- 0:01The right to offend is not some pesky little part of freedom of
- 0:05speech that we have to put up with.
- 0:07It is the heart and soul and lungs of freedom of speech.
- 0:11It is the coursing lifeblood of human progress.
- 0:14It is the instigator of liberty and modernity and science and
- 0:18understanding. What a laughing stock today's
- 0:22student leaders are that they can so casually dismiss the
- 0:26right to be offensive without realising that their lovely,
- 0:30enlightened lives are the gifts of individuals who gave offence.
- 0:36Offensiveness is not just something we have to
- 0:38begrudgingly accept. Offensiveness is the motor of
- 0:42human progress. Now broadcasting from the Right
- 0:46to Offend media studios in sunny South Florida, bringing you the
- 0:51latest in politics, current events, art and pop culture.
- 0:55This is the Whitfield Report live with Sam Whitfield.
- 1:00But giving offense is good. In fact, it's essential.
- 1:11And hello there, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:13Welcome to today's Monday edition of the Whitfield Report.
- 1:18We have a big guest joining us today, in fact, possibly one of
- 1:26the biggest guests ever to be on the program.
- 1:31I am quite large, aren't I? Renowned author Maxi Sand, who I
- 1:40I you know, I was contacted by this man's agent.
- 1:45I usually don't like you try to interact with authors
- 1:49themselves, but no, this, this agent reached out to me and told
- 1:56me that they had a guest named Maxi Sand.
- 2:00And I was like, well, can I, can I talk to him before the show?
- 2:06But then they were like, no, you can't.
- 2:10My time is very valuable, Sir, but yeah, you got that $10,000
- 2:15ready, right? What, what, what $10,000 but
- 2:22anyway, so Maxi as as I understand you have a renowned,
- 2:29you have a book you have to promote from what I was told so.
- 2:34Well, geez, you know, like first, shouldn't we like in that
- 2:40bit for shouldn't we get to know?
- 2:41Like what do you? Wouldn't they like to know a bit
- 2:43about me first? Yeah, yeah, yes, yes, of course.
- 2:46Well, what? Yeah.
- 2:47So how did you get started in writing and just what is your
- 2:50general background, Sir? I've always just been the best
- 2:54writer in the world, like ever since I could remember, you
- 2:58know, I was like, man, I just, anything I write is literally
- 3:04better than anything I ever read.
- 3:05See. What?
- 3:07When did? When did you start writing?
- 3:08Was it like in elementary school?
- 3:11Middle high school? I'm not sure how early on, but
- 3:16but there was a point at which I could hear the outside world,
- 3:21you know, Like I knew my mom was there somewhere and everything
- 3:25was really red and I just started writing.
- 3:31So you so you had anger and you wrote to like relieve the anger
- 3:36is what is what you're saying. No, no, I was like in the womb,
- 3:39writing great novels. Amazing.
- 3:43So the best you've ever read? Are you familiar with ripped
- 3:46armrests? No, but, but it sounds like a,
- 3:53it sounds like a philosophical. Yeah, it sounds like a
- 3:57philosophy book. Yeah, So.
- 4:00Yeah, philosophy, horror, detective novels, spy thrillers
- 4:08and porn. Really.
- 4:11Porn. Porn.
- 4:12So like erotica then? Yeah, I have my new one coming
- 4:20out that I'm working on. It's it's really popular.
- 4:23It's called The Most Beautiful Girl in the Discord coming soon.
- 4:28Really. So tell lady, tell me the post
- 4:31of that one. Well, it's, you know, it's going
- 4:35to be, it's based around the concept of like online romances
- 4:39and how they're equally real to regular real romances.
- 4:43And if you have a lot of online romances, that definitely makes
- 4:47you not a virgin. So like a like a cute, like, you
- 4:57know, boy meets girl on the Discord type of thing.
- 5:00Is that what you're going for? Yeah, yeah, I I like talking a
- 5:05lot about, like, how all women are a scam.
- 5:09And so my book is going to illustrate the point by showing
- 5:14a woman behaving perfectly normally and the main character
- 5:19acts like a complete psychopath, stalks them, and then you're
- 5:23supposed to sympathize with him. Really.
- 5:29So there, that's my. Actually my favorite genre to
- 5:31write in, Mr. Whitfield. So the this so the serial killer
- 5:37like stalking with the genre? Yeah.
- 5:39Torturing women, killing women, raping women.
- 5:43These are the things that I like to write a lot about.
- 5:49So. As you can see by my extensive
- 5:52catalog. Yeah, which, you know, it's
- 5:57funny because I, I tried to, I tried to scare say.
- 6:02Some of those words, I'm so sorry.
- 6:05I tried to search you on Amazon and I I couldn't find any of
- 6:11them. Well, that's it.
- 6:12Look, that's just because of my stalkers, you know?
- 6:16What? What stalkers, Sir?
- 6:19Well, there's just these weird people that like, you know, I
- 6:25talked to a lot on the Internet for a long period of time.
- 6:29And then what they do is the whole time they're not really my
- 6:33friends and no one's my friend. Obviously everybody knows this,
- 6:38you know this. But like they pretended to be.
- 6:43And now, because I told them that they aren't good enough to
- 6:49work with me, now all they do is spend all day looking at all of
- 6:54my stuff and laughing at me and like, isn't that sad?
- 7:01I mean. Like, what do I do?
- 7:04I just tell people the truth. I have some other stuff about
- 7:07myself that I could I could tell.
- 7:09Like, I want to set the record straight.
- 7:10First of all, people need to know that I invented PlayStation
- 7:14Network. Yeah, I'm a big deal, you know.
- 7:20Well, and. Then and then also, I've written
- 7:24thousands of books that have sold billions of copies.
- 7:27I know you can't find that information on Amazon, but you
- 7:31got to open your mind to the fact that the stalkers make it
- 7:34impossible for me to keep. So what happens is I release my
- 7:37books, people buy like 1,000,000 copies and then I take them down
- 7:42and unfortunately it's because of these stalkers.
- 7:44But what happens is is then there's no record of that ever.
- 7:47Happening but trust me bro. I mean, I mean, Mr. Max is
- 7:52saying I, I'm an author myself. I, I don't think that's I, I
- 7:58don't think that's how it works. I've had to take down books too,
- 8:02to like do edits before I really release them.
- 8:04But like there are still versatile records of the
- 8:08purchase of like the books that have been taken down.
- 8:11Well, but that's because you don't delete your author
- 8:13profile. See, I do that because you
- 8:18cannot be safe enough with stalkers.
- 8:21What? OK, so why here is a question
- 8:26like, why would you, why would you invest all this time like
- 8:30writing books? Because, you know, you're an
- 8:32author. It takes.
- 8:34It takes. The best writer in the world.
- 8:36Right, right. And being the best author in the
- 8:38world, like you would obviously know that like writing takes a
- 8:41lot of time and effort, right? So.
- 8:44Oh, the most. So why then would you?
- 8:48So why would you go to all the trouble of like, writing all
- 8:52these books just to like, delete your entire author page?
- 8:56The stalkers. How productive.
- 8:59They, they say things that are really hurtful, like that my
- 9:04stuff isn't particularly good. And I mean, that's a personal
- 9:09attack. See, I try to keep out of that
- 9:11kind of thing. I don't like drama, right?
- 9:14But then they come and they say things they, they do, they
- 9:17cross, they break all the rules. And then they say things like
- 9:21your book isn't very good and you can tell, right?
- 9:25Like that's the kind of thing that you can't have people
- 9:28saying that about you. It's bad for your brand image.
- 9:33I mean, I've had, I've had people say that about me like I,
- 9:36I had this one guy. So you hired private
- 9:39investigators, haunted them down, doxed them, and swatted
- 9:42their families, right? What No, I I've, I just, I just
- 9:49wrote. I just wrote like another book
- 9:51and like kept on trucking. Well, I wrote a lot of books,
- 9:55but they keep saying it. You have to stop them like they
- 10:00crossed the line. And So what you have to do is
- 10:02you have to slander them, you have to threaten them, you have
- 10:05to bully them, and you have to literally break laws because
- 10:09you're such a butt mad little baby.
- 10:12This is how you deal with stalkers, Mr. Whitfield.
- 10:16Have you, have you ever considered like, you know, like
- 10:22which other authors in the author community do you, do you
- 10:25know, have you reached out to any of them?
- 10:27Like maybe they could. Wolf, I mostly just keep to
- 10:30myself because everybody is a Judas and a betrayer and they're
- 10:36they're in fact you. You want to get a little rusty
- 10:40with me and I'm talking about crossing lines and here you go.
- 10:44You even platform one of these people, the so-called Doctor
- 10:50Craig, who is clearly Jewish. I don't know what he's trying to
- 10:55hide. He's on your show every week,
- 10:59Mr. Whitfield. I mean, I I don't watch.
- 11:02I don't have time to watch, but I know that that's true.
- 11:06So people in glass wheelchairs might want to consider.
- 11:12What? Well, hey, Doctor.
- 11:16Doctor Craig Mansfield, Phil, PhD, is a is a good friend of
- 11:20the show. You know, like he.
- 11:25He's an author, too. But are you a real doctor?
- 11:31I mean, I mean, I mean he does have a PHDI.
- 11:35I'm pretty sure that's I'm OK. But is he really Jewish?
- 11:40See, these are the questions you got to ask.
- 11:43He needs to come clean now and tell everybody that he's not a
- 11:47Jewish doctor because he's not a doctor and he's not Jewish.
- 11:51This is fraud. I'm calling him out.
- 11:53I'm just telling the truth, Sam. I'm just speaking from the hip
- 11:56now. Well, you know, I mean, I guess
- 12:03Craig will have to come on the show at some point and like,
- 12:06answering for these, you know, accusations, I'm sure.
- 12:10And yeah, and until then, everybody needs to keep asking
- 12:14is he a doctor and is he Jewish? The world needs to know.
- 12:18I'm just pointing it out. You see, I got, I, I stream on
- 12:23the Internet sometimes to like 3 people.
- 12:26I'm I'm kind of a big deal. But to three people like.
- 12:33Yeah, yeah. At the same time.
- 12:35Can you believe that? I mean.
- 12:39And they make comments occasionally.
- 12:42I mean. One time it was a girl.
- 12:46Oh, OK. We, we haven't even really
- 12:51gotten through my accomplishments yet.
- 12:53You're just trying to, you know, speed through the show.
- 12:56You don't even want to talk to the guests.
- 12:58Maybe they want to hear what the guest has to say.
- 13:00Maybe I bring the value to the show.
- 13:02But no, no, he's such an important host.
- 13:05You can't even help me out here. I'm going to tell the people
- 13:08about myself here. Of course, go ahead.
- 13:13Invented PlayStation Network. I already said that.
- 13:15You already knew that. Everybody knows that.
- 13:17So wait, wait, wait. Thousands of books sold billions
- 13:22of copies. We got through that.
- 13:23Binders of women. What binders of women?
- 13:29Binders of women. I don't need to elaborate.
- 13:31Everybody knows. Everybody knows what I mean.
- 13:35I am nice to a lot of women. OK.
- 13:43Can you like? Also a woman expert.
- 13:51I'm also an expert woman. Wait, so you're saying you're
- 13:59trans? I am a six time heavyweight
- 14:02champion. I have a heavyweight champion of
- 14:07what? A heavyweight champion.
- 14:11My mom killed herself while cleaning the bathroom.
- 14:16She is what happened is she mixed bleach and ammonia and
- 14:22like, I don't know, they found her.
- 14:24Like, I found her and I was like, mom, why are you blue?
- 14:27And she's like, girl. And she pointed.
- 14:33Mr. Whitfield, she pointed to this piece of paper and let me
- 14:35see if I got it. I always keep it around.
- 14:38It's my mom's final note for me, you know?
- 14:41But I could never read it. Sir, you know this this.
- 14:51Here we go. Here we go.
- 14:52I found it. So this is she had, she's
- 14:55choking and she died. And she pointed to this piece of
- 14:58paper and I've kept it. You can tell I've had it a long
- 15:00time, right? But like, I can't fucking read
- 15:03it. It's barely legible.
- 15:07Yeah, I can't, I can't see what it says.
- 15:11I don't know. My ma had some problems.
- 15:15She wrote in like weird hieroglyphs.
- 15:17So I can't really read it, but it's nice that I have it and I
- 15:20kept it all this time. And the other thing you got to
- 15:24know about me is this is really important and it's part of why
- 15:28I'm I'm here. And what I'm here to do is, much
- 15:33like my fellow like victim Will Stansel, I too have been raped
- 15:40by the Internet. This is a terrible problem
- 15:45that's happening and I'm here to put a stop to people getting
- 15:48raped by the Internet. How do you OK?
- 15:52Like how do you intend to to do that?
- 15:56We got rid of the stalkers because obviously they're the
- 15:59ones doing all the raping on the Internet.
- 16:01Like Can you imagine a man would make fun of you on the Internet?
- 16:07I mean. That's rape.
- 16:11I mean no, I mean. Consent to that.
- 16:16I mean, I mean. You wouldn't consent to that if
- 16:19somebody did it to you, because nobody makes fun of me.
- 16:22I'm the best writer in the world.
- 16:27I mean that. I mean, that's still not the
- 16:29same thing as rape though, Sir. What do you mean I didn't
- 16:34consent? They said mean things.
- 16:36It hurt my feelings. My feelings were hurt.
- 16:37That's all that matters. Well I mean there is an old
- 16:42saying that like you could you could grow thicker skin.
- 16:48Thick skin, huh? Oh, we're going to just.
- 16:50We're just, you're calling me fat now?
- 16:52Just because I have to lose 100 lbs by August doesn't make me
- 16:56fat. You know what?
- 16:58I don't even think you're crippled.
- 16:59But hold on, I'm going to tell you it's important for all the
- 17:03people to know all the things that I'm an expert in so that I
- 17:06get the respect that I deserve. And I made a little list of it.
- 17:09OK, we're going to go through. I am an expert on Black people.
- 17:14I'm an expert on Latino culture. I'm an expert on women.
- 17:17I'm an expert on men. I'm an expert on writing.
- 17:20I'm an expert on video games. I'm an expert on music.
- 17:23I'm an expert on relationship advice.
- 17:26I'm an expert on social media brand management.
- 17:29I'm an expert on network infrastructure and AI, obviously
- 17:33because I invented PlayStation Network.
- 17:35I'm expert on what's so terrible.
- 17:38I'm an expert in giving legal and financial advice.
- 17:41I'm an expert in scams. I'm an expert in politics.
- 17:45I'm an expert in looks maxing. I'm an expert in having black
- 17:49friends. I'm an expert in love making.
- 17:52I'm an expert in home caregiving, especially of a
- 17:55parent. I'm an expert in veterinary.
- 17:57I'm an expert in domestic abuse and surviving it.
- 18:00I'm an expert in dark, suicidal black metal.
- 18:03I'm an expert in Israel. I'm an expert in Palestine.
- 18:07I'm an expert in professional wrestling, fighting, I'm an
- 18:09expert in fighting and I'm an expert on goth girls.
- 18:11Any questions? Well, OK, I I do have, I do have
- 18:16a lot of, I do have a lot of questions.
- 18:18Good. So that's what kind of you gotta
- 18:20keep it going entertaining. Yeah, so you wouldn't.
- 18:22Want dead air? So, right.
- 18:25So Sir. So Sir, you, you claim to like,
- 18:28you say you invented a PlayStation Network, right?
- 18:32Yeah, why? So hey, why is it like, why is
- 18:37it like 30 bucks a month now? And why does it suck?
- 18:41Well, my stalkers got me fired. See, you liked it when I
- 18:45invented it. Yeah, exactly.
- 18:47But then my stalkers said that. They said that I said mean
- 18:52things on the Internet, and then they accused me of going to some
- 18:55place. And so I wasn't there.
- 18:57But like, you know, some stuff happened and then I deleted all
- 19:01of my Internet history a couple times.
- 19:04And I also like the people are going to say that the books that
- 19:09I deleted, I didn't actually write them and that somebody
- 19:13else wrote them. But that guy, he was just a beta
- 19:16reader. That's a cold faced lie.
- 19:20OK. Like so did you like, did you
- 19:24work for Sony though or like? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:29I, I worked for Sony and they were like, yo, we need a
- 19:35network. And I was like, what if we
- 19:37called it PlayStation Network? And they were like, this guy's a
- 19:41fucking genius. And then somebody said, yeah,
- 19:45but I'm going to lie about him on the Internet, and I got
- 19:48fired. And then they took all the
- 19:49credit away. I don't think that's how I
- 19:54corporate. I don't think that's how Sony
- 19:56works. I'm telling you that's what
- 19:58happened. Are you calling me a liar?
- 20:02I'm not, I'm not saying that, I'm just saying it's highly I.
- 20:05Don't even think you're in a wheelchair right now.
- 20:08I, you know what I you say. You heard I didn't work for
- 20:11Sony. I heard from a reliable source
- 20:15that you're not even crippled. Really.
- 20:18Like where? Where did you hear that from?
- 20:21I heard it from somebody. We all heard it.
- 20:24People heard it, people talk, Sam, and you should address all
- 20:28those concerns right now because I'm making them and I'm.
- 20:30Really mad about it. Well, I mean look I have like
- 20:36posted I have posted a photo of me and like there are photos me
- 20:42in my wheelchair and and public. I am vindicated, chat.
- 20:48I'm validated. Everybody knew I was right.
- 20:50This man is a phony. But.
- 20:54How many books have you published?
- 20:58I've. Published trillions.
- 21:00Of them. 7 and in fact, like I'm actually coming out with
- 21:06American Inferno 2 weeks from now, which you can purchase
- 21:11probably. Not coming out then, huh?
- 21:14On Amazon, yeah, yeah, that's. Probably fake in your hands.
- 21:17There's no words in that book in your hand.
- 21:19You're just faking it. I don't know.
- 21:22I don't know, absurd. There are a lot of, you know.
- 21:27It says booty 7000 pages of it. I mean.
- 21:32Booty, booty, booty, booty, booty, booty booty.
- 21:35I mean, I I do like I do. Like out my new book coming soon
- 21:39Booty. Well, well, where?
- 21:42Well, where can people buy it? Well, where can people buy it?
- 21:46You'll know when it comes out. I got to stay ahead of the
- 21:48stalkers, all right? You'll know when it comes out.
- 21:51You buy it. I'm going to tell everybody how
- 21:53many of you bought it, and then I'm going to delete it so that
- 21:56they don't know how many people bought it because they're
- 21:58stalkers. I mean, Sir, that that just
- 22:02sounds so like counterproductive though.
- 22:06That's what you got to do when you got stalkers.
- 22:07Look, they ruined my life. They call me names.
- 22:10The Internet rapes me. They said I have no game.
- 22:14They said I have no girls. I have all the girls.
- 22:17I told you binders of women. So you're so you're Mitt Romney
- 22:22then? Oh my God, you.
- 22:25Call me a plagiarist, How dare you.
- 22:29No, no. Because I stole everything I
- 22:31ever wrote doesn't make me a plagiarist, OK?
- 22:34That's I'm sure. I'm pretty sure that I didn't
- 22:38say you stole everything. You said that you stole
- 22:41everything. And I'm no.
- 22:42You said it. I'm pretty sure that like
- 22:44that's. Plagiarizing me.
- 22:48Now I'm just repeating what you what you said, you know, like.
- 22:54This guy has a lot of audacity. He's a fake cripple.
- 22:59You know. Authorizes my accusations
- 23:03against the world against me. Let me let me check.
- 23:07Let me check. I think you might be a stalker.
- 23:11Well, are you? Are you my jilted ex now?
- 23:14Is that what's going to happen? And you're going to tell
- 23:15everybody my the time I pooped in the corner a little bit when
- 23:18I when I farted and then everybody's going to laugh at
- 23:21me. Are you going to stop me now
- 23:23too? Sir, I, Sir, I've only just met.
- 23:26I've only just met you today. Like there's no way I there's
- 23:30why. Why would I stalk?
- 23:31How long it takes to turn someone in a stalker.
- 23:38I mean, I mean, you seem to know like a lot about that, about
- 23:41that subject. Stalkers.
- 23:43Yeah, I am an expert on. I've been stalked my whole life.
- 23:47They're everywhere all the time. You don't know what it's like.
- 23:50See, you just want to talk. You got to talk show.
- 23:53So you think you can talk all the time and people are going to
- 23:55listen to you? I mean to me, Sam.
- 24:00I mean that that is kind of the goal of the that is kind the
- 24:04goal of a of a talk shows for the host to talk and then, you
- 24:10know, for the guest to talk right.
- 24:14But like. Yeah, exactly.
- 24:17Right. So you know.
- 24:19So what's your game then? What are you?
- 24:21What are you? What are you trying to do here,
- 24:23huh? You trying to ruin me again,
- 24:25like everybody does every time. I won't be ruined.
- 24:30This doesn't bother me. I'm not upset at all.
- 24:35Sir. Why Sir?
- 24:36Why are there tears in your in your eyes?
- 24:39Why are there tears in your eyes?
- 24:42I'm not crying. You're crying.
- 24:44I'm not upset. You're upset.
- 24:46See how mad you are? Look at you.
- 24:47You're so fucking mad. I mean, I, I mean, I'm pretty
- 24:51amused by all of us, like. Yeah, you pretended, but look
- 24:55how mad you are. Everybody can see.
- 24:57We all saw how mad you are. No, everybody knows you're mad.
- 25:00And I'm over here just laughing at you.
- 25:02Everybody can see that. OK, Sir.
- 25:08Well, you know what? Whatever makes you feel better,
- 25:11you know? It does.
- 25:14I'm great, that's why. See, and I know I'm better than
- 25:18everybody because I do stuff and then people think it's great and
- 25:24they tell me and don't go looking for what they say
- 25:27because I delete it for the stalkers.
- 25:31So then how do we know that anything you says that you say
- 25:35is even true if you keep deleting like everybody?
- 25:38Heard what they said back in the day.
- 25:43I mean this is my first time like interacting with you
- 25:46though. So Discord back in the day,
- 25:48everybody saw that. Well, you and I must been like
- 25:54in different discords then Sir, because I don't remember like.
- 25:57No, no, you knew X 357-912-8883. Obviously you're best friends
- 26:07with them. Reposted each other on Twitter
- 26:13one time. It was a meme and you re.
- 26:17You reposted the meme and you said this is funny.
- 26:21Clearly this is your best friend and he is my stalker.
- 26:26What you mean? Oh, you mean that Max Sand guy?
- 26:30No, no, don't. We're not allowed to talk about
- 26:33him. He's a stalker.
- 26:35I will leave the show right now and you better pay me that 10K.
- 26:41I mean him again. It's going to be 20.
- 26:44I mean no, I mean, look, nobody said anything else to.
- 26:47Address this right now and get in front of it.
- 26:49OK? I will absolutely never ever do
- 26:52a Three Stooges bit with him and you.
- 26:54That is the stupidest request ever.
- 26:56Something only a stalker would say.
- 26:59How bad can you violate me with such a request?
- 27:03This is why I got raped. He told me I needed to do comedy
- 27:07just because I'm a comedian. What, Sir?
- 27:12What? What it You seem now like an odd
- 27:15fascination with ripe. I don't understand.
- 27:17Like what? The Internet rapes me every
- 27:19fucking day. Sir, have you, have you ever
- 27:24considered like going to see a therapist?
- 27:26I think it might I. Did I did, and I'll tell you
- 27:29what happened is that she said that maybe I'm not the best
- 27:32writer in the world and I dropped that bitch.
- 27:34That's what you got to do. If they don't support you, you
- 27:36got to tell them fuck off. If people don't feed into your
- 27:39delusions immediately, that means they hate you and they're
- 27:41plotting against you. Obviously get with it, you're
- 27:46better than this. Well, clearly, like, I mean, I
- 27:53think if someone's trying to give you help like, maybe you
- 27:57should also call it help. They call it help, but you know
- 27:59what it is this They get me on those pills and the pills make
- 28:02me start believing the stalkers and thinking maybe I'm not the
- 28:07best at everything in the whole world.
- 28:09And obviously that's a psyop by the Jews.
- 28:13Wow, Sir. Like Craig.
- 28:17Especially Craig. That's what I mean when I say
- 28:22that I don't actually mean all the Jews in the world.
- 28:25It's just I really am mad at Doctor Craig.
- 28:31So, so you, so you do it. He's a, he's a, he's a doctor.
- 28:36I can't believe people listen to his podcast.
- 28:38Don't you know he's Jewish? I mean look, the Fake Untime
- 28:44podcast is awesome and everyone I know.
- 28:48I know, and it's better than anything I can produce.
- 28:50And that's why I hate him. You too.
- 28:54You and your damn show where you interview famous authors like I
- 28:58try to be. I mean, I am.
- 29:00I am. I'm better than all.
- 29:01I sell more than all of them, obviously.
- 29:05Really so like you? So you sold more copies than
- 29:09Eric Bishops the Body Man series?
- 29:12I once talked to Andy Warski. Sam, I'm a big.
- 29:17Deal. Well, I once did you.
- 29:19Know I invented Gamergate. Literally invented it.
- 29:23Really you? You invented.
- 29:26On Discord back in the day, you know, everybody knows.
- 29:30You all saw it on Discord. Well, I mean just.
- 29:34Because I delete my Discord every five months.
- 29:37You saw it, you were there. Everybody saw it, I mean.
- 29:42So do you have like a relationship with Mr. Medicare
- 29:44or anything like like like that? I don't RIP off Mr. Medicare
- 29:48with my streams. Why would you say that?
- 29:51No, I'm I'm not saying you ripped him off an.
- 29:53Accusation. Is this just because I literally
- 29:57put him on as a guest? It's because he really was a
- 29:59guest. I know people said I just took
- 30:01his video and I did a little intro and then a little outro,
- 30:05but no, Jim actually physically came to my house and recorded
- 30:10that video with me. I mean, you don't believe it.
- 30:12It's because you weren't on Discord back in the day.
- 30:14You don't know. I mean, I doubt that you're.
- 30:16New You're new to the Internet? What do you know?
- 30:19I mean, Sir, I've been, I've been online since like 2000 AI
- 30:25like. That Yeah, this is it, yeah.
- 30:27Sam Whitfield admitting it. Like, live right here for
- 30:30everybody. That he's my stalker.
- 30:32I can't fucking believe this. I.
- 30:34Mean Sir, I've I only. My family alone.
- 30:37I know that you called my Aunt Rhonda, and I know that you told
- 30:41her that I stuck my Willy in a light socket.
- 30:45And you should have done that just because it's true.
- 30:48My Aunt Rhonda didn't need to know that.
- 30:49Sam. Why do you stalk me like this?
- 30:52Sam, you want you want a pound of flesh, too?
- 30:56I'm so mad. I'm going to ruin my studio
- 30:58right now. Can't fucking believe this.
- 31:06Sorry. I'm sorry.
- 31:07Oh, no, no, that's bad. For I'm not spurging out.
- 31:09You're spurging out. OK, I'm.
- 31:12Working out Sam. But why?
- 31:14Are you working out? Look at this guy's working out
- 31:18over here. You know, on that, on that, no,
- 31:21ladies in general, I think it may be time for us to take a a
- 31:26quick break and oh. This has been.
- 31:31Anyway, yeah, we're, we're on mute now.
- 31:37Yeah. I mean, our our guest is my God,
- 31:40folks, I am. I am sorry.
- 31:43Our guest is just freaking out right now.
- 31:47I don't know, Roy, what to say it.
- 31:52It's unfortunate, but we'll be back and yeah, let's see.
- 32:16So, yeah, any who. Oh, Max.
- 32:26I think Max is here now, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 32:33Max, Max, we had, we had, we had, we had a bizarre, we had a
- 32:38bizarre guest. I'm not sure.
- 32:40By the way, I welcome everyone Max Sanda to the show.
- 32:45We had a really bizarre guest on before you came on.
- 32:49Yeah. Well, yeah, I I said we got a
- 32:52book. That guy, he's the best author
- 32:55in the world. That's what he said.
- 32:57Well, you know. And I was like, I know Sam be
- 33:00writing so like literally he's so fire with his writing.
- 33:04Is Sam that his new book is called American Inferno.
- 33:07We got that. Did he promo anything?
- 33:11Well, he, well, he promoed, he promoted some, like erotic
- 33:16fiction. He said that like he's Max.
- 33:19He said that the Internet was writing him.
- 33:22Yeah. Yeah, he keeps saying that.
- 33:24He says that everybody's stalking him.
- 33:27You were. You were, I said in the e-mail.
- 33:30Sam, you got to be really careful with this guy.
- 33:32He's kind of crazy. Well, that that was that was
- 33:36another. That was an understatement.
- 33:40Well. At least it'll be good content
- 33:42when it did he spurg out. Yeah, he spur.
- 33:46He spurged out big time. That must be embarrassing to do
- 33:51that. Yeah, I mean, look, I've, I've
- 33:55had, I've had a few people do that on the show.
- 34:01I mean, you know. Happens.
- 34:06Yeah. Remember that one guy spurged
- 34:08out and he spurged out about me. I I was what was his name?
- 34:12Dina Dinah, Tina, Gina. Anyway, that guy that spurged
- 34:15out about me and then you like messaged me and then I've been
- 34:19Co hosting the live show. But this Sam, this is history
- 34:22right now. This is the first time I've done
- 34:24the Monday interview show. So you got to ask me some
- 34:27questions, man. Yeah.
- 34:29I love it. Thank you.
- 34:31No, happy to have you on in All in all seriousness, I I do want
- 34:37to start off by asking you like it's been like close three
- 34:43years. Like, how do you think the show
- 34:47has like, I mean, hey, I mean, I I still can't believe that we're
- 34:53back on YouTube, honestly, like. That alone is crazy, but I think
- 34:57the biggest change is Ben, you weren't even considering writing
- 35:00as a anything other than, well, you did your freelancing and you
- 35:04wrote your articles here and there, but you weren't like
- 35:07publishing anything. Now we're about to launch an
- 35:12probably the biggest book of your career so far, and I've
- 35:17been working heavily on some some music inspired by it to
- 35:20help with the promotion. Which I which is which I really
- 35:24appreciate. Creatively working with you has
- 35:27been great because we just get each other on that level.
- 35:31Yeah. And yeah, I mean.
- 35:36I think my my fan fiction. I am a fan fiction author.
- 35:40That's true. Yes.
- 35:42I'm the least impressive author that has ever graced this
- 35:46program, but I did write a funny one time.
- 35:50Yeah, you did you, You did write a funny, which I would like to.
- 35:57I would like to play for the audience.
- 36:05Yeah, yeah. In case the viewing or listening
- 36:08audience doesn't know, you know, we have, we have done comedy
- 36:14bits like this before, but this is one of our favorites.
- 36:19Or Always One Mind. But he inspired me, Sam.
- 36:24I wrote something. Oh.
- 36:27I wrote a novella chapter. Well I wrote 1 chapter, you know
- 36:32I didn't put. That much over into it.
- 36:34And I'm, I'm, I'm willing to, to share some of this with the
- 36:37audience. It's called Fox.
- 36:40But like, but like, foe, you know, like FAUX in the Hen
- 36:46House, a novella by Max Sand. You ready for this, Sam?
- 36:51Yeah. He sat in front of his computer,
- 36:55writing as he liked to do. It was never very good, but that
- 36:59never stopped him. After finishing a particularly
- 37:02bad chapter, he sat back in his chair with ripped armrests
- 37:05inside. Loudly.
- 37:07This one will be the one, I just know it, Jimmy said.
- 37:11Jimmy Fox, by the way, not as certain as the words might
- 37:16indicate. Ever since Evan quit editing his
- 37:19books, he hadn't sold a single one.
- 37:22To be fair, when Evan was around, he only sold a few and
- 37:25this was clearly not going to be a career path for Jimmy.
- 37:28But what was? At this point, he hadn't had a
- 37:30job in eight years. In fact, they've been roughly 8
- 37:331/2 years since he lost a job at a big computer company and his
- 37:38brother's couch isn't really comfortable, much less when he
- 37:43gets the daily. When are you getting a?
- 37:44Job and move it out. Jimmy's speech.
- 37:46His brother is so so. Fond of giving.
- 37:49They just don't understand, he thought.
- 37:51He's an author and sooner or later someone will buy his
- 37:55books. He just needs to push the
- 37:57problems of life off and build his online presence.
- 38:03Said presence had been underwhelming lately, to say the
- 38:07least. You see, all Johnny's friends
- 38:09conspired to turn on him at exactly the same time, and in
- 38:13fact had been faking being his friends online for years.
- 38:18Outside of the Internet, he has no friends, so this was a big
- 38:21deal to Jimmy. Ever since they caught him
- 38:23stealing gameplay footage while live streaming.
- 38:25They'd all work together to screw him over.
- 38:28And only that fateful night of his terrible live stream when
- 38:32everybody laughed at him, did he realize the truth far too late.
- 38:37Jimmy sat in horror as he realized they were all mocking
- 38:40him, laughing at him. He could feel the laughter in
- 38:44the deepest. Part of his heart.
- 38:46Reverberating to and fro and cackles and giggles.
- 38:50A knife would have been more merciful, but they didn't want
- 38:53mercy on poor Jimmy. No, they sought torture and
- 38:56picked the most sick and twisted weapon of all, mockery.
- 39:02They claimed he was a low cow, and he knew what that meant now.
- 39:06And no, he could never be that. He was not a loser who lied,
- 39:11told big fish stories and got angry and made a fool of
- 39:14himself. He was a nice guy, a sensitive
- 39:16artist and an author. God damn it.
- 39:20Drifting out of his Daydream, Jimmy stared at the page again,
- 39:23rereading his work. Yeah, this one will be great.
- 39:26When the computer made that sharp digging sound he set
- 39:30whenever he gets mentioned online.
- 39:32Oh no, not again. This thing was specific, it
- 39:38could only mean one thing, and that sound hung low in Jimmy's
- 39:42gut for a moment, wriggling around into the pit before
- 39:46settling into his balls in an uncomfortable but not entirely
- 39:50painful ball of anxiety. It's fucking him again.
- 39:54Jimmy exclaimed, forgetting his brother was right there.
- 39:57James, shut the fuck up. His brother Jaylor replied.
- 40:00I worked all day to feed your fat ass and you can't even have
- 40:03the decent to be quiet? Are you off your meds again?
- 40:06I told you I won't take them, they're part of the conspiracy.
- 40:09And anyway, it's my stalker fan again.
- 40:11He made another video about me. You mean the guy who points out
- 40:15you're a fat loser who should spend less time online and more
- 40:18time trying to get a fucking job and get.
- 40:20Out of my. House.
- 40:21The brother spat the words out with pure venom.
- 40:24No, I mean the stalker who's accepted using my fame for
- 40:28clicks and AD revenue. Now leave me alone.
- 40:32Jimmy was meeker now, pushed too far.
- 40:35OK Jimbo, whatever you say, just send me the link to his new
- 40:38video. He's right about you and it's
- 40:39always funny. The hateful brother said these
- 40:41words with that same smug tone the stalker used.
- 40:45Fuck you he is not. I'm a famous author, God damn
- 40:49it. Jimmy yelled furiously and then
- 40:51sobbed. He clicked the pop.
- 40:54Up and there it was. Jimmy Fox exposed 10 new lies
- 40:58from the Fox man read the title I mean, held it for a few
- 41:03seconds and then. Exhaled.
- 41:05Deeply and click play. His one last loyal fan told him
- 41:09not to even watch, but this one had 50 views and comments.
- 41:15The first thing he did is pause and look at the comments and
- 41:19that dread ball and his nuts flared right back up and spread
- 41:22into his chest. Why does Jimmy lie so much?
- 41:26He's so weird. That one was from Solar Angel.
- 41:29He's Solar Angel, but she used to watch his streams and he was
- 41:34going to make her his girlfriend.
- 41:36This monster stole his Angel and poisoned her mind too.
- 41:39This has gone too far. What could he do?
- 41:43Tears formed as he clicked the button to unpause a video, and
- 41:47there he was, the stalker. In the corner was his face Cam
- 41:52with weird flags and a shirt reading online.
- 41:55Asshole. Tacked up to the wall in the
- 41:59middle is a. Picture of.
- 42:01Wait. Wait, is that my new book?
- 42:04Jimmy said. I I forgot how much I died.
- 42:08On the stream laughing. That's what made it from like a
- 42:12little. Bit that I did into like I have
- 42:14to clip this because Sam's like belly laugh over it makes the
- 42:19whole thing yeah yeah yeah and. Yeah, because.
- 42:22Well, because I believe at the time that we did this stream
- 42:25that you, that you still had the Internet asshole.
- 42:31Yeah. Attacked up on the wall, Yeah.
- 42:33Yeah, it's, it's around somewhere.
- 42:36I still have the shirt which they took the website down
- 42:41though. Well that was why I kind of gave
- 42:43up on the Internet. Scumbag thing, but it's very
- 42:46funny online asshole. I I like.
- 42:49I like made a generic version of my own stupid thing.
- 42:53Yeah, which for the people I art.
- 42:55Yeah, which for the? People who don't.
- 42:57You know, know, I suppose we should fill fill them in.
- 43:01That has been called an in a scumbag by like a couple people.
- 43:08That's I guess. That's really.
- 43:09My art form, you know, I'm not a writer.
- 43:13I don't I wouldn't say I'm a YouTube or a director or an
- 43:17editor. I.
- 43:20Don't know, I'm an Internet scumbag.
- 43:21Dave said it first, to be fair. Well, I mean, Dave, like like I
- 43:27go. Online and look at people's
- 43:29videos. And point things out in the
- 43:32background, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, Dave.
- 43:35Dave said that I had that on a sound board for a while, but
- 43:38don't have it handy right at the moment, Yeah.
- 43:43And you know you can. Finish up the video and then we
- 43:46can talk about my art form. It's not one you've discussed on
- 43:48the show very often, but it's one that you do with me.
- 43:51So it's very interesting. I think they.
- 43:55Got a taste reading on a stupid? Mocking voice and stopping to
- 43:59make jokes. Wow, this is some terrible
- 44:01writing. The stalker kept reading in that
- 44:03smug voice, the arrogance of this man.
- 44:06He didn't understand how hard writing was.
- 44:09And the best part, ladies and gentlemen, is here on the back
- 44:12cover. He flipped open the book to
- 44:15about the author section. Jimmy had signed all his books,
- 44:18John Faulkner a pen name he made-up and used a photo he
- 44:22liked. Yes the photo was old and he
- 44:25used a filter or two and maybe some AI but it was him.
- 44:29What? What?
- 44:30Are you really going to say about this?
- 44:31Jimmy. Realized he was holding his
- 44:33breath and quickly exhaled and inhaled again, only to hold it
- 44:36once more. He says he lives in London.
- 44:39Says it on. His website too.
- 44:41But here in this message, the man clicks a few keys and the
- 44:44main screen changes to a direct message 1 he sent to his former
- 44:48editor, Evan. Oh God, no Where, he says.
- 44:53I will have you know I contacted a lawyer right here in South
- 44:56Carolina and retained another one in LA I will sue you and
- 45:00your brother for. Everything you cock.
- 45:01Suckers have. Unless he deletes these videos
- 45:04now. Well, Jimmy, I can call you
- 45:06Jimmy, right? I know you signed books as
- 45:08Johnny, but your name is Jimmy Fox.
- 45:11Anyhow, Jimmy, it's interesting how you claim to live in one
- 45:14place and then say you're in another.
- 45:16And how do you and how you claim to be destructed and then or
- 45:20destitute. I'm sorry, destitute and then
- 45:23claim to be rich and famous. It's almost like the man paused
- 45:27with a hideous grin, laughed a little and continued.
- 45:30It's almost like you lie about basically every word that comes
- 45:33out of your mouth. No, Jimmy, I don't think I will
- 45:35delete anything, and in fact, we will be making more content
- 45:39about you, your books, and your lies going forward.
- 45:42It's so much fun and you're such a good sport about it.
- 45:45Until next time, Jimmy, have a fine evening.
- 45:48It was at this moment Jimmy knew what he had to do, not just what
- 45:53he wanted. To do.
- 45:54But what he had to do, it was right then and there he knew he
- 45:58had to kill this man. I'm going to kill Max Sand.
- 46:02He yelled. Didn't I tell you to shut the
- 46:05fuck up James? Jesus Christ, waking me up again
- 46:07and you'll be sleeping in a fucking dumpster.
- 46:09His brother said, rolling over and back to sleep.
- 46:13Jimmy stayed quiet for the rest of the.
- 46:15Night. He didn't sleep, however, he
- 46:17plotted. He rode his plan in great
- 46:20detail. Max would understand.
- 46:23He was going to make him understand scene and there and
- 46:30there you have it. Yeah.
- 46:33Yeah, so I guess my art form is like, I guess it's adjacent to.
- 46:40Like if I'm going to be real. Like, and I feel like this is
- 46:43the proper show for me to talk about this kind of thing and
- 46:45people don't understand. Obviously cringe coffee house,
- 46:50which is like my original brand I've been going with a long time
- 46:53now, started as the idea of I was doing a morning show on
- 46:57stream dot me and I used to just jump in open panels that other
- 47:02people had, like talking about politics or just discussing
- 47:08things. But this idea was like, what if
- 47:10I made what I wanted to do, which was look at strange art
- 47:17because I like outsider art. I always have.
- 47:19It's a passion of mine. I like, you know, music genres
- 47:22and things that people don't normally like.
- 47:24I've met, as we talk about on the show every week, I've met so
- 47:28many artists with unique perspectives and I really value
- 47:33that and the kind of authenticity it often brings.
- 47:37And So what originally cringing over coffee the first like
- 47:40episodes were you? You probably don't even know
- 47:43this because I can't find them anymore.
- 47:45And I would love to do it again for that reason and maybe have
- 47:48you on was. We watched psychiatric interview
- 47:52videos from the 1950s, And I would just stop and comment on
- 47:57it with a guy called Iron Man. Shmuley used to be there, Rick,
- 48:01shout out Rick Turpin. And we would, you know, whoever
- 48:05was there that morning and we would watch like, what they
- 48:08would call a catatonic schizophrenic being interviewed
- 48:11by a literal psychologist. These are like a real video and
- 48:16just asking them questions. And you notice immediately how
- 48:20different it is from how we treat mental health now.
- 48:22And my argument in those initial episodes was literally like, it
- 48:26was better. Yeah, well.
- 48:29We'd actually talked a lot about mental health on the Wednesday
- 48:32show and we've talked about ultimate with guests who have
- 48:36worked on the field, you know, on recurring subject now, the
- 48:40mental health. Crisis, right?
- 48:42Yeah, Yeah. Unfortunately, it seems to be
- 48:46one that we talked like every few months now and I have to
- 48:52like suddenly cross. Myself every fucking time and
- 48:55pray for victims and of course there.
- 48:57Was a horrible. Tragedy down here in Pawtucket
- 49:00this week, which we talked about that that was I think very
- 49:04related to mental health and that's sort of what my show was
- 49:09about is if these people are out there doing these kind of over
- 49:14the top things right on their YouTube channels and things.
- 49:18The only thing I, as just dad on the Internet who knows how to
- 49:22use OBS, could possibly do was to look at it and I decided
- 49:27cringe. Coffee house.
- 49:29It's more of an art house. It's more of an art exhibition.
- 49:34And I really do in my head picture it as a 50s beatnik.
- 49:38Our house at that. Yeah, we're all snapping.
- 49:42At Dice Golden. On the screen, Dice Golden, one
- 49:45of the recurring subjects of the show.
- 49:47Because I'm going to assume people watching the Monday show
- 49:50might not know anything about my art.
- 49:52And I can explain it in a way because I'll tell you what, if
- 49:56you hear what I'm saying now and you're like, OK, you look at art
- 49:58made by crazy people. I don't think it's bad.
- 50:02And that that's what a lot of people are confused by.
- 50:05I think it's good most of the time.
- 50:07Well, I wanted to kind of ask you about.
- 50:09About that. So we've had we've had stand up
- 50:13comedians too on this show, or at least you know, people who
- 50:17were stand up comedians. Like we had James Dawson at the
- 50:22end of that was that was the year who conversation too.
- 50:25Yeah, I like that one. Yeah.
- 50:26He did. He did stand.
- 50:28Up and now he's now he's writing throw authors, which you know
- 50:33like a lot a lot of great drama actors often like start out as
- 50:37comedians too ironically, which I well and the other thing is
- 50:41like a. Thriller can be helped by
- 50:44somebody who knows how to provide a bit of levity, right?
- 50:47Right. But.
- 50:49So one thing I've wanted at one question I've gotten a lot
- 50:51actually is and noted. Like this is by some.
- 50:57Usually by older people who don't necessarily understand the
- 50:59Internet, but like what exactly was when it.
- 51:04Or I I. Guess this is kind of two-part I
- 51:07guess. When was the transition and what
- 51:10was the transition between like stand up comedy and then
- 51:13Internet comedy type of stuff like Sam Hyde and whatnot?
- 51:18Because a lot of people who are familiar with stand up, like
- 51:21they don't understand the humor of like, I think Sam Hyde is
- 51:25actually the dividing. Line, I think, yeah.
- 51:28Sam Hyde's Adult Swim show World Peace, MDE presents World Peace.
- 51:34Check that out. By the way, I am AI am a huge
- 51:37supporter of what Sam High does and it's it's really refreshing.
- 51:43But at first when he came out, his comedy, look, the thing
- 51:47about comedy of the past, especially someone my age is
- 51:51like 90s comedy was extremely edgy, like extremely probably PG
- 51:56was like late 90s, early 2000s up until like 2010.
- 52:01And that's when the cancel culture stuff creeped in.
- 52:04And so I'm a creature of that more than Internet.
- 52:07But I'm also, I was, I grew up being kind of I'm a weird mix
- 52:12because I'm an extrovert. You know me, Sam, I'm an
- 52:15outdoorsy guy, but like I like to look at weird outsider art as
- 52:22a thing. And so I started, you know, I
- 52:26was seeing Sam Hyde. If you if you want to know where
- 52:28my influences come from with what I did like, yeah, that's
- 52:32more it like the the mainstream comedy of the 90s.
- 52:35People will sit and compare what I do to other Internet people
- 52:38and I usually just take it as cool.
- 52:41That's cool. Like, again, I get it a lot
- 52:43compared with pod awful. Well, that's because I was going
- 52:47to say that's one of the the people that look, I mean,
- 52:49Jesse's been doing this forever. He's so funny.
- 52:53If you haven't ever seen Pot Awful, you really should check
- 52:56it out. It's a, it's more like the kind
- 52:58of comedy I grew up with where it's no holds barred and the
- 53:02joke is usually not as mean. The other thing about Internet
- 53:06comedy is once it changed over, Sam Hyde's not mean spirited,
- 53:12but modern Internet comedy has replaced being funny with being
- 53:15mean spirited. I don't know if you've noticed
- 53:17this. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 53:20Definitely and but but you know, all's well the.
- 53:23Heart of the comedy of cringe Coffee house comes from the
- 53:26exact opposite of that. Like that's my whole fucking
- 53:30point. Well, I think, sorry I'm.
- 53:32Trying not to swear as much on the.
- 53:34Monday show. I apologize.
- 53:35No, no, that's that's fine. I guess I think the the bit we
- 53:39did at the. Top of the show.
- 53:41It doesn't matter, huh? Well, I I think I.
- 53:44Think. Imagine somebody stops it and
- 53:46thinks you kicked. Me off the show.
- 53:48That'd be great. Yeah, no, I.
- 53:51We have to clip that right and be like.
- 53:53Max gets thrown off the whiff. Sorry, sorry, sorry.
- 53:56Let's go. Yeah, well, I think.
- 53:59I mean, I did I get about comedy.
- 54:01I. Think that's one of the I think.
- 54:03That's one of the whole things though, is like, I think, and
- 54:07this kind writes to like a lot of the Monday show is as
- 54:14protocol, but you know, I do kind of birth talks.
- 54:16I think that's kind of one of the things that people kind of
- 54:20get confused sometimes. I think people especially like
- 54:24during the 2014 to 2016 post era, it confused caught.
- 54:31They confuse edgy Connie with like being with like really
- 54:35serious. Yeah.
- 54:36With being like mean and you know, edgy and whatnot.
- 54:39Like and like I do. Think some of that stuff did
- 54:43get. Hijacked by certain political
- 54:45movements. There's nothing.
- 54:47And I don't think there's anything inherently racist about
- 54:49like, Pepe or anything like that.
- 54:51Yeah, it's a cartoon frog, right?
- 54:54Like. Like Gen.
- 54:57X Don Rickles from the wrong side of the tracks is all I am.
- 55:01Like yeah no I'm not doing anything groundbreaking it.
- 55:05Technically most of the jokes we make on the show shouldn't even
- 55:08be edgy by what I would recognize as edgy, right?
- 55:14We don't make the butt of the jokes like innocent people, for
- 55:18example, or like people that just don't deserve it for no
- 55:22reason. I'm not even going to mention
- 55:25specifically, but obviously I'm obviously with what we're doing
- 55:28tonight. There was a mockery involved,
- 55:31unless you didn't see it and then you're probably that
- 55:32person. That person is exactly the thing
- 55:37that's so funny to me. To mock is like they try to
- 55:39present as both authentic on the Internet but to also appeal to
- 55:46any demographic that will pay essentially clout seeking.
- 55:50So they're right, they're wearing a mask of authenticity
- 55:54to try and get those attentions. But if you look at the types of
- 55:58people that get that attention just organically, it's because
- 56:01they are authentic. I don't always agree with Asman
- 56:05Gold, for example, but I do enough.
- 56:08And the reason that so many people watch him even when they
- 56:11don't agree with him is because he comes off as he's saying what
- 56:17he believes and he's authentic. He's not saying I'm the coolest
- 56:21guy ever. He's like, I'm a guy on the
- 56:23Internet and this is what I think.
- 56:25And that's I tried to do that as well.
- 56:28Well, and I would say. With with me too.
- 56:32No, you and I are few, few years apart, but like I, I came up
- 56:37with, you know, in the era of, you know, when I first, when I
- 56:43first started, like Joe Rogan was just starting to do
- 56:49podcasting and he, he was, he was just, he wasn't even like as
- 56:54big as he was now. Like he he's talked to really
- 56:57obscure like meetings back in the day.
- 57:00He used to like, yeah, I mean, he used to even there were, I
- 57:05think there was in like an episode or two where he like
- 57:07talked like, you know, porn stars and whatnot.
- 57:10Like he talked to obscure people and like them or not.
- 57:14Like. I think one of the things that
- 57:15is very Joe has always come off to me as like very authentically
- 57:19curious about a wide variety of topics.
- 57:23Us have bonded immediately. Once we met over our love of
- 57:28talk radio more than podcasting. And of course, we've talked on
- 57:33air extensively. We both love Rush Limbaugh, but
- 57:36I could point to some like, I mean, obviously podcasting wise,
- 57:40I mentioned Pod Awful is an inspiration, but even that's not
- 57:44completely fair. Not to knock Jesse, but Perry
- 57:46Caravello. Yeah.
- 57:49Yeah. That's like, you can't not
- 57:51mention that if you're trying to do a comedy podcast of any kind.
- 57:55And if you don't know that, just go, just go look it up and you
- 57:58can listen to all those podcasts.
- 58:00It doesn't matter when it's been so many years.
- 58:03It doesn't matter when. Just listen to the Perry
- 58:05Caravello, the the podcast series from like 2004.
- 58:11Yeah, well. I.
- 58:12Would say. I would say also you you and I
- 58:16both have a little bit of like Adam Corolla too.
- 58:19You were also going to mention when when I was talking about.
- 58:23Radio stuff. Love Line.
- 58:24My God, Did Love Line affect my sense of humor?
- 58:28Yeah. Well, yeah, just Adam.
- 58:30But Doctor Drew. 'S a funny guy.
- 58:33Yeah, Yeah, he is. Yeah, he.
- 58:34Is, which not a lot of people like a lot of people my age and
- 58:38younger, they only know of Drew for because he's on like he's on
- 58:42the Health Network or HLN. What what what about the health
- 58:46TV network? A juvenile delinquent in high
- 58:49school in. The 90s, right?
- 58:51In the 2000s, every one of us on a Saturday night would be
- 58:55sitting there smoking pot or something listening to fucking
- 58:57Love Line and laughing at. But there was good stuff there.
- 59:01People would call in with real serious problems that didn't get
- 59:04talked about, sexually related. But also then there would be
- 59:07stupid people who would call in and ask stupid questions and
- 59:11like, Adam would get the stupid people and Doctor Drew would
- 59:14give the good advice. And it was always a great show.
- 59:17Man, they ran that show for like 20 years or something.
- 59:21Yeah, Well, well, they and they. And I don't know if you've, if
- 59:24you've heard this, but they, they've kind of rebooted that a
- 59:26little bit with the Adam and Drew show, which they now go do
- 59:30under. I remember, I remember when you
- 59:34and I first started doing the podcast together, you and I
- 59:36were, you and I, you and I were kind of the first people also to
- 59:41to break the, the story about the podcast one Scandal 2, about
- 59:46how they weren't paying, they weren't paying people.
- 59:51There's another one I cannot. Sit here, I don't care people,
- 59:54some of our right wing audience will know and get mad.
- 59:57I listen to a lot of Jim Cornette and that's where I
- 1:00:00heard that from. Jim Cornette is a fantastic
- 1:00:02podcaster. I don't like his politics, but I
- 1:00:05don't listen to a lot of the and he talks politics.
- 1:00:07I skipped to the next segment and he's a lefty.
- 1:00:10He's a Trump Derangement Syndrome, but you listen to him
- 1:00:13about wrestling and if you if you think he's not funny, I
- 1:00:16think you're not funny. And also he knows his shit about
- 1:00:21wrestling but. Legitimately, like, the guy will
- 1:00:23have you in stitches. He's a great personality.
- 1:00:27Yeah, I try to bring a lot of personality to the show.
- 1:00:29I understand that sometimes that's what you're saying is
- 1:00:32people get confused as to what's going on.
- 1:00:35That's why I thought it was a. Good opportunity to.
- 1:00:37Start with my madness, but then we can talk about comedy, I
- 1:00:40think. I think what we're getting at is
- 1:00:43that we think modern comedy is dead and it's soft.
- 1:00:48Well, you're not allowed to just say a wacky thing because you
- 1:00:52have to be worried what people might think of you.
- 1:00:55And I don't. Yeah.
- 1:00:56Like, if I spent my time thinking about that, I don't
- 1:01:00know who does, really. You're supposed to treat it like
- 1:01:05that, But who really thinks about that?
- 1:01:08It will be. People who live terminally.
- 1:01:10Online and I and I, I think that's, I think that's a huge
- 1:01:15problem too, is like as as much as yeah, they're like addicted
- 1:01:19to likes and shit. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:23Yeah, I mean, like, look, as far as like as far as like promoting
- 1:01:27the books and the show, like, yeah, like comment and subscribe
- 1:01:32that always. That always helps.
- 1:01:34But we almost kind of do that tongue in cheek because it's
- 1:01:39yeah. And every time we do that.
- 1:01:41Or every time we do promo, it's like pulling teeth for us and
- 1:01:45the audience knows it. Yeah, that like.
- 1:01:48Like that's a 4th wall. Break right there.
- 1:01:50Yeah, guys, we don't actually like promo.
- 1:01:54It's a bit hard. It's a bit like annoying, we
- 1:01:58know. That that.
- 1:01:59Shit's annoying, I get it. We tweet all our showdown
- 1:02:03Twitter sometimes, you guys. That's why you end up not seeing
- 1:02:06all of it is because we, but that's, it's the name of the
- 1:02:09game and it's for most of what we do is the base level of that
- 1:02:13shit. Because that's not what we like.
- 1:02:15And I'm speaking for Sam now because I know this is damn well
- 1:02:18true. What we like to do is making the
- 1:02:20content, having interesting conversations, doing something
- 1:02:24fun for us. We both do this as a hobby
- 1:02:28because we love it and we both would do it for free.
- 1:02:31Yeah, that's not to say. Oh well.
- 1:02:33We're just so super pure and we'd never take money.
- 1:02:36No, it just means we literally like making content.
- 1:02:41I love this. And working with you has been
- 1:02:43the most fun I've had ever. Yeah, and and and.
- 1:02:48People have, and I mean I those of who have listened to the show
- 1:02:53long enough, like even even like even before you came on, some of
- 1:02:58you will remember I actually had a Spotify deal.
- 1:03:02I actually had like a deal where I was doing ad reads for Spotify
- 1:03:07but then that deal ended because I made AI made a joke that I
- 1:03:12thought was pretty funny, which is Spotify wanted me to add like
- 1:03:17Spotify wanted. Me to to read.
- 1:03:19Like Ad Copy where I promoted one of Taylor Swift's albums.
- 1:03:23So I in anyone who knows me knows I don't really like Taylor
- 1:03:27Swift's music taste. So I, I made a joke saying you
- 1:03:31could stream, you know, this new Taylor Swift album or you could
- 1:03:36stream her ex, her ex John Mayer's album, which is what,
- 1:03:41which is way better. And I actually got like an
- 1:03:43e-mail saying you can't like we have, we have to drop pulsary.
- 1:03:51Fellatio. Yeah, promoting.
- 1:03:54Yes, we are maybe a lot less successful than we could be
- 1:03:58because we hate to do that. We actually do respect our
- 1:04:02audience and and the thing that's why the Monday show has
- 1:04:05been so much fun and that's why I don't just jump on it because
- 1:04:09I have a tendency with my comedic stylings.
- 1:04:13Let's say I'm great on the Wednesday show.
- 1:04:15It's me, you back and forth. We don't have a lot of dead air.
- 1:04:18More theists is there to keep me in line.
- 1:04:21My wife and we just have kind of this comedy talk about the news,
- 1:04:25serious when we want, you know, But I sit here and I watch your
- 1:04:29Monday show and I see some. Absolutely.
- 1:04:32Amazing discussions. Discussions with artists about
- 1:04:36art. Yeah, I've always loved it and I
- 1:04:39never really wanted to insert myself onto it, but I was like,
- 1:04:42well, if you don't have anybody, I have an idea for something
- 1:04:45funny. And that's usually a lot of what
- 1:04:48we do is I'm like another break the 4th wall.
- 1:04:51I'll send Sam a random message during the week and like here's
- 1:04:54an idea for a bit and it might be the dumbest thing.
- 1:04:59And it might be a great. Idea that we use but I can rest
- 1:05:03assured he won't look at it until I'm on the show live.
- 1:05:09See what I did there? Yeah, so.
- 1:05:13Yeah. No, no, but like we do we.
- 1:05:16Collaborate a lot on things and are always looking for fresh and
- 1:05:21fun things to bring to the show. And we put a lot of work in that
- 1:05:26area and not a lot of work into the promo side of it, which you
- 1:05:30could say, Oh well you should do that.
- 1:05:32That's the name of the game, but that's not the part of the game
- 1:05:34we like. Well, and I mean I, I.
- 1:05:37Think we've kind of. Had to.
- 1:05:39We, we, we do, we do more. You know, we've done more shorts
- 1:05:42since that's apparently the name, the name of the game.
- 1:05:46It's been working out really well too.
- 1:05:47So I guess yeah, we were wrong. We should shamelessly promote
- 1:05:52more which which, by the way, I do.
- 1:05:54Find that weird, just not for not only for us, but I I do find
- 1:05:59it weird that like that because there's this weird dichotomy of
- 1:06:03media that I've noticed Max we're like where people will
- 1:06:08people. Won't be able to watch.
- 1:06:10Like a three hour movie, right? They only want to.
- 1:06:14Watch like shorts. Or whatnot of like of like a
- 1:06:17movie, but then they'll also sit and wasn't like a 3 1/2 hour Joe
- 1:06:21Rogan podcast. It's it's really weird.
- 1:06:26A lot of like our long form content.
- 1:06:28Once it's not live, I think isn't getting served.
- 1:06:31And so hey, I do have something to promote and you're a part of
- 1:06:36it. I'm not.
- 1:06:38We did an episode of Cringe Coffee House crossed over with
- 1:06:41sandwich makers. That's my wife's program and we
- 1:06:45did the Riz wars. That was last Saturday night, a
- 1:06:49lot of fun, one of the funniest dreams I've ever done.
- 1:06:53And so you can check that out Cringe Coffee House on YouTube.
- 1:06:57Other things that I make, like what kind of art I make is like
- 1:07:01I say, we usually pick a, a subject, obviously yours.
- 1:07:05My favorite, most people's favorite is Dave, Dave in New
- 1:07:09York. And what Dave is, is a guy that
- 1:07:12puts up a lot, lot of YouTube videos that has problems.
- 1:07:16And Dave has a very abrasive and in your face personality.
- 1:07:22Like he got locked in 1998 when he was 15 years old and he has
- 1:07:26not evolved 1 bit and. We watched the.
- 1:07:31Hijinks. Dave gets up to and laugh, and
- 1:07:35Dave is a good sport about it. He's come on the show.
- 1:07:38Dave doesn't apologize for literally anything ever.
- 1:07:43And Dave is who he is. He lives out there in the world
- 1:07:48and I have treated this like high art and people fucking
- 1:07:51don't get it. But I that's what I love.
- 1:07:54Another Guy is Dice golden as we watch young artists making these
- 1:07:59sort of movies. He called them.
- 1:08:03And he played every role and he would cut in between takes and
- 1:08:07put a whole new outfit on to show the new character.
- 1:08:10And he kept all the outfits straight.
- 1:08:12He kept all his timing straight. And he'd make these five hour
- 1:08:17movies full of horrific racial slurs and horrible violence.
- 1:08:25Yeah. And the thing, the thing that
- 1:08:27is. Like it's, it's bad, they're
- 1:08:31bad, but they're so bad. They're also kind of good and
- 1:08:36also good almost this kids. Putting his heart.
- 1:08:38Into this. He clearly it means something to
- 1:08:41him, whatever, however crazy it is, and nobody's watching it,
- 1:08:45nobody except my fan base. And over the course of the
- 1:08:50series, I started to root for this guy.
- 1:08:53At first I was like, oh man, he's saying all these slurs.
- 1:08:56He had a character based on me whose catch phrase was a
- 1:08:59combination of slurs. Yes, and it this is the other.
- 1:09:05Problem though is when I deal with these Internet people,
- 1:09:08sometimes they get like attention focused on me and
- 1:09:12obsessive and start just saying crazy shit.
- 1:09:16And that happens to a lot of people on the Internet,
- 1:09:18admittedly. But my trick and how I handle it
- 1:09:22is just I keep doing comedy the same way and I don't really deal
- 1:09:27with it, you know, because at the end of the day, you're
- 1:09:29dealing with people that are probably mentally ill and they
- 1:09:32don't understand that the shit they're sharing on the Internet
- 1:09:35makes them look really weird. And I'm not actually trying to
- 1:09:39make people hurt them. And you see, I'm protective of
- 1:09:43Dave, right? I don't like when people.
- 1:09:45Mess with Dave I. Try to convince Dave to do
- 1:09:48positive things, and he hates me anyway.
- 1:09:50That's the joke, right? Yeah, No.
- 1:09:54You, you've been all of them, right?
- 1:09:56Like more like a. Uncle or something?
- 1:09:58Yeah, no, if I if I could actually.
- 1:10:00Interject with that. The thing with Dave's was the
- 1:10:03the thing with Dave specifically is yes, yes, we're pretty sure
- 1:10:07that Dave has schizophrenia. We still comment on his videos
- 1:10:13because like he puts himself out there, but also like if you go
- 1:10:18back and watch the money show, Max is usually like the first
- 1:10:22one to be like, hey, we haven't heard from Dave in a while.
- 1:10:24Can someone do like a Wellness check on him or well and that
- 1:10:27was the true last. Year is that Dave was not making
- 1:10:31videos for about 3 months and I was like there's something wrong
- 1:10:35because he's not making videos even though I don't watch all
- 1:10:38his videos. What would Dave for me?
- 1:10:41I don't watch Dave just on stream.
- 1:10:43I'm like what Dave puts out a new I'm a fan.
- 1:10:46I'm a legitimate fan of this man.
- 1:10:48Even if you watch him. Gordon Liddy is his channel on
- 1:10:52YouTube. I'm sure we can even link it.
- 1:10:53I give him credit. Dave's great if you can get past
- 1:10:57how abrasive he is, but I didn't see any new videos and I was
- 1:11:01like, something's wrong because he is compelled to post videos
- 1:11:05of nonsense every single day. And sure enough, when he did
- 1:11:08finally come back, he had been in a bad car accident and got a
- 1:11:12concussion from it and his car was totaled and yet somehow
- 1:11:18feeling bad for him like all that.
- 1:11:20And I was like Oh well thank God he's alive.
- 1:11:23Yet him being very upset about all of this in a video and
- 1:11:28yelling about it still makes me laugh.
- 1:11:31I I got to give. Dave credit though, too, because
- 1:11:34most people in his position would immediately use this as
- 1:11:38like AI, you know, as like a GoFundMe to like grift like you
- 1:11:44know like he would, but he's. Built his character to be
- 1:11:48incapable that's his thing he always tells people I'm old
- 1:11:52school I don't use any of the online stuff people date and and
- 1:11:56you know it's not just him trying to act like he doesn't
- 1:11:59care about money he does care a lot about money he says it all
- 1:12:02the time what it is is he's so committed to I'm old school I
- 1:12:06don't get cash app I don't have PayPal you send me money it's
- 1:12:13great like you can't fake that that's real it's.
- 1:12:18It's dumb. But it's real, and I guess
- 1:12:21that's what I like, yeah. Even if he.
- 1:12:26Yeah, even if he is. Like a real, you know,
- 1:12:29schizophrenic. Like originally it's yeah, it's
- 1:12:32great. And Dave won the Rizwar.
- 1:12:36Spoiler. Yes, I'm spoiling the.
- 1:12:38Episode that I told people to go see, but it doesn't matter, go
- 1:12:42watch it. Basically what it is is Dave and
- 1:12:44one of the other guys I look at I I compared their dating
- 1:12:49tactics from videos that they themselves post.
- 1:12:53And you were there, Mort was there.
- 1:12:56Shout out to chibi from sandwich makers and my wife Maxine were
- 1:12:59there and it was a grand old time.
- 1:13:01We laughed at these video. Dave, especially with Tina, Gina
- 1:13:05and Deena, Dinah and Debbie had rats jumping out of her hole and
- 1:13:12all this stuff is great. It's funny.
- 1:13:14Please, please watch that if you want to see what kind of comedy
- 1:13:17because that's peak for us. But you know, other times.
- 1:13:22I. I actually did one that was like
- 1:13:25we watched Charles Manson documentary to get it looking a
- 1:13:28different idea of that. Like I just try to be me and
- 1:13:34that's my. Art.
- 1:13:36Maybe I. Should write a book and I'll
- 1:13:38tell you what, I'll make a vow. Sam, I only come on this one
- 1:13:41time. Next time I come on the Monday
- 1:13:44show, I'm going to have a book of my own to promote.
- 1:13:49Interesting. It's going to be a children's
- 1:13:53book about what would my children's.
- 1:14:04Book be about. How not to be an idiot.
- 1:14:07That's pretty much Oh no, I could.
- 1:14:10Make a children. 'S book promoting bullying Like
- 1:14:13what? How to bully and why you should
- 1:14:15bully and make it a kids book. Well bully University.
- 1:14:20That that is your idea? Well, yeah, I have a lot of
- 1:14:23stuff for that too. That's The thing is I'm working
- 1:14:26on anything I think is funny right now.
- 1:14:28I got an album coming out that is literally Dave wrote every
- 1:14:32lyric. And then I used AI to bring Dave
- 1:14:37to life. And you'll be like, oh, that's
- 1:14:39cringe. Releasing an AI to album.
- 1:14:41Tell me about it. Tell me about it.
- 1:14:44That's why it's going to be a, a a second act of an album where I
- 1:14:49actually have several songs recorded where I use no AI at
- 1:14:52all. And I'm going to sing on it
- 1:14:54because imagine, imagine Sam putting an album out under your
- 1:14:58professional name. Like if I said Max and and you
- 1:15:01don't sing anywhere on it and you use AI, that would be pretty
- 1:15:04cringe though, right? Yeah, that would.
- 1:15:07Be very cringe. Especially if you have like a
- 1:15:09shore microphone in it. Never mind, Never mind.
- 1:15:11Anyway, that album's coming soon, and in fact, the title
- 1:15:15track Sam is almost ready to be released in conjunction with
- 1:15:20another project that we're working on.
- 1:15:22That's not funny at all, but I am super excited for that
- 1:15:26project is entitled American Inferno by the Famous best
- 1:15:31author I. Know.
- 1:15:33Sam Whitfield Well, you, well, you flatter.
- 1:15:37Me, Sir. And yeah, we've been.
- 1:15:41I've been promoing that too. So yeah.
- 1:15:46People of. Course can pre-order this book
- 1:15:50for Amazon Kindle and it should be a it will be out in print and
- 1:15:58e-book on on March 10th. So which is just a little over 2
- 1:16:04weeks away now at this point. And yeah, close, right?
- 1:16:09So kick offspring. Right with a new.
- 1:16:12Book dedicated to. Dedicated to Charlie Kirk, so
- 1:16:18also, yeah, and also. Apparently.
- 1:16:22Candace. Now see, unlike Candace Owens,
- 1:16:26this I'm not like this is a purely fictional book.
- 1:16:30But unlike Candace Owens, I'm not trying to make my fiction
- 1:16:33seem like it's the truth. So I am my fiction is true You.
- 1:16:41Saw how this show started. Obviously Maxi Sand is a is a
- 1:16:45complicated guy, but he's real Sam.
- 1:16:50Well, I mean. Your friend Maxi might need some
- 1:16:54help there, Max. I don't know.
- 1:16:56I don't know what to say, I said.
- 1:16:57I know a lot of crazy. Artists that guy.
- 1:16:59He gets a little wild one time 1.
- 1:17:05Time he got. Arrested for getting in a fight
- 1:17:11with. 6 feet deep the band. Yeah.
- 1:17:19Crazy guy, man. That'll happen, yeah.
- 1:17:22I would never do something like that.
- 1:17:25I wouldn't be friends with notorious famous bad musician.
- 1:17:32Well, not bad, but musicians that say awful things, I
- 1:17:35wouldn't do that. Not Max Maxi though, he crazy.
- 1:17:41Oh yeah. Totally.
- 1:17:43Yeah, that Maxi is is the same, but I mean our philosophy on.
- 1:17:48Comedy is weirdly similar is all I'm trying to say and people are
- 1:17:52often like not sure how much of the bit you're in on.
- 1:17:56That's why I wanted to use this as an opportunity to make jokes
- 1:18:00but also have this as like Sam makes some of the best jokes out
- 1:18:04of my jokes possible. If you guys think he's no I.
- 1:18:10So folks, for those who don't know, and it's pretty, it's,
- 1:18:15it's probably pretty obvious. I mean, I come from, I come from
- 1:18:19the newer McDonald's school of, you know, colony, which
- 1:18:23sometimes means I will deadpan. Although to be honest, I almost
- 1:18:30thought I almost lost when you said that you were the when you
- 1:18:34said that you were the the creator of the PlayStation
- 1:18:38Network, partly because partially because like, even if
- 1:18:44you were like, my first question was, well, why?
- 1:18:49Well, why then does it suck so bad?
- 1:18:52I know and imagine like. Saying like you created
- 1:18:55something like that that everybody bitches about.
- 1:18:58It'd be like saying oh I invented Discord or oh I'm the
- 1:19:02guy that made Xbox Game pass right?
- 1:19:05See it like that is so funny to be Internet.
- 1:19:08That's what the comedy I like the most is Internet people with
- 1:19:12no self-awareness at all. Sometimes it's awesome, right?
- 1:19:15Dave is awesome for that reason. Other times it's the they are
- 1:19:20great because like they do that bit I was doing at the beginning
- 1:19:24where they're like, I'm the best ever.
- 1:19:26Don't say otherwise. You're accusing.
- 1:19:28You know, they're they're so paranoid.
- 1:19:30If you get paranoid over what people on the Internet say about
- 1:19:33you, the best advice I could give somebody like that is to
- 1:19:37you probably should stop putting it out there and maybe log off.
- 1:19:42But if you don't, I have a show called Cringe Coffee House,
- 1:19:46which is I guess my biggest promo where you might end up in
- 1:19:49it. But also we do funner stuff too.
- 1:19:53On the side. My wife's been doing the
- 1:19:54sandwich makers and Seat It Sam. That is a whole different side
- 1:19:59of my art because we play the music that I made and she just
- 1:20:02does literal crafts and art. She's been doing diamond
- 1:20:05painting. We've been playing VR video
- 1:20:09games. It's been a lot of fun.
- 1:20:10It's very casual. And of course.
- 1:20:14Every Wednesday night for how many years now?
- 1:20:173-4, something like that. Yeah, I join Mr. Whitfield here.
- 1:20:22The pure innocent doesn't understand any comedy that's
- 1:20:26going on around him, and I made taking.
- 1:20:28This is my favorite one. Recently, a friend of the show
- 1:20:31Merch suggested that people might be taking advantage of Sam
- 1:20:36because he doesn't understand because Sam.
- 1:20:41Those people are have your best interests.
- 1:20:43In mind because they think you're stupid and me, I'm
- 1:20:48abusive because I know that you're smarter than me.
- 1:20:54Yeah, yeah, the same guy who? Spurred out and said I went on a
- 1:20:59whole rant about how I was nice to you while screaming all of
- 1:21:03these epithets. I mean, yeah, he's clearly
- 1:21:06concerned about me. Yeah.
- 1:21:09So he's concerned about how I take advantage.
- 1:21:12By saying all these jokes that you don't understand.
- 1:21:15By the way, Birch, if you really.
- 1:21:17Feel that way? DM me, yeah, you know, talk to
- 1:21:22a. That that's the.
- 1:21:23Other thing. Is I find these people so funny,
- 1:21:26but we host just two. Well, you host 2 shows and then
- 1:21:30I host two. I'm on 2 and then we have more
- 1:21:34and we are very capable of streaming at any given time
- 1:21:37pretty much as long as our, you know, we have lives.
- 1:21:41So it's not like that. But we can set up a stream and
- 1:21:44talk to pretty much anybody. We love to talk and then the
- 1:21:48people. Like, say, the worst.
- 1:21:50Stuff are always like, I would talk to you, that'd give you
- 1:21:53power and it's like, no, we have power because people like to
- 1:21:58listen to us. And when you learn that, maybe
- 1:22:01you can come join us and have some fun.
- 1:22:05The other big lesson? I've learned in comedy.
- 1:22:07On the Internet, Sam, make friends.
- 1:22:10With people and be nice. Yeah.
- 1:22:15Although to be. Fair, I did.
- 1:22:17Bully some Canadians this weekend, but they you have to be
- 1:22:21nice to everybody. I didn't say make friends with
- 1:22:24everybody but make friends and be nice and then when you think
- 1:22:32the stalkers are after you, your homies would be like bro they
- 1:22:36being a little paranoid. No, it's just one weirdo on the
- 1:22:39Internet or like then instead of that you're like, there is some
- 1:22:43guy on the Internet talking bad about me.
- 1:22:46They'll all be like, oh shit, let's make fun of him and things
- 1:22:49like that, right? It's really good to like talk,
- 1:22:53especially if you're an artist of any kind of creator,
- 1:22:55especially writer, visual arts, whatever, to talk to the other
- 1:23:02other creatives and particularly maybe talk about being creative.
- 1:23:06Talk about your craft that well, that's what I do that's.
- 1:23:10What I do every day with people and also like that, like that's
- 1:23:14how you navigate the business too, is like, you know how what,
- 1:23:18because you're an OG Sam. Yeah.
- 1:23:22Well, I mean, hey, it's, it's, it's a, it's a changing world
- 1:23:26and it's a, it's a changing, you know, Connie, I've told people
- 1:23:31to like whether whether you like AI or not.
- 1:23:35And I certainly think there are some, you know, negatives for
- 1:23:39sure. I think there are are positives.
- 1:23:41And I think people need to learn how to utilize the tools
- 1:23:45probably. And hey, if you don't like it,
- 1:23:48maybe write, maybe write your congressman and say, hey, I have
- 1:23:51I have these issues. So, well, I would immediately
- 1:23:55point. To I think that Emily Yuccas the
- 1:23:58Will Stancil show is one of the most.
- 1:24:02It's very funny, but more than that, it's remarkable.
- 1:24:05She made an entire show using AI that works.
- 1:24:10This is something I find very, very awesome.
- 1:24:14And Emily is another one of those people I would directly
- 1:24:17cite as an influence of mine and to see her evolve in use AI.
- 1:24:23For those that are unaware, Emily Yukas is most famous for
- 1:24:25being an animator. Yeah.
- 1:24:30Alf, Alfred. Alfred.
- 1:24:31Alfred is her. Now I have and I say that's not
- 1:24:57good enough. She's like that's.
- 1:24:58Exactly what executives at these animation companies are doing
- 1:25:01anyway. With real labor, yeah.
- 1:25:05We'll say, we'll say even with like the cover I was, you know,
- 1:25:09the I've, you know, the last few covers I've developed like you
- 1:25:12could tell an artist on Commission.
- 1:25:15Hey, I would like a cover that sort of looks like this.
- 1:25:18And then you have to wait for them to do it and you have to
- 1:25:20say, do I like that or not? And the problem with the with
- 1:25:24using real labor that sometimes people might find is that if you
- 1:25:28were to do it that way, it takes way longer.
- 1:25:32And then when you do get the Commission, if it's not what you
- 1:25:35want, you actually could feel bad about that because a real
- 1:25:39person sat there and made it. Yeah.
- 1:25:41And also. When I, when I started, when I
- 1:25:44started, when I started, you know, writing the book
- 1:25:48seriously, I, most of the cover artists were like $500 to start.
- 1:25:59You know, anyone who has, you know who has just graduated from
- 1:26:03college knows sometimes you don't have $50.00, let alone
- 1:26:08$500, right? It's, you know, it's easy.
- 1:26:15It's not Even so much easy, but it's more cost effective to
- 1:26:17maybe and even if you have that money in your pocket.
- 1:26:21You might not necessarily have it in your budget for promo and
- 1:26:24work on your book right and also.
- 1:26:27Most especially. In the author scene that you're
- 1:26:30most familiar with these days, these guys, the bulk.
- 1:26:33Of what they do. Is A1 man job essentially, Yeah.
- 1:26:37So then actually Eric Bishop, I remember talking about this with
- 1:26:42him when he was on the live show not that long ago about how
- 1:26:45it's. Yeah, you're taking up the job
- 1:26:46of a publisher and the promo guy and the manager and da, da, da,
- 1:26:53da, da. And it does it.
- 1:26:54It is so when you can makes something a little easier, it's
- 1:26:58very appealing and I feel like a lot of the AI hate people are
- 1:27:03going to lose because of that. Yeah, the.
- 1:27:06Yeah, there, there are. Yeah.
- 1:27:08And I mean, I get people, whenever you feel about that,
- 1:27:11They, they, I'm. Just stating, I think that's
- 1:27:12what's going to happen. Yeah, no.
- 1:27:15And I I. Completely.
- 1:27:16I completely agree. And yeah, I certainly, I
- 1:27:19certainly understand people's concerns about AI in regards to
- 1:27:23like, you know, cyber security, national security and all that.
- 1:27:27But but that's something that I, as Sam Woodfield and author, I
- 1:27:32have no, you know, we're talking about generative AI.
- 1:27:36Specifically I guess if people want a nitpick, but yeah, not
- 1:27:40all AI is what? We're we're like even.
- 1:27:42Related to what we're talking about people using it for as
- 1:27:45artists and in the scene of being an artist of any kind
- 1:27:49right now, generative AI is the hot topic.
- 1:27:52It is, yeah. And you're either.
- 1:27:55On the side of. I hate it or I hate it, but I
- 1:27:59have to use it. I don't see too many people that
- 1:28:02are like I love it like but Emily Yuccas is 1 and when one
- 1:28:06of my most first of all. Another thing you might know
- 1:28:09about Emily Yuccas, or if you don't, you'll find out very
- 1:28:11quickly is she is unapologetic and has never sold out in her
- 1:28:15damn life, right? And she says.
- 1:28:18AI is not worth. Throwing out with the baby, with
- 1:28:20the bathwater. I want to listen.
- 1:28:22No, she, She and I. She and I.
- 1:28:24Take the same approach to AI, which is I don't see AI as like
- 1:28:30AI don't like, I don't like AI slot when it's, you know, when
- 1:28:34it's like clearly done poorly. But when you use AI as a tool
- 1:28:38set, as I have and as my friend Jake Widmer has, you know, for
- 1:28:44some stuff, when you when you use it as a tool set, it's no
- 1:28:48different than using like, you know, an expensive like graphic
- 1:28:52design tablet, you know, to do something or you know, like or
- 1:28:57to use like so many different levels of using.
- 1:29:00AI now that it even just saying using AI doesn't tell a story,
- 1:29:04no. So for example.
- 1:29:09I can animate fully or I could make a song with AI, right?
- 1:29:14But here's 1 is in some of the modern music programs.
- 1:29:18Instead of doing that, hey, I'm going to type in some lyrics and
- 1:29:21you make me a song like Sona AI or whatever.
- 1:29:25The more modern music software will use AI to clean up your
- 1:29:31arrangement at the click of a button.
- 1:29:34Is that making an AI song? Not really, because all it's
- 1:29:38doing is moving things an inch. Here or another one.
- 1:29:42We have been forced, right, Sam, to to do captions on screen
- 1:29:48during your shorts. They tell you to do that.
- 1:29:51It's an explicit, like you must put captions on your short,
- 1:29:55right? Yeah, well.
- 1:29:58Because I have to do. That the easiest way to do that
- 1:30:00is to use canvas AI thing and do it and I'm sorry, yes, in that
- 1:30:06sense, our shorts are made with AI, but all the content that we
- 1:30:10make is usually just me and Sam talking.
- 1:30:12There can't be AI. Yeah, well, even even.
- 1:30:15Riverside, which is what we're recording on right now.
- 1:30:18Like they, they make, you know, they, they automatically do
- 1:30:22shorts. They, it scrubs through the
- 1:30:26episode. And if you're out there running
- 1:30:29your Windows XP. Computer making everything
- 1:30:32offline with no AI and posting it yourself.
- 1:30:36Respect. But if you're in the modern
- 1:30:38economy, all the tools have AI in them now whether you want it
- 1:30:41or not. Yeah.
- 1:30:44I mean respect if. You're in the old school, but
- 1:30:46you might get left. You know you're going to get
- 1:30:49left behind if you have already. That's just the sort of
- 1:30:52selecting yourself out of the gene.
- 1:30:54Pool in many ways. I won't use any tool that has AI
- 1:30:58in it. You're eventually going to say I
- 1:31:00won't use any tool now. Yeah, is that part of the
- 1:31:05problem? Is it that all these
- 1:31:06corporations want to put AI in everything?
- 1:31:07Yes. But like that's not in our
- 1:31:09control. We're just commenting on if you
- 1:31:12say I can't use anything with AI in it, you are eventually got
- 1:31:15not going to not be able to do anything.
- 1:31:18That's just true. Yeah, now, now to be.
- 1:31:21Fair. I do think that there are that.
- 1:31:24I think right now we are living kind of threat in a bubble, but
- 1:31:27eventually it is going to. It's already starting to crack I
- 1:31:31think. Yeah, it is.
- 1:31:32Well, it is going to it. Is going to crack a little bit
- 1:31:35and part of the reason for that, honestly.
- 1:31:38Too, I think. Is because I think and I don't
- 1:31:43want to pin it on anyone company, but yeah, Microsoft, I
- 1:31:48I think baking and copilot at the root level of Windows 11 has
- 1:31:53kind of like turned a lot of people off other things.
- 1:31:59Yeah, Google putting. It right in the search, so the
- 1:32:01first thing you always get it now is an AI summary.
- 1:32:05Yeah. A lot of people don't like how
- 1:32:06intrusive it is, even if they like AI.
- 1:32:10Yeah. Which is one thing I will say
- 1:32:13for grok, it's not. It's not intrusive unless you
- 1:32:16like trigger it specifically to to do your thing.
- 1:32:23Although another thing I've learned Sam since.
- 1:32:25We've been the auto dubs is one, that the Spanish version of your
- 1:32:31voice sounds like the coolest Mexican sidekick I could ever
- 1:32:36have. And two, there's an audience for
- 1:32:41us in Spanish. Apparently they think we're very
- 1:32:43funny. Yeah, also we have.
- 1:32:46JAJAJ. A stuff so I know, yeah.
- 1:32:55We also have an. Apparently we.
- 1:32:56Also have an audience in Germany, so I don't know what
- 1:33:00that's about. Based.
- 1:33:04So yeah. We're having.
- 1:33:06I'm having a lot of fun with it. Every week I try and bring
- 1:33:10something fresh to your show. It doesn't always land, but
- 1:33:14that's how comedy be. And you are on fire with writing
- 1:33:19these books like an American Inferno.
- 1:33:22Yeah. Which I, I guess I should point
- 1:33:27out well, and, and thank you for that.
- 1:33:29I guess I should point out too what the the the premise kind
- 1:33:33behind that title is, is when all of those riots going on
- 1:33:38during 2020, I was like, man, America is literally burning and
- 1:33:42this is a bit concerning. So yeah, it's not burning now.
- 1:33:48It's just. We got a lot of weird men in
- 1:33:50dresses committing violence that that we'll figure that out.
- 1:33:53Maybe. So your next one is like, what?
- 1:33:55American Trans. No, it's more, well, it's more
- 1:34:01like a the next one after this is more like American Grifter,
- 1:34:05so that's good too. So there.
- 1:34:10Will be more books. There will be more.
- 1:34:11Authors on this Monday show, I'm giving you a little break.
- 1:34:15But I mean, yeah, I want to point out, I always point out on
- 1:34:19the live show, but I want to point out the work you've been
- 1:34:21doing with this Monday show is some of my favorite stuff on the
- 1:34:24Internet, Sam, and you are a gem.
- 1:34:27Thank you. And it's it's been an honor to
- 1:34:30have you as my sidekick. And yeah, having you having you
- 1:34:33as Co host has been fun for the last, you know, it doesn't feel
- 1:34:38like it feels longer than it feels like a decade at this
- 1:34:41point, huh? Yeah, but.
- 1:34:44As, as our as our good friend Evan from the Fake on night
- 1:34:48podcast says, every week is a million years and boy is is that
- 1:34:52true. There is and.
- 1:34:55We have. Always.
- 1:34:57Approached it with the level of Oh my God, I mean, even the
- 1:35:00Charlie Kirk one when that happened, we were that we we
- 1:35:04live reacted to that. That was probably the saddest
- 1:35:06episode we've ever done. But generally we come with good
- 1:35:10spirits, positive attitudes. We don't really like doomerism.
- 1:35:14We're, I have said, and you've agreed with me, we're very
- 1:35:18openly counter revolutionary because we love our country and
- 1:35:23sometimes that upsets people. I do.
- 1:35:25I do have a question. I do have a question about that
- 1:35:28for the kind of your kind of your theory.
- 1:35:31Someone asked me about this recently and I actually don't.
- 1:35:34Why does the why does the doomer stuff trend so much on online?
- 1:35:40Like it feels like we're to me. We're wired.
- 1:35:43I actually went over this in my Rewiring the Brain video.
- 1:35:47That was didn't do particularly well a couple years ago.
- 1:35:50But we are wired psychologically to spend more focus on the
- 1:35:54negatives than the positives. And the reason for that is the
- 1:35:59evidence that there is a tiger in the trees is more important
- 1:36:04than the evidence that everything is OK to the
- 1:36:07primitive brain. I I understand.
- 1:36:11That, but Even so it does if you use that as a tool of.
- 1:36:16Marketing you would give a non-stop feed of negativity,
- 1:36:20right? I understand that.
- 1:36:22But even but even if. But even if I Google something
- 1:36:25like, or even if I go on YouTube and search something positive
- 1:36:29like like cooking videos, because that's me, I search a
- 1:36:34lot, right? I still get a bunch of negative
- 1:36:38videos. That is like, you know, I mean
- 1:36:42step one or. Two of the the communist
- 1:36:45propaganda machine is demoralized.
- 1:36:48That's what they're trying to do.
- 1:36:49Yeah. Constantly bombarded with
- 1:36:52negative opinions and ideas and things that tell you that you're
- 1:36:57bad, which is the, this is the whole basis of cancel culture
- 1:37:00really. And the whole like woke thing.
- 1:37:03If they can come a barge you with messaging telling you
- 1:37:06you're bad, there's a chance you'll believe it.
- 1:37:09And then they could just get you to do what they want.
- 1:37:13Well, yeah. And it's, you've got to see.
- 1:37:15The the person in 19. The 1984 famous video that
- 1:37:19throws the fucking sledgehammer at the screen.
- 1:37:21Sometimes you just do. Otherwise you're going to be
- 1:37:24another mindless NPC sitting there watching the screen
- 1:37:29thinking this is great. Yeah, well, and.
- 1:37:32That's my ethos anyway. Well.
- 1:37:34And the really the really sad. Thing is too is it seems like a
- 1:37:38lot of even quote, UN quote, right wing people are buying
- 1:37:41into this whole thing, which I'm sure we'll talk on on Wednesday.
- 1:37:48But like, you know, Tucker, Tucker Carlson was like
- 1:37:53screaming out being detained by Israel, even though he got like,
- 1:37:57you know, like a pat on the head and like took photos with the,
- 1:38:03you know, Israeli guard. But then he he didn't, he didn't
- 1:38:08say anything about like the USA winning the Olympics, which was
- 1:38:12a huge, I'm sure we'll talk about that.
- 1:38:15On Wednesday, but like that. Was that was that was a huge
- 1:38:18moment for the US, I've always said, and I feel like this.
- 1:38:22Isn't even political, but apparently it is.
- 1:38:26I love my country, even if I hate the people in charge.
- 1:38:31Yeah. Another one is.
- 1:38:34I've had I've had a couple little speeches of the few weeks
- 1:38:37that I felt like we're sort of my Huey Freeman moment, if from
- 1:38:41boondocks, you know where he goes to the garden barn at party
- 1:38:44and he's like Richard Nixon is Jesus is black, Richard Nixon is
- 1:38:49the devil and 911 was an inside job.
- 1:38:52Thank you for your time. And then all the white people
- 1:38:54freak out. I feel like that was my gaze
- 1:38:58back in the closet thing. That was like my Archie Bunker
- 1:39:00deal and women in the kitchen. And yeah, the interesting thing
- 1:39:07with with all of this is wouldn't it be fun?
- 1:39:11We added all the the the second languages and some other like
- 1:39:15cultures have been watching our videos and finding them funny.
- 1:39:18I would love to add the auto dub for Yiddish to our channel.
- 1:39:22That would be great. Like, we could just just have
- 1:39:24everything we say translated into Yiddish.
- 1:39:28It would be so funny because the Jew haters would be like, see,
- 1:39:33there is really. Yeah.
- 1:39:36Well, I, you know, I'm sure like I.
- 1:39:40Would you go to Israel, Sam? I would 100% go to Israel
- 1:39:44because that's the Holy Land. What, are you not Catholic?
- 1:39:47Well, you're not, But like I am, I'll go to the Holy Land.
- 1:39:50Are you kidding me? I mean.
- 1:39:52I mean, I Yeah, should. Probably do that in your life
- 1:39:55kind. Of thing, right?
- 1:39:56Yeah. I mean, I mean every.
- 1:39:57I mean every. Christian that I know like,
- 1:39:59yeah, that's a which I mean, yeah, all the all these all
- 1:40:05these people who all these gripers who used to quote UN
- 1:40:09quote, love Mel Gibson now hate him because he's going over to
- 1:40:14Israel and doing stuff. So they loved him because.
- 1:40:18He was a Catholic man and now they hate him because he's a
- 1:40:21Catholic man. Yes, interesting.
- 1:40:25And because. They and because they haven't.
- 1:40:27Even and because in all reality, they're all they're all 20
- 1:40:30something and they haven't actually watched any interviews
- 1:40:33that he's done over the past, you know, 40 years.
- 1:40:40So they're not actual fans like we defend.
- 1:40:43Him because we know better. They defend him because it's
- 1:40:46contrarian to do so. And when it became popular to
- 1:40:49defend him again, now they're going to hate him.
- 1:40:51This is a lot of the Internet, right?
- 1:40:53Is that whatever most people seem to think is true?
- 1:40:56I have to say the opposite because I'm so cool.
- 1:40:59I'm cooler than everybody. Yeah.
- 1:41:01Thanks for the hot take. Huh?
- 1:41:04And then they tune into our show and our hot takes are like the
- 1:41:08exact opposite. Of that every time.
- 1:41:11Yeah. And and they are like that, but
- 1:41:14it's because I'm saying. Something so like I'm talking
- 1:41:18about lizard men and Andromedans.
- 1:41:21It just gets so ridiculous. Which is, which is.
- 1:41:25Also, which is. Also part of the of the I don't
- 1:41:29I don't think a lot of people get that when that when Max and
- 1:41:33I start like spurging on it like Ozard men and robot people.
- 1:41:37We're mocking the insanity of or just commonly online Internet.
- 1:41:43It's not. It's not even necessarily.
- 1:41:45A mockery man, back in the old days you go on YouTube and
- 1:41:49there's like 8000 alien Bigfoot documentaries, right and that
- 1:41:53you don't even have and yeah no, I don't believe in any of the
- 1:41:56fucking theories I'm seeing but man are they fun to watch the.
- 1:42:01The funny, The funniest thing? Is like is flat?
- 1:42:04Is the people who still believe in Flat Earth people?
- 1:42:11And I saw, I saw a meme over. The weekend birds aren't real.
- 1:42:15Well, I'll have to send. You, I'll have to send you a odd
- 1:42:19to the new meal I saw this weekend.
- 1:42:22It was like Earthers when they find out every single conspiracy
- 1:42:27theory was right except for theirs.
- 1:42:32So. That is a little shot if ever
- 1:42:35I've heard. One Sam.
- 1:42:37Wow. Yeah.
- 1:42:38Every conspiracy except yours is true.
- 1:42:40Oof. Yeah.
- 1:42:43So there's still hope for Bigfoot?
- 1:42:46You know well, I. Hear, I hear.
- 1:42:50Bigfoot was. I hear Bigfoot is in the Epstein
- 1:42:55files. He better be.
- 1:42:58Or if he's not in the Epstein files, he's not real.
- 1:43:01Sam, come on. Well.
- 1:43:04According to according to like the royal family, if you if you
- 1:43:08weren't in the Epstein files, you're not like you're a nobody,
- 1:43:11you're not you're not cool enough Max.
- 1:43:15Does anybody get big club and we ain't in it and.
- 1:43:18Man, am I glad about that because I don't eat babies.
- 1:43:21They give me indigestion, Sam. I don't.
- 1:43:26I don't. I don't eat babies either.
- 1:43:28So well, I heard. That you they subsist on nothing
- 1:43:35but a Sam stem cells that you suck directly out of them like
- 1:43:41like a vampire bat. Well then, how do you stay so
- 1:43:48fucking young? And handsome Sam, because.
- 1:43:53Because I because I eat my I was going to say I eat my
- 1:43:57vegetables, but that's that's a lie.
- 1:44:00No IA lot of protein. That'll do it.
- 1:44:05That'll do it, ladies. Indeed.
- 1:44:10Anyway, this has been. A lot of fun people get a
- 1:44:13double. Dose of our nonsense this week.
- 1:44:16Hopefully we brought something more similar to the like I tried
- 1:44:19to be, yeah, to make this about art because your Monday show is
- 1:44:22usually about art creation and things like that.
- 1:44:26And so I hope that they appreciate that.
- 1:44:28And I will be back with Not here next week because you'll have
- 1:44:32somebody awesome to talk to. And yeah, I will be.
- 1:44:35Back in my place. Staying in my lane as Co host on
- 1:44:39the Whitfield Report live this Wednesday night.
- 1:44:42Yes, and be sure to. Subscribe on YouTube and on
- 1:44:46Rumble and kick and all the other places.
- 1:44:51So also join because people have asked Join our discord, which is
- 1:44:59linked because you know it does. That's I want to address.
- 1:45:05That real quick, that's an important one maybe we should
- 1:45:07talk about. There is no plans to delete our
- 1:45:10discord or anything like that. If discord asks you for your ID,
- 1:45:14my recommendation is to tell them no.
- 1:45:18And if if nobody's using our. Discord we will find something
- 1:45:21else, but for right now there's a lot of people that are
- 1:45:24wondering oh is so and so going to be on discord right now We
- 1:45:27were exploring other options, but our discord is not going
- 1:45:30anywhere tomorrow right and then well.
- 1:45:33And it all seems like Discord maybe maybe backing off some of
- 1:45:38the stuff due to public backlash, which is which is
- 1:45:42good. And that's, and that's what I've
- 1:45:44been encouraging people to do is to speak out and it seems like
- 1:45:47they've been doing just that. So you know, if it goes that
- 1:45:51way, we. Will absolutely figure out where
- 1:45:53the people want us to be and we'll be there.
- 1:45:57It's always I will say this, Sam, this last year has been
- 1:46:00kind of very heartening for us all to just watch.
- 1:46:04Yeah, people are appreciating what we're doing and we're
- 1:46:07infinitely grateful for that Every book sold, every stream
- 1:46:10click. We actually do appreciate that
- 1:46:12yeah. And it's, it's great to be.
- 1:46:14Back on. It's great to be back on YouTube
- 1:46:16too. So yeah.
- 1:46:20So thanks for tuning everyone and we will see.
- 1:46:23We will both see you on the Wednesday show and until then,
- 1:46:28take care and God bless everyone, God Bless America.
- 1:46:45The right to offend is. Not some pesky little part of
- 1:46:49freedom of speech that we have to put up with.
- 1:46:51It is the heart and soul and lungs of freedom of speech.
- 1:46:55It is the coursing lifeblood of human progress.
- 1:46:59It is the instigator of liberty and modernity and science and
- 1:47:03understanding what a laughing stock today's student leaders
- 1:47:08are that they can so casually dismiss the right to be
- 1:47:11offensive without realizing that their lovely, enlightened lives
- 1:47:16are the gifts of individuals who gave offence.
- 1:47:20Offensiveness is. Not just something.
- 1:47:22We have to begrudgingly accept offensiveness is the.
- 1:47:26Motor. Of human progress.
- 1:47:29Thank you for watching the. Whitfield Report.
