- 0:03Speaker 1: Wake up.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Good next.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Kicking off your day in the best way. It's Sonia
- 0:10Speaker 1: and Joakim on the shock circuit. Well, what can we say?
- 0:13Speaker 1: Happy iPhone 18 launch day. Burgundy, glacier, silver, black. Everybody's
- 0:20Speaker 1: gonna share and post it up on social media now.
- 0:22Speaker 1: It's so beautiful. Anyway, we'll fill you in more about
- 0:24Speaker 1: that in just a bit. Meantime, we're going to kick
- 0:26Speaker 1: it off with the Kit LeRoy, Singapore's number one hit
- 0:28Speaker 1: music station.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Once again, TGIF and happy iPhone launch day as we
- 0:35Speaker 1: said earlier. Yeah, burgundy for me, and I think it
- 0:38Speaker 1: comes at a very good time because I can get
- 0:40Speaker 1: familiar with the phone and then during Formula One season
- 0:43Speaker 1: here in Singapore, I'm going to put it to the test.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So here's the thing, it always launches before Formula One
- 0:49Speaker 1: in Singapore. That's the thing. So I think when, you know,
- 0:52Speaker 1: it comes to a time where you
- 0:53Speaker 1: You have to take, maybe you're at the side of
- 0:54Speaker 1: the track or you're, you have a good view and
- 0:56Speaker 1: you want to test out all the features. It's always
- 0:59Speaker 1: been the perfect testing bit. Let's see whether can I
- 1:01Speaker 1: really zoom into Hamilton's sweat or Max Verstappen's smile if
- 1:06Speaker 1: he's smiling, um, might be too fast for you. So
- 1:09Speaker 1: I don't know if you can zoom in on that,
- 1:11Speaker 1: capture that moment, but we're excited regardless. So hey, even
- 1:14Speaker 1: if you're.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Switching your phone or maybe you're not, you're still thinking
- 1:16Speaker 1: about it. You don't know just yet. Um, take your time,
- 1:19Speaker 1: think about it, see what calls your name, you know,
- 1:21Speaker 1: like in terms of color, whether you have a need
- 1:23Speaker 1: for it and all that. In that case, I'll be
- 1:25Speaker 1: hearing voices in my head, all the colors glacier. So
- 1:30Speaker 1: I sounded very creepy glacier. Why do you make it
- 1:33Speaker 1: sound scary? Glacier. No, no, it's OK. OK, stop it.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I'm so happy it's Friday.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I'm just happy we got here. What is this happiness? No,
- 1:44Speaker 1: it's not. It's genuine. Oh, OK. Actually happy. Why would you,
- 1:48Speaker 1: why would anyone be forced into being happy that it's Friday?
- 1:52Speaker 1: Fair enough. OK. You'll be naturally happy.
- 1:55Speaker 1: That's it though, I'm very sure on your nature trails
- 1:59Speaker 1: or maybe even sometimes over at Robertson Quay or East
- 2:03Speaker 1: Coast Park, you might run past the otters, past them
- 2:07Speaker 1: as well. In fact, now they put up signs about
- 2:10Speaker 1: how to respond if and when you see otters. Oh good. Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 1: in some areas I've seen them.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Again, please don't feed them and you might also see
- 2:18Speaker 1: monitor lizards. OK, OK. Over at the Bishan Canal sometimes
- 2:23Speaker 1: when I run past it, there's one prominent one, big
- 2:27Speaker 1: fat one. It's, it's his territory. Yeah, and this fellow
- 2:31Speaker 1: always shows up after heavy rain.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Just chilling in the canal water swimming, it's cool and
- 2:39Speaker 1: you know, minding its own business kind of thing. But
- 2:41Speaker 1: if you ever see two monitor lizards sort of like
- 2:48Speaker 1: hugging each other on their hind legs, it's anything but cute. Sorry,
- 2:51Speaker 1: are they fighting? Yes.
- 2:53Speaker 1: So I think I've seen some memes of those before.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I think there is a video of two monitor lizards,
- 2:59Speaker 1: the Malayan monitor lizards over at the Sengkang area. They
- 3:03Speaker 1: were seen to be like hugging each other. Then people
- 3:06Speaker 1: are like, Are you the grappling. They actually Brazilian jiu-jitsu
- 3:11Speaker 1: actually you're not wrong, really. It's like a wrestling kind
- 3:14Speaker 1: of wrestling for dominance and.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And the first monitor lizard to fall loses and the
- 3:21Speaker 1: one that wins gets the female's affection. I was literally
- 3:24Speaker 1: going to say, who's the girl? Yeah, exactly. Who's the
- 3:26Speaker 1: girl they're fighting over? Did, did the netizens manage to
- 3:29Speaker 1: catch like a picture of the girl, the lady in question?
- 3:33Speaker 1: Maybe the lady was hiding somewhere. She's like, are you
- 3:37Speaker 1: fighting over me? Please stop fighting. Oh.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Oh, this is horrible. Keep please continue. So the next
- 3:47Speaker 1: time you see a bunch of monitor lizards fighting or
- 3:49Speaker 1: hugging each other, yes, that is what they're doing. They're
- 3:52Speaker 1: wrestling for dominance, trying to win the affection of the
- 3:55Speaker 1: female monitor lizard. Another question is, OK, um, does the,
- 4:00Speaker 1: does the losing monitor lizard get very badly injured, or
- 4:03Speaker 1: is it just whoever gets knocked over? How do they
- 4:06Speaker 1: know mostly your pride and your ego.
- 4:10Speaker 1: get bruised. So you don't actually like, you know, the
- 4:12Speaker 1: lions in the wild, they get hurt because I don't
- 4:14Speaker 1: see them scratching each other or pushing each other. The
- 4:18Speaker 1: arms are so short. They are really using their body weight.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Their arms are so short, it's like a T-rex moment
- 4:23Speaker 1: to assert dominance. So there you go. Wow, actually if
- 4:26Speaker 1: you think about it, right, dinosaurs have evolved, but in
- 4:30Speaker 1: a way they're still quite similar. I mean lizards are
- 4:33Speaker 1: sort of descendants in a way dinosaurs, yeah, exactly so.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I mean, look, hey, thanks for the random fact this
- 4:42Speaker 1: morning though. Like, I, I thought that was pretty interesting.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I never knew that. Inspired by a video that we
- 4:47Speaker 1: saw on TikTok where I think Sengkang. Well, you know what, um,
- 4:51Speaker 1: it seems like we have more in common than we think, right,
- 4:54Speaker 1: like humans.
- 4:55Speaker 1: And animals and reptiles, all kinds of creatures. It's always
- 5:00Speaker 1: because of a girl. I hug you, I hug you,
- 5:03Speaker 1: wrestle with you. Yeah, but this is, this is different.
- 5:07Speaker 1: It's OK. Maybe because you never had to fight with
- 5:09Speaker 1: a guy over a girl before, so.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Actually, you don't know back in secondary school, all chasing
- 5:17Speaker 1: the same girl. If you're in primary 6, I don't
- 5:20Speaker 1: mean to be the bearer of bad news, but this
- 5:23Speaker 1: time next week, it is crunch time for you. 24th
- 5:28Speaker 1: of September, yeah, English paper 1 and 2. Friday, 25th
- 5:33Speaker 1: of September, which is next Friday, math paper one and
- 5:37Speaker 1: math paper two.
- 5:38Speaker 1: And then Saturday and Sunday break. Monday, it's your mother
- 5:41Speaker 1: tongue paper. Tuesday, science paper, and Wednesday, if you are
- 5:46Speaker 1: doing higher mother tongue, that's your final PSLE paper for you.
- 5:50Speaker 1: It is just 5 days. Hang in there and then
- 5:54Speaker 1: you get to enjoy October, November, December before going into
- 5:58Speaker 1: secondary school for the new phase of your scholastic.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Yo, you know what, I always think like those are
- 6:04Speaker 1: really big moments. I'm not sure how you felt when
- 6:07Speaker 1: you actually switch it up so much like that, you know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: like when you move from primary to secondary school, it's
- 6:12Speaker 1: a big switch. It's not so much of the academics,
- 6:15Speaker 1: but more for me it was the culture shock, because again,
- 6:18Speaker 1: going from an all boys school from Catholic High Primary
- 6:20Speaker 1: to Choon Secondary, a mixed school. Oh, wow, wow, OK,
- 6:24Speaker 1: so it took me a while to
- 6:26Speaker 1: embrace accustomed to it, mixed school culture. I never had
- 6:29Speaker 1: that until I went to poly, so it's 10 years
- 6:31Speaker 1: of just girls for me. And then I was thriving
- 6:34Speaker 1: in secondary school in all ways except for studying academics. Yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 1: there you go. Well, I'm pretty sure whoever's on the
- 6:40Speaker 1: line right now, hopefully has a better shot at getting
- 6:43Speaker 1: better at their subjects. Gonna head to the phone lines. Hello,
- 6:46Speaker 1: good morning. Hi, my name is and I'm.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Hello Zachary. OK, Zachary, what song can we get you today? Uh,
- 6:58Speaker 1: can I play Big Big Bang please? Alright, are you
- 7:00Speaker 1: going for the concert?
- 7:03Speaker 1: And my mummy.
- 7:06Speaker 1: OK, well, in the meantime, I hope you guys enjoyed
- 7:09Speaker 1: this trek together in the car, OK? Take care. Bye bye.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Magnus Ferrell with Asleep Talking right here on 987, Singapore's
- 7:18Speaker 1: number one hit music station. Um, apparently I tend to
- 7:21Speaker 1: do that sometimes, the whole sleep talking situation, but it
- 7:26Speaker 1: has happened. Nothing ever makes sense. I remember, I think
- 7:29Speaker 1: this was 2 or 3 years ago, my mom came
- 7:32Speaker 1: into my room saying, hey, you're doing a radio show,
- 7:35Speaker 1: is it? Apparently.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Apparently maybe I was dreaming I was with you broadcasting
- 7:41Speaker 1: on air, right, right, because my mom heard me saying
- 7:43Speaker 1: 987 many times. Very loud, is it? Yes, she can
- 7:46Speaker 1: hear from the next room. Oh my. Anyway, um, like
- 7:49Speaker 1: I said earlier, this is the definition of own self do,
- 7:52Speaker 1: you know, and in a very Singaporean way. It's, it's
- 7:56Speaker 1: very weird really hearing you turn your alien on, you know,
- 8:00Speaker 1: she's there, by the way.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Because you're so prim and proper, but she's always lurking
- 8:05Speaker 1: beneath the surface. But when you go, yeah. This lady
- 8:10Speaker 1: here in Singapore, she's, she's only 22, so maybe she's
- 8:12Speaker 1: still a bit, you know, young and maybe immature. Can
- 8:16Speaker 1: we classify this as crime?
- 8:19Speaker 1: I don't, I don't really think it is a, is
- 8:23Speaker 1: it a crime? OK, let me tell you what it
- 8:24Speaker 1: is first. OK, let me tell you. I think if
- 8:27Speaker 1: you do it, if you cross certain lines, it's considered
- 8:29Speaker 1: a crime. However,
- 8:31Speaker 1: You know, drone flying here in Singapore is quite sensitive, right?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Especially around areas where you're not supposed to have footage.
- 8:38Speaker 1: You have a license to fly a drone and then
- 8:41Speaker 1: you apply for a permit to fly at a certain
- 8:43Speaker 1: area if it's like restricted areas in Singapore. Yeah, you
- 8:48Speaker 1: have to be really careful because there's gonna be
- 8:51Speaker 1: Um, CCTV in most areas, people are looking out for
- 8:55Speaker 1: these things. And if you remember there was one particular
- 8:57Speaker 1: day where the SAF, they were displaying how they have
- 9:00Speaker 1: this piece of tech, right, where they can point this
- 9:02Speaker 1: like bazooka looking gun to the sky, the drone, they
- 9:05Speaker 1: will disrupt the signal and bring it down.
- 9:08Speaker 1: But I mean it won't come crashing down. I think
- 9:10Speaker 1: it just lands safely. Um, this 22-year-old lady flew a
- 9:15Speaker 1: drone for her commercial purposes without any license or any permits,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and she was placed on 12 months' probation, and now
- 9:25Speaker 1: she's ordered to complete 50 hours of community service, all
- 9:28Speaker 1: because she violated the Air Navigation Act and she faces
- 9:33Speaker 1: 31 charges under this act, OK.
- 9:37Speaker 1: She's uh pleaded guilty and she's given, you know, her,
- 9:42Speaker 1: I guess, open inverted commas, punishment. I mean, it's not
- 9:44Speaker 1: a jail term or anything, but, you know, still, it's
- 9:47Speaker 1: gonna be on your record. Is she at least remorseful? I,
- 9:51Speaker 1: I don't know, man. Like they, you know, with tabloids
- 9:53Speaker 1: sometimes they don't post the most flattering pictures of people, unfortunately,
- 9:57Speaker 1: so it doesn't look like she feels any sort of
- 9:59Speaker 1: way in that photo. I'm sure that.
- 10:01Speaker 1: She's gonna regret this because her parents were the ones
- 10:04Speaker 1: that had to, you know, assure, be there and say like, OK,
- 10:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna provide like a $5000 bond to ensure good
- 10:11Speaker 1: behavior during her probation period. Yeah, something like that. So
- 10:15Speaker 1: they are the ones that have to be like her
- 10:16Speaker 1: guarantors in a way. So she cannot be up to
- 10:20Speaker 1: anything during this probation time. OK, I'm quite positive today.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So I'm thinking there could be a positive.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Yeah, usually it's you. I'm thinking there could be a
- 10:31Speaker 1: light at the end of this dark tunnel for this lady.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I was wondering whether she was just like oblivious. Yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 1: so maybe if she's super remorseful and if the judge
- 10:41Speaker 1: deems her to be very talented with the drone flying.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And she has to serve community service, right? 50 hours,
- 10:48Speaker 1: make videos for the MPs. Yeah, yeah, I know, right?
- 10:51Speaker 1: That's a good idea whichever area they want to cover
- 10:54Speaker 1: like Sengkang or maybe even Bedok or East Coast or what, yeah,
- 10:59Speaker 1: fly the drone, make videos for them, done.
- 11:01Speaker 1: But you know what the sad thing would be is
- 11:03Speaker 1: if she was just learning how to fly the drone
- 11:05Speaker 1: or something for like her own purposes. It wasn't clear
- 11:10Speaker 1: like what she was doing with the footage, right? They
- 11:11Speaker 1: just said for commercial purposes. Did she was flying drone,
- 11:15Speaker 1: not exactly. Um, they only said very, very vaguely, there was,
- 11:19Speaker 1: it was spotted at Upper Changi Road East, but unsure
- 11:23Speaker 1: whether there's any other areas that she was spotted at. Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 1: So, I mean, look, um, they're still looking into it
- 11:30Speaker 1: at this point, but drone operations, by the way, are very,
- 11:34Speaker 1: very sensitive. So please, if you ever want to do
- 11:36Speaker 1: it even for your company or for your boss, just
- 11:39Speaker 1: make sure they've applied for the permits. OK. Upper Changi
- 11:42Speaker 1: Road to Changi Airport, which could be a restricted area
- 11:47Speaker 1: as well. So there you go. Would't be surprised. Be
- 11:50Speaker 1: very careful, my friends. Selena Gomez, man, I mean, I
- 11:53Speaker 1: have to applaud her for
- 11:55Speaker 1: Really just staying strong throughout all the public criticism and
- 12:00Speaker 1: also
- 12:01Speaker 1: In, in general, people just want to say something. They
- 12:04Speaker 1: just want to have an opinion. So the Emmy's just happened, right?
- 12:07Speaker 1: And she was actually featured quite heavily because she was gorgeous.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Like she's gorgeous, showed up in a beautiful golden dress
- 12:15Speaker 1: and it got a lot of attention in the media.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Well done to my younger sister. But um on that note,
- 12:21Speaker 1: people started commenting about her face and saying that why
- 12:24Speaker 1: does she look so frozen like this? It's a clone. Yes,
- 12:27Speaker 1: that was the number one theory.
- 12:29Speaker 1: It's a clone. That's not Selena. You can't convince me
- 12:32Speaker 1: that's Selena. Look at her eyes. I think she's a bot.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I've been seeing all the comments like they're literally saying
- 12:38Speaker 1: she's a humanoid bot. It is not the first time
- 12:40Speaker 1: that she's gotten these clone I know allegations, right? Allegations, yeah, yeah,
- 12:45Speaker 1: but she's not the only one. I mean, there are
- 12:47Speaker 1: people saying that about other celebrities and, and, you know,
- 12:50Speaker 1: other singers and actors as well. I mean, till this day,
- 12:53Speaker 1: people are saying that Elvis Presley, John Lennon, and Michael
- 12:56Speaker 1: Jackson are chilling somewhere in a bunker.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Along with Freddie Mercury and Prince. If only that were true.
- 13:03Speaker 1: That would be a great Netflix special, man, if that
- 13:06Speaker 1: ever happened. Wow. Wow. I mean, look, in an alternate universe,
- 13:10Speaker 1: maybe that's possible. When we come back here on the
- 13:12Speaker 1: circuit though, uh, to our friends over at the Novena area, we,
- 13:17Speaker 1: we thank you for your sacrifice. Construction over already.
- 13:21Speaker 1: OK, so to our friends over at the Novena area,
- 13:25Speaker 1: thank you for your sacrifice. The construction is finally ending. No, no, no,
- 13:30Speaker 1: it's not. Uh, unfortunately, works for the north-south corridor. It's
- 13:37Speaker 1: been delayed for a while. Oh no. Yeah, so they
- 13:40Speaker 1: give a reason? Yes, because, you know, most of the
- 13:43Speaker 1: north-south corridor is gonna be, it's gonna be happening underground, right?
- 13:47Speaker 1: So I think they realize, oh, a bit of
- 13:50Speaker 1: I, I don't want to use the word hiccups or
- 13:52Speaker 1: whatsoever when it comes to the land planning, but there's
- 13:56Speaker 1: a lot of intricacies that I'm not too familiar with
- 13:58Speaker 1: as well. I'm very sure our engineers are on it
- 14:00Speaker 1: and our friends over at LTA as well. So I
- 14:02Speaker 1: think yesterday loads of outlets here in Singapore was reporting
- 14:06Speaker 1: about how the North-South corridor faced a bit of delays
- 14:09Speaker 1: in construction works, but once it's done.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Hopefully, all of us get to enjoy it. Yeah. How
- 14:16Speaker 1: long has it been? Did they have a total timeline? OK,
- 14:18Speaker 1: so a few places are supposed to open in phases
- 14:22Speaker 1: in maybe say 2027, but now it's been delayed to 2029.
- 14:27Speaker 1: 0 no. But, but, but on the flip side, I'd
- 14:30Speaker 1: rather it be safe than all of us be sorry.
- 14:34Speaker 1: So yes, to our construction workers, to our engineers, to
- 14:37Speaker 1: everyone who's involved in the north-south corridor, work safe and
- 14:40Speaker 1: thank you for.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Doing what you do. You know, I, I, I will
- 14:43Speaker 1: never forget how we did this topic once where we
- 14:47Speaker 1: asked you a question about where in Singapore is constantly
- 14:49Speaker 1: under construction. I think Novena turned up as an answer
- 14:52Speaker 1: at least like 6 out of 10 times. Yes, I mean,
- 14:57Speaker 1: if you live there or if you pass by there,
- 14:59Speaker 1: I mean my church, Novena Church is over there as well. Yeah,
- 15:02Speaker 1: you would have seen it happening from day one. So again,
- 15:06Speaker 1: it's a bit of a, I really hope it's a
- 15:08Speaker 1: bit of a.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Need a little to win the war situation when it
- 15:12Speaker 1: comes to the north-south corridor, which will make things a
- 15:15Speaker 1: lot more convenient, hopefully in terms of traveling and even
- 15:18Speaker 1: cycling or if you want to run, you can do
- 15:20Speaker 1: it as well. I cannot wait. Yeah, but in the meantime,
- 15:22Speaker 1: you know, for the people living around there, just hang
- 15:26Speaker 1: in there lah. You've been hanging there for a while now.
- 15:29Speaker 1: So yesterday, you might have seen this article because it
- 15:33Speaker 1: came on the back of quite a viral video where
- 15:36Speaker 1: this lady, she's in her early 30s, so she's a millennial.
- 15:39Speaker 1: And she said that she's exhausted all modes of dating
- 15:43Speaker 1: apps already.
- 15:45Speaker 1: She's scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point
- 15:47Speaker 1: and she's swept on everyone already. And apparently she spent
- 15:50Speaker 1: spent over $1000 on dating apps. What is it Tinder
- 15:56Speaker 1: Premium or Coffee Meets Bagel Premium? I think, well, OK,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I've never been on a dating app, but my friends
- 16:02Speaker 1: who have been, they say that you can like pay
- 16:05Speaker 1: for like a premium version on some apps to unlock
- 16:08Speaker 1: certain features or something like that. I'm not sure.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Whether if you're on a regular feature, how many times
- 16:14Speaker 1: you're able to like swipe before you have to stop
- 16:15Speaker 1: for the day. Something like along those lines. So I'm
- 16:19Speaker 1: going to say this again, if you see Sonia and
- 16:21Speaker 1: I on a dating app, it's not us. Report it
- 16:24Speaker 1: as a fake account or a scam account, please, it's
- 16:26Speaker 1: not us. And because this lady has said that she's
- 16:30Speaker 1: been scraping the bottom of the barrel and she's tried
- 16:32Speaker 1: almost like every dating app out there, she's taken to
- 16:35Speaker 1: TikTok to try and find her future husband.
- 16:38Speaker 1: And she literally said, OK, social media, do your thing.
- 16:43Speaker 1: TikTok is the worst. It's a cesspool. Yeah, it can
- 16:48Speaker 1: have a weird mix of people on there. Some, you know, OK,
- 16:51Speaker 1: I would say the vast majority of people that at
- 16:53Speaker 1: least interact with our content on 987 and our own
- 16:56Speaker 1: personal content, they're OK, but there's always going to be
- 16:59Speaker 1: a portion of them that are on socials for the
- 17:02Speaker 1: wrong reason.
- 17:03Speaker 1: So, we wanted to open up the phone lines, 669-11987.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I actually asked my friends this just yesterday when we
- 17:09Speaker 1: were having dinner. I said, OK, half of them, or
- 17:12Speaker 1: rather half of them are already in serious relationships and
- 17:15Speaker 1: are married, but there are, I think two or three
- 17:19Speaker 1: that are still single, OK, still single.
- 17:21Speaker 1: And they don't want to go on dating apps at
- 17:23Speaker 1: this point. I don't know why. Like it's just, they
- 17:25Speaker 1: just don't feel like it suits them. Yeah, even me
- 17:29Speaker 1: as well. OK, so then the question is, where is
- 17:33Speaker 1: the best place to meet your future partner now?
- 17:36Speaker 1: Can I be honest with you? I know you're gonna
- 17:39Speaker 1: say it's curated, but actually Instagram. Really? You think so?
- 17:43Speaker 1: If your account isn't private and I'm able to follow
- 17:46Speaker 1: you and have a look at how you live your life,
- 17:49Speaker 1: your interests, what is it you want to show the world.
- 17:52Speaker 1: That could connect with me on a surface level. Then
- 17:55Speaker 1: I take you out on a date to test and
- 17:57Speaker 1: see whether it was or not, exactly, to see if
- 18:00Speaker 1: this is what you really are, or is it, you know,
- 18:02Speaker 1: you're trying to get attention or you're trying to fit
- 18:05Speaker 1: into a certain lifestyle that isn't yours, because, yeah, I
- 18:08Speaker 1: think Instagram is very much for me at least the
- 18:12Speaker 1: app to understand someone at least again on a surface
- 18:15Speaker 1: level on what is it they are most proud of
- 18:19Speaker 1: or what is it they want to show the world.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I would say yes and no. I don't disagree. I
- 18:23Speaker 1: don't disagree. I just would say that maybe out of all,
- 18:27Speaker 1: maybe out of 10 profiles that you look at, 5
- 18:30Speaker 1: of them may end up being not exactly their real personality.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Am I right to say that?
- 18:38Speaker 1: Is it 5 out of 10 or 8 out of
- 18:39Speaker 1: 10 are not actually what you think they are? Yeah, yeah.
- 18:42Speaker 1: What's the percentage? But, but there are some where it's
- 18:44Speaker 1: very obvious they are what they post, like whether it
- 18:48Speaker 1: comes to running or I don't know how you feel
- 18:51Speaker 1: like it's real, it's genuine. It's truly.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Well, then give us a call 669-11987 or you can
- 18:59Speaker 1: drop us a WhatsApp message 90050987. Let's say dating apps
- 19:04Speaker 1: are out of the question for you at this point, OK?
- 19:06Speaker 1: You've already tried it and it's not for you. Where
- 19:08Speaker 1: else do you think is a good place, be it
- 19:11Speaker 1: online or offline, to meet your future partner? Zo? When
- 19:17Speaker 1: was the last time you went there? May.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I've seen you. I've seen you at the club, OK,
- 19:23Speaker 1: and I'm not quite sure whether you're very proactive, or
- 19:26Speaker 1: maybe you are when I'm not looking. Actually, you know what,
- 19:29Speaker 1: on that note, I don't think you've seen me at
- 19:31Speaker 1: a club where I actually approach someone. I've never seen,
- 19:34Speaker 1: I've never seen it. Uh, my good friend Iggy and Mindy, yes,
- 19:37Speaker 1: they have, OK. I'm guessing it didn't quite work out.
- 19:43Speaker 1: If not, you'll be attached now. 669-11987 or like we said,
- 19:48Speaker 1: drop us a message 90050987. Aside from dating apps, if
- 19:52Speaker 1: that's out of the question for you, where else could
- 19:55Speaker 1: be a good place to meet your future partner? Online
- 19:58Speaker 1: or offline? Let us know. And we're heading to our
- 20:00Speaker 1: messages first, we're talking about if
- 20:03Speaker 1: Let's just say you're single and dating apps are out
- 20:06Speaker 1: of the question because you've tried it and it's just
- 20:07Speaker 1: not for you. Where else would be the ideal place,
- 20:11Speaker 1: online or offline to meet your future partner? Wanna say
- 20:14Speaker 1: good morning on WhatsApp to Hafiz. Hello Hafiz. Hafiz says,
- 20:18Speaker 1: you know, in China, they have a space where parents
- 20:21Speaker 1: come and promote their children. What? Wow. Maybe we can
- 20:27Speaker 1: have such a physical space, but people market themselves instead
- 20:30Speaker 1: of their parents doing on behalf of them.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Wow, so you mean like just go up and push
- 20:36Speaker 1: yourself or what? Can I, can you please humor me
- 20:39Speaker 1: for a while? OK, OK. OK. Imagine that we're in
- 20:41Speaker 1: this space in China. Mama and Papa Chew are at
- 20:44Speaker 1: the space right now publicly promoting their precious daughter Sonia Chew.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Oh no. What do you think they'll say?
- 20:54Speaker 1: Um, she won't cook, she won't clean, but she'll make
- 20:57Speaker 1: you laugh.
- 21:02Speaker 1: To go pow.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Sorry, just made me think of a Cardi B song.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I don't cook, I don't clean. But let me tell
- 21:10Speaker 1: you how I got this ring.
- 21:14Speaker 1: But yeah, it's it's true though. What about this sort
- 21:17Speaker 1: of public space and guess good luck to you.
- 21:24Speaker 1: He's your problem now. I'm not that bad. Can you
- 21:28Speaker 1: lift me up? Always tearing me down and my feelings hurt.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Good luck to you.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Congrats.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Uh, this is why I'm single, publicly being shamed here
- 21:41Speaker 1: and there. Anyway, I want to say good morning to Gerald.
- 21:43Speaker 1: You wait, you wait. Hey guys, morning from JB. I
- 21:47Speaker 1: enjoyed listening to the both of you early in the morning.
- 21:49Speaker 1: It's a good idea to open up my Instagram to
- 21:52Speaker 1: public mode now. By the way, I've tried Tinder a
- 21:54Speaker 1: few months.
- 21:56Speaker 1: A bit difficult to see someone genuine there. I found
- 22:00Speaker 1: there are lots more scammers on Tinder and on all
- 22:05Speaker 1: these dating apps now because people are catfishing pictures or
- 22:08Speaker 1: using someone else's photo. This is the problem. It has
- 22:10Speaker 1: evolved so much, right?
- 22:12Speaker 1: I, I, I think when the founders of these apps,
- 22:16Speaker 1: you know, be it dating or even like Bumble has
- 22:18Speaker 1: a Bumble friends app as well, you know, they, they
- 22:21Speaker 1: came up with these apps with the intention of like
- 22:24Speaker 1: connecting people together.
- 22:25Speaker 1: But once it gets into the wrong hands and you
- 22:28Speaker 1: see sketchy people starting to join that, they're taking advantage
- 22:30Speaker 1: of the platform to do other dodgy things, you know.
- 22:32Speaker 1: And also, OK, to advisors, I respect your hustle, but
- 22:37Speaker 1: I have heard stories of guy or girl, they match
- 22:40Speaker 1: on Tinder, they meet on the first date, the iPad
- 22:43Speaker 1: comes out. Oh no, OK, at least wait till the
- 22:45Speaker 1: 3rd date.
- 22:47Speaker 1: What did you do on the first date? It's supposed
- 22:49Speaker 1: to be that, but OK, never mind. On the back
- 22:51Speaker 1: of this lady going quite viral on TikTok, where she
- 22:55Speaker 1: said she has exhausted all her options for dating on
- 22:58Speaker 1: dating apps. So now she's turning to social media and
- 23:01Speaker 1: she literally said, and I quote loosely, she said, social media,
- 23:04Speaker 1: do your thing. Help me find a husband here. So
- 23:08Speaker 1: the question today is, would you, where would you find
- 23:13Speaker 1: your future partner? Online or offline? We found love.
- 23:16Speaker 1: a hopeless place. Wanna say good morning to Chris. Morning,
- 23:21Speaker 1: Sonia and Joakim. I agree with Joakim that Instagram is
- 23:23Speaker 1: a very good platform to basically see how this person
- 23:26Speaker 1: is like through the post he or she posts. So
- 23:29Speaker 1: you got an idea how this person's way of life
- 23:32Speaker 1: is like, whether you can relate or connect to that person.
- 23:35Speaker 1: So when it comes to the day when you meet
- 23:36Speaker 1: that person, you already have a topic or something to
- 23:39Speaker 1: chat about without the awkward silence. For me, I met
- 23:43Speaker 1: my then girlfriend.
- 23:44Speaker 1: from an online forum where we chatted, got to know
- 23:48Speaker 1: each other better before meeting each other. Congratulations, Chris. That's sweet.
- 23:52Speaker 1: But see, here's the thing, right? With every person that
- 23:55Speaker 1: shows a lot of their life and their lifestyle on
- 23:58Speaker 1: Instagram or social media platforms, there's also a big portion
- 24:02Speaker 1: of people who are not into social media. You know
- 24:04Speaker 1: what I mean? Like they don't, look, I know some
- 24:06Speaker 1: of my friends who are in media, like they work
- 24:08Speaker 1: in media, but they literally post like twice a year.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Because they're just not into it, you know. So how
- 24:14Speaker 1: do you then, you know what I mean? Yeah, so
- 24:15Speaker 1: then they just don't. So how do you meet people?
- 24:22Speaker 1: Good question. Yeah, I'm curious. So I want to say
- 24:24Speaker 1: hello to Sylvest who says, hey Sojo, funny story about
- 24:28Speaker 1: 8 to 10 years ago, I downloaded all the dating
- 24:30Speaker 1: apps possible. I mean, yeah, 10 years ago it was Tinder,
- 24:34Speaker 1: Coffee Meets Bagel, all trending.
- 24:36Speaker 1: And I paid a premium for every single one of them.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Although there were some short-term, short-lived relationships and flings. Nothing
- 24:43Speaker 1: would eventually work. I give up on these apps and
- 24:46Speaker 1: I asked an acquaintance out. It was genuinely to go
- 24:49Speaker 1: out as friends because I did not know that she
- 24:51Speaker 1: had broken up with her boyfriend at that time, and
- 24:53Speaker 1: now almost 10 years later, we are happily.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, so many success stories today. So sweet.
- 25:00Speaker 1: It shows that instead of trying too hard, just look
- 25:03Speaker 1: within your circle, you will probably find the one. Hey,
- 25:06Speaker 1: don't look at me, dude. You kidding, kidding, kidding. Just kidding.
- 25:11Speaker 1: It's been 16 years. That ship has sailed. The ship sank.
- 25:17Speaker 1: The ship capsized with the anchor.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Back to our messages first before we get to Benji
- 25:26Speaker 1: who's hanging on the phone lines. We got loads of
- 25:28Speaker 1: texts coming in on where is the best place to
- 25:30Speaker 1: meet your future partner. Yeah, OK, let's go. Let's go.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Steve says, Hey, Joakim and Sonia, pick up interest and
- 25:37Speaker 1: join an interest group. Lots of them on the app
- 25:40Speaker 1: like to meet up. If you're not interested in anything.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Then no one will be interested in you. My wife
- 25:46Speaker 1: hates clubbing and loud music, but we met in a
- 25:48Speaker 1: pub irony and we got married. Like the Northern Territorial advert,
- 25:54Speaker 1: you'll never know if you never, never go. Oh, sweet.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I mean, this, this does remind me of how, you know,
- 26:01Speaker 1: I told you I sort of crashed like a.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Singles event two weekends back, the paddle, the paddle one.
- 26:08Speaker 1: So apparently, um, two sets of people actually went out eventually.
- 26:13Speaker 1: So maybe something might happen there. OK, one more coming
- 26:17Speaker 1: in from Damon. Damon says morning guys. I had my
- 26:20Speaker 1: first date plus kiss and hold hands at OBS Cam.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Oh, so cute. And I found my wife at a
- 26:28Speaker 1: car club. We were both driving the same make but
- 26:32Speaker 1: different versions. A piece of advice for singles actively looking
- 26:35Speaker 1: for the other half, cough cough, Joakim. Time to go
- 26:38Speaker 1: out and meet real people. Join running clubs or any
- 26:42Speaker 1: interest groups, like, for example, yoga, mountaineering, good luck. Hm, yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 1: you see, Joakim, join the club.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Which, by the way, he has made it very clear
- 26:52Speaker 1: he does not like the idea. Can be overstimulating. One
- 26:56Speaker 1: more from Jolene. Morning, Sonia and Joakim. I agree with
- 26:59Speaker 1: the go with the unexpected where we just meet people
- 27:03Speaker 1: as friends or acquaintances because that's how I met my
- 27:05Speaker 1: then boyfriend, now fiance through university as classmates, and we
- 27:11Speaker 1: are getting married tomorrow. 10.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Congratulations. That's so sweet. Wow, so many success stories, Joe. Congrats, congrats. Congrats, Jolene.
- 27:22Speaker 1: There we go.
- 27:23Speaker 1: How does this inspire you or not? All the success stories? Again,
- 27:27Speaker 1: don't get me wrong, I have been going up. I know,
- 27:29Speaker 1: I know I've been meeting people, but, but in terms
- 27:32Speaker 1: of getting on the apps or has anything amounted to
- 27:35Speaker 1: a relationship? Not yet. So again, only because 987 is
- 27:40Speaker 1: home to me and you are one of my best
- 27:42Speaker 1: friends in life. If anything happens, I know you tell me,
- 27:46Speaker 1: I will tell you straight away. I know, I know. OK,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I've been waiting.
- 27:52Speaker 1: For a while, I'm just waiting every day I'm just saying, OK,
- 27:55Speaker 1: is today the day the day tell me you waited
- 27:58Speaker 1: 6 years. What's another 6.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Another 6 years. I'm not even sure whether we'll be
- 28:06Speaker 1: doing this morning show right now like this, OK.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Hopefully in 6 years we'll be getting more sleep lah,
- 28:11Speaker 1: that's for sure. Oh my. You never know actually in
- 28:14Speaker 1: the meantime. OK, we only got time for one last
- 28:19Speaker 1: caller hanging on the line right now and a very
- 28:22Speaker 1: interesting one here today. Let's just say you have sworn
- 28:25Speaker 1: off dating apps already. Like you've, you've done everything, you've
- 28:27Speaker 1: swiped everywhere. Where else could be a good place to
- 28:30Speaker 1: meet your future partner?
- 28:32Speaker 1: At this point for me, I went with Instagram and
- 28:35Speaker 1: people are going with interest groups. Why not? Why not? Benji,
- 28:39Speaker 1: what about
- 28:39Speaker 1: you?
- 28:40Speaker 2: If apps are out of the question, I recommend, uh,
- 28:42Speaker 2: Instagram 100%. Uh, it's like you get to meet authentic
- 28:45Speaker 2: people as well as some of the very smart people,
- 28:48Speaker 2: but I think if you have like a common interest,
- 28:51Speaker 2: generally you tend to find like-minded people, and then that's
- 28:54Speaker 2: where I found my girlfriend, I guess.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Oh, OK, so walk us through the.
- 28:58Speaker 1: entire journey. How do you find her? How do you
- 29:00Speaker 1: slide into DM when you first saw her profile, what
- 29:02Speaker 1: attracted you to her? So
- 29:03Speaker 2: I
- 29:04Speaker 2: usually like follow, I guess like people who are related
- 29:06Speaker 2: to my sports. So I do like snowboarding and then
- 29:09Speaker 2: I generally just want to follow people that share the
- 29:12Speaker 2: same bond and whatsoever. And then I think one fine
- 29:14Speaker 2: day I was on the explore page, I saw this
- 29:16Speaker 2: person posting a video that talks about why she journeyed
- 29:20Speaker 2: like her past 10 years doing snowboarding and she was like, right.
- 29:23Speaker 2: After COVID, she went to um Switzerland to meet her
- 29:27Speaker 2: godparents to do like backcountry, uh, snowboarding, and I was
- 29:30Speaker 2: just like, oh, this is a very cool uh profile.
- 29:32Speaker 2: I'll follow her. Uh, she followed me back, um, on
- 29:36Speaker 2: hindsight because we had like some mutual friends. Uh, we
- 29:39Speaker 2: got reconnected because of that and then she's like, yeah,
- 29:42Speaker 2: actually I didn't find you a crib because you, you
- 29:44Speaker 2: follow like some of my close friends I met in Japan.
- 29:47Speaker 2: I was like, oh, OK, ever since then.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Haven't looked back. We are 4 years into our relationship.
- 29:51Speaker 2: It's LDR, but it's workable if you put your mind
- 29:56Speaker 2: to it. I think physical interaction is very important.
- 29:59Speaker 1: LDR.D. OK, OK, stop looking at me. Alright, so this one.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Avengers Endgame Encore. It will be out in cinemas next Thursday, OK,
- 30:13Speaker 1: 24th of September.
- 30:15Speaker 1: But it's also day one of PSLE. I was just
- 30:17Speaker 1: gonna say that. Oh no. So, OK, to the P6 kids,
- 30:20Speaker 1: if you're tuned in, use it as a reward. Once
- 30:23Speaker 1: you're done with your final paper, could be signed to
- 30:25Speaker 1: a higher mother tongue, then you go and watch. Yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 1: like it's a distress or unwind. If you think about it.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I mean, if you're in primary 6 this year, Avengers
- 30:35Speaker 1: Endgame came out when you were just 5 years old, 2019.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I don't know that the audience. I mean, it's not
- 30:46Speaker 1: because you have a lot of movies. Yeah, and this
- 30:48Speaker 1: whole Marvel Cinematic Universe began 18 years ago and it's,
- 30:52Speaker 1: it's to.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Robert Downey Junior's Iron Man, to which everything is available
- 30:58Speaker 1: for you on Disney Plus if you need to catch up.
- 31:00Speaker 1: So for Avengers Endgame, you know, they've been teasing this
- 31:03Speaker 1: whole infinity vision thing. Honestly, in my layman terms, it's
- 31:08Speaker 1: very much IMAX, but just maybe Marvel's version of it.
- 31:12Speaker 1: So it will be screened in Singapore.
- 31:13Speaker 1: cinemas. I think maybe your favorite IMAX cinemas or even
- 31:16Speaker 1: your GV Grand or was it GV Vivo? OK, you
- 31:19Speaker 1: know what, I have to watch this one. I mean,
- 31:23Speaker 1: I've already missed Odyssey. So, um, look, there will be
- 31:26Speaker 1: 4 minutes of additional footage, so total runtime could be
- 31:30Speaker 1: just slightly above 3 hours, including post-credit scene, and the
- 31:35Speaker 1: Russo brothers themselves have said these additional scenes and
- 31:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good refresher and a good teaser on
- 31:42Speaker 1: what to expect for Avengers Doomsday coming up December 18th.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I feel like you know if you haven't
- 31:49Speaker 1: Any information about this, about the universe in a while,
- 31:52Speaker 1: maybe do a bit of a recap because I I've
- 31:54Speaker 1: forgotten some stuff already. I need to recap. So I
- 31:56Speaker 1: think you can do your advance booking starting today, September 18th.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Tickets are available. Go and book it and watch it.
- 32:02Speaker 1: If you are starting your PSLE, you know, written papers
- 32:05Speaker 1: on the 24th, we wish you all the best. And
- 32:07Speaker 1: if you haven't seen Odyssey, Sonia, sorry, please go. Spider.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I'm on it. I'm on it.
- 32:14Speaker 1: OK, so like I said earlier, it's a good time
- 32:16Speaker 1: to be an NTUC member. I am, yeah, so am
- 32:19Speaker 1: I actually my mom also. Most people are actually, I feel, right? Yeah, I,
- 32:23Speaker 1: I don't really know a Singaporean that's not an NTUC member.
- 32:26Speaker 1: And especially if you enjoy shopping at fair prices, yeah,
- 32:31Speaker 1: for the points. I know. Yeah, don't call me uncle, really. I, I,
- 32:35Speaker 1: I love getting all these kind of points. You call yourself,
- 32:38Speaker 1: then you say don't call you anyway.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Um, NCUC members can get free entry to Sentosa twice
- 32:46Speaker 1: per month moving forward. OK. Actually, this is really good because, um,
- 32:51Speaker 1: I would say one of the things that sometimes will
- 32:55Speaker 1: stop people from say, hey, you want to go catch up,
- 32:57Speaker 1: we go meet in Sentosa or you know, go have
- 32:59Speaker 1: drinks or they'd be like.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Oh the entry and then all the parking or this
- 33:02Speaker 1: and that, right? So this actually waives off quite a
- 33:05Speaker 1: bit of your, your entry fee. Beautiful. So is it
- 33:08Speaker 1: Sentosa Island or RWS Sentosa like just entry into Sentosa.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I think that when it comes down to the charges
- 33:18Speaker 1: in RWS it's always separate from
- 33:21Speaker 1: From what you're doing in Sentosa itself, because if you
- 33:23Speaker 1: say entry in Sentosa, right, for example, if I take
- 33:26Speaker 1: the Sentosa Express from Vivo City that goes to RWS
- 33:30Speaker 1: and then the beach stations, I can just tap the
- 33:33Speaker 1: NTUC thing and go in for free, the QR code.
- 33:35Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not sure about RWS, OK, OK, yeah,
- 33:38Speaker 1: as in they didn't mention RWS. I feel like they
- 33:41Speaker 1: do operate
- 33:41Speaker 1: Separate entity, but we're talking about, you know, Sentosa's attractions.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I would say, I'm assuming it is the main Sentosa Island, but, um,
- 33:50Speaker 1: of course, if you want more information, log on, read it.
- 33:54Speaker 1: There's going to be um bulletins that's released every first,
- 33:58Speaker 1: every month, and I think a new e-voucher will be
- 34:00Speaker 1: released on the first day of every month. Yeah.
- 34:03Speaker 1: So please link it up, uh, link your NTUC membership
- 34:06Speaker 1: to your Islander account through the My Sentosa app. So easy.
- 34:10Speaker 1: I just there after National Day Parade, just having my
- 34:12Speaker 1: own stay over there. The sensory escape as you go
- 34:15Speaker 1: towards Siloso Beach, very nice. Oh, it's very peaceful, is it?
- 34:18Speaker 1: Walk at night. Yeah, calming. The lights are nice. Sonia,
- 34:22Speaker 1: I have a very important question to ask you, OK? Alright,
- 34:26Speaker 1: and this will be your entertainment if you're tuned in
- 34:28Speaker 1: to us.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Touch wood, in a hypothetical situation, OK, let's just say
- 34:35Speaker 1: one day at 2 a.m. in the morning I call
- 34:37Speaker 1: you or somebody calls you saying, hello Miss Sonia Chew. Uh,
- 34:41Speaker 1: Joakim Gomez has been locked up for the night. He
- 34:43Speaker 1: needs you as his bailer.
- 34:46Speaker 1: OK, would you bail me out for what first?
- 34:51Speaker 1: I might laugh first and be like, what happened? What happened?
- 34:53Speaker 1: You tell me first what happened first, then I decide. No, no, no,
- 34:55Speaker 1: I mean if I, if I, if I, you know,
- 34:57Speaker 1: get up to no good, do something, and I'm in trouble,
- 35:00Speaker 1: and you're supposed to bail me out, you are the
- 35:02Speaker 1: guarantor for my good behavior and for me to not
- 35:05Speaker 1: miss my.
- 35:07Speaker 1: OK, OK. Would you do it for me? I mean, OK,
- 35:10Speaker 1: because of the fact that I've known you for so long,
- 35:12Speaker 1: I know that you're not, you're not going to bail
- 35:13Speaker 1: out on me if I bail you out, pun intended.
- 35:16Speaker 1: So yeah, I will come down and help you, but
- 35:18Speaker 1: not before I take a chuckle first. I might laugh first.
- 35:23Speaker 1: If the, if the bail amount was $45,000 I think
- 35:26Speaker 1: you sort it out. There are other options, you got
- 35:31Speaker 1: other friends. OK, um, look, I, I, I read this
- 35:34Speaker 1: headline and this one involves, um, OK, politician slash lawyer.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Lim Tian, who unfortunately got, I think one of his
- 35:43Speaker 1: colleagues from his political group to bail him out for $45,000. OK, and, and,
- 35:49Speaker 1: and this guy actually made sure, hey, you, I'm gonna
- 35:51Speaker 1: bail you out. You better make sure you don't miss
- 35:53Speaker 1: your court date, ah, OK.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Lim Tian absconds to Malaysia, right? The bailer has forfeited
- 35:58Speaker 1: his $45,000. He tried to fight for it in court.
- 36:01Speaker 1: He's tried to fight for it back. No, he's basically
- 36:04Speaker 1: the guarantor. Exactly. Yeah. So, uh, lesson learned. Be very
- 36:09Speaker 1: careful who you trust and be very careful who you
- 36:13Speaker 1: bail out.
- 36:14Speaker 1: So difficult, honestly, what if, how, how do you trust
- 36:17Speaker 1: anyone anymore? This is a good friend, right? So I
- 36:20Speaker 1: promise you, Sonia, if you bail me out, I will
- 36:22Speaker 1: not miss my court date. I will stay in Singapore
- 36:24Speaker 1: and all that, OK? $45,000. Thank you. You sure or not? Yes,
- 36:27Speaker 1: you sure? I see your face. I'm not so sure,
- 36:30Speaker 1: so I'm starting to feel a bit. Where am I
- 36:32Speaker 1: gonna go?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Uh, Spain, Italy, I mean, I don't know, but you're
- 36:37Speaker 1: not allowed to travel, my passport, and you have my
- 36:40Speaker 1: mom and my dad, you know them personally. I cannot
- 36:43Speaker 1: la to be can't escape, I think, yeah, you have
- 36:47Speaker 1: a good point there. Someone else is OK.
- 36:50Speaker 1: It's Lady Gaga, Garden of Eden, right here on 987.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Sonia and Joakim here with you. Oh, baby mama, she's
- 36:57Speaker 1: officially Lady Mama.
- 37:00Speaker 1: No, what did you say yesterday? Mama Gaga. Mama Gaga's funnier.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Nicer ring to it. Yes, yeah. Speaking of Mama here,
- 37:09Speaker 1: time for me to go down to the Singtel store,
- 37:11Speaker 1: get for her the iPhone 18 in Glacier. No, OK,
- 37:14Speaker 1: I love my mom. Don't get me wrong, but every
- 37:20Speaker 1: year when I get the new iPhone, right, I'm like, Mom,
- 37:22Speaker 1: so what do you do with the new iPhone? How
- 37:23Speaker 1: do you?
- 37:24Speaker 1: She has no idea. I just want to use and
- 37:26Speaker 1: show my friends my my son got for me. She
- 37:30Speaker 1: wants to flex. She wants to flex. No, but, OK,
- 37:33Speaker 1: to be very, very honest, I feel like for our parents'
- 37:37Speaker 1: generation and above, like if they're not really utilizing all
- 37:40Speaker 1: the features on the phone, it kind of defeats the purpose.
- 37:43Speaker 1: That's why I want her to go out there and
- 37:44Speaker 1: take pictures, you know, can't.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Force her to do that because that to her may
- 37:49Speaker 1: not be like enjoyable, you know what I mean. Every
- 37:52Speaker 1: time I'm free, right, Mom, come, let's go. No lah,
- 37:55Speaker 1: very hot, tired now. Got the haze. Then when I'm
- 37:58Speaker 1: not free, ya, leave your mother at home. Mommy, how
- 38:01Speaker 1: to win? You, you don't win. You realize that, right? There's,
- 38:05Speaker 1: there's no winning here. There's no actually this is good
- 38:09Speaker 1: enough training for you for the future, yeah, but there
- 38:12Speaker 1: you go.
