- 0:21Speaker 3: Seattle six game homestand continued on Monday against Carolina Up
- 0:25Speaker 3: and the Kraken turned up the intensity for their second
- 0:28Speaker 3: consecutive win. The physical play was on display early and often,
- 0:32Speaker 3: with the Kraken out hitting Carolina thirty one to thirteen.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Seattle got a pair of second period goals from Copocaco
- 0:39Speaker 3: and Ben Myers, and then survived a strong third period
- 0:42Speaker 3: push to hold on for a.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Two to one win. Tonight, Seattle welcomes.
- 0:46Speaker 3: In the Saint Louis Blues, looking to avenge a five
- 0:48Speaker 3: to one loss under the Arch last Saturday, and in
- 0:51Speaker 3: the process climbed back into second place in the Pacific Division.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Good evening, Ladies and gentlemen, welcome inside of Climate Plagerina
- 0:59Speaker 3: here in down town Seattle, Washington, alongside Alconiski.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I am Everett fits you.
- 1:03Speaker 3: This is a Seattle Kracking Hockey on the Global Credit
- 1:06Speaker 3: Union and Cracking Audio Network. You are listening to the
- 1:09Speaker 3: pregame show served up by Frost Grew Corse Late shooting
- 1:12Speaker 3: hill Ow to to one win for the cracket on
- 1:15Speaker 3: Monday against Carolina in a game that felt like a
- 1:18Speaker 3: playoff game that was game two of a series, Seattle
- 1:22Speaker 3: holding on, out hitting the Canes heavily on their.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Way to a two to one win.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and you might ask yourself what made it feel
- 1:27Speaker 4: like a playoff game? The physicality was huge, Seattle out hitting,
- 1:32Speaker 4: out hitting Carolina thirty one to thirteen, the push right
- 1:36Speaker 4: to the very end that Carolina was down by a goal,
- 1:38Speaker 4: and lucky enough they got a power play late in
- 1:40Speaker 4: the game that Seattle had to kill off. It's those
- 1:43Speaker 4: kind of tight games that reflect or excuse me, the
- 1:46Speaker 4: reflect playoff games.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Crackhead pushing their winning streaks a five here at home,
- 1:50Speaker 3: which is a franchise record. They've outscored the team's twenty
- 1:53Speaker 3: one to seven in their last five home games.
- 1:56Speaker 1: They are now nine to two and two at home.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Since it's a Christmas break.
- 2:01Speaker 3: If you want to win in playoffs, you need to
- 2:03Speaker 3: win your home games, and the kracket have really turned
- 2:05Speaker 3: this building into a strong.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Home as advantage.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Yeah, they've They've done well since they came back here
- 2:10Speaker 4: at home. That momentum continues tonight. They've scored first in
- 2:13Speaker 4: each of those two home games Crack and grabbing sixteen
- 2:17Speaker 4: points in their last sixteen home games where they've scored first,
- 2:19Speaker 4: So it's really important to get the first one here tonight.
- 2:22Speaker 3: On the other side of the red line, in the
- 2:24Speaker 3: Saint Louis Blues, they snapped a ten game road skid
- 2:28Speaker 3: the other night, three to one in Minnesota. They beat
- 2:30Speaker 3: the Crack at five to one last week, and they're building.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Blaine Lambert not happy with the start for the Scracket
- 2:36Speaker 3: or the finish in that game. A lot of players
- 2:38Speaker 3: on Saint Louis's team, their names are coming up in
- 2:41Speaker 3: trade deadline talk, which is going to be new Pacific
- 2:44Speaker 3: time on Friday, so this could be a very emotionally
- 2:47Speaker 3: charged game for.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Them here this evening.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Yeah, one of those guys' names it's been come up
- 2:51Speaker 4: as Robert Thomas, and his first game back was last game.
- 2:54Speaker 5: He had a goal inst in that game.
- 2:56Speaker 4: So despite what's going on with the rumor discussion, he
- 2:59Speaker 4: seems to be right on top of his point.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Cracking three points back of Vegas as they enter play
- 3:04Speaker 3: here tonight, oh when they will be in second place
- 3:07Speaker 3: going into a meeting.
- 3:08Speaker 1: With Ottawa coming up on Saturday night. For now, back

- 6:29Speaker 10: glad you're with us, Mike Benton, with you back with
- 6:31Speaker 10: the cors light landing in section twenty for the Kraken
- 6:34Speaker 10: coming in right now with a record of twenty nine,
- 6:36Speaker 10: twenty two and nine point total at sixty seven good
- 6:40Speaker 10: enough right now for the second and final wildcard spot
- 6:44Speaker 10: in the Western Conference, and the Blues coming in also
- 6:48Speaker 10: that number flipped. They're on the struggle bus at twenty two,
- 6:51Speaker 10: twenty nine and nine point total and fifty three three,
- 6:55Speaker 10: six and one in the last ten games, second worst
- 6:58Speaker 10: point total in the NAHL. With the Kraken looking to
- 7:01Speaker 10: take two wins out of three in this had to
- 7:04Speaker 10: haved series, well, the question bears from this evening into Friday,
- 7:09Speaker 10: how different could these rosters look? May be here by
- 7:12Speaker 10: this weekend, not all because the NHL trade deadline is
- 7:16Speaker 10: coming up at noon on Fridays. So for this evening
- 7:20Speaker 10: for these two teams, last time they'll play before effectively
- 7:23Speaker 10: it is pencils down in about two days from now,
- 7:26Speaker 10: and for the Crack and the question Bears who could
- 7:28Speaker 10: be coming in the door, and for Saint Louis the
- 7:30Speaker 10: question Bears who could be going out the door. Zevery
- 7:34Speaker 10: Itt now mentioned the Kraken heading into this one with
- 7:37Speaker 10: some momentum, and a lot of that has to do
- 7:39Speaker 10: with their home ice record. They have won five in
- 7:41Speaker 10: a row here in the Deep, that being a franchise record,
- 7:45Speaker 10: and that total stands at sixteen nine and five year
- 7:47Speaker 10: for the regular season right now. Bearing the total, that's
- 7:50Speaker 10: four wins shy of their franchise record for most home
- 7:53Speaker 10: wins in one season that was twenty back in twenty
- 7:56Speaker 10: twenty two to twenty three, in the Kraken outscoring the
- 7:59Speaker 10: opposite at twenty one to seven over the course here
- 8:03Speaker 10: of the last five games. As of right now, it
- 8:06Speaker 10: is still tight and time is ticking here on this
- 8:08Speaker 10: regular season. The kracking with twenty two games left face
- 8:11Speaker 10: right now projections Beny's setting from a point total of
- 8:15Speaker 10: ninety here to make the playoffs in the Western Conference,
- 8:17Speaker 10: which means they would need only twenty three points in
- 8:20Speaker 10: the final twenty two games here to reach that mark.
- 8:24Speaker 10: They come in here for this one a three point
- 8:26Speaker 10: lead over San Jose, but also one point back of
- 8:29Speaker 10: Edmonton for third place in the Pacific. Both teams, by
- 8:33Speaker 10: the way, are op today, so a great chance here
- 8:36Speaker 10: for the Kraken to make some hay. They're in the
- 8:39Speaker 10: spot here because last game Monday against Carolina they were
- 8:42Speaker 10: looking to set a tone as far as being a
- 8:45Speaker 10: tough out against a very tough team.
- 8:48Speaker 3: This is a ho to the high slot elers back
- 8:51Speaker 3: to la ho suits that'll say a line three seconds to.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Go, ha ho doucern I.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Joe E's a Cord, a thirty five saved dandy here
- 9:10Speaker 3: at home.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It's a two one Seattle track and win.
- 9:14Speaker 10: Quite essentially, it was a grinder down type of victory.
- 9:17Speaker 10: As Everett mentioned end of that call, krack and knocked
- 9:20Speaker 10: off Carolina two to one, where the Cracket effectively only
- 9:23Speaker 10: made two mistakes in that game, one winding up in
- 9:26Speaker 10: the back of their own net on a Nikolai Eeler's goal,
- 9:29Speaker 10: the other one effectively a holding penalty to Elie Tobenen
- 9:32Speaker 10: giving Carolina a six on fourst skating situation. But Joey
- 9:35Speaker 10: Decord was rock solid, especially in the diame minutes when
- 9:39Speaker 10: he had to be turning in a thirty five save
- 9:42Speaker 10: effort with that perfect penalty kill efforts right toward the
- 9:46Speaker 10: finish line, the cracking getting offense from Copocaco and Ben Myers,
- 9:50Speaker 10: who had the game winning goal. Myers with a game
- 9:53Speaker 10: winning goal in that contest the Crack and now off
- 9:56Speaker 10: to a two to oh start here for this home stand. Well,
- 9:59Speaker 10: Jamie Alexi also had a big rig kind of night
- 10:02Speaker 10: eleven hits, three block shots in that game, and this
- 10:06Speaker 10: morning he said the focus on this evening is reversing
- 10:09Speaker 10: course against Saint Louis, who beat the Krack in just
- 10:12Speaker 10: six days ago.
- 10:13Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, I think we have to get off
- 10:15Speaker 11: to a better start. Obviously, Again, you know, I think
- 10:18Speaker 11: we did better all the last game, but against Saint Louis,
- 10:21Speaker 11: we gave up a lot of great a's and I
- 10:23Speaker 11: gotta limit those and just capitalize we get a chance too, so.
- 10:27Speaker 10: Krack and have some pieces in place here to limit
- 10:29Speaker 10: those great a's back in the lineup, including Ryan Lindren,
- 10:32Speaker 10: our first story line here for this evening. It looks
- 10:34Speaker 10: like it's going to be his first game back since
- 10:37Speaker 10: seven days ago against Dallas, when he had a hit
- 10:39Speaker 10: on Colin Blackwell that had to lead the game first period.
- 10:42Speaker 10: Would not return, So that's big when you factor in
- 10:44Speaker 10: his ability to clear bodies front of the net. Claire
- 10:47Speaker 10: shot lanes as well. He stands second right now on
- 10:50Speaker 10: the Kraken with ninety six shots here for the season
- 10:53Speaker 10: and looking like he'll be on a pair once again
- 10:55Speaker 10: with Ryker Evans. Lynn Gren this morning said missing three
- 10:58Speaker 10: straight games told him about the value of being part
- 11:01Speaker 10: of a team that's right now in the thick of
- 11:03Speaker 10: the playoff race.
- 11:04Speaker 5: I mean, it's tough. You never want to be out.
- 11:07Speaker 12: You know, you kind of feel secluded a little bit too,
- 11:09Speaker 12: because you know, obviously the team's kind of doing their
- 11:11Speaker 12: own thing and you're on a little bit different schedules.
- 11:13Speaker 5: So but yeah, you just you just hate missing games.
- 11:15Speaker 12: You hate being out there with the guys, and you know,
- 11:17Speaker 12: it's it's real nice to see them go out there
- 11:19Speaker 12: and play well and win a couple of games.
- 11:21Speaker 5: So so yeah, like I said, it sucks being out,
- 11:24Speaker 5: but it is what it is.
- 11:26Speaker 10: He's a big part of this defense, and defense a
- 11:28Speaker 10: big part of the cracking season, especially at home, where
- 11:31Speaker 10: they have allowed two and a half goals a game
- 11:33Speaker 10: that their best right now in the NHL, and the
- 11:35Speaker 10: key for defending Lindgren said, comes from both smarts and
- 11:40Speaker 10: with the legs.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Yeah, just trying to make it hard as you can
- 11:43Speaker 5: on them. So you gotta be smart too.
- 11:44Speaker 12: You don't want to be in the box obviously, you know,
- 11:47Speaker 12: hurting the team in the time of year, but yeah,
- 11:50Speaker 12: you gotta make it hard on those guys. You know,
- 11:51Speaker 12: that's a thing teams are doing, is you know, they
- 11:54Speaker 12: try to get to the net and get pucks there.
- 11:56Speaker 12: So for us defenseman, you do your best job of
- 12:00Speaker 12: you know, limiting their time when they get there and
- 12:02Speaker 12: limiting their space and.
- 12:05Speaker 5: So yeah, it's a huge part of the game, and
- 12:08Speaker 5: you know Sant Louis is a really good job of
- 12:09Speaker 5: it as well.
- 12:10Speaker 10: Our second story line is Philip Grubauer hill start a
- 12:13Speaker 10: net here for this evening and aiming for his first
- 12:15Speaker 10: win since before the Olympic break that coming back on
- 12:18Speaker 10: January twenty seventh, is nine to one fourth save percentage
- 12:21Speaker 10: by the way, typer fifth best in the NHL among
- 12:25Speaker 10: qualified goaltenders. And finally, the third story line the mental
- 12:28Speaker 10: game and can the krack and tie that into a
- 12:30Speaker 10: good start. They have scored first in each of the
- 12:33Speaker 10: last four home games and this year when leading or
- 12:35Speaker 10: tie to the end of one. They are a spectacular
- 12:38Speaker 10: twenty five, ten and four on the season. That's so
- 12:41Speaker 10: more on the crack inside as far as this time
- 12:43Speaker 10: of the year, and you'd understand why players have the
- 12:46Speaker 10: mind drift maybe at this point of the year of
- 12:48Speaker 10: that being the trade deadline and Shane Wright's been in
- 12:51Speaker 10: this spot twice or with this team, a team basically
- 12:54Speaker 10: not knowing of what's happening next. But he said he's
- 12:56Speaker 10: trying to keep the noise completely out.
- 13:00Speaker 13: Matters is what you know, what goes on the room
- 13:01Speaker 13: and and and you know what guys here are saying,
- 13:03Speaker 13: and you know, I don't really care about you know
- 13:06Speaker 13: what what media is saying about me and all that
- 13:08Speaker 13: and whatever rumors.
- 13:09Speaker 5: They they want to put out there. It doesn't really
- 13:11Speaker 5: really bother me at all.
- 13:12Speaker 13: Definitely some some areas I want improve on. Definitely a
- 13:15Speaker 13: lot of things, like I want to be better at. Yeah,
- 13:18Speaker 13: I think just the other season definitely took some strides here.
- 13:21Speaker 13: But yeah, I mean there's always there's always are improvement.
- 13:24Speaker 13: He's always want to be better, you always want to
- 13:26Speaker 13: you'll push to to be better, and you'll always always
- 13:30Speaker 13: want to you know, really really just kind of focus
- 13:33Speaker 13: on pushing yourself to to be better and all that.
- 13:35Speaker 5: But yeah, it's pretty happy with how it's going so far.
- 13:39Speaker 10: Head down, move forward, all systems go. That's the mantra
- 13:42Speaker 10: against the Blues and we'll take a look at them
- 13:45Speaker 10: coming up. Right after this, you're listening to the Global
- 13:47Speaker 10: Credit Union crack An Audio Network.

- 16:34Speaker 10: this game well out of the playoff picture and potentially
- 16:37Speaker 10: some names could be on the move, but they have
- 16:39Speaker 10: one two of three out of the break, yet only
- 16:42Speaker 10: standing fourteen points back of the cut line here in
- 16:44Speaker 10: the Western Conference, leading to plenty of question marks as
- 16:48Speaker 10: they enter a three game trip, though prove it to
- 16:51Speaker 10: be a pretty tough fout on the Kraken six oh two.
- 16:54Speaker 10: That's the Blues record right now in the last eight meetings,
- 16:57Speaker 10: as they come off a three to one victory over
- 17:00Speaker 10: Minnesota which snapped a ten game road losing's tree. But yet,
- 17:05Speaker 10: the storyline here for Saint Louis's roster is who could
- 17:09Speaker 10: be staying and who could be going, and a lot
- 17:11Speaker 10: of contracts may be on the move. One deal reportedly
- 17:14Speaker 10: almost done today Colton Pereco to Buffalo for redeem Murtcup
- 17:18Speaker 10: and a first round draft pick. That deal reportedly still
- 17:21Speaker 10: being finalized right now. But others Robert Thomas a big
- 17:25Speaker 10: question mark, Jordan Kyrew a big question mark, Justin Falk
- 17:28Speaker 10: also goaltender Jordan Bennington as well in that mix. So
- 17:31Speaker 10: the Blues effectively could be in a reset mode where
- 17:34Speaker 10: they're trying to build around guys like Jimmy Snugaroo, Dylan Holloway,
- 17:37Speaker 10: Jake Nabors, Philip Roberg, and more that coach Jim Montgomery
- 17:41Speaker 10: has seen the trade deadline certainly enter his player's minds
- 17:45Speaker 10: even in practice, and he said, right now it's at
- 17:47Speaker 10: the point where they need a little bit of grace
- 17:49Speaker 10: in practice.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Well, yeah, you know, I think as a coach you can't.
- 17:54Speaker 18: You can't be too hard. Like there was mistakes made
- 17:56Speaker 18: out there today that if they were made in another day,
- 17:59Speaker 18: I would have stopped and drew and really talk to
- 18:01Speaker 18: to people about it because there's some habits that were
- 18:04Speaker 18: not as good as we would like at times today.
- 18:07Speaker 18: But you understand the human element. Sometimes people's minds might
- 18:10Speaker 18: be somewhere else, so you talk to them like in
- 18:14Speaker 18: between whistles while the other group is going, instead of
- 18:17Speaker 18: blowing it down and slowing down practice because you understand it.
- 18:21Speaker 18: You need to get through practice, and you also understand the.
- 18:23Speaker 5: Human element of it.
- 18:24Speaker 18: Everybody knows it's coming.
- 18:26Speaker 10: So how can the Blues get set mentally here for
- 18:29Speaker 10: this game? That's a question mark. But one question mark
- 18:32Speaker 10: that has effectively wiped off the board is who's going
- 18:34Speaker 10: to be a net that being Joel Hofer very active
- 18:37Speaker 10: at playing the puck in since the Olympic break. He
- 18:40Speaker 10: is two and Ozero, stopping forty five of forty seven shots.
- 18:44Speaker 10: Blue story lines first up again with handling Jordan Kyro
- 18:47Speaker 10: and could this be his last game here with the
- 18:49Speaker 10: Blues against the Crack and he owns ten goals and
- 18:52Speaker 10: thirteen lifetime matchups. He's also got six points in his
- 18:56Speaker 10: last five games, so he's making a strong case as
- 18:59Speaker 10: far as his open game heading into this week. Secondly,
- 19:02Speaker 10: it is also handling Robert Thomas. Could this also be
- 19:05Speaker 10: his last game with the Blues? He is just one
- 19:07Speaker 10: of five left on their roster from their Stanley Cup
- 19:10Speaker 10: winning squad back in twenty eighteen nineteen, and he owns
- 19:13Speaker 10: fifteen points and thirteen lifetime matchups against the Crack in
- 19:18Speaker 10: we'll step aside after this ever, it now have your

- 21:35Speaker 3: Al Kaneski game three of a six game home sand
- 21:38Speaker 3: Cracking perfect two for two in their first two games,
- 21:41Speaker 3: following a two to one win over Carolina two nights ago,
- 21:44Speaker 3: Partner Cracking trying to avenge a five to one drubbing
- 21:47Speaker 3: in Saint Louis last Thursday.
- 21:49Speaker 1: They know what they didn't do in that one.
- 21:52Speaker 3: What do they need to do tonight to get three
- 21:55Speaker 3: wins in a row and pull back to a second
- 21:57Speaker 3: place spot in the Pacific?
- 21:59Speaker 1: Well, you know, I don't make up the stats.
- 22:00Speaker 4: I just read them and the crack and have had
- 22:02Speaker 4: points in each of the last sixteen home games where
- 22:05Speaker 4: they scored the first goal. So the first one's easy.
- 22:07Speaker 4: Get the first goal, sialdo. Don't want to be chasing
- 22:10Speaker 4: these guys again. Last week in Saint Louis felt like
- 22:12Speaker 4: trying to catch a cab in a rainstorm. Always one
- 22:15Speaker 4: step behind you score first at home, the building erupts,
- 22:18Speaker 4: the bench gets loud, and suddenly the Blues are the
- 22:21Speaker 4: ones gripping their sticks. Punch first, punch hard, and make
- 22:24Speaker 4: them think about the flight to San Jose before the
- 22:26Speaker 4: first TV time out. Secondly, win the special teams battle.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Special teams aren't special if you're the ones getting burned.
- 22:34Speaker 4: The power plan needs to look like it means business.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Quick puck movement, traffic in front and take the shots
- 22:39Speaker 4: you're given and the penalty killed. Aggressive, disruptive, make their
- 22:43Speaker 4: top unit feel like they're trying to solve a Rubik's
- 22:45Speaker 4: Cuban a win tunnel. Win this battle and you'll tilt
- 22:48Speaker 4: the ice without even rolling five on five.
- 22:50Speaker 1: And then third, limit the giveaways.
- 22:53Speaker 4: No blind backhand hope passes, no soft clears at the gut,
- 22:56Speaker 4: no pizza deliveries in the middle the Blues feast on
- 22:59Speaker 4: turnovers like it's off off. And then at the Golden Corral,
- 23:01Speaker 4: and last week Seattle was handing out coupons. Manage the puck,
- 23:05Speaker 4: live to fight another ship and make them earn every inch.
- 23:08Speaker 4: If they want offense, it's got to come in at
- 23:10Speaker 4: a price.
- 23:11Speaker 5: So in summary, this.
- 23:12Speaker 4: One's about pride and precision. Score first, so you're not
- 23:15Speaker 4: playing catch up hockey. Dominate special teams, so you control
- 23:18Speaker 4: the rhythm and take care of the puck like it's
- 23:21Speaker 4: the last cup of coffee in the press box.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Do those three things, and not only will will you
- 23:25Speaker 1: avenge that.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Five to one loss, you make it three straight and
- 23:28Speaker 4: turn Clement Plagerina into a very uncomfortable stop on the
- 23:32Speaker 4: Blues road trip.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I was gonna comment on the cabin arrainstorm comment because
- 23:35Speaker 3: that's happened to me before.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And when you said last cup of coffee in the
- 23:38Speaker 1: press box, No that has happened to me more times
- 23:41Speaker 1: this year than I care to count. Fight going, take
- 23:45Speaker 1: our last cup of coffee.
- 23:46Speaker 3: The pressplots all right, partner UH, Game three of a
- 23:49Speaker 3: six game home stand, final game before.
- 23:51Speaker 1: The trade deadline.
- 23:53Speaker 3: A lot of emotions in both locker rooms, depending on
- 23:56Speaker 3: which national pundit you listen to. The cracking UH pending
- 24:02Speaker 3: UFAs got somewhat of a vote of confidence. Again, this
- 24:05Speaker 3: is according to their nothing official, so it doesn't look
- 24:09Speaker 3: like the players that we think could be moved out
- 24:12Speaker 3: are gonna be moved out. Still, a lot of picks
- 24:14Speaker 3: and prospects on the table for Saint Louis. On the
- 24:16Speaker 3: other side, they got five guys on their roster here
- 24:19Speaker 3: tonight that potentially could be gone by Friday, So this
- 24:23Speaker 3: could be an emotionally charged game for the cracket who
- 24:25Speaker 3: lost last week. I mean, it has to favor them
- 24:28Speaker 3: because they have a lot less to lose in this
- 24:32Speaker 3: game in terms of personnel. And also if you're the
- 24:34Speaker 3: losing team, I feel like it's easier for you to
- 24:36Speaker 3: bounce back because.
- 24:37Speaker 4: You know what you have to do well, I think so,
- 24:39Speaker 4: I mean, for lack of a better trim, you got
- 24:41Speaker 4: a little embarrassed last week at Saint Louis. That's got
- 24:43Speaker 4: to feed into your game, prep, tonite, eat, into each
- 24:46Speaker 4: and every shift. But you're right blocking out the noise
- 24:48Speaker 4: might be a fourth key. Yeah, And for the cracket,
- 24:50Speaker 4: it's a little bit easier when you hear some of
- 24:52Speaker 4: those messages that maybe there aren't they aren't gonna move
- 24:55Speaker 4: anybody out over on the other side, with the Saint
- 24:58Speaker 4: Louis Blues, it seems inevitable because some of those names
- 25:01Speaker 4: are gonna be here, you know, in forty eight hours,
- 25:04Speaker 4: So that makes it hard. It makes it hard as
- 25:06Speaker 4: a player to kind of rally to come back when
- 25:09Speaker 4: you're behind in the game. So that's definitely gonna be
- 25:12Speaker 4: a factor to now.
- 25:12Speaker 3: I was gonna say from a player perspective this time
- 25:15Speaker 3: of year, and then you know the trading, the July first, Yeah,
- 25:19Speaker 3: free agency Day, the two most nerve racking times for
- 25:22Speaker 3: a player.
- 25:23Speaker 1: How can you put that noise behind you or can
- 25:26Speaker 1: you do that well?
- 25:27Speaker 4: I mean in terms of July first, obviously it's conversations
- 25:29Speaker 4: with your agent. That's not as much the case when
- 25:32Speaker 4: it comes to putting your skates on the ice here
- 25:34Speaker 4: tonight and having to play a game, you rely on
- 25:37Speaker 4: your on, your brothers around you, the guys on the bench,
- 25:40Speaker 4: you know, the leaders on the team to get into
- 25:42Speaker 4: your year and say listen, we still got a job
- 25:44Speaker 4: to do. And I think the leadership is one of
- 25:46Speaker 4: those things where if it's strong enough, that's what helped
- 25:49Speaker 4: push you through.
- 25:50Speaker 5: You know who we rely on.

- 28:22Speaker 10: back downstairs we go now have Rif Fitzi's got head coach,
- 28:26Speaker 10: Laine Lambert, Thanks Mike Lane.
- 28:31Speaker 3: A big two to one win over Carolina. Now back
- 28:34Speaker 3: to back wins in very different ways. With this being
- 28:36Speaker 3: the final game before the trade deadline and all the
- 28:38Speaker 3: names that have been swirling around. From a cracking perspective,
- 28:41Speaker 3: it's only human nature to let that try and creep
- 28:44Speaker 3: in a little bit. What can you do? What can
- 28:46Speaker 3: your staff do to get a lot of as much
- 28:49Speaker 3: of that noise out of the room here tonight, going
- 28:52Speaker 3: into the deadline on Saturday or Friday.
- 28:54Speaker 22: Yeah, no, it's not easy, certainly, you know everyone it's
- 28:59Speaker 22: a it's a bit of a nervous time for people
- 29:03Speaker 22: all across the league. Getting traded involves a lot more
- 29:07Speaker 22: than just going from one team to the other on
- 29:09Speaker 22: the ice. That's probably the easiest part of it. It's
- 29:12Speaker 22: all the other things, you know, off the ice and
- 29:13Speaker 22: away from the rink and the family and things like that,
- 29:16Speaker 22: that is the.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Difficult part of it.
- 29:18Speaker 22: So you know, there's always I guess a little bit
- 29:20Speaker 22: of trepidation with that from the players, and you know, oneasiness.
- 29:25Speaker 22: All we can do is take it, you know, one
- 29:27Speaker 22: day at a time, and certainly, you know we're asking
- 29:30Speaker 22: our players tonight in our last game before that deadline,
- 29:34Speaker 22: to come to the rink, focus in for three hours
- 29:38Speaker 22: and you know, go home and deal with it from there.
- 29:41Speaker 3: What did you feel about the performance in that game
- 29:43Speaker 3: against Carolina?
- 29:44Speaker 1: Very very tight.
- 29:45Speaker 3: You didn't get a whole lot, but the opportunities that
- 29:48Speaker 3: you did get you capitalized on.
- 29:50Speaker 22: Yeah, we kind of knew that was the way it
- 29:51Speaker 22: was going to be against the Carolina team who haven't
- 29:54Speaker 22: changed their game in years and are very good at it.
- 29:57Speaker 22: So I thought our guys did a good job be committed.
- 30:00Speaker 22: I thought we did a really good job of, you know,
- 30:03Speaker 22: keeping them to the outside cracking.
