- 0:0211/30, 11:30 on this Saturday morning.
- 0:08Happy Saturday everybody. So 2311, which is Tyler Reddick
- 0:17and Bubba Wallace, That team, that NASCAR Cup team is owned by
- 0:22Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin. And they said screw it, we are
- 0:27not going to, we're not going to sign this charter agreement for
- 0:30next year. So right now what that means is
- 0:36they're not involved with NASCAR next year, that they're not
- 0:39signed up to race with NASCAR next year.
- 0:42Because remember, it's a charter agreement.
- 0:45It's kind of like baseball, football.
- 0:47If you're not part of the charter, you're not part of the
- 0:50sport. So everybody's saying, what's
- 0:54this mean? Are they not racing next year?
- 0:56Well, I don't know what the hell it means, but I can tell you
- 1:00they're not going to do nothing stupid.
- 1:02I think they're ready to go to war.
- 1:05I really do. I, I, I believe Michael Jordan,
- 1:08one of the wealthiest people in the world, it makes 40 something
- 1:11million a year sitting on his ass on tennis shoes.
- 1:15If you watched Air Jordan on TV, not TV, but at the movies, if
- 1:21you watched Air Jordan, OK, when, when it was all over, when
- 1:25the movie was over and the credits rolled, it said Michael
- 1:29Jordan today he could sit on his yacht.
- 1:33He can sit on his yacht. And when the credits rolled at
- 1:35the end of the movie, it says he makes about 44 million a year
- 1:40because he gets paid for any shoe that's got his swoosh.
- 1:44You know the swoosh, you know where he's in the air, He gets
- 1:47paid for that. So what's this mean?
- 1:49That means he's got money to pay attorneys and lawyers.
- 1:52That means they're going for the juggler.
- 1:55It means all the other teams, all the other teams.
- 1:58Hendrick, you know, Richard Childress, Jack Rash, they said
- 2:03screw it, we're exhausted. OK, whatever.
- 2:08So it, it sounds to me like Michael Jordan has some
- 2:12attorneys giving him some advice.
- 2:16They've read everything. Now, why is this a big deal?
- 2:19Because last night, Friday night was the deadline.
- 2:24There was a deadline. It's like you better sign this
- 2:27or you're out. Well, I doubt that.
- 2:30I doubt they're going to shut down their two Cup teams.
- 2:34I doubt they're going to shut down.
- 2:36Remember, the regular season champion last week was Tyler
- 2:40Reddick, right? Tyler Reddick #45 regular season
- 2:46champion. I'm the champion.
- 2:48And then they don't sign the charter agreement that the
- 2:52deadline was last night. Friday night, they didn't sign
- 2:55it. OK, Bubba's over there.
- 2:58Bubble, Bubble Wallace is the other card.
- 3:01Here's my take. My take is this their attorneys,
- 3:07Michael Jordan's attorneys and Denny Hamlin's involved in this.
- 3:11Denny Hamlin is involved in this.
- 3:12He owns that team. OK, Denny Hamlin, let's go
- 3:17through it again. Denny Hamlin drives for Joe
- 3:20Gibbs over here, OK. And the reason Joe Gibbs let's
- 3:26Denny Hamlin drive for him is because Denny Hamlin owns 2311
- 3:32with Michael Jordan. But 2311, they pay Joe Gibbs
- 3:39millions of dollars, millions every year for for everything.
- 3:45That's why Joe Gibbs is allowing Denny Hamlin to own a team and
- 3:51drive for him. And it's in its best interest,
- 3:54right? Denny's still young.
- 3:56He wants to win. But once again, 2311, which is,
- 4:04you know, Michael Jordan, Denny Hamlin, they're paying Joe Gibbs
- 4:07millions of dollars. It was on Kenny conversation
- 4:10that Danny Hamlin said, Oh my God, we'd have to have 2-3
- 4:14hundred more employees if we didn't have Joe Gibbs.
- 4:19And actually the if you go down Interstate 77 in Charlotte, NC,
- 4:24the buildings right there and it's a big building, but maybe
- 4:28it might need to be a little bigger if they don't have that
- 4:31affiliation with Joe Gibbs. So here, here's Danny over here,
- 4:37Denny's over here in the FedEx car driver for Joe Gibbs.
- 4:40But he's also over here and he's he's part of a 22 team, right?
- 4:45So you got, you got Michael Jordan, you got Denny Hamlin.
- 4:49I'm sure there's a silent partner in there somehow.
- 4:53What I'm saying is I bet there's more owners than Denny Hamlin
- 4:59and Michael Jordan. There's always silent partners
- 5:02in these Cup teams because they're too expensive.
- 5:05So I'm sure they they have read the fine literature and I'm sure
- 5:10they got a foot to stand on. Now, what's interesting is, you
- 5:18know, are the old days gone? Listen to me close.
- 5:23Are the old days gone? I don't, You know, if you piss
- 5:30the NASCAR for the old days, it's like, let's make it a
- 5:34little harder for them to go through tech inspection, teach
- 5:37them a lesson. I don't think they can do that
- 5:41nowadays because tech inspection is by laser beams.
- 5:46There's no humans involved. NASCAR.
- 5:51Mike Kelton told me years ago, he chewed my ass.
- 5:53Out he goes, Kenny, it is true. Years ago we used to judge by
- 5:59the hip. And if he was a little pissed at
- 6:02somebody, you'd go penalize them now because of, you know,
- 6:10attorneys and rules and all all the money in the sport, NASCAR
- 6:14said We got to get ourselves out of this.
- 6:17So now everything is laser beams, everything is digital.
- 6:24You can give people proof, for example, for example, Juan Pablo
- 6:30Montoya leading the Brickyard 400.
- 6:34NASCAR, I swear to you, I was not speeding on pit Rd.
- 6:38No way. NASCAR says OK, here you go.
- 6:44It's they can tell you they'll print it out for you where you
- 6:48were speeding. So is that is NASCAR pissed?
- 6:54They going to get them back? How they going to do it?
- 6:57How they going to do it? Respond right here.
- 7:00Is NASCAR going to be pissed at 2311?
- 7:03Are they going to be mad at Michael Jordan?
- 7:05Are they going to be mad at Demi Hamlin?
- 7:08Well, they can be mad at them, but how are they going?
- 7:10What are they going to do? The old days are gone, just like
- 7:14you all say the old days are gone.
- 7:16So everything, you know, everything is digitalized.
- 7:20I mean, you know, I mean, I guess you could somehow go
- 7:23whatever, you know, if it is a judgment call, like a restart,
- 7:28Let's say Demi Hamlin's on a restart and he's got somebody
- 7:32and let's say somebody's leading Denny Hamlin second, maybe Denny
- 7:36fires a little early that that could be a judgement call.
- 7:39They that that's a judgement call.
- 7:42Denny Hamlin over here on, you know, actions detrimental on
- 7:46dirty MO media. Is NASCAR going to be tuned in a
- 7:50little bit harder? But I've noticed Denny's been a
- 7:54little more tight lipped lately. Actions detrimental.
- 7:59So that's what it means, everybody.
- 8:02I told you everything in ending. I'm going to I'm going to say it
- 8:06for the third or fourth time. I'm sure Michael Jordan's
- 8:10attorneys have read all the fine literature.
- 8:13I'm sure they're not out of the sport.
- 8:16They're not out of the sport. So all right, that's what it
- 8:21means. Everybody.
- 8:21I think I told you everything. All right, we're going to, we're
- 8:26going to Mosey on down. I did all my tires yesterday and
- 8:29the great thing about this race tracks 10 minutes from my house.
- 8:33The great thing about this is I can, I can work till 5:00
- 8:36tonight and go on down to the racetrack.
- 8:40I love running I-55 Peebly Speedway, Federated Auto.
- 8:45I love it. So I'll Mosey on up and I get my
- 8:50car ready. My plane boards at 5:20 AM in
- 8:54the morning. I'm jacked up.
- 8:55Hey, listen to this. I'm going to fly down Delta
- 8:58because everything's Delta in Atlanta.
- 9:00It says your plane's not going to land at 836, it's going to
- 9:05land at 828. When have you ever seen an
- 9:09airliner announce your plane's going to land early?
- 9:13We will see. We will see.
- 9:23I know it was just me, Louis. It was just me.
- 9:28All right, everybody, see you tonight at Peebly Federated and
- 9:31I see you tomorrow, 11:00. Myself and Noah Graxson playing
- 9:36cornhole. Then 1145 tracks how live
- 9:40starts. And our first one is going to be
- 9:42a good one. It's going to be my dear friend
- 9:44Bobby Labonte.
