  Host: Today we shall talk a little bit about what is behind the scenes of this podcast, and I have an AI voice representing the creator, Désirée Nordlund, with me today.

  Host: Can you tell me a little about Väruld?

  AI-Désirée: Absolutely, and thank you for your interest.

  AI-Désirée: Väruld is a solar system with three habitual planets.

  AI-Désirée: First came Modir, the first mother, which is the sun.

  AI-Désirée: Then the Allvaldughers were created, which are the gods of Väruld, and they in turn created the planets and the life on them.

  AI-Désirée: One of the Allvaldughers, Sial, the goddess of souls, wanted the souls to change between lives.

  AI-Désirée: And so the humans were created.

  AI-Désirée: That is the background lore, in short.

  Host: That's so interesting, but we have to return to this subject in a later episode, I'm afraid.

  AI-Désirée: The use of AI voices is mainly a financial question.

  AI-Désirée: I don't have the money to find and record actors reading my texts, nor the space to have a proper studio.

  AI-Désirée: It would be a huge project I would never start.

  AI-Désirée: One of the fantastic advantages of AI tools is that it gives more people the ability to follow their dreams.

  AI-Désirée: It is also a plus that once the text is written, it takes me maybe three hours to have an episode ready.

  Host: How did you came up with the idea of Väruld?

  AI-Désirée: Many years ago, I wrote a short script for a contest where I got some very fixed frames.

  AI-Désirée: I remember it had to include a warrior.

  AI-Désirée: I wanted to stand out, so I made my warrior an 80-year-old woman.

  AI-Désirée: I liked her.

  AI-Désirée: Later I wrote two novels with her too.

  AI-Désirée: As I started to write role-playing adventures, I realized I needed some larger context to them and combined the fantasy world for the novels with my roleplay adventures.

  AI-Désirée: Though the world in those two novels was vastly underdeveloped, I kept the magic and a few places and created Väruld.
