- RAC Aaron: Or I I just don't know who that is. Like I the one thing I do know about him is that I did see his wiener pop out one. Like that's the only instance that I know. That was like on Reddit one time and somebody's like, streamer high show speeds dick pops out on stream. And I was like, I didn't need to see that. Yeah. Yeah, this is getting cut. ⁓ RY4N: ⁓ RAC Chandler: Make sure you cut this part. RY4N: Love this part. Leave it in. RAC Chandler: Ha ha ha. RAC Aaron: This is that but it's like I know he's a famous person and that's the only bit of information I have on him. And that might not even be him, but I'm pretty sure it was. RY4N: I actually don't know why he's famous. Just a bunch of little kids love him. RAC Chandler: What RAC Aaron: Yeah. RY4N: Also, the head shoulder thing, people would make jokes and they used to like edit their when people would do like the they edit their bodies for like TikTok and like they would edit pictures when that was going on a couple years ago in the gym. People would jokingly edit their heads smaller and say they got head reduction surgery. So that's every time I think about when someone says that big shoulders don't have a small head about my head reduction surgery. RAC Aaron: I think it also doesn't help that I have a big I have a very large head. And so I just think like you being next to me in a lot of things is just rife for making it look like you've got a very normal sized head and then I've got this like watermelon. RAC Chandler: What ⁓ And Soresby and what's the other one you want to talk about? RAC Aaron: There's two. That's RY4N: What news? RAC Chandler: Is Brennan Sorsey the only news? RY4N: That I have. I feel like this can take a long time. RAC Aaron: That's the only thing anyone's talked about this week. No. All right. RAC Chandler: Also I told Teal to to drill down on unbiased clipping because that seems to be doing the best of like our short form videos is like those like videos where we're not necessarily giving an opinion, we're just giving information and then we let the viewers in the comment section like battle out like what side they want to be on. ⁓ that's exactly what the Tennessee was. Like it cut it, we cut it right before we had an opinion for the Tennessee one. So nobody was like, ⁓ these guys are stupid. Like they were just like, here's information, now I'm arguing about it, like with other people in the comments. So I figured for any like stuff we're gonna like obviously every single quarterback we talk about is gonna be a clip. Like it's gonna be like, Hey, Dante Moore, he's number one. He i did this last year, he's like this is why he's up there, like according to CBS, blah blah, like talk about that like fifteen, thirty seconds. And then like that would like where the end of the clip would be. RAC Aaron: Yep. And it's and then it's like we can then still clip some of them. Like if we get a good bit or a good a good take, even if it's hot or something like that, where it's like, okay, but like I agree. I think where it's like for the most part when we have just that like statement as read type story, like those just make good clips. Like those 'cause they share ⁓ around. Like football football fans are simple people. RAC Chandler: And we cut off our opinion. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: When we we see something, it's like they talked about our team. I'm a I'm a leave a comment, like that video. It's like we didn't say anything. We just said numbers. But it f it shows you why like football commentary is the way it is, where they just say the most baseline like oatmeal takes because it's like, yeah, people tune in. But all right. RAC Chandler: Yeah. RY4N: Yeah. RAC Chandler: Yeah. RAC Aaron: All right. We'll get into a we'll get into the run here. Voice for me. Welcome back to Run After Cast, the College Football Podcast. I'm Aaron, as usual, as usual, joined by Ryan and Chandler. RY4N: Yeah guys. RAC Aaron: And today we've not been making And this week we've come back to finally talk about some QB ranking lists because we've been putting it off due to football news. So before we do cut into that, seems like it was a pretty quiet week football wise. Nothing big happened. Think it's good time to check over with the reaction news to ask if you guys can fill us in on a nice peaceful week, right? RAC Chandler: Yeah, I mean nice peaceful week for Brendan Soresby, I would say, because he's gonna be able to play college football. ⁓ I think that's ⁓ i th the only piece of news that we have is about that, so we're not gonna ramble on it for an hour like we did last week or the week before that. So we might, I don't know. I don't want to speak too soon. But the ruling came in, ⁓ the injunction was passed and he's going to be eligible to play in RAC Aaron: He's sleeping good. No. RAC Chandler: The twenty twenty six college football season. ⁓ I know the I think it was either the second or third judge that was on the case ⁓ since the first one recused themselves because they had affiliation with the school. I think it so it either went to one other one or two other ones, I don't know for sure. But it was based out of the county that Texas Tech's in. it ruled him eligible to play. He will have a two game suspension. and I think that's that's it for it. But it's wild that RAC Aaron: Yeah. Importantly, it's a it's a temporary motion. It just so happens that the temporary nature of it was pushing the court case back till postseason anyway. So yeah, it's completely invalidated the NCAA's state or stance on this. Like it it just ⁓ it w this was an implosion. Monday when this dropped was RAC Chandler: Yeah, it's in February, I think now. RY4N: Yep. Yep. RAC Aaron: One of the craziest days I've seen CFB f news wise, just the reaction, the just utter disbelief across the board ⁓ was insane to watch. RAC Chandler: And Ryan and I talked about it ⁓ at the gym today. Regardless of the team you pull for, like your favorite player, like s for Ohio State's instance, like if I if Jeremiah Smith came out and like he got busted for gambling, like regard like that player, like that team, you have to understand that like nobody is above college football. Like i the rules are in place for a reason and the fact that now you can ⁓ supposedly g gamble on your own team and a bunch of other things combined and still just get a slap on the wrist and have a two game suspension. It's it's opening up a door to a very slippery slope for the precedent moving forward for college football. RY4N: Yeah, and I've said this before. ⁓ it just ruins the integrity of the game. When you're playing football, it's my best team and the best I can do against your best team, the best y'all can do. And even with the refs, everyone complains about refs, you know, throwing games, gambling. It's about the integrity of the game. You're supposed to have a fair game, doing everything you can, and then you can bring up the Pete Rogues argument, which is the biggest one people think about with gambling, that he only ever bet on himself. But you had Brendan Sorsby Betting against himself. And it ruins the integrity of the game. You can't just bet against yourself all the time and throw stuff. I brought a few quotes from the case. Do y'all want to hear some of them? RAC Aaron: I would love to. RAC Chandler: Of course. RY4N: Okay, I'll read a few of them and then we'll get some reactions. First quote They said they said Soresby suffers from a clinically diagnosed gambling disorder, which is a mental health condition. The NCA has weaponized his condition to shore up a facade of competitive integrity. That's what I was saying, integrity. While simultaneously profiting from the very gambling ecosystem it policies. RAC Chandler: Some reactions. RY4N: And I was saying this like three weeks ago. Initially, when they put him into the rehab facility, y'all remember I was like, what is this? Some ploy? He's trying to like victimize himself by saying it's like a big issue and they're gonna play on that? Apparently they have. So that's the first quote. Now I have a a quote from their coach. We are a target. If this happened to LSU, people would say, ⁓ it's LSU. But it happened at Texas Tech. They don't want to play. Because they know Soresby is good and they don't want us to be competitive. So that's exactly what you're saying. The Jeremiah Smith, your best team, you know, anybody. You know, banned if you do it. It's pretty cut and dry. And then Paul Feinbaum posted a quote of him saying, ⁓ it's crazy because it's not murder and it's not beating somebody, saying like that gambling's not that bad. And they said he's recovering from addiction I've sat down with this young man multiple times and he's going through or and what he's going through has been serious. That was also the coach. But I also have a couple examples here. Three years ago, a player named Hunter Deckers was ruled ineligible for placing $2,799 in bets. And he never played D1 football again. But Brendan Soresby placed $90,000 worth of bets. And he was at three different schools while he did this. RAC Aaron: Yeah. RY4N: One more example I brought is there was a guy named Noah Shannon who played for Iowa and he was a defensive captain in twenty twenty three and he was felt so guilty because he bet ten dollars on an Iowa woman's basketball game in twenty twenty three that he turned himself into the coaches who turned him into the NCAA and they ruled him in eligible for the entire season and he's never played again. So those are some weird examples there of other people that bet That did little things. Ten dollars on a basketball game, you're done. We had Brandon Swarez betting on like Ukrainian ping pong and stuff. And also with yeah yeah. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Which it's it's that's like all those bets. ⁓ They Texas Tech here. And I do wanted to caveat what I'm about to say here. I've been in all discussions because this has been ⁓ this has been fun. ⁓ it's it is crazy, it is terrible to see us kind of having this go on ⁓ for the sport, but we haven't had something juicy like this drop for a while. So I've been i in the chat room seeing what's going on. RY4N: Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: I want to give credit to Texas Tech fans here. most of the time when we see this stuff go down, you're a fan of a team. We brush stuff under the rug real quick for our team. All the Texas Tech fan commentary I've seen is like, this is crazy. Like, we should not be playing him. So I just wanted to say that, you know, shout outs to y'all. Y'all have been responsible here. Unlike the program. Program say it's up the craziest stuff. But it's just. It is wild. It's just an insane ruling. And ⁓ that whole like, this is a young man suffering from addiction in a mental health crisis. It's not untrue to say something like that. But I think for a lot of people that do go through mental health, like I'm I'm an obsessive compulsive ADHD person diagnosed. Those are my mental conditions, and I have been told. Over and over again, mental health conditions are not your fault, but they are your responsibility. And we have a sport where we play with rules that say don't gamble. We have Pete Rose is a great example, as you brought up earlier. We have example after example. You cannot do that. And then this one is the one that becomes the one where it's like, hey, you know what? It's okay because a judge ruled a temporary injunction. It just completely invalidates it. RY4N: And this is exactly what you were talking about last week when you said that if you don't get what you like, you just go to the courts again. This is the same thing with the Alabama basketball player. You know, they waited for the next court case to be after the Auburn Alabama game. He got to play all the way up the He's a professional basketball player. You can't play basketball in college if you're a professional basketball player. This is the same thing. You can't gamble. You're not allowed to gamble. Let's wait till February until the entire season goes. When the basketball thing was happening, me and my dad were joking all the time, like, ⁓ let's go get like Cam Newton or Jared Siddham to just come play for Auburn and let's have his court case in February. But I think it's an issue because Texas Tech has so much money. They literally put all their eggs in their basket for Brendan Soresby. And I actually can't wait. He's like not that good. No offense. Not that good. You give it six million dollars. We're not in the ring list. He's not that good. You put all your eggs in one basket. But they're like, there's gotta be like RAC Aaron: Hey, we're not at the ranking list yet. RY4N: Some sort of corruption here. I don't know how you get this through. RAC Chandler: No, and I will say I I don't agree with him being able to play. Like I think anybody that gambles, it's cut and dry. It's a very black and white rule. It's like the golden rule of all sports. If you are a collegiate athlete or a professional athlete, you cannot gamble. Any monetary value for any sport, especially your own. So I I fully agree that he should not be able to play. But I will say, I want to caveat for all people listening that we are not trying to devalue RAC Aaron: ⁓ no. RY4N: Mm-hmm. RAC Chandler: mental health conditions or gambling addictions or anything that you could have on that front. Like there there is that go through it and I'm I'm sure he is going through something like that. But the media light but the media light that it's getting makes it more seem like it's trying to cover up him just getting caught gambling. So I understand the rehab. I understand all the things he's going through. RAC Aaron: ⁓ yeah. Yeah. They they ⁓ absolutely. Yeah. RAC Chandler: ⁓ and he should do those kind of things, especially for the monetary value that he had gambled, but it does the way they're unfolding it to the media, it makes it seem like it came out after like he got caught and it's like, ⁓ we're we're doing all these things to like make sure it's better but no sh no shade at all to RAC Aaron: I think the first time we talked about that is I said like there's that cynical part of my brain that when they mentioned he went to rehab that I was like, this seems like it's legally getting out in front of something. And ⁓ I also I think like right after the next time we talked about it, I was like, we haven't even seen the craziest part yet. And sure enough, this dropped this is the one thing I wouldn't have predicted in all of this saga that it's that legally the courts decided it was fine. And but ⁓ Chandler, I do agree with you here that it's like RY4N: Mm-hmm. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: You can both have compassion for the person and we do want Brendan Sorsby to get over that. But you can also say we can also still hold consequence to an action and and you know thousands of actions. RAC Chandler: Of course, of course. All actions have consequences, good or bad. RY4N: yes, yes. And I know I I ⁓ blunt. I think mil ~ military. I think the mental health disorders are very serious and like they said ninety thousand dollars of beds. I think I saw something else that he had nine thousand tickets that he put in betting. Like he probably actually has some sort of issue. Yeah, the timing of it definitely seemed as if it was a c cover up and they're kind of victimizing him in a way, but I can see it, you know. I did sound blunt. I think it's like a serious issue. But riddle me this, you know, you're a drug addict, right? In college football, they have very strict drug test policies. Like if you get drug tested and fail, you're getting you're getting ⁓ suspended right there. So like it's kind of the same thing. It's like you can't just just 'cause of his addiction, it's really sad for him personally, but as like an organization it's kind of unacceptable still. RAC Aaron: Yeah. That hey. Yeah. we just need an athlete to come out and be like, I'm addicted to testosterone. I can't can't live without it. You know, it just so happens I run five to seven fifty milligrams of it a week and ⁓ I'm a great athlete because of that. And it's like, ⁓ RAC Chandler: Of course. It's a bad look for Texas Tech. RY4N: Yeah. RAC Chandler: I just think it's a bad hill for Texas Tech to potentially die on because if they're gonna go into this gray area for this quarterback and this rule breaking of this severity to be able to retain this guy on their roster and have a season unfold for him, then it's just gonna open the floodgates to all of the programs. This really dampers the reputation for Texas Tech as a whole because RAC Aaron: And ⁓ RAC Chandler: their coach isn't coming out and saying like it's wrong, like we had no choice in doing this or we're still gonna suspend ⁓ even though the injunction came through. Like Yeah. RAC Aaron: They're doing the exact opposite. I and I do want to say this is the where we can we can flip this lens over and put it on Texas Tech's program right now, as right now are the villains. Like to me, I couldn't think of something that would take Lin or that would take Lane Kiffin off the like the hot seat of media attention. ⁓ Texas Tex RY4N: Yeah, he's he's all in. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: Response, both like AD coach side of things, have been crazy. They have come out on the attack because ⁓ as of recording right now, ⁓ we're recording this on Friday. We have the leagues coming together or the different conferences basically saying, like, hey, we need to do something about this. ⁓ we should maybe talk about having our teams refuse to participate in the games. And like the AD came out and like had a response to that saying, or one of the Texas tech. ⁓ one of the Texas Tech staff comes out and mentions like, ⁓ thanks for saying that because now it indicates c ⁓ collusion between conferences. We're coming, you know, for you at court. And it's like man, this is the time to sit back and be quiet. Like ⁓ as a program, you can't be crazy. RAC Chandler: Well, on that on that same vein, they have come out and said Nebraska, Georgia for sure, have said that they threaten to not play them in any sport, not just football. And then I know the Big Ten is A D overall or not A D, the Big Ten commissioner is saying the same thing that he's not wanting to play them in any sports, like it's just a bad look for the sport as a whole. ⁓ so it's it's gonna be wild and if you look at their schedule they're not playing anybody in the big in the Big Ten or Georgia or Nebraska or any of those teams that are actually talking about it. So it'd be more postseason implication, but I i it'll be interesting to see how that all shakes out because if they if a bunch of conferences just start like blacklisting playing them, then that could be a f a fun other story to follow. I mean they're gonna have a zero zero game season. RY4N: Yeah, and this is ⁓ sorry. RAC Aaron: Which if ⁓ go eat. Yeah. RY4N: Yeah. And this is like when my dad talks about like he always says, I hate Alabama. Everything they stand for, they're just evil kind of thing, 'cause of the stuff they did in like the eighteen hundreds. This is like a real time example of that. That there is corruption inside the system and everyone's against it. And if somehow they're allowed to play, people are just gonna be killing Vernon Sorceby every game. You know, maybe the ref lets a couple of ⁓ slide. There's a real life example of a rivalry coming together. RAC Aaron: It is This is a rivalry against Texas Tech versus every other team in college football. The unification of the fan base here and just absolute contempt at this injunction and the statements has been ⁓ like we are a game that we don't get along playing. We hate our rivals, we hate these things, and we we love to ride it out when our rivals have these things. This one is the first time I've just seen like hand in hand. Will go with just all together like, no, this can't happen. And right now, I mean, there really doesn't seem like anything other than that conference level. Something's gonna have to get real creative to keep this from happening because it does not look like Texas Tech is gonna back out. And ⁓ part of me can understand that because they weren't on the hook for NIL if he was ruled ineligible, but now he's eligible. So if they try to take RAC Chandler: Well RAC Aaron: The moral standing and say, hey, we're not gonna play him. He broke the rules. As a as a system and as a team, we want to follow the rules of the sport. Legality aside, they'd have to pay out the NIL if he never takes a snap. Like that, that he's locked in. That's the the power of this. So I feel like to cover that, they've leaned in to say, we can spin this enough that somehow we'll look like the right one here. RY4N: Yeah, and they went all in for him to be their quarterback this season, but I kind of like that everyone's unified against them. There's some kind of intrinsic drive to strive for for justice. And everyone's just kinda on that wave right now. And I like that. Cause they're kind of just going out and they're on a weird limb that they're trying to justify it, like you were saying, and everyone else is just no, that's not okay. This is unacceptable and I I really like that. RAC Chandler: I I s I s RAC Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: I saw a graphic that was like the states that Texas Tech is the most hated in, and it was like forty eight of them, and then Alabama and Ohio State was still Alabama and Michigan. RAC Aaron: Makes sense. ⁓ but I mean, other than that, I don't think there's a lot more that that hasn't already been said. I mean, this is the like if you look for any other news this week, good luck because there is nothing other than updates. And yeah, like it's like, ⁓ this this school got a three star commit, and it's like you'd have to go to page 104 and ⁓ recent news to get that. So RAC Chandler: It's on the way bottom. RAC Aaron: It's like, yeah, this is this has been the dominant news story. It is there. I just still don't think we've seen it. We this is st this is gonna be a roller coaster. This could be something where we're talking like a documentary soon. Like this is gonna be one of those things that's gonna be a a really important time. And I'm glad right now that everybody seems to be on the side of we gotta protect college football. We can't let this start stuff or we can't let this stuff start happening. RAC Chandler: We could make a a Hallmark movie out of this when with Brendan Sorsby being the the ⁓ happy happily ever after guy in the end and it's like, ⁓ that bad big and bad college football is fighting against his eligibility and and they came after him and they ⁓ the Texas Tech banded together and he met his hometown hero and they got through it and hometown hero being his judge and you know, it's a happily ever after for them. RAC Aaron: It came out. ⁓ RY4N: You know. You know, that's not a bad idea. He could be the main character. Cause you know what's weird, is most of the time the woman is the main character and she's married or has a boyfriend and actually like it seems like she met her love, but she's really just like going off into some other town and cheating on her husband and is like, I don't wanna go back with you. I'm gonna stay with this guy. This is the love of my life. So we could be like that, because he's secretly the villain that it seems like he goes and meets his wife and RAC Aaron: This RAC Chandler: Ha ha ha. RAC Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: And they just r bump into each other. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. RY4N: does all these things here, but he's really just cheating on his team and gambling and and stuff. You know? RAC Chandler: Ha ha ha. RAC Aaron: This winter, catch Hallmark's new movie Betting on You, starring Vernon Swarsby. RY4N: Ho ho ho ho ho that's so good. RAC Chandler: Stamp it. What is it? Is it C is it's not CBS? Who who who owns Hallmark? Whoever that is. RAC Aaron: Yeah. ⁓ RY4N: The Harmut channel. These have a store here. RAC Chandler: Hallmark, yeah. Exactly. I like it. RAC Aaron: So yeah. Yeah, I'm sure this is what we'll be talking about for the next couple weeks as we get more and more updates. I think Yeah, yeah, you guys get to kick your feet up. ⁓ so I think it's time that we finally make our way over to some QB rankings, boys, and ⁓ talk about some QBs out here now. RY4N: Too good. RAC Chandler: It's easy for us at the Raction News Desk. We just gotta keep following this. ⁓ Let's do it. RY4N: Can I take a short intermission to P? Sorry. RAC Chandler: So I think we're Yeah. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Actually I grabbed some water too. RAC Chandler: I mean it's good help is so hard to find. And on that note, this episode is brought to you by PrizePix. ⁓ where you can gamble with code rack up to ninety thousand dollars worth of bets. And RY4N: And do not worry, Brendan Sorsby And don't worry, Brendan Sorsby may not be able to bet, or I guess he can now, but so can you. Sign up with our code REC. RAC Chandler: I was hoping you heard that. Good side. Aaron, I said in the I said this episode is sponsored by Price Fix when you can use code RAC and get up to ninety thousand dollars worth of bonus pets. RAC Aaron: Y you can retain your academic or your eligibility with free bonus picks. ⁓ RAC Chandler: Mm. Okay, so I think we're gonna we're gonna jump into this list. ⁓ I pulled up a CBS top eight list of preseason quarterback rankings of who they think ⁓ them being CBS is gonna be the top eight quarterbacks going into the twenty twenty six season. And I think they base it off of where they think they're gonna fall in the draft as well, ⁓ come postseason. So that kinda helped with the rankings there, ⁓ one through eight. ⁓ so we'll give a little background of RAC Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: each quarterback what they did last season, kinda why they're in the spot they are. And then we'll kind of have a discussion of if we think they're too high, too low, they shouldn't be on the list. ⁓ if they shouldn't be on the list, who could take their spot? ⁓ Ryan's not allowed to say Bayern Brown. ⁓ so we will kinda So RY4N: ⁓ I won't. I will not. And I'm also gonna preface this. I think people are terrible at evaluating quarterbacks. And I think we're gonna have a good example here. I'm going blind into this to see what's happening, so RAC Chandler: I do think that separate discussion, but just to double down on that, 'cause I wholeheartedly agree, I think the whole five star like the the ranking system of high school recruits should have quarterbacks be their own separate ⁓ starring system and they should not be against all the other players as well, because that kind of skews rankings and all that kind of good stuff. Plus their yeah, their evaluation criteria is completely different ⁓ than everybody else. Yeah. RY4N: And they get them so wrong. Even guys going into the NFL, they get ⁓ so wrong. I don't can't believe it. RAC Chandler: So but hey, they're all NFL quarterbacks or collegiate quarterbacks in their top one percent of athletes, and we aren't any of those, so who are we to, you know, throw shots at? But so n coming in at number one, Ryan's preseason Heisman favorite, ⁓ we have Dante Moore from Oregon. so there his description and CBS RAC Aaron: ⁓ yeah. Shade. RAC Chandler: ⁓ and yeah, all these descriptions will be just from the CBS ⁓ website from their top eight rankings. he's predicted to be an a top NFL draft pick, the first quarterback off the board. ⁓ he last year had a total of thirty five hundred yards and thirty touchdowns. So coming in with all the weapons they have, ⁓ and player retention they had at Oregon plus some of the guys in the transport border they got, their incoming twenty twenty six class. ⁓ like they say almost every year. ⁓ Oregon's looking good. They're continuing the upswing. Dan Lanning has continued to be able to recruit and and get talent in the building. Whether or not they can get over ⁓ make a postseason run will be the question. But there's there's no argument across the three of us that they have a talented roster. It's just whether or not they can put it together and make a postseason run. ⁓ but what's y'all's opinion on RAC Aaron: Well, I'll hop in on this before Ryan explodes because he's going to. I want to say that this list where he's put at, if we're talking like a Heisman contender, Dante Moore's number one. I'm gonna not on talent. I I think Dante Moore is a talented quarterback. I I don't I just don't know if he's the most talented in the league, but I think stat wise this year. RAC Chandler: He is. He is the preseason Heisman Heisman Permaner. RAC Aaron: He will be a dominant force. We covered Oregon's schedule. We talked about it. I don't see games that he's gonna have trouble throwing the ball downfield. ⁓ he's not up against anybody crazy. It's like, yeah. He'll have, I mean, there'll be there'll be some games, but I mean, other than that, there are teams that we barely know about that are showing up here to play Oregon this year. So I think he's gonna throw up huge numbers. I think he's gonna be in talks for the RAC Chandler: October thirtieth. RAC Aaron: Contingent. I just don't if I was ranking or I should rephrase this. For me, quarterbacks, I don't look at the stats for performance. I look at talent. I look at potential. And I think that's what you have to go off of is is the program working towards the potential of the player? And what is their cap? Like, where can they take their game? I think Dante Moore is a consistent player. RAC Chandler: Yeah, what's their upside? RAC Aaron: I think he is somebody that is talented. And I think if you put him in a high functioning team with good talent all around him, he's going to be a good consistent quarterback. But I don't think he has the highest potential threshold in the league right now. RAC Chandler: No, and before Ryan gives his opinion, I'll give mine real quickly as well, because mine's mine's a very short one. ⁓ I do think that he is a top eight quarterback and he deserves to be on this list. ⁓ maybe not of f solely off of just talent, but a lot of quarterback rankings and evaluations are construed based off of who they're around and how how their roster's constructed. what their weapons look like, their r their season schedule, all that kind of good stuff. So I do think that he does have a top eight potential upside this season. I don't think he's gonna be a limiting factor of any kind of run they could make. ⁓ do I think they're gonna make a postseason run? They haven't proven it, so until they do so, I'm gonna go with no. RAC Aaron: Yeah. I I think it's gonna be a two game in that that same thing we see from ⁓ is that second game, they're out. RAC Chandler: But I do think he does have talent at the collegiate level. I do think he will be an NFL quarterback. Whether or not he is a franchise quarterback in the NFL is one thing, but I do think he will get drafted. He will have a NFL career. ⁓ maybe as a backup, who knows? But that's my that's my two cents. RY4N: I'll start off by saying not compared to a normal person like me, but as a co college quarterback, he is not that good. ⁓ him and Derry Minsa are two people who before the season right now, before them even playing, they will be at the Heisman show at the end of the season, regardless of how good they do, because their schedules suck so bad. ⁓ they literally play nobody. They have a game and a half on their schedule, Ohio State lost, and then A game that they're supposed to beat USC. So they're in the playoffs right now. So that alone, he's gonna do well because they play ruckle middle school every week. So he's gonna throw for 35 to 4,000 yards. And they say he struggles. They say he struggles against elite level defenses because he plays no defenses except two games a year. And those are like outliers in their eyes that he just struggled that game. He had a bad day. RAC Chandler: It's a big range. RY4N: He played someone good, had a bad day. He plays terrible teams every week. ⁓ I keep telling you, I think he's the most overhyped quarterback here. I think he's okay. I think he's a good college quarterback, but to put him at number one is kind of unacceptable. RAC Aaron: I I i it is tough. I I disagree with the number one. I ⁓ Chandler, I agree with you. I think he deserves to be in the top eight just because we are a a a game of stats. And as much as I want it to be talent, potential threshold, all that, he is gonna have impressive stats. And you're not gonna be able to turn away from it. I I agree strength of schedule counts in this, but it doesn't count when we talk stats for some reason most of the time. And so I think in raw numbers alone, he'll be in the conversation. And like I I and I don't want to take away, yeah, that he is RAC Chandler: And he's a veteran guy. RAC Aaron: He's a smart quarterback. Like he doesn't he doesn't do a lot of like risk taking ball play. You know, he's not just throwing it into triple coverage all the time. It's not that like hazardous on off performance. He's consistent. And sometimes as a program, you just want a consistent quarterback. You don't need the best in the league. RY4N: I can see the appeal. He's a dual threat. He He he ha he's dual threat. He looks like he throws the ball around, but it's pretty easy when you have a good team around you. You kinda just feed people the ball against no name teams every week. But like you look at Indiana, he just couldn't fit the ball in the same places against good talent. He's not reading them as well when they run better coverages against him. Like he's I'd maybe argue he's like fifteen. Like fifteenth or something. He's really good. He's just not the elite RAC Chandler: He does have an upside, yes. RY4N: best quarterback in the country and they're gonna put him in the Heisman show right now. I don't I don't know. RAC Aaron: Yep. And like I said, we're probably gonna see him there. Like we're ⁓ the I I think statistically or stats wise, he's gonna be in the conversation because there's just too many games that he's gonna have great games with huge numbers. RY4N: He will be there. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RY4N: Yeah, I just can't belie like, his stats are going to be so inflated, but I don't know if he's actually RAC Chandler: But devil's advocate, I can argue that ⁓ Julian Sand was he had some a similar situation last year with lack of talent. They were playing on schedule. They only really played two competent defenses that were of the same level playing field as they were, being Miami and Indiana. And he still put up good numbers and his his completion percentage was still pretty decent, but he definitely took a step back. because he hadn't played that level of competition throughout the whole season. So it could be a a a a RAC Aaron: But I think I think there's an important distinction though for Saiyan. Saiyan was a red shirt freshman. ⁓ and that that's a big difference of like Saiyan has a huge potential ceiling above him because he's so young. And then to go in as a young quarterback and play some of the best defenses we had ⁓ you know, for that year. Of course, a young quarterback's going to struggle in that scenario. ⁓ more is heading into The graduate seasons. Like he's going into the high number. So he shouldn't get shaken against Ohio State when he gets there. If he does, then that is something that does reduce that overall potential. ⁓ and and not permanently, because you put him with a good coach, you put him in a good program where they get him coached in. Of course, like like I said, he's got talent. It's just he's getting the the best walk to show it off right now. RAC Chandler: Yeah, I completely agree. I I mean, yeah. RY4N: But the thing is Juli Julian Sain still threw for like two hundred sixty yards or something against Miami, right? RAC Chandler: Yeah. No no no no ⁓ no no no shot at at at Julian Saiyan. I'm just saying it that sip RAC Aaron: ⁓ yeah, no. Say it it was still impressive. Yeah. RY4N: And he got sacked like eight times, y'all didn't block at all. RAC Chandler: Yeah. No, no, and and yeah, like Aaron said, I was gonna say Julian's saying retro freshman season. He was first year starter, he'd never played. I mean he he opened with Texas, who was a preseason one. So he he had a lot of ⁓ learning curves that he should have hit and he didn't until the end of the season because of how ⁓ coached up he was in the off season. So just ⁓ it was just a com a com more so a comparison of schedule, ⁓ and how stats can be ⁓ shadowed down more on a on a team when they play a lot of nobodies. RAC Aaron: Yeah. RY4N: But Julian Sain like the most accurate quarterback in college football. And that's like I d I don't understand. That's a stat I'll like go on, but like when you have a guy in high school through for five thousand yards and then he shows up to college and forgets how to throw a football, you know, it's like what does that really mean? Yeah, he's terrible. That's exactly what I'm saying. Dante Moore's like a step up from that. He plays two games. But then again, like how could you be ready if you play two games? You know? RAC Chandler: Agree. You yeah, I'm never gonna throw any shade towards him. Grace Underwood. Mm-hmm. Exactly. Yeah. So RY4N: So I can't blame ⁓ too bad, but it's like I don't know. RAC Chandler: The next next person on the list is another super big name in college football. It's a guy that was supposed to be a Heisman finalist last year and did not get a rocky start, ended off really well. ⁓ Arch Manning. So I think this could be I think he's has the potential to be a top five quarterback in the country at the end of the season. If he continues to upswing like he did at the end of the season last year. ⁓ two, maybe a little high because he hasn't come out the gates in a season yet and just been very dominant, but maybe that's why they're predicting this. I do think with Cam Coleman, Ryan Wingo, all these different guys that are they're they have a lot of weapons on offense. He's gonna have plenty of tools to be able to go out there and get it done and showcase why he's a top quarterback in the country and why he should be a high NFL draft pick. So I think he should probably be somewhere mmm in the four ish slot if he really pans out the way he should. I think two might be a little high, but then again, ⁓ the he ⁓ he has trim he is upside. RAC Aaron: Go lower. I I I do think he has, I think he is one of those guys with potential. I mean, imagine having a target like Cam Coleman on your team. Like that would just be a dream for most teams to be able to keep somebody like that there. But no, it is something that it's like they gave him a weapon. Dark is using that. They he's got a scheme that works well. ⁓ Part of me does get RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: A little annoyed when we talk about media coverage for it. And they talk about, you know, this young quarterback, this fresh babyface quarterback. And it's like he's year four this year. And like this is something where we can talk about it. We can talk about flaws and some of these issues we see. It, you know, he has had time. He has used that time well. He is getting better. Like, I do want to say, I think this year is a fair year to put up the hype they've had for him because he did show us a lot of. Steam at the end of last season. There was a lot of playing there and a lot of potential. We'll see if it sticks up to it. I I think this is kind of one of those years that he's gotta come out and come out really strong and kind of earn that. He he's got a favorable he's got a favorable crew to be working with. He's got targets, he hopefully he's got blocks. We'll see how that all pans out. I just still think he's up there in all of these media presentations for it. But he still is unproven on that. So I think putting him at two is media hype and not necessarily reality. I'd have him down at the six to eight slot because I do think there's a chance that he runs off and does a gr has a great season, but we just haven't seen the pieces together yet. RY4N: This is another guy. I think Julian Stane is better than. Don't know how we haven't seen him yet. But I don't like hate him. Like, I think he's like one of the better quarterbacks. I him above Dante Moore for sure. Because but last year it rubbed me the wrong way. Because it's hard in his situation. Cause he had such a big target on his back. That it's like you're supposed to come in as a new starter and quarterback, and you're supposed to be the best guy they've ever seen. They're already talking about tanking. For drafting you in the NFL next year. They're just because your uncle's like super good. So it's really hard for a guy to come in and and lead up to the expectation. But I think going into last year, they were acting like he's going to be the best quarterback ever. Everyone was ranking him like he's winning the Heisman already before he even stepped on the field. So I think that this year he actually has some credibility that the last half of the season last year, like you were talking about, he actually started doing pretty well. I think he was picking up some steam. I think he can do good, especially with Cam Coleman, because Ryan Wingo's kind of one of those guys. They use him as a gadget guy, throw a lot of screens. So the ability for Cam Coleman to run downfield and open up the passing in that way is good. He's kind of a dual threat. He can actually run pretty good. So I I don't hate it. I actually think he will do pretty good. RAC Aaron: Yeah. And I I also want to take a moment and agree with you on this. Like, I do think Archibald here gets a lot of untoward hate that as a fandom we should be better than that because we're just mad that we'd hear about them all the time. But like for a kid who is football royalty, like let's just we can say Paint and Eli ⁓ and old Arch, they're football legends. Like it is something that they come out and I'll say Arch Manning that we're playing on right now has kept it quiet. He hasn't come out and said he's the next greatest thing in football. You know, I'm sure he's chirped some, but who doesn't? And but in the in the same thing, he hasn't come and swung, like, just wait till you meet my uncles and my dad type, you know, scenario. He's just played football, he's really acted like any other quarterback that we've seen. Because if we take that comparison point to like Shadur Sanders. And that personality type, Arch is kinda on the other end. Like he's just played quiet ball. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RY4N: He seems like a nice kid. He's just starring in his Viori commercials, playing ball. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Yeah, hey, I would too. Like you offer me a check, I'm doing a commercial for you. RAC Chandler: Exactly. I mean, when you when you haven't taken a snap of college football as a starter, and you're saying that you're gonna be a first overall draft pick, you're gonna be a Heisman contender, and you're gonna be a national championship contending team, I mean that is ⁓ a season setting up for failure. There's quite literally no upside. You're not gonna hit a grand slam and get all three in your first season as a starter unless some miraculous thing happens. Not saying it can't White literally the biggest pedestal you could have for a quarterback coming in as a as a first year starter. So it he he he handled it well. He never got rattled in the media, he never did anything like that. So I'm excited to see how he performs this year because I do think he was a little overhyped last year just because of the name. but I think this year he could definitely fill into that the top eight discussion and be a true contender in the postseason for a national championship. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Absolutely. RY4N: Me too, me too. RAC Chandler: So number three, I think this guy is the best quarterback that we've said so far, ⁓ out of the three. And that's Trinidad Chambliss. ⁓ with out of old miss. I think he is ⁓ as veteran as veteran comes. ⁓ he's been in college for I don't know, definitely more than five years. I don't know exactly how many years, but he's been in college for a long time. He has plenty of snaps under his belt. he RAC Aaron: Absolutely. Yeah. RAC Chandler: Going in with a fresh Ole Miss team. His head coach that was interim head coach is now gonna have a full season ahead of him as the the new head coach of Ole Miss. ⁓ he's gonna have Heisman contention written all over him all year long. He's gonna have a great statement game at Old Miss. Like he has he has all the chips ⁓ kind of working towards him to be able to have a great season if ⁓ if he chooses to, you know, perform the way he should. So it'll be it'll be a fun one to watch. But I definitely think out of the three quarterbacks we said so far, he's the He's the top guy, in my opinion. RY4N: Yeah, Trinidad Champ ⁓ sorry. Yeah, Trinidad Chambless is the best quarterback in the country. I think he was the best quarterback in the country last year. And I know, I'm sorry, I'm not trying to harp on you. Julian Sain, most accurate quarterback in the country. But every week, you know, him and Kewan Lacey are probably my favorite ⁓ backfield in college football right now. And I don't wanna what it is about Lane Kiff and getting quarterbacks. I love Jackson Dart because Jackson Dart was great, but Trinidad Chambliss RAC Aaron: I yeah, no, you go for it. RY4N: Might be better than Jackson Dart. Literally, the stuff he was doing in the playoffs, he was just single handedly keeping it in that game. King One Lease, he was hurt. He just kept getting hurt every game. And he was just running around. He was playing his game. He is amazing. Amazing. RAC Aaron: ⁓ yeah. ⁓ Chambliss is just one of those guys that if the the hard thing about it is if you're watching tape on him, you're not seeing that like 80 yard bomb every other play. You're not seeing that like what people would call generational stuff that gets that flag very quick. What you are seeing is smart, smart plays. What needs to be done that play to get the results is what he does. He and when he needs to gamble, he gambles. RAC Chandler: He's a gamer. RAC Aaron: When he needs to be consistent and safe, he's safe. Like it there, it's just one of those guys that like I don't even think you gotta call plays for. I think you tell him just go out there and have fun. And he's gonna get you wins. RAC Chandler: And he's incredible at extending plays. Like not only does he make the plays, but he keeps he keeps drives going because he's so good at extending plays with his legs and going through his progressions, making people miss. He's smart with the ball. Like he ⁓ he's a he's incredible to watch. And in that semi er s not semifinal game. Semifinal game? Quarter final game? Semifinal game? The one where they they wield the car the when they when they wheeled the stage on the field like four different times and the yeah. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. Well yeah. RY4N: Quarter final against Georgia. Yes, Georgia, quarter. RAC Chandler: That I mean that was one of the most fun games I watched all season because he was just I mean, every time he thought they were out, he would come back in, he would scramble for a few cheap yards, he would extend plays, make b i is is he's a he's a great guy to watch. RAC Aaron: And and you watch Georgia making the adjustments. You watch them doing what they were supposed to be doing, a counterem, and how their plays still managed to change. Like he kept that ball moving and driving. And then when we get to like the Miami game, which what was he one play away? Which I'll go on and say that last play, that ⁓ that clock killer pass interference. Yep, in the corner of the end zone. RAC Chandler: Pass interference in the corner of the end zone. RAC Aaron: And if he would have had another, because that was almost a complete pass. That was almost you give him another 15 yards to give that pass again. I think that comes down for the win. And I mean, i in the game of what ifs, but he went against Miami, which was a incredible defense, a great defense. Without a head coach at an interim head coach, lost the main guy for this and still gave a hyper competitive performance. That just speaks everything you need to know about him. So yeah, number one here for me. I think if your list doesn't have a number one, you've got some kind of bias. And that's a Mississippi State fan saying this. Like I I can't speak highly enough of him and it's it's hard to give Ole Miss any kind of credit to see anything good for happen to their program. RY4N: Yeah, I'm an Auburn fan. I have no reason to be tied with like intertwined with Ole Miss at all. They outplayed Miami a lot in that game. Kimon Lacey hurt his his hamstring, and I kept saying Keemon Lacey's big thing. He's so good at churning after contact, getting a couple extra yards, and he couldn't do that when he was hurt. So Jordan literally had the entire game on his shoulders, and they outplayed Miami. They should have won that game. But he is like a nightmare. If I was a defensive coordinator, you can't stop him. You can't contain him. He's too fast. He's like too much of an X Factor guy. When you're talking about the upside of Dante Moore, it would be Trinidad Chambliss. He can run, he can throw, he has vision. You literally cannot stop him. He is amazing. I'm so excited to see him play this year. Except against Auburn. RAC Aaron: Me too. Yeah. Yeah. The egg bowl won't be as fun ⁓ for us, but he is. RAC Chandler: Yeah, with Key One Lacy back too. RY4N: He's so good. He's so good. Keon Lacey's so good. Let's make a running back list next. RAC Chandler: okay, so ha at the halfway point of this list, ⁓ coming in at the number four slot, we have Darien Minsa ⁓ playing at Miami this year. Transfer from Duke. He was he finished second in the power four quarterbacks ⁓ last year with almost four thousand passing yards. ⁓ so now he transferred to Miami. He has Malachi Tony and he has his ex teammate ⁓ Cooper Barcati. butchering that name, I apologize. But he also was the second leading receiver in the a ⁓ ACC behind Malik I Tony at eleven hundred yards. So again, schedule's gonna help a lot. Weapons around him is gonna help a lot. You have Mark Fletcher in the backfield as well. So you have a lot of pieces around you to have a successful stat padding season. So this is a guy like Ryan said, I think is going to be in New York at the end of the year. ⁓ I think he has an upside as a quarterback, but it's gonna be we're gonna see. It'll it'll all play out. He's not gonna be battle tested probably but one or two times during the middle of the season and then postseason. So it might be a too little too late thing come postseason if he's not really ready for the challenge. RAC Aaron: Yeah, it it Okay. No, no, you take first. RY4N: Actually think ⁓ sorry, go go go. I actually think he is good. ⁓ I was hating on him. I lumped him in with Dante Moore. I actually think he is good, but he definitely will be another guy who his stats are boosted a little bit. So I think he really fits their scheme. He's a really good dual threat quarterback. I don't think he's gonna be like as good as Cam Ward, but he's just gonna kind of step in, like in that role, and I think everyone's gonna see him kind of like that. And yeah, with all the pieces around him, how could you not be successful? I know their schedule is a little easy and RAC Chandler: I do too. Yeah. RY4N: But you also are coming off a year. They almost won the national championship with Carson Beck, who's like terrible. So he's gonna be significantly better than Carson Beck. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: Yeah, th I agree with that. Like I like this is a big step up going from Duke to Miami here with all the expectation that Miami's got on it. But they do have Malachi Tony. And I mean, as somebody that is an explosive player that we're gonna keep an eye on that everybody's gonna be talking about this season. It's kinda like when Georgia was ⁓ I'm gonna blink on his name all of a sudden. ⁓ they're RY4N: Break powers. RAC Aaron: He's on the radio. Brock yeah, Bowers. ⁓ yeah. It was like when Georgia had Brock Bowers. It didn't matter who was quarterback. He just gave Brock Bowers the ball. Like you had an option that got you yards. ⁓ Malachi Tony has that potential, so he does have some time to grow in it when it's not everything's gotta be him making the plays. He's got a superstar next to him. And sometimes that that helps him. Yep. And ⁓ like with all that going on, he doesn't have to be great, just has to be smart. RAC Chandler: Boyd ⁓ not Brock Boyd, Brock Powers. RY4N: Make it dance. Mm. RAC Chandler: Yeah, same with Mark Fletcher in the backfield. RAC Aaron: And I think he can do that. I think four is way too high. I think that is I I think you're right. That's a s stats projection, not necessarily talent projection. I because we just don't know. We just don't know how he's gonna respond to that. I think I don't think I'd put him in the top eight on any list I had going purely based off of, you know, how does that translate? Mine would be a conservative leaving amount, not a not anything. Poor for his play. RAC Chandler: I I think if I was gonna sub him with anybody, it might be a Gunnar Stockton or somebody of that caliber. ⁓ somebody that has experience in best conference in college football. ⁓ and has the you know that's hard to I was hard to say. RAC Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: But it's it's just a more proven guy. But I it's no shade to Darien Minta. I think he he does have the potential and upside, like you guys said, to be in that top eight list. But somebody like Gunnar Stockton, who I guess I just spoiled the rest of the list, he's not on this list in ⁓ in the top eight, ⁓ could be there in his replace. RAC Aaron: But ⁓ Mince has got to earn his place on the list. Like that'll be something where he can have that season that puts him into the Kaisman cut talk. He absolutely could, but he's gonna have to play great to do that. RAC Chandler: Agree. Agree. RY4N: Yeah, but it's like also he's not taking like a huge step up in the competition he's playing. You're kind of just playing simil yeah, you're playing the same comrades, similar people, but you're just putting the rest of the people around you are gonna be significantly better. And I'll say another thing, Georgia and Gunnar Stockton, he like never really throws the ball downfield. They kind of run a lot of runs, outside runs, delayed block releases with tight ends, little out routes. And I noticed it was so annoying watching Miami last year. RAC Chandler: Yeah, he's in the same conference. Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: Yeah, same with the same. RY4N: Cause they would run a bunch of screens, a bunch of five yard out routes, like every single time, and then run the ball up the middle for eight yards with Mark Fletcher. So it's kind of a similar thing. They run a super annoying offense. Then every time they try to throw the ball downfield, Carson Beck would just throw it ten yards out of bounds. Can't do that. Darren Minson might put it on a little more. But you're not gonna go you're just gonna give yourself more production though, that you have a better team around you playing the same people. I will say with Gunnar Stockton, he had the highest QBR last year, but like they don't RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: He did. RY4N: run a real offense. He runs a lot of screens, a lot of drag routes. Never really throws it downfield. But he actually is pretty good. The one game against Texas when they came in and he had to play against Carson Beck, he he's out there fighting for the game. You know, he has the heart. He's pretty good. He doesn't make mistakes. He he is a game manager, feeds people the ball, but he does not mess up. RAC Chandler: Yep. Agree. RY4N: So I'd like to see him on here. Dante Moore, get off. Gunnar Stockton. Get in. RAC Chandler: So at the five slot, ⁓ we finally have my guy Julian Saiyan coming in, welcoming himself to the list. ⁓ I think the key contributor just the two losses back to back in the postseason. ⁓ I don't think it's necessarily his fault. I mean, especially in the Miami game, that screen that turned into a pick six. Jeremiah holds a block, that pick six doesn't happen. So, I mean, there's a lot of things that could have gone differently. Again, his completion percentage was still just fine. He still threw for two hundred plus yards in both those games. I think again, like Aaron said, he was a redshirt freshman, first time starting. He had a full season under his belt now. He has postseason experience against probably the two best defenses he's gonna play against the rest of his college career. ⁓ I think the only factor that's gonna hold Ohio State away from I know I'm getting a little off topic here, but RAC Aaron: Ha ha ha. RAC Chandler: The only factor that's gonna hold Ohio State away from making a postseason run with Jillian Saiyan is gonna be the offensive line. And I do think the offensive line coming in this year, they have Arthur Smith, they have his assistant offensive line coach coming in. If they can build around him, they have that whole the whole offensive line, I think, is the most seasoned offensive line in the country as far as starts. I think they have upwards of high eighties and starts combined as a unit, which is incredible. So Another year in the strength program, a brand new offensive line coach coming from the NFL, and an offensive coordinator coming from the NFL that was an offensive lineman, I think will help a lot. So as long as he can have those pieces around him, and of course Jeremiah Smith's there too, that's a pretty, you know, good check down if things get a little hairy. ⁓ but if the offensive line can take another step in the right direction, he will definitely be in that top five discussion again and have a chance to go to New York as well. ⁓ I just I do think it's crazy that he was a Heisman finalist and he's so so far down the list, but I I I think it's very very recency bias. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Now I'm gonna say it yes, but I'll also agree I'm not upset with him at the number five spot. Because he still has room to grow right now. This season he can show us that he's achieved that growth. And then that season after that, put him in the top three discussion. If he follows through, but right now I would say he is at five. Like I I think you could have that argument. I think there's a couple people RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: That I would say have proven the talent that could go above that. So I don't think it's a misplace here. I think potential-wise, he could be much higher. And this season, he could be in that top three discussion by the end easily. I just think where we are right now from the end of last season, I'd still put him at five. And RAC Chandler: Yeah. It'll be an interesting conversation because after this season goes and gets drafted. It'll be well, I guess I should preface if he does not have a good season and he some for some reason comes back for year three, it's gonna be a wild discussion and situation with Tavian Sinclair ready to go behind him, whether or not he transfers. So hopefully that doesn't happen and hopefully he goes to the NFL after the season. I think he will. I think he's not gonna take a step back. I think if he has the same exact season he had last year, he's gonna be a late first round draft pick probably. ⁓ so I I'm excited to watch him play again 'cause ⁓ from what I've seen he's made a lot of Yeah. RY4N: Julian Sain, I would put him at two right behind Trinidad Chambliss, just because Trinidad Chambliss has a little X factor upside that Julian Sain doesn't have. And that's not his fault. Because Ryan Day does not let his quarterbacks run. And you can see it, he literally doesn't let him run. He gets up to the line, he's about to run, throws out of bounds, every single time. Not allowed to. He did talk about he will let him do it this year. You look at Julian Sain's highlight tape in high school, he ran the ball all the time. He can physically run the ball. They don't let him. And also the O line thing. When you have Brian Hartline, a wide receiver coach, trying to scheme, block schemes. Of course, when you run little packages on defense and stunts and stuff, they're not going to be able to pick them up if your offensive line coach is and your scheming is from a wide receiver coach. You bring in Arthur Smith, who has coached a lineman, been an offensive coordinator of the NFL, historically can run the ball a lot, and you have his other guy that's an offensive line coach from the NFL. They're going to be coached up. You have an old, seasoned veteran line who's gonna get bigger, stronger, smarter, faster. They're gonna know their assignments better, and you're gonna be able to run the ball. Bo Jackson, you didn't even start him to the third or fourth game. And him and Isaiah West are gonna be t probably one of the best running back duos in the country. They're super fast. They're both two twenty now this year. And that just opens the pass game even more. So he's gonna be able to block. He's gonna be able to throw better. And you still have Jeremiah, who is the best football player in the decade probably. He's already the best NFL receiver and he hasn't even played yet. So you have that, and he is the most accurate football player in the country, ac most accurate quarterback in the country. He's gonna be amazing. He won the Heisman last year if they beat Indiana. It was him or Fernando Mendoza, whoever won that game won the Heisman. And y'all just happen to lose. Because every single possible thing that could go right for Indiana that game happened. And I'm happy for them. But it sucks because you miss a field goal, Tegra blocks a little better. RAC Aaron: Ha ha. RY4N: And anyone blocks a little better, you win that game and he wins the Heisen. So I don't know how we six I'm putting him at two. RAC Chandler: I I mean you would think ⁓ audio listeners that th I'm the Auburn fan and he's the Ohio State fan and I'm the Auburn fan by default because of how how much he's hyping up Ohio State. So, you know, I appreciate the the the f the love. RAC Aaron: No, I I actually I think it's fair. I think this season, Ohio State, as we've talked about, I mean this is their season to take it all the way or to lose it. Like this is if they lose it, it's on them. Yep. Like it they this isn't something where they have the pieces now to to just roll over everybody and a difficult schedule to do that for. Like and to have a difficult schedule and still RAC Chandler: Those are the two options. RAC Aaron: see something like I still think they're gonna go all the way. That I think is just it there's just so many upsides to what Ohio State has accomplished already. Like I said, I'll still go with fifth is good place for him. I want to see that change. I want him to be two by the end of the year. And I think two is possible. Trinidad is one of those guys that's just a freak out there. Like I I just can't see somebody out the gate. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: topping that right now. Could happen, but ⁓ I think there is I think there is one quarterback in in particular that could. We'll talk about it afterwards because I know he's not going to be on this list, but there is there is a a dark horse that I think could pull it. But I I just think it's a good place to keep Julian Saiyan. I think he will definitely be in the top three discussion by the end of the season. RY4N: Aaron, I'm not saying I'm not putting this at you. I I ver I love your opinion, leaving him there. I think other people, like the media, are so disrespectful to Julian Sain that they just say he doesn't have a good arm. He's not big enough. He's not fast enough. I think he's one of the most smartest, the most accurate quarterback in the country. They try to say his receiving core was too good last year. They were hurt for I think RAC Chandler: Well it RAC Aaron: Okay. RY4N: Carnell was out for three games and Julian is out for two games. You come out in the Texas game. They didn't let him do anything because they didn't trust him because he didn't have the experience under his belt. I think him and Trinidad go right here. I think Trinidad has a better upside running the ball. But I think Heisman should be a coin flip between them two. And like what else can he prove to you? Like hit his player comparison for me is Joe Burrow. He just throw puts the ball on the guy. Let's him make the play. He can extend plays. He doesn't run the ball, but he opens it up by extending the pocket and getting outside of the line and throwing the ball and stuff. I don't know what else he can prove to everybody. But he puts it right on the guys, lets him make the play. RAC Aaron: No, no, and I I would say for what he's doing, I agree with you. Like I think I think experience would have helped because there were a couple times he rolled out on a cleaner pocket because you you do start to see, you know, holes that aren't in the line when the line isn't protecting you the way they should be. ⁓ I I do think there were a couple things that were that were just young mistakes. I think he will have those drilled out of him. The RAC Chandler: Course. RAC Aaron: The tempo play from Ryan Day was a little weird. That's also gonna mess with any quarterback. I'm not, I wouldn't put anything out there against him. I do want to see that development in the legs. I think that is the one thing that we could see on the individual level improvement on, as well as just a little more pocket presence and ⁓ just a slight amount more. I I wouldn't throw it like he needs a whole renovation on that. Just being able to have some design runs to bail him out of. what would be just an out of the, you know, out of bounds throw, just tossing it away to, you know, a two, three yard gain to give you a couple more options. RY4N: Yeah, and that's great. And he's not per ⁓ sorry. That's great. He's not perfect. Like, you look at the Grambling State game, you know, second game. They hold him back against Texas because they can't trust him. He's a young freshman. You go into the Grambling State game. There was a couple of times there was an out route into the back right corner of the end zone that he waited too long, hesitated, threw the ball, interception. Stuff like that. That is the learning curve. But I think later throughout the year he did start to get used to that. And I think that Arthur Smith's offense will be a lot more dynamic and open up for him. RAC Chandler: You're probably gonna need to You're probably gonna need Up Do interception. Yep. RAC Aaron: Absolutely. RY4N: Which I'm excited about. But yeah, he is not perfect. And I think the room for him to grow is why I'm so excited. Because I see the potential of how great he is. And I think they'll let him lose this year. Because also the Ryan Day situation, they ran the equivalent to eight games worth of plays, essentially. But ⁓ by the end of the regular season. And he's still through for three thousand yards. So they let him loose a little, you know, he might be up in the four, forty five hundred. RAC Aaron: Me too. RY4N: area. I'd love to see it. I love to see it. I'm not trying to disagree with you. I'm just saying I I I want to see it. I'm excited. RAC Chandler: Yeah, let's hope. Two things. Two things. The first one you're gonna have to cut, but I'm gonna say just for you guys. Julian Sand needs some of Trinidad's mel melanin on his life to be able to run the ball a little better because he's too much of a white fella back there in a statue. He needs a little bit of ⁓ of of of seasoning to him to get him more explosive in the pocket. RAC Aaron: I I think we will. Yeah. RY4N: Can you say that in a way can you say that in a way that I don't have to cut it? RAC Chandler: think so. He needs to be black. ⁓ if Julian Sano's black, we're good to go. ⁓ no, don't no RY4N: Think it's important. RAC Aaron: I i if no. No. No, if if God gave him legs instead of clompers, yeah, they he'd be doing better. RY4N: Can I leave this in? Can I leave this in? Please RAC Chandler: Okay, so I'll rephrase so you can ⁓ and the last thing I'll say is Having two ex NFL head coaches as your coordinators for a college football team is incredible. I think that is just the two most overqualified people for the job. They love it. They love Columbus. They love being under Ryan Day. I think Ryan Day, once he got over the hurdle of Michigan and won the national championship, I think i the the the light just turned on and I the adjustments being made, people he's bringing in the facility, everything's a lot more everything is super intentional now. He has a very NFL like program and I think it's just gonna they're gonna keep upswinging. And I think having, like you said, Arthur Smith coming in to kind of tie the bow on that program with two now two offensive coordinators and defensive coordinator that was NFL head coaches is is a huge upswing. RY4N: this did turn into a praise Ohio State episode on accident. But I think that they are so good and that Julian Sain is such an integral part of having a an extreme role as their quarterback. RAC Chandler: Of course. Okay, so enough Ohio State talk. RAC Aaron: That's your yearly allotment. We gave you more time than we ever have. ⁓ RAC Chandler: Yeah. You're not gonna see me on the sh you're not gonna see me on the show ⁓ next week because I've used all of my talking time this week. ⁓ so my month time has gone. So I'll see you guys in July. Yeah, my minutes have expired. I need to call Mint Mobile and get some more minutes. ⁓ Number six Yes. Number six, we have CJ Carr coming in from Notre Dame. RY4N: No more big ten. RAC Aaron: Yeah. You're gonna have to re up the plan. Yeah. Worry global. RY4N: Or Eagle Mobile. RAC Chandler: I think there's been a lot of ⁓ rack ⁓ banter towards Notre Dame's fan base as a whole and ⁓ all the joining a conference talk and all that kind of stuff. But all joking aside, I do think that Notre Dame and ⁓ boy, I'm blinking on his name. Marcus Freeman ⁓ has built a great roster. They've been postseason contenders multiple years in a row now, and I think Again, CJ Carr, another year of experience. He has weapons around him. They stole two from Ohio State. They have a great defense. They have probably the best corner in the country coming back. they have all the tools again, especially but I know this is an offensive quarterback discussion, but I think CJ Carr can definitely be a Heisman contender at the end of the year. RY4N: And I won't say again, I think they're gonna be the most approved, remember guys. I said that. I don't think they were that good last year. RAC Aaron: I would ⁓ good. Mm. The most improved. Insane. I forget how insane of a take that was, but yes. RAC Chandler: Yeah, th they're the most niche team improved from last year. RY4N: Like I don't think they were the best team going into last year. I definitely don't think they deserve going to the playoff. You lost to two of the teams in the playoff. You know, why would you be in there? But okay. Whatever. But he was a true freshman. And I think we saw a lot of potential. And it's kinda hard here, 'cause I feel like this is another cop out answer 'cause I've been keep doing this. They don't play anybody. So of course his stats are gonna look good. But even in the hard games, they still put up a lot of points. Yes they had Jeremiah Love, but he only ran for like thirteen hundred yards or something. So he he he was pretty good. Production's a little low. So CJ Carr was picking it up. Weird thing about them, they're not really talking about Quincy Porter. They're talking about Milan Graham a lot, which is kinda weird. I thought they would be talking about them both. Don't know what happened to Quincy Porter. No he's there. No he had some great issues. But I think the people around him and another year of experience RAC Chandler: I think he's in stud he's in study hall right now. RY4N: Yeah, him and Arvell, Arvell's his tutor. They're they're there and I think he will do pretty Yeah, twelve at ACT score. Yeah. So I think he will do pretty good. But ⁓ I don't know, I keep saying this. I think they will be like a actual playoff contender team. They will make the playoffs because their team their schedule sucks so bad, but then they're actually a pretty good team. RAC Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: And Ty Simpson. RY4N: But I keep not have these like there's like a few elite guys that I have at the top of my list and then he's just one of the guys that like there's a few pretty good ones that I think are kind of floaters that you could interchange below that. So I think him in the top ten, probably not bad. More of like there's probably five no doubters and then there's ten guys that he could float around with. Yeah. RAC Chandler: Yeah. ⁓ RAC Aaron: Yeah. Now on this list in particular, six is a weird place for him. Because if we're talking about the stats he has potential to put up this year, crazy season or a crazy layout in front of him, he should be at two or three for the for what they've ranked in this list of like high numbers, guys, what we're gonna see. DJ Carr no doubt has the potential to put up some crazy numbers this year. RY4N: Mm-hmm. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: So putting him down at six seems weird to me that he's all I think if I were making a list, I think this is the realm I'd put him in. I do think there's talent, I think there's a lot of potential here. I I agree completely with everything you said about Notre Dame's program. They've built something great over there. I think it's still growing. I think it's still got upsides that we're gonna see. And I think CJ Car is gonna be part of that. And I think we could see a great season out of him. I but I it just to me, six on this list seems crazy. Because I think he's going to put up some huge numbers. Very similar to Dante Moore, where both of them stats wise are going to be very impressive. RY4N: See, I'd take him over Dante Moore. I know that sounds crazy, but RAC Chandler: We're gonna get right into Dante Moore's shirt or jersey to wear for the Hey let me let me ask you question. You taking Byron Brown or Dante Moore for your quarterback this year? RY4N: Dude, I like don't hate him. I don't hate him. RAC Aaron: Yeah. It just means Dante Moore. RAC Chandler: Mm. RY4N: I didn't see terrible, but like it's weird just the people they decide to say are like the best. It's just so random. It's like he's good. But like why him? RAC Aaron: I well, I think it's I think it's safe. I think when we talk about this, he's a safe person to put up because he will put stats. You can say at the end of the season, at the beginning of the season, I said that he was gonna do great. You know, they aren't out here making the UNLV prediction. They're saying Dante Moore is gonna put up a good statistical season. That's pretty factual. Like RAC Chandler: Yeah. And I can agree with that. RY4N: The That's probably good. But the three I remember from the beginning of last year were Arch, Ty Simpson, and John Matir. And Arch kinda sucked the first half. The other two kinda suck the rest of the year too. So it's just weird. I don't know why they pick certain people and they push narratives really hard. I hope he does well. His stats are gonna look great. When it's playoff time and he actually has to start a season in November RAC Chandler: That's that's interesting too, with the landscape of college football, if it does go into a twenty fourteen playoff, a lot of these big blue chip programs, I mean their season's really not gonna start until November, December. The rivalry game will happen. That game will always be important. And then if they take away conference championships, they'll go right into the playoffs. So your season really starts the last week of November. RY4N: I'm sorry for being so hard. RAC Chandler: ⁓ I mean obviously there's games played before then, but i i if your team is always a consistent top twenty four team, you have nothing to worry about. And it's just like a you're just kicked back on the couch every Saturday, you're just watching some good football and no stress in the world, the November thirtieth hits and bang your season starts. So it's gonna be interesting to see how that all unfolds. RY4N: Especially with Dante Moore, it's like, ⁓ we've done so good all year. And then I would say, like, Ohio State punches in the mouth, but it's more like just running them over or bombing them with some nuke or something. And they go, ⁓ no. We yeah, they mop, bunker bust the Oregon Ducks. And then they're gonna have to recover. And they're going, ⁓ no, we're doing good again. And their season starts in November. It's like a lot of teams are like that. Especially ACC teams are kind of like that. Big Ten. RAC Chandler: Mm. RY4N: Getting less like that. Hey, getting less like that. You got a couple games and that y'all have a tough schedule. But like Oregon, easy schedule. You know? They automatically won ten games right now. They AI, let's have AI play the games for ⁓ already. Type it in AI. ⁓ okay. Let's put ⁓ at eight right now. RAC Chandler: Mm. RAC Aaron: Ha ha ha. RAC Chandler: Mm. Mm. RAC Aaron: No, I I will say with eighteen teams in the Big Ten. A couple of ⁓ are some stinkers in there. You know, we even get to play one. ⁓ but RAC Chandler: Big eighteen. RY4N: I'll say like fourteen of them. Sorry. RAC Chandler: Hey, don't lose to one of those people. ⁓ RAC Aaron: Yeah, hey, we about to we about to increase the win rate over SEC ⁓ this year for y'all, so you're welcome. RY4N: We won't say which ones. We we won't say which ones are the bad ones, but there are some. Sure, we have Kentucky. Yes, like yeah, we have Kentucky and Vanderbilt. So Okay, well I didn't want to be mean and target Aaron. What are we doing? RAC Chandler: That's funny. There's some in every conference. In Arkansas, and Mississippi State. RAC Aaron: Yeah, we have Auburn and B State. RAC Chandler: That's just the truth. They won their first SEC game or ranked game or whatever it was last year in like three years. RAC Aaron: Listen, listen. It only took us three years, okay? Three years. ⁓ RY4N: Sorry. RAC Chandler: I will okay. So on the same Big Ten train, we're gonna go to the Big Ten for the next quarterback. And I'm gonna read this word for word because the CBS writer has to be a USC fan. ⁓ it says Jaden Mavia ⁓ Mayava Mavia, Mayava. USC. ⁓ is he a quarterback? Yes. Does he play for Lincoln Riley? Yes. RY4N: My Aba? ⁓ yeah. ⁓ sorry sorry sorry. RAC Chandler: Therefore, whatever you think of USC as a team, my is it my myava? RY4N: Believe so. I think he's Hawaiian. RAC Chandler: Is that what is? Okay. Whatever you think of USC as a team, Maiava is a Heisman contender. After he threw for thirty seven hundred yards last season, it would be silly to suggest otherwise. That's a direct quote from CBS on Jaden Myava. RY4N: Silly. I guess we're silly. RAC Aaron: It's that's RY4N: That is hilarious. RAC Aaron: That is such a wild, like that's the kind of thing you could put your number one spot. This is number seventh on the list. A crazy for yeah. Does he play for Lincoln Riley? Yeah. Did he make it to the postseason? ⁓ like it yeah, it's like that's where we get this statistic versus what's going on with this conversation of like, does he play is he a quarterback? Yes. Does he play for Lincoln Riley? Yes. RAC Chandler: Is he a quarterback? Yes. Okay. RAC Aaron: Did they have issues last season, despite throwing thirty seven hundred yards? Yes. So therefore, it's a wild take just to be that confident in your number seven pick. RAC Chandler: I will say For Lincoln Riley's case, that statement needs to be true. That he's a Heisman contender and that he has a great season and he goes through and makes a postseason run because they've had so many they've had the pieces together and the money backing it for a couple seasons in a row now and fallen short. And there's a lot of money going into the season and this recruiting cycle. So they this whole narrative here needs to be true if you're a USC fan. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. That this is this is very much if if Lincoln Riley wants to keep enjoying that California sun, he needs and I don't even know if a playoff appearance or not a playoff appearance, but a postseason appearance is enough. It might have to be a deep postseason appearance. RAC Chandler: I I I don't know. I I think if they can get in the postseason you can't argue it. Now if we're talking about twenty four team charity playoff, then yes, I would think a deep run needs to happen. RY4N: Mm. I would keep it. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. RY4N: Okay, and I might be an idiot 'cause you keep saying names. 'Cause you keep saying names and I'm like, ⁓ yeah, he's pretty good. But we're doing the best quarterback list. They're probably gonna be pretty good if they're on the top of the list. So I don't know what I keep doing. Yeah, ⁓ yeah, he's pretty good. See again, I think he's really good. I would put him way over Dante Moore. Yeah, way over Dante Moore and all those guys. No, no, no, no, that's right. Same conference. RAC Chandler: Yeah, for sure. ⁓ wow, yeah. Yeah, that guy's probably a top eight quarterback. That's Auburn education, guys. Yeah. Look. RAC Aaron: Yeah. I I think we could have ⁓ in the conversation. That that's a little crazy. Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. RAC Chandler: That's the that's the Auburn ⁓ that's the Auburn education. RY4N: Okay, I didn't go to Auburn. You know, I'm not good at I'm not smart enough to go to a good school like Auburn. RAC Chandler: Auburn Aub The Auburn f the Auburn fandom education. Actually I I'm throwing shots at myself, I guess, because I'm getting my masters at Auburn, so ⁓ well, we'll see. RY4N: Yeah, in your face. Okay, well, what I'm gonna say is I think he will do really good, but everyone can't be a Heisman contender. There's only four other spots with Jeremiah Smith in New York next year. How in the world are you gonna put everyone up there? RAC Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: The You didn't hear Well you They they added sixteen slots to the to the to the Heisman convention One per team What RAC Aaron: But but here, real quick, I do want you to answer these questions. RY4N: Twenty fourteen ISO. Everyone gets one. Everyone gets one. RAC Aaron: There Yeah. So we have we have four slots, but I want I want you to I want you to answer these questions honestly for me. Number one, is he a quarterback? RAC Chandler: ⁓ RY4N: Yes. RAC Chandler: If if so, check yes. RAC Aaron: And number two, does he play for Lincoln Riley? Therefore is a Heisman contender. Like that's that's this whole checklist. Yeah. RY4N: He does, he does. RAC Chandler: Yeah, that's this is their hi the Heideman checklist. RY4N: Number three, is he Hawaiian? RAC Chandler: Does he have a cool Hawaiian tattoo on his on his left arm? RY4N: Yes he does. That's our guy. RAC Aaron: Yes. So yeah, no i it's crazy. RAC Chandler: Is he a fan of the Duke's Mango Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger? RAC Aaron: Yes. ⁓ but now him at number seven. Stat wise, sure. I there's a lot of people I put at number seven in this ⁓ in my list above. Yeah. RY4N: I'll venture to say yes. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. Just wrong. You a you ain't you answer you answer the checklist. I mean, come on. He's number seven. What's funny? ⁓ hold on hold on. Before you say that, what's funny is how many there's what four four people at the Heisman? Five? Is it four or five? Five five? Five people total and he's number seven. So the math, you know, doesn't ⁓ math there. RY4N: Let's hear ⁓ No. RAC Aaron: Yeah, that's true. That's true. So RY4N: ⁓ No no, Erin, let's hear him. Five. Well four with Jeremiah Smith. RAC Aaron: Yeah. This is SEC math we're doing here. RY4N: Quarterbacks too. Wait. Was there only four last year? Jeremiah Love Pav. ⁓ there I thought there was always five. I thought there was always five. Okay, then there's only three other thoughts of Jeremiah Smith. Which cut it in twenty five percent. He can't make it too but Aaron, Aaron, he should be higher. He plays for Lincoln Riley. And he he's a Heisman contender. RAC Chandler: Yeah there's four. I th I thought there was only four. I thought there only four. Bang. RAC Aaron: True, he's a Heisman container. He's gotta be in the top four. This RAC Chandler: It would be silly to suggest otherwise. RAC Aaron: Yeah. RY4N: Is his name Jordan Mayavia? Yes. You're silly. He should be like four. Apparently. RAC Chandler: ⁓ i i he has one of those goose things on the front porch. He 'cause he's a silly goose. ⁓ that's good. Okay, to round out our list ⁓ RY4N: Mm-hmm. ⁓ wait, okay, sorry. Wait no no I would like to hear a couple, Aaron. I want to hear your your dark horse answers. RAC Chandler: Well we he's doing that after. He already said that he's doing it after the li after the re after the How about you listen to your co-host? I mean, geez Louise. ⁓ at the number eight slot, coming in as a tripper from the old TCU Hornfrogs. Josh Hoover going to play at going to play at the Hoo-hoo-hoosiers with old. RAC Aaron: I think Yeah, yeah, we'll wait till we have number eight. Yeah. I'll throw it in there. RY4N: ⁓ MB, MB, keep on keep on sorry. RAC Aaron: Ha ha ha. RY4N: Ho ho ho RAC Chandler: Mr. Eyebrow, Kurt Signetti, face of CFB twenty twenty seven cover. ⁓ he I know, that's great. I think I could be uncultured and way off here. I personally, similar to Fernando Mendoza, the old actually not similar because I saw him play against Auburn and I saw he was good there. I have not seen any Josh Hoover highlights to make it seem like he is RY4N: I love that they put the schmolder in. RAC Chandler: The eighth best quarterback in the country coming into Indiana and he's gonna follow in a Heisman trophy winning national championship quarterback footsteps. Those are big shoes to fill in themselves, but you gotta give Kurtzinetti the benefit of the doubt, I guess, in the situation because he's done it two years in a row. ⁓ he's had what, one loss in two years? I'm not kid so RAC Aaron: Yeah. And now I'm gonna agree with you here that this number eight spot is not for Josh Hoover. It's for Kurt Signetti. That's RAC Chandler: It says it says don't sleep on him and as the last sentence. RAC Aaron: Yeah. But it's like the the whatever name was showing up here for Indiana was gonna be on a list because Kurt Signetti did pick Mendoza. ⁓ he picks this guy. I haven't seen enough. I haven't done my due diligence as a football fan to go watch his highlights. I don't know where what we're looking at here to say like we'd put him here. He could earn it. He could definitely be on the list by the end of the season, but I wouldn't put him there just because I don't know who he is. RAC Chandler: Apparently he's the active passing yards leader in all of FBS. So maybe we are uncultured because he has the most passing yards as at any active quarterback in college football. So may maybe we're making maybe we're making ourselves look like idiots here. RY4N: Okay, I actually can't believe that. I actually can't believe that. I've seen him play. He's like okay. Playing against TCU type talent, he's like okay. Like they don't play anybody. He's okay. Okay. Dude, and Max Dugan was terrible. He was terrible. Like I don't know what you want. They had Quentin Johnston who can't even catch a football. He could do it in college, but I don't know what happened. He like lost his hands or something. RAC Aaron: B. RAC Chandler: Apparently he's the What are you trying to say th this hornfrog talent over there? They went to the national championship a couple years ago. Mm. RAC Aaron: I do I remember watching that game because I was like, let's let's see him go. Let's I was like when I went to that game, I was like, This could be a really funny turn of events. This would be wonderful. And then like the game started and I was like, ⁓ well, I was wrong. There's no chance of this happening. So yeah. RAC Chandler: Got the brake speed off him by Georgia. Holy moly. It's over. Because Michigan didn't scout the Michigan didn't ⁓ scout their plays. They didn't scout TCU, so they didn't know their plays. RY4N: And since the list is over. Mm. And since the list is over, I think he yeah, he's a Kurt Signetti pick. I think he's okay. He has a lot of talent around him. They play a few good games, you know. ⁓ so he might do okay. But another one that he reminds me of is Brennan Sorsby. Those are two guys who I don't know why they were so sought after and offered so much money. That I just don't see it personally. I hope they prove me wrong because they were kinda at lower tier schools. You know, sometimes you need the better talent around you at a better school to get that performance. RAC Chandler: Okay, Aaron. Wrap us up. RAC Aaron: I think Brennan Soresby list are going to be like some shadow edits here to some people's top quarterback ranking list that, like, ⁓ well Soresby, maybe, maybe I don't have him high up on my list now. But he gets play. We'll see. Yeah, go for it. RAC Chandler: So Aaron, tie a bow on our list here with your dark horse. That should have been your number one slot. ⁓ Who is who is your dark horse? RAC Aaron: My number one slot. I wouldn't put him at number one, but I'd put ⁓ I'm going Lenora Sellers. I think if we're talking potential, I think Lenora Sellers is one of the highest capable quarterbacks out there. I think Trinidad right now is playing at an insane level. I think Lenora Sellers could play at that freak talent level. RAC Chandler: I don't mind that. RAC Aaron: We just haven't had the keys to unlock that for him. I don't know if we will see it in his college career. If he goes in, plays another season where we kind of just get glimpses of it. He goes in a mid draft pick and he goes to a team with a solid foundation, he could be somebody I see as a Hall of Famer one. Like I just there is an insane level of mental play that he does when like the way he moves is special. RAC Chandler: The game that haunts me is that Texas A ⁓ game. And I know it's not a he doesn't play on the defense. The defense, you know, had a huge part of them coming back. But as a whole, not being able to like nail the coffin down on the offensive side of the ball. I mean, yeah, they scored a bunch of points, but you've got to be able to close that game out. If the defense isn't doing it, offense gotta pick it up and keep scoring if the and vice versa. And that game sticks in my mind, ⁓ from him. RAC Aaron: Yeah. And ⁓ no, and that that I think we even have a different conversation about him. I think we see him on more list if they shut that game out. Defense put them back on the field too much. I mean, you can only ask so much of it. And when that happens, it's you you know, when they're going and scoring out every other play and he's back out taking hits, it it's gonna wear on him. And I like they were still close to doing that. And I think when we're talking that it like RAC Chandler: Of course, of course. Mm-hmm. RAC Aaron: And I don't want to throw shade at Shane Beamer either. I like Shane Beamer as a coach. I think he's young. And I think when we see some of these younger coaches, he I just don't know if he has everything together to work with somebody like Lenora Sellers. Where to me, he's one of those guys that you have to adapt every part of your game to unlock what he has in there. Cause to me, you watch him. I would throw not necessarily a direct similarity, but like a Patrick Mahomes style player in terms of like you also don't necessarily ball the plays. You just kind of let him feel out what needs to be done on the field and he does it. And the problem is you don't have that same level of talent around him when you have an offensive line issue. And with that, he's still extending plays. He's still getting things accomplished. I just I think the world of him as a player and talent, I think he is a special player. I would love to see him explode, both for South Carolina's program, for Shane Beamer, for Sellers himself. I want to see them reach that potential because it always it's just like when we had Spencer Radler there and you had a really good quarterback. I don't think Spencer Radler is the same talent level as Sellers, but where it's just like you just don't see them get to that, to that. RY4N: I mean that first year Spencer Adler is pretty incredible. But but I've actually really enjoyed watching South Carolina games just because Lenore Sellers I think there is kind of the fun aspect that he could just make something happen at any time and he's like really amazing and has that super eye upside. But the issue is like it could totally be the team around him, but I just haven't seen the consistency. It's just like if he decides to bring it though, it's like he is like amazing. RAC Aaron: Pretty crazy, yeah. RY4N: So I like to see him do it week to week. I'd love to see it. You remind me of the Texas AM thing. I'm glad we didn't see a Marcel Reed on this list. I feel like they were trying to push it down our throats last year that he was a good quarterback. Kinda glad he wasn't on a list here. Sorry. Sorry for the strays, guys. RAC Aaron: No, I I'll I'll push back. I agree. I don't think he makes the top eight. I think Marcel Reed is very talented. I think he is ⁓ Texas AM always has this issue with quarterbacks. They get these extremely good players who like play eight of those games at Heisman level and then four of their games, they like forgot to show up. Like they just it's like ⁓ Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for AM quarterbacks. I don't know what that is. I don't know what happens, I don't know if just something cracks, something, some fault goes through. A ⁓ I give him a pass because AM fans know it's not their season. They just hope one day it might be. But it is something that it's like he's he's a good I think you put him in a lot of other programs. He's carrying a program farther than a lot of them have reached before. I think in AM, the expectation was very high. I do think they had a schedule that was Solid for getting them that undefeated run, but not necessarily got them prepped for how intense postseason was going to be. RY4N: Sorry, I wasn't trying to be mean there. It just reminded me of it. I hope he wasn't on your list that I'm like making fun of him now. Or something. ⁓ sorry. RAC Aaron: Yeah. ⁓ no no no. ⁓ no, no, no. ⁓ no, I would say like I outside of Lenore Sellers, I don't have like Kamario Taylor could be one of those guys. You know, as a Mississippi State fan, I think anybody watching him could see there's a special quarterback there. I think it's a lot less possibility than Lenore Sellers just because Mississippi State's got a lot more issues going on. So we'll see. But ⁓ you know, it's the same thing with like not seeing Gunnar Stockton on this list. Like ⁓ there you could ask a little bit more out of that guy. To terms of like correcting just some of those games where he had, you know, some bad throws, something like that. But Georgia quarterbacks are just normally consistent. Like, you know, they just show up, they get you the ball moving, and that's all you're asking out of them because they run a bizarre scheme. It's something where it's like, okay, we're doing these little chip yards, we're wearing out your defense. And then once your defense gets gassed, we turn on our gas. Like we're gonna, we're gonna go hard. So I think it's something where it's like they don't necessarily have to be forty yard bomb throwers. They just have to be something where it's like, Well, does a ten yard land route open up at the third quarter? Well, we'll just start scoring on those every play. RY4N: Yeah, they kinda tried a stupid nothing offense. And then they have their defense just put ⁓ in great field position and then they score that drive. It's so random. It's yeah. RAC Aaron: Yep. Yep. And it's like in terms of that, Gunnar Stockton's great fit for that. Like he he makes that happen. Yeah. RY4N: But he had the highest QBR last year. How is he not how was he not at the top of this list? How is he not in the top five? RAC Aaron: And to me it it is it's that is something where it's just like if you're consistent, if you've got your team this far over and over again, you you should be making this kind of list. If this is a safe list that we're doing, ⁓ there was no swings in these top eights. There was no, you know, let me throw in somebody I think that might be a huge contender that from nowhere, like, you know, they weren't throwing a Mario Taylor on this or anything like that. ⁓ it just was like, ⁓ here's some lock in. Door thing seasons. He's in the void. RY4N: I was literally about to say the same thing. Is this the intro or the outro? Put your background on, I'll send it to you. Ha ha. RAC Aaron: There we go. RY4N: No, that was fun. That was fun. Chimler, do you have any weird people you like to throw on your list? RAC Chandler: Nope. My weird guy's already on there. Truly insane. RY4N: He's not weird. He's not weird. You know, will Dylan Rayola take Dante Moore's spot? That's what I'm inter he won't. RAC Aaron: Ha ha ha. RAC Chandler: Next question. RY4N: I don't know why that one drives me crazy. I don't I actually don't know why. RAC Chandler: It's funny. And a as as a viewer of this show, the more you watch it, the more you'll see little Ryan's little ticks of like things will get on and the more we bring things up, like it just like he'll hone in on like one thing that just really gets under his skin like over and over again and you'll forget that it's ⁓ it's a thing. Like in week eight, if Dante Moore has a great game and we talk about it, he's gonna the whole time be like Dante Moore is should not be having a good game. They played nobody. They played the school of the blind. Like So it it's it's it's ⁓ it's gonna be a fun thing for you guys to like catch on on. But that's why we love him as a as a co host, because his his personality is is very contagious. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Yeah, and pay attention because RY4N: I want everyone to do good. It's just why him? I I don't know why that one bothers me. There's certain people I see play that are actually pretty talented, but they get like too much credit. And I don't know why I feel the need to say they're not that good. I'm the guy that put them down to their level. I'm not that guy. What do like what am I doing? RAC Aaron: Absolutely. RAC Chandler: Except for men sucker. RAC Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: I have I have a good if you've made it this far in the video, comment right now your favorite thing about soccer. And that will get Ryan going in the comments. RAC Aaron: Yeah, it's ⁓ you'll notice too that we like to then prod these little outbursts that we know we can get out of every time. So Yeah. What yeah. Who are you rooting for? What clubs what clubs are you following? RAC Chandler: So comment comment your favorite thing about soccer right now in the in the comments. What what are you most excited about for the World Cup? Exactly. RY4N: You know, you know, I have subtly mentioned this before when I mentioned that I was playing soccer and I saw the kids going out to play football and I realized how great football was. You remember that? I said that in our intro video. RAC Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: That's not but American football isn't the real football. The real football is soccer. RY4N: Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. How dare you? You're on a football podcast. You're gonna talk about the fake football from Europe? We're America. We beat Europe and everything. We separated from our country. We are America. We're come on. Come on. Be a patriot. Be a veteran. Something. RAC Aaron: We use yards, not meters. RAC Chandler: ⁓ man. See? See chat? Look at that. RAC Aaron: Yeah. Lo Little Ryan was walking on the ⁓ Auburn soccer pitch when Charles Barkley came and tapped him on the shoulder and said, You want to be over there at the football field. RY4N: I said, yes I do. Hey, how do I get over I go up to Charles Barkley? How do I get over there, Charles Barkley? I wanna do that. RAC Chandler: Yeah, hey little fella. You wanna be over there? Take those shin guards off, son, and follow me. All right, well, Aaron, you want to close this out? RAC Aaron: Yeah. So we ranked them. We made it. We got to this episode. we've been playing this one for a while. And you know, college football keeps kind of like taking the wind out of our sails for it. They give us better things to talk about than ranking the QBs, ⁓ very early in the preseason. But it is always fun. I do love talking about it. I hope we're right on some of these. This would be fun to come back to and say, like, how close were we? RY4N: Hey. RAC Aaron: But ⁓ I don't think we had anything too wild, outlandish, I think ⁓ I think we were very level headed here. So what are we doing next week? 'Cause I forgot. Who we talking Or what are we talking? RAC Chandler: Do you wanna do receivers? Top ten receivers? ⁓ do you wanna do No we can we can look at our list three convene. RY4N: Mm. Might be too easy. RAC Aaron: Yeah. ⁓ RAC Chandler: Just tell tell everybody we're gonna be talking about college trouble next week. RY4N: Next week we'll be back. We'll talk about college football and the pirate brown video might be posted. We'll see. RAC Aaron: So So we finally wrapped that up. We got our QBs out of the way. But next week we're coming back with something that's always really exciting to talk about. We're bringing in a discussion about college football. We don't know what it is yet. It's gonna be at this point, why plan? The news is gonna come take over the episode anyway. So we'll be talking college football. Hey, but World Cup's on, we might be talking real football. So So RAC Chandler: ⁓ there we go. RAC Aaron: Thank you all who have made it this far into the episode. As always, follow us on our social media platforms. You can find all that in the link or the link tree in the episode description. Helps every bit. These guys have been pumping out our short content. It's been great. I love checking them out, seeing what they've clipped and what insane take of mine that was in the show gets put out there. So ⁓ people can yell at me in the comment section. I do love to see it. So Thank you for all that are participating in that. That is going a huge way to getting viewers out there joining in with us. It's been great. All those interacting, leaving comments, huge help. Thank you. So tune in next week when we give you our takes about college football, the exciting topic that we're always here to cover. So until next time. RY4N: Aaron, I'm really sorry. Can I mention one thing? ⁓ sorry. RAC Chandler: I will say one more thing. RAC Aaron: Yeah, go for it. RAC Chandler: I will say we are we're gonna keep mentioning it to you guys. We have a show lined up ⁓ sometime in July for the E2C Auburn guys to come on the show. So we're gonna be talking Auburn ball there and expectations heading into the season ⁓ for both sides and kind of learning about how they got into the podcasting world. ⁓ and then probably the first week or two of August we're planned to get the locked on Mississippi State guys on the show to talk about Mississippi State expectations. what kind of bowl games they think they're gonna get to this year. ⁓ and how again how they got into the sport ⁓ in the media side and ⁓ RAC Aaron: I get I get to pay the reckoning for all the negative comments I've said about the team I've chosen to support. ⁓ so RAC Chandler: Exactly, exactly. So two two fun episodes we have on the pipeline for you guys that we're working on the on the networking side of the house and ⁓ kind of getting things going on that side to get you guys some more entertaining people besides just us on the show to talk your ear off the whole time. RAC Aaron: Yep. So if you have any questions. ⁓ go ahead. Sorry. RY4N: And I will men ⁓ sorry. ⁓ And I will mention one thing. The only thing positive about soccer recently, I should have actually put this in the news segment. Lionel Messi came and played in Auburn, and we made history by Jordan Hare Stadium is the most sold out soccer event i in the world, maybe? Maybe America. RAC Chandler: I was gonna mention it too, I forgot. I don't think in the world is the that's not true. It's definitely not the world. RAC Aaron: That's not true. I can't. RY4N: It was some maybe the country. Maybe the country. It was 88,000. We made some record. But it was at Jordan Hare Stadium. And I was a little. RAC Aaron: That I would I would say maybe for Auburn. Yeah. Yeah. I'll even give Alabama. RAC Chandler: In the city of Auburn, it the most sold out soccer game. RY4N: And I was a little dis I was but I was disappointed at first. If you like soccer, I'm sorry. I was a little disappointed at first. Cause I was like, how dare they come play that in our beloved stadium that all these great things happened in? But it was actually pretty good. There was a bunch of great stuff that happened, I guess, in the soccer stuff. That everyone was there. But I was so excited that all these foreigners came over. And it was literally they were saying it was like that meme that is the European mind cannot comprehend this. We had a flyover, we played swag surf, we had all the lights on. And they got to experience Jordan Hare at night. They would never come here for a football game. They came here for a soccer game and they realized how great America can be. And we got to show them a glimpse of America. In Auburn, in Jordan Hare Stadium. Two things I love, Auburn and America. They're it's very American. RAC Chandler: They did come for a football game. And the Auburn fans did not get to watch ⁓ a three and out every drive at night. They got the they got the And That's what I was gonna say. RY4N: Stop. And you No, and you people that are saying they scored more than us in the Kentucky game, how dare you stop, no, how dare you say that 'cause Hugh Free sold that game on purpose because he was lowering his buyout. So y'all better not say that anymore. Especially Auburn fans. RAC Aaron: Yeah. It's so funny. RAC Chandler: Yep. So Messi Messi and Company Messi and Company scored just as many points as Auburn could in a game against Kentucky. So it was good. It's like the same kind of caliber of offense. RAC Aaron: So but did did they win the game overall? Did Bessie and ⁓ all right. Well, at least Auburn fans got to see a win in their stadium. They haven't had a lot of those recently, so RAC Chandler: Yeah, they won three three three nil, as they say in on the pitch. Especially at night. RAC Aaron: So check it out next week. When Ryan leaves the show, we turn this into a football club discussion podcast. So until then. RY4N: Bye bye. RAC Chandler: Bye bye. Yeah. ⁓
