- 0:46Speaker 3: which means we check in with the folks from Ute Zone.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Dan Sorensen, kind enough to give us some time today. Dan,
- 0:52Speaker 3: welcome back to the show. How are you?
- 0:54Speaker 1: Doing well. How are you doing? Good.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I'm doing great, man. It was awesome to be out
- 0:58Speaker 3: there on Saturday night to see you hang out at
- 1:02Speaker 3: the game a little bit to meet your better half.
- 1:04Speaker 3: That was lovely. And obviously a big Utah win over Arkansas.
- 1:08Speaker 3: What was the biggest takeaway for you from that game?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Biggest takeaway for me was just how impressive it was
- 1:15Speaker 1: to see this team show up against a team with
- 1:19Speaker 1: size and with strong athletes. Look, Arkansas is not a
- 1:24Speaker 1: good football team, despite the SEC affiliation. That does not
- 1:28Speaker 1: mean that they don't have good players and good athletes. And,
- 1:31Speaker 1: you know, Coach Scali, he talked about it in the
- 1:36Speaker 1: pretty much every media availability he's had since the game,
- 1:39Speaker 1: but talking about the offensive line and the defensive line
- 1:42Speaker 1: in particular and what a strong job that they did.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I think that the grades played out. Jai Moy is
- 1:51Speaker 1: becoming a national star just for no other reason than
- 1:54Speaker 1: the fact that that spin move went viral on X. And, but,
- 2:00Speaker 1: but just seeing this team go out, compete with better athletes,
- 2:04Speaker 1: blow them out of the water. And they were playing harder. Like, look, look,
- 2:09Speaker 1: look at all the past defenses or passes defended and
- 2:12Speaker 1: the cornerbacks, how tight the coverage was, the tackling and
- 2:16Speaker 1: how that's improved from a season ago. Nate Ritchie is
- 2:20Speaker 1: a revelation in the sense of him getting in there
- 2:23Speaker 1: and sticking his nose in it. And, and, and finishing
- 2:25Speaker 1: tackles and the, and he's, he's proven to be the
- 2:28Speaker 1: player that Utah always thought he could be. So just
- 2:31Speaker 1: those types of things were the things that really showed up.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I know Arkansas is not good. Do we really know
- 2:37Speaker 1: who this Utah team is yet? Probably not. It's we're
- 2:41Speaker 1: going to need to see a road game or two
- 2:42Speaker 1: before we get their full identity, but there's an awful
- 2:47Speaker 1: lot to like. And when you've got an sec team
- 2:49Speaker 1: coming to your house and and you beat them 43-10,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and you make some poor old lady swear off her
- 2:56Speaker 1: lifelong love on sports radio in the South, you've done
- 3:00Speaker 1: good things.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I wish we got 877-353-0700 in the next segment if
- 3:09Speaker 3: you want to call in with a Southern accent and
- 3:12Speaker 3: the amount of passion that we got going viral across
- 3:15Speaker 3: the Internet this week. Please, you're more than welcome here
- 3:19Speaker 3: on the Sean O'Connell Show. So 2-0, obviously this team
- 3:23Speaker 3: has shown some really good things, but let's be reasonable,
- 3:27Speaker 3: let's be fair. It hasn't all been perfect. What is
- 3:30Speaker 3: the largest remaining concern for Dan Sorensen?
- 3:35Speaker 1: A couple of things. I would like to see a
- 3:37Speaker 1: little bit more cohesion on the offensive line, especially when
- 3:41Speaker 1: it comes to run blocking. They've been outstanding in pass protection.
- 3:46Speaker 1: They've given up the one sack. They're pretty limited on
- 3:49Speaker 1: the pressures that they're giving up. You know, Devin Dampier
- 3:52Speaker 1: is definitely helping out a lot in that department. But
- 3:57Speaker 1: when you see– look, we're seeing amazing things, especially from
- 4:01Speaker 1: a formation and an interesting– personnel groupings and things like that.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I think the option game is going to be really,
- 4:08Speaker 1: really solid all year long. But when you really need
- 4:11Speaker 1: to line up and get a yard or two, when
- 4:12Speaker 1: you need to just play traditional Smash Mouths football, I
- 4:16Speaker 1: think that we still need to see some more growth
- 4:20Speaker 1: and cohesiveness on that offensive line the other thing that
- 4:23Speaker 1: i think that we need to see is is really
- 4:25Speaker 1: at the defensive tackle spot look moe and kafusi look
- 4:29Speaker 1: like potential stars if not this year certainly next year
- 4:33Speaker 1: uh and uh they they can both be really really
- 4:36Speaker 1: special defensive tackles amongst the best that the youths have
- 4:40Speaker 1: had and that's saying a lot given the fact that
- 4:43Speaker 1: the guys that we've rolled through that program my biggest
- 4:45Speaker 1: concern with that group is Who are the number three
- 4:48Speaker 1: and the number four guys? Mike Tatioli has been a
- 4:51Speaker 1: big part of that rotation, and it's great to see
- 4:55Speaker 1: him getting on the field. He's had some really solid moments,
- 4:58Speaker 1: but I think we need to see more consistency from him,
- 5:01Speaker 1: from a guy like Lucas Samsula. But getting that rotation
- 5:05Speaker 1: a little bit tighter, especially when it comes to the
- 5:08Speaker 1: run defense, that's what's going to be the difference maker
- 5:12Speaker 1: for this team. you know, the question still on the line,
- 5:15Speaker 1: but that's where you win football games. If you can
- 5:18Speaker 1: be the physical team that can dominate and, and show
- 5:21Speaker 1: your assertiveness and then impose your will on the other team,
- 5:25Speaker 1: like you're going to win and you're going to win
- 5:27Speaker 1: pretty much every time. And we've seen what we need
- 5:30Speaker 1: to see. I think out of the skill positions, we've
- 5:33Speaker 1: seen what we need to see out of the cornerbacks.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I love the back seven of this defense. And so if,
- 5:38Speaker 1: if defensive tackle, if they can shore that up and, and,
- 5:42Speaker 1: To a lesser extent, the defensive ends, look, they're getting
- 5:45Speaker 1: tons of pressure. Lance Holtzclaw is top 10 in the
- 5:47Speaker 1: nation in pressures, but there's not a sack yet for
- 5:50Speaker 1: the end. And I know that that room knows it.
- 5:53Speaker 1: And so seeing those guys get home and get a
- 5:56Speaker 1: quarterback down, we need to see more of that as well.
- 5:59Speaker 1: But look, they're well on their way. I don't think
- 6:02Speaker 1: that this team is even close to playing its best
- 6:04Speaker 1: football of the season. And it's going to be fun
- 6:06Speaker 1: to watch them develop week to week.
- 6:10Speaker 3: I'm trying to figure out that thing that you just
- 6:12Speaker 3: alluded to, the difference between being there to make the
- 6:17Speaker 3: play and actually finishing the play. Utah could have come
- 6:19Speaker 3: away from the Arkansas game with at least four picks
- 6:23Speaker 3: if you just caught some balls on the defensive side. Like,
- 6:26Speaker 3: it was wild. Jackson Benny could have easily had two
- 6:29Speaker 3: picks in the game instead of just the one. Chenault
- 6:31Speaker 3: had one go right off his chest, right? I mean,
- 6:33Speaker 3: there's examples of this. And you just brought up Lance Holtzclaw,
- 6:37Speaker 3: who has got a great pressure rate right now but
- 6:39Speaker 3: no sacks. I was walking behind him exiting the stadium
- 6:44Speaker 3: the other night after the press conferences, and I think
- 6:47Speaker 3: he was with his parents. Forgive me, Lance Holtzclaw and
- 6:49Speaker 3: the Holtzclaw family. I don't know who's who. But he
- 6:52Speaker 3: was describing the play in which he was literally right there,
- 6:57Speaker 3: off a spin move to make a sack, and just
- 7:01Speaker 3: credit to the Arkansas quarterback. He scooted out and avoided
- 7:05Speaker 3: the pressure and things like that. There are guys that
- 7:08Speaker 3: we have seen come through this Utah football program that
- 7:11Speaker 3: never miss a tackle, but they don't make the big
- 7:14Speaker 3: sacks either. They don't intercept the ball. They don't force
- 7:17Speaker 3: the fumbles. They're not that guy, right? They're the reliable,
- 7:20Speaker 3: mistake-free type football players. And then there's the guys that
- 7:24Speaker 3: are the habit players, that are the guys that do
- 7:26Speaker 3: finish that sack, that do force that fumble, that come
- 7:29Speaker 3: down with the interception or tip the ball that ends
- 7:32Speaker 3: up being an interception. And those guys end up being
- 7:34Speaker 3: the legends, the all-conference individuals, etc., Where is the line, Dan?
- 7:41Speaker 3: How do those guys cross that line? Where you're there,
- 7:45Speaker 3: you make the play, or you're there and you almost
- 7:48Speaker 3: get it. Maybe it ends up being a tackle for
- 7:51Speaker 3: no gain, but you didn't quite get the tackle for
- 7:53Speaker 3: a loss kind of a thing. You understand what I'm saying?
- 7:57Speaker 1: I understand exactly what you're saying. And I think that,
- 8:00Speaker 1: you know, when we're talking about questions for this Utah
- 8:02Speaker 1: football team, that is a really valid one, especially on
- 8:05Speaker 1: the defense, because what we've seen through two weeks is
- 8:08Speaker 1: we've seen a lot of really solid guys. doing their
- 8:13Speaker 1: job you know scally talks a lot a lot about
- 8:16Speaker 1: owning your 10 square yards of responsibility and we're seeing
- 8:20Speaker 1: a lot of that and even you know scally when
- 8:22Speaker 1: you talk about sacks he he doesn't necessarily care about
- 8:26Speaker 1: the sack he wants the play disrupted but at the
- 8:29Speaker 1: end of the day the sack is the best thing
- 8:31Speaker 1: possible because not only do they lose the down but
- 8:34Speaker 1: they lose the yardage as well it just it puts
- 8:37Speaker 1: more pressure on the offense when you talk about who
- 8:39Speaker 1: those guys are i look Who are the Havoc guys?
- 8:44Speaker 1: Moe is a guy that I think has absolutely proven
- 8:48Speaker 1: that he's a Havoc guy. He reminds me of the
- 8:50Speaker 1: football equivalent of those old insurance commercials with the mayhem
- 8:54Speaker 1: guy that caused all the chaos. He does it in
- 8:57Speaker 1: his tiny frame, tiny five-foot frame. 10, 6-foot, whatever he is,
- 9:03Speaker 1: and 280, 290, he's causing as much chaos as I've
- 9:07Speaker 1: seen a defensive tackle cause in a long time. And
- 9:09Speaker 1: so he's absolutely a have-it guy. But you do need
- 9:14Speaker 1: more guys to step up. I think John O'Hall, he's
- 9:17Speaker 1: been playing really, really good football the first two weeks.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I'm waiting for him to step up and be that
- 9:24Speaker 1: guy that'll pick off the ball and house it, that'll
- 9:27Speaker 1: do that. I think Scooby Davis has a chance to
- 9:30Speaker 1: be that guy. He was so good against Arkansas in
- 9:33Speaker 1: the coverage. And, you know, he didn't have the pick
- 9:36Speaker 1: go through his hands. He had a couple of pass breakups,
- 9:39Speaker 1: and he's playing aggressively. He's got it in him. I
- 9:43Speaker 1: know he's got that dog in him. But to your point, like,
- 9:48Speaker 1: it's got to– They got to find a way to
- 9:50Speaker 1: get it to come out when the lights are on
- 9:52Speaker 1: and and make the big big transitional play I I
- 9:56Speaker 1: don't know who that guy is just yet I think
- 9:59Speaker 1: that they'll emerge in the next two to three games
- 10:03Speaker 1: you know Utah State look maybe they take it out
- 10:06Speaker 1: on Utah State and this this offense of Utah State
- 10:09Speaker 1: is not exactly a juggernaut so getting some confidence and
- 10:12Speaker 1: some big plays like that would be a good thing
- 10:15Speaker 1: that they can take to Iowa State and beyond. But, yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 1: it is definitely a need. This is a good defense.
- 10:23Speaker 1: If they want to be great, they need the Jonos
- 10:27Speaker 1: of the world to step up, the Lances and the
- 10:29Speaker 1: Ethan Days of the world to start getting home and
- 10:33Speaker 1: really making life exceptionally hard on those offenses.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Dan Sorensen from Mute Zone is our guest here on
- 10:39Speaker 3: the Sean O'Connell Show talking all things Utah. This Utah
- 10:43Speaker 3: State matchup is really interesting because I think the Aggies
- 10:47Speaker 3: are solid defensively. I think they've got a lot of
- 10:49Speaker 3: problems on their offense. It's not a lack of skill.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I think, for the most part, it's shaky quarterback play.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Can't really figure out what to make of their line
- 10:59Speaker 3: yet because you played horribly against Iowa State. Played pretty
- 11:04Speaker 3: well against Washington, but still ended up dropping that one.
- 11:08Speaker 3: As you've taken a dive into the Aggies... where there's
- 11:11Speaker 3: a lot of familiarity, obviously. What do you make of
- 11:15Speaker 3: Utah State?
- 11:17Speaker 1: Yeah, the schizophrenic team, absolutely. The opener against Idaho State
- 11:23Speaker 1: is just something that never should happen in Logan. Look,
- 11:26Speaker 1: I have a lot of respect for Bronco Mendenhall as
- 11:29Speaker 1: a coach. I think he gets... as much out of
- 11:33Speaker 1: the talent level that he has as anybody in the country.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I think he's a smart defensive coach. It's no surprise
- 11:40Speaker 1: that the Aggie defense played Washington tough. And I do
- 11:44Speaker 1: think Washington showed up and just thought that by virtue
- 11:48Speaker 1: of showing up in the building, they were going to
- 11:50Speaker 1: walk away with the win. And it bit them in
- 11:52Speaker 1: the butt. And Utah cannot afford to do that. Look,
- 11:56Speaker 1: this is a rivalry game. These Utah State guys do
- 11:59Speaker 1: not Like the fact that they're, they're taking a backseat
- 12:03Speaker 1: to the other programs in the state and, and they're
- 12:05Speaker 1: going to try to take it out on the youth
- 12:07Speaker 1: and they should. And so Utah needs to be prepared
- 12:10Speaker 1: and they need, look, they're vastly more talented than the Aggies,
- 12:14Speaker 1: but Utah needs to be prepared and they need to
- 12:16Speaker 1: be prepared to, to take a punch to the mouth and, and,
- 12:19Speaker 1: and to deliver in kind. But yeah, I think that
- 12:24Speaker 1: I don't love the Utah state offense. So I know
- 12:26Speaker 1: we don't know who's going to start at quarterback. You know,
- 12:28Speaker 1: there's the, the potential injury issue, but they've, they've turned
- 12:32Speaker 1: the ball over a lot. They're not super effective in
- 12:35Speaker 1: the run game just yet. They do have a couple
- 12:37Speaker 1: of guys at wide receiver that can make plays. So
- 12:40Speaker 1: you can't sleep on them. But it's that defense that's
- 12:44Speaker 1: going to keep them in the game and, and they're,
- 12:47Speaker 1: they're disciplined and they're not overly talented, but they run
- 12:50Speaker 1: that scheme really well. And it's, It's kind of a weird,
- 12:53Speaker 1: kooky scheme that Bronco, he's ran for years, but he
- 12:58Speaker 1: does make those tweaks to it. So this is going
- 13:01Speaker 1: to be another test for the Utah offensive line, especially
- 13:04Speaker 1: as they're communicating. But if the Utes don't turn the
- 13:07Speaker 1: ball over, if they stay disciplined on penalties, they should
- 13:10Speaker 1: walk away with this game. Any other results, it would
- 13:14Speaker 1: be highly concerning.
- 13:19Speaker 3: When you take a look at the kind of overarching
- 13:24Speaker 3: Big 12 conference, the power structure of the Big 12 conference,
- 13:28Speaker 3: we're very, very early in the process, obviously, of figuring
- 13:31Speaker 3: out who's who. I'm ready to say that for now,
- 13:35Speaker 3: BYU and Utah have been the most impressive. They're the
- 13:38Speaker 3: two best. Kansas State deserves to be in a conversation
- 13:41Speaker 3: that we weren't putting them in before the season started
- 13:43Speaker 3: based on what we know so far. Colorado's a lot
- 13:45Speaker 3: better than I thought. They've looked a lot better than
- 13:48Speaker 3: I thought they would look. Oklahoma State, you just talked
- 13:51Speaker 3: about the schizophrenia, the bipolar nature of what we've seen
- 13:54Speaker 3: from Utah State. Lose to Tulsa, beat Oregon. Who had
- 13:59Speaker 3: that on the bingo card? When you're handicapping the Big
- 14:03Speaker 3: 12 through two weeks, heading into week three, how do
- 14:07Speaker 3: you see it?
- 14:09Speaker 1: I mean, it's the state of Utah. Look, BYU and
- 14:13Speaker 1: Utah fans aren't going to like hearing it. This BYU
- 14:15Speaker 1: team is really, really good, and they're going to be
- 14:17Speaker 1: a tough out for everybody. And they're well-coached, and they're
- 14:21Speaker 1: bought into what Kalani's selling. And so that Holy War
- 14:27Speaker 1: game in November is going to loom really large and
- 14:30Speaker 1: might be for the conference title if– if things continue
- 14:35Speaker 1: on the way that we've seen them. But yeah, the
- 14:37Speaker 1: Utes and BYU, I think, have been the two most
- 14:41Speaker 1: impressive teams. Like you, I'm shocked that Colorado is where
- 14:46Speaker 1: they're at. Their defense especially has been good. I don't
- 14:48Speaker 1: think that their offense is... is particularly special or impressive
- 14:54Speaker 1: by any means. And they might get better as the
- 14:56Speaker 1: season goes on, but they'll get exposed at some point.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I'm curious about Houston. I do think that, look, there's
- 15:02Speaker 1: a lot of talent. They're better than they were last year,
- 15:05Speaker 1: in my opinion. And we'll, you know, we'll know a
- 15:07Speaker 1: lot about that either with Houston and Texas tech is
- 15:10Speaker 1: coming up this weekend, but you know, Texas tech hasn't
- 15:13Speaker 1: been as dominant as their payroll would suggest. It should be,
- 15:18Speaker 1: and that game is going to loom large in terms
- 15:22Speaker 1: of what the conference will look like and should look like.
- 15:25Speaker 1: But it's going to be, at the end of the day,
- 15:27Speaker 1: I think it's Utah, BYU, Texas Tech, potentially Houston, especially
- 15:32Speaker 1: depending on how they perform in Salt Lake City in
- 15:34Speaker 1: a few weeks. Um, and yeah, K state's probably that,
- 15:38Speaker 1: that out, outlier, the, the, the team that like Arizona
- 15:42Speaker 1: state a couple of years ago came out of nowhere and, and,
- 15:45Speaker 1: and did something. And, and those are, those are the
- 15:47Speaker 1: teams that are at the top of my radar. That's
- 15:49Speaker 1: of course going to change as, as the games get
- 15:51Speaker 1: played and teams drop games, especially games that maybe they shouldn't, but, uh,
- 15:57Speaker 1: We haven't seen Utah get tested yet. I'm excited to
- 16:02Speaker 1: see when that happens, how they respond, how they respond
- 16:05Speaker 1: to adversity. And, you know, that's where culture kicks in.
- 16:09Speaker 1: And hopefully with the culture that Scali is implementing, the
- 16:14Speaker 1: youths respond, and they're going to be in it until
- 16:17Speaker 1: the very end.
- 16:20Speaker 3: We need to come up with, like, I don't know,
- 16:22Speaker 3: a catchy name. for this two quarterback system that the
- 16:26Speaker 3: Utes are running. Uh, I mean, it is truly unique
- 16:30Speaker 3: and not just because of the X's and O's, but
- 16:34Speaker 3: the relationship that Bird and Devin have with one another in,
- 16:37Speaker 3: in the modern era of college football, the unselfish nature
- 16:42Speaker 3: of that whole thing is, is really, I mean, it's refreshing, honestly, uh,
- 16:46Speaker 3: because we, we get jaded to like, oh, this guy
- 16:48Speaker 3: is just looking out for number one and it's all
- 16:50Speaker 3: about money for him and this and that. And, these
- 16:53Speaker 3: guys just want to win football games and they're willing to,
- 16:56Speaker 3: you know, give up touches to the other guy, or
- 16:58Speaker 3: they're willing to let some of the glory be shared.
- 17:01Speaker 3: And I don't know if there's, there's not even a
- 17:03Speaker 3: personnel package, like a proper name for, for the two
- 17:06Speaker 3: quarterback thing. We got to come up with something, Dan.
- 17:09Speaker 1: We do. I I'm, I'm brainstorming now. We'll, we'll have to,
- 17:12Speaker 1: we'll have to outsource it. We'll, we'll, we'll bring it
- 17:15Speaker 1: up on, on Twitter or something, but yeah, I, it's,
- 17:18Speaker 1: astounding to me I've never seen it look I've covered
- 17:21Speaker 1: college football for more than 20 years at this point
- 17:23Speaker 1: I've never seen anything close to what this looks like
- 17:27Speaker 1: now people talk about like Tebow and and and Chris
- 17:30Speaker 1: Leak back in the day playing the two quarterback thing
- 17:33Speaker 1: at Florida but it wasn't like this and to your
- 17:35Speaker 1: point about the relationship the the the lack of selfishness
- 17:41Speaker 1: the the excitement for other guys and and and really
- 17:46Speaker 1: going to bat for for your teammates I I Coach
- 17:49Speaker 1: Scali talked about it the other day, talking about the
- 17:53Speaker 1: fact that there's a lot of... And not just the quarterbacks,
- 17:57Speaker 1: but the wide receiver room, I think, is what he
- 17:59Speaker 1: was talking about, where not a lot of me guys.
- 18:01Speaker 1: You can either go somewhere else and be the guy,
- 18:04Speaker 1: or you can come here and do something and be
- 18:07Speaker 1: something as a collective. And they've really got the guys...
- 18:12Speaker 1: to buy into that. Yeah. What, what it's, what it
- 18:15Speaker 1: can be called. Like I, I, you're right. We need
- 18:19Speaker 1: a purple people eater, fearsome, foursome type nickname for it
- 18:22Speaker 1: because it merits it. And, and frankly, I don't think
- 18:25Speaker 1: we've seen anything yet. We, we've just seen little tiny
- 18:29Speaker 1: bits and pieces of what they can do, but, but
- 18:32Speaker 1: there's going to be a lot of special football and
- 18:34Speaker 1: some exciting things, especially with those two guys on the field.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I just want to, Bring up Wayshon for the sake
- 18:42Speaker 3: of bringing up Wayshon because through two games, I mean,
- 18:45Speaker 3: the headliner is, wow, two quarterbacks, Devin and Bird, crazy offense.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Wayshon Parker is playing an unbelievable brand of football right now.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Oh, without question. Leading the NCAA in touchdowns with six.
- 19:01Speaker 1: He should have seven. Well, maybe not, but he was
- 19:06Speaker 1: pretty close to seven against Arkansas. And really, yeah, the
- 19:10Speaker 1: things that he's doing, both in the running game and
- 19:14Speaker 1: as a receiver, I... I don't know that I've ever
- 19:18Speaker 1: seen a back be that way. Like, look, it's not
- 19:20Speaker 1: weird to have a twitchy back. That's good coming out
- 19:23Speaker 1: of the backfield and, and, and catching balls. But way
- 19:27Speaker 1: Sean's got the body control in the hands of a
- 19:29Speaker 1: wide receiver. And he, and he's got the bulk of a,
- 19:33Speaker 1: of a, the bell cow running back. And, and, He
- 19:37Speaker 1: hasn't broken one yet, and that's the crazy thing to
- 19:39Speaker 1: me because he's capable of being a home run threat
- 19:43Speaker 1: every time he touches the ball. He hasn't broken a
- 19:45Speaker 1: long run yet, and I'm waiting for that to happen
- 19:48Speaker 1: because he's more than capable of it. it. But he's
- 19:51Speaker 1: playing great football. And, look, you talk to people in
- 19:53Speaker 1: the program, and there are a lot of NFL scouts
- 19:56Speaker 1: that are around this team taking a look at what
- 19:58Speaker 1: these guys– potential are to offer and and way Sean
- 20:02Speaker 1: is the number one guy that everybody's coming to look
- 20:04Speaker 1: like look at right now and the fact that he's
- 20:07Speaker 1: young the fact that frankly he doesn't have a lot
- 20:10Speaker 1: of workload on his body he only averaged 12 touches
- 20:12Speaker 1: a game last year and he's averaging like 14 or
- 20:15Speaker 1: 15 this year So it's not even like he's carrying
- 20:18Speaker 1: this massive load where he's touching the ball 20 to
- 20:23Speaker 1: 30 times a game to pile up the yardage. He's
- 20:25Speaker 1: doing this in limited touches. He's doing it in style.
- 20:29Speaker 1: And then he walks off the field with that giant
- 20:32Speaker 1: Wayshon Parker blinged-out necklace and makes him one of my
- 20:36Speaker 1: favorite guys on the team. He's got a personality. He's
- 20:39Speaker 1: a cool personality. It's not just... he's not arrogant he's
- 20:42Speaker 1: just fun so like we're the hashtag team fun place
- 20:46Speaker 1: and he fits in with that 100 i cannot wait
- 20:49Speaker 1: to see everything that he accomplishes this year uh.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Some early entries in the cool slash clever nickname for
- 20:58Speaker 3: the two quarterback system coming in on the text line
- 21:02Speaker 3: this is from charles says my first thought was double
- 21:05Speaker 3: barrel shotgun but since they're not always in the shotgun
- 21:08Speaker 3: how about double dragon Double Dragon for all of us
- 21:12Speaker 3: old enough to have played the amazing Double Dragon video games.
- 21:16Speaker 3: That's the current leader in the clubhouse for me, Dan.
- 21:21Speaker 1: That takes me back to Peter Piper pizza back in
- 21:23Speaker 1: the day and dropping quarters. Look, I'm an old guy.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I can say that. I approve.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Love it. Keep the ideas coming in 877-353-0700. Dan, always
