October 2nd
Folk rock, new wave, Britpop and American rock come together in today’s episode of The Music Dial, with stories connected to October 2.
We celebrate the birthdays of Don McLean and Sting, return to Oasis and their landmark album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, revisit Bruce Springsteen’s Magic, and remember Tom Petty — one of the defining voices of American rock.
One date, several generations, and music stretching from classic songwriting to Britpop and heartland rock.
