to 70x80, the section of 7080 .it that deepens
• 1:13
the topics discussed on the portal. I'm with
• 1:15
the journalist Enzo Mauri, who introduces the
• 1:18
today's topic. Good morning, today I'm talking
• 1:20
to you about a particular turntable. In Italy
• 1:23
there were only a few copies, but for those who
• 1:26
are passionate about small vintage devices from
• 1:28
the period between the 60s and 70s, the Philips
• 1:31
GF303 UFO turntable represents a sort of sacred
• 1:35
graal that cannot be missed in its... collections
• 1:37
the philips gf 303 ufo is rare as the book that
• 1:41
describes it those utopi du tout plastique 1960
• 1:44
1973 sold on the web at exorbitant prices where
• 1:49
they are described plastic products of series
• 1:51
or use and throw symbols of an era at the signal
• 1:54
of well -being and creativity not by chance the
• 1:56
philips gf 303 ufo was marketed in europe from
• 2:00
1969 the year of the first man on the moon in
• 2:03
the space age represented the right synthesis
• 2:05
between the the need for practicality and at
• 2:08
the same time a desire for innovation typical
• 2:10
of the period. The particular thing that makes
• 2:12
the Philips GF303 UFO turntable fascinating is
• 2:15
in fact the shape of a flying disc. Designed
• 2:18
by Patrice Dupont, the device was renamed UFO
• 2:21
because it was like having a high -tech product
• 2:24
under the arm, although the reality was quite
• 2:26
different. All in all, in fact, it was a classic
• 2:28
turntable. The Philips GF303 UFO, in addition
• 2:31
to its appearance, had the extreme practicality
• 2:34
of use and transport. Its dimensions were 12
• 2:37
cm in height by 30 cm in diameter. The handle
• 2:40
integrated in the transparent plastic cover,
• 2:43
together with the speaker, made it the perfect
• 2:45
companion for trips and trips. The young people
• 2:47
who, thanks to turntables, could finally bring
• 2:50
their favorite music with them, had one more
• 2:52
reason to take it off. As simple and practical
• 2:55
as the Philips GF303UFO was, it had a power cable
• 3:00
and a battery compartment. but also the 78 laps,
• 3:06
a middle ground between the past and the future.
• 3:09
Thanks to Enzo Mauri for the today's theme. See
