- 0:00Speaker 1: With Stu Gotts and Hawkman.
- 0:02Speaker 2: So with the podcast Who Got Sometimes I try to
- 0:06Speaker 2: do stuff where sometimes just randomly I'll find an old
- 0:09Speaker 2: bit and say, hey, let's play that.
- 0:11Speaker 3: We'll have some fun.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Other times I try to wrap it around, you know,
- 0:14Speaker 2: whatever's going on in the world.
- 0:17Speaker 3: There's a couple of things.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Going on that affect sports fans greatly, World Cup obviously,
- 0:23Speaker 2: and then you and Taylor the New York Knicks NBA champions.
- 0:28Speaker 2: So I went in the Levatard Show archives to see
- 0:33Speaker 2: what I could find that related to soccer or the
- 0:37Speaker 2: New York Knicks.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I came up woefully short. Well for good reason. Well,
- 0:45Speaker 3: I don't think we talked much soccer back in the day.
- 0:47Speaker 3: For sure.
- 0:48Speaker 2: When I was involved in the show was what four
- 0:52Speaker 2: to like twenty twelve, So I don't think we talked
- 0:55Speaker 2: much soccer at all.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Right, they gave us no reason to talk about soccer,
- 1:00Speaker 4: therefore we did not talk soccer. All I did was
- 1:02Speaker 4: blast soccer for many, many years, and of course the
- 1:06Speaker 4: Knicks gave us nothing to talk about other than Dan
- 1:08Speaker 4: just making fun of the Knicks and how lousy they
- 1:10Speaker 4: were for two decades.
- 1:11Speaker 3: That's it.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Are you on top of the world. I know, Taylor
- 1:14Speaker 2: is are you on top of the world with the Knicks?
- 1:17Speaker 2: It's pretty cool. We were laughing right before we started
- 1:20Speaker 2: this episode that it's.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Nice for a change to see.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Hey, what do other teams have to do in the
- 1:26Speaker 4: off season to keep pace with the New York Knicks.
- 1:29Speaker 3: I mean I love it. Yes, so yes, to answer
- 1:31Speaker 3: your question, I'm on top of the world.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yees.
- 1:33Speaker 3: It doesn't even feel right.
- 1:34Speaker 2: So your Taylor was telling me before the podcast started,
- 1:37Speaker 2: like you're just buying everything. Anything you see Knicks championship
- 1:40Speaker 2: related ends up in the cart.
- 1:43Speaker 5: Right now, Hawk, I'm buying championship socks. I'm looking at
- 1:47Speaker 5: him like, why would I ever need a socks with
- 1:49Speaker 5: the Larry O'Brien trump.
- 1:50Speaker 6: You never know.
- 1:51Speaker 5: But I'm a champion for the rest of my life,
- 1:53Speaker 5: and everybody knows one title in New York equals five
- 1:56Speaker 5: titles anywhere else. So Jalen Brunson now has five rings
- 1:59Speaker 5: to Dwayne Waits three.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Hocke you will love this.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Ariel Hawani was on with us after every single nixt
- 2:05Speaker 4: win during the NBA Finals, and after they won, he said,
- 2:08Speaker 4: he's just on his phone and he's buying anything that
- 2:10Speaker 4: he can buy, including some sort of Nick Snoopy collaboration
- 2:14Speaker 4: that he definitely doesn't need.
- 2:16Speaker 2: He's going to regret it once it lands at his house.
- 2:18Speaker 2: He did, he got it. He regretted it, but he
- 2:21Speaker 2: got everything. He just he spent thousands of dollars on
- 2:24Speaker 2: Knick's merchandise. You guys talk amongst yourselves. I have a
- 2:28Speaker 2: socks story. I'm going to go right next door here
- 2:30Speaker 2: and get a pair of stocks that I accident. They
- 2:33Speaker 2: accidentally in kind of the heat of the moment, the
- 2:36Speaker 2: championship moment that you're feeling, I bought a pair of socks. Now,
- 2:40Speaker 2: admittedly I was on Ambient, Yeah, and I did not
- 2:44Speaker 2: remember till the socks arrived about a week later that
- 2:47Speaker 2: I had actually purchased these things. Really, and much like you,
- 2:50Speaker 2: I think I had some moments where I said, when
- 2:53Speaker 2: am I ever going to wear these?
- 2:54Speaker 3: When am I ever going to need these?
- 2:57Speaker 5: You still take Ambien?
- 2:57Speaker 3: You used to say you hate Ambient. No, Stu Gott
- 3:01Speaker 3: said that I said I hated Ambien. Well he did.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I mean no, I didn't know I'd taken Ambien for
- 3:07Speaker 3: twenty years.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I don't think I've missed a night of ambient for
- 3:10Speaker 2: twenty years. Right, so these are heat socks or I mean, no,
- 3:14Speaker 2: gonna go get them, gonna show you talked about Straff.
- 3:16Speaker 3: We're gonna be back in thirty seconds.
- 3:17Speaker 4: And take your time. I mean we could fill thirty seconds.
- 3:20Speaker 4: I think even on Father's Day Sunday, He's going to
- 3:22Speaker 4: get a pair of socks. Right now, Taylor, I have
- 3:24Speaker 4: no idea. What do you imagine? So he said in
- 3:26Speaker 4: the midst of a championship, Right.
- 3:29Speaker 5: My guess is inner Miami. Like, think about who's been
- 3:33Speaker 5: winning down in South Florida recently. It hasn't been too many.
- 3:36Speaker 5: It's either gonna be Miami Hurricane Final four socks.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Oh, I know, Florida Panther socks. He has panther socks.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Actually, there has been a lot of winning in South Florida.
- 3:46Speaker 7: Now.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Well, he loves the Panthers, back to back Stanley Cups.
- 3:50Speaker 4: He loves socks, He loves ambient and so and he
- 3:54Speaker 4: does so. He loves ordering things on Ambien because he
- 3:57Speaker 4: doesn't remember what it is he ordered. I love getting
- 4:00Speaker 4: something where I don't remember that I ordered it, even
- 4:03Speaker 4: if it's a lousy thing. I'm like, uh, I ordered this, Huh.
- 4:07Speaker 2: One of the things on ambient is like, you know,
- 4:09Speaker 2: a lot of people talk about how they eat late
- 4:12Speaker 2: at night on ambient or whatever, but I do do
- 4:15Speaker 2: online shopping on ambient. It's just if I get past
- 4:19Speaker 2: the zone of falling asleep. So I am the pro
- 4:23Speaker 2: taking it if you get past the zone of falling asleep.
- 4:26Speaker 2: I am the proud owner of a pair of doctor
- 4:28Speaker 2: Anthony Fauci socks. Wow, special, those are special. Oh my god,
- 4:35Speaker 2: I mean, geez, these are really special, great looking socks. Yeah,
- 4:40Speaker 2: I see, Taylor cannot contain himself. Sure what am I gonna.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Do with these os? With Fauci socks?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 4:49Speaker 3: Hell, let me see those things. There's sharp socks. It
- 4:52Speaker 3: doesn't even look like Fauci. I mean talking about how
- 4:55Speaker 3: dare you? That's aculas.
- 4:57Speaker 5: You could have given us forty thousand guests is together
- 5:00Speaker 5: was going to be on the seven and we would
- 5:02Speaker 5: have never landed on Fauci socks.
- 5:04Speaker 4: My last dress before you came back were Florida panther socks.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I mean that is correct. How about that Doctor Anthony
- 5:10Speaker 2: Fauci socks. I might be the only owner of a
- 5:13Speaker 2: pair of these.
- 5:13Speaker 4: And listen at the height of covid man. That guy
- 5:16Speaker 4: was Michael Jordan.
- 5:17Speaker 2: He was the Knicks, he was the next he was
- 5:20Speaker 2: he was the surprise champion.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah, he was doctor Jay.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Essentially, it was like some people thought doctor Sarah Burks
- 5:27Speaker 2: was going to be the champion, and you know, it
- 5:29Speaker 2: was like picking Wemby in the finals. But I ended
- 5:31Speaker 2: up being Fauci. But I always think the trophy at
- 5:34Speaker 2: the end. Nobody d m me any political bullshit. The
- 5:38Speaker 2: story was for Fauci socks. All right, if you can't
- 5:41Speaker 2: enjoy the human affair of doctor Fauci socks, keep the
- 5:44Speaker 2: keep your comments to yourself. I would like to give
- 5:46Speaker 2: those away on the show. Would you be willing to
- 5:48Speaker 2: give those away the show? Yes, I absolutely would, but
- 5:52Speaker 2: it would have to be.
- 5:52Speaker 3: A huge contest. People would have to show up in
- 5:55Speaker 3: person somewhere. Yes, you don't. Just you don't get on will.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Your Fauci socks. It's not some text to win contest.
- 6:04Speaker 2: This is a fifty dollars ticket at at Funky Buddha
- 6:09Speaker 2: and you have a chance that.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Now that I'm thinking about it, it seems like a
- 6:14Speaker 4: great clothing line Fauci.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Anyway, So I was looking for stuff that was new
- 6:23Speaker 2: York Knicks or soccer World Cup related.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I found only one thing soccer related. Now.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I know that we interviewed Andre's Kantor a couple of times,
- 6:34Speaker 2: but there was nothing like you know, we had him
- 6:35Speaker 2: do goal calls.
- 6:36Speaker 3: But here's one of the things.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Do you remember we were fascinated by gold calls.
- 6:41Speaker 3: There was a gold call.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I don't even have it, but it was a It
- 6:46Speaker 2: was a soccer announcer and he sang the song Gloria,
- 6:51Speaker 2: Gloria Glory.
- 6:53Speaker 3: He did it to a goal call. We were fascinated
- 6:56Speaker 3: by it.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Yes, I love good soccer goal calls because goals happened
- 7:00Speaker 4: so and frequently in that sport that you know the
- 7:01Speaker 4: announcer is going to give you a good one.
- 7:03Speaker 3: You know you're not going to do soccer hate during
- 7:05Speaker 3: this World Cup?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Are you?
- 7:07Speaker 3: That we advanced out of the group stage. I can't
- 7:09Speaker 3: do that.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I mean we used to do on the show golf hate.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I mean we used to talk about how golf is
- 7:16Speaker 2: not a sport. And I've done a complete one eight
- 7:18Speaker 2: on that. I've done a complete one eight on soccer.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Really.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Yeah, Oh I love soccer now.
- 7:25Speaker 2: When Messi got here, I tried to become a sponge
- 7:28Speaker 2: a lot of the guys I work with. But then
- 7:30Speaker 2: our friend Jim Fravola, you know, he's got AFC Bournemouth
- 7:33Speaker 2: in the Premier League. So I went to London, went
- 7:36Speaker 2: to Bournemouth. I saw a match at Vitality that was great.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I've gone to see three messy matches at I haven't
- 7:45Speaker 2: been a new stadium, the new one in Miami yet,
- 7:47Speaker 2: but all three at Lockhart or what I think was
- 7:49Speaker 2: called Chase Stadium last couple of seasons. But no, I've
- 7:52Speaker 2: totally tried to immerse myself as much as I can
- 7:55Speaker 2: in soccer. But the World Cup for me makes.
- 7:57Speaker 3: It easy, Like I love that. Of course you're rooting
- 8:00Speaker 3: for contract, yes, but I'm.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Even watching matches that don't have the Americans in it,
- 8:06Speaker 2: and I just find it fun.
- 8:08Speaker 3: It's a fun watch.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I love the way they do the World Cup, which
- 8:11Speaker 2: is there are no matches overlapping, so you got a
- 8:15Speaker 2: game to watch for a couple of hours, you'll have
- 8:18Speaker 2: an hour break, then the next one comes on.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I just I love the entire format of Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 4: So anyway, unlike the NCAA tournament, which I love, by
- 8:26Speaker 4: the way, but occasionally you're missing it right ending because
- 8:28Speaker 4: you're watching four.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Other games, right.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Yeah, So the only thing I could really find. We
- 8:34Speaker 2: were fascinated for a moment in time with that guy
- 8:36Speaker 2: who was making soccer goal calls to Gloria. We had
- 8:40Speaker 2: listeners call in with their goal calls, right, and they
- 8:45Speaker 2: were trying to do a goal call to a song
- 8:47Speaker 2: like that announcer was doing with the song Gloria.
- 8:50Speaker 3: And here's a little montage of that.
- 8:53Speaker 8: Mike, you're on seven ninety O. Chris, you're on seven
- 9:02Speaker 8: ninety me go up.
- 9:09Speaker 6: Joe, you're on seven ninety.
- 9:11Speaker 7: Go go go Cocka go go go go go.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Coco, all right, cal.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Ray Gonny honey got from me there.
- 9:23Speaker 6: He stare Micah, go.
- 9:29Speaker 9: Go go go go go go.
- 9:37Speaker 6: George, you're on seven ninety.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Go go go go go.
- 9:47Speaker 6: Carl, You're on seven ninety go.
- 9:50Speaker 3: No, it's true.
- 10:01Speaker 9: Go let go go and go go going going go
- 10:06Speaker 9: go go go go go go, Let go let.
- 10:12Speaker 6: Go let go go go go.
- 10:17Speaker 2: That, my friend, is the only soccer related content that
- 10:22Speaker 2: I can find from an eight year spam.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Yes, of the Levato some great songs there. The listeners
- 10:29Speaker 4: were so good. They provided so much, Yes, so much content.
- 10:33Speaker 4: My Sharona stood out.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Mister, that was great.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Mister.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Were you still.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Around when I when I told damn uh that I
- 10:41Speaker 4: could save. You know, p ks or pks are very random.
- 10:46Speaker 4: If you just guess the right way, you can make
- 10:49Speaker 4: a save.
- 10:50Speaker 2: And if I look to the left and kick to
- 10:52Speaker 2: my right, I could score a professional goalie.
- 10:54Speaker 4: And we set this up with an actual professional goalie.
- 10:57Speaker 4: And of course I dailed on it last minute.
- 10:59Speaker 3: There's you bailed on it. Listen. It's all funny games
- 11:03Speaker 3: until you actually have to do it. I mean, there's
- 11:05Speaker 3: zero chance because they use their eyes. The goalies use
- 11:08Speaker 3: their eyes.
- 11:09Speaker 2: The guy who's taking the PK uses his eyes like
- 11:12Speaker 2: they're reading each other. It is not I mean, there
- 11:15Speaker 2: is some randomness to it, but it is not random.
- 11:17Speaker 2: You would not score one goal against a professional goalie,
- 11:22Speaker 2: nor would you save one goal against.
- 11:25Speaker 3: A professional soccer player.
- 11:26Speaker 4: All right, saving, I think you're right on the saves
- 11:30Speaker 4: in terms of scoring, though, my ability to look to
- 11:34Speaker 4: the right and kick to the left is.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Only matched and rival by Pele.
- 11:39Speaker 4: I am telling you right now, okay, And that's secondly,
- 11:42Speaker 4: what you.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Do if you have if you have kids. The only
- 11:45Speaker 2: soccer guy I can in if you have five goals.
- 11:49Speaker 2: If I have five shots, So I kicked one right
- 11:51Speaker 2: down in the middle. You know the goalie is going
- 11:52Speaker 2: to be guessing left, the right, left, the right, left
- 11:54Speaker 2: the right.
- 11:54Speaker 3: You just kick one down the middle. Eventually it goes in.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Not zero chance. I'm glad you on the bit. He
- 12:02Speaker 2: would add a terrible result.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Now.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I searched New York Knicks. Yeah, in the archives. The
- 12:12Speaker 2: only thing I could find was pat Riley being On
- 12:16Speaker 2: with Us. It happened to be a funny story, talked
- 12:18Speaker 2: about being invited into a marketing meeting when he was
- 12:21Speaker 2: the coach of the Knicks. And so here's the only
- 12:25Speaker 2: Knicks related material I can find from the Levatard Show
- 12:29Speaker 2: again circa two thousand and four to twenty twelve.
- 12:34Speaker 3: This is it, pat Riley on with you and Dan?
- 12:38Speaker 10: Can I tell you a funny story about marketing that
- 12:42Speaker 10: I don't know anything about. When I was with the Knicks,
- 12:45Speaker 10: I was asked to come into a marketing meeting and
- 12:49Speaker 10: they asked me what I thought the theme should be
- 12:51Speaker 10: for the team. I'd Patrick and Oakley, and you know
- 12:55Speaker 10: Anthony Mason, David McDaniel, you know Derek Harper, Doc rivers,
- 12:59Speaker 10: you know, John Starks, you know, we had we had
- 13:01Speaker 10: a very very aggressive, sort of primal team. And I said, yeah,
- 13:05Speaker 10: take a take a camera, you know, put the camera
- 13:07Speaker 10: up in the uh you know, upstairs, you know, in
- 13:10Speaker 10: the ceiling, you know, shoot it down on the court
- 13:14Speaker 10: on the key area, and then put a chalk line
- 13:17Speaker 10: of a dead person in the key area with a
- 13:20Speaker 10: number twenty tree on it. And I said, I think
- 13:23Speaker 10: people will get the message about what this team is about.
- 13:26Speaker 10: And they said, well, we'll think about that. And so
- 13:31Speaker 10: they didn't ask me in any more marketing meetings and.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Happened to be a great story, right, yes, yes, right.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Uh do you remember what the rotation was at the
- 13:41Speaker 2: beginning of the show when we got the rights to
- 13:43Speaker 2: the Heat, we had a Heat front office show.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Do you remember what the rotation was? I know Riley
- 13:51Speaker 3: was obviously.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Right, So we had it was three guests I believe
- 13:55Speaker 2: who rotated every week. I'm trying to think here, So
- 13:59Speaker 2: we had Rotten was Spoe one of them? I don't
- 14:02Speaker 2: think Spoe was the oh, the goat and the coach. Yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 2: maybe it was Spo. I thought it was Spoe. I
- 14:12Speaker 2: think you're right. I think it was Riley Spoe who
- 14:15Speaker 2: was the third. Yeah, Michael McCullough. No, it's not a
- 14:21Speaker 2: bad guess.
- 14:22Speaker 3: It's a good guess. Randy Fund. Oh that's right, Randy Fund. Yes,
- 14:26Speaker 3: it was the GM at the time, right.
- 14:28Speaker 2: You know, I know everybody thinks Dan's the nicest guy
- 14:31Speaker 2: in the world. In my professional life, I have never
- 14:36Speaker 2: had a boss yell at me as harshly and angrily
- 14:42Speaker 2: as Dan did.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Twice in my life. There were two times.
- 14:47Speaker 2: And by the way, I've yelled at people before, so
- 14:49Speaker 2: I'm not saying it like, oh, this huge revelation.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Sure.
- 14:52Speaker 2: The first time that he ever, when I say, laid
- 14:57Speaker 2: into me in a way that I couldn't even believe
- 15:01Speaker 2: what I was hearing. Yes, it's so unbelievable. It's over
- 15:08Speaker 2: Randy Fund. Right, it was over Randy Fund. Do you remember, memory, Yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 2: you and I were doing the show. Dan was doing
- 15:16Speaker 2: PTI or whatever. He was out of town, he was
- 15:18Speaker 2: covering something, whatever it was. But whenever he would miss
- 15:22Speaker 2: a show, he would usually try to call in from
- 15:25Speaker 2: his car at some point just to check in, how
- 15:28Speaker 2: are things going or whatever?
- 15:29Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, yes, damn, we're gonna love this.
- 15:34Speaker 2: I mean, calls in I think he's like overseas, but
- 15:39Speaker 2: he's like made it a point to call in so
- 15:42Speaker 2: he can be part of the show. You know, it's
- 15:44Speaker 2: the Dan Lebotard Show, so he doesn't want to miss
- 15:46Speaker 2: out on the show. And he's on with us maybe
- 15:51Speaker 2: five six minutes. What are you guys talking about? Like
- 15:53Speaker 2: was always very casual and it was actually a cool
- 15:55Speaker 2: thing to do. And he's like, what are you guys
- 15:57Speaker 2: talking about? Oh, we're taking calls on this and we're
- 16:00Speaker 2: talking about you know, Jan Pierre had a great game
- 16:03Speaker 2: for the mart who knows, you know, or telling him
- 16:05Speaker 2: what's going on?
- 16:07Speaker 3: Right?
- 16:07Speaker 2: And I say, because I think Riley or Fund or
- 16:12Speaker 2: whoever would join us. I think it was like Wednesdays
- 16:14Speaker 2: at four thirty or something like that. So it's like
- 16:17Speaker 2: four to twenty five. Dan's been on with us for
- 16:20Speaker 2: five or six minutes, and I say on the air, Dan,
- 16:26Speaker 2: we gotta go because we got to take a break.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Randy Fund is going to join us next now. He
- 16:31Speaker 2: hated the fact that Randy Fund was on with us
- 16:33Speaker 2: every third week. He only wanted big name guests, so
- 16:37Speaker 2: he didn't mind talking to Riley. He would talk to
- 16:39Speaker 2: Riley every week if he could we had weide on
- 16:41Speaker 2: every other week that was part of a different deal,
- 16:43Speaker 2: and I guess Spoe or whatever, but he recoiled every
- 16:48Speaker 2: third week when.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Randy Fund had to come on. He was the gens. Well,
- 16:51Speaker 3: he didn't recoil, he just flew across seas. I mean,
- 16:54Speaker 3: he took a little trip across the pond. He hated it.
- 16:57Speaker 2: He hated the fact that we were being forced essentially
- 16:59Speaker 2: to Randy FUNDI but we had this brand new deal
- 17:02Speaker 2: with the heat, right yeah, And so he was upset
- 17:05Speaker 2: because we had to get rid of him, if I
- 17:06Speaker 2: recall correctly, we had to get rid of But people
- 17:09Speaker 2: need to realize when we say this, and Dan needed
- 17:11Speaker 2: to realize at the time, we have a contractual obligation
- 17:15Speaker 2: to go to that segment that was part of the
- 17:17Speaker 2: arrangement of having the heat on our station. You know,
- 17:20Speaker 2: he took it in such an offensive manner. So on
- 17:24Speaker 2: the air, I say, Dan, we gotta go. Randy Fund
- 17:27Speaker 2: is going to join us next, and he's like, oh,
- 17:30Speaker 2: all right, we go to break guest line rings. I
- 17:36Speaker 2: mean thirty seconds later, and I don't know if it's
- 17:38Speaker 2: Mike Ryan or Andy King, whoever, or Dan wants to
- 17:41Speaker 2: talk to you.
- 17:42Speaker 3: So I'm in the back of the studio.
- 17:45Speaker 2: And when I tell you, he is screaming at me
- 17:50Speaker 2: in the on the I mean the top of his lungs.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Who the fuck are you to.
- 17:58Speaker 11: Kick me off my own fucking show for Randy fucking
- 18:03Speaker 11: fund I'll tell you if it's Randy fucking Funds, time
- 18:09Speaker 11: not for you to decide, you motherfucker.
- 18:13Speaker 3: I'm telling you he is. I couldn't believe it, and people.
- 18:17Speaker 2: In the studio could hear it over the phone because
- 18:19Speaker 2: it's you know, it's a landline, it's the studio line.
- 18:22Speaker 3: And I'm not exaggerating. I am not exaggerating.
- 18:26Speaker 11: Who the fuck do you think you are kicking me
- 18:29Speaker 11: off my own fucking show for Randy fucking fund And
- 18:35Speaker 11: I was like, I didn't.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Realy like and I really didn't like it.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Was I didn't mean it like I was always happy
- 18:41Speaker 2: when Dan called in and made the show easier, because
- 18:43Speaker 2: you were just trying to stay on time, trying to
- 18:46Speaker 2: stay with the format and we had get tractual obligations
- 18:48Speaker 2: to it. Yeah, yeah, like I was just trying to
- 18:50Speaker 2: I was just trying to keep to the clock and whatever.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Like I just didn't it didn't strike me that it
- 18:55Speaker 2: was gonna be a big deal.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I tried to relay it now through my own head.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Yes where because it's my show now in afternoon drive
- 19:05Speaker 2: on QAM for over a decade.
- 19:08Speaker 3: So you go away.
- 19:09Speaker 4: So Solero and Shouting are doing the show, right, yeah,
- 19:13Speaker 4: and I say, hey, I'll call in, Say like, I'm
- 19:16Speaker 4: gonna be in Switzerland, so hey, I'll call in if
- 19:18Speaker 4: I get a chance.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Right, So I.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Call in and they say, hey, Clay Ferrero from Local
- 19:24Speaker 2: Tens come up. They put me on for two minutes
- 19:26Speaker 2: and they're like, Clay Ferrero's coming out.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I don't think i'd react, just like I try. I
- 19:33Speaker 2: try to be as empathetic as I can in that situation.
- 19:37Speaker 2: But I don't think I think I would say, oh cool,
- 19:40Speaker 2: I'll join in. Or but then again, I like when
- 19:43Speaker 2: Clay comes on. He had this thing.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Where he didn't like when Randy Funn came on.
- 19:47Speaker 4: So so you have to figure, yeah, that you have
- 19:49Speaker 4: an obligation too that yeah, actually like having on.
- 19:52Speaker 2: I mean I guess that you know obviously what happen
- 19:55Speaker 2: doesn't matter.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Like your larger point is if it were Clay Ferrero,
- 19:59Speaker 4: Will Manso Joshua Pall.
- 20:00Speaker 2: It doesn't matter, You're gonna be fine. I got like
- 20:05Speaker 2: have some scheduled. So yeah, it was but he that
- 20:09Speaker 2: and the only other time that he really tore into me, well,
- 20:15Speaker 2: there were a couple of times. Uh the remember he
- 20:18Speaker 2: walked off the show when we did the freak fake
- 20:20Speaker 2: pregame show and we got caught up in the air
- 20:23Speaker 2: with two girls one cup. Oh yeah, he didn't know
- 20:26Speaker 2: what it was and he's like, just play it on
- 20:29Speaker 2: the air and I'm like, Dan.
- 20:31Speaker 3: You don't want to do this.
- 20:32Speaker 2: And it was like a and he ended up walking
- 20:34Speaker 2: off the show like screaming at me. And then obviously, uh,
- 20:38Speaker 2: in the parking lot after my comedy routine, which was
- 20:40Speaker 2: my ending on the show, in the parking lot, I
- 20:44Speaker 2: mean there to face just like just like you're.
- 20:48Speaker 3: A piece of fucking shit.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Fuck you you have no you know, just crazy talk.
- 20:54Speaker 2: But that was a culmination of a lot of feelings.
- 20:58Speaker 3: The Randy Fun one came.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Out of the lount Like we were best friends in college,
- 21:03Speaker 2: we're working together. We knew that there would be some
- 21:05Speaker 2: kind of butting heads sometimes just because we both have
- 21:07Speaker 2: strong personalities.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Yes, that Randy Fun thing, man, I did not seek.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I didn't even think about it till we just started
- 21:13Speaker 2: talking about the uh, the pat Riley story there. But yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 2: that was the first time where it was like, holy shit,
- 21:20Speaker 2: what just happened.
- 21:22Speaker 4: If you were placing future bets on something that would
- 21:25Speaker 4: get in the way of, you know, this amazing friend
- 21:28Speaker 4: relationship that you and Dan had, h it would have
- 21:31Speaker 4: been a billion to one on Randy fund.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:34Speaker 2: As surprised as you were by my Fauci socks, yes,
- 21:37Speaker 2: is as surprised as I was when I picked up
- 21:39Speaker 2: the phone. I literally I can remember this day because
- 21:42Speaker 2: that had to be like oh oh six, maybe oh seven,
- 21:49Speaker 2: maybe earlier.
- 21:49Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 21:52Speaker 2: As surprised as you were by the Fauci socks when
- 21:55Speaker 2: I picked up the phone, when they were like, Dan
- 21:57Speaker 2: wants to talk to you. I legitimately thought it was
- 21:59Speaker 2: going to be like, oh, I didn't realize fun was
- 22:01Speaker 2: coming up? Do you want me to call back at five?
- 22:04Speaker 2: Like I thought it was going to be like a
- 22:05Speaker 2: super casual whatever, and he just laid it from the
- 22:10Speaker 2: moment I said, Hey, who the fuck do you think
- 22:14Speaker 2: you are kicking me off my own fucking show.
- 22:19Speaker 6: I mean, it was like.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Wow, I don't think I realized how much he disliked
- 22:23Speaker 2: having Randy Fund on the show, right I had with you?
- 22:28Speaker 3: Yes, that's just well, maybe he did have something to
- 22:31Speaker 3: do with you.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Back to our Knicks celebration, the only other thing I
- 22:35Speaker 2: could find Nicks related was a drop that Zach Randolph
- 22:39Speaker 2: did for us.
- 22:40Speaker 3: You do you remember?
- 22:42Speaker 2: And this is when he's with the Blazers, by the way,
- 22:44Speaker 2: he's not even with the Knicks, but it's the only
- 22:46Speaker 2: other Nicks tie in I can find. Do you remember
- 22:49Speaker 2: what his drop was? Because we used to have fun
- 22:51Speaker 2: playing the Zach Randolph drop.
- 22:55Speaker 4: No, it was something like something physical, relent, like he
- 22:59Speaker 4: was going to beat the holy hell out of someone.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I think.
- 23:01Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I remember story, but Zach Randolph around the pool table,
- 23:05Speaker 4: beating someone up with a pool ball.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Here's well, here's how it came out.
- 23:10Speaker 12: Zach Randolph from the show pleas to the show.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you're listening to the show. Yes, it had
- 23:18Speaker 3: nothing to do with the pool ball, the holy hell
- 23:21Speaker 3: out anyone.
- 23:22Speaker 2: That may have been during the interview with him, but
- 23:24Speaker 2: I believe I had asked him to say, you're listening
- 23:27Speaker 2: to the Dan Levitard Show. I think you forgot and
- 23:29Speaker 2: just said, this is Zach Randolph. You're listening to the
- 23:32Speaker 2: show by one more time.
- 23:35Speaker 3: It's a great job. Did Zach Randolph from the show
- 23:38Speaker 3: pleas to the show? A right, here's the only other
- 23:44Speaker 3: thing that I could find.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Now, this isn't even NIX related, it's NBA related. Remember
- 23:47Speaker 2: we used to do spelling bees. Oh yeah, of course, yes,
- 23:51Speaker 2: So the spelling bees, Dan and Stugotts legitimately did not
- 23:56Speaker 2: know what names they were going to have to spell.
- 23:58Speaker 2: These were obviously of the the spelling Bee that would
- 24:03Speaker 2: air on ABC in ESPN. Since we're going down the
- 24:06Speaker 2: the spelling bee path here, I would like Tailor to
- 24:09Speaker 2: try to spell the last name fund Randy funny, Randy
- 24:16Speaker 2: fun Go ahead, Taylor.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Pf U n D wow.
- 24:22Speaker 2: When there was a silent p there had a strong
- 24:26Speaker 2: effort by Taylor.
- 24:28Speaker 3: That's that unc education. Yes, but Hawk is right about this.
- 24:32Speaker 4: With a spelling bee, we had no idea what words
- 24:34Speaker 4: were coming at us.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I just knew it was rigged, that's all.
- 24:37Speaker 2: So sometimes I may have given Danny easier names than
- 24:43Speaker 2: Stu Gott's, but it was really all it was was
- 24:48Speaker 2: a device for me to get the big Voice to
- 24:51Speaker 2: say silly things that would make Dan and Steugott's laugh
- 24:54Speaker 2: because the format was this, and I would tell Dan
- 24:56Speaker 2: and Stewgott's before we did the segment, you're gonna ask
- 25:00Speaker 2: for the name or the word. Then you're going to
- 25:03Speaker 2: ask can I hear it in a sentence? Because I
- 25:06Speaker 2: had had the Big Voice say a sentence for all
- 25:08Speaker 2: the names.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Yes, and To's point, this was the key to the
- 25:12Speaker 4: whole bit. It was rated a sentence.
- 25:14Speaker 2: The bit was after they say can I hear it
- 25:18Speaker 2: in a sentence? I was going to try to make
- 25:20Speaker 2: them laugh with something that the Big Voice did, and
- 25:23Speaker 2: I tried to keep it show related, but they really
- 25:27Speaker 2: did not know the names, like it was a legit competition.
- 25:30Speaker 3: So here it is. This is the NBA Playoff Spelling.
- 25:34Speaker 13: Bee theme for the spelling be NBA players who are
- 25:39Speaker 13: still in the playoffs. So there are four teams. If
- 25:43Speaker 13: you want to hear what the Spelling Bee sounds like,
- 25:45Speaker 13: because it started on ESPN and ABC, it started today, correct, Yeah,
- 25:49Speaker 13: So the Spelling Bee these little kids that they torture
- 25:52Speaker 13: and they homeschool and they don't let out in public,
- 25:55Speaker 13: and they lock them in a cave with dictionaries.
- 26:00Speaker 6: That thing started today. It sounds something like this On.
- 26:03Speaker 13: ESPN Subride's Soubride's subriden It means wearing or offered with
- 26:10Speaker 13: a smile.
- 26:12Speaker 3: That sounds right. See it close to the mic for
- 26:14Speaker 3: the judges subrid.
- 26:17Speaker 13: Okay, so you ready to start? Stegott's I'm ready to go?
- 26:20Speaker 13: All right, you are first, my friend? Theme is The
- 26:24Speaker 13: theme is players still remaining in the NBA playoffs? Can
- 26:30Speaker 13: we get for ste Gotts the first one?
- 26:32Speaker 6: Please spell Steve Nash.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Lar that in a sentence, though.
- 26:37Speaker 7: Please, Steve Nash is good, but for him to win
- 26:40Speaker 7: an m v P he is racist.
- 26:45Speaker 3: S t e v e n A s H Steve
- 26:49Speaker 3: Nash s.
- 26:50Speaker 1: T e v e n A s H Steve.
- 26:59Speaker 6: Gods jumps out to a lead.
- 27:01Speaker 13: Usually in these contests, the guy who jumps out to
- 27:04Speaker 13: a lead is twenty five and oh when getting the
- 27:06Speaker 13: first word.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Pressure's on you?
- 27:08Speaker 6: Now, Yes, the pressure is on me. The pressure is
- 27:11Speaker 6: all on me. What's my word spelled? Jason tery I
- 27:16Speaker 6: needed in a sentence?
- 27:18Speaker 1: The t Rex wasn't chasing the jeep.
- 27:21Speaker 7: Jason Terry was chasing Chuck Norris.
- 27:26Speaker 6: J A s O n T E R r y.
- 27:31Speaker 7: J j A s O n t e r r
- 27:35Speaker 7: y Jason Terry.
- 27:39Speaker 13: Much like a series when the pressure gets ratcheted up
- 27:42Speaker 13: after it's all even I've stolen one. I haven't stolen
- 27:46Speaker 13: one yet on the road, but now I suspect it'll
- 27:49Speaker 13: get harder.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Spells Shaquille O'Neill.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Need to hear it in a sentence, please.
- 27:55Speaker 7: Shaquille O'Neill's dad sits in the stands and booze and
- 28:00Speaker 7: on walker.
- 28:01Speaker 4: You know that's true. Something Someone s h A q
- 28:07Speaker 4: u I L l E. I'm not looking at anything here.
- 28:10Speaker 6: I think you're writing things down. What do you mean
- 28:13Speaker 6: you can't write down the words?
- 28:14Speaker 3: I'm only writing down the score here.
- 28:16Speaker 6: That's it's hard to keep tracking this one one.
- 28:20Speaker 4: Yes, oh n e A L Shaquille O'Neal Dan, pressure's
- 28:25Speaker 4: on you.
- 28:27Speaker 7: Hh q u I l l e O n e
- 28:32Speaker 7: a l Shaquille O'Neill.
- 28:37Speaker 6: I'm a little rattled.
- 28:39Speaker 13: Stu Gotts has gotten off to a heart fast start.
- 28:42Speaker 13: He's like Dwyane Wade in that first game. What you
- 28:44Speaker 13: got for me?
- 28:45Speaker 6: Spell, Gary Peyton, give it to me in a sentence.
- 28:50Speaker 7: Myking Gary Peyton ain't putting up with them Book from

- 29:36Speaker 6: You were going to stick in there some bleeps while
- 29:38Speaker 6: he spelled it.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Go ahead, real tough one there?
- 29:40Speaker 6: Did you write it down? I think we're tied to gods.
- 29:42Speaker 6: But let me go to the official scorer over there.

- 30:32Speaker 3: Well you shook your head.

- 31:18Speaker 4: ESPN NBA page. There's nothing here helping me, right. Would
- 31:21Speaker 4: you like to look at the page? I I just
- 31:23Speaker 4: think clearly it's not.
- 31:25Speaker 13: Federal grand jury testimony has been leaked to suggest that

- 33:07Speaker 4: not allow that. Tonight, ABC eight o'clock. I'm taking shortcuts.
- 33:11Speaker 4: I mean, I could have said S T e v
- 33:12Speaker 4: East Nash, Yeah, and I would have given it to you.
- 33:15Speaker 13: I wouldn't have given it to you if you said
- 33:16Speaker 13: Leandro and then Barbosa.
- 33:18Speaker 3: So if I missed this, you have won.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Dad.
- 33:21Speaker 13: That is correct. Official score cheater. Go ahead, give me

- 34:10Speaker 6: he would have won.
- 34:11Speaker 13: If the contest was wondering who does some of these
- 34:13Speaker 13: people play for?
- 34:14Speaker 3: Now? I think this was rig So I want to
- 34:15Speaker 3: hear Levitzard fifth one?
- 34:17Speaker 7: Was it?

- 34:38Speaker 13: I want to hear Gary Payton again. Give me Gary
- 34:40Speaker 13: Payton again. I want that word over again.
- 34:44Speaker 7: Macking Gary Peyton, ain't putting it with no mocking from
- 34:48Speaker 7: no Dick Bavera.
- 34:51Speaker 13: I already won, right, I won mathematically to shoot, and
- 34:53Speaker 13: now I'm just gonna run up the score like Spurrier
- 34:55Speaker 13: A m A r e stoatea Meyer s t o
- 34:59Speaker 13: you d e m I r e.
- 35:02Speaker 7: A m a r e s t o u d
- 35:06Speaker 7: e m i r e imri stoda Meyer.
- 35:13Speaker 13: Regained my confidence like you Donnas Haslam in game four?
- 35:17Speaker 6: That was cheating at the end. Look at him, he's
- 35:21Speaker 6: steaming over there.
- 35:22Speaker 13: He's steaming because you gave him. Who's that guy who
- 35:24Speaker 13: plays for Phoenix? What the hell is his name? I'd
- 35:27Speaker 13: like to hear from the big boys?
- 35:28Speaker 3: Do you know?
- 35:28Speaker 6: Did you have any idea who that guy is?
- 35:30Speaker 10: Like?
- 35:30Speaker 13: Do you know anything about him? I'm assuming he's a foreigner.
- 35:32Speaker 13: They drafted him, Yes, they drafted him. Hi no second
- 35:36Speaker 13: round spelled Nicholas ske ish v le. Do you have
- 35:41Speaker 13: any idea whether that's spelled correct or whether he's pronouncing
- 35:44Speaker 13: that correctly?
- 35:45Speaker 3: Top ten pick?
- 35:46Speaker 6: Was he a top ten pick?
- 35:47Speaker 7: T s h v I l I T s k
- 35:51Speaker 7: I T s h v I l I T s
- 35:55Speaker 7: k I l I T s.
- 35:58Speaker 1: H v I.
- 35:59Speaker 7: Nicolas Sketchish, Really, Nicholas Skottish. Nicholas skis damn it.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Anyway, he was a top five pick, Skita. I mean
- 36:14Speaker 3: he's so great. Where you go?
- 36:15Speaker 1: Uh you go?
- 36:16Speaker 10: Nah?
- 36:17Speaker 3: Second round?
- 36:18Speaker 2: Then I said, it was such confidence, Nicholas.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:26Speaker 2: When I was listening to that, the line that I
- 36:29Speaker 2: had big voys do for Gary Payton reminded me of
- 36:33Speaker 2: Dan yelling at me, Randy fuck, motherfucking Randy, motherfucking fun
- 36:46Speaker 2: bump me off my own mother fucking show. Anyway, that's
- 36:53Speaker 2: what we have for soccer and basketball from what I
- 36:57Speaker 2: could find for this episode. Uh, all right, you want
- 37:01Speaker 2: to do three nicknames to get out of here.
- 37:04Speaker 4: I mean, I just gave you a Skita. I'm just
- 37:06Speaker 4: I'm just that is that his legit nickname? That's his
- 37:09Speaker 4: legit nickname. I remember that. I didn't remember that he
- 37:12Speaker 4: was picked fifth overall in the draft. I had him
- 37:14Speaker 4: as a second rounder.
- 37:16Speaker 3: I'll give you credit for that, but now you just
- 37:18Speaker 3: got to get too. I'm amazed by Randy fund.
- 37:21Speaker 2: It's I'm just well, you remember that, don't you think?
- 37:25Speaker 3: You were probably on the other side of the studio.
- 37:27Speaker 2: So I don't know if you've got to hear him
- 37:29Speaker 2: yell at me the way that he did, but I
- 37:31Speaker 2: know I can't hear like less. Yes, Like I would
- 37:38Speaker 2: love to have cameras in the studio from back then
- 37:40Speaker 2: because I would love to have seen the look on
- 37:42Speaker 2: my face, right, I like, you know you're going to
- 37:47Speaker 2: have some fun, Well you fuck up, Like we're just
- 37:50Speaker 2: trying to hold the show together because he's not there
- 37:53Speaker 2: right and and like all of a sudden, like but
- 37:56Speaker 2: I just it was like, you know, again, if you
- 37:59Speaker 2: fuck up something and you kind of expect to get
- 38:01Speaker 2: yelled at because you know you did something poorly. I'll
- 38:05Speaker 2: tell you remember we did we did a movie screening.
- 38:08Speaker 2: We had done several movie screenings. One was for Tropic
- 38:12Speaker 2: Thunder and it was huge. I mean people were waiting.
- 38:16Speaker 2: We did it at the High Lea moviec and the
- 38:18Speaker 2: line to just get these free tickets to watch Tropic
- 38:22Speaker 2: Thunder with us was insane.
- 38:24Speaker 3: Had to turn away hundreds of people.
- 38:26Speaker 2: And then we did one for Rambo was the latest
- 38:30Speaker 2: in the Rambo and we gave everybody rambo like bandanas
- 38:34Speaker 2: to put on, and we.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Had celebrities come out.
- 38:37Speaker 2: You remember tarall Owens came out, Reagan, Mawia, Dolphins, Draft
- 38:41Speaker 2: Diick came out.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Like we had people up we did. Do you remember
- 38:44Speaker 3: the big failure of a movie screening. I'm still reeling
- 38:48Speaker 3: from it, David Samson's movie. David Samson's movie.
- 38:51Speaker 2: So we had started having Samson on as the movie expert,
- 38:56Speaker 2: and we said, these movie screenings have been so successful,
- 39:01Speaker 2: let's do one with Samson the movie expert, and you
- 39:04Speaker 2: name the movie. Now, we had always done new releases.
- 39:07Speaker 2: We were getting people in to see new releases before
- 39:09Speaker 2: they were open, and we said to Samson, pick any
- 39:13Speaker 2: movie your favorite movie, and do you know the movie
- 39:16Speaker 2: he picked. I think he picked Let It Ride? Right, Yeah,
- 39:19Speaker 2: it was Let It Ride? Or was it The Long Shot?
- 39:21Speaker 2: It was a horse racing movie.
- 39:23Speaker 3: I thought it was. I think it was Let It Ride.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:26Speaker 2: The one was pretty good about ourselves, as we were
- 39:28Speaker 2: feeling pretty good about ourselves as a show.
- 39:31Speaker 4: So we figured we could do this with any one, yep,
- 39:34Speaker 4: and with any movie, and we would pack the theater.
- 39:37Speaker 4: And so, to Hawk's point, we tried it with Samson.
- 39:39Speaker 4: I believe it was Let It Ride. It was a movie,
- 39:42Speaker 4: look at a movie, and I just remember hiding behind
- 39:45Speaker 4: the curtain with Dan.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Yes, we were ashamed of ourselves.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Yes.
- 39:48Speaker 2: So the movie was released in nineteen eighty nine. It
- 39:51Speaker 2: was not popular in nineteen eighty nine. It wasn't popular
- 39:54Speaker 2: in nineteen ninety nine. It wasn't popular ever. And Samson,
- 39:58Speaker 2: for whatever reason, thought that this movie was one of
- 40:01Speaker 2: the funniest, greatest movies of all time. And so we
- 40:04Speaker 2: had done these wildly successful movie screenings and we said, Okay,
- 40:09Speaker 2: we're gonna do it for Let It Ride. Now, I
- 40:11Speaker 2: had to go through all this bullshit to get a
- 40:14Speaker 2: screener of Let It Ride, you know, in two thousand
- 40:17Speaker 2: and six or seven, from a nineteen eighty nine movie
- 40:20Speaker 2: that probably wasn't even available on VHS, right. And then
- 40:23Speaker 2: you know, cause the movie theaters back then, like the
- 40:26Speaker 2: Hilia movie Code, which is where we did it, they
- 40:29Speaker 2: had to get permission from the movie companies whatever. So
- 40:32Speaker 2: we do that and we invite people out watch Let
- 40:37Speaker 2: It Ride with us and Samson, and we thought we
- 40:40Speaker 2: were gonna have a line like Tropic thunder yep, and
- 40:44Speaker 2: maybe thirty people showed up. You're being generous, and we
- 40:48Speaker 2: really we had been feeling ourselves up until this point.
- 40:52Speaker 2: We were, you know, the hottest band wherever we toured, everyone.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Came out to see us like it was to slam
- 41:00Speaker 3: Dunk at.
- 41:01Speaker 2: This point, and there were and Dan was mortified. Of course,
- 41:08Speaker 2: now he had to come out and welcome the crowd
- 41:10Speaker 2: that was there, which was about thirty people in a
- 41:13Speaker 2: theater of three hundred.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Yes, I call a crowd of thirty people in a
- 41:17Speaker 4: theater of three hundred humble pie.
- 41:21Speaker 3: And he did.
- 41:22Speaker 2: I remember him coming out from behind the curtain. There
- 41:25Speaker 2: was a curtain, and I remember him just going.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Hello, and it was right next to him.
- 41:34Speaker 2: There was no obviously no energy in the building. It
- 41:39Speaker 2: was really sad. It was humbling, as you say, humble pie.
- 41:43Speaker 2: It was humbling. No one felt good. Then we had
- 41:47Speaker 2: to sit through this shitty fucking movie that Samson had picked.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Like it wasn't even like the movie paid off because
- 41:53Speaker 2: the movie was terrible. And I happened to love Horse
- 41:55Speaker 2: Raising and I like Richard Dreyfus whatever movie Dunk. And
- 41:59Speaker 2: then everybody goes home and I get a call at
- 42:04Speaker 2: home the next morning, oh boy, and he says, well,
- 42:08Speaker 2: how are we going to prevent something like that from
- 42:11Speaker 2: happening again? And for me, at this point, like it
- 42:17Speaker 2: was over, and I know how we were going to
- 42:19Speaker 2: prevent it.
- 42:19Speaker 3: We weren't going to be so high in ourselves to.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Think that anything we did was going to be eaten
- 42:24Speaker 2: up by the audience, that whatever we were doing, anyone
- 42:28Speaker 2: was going to drop whatever they had planned and come
- 42:30Speaker 2: out and see us, And so we needed to make
- 42:32Speaker 2: things a little more special. We took it for granted
- 42:35Speaker 2: that night. But my answer to Dan wasn't acceptable to him,
- 42:41Speaker 2: right because I was casual.
- 42:43Speaker 3: It was over and it was done.
- 42:45Speaker 2: I said, yeah, we're definitely not going to let something
- 42:47Speaker 2: like that happen again. And he was like, well, how
- 42:50Speaker 2: what are we going to have in place so that
- 42:52Speaker 2: doesn't happen again? And I said, We're not going to
- 42:54Speaker 2: take the audience for granted. I mean, we'll do and
- 42:56Speaker 2: wrap ourselves around things that are an actual And for
- 43:01Speaker 2: whatever reason, he wasn't satisfied. I think he was still
- 43:03Speaker 2: smarting from the humble pie that he had eaten the
- 43:05Speaker 2: night before. Yes, and he just lit into me, you
- 43:10Speaker 2: don't give a shit about what we're doing. You have
- 43:15Speaker 2: no plans on how you're gonna how you're gonna prevent
- 43:18Speaker 2: this from happening again.
- 43:20Speaker 3: It's fucking bullshit with you.
- 43:22Speaker 2: And I was like, I'm like, if you want me
- 43:26Speaker 2: to have a twenty point written plan on how this
- 43:29Speaker 2: is gonna be prevented, I don't have it right now.
- 43:32Speaker 3: I've just woken up from last night's nightmare.
- 43:35Speaker 4: Yes, I would have given him a single point. Next time,
- 43:39Speaker 4: Let's do it without Samson. Bad attendance seems to follow
- 43:44Speaker 4: him around. I mean, how about that
- 44:16Speaker 1: With Stu Gods and Hockmanton
