- 0:14Speaker 1: I'm Aaron Quinn, here with Colin Ritchie, bringing you everything
- 0:17Speaker 1: you need to know before you start your day. Let's
- 0:20Speaker 1: get right into it.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Buffalo's first pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, T.J. Parker,
- 0:26Speaker 2: sat down with Chris Brown of One Bills Live for
- 0:29Speaker 2: an interview in the Fieldhouse. He was asked about the
- 0:32Speaker 2: play that led to his first career half sack and
- 0:35Speaker 2: forced fumble. He said, He said he just stared at
- 0:38Speaker 2: the replay once he got to the sideline, taking in
- 0:40Speaker 2: the fact that he got his first career half sack,
- 0:42Speaker 2: splitting it with Ed Oliver. Parker said he watched the
- 1:00Speaker 2: replay at home for a good two days. He watched
- 1:03Speaker 2: it from every angle for a total of probably 10
- 1:06Speaker 2: to 15 times. Parker described his first month in the
- 1:10Speaker 2: NFL as exciting. He said, The game is a lot faster.
- 1:14Speaker 2: For me, I like the mental part of the game.
- 1:17Speaker 2: So for everything to be sped up, it kind of
- 1:19Speaker 2: gives me a new challenge going into my first year.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I get to work on processing a lot faster, being
- 1:24Speaker 2: a lot quicker in my decisions, and stuff like that.
- 1:26Speaker 2: When he was drafted to Buffalo, he knew the team
- 1:29Speaker 2: had two paid guys in the room, in Greg Rousseau
- 1:32Speaker 2: and Bradley Chubb, plus veterans like Michael Hoyt and Mike Dana,
- 1:36Speaker 2: so he knew he'd have to show up every day
- 1:38Speaker 2: and prove why he should be on the field. Parker
- 1:41Speaker 2: has leaned on Chubb as a mentor, explaining that he
- 1:44Speaker 2: took me under his wing since day one, teaching me
- 1:46Speaker 2: what I need to know, saying what I need to learn,
- 1:49Speaker 2: and how to go about things. I've just been trying
- 1:51Speaker 2: to stay attached to him. Parker shouted out Rousseau, too,
- 1:54Speaker 2: as someone he's learned a lot from. and gave the
- 1:56Speaker 2: veterans props for being welcoming to him. Dion Dawkins spoke
- 2:01Speaker 2: to the media yesterday, commenting on the matchup against the Rams,
- 2:04Speaker 2: Aaron Donald's return, and playing next to Alec Anderson. He said,
- 2:08Speaker 2: He said, saying that getting the opportunity to play next
- 2:27Speaker 2: to him is the best thing that's ever happened to me.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Dawkins compared Aaron Donald's return to the NFL to Michael
- 2:34Speaker 2: Jordan coming back to play for an extra season, explaining
- 2:37Speaker 2: that he loves the fact that one of the all-time
- 2:39Speaker 2: greats wanted to come back to play an extra season.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Kalo Shakir spoke to the media as well, explaining the
- 2:46Speaker 2: mindset of the team following their first loss of the season.
- 2:50Speaker 2: He said, we know that we're a really great team
- 2:52Speaker 2: when we do what we're just supposed to do. We
- 2:54Speaker 2: put in all this work throughout every single week, week
- 2:57Speaker 2: in and week out, just keeping our heads down for meetings,
- 3:00Speaker 2: translating onto the practice field, and focusing on the details.
- 3:03Speaker 2: And we just wanted to reiterate, everybody take a deep
- 3:05Speaker 2: breath and do your job and we'll keep flowing. He continued,
- 3:09Speaker 2: it's the NFL. Anyone can win. Anyone can lose on
- 3:13Speaker 2: any given day. That's the reality of it. So for us,
- 3:16Speaker 2: it's just getting back to work and just focusing in
- 3:18Speaker 2: on the details. He commented on the demeanor of the
- 3:21Speaker 2: head coach, saying that that's a big influence for the
- 3:23Speaker 2: team as well. He said that Joe Brady is the
- 3:26Speaker 2: same person, and he thinks that that kind of triples
- 3:28Speaker 2: on to the rest of the team as making sure
- 3:30Speaker 2: no one's hitting the panic button and not thinking that
- 3:32Speaker 2: everything has to be different now and everyone has to
- 3:35Speaker 2: go out of their own body and do anything crazy.
- 3:38Speaker 2: As we head into the weekend, let's take a look
- 3:40Speaker 2: at Friday's injury reports for both the Bills and the Rams.
