- 0:00Incredibly awesome music to bring you some incredibly
- 0:02awesome political talk on damn radio Hello, good
- 0:07morning and welcome.
- 0:09I am Samuel Trapp.
- 0:11This is International flavor you are listening to
- 0:15damn radio Now I just wanted to let
- 0:18you know this is my first show in
- 0:20the morning and things have not gone as
- 0:23planned I am starting a half an hour
- 0:26late.
- 0:26Normally the show time will be 730 a
- 0:30.m. In the morning.
- 0:32So I Had a little bit of unforeseen
- 0:36weather unforeseen Circumstances and things did not go
- 0:42as planned at any rate here we are
- 0:44and there's plenty to do and plenty to
- 0:46talk about and I've had a an interesting
- 0:50Thanksgiving week just back basically took a week
- 0:53off basically from the show I Did some
- 0:57running around got some things done haven't been
- 1:00feeling well all kinds of stuff So I
- 1:04want to jump right into it.
- 1:05There's plenty of Discussion going on.
- 1:09There's I want to cover today some of
- 1:12the our Whitcoff is in Moscow and is
- 1:18supposed to meet with Putin has been meeting
- 1:22with Them there are plenty plenty of timeline
- 1:26updates in there to go through but what
- 1:30I wanted to start with today is going
- 1:33through the Ultimatum there was a Russian plan
- 1:41that was an eight-point plan that was
- 1:44put out in the first part of December
- 1:49of 2021 this was before You know the
- 1:56increase hostilities have been going on since 2014
- 1:59now in America nobody knew that you know
- 2:03Are they I shouldn't say nobody but a
- 2:05few of us knew that or had been
- 2:08following that beforehand About what was really going
- 2:12on in the massive expansion of NATO eastward
- 2:15since 91 when I was a Nuclear testing
- 2:21guy or arms control guy interpreter, and so
- 2:26I wanted to Talk about a little bit
- 2:31about this ultimatum and share with you an
- 2:34article from Well there were several articles, but
- 2:39I chose this one that I would like
- 2:42to share with you that was From the
- 2:47Guardian that was put out on December 17th
- 2:56of 2021 and It's it's not horribly long,
- 3:02so I'm gonna share it with you if
- 3:05the Whole thing is here Let's see Yeah,
- 3:12it appears that the The whole article sometimes
- 3:16you start reading them And then they want
- 3:18you to pay for something to get the
- 3:20older articles And so this was written by
- 3:22a guy named Andrew Roth who was in
- 3:25Moscow wrote this from Moscow back way back
- 3:28when and then the Basically there was a
- 3:35highly Oh Discussed peace formula or
- 3:44Formula for more of an ultimatum a lot
- 3:47of people framed it as an ultimatum from
- 3:50the Russian side back in December of 2021
- 3:55you know Russia had talked about red lines
- 3:59forever and talked about what was what was
- 4:01what was going on by the way if
- 4:04you feel like calling in is five seven
- 4:05three seven four six eighty twenty and I'd
- 4:09be happy to chat with you about this
- 4:11or anything else, but basically this was a
- 4:16security plan put forward by By Russia that
- 4:21says look you know we've been watching this
- 4:24go on for 30 years now and and
- 4:26you guys haven't done a damn thing you
- 4:28said you were gonna do and On the
- 4:33on the western side you've treated us like
- 4:35enemies we're not and so but if you
- 4:39want to treat us that way perhaps we
- 4:41should go back to the way it was
- 4:43under the Soviet Union non confrontation non Non
- 4:48pressure points you know all this stuff so
- 4:50anyway There's and I'm a little under the
- 4:53weather still so if I'm sniffling I apologize
- 4:56for that but Russia I'll share this article
- 5:00with you Russia has put forward a Highly
- 5:06contentious is what he calls it list of
- 5:09security guarantees that it wants the West to
- 5:12agree to in order to lower tensions in
- 5:15Europe and defuse the crisis over Ukraine Including
- 5:21many elements that have already been ruled out
- 5:25the demands include a ban on Ukraine entering
- 5:30NATO and a limit to the Deployment of
- 5:33troops and weapons to NATO's eastern flank in
- 5:38effect returning NATO forces to where they were
- 5:41stationed in 1997 before an eastward expanse in
- 5:48the eight-point draft treaty was released by
- 5:53Russia's foreign ministry as Its forces masked within
- 5:57striking distance of Ukraine's borders Moscow said ignoring
- 6:02its interests Let's see here would lead to
- 6:11a military response similar to the Cuban Missile
- 6:15Crisis of 1962 Vladimir Putin demanded that the
- 6:20West provide Russia legal guarantees of its security
- 6:25But the Kremlin's aggressive proposals are likely to
- 6:29be rejected in Western capitals as an attempt
- 6:33to formalize a new Russian sphere of influence
- 6:37over Eastern Europe The demands spelled out by
- 6:42Moscow in full for the first time were
- 6:45handed over to the US this week They
- 6:48include a demand Darn it.
- 6:51I'm scrolling bad They Include a demand that
- 6:59NATO remove any troops or weapons deployed to
- 7:02countries that entered the alliance after 1997 which
- 7:08would include much of Eastern Europe including Poland
- 7:13the former Soviet countries of Estonia, Lithuania Latvia
- 7:17and the Balkan countries Russia has demanded that
- 7:22NATO rule out further expansion including the accession
- 7:27of Ukraine into the alliance and That it
- 7:31does not hold drills without previous agreement from
- 7:34Russia in Ukraine Eastern Europe or in Caucasus
- 7:38countries such as Georgia or Central Asia now
- 7:43Russia complained about that ever since they Stopped
- 7:48there was immediate Attempts to go to all
- 7:51these countries and get them to allow NATO
- 7:54to start putting weapons in there we started
- 7:57all of the all of the discussions with
- 8:01that and so these Proposals are likely to
- 8:07be viewed extremely negatively by NATO countries in
- 8:10particular Poland and the Baltic States now, I've
- 8:14been report I reported to you from one
- 8:16of the Baltic states back in September and
- 8:19They're extremely and they weren't they didn't used
- 8:22to be but they're very anti right you
- 8:24can't even speak Russian over there They have
- 8:26a cow, you know, it's nonsense But but
- 8:29they're very very anti Russia and it doesn't
- 8:33make a whole lot of sense that they
- 8:35are Well, they have warned that Russia is
- 8:40attempting to reassess these proposals They have warned
- 8:46that Russia is attempting to reestablish its sphere
- 8:49of influence in the region and View this
- 8:52document as proof that Moscow is seeking to
- 8:56limit their sovereignty Hard not to agree with
- 9:00that but the the big boys on the
- 9:02block or the u.s I mean do
- 9:05they have any sovereignty as far as the
- 9:06u.s. Is concerned?
- 9:08You could probably take the opposite view of
- 9:10that that they're those small countries, especially the
- 9:15pre Baltic II Latvia Lithuania Estonia are certainly
- 9:22not Independent let's call it that they are
- 9:27not independent.
- 9:28They are subject to Everything, you know and
- 9:31they are goading and they're goading Russia with
- 9:35the backing of the u.s. Nowadays So
- 9:39at the time though It said a senior
- 9:41u.s. Official said on Friday that the
- 9:44Kremlin knows that some parts of its proposal
- 9:47were unacceptable The NATO had it at the
- 9:51time.
- 9:51Anyway, Jen Stoltenberg has already ruled out any
- 9:56Agreement denying Ukraine the right to enter the
- 9:59military alliance Alliance saying it is up to
- 10:03Ukraine and the 30 NATO countries Which at
- 10:07the time geez there were only I can't
- 10:10remember the exact amount I want to say
- 10:1119 NATO countries in 97 and Everybody made
- 10:16a real strong effort in all geez George
- 10:18Bush one Now we won't go one inch
- 10:21to the to the east, you know We
- 10:24will and then many other promises from from
- 10:26the West.
- 10:27There are already major obstacles to Ukraine entering
- 10:31the alliance including its territorial dispute with Russia
- 10:36over Crimea the Russian document also calls for
- 10:43the two countries to pull back any short
- 10:46or Intermediate or medium-range missile systems out
- 10:51of reach of each other replacing the previous
- 10:55INF treaty that the u.s. Left in
- 10:592018 White House press secretary Jen Psaki said
- 11:04that the u.s. Had seen proposals from
- 11:07Russia to start talks and was speaking with
- 11:10its European allies and partners and She said
- 11:14there will be no talks on European security
- 11:17without our European allies and partners the Russian
- 11:23Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Rybakov said on Friday
- 11:27that there was no deadline for talks But
- 11:30that Russia wants to begin negotiation without delay
- 11:35and without Stalling we can go any place
- 11:39and any time Even tomorrow he said in
- 11:43animated remarks Asked whether he thought the requests
- 11:47were unreasonable.
- 11:48He said no, this is not about us
- 11:51giving some kind of ultimatum There is none.
- 11:54The thing is that the seriousness of our
- 11:57warning should not be underestimated He said no
- 12:03The reason I'm sharing this with you is
- 12:06because I want you to fast forward to
- 12:07everything that has gone on Today and we're
- 12:11not quite done.
- 12:12We have a few more paragraphs to go
- 12:14here But I want you to be paying
- 12:18attention to this because of current events Dimitri
- 12:23Trenin the head of the Carnegie Moscow Center
- 12:25Wrote that Russia's public release of its proposed
- 12:29agreement may suggest that Moscow rightly considers their
- 12:34acceptance by the West Unlikely this logically means
- 12:39that Russia will have to assure its security
- 12:42single-handedly most probably by military technical means
- 12:48he wrote Western countries have warned that Russia
- 12:53may be preparing an invasion of Ukraine in
- 12:57January as Russian tanks artillery and missiles have
- 13:00mass near the borders Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky
- 13:05has called on the West for additional aid
- 13:08in case Russia decides to launch a broader
- 13:12offensive on Friday Ukraine said that this old
- 13:17what one of its soldiers was killed during
- 13:19fighting with Russian-backed separatists in the east
- 13:24of the country He was reportedly killed in
- 13:27an attack using grenade launchers and mortars The
- 13:31latest death brings Ukraine's toll in the simmering
- 13:35conflict to 65 since the start of the
- 13:38year according to a tally based on official
- 13:42Figner figures compared with 50 in 2020 the
- 13:48conflict in Ukraine has so far left more
- 13:52than 13,000 people dead And that this
- 13:56was in 2021 Beforehand Russia has massed about
- 14:00100,000 troops on its side of the
- 14:03border Joe Biden has worn port Putin of
- 14:07sanctions like he's never seen Should his troops
- 14:12attack Ukraine on Thursday?
- 14:15European leaders urged Moscow to halt its military
- 14:19build-up and return to talks led by
- 14:23France and Germany so that article was in
- 14:29December of 2021 beforehand, okay, and the release
- 14:37of the Documents, where is it?
- 14:42Has several key points right and most of
- 14:46those key points were Go back to where
- 14:49it was in 1997 so then on December
- 14:531st It said that during a ceremony for
- 14:57the presentation of credentials by foreign ambassadors Putin
- 15:01defined obtaining security guarantees from the West as
- 15:06the top priority for Russian military, I'm sorry
- 15:09Ministry of Foreign Affairs He emphasized that legal
- 15:16Guarantees are needed because our Western colleagues failed
- 15:20to fulfill Verbal commitments they have made over
- 15:24time December the 2nd in Stockholm Russian Foreign
- 15:30Minister Sergei Lavrov issued the ultimatum To the
- 15:35West stating that Ukraine is being pumped with
- 15:37weapons way back then and the nightmare scenario
- 15:41of military confrontation is returning Lavrov Threatened they
- 15:47say here ignoring Russia's legitimate concerns drawing Ukraine
- 15:52into the u.s. geopolitical games against the
- 15:56backdrop of NATO forces Being deployed in close
- 16:00proximity to our borders will have the most
- 16:03serious Consequences and will force us to take
- 16:07countermeasures to restore the military strategic Balance the
- 16:13alternative to this could be long-term security
- 16:17guarantees on our western border Which should be
- 16:21viewed as an imperative requirement?
- 16:24I think it's very well put quit expanding
- 16:27eastward and Everything will be fine, but you
- 16:31don't do it and so on December 17
- 16:33of 2021 remember The Russian Ministry of Foreign
- 16:38Affairs published on its website draft agreements entitled
- 16:42the treaty between the Russian Federation and the
- 16:47United States of America on security guarantees and
- 16:52agreement on measures to ensure the security of
- 16:56the Russian Federation and member states of the
- 17:02North Atlantic Treaty Organization now that Agreement, let's
- 17:08see.
- 17:08I was trying to find the the full
- 17:11text of that agreement and Running a little
- 17:15slow this morning here But I still want
- 17:18to try to find it if I can
- 17:20and while I'm looking for it.
- 17:23I'll tell you this this was the has
- 17:27been the same old same old from the
- 17:30point of view of the Russians, you know
- 17:37here here's how we have put that together
- 17:40this they have been saying quit expanding quit
- 17:44going and what they're saying now with Whitkoff
- 17:49being in In Russia Is that some of
- 17:56these same things are being discussed now?
- 18:00And they're saying we don't need the agreement
- 18:04in NATO all we really need is the
- 18:07agreement of Donald Trump and so there was
- 18:12and and again I like to follow these
- 18:14timelines and what I may do is go
- 18:17through some of these timelines for you and
- 18:24Go from the very beginning of all of
- 18:27that because It has been Quite a Quite
- 18:35a a change in what they and you
- 18:39know, here's like for example we have There's
- 18:43no more there's there's no more I think
- 18:46I think it's fair to say that nobody
- 18:48is claiming that OG Ukraine is gonna is
- 18:52gonna win in fact a guy that I
- 18:57Tell you about all the time Alexei Rastovich
- 19:01is now in in the In the news
- 19:06he has said Ukraine has lost as as
- 19:12Early as February of this year You remember
- 19:16when I was talking to you Ukraine has
- 19:18lost the armed conflict with Russia due to
- 19:22the inability of the Ukrainian people to take
- 19:24personal Responsibility for their failures says Alexei Rastovich
- 19:29a former aide to Zelensky He expects the
- 19:33u.s. Russia and China to decide on
- 19:36a resolution without consulting Kiev Rastovich resigned from
- 19:41his government post in 2023 after contradicting the
- 19:46ridge the critical official narrative around a missile
- 19:50incident Now he's a critic of the Zelensky
- 19:54administration and Back in February.
- 19:59He argued That the Changing tone of Western
- 20:05discourse about Ukraine has signaled a significant policy
- 20:09change US President Trump will sort things out
- 20:13with Putin and Xi Jinping without consulting us
- 20:18Because engaging with those who deny reality is
- 20:22futile He wrote we have lost the war
- 20:26due to our own stupidity pride and stubbornness
- 20:29In truth, we have defeated ourselves Erastovich added
- 20:34we have created a society of mutual hatred
- 20:38and intolerance in which every Individual is right
- 20:41and everyone collectively is to blame At that
- 20:46time he cited several recent news stories calling
- 20:49them a wake-up call For Ukrainians to
- 20:52acknowledge defeat and their role in it Keith
- 20:56Kellogg Trump's special envoy this back in February
- 21:00has called on Kiev to resume presidential and
- 21:03parliamentary elections that was back in February conservative
- 21:08US political commentator Tucker Carlson branded Ukrainian leader
- 21:13a Dictator remember that during a debate with
- 21:17British television Host Piers Morgan Additionally Washington's decision
- 21:22in January to suspend foreign aid programs Forced
- 21:27many Ukrainian NGOs and media outlets to solicit
- 21:30Private donations to avoid their own shutdowns And
- 21:35so they have experienced some of that public
- 21:38statements and media report suggests Trump seeks a
- 21:40freeze the Ukraine conflict blah blah blah and
- 21:45But even back in February and this has
- 21:48been going on for a while the Ukrainian
- 21:50military is plagued by large-scale desertion poor
- 21:55morale while Russia continues to advance meanwhile Zelensky
- 22:01has called on Kiev backers to deploy 200
- 22:05,000 troops as peacekeepers.
- 22:07He urged Trump to adopt peace through strength
- 22:10and Nonsense and Whitkoff Well, he's never been
- 22:16a huge.
- 22:17Well.
- 22:18I have never been a huge fan of
- 22:20the old of the old Whitkoff but Now
- 22:28fast forward till November you know just last
- 22:35week Zelensky wanted his European backers at MIT
- 22:39meetings, you know, he can't can't talk anymore
- 22:42Now Whitkoff is in Moscow When We'll see
- 22:49what happens now, but it's a completely different
- 22:54Statement than it was before and so if
- 22:57you go back through I wanted to go
- 23:00through the timeline Where are we this is?
- 23:05As of December the This is pretty much
- 23:14current as it is Going on, but we're
- 23:18gonna go back all the way through yesterday
- 23:20and see some of these Where they start
- 23:25because there's a lot of video and there's
- 23:26a lot of things that were going on
- 23:29And so Putin welcomes US envoy to Moscow
- 23:33for Ukraine Steve Whitkoff is expected to present
- 23:37an updated American back peace plan so After
- 23:44weeks of talks the focus of the u
- 23:47.s. Led peace initiative is moving to Moscow
- 23:50So Putin is set to welcome Steve Whitkoff
- 23:55the u.s. Special presidential envoy to discuss
- 23:58a plan for resolving the Ukraine conflict The
- 24:02discussion is expected to focus on the key
- 24:05parts of the American back peace framework Which
- 24:09initially was a 28-point draft that was
- 24:12leaked to the media last month leaving Zelensky's
- 24:17Western European backers blindsided and sidelined since then
- 24:23Zelensky's inner circle is Exposed as corrupt and
- 24:28his forces have suffered significant territorial losses on
- 24:33the front line and the alleged initial peace
- 24:36document has been the subject of several rounds
- 24:38of talks and What they call in Russia
- 24:41megaphone diplomacy Meaning only in the media or
- 24:46social media and not through official channels Whitkoff
- 24:50met a Ukrainian delegation Minus Andrei Yermak who
- 24:54has been fired in Florida for four hours
- 24:59Which officials describe as productive but media sources
- 25:02said we're not easy Although Zelensky has officially
- 25:06ruled out any concessions to Moscow The talks
- 25:10are expected to focus on territorial questions that
- 25:14have been exacerbated by Kiev's multiple frontline setbacks
- 25:19Maximus to maximalistic demands from the EU and
- 25:24diplomacy of the US now If anybody is
- 25:30finally beginning to engage in a little bit
- 25:32of diplomacy with Russia It is the United
- 25:36States.
- 25:36Finally, they're starting to Talk a little bit.
- 25:41No, you know, I've complained about this forever
- 25:44that it's just not not happened So Whitkoff
- 25:48and Dmitry of this is the start of
- 25:51it Came along and I'm gonna go through
- 25:53a bunch of these Whitkoff and Dmitry have
- 25:56had lunch at a restaurant in downtown Moscow
- 26:00Footage shows the two men in their age
- 26:04walking to the Central Universal Department store soon
- 26:09not far from Kremlin and Then the talks
- 26:15between Ukraine and US officials revolve larger year
- 26:19around personal security issues No, what did I
- 26:22just share with you about the personal security
- 26:26or?
- 26:27issues rather than the country's broader national incidents
- 26:31said Alexei Aristovich a former top aide of
- 26:36Zelensky.
- 26:37I think the conversation is about security guarantees
- 26:41for Zelensky he said that any pledges from
- 26:45the West in this regard are supposed to
- 26:47be short-lived Aristovich argued that Washington is
- 26:52genuinely seeking to end the conflict soon Even
- 26:57though hostilities may continue for several more months
- 27:01he added that Ukraine should not view the
- 27:04reported 28 US peace plan 20th point as
- 27:09Capitulation and he says now and remember what
- 27:12I shared with you what he said in
- 27:13February this he says now This is the
- 27:17price for incompetent policies and thieving over all
- 27:2234 years of Ukrainian independence a Price is
- 27:26not that high compared to all the crimes
- 27:30committed against our country says Aristovich now I
- 27:35Frankly, I agree with him.
- 27:36It's a Ukraine is corrupt corrupt corrupt That's
- 27:39why they couldn't be in NATO in the
- 27:41first place They shouldn't be an EU in
- 27:44the first place till they fix that and
- 27:45that's what they were talking back in 2020
- 27:492021 and then when Russia finally said look
- 27:52we've had enough of this crap quit doing
- 27:55NATO Exercises and increasing NATO influence in Ukraine
- 28:00or we're gonna do something about it Then
- 28:02we pushed and pushed and pushed and pushed
- 28:04and here's where we are Okay, that was
- 28:07years 30 years of incompetent practices by the
- 28:13United States frankly From the time that I
- 28:16was involved in that stuff arms control and
- 28:19all we did Everything that we talked about
- 28:22in the 90s when I was involved has
- 28:24been Completely for lack of a better word
- 28:27shit can it's not it's not we didn't
- 28:30do any of it any of the promises
- 28:32We made not all the cut all the
- 28:35treaties We signed don't exist and and we
- 28:38withdrew from a lot of them or we
- 28:40forced to withdraw from other people and and
- 28:43it's like We treated Russia very poorly No
- 28:47diplomacy at all from any president It's just
- 28:52been and what have we done we've support
- 28:54we've done what we always do we support
- 28:57the you know some kind of regime change
- 29:01based only Never never never based upon what
- 29:04is best for the country that we're forcing
- 29:07the regime change in but based upon what
- 29:10we Believe is a person who will focus
- 29:15only on us and not upon Our Stalking
- 29:21enemies that we created China Russia who Iran
- 29:25whoever we decide Iraq you know at that
- 29:28Libya Pick them go back 30 years and
- 29:32just pick them because that's what we do
- 29:34we create these These puppet enemies these fake
- 29:38enemies that don't really exist but we make
- 29:41them exist and then Change Regimes Based only
- 29:50upon that if we get somebody who's going
- 29:52to be favorable to our current Leadership, then
- 29:57it's worthwhile right that's that's our practice Governmentally
- 30:02for the last at least 30 years probably
- 30:05closer Probably ever since World War two But
- 30:09it's been much more prevalent with the creation
- 30:12of wars that didn't exist for the last
- 30:1540 years so Let's see Washington and Kiev
- 30:20Finalized the proposals for ending the conflict during
- 30:24Florida talks said Vladimir Zelensky He added that
- 30:29officials in Kiev will be in constant contact
- 30:31with America to determine the schedule of further
- 30:35meetings meanwhile Rubio said that while Washington in
- 30:40Kiev have made progress More work will be
- 30:43required and he stressed that Russia must be
- 30:46part of the equation for any agreement to
- 30:49occur now Zelensky's been trying to create a
- 30:54While his own victory plan His peace plan
- 31:00member those have been going on for so
- 31:03long The US side has been saying these
- 31:09Negotiations if you want to call them that
- 31:10from the Ukraine side are not easy a
- 31:13little bit after that On US officials have
- 31:18been markedly less focused on European security lieutenant
- 31:22general Christian fruiting inspector of the German army
- 31:26and former overseer of Berlin's aid to Kiev
- 31:29has complained he told the Atlantic that While
- 31:33he had previously been able to text his
- 31:35American counterparts day and night that that line
- 31:39of communication Has been cut off according to
- 31:43this general this shift in attitude also means
- 31:46Washington offers Berlin no warning before suspending certain
- 31:51weapon shipments to Ukraine so Many EU nations
- 31:58have continued to peddle the narrative of fighting
- 32:01to the last Ukrainian and are scrambling to
- 32:04find financial assistance to prop up Kiev even
- 32:08as Trump is is making Substantial efforts to
- 32:11find a solution to the conflict that was
- 32:13claimed by Dmitry Peskov a little bit earlier
- 32:18Flurry of diplomatic activity and renewed peace talks
- 32:23in recent weeks and just They were spotted.
- 32:29Let's see German minister Johan, wait a pool
- 32:33has suggested Kiev may have to agree to
- 32:36painful concessions finally people are Starting to admit
- 32:40it US told the EU in no uncertain
- 32:44terms earlier this year they plan to return
- 32:49Frozen Russian assets to Moscow once a peace
- 32:53plan is signed said politico The u.s.
- 32:57Reportedly has been against the EU plan.
- 33:00Well, I know that well They haven't agreed
- 33:02to it except for Trump getting half of
- 33:04it to use the ashes assets for issuing
- 33:07loans to Ukraine with the initial leaked version
- 33:11of the peace roadmap Including a provision to
- 33:14use a hundred billion of the funds in
- 33:16an American-led effort to rebuild and invest
- 33:20in Ukraine and to create a separate US
- 33:24Russian vehicle so The prospect caused, you know
- 33:30Obviously problems between the EU and the US
- 33:33because the EU doesn't want to return that
- 33:36money they want to figure out how to
- 33:37justify it somehow and and get to keep
- 33:41those 300 billion of Russian money and but
- 33:47in Belgium the bank is is saying, you
- 33:50know, this is a bad plan.
- 33:51You can't do this and then let's see
- 33:56Where are we gonna go I wanted to
- 33:58get to the A Bottom of this page
- 34:05because there are so many talks former Ukrainian
- 34:09minister Dmitry Kuliba says that Kiev has to
- 34:12accept an agreement that no one will like
- 34:16if it wants to avoid many more years
- 34:19of conflict with Russia and a potential complete
- 34:23Collapse, this is Kuliba We are in a
- 34:27situation where Russia has the ability to destroy
- 34:31us and we are not strong enough to
- 34:34protect ourselves Kulibra Kuliba said in a conference
- 34:40in Kiev on Monday only a deal that
- 34:43no one will like which looks which locks
- 34:47in a tactical defeat and The strategic victory
- 34:52he says could prevent many more years of
- 34:55war or even worse Territorial issues will be
- 35:03at the center of any peace deal and
- 35:05Whitkoff's visit to Moscow comes as Russian forces
- 35:10Continue to make frontline gains I mean, it's
- 35:15there Russia is advancing and the more they
- 35:19advance the worse it gets for for Ukraine,
- 35:23it's They are taking over large swaths of
- 35:29land and it seems any efforts any discussion
- 35:35even of Counteroffensives are short-lived and way
- 35:43substandard and Very isolated, you know, they'll take
- 35:48over several blocks Several several the Ukrainians I
- 35:53mean will take back several blocks several acres,
- 35:59you know, whatever and then they get pushed
- 36:01back over the next day or two and
- 36:03so they they they are wasting people to
- 36:10Attempt to show a media flurry of some
- 36:13sort that this is what's gonna happen at
- 36:15a briefing on Sunday General staff Chief Valery
- 36:22Gerasimov told Putin that the military has taken
- 36:25control over several key frontline city cities including
- 36:31Krasnodar Masek, which is Pukrovsk in Russia's Donbass
- 36:36and Volchansk in Kharkov These are big cities
- 36:39These are not small little towns the reality
- 36:42of the frontline situation coupled with manpower shortages
- 36:45and mobilization Problems are piling even more pressure
- 36:50on Zelensky to finally make some sort of
- 36:53a deal US officials told the EU That
- 36:59you know something has to be done here
- 37:01because the war is you know, finally the
- 37:04u.s. Is acknowledging it and it's It's
- 37:09not it's not going well at all Let's
- 37:14see.
- 37:14I wanted to get to the Where is
- 37:20the most recent Blah-blah-blah.
- 37:28Nope.
- 37:29We already covered that and Here we go
- 37:34this came out yesterday CNN reported yesterday that
- 37:40NATO could bar Ukraine from joining the bloc
- 37:46without Requiring Kiev to formally renounce its Ambitions
- 37:52to join under a scenario discussed by US
- 37:56peace negotiators over the weekend This comes after
- 38:00months of Ukraine refusing to meet the conditions
- 38:04outlined by Russia and Rejecting this neutrality demand
- 38:09Which they have been trying to get for
- 38:12a while last month The u.s. Put
- 38:15forward a 28-point plan aimed at ending
- 38:18the fighting and You know cap the army
- 38:23But according to CNN an updated proposal was
- 38:27discussed You know in Florida on Sunday and
- 38:34basically CNN says that the delegations Examined an
- 38:40arrangement under which Ukraine would be allowed to
- 38:43keep its NATO ambitions in its constitution But
- 38:49Russia and members of NATO would reach an
- 38:52agreement that prevent Kiev from actually joining So
- 38:56Ukraine is not pushed to officially in the
- 38:59legal sense reject that they Aspire to be
- 39:04NATO members, but that the u.s. And
- 39:07NATO Could make an agreement with Russia through
- 39:10bilateral or multilateral Understandings do not involve Kiev
- 39:14the CNN source said negotiators had also made
- 39:18progress on the issue of Ukraine withdrawing troops
- 39:21from the territories in the Donbass which is
- 39:26Donetsk and Lugansk, but declined to provide further
- 39:29D care details saying the matter is too
- 39:32sensitive and Following Sunday's meeting Rubio said progress
- 39:36is made, but then you know much more
- 39:38work So I Don't know Washington is not
- 39:45including you know Ukraine in the meetings in
- 39:49Moscow so this Washington has decided to stop
- 39:55negotiating with this supporting cast according to this
- 39:59Russian article and To go straight to the
- 40:02main stage So you got to quit dealing
- 40:06with the people that don't matter and go
- 40:08straight to u.s. Slash Russia, which should
- 40:11have been done a long time ago Donald
- 40:13Trump's designated deal maker Steve Whitcoff and you
- 40:18know And Jared Kushner by the way who
- 40:23has been informally involved in in back channel
- 40:26discussions They are contributing to this debate, but
- 40:30that the trip by Whitcoff is capping a
- 40:34week of shuttle diplomacy Where political turmoil is
- 40:38growing?
- 40:40the corruption is Becoming ever more By relevant
- 40:49to the discussion you know and I don't
- 40:52know that Zelensky you know lives through this
- 40:55let alone Survives the political turmoil, I think
- 40:59I think he's in some some some real
- 41:02trouble and This could be a very bad
- 41:09Resolution personally for him Zelensky's government is insisting
- 41:15that it will not accept territorial Concessions or
- 41:21changes to Ukraine, but the political upheaval going
- 41:26on Particularly in the negotiating team combined with
- 41:32erosion of his support for parts of the
- 41:36EU discussions leave Kim with Kiev with zero
- 41:41flexibility they got nothing so More and more
- 41:47American officials are trying to sell Settlement as
- 41:51a strategic necessity.
- 41:53That's because they know they have lost So
- 41:57what are we what are we supposed to
- 41:59be watching for you know by the by
- 42:01the time JR show starts today?
- 42:04I think we should be watching for Senior
- 42:10You know will Moscow's senior official officials publicly
- 42:15outline a Counterdraft to whatever Whitkoff is proposing
- 42:20or will they continue to call the talks?
- 42:23preliminary and You know will the u.s.
- 42:31Negotiate or will they continue to push out
- 42:33stuff on on truth social Or will they
- 42:37have a real discussion today, I'm hopeful that
- 42:40that is the case that they you know
- 42:44Will there actually be pressure on Kiv to
- 42:48accept these concessions?
- 42:50Or will it continue to be this month
- 42:52-long?
- 42:53How long has it been that we have
- 42:55been?
- 42:56listening to to US officials finally say that
- 43:00look you're gonna have to do something when
- 43:03did this 28-point plan?
- 43:04Come out it was at least two weeks
- 43:07ago.
- 43:08It's not two and a half But the
- 43:11visit is you know what it means is
- 43:14for the first time since the u.s.
- 43:16Floated the updated peace plan That 28-point
- 43:20plan the two actors capable of forcing a
- 43:24settlement Washington and Moscow are speaking face to
- 43:28face There is no EU there is no
- 43:31Brussels Kiev is imploding under the pressure of
- 43:35its own corruption and the front line is
- 43:39continuing to move in Russia's favor And it
- 43:44is it really is moving that that that
- 43:47front line is moving so I think today's
- 43:51talks are gonna are going to Be highly
- 43:57revealing You know what they are saying behind
- 44:01closed doors, but I think you know with
- 44:04Erastovich with Yermak being gone with Mindic being
- 44:10you know having run away to Israel with
- 44:15Zelensky being on his heels and all of
- 44:20this we might finally see this nightmare ending
- 44:24not for The a-holes involved in all
- 44:28of this from the very beginning, but for
- 44:30the people that matter the ordinary Ukrainian who
- 44:35is being forced into a fight that They
- 44:39do not wish In in large part they
- 44:44do not you know they Are good people
- 44:49they are people that are victims of all
- 44:53of this BS put on by our foolish
- 44:57policies by the 30 years 35 now in
- 45:02that 35 years of corruption in Ukraine and
- 45:06that hasn't Changed an iota all that all
- 45:11it has changed is The play card who
- 45:14the guys are who gets to collect the
- 45:17money and become fabulously wealthy because they're connected
- 45:22and That's the same.
- 45:25It's let's not make any bones about the
- 45:28fact that it's no different in the United
- 45:30States You know we're we have similar.
- 45:34You know get rich plans You know you
- 45:37want to be be rich, and you don't
- 45:39want to work for it just become a
- 45:41politician you know on the on the national
- 45:43stage and You know that's that's a very
- 45:47good way to get to get rich right
- 45:51and What let's let's share with you What
- 46:00Maria Zakharova said yesterday she responded to the
- 46:08preemptive strike threat is Maria Zakharova, and I
- 46:14like listening to her Remember the top commander
- 46:18said what was the date he said this
- 46:21to was was also yesterday He said that
- 46:27NATO members should find ways to be more
- 46:30aggressive towards Russia Said its top military chief
- 46:35Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone chair of NATO's military
- 46:40committee Told the Financial Times in an interview
- 46:43published Sunday that member states have been weighing
- 46:48options to respond to what he describes as
- 46:52a hybrid war We're studying everything being more
- 46:57aggressive or proactive Instead of reactive is something
- 47:01we are thinking about He added that a
- 47:05preemptive strike get this is a NATO guy
- 47:09talking about a preemptive strike and would be
- 47:12considered a Defensive action though it would be
- 47:17further away from our normal way of thinking
- 47:19and behavior According to Financial Times Diplomats from
- 47:24Eastern Europe have been especially vocal in demanding
- 47:28tougher actions against Russia including retaliatory cyber attack
- 47:35Dragone noted however that NATO's decision-making is
- 47:39constrained by legal and ethical concerns with God
- 47:44God Thank God for that.
- 47:47You know in September NATO receipt increased air
- 47:51patrols in Eastern Europe's and Baltic states Moscow
- 47:54denies claims that its aircraft and drones approach
- 47:57blah blah blah all these crazy things Russian
- 48:01ambassador to Belgium Dennis Gonchar said last week
- 48:05that NATO members are pursuing rampant militarization under
- 48:10the guise of deterring Russia's Non-existent plans
- 48:14to attack them I Happen to agree with
- 48:19that and so the Mario's a heart of
- 48:22a listen to this and what she said
- 48:25The heart of a said where'd she go
- 48:31a Recent statement by a NATO admiral that
- 48:36the block could consider preemptive strikes against Russia
- 48:40shows that it is seeking Escalation and a
- 48:45desire to derail the Ukrainian peace process She
- 48:49said she was talking about this Discussions in
- 48:54a statement published by the Foreign Ministry on
- 48:58Monday the heart of a described your Gona's
- 49:01words as Absolutely irresponsible move Indicating the blocks
- 49:08readiness to further move towards Escalation anti-russian
- 49:14hysteria whipped up By NATO members is only
- 49:19stirring up the on going Confrontation even further
- 49:24she warned Dragona statement debunks a myth about
- 49:28purely defensive nature of the military block She
- 49:33said and she also said that NATO has
- 49:36not been hiding its goals or intentions for
- 49:38a long time I say 30 years she
- 49:42accused the block of deliberately Seeking to disrupt
- 49:46efforts aimed at finding a way out of
- 49:50the Ukrainian crisis People making these statements.
- 49:55She said said should understand the corresponding risks
- 49:59and potential consequences including for its block members
- 50:05The EU has increasingly used anti-russian rhetoric
- 50:09to justify Massive and I mean massive military
- 50:15expenditures rearm Europe package, which was presented in
- 50:19March Aims to more to increase funding 933
- 50:27billion dollars, that's nearly a trillion.
- 50:30Is it not to expand the EU nations?
- 50:34militaries under the pretexts of countering this alleged
- 50:40Russian threat NATO pushed its members to commit
- 50:45to spending five percent of their GDP on
- 50:48military this summer and Frankly there's no no
- 50:55No proof that this is what is What
- 51:00is going on?
- 51:00You know, I watched last night a number
- 51:04of videos Where these fab 1500s and fab
- 51:113000s there was one that destroyed I believe
- 51:14it was in NEPRO the city of NEPRO
- 51:17destroyed a drone factory in Ukrainian NEPRO Meanwhile
- 51:24there was a turkey Have you heard about
- 51:28this?
- 51:29This just came out There was a Russian
- 51:32flagged tanker that Was going to Georgia and
- 51:39it was attacked in the Black Sea according
- 51:41to Turkish officials So last week Russian authorities
- 51:45accused Kiev of carrying out drone attacks on
- 51:48commercial vessels in a statement on Tuesday the
- 51:52Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Said the
- 51:57mid Volga to tanker which was carrying Sunflower
- 52:01oil was attacked 80 miles off of the
- 52:05country's coast the ship which currently has no
- 52:10Injuries among its 13 personnel the didn't request
- 52:15any serious Assistance, but it was attacked the
- 52:18ship is proceeding towards sign up on its
- 52:21own engines Later Russia's Federal Agency for sea
- 52:27and inland water transport said the vessel had
- 52:30been attract Attacked by a drone and had
- 52:33received some minor damage last week several explosive
- 52:40sea drones struck two Gambian flagged tankers the
- 52:46Kairos and the Verat off of Turkey's coast
- 52:49and And Ukrainian media sources described the joint
- 52:55operation as involving its own Security service in
- 52:59addition the suspected Ukrainian drone attacks on crude
- 53:03hubs in the Black Sea belonging to the
- 53:05Caspian pipeline consortium Operated by Russia Kazakhstan the
- 53:10US and several Western nations also occurred I
- 53:15mean Moscow denounced these raids as terrorist attacks
- 53:19Dmitry Peskov accuses Ukraine of encroaching in Turkey
- 53:23while Ankara has refrained from assigning blame Turkish
- 53:28Foreign Ministry spokesman on KU Caselli said the
- 53:32incidents which took place in Turkey's economic zone
- 53:36of the Black Sea pose serious risks to
- 53:39navigation human life property and Environment so they're
- 53:46watching these things happen um Let's see and
- 53:53complaining about them these are these are not
- 53:57good.
- 53:58Let's see There was one further thing.
- 54:02I wanted to to share with you There's
- 54:12a fight clubs in Poland, but I I
- 54:16Will get to that one if we have
- 54:18a little bit of time, but this corruption
- 54:20in Ukraine is It's just rampant there's a
- 54:27former Ukrainian Prime Minister his name is Nikolai
- 54:32Azarov and He said that Over 100 billion
- 54:40in Western aid Could have ended up in
- 54:44the pockets of corrupt Ukrainian officials according to
- 54:49him the US and the EU have pumped
- 54:53a total of 360 billion dollars into Ukraine
- 55:00and corruption in Ukraine is 15 to 30
- 55:06percent of the foreign aid being stolen and
- 55:11He said this on Monday He says the
- 55:15figure is closer to 30 percent in Ukraine
- 55:19the former Prime Minister estimates that between 54
- 55:24billion and 108 billion has been lost to
- 55:30corruption Isn't that amazing that is unbelievable that
- 55:38it is that Even an estimate that high
- 55:41is Unreal it's crazy Germany's Kiel Institute for
- 55:49the World Economy puts the total amount of
- 55:53assistance provided to Kiev between January of 2022
- 55:58and August of this year only at 291
- 56:03billion dollars But Trump has consistently claimed that
- 56:08the u.s. Alone has committed 350 billion
- 56:12to Ukraine So I think the number is
- 56:18closer to the 350 Because some of ours
- 56:21has been delayed or not sent but while
- 56:25Kiev Anti-corruption agencies have not disclosed how
- 56:30much foreign Money has been stolen since the
- 56:34start of the conflict while the escalation of
- 56:39the conflict in 2022 Everybody knows the country
- 56:43is has been mired in these high-profile
- 56:46corruption scandals for years in 2023 an exposé
- 56:53about inflated food procurement Contracts at the Defense
- 56:57Ministry led to the resignation of then Defense
- 57:01Minister Alexei Reznik off you remember that one
- 57:05months later the Supreme Court chairman Siavoload Knyazev
- 57:11was arrested for accepting a 2.7 million
- 57:14dollar bribe and that was in 23 in
- 57:1824 the State Audit Service reported large-scale
- 57:22violations and Reconstruction projects financed by Western aid
- 57:27Aid with billions of Krivna missing.
- 57:31That's the Ukrainian currency in the same year
- 57:36Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities reported a 1.4
- 57:40million dollar racket involving the illegal sale of
- 57:45the main maintenance facility at the Black Sea
- 57:49port of Chernomorsk and last month the nation
- 57:54You know have revealed this major graft scandal
- 57:59involving You know Timur Mindy who I told
- 58:03you all about a couple weeks ago Who
- 58:05has been accused of running a 100 million
- 58:08dollar?
- 58:09Kickback scheme in the energy sector and there
- 58:12were how many people have resigned over that
- 58:14one culminating in last week Andre Yermak Resigning
- 58:20in the face of corruption and connection with
- 58:22Mindy and all of the things that went
- 58:25on with there I say it's going to
- 58:27be an interesting week.
- 58:29These discussions are ongoing.
