with.
- 57:26Speaker 2: And all that?
- 57:27Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 57:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so good.
- 57:34Speaker 5: When she's going to turn around, he's like, please don't
- 57:37Speaker 5: have a nice ass, Please don't.
- 57:38Speaker 4: Please don't.
- 57:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:43Speaker 4: Also, I don't know if this was in the extended
- 57:45Speaker 4: one because that's what I watched or the original. I
- 57:47Speaker 4: couldn't remember. But when they're when all the dudes are
- 57:51Speaker 4: hanging around and they play like would you rather or whatever,
- 57:54Speaker 4: and he's like Stephen Merchant's like, oh that's hard, isn't it?
- 57:57Speaker 4: Because giving a blow jab to the guys bad, but
- 57:59Speaker 4: making with him is just so intimate. What does he
- 58:02Speaker 4: do for a living? Just out of interesting?
- 58:06Speaker 5: I don't know, if I could last seven minutes.
- 58:11Speaker 2: That reminded me of that Saving Silverman scene where Jack
- 58:14Speaker 2: Blax is being asked totally like any man, like a
- 58:18Speaker 2: tall man, tall like tall.
- 58:20Speaker 5: Famous keeps adding rules and you have to do it
- 58:26Speaker 5: or your whole family is gonna die.
- 58:31Speaker 4: So funny.
- 58:34Speaker 2: There was one that happened early on and she's like
- 58:38Speaker 2: stressed out with the kids and they're supposed to leave,
- 58:42Speaker 2: so he would take forty five minutes if you helped
- 58:44Speaker 2: with the kids, and he's like, no, forty five minutes
- 58:46Speaker 2: is good, and.
- 58:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm kidding, let's go.
- 58:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so something I would do.
- 58:58Speaker 5: What happened to your muscles?
- 58:59Speaker 2: They're high there hibernating. That's all I wrote down.
- 59:07Speaker 4: You guys have I think that was all of them.
- 59:11Speaker 5: Well, then you know what I love about divorces. They
- 59:15Speaker 5: love sex? Is that true? I don't know. I'd like
- 59:18Speaker 5: to think so.
- 59:19Speaker 2: I'd like to think, so, yeah, they don't know.
- 59:24Speaker 4: That's so great.
- 59:24Speaker 2: They don't know nothing.
- 59:26Speaker 4: I do love to when they're talking about like flirting
- 59:29Speaker 4: with these women and he's like, yeah, where's a couple
- 59:31Speaker 4: of show ponies, aren't we Yeah.
- 59:36Speaker 2: I realized pretty early on that that is not the case.
- 59:40Speaker 4: Pretty fun, Yeah, pretty fun.
- 59:43Speaker 2: Well, why don't we move on, Let's go to bugs
- 59:45Speaker 2: boohoo moments. Wow, the crying game. I thought, maybe just
- 59:51Speaker 2: the one time when he's talking about how he remembers
- 59:56Speaker 2: his virginity and it's because when is Virginia was tak
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: because she took it and you're my only forever he
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: says to her, which I thought was really sweet.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: That is sweet. It didn't get me though.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Then I think, zero, I don't think that's the only
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: time that could have happened.
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: That was the only one. I had to kind of
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: jotted it down when it happened, and I was like, oh,
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: I'll go back and find others. But I forgot to
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: do that part.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: So yeah, I don't think there is anything really much there. Yeah, nope,
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: it was none for this one. But it was like
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: more sweet than I remembered, at least in the end part.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because he's really having you know, on the
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: drive there, he's just like, I've screwed everything up. I'm
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: really what am I doing? Yeah, which I thought was
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: acted really well too.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: Agreed with you love that? Well, should we do a
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: little movie trivia?
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Sure?
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: I only have a couple. It costs two hundred thousand
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: dollars to get the rights to use the law and
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: Order chimes for the Day one through seven title cards,
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: which is.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Funny, unbelievable. It was funny though. Every time I love
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: the one, it was like it was the night after
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: they actually went out hard and it just showed Day
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: five and it was just him, like in his seat
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: pass machine day that was perfectly still.
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: It is still fully clothed.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: Yes, I felt very seen by the seat pap, So
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: it's nice. Apparently hall pass is not commonly used as
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: an expression outside of the US, so in many international
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: markets this was called free pass.
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: Is it commonly used in the US? Well?
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: Like hall pass in high school was a thing.
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: I just meant this context.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: I don't think in this guy. I'd never heard it
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: until this. I don't think anyway.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Good question, I don't know. Ye Fairly Brothers paid a
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: six figure some for Pete Jones's specscript for this movie.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: There's not I can't emphasize enough, not a lot of trivia.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Maggie's father is played by Dwight Evans, the longtime Boston
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: Red Sox right fielder and the Fairly brothers love Boston
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: sports stars, so they're often in their movies.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Cam Neely, Yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: Cam, just the best. Uh. Tyler Hulklin, who plays the
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: hot shot college baseball player, was also in the film
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: Everybody Wants Some from Twenties se As Amazing as a
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: baseball player. That movie is also very fun and you
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: should probably go watch it, guys.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: Because yeah, that's a Richard Linklater film. That's pretty good.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: I really like that movie. It's really good. On the
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: last one, I have the flash forward scene with Steven
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: Merchant imagining he murders his mistress and ends up in jail.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: Was got up by Owen Wilson. So that's fun.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: That was good.
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: We saw everything.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: It was wild. He's just like, damn kids having to
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: bury people.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: It was good.
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: And after all that, he's like, yeah, let's give it
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: a go.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: That was really good. I don't know if did you
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: have a gag gag reel at the very end to
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Brandon and the one that you watched, because they just showed.
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: Yea like the faux job and then that that scene
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: imagining killing all the people and everything.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: But but then they also at that same scene where
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Steven merchant is burying everyone. One of the dudes came
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: up out of the under like the cloth and like
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: scared him. Oh yeah, that's where it was really really fun.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: That didn't happen on.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: That was the only gag reel that they showed, but
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: it was funny. He was very scared. The only other
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: trivia I saw was Amanda Bynes was supposed to be
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: Page the h that's crazy babysitter. There we go.
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: This was right when she was starting spiral.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Yeah, a little wild, she had some personal issues. Never returned.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Alexandra de Dario replaced. Wow, sir, Yeah, so.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: That was all I had, Brandon, do you have any
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: that we didn't say? I'm sure that there wasn't a
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: lot out there. That's fair.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: That's good of just made something up, I guess.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: Oh really, Oh wow, we didn't know that. Oh uh,
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: you say.
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: What about Judgment Day? Do we think there'll be a sequel? Dude?
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: This thing made fifty million dollars at the theater.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: Wow, they should make a sequel then.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: And honestly, I feel like within five years after this,
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: we just didn't really get comedy anymore. Yeah, that's we're
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: getting big theatrical releases and we're making that kind of money.
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: Yeah, you know that's a good point.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: But yeah, the Fairly Brothers don't really do sequels. They
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: did Dumb and Dumber two and that was not good.
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: If they didn't do them before, they better not after that, right, So,
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: but they could get those two guys together and find
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: some reason and just having again.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: Yes, nothing else, right, Absolutely, I would love to see
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Cidakis and more stuff. I feel like I haven't seen
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: him in much aside from you know, Horrible Bosses and
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: then yeah Ted Lasts. But yeah, I'd love to see
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: him in some more of these silly comedies.
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: Agreed Creed.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: Well, well, what do you guys think you want to
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: play game?
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: Sure?
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Sure, I did a starting five. I'm going to name
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: my five favorite actors from a film. When you know
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: the film, you're going to ring in with your name.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: If you get any wrong, no negative points, but you
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: won't be able to guess again for that movie. If
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: their actor names remaining, you can guess those for a
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: point each love it the other and can steal if
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: you get any of those names wrong. All of these
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: films have something in common when you know the theme
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: ringing at any time for a point.
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: You guess the themes like instantly.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: Yeah, he's good at it.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: I'd like to guess. Is it the name of the
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: film has a name of a rock band in it?
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: I'll pass hall and notes.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Oh, no, that would have been fun.
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: That would be hard.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be hard. But no, I did not
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: do that.
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: That would have been really creative. I did not do that.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: No, No, this is way less creative than that I did.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: I will say the way that I did this the
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: first the first half is much more difficult than the
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: second half, so I figured it was probably better to
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: start that way. You'll you'll feel better as it goes.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: I like just as we go, I like it.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it gets much easier. I caond have, so don't
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: feel bad in the beginning.
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: Here.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Let's do this Number one. The first name is p J. Byrne,
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: but the second name Sebastian Manescalco.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: Oh. I know that name.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: Oh he's that comedian, very very successful comedian, stand up comedian.
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: Though.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: The third name is Linda Cardolini.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: The fourth name is Maherschela Ali Bughs Huge, green book,
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: green book.

- 1:07:46Speaker 5: Yes, I have never heard of that.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Green Book literally one best picture.
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: Did does that to make me feel bad about it?
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: I think that was what probably twenty one?
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: Maybe? Yeah, I don't know what that's right. I got
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: two points, right, that was what I was.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: You got Vigo and green Book?
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: Yes, okay, cool, two points.

- 1:08:46Speaker 2: it's close. Number four is Will Sasso and the fifth
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: and final name is Sean Hayes. Five wow or three? Two?

- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Pep. This is the first time I've ever done this
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: movie on here for sure, and it was the Three Stooges.
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: Oh wow, I understand that.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Yep. I told you it was gonna be tough. A
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: list of people, it is, and I never actually saw
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: that one. Let's go number three, another one that I
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: don't think a lot of people saw. The first name
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: is Danny McBride. The second name is Rob Cordrey. I
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: believe you were on for a movie featuring Rob Qudry
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: called Hot Tub Time. Machine. It's not that one.
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: We got.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: Number three is Malon Akerman. The fourth name is Michelle
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Monigan or Money Brandon, the Heartbreak Kid. Nice, dude, I

- 1:10:09Speaker 2: one name remaining, Ben Stiller. Ben Stiller is correct. Boom.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Two points for Brando.
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: Bukes Fairly Brothers movies.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: They're Fairly Brothers movies. Yay, Yeah they could.
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: I don't think.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: I get a point though, So, yeah, they did this.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Three stooges or one of them did not. All of
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: these are the Fairly Brothers at least Peter Fairley or
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Bobby Fairley. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Let's go to number four.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: The first name is Johnny Damon Bukes Bukes Fever pitch
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: Feverite pitch Hell. Yeah, ye.
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: Oh boy.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: I would have only gotten two more names on this.
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: I know Drew Barrymore for sure, Drew Berry Moore for sure,
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: and then oh god, I can't think of his name
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: right now.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Jimmy, there you go. And there's no chance of getting
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: the other names.
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: Thomas Lennon in that, I don't think.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: So it's either I don't know because I would have
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: picked him.
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: Are they are they actors?
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: There are there are yes, two other actors. One I
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: think was also a stand up comedian, but nobody knows
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: of his name. So Lenny Clark, he was, he's a
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: stand up comedian. He was also in the show Rescue
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Me and then Ione Sky. Uh yeah, yeah, okay, So
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: but you got Jimmy Foun, Drew Barrymore and Fever Pitch.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: So three more points. I was going number five. The
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: first name is Seymour Cassel, who's you definitely recognize him,
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: you probably just don't know his name. The second name
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: is Chaer. The third name is Eva Mendez. The fourth
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: name is Greg Kinnear. Brandon, you stuck on you and
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: one name remaining? You even said it right? Extra point?
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: We got Matt Damon and stuck on you and he
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: said Matt Damon correct, so he gets another point?
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: What the hell?
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Yep? Okay, all right, where are we after five?
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: I have six? Brandon, that's five.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: Everyboy, I love it. I love it unless escort option. Right,
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: let's let's go to number six. Perfect sounds right, it's good,
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: it's perfect, everything's good.
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: Keep going, don't look back, don't.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: The first name is Kyle Gas oh uh. The second
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: name is Tony Robbins.
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: The third name is Jason Alexander Brandon shall Hell Shallow
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: once a gal. Two names remaining, Jack Black, Yes, it
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: is that is her three names or three points basically done.
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: See what happens when he picks movies.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: That scene, that's all it's gonna get. It's gonna get easier.
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm scared.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: Let's go to number seven, and the first name is
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: Richard Jenkins. I did not remember him in this movie,
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: but in more than one Fairly Brothers movie. The second
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: name is Chris Cooper Cooper. The third name is Anthony Anderson.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: The fourth name is Renee Zellwegers.
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: Guessed earlier me myself and Irene correct.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: One name remaining Jim Carey. Jim Carey.
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: I still can't even picture Richard Jenkins in that movie.
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: Sergeant or something.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: Oh yeah, maybe he's one of the Rhode Island cops.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that might be right, or patrolman or whatever they're.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Yeah, the state troopers.
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: Maybe I haven't seen that ever.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: Oh, it's it was really good back in the day,
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: at least it was. It wasn't for me. That wasn't
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: for me.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: All right, Let's go number eight. The first name is
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: w Earl Brown.
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: Oh, I should know this.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: The second name is Keith David Bukes Bwkes.
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: There's something about Mary.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: Three names remaining Ben Stiller, Cameron Diaz, Yeah, oh yeah,
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: you're kiddy cat.
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: What's that guy's name? Hi kitty? Uh? Five? Four Chris Elliott,
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: Oh but you don't like him? Well, it's not him.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: It is not Chris Elliot, Brandon, ben Stiller. He so,
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: so I did so, he said, He said Ben Stiller,
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: Cameron Diaz, Keith David W. Brown. And one name remaining.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: He also said Chris Elliott, which it's not. So there's
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: one name.
- 1:16:04Speaker 5: Is Brett bob Ray. That would have been a good
