- 0:19Speaker 3: we have the icon herself, Chloe Morello in the studio
- 0:23Speaker 3: with us.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Well, oh my.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Gosh, I feel like I'm sitting with like Internet Royalty.
- 0:29Speaker 3: I know we're going to get into a lot of
- 0:32Speaker 3: juicy topics today. We're going to talk all things beauty
- 0:35Speaker 3: and makeup of course, influencer tea, what life is like now,
- 0:39Speaker 3: how like you know, the industry has changed over the
- 0:42Speaker 3: last decade or so a lot.
- 0:44Speaker 2: But before we get into it, we always.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Start with a life lesson of the week, So it
- 0:48Speaker 3: can be silly, serious, big or small.
- 0:51Speaker 1: But would you like to kick us off?
- 0:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like just chill out in situations. On
- 0:56Speaker 5: an international trip last week, my flight was canceled and
- 1:01Speaker 5: it was just such a calm experience when you just
- 1:04Speaker 5: kind of take a step back and say, in the
- 1:05Speaker 5: grand scheme of things, this is such a menial problem.
- 1:08Speaker 5: You know, I just sorted it out with the contest team,
- 1:10Speaker 5: and there are hundreds of people that probably had way
- 1:12Speaker 5: more important things to get to, and I was like,
- 1:16Speaker 5: I had a buffer of two days before this work event.
- 1:18Speaker 5: There's no reason to be stressed. Let everyone else go first,
- 1:22Speaker 5: because some of them might have like something important to
- 1:24Speaker 5: get to. And you just step back in the mind
- 1:26Speaker 5: and you're like, I'm not it's not going to stress me.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that.
- 1:30Speaker 4: That's a really good perspective in your forllicular face.
- 1:36Speaker 6: Actually, yes, I think.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I feel like I'll be like, do you know what
- 1:41Speaker 1: life's worth?
- 1:42Speaker 6: Totally?
- 1:43Speaker 1: Everything is okay.
- 1:44Speaker 5: I'm so chill, Like I never get roped. I used
- 1:47Speaker 5: to get so agro on the road and the time
- 1:49Speaker 5: I flipped someone off and they came and like followed me,
- 1:52Speaker 5: boxed me in, came and wrapped on my window with
- 1:54Speaker 5: a with a steering wheel lock, And ever since then,
- 1:57Speaker 5: I've just been like, anyone wants to overtake me, cut
- 1:59Speaker 5: me off, go ahead.
- 2:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I love that.
- 2:02Speaker 1: That's a good one. Crazy, what's yours? Okay?
- 2:04Speaker 4: My life lesson every week is kind of something that
- 2:07Speaker 4: I already started talking to you about, which I'm like, damn,
- 2:09Speaker 4: you idiot. The Micflurry the mic flurry and basically it's
- 2:13Speaker 4: the reminder that you have free will is the best
- 2:16Speaker 4: vibe ever of So we went to a work event which,
- 2:19Speaker 4: oh my god, worst event ever.
- 2:21Speaker 1: We had to go and get a mass out.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it was so.
- 2:25Speaker 6: That's really tough.
- 2:26Speaker 1: It was really hard.
- 2:28Speaker 6: It's so hard.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Literally best I ever.
- 2:32Speaker 4: So we had this lovely little treat and then I
- 2:35Speaker 4: was driving home but I had to go and pick
- 2:37Speaker 4: something up from the vet because my boyfriend left his
- 2:40Speaker 4: hat there and he was like, no, I love my hat.
- 2:42Speaker 4: I was like, I'll be nice and I'll go get
- 2:44Speaker 4: his hat for him. And then I was like, sure,
- 2:47Speaker 4: what get me flurry on the way because why because.
- 2:51Speaker 6: I can and if the machine's working, jump on.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Seriously, I have adult money.
- 2:57Speaker 4: You can pay six bucks for a sorry, which just
- 2:59Speaker 4: went tread. They become six dollars by the way, And
- 3:03Speaker 4: I got mcflurry and I put on a smutty fantasy
- 3:07Speaker 4: audio book while I drive home. I had a great
- 3:10Speaker 4: time and it was like a twenty five minute drive,
- 3:13Speaker 4: which like I am lazy and I hate any drive
- 3:16Speaker 4: that's over like ten minutes. And I was like, what
- 3:19Speaker 4: a great day. So reminder you have free will. If
- 3:22Speaker 4: you're like walking on the way home from work popping
- 3:24Speaker 4: and get a gelato to wait for the weekend, you
- 3:26Speaker 4: don't have to be on a holiday.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Yeah that, I was just like, oh lovely.
- 3:31Speaker 3: And also get the mile of mcflurry. Yeah, I believe
- 3:33Speaker 3: it's limited edition and it's so so.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Good and you can get multiple toppings on a mcflurry.
- 3:40Speaker 6: I did not know that.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Did you not know?
- 3:42Speaker 6: This is csed to me?
- 3:43Speaker 1: You can get like Oreo and eminem.
- 3:45Speaker 6: I did not know that that's my charge ext right?
- 3:48Speaker 4: Probably, But who worth it? The best six dollars I've
- 3:52Speaker 4: ever spent worth every cent? Okay, my life lesson of
- 3:56Speaker 4: the week is kind of a boring one. And I
- 3:58Speaker 4: don't know if other people already.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Know this, but I didn't. And it was on the weekend.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I got like an allergic reaction to something right like
- 4:07Speaker 3: on my neck and I don't know what it's from exactly,
- 4:12Speaker 3: but I'd had like some redness on my neck and
- 4:13Speaker 3: it had like gone up on my face. So I
- 4:15Speaker 3: wasn't like wearing makeup and whatnot. But I already had
- 4:18Speaker 3: an eyebrow lamination appointment booked in and I was like,
- 4:23Speaker 3: I never get like reactions to getting my eyebrows done,
- 4:26Speaker 3: whether it's like wax, tint, lamination, went back to the
- 4:29Speaker 3: same place that I always go to, and then like
- 4:33Speaker 3: a day later, I've gotten all of these like welts
- 4:36Speaker 3: underneath my eyebrow and it's so painful. And then I
- 4:40Speaker 3: got like another like patch somewhere else on my face.
- 4:43Speaker 2: And I was like, what the heck what is going on?
- 4:46Speaker 3: And my boyfriend was like, well, often if you have
- 4:48Speaker 3: an allergic reaction, like anywhere on your body, then if
- 4:51Speaker 3: you're getting like any other sort of treatment done, even
- 4:55Speaker 3: if you never usually react to it, like your body
- 4:58Speaker 3: is in altary, yes, is like already heightened or something exactly.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Yeah, And I was like, ship.
- 5:03Speaker 6: So you should have canceled.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I should have canceled my appointment.
- 5:06Speaker 6: But your eyebrows look really good.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I don't look too close. You can't I got it.
- 5:11Speaker 6: You still have well.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Yeah, chi, yeah, it's painful, but yeah, it's like.
- 5:17Speaker 2: So I'm excited.
- 5:18Speaker 6: Just signed the release before you got it.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Much releases crazy before eyebrow like wax, and then like.
- 5:25Speaker 5: We I do my own eyebrow lifts. You know that
- 5:29Speaker 5: thousand hour kits so cheap. I do not need to
- 5:32Speaker 5: go and pay again.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I'm definitely and we do it a bit of an
- 5:36Speaker 1: at home. I've got like a little wax pot.
- 5:38Speaker 6: I peel my butt crack, like.
- 5:41Speaker 4: We were just thinking about that because I went and
- 5:44Speaker 4: I swear she was trying to bulls over my asshole
- 5:46Speaker 4: and it really hurts.
- 5:47Speaker 6: The butthole does not hurt at all.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, like singles the bulls I write.
- 5:54Speaker 6: In anyway, the monds that hurts the most.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Ship.
- 5:58Speaker 4: All right, Well, now that we've covered all the basics, yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 4: exactly the important stuff, let's get into the episode.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Just to give a little bit of.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Context or even to remind the chicks, can you give
- 6:07Speaker 3: us a little bit of a backstory of.
- 6:09Speaker 2: How you got into the beauty space?
- 6:12Speaker 5: Okay, Well, I'm an Aussie from the South Coast and
- 6:15Speaker 5: I grew up in a small town and Bateman's Bay.
- 6:17Speaker 5: But always love makeup, and my family owns a motel
- 6:21Speaker 5: and I lived at the motel. And in my small
- 6:23Speaker 5: town it's like really slow over the wintertime. And I
- 6:28Speaker 5: always loved watching YouTube videos and started watching YouTube videos
- 6:31Speaker 5: really early on. And I had a lot of like
- 6:34Speaker 5: random side gigs, and I was between Canberra and Bateman's
- 6:39Speaker 5: Bay kind of going to make up school, went to
- 6:42Speaker 5: high school in Canberra back on and forwards. Anyway, I
- 6:44Speaker 5: just started uploading videos on YouTube in late two thousand
- 6:47Speaker 5: and eight and nine when I was doing dancing a
- 6:49Speaker 5: lot and my students wanted me to like show them
- 6:52Speaker 5: how to do a smoky eye for our performance and stuff.
- 6:55Speaker 5: So I started doing that, and you know, started getting
- 6:58Speaker 5: involved in the community a little bit, entering competitions and
- 7:01Speaker 5: not really like looking to get followers or anything. Just
- 7:04Speaker 5: I was just really involved and like felt like I
- 7:06Speaker 5: knew these people. I remember, do you know it's duty time. Oh,
- 7:09Speaker 5: like she's a big influencer from way back in the day,
- 7:12Speaker 5: and like I remember when she introduced us to her
- 7:15Speaker 5: now husband of her like five kids, like in two
- 7:17Speaker 5: thousand and nine. So I was just watching and you know,
- 7:20Speaker 5: getting involved. And then one time in twenty and eleven,
- 7:24Speaker 5: I was just born in Batman's baduring the winter, and
- 7:27Speaker 5: it started taking off and getting more followers, and I
- 7:29Speaker 5: think I got like twenty thousand followers in twenty eleven.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Wow, which like that's a b It was a lot
- 7:35Speaker 4: back then.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Yeah, And I actually didn't even know of any other influence.
- 7:39Speaker 6: There definitely were, really, but there weren't many around.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I was like, you and Lauren Curtis and that's it.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Yeah, oh and Britney Saunders as well. Oh yes, yes,
- 7:50Speaker 5: and uh it just sort of took off then. And
- 7:51Speaker 5: then you know, once I got my first real job
- 7:54Speaker 5: when I was around twenty one, which was at a crematorium,
- 7:57Speaker 5: I was like so devl at work obviously, because it's yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 5: I mean it's.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Not like it wasn't.
- 8:02Speaker 5: I don't know, it's not that it was fun, but
- 8:05Speaker 5: I mean we're an office of all girls, and like
- 8:06Speaker 5: we had fun in the office. Obviously, the work was
- 8:09Speaker 5: not fun, and I would just go home and film
- 8:12Speaker 5: my videos and I was like, oh, this is really cool.
- 8:14Speaker 5: I remember YouTube ad sense sort of came out and
- 8:17Speaker 5: I was like, oh, you can make some side money,
- 8:18Speaker 5: Like yeah, why not, It'll like fund my makeup addiction.
- 8:22Speaker 5: And that year, the year I was working at the crematorium,
- 8:26Speaker 5: I hit like one hundred and twenty thousand subscribers and
- 8:30Speaker 5: I got like my first offer from like a big
- 8:33Speaker 5: company to work with them, and the offer was for
- 8:35Speaker 5: like it was for like twenty thousand dollars.
- 8:37Speaker 6: I think who was It veat.
- 8:40Speaker 5: For six months and it was like shit tons of content,
- 8:43Speaker 5: but it was like, whoa, that's like a significant amount
- 8:46Speaker 5: of money. And so I remember my boyfriend at the
- 8:49Speaker 5: time had graduated law school and he wanted to move
- 8:51Speaker 5: to Sydney, and so I was like, I think I
- 8:53Speaker 5: can do that, because you know, maybe this is going
- 8:56Speaker 5: to go somewhere.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Was there a video that like was the flip point
- 9:01Speaker 4: for it? Like, was there like one video that really
- 9:04Speaker 4: took off?
- 9:05Speaker 5: So there are a lot of like small ish viral
- 9:07Speaker 5: videos for the time were viral because back then it
- 9:10Speaker 5: was like a million is like whoa.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 5: The biggest one was when I was just doing an
- 9:14Speaker 5: eyeliner video but I had like a normal scoop neck
- 9:18Speaker 5: top on, but I leaned forward to show the eyeliner
- 9:20Speaker 5: and you can see it on my top and someone
- 9:23Speaker 5: wrote like a snarky comment like I can see your
- 9:25Speaker 5: tits or something, and I wrote something sassy back, and
- 9:29Speaker 5: the screenshot of my comment replying and the bit of
- 9:32Speaker 5: me leaning forward got put on four Chan and I
- 9:35Speaker 5: just got like a million views of like boys.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Like the in cells.
- 9:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Four Chan is like the even darker version of.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Adam it's like I hate that and a lot of
- 9:47Speaker 3: like the Internet's trends start on four Chan, but it's
- 9:50Speaker 3: a really yeah, it's not like it's not a nice
- 9:53Speaker 3: place to I did.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I do remember getting like weird comments, but I just
- 9:56Speaker 5: remember being excited to have a million views and after that,
- 9:59Speaker 5: like just things were taking off like really quickly. Also,
- 10:01Speaker 5: I feel like that was around the time when it
- 10:04Speaker 5: wasn't cool to post on YouTube, but it was certainly
- 10:06Speaker 5: like this subculture that was like building really fast.
- 10:10Speaker 3: That's so interesting because now, like we were having a
- 10:13Speaker 3: conversation about this recently, and it's like anyone can be
- 10:16Speaker 3: a creator now and like a lot of people, you know,
- 10:19Speaker 3: they don't have any followers, but they'll post something on
- 10:22Speaker 3: TikTok and it will go viral, you know, and then
- 10:24Speaker 3: that can potentially like yeah, potapole into a career.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 5: I feel like in the pandemic it might have changed
- 10:32Speaker 5: a little bit, like people are just posting for the
- 10:34Speaker 5: connection and stuff too. But there was a time when
- 10:37Speaker 5: I feel like everyone's I just want to be an influencer,
- 10:40Speaker 5: and people just post trying to get viral, trying to
- 10:42Speaker 5: get free stuff, trying to get and that's like the
- 10:46Speaker 5: thing kind of ruining it for me.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Yeah, what was it really like back in like the
- 10:51Speaker 4: og influencer days.
- 10:54Speaker 1: It was like the widest brand trip.
- 10:56Speaker 5: It was exciting and it was just like pinch me.
- 10:59Speaker 5: I never you know, had it on my dream board
- 11:02Speaker 5: or anything. But when these opportunities start happening and you
- 11:05Speaker 5: can see that, it's just like once in a lifetime,
- 11:06Speaker 5: you got to grab it while it's there. The gifts
- 11:09Speaker 5: and the trips, and I think the most exciting early
- 11:13Speaker 5: trip was getting invited to the Can Film Festival with Lorel.
- 11:16Speaker 5: I was the first influencer to go to Can, like
- 11:21Speaker 5: with Lorel from Australia. I mean like before that they
- 11:23Speaker 5: just had their ambassadors and stuff. So that was like
- 11:26Speaker 5: super cool and like wow special. And then I did
- 11:29Speaker 5: go on one of the first Tart trips.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I was gonna say, did you ever go on a
- 11:33Speaker 1: tar Yeah, because I feel like those are like iconic.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I went on the second of a Tart trip
- 11:39Speaker 5: because I was Australian right. Usually Tart they would invite
- 11:42Speaker 5: like US influences because back then it was I mean
- 11:45Speaker 5: it's always regional, but sometimes they would do Aussie events
- 11:48Speaker 5: and sometimes they would do US events, but I got
- 11:50Speaker 5: to go with the US influencers because back then it
- 11:53Speaker 5: was like actually less divided than it is now now.
- 11:56Speaker 5: Each market there's so many influencers that they really focused
- 11:59Speaker 5: per market. But back then, like I was one of
- 12:01Speaker 5: the biggest, alongside the American ones, alongside the European ones,
- 12:05Speaker 5: so sometimes you'd just get grouped in with them for
- 12:08Speaker 5: brand deals and stuff. But yeah, so I got to
- 12:09Speaker 5: go on this huge brand trip. I just I told
- 12:11Speaker 5: my manager, he said, oh, I heard about this like.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Brand trip with Tart. Have you heard of it.
- 12:16Speaker 5: I was like, I'd love to go if they want,
- 12:17Speaker 5: and he actually asked, and that's how I got invited,
- 12:20Speaker 5: Like they didn't reach out to me. Yeah, but that
- 12:22Speaker 5: was how I got invited. And that's kind of like
- 12:24Speaker 5: how I met a lot of influencers from the US
- 12:28Speaker 5: for the first time in person. You know, I'd met
- 12:30Speaker 5: some of them here and there, but like that big
- 12:32Speaker 5: troop was like the start of these big influencer trips
- 12:34Speaker 5: and then I went on so many after that. Yeah,
- 12:36Speaker 5: And it's crazy because they'll fly you business class and
- 12:38Speaker 5: they like flew me, They flew my husband from Canada
- 12:41Speaker 5: business class, so like you know, they will go above
- 12:44Speaker 5: and beyond to get you do whatever you want. And
- 12:47Speaker 5: then it's like on the in the two thousand US
- 12:50Speaker 5: dollar a night rooms over the water and like just
- 12:54Speaker 5: anything you want, you can put it on room service.
- 12:56Speaker 5: We're all just totally tanked the whole time, like so drunk.
- 12:58Speaker 5: We could have whatever we want or to absolutely anything
- 13:00Speaker 5: to the room. And you get in there and there's
- 13:02Speaker 5: just like gifts and everything's spread out everywhere they eat
- 13:05Speaker 5: and even had a full luggage for us to put
- 13:09Speaker 5: everything because there's so much stuff that they gave us.
- 13:11Speaker 5: We got a drone, pads, oh god, I can't even
- 13:15Speaker 5: remember what other but just like shit, insane stuff.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Oh my god, was it so surreal? What is happening?
- 13:23Speaker 6: Crazy?
- 13:23Speaker 3: Yeah, Because I think that's like a misconception that I
- 13:27Speaker 3: think a lot of people have, is that people go
- 13:29Speaker 3: on the brand trips and they think that.
- 13:30Speaker 1: It's just expected.
- 13:32Speaker 3: But I think a lot of people are really grateful
- 13:34Speaker 3: and also like what is happening, Like they can't believe
- 13:37Speaker 3: that they've been given this opportunity.
- 13:38Speaker 5: I would never be able to and like I have,
- 13:41Speaker 5: you know, earned a good income, but it's not the
- 13:43Speaker 5: kind of income where you spend where you buy yourself
- 13:46Speaker 5: business class flights or you buy yourself a two thousand
- 13:48Speaker 5: dollars a night hotel unless it's your honeymoon. Yeah, it's
- 13:52Speaker 5: really cool how brands now, like you know, they still
- 13:55Speaker 5: work with influences, but I love seeing brands that also
- 13:57Speaker 5: do the community.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Trip, yes, and how they actually take customers and stuff.
- 14:01Speaker 6: That's really cool. Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so amazing seeing how it's like, you know,
- 14:06Speaker 4: there's still valid reason to work with creators and.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Absolutely like they do such a good job.
- 14:12Speaker 4: But I love also seeing brands that actually take their community.
- 14:15Speaker 6: Like Britney Beauty do that sometimes.
- 14:18Speaker 4: I think so Brittany did it with Fate and they did,
- 14:20Speaker 4: Like that's a trip that was amazing. Spicy question though,
- 14:24Speaker 4: Are there any brands that you refuse to work with?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 14:27Speaker 5: I worked with Model Co, Like when they first launched
- 14:30Speaker 5: into the US and it wasn't really aware that they
- 14:33Speaker 5: were known for duping. I did feel like the concealer
- 14:37Speaker 5: looked suspiciously like tart shaped tape, but otherwise they hadn't
- 14:40Speaker 5: launched a lot of the other products that were really duping.
- 14:44Speaker 1: They got sued for that, Oh.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Really yeah wait, yeah, because of the cap.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Yeah. I don't know if they settled in or out
- 14:51Speaker 4: of court or what actually happened, but Tart went for
- 14:54Speaker 4: them and they had to change the packaging.
- 14:56Speaker 5: Good because yeah, I felt like after you know, they
- 14:59Speaker 5: came to me to work with me a second time
- 15:02Speaker 5: and I said no because I just don't like that.
- 15:05Speaker 5: You know, I don't mind dupes like you know, color wise,
- 15:08Speaker 5: finish wise, but to dupe the whole packaging and marketing
- 15:12Speaker 5: and everything is icky to me.
- 15:14Speaker 6: And they didn't want to do it. And the products
- 15:16Speaker 6: like work like good for the price, but it's just
- 15:19Speaker 6: I just the.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yeah is spicy. You don't need to rip off.
- 15:24Speaker 5: Like I feel like Elf sometimes does dupes. Yeah, I
- 15:27Speaker 5: think some of them probably do copy packaging, but generally
- 15:30Speaker 5: they stick to their kind of branding them themselves their branding.
- 15:33Speaker 4: A good someone gave us as well is to like,
- 15:36Speaker 4: look who at who owns like majority of the brands,
- 15:39Speaker 4: because it's like Esta Lauda for example, they own a
- 15:42Speaker 4: lot of brands, or like Lorel Group, they own a
- 15:45Speaker 4: lot of brands.
- 15:45Speaker 1: So I think Lorel also owns Georgia l Maney.
- 15:48Speaker 4: I might be getting this wrong, but the tipp is
- 15:51Speaker 4: still the same. Yeah, that they all are under like
- 15:54Speaker 4: one big house, right, and like in one room there's
- 15:57Speaker 4: Georgia Rmney, but in the other room Laurel. And because
- 16:01Speaker 4: they're all under the same house, they're privy to like
- 16:03Speaker 4: the formulas and all of that stuff. So you actually
- 16:06Speaker 4: do end up getting really similar.
- 16:07Speaker 6: I think, especially with Cell and Larel.
- 16:10Speaker 5: I always noticed, like when I was working with them,
- 16:12Speaker 5: like why a Cell had those great lip tints around
- 16:15Speaker 5: the same time or maybe a little bit after Loreol
- 16:17Speaker 5: would like also release a Lipton, and I would feel
- 16:20Speaker 5: like they were very similar. And Loreol's great because the
- 16:23Speaker 5: packaging is still really lux and gorgeous and the formulas
- 16:25Speaker 5: are great, and like, yes, it would be. I think
- 16:27Speaker 5: the difference is like the quality of the raw ingredients
- 16:30Speaker 5: and the packaging is the main difference.
- 16:32Speaker 6: You know.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to get into a story time that.
- 16:36Speaker 4: I saw you post about, but I didn't watch the
- 16:39Speaker 4: whole thing because I wanted to be shocked, I wanted
- 16:40Speaker 4: to be gooped, and I wanted to be gags. But
- 16:42Speaker 4: tell us about the time that you befriended a follower
- 16:45Speaker 4: and they stole from you. Okay, it was crazy what
- 16:47Speaker 4: happened in the beginning, well, like I was saying earlier,
- 16:50Speaker 4: I was super involved in the community and you know,
- 16:52Speaker 4: would write back to every comment back in I probably
- 16:55Speaker 4: met her in about twenty ten, twenty eleven. You took comments,
- 16:59Speaker 4: and then it moved to YouTube dms and wait.
- 17:01Speaker 6: That's a thing. Yeah YouTube had dms.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, I'm not with it.
- 17:07Speaker 6: Yeah. Well YouTube was like.
- 17:08Speaker 5: This was before Instagram, so it was kind of there
- 17:10Speaker 5: was that and Facebook and that was it. And then
- 17:14Speaker 5: we sort of, I gu guess, got chatting about topics
- 17:17Speaker 5: and then we suggested to become friends on Facebook. So
- 17:20Speaker 5: we were friends. Like on Facebook, I could see she
- 17:22Speaker 5: was a real person. I saw her pictures and we'd
- 17:24Speaker 5: comment on each other stuff and we sort of were
- 17:26Speaker 5: online friends. And then in twenty thirteen, my mum won
- 17:32Speaker 5: these free flights from a contest to go to England,
- 17:35Speaker 5: and so she asked me to go with her because
- 17:37Speaker 5: my sister had UNI and I was on YouTube so
- 17:39Speaker 5: I could film anywhere. And I told her like, hey,
- 17:42Speaker 5: me and my mom are coming to the UK. Would
- 17:44Speaker 5: you like to meet up for a coffee?
- 17:45Speaker 6: And she said yes, and we'd organized.
- 17:47Speaker 5: I went to She's actually from Windsor, so we mom
- 17:50Speaker 5: and I after a couple of days, caught the train out.
- 17:52Speaker 5: She and her friend picked us up from the station,
- 17:55Speaker 5: took us out to the pub. We went to Castle
- 17:58Speaker 5: and we became really good friends. She was absolutely lovely.
- 18:01Speaker 5: She'd met my mum and then my mum was super
- 18:03Speaker 5: chill and was like, I'm going to go back to
- 18:05Speaker 5: London and relax. You can like go out tonight or whatever.
- 18:08Speaker 5: And so I went out and Windsor with her and
- 18:10Speaker 5: her friends, met her friends. Then later on in the trip,
- 18:13Speaker 5: I think I met up with her again. Anyway, we
- 18:15Speaker 5: became genuine friends and she seemed completely normal and really cool.
- 18:19Speaker 6: Yeah, And then I.
- 18:21Speaker 5: Think the following year I started traveling a lot. That's
- 18:24Speaker 5: what I used my YouTube money with on and I
- 18:28Speaker 5: went back to Europe for like four months in the
- 18:30Speaker 5: following years. Three following years, I think, and I met
- 18:33Speaker 5: up with her the next time. We went on a
- 18:36Speaker 5: big like all south London England, so then England in
- 18:41Speaker 5: her little car friends. Yeah, like a road trip just
- 18:45Speaker 5: for two whole weeks south of London.
- 18:46Speaker 6: We were really close mates.
- 18:49Speaker 5: And I remember around that trip I did notice that
- 18:52Speaker 5: like bills were going missing, like my pound notes were
- 18:55Speaker 5: going missing, No, and I was I swear I had
- 18:58Speaker 5: more money than that, but again I was a little drunkard,
- 19:02Speaker 5: like just like.
- 19:04Speaker 4: I feel like that's an easy thing to do, Like yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 4: people would be like, oh, I.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Was like, did I drop that? Yeah, you know, that's weird.
- 19:10Speaker 5: I thought I had one hundred more pounds, but weird.
- 19:13Speaker 5: But I didn't think it was her because I remember
- 19:15Speaker 5: talking to her about it and she's like, that's so weird.
- 19:18Speaker 5: This is yeah, this is weird. And then I went
- 19:21Speaker 5: back to Australia and then at the end of that year,
- 19:24Speaker 5: because during our summer, their winter, she didn't celebrate Christmas,
- 19:28Speaker 5: so I offered to have her come to visit in Australia.
- 19:31Speaker 5: She'd have Christmas with me and my family, and she
- 19:34Speaker 5: came over. I picked her up like it was me
- 19:36Speaker 5: and her the whole time. It was like three or
- 19:37Speaker 5: four weeks. And then halfway sort of toward the end,
- 19:42Speaker 5: I noticed that, like my makeup was going missing, because
- 19:44Speaker 5: you know, I have a makeup room filled with makeup.
- 19:46Speaker 5: I have makeup on display in the background, perfumes, like
- 19:50Speaker 5: thousands of lipsticks and stuff, and just you know, I'd
- 19:53Speaker 5: go to grab my favorites and be like, that's not
- 19:55Speaker 5: where it should be, that's weird. I just was like,
- 19:59Speaker 5: I misplace everything, and I started to get in my hair. Oh,
- 20:02Speaker 5: maybe she's maybe she's taking myself like or maybe someone's
- 20:05Speaker 5: borrowing it. Because I did have a house maid at
- 20:07Speaker 5: the time. She was one of her best friends, and
- 20:09Speaker 5: my mum and my sister would come and stay with
- 20:10Speaker 5: me periodically. I was like, maybe someone's just not telling
- 20:13Speaker 5: me or I've misplaced it. And on the last day,
- 20:16Speaker 5: like literally before we're about to take her to the airport,
- 20:18Speaker 5: I was painting my nails on the coffee table. She
- 20:21Speaker 5: was there, I was there, My sister and my housemate
- 20:23Speaker 5: were not there, but my housemate's dog, little puppy was
- 20:26Speaker 5: there with us, a four legged puppy animal a dog, okay,
- 20:32Speaker 5: non opposable thumbs.
- 20:35Speaker 6: I'm painting my nails and you know how.
- 20:36Speaker 5: With your nail polish is you take off the silver
- 20:38Speaker 5: cap and then there's the little black twist cap like
- 20:40Speaker 5: it's fancy. So you gotta have the silver cap kind
- 20:42Speaker 5: of sitting on the table while you do nails. So
- 20:45Speaker 5: I was painting my nails. I finished, finished one layer,
- 20:48Speaker 5: I put the black cap back on the silver cap
- 20:50Speaker 5: is still there on the table. I go pee, come back,
- 20:53Speaker 5: and the nail polish is gone, but not just the
- 20:54Speaker 5: nail polish, the cap as well. And I was like,
- 20:57Speaker 5: where the fuck is my nail polish? And she's like,
- 20:59Speaker 5: I don't know, and I'm like, well, I don't know
- 21:01Speaker 5: what you mean because unless yeah, literally, dog pick up.
- 21:06Speaker 6: A She was like, maybe the dog eight I'm playing
- 21:09Speaker 6: the dog.
- 21:10Speaker 5: I was like the dog, which the dog was so weird,
- 21:14Speaker 5: but like also it picked up both pieces, the nail
- 21:17Speaker 5: polish and the cap, like no, and the puppy was
- 21:20Speaker 5: like this big, like the size of my hand at
- 21:22Speaker 5: the time, And wouldn't she.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Have noticed that too? She was in the room, and.
- 21:26Speaker 5: I was so freaked out because it was so disturbing
- 21:29Speaker 5: to think that of someone very close. I just kept
- 21:33Speaker 5: making excuses. I was like, literally, maybe the dog did
- 21:36Speaker 5: pick it up with its mouth. Come back and pick
- 21:38Speaker 5: up that silver bit and go weird anyway, And so
- 21:41Speaker 5: she leaves and then I make another you know, we're
- 21:44Speaker 5: still friends, I have in the back of my head,
- 21:46Speaker 5: surely my friend cannot be dealing from me.
- 21:48Speaker 6: That's so violating, terrifying.
- 21:52Speaker 5: So I'm still her friend, but in the back of
- 21:54Speaker 5: my mind, I'm like, I just need to know once
- 21:57Speaker 5: and for all. So I had organized my next year
- 21:59Speaker 5: up trip, which was my my thing. Now felt like
- 22:01Speaker 5: I had friends, you know, all throughout Europe. By now,
- 22:03Speaker 5: I'd made so many friends and it was my favorite thing.
- 22:06Speaker 5: So I organized to come back. She was gonna pick
- 22:07Speaker 5: me up from the airport in June or whenever it was,
- 22:11Speaker 5: and I tell my friend who was house sitting for me.
- 22:13Speaker 5: I was like, Okay, I'm gonna go and check in
- 22:16Speaker 5: her room and see if I can find any of
- 22:18Speaker 5: my stuff I had, Like a I knew exactly specific
- 22:20Speaker 5: things like I had multiple perfumes that were limited edition,
- 22:24Speaker 5: special edition, like from years.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Before that I knew, like she just didn't have yeah them, Yeah,
- 22:29Speaker 4: a lot of stuff.
- 22:30Speaker 6: You couldn't buy it.
- 22:30Speaker 5: But the clincher was this Chloe perfume that Chloe had
- 22:33Speaker 5: had engraved, so it had, you know, the logo Chloe
- 22:36Speaker 5: on it, but Chloe engraved in cursive that. I was like,
- 22:40Speaker 5: if she has that, and if she has this other
- 22:42Speaker 5: brand makeup store, because my friend owned makeup store the
- 22:45Speaker 5: rights in Australia. There's only one store in London that
- 22:48Speaker 5: stocked this brand. So if she had that, I knew,
- 22:51Speaker 5: like she'd already told me that she yea. So she
- 22:55Speaker 5: picks me up from the airport.
- 22:58Speaker 6: We go to a pub. I'm like sweating.
- 23:00Speaker 5: Like this is like I'm a spy on a mission, right,
- 23:05Speaker 5: go back to her house. Were sitting in her bed
- 23:08Speaker 5: watching only we as essex or something, and you know,
- 23:10Speaker 5: I'm trying to act normal waiting.
- 23:12Speaker 6: For her to form like an undercover mission.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Impossible sherlock homes.
- 23:18Speaker 5: So I got out of bed. When she finally fell asleep,
- 23:21Speaker 5: open up the drawers. I could kind of see some
- 23:23Speaker 5: stuff out already, but I couldn't go up and you know,
- 23:26Speaker 5: pick it up until she was asleep. I go up there,
- 23:29Speaker 5: I find so many items I recognize. Also, this girl's
- 23:32Speaker 5: were not the same skin tone, so she had stolen
- 23:34Speaker 5: items that like she and I would not, she didn't
- 23:37Speaker 5: match them. And so I'm like, that is my color.
- 23:38Speaker 5: It's not her color, so it's mine. I know it's mine.
- 23:41Speaker 5: I recognized my own items. And then I found the perfume.
- 23:44Speaker 5: I found this little paint on Chloe perfume, like I
- 23:46Speaker 5: had a little paint brush. It wasn't a normal perfume.
- 23:48Speaker 5: It was very limited edition. It had the same amount
- 23:52Speaker 5: in it from when I had it, Like I just
- 23:54Speaker 5: knew it was all my stuff. I freaked the fuck
- 23:56Speaker 5: out and I knew it was coming, but I snucked downstairs,
- 24:01Speaker 5: closed up my luggage. I didn't even have, you know,
- 24:03Speaker 5: a working phone yet, because back then you had to
- 24:05Speaker 5: buy like a dongle. So I didn't even get a
- 24:09Speaker 5: dongle yet.
- 24:10Speaker 6: And so I just turned on room.
- 24:11Speaker 5: I can't remember how I ordered an uber or sorry,
- 24:14Speaker 5: a taxi, but I caught the hour and a half
- 24:16Speaker 5: taxi back to London. I just yet it from her house.
- 24:19Speaker 6: I was like, of course it was.
- 24:22Speaker 5: I wasn't and it was just so surreal. And I
- 24:25Speaker 5: sent her a message and I was like, listen, x I,
- 24:32Speaker 5: nothing you can say is gonna change my mind. Either
- 24:34Speaker 5: you deny it or or you say yes. So because
- 24:36Speaker 5: I know you stole my things, I found them there,
- 24:39Speaker 5: Like there's no arguing with this.
- 24:40Speaker 6: It's so weird.
- 24:42Speaker 5: I think in my podcast I did read out the
- 24:44Speaker 5: actual message. I can't remember what it was on this phone.
- 24:47Speaker 5: I would read it for you, but all she ever
- 24:49Speaker 5: said was She's like, I don't know what you mean.
- 24:51Speaker 5: I don't understand I don't get it why you're doing this,
- 24:54Speaker 5: Like she wouldn't even acknowledge the situation or like say,
- 24:57Speaker 5: I would never steal from you.
- 25:00Speaker 6: I can't think that of me.
- 25:02Speaker 1: She just like skit it over.
- 25:03Speaker 5: It was so weird, frustrating, And we had like organized
- 25:07Speaker 5: two or three weeks vacation together. I'd booked flights for
- 25:10Speaker 5: us to go to Croatia, like she the next day
- 25:13Speaker 5: we meant to go to this music festival, and apparently
- 25:16Speaker 5: she was telling people that I stole from because I'm
- 25:19Speaker 5: still friends with some of her friends and they told
- 25:22Speaker 5: me because you know, whenever this story comes up, she.
- 25:26Speaker 6: Says it about me.
- 25:28Speaker 5: I don't think it was that she was a fan
- 25:30Speaker 5: or anything. I didn't think it was that kind of thing.
- 25:32Speaker 5: It's just like the compulsion to take belonging to.
- 25:37Speaker 4: I think is like the really crazy one though, is
- 25:40Speaker 4: like taking the bills of money.
- 25:43Speaker 6: Out of your wallet, like that came less to me crazy.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Well, yeah, coming into your.
- 25:48Speaker 5: Does that make sense, yes, Like, but my personal belongings
- 25:51Speaker 5: that like you can't can't even use.
- 25:54Speaker 6: So it was just like I just wanted to take
- 25:57Speaker 6: it from me. So I don't know that is crazy.
- 26:00Speaker 5: It's still things that they need or want to use.
- 26:03Speaker 5: I kind of like, that's.
- 26:04Speaker 1: It's not as like it's not as weird.
- 26:07Speaker 6: Also like someone else's makeup, like that's it's dirty.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Like you don't want to use I don't understand why, honestly,
- 26:13Speaker 4: so we how crazy? Yeah, okay, well it's switching is
- 26:17Speaker 4: a little bit. We want to have you seen how
- 26:19Speaker 4: like twenty sixteen is back?
- 26:21Speaker 1: Yes, how do you feel?
- 26:23Speaker 6: How do you feel?
- 26:24Speaker 5: I mean, I think it's great now I can use
- 26:26Speaker 5: a lot more of the products I've got in my.
- 26:28Speaker 6: Straws at home.
- 26:29Speaker 5: I like it, especially because I felt like the clean
- 26:32Speaker 5: girl aesthetic or whatever they call it, you know, the
- 26:34Speaker 5: minimalist vibe that we're having lined up very well with
- 26:36Speaker 5: me and at my period in my life with having
- 26:39Speaker 5: kids and just kind of feeling like, oh I don't
- 26:41Speaker 5: have as much time now that they're a little bit older.
- 26:43Speaker 6: I'm enjoying kind of getting back into.
- 26:45Speaker 2: The wild vibes you play with makeup again.
- 26:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm back into my full slashes and it's exciting,
- 26:51Speaker 5: like all the new approaches and new tech and stuff
- 26:55Speaker 5: that we have available. Like back in the day in
- 26:57Speaker 5: twenty sixteen, it was all about the strip lashes. Now
- 26:59Speaker 5: I feel like I've got my underlash routine. Yeah, totally
- 27:04Speaker 5: upgraded and just like twenty sixteen makeup, but upgraded.
- 27:06Speaker 6: It's really bad.
- 27:07Speaker 1: I know, I agree, But no concealer lips. We can
- 27:10Speaker 1: leave that?
- 27:11Speaker 6: Yeah, way bad.
- 27:14Speaker 1: That was so strange.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Yeah, like I thought I was killing it.
- 27:19Speaker 6: We really if I could go back and just buff
- 27:21Speaker 6: out my brows, people used to be like, You've got
- 27:23Speaker 6: the best eyebrows.
- 27:25Speaker 5: I look back, Oh my god, I used to just
- 27:28Speaker 5: draw them in really bold.
- 27:31Speaker 4: Yeah we all did, did brow she was she was
- 27:34Speaker 4: the moment ware ahead, Like, yeah, I see it. We'll
- 27:39Speaker 4: probably like look back on a bunch of things we
- 27:41Speaker 4: do now and be like, okay, that would be crazy.
- 27:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:44Speaker 4: But what's one product that has lasted through all the trends,
- 27:47Speaker 4: like all the years that you would still recommend that's
- 27:50Speaker 4: like a go.
- 27:50Speaker 5: To uh the Maybolene concealer with the little spongy tear.
- 27:56Speaker 1: What's it called?
- 27:56Speaker 5: Yeah, adri Wines. I mean I still use that and
- 28:00Speaker 5: I still use it like for bronzing, like a darker
- 28:02Speaker 5: colored for bronzing. I feel like that that was an.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Original, Like you know how Charlotte Tilbury has that like
- 28:09Speaker 4: bronze a sponge yep, and it's like that's an OG product.
- 28:12Speaker 4: I'm like, actually the sponge Maybolene had it going fast.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Yeah, that was the the concealer. Yeah.
- 28:22Speaker 5: Yeah, a lot of these base products that like they're
- 28:24Speaker 5: reformulating now. So there's the new SDA latter one. I
- 28:27Speaker 5: just went to America for the relaunch of that. But
- 28:29Speaker 5: that's like a thirty year old founder a double wab. Yeah,
- 28:31Speaker 5: and then Armani Luminous Silk.
- 28:33Speaker 6: As well, Like they're still around. Yeah, that's I haven't
- 28:36Speaker 6: tried it yet.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I haven't tried it either.
- 28:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:38Speaker 5: So all of those ogs, like they're still around and
- 28:41Speaker 5: they're not going to get rid of them because they're
- 28:43Speaker 5: like what people go to repurchase. Yeah.
- 28:45Speaker 4: I also saw in a post recently, like speaking of
- 28:49Speaker 4: twenty and sixteen, you're actually a fan of.
- 28:52Speaker 1: The Saint Ives Apricol scrub.
- 28:57Speaker 4: This is so interesting to me because that product is
- 28:59Speaker 4: probab probably be one of the most that's received.
- 29:01Speaker 6: The most slander.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Can you explain to me why because I was subscribed toder.
- 29:06Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just a.
- 29:07Speaker 5: Silly myth that took off because there was, you know,
- 29:10Speaker 5: a class action lawsuit where someone said they had some
- 29:13Speaker 5: kind of reaction and claimed that it caused micro tears,
- 29:16Speaker 5: but they were never able to provide proof. But somehow
- 29:19Speaker 5: just the news got ran with it in case either
- 29:22Speaker 5: got dismissed or settled out of court. But there's never
- 29:25Speaker 5: been any evidence of that, and obviously the product is
- 29:28Speaker 5: still available on the shelves.
- 29:30Speaker 6: It's like never changed or anything.
- 29:32Speaker 5: It's just a myth that because yeah, it is a
- 29:34Speaker 5: pretty scrubby scrub.
- 29:36Speaker 6: Yeah, but not everyone has.
- 29:39Speaker 5: Very sensitive skin. And I've never had really sensitive skin.
- 29:42Speaker 5: And my skin gets super congested and if I don't exfoliate,
- 29:46Speaker 5: like within three days, the congestions just out of this
- 29:48Speaker 5: world and things start to build up and my makeup
- 29:51Speaker 5: stops going on smoothly, and like the blackheads and everything
- 29:53Speaker 5: are crazy. So I can easily use a physical scrub
- 29:57Speaker 5: every day, and you know, I have a dermatologist, and
- 30:00Speaker 5: every time I seems like you have the best skin.
- 30:02Speaker 5: Whatever you're doing, keep doing. So I love Saint Ives
- 30:05Speaker 5: and I love that it's affordable. There's not many scrubs
- 30:08Speaker 5: out there that are nice and physical. Yeah, I've just
- 30:11Speaker 5: got resilient skin like I can. Yeah, you know, like
- 30:14Speaker 5: I'm not much happened my chest though, Oh my god,
- 30:17Speaker 5: just a little dab of perfume and ites.
- 30:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean right now, look at it.
- 30:21Speaker 5: It's like all red and so I just yeah, my
- 30:23Speaker 5: chest skin is different to my face skin. And that's the.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Thing is like a product that doesn't work for some
- 30:29Speaker 4: like yeah, but it's just.
- 30:32Speaker 5: It annoys me when how whenever I talk about everyone's like,
- 30:35Speaker 5: that's so bad for you, But no, not everyone has
- 30:39Speaker 5: pussy as sensitive skin. Okay, some of us can handle
- 30:43Speaker 5: it and do not diss my saint ives.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Oh my god, no, it's an old wives taile.
- 30:50Speaker 5: I kind of want to try it now, just I'm
- 30:53Speaker 5: sure if you have sensitive skin, it's a no go.
- 30:56Speaker 1: I'll I'm going to try it for like a month
- 30:59Speaker 1: and we'll see what happened.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Oh my god, I come back with what kind of
- 31:04Speaker 6: ski do you have?
- 31:05Speaker 4: I don't really know, just in there. Actually I think
- 31:07Speaker 4: I do skins. Maybe I shouldn't use it.
- 31:10Speaker 1: You're working at me being like stop no.
- 31:13Speaker 2: After the week I've had with my skin, I'm like,
- 31:16Speaker 2: don't you know you're not allowed?
- 31:18Speaker 4: What is like your number one makeup tip for like
- 31:20Speaker 4: a flawless look.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Light layers, building up and I think that's something I
- 31:24Speaker 5: learned from professional makeup artists like Patrick Taw has done
- 31:27Speaker 5: my makeup before. Super light layers but just like and
- 31:31Speaker 5: very small brushes, super light layers building up, very light
- 31:35Speaker 5: hand building up, just lots of layers, but very light,
- 31:39Speaker 5: minimal building up.
- 31:40Speaker 1: And that's why, like good makeup actually takes a really
- 31:42Speaker 1: long time.
- 31:43Speaker 5: It takes so long for them to but it looks
- 31:46Speaker 5: phenomenal like and that's why. Yeah, whereas I feel like me,
- 31:50Speaker 5: I'm just like, okay, put on the foundation a whole
- 31:52Speaker 5: bunch at once and just and then you know, eyebrows
- 31:54Speaker 5: just do it, whereas they will like build up, step back,
- 31:57Speaker 5: do a little bit, step back. They're very artists. More brushes, Yeah,
- 32:01Speaker 5: I did notice, like even when doing powder, they don't
- 32:04Speaker 5: use like a big powder brush. They'll use like a
- 32:06Speaker 5: little like it looks a little bit bigger than a
- 32:08Speaker 5: eye blending brush. Like there's a mac one that I
- 32:10Speaker 5: love that's quite a long kind of blendy brush and
- 32:13Speaker 5: that's like what sometimes they use and they just do
- 32:15Speaker 5: a fine dusting.
- 32:16Speaker 1: What are your favorite brand of makeup brushes?
- 32:20Speaker 6: I really love t Neil Jai brushes.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Makeup brushes and her cream bronzeer is viral.
- 32:25Speaker 5: I haven't tried the bronzeer, but yeah, her brushes are
- 32:29Speaker 5: great and elish. I love that she's an assie that
- 32:32Speaker 5: is great makeup artist.
- 32:33Speaker 3: We want to round out the episode by doing a
- 32:35Speaker 3: quick fire of your top drugstore product.
- 32:38Speaker 6: Okay, so so nipe, just for every.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Single thing, Okay, starting off foundation photo already.
- 32:47Speaker 5: Has been discontinued. That was always my favorite. But no,
- 32:50Speaker 5: they do have like a new skin tint.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Which was good, amazing, Okay.
- 32:53Speaker 6: Concealer adri Wind.
- 32:56Speaker 5: Yeah, lip lips, the Revlon Nude lip gloss that I
- 33:01Speaker 5: always talk about, the Revlon Nude lip gloss.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I love that.
- 33:05Speaker 5: Mascara probably maybe Lene's Skyhart is it sky high?
- 33:09Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 33:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, I love that.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Also, the like burgundy colored one is.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Oh, it's really nice. It's really really cool.
- 33:16Speaker 6: Cool beans.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Yeah, blush again, probably Revlon and bronze, the big Rimmer one. Yes, Yeah,
- 33:24Speaker 5: that one's lasted me so long and it's a good staple.
- 33:26Speaker 1: What's an expensive product that you think is worth the
- 33:29Speaker 1: price tag?
- 33:30Speaker 6: I think complexion products. I love expensive price tag.
- 33:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean that's just what I generally like to
- 33:36Speaker 5: splurge on and like I feel like a finely milled powder,
- 33:39Speaker 5: like the expensive powders are really nice. And also because
- 33:42Speaker 5: it's the kind of thing I like to take with
- 33:43Speaker 5: me to touch up. So like the powders, I really
- 33:46Speaker 5: love like those Girlan compacts. They're like collectible, all the
- 33:49Speaker 5: little beads, like I don't know, I just like it's
- 33:51Speaker 5: the finishing touch. And you know, I like it when
- 33:54Speaker 5: they have a scent, because again I don't have sensitive skin.
- 33:57Speaker 5: I love to like make it smells like glamorous natas.
- 34:02Speaker 5: I just like that vibes and pulling out a nice
- 34:04Speaker 5: compact when you replay lipstick or when you touch up.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I love these romance.
- 34:08Speaker 4: It's the romance of what product isn't worth a high
- 34:11Speaker 4: priced tag or the.
- 34:13Speaker 5: Hype Muscara, I think because it dries out after a
- 34:16Speaker 5: couple of months, So yeah, MUSCAA, I always regret, Like
- 34:19Speaker 5: last time I bought a Chanel Muscara. It's great, but
- 34:22Speaker 5: I don't use it enough to if it was my
- 34:24Speaker 5: every day and you know, I was working on a
- 34:26Speaker 5: capsule collection. Yeah, but for me, I tend to dip
- 34:31Speaker 5: and choose depending on what look I want, So I'd
- 34:33Speaker 5: say affordable.
- 34:34Speaker 6: Mascas are just the way to go.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I love that.
- 34:37Speaker 5: And sunscreen, oh, because you can get such a good
- 34:40Speaker 5: sunscreen for under fifteen bucks.
- 34:43Speaker 6: You know, thank you so much for joining us. That
- 34:46Speaker 6: was super fun. I don't want to go so quick
- 34:49Speaker 6: to stay through on this couch.
- 34:52Speaker 1: It's so cunty. It's so cunty.
- 34:55Speaker 3: We always like to finish our episodes with our guests
- 34:57Speaker 3: with one final question, and that's what's your biggest life
- 35:01Speaker 3: lesson on your journey so far?
- 35:03Speaker 5: There's a lot of times where you got to say
- 35:05Speaker 5: no to things, but I also think like just saying
- 35:07Speaker 5: yes and being open to flexibility, and you know, there
- 35:10Speaker 5: have been a lot of opportunities I've gotten because I
- 35:12Speaker 5: was willing to put myself out there and like, for example,
- 35:14Speaker 5: that tart trip. I wouldn't have gone on that if
- 35:16Speaker 5: I hadn't like put my hand up and said, hey,
- 35:18Speaker 5: if someone's.
- 35:19Speaker 6: Dropped out, like can I come to Yeah, just.
- 35:21Speaker 5: Like put yourself out there. And that's also how I
- 35:24Speaker 5: got on YouTube. I got bullied for by the people
- 35:27Speaker 5: I went to school with for making my daggy lame
- 35:32Speaker 5: makeup videos. But because of this, like I've had the life,
- 35:35Speaker 5: a life that I couldn't have ever dreamed of. And
- 35:37Speaker 5: so I like, I'm just I'm proud of myself for
- 35:39Speaker 5: putting myself out there, yeah, when it wasn't cool to
- 35:42Speaker 5: do so.
- 35:43Speaker 6: So I'm lucky. I feel killed the cool girl.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Yes, seriously, thank you so much for coming on this show.
- 35:52Speaker 6: So great to meet you guys. That's also yeah, i
- 35:54Speaker 6: feel like.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I've known you, like I know a long time. I'm like, yeah,
- 35:58Speaker 1: I're best friend.
- 35:59Speaker 6: Thank you everyone, Thank.
- 36:00Speaker 4: You, thank you for having us in your ear holes.
- 36:03Speaker 1: We love to be here and we'll catch it next time.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Bye check bye re
