- 0:09Topics range from road cars to racing, drivers to owners, as well
- 0:13as auctions, private sales, and trends in the collector market.
- 0:30And welcome back everybody to the Ferrari Marketplace.
- 0:33This is William and I am your host.
- 0:35It's been a little bit.
- 0:36Uh, I kind of lost track of time, so to speak in regards to, I realized
- 0:41it's been basically a month since I did another podcast, I kind of
- 0:44weeks for getting away from me there.
- 0:45I was busy doing a few other things and I kept saying, Oh, I got to do it tomorrow.
- 0:48I got to do my podcast.
- 0:49I got to do my podcast tomorrow.
- 0:51And then before I know it, it's like all of a sudden it's the weekend.
- 0:53It's like, Oh, I'll do it next week.
- 0:54Oh, what's one more week.
- 0:55I'll say I looked at the date, you know, looking at my downloads
- 0:58and stuff on Buzzsprout.
- 0:59I was like, Whoa, it's been over a month.
- 1:02So getting back to it, I again, I apologize and hey, I appreciate it.
- 1:07Went out to this download and listen to the podcast.
- 1:09said, I'm working on this is just a work in progress is always going to be.
- 1:13Um, and if you want, you also can start checking out.
- 1:16I'm putting together a YouTube channel.
- 1:18Now the YouTube channels, I got the Ferrari marketplace, the YouTube
- 1:21channel, but I'm also actually doing.
- 1:23It's 65 look it up, it's 60 the word, S I X T Y, the number
- 1:295 Motorsports, look it up.
- 1:30Because that's going to kind of cover everything I go and see.
- 1:33The Ferrari Marketplace itself will just be stuff dedicated to Ferrari, I'm also
- 1:36going to have the Porsche Marketplace.
- 1:38Um, so, just wanted you guys to maybe check those things out,
- 1:41trying to build those up also.
- 1:42And get some things moving forward here.
- 1:45Onward and upward!
- 1:46Today Our topic is my all time favorite Ferrari.
- 1:52I mean it's a close tie between this one and an F40.
- 1:56But this one basically is my favorite since, you know, I was a
- 1:58teenager when this thing came out.
- 2:00But my all time favorite, the 288 GTO.
- 2:05Now this car is legendary, limited build quantities, only made 272 of them.
- 2:10But you know, this car is, you know, it was my poster car.
- 2:14I mean obviously, you know, the F40 came out, that was another one.
- 2:16But, you know, I was You know, 14 years old when this car came out and
- 2:21it got put out there and it's cars just absolutely spectacular and it's
- 2:25something I just lost after and I've been fortunate enough in my life.
- 2:30This is a few years back.
- 2:31I got to drive one once too.
- 2:33So we can talk about that a little bit down the road here.
- 2:35But anyways, it does live up to its.
- 2:38Lives up to it.
- 2:39Definitely.
- 2:39Definitely.
- 2:40So, but anyways, let's talk about the 288 GTO.
- 2:44Now, as we all know, prior to that, the only other car Ferrari put out
- 2:49that carried the moniker GTO, Gran Turismo Obligato, was the 250 GTO.
- 2:56Now, so that, you know, obviously carried a lot of weight, you know, be
- 3:01able to pull off that moniker, having that attached to your, uh, you know,
- 3:05designation to your name of the car, because you know, they had a 250 GTO.
- 3:09That's legendary.
- 3:09I mean, that's beyond legendary.
- 3:11I mean, that's just, I mean, that's like the top of the food chain.
- 3:14Now, some other people argue some other ones, but to me, I think the
- 3:17250 GO is the top of the food chain.
- 3:20But anyways, you know, so it had been close to, what was that, almost 30
- 3:25years since they had actually used that moniker on a car, so they brought it out.
- 3:29Now, some people actually go and say the argument is, or not say the
- 3:35argument, but the history is, oh, they built a 288 to go Group B racing.
- 3:38Well Yes, and no, they actually didn't build that car to
- 3:43specifically go group B racing.
- 3:46They built the car because they were fiddling around and I don't know how
- 3:50many of you are familiar with Italian tax laws and you know circumventing
- 3:55those laws But in the late 70s mid 70s whatnot, you know, Italy's way of taxing
- 4:01the car was on engine displacement So Ferrari's kind of way around that
- 4:06was IE, let's turbocharge the cars.
- 4:09And so they had the 208 that was in Italy that came out with, and it was
- 4:14turbocharged and that was just basically the circumvent kind of tax laws and
- 4:18whatnot, because the engine displacement.
- 4:20So they were like, you know, in discussions and whatnot.
- 4:22And so, you know, getting up a little bit, but, you know, talking
- 4:25with his other people that are involved with their Ferraris, like,
- 4:28Hey, you know, we need to build.
- 4:30You know, uh, is the super car term hyper car?
- 4:35They went to hike you want to call it, you know, really what it was not back then was
- 4:38not, you know, in play It was not being utilized to describe any type of vehicle
- 4:44But you know Ferrari need to be Ferrari.
- 4:47They needed to come out with something that was, you know, legit, you know
- 4:50Hey, this is the you know, you know top of the food chain I'm gonna use
- 4:54that I guess wording by me a little too much but You know, they needed
- 4:58to have something that had power, it could get out there and get up and go.
- 5:01And, you know, in talking, using the car, I said, well, let's turbocharge,
- 5:05we got the eight cylinder, let's, hey, let's go turbocharge that.
- 5:09And they decided, hey, let's go that route.
- 5:12Now, a lot of people also say, and kind of technically it was, the car
- 5:16was kind of derived from the 308, 208.
- 5:20But in actuality, it's a completely new different car
- 5:25from that when they built it.
- 5:27The only thing that remains the same was basically the roof.
- 5:31Um, other than that, everything else, and I think possibly
- 5:34the hood just a little bit.
- 5:35But, um, not completely.
- 5:37But other than that, it was all completely new.
- 5:40Chassis the whole nine yards.
- 5:41They didn't just stick it on something else.
- 5:43Because what they actually did was, this is kind of weird,
- 5:45is they lengthened the roof.
- 5:47The chassis, your wheels, they lengthened the chassis, but shortened the car.
- 5:52So they lengthened it, made it longer, but made it shorter.
- 5:54Also, if you understand what I'm saying.
- 5:56And they also made it wider than the 308.
- 5:58Now, another thing is, this was the first use of carbon fiber.
- 6:03Well, it's Kevlar and fiberglass.
- 6:06You know, kind of the premonitor, precursor to utilizing carbon fiber.
- 6:11So they started to utilize that.
- 6:12But now it was only utilized on the hood.
- 6:16And the roof.
- 6:18So now I say, well, I thought they used the roof for it.
- 6:20Well, they use the same, you know, shape and have the roof there.
- 6:22But they really only use it on the roof and the hood.
- 6:25Everything else was aluminum.
- 6:27And they actually shaved close to, God, what was it?
- 6:31500 kilograms off of this car.
- 6:34Or 500 pounds, roughly.
- 6:36Um, off of that, of the Rio 308.
- 6:39I mean, so, that's a significant amount of weight.
- 6:41On a car that's not very big.
- 6:43So I think it was just, you know, in the 308 form was something that's just a
- 6:46little over, like 3, 100, 3, 300 pounds, and then they got it down to like a
- 6:52little over 600 pounds when they utilized all the lume and everything on the car.
- 6:57So I mean that, that in itself played a major role in making this car perform.
- 7:02So, getting to that, so they obviously designed the body, they stretched out
- 7:06the wheelbase, shortened up the body itself, and they kicked out the tires,
- 7:10and obviously, you know, one reason too is, is they had to be able to accommodate
- 7:14the wider tires they put on there.
- 7:16And obviously for grip, handling, what have you.
- 7:19So, you know, they had to accommodate all that space, so
- 7:21they had to make room for it.
- 7:22So they make everything wider.
- 7:23So what in turn that did, as we all know, gave that car that stance
- 7:28it has, which is just, I mean.
- 7:31You have to know your Ferraris to an extent, I mean, to the layman, they
- 7:34probably wouldn't understand what it is, but everyone knows that when
- 7:36they see it, oh, that's a 288 GTO.
- 7:38I mean, it's subtle enough.
- 7:40It wasn't like super obnoxious and aggressive when they built those in
- 7:44regards to kind of, you know, beefing them up, make them a little more muscular, you
- 7:48know, with the fender flares going on the front and the rear, you know, um, they,
- 7:52they really, really did a, they did a perfect, not a perfect job, but you know,
- 7:56they did a phenomenal, phenomenal job.
- 7:59Not making something that was completely obnoxious.
- 8:02Now the, the one, you know, I guess the thing against it, and this was
- 8:06the problem they were going into a little bit, trying to sell these a
- 8:08little bit in the beginning, even though they had no problem, they ended
- 8:11up selling them all really quick.
- 8:12So, you know, they had to build the, you know, um, the, the 200 cars, because
- 8:17it's got to go back down for the groupie.
- 8:18But anyways, we'll get back to that.
- 8:20Um, but some people, uh, looked at it, then kicked themselves now for it too.
- 8:25It all looks too much like a 308.
- 8:26So they wouldn't go for the car.
- 8:27And it was almost twice as much.
- 8:29Um, so they wouldn't bother with it, but anyways, they had to, you know, again,
- 8:35now when they're building these was more along the lines just to build a real car.
- 8:38But at that time, group B was.
- 8:41You know coming into play and fruition and there's another manufacturer out
- 8:46there It's kind of the same boat that did the same thing with the 959 so The
- 8:51car wasn't they didn't go and say, okay We're gonna build design this car because
- 8:55we want to go group B racing they wanted to build this car to build a you know, a
- 9:00collectible low volume very muscular very fast car and Their thought was then okay.
- 9:07It will You know, fit into the parameters, you know, that we could take it and
- 9:11modify it and go group E racing.
- 9:13So the driving factor in making this car and building it wasn't, hey,
- 9:17we need to build these 200 cars to homologate it to go group E racing.
- 9:21It was, we're gonna build this car and hey, since it'll fit in those
- 9:25parameters and requirements, let's, we can take a group E racing, let's
- 9:29build the 200 that are required.
- 9:30You know, and they end up building the 272.
- 9:33But again, the key thing was, is here, was building the low volume.
- 9:37Make it a highly collectible car, which they did.
- 9:40Um, you know, right now, currently these things trade in, you know, the 3.
- 9:455 to 4 million mark, depending on mileage, shape, whatnot, class
- 9:49C certification, what have you.
- 9:51And they're creeping up, you know, five, six years ago, you were probably at the
- 9:55two and a half million range, you know, that part, you know, so pretty much.
- 9:59Almost any Ferrari Enzo era Ferrari, especially if it's a man, you'll
- 10:03start to grow up, but I mean, you're starting to have the newer ones that
- 10:05are coming out too, that are just.
- 10:07You know, uh, I've seen like getting up there in price, but
- 10:10you know, and that's what it is, you know, that's how they do it.
- 10:13They only build X amount and their waiting list is absolutely scary.
- 10:17So trying to get it is just nuts.
- 10:19I mean, the only way you get in line to be able to come for our customer and
- 10:23start buying old for buying used ones.
- 10:25So, you know, and to be able to be on the list to buy.
- 10:30The, like say the LaFerraris that come out, what have you,
- 10:33they're such limited numbers.
- 10:34I mean, you got to be the top of the food chain in regards to a Ferrari
- 10:37collector and to start that out, you know, hey, you got to start buying the
- 10:40cars and start having your collection.
- 10:42You got to have five, six, seven of them and you can't just have some
- 10:46like a 348 or something like that.
- 10:48No, you got to have The big dogs and be able to kind of get in that line
- 10:52to be able to get considered for it.
- 10:54Cause those ones, you know, they choose you, you know, and they really
- 10:58monitor what you do with your cars also and how you present because
- 11:02you're representing their brand.
- 11:04It's kind of, it's, it's really interesting how they go about.
- 11:07Handling the brand itself in regards to an ownership side of it now, not to say that.
- 11:13Hey, you know, anyone, you know, if you have the money, hey, you can go buy one.
- 11:16But I said, if you really want to work up the food chain there and
- 11:18get, you know, in line to be able to own and get that phone call from,
- 11:24you know, the Ferrari North American president or what have you saying?
- 11:27Oh, hey, Mr.
- 11:28So and so, you know.
- 11:29This is coming out.
- 11:30This is, you know, top secret, blah, blah, blah.
- 11:32We're going to invite you to this showing, yada, yada, yada, you know,
- 11:33that kind of jazz, you know what I mean?
- 11:35That takes a while to get to it and you got to have a lot
- 11:37of money, let me tell you.
- 11:39But anyways, let's get back to the 288.
- 11:42So anyways, you know, this car was built and designed and it was, as
- 11:46I said, it was again more along the lines to they wanted to build.
- 11:49Their next, you know, hot thing, so to speak, you know, their, their car.
- 11:53So it just happened.
- 11:54The fact is, Hey, this will fit in the parameters, go group B racing.
- 11:58And we'll get back to the group B homologation stuff a little bit later,
- 12:00because they do end up making a, I wouldn't say modify, but they make
- 12:05the 288 GTO evolution that is, was.
- 12:09Basically designed and made to go for groupie racing You know, I made six
- 12:14of them, but obviously with the demise of group B at the time wise what not
- 12:18that's all they end up Making was that was it so and I've really got utilized
- 12:22for what was for and those things are, you know Very highly collectible also
- 12:26because they only made six so that is something also to keep it out there It's
- 12:32a really different interesting looking car in regards to how they modified it.
- 12:35They went, you know The aerodynamics, the Venturi tunnels.
- 12:38I mean, they went extreme on that car in regards to making it competitive.
- 12:42And it would have been cool, really cool to see that thing running
- 12:46in a rally event like the Monte Carlo or something like that.
- 12:48Because, you know, you kind of think, Oh, well you look at WRC
- 12:52now, you know, you see the cars in a four wheel drive, all this stuff.
- 12:54Well, back then, you know, obviously Audi was the one coming in with the four
- 12:57wheel drive, but you know, a lot of the majority of everything was, you know,
- 13:00where we'll drive with Lancia and the Oh three, seven dollar was the one that
- 13:03was the last car, rear wheel drive car.
- 13:06To win the, uh, uh, rally championship, you know, then everything started going
- 13:10to four wheel drive, but you know, then they had those monster group B stuff.
- 13:14And I tell you what, if you never have go onto YouTube, look up group B
- 13:18rally and watch some of these videos.
- 13:20It's insane.
- 13:21Not only watching these people drive, but watch the spectators.
- 13:25These people are nuts in regards to how close to like stand out in the road.
- 13:28I mean, it's insane.
- 13:30What these people do.
- 13:31I mean, it's absolutely nuts, but anyways, let's get back to
- 13:34my favorite car, the 288 GTO now.
- 13:38The cool thing about the GTO is, you know, the 288 GTO is the fact is,
- 13:42you know, it's not that big of a car.
- 13:44Now, I don't know if you've ever seen one in person or got up to
- 13:47it, but it's not that big of a car.
- 13:49But the one thing is, it's very comfortable.
- 13:51Now, the one thing you do is, you sit very, I don't want to say upright.
- 13:56You, you, you know, you're not sitting in the car.
- 13:58You're almost kind of sitting on top of it.
- 14:00If you can understand what I'm saying, you know, and the steering wheel is fixed.
- 14:05So it's not like this has got, you know, a button or a lever on there where he can
- 14:09tilt and you know, all that, you know, the steering wheel or telescope or anything.
- 14:14Nope.
- 14:14It's fixed to where it's at.
- 14:16So you get in there again.
- 14:18You, you, you sit up top and say, I, I don't know if you've ever had a
- 14:21chance to sit in one, but if you ever sat in like a 3 0 8 or something like
- 14:23that, it's kind of the same feeling.
- 14:24You, you sit up on it.
- 14:26It's kind of an odd feeling.
- 14:27You're not sitting in it because again, you know, this car's not like a, a tub.
- 14:31It's not a carbon fiber tub.
- 14:32How they built it and get down there, you know how this thing is made.
- 14:35It's on a, you know, this chassis that's made onto, so
- 14:37you're kinda sitting up on it.
- 14:39It takes a little bit of getting used to.
- 14:42Um, and if you're taller than 6 foot, you're gonna be in there tight.
- 14:47I will tell you that.
- 14:48I'm 6'1 and my head's hitting the top, what not.
- 14:52But I didn't care because, hey, I was getting to drive it.
- 14:54And again, you know, leg room wise, what not.
- 14:56You know, first of all, the Italians I'm not saying this in any type of racial
- 15:03profiling way or something, you know, they were a bit smaller, you know, and
- 15:06shorter, and especially back in the 80s, you know, so they were kind of, I don't
- 15:09want to say building it for them, but, you know, basically you got your designer
- 15:12and manufacturer and engineers, they're kind of building it around themselves.
- 15:14So, the car's a bit on the smaller side, so if you're taller than 6'1
- 15:19you're not going to be comfortable.
- 15:21You're not going to be driving this thing all that much.
- 15:22But, and again, on the other side though, like for me, I didn't care
- 15:25because, hey, it's my dream car, and you'll tolerate that stuff.
- 15:29Now, I don't see myself being able to take one and go for a drive across country in
- 15:32it because, oh my god, I'd probably just be dead after about an hour of my back.
- 15:36But, anyways, it's an interesting driving position that you're in.
- 15:40Now, all these cars, they're all built in red.
- 15:43All of them are red.
- 15:45There was one black one that was done special, but the 271 of them were
- 15:50all red, all with black interior.
- 15:53So if you see one that's a different color, um, and if you see that black
- 15:58one, you got to find out if it's actually the true black one that was built.
- 16:01But if you see in some other color, like there's some white ones out there,
- 16:04some yellow ones, you know, they're, they're a wrap or they got repainted.
- 16:07So don't let anyone tell you differently.
- 16:10No factory, all I built was 271 reds and one black.
- 16:14Now I've tried to dig into that to find out why or who
- 16:19was that one black one was for.
- 16:20And I really couldn't find much on it, which I was a little bit surprised.
- 16:25Um, cause you would think that that would be pretty easy to find cause you know,
- 16:34out of that car and do it is um, Do it.
- 16:40So now I know some people say that none were done in black, but you know, um, From
- 16:47what I could tell they they One was black.
- 16:52So I don't know why I don't know how they pulled it off But someone did but
- 16:56there's one black when it came from the factory Don't let me tell you differently
- 16:59because there was one that was came in black but anyway, so we got a v8 Twin
- 17:06turbo IHI turbo chargers that put out there now they were using on the other
- 17:11cars like when they did that two away It was the KKK stuff and that but for I guess
- 17:16engineering purposes I guess you could say and just build fit in the car and
- 17:20how these is the IHI's were a better fit Because they needed to fit that vehicle.
- 17:27They need to fit the motor in there So and the car the engine itself they fit
- 17:34that thing in there Uh, longitudinally, if I'm saying that correctly and probably
- 17:38not, uh, sorry about my pronunciation, but you know, hey, that's, it is what it is.
- 17:45But anyways, to fit that in there and how that engine was placed in there,
- 17:49you know, the IHI's were just a better fit for them and it got in there.
- 17:53So a nice, nice tight packaging and getting in there.
- 17:56And with that you have about, you know, the easy numbers, 400 horsepower,
- 18:01it's usually about 395 to 400.
- 18:03I'd say somewhere in that range.
- 18:05Basically 400 horsepower and 369 foot pounds of torque.
- 18:09So you got a nice power to it.
- 18:10Now, obviously that thing not weighing much, what not.
- 18:12Now, you know, you think, oh, that thing should be going three seconds.
- 18:15Well, you know, it was a different time, what not.
- 18:17But back then, zero to 60 in five seconds, that was fast.
- 18:21And that was very fast.
- 18:23And so, you know, that car was quick for back in its day.
- 18:26Now, You know, you had a lot of other cars that were kind of getting up there.
- 18:30I don't know, now this day and age you got cameras that could go faster than that.
- 18:32But you know, you got to remember the time frame you're looking at.
- 18:35And again, it's about the experience because you're talking about a car,
- 18:38you know, so analog, you know, no power steering, no power brakes, no nothing.
- 18:43I mean, it's just, just you and the car, the steering wheel and
- 18:46the pedals, which I just love.
- 18:47You know, to me, that's what it needs to be.
- 18:50So it is, you know, that analog driving experience.
- 18:54And I don't know.
- 18:56You need anyone listening, get back out there and find something that's like that.
- 19:00You know, I always tell people the story, you know, like me and my first, uh,
- 19:03me and my wife got, first got together and, uh, we got married, you know, but
- 19:07when we first dated and married for the first three years, we were together.
- 19:10Well, I think the first five years together, she had a Saturn
- 19:14SL1, five speed, just bare bones, you know, first car.
- 19:18She bought herself after she graduated college, everything that.
- 19:21She's gonna love that car, but by the time we got together what not we bought
- 19:24our house what not that thing had a hundred and 37, 000 miles an hour, but
- 19:28no power steering, had power brakes, but you know, five speed manual and whatnot.
- 19:32You know, I think it barely had 100 horsepower, but you know, I
- 19:34love driving that thing because it just, it was so analog and
- 19:38just ringing the shit out of it.
- 19:39I mean, it was just, I dug it.
- 19:41It was fun.
- 19:41I mean, you could, you know, scream that thing up there in the RPM
- 19:44range and have some fun with it.
- 19:46You know, now obviously the 280 GT was no Saturn and shoot me now.
- 19:51I apologize for it.
- 19:52I'm not comparing it.
- 19:53Don't even go there.
- 19:53I'm not comparing it to that.
- 19:55Not even close.
- 19:56God knows two opposite sides of the spectrum, but just saying is the analog
- 20:01driving experience that you get is Second to none, you know, it's one of those
- 20:05things where you know, you feel the road you feel the car you feel it Do it.
- 20:09It's not sterilized.
- 20:11It's not dumbed down.
- 20:12So to speak, you know, it's you feel what's going on And you know, it's
- 20:16just such a better driving experience and you just drove it drive, you know,
- 20:19enjoy it that much more So anyways, so getting back to the car now we're talking
- 20:24about, you know, uh, you know, sidewise, you know, they had the, on the tires
- 20:28that they had a two piece speed line, aluminum wheels that they put on there.
- 20:32And, you know, these things were actually center lock, center hubs, they're not a,
- 20:35you know, five lug nut thing like that.
- 20:36No, those were, it's a center lock wheel.
- 20:39So, which is really cool.
- 20:40It gives it that, that real, really cool look on it.
- 20:43So, you had the tires going on the back there and you had
- 20:47the 225, 50, 16s at the front.
- 20:49You had the 255, 50, 16s at the rear.
- 20:52So yeah, 16 inch wheels on this thing now this day and age.
- 20:55Oh, I was rolling on 20s You know, but hey, you know, it's
- 20:57actually size wise what not, you know, it fits it good fits it.
- 21:01Perfect again You know, the car is what it is, you know, and it's just, it's,
- 21:08to me, it's, I can say perfect, no car's absolutely perfect, but to me, in my
- 21:12eyes, that thing's pretty dang close.
- 21:14Doesn't have the obnoxious wings on it, does everything like that, nice
- 21:17and subtle, it's got that nice, I want to say ducktail spoiler on the back.
- 21:21You know, just giving it some of that aerodynamic, you know,
- 21:24capability, some downforce to it, so.
- 21:26But again, you know, it's not People aren't taking these cars
- 21:30out of Radio Basin and driving them at 180 miles an hour.
- 21:32Ain't happening.
- 21:34You know, these cars, you're meeting your crews.
- 21:35Yeah, you're going to get over a hundred whatnot, but yeah, you might
- 21:38get over a little bit, but the lift and that thing gets taken care of
- 21:40by the aerodynamics on this car.
- 21:42Now, the one unique thing, and this kind of goes back to the group B
- 21:45aspect of it is the headlights on it.
- 21:47Now it does have the pop up headlights, but also has those four headlights that
- 21:51I guess you would say are in the lower valance of the front bumper, so to speak.
- 21:56Um, again, that was.
- 21:58For in essence that if they were going to go group B racing, you'll need to
- 22:01have the lighting and stuff like that.
- 22:02And you had to incorporate these things into it.
- 22:04So hence that's why those lights are, but it gives that really cool, unique fun.
- 22:07I look to it and you really don't ever have to use a pop up headlights.
- 22:10So, which is great.
- 22:11Now, the other cool thing is if you look behind the rear wheels,
- 22:14you'll see the three slats in it.
- 22:15That's kind of homage to the two 50 GTO.
- 22:18And those are functional.
- 22:19That's for, you know, letting the heat out, whatnot for the
- 22:22rear engine that's back there.
- 22:24So keep that in mind.
- 22:26kind of gives you a little idea of what it is.
- 22:28And, you know, again, interior wise, you got the legendary, you know, gated
- 22:32box that, again, if you ever get the opportunity to drive a manual Ferrari,
- 22:37that click, click, click, click, going in and out is just, it's phenomenal.
- 22:40I mean, it's, it's a, it's a really, really cool feeling
- 22:44experience and sound once you do it.
- 22:45I mean, it's a lot of fun.
- 22:46I highly recommend it.
- 22:48If you get the opportunity, definitely, definitely.
- 22:51Take it and do it.
- 22:52So, but anyways, that's kind of all I want to talk about that on the 288 GTO.
- 22:57Um, I might ramble a little too much on it.
- 22:59I apologize, but you know, I just love that car.
- 23:01It's phenomenal.
- 23:02You know, I definitely look up, watch some videos of it.
- 23:04It's a, it's a interesting car to check out and listen to.
- 23:08And like I said, you know, It's a very, very unique car.
- 23:11Um, you know, it's in that, I would say the, I don't want to say the
- 23:14trifecta, but that, you know, the Holy Grail of Ferrari family, the 2.
- 23:198 GTO F40, F50, uh, Enzo LaFerrari.
- 23:22So, you know, it's, it's in that whole, you know, little group there
- 23:26that, you know, if you're a lucky enough person to own all those cars,
- 23:28you're doing quite well in your life.
- 23:30Um, but anyways, I'm going to wrap it up with that.
- 23:34Um, I'm going to go and watch today the second part.
- 23:37Second practice session for the Miami Grand Prix because that's
- 23:39what's going on this weekend.
- 23:41So hey, I'm excited about that It looks pretty cool.
- 23:43Watch the first practice session, but that's about all I have to say on that and
- 23:48the next episode We're gonna talk about my second I guess you would say my I want
- 23:53to say second favorite but almost like, you know Say I got my tie there going
- 23:56out to a but do a 28 GTO is a little bit farther ahead You know just a smidge.
- 23:59But anyways, it's a f40 now again.
- 24:02This is another one I had to drive I didn't get to drive fast But I got
- 24:06to drive around a parking lot real quick and even that was Uh, enough.
- 24:09I just, I about, I couldn't believe it that I was having that opportunity.
- 24:12And yes, the person that I drove both those was the same person.
- 24:15They own both those cars.
- 24:16There was one person.
- 24:17So they were kind enough to let me test them out.
- 24:19So anyways, that's what the next episode is going to be about.
- 24:22We're going to talk about the F40.
- 24:23But anyways, that's wrapping up on the 288 GTO.
- 24:26I appreciate everybody listening.
- 24:28Uh, I really, really do.
- 24:29So hey, and remember, spread the word.
- 24:31Send it out there.
- 24:32Tag, like, or whatever that is on, you know, to let know when new episodes
- 24:35drop so you can listen to those.
- 24:37And if you want to check out the, uh, YouTube channel, got a bunch of videos up.
- 24:42Like I said, you can check out the Ferrari marketplace or you can check out 65
- 24:44Motorsports and look at what's going on.
- 24:46I got some new stuff I just posted from the other weekend, uh, at a cars and
- 24:49coffee I attended and I got, uh, IMSA coming up here to mid Ohio next weekend.
- 24:54I'm going to head down to get some videos posted on that.
- 24:56But again, I appreciate everybody listening.
- 24:58Take care.
