- 0:30Speaker 3: It is Thursday here at Jillette Stadium, and I sound
- 0:33Speaker 3: a little weird.
- 0:34Speaker 4: It's a little echoe, little echoe.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Oh, that's better.
- 0:37Speaker 5: There we go.
- 0:37Speaker 3: That's better that Matt's not here. Jules is in the booth,
- 0:41Speaker 3: so blame it on her. No, we're on air. She
- 0:45Speaker 3: just put the on air sign on. Ready to go.
- 0:48Speaker 3: All right, it is Alex, it's Paul, it's me do
- 0:51Speaker 3: some uh what's his name?
- 0:54Speaker 4: Evan?
- 0:54Speaker 3: Evan. O'll be bye later. We'll do the picks. So
- 0:57Speaker 3: we got a hurry. It's a big day. No no bye.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Any Another strong week, another strong week. Everybody finishing strong week.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I think that's a sign of the league doesn't have
- 1:06Speaker 3: the parody that it likes to have.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Yeah, probably be a little bit of a truth to that.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Okay, all right, so we're talking Patriots. The bills are
- 1:15Speaker 3: coming up on Sunday at four twenty five, it's going
- 1:19Speaker 3: to be cold. What do we got got We have
- 1:23Speaker 3: coordinators today.
- 1:24Speaker 4: We have coordinators today, and what do these guys have
- 1:27Speaker 4: to say? So Alex and I were there with with
- 1:31Speaker 4: Mike and Evan, and I would say that my big
- 1:34Speaker 4: takeaway is a lot of the stuff that we've sort
- 1:36Speaker 4: of opined about Drake May's usage or lack thereof as
- 1:42Speaker 4: a runner. His was kind of confirmed as being accurate,
- 1:45Speaker 4: you know. Alex man Pelt sort of admitted, Yeah, I
- 1:47Speaker 4: mean one of our main goals right now is to
- 1:50Speaker 4: get him to the finish line healthy. You know, we've
- 1:52Speaker 4: gotten some experience, we've seen some good things from him.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Want to make sure that we get him to year
- 1:57Speaker 4: two healthy. So I do in I think Evan actually
- 2:01Speaker 4: asked one of the follow ups, you know, if the
- 2:03Speaker 4: record were different, you know, might you look at some
- 2:07Speaker 4: of these in a different way? And he said absolutely,
- 2:09Speaker 4: you know, a third and two with a playoff spot
- 2:10Speaker 4: in the line, we might look at it a little
- 2:12Speaker 4: bit differently.
- 2:12Speaker 5: Okay.
- 2:13Speaker 4: So I think the way we've all talked about this
- 2:17Speaker 4: protect Drake May. Yeah, I think the coaches are thinking
- 2:19Speaker 4: the same life Okay, So we were right.
- 2:21Speaker 6: Yeah, and a VP brought up his time in Cleveland
- 2:23Speaker 6: when that kind of did happen when they did lose
- 2:25Speaker 6: a quarterback.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Last year year. So Sean Watson, Yeah, I like him.
- 2:29Speaker 7: It's really hard to not like him.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Oh, AVP, I'm glad you weren't talking about de Sean Watson.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Well uh oh, well, so that that's you know, transparent
- 2:41Speaker 3: confirms like you said, what we were talking about. And
- 2:45Speaker 3: does it mean that, Okay, we're not going to see.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Running Yeah, I mean I don't. I wouldn't take it
- 2:51Speaker 4: that far. I wouldn't expect to see all of a
- 2:53Speaker 4: sudden an influx of zone reads like designed runs or
- 2:56Speaker 4: anything like that that we haven't seen yet. He did
- 2:59Speaker 4: say that they feel comfortable using him in a quarterback sneak,
- 3:03Speaker 4: so you know, maybe if that kind of a situation
- 3:06Speaker 4: arises again, maybe they'll they'll turn that way. It did
- 3:11Speaker 4: certainly seem like he's open to it, and I don't
- 3:15Speaker 4: know it was there was some kind of thing I
- 3:18Speaker 4: was thinking back to what like Mayo said earlier in
- 3:21Speaker 4: the week and what Alex said today, maybe not necessarily
- 3:26Speaker 4: quite on the same page, you know, I you know,
- 3:28Speaker 4: I think Alex used the term like you know, I
- 3:30Speaker 4: you know, I worked for him, you know, and I
- 3:34Speaker 4: have his back, I have Girod's back and what he
- 3:37Speaker 4: wants and whatnot. He was talking about. Not really, he
- 3:41Speaker 4: wasn't aware of that whole you said it. I didn't
- 3:43Speaker 4: he would comment. No, not at the time. And then
- 3:46Speaker 4: Gerard came to him and just sort of clarified it
- 3:50Speaker 4: and said, Hey, this is what I said. This is
- 3:52Speaker 4: not really necessarily how I meant it. Yeah, So that's
- 3:58Speaker 4: the Drake may running situation.
- 4:00Speaker 3: The offensive side of the ball. What about the defensive
- 4:02Speaker 3: side of the ball.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Just trying to get better, working on fundamentals. I think this,
- 4:08Speaker 4: I don't know, seems like there's some frustration there. I
- 4:10Speaker 4: think from Covington, you know, not necessary. I think he
- 4:14Speaker 4: feels like they're capable of playing better than they have
- 4:17Speaker 4: just talked about some some execution, been different things at
- 4:20Speaker 4: different times.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Was there any indication from either Van Pelt or Covington
- 4:27Speaker 3: that Mayo was coming down hard on them, like, you know,
- 4:31Speaker 3: the coaches told us that we need to be or
- 4:33Speaker 3: anything like that that would indicate Mayo has laid down
- 4:37Speaker 3: the law.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Did you see anything like that, Alex?
- 4:41Speaker 6: Not really, No, I I feel like they kind of
- 4:43Speaker 6: in some ways one other way to like, like the
- 4:46Speaker 6: comments you just mentioned where ABP is like I have
- 4:48Speaker 6: his back, I have Mayo's back. Seems like they were
- 4:51Speaker 6: trying to like deflect the questions about that.
- 4:54Speaker 3: But I didn't get that impression Covington did.
- 4:56Speaker 4: I thought, you know, toward the end of his his
- 4:58Speaker 4: press conference, you know, I thought it was interesting that
- 5:00Speaker 4: he really went out of his way to talk about
- 5:03Speaker 4: how on board everybody still is talked about them, that
- 5:10Speaker 4: they're coming in there every every day, they're working hard,
- 5:12Speaker 4: they're preparing, they're doing everything we've asked. He said, I'm
- 5:15Speaker 4: proud of the way that they've continued to work, and
- 5:17Speaker 4: he actually said, you guys should be proud of the
- 5:19Speaker 4: way they've continued to work too.
- 5:22Speaker 7: To us, there's a couple of head nods like, yeah,
- 5:24Speaker 7: we should be.
- 5:25Speaker 3: You know that. I am very proud.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Well, you were proud of Patricia in the train wreck
- 5:30Speaker 4: of an offense that he put together, which I would
- 5:35Speaker 4: kill for now, by the way.
- 5:39Speaker 3: So okay, so that's your that's your coordinator Thursday.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't. I didn't think it was an overly
- 5:48Speaker 4: eventful one. The big takeaway to me was Van Pelt's
- 5:51Speaker 4: talking about May's running, you know, and there was obviously
- 5:54Speaker 4: that was numerous questions about that.
- 5:57Speaker 3: We'll get the practice report when Evan comes back from that.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I assume that they're going to be outdoors today. It's
- 6:04Speaker 3: still in the forties for late December, so pretty nice
- 6:09Speaker 3: today too. Yeah, you're not coming home.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's supposed to get cold on Saturday. Here.
- 6:14Speaker 3: You're not going to get close to what they're going
- 6:15Speaker 3: to see in Buffalo on Sunday, teens and getting down
- 6:20Speaker 3: to single digits. Dark evenings would be dark. Question about
- 6:25Speaker 3: the winnowing, which was darking.
- 6:26Speaker 4: But you ever been to Buffalo, Alex, I have?
- 6:28Speaker 8: I did?
- 6:29Speaker 9: You?
- 6:29Speaker 6: Mass played in the National Championship for hockey there a
- 6:31Speaker 6: couple of years ago. All my ubers were f two fifties.
- 6:34Speaker 3: It was really funny.
- 6:35Speaker 4: The greyest place on Earth. Yeah, definitely, just gray and
- 6:39Speaker 4: dreary at all times. Remember we like we opened the
- 6:42Speaker 4: season there one year. I think, oh yeah, we were early,
- 6:44Speaker 4: very early in the season. It was sunny like at
- 6:46Speaker 4: the start of the game. Sure enough, it was gray
- 6:48Speaker 4: before you knew it.
- 6:49Speaker 3: We were on the bus coming from the airport to
- 6:52Speaker 3: our hotel on Saturday, and it was your typical gray
- 6:57Speaker 3: Buffalo day. And Gildes's back when Gil Santos was a voice,
- 7:01Speaker 3: and all of a sudden, he's like, it's like Berlin
- 7:03Speaker 3: circa nineteen thirty five, you know, and everyone that's like, I.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Know, I went to Niagara Falls when I was there,
- 7:10Speaker 6: and I was like, I can barely see the waterfall.
- 7:12Speaker 7: Like, why the hell did we come all the way
- 7:14Speaker 7: out here?
- 7:14Speaker 3: You got to go on the Canadian side, I guess
- 7:17Speaker 3: the thing. Yeah, better New York side.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Okay, I didn't know that.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty mid but yeah, pretty mid. Yeah. So I mean, listen,
- 7:28Speaker 3: they know how to eat in Buffalo. There's good restaurants
- 7:30Speaker 3: in Buffalo.
- 7:31Speaker 4: I will say that. Yeah, underrated Saturday night.
- 7:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I had a great time. It was just I
- 7:35Speaker 7: couldn't live there. Not enough vitamin D.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it's it's dreary. It's dreary in many many ways.
- 7:42Speaker 3: So we should be happy, but we don't live there.
- 7:45Speaker 3: And that's why when the Bills are doing well, they
- 7:47Speaker 3: take such pride in it and they go over the
- 7:49Speaker 3: top because they don't have much, right, you know. So
- 7:53Speaker 3: they got their football team right now, and the football
- 7:55Speaker 3: team's playing really well. They're favored by fourteen. Ye they've
- 8:00Speaker 3: got probably some people would say the best quarterback in
- 8:04Speaker 3: the NFL right now, you can make the you could
- 8:07Speaker 3: they definitely make the case. He's my m v P.
- 8:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I would say him and Lamar sort of neck
- 8:12Speaker 4: and neck for for m v P. Well, who would
- 8:14Speaker 4: you who would you take? That's what they asked me
- 8:16Speaker 4: yesterday on my show, Fred Mike and Mike and Tony,
- 8:21Speaker 4: list the quarterbacks in the NFL that you would take
- 8:23Speaker 4: before Josh Allen, before Josh Allen.
- 8:28Speaker 7: Mahomes, like how they're playing right now, or like.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Just think in general, I still think Mahomes, I would say.
- 8:33Speaker 4: I would say Mahomes and that's it.
- 8:35Speaker 3: That was my that was it.
- 8:36Speaker 4: So Patrick Mahomes, that's it.
- 8:37Speaker 6: Josh is kind of closing the gap. He's not quite
- 8:40Speaker 6: a one B, but he's certainly.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Be I just think Mahomes right now. The people around
- 8:44Speaker 3: him marn't that great, and that's what you're seeing. But
- 8:46Speaker 3: Mahomes is still you look at him, it's the.
- 8:48Speaker 4: People around Josh Allen aren't that great either.
- 8:51Speaker 6: Well, he's got some good plays and that's why I
- 8:53Speaker 6: would to be the m VP over Lamar.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I would say that's that's pretty close. Lamar's
- 9:01Speaker 4: season has been ridiculous.
- 9:02Speaker 3: True, Yeah, But and Joe Burrow numbers wise has been.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Joe Burrow numbers wise is through the through the roof.
- 9:10Speaker 4: But he just hasn't translated to enough wins.
- 9:12Speaker 3: No again, is that his fault?
- 9:15Speaker 4: Not always?
- 9:16Speaker 3: No, I mean, what are the average they're averaging?
- 9:19Speaker 4: Oh yeah, they play it.
- 9:20Speaker 3: They score a lot of points, you know, so like
- 9:21Speaker 3: he's doing his job.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Jim Murray took Burrow too, Mahomes Burrow, then Allen.
- 9:27Speaker 3: See I would take I would take Alan over Burrow
- 9:30Speaker 3: because of the mobility and this. You know, I agree,
- 9:33Speaker 3: you know, Burrow.
- 9:34Speaker 6: Is a little bit more fragile, and the record has
- 9:36Speaker 6: the factor into it. I don't think I don't think
- 9:38Speaker 6: he can win m VP.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Burrow with the is not going to win m v P.
- 9:41Speaker 3: We're not talking about MVP.
- 9:45Speaker 7: Oh yeah, it's still I think a big gap for me.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Yeah, to me, it's it's Mahomes Allen.
- 9:51Speaker 6: Yeah, Josh is just too big and too Yeah, he
- 9:55Speaker 6: just looks indestructible out there sometimes.
- 9:57Speaker 3: The only thing about Lamar and Listen, I give all
- 10:00Speaker 3: the credit to Harbaugh and what he did with that
- 10:02Speaker 3: offense when they drafted him, knowing we're going to have
- 10:04Speaker 3: to change our offense to fit this guy. That's what
- 10:07Speaker 3: you're going to have to do. If you have Lamar.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I still don't think he's the type of passer, you know,
- 10:13Speaker 3: that can take you to the promised land. I think
- 10:16Speaker 3: you have to combine it with his legs and with
- 10:19Speaker 3: other parts. You know, their defense is failing them. If
- 10:23Speaker 3: the defense was what it was in the in the past,
- 10:27Speaker 3: putting on Derrick Henry, I think I think would have
- 10:30Speaker 3: made them.
- 10:33Speaker 7: Their season.
- 10:35Speaker 6: The first game of their season, I was watching them,
- 10:36Speaker 6: I was like, oh my god, I love Baltimore.
- 10:38Speaker 7: This is going to be unbelievable form.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Their defense has failed them though. It's yeah, it's it's
- 10:44Speaker 3: they must be the fans must be pulling their hair
- 10:47Speaker 3: out because you know, they've got all these tools now
- 10:49Speaker 3: on offense, and now the defense fails. You know, and
- 10:53Speaker 3: that was never something even you know, even when they
- 10:56Speaker 3: weren't elite defenses, but they were still really good. They
- 11:00Speaker 3: you knew you were going to have a dog fight
- 11:02Speaker 3: when you played the Ravens, but not this year, not
- 11:06Speaker 3: this year. They give up leads. They they they fade
- 11:10Speaker 3: down the stretch.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Imagine they lost other Raiders. Yeah, Like the Raiders have
- 11:14Speaker 4: two wins and one of them is Baltimore.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Yeah. So that's why, that's why I don't put Lamar
- 11:21Speaker 3: over Mahomes in Allen just because of the I think.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Well, he's not as his gifted a passer as those two.
- 11:29Speaker 6: Do you think having Derrick Henry and just the attention
- 11:31Speaker 6: he draws in the running game takes away from Lamar's
- 11:34Speaker 6: case a little bit too or I think.
- 11:37Speaker 4: A little bit not not for me. I think I
- 11:40Speaker 4: think it's it starts with Lamar, But I don't think
- 11:42Speaker 4: he's I think you're right about him. Like if if
- 11:45Speaker 4: they fall behind and they can't run the ball, can
- 11:48Speaker 4: he conventionally you know, run hurry up and throw the
- 11:51Speaker 4: ball every down like Mahomes and Allen can do or
- 11:54Speaker 4: borrow or borrow you know, and those those guys. I'm
- 11:57Speaker 4: not sure that he is really ever consistently done that
- 12:00Speaker 4: he's a good passer. He's not. He's know stiff, He's
- 12:03Speaker 4: got great numbers. So let's've touchdown pass it.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Let's take those four guys, Mahomes, Burrow, Alan and Jackson
- 12:12Speaker 3: take them aside. Who's your next guy, Who's your next
- 12:15Speaker 3: best quarterback after.
- 12:16Speaker 4: The It's kind of off the top of my head,
- 12:18Speaker 4: but I'm going to probably surprise.
- 12:20Speaker 3: You justin Herbert Golf.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Really I like Jared Herbert would be in the top
- 12:27Speaker 4: ten for sure, But I think Jared Goff has really
- 12:30Speaker 4: developed into a sure has excellent quarter.
- 12:32Speaker 3: In terms of consistency and just like dependability, like he
- 12:37Speaker 3: you can depend on him.
- 12:38Speaker 6: Now for sure, you really can, and just the intangibles
- 12:42Speaker 6: of him kind of switching places with Stafford and it
- 12:44Speaker 6: being looked as.
- 12:45Speaker 7: A downgrade, He's totally. Totally.
- 12:48Speaker 3: That's a good one. That narrative, that's a good one.
- 12:52Speaker 3: You know. Stroud I think has taken a little bit
- 12:54Speaker 3: of a step back from what he.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Has not been as good this year as he was
- 12:58Speaker 4: last year. But I would put Stafford, Golf.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Hebert, Herbert, they're kind of like that tier that next
- 13:04Speaker 6: that's the next year for me.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Those three yep, uh, then you're starting like I would,
- 13:12Speaker 4: I would put Stroud in there. I don't like. I
- 13:14Speaker 4: don't think he's had a great year, but I saw
- 13:16Speaker 4: him do it long enough, and I've seen flashes from him,
- 13:18Speaker 4: you know, he was really good against the Patriots this year.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Uh who else? Who else are we looking at? Because
- 13:26Speaker 4: there's been like, you know, some of the older guard
- 13:28Speaker 4: you know, like Kirk Cousins just lost his job, Rogers
- 13:31Speaker 4: has obviously had a miserable year. So some of Oh Tua,
- 13:35Speaker 4: I would I would put in that conversation too, Absolutely
- 13:38Speaker 4: for the second tier down, Absolutely.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Yeah, after that tier.
- 13:42Speaker 7: I don't know if there's anyone i'd take over Drake though, what.
- 13:46Speaker 3: About af what about NFC West Party? Stafford? Well, we
- 13:51Speaker 3: already said Stafford, right.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I said Stafford.
- 13:55Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 13:55Speaker 4: You guys probably don't don't agree with me, but you
- 13:58Speaker 4: know I I you know, Dalen would be in that conversation.
- 14:03Speaker 4: I mean, Daniels has been terrific. Jaden Daniels. I mean,
- 14:06Speaker 4: got to do it a little bit longer than one year,
- 14:08Speaker 4: you know. Yeah, I think actually, I think quarterback is
- 14:13Speaker 4: in a decent place. I'd be curious to see how
- 14:17Speaker 4: Pennix looks this week if we're adding another one and
- 14:20Speaker 4: he's going to have three games to finish the year,
- 14:22Speaker 4: If we add another one to this quarterback class, I
- 14:24Speaker 4: know it could.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Be you know, five, it could be historically good quarterback class.
- 14:30Speaker 3: You know, Drake May leading the way.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Hell yeah, what what you think he's been the best
- 14:38Speaker 4: of those? Oh?
- 14:39Speaker 3: I think he's got the highest potential. Oh okay, yeah,
- 14:44Speaker 3: I think I think he's.
- 14:45Speaker 4: What makes you say that the tools tool set? What
- 14:49Speaker 4: tool do you think he has that Jaden Daniels doesn't?
- 14:52Speaker 10: Uh?
- 14:52Speaker 3: Brains?
- 14:53Speaker 4: Oh, you know you've tied a lot of conversations with Yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 4: John Football like you. Yeah, you don't think that Daniel
- 15:00Speaker 4: has exhibited any of that. No, I'm not saying he's
- 15:02Speaker 4: mad team to nine wins.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Just because Drake is here doesn't mean that Daniels.
- 15:08Speaker 4: But I'm just wondering what you think makes him? Like,
- 15:11Speaker 4: what have you seen that shows you that May has
- 15:13Speaker 4: been smarter than Daniels?
- 15:16Speaker 3: Just uh, from what I hear, from what I'm told, Like,
- 15:20Speaker 3: you know, I'm not in the meeting.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Rooms, but listen, I think you have to be really
- 15:25Speaker 4: pleased with Drake May and the way he's played. But
- 15:27Speaker 4: the bottom line is he's won one game. Yeah, as
- 15:31Speaker 4: you know that he started and finished. Blame him for that, No,
- 15:35Speaker 4: But I mean the guy that you're putting down is
- 15:39Speaker 4: one nine.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Putting him down, I'm just putting May ahead.
- 15:43Speaker 4: You're insinuating that he's had a better year.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Oh, I didn't say that. I said potential.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Is leading the way. I think leading the.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Way in potential, like he's going to be the best.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Now I would put I would put Drake May over
- 15:56Speaker 4: bow Nicks, even though bow Nicks is one games. So
- 15:58Speaker 4: you might call me a hipcrit for that. Bo Nix
- 16:01Speaker 4: has won nine games too, But I don't think that
- 16:04Speaker 4: he's played that well. I think he's managed very well.
- 16:09Speaker 4: I think he's sort of Mac Jones. I'll ask, I
- 16:11Speaker 4: like Jones adjacent as you kids.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Say, I like, you know, I'm happy with him.
- 16:17Speaker 4: I love the Drake too, but I wanted to take
- 16:20Speaker 4: him in the in the draft over Jayden Daniels.
- 16:23Speaker 6: Already about like watching his son play sports and he
- 16:26Speaker 6: talks about Drake.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I like, I I wanted Drake May over Jayden Daniels,
- 16:31Speaker 4: and I stand by that. Yeah, I kind of agree
- 16:33Speaker 4: with Fred. I think his potential is higher, it's greater, yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 4: than Jayden Daniels. But I have to be objective and
- 16:40Speaker 4: say Jayden and Daniels has played exceptionally well for a
- 16:43Speaker 4: team that's that's in the.
- 16:44Speaker 7: Yeah, it would be hard to pick one over the other.
- 16:47Speaker 3: I was a commander, I'd be thrilled. I'd be thrilled.
- 16:50Speaker 3: I'd be saying, we got our guy.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all. But I have I really have very
- 16:56Speaker 4: very few negative things to say about May. I mean,
- 16:58Speaker 4: he's turned the ball over to often, for sure.
- 17:01Speaker 3: But I am not. And I'd be a hypocrit if
- 17:04Speaker 3: I said, oh, that's not good, because at the beginning
- 17:06Speaker 3: of the year, I said, it's okay. I want him
- 17:09Speaker 3: to take chances. I want him to learn his ceiling,
- 17:12Speaker 3: what he can and can't do. And in order to
- 17:15Speaker 3: do that, you have to fail, you have to make mistakes.
- 17:18Speaker 3: And so I am fine with it now. If you are,
- 17:22Speaker 3: what's that I live on the edge. If it happened
- 17:28Speaker 3: continually next year, then now we got a problem. But
- 17:32Speaker 3: this is the year to learn, this is the year
- 17:34Speaker 3: to make those mistakes. That's why I wanted to start in.
- 17:37Speaker 4: Week one, and we were lockstep on that.
- 17:39Speaker 3: We were.
- 17:40Speaker 4: That's why we don't argue that much this year, because
- 17:43Speaker 4: we genuinely agree a lot.
- 17:45Speaker 3: You would think, which is.
- 17:48Speaker 7: What's going on.
- 17:49Speaker 3: We argued more when the team was in the dynasty.
- 17:51Speaker 7: Now, you guys had to manufacture drama.
- 17:53Speaker 4: I guess yes, because.
- 17:56Speaker 7: Everything was all sunshine and.
- 17:59Speaker 3: I thought the team was pretty good. Yeah, you know,
- 18:01Speaker 3: he's the only one the problem. I didn't know there
- 18:04Speaker 3: was a lot to be upset about.
- 18:06Speaker 5: Fred.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Fred could never figure out that Andy and I were
- 18:09Speaker 4: always more concerned about what was going to happen in
- 18:12Speaker 4: crunch time than we were in the regular season. So
- 18:15Speaker 4: when they played sort of mid yep as you would say,
- 18:19Speaker 4: in week eight, we would look at that you got
- 18:23Speaker 4: to get these things cleaned up, because when you're hosting
- 18:25Speaker 4: the AOC Championship game or not, which generally decided whether
- 18:29Speaker 4: you were going to the Super Bowl or not. In
- 18:30Speaker 4: the second part of the dime. These were our arguments, sure,
- 18:34Speaker 4: but that was the crux of our argument. Fred likes
- 18:36Speaker 4: to be cute and say, well, you know, I think
- 18:38Speaker 4: they're pretty good.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I do.
- 18:40Speaker 4: I think they're pretty good. Paul and Andy, they're not convinced,
- 18:46Speaker 4: all right, all right, And then a whole week of
- 18:48Speaker 4: shows are going by.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Eight five five pats five hundred is the ACE ticket hotline. Sorry,
- 18:54Speaker 3: I'm sorry, TPX. Eight five to five pats five hundred
- 18:58Speaker 3: is the TPX hotline. And as we do that Deuce
- 19:02Speaker 3: is back from the locker room. Look who's back from
- 19:06Speaker 3: the locker room?
- 19:07Speaker 11: What was the mood where the player is friendly to that?
- 19:10Speaker 3: None of them look like Devin Henry.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Hey Mike, what was it like in the locker room?
- 19:18Speaker 3: Hay Like? What was it like in the locker room?
- 19:23Speaker 3: Hey Mike? What was it like?
- 19:25Speaker 4: Is it like you got means by Dan?
- 19:32Speaker 3: How does that work? Well?
- 19:33Speaker 8: You know, they often call me the lurker stand in
- 19:36Speaker 8: the background and listening.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Today, I got the recorder with the hand on.
- 19:39Speaker 11: I didn't even have my record.
- 19:41Speaker 5: I was just kind of standing in the back in
- 19:42Speaker 5: the pockets.
- 19:43Speaker 12: My pockets even like this, and she already cooked a
- 19:46Speaker 12: pick of me.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Oh that's not that's not just that's all.
- 19:49Speaker 11: Just chill, guys.
- 19:51Speaker 7: That's the best mem your in is.
- 19:53Speaker 6: I don't know if you have your recorder out or not,
- 19:55Speaker 6: but Pop Douglas is standing behind you, propped up on
- 19:58Speaker 6: someone's locker with a banana, a.
- 20:03Speaker 8: Banana in the head like.
- 20:04Speaker 7: The bananas, his recorder, his mic.
- 20:06Speaker 5: It was really.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Cute that one.
- 20:09Speaker 7: I'll send it to you to.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Have dumb looks on my face, but it's kind of hard.
- 20:13Speaker 7: Yeah, anyway, just own the RBF.
- 20:17Speaker 8: Resting dude face something.
- 20:19Speaker 11: But uh some fun in there today, yucking it up?
- 20:24Speaker 7: Ye laughs in there today?
- 20:26Speaker 4: You there.
- 20:27Speaker 7: I very briefly was in there quick ten minutes.
- 20:30Speaker 4: So elusive check watch out Buffalo upset alert.
- 20:35Speaker 3: There you go.
- 20:37Speaker 12: We're talking about his style and his wife does his styling.
- 20:40Speaker 3: And then he started talking about.
- 20:42Speaker 11: Yes, can you turn your.
- 20:46Speaker 8: Okay, what my microphone?
- 20:50Speaker 3: Does it work? Now? Now I'm hearing an echo?
- 20:53Speaker 4: Yeah, we got the echo back.
- 20:56Speaker 3: We have some problems we got we have audio.
- 20:58Speaker 7: Sounds like a karaoke mic.
- 20:59Speaker 5: Now you hear me?
- 21:00Speaker 11: Now?
- 21:01Speaker 3: Love? H Hello? Hello? Is that better? Can you hear us?
- 21:08Speaker 4: I couldn't hear on Mike's.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Okay, So but Evin, what is gonna do?
- 21:15Speaker 4: We'll fix it at the We'll fix it in post.
- 21:18Speaker 8: That's that sounds right?
- 21:19Speaker 3: Can you hear Can you hear hear me?
- 21:20Speaker 2: Now?
- 21:20Speaker 8: On this one?
- 21:21Speaker 4: Okay?
- 21:21Speaker 8: I want to screw this one. Yeah.
- 21:23Speaker 12: So Kendrick Born was talking a little about his styling
- 21:26Speaker 12: and uh, you know the things that they throw at
- 21:28Speaker 12: you in Buffalo, Paul, which I know you're aware of
- 21:30Speaker 12: a little bit of that little joking, and uh yeah
- 21:33Speaker 12: it was To be honest, I was a little bit surprised,
- 21:36Speaker 12: like the atmosphere, and then Joelanie Tobai came in and
- 21:38Speaker 12: it was like someone had like punched his cat. Like
- 21:40Speaker 12: he was just like really, I don't know where that
- 21:44Speaker 12: came from, but but you know, seeming a little bit
- 21:47Speaker 12: more on brand for for how things are going. But
- 21:48Speaker 12: you know, Kendrick Keith, he's just full of personality in
- 21:51Speaker 12: life and uh having a good time and uh yeah,
- 21:54Speaker 12: we had Christian Gonzalez in there as well, just general stuff.
- 21:57Speaker 12: I mean, I think a lot of the questions are
- 21:58Speaker 12: just you know, what do you go to do this week?
- 22:00Speaker 12: And everybody's aware of how good the bills are, but
- 22:03Speaker 12: you know, things bother me though, guys, is that everyone
- 22:05Speaker 12: keeps talking about this being like look got bumped to primetime,
- 22:07Speaker 12: It got bumped to like like this is is this
- 22:08Speaker 12: a prompts the four twenty five slot not prime time?
- 22:12Speaker 3: No, because people keep making it sound like it's been
- 22:15Speaker 3: the only time, the only time four to twenty five
- 22:17Speaker 3: can even be considered prime. One network has like their
- 22:23Speaker 3: feature game, which is a game that goes beyond the region. Yeah,
- 22:27Speaker 3: you know, so like right now we're at four to
- 22:29Speaker 3: twenty five, but the only place you're going to be
- 22:31Speaker 3: able to watch us probably is New York and New England.
- 22:34Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, but.
- 22:36Speaker 3: There is a game at four to twenty five, and
- 22:37Speaker 3: I don't know which one it is that will go
- 22:39Speaker 3: beyond the regions of the team's playing.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Okay, I agree with you, Freddy, And but it's also
- 22:44Speaker 4: Primetime is at night, not to day.
- 22:47Speaker 3: But there's a featured game. There's a national game at
- 22:51Speaker 3: four twenty five.
- 22:52Speaker 4: You know, yeah, I know, I know what you're talking about.
- 22:54Speaker 4: I think Fox called it the game of the week.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Game of their game of the week, right, Yeah.
- 22:58Speaker 12: Last thing I'll say from the locker room was a
- 23:00Speaker 12: Pop Douglas seeing Felice navidad for Martin Martine. Uh. That
- 23:05Speaker 12: was that was that was something that was something Pop Douglas.
- 23:10Speaker 3: They do anything. Martin is our Spanish correspondent, you know,
- 23:14Speaker 3: he does all the everybody love whatever he asked the
- 23:18Speaker 3: players to do, they do what.
- 23:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 6: When Edelman came back to shoot the schedule release video,
- 23:23Speaker 6: he saw where Martin sits.
- 23:25Speaker 7: But Martin wasn't in that day.
- 23:26Speaker 6: Julian was like devastated that Martin wasn't there to say Hi.
- 23:29Speaker 6: I wrote him a note at his desk and everything.
- 23:31Speaker 7: Yeah, it was actually adorable. And then in pre season
- 23:33Speaker 7: two Edelman was visiting. I watched him give Martin a
- 23:36Speaker 7: huge hug and like pick him up. Martin's like a
- 23:38Speaker 7: small guy. He's probably like just like the most adorable
- 23:42Speaker 7: little like. It was just so hilarious.
- 23:47Speaker 12: Everybody's whatever, really, well, pop jump right into police.
- 23:52Speaker 4: He's been around, Martin's been around for a long time. Yeah,
- 23:55Speaker 4: he was at He's got something that you don't have, Mike,
- 23:57Speaker 4: he was at Super bowls US.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Yeah, before he was a full time employee, he was
- 24:04Speaker 3: a freelance photographer for US in the Revolution. Yeah, so
- 24:08Speaker 3: he's been around the facility for a long time.
- 24:12Speaker 8: Yeah, good job, Markin.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yeah, so that'll be out on yeah at some point
- 24:17Speaker 3: from Yeah, a lot.
- 24:21Speaker 12: Of energy though, now that all the wide receivers are
- 24:22Speaker 12: all grouped together, it's just one big yuckfest over there
- 24:25Speaker 12: with all those guys. So yeah, we'll see if they're
- 24:27Speaker 12: able to get locked in this week.
- 24:29Speaker 8: Though.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it's.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I don't like that.
- 24:33Speaker 3: You know, if I don't like that, well, listen, we
- 24:36Speaker 3: know what we have up against stuff this week. It's
- 24:38Speaker 3: it's not going to be easy that the bills aren't
- 24:41Speaker 3: certainly going to be taking their foot off the gas. Uh.
- 24:44Speaker 3: They need to win. It's at their place, hostile environment.
- 24:51Speaker 3: But I just can't. I keep saying this every week.
- 24:55Speaker 3: I expect them to I expect the Patriots to respond,
- 25:00Speaker 3: but I don't know like I thought they would last week.
- 25:03Speaker 3: I thought last week, you know, they'd come off that
- 25:06Speaker 3: buy and be ready to go, and it just was
- 25:09Speaker 3: the opposite. So I don't know what to expect now.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I really don't.
- 25:12Speaker 8: I think you'll look pretty quick.
- 25:13Speaker 12: I feel like if you go out there and the
- 25:15Speaker 12: game will declare, I will declare itself quick if if
- 25:17Speaker 12: they're gonna, you know, put up a fight, I would say,
- 25:20Speaker 12: and you know, if they don't, I think Buffalo will
- 25:22Speaker 12: go out there, And was.
- 25:23Speaker 3: It the last time we were there? Like right away
- 25:26Speaker 3: it was fourteen nothing before you returned.
- 25:30Speaker 4: The opening kicked oh for us that one.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I guess it was a game before that, like we
- 25:36Speaker 3: fell behind fourteen nothing or something like that, like before
- 25:39Speaker 3: you even had a chance to be a lot of
- 25:41Speaker 3: those friends.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, they blend some of them.
- 25:43Speaker 12: But I just wonder if Buffalo is looking more for
- 25:46Speaker 12: let's just kind of cruise and get in and win
- 25:49Speaker 12: this game and get out, And you know.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Just I kind of think that I wouldn't be surprised
- 25:53Speaker 4: if it's relatively competitor for a little while. Because of that,
- 25:58Speaker 4: I just can't imagine that you can't keep the foot,
- 26:02Speaker 4: you know, on the gas pedal every single week. They
- 26:05Speaker 4: finished the season Buffalo Patriots, Jets, Patriots, So good for them.
- 26:10Speaker 4: So they're thinking, all right, we got through that gauntletter,
- 26:13Speaker 4: San Francisco, Rams, Detroit, now we get Patriots, Jets, Patriots.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Isn't it just like human nature to kind of let down.
- 26:23Speaker 3: A little bit, I would imagine, and I hope so,
- 26:25Speaker 3: I just.
- 26:26Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know if it'll let down to
- 26:27Speaker 4: the point where the Patriots can actually pull off the
- 26:29Speaker 4: upside and win, But I wouldn't be surprised if it's
- 26:32Speaker 4: reasonably competitive.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Okay, what does it need to what needs to happen
- 26:37Speaker 3: besides the Bills taking their foot off the gas a
- 26:40Speaker 3: little bit? What do the Patriots need to do in
- 26:42Speaker 3: this game to keep it competitive?
- 26:45Speaker 12: Probably run the ball, I would say, keep Josh Allen
- 26:47Speaker 12: and they control it the ball a little bit, you know,
- 26:50Speaker 12: give some taking the offense off the field, make it manageable.
- 26:54Speaker 12: Third downs for them finishing the red zone, of course,
- 26:57Speaker 12: but I think if they're able to get the run
- 26:59Speaker 12: game going a little bit and control the pace of
- 27:01Speaker 12: the game if Buffalo comes out.
- 27:03Speaker 3: How does the Bills run defense this year? It's shaky
- 27:05Speaker 3: shaky in there. Yeah.
- 27:06Speaker 4: They don't give up a lot of yards back though, right.
- 27:09Speaker 8: Yeah, I think their front's pretty good.
- 27:11Speaker 4: But they don't give up a lot of yards. But
- 27:13Speaker 4: their average per carry allowed as high, which tells you
- 27:15Speaker 4: that teams can run on them, but then they can't
- 27:18Speaker 4: continue to run because they fall behind.
- 27:20Speaker 3: It also could tell you, and I don't know that
- 27:22Speaker 3: they're giving a big running plays, you know, and that
- 27:25Speaker 3: skew the average.
- 27:26Speaker 4: That would be a lot of yards.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Yeah, but that skews the average. Oh oh well not necessarily.
- 27:31Speaker 4: So they're like middle of the packing yards allowed, but
- 27:34Speaker 4: like in the mid twenties average per carry, it just
- 27:37Speaker 4: tells me that the other team can't continue to run
- 27:39Speaker 4: the ball.
- 27:40Speaker 3: How do you think it because they fall behind?
- 27:42Speaker 12: Right, Well, that's what do you think the Bill's scoring?
- 27:44Speaker 12: I think their first in the league. Like, how does
- 27:46Speaker 12: that affect your defensive statistics?
- 27:48Speaker 8: You know? Is it hard to be like were the
- 27:49Speaker 8: ocean Patriots.
- 27:50Speaker 4: It helps your run defense, but it hurts your pass defense,
- 27:53Speaker 4: right because you're going to give up passing yards. Like
- 27:55Speaker 4: last week's game against Detroit, they had that game won
- 27:58Speaker 4: the whole second half. They had a seventeen point lead. Yeah,
- 28:00Speaker 4: but you know, Detroit's a good offense. They kept throwing
- 28:03Speaker 4: the ball, they kept scoring. Before you know it, Gof's
- 28:06Speaker 4: throwing five touchdown passes. You make your stats look terrible,
- 28:09Speaker 4: but it was a game they really had won throughout
- 28:11Speaker 4: the fourth court.
- 28:12Speaker 3: So that's the thing about stats is, again we talk
- 28:14Speaker 3: about it all the time. You need the context.
- 28:16Speaker 4: There's lies, damn lies and statistics.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Right, you know, so like if you're falling behind all
- 28:21Speaker 3: the time, and you.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Know, uh, that's what DVOA does a better job of that. Okay,
- 28:27Speaker 4: don't don't ask me why how, but they take game
- 28:31Speaker 4: conditioned situations into a kind of skills.
- 28:34Speaker 3: So you need to do that, especially in football. You know,
- 28:37Speaker 3: you have those situations that you know, end of game.
- 28:41Speaker 4: It's kind of like my twenty twenty three defense with
- 28:44Speaker 4: and without project back up quarterbacks project that I may
- 28:47Speaker 4: or made.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Garbage toward stats. Things like that, having to throw the
- 28:51Speaker 3: ball because you're falling behind, uh, you know, and then
- 28:56Speaker 3: the defense stats on the other side, it affects those.
- 29:00Speaker 3: So you need the context in football when you're talking
- 29:03Speaker 3: about statistics.
- 29:04Speaker 12: So much nuance in it, and I think, you know,
- 29:05Speaker 12: some people just like to throw the one stat of
- 29:07Speaker 12: well they're third defense.
- 29:08Speaker 3: You know.
- 29:08Speaker 12: It's just it's also connected, and that's it's it's it's
- 29:11Speaker 12: part of what I like about covering football is that
- 29:13Speaker 12: there's a lot of ways to tell the story rather
- 29:15Speaker 12: than you know, just a simple stat and this is
- 29:18Speaker 12: is what it is. Certainly, I think the stats point
- 29:20Speaker 12: you in the direction of where it is, but there's
- 29:22Speaker 12: a lot of you know, nuanced buried.
- 29:23Speaker 6: You can also take numbers and argue cases either way,
- 29:26Speaker 6: you know, and that's all you have.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I love when people give you a number for something.
- 29:32Speaker 4: And Fred and I we both do this a lot,
- 29:34Speaker 4: Like what does that mean? How good is that? Where
- 29:37Speaker 4: does that? You know? Like numbers against the blitz We've
- 29:39Speaker 4: talked about many times, you know, like where does everybody
- 29:42Speaker 4: else fall in that category? Or you know, like is
- 29:45Speaker 4: that a lot? Is that a lot of times to
- 29:47Speaker 4: blit you something? Well, they blitzed them eleven times, right,
- 29:50Speaker 4: I don't know, yeah, that is that a lot little
- 29:53Speaker 4: I don't know, what are.
- 29:54Speaker 3: The comparables, you know, yeah, I saw one. You know,
- 29:57Speaker 3: this is off the subject of thetisticks, but somebody had
- 30:01Speaker 3: a list of you know, spending. The Patriots were at
- 30:03Speaker 3: the bottom. Well they but they were only ten million
- 30:06Speaker 3: from the top of this list, which in the NFL,
- 30:09Speaker 3: that's not that much money, you know, So it was
- 30:12Speaker 3: just incremental.
- 30:14Speaker 4: It's just in ten million, not a lot of money
- 30:16Speaker 4: to Fred.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Well when you're talking about two hundred and forty million,
- 30:20Speaker 3: you know.
- 30:21Speaker 8: Like the light numbers.
- 30:21Speaker 12: They talk about Bill Belichick's biot and everyone asked like, well,
- 30:24Speaker 12: it's just ten million.
- 30:24Speaker 8: If he wants to get out, no problem. I was
- 30:25Speaker 8: kind of like, that.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Seems kind of like a lot of money to me.
- 30:27Speaker 12: I know, I don't you know, make a million dollars
- 30:29Speaker 12: a year, but ten millions still actually sounds a little bit.
- 30:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 3: All right, eight five to five pass five hundred is
- 30:35Speaker 3: the TPX hotline. Let's go what happened all of a sudden?
- 30:41Speaker 3: I just oh your back now, I'm back. All right,
- 30:44Speaker 3: Let's go to the phones. We'll go to Sam in Connecticut.
- 30:48Speaker 3: What's up Sam?
- 30:49Speaker 13: Sam?
- 30:51Speaker 14: Hey, guys, I called yesterday. I had a question about
- 30:56Speaker 14: the draft, or I guess to the counter argument we're
- 30:59Speaker 14: out thinking we should go for a tackle. One thing
- 31:03Speaker 14: I kind of realized that I forgot to add into
- 31:05Speaker 14: that is the option to train back if if we
- 31:09Speaker 14: don't see a tackle or an offensive lineman that we think,
- 31:12Speaker 14: you know, where's our first round pick? And kind of
- 31:15Speaker 14: with that, I wanted to ask you guys, how likely
- 31:17Speaker 14: do you think it is that another team would be
- 31:21Speaker 14: willing to trade up because I've I've kind of heard
- 31:24Speaker 14: that this draft doesn't have you know, a ton of
- 31:27Speaker 14: that clear you know, first round, top of the first
- 31:29Speaker 14: round talent like quarterbacks. But again, you know, I'm not
- 31:33Speaker 14: an expert, so I wanted to see, you know, your
- 31:36Speaker 14: thoughts on that. And then along with that, has our
- 31:40Speaker 14: defensive performance this year changed how you guys view this
- 31:45Speaker 14: upcoming draft or maybe the strategy, because I feel like
- 31:49Speaker 14: before it was you know, maybe you know, offensive line, receiver.
- 31:55Speaker 14: You know, we're by far the biggest priorities, which they
- 31:57Speaker 14: still might be, but obviously defense seats some work as well.
- 32:02Speaker 14: And then just one more question, Uh, last year, prior years,
- 32:08Speaker 14: New England hasn't been a really desirable location for free agents. Uh,
- 32:13Speaker 14: I just wanted to know if you guys thought that
- 32:15Speaker 14: changed with Drake May's performance this year. Do you guys
- 32:18Speaker 14: think he's done enough, uh, you know to make make
- 32:22Speaker 14: New England you know, desirable for you know, big name receivers,
- 32:25Speaker 14: you know, like Ridley Hopkins or you know any of
- 32:28Speaker 14: those other guys. I'll get off now and that you guys.
- 32:31Speaker 3: An't I had a I had to hang up because
- 32:36Speaker 3: a microphone I'm playing well with when we have callers,
- 32:39Speaker 3: there's something there's some echo and interference going on. Uh,
- 32:43Speaker 3: I'm exactly sure. Sounded like he was ylophone or a
- 32:48Speaker 3: toy piano or something like that.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Anyway, so he has there's a lot to chew on.
- 32:52Speaker 4: There is the first thing he was talking about with,
- 32:55Speaker 4: you know, the whole offensive line thing. And we all
- 32:57Speaker 4: agree offensive line is a major, major need. But we also,
- 33:01Speaker 4: I think all agree that they need a lot of stuff.
- 33:05Speaker 4: So they need to take the best player whoever they
- 33:07Speaker 4: think is the best player, regardless of position. Now, I
- 33:10Speaker 4: think most teams draft for need. I think you should
- 33:12Speaker 4: draft for need. But the Patriots advantage here is they
- 33:17Speaker 4: can draft anything and it's in need.
- 33:20Speaker 15: What are you doing over that nothing?
- 33:21Speaker 4: What do you guys? Have you a little thing going on?
- 33:25Speaker 7: I was laughing at what you said. Is that that
- 33:26Speaker 7: they have an advantage that they need so much?
- 33:29Speaker 3: Then?
- 33:29Speaker 4: No, it is because like you know, Evan brings up
- 33:32Speaker 4: Cole Strange all the time, like, and that's what happens
- 33:34Speaker 4: when you pick for need. No, that's what happens when
- 33:36Speaker 4: you reach for a player. Like if Cole Strange was
- 33:40Speaker 4: was an All Pro, you might say, I wouldn't I
- 33:42Speaker 4: wish they didn't take a guard. But you can't argue
- 33:45Speaker 4: it was a good player and he starts for you.
- 33:46Speaker 4: If it was Joe Toney knowing would argue right, you
- 33:49Speaker 4: know I would, But you know I'm a little augumentative.
- 33:52Speaker 3: What do you know? Listen, if you if you pick
- 33:54Speaker 3: a guy in the draft in the first round who's
- 33:56Speaker 3: on your team for ten to twelve years, it's a
- 33:57Speaker 3: good pick. And as a Pro Bowl player, you know
- 34:00Speaker 3: that's a good pick. You know.
- 34:02Speaker 4: So I think that's where you have to sort of
- 34:04Speaker 4: weigh it is the receiver or an edge guy like
- 34:08Speaker 4: Mike talked about Abdul Carter, who everybody loves. Is he
- 34:12Speaker 4: better than Will Campbell or Kelvin Banks, and if he is,
- 34:16Speaker 4: you got to take McMillan or Hunter or Carter.
- 34:20Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 34:21Speaker 12: I just I think people need to not sleep on
- 34:23Speaker 12: free agency this year. I mean, I think that's that's
- 34:25Speaker 12: a huge part of this all season and we'll see
- 34:27Speaker 12: when you get to the draft. But like you said,
- 34:28Speaker 12: I mean, you got to strike where it's hot in
- 34:31Speaker 12: the free agency class and that will affect how you
- 34:34Speaker 12: view the draft and what kind of draft picks you are.
- 34:36Speaker 12: But I think the bottom line is is that receiver
- 34:39Speaker 12: and tackle, no matter what you do in free agency,
- 34:42Speaker 12: you're probably gonna need another pretty good one in this day.
- 34:44Speaker 5: I agree.
- 34:45Speaker 4: So that gets to the second parts of those questions
- 34:48Speaker 4: that the trade up I agree with him was that Sam. Yeah, Sam,
- 34:54Speaker 4: I agree with Sam. I don't think this is going
- 34:56Speaker 4: to be one of those years that someone's going to
- 34:59Speaker 4: give you a ransom for, you know, to move on now, don't.
- 35:02Speaker 4: I don't see that guy that is so attractive now.
- 35:05Speaker 5: The only.
- 35:07Speaker 4: Possible exception to that is if some one of these
- 35:10Speaker 4: teams just completely falls in love with shudor Sanders or
- 35:13Speaker 4: camp Ward right and they just see something in him
- 35:15Speaker 4: that most other people right now aren't seeing. They might
- 35:18Speaker 4: look at it being more valuable. We got to get
- 35:20Speaker 4: up and get him because that's the guy we love.
- 35:21Speaker 4: And yep, you know, some coach might look at those
- 35:23Speaker 4: guys and say that he's perfect from my system.
- 35:25Speaker 8: You know, could you see that with Travis Hunter?
- 35:28Speaker 4: I couldn't, to be honest with you, but what do
- 35:31Speaker 4: I know?
- 35:32Speaker 3: What do I know? And then the final part of
- 35:34Speaker 3: being a destination for free agency. Listen, it's gonna come
- 35:37Speaker 3: down to money. The Patriots might have to have that
- 35:39Speaker 3: suck tax where they have to pay a little extra
- 35:41Speaker 3: than another team that is playoff you know, ready playoff contender.
- 35:46Speaker 3: But I do think that Drake may shown enough where
- 35:48Speaker 3: if you're a receiver, like, yeah, this guy can get
- 35:51Speaker 3: me the ball.
- 35:52Speaker 4: I think it's put the Patriots. It's removed the Patriots
- 35:55Speaker 4: from the no go list.
- 35:57Speaker 15: Right.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Well, they can throw the ball, so I can. I
- 35:59Speaker 4: can now now I can listen to their offers too,
- 36:02Speaker 4: right Like I think Brandon Ayuk had no interest in
- 36:04Speaker 4: listening to the Patriots.
- 36:05Speaker 3: No, I don't think I know that as a fact.
- 36:07Speaker 4: I don't think that would be the case now because
- 36:10Speaker 4: they have a guy who can throw them back.
- 36:11Speaker 12: I think it's a good comparing contrast with Mac because
- 36:14Speaker 12: you know, after his rookie year, I think Mac had
- 36:16Speaker 12: some positive buzz around him, but nothing like we've seen
- 36:19Speaker 12: with Drake, where Drake's really getting like national praise about
- 36:22Speaker 12: just how good he is, especially going up against those
- 36:25Speaker 12: other rookie quarterbacks. So there is something really to compare
- 36:28Speaker 12: him against. And you know, even though there were some
- 36:30Speaker 12: positive feelings about Mac, I don't think we ever felt
- 36:33Speaker 12: like he's attractive as a player. But I think as
- 36:36Speaker 12: they as Drake has been built up, I do think
- 36:38Speaker 12: that people will pay attention. It's certainly going to help
- 36:41Speaker 12: a little bit for sure.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Let's go to we'll try this. Ryan is an Idaho.
- 36:48Speaker 3: What's up? Ryan? Ryan? Can't hear Ryan? Okay? I don't
- 36:57Speaker 3: know if it's Ryan or technical, but you can try back.
- 37:02Speaker 3: We'll try one more and then we'll go to emails,
- 37:03Speaker 3: which we have a ton of Riley's in Phoenix.
- 37:06Speaker 13: Hey Riley, Hey guys, how are we doing today? And Alex?
- 37:12Speaker 13: So two quick things. One a little bit of drafttops here,
- 37:20Speaker 13: probably a little more student for Evans.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Okay, So then why don't we wait for catch twenty two? Then? Oh,
- 37:26Speaker 3: I'm only kidding make it quick. We don't want to
- 37:29Speaker 3: talk draft. We want to talk for this year.
- 37:31Speaker 4: But anyway, go ahead, now you could say it football.
- 37:33Speaker 13: Yeah, that's fine.
- 37:35Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 37:35Speaker 13: So my other points thing is with Gid Mail's best
- 37:40Speaker 13: conference after the game and how a lot of fans
- 37:45Speaker 13: are now calling every Monday walk back Monday with Gid
- 37:51Speaker 13: because the teams to put his foot in his mouth
- 37:53Speaker 13: and try and walk back the things he said after
- 37:57Speaker 13: the postgame conference. And and I just wanted to get
- 38:01Speaker 13: your guys' thoughts on that. Do you think it's solely
- 38:03Speaker 13: just a lack of experience with the press or do
- 38:09Speaker 13: you think that it's more so contributing.
- 38:14Speaker 10: To possibly the fact that Straw maybe doesn't have as
- 38:18Speaker 10: much power as we may think he does with like
- 38:21Speaker 10: offensive play following and things like that, especially with his
- 38:25Speaker 10: comment with.
- 38:26Speaker 13: AVP and running Drake right like that just doesn't seem
- 38:30Speaker 13: like they're on the same page a lot of the
- 38:33Speaker 13: times throughout the season.
- 38:34Speaker 3: So yep, that's it, thanks Riley. I I mean I
- 38:38Speaker 3: look at those as two separate things. The second part
- 38:40Speaker 3: could be true, maybe not, But the first part is
- 38:43Speaker 3: to me all about experience. He needs to get better
- 38:46Speaker 3: at this. He's not good at it right now, he's
- 38:49Speaker 3: not good at you know, the internal governor that he
- 38:54Speaker 3: needs to have about just answer the question. You don't
- 38:56Speaker 3: need to offer anything more than that. And then there's
- 38:58Speaker 3: sometimes where just don't go there and understand like everything
- 39:04Speaker 3: you say is going to be analyzed and dissected. And
- 39:08Speaker 3: I'm not saying that you have to be like Bill,
- 39:11Speaker 3: but there's a happy medium there. And in somewhere like
- 39:14Speaker 3: thirty two head coaches are doing press conferences every day
- 39:19Speaker 3: almost and they don't all get into the the hot
- 39:24Speaker 3: water that Girod has been getting in this year, and
- 39:27Speaker 3: they're not all like Bill where they don't offer anything.
- 39:31Speaker 3: There's a way to do it that still with a
- 39:34Speaker 3: smile on your face, still being nice to everyone, where
- 39:37Speaker 3: you just don't have to give out all that information
- 39:40Speaker 3: and even say everything that's on your mind.
- 39:42Speaker 6: I haven't made a point off air this morning that
- 39:43Speaker 6: I agree with that there's so much wrong with the
- 39:46Speaker 6: actual football stuff. So it kind of feels like the
- 39:49Speaker 6: low hanging fruit to be continuously criticizing Drawd semantics and
- 39:54Speaker 6: like a press conference, there's bigger issues that they have
- 39:58Speaker 6: than what he's saying to the media. And he just
- 40:01Speaker 6: was kind of calling it like a little bit lazy
- 40:04Speaker 6: for that to be like the biggest and loudest criticism
- 40:07Speaker 6: there kind of is on the team right now. It
- 40:08Speaker 6: seems like that's what's making the most noises.
- 40:10Speaker 3: I get it, and you know you can. But that's
- 40:13Speaker 3: the media's job, for sure, is to write about what
- 40:16Speaker 3: people are going to read about.
- 40:17Speaker 4: And I would strongly disagree with that too, because I
- 40:20Speaker 4: think that a lot of people that are criticizing the
- 40:24Speaker 4: press conference stuff are criticizing it because it's an illustration
- 40:28Speaker 4: of a lot, like the second part of that call, yep,
- 40:31Speaker 4: that not everybody's on the same page. Like when he
- 40:34Speaker 4: says what he said after the game about the play
- 40:37Speaker 4: calling on the run, he seemed to indicate that he
- 40:40Speaker 4: wanted to run Drake may Well, if you wanted to
- 40:43Speaker 4: do that, you should have done it. And that's why
- 40:45Speaker 4: I think there's been so much emphasis on the press
- 40:48Speaker 4: conference because it seems like the messaging changes. You know, again,
- 40:52Speaker 4: that's kind of extrapolating a little bit, but to your point,
- 40:56Speaker 4: like that's the drama, that sort.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Of that's the drama drives the meat and people want
- 41:01Speaker 3: the storylines. Now, you know, I'm not I'm not going
- 41:03Speaker 3: to say the media is totally not at fault. So
- 41:05Speaker 3: we go back, go back, go back to that press conference.
- 41:08Speaker 3: He says, you said it, I didn't. Someone followed up
- 41:11Speaker 3: and and Girodd said, you know, that's those are my decisions. Okay,
- 41:14Speaker 3: So now let's keep talking about that. So why didn't
- 41:18Speaker 3: you decide to run Drake may Like, that's the next
- 41:22Speaker 3: logical question, and no one asked it, so, you know,
- 41:29Speaker 3: so they're left surmising and and guessing when you could
- 41:34Speaker 3: have said, okay, so, why didn't you tell Alex van
- 41:36Speaker 3: Pelt to run some more running plays in the red
- 41:40Speaker 3: zone or wherever with with Drake may No one asked
- 41:42Speaker 3: the question after after Mayo said it's my decision.
- 41:48Speaker 12: Was Uh, when Bill got here in two thousand, was
- 41:51Speaker 12: he instantly the way he kind of was? I mean,
- 41:53Speaker 12: I always took that this was one of the lessons
- 41:54Speaker 12: he learned from Cleveland, was oh yeah, not to step
- 41:57Speaker 12: in it. But what was that process like for you
- 41:59Speaker 12: guys watching him evolve? And I mean I think it
- 42:01Speaker 12: probably took a hard turn around two thousand and seven maybe,
- 42:04Speaker 12: But what was he already kind of in that mode
- 42:06Speaker 12: when he got here into and he was.
- 42:08Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, he was not as bad as it was
- 42:10Speaker 4: at the end, but yeah, was.
- 42:13Speaker 12: Was it jarring going from Pete though where well all
- 42:15Speaker 12: of a sudden saying.
- 42:16Speaker 3: But here's the thing, at least for me, I went
- 42:19Speaker 3: from Parcels to Pete to Bill. So Parcells was Bill,
- 42:22Speaker 3: but with more you know, he made it like when
- 42:27Speaker 3: we had the newspaper Foxwoods back in the day when
- 42:30Speaker 3: we could have casino ads. Fox would pay for a
- 42:34Speaker 3: double truck which was you know, their full page ad
- 42:37Speaker 3: and the transcription of Bill Parcells. They paid just to
- 42:41Speaker 3: have the transcription of the Bill Parcells Prescott. It was
- 42:44Speaker 3: that entertaining because he would quip and he would say
- 42:47Speaker 3: things and some of them were you know, jabs that
- 42:50Speaker 3: should be jab But it was entertaining. But he wouldn't
- 42:53Speaker 3: give you any information, you know.
- 42:56Speaker 8: Just did it more cleverly, just did it in.
- 42:57Speaker 3: A different way.
- 42:58Speaker 4: And Pete was tough. Now Pete was Pete was the
- 43:01Speaker 4: worst out of like my opinion of the three, because
- 43:03Speaker 4: he just rambled and he would no point.
- 43:07Speaker 3: And where actually Gerard's better than Pete.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Wass way better than Pete.
- 43:12Speaker 3: More even keel Pete when they were winning, he'd be
- 43:15Speaker 3: you know, late.
- 43:16Speaker 4: In the evening, it's like James and he'd be.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Over the top and then you start losing games.
- 43:21Speaker 4: And that was that's what he did.
- 43:23Speaker 3: And then the media would start attacking him, and you know,
- 43:25Speaker 3: he would get all flustered to the point where I thought,
- 43:30Speaker 3: you know, at least a couple of media members started
- 43:31Speaker 3: bullying him in press conferences for sure. Yeah, you know.
- 43:38Speaker 3: And and so that was the vulnerability that Pete created
- 43:42Speaker 3: by being high and low, where Gerard I think does
- 43:45Speaker 3: a good job at least, you know, for now of
- 43:47Speaker 3: being pretty even key.
- 43:49Speaker 4: But it's funny that you brought up Belichick and what
- 43:51Speaker 4: he was like at the beginning, because I that was
- 43:53Speaker 4: kind of jarring. When the documentary came out, there was
- 43:55Speaker 4: a couple of clips of the whole Brady you know,
- 43:59Speaker 4: quarterback for the Yeah, there was. It was much more
- 44:04Speaker 4: sort of lighthearted with the media than I remember.
- 44:06Speaker 8: Going to pull the coaches, we're gonna pull like that
- 44:08Speaker 8: kind of stuff.
- 44:08Speaker 4: You know, like he you know, I think Nikofaro was
- 44:11Speaker 4: like joking around with them at one point, saying, you know,
- 44:13Speaker 4: you reserve the right to change your mind or something
- 44:15Speaker 4: like that, and he laughed and took it for what
- 44:16Speaker 4: it was. You know, like I think if someone did
- 44:19Speaker 4: that now, it would have been like, you know, one
- 44:24Speaker 4: of those, but he was. But Fred's right, he was
- 44:28Speaker 4: very much close to the vest right from the start,
- 44:31Speaker 4: you know.
- 44:31Speaker 3: And he uh, you know, his last head coaching stop
- 44:35Speaker 3: was Cleveland, and he was roundly criticized there because he
- 44:39Speaker 3: really started getting cantankerous with that media crew. It was
- 44:43Speaker 3: a bad situation behind the scenes. So that was probably
- 44:46Speaker 3: a reflection of that and he was told, I'm sure
- 44:50Speaker 3: by many people, you gotta be a little bit more
- 44:53Speaker 3: accommodating with and not be so harsh with the media.
- 44:58Speaker 3: So I think he learned a little bit from his
- 45:02Speaker 3: time at Cleveland, but eventually, like you start winning and
- 45:05Speaker 3: now you can do whatever you want, you know, I.
- 45:07Speaker 12: Do think, I mean, I think Girod Stunner a good
- 45:09Speaker 12: job trying to be his own guy. I just wonder
- 45:11Speaker 12: with the press conference stuff, if this was one area
- 45:13Speaker 12: where he saw how contentious it was between the media
- 45:16Speaker 12: and Bill and if that was one area he said,
- 45:18Speaker 12: that's one thing I'm really going to try to, you know,
- 45:20Speaker 12: do different. And he's such a personable guy anyway that
- 45:23Speaker 12: it's got to be hard to establish that governor of
- 45:26Speaker 12: what I'm saying and how it's going to be taken.
- 45:28Speaker 12: And you know again, I mean I would say I'm
- 45:30Speaker 12: still a little surprised that he's you know, lost in
- 45:32Speaker 12: trouble with it.
- 45:33Speaker 3: You know, as great as Bill was and now I'm
- 45:37Speaker 3: not even talking about the press conferences, and as great
- 45:40Speaker 3: as players appreciated playing for Bill and how much they learned,
- 45:45Speaker 3: there were still complaints within the locker room every year
- 45:48Speaker 3: of God doesn't communicate, he doesn't treat you like a man.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Sometimes he doesn't, you know, And that was persistent, like
- 45:55Speaker 3: that happened. So I'm sure when in Gerard was part
- 45:58Speaker 3: of that. He was a player, he heard it, and
- 46:00Speaker 3: you know, so I'm sure that he was like, I'm
- 46:03Speaker 3: not going to be like that breaking down. I am
- 46:04Speaker 3: going to communicate with my players. I am going to
- 46:07Speaker 3: have an open door policy.
- 46:08Speaker 10: You know.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Those are the things that he didn't like about when
- 46:14Speaker 3: he played here, that he wanted not to be.
- 46:16Speaker 12: That right, and he probably saw it affected the team negatively.
- 46:18Speaker 12: It was one of the things of you know, one
- 46:20Speaker 12: element that he had observed that you know, I think
- 46:22Speaker 12: everybody's said similar things about that, where it's just that
- 46:25Speaker 12: there were times where you know, he wasn't communicating enough.
- 46:28Speaker 3: So you know, and I'm sure that you know the
- 46:30Speaker 3: illuminati was thinking, right now, oh great, you know you'd
- 46:33Speaker 3: be missed a nice guy. But what does it do
- 46:34Speaker 3: for you on right?
- 46:35Speaker 4: Well, and that's the part of the the Evan you
- 46:38Speaker 4: know point about the press conferences that I agree with
- 46:40Speaker 4: Evan on, Like, if they were eleven and three and
- 46:44Speaker 4: he was exactly the same, saying everything exactly the same,
- 46:48Speaker 4: people wouldn't be upset.
- 46:49Speaker 3: They wouldn't. Of course they would.
- 46:51Speaker 4: Because they would be proving that there aren't issues with
- 46:53Speaker 4: the messaging right because they're winning, getting the message. Everybody's
- 46:57Speaker 4: on the same page, because obviously they're eleven and three, right.
- 47:00Speaker 4: I think that people are worried about it because of
- 47:02Speaker 4: the record.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Well, it's winning, you know. Obviously if they were eleven
- 47:07Speaker 3: and three, Drake may probably would be running the ball
- 47:09Speaker 3: board with design.
- 47:11Speaker 4: Places a whole different thing. I'm just saying, you know, like,
- 47:13Speaker 4: if they were winning, I think that people wouldn't be
- 47:15Speaker 4: concerned that what Mayo is saying isn't getting through to
- 47:18Speaker 4: the players, getting to the coaches. It wouldn't be on
- 47:21Speaker 4: the same page.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Right, Winning cures everything. That's that's that's how it works
- 47:26Speaker 3: in all sports. Let's go to Patty and agawam. What's
- 47:31Speaker 3: up Patty?
- 47:33Speaker 16: Hey, good afternoon guys, and Galo. So, I have a
- 47:39Speaker 16: question about the Mario Douglas. I think he's a decent player.
- 47:43Speaker 16: But do you guys think like we could possibly you
- 47:46Speaker 16: might see the Patriots upgrade like that slot position in
- 47:50Speaker 16: the draft, because it hasn't been uncommon in the past
- 47:53Speaker 16: past years. I know it's the whole new offense, but
- 47:56Speaker 16: to see them with a couple of slot.
- 47:58Speaker 3: Receivers, well, listen, they have to do one of two things.
- 48:01Speaker 3: They have to either improve the position by player or
- 48:03Speaker 3: improve the use of the of the position because right
- 48:07Speaker 3: now you're not getting the production out of the slot.
- 48:10Speaker 4: I'd look for an upgrade there personally.
- 48:12Speaker 12: Yeah, my feeling would be, you need to upgrade the
- 48:14Speaker 12: position so much that it thinks that matter.
- 48:16Speaker 8: It doesn't really matter.
- 48:17Speaker 12: It like pops a nice piece and you can have
- 48:18Speaker 12: them and put them in there in the slot, but
- 48:21Speaker 12: you're not counting on him to be one of the
- 48:23Speaker 12: main engines your offense. You've got two new guys in
- 48:25Speaker 12: there that are gonna be complimentary and then.
- 48:28Speaker 8: Let Bourne Douglas Polk Baker.
- 48:31Speaker 12: Let those guys fight it out next summer, and it's
- 48:33Speaker 12: gonna be kind of the same thing when we walked in.
- 48:35Speaker 12: Here's a bunch of guys. We know, these two new
- 48:37Speaker 12: guys that they've invested in or drafted highly are gonna
- 48:39Speaker 12: be here. But battle it out, Booty, you gotta you know,
- 48:42Speaker 12: those guys have to fight it out again and see
- 48:44Speaker 12: who you know can get on just the consistency page, right,
- 48:47Speaker 12: I mean, that's the thing.
- 48:48Speaker 8: It's just these guys are I mean, I'm.
- 48:49Speaker 12: Not gonna lie, like just the energy just bugs me
- 48:52Speaker 12: now with those guys, like all of them, the whole room,
- 48:54Speaker 12: I'm just looking, I'm over.
- 48:55Speaker 3: It, like, well, they don't have a leader.
- 48:56Speaker 8: These aren't Julian Edelman, remember Julian.
- 48:58Speaker 12: Edelman was like he seems pissed, like, yeah, they lost
- 49:00Speaker 12: one game, you know, like there's none of that vibe
- 49:03Speaker 12: with those guys. And I don't know. I just I've
- 49:06Speaker 12: I've fallen out of favor. That's not probably not the
- 49:08Speaker 12: right word. I've just fallen out of love with the
- 49:10Speaker 12: whole atmosphere. They right and just and again, my dad,
- 49:15Speaker 12: that was me, Haha, messed up again?
- 49:17Speaker 3: What are you gonna do?
- 49:18Speaker 7: Fred makes a.
- 49:19Speaker 6: Great point about they don't have like Kendrick's a great
- 49:22Speaker 6: guy and keeps everyone's spirits up, but like as a
- 49:26Speaker 6: veteran leader, like that's not what I picture in my head,
- 49:29Speaker 6: And contrasted with the tight end room, I think it's
- 49:31Speaker 6: night and day.
- 49:32Speaker 3: They don't have anyone that does their talking in the field.
- 49:34Speaker 4: Well, that's yeah, I mean, I think Alex makes a
- 49:37Speaker 4: really good point about that's not necessarily the leadership style,
- 49:40Speaker 4: whereas I think they probably are a little bit more
- 49:42Speaker 4: professional with Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper in the tight
- 49:46Speaker 4: end room. But yeah, they don't have a guy on
- 49:48Speaker 4: the field that's clearly leading the way.
- 49:50Speaker 6: And Hunter and Austin are two guys that they came
- 49:53Speaker 6: into the league with really great established quarterbacks that poured
- 49:57Speaker 6: into them and I think they're using that example with
- 49:59Speaker 6: Drake and they I know tight ends are often like
- 50:02Speaker 6: the safety blanket, but clearly he's having a connection with
- 50:05Speaker 6: those guys and really that's where all the offense comes from,
- 50:07Speaker 6: is those tight ends.
- 50:08Speaker 3: Right now, now, going into year two with Drake May,
- 50:13Speaker 3: the leader of the offense will be Drake May, and
- 50:16Speaker 3: he will also be the leader of those wide receivers
- 50:20Speaker 3: in many respects. I think this year obviously he's you know,
- 50:24Speaker 3: figuring things out, and I know we've heard stories about
- 50:28Speaker 3: him becoming more vocal of late. But next year, if
- 50:32Speaker 3: there's problems with the wide receivers, they're going to hear
- 50:34Speaker 3: it from their quarterback, you know, like you do on
- 50:36Speaker 3: most teams with good quarterbacks.
- 50:38Speaker 8: They better.
- 50:38Speaker 12: I five, I was getting know as I thought with
- 50:40Speaker 12: Kendrick Bourne, he's uh, he's the kind of.
- 50:42Speaker 8: Guy that would get iced out by Brady.
- 50:44Speaker 3: Oh yeause he's.
- 50:45Speaker 12: So inconsistent and you just don't know what you're gonna
- 50:47Speaker 12: get from.
- 50:47Speaker 8: Down What would the right spot?
- 50:49Speaker 3: Now, what would Tom Brady do with this crew? Like
- 50:53Speaker 3: he'd be icing everybody?
- 50:55Speaker 12: Yeah, right, well, I think Hunter, Henry and Hooper probably No, No,
- 50:57Speaker 12: I'm talking about the receivers, Like, well, how would Tom
- 51:00Speaker 12: Brady handle this? I mean if you walked in and said, okay,
- 51:03Speaker 12: you're taking over the offense, Tom, you're the quarterback.
- 51:07Speaker 3: How do you think he would deal with that?
- 51:08Speaker 12: Sh not well, not well, Bop. I especially wonder like
- 51:12Speaker 12: with guy like Polk, like if you saw that connection
- 51:14Speaker 12: in the summer with with Brady and a receiver like that,
- 51:17Speaker 12: I would, you know, guess and I don't. I mean,
- 51:19Speaker 12: I would say probably some more from Polk than Sha
- 51:21Speaker 12: Kobe Myers. I mean that was that was my first year.
- 51:23Speaker 12: Maybe that's a little like just in training camp working
- 51:25Speaker 12: with Brady, but you know, just in terms of volume,
- 51:28Speaker 12: how much involvement he had, you know that that would
- 51:30Speaker 12: be weird. That would be weird to see kind of
- 51:32Speaker 12: like he earned the trust. But now all that I mean,
- 51:34Speaker 12: of course Polk is his own case. I shouldn't use
- 51:37Speaker 12: him for examples. I feel like he's such an anomaly.
- 51:39Speaker 6: It's so hard to because you would think like it
- 51:42Speaker 6: would look totally different if Brady were here kind of
- 51:44Speaker 6: leading that group. And that's not a fault to Drake,
- 51:46Speaker 6: because Drake's a rookie. Like it's hard, it's really awkward
- 51:49Speaker 6: for him to come in and just try to exert
- 51:50Speaker 6: his dominance in his rookie year. But with Tom, like
- 51:53Speaker 6: he wouldn't put up.
- 51:55Speaker 12: With that, no, no, and he hold him to a
- 51:57Speaker 12: standard and this inconsistency, yes, but it all.
- 52:00Speaker 6: Goes back to like really strong veteran presidents setting a
- 52:03Speaker 6: standard and unfortunately, like we've had that for years and
- 52:06Speaker 6: years and years here and it's just kind of disintegrated
- 52:09Speaker 6: a little.
- 52:09Speaker 12: Another question for the group I was wondering about it.
- 52:11Speaker 8: It's like, at what point does.
- 52:15Speaker 12: Is there too much losing within the culture and it's
- 52:17Speaker 12: just you know, it's infected the team and they just
- 52:20Speaker 12: haven't been successful and you know so long, and you know,
- 52:24Speaker 12: what point do you just feel like these guys they've
- 52:26Speaker 12: kind of lost the edge to win and how do
- 52:27Speaker 12: you get it back?
- 52:28Speaker 3: No further than the Jets.
- 52:29Speaker 4: Well, I think that I made that point yesterday or
- 52:33Speaker 4: this week's at some point like this is this has
- 52:36Speaker 4: a chance to be what thirty five of these guys,
- 52:39Speaker 4: forty of these guys how many you want to pick,
- 52:42Speaker 4: We'll be back next year and a lot of them
- 52:44Speaker 4: will have won seven games in two years. Like That's
- 52:48Speaker 4: That's why I think it's important that you find a
- 52:50Speaker 4: way to win some games, because I think that you
- 52:52Speaker 4: need to establish some kind of a winning atmosphere that
- 52:56Speaker 4: they haven't been able to do for a couple of years.
- 52:58Speaker 3: The start for next year will be critical.
- 53:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:01Speaker 8: Yeah, if Mao's back, I mean yeah, I'm.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Sure I'm assuming that he will be From minute one
- 53:07Speaker 3: Mike's in Puerto Rico. What's up, Mike?
- 53:11Speaker 2: Not much, Hones. You guys doing the weather?
- 53:14Speaker 3: All right, Well, I just.
- 53:16Speaker 2: First wanted to say easy to think, easy to outthink,
- 53:20Speaker 2: easy to destroy, facred game plans.
- 53:24Speaker 3: Okay, I wanted to.
- 53:26Speaker 2: Throw a quick question out there for y'all. I mean
- 53:30Speaker 2: two points mainly is number one. How what does it
- 53:35Speaker 2: say about our offense and our offensive talent when two
- 53:40Speaker 2: of the people that, if brought on board, would be
- 53:43Speaker 2: our most dynamic weapons would actually be playing defense, that
- 53:48Speaker 2: is with Marcus Jones and bringing in Travis Hunter. If
- 53:52Speaker 2: we bring those two players and that's what we get
- 53:54Speaker 2: excited for next year and both of them are primarily
- 53:58Speaker 2: defensive players, I'm.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Not sure I understand. What are you saying, Like, what's
- 54:04Speaker 3: the question? That's not a good thing? That if our
- 54:07Speaker 3: two best offensive players are primarily defensive players. Is that
- 54:10Speaker 3: what you're saying?
- 54:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that that's just an indictment.
- 54:15Speaker 3: I hope that's not the case.
- 54:16Speaker 12: You know that we have Yeah, No, I mean I
- 54:19Speaker 12: think Elliot Wolf said last year he had to weaponize
- 54:21Speaker 12: the offense. I think he's got to weaponize the offense
- 54:23Speaker 12: this year. It's the same it's the same thing. I mean,
- 54:25Speaker 12: and and it's it's more than.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Just the first weaponize the defense, so.
- 54:30Speaker 8: I think they need to do that too.
- 54:33Speaker 17: Well.
- 54:33Speaker 2: And then the the other thing that I was going
- 54:35Speaker 2: to say, And I know you're a big Jabrill Peppers.
- 54:38Speaker 8: Fan, huge dude, huge field dude.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Sorry dude, but I don't know if any of you
- 54:45Speaker 2: are getting like Mac Jones byres from him, Like I
- 54:48Speaker 2: see him playing and it just doesn't seem to like
- 54:52Speaker 2: he didn't think like he's either going for the big
- 54:54Speaker 2: hit or he like if mine is not in the game.
- 54:59Speaker 2: For example, I think there was a screen with doors
- 55:03Speaker 2: that he had the angle, but for whatever reason, he
- 55:06Speaker 2: decided to go after one of the blockers rather than
- 55:08Speaker 2: going straight at the at the wide received any.
- 55:13Speaker 12: Of them catch that I did, I did, I mean,
- 55:16Speaker 12: and I looked out more as him just setting a
- 55:17Speaker 12: hard edge and hoping that his help was going to
- 55:19Speaker 12: get the guys, you know, as he forced him back inside.
- 55:22Speaker 12: But I mean that of course, it's it's he's rusty.
- 55:24Speaker 8: I mean, he hasn't.
- 55:25Speaker 12: He didn't in the building for how long, I mean
- 55:28Speaker 12: two months. I mean, he's givehim a little bit of time.
- 55:31Speaker 12: I mean, but look, I'm not I'm not necessarily throwing
- 55:33Speaker 12: the parades anymore that I wasn't once.
- 55:35Speaker 4: No, I know, I just like to That's what I do.
- 55:39Speaker 3: T I mean, right, No, I want to do the email,
- 55:43Speaker 3: the email cast his podcasts at patriots dot com, And
- 55:47Speaker 3: if you want to sign up for the PU newsletter,
- 55:50Speaker 3: you can do that by going to Patriots dot com
- 55:52Speaker 3: slash PU Newsletter. We've got one coming out tomorrow, right, Alex.

- 55:59Speaker 3: Okay, bad question, I just haven't had time, Guardian.
- 56:03Speaker 8: Last night was old fashions.
- 56:06Speaker 6: I tried so hard to get some great content of
- 56:09Speaker 6: Fred dancing to salsa.
- 56:11Speaker 8: So did you have lessons?
- 56:12Speaker 6: I don't know if you guys are familiar with Bad
- 56:14Speaker 6: Bunny or his song, but Fred has footwork like I
- 56:19Speaker 6: was very pleasantly surprised that Fred's dance moves looks like
- 56:21Speaker 6: he's taking a salsa class.
- 56:23Speaker 7: Before trying to get some content pressed.
- 56:26Speaker 3: Never taking a dance class, I got the rhythm rhythm pressed.
- 56:30Speaker 4: With men that dance well, okay, because I don't think that.
- 56:34Speaker 4: I don't think there's a lot of men that dance well.
- 56:36Speaker 3: No, Fred Astaire Gene Kelly Hello Jack.
- 56:41Speaker 12: I told my boys, girls love a guy with a
- 56:43Speaker 12: little bit of rhythm. You have to get crazy. You
- 56:44Speaker 12: don't have to be break dancing out there. But if
- 56:45Speaker 12: you're willing to get out there, girls they love it.
- 56:51Speaker 4: If you're like with an average group of guys and
- 56:54Speaker 4: you go out, Oh yeah, how many of them actually
- 56:57Speaker 4: look good dancing?
- 56:58Speaker 3: Not?
- 56:58Speaker 4: My answer for me was one, but guys don't.
- 57:02Speaker 3: I think if guys practice as much as girls, they
- 57:05Speaker 3: would be good. Did They just don't put the work. Well.
- 57:09Speaker 6: Girls, it's more normal to take dance your whole life
- 57:11Speaker 6: and learn rhythm.
- 57:13Speaker 3: But if guys practice, they'd be as good a dancer.
- 57:15Speaker 4: Just watching most of them, don't.
- 57:17Speaker 3: They don't? They don't.
- 57:18Speaker 4: You're right, you're going to the club that I as
- 57:22Speaker 4: extremely mid when it comes to dancing.
- 57:24Speaker 7: I think have an advantage.
- 57:28Speaker 4: I was actually going to get compliment along that line,
- 57:31Speaker 4: but made.

- 59:36Speaker 15: As always on Wednesday, we talk about changing the page.
- 59:38Speaker 15: That's kind of the message to the players and everything
- 59:41Speaker 15: we do, everything we talk about, our focus should be
- 59:43Speaker 15: on the Buffalo bills. You know, talking about the bills.
- 59:46Speaker 15: You know, it starts with the quarterback. You know, he's
- 59:48Speaker 15: playing at an unbelievable level right now. He's doing a
- 59:51Speaker 15: good job seeing the field. Has always been dangerous with
- 59:53Speaker 15: both his legs and his arm. I would say, you know,
- 59:57Speaker 15: just from watching them, like the way he's seeing the
- 59:58Speaker 15: field and going through his rea and the ability to
- 1:00:01Speaker 15: extend plays and turn the street ball is definitely, uh,
- 1:00:04Speaker 15: definitely a problem. Gonna take all of us on the
- 1:00:07Speaker 15: field to try to slow him down first and foremost,
- 1:00:09Speaker 15: and then saying that, you know, Cook, you know they
- 1:00:11Speaker 15: got some good backs as well, Cook, and they try
- 1:00:13Speaker 15: to expl they try to exploit, you know, the backs
- 1:00:16Speaker 15: on you know, the linebackers and even sometimes the safeties.
- 1:00:19Speaker 15: But definitely a very explosive player, and obviously the receivers.
- 1:00:22Speaker 15: Even with the rookie, he's playing well for him, big fast, strong,
- 1:00:26Speaker 15: could do a bunch of different things. Don't forget about
- 1:00:28Speaker 15: ken Kaid, who you know, especially after coming off last week,
- 1:00:31Speaker 15: you know he's definitely going to be be targeted in
- 1:00:34Speaker 15: this game. And so we have to do a good
- 1:00:35Speaker 15: job whether we're talking about zone or man uh limiting,
- 1:00:39Speaker 15: limiting that connection between the quarterback. Defensively, to me, it
- 1:00:42Speaker 15: starts up front. You know, a couple good edge rushers
- 1:00:45Speaker 15: and Russl and a Panessa, very good players. And then
- 1:00:49Speaker 15: to me, it really starts with Ed Oliver. I think
- 1:00:52Speaker 15: I've been a fan since he was in college. Very
- 1:00:54Speaker 15: disruptive player, and you can tell he's really coming to
- 1:00:56Speaker 15: his own and makes this defense go. Good players in
- 1:01:01Speaker 15: the back end as well, And then talking about special teams, look,
- 1:01:04Speaker 15: these guys are physical in the special teams world, and
- 1:01:07Speaker 15: you know they're just we got to match that physicality
- 1:01:09Speaker 15: and go out there and win, win that battle fire away.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: That's the biggest challenge of Josh Allen.
- 1:01:16Speaker 21: What makes him maybe arguably different than any other quarterback
- 1:01:19Speaker 21: in the NFL.
- 1:01:20Speaker 15: Yeah, well, first he's I don't know how much he weighs,
- 1:01:22Speaker 15: but I mean this is a big, big human being here.
- 1:01:25Speaker 15: So a guy that anytime, a guy who you know
- 1:01:28Speaker 15: there are rules around obviously tackling quarterbacks, but he also
- 1:01:31Speaker 15: can run you over, run around you, and also still
- 1:01:34Speaker 15: maintain being a passer as he gets outside the pocket.
- 1:01:36Speaker 15: And those are just the challenges that he puts on defenses.
- 1:01:40Speaker 11: Any planners without hope their rosters thought to build that today.
- 1:01:45Speaker 15: Not today, We're not I'm not gonna gain say it,
- 1:01:47Speaker 15: but not today though.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: I think it was Nate Tice posted on Twitter the
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: keishak used to finishing all this route place for me
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: to see.
- 1:01:56Speaker 11: Have you seen an issue that at a location on
- 1:01:58Speaker 11: this reverence.
- 1:01:59Speaker 15: I'm not gonna talk about specific players. I think we
- 1:02:01Speaker 15: all have to get better. You know, for me, you
- 1:02:03Speaker 15: talk about booty, it's get open and catch the ball.
- 1:02:06Speaker 15: I mean that's your job as a wide receiver and
- 1:02:08Speaker 15: receivers in the title of your of your job, your
- 1:02:10Speaker 15: job description, and that's our expectation.
- 1:02:12Speaker 11: Right there was an apportion night have seen it say
- 1:02:16Speaker 11: that you've been clindly.
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: Ensured that the crafts are really getting you in the
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: time and resources necessary.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: To continue to move into the job.
- 1:02:24Speaker 11: Is that the community to teams.
- 1:02:25Speaker 15: I'm not sure where that story came from. Look, I
- 1:02:28Speaker 15: have multiple conversations on a daily basis with ownership and
- 1:02:31Speaker 15: they've always been supportive.
- 1:02:33Speaker 11: You've also talked about getting better in year two.
- 1:02:36Speaker 15: Is that that assure you that you have no again? Again?
- 1:02:39Speaker 15: For me this week, my focus is on this game,
- 1:02:42Speaker 15: the Bills here today, like things that happened at the
- 1:02:44Speaker 15: end of the season, Like I can't control those things,
- 1:02:46Speaker 15: So it's all about the Bills.
- 1:02:48Speaker 11: I understand where you're coming from.
- 1:02:50Speaker 15: I appreciate the answer, but if he's obviously don't have
- 1:02:53Speaker 15: a speculation recently and help.
- 1:02:55Speaker 11: Your future by that answer, you don't necessarily squash the well.
- 1:03:00Speaker 15: I'm not trying to squash anything. I'm trying to let
- 1:03:03Speaker 15: you know, like where my focus is, and it's on
- 1:03:05Speaker 15: the Bills. I understand the question. Thanks.
- 1:03:08Speaker 11: You mentioned Josh Allen's duel thread ability. Kyler Murray obviously
- 1:03:11Speaker 11: another guy with a similar kind of skill set. How
- 1:03:13Speaker 11: do you feel like you guys defended him in that
- 1:03:15Speaker 11: respect well?
- 1:03:16Speaker 15: As far as keeping Kyler in the pocket, I would
- 1:03:18Speaker 15: say overall it was a decent job. But these are
- 1:03:20Speaker 15: two different beasts that you're talking about the difference between
- 1:03:22Speaker 15: Kyler Murray and Josh Allen. Kyler definitely a quicker guy,
- 1:03:26Speaker 15: you know, can do a lot of different things with
- 1:03:27Speaker 15: his legs. With Josh Allen just overall would say he's
- 1:03:29Speaker 15: a stronger guy than one of the top quarterbacks in
- 1:03:32Speaker 15: the league.
- 1:03:33Speaker 11: It's historically the Patris have got one of the best defenses.
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: And we certainly haven't played coached here and that really
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: hasn't been the case this year.
- 1:03:39Speaker 11: If you had to boil it down, what is the
- 1:03:41Speaker 11: reason for some of the play and the client.
- 1:03:44Speaker 15: Look, I'm not gonna I don't want to get into
- 1:03:46Speaker 15: you know, the players or anything like that. We just
- 1:03:48Speaker 15: have to play better and next keep better. That's what
- 1:03:50Speaker 15: it comes down to.
- 1:03:52Speaker 11: Druid.
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: You said something someday that stuck with me.
- 1:03:54Speaker 17: You said about accountabilities about going out and correcting it
- 1:03:58Speaker 17: about action. Some of the players, to my thinking, are
- 1:04:03Speaker 17: making the same mistakes.
- 1:04:05Speaker 11: How do you create accountability with the players?
- 1:04:07Speaker 13: Do you know I play them?
- 1:04:08Speaker 10: Do you?
- 1:04:09Speaker 15: How do you?
- 1:04:09Speaker 11: How do you create that accountability so the stakes don't
- 1:04:12Speaker 11: happen again?
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:04:12Speaker 15: I think you know, you would always love to be
- 1:04:15Speaker 15: able to you know, a guy make a mistake, you
- 1:04:16Speaker 15: pull into the sideline and go on from there. You
- 1:04:19Speaker 15: would love to do those things. I would say, we're
- 1:04:20Speaker 15: not in that position right now. And look, I mean
- 1:04:23Speaker 15: I think each individual situation that you're talking about is different,
- 1:04:26Speaker 15: you know, post snap penalty versus a pre snap penalty,
- 1:04:29Speaker 15: at least in my mind, is different. And how you
- 1:04:30Speaker 15: handle those things and so that's how I kind of
- 1:04:33Speaker 15: go about it.
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: N How would you.
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: Say, as the season's gone on, the players that you
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: all have kind of responded to your coaching style because
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: it's different than what spending the time.
- 1:04:42Speaker 15: It is different. And I would say, you know, I
- 1:04:45Speaker 15: think those guys they go out there and they play
- 1:04:47Speaker 15: hard every day. I mean, I'm not trying to offer
- 1:04:49Speaker 15: a consolation prize because it comes down to wins and losses,
- 1:04:52Speaker 15: which we haven't won many games this year and I mean,
- 1:04:54Speaker 15: that's no secret. I do think the guys go out
- 1:04:57Speaker 15: every single day and practice hard and try to squeeze
- 1:05:00Speaker 15: as much as we can out of those guys to
- 1:05:01Speaker 15: go out there and perform on Sunday.
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: Do you feel like the message is that you're trying
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: to get across and like geccount Valley and all that,
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: do you feel like they're reaching the team in the
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: way that you would want them to reach.
- 1:05:10Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: I do.
- 1:05:10Speaker 15: I would also say, you know, historically, no matter if
- 1:05:13Speaker 15: you're playing high school, college, whatever, I would say it's
- 1:05:16Speaker 15: also you have a conversation with the captains. You have
- 1:05:19Speaker 15: a conversation with the team, and you know the captains
- 1:05:21Speaker 15: have to disseminate that message and you know we're professional reminders,
- 1:05:24Speaker 15: that's what we are.
- 1:05:25Speaker 11: Do you feel that.
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: The team, you and the team have established an identity
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: yet or is that still something that you're working to
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: map out.
- 1:05:37Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 1:05:37Speaker 15: Yeah, I understand the question one hundred percent. What I
- 1:05:39Speaker 15: would say is we are what our record says we
- 1:05:41Speaker 15: are at this point in time, and we just got
- 1:05:44Speaker 15: to get better.
- 1:05:45Speaker 22: Do you see the chief overlap or similar they should
- 1:05:48Speaker 22: say between your quarterback and Josh Allen's.
- 1:05:50Speaker 11: Quarter For this weekend.
- 1:05:52Speaker 15: Well, one you know, was the MVP of the league
- 1:05:55Speaker 15: and the other is a rookie quarterback. You know, I'm
- 1:05:57Speaker 15: not trying to be smart. I'm just saying it's you.
- 1:05:59Speaker 15: I don't want to get into comparison and comparing those
- 1:06:01Speaker 15: two players. They both offer the ability to run and
- 1:06:05Speaker 15: the ability to throw the ball down the field. And
- 1:06:07Speaker 15: saying that, you know, Josh being a veteran quarterback is
- 1:06:10Speaker 15: a difficult challenge.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: Coach.
- 1:06:11Speaker 9: On James Connors fifty three yard run, you mentioned that
- 1:06:13Speaker 9: there were a couple of defenders you would have expected
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: to make the tackle that didn't. So I'm curious when
- 1:06:17Speaker 9: it comes to the safety and linebacker play, have they
- 1:06:19Speaker 9: been meeting your expectations and if not, where would you
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: like to see those has improved?
- 1:06:23Speaker 15: They definitely have to improve. I would say all phases
- 1:06:25Speaker 15: have to improve. Coaching has to improve. But you know,
- 1:06:28Speaker 15: the expectation is always when you go into a game,
- 1:06:31Speaker 15: you know you got to go out there and play
- 1:06:32Speaker 15: with good fundamentals and tackle them falls in that bucket
- 1:06:35Speaker 15: off line this.
- 1:06:37Speaker 11: Week, If you envision any changes starting good this week.
- 1:06:41Speaker 15: We look, we'll see how practice goes today. And again
- 1:06:43Speaker 15: we're always trying to put the best guys out there
- 1:06:45Speaker 15: that give us the best opportunity to win.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: As I mentioned, you have alluded to the running backs
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: and passing.
- 1:06:50Speaker 11: The tight ends for Buffalos. You know, they've been productive
- 1:06:54Speaker 11: and late, but the other games rally.
- 1:06:56Speaker 10: Will throw the ball to different resuers, a lot of
- 1:06:59Speaker 10: target professionally.
- 1:07:01Speaker 11: Part of it the skill set there. What have you
- 1:07:04Speaker 11: seen in his growth and kind of the evolution of
- 1:07:06Speaker 11: their offense from when you first coached Againston.
- 1:07:10Speaker 15: Yeah, for me, I always say, and I told the guy,
- 1:07:13Speaker 15: I told the coaches this. I thought Josh Allen really
- 1:07:16Speaker 15: took a huge step forward when he started taking the
- 1:07:18Speaker 15: profit and being able just to take the check down
- 1:07:21Speaker 15: and that became That's where that was the point, at
- 1:07:23Speaker 15: least in my mind, when he became a very very
- 1:07:25Speaker 15: good quarterback in this league.
- 1:07:26Speaker 22: Going back in front of it, I know this is
- 1:07:28Speaker 22: three years ago, but it felt like he started to
- 1:07:30Speaker 22: get a real handled in twenty twenty one that you
- 1:07:33Speaker 22: guys threw a ton at him.
- 1:07:35Speaker 11: You faced him three times.
- 1:07:36Speaker 22: What do you remember about spitting the dialis as much
- 1:07:39Speaker 22: as possible and him having answers.
- 1:07:41Speaker 15: Yeah, I mean, look just kind of what I said earlier,
- 1:07:43Speaker 15: it was more about him just taking the profit like
- 1:07:45Speaker 15: early in his career, because he does have a big arm,
- 1:07:48Speaker 15: he does have athletic ability to run around. He was
- 1:07:50Speaker 15: always trying to make the big play. And I thought
- 1:07:52Speaker 15: the evolution of Josh Allen was when he took the profit.
- 1:07:55Speaker 11: You want to go for the job.
- 1:07:57Speaker 21: There's a lot of discussion about the word collaboration as
- 1:08:00Speaker 21: you got through this first year here. How have you
- 1:08:03Speaker 21: gone about sort of asserting what it is that you
- 1:08:07Speaker 21: want to do when you've kind of, you know, for
- 1:08:08Speaker 21: lack of a better term, you had.
- 1:08:10Speaker 15: The hammer and made it very to be a collaboration
- 1:08:13Speaker 15: doesn't mean that everyone you know has you know, equal vote.
- 1:08:17Speaker 15: It's about just listening and trying to do what's best
- 1:08:20Speaker 15: and ultimately that's on me to do what's best for
- 1:08:22Speaker 15: the football team. Exact thanks.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: And now great moments in.
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: History. It's a totally different food.
- 1:08:36Speaker 23: I'm talking about boneless buffalo wings as opposed to bone
- 1:08:40Speaker 23: in buffalo wings.
- 1:08:41Speaker 21: Right, But isn't what's in the chicken finger the same
- 1:08:43Speaker 21: as the boneless buffalo wings?
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: Necessarily it does nice to say it does not.
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: Taste the same.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: You can put anything in the boneless stuff.
- 1:08:53Speaker 23: And I'm not even I'm not even anti because of that.
- 1:08:55Speaker 23: Although he's right, Fred's absolutely right, it's not necessarily the same.
- 1:08:59Speaker 23: The bone I think gives it more flavor. Yeah, I
- 1:09:01Speaker 23: think it's a better you ever have a bone put
- 1:09:04Speaker 23: a non bonus.
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: Absolutely get that.
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: Bone in boner.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: B That's another great moment.
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: All right back here and Patriots Unfiltered eighty five five
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: Pass five hundred is a tpx utline podcast at Patriots
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: dot com. As an email address, it's Alex, it's Deuce,
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: it's me, it's Paul Jules.
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: In the booth.
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: Evan'll be by later. We'll talk about practice and we'll
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: get into the picks. We gotta hurry. Let's get to
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: some of these emails at podcasts at Patriots dot com.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: Happy holidays to all, says Ryan, thanks for all the content.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: As far as the game goes, I expect the Patriots
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: to get the breaks beat out of them in this game.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: It could be a high scoring endeavor, but I fear
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: a fifty burger is in store for this Bill's offense
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: if they show up and play well. For me, the
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: second Bills game in Week eighteen is going to be
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: a bigger deal. For this regime. If they get beat
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: badly this week, seeing how this coaching staff adjust to
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: what the Bills do and then prepares a game plan
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: in Week eighteen will be important. If the Bills beat
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: the Patriots badly by seventeen or more in each game,
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: would that change your outlook for this coaching staff going
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: into twenty twenty five?
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: Uh no, no, No. The Bills are roughly somewhere between
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: I don't know, fifteen and twenty points better than the Patriots,
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: don't you think?
- 1:10:29Speaker 8: Yes?
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: Oh yeah, so like I don't know. I mean, now,
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: if you lose like embarrassingly, like you're just not ready
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: to play it, it's a mess. I mean, that's different
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: kind of stuff. But just on paper, losing a game
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: by seventeen points to a team that's vastly superior to you,
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: I don't think his grounds are firing, do you.
- 1:10:47Speaker 12: Well, they just haven't had any answers for Josh Alleny
- 1:10:49Speaker 12: when they have Bill here and they had all their defense,
- 1:10:50Speaker 12: and I mean, he's he's pretty much been a problem
- 1:10:53Speaker 12: every time they've faced them, you know, And.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: I still think they kind of feel like they're better
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: against him than they are now. Even listening to JaMarcus
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: a little bit today. You know, yeah, you know we've
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: dealt with him and you know we've we've done pretty good,
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: you know, like have you.
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: I feel like that Wind Game just has inflated the confidence.
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: Even the wind Game, he was able to throw it
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: all over them in the wind once the once they
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: figured out that they could throw, you know.
- 1:11:16Speaker 8: He can throw.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: Uh, let's see who's this? It is Philip and he
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: writes in first uh pick got a hurry first time email.
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: I have been listening since Evan joined the show. I've
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: also been listening to Evan and Barrs since they did
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: the Patriots Beat podcast together and clinics.
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: Is that like Teen Beat Tiger Beat?
- 1:11:34Speaker 8: Yeah, it's exactly.
- 1:11:35Speaker 12: It's it's a teen magazine that Evan and and Alex
- 1:11:38Speaker 12: I just got.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: I just have two quick questions, one being what is
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: what is the origin of we got our guy sound bite?
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: Every time Fred says it and cracks me up all
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: day and I can never get it out of my head.
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: But I always wondered where the original sound came from.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: It's from the draft. So we make fun of the
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: cowboys because every draft they have their care was in
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: the war room. And I don't care what round it is,
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: sixth round pick. They picked their guy and they all
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: slapping each other and high five and like, you know,
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: they got the pick of the draft. And so that's
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: how it started, Like we got our guy, and you
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: know you do it in like that Texas ti.
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: So we would look at it and we would be
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: like if you're in the draft room for an NFL
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: team and then you select a guy, didn't you know
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: you were going to select that guy? But they all
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: act like, oh yeah, Mike, great job, Alex stuff there,
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: we got our guy. That was that was afredism, you know,
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: like they all act like there's stunts that they got
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: the guy that they've been scouting.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: And it's all mugging for the camera. It's like look
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: at him and you know we we you know, we.
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: Only think missing it is a cigar.
- 1:12:45Speaker 12: Yeah, didn't we do one two the third day of
- 1:12:47Speaker 12: the one of those draft shows we did, Like when
- 1:12:49Speaker 12: the Patriots draft to pit we all say high five.
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: Like all right, but you know, all right, you know,
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: we sing of this guy out and by god, we
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: got them. Look at us.
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: There's a blast.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: So that's how it started. With the Cowboys, we got
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: our guy. But just watch next year when they have
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: the draft on ESPN or NFL network. Watch when the
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: Cowboys make their pick. It's like they just invented, you know, drafting.
- 1:13:16Speaker 8: I also love the kid in the suit.
- 1:13:17Speaker 12: That's my favorite part of the Cowboys is like one
- 1:13:19Speaker 12: of the grandsons who's probably like eleven years old and
- 1:13:21Speaker 12: he's in a full suit there, and you know he's
- 1:13:23Speaker 12: already more worth more than I am.
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: They've gone over the top, like you know, they have
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: contest winners sitting in the war room. It's it's crazy.
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: The number two question he had, let's see, I gotta
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: read where am I? Okay, how many your signatures do
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: I need to gather for a petition to bring Catch
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: twenty two back to two days a week? The Boys
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: need more than just two hours to dissect the last
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: game and preview the upcoming game. Though Evan tries to
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: keep Barth on topic or keep them on rapid firetime,
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: it often fails. Love both shows. Listen to every episode.
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: Thanks for everything, So no, we won't be having to
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: catch twenty two's and there it is.
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: It's a non star. Mike and I have talked about that.
- 1:14:07Speaker 8: Yeah, pp In the two.
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: No having them having Evan do Tuesday and Thursday and then,
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: because you know he's not always here, but that would
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: be a way to get him on.
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: We'll figure something now. We had the whole off season
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: to figure. What I will say is, well, probably you'll
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: probably have more Barth and more Evan closer to the draft.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: Probably give them more airtime to talk about that. Jacob
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: and Illinois. All the weather outside is frightful, but Drake
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: May's progress is delightful. Our records got no place to go.
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: So let it snow. Let it snow, Let it snow.
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: Our suck has no signs of stopping. Mike's negativity is popping,
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: and though our spirits are way down low, let it snow.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: Let it snow. Let it snowing. Jacob from Illinois with
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: a little.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: Not bad than cute, not bad, good job, good effort.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: I could sing it if eat lots of emails, put
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: right there a lot of emails.
- 1:15:09Speaker 8: Do you want to get serious about your.
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: I can hold a couple of That is a game?
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: Did you really really have?
- 1:15:18Speaker 12: Now?
- 1:15:19Speaker 6: I want you back by the Jackson five? Then I
- 1:15:22Speaker 6: forgot solid the levels of the competition. I finished with
- 1:15:26Speaker 6: believe it or not, Whitney Houston want to dance with somebody?
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: What do you?
- 1:15:30Speaker 12: That's like those are the two most difficult karaoke songs
- 1:15:32Speaker 12: that exist.
- 1:15:33Speaker 8: I can bell I Always love You.
- 1:15:35Speaker 7: I'm a great karaoke you can know you could blow.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: That's what they can blow.
- 1:15:44Speaker 12: Did you have singing lessons?
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: My mom's a phenomenal singer, so all my sisters.
- 1:15:48Speaker 12: Actually it's undroet some moody you guys, very musical house.
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: There was always like Tony Braxton or Houston, like.
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: We're turning it on.
- 1:16:00Speaker 6: My mom is a deep appreciation for.
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: The female vote the nineties.
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: I would never do it like in front of any buddy,
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: but I do a good Tony Braxton in the car trying.
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: Like was always playing Saturday morning, my mom CDs were
- 1:16:21Speaker 6: on and we were up clean in the house.
- 1:16:22Speaker 12: And you're hitting like ten year old Michael Jackson notes like,
- 1:16:25Speaker 12: oh God, I'll let you go.
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: He's really embracing this musical side. It's it's like it's
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: happening right in front of this is great.
- 1:16:35Speaker 6: There's like a Wei game where you kind of like dance,
- 1:16:39Speaker 6: just dance on the Wii, and the Jackson five was
- 1:16:42Speaker 6: like my go to songs.
- 1:16:43Speaker 7: So I think I just heard it so much.
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: Can I tried, but I don't have any ability whatsoever
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: to sing.
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: I got to hear this, okay, So that's a little
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: bit decided off season we're going to have singing. No,
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: we're not.
- 1:17:01Speaker 5: We're not.
- 1:17:03Speaker 8: It's going to get me to choose.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: You get to choose your song. Yes you can. You
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: can pretend you're in the shower.
- 1:17:13Speaker 15: I can't say.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:17:14Speaker 12: You get extra points if you play an instrument along
- 1:17:16Speaker 12: with yourself, and b do you get extra points if
- 1:17:18Speaker 12: you write the song?
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: Like what if you make a song?
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: You have to do? You have to do a recognizable
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: song that people know, like bust a move already.
- 1:17:27Speaker 7: No, we can't. Rapping is a cop out.
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: It has to be like, you have to have a
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: melody sing. I can't stress enough. How are you going
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: to do?
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: No ability, whether it's good or not.
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: I'm not sure you've ever heard anybody sing, but I
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: know you cannot.
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: You have to channel your car. That's the whole reason.
- 1:17:46Speaker 7: For the definitely channel some Sinatra.
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: The whole reason for the joke that I was going
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: to sing reasons at my wedding to my wife was
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: that she knew, like, you can't do that, and then
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: I just kept saying it. I think at one point
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: she started thinking, he's really going to do this. This
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: is going to be humiliating.
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: Such a special girl?
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: Said, is this the time? Reason?
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: Now we're gonna have to shut me down. We're going
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: to have a single contest, all right, participation.
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: So like a virgin was that was a hit for me?
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: And on karaoke that's seven mill of lights deep.
- 1:18:24Speaker 8: Geez, beat the girls away after that.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: I can't do that anymore, all right?
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: Ryan and Ottawa wants to bring up the Athletic article
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: about Woody Johnson. Oh did you guys see this?
- 1:18:35Speaker 4: I did not read the article, but I saw some
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: of the clips and they are hilarious.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: So what is he using Madden ratings? Now to Jerry Judy?
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: Right, he did not want to take a trade for
- 1:18:47Speaker 4: Jerry Judy because he didn't feel like his Madden rating
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: was high enough.
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: That can't be true. That's really It makes for great,
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: part makes for great.
- 1:18:55Speaker 12: So is he playing Madden and he was aware of
- 1:18:57Speaker 12: his rating?
- 1:18:58Speaker 8: I'm speculating?
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: Or was he?
- 1:18:59Speaker 8: Did he go to Madden?
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: It's like I gotta check the right evidently. He also
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: they made a trade. Who do they make the truth?
- 1:19:06Speaker 8: Who Grandpa Jerry Judy?
- 1:19:08Speaker 12: He stinks, all right, thanks Billy.
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: I forget who they made a trade with, or maybe
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: they didn't end up making the trade, but they wanted
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: the seventh round pick mister irrelevant, and he didn't want
- 1:19:22Speaker 4: to trade that. He traded. He said, give him a
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: higher seventh round pick because we need to draft the
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: next Rock Party. Gez like with mister.
- 1:19:31Speaker 12: Irrelevanable logic.
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: Sound sounds logic, like Fred says, I mean, I find it.
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: You know, I was on Twitter this morning reading some
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: of these you know posts. I was dying laughing. But
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: I'm kind of a little like Fred. I'm like, this
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: can't It's like someone's got to be setting him up.
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: This can't be completely true.
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: There's plenty of people, Ben writes in he says, according
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: to five oh six sports dot Com, the Patriots Bills
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: game is the national game at four to twenty five?
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: Is that because of Josh.
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: Allen or on CBS? You mean, I don't know what's what,
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: because I don't think CBS technically Bills a national game.
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: But they both networks have a game that goes beyond
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: the regions.
- 1:20:15Speaker 12: Yeah, there's only three games at four to twenty five
- 1:20:18Speaker 12: this week. It's Jacksonville, Vegasi. Yeah, in Minnesota at Seattle,
- 1:20:22Speaker 12: which probably I mean that's better, that's the best game of.
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: All of them.
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I would say, So that's interesting.
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: I mean there had to be a reason why they
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: put it in there, Like why why they changed now?
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: I know they lost inventory because the Christmas games and
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: they needed an extra four o'clock.
- 1:20:40Speaker 12: But the Christmas games coming up?
- 1:20:41Speaker 8: So how do we do picks?
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: I mean not the Christmas game. There's Saturday games this week.
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: I meant this Saturday.
- 1:20:46Speaker 12: Do we do two picks on Tuesday and then we
- 1:20:47Speaker 12: make the rest of them Thursdays?
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: That will do for picks.
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: We'll pick on Tuesday. Everything everything on Tuesday. Be prepared
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: to be ready, Alexandra. That means you need to be
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: here Tuesday to Christmas Eve.
- 1:21:01Speaker 7: I don't think there's any community events, so we need
- 1:21:02Speaker 7: the desk.
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: Kyle from Pembroke. I don't think this is going to
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: be a fun weekend for Patriots fans. I predict the
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: Bills will win fifty two to seventeen. With this game
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: being the epitome of what the season has been. I've
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: been on the give Mayo a second year trained, but
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: after last week and how these last three games could go,
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: I'm starting to get on the fence.
- 1:21:27Speaker 12: Be interesting if they're sneaky competitive in this one, because
- 1:21:30Speaker 12: I don't think anybody's really expecting it. I think everybody's
- 1:21:32Speaker 12: just kind of holding their nose and all right, let's
- 1:21:34Speaker 12: just get through it.
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: But you know, maybe I just feel like it's all
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: about Buffalo. I really do.
- 1:21:39Speaker 8: It doesn't matter what the Patriots.
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: I mean, I guess you could watch the game and
- 1:21:43Speaker 4: change your opinion, like, wow, no, the Patriots just played
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: really well. But like my guess is you're gonna look
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: at Buffalo in this game and say their heart didn't
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: really seem to be in it.
- 1:21:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: If it's that.
- 1:21:54Speaker 8: Yeah, right, right right.
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: Dave Jones writes in Yesterday, Paul suggested that drafting a
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: wide receiver top cornerback would produce the same results. I disagree.
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: A top tight end would improve the offense dramatically, giving
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: may an open target while taking pressure off the other receivers.
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: Adding a corner wouldn't change the defense without supplementing the
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: D line. Could they sign both a top corner and
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: a top wide receiver, and free agency there may be
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: trade down to build the roster.
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you kind of took something a step
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: beyond what I was saying. I just feel like they
- 1:22:27Speaker 4: need every they need everything. So if they have a
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: great player, I want to take a great player, I
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: don't care what position he plays, Like you want to
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: tell me a wide receive, Like I don't think one
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: wide receiver is going to completely transform the offense, but
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: you get two shut down corners, Yeah, that might, that
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: might help transform your defense. I would disagree with that.
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: Premis a little bit.
- 1:22:50Speaker 10: Uh.
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: Dave in Madrid writ sid, how much can we realistically
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: learn from the quote young guys in three games? Like
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: if Cole Strange, Caden Wallace or Poke or a Baker play, well,
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: do you really feel like that is enough to not
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: consider that position a need?
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: No, No, that's not what anyone is hoping to see
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: young players for. Like they're gonna have needs going forward anyway.
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: They're just trying to see how many needs they have
- 1:23:16Speaker 4: going forward. Like Jalen Polk, what if you know, I
- 1:23:19Speaker 4: think the horses out of the barn on that. But
- 1:23:21Speaker 4: like let's just say for arguments that he caught like
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: eight passes each of the last three games. You wouldn't
- 1:23:25Speaker 4: look at that and say, maybe maybe I got to.
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: At least he's done it.
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: I got a two three here, you know, in the making.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: All right, Evan has sat down, Evan.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Has returned, Evan has we turned?
- 1:23:41Speaker 13: Has we turned?
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: Rom pact?
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: All right? Evan? What do we got?
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: Only so many of those left? You know, you start
- 1:23:51Speaker 5: to count down and you start to think about it.
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: Get sad.
- 1:23:55Speaker 5: It's a little sad. Yeah, I'm gonna miss the song.
- 1:23:57Speaker 5: Maybe we'll just play it in the off season, just fun. Anyways,
- 1:24:01Speaker 5: out of practice today, some good, some bad. Kyle Duggar
- 1:24:05Speaker 5: back at Patriots practice on Thursday. But Christian Barmore absent
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: from practice today, so that could still be part of
- 1:24:14Speaker 5: this whole management situation with him that he's sitting out
- 1:24:18Speaker 5: Thursdays still, So we'll see what that is on the
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: injury report and still know Marcus Jones or Jamichael Hasty.
- 1:24:24Speaker 5: So Marcus Jones is dealing with a hip injury and
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: he has now missed two straight practices, so I would
- 1:24:30Speaker 5: start thinking about him not playing on Sunday at this point.
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: Oh, it did also say illness though, right, No, that.
- 1:24:36Speaker 12: Was with Doug Oh, okay, Doug had a mask on
- 1:24:39Speaker 12: today's Yeah.
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: Yeah, So Marcus Jones does worry me a little bit.
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: Though, Yeah, I mean I in two ways. I mean,
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: obviously with punt returning, but uh, I also think, you know,
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: he's he's done okay on defense, and I think he's
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: a loss there. I mean, it's not like they have
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: all this depth.
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: It's definitely a lot. They don't have any yeah ever,
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: any corners.
- 1:25:00Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a good matchup for him against Khalil Shakir.
- 1:25:03Speaker 5: I feel like, you know, it's I think a guy
- 1:25:04Speaker 5: that he could actually you know, do pretty well. Again,
- 1:25:06Speaker 5: so to not have him it probably is a pretty
- 1:25:10Speaker 5: big blow to them.
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, so let's get into it. Other than
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: the absences, the stuff, what did you see, not just
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: who you didn't see.
- 1:25:20Speaker 5: I didn't see much of anything different. I would say
- 1:25:25Speaker 5: today pretty much the same general stuff. You know, Ben
- 1:25:29Speaker 5: Brown still at center.
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: Okay, you know, I haven't.
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: Really seen the line over the last two days look
- 1:25:35Speaker 5: any differently than what it did in Arizona, So I
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: would expect it to remain in the same as long
- 1:25:40Speaker 5: as that's consistent tomorrow. So it sounds to me like
- 1:25:44Speaker 5: Cole Strange is still work in progress at center, and
- 1:25:49Speaker 5: I wonder how much they're way. He's never played center
- 1:25:53Speaker 5: in an NFL game, not even preseason or anything. Uh
- 1:25:57Speaker 5: so maybe this is like a next year project that
- 1:26:00Speaker 5: really start to ramp him up at center. And then
- 1:26:03Speaker 5: Caden Wallace spoke a little bit today and it sounds
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: like he was dealing with some significant injuries you know
- 1:26:10Speaker 5: when he was out, so he's still in the process
- 1:26:13Speaker 5: of getting himself back too.
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: Okay, so don't look for them anytimes.
- 1:26:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I wouldn't expect that, you know, Wallace, I think
- 1:26:21Speaker 5: is maybe possible by the end of the year. And
- 1:26:25Speaker 5: I'm just like, you know, guessing, but I don't necessarily
- 1:26:29Speaker 5: look at it and say they're immediately ready to you know,
- 1:26:32Speaker 5: they're gonna be starting in this game on Sunday.
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: So Deuce was talking about a jovial locker room today,
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: would you said, would you say that that carried on
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: to the field.
- 1:26:43Speaker 5: Well, everyone's in the Christmas spirit. I think that that helps.
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: And I think a lot of the players were pleasantly
- 1:26:49Speaker 5: surprised that it was not that cold outside the last
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: couple of days. I think that's that's been.
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: Too much talk about the weather.
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: That's been the vibe is that it's not it's it's
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: unseasonably warm out there today. You know it's like almost
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: fifty I think, is that right now? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: especially in the sun. Yeah, it was nice.
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: Well that's that's good for them, but as we know,
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: Sunday is going to be a lot different.
- 1:27:14Speaker 5: That's true, that's true. Got to start getting them in
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: like the the igloos or something.
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I got you guys, got your layers that.
- 1:27:22Speaker 3: I'm ready.
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: I'm ready to the press box.
- 1:27:24Speaker 5: Freezy the press box.
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: It's open air. Well people don't know, but it actually
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: press box. It's kind of a weird route or route
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: to get from where the buses leave us off to
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: the press box. It's outdoors and you have to kind
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: of go around the back of the building. So you
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: guys in the backside, you have to be ready. You
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: know you're gonna be cold if you're not dressed right.
- 1:27:46Speaker 5: You also have to be ready to go out there
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: with Bill's mafia, which is right that it's the reporters. No, no,
- 1:27:55Speaker 5: that's also they don't throw stuff at you. I wouldn't
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: put that out in the air. But when you walk,
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: especially after the game, when you're trying to hustle down
- 1:28:02Speaker 5: to locker room and you're literally going through the.
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: Mob, then it's coming traffic out of the game.
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: And Bill's Mafia, as you know, is not afraid to
- 1:28:12Speaker 5: throw some insults towards them.
- 1:28:14Speaker 7: But how do they know your affiliation?
- 1:28:15Speaker 5: It's not like they just they also they know which
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: one they know.
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: They probably they probably know all the guys.
- 1:28:25Speaker 6: When you go to like a college sports game and
- 1:28:27Speaker 6: there's a group of hecklers that have read the whole
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: roster and all the personal.
- 1:28:32Speaker 7: Sales are doing the report.
- 1:28:35Speaker 3: Just doing this. Used to have a guy that worked
- 1:28:38Speaker 3: for us.
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: Leave my woman. That's what they do in high school,
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: We used to have a guy work for us. He
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: had several palsy, so when he walked, you know, it
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: was kind of a struggle. And after one of the games,
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: it snowed like crazy, and where he was walking was
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: really icy and slippery, and he fell and dropped us
- 1:29:00Speaker 3: laptop because he had it, you know, in his arm,
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: and people just kind of walked over him and so
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: where were your gloves? Yeah? Right, They just like making
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: fun of him, so he gets on the plane. I
- 1:29:10Speaker 3: didn't know all this happened, and he opens his laptop
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: and it's just smashed. The poor kid, like what happened?
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: Actually even actually.
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: Ill Eddie Tucks we got when we got back, Shane,
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: did you fool down in Buffalo? It was like three
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: days later? Like you you couldn't help him up?
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: That's mean. Yeah, that's actually mean.
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: But that's that's Buffalo.
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: It might have been that. It might have been the
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: TI log game. Oh yeah, it could might have been
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: the game that we flew home in the bad weather
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: and they got off the plane.
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: They could have been I mean, he didn't have that
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: many seasons with us, and yeah, so that was probably right,
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: all right, anything else you want to bestow upon us?
- 1:30:00Speaker 5: No, No, that was pretty much it.
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: Media behaving today.
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: Media.
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: They gave out the good Guy Award yesterday. Jonathan Jones.
- 1:30:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I had no idea about that.
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: But the good guy he sprung on us.
- 1:30:12Speaker 5: Yeah he's a good guy, no doubt about that. Yeah, nothing, no,
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: nothing really really big.
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: The media on Thursdays, they do not know. Why is that?
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: Why do they just went.
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: On Wednesday and not Thursday and Friday?
- 1:30:25Speaker 5: Well usually Wednesday usually Wednesday is a busier day because
- 1:30:29Speaker 5: Drake Durrod, you know, quarterback, head coach press conferences. Yeah,
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: so there's usually a bigger contingent. I would say, I
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: would want.
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: To encourage the media to come down all days, and
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: so that's.
- 1:30:40Speaker 4: The way they did it in the sixties, So we're
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: going to keep doing it that way. The other team's
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: coaching quarterback would be available on conference calls, right they don't.
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I forgot about that.
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: So I missed that, not the player, but the coach.
- 1:30:54Speaker 5: I thought it was always valuable to get the coach
- 1:30:57Speaker 5: from the other team, especially talking about the players on
- 1:31:01Speaker 5: the Patriots, because you get a little bit more of
- 1:31:03Speaker 5: like a candid response of like you've been scouting these
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: guys the last couple of days, Like what do you
- 1:31:08Speaker 5: actually think of Drake? May you know, I think that's
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: about it.
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: Josh Allen had a really nice comment on Drake. Yeah,
- 1:31:13Speaker 4: you know, like that kind of stuff, and I know
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: that's like, that's what you do. But I think that
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: kind of content Back in the.
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: Day, I might have had a question to two that
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: I threw into a certain Jets coach. You know, gotcha
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: quesch questions.
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: But they didn't like you too much.
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: No, no, Fred and I both know I used to
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: for a while.
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: I used to love the coaches and opposing coaches because
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: you know, not throwing stones. But Bill was not exactly
- 1:31:38Speaker 5: an open book right when they came when it came
- 1:31:40Speaker 5: to football stuff. So to talk to their coaches and
- 1:31:44Speaker 5: I asked them like x's and those questions, they would
- 1:31:47Speaker 5: usually give you pretty color for answers, and it was cool.
- 1:31:50Speaker 5: It was cool to pick their brands about it.
- 1:31:51Speaker 3: Okay, what time is it? Oh? Geez, I just lost
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: track of time here reading emails and listening to Evan.
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: So it is that time of the week?
- 1:32:06Speaker 5: Is that time.
- 1:32:11Speaker 4: On the show?
- 1:32:12Speaker 7: What the show?
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: Snow?
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: It's really dreamy because there's.
- 1:32:18Speaker 8: A game on the road.
- 1:32:22Speaker 9: Separate the boys from the many.
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: Look on the week?
- 1:32:26Speaker 12: Hurry, what's the spread up again?
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: This is the song Jimmy's a Week.
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: We gottas that zaydit.
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: Kind of look you at home?
- 1:32:47Speaker 7: I don't like that, all right, We're gonna need to
- 1:32:50Speaker 7: keep that.
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: Tell you something else we like. There's the picks and
- 1:32:55Speaker 4: the young man to my right is on what I
- 1:32:57Speaker 4: would call.
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: A heater right here for teen in two.
- 1:33:02Speaker 4: Wow, on the heels of like fifteen and one and
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: you absolutely too.
- 1:33:07Speaker 10: Uh.
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: Next was Mike, Alex and Paul at thirteen and three,
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: Fred don't fret monfrere twelve and four, nothing to be ashamed.
- 1:33:18Speaker 3: About it, Yeah, but still bringing up the rear.
- 1:33:20Speaker 4: Correct, that's an F and the curve with the spread Evan,
- 1:33:28Speaker 4: Paul and Fred eleven and five, Alex nine and seven,
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: Mike eight and eight.
- 1:33:36Speaker 8: You're struggling with the spread, misread.
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, so you touch.
- 1:33:39Speaker 4: All right, Let's see if I can do this right
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: the first time. Now the overall Evan one fifty eight
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: and sixty six, Alex one fifty two and seventy two,
- 1:33:50Speaker 4: Paul one, forty nine and seventy five, Mike one forty
- 1:33:55Speaker 4: eight and seventy six, Fred one forty five and seventy nine.
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: Well all behind.
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: There, Yeah.
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: Poop emoji which reminds me jeweles. Make sure I send
- 1:34:05Speaker 4: those to you today.
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: With the spread Evan one twenty eight, ninety two and four,
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: Fred second one twenty six, ninety four and four, Paul
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: one twenty five, ninety five and four, Mike won twenty three,
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: ninety seven and four. And poop emoji Alex one eighteen
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: one oh, two and four is what happened?
- 1:34:28Speaker 10: You were?
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: You were?
- 1:34:29Speaker 4: He was running away with friends.
- 1:34:31Speaker 8: Well, listen, look at this, look at him.
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: I mean, it wasn't. That wasn't that wasn't destined to
- 1:34:38Speaker 4: a last Come.
- 1:34:40Speaker 8: On, hurtful. I appreciate it. That's good, that's good stuff.
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: All right, let's go Thursday night.
- 1:34:47Speaker 4: Oh I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I have one more update
- 1:34:50Speaker 4: to add. Oh my folks, this is your lock of
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: the week. It picks once again, went one and one
- 1:34:57Speaker 4: for Fred. He won with newallans correct, taking the seven
- 1:35:00Speaker 4: and a half points. Courageous He lost, however, by picking
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: the Patriots out right and stupid two and three on
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: this ship.
- 1:35:09Speaker 3: I wouldn't call it that was a giveaway pick. I
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: wouldn't call that a courageous pick that I'm going down
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: with the ship. Captain must go down with his ship,
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: all right. Eight fifteen, Thursday Night. Good matchup nine and
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: five Broncos against the eight and six Chargers. Big playoff
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: implications here.
- 1:35:28Speaker 4: The lack by two and a half.
- 1:35:30Speaker 12: Woh, that's a close spread.
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: It's a tough one. We gotta hurry.
- 1:35:34Speaker 12: Yeah, this is a close one. I'm gonna take the
- 1:35:35Speaker 12: lack at home. We gotta hurry and I'm gonna I'm
- 1:35:38Speaker 12: gonna lay the two and a half. I was tempted
- 1:35:40Speaker 12: by the four and a half, but I'm gonna lay
- 1:35:41Speaker 12: the two and a half.
- 1:35:42Speaker 5: Yeah, black Lack, so Fred. Even though the Broncos are
- 1:35:48Speaker 5: on the road, this is essentially a Denver home game
- 1:35:50Speaker 5: because that crowd is it really is.
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: Yeah, right, if you're gonna put him on the road,
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: put him in so far so it's like a home game. Yeah,
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: it's unbelievable. Never fails.
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: Everyone just throws Kerosene on the fire.
- 1:36:05Speaker 5: This is a tough one. The Chargers defense got shredded
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: last week by Baker Mayfield. I wasn't expecting that. I'm
- 1:36:11Speaker 5: gonna take the Chargers, though, I'll take them both ways.
- 1:36:14Speaker 5: I think this is a bounced back game for that
- 1:36:16Speaker 5: defense against a rookie quarterback.
- 1:36:19Speaker 4: So I'm gonna take Denver, damn it. I think I'll
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: be rooting for the Whack, but I think Denver's will
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: playing a little bit better right now.
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: Yeah, this is where Paul, You're right, Denver wins this game.
- 1:36:33Speaker 4: I'm not that right. I'm in the middle of but
- 1:36:36Speaker 4: this is where.
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: The feel for the league comes into play, and if
- 1:36:38Speaker 3: you truly do have a feel for the league, you
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: pick Denver in this game. So and that's what I'm
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: gonna do.
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: That's what I'm gonna have one for all right.
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: We got a couple of games on Saturday, the first
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: ones at one o'clock and NBC Telemundo in Universo. The
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: nine to five Texans are at the thirteen and one Chiefs.
- 1:36:59Speaker 4: No Peacock.
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: Oh and he got come on.
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: I hadn't realized it was on Texans at Chiefs beautiful
- 1:37:06Speaker 4: spread here Kansas City by three and a half.
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: They know what they know at home three and a half.
- 1:37:13Speaker 12: That means even what's the latest on ma homie.
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: We're still in I wonder what they do. Think he's
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: trying to play. I think he's planning on playing.
- 1:37:24Speaker 8: You know what. I'm gonna take Houston in this one.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: Oh right, yep, Wow.
- 1:37:29Speaker 12: I think homes a little GIMPI just knocks them off
- 1:37:32Speaker 12: of their style of how they've been winning, and Houston's
- 1:37:35Speaker 12: needs it.
- 1:37:36Speaker 8: I'm gonna go Houston.
- 1:37:36Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: Is for the Chiefs of the Bills.
- 1:37:39Speaker 4: I'm gonna split the baby, casey take.
- 1:37:43Speaker 3: The point, is that a real thing?
- 1:37:44Speaker 6: I know we say, right, yeah, the Bible story where yeah,
- 1:37:51Speaker 6: I'm not going to get into it, but.
- 1:37:52Speaker 8: Yeah, sounds violent.
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: It is.
- 1:37:58Speaker 4: That's why it's real now the Old Testaments.
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: Football.
- 1:38:05Speaker 5: I uh so, First of all, I'm usually on Paul's
- 1:38:08Speaker 5: side of the street when it comes to like the Reps.
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: I don't think favor of the Chiefs as much as
- 1:38:12Speaker 5: everybody else does. Mahomes though, Mahomes is kind of a
- 1:38:16Speaker 5: little baby like he does this all the time or
- 1:38:18Speaker 5: he's like, oh my ankle, and then like he's totally fine.
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: Chiefs Chiefs. I think Mahomes plays and I think that
- 1:38:24Speaker 5: they win the game.
- 1:38:26Speaker 8: It's hard argue with him. He's on a bender.
- 1:38:30Speaker 4: I'm just gonna stick with my trends. I'm gonna take
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: Kansas City to win the game, but I'll take the hook.
- 1:38:35Speaker 4: I have not lost on the Kansas City spread in
- 1:38:38Speaker 4: a while. I'm gonna take take the hook.
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: I'm actually hoping the Chiefs win this game, and I'm
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: picking the Chiefs to win this game. And the reason
- 1:38:48Speaker 3: why I'm hoping the Chiefs win because if they lose
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: and they get that second loss, it's gonna make the
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: Bills play that much tougher, and it's gonna be that
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: much harder for the Patriots to pull off the upset.
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: I'm hoping the Chiefs win to keep that two game cushions.
- 1:39:02Speaker 4: See, I'm hoping they do that too, because that will
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: eliminate the possibility, if they can win the next game,
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: right of them moving the last game right game time?
- 1:39:11Speaker 4: All right, casey both ways?
- 1:39:13Speaker 3: Yes, Saturday four thirty, Denver, Fox and Fox Deportes. The
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: ten and four Steelers are at the nine and four Ravens.
- 1:39:23Speaker 4: So this game is on Fox. You said, yes, it
- 1:39:25Speaker 4: is Ravens by six and a half.
- 1:39:28Speaker 8: Big spread, big big spread Steelers.
- 1:39:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:39:32Speaker 12: George Pickens has been out and I think T. J.
- 1:39:35Speaker 8: Watt was back at practice this week.
- 1:39:36Speaker 12: But you know what I'm I think Pittsburgh will start
- 1:39:40Speaker 12: trending down. I'm gonna take Balltimore and I'm gonna actually
- 1:39:44Speaker 12: lay all six and a half points too.
- 1:39:46Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 1:39:47Speaker 12: You know I'm local.
- 1:39:51Speaker 7: The baby again.
- 1:39:52Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, I'm gonna do the same thing as Alex
- 1:39:57Speaker 5: Division game. They always play each other to. I think
- 1:40:00Speaker 5: Ravens win, but Steelers, Steelers cover.
- 1:40:03Speaker 4: Yeah, Pittsburgh owns Baltimore for whatever reason. But I kind
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: of think I'm gonna go Baltimore both ways. I think
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: Juice is onto something here. I feel like Pittsburgh might
- 1:40:13Speaker 4: start unraveling. They did not look good in that game
- 1:40:16Speaker 4: last week.
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna do the same thing as Alex and
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: Evan split the Baby Ravens win, but they do not cover. Still,
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: give me I got I gotta give my respect to
- 1:40:27Speaker 3: the Steelers. So all right, Now we move to Sunday
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: one o'clock on Fox. The two and twelve Giants are
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: at the seven and seven Falcons with Michael Pennox Michael
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: Big game.
- 1:40:40Speaker 4: Falcons by eight and a half.
- 1:40:43Speaker 12: Oh geez, that sounds like a lot of points.
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: Eight and a half.
- 1:40:46Speaker 8: Yeah, I'll take Atlanta.
- 1:40:47Speaker 12: I'll take those points. Though for the Giants is figure
- 1:40:49Speaker 12: it'll be close mistakes from a rookie quarterback in his
- 1:40:52Speaker 12: first start.
- 1:40:53Speaker 7: Yeah, My thinking is the same as Mike's.
- 1:40:56Speaker 5: I would love to see the Giants win this game
- 1:40:59Speaker 5: for the sake the draft pick. But I am gonna
- 1:41:01Speaker 5: say Atlanta wins. But I agree with the the board
- 1:41:04Speaker 5: over there. I think that a rookie quarterback in his
- 1:41:07Speaker 5: first start, I don't see him covering that spread.
- 1:41:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I am going to take Atlanta both ways. I
- 1:41:12Speaker 4: think they're going to get a jolt from the rookie
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: quarterback coming in and the Giants are done.
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: One thing Dave Oll did learn from Bill Belichick is
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: how to coach against a rookie quarterback.
- 1:41:25Speaker 4: Falcons win, but don't cover right exactly. You got it, Fox.
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: At one o'clock, the seven and seven Cardinals coming off
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: a huge win against the three and eleven Panthers.
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: Arizona by four and a half.
- 1:41:45Speaker 8: It's an interesting little game.
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: Here, interesting little game. Interesting.
- 1:41:50Speaker 12: Yeah, I'm gonna take Arizona to win, but I'll take
- 1:41:54Speaker 12: those points are Carolina. Let's put the baby me too.
- 1:42:04Speaker 5: This is a weird one. I'm gonna take Arizona both ways.
- 1:42:06Speaker 5: I just think they're a better team. And the Carolina
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: Panthers let me down last week big time. I thought
- 1:42:11Speaker 5: that they played terribly against the Cowboys to get blown
- 1:42:13Speaker 5: out like that.
- 1:42:14Speaker 4: They really did, but I say they bounced back. I'm
- 1:42:16Speaker 4: gonna take Arizona to win the game, but Panthers keep
- 1:42:19Speaker 4: it close, folks.
- 1:42:22Speaker 3: As a lot of teams do when after playing the Patriots.
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: They have a letdown. So I'm gonna go Panthers outright
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: to win this game. Not a lock, though, that's not
- 1:42:30Speaker 3: your lock now, not one of my One o'clock on Fox,
- 1:42:34Speaker 3: the twelve and two Lions are at the four and
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: ten Bears.
- 1:42:39Speaker 4: Detroit by six and a half.
- 1:42:41Speaker 8: Oh dear, do you feel bad for Chicago on this one.
- 1:42:44Speaker 12: I'm gonna take Detroit all of the points.
- 1:42:47Speaker 7: Me too, a little bounce back for the Lions.
- 1:42:49Speaker 5: I'm starting to feel a little sympathy for Kayleb Williams
- 1:42:52Speaker 5: at this point, like he just looks so defeated, his
- 1:42:54Speaker 5: body language, all that kind of stuff. I agree, Detroit
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: color Detroit, Detroit definitely. And I don't know what's gonna
- 1:43:01Speaker 5: happen with Caleb. You know he's got a long way
- 1:43:04Speaker 5: to go.
- 1:43:05Speaker 4: I'm gonna take Detroit both ways.
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: Also, yeah, I'm gonna take Detroit both ways as well.
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: Now see, if I wasn't courageous, I could say, oh,
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: this is my lock, but this is too easy, so
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: I don't do that. I don't do the easy ones
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: as locks.
- 1:43:19Speaker 5: It's very big of you, fearless leader.
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: One o'clock CBS, the three and eleven Titans are at
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: the six and eight Colts.
- 1:43:28Speaker 5: Mason Rudolph Right.
- 1:43:29Speaker 4: Yeah, indeed by three and a half. Yes, we'll Levi's
- 1:43:33Speaker 4: was benched again.
- 1:43:34Speaker 8: Yeah, that's gross, klutts. I don't want to watch this game.
- 1:43:39Speaker 12: I'll take the Colts at home, and I'll just i'll
- 1:43:42Speaker 12: lay the points when.
- 1:43:43Speaker 7: On Colts Colts, I guess.
- 1:43:47Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I'm going to take the Colts both ways.
- 1:43:51Speaker 5: I just they both kind of stink. But I think
- 1:43:53Speaker 5: the Colt stink less.
- 1:43:55Speaker 4: I would agree with that, and I know, go with
- 1:43:58Speaker 4: the same pick both ways.
- 1:44:00Speaker 3: I think the Titans have been mandated to lose. I
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: think they they really they don't want to win. CBS
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: one o'clock, the eight and six Rams are at the
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: four and ten Jets.
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: The lar by three.
- 1:44:16Speaker 12: Still, Yeah, I'm gonna take that one. I'll take the Rams.
- 1:44:18Speaker 12: I'll lay the points.
- 1:44:20Speaker 5: ROMs ROMs like by three, Like have they watched the
- 1:44:25Speaker 5: Jets this year? Rams, Rams like, come on, give me
- 1:44:29Speaker 5: a break.
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: Offense has been good the last two weeks. Yeah, okay,
- 1:44:33Speaker 4: I'm just saying.
- 1:44:34Speaker 5: I know, it's just it's annoying. Jets get so much respect.
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: I'll take the both ways.
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: I'm gonna take the Jets to cover. They get the
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: right and Clark bounce this week. Uh so that's my
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: lock of the week, folks. Jets cover against the Rams.
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: Oh, Jets cover. Lock of the week.
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: Been a different little ap That's courageous, right.
- 1:45:01Speaker 4: You are nothing if not courageous.
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: One o'clock on Fox.
- 1:45:05Speaker 4: You're put up with me for twenty six years.
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: The twelve and two Eagles are at the nine and
- 1:45:09Speaker 3: five Commanders.
- 1:45:11Speaker 4: The Eagles by three and a half.
- 1:45:13Speaker 5: Good game.
- 1:45:15Speaker 8: I like that.
- 1:45:16Speaker 12: I like that.
- 1:45:17Speaker 8: I like the Eagles.
- 1:45:18Speaker 12: I like the Eagles in this one, and I'm gonna
- 1:45:20Speaker 12: lay the points too, Philly, Philly.
- 1:45:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I like the Eagles both ways. In this game too.
- 1:45:26Speaker 5: Feels a little bit like the Baltimore Chargers game, where
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: it's just like one team is just kind of in
- 1:45:31Speaker 5: a different class, even though the Commanders have had a
- 1:45:33Speaker 5: nice season.
- 1:45:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I've thought a lot about taking that hook, but
- 1:45:36Speaker 4: I'm not going to. The Eagles are playing too well,
- 1:45:39Speaker 4: and I think Washington's offense is going down. The Eagles
- 1:45:42Speaker 4: defense is going up.
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: Classic Cliff Eagles, Eagles both ways, Class one o'clock CBS
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: three and eleven Browns at the six and eight Bengals.
- 1:45:53Speaker 4: Fred's Bengals by seven and a half.
- 1:45:56Speaker 12: And Dacey Jamis is out.
- 1:45:57Speaker 4: Now it's DTR's DTR right, Yeah, he's got benched.
- 1:46:01Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah, all right, I'm gonna take Cinci.
- 1:46:03Speaker 4: Oh really, everyone told me he was because I'm like,
- 1:46:05Speaker 4: I'm like unlike the national media who suddenly decided he's
- 1:46:08Speaker 4: not a bad guy. He is a good player. He
- 1:46:11Speaker 4: got benched like four.
- 1:46:12Speaker 12: Games Cincinnati both ways since he since he.
- 1:46:20Speaker 4: So.
- 1:46:20Speaker 5: I do think Burrow is a little banged up in
- 1:46:22Speaker 5: this game as well. But I'm still gonna take the
- 1:46:23Speaker 5: Bengals both ways. And the Bengals they don't really have
- 1:46:27Speaker 5: a chance to make the playoffs, right, they do.
- 1:46:29Speaker 4: But they need they need you know, he they need help.
- 1:46:32Speaker 5: I don't know. It's so Bengals.
- 1:46:34Speaker 4: They're probably gonna go nine to eight, but they're gonna
- 1:46:36Speaker 4: need help. I'm definitely taking the Bengals to win the game.
- 1:46:41Speaker 4: I'm gonna tell I'm gonna lay the points to I
- 1:46:43Speaker 4: I don't like laying more than a touchdown with that
- 1:46:46Speaker 4: Bengals defense though, I don't care who's playing for Cleveland,
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: but I'm gonna do it Cincinnati both ways.
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: I gotta go Bengals both ways as much as it
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: kills me. Yeah, four, four, five on Fox, twelve and
- 1:47:00Speaker 3: two Vikings at the eight and six Seahawks.
- 1:47:05Speaker 4: Uh Minnesota by three.
- 1:47:09Speaker 12: Minnesota by three, maeah man, they're rolling. Its just it's
- 1:47:12Speaker 12: just hard to pick against Minnesota. I'm gonna take them
- 1:47:14Speaker 12: on laya points in Seattle, me too.
- 1:47:18Speaker 5: Coach of the Year Kevin O'Connell, and I don't think
- 1:47:20Speaker 5: it's really particularly close. I mean, the go twelve and
- 1:47:22Speaker 5: two with Sam Darnold is incredible. I'm gonna take the
- 1:47:26Speaker 5: Vikings both ways in this game.
- 1:47:27Speaker 4: Okay, everybody took Minnesota both ways. Yes I am as well.
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: You didn't ask me, you're after me, Okay, So now
- 1:47:36Speaker 3: I'm gonna take the Vikings both ways. Okay, okay. Four
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: to twenty five, three and eleven Jaguars at the two
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: and twelve Raiders.
- 1:47:47Speaker 5: Big game, big, big, big game.
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: This big draft game.
- 1:47:51Speaker 4: Rough Vegas by one.
- 1:47:57Speaker 3: So so if the Patriots end in a time with
- 1:48:00Speaker 3: the Raiders, who gets.
- 1:48:01Speaker 5: The ads the strength of schedule stuff.
- 1:48:06Speaker 12: I'm gonna I'm gonna make this a Patriots pick. I'm
- 1:48:08Speaker 12: gonna take Jacksonville. I can't believe I'm doing it, but
- 1:48:11Speaker 12: I think be good for the Pats. Jot pick take it.
- 1:48:15Speaker 6: I'm gonna take the Raiders, but it's like a coin
- 1:48:18Speaker 6: flip one for me.
- 1:48:20Speaker 5: I am going to take the Raiders as well. Although
- 1:48:22Speaker 5: they stink. I think they are still playing hard, as
- 1:48:26Speaker 5: Paul likes to say, I still have.
- 1:48:29Speaker 4: One of the rare teams that's actually playing hard.
- 1:48:31Speaker 5: I feel like against Atlanta, like that should have been
- 1:48:34Speaker 5: a blowout, and they kind of lingered.
- 1:48:35Speaker 4: They lingered that game.
- 1:48:38Speaker 5: So I'm gonna take the Raiders in this game, and
- 1:48:40Speaker 5: I don't know why other than.
- 1:48:41Speaker 4: That, I'm gonna take the Raiders as well.
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: Me too. Raiders.
- 1:48:45Speaker 5: The fact that you and I watched that game, Paul,
- 1:48:47Speaker 5: it says a lot about her.
- 1:48:48Speaker 4: I couldn't I just couldn't sleep.
- 1:48:50Speaker 3: Four five CBS, six and eight forty nine ers at
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: the six and eight Dolphins.
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: Miami by one.
- 1:48:59Speaker 5: That's a cool game.
- 1:49:00Speaker 8: That's a cool game.
- 1:49:00Speaker 12: I'm gonna play the trends though, Miami. It's only good
- 1:49:03Speaker 12: against bad teams, and I guess San Francisco bad team
- 1:49:05Speaker 12: this year.
- 1:49:05Speaker 8: So I'm gonna take Miami.
- 1:49:06Speaker 12: La the point, I'm gonna go with the Sharps.
- 1:49:09Speaker 7: I'm gonna go with the Niners.
- 1:49:11Speaker 5: Oh, I do think the Niners are better, but Miami
- 1:49:16Speaker 5: at home is usually a pretty good cross country trip
- 1:49:19Speaker 5: for San Francisco. So I'm gonna I'm gonna take the
- 1:49:22Speaker 5: Dolphins and uh brock perty A not good. Not good.
- 1:49:26Speaker 5: So I'm gonna take Miami.
- 1:49:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna take Miami. Two. I think that the
- 1:49:30Speaker 4: Niners had Super Bowl aspirations and they now realize those
- 1:49:34Speaker 4: are gone, and they go across the country, like Evan said,
- 1:49:37Speaker 4: and lose Dolphins.
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: I'm gonna take the Dolphins as well. Okay, Now we
- 1:49:42Speaker 3: skip over the Patriots at four twenty five, and we
- 1:49:47Speaker 3: go to eight and twenty Sunday Night on NBC Universo
- 1:49:51Speaker 3: and Telexito's and Peacock and Peacock, the eight and six
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: Buccaneers against these six and eight Cowboys. The league starting
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: to realize what I've realized a long time ago. The
- 1:50:03Speaker 3: league is better with Baker Mayfield in it.
- 1:50:06Speaker 12: Yeah, definitely.
- 1:50:09Speaker 4: When when was the last time he wasn't in it?
- 1:50:10Speaker 4: Since he got in it, the league it's a better
- 1:50:13Speaker 4: league with BA Tampa by three and a half.
- 1:50:15Speaker 8: I'm gonna take Baker and I'll take Tampa Bay.
- 1:50:18Speaker 3: I lay the points, Tampa Bay by ten and a half,
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: three and a half. Oh three and a half, Okay, okay.
- 1:50:25Speaker 5: So the fact that the dabtless Cowboys are on Sunday
- 1:50:27Speaker 5: Night Football still and the fact that they're only a
- 1:50:30Speaker 5: three and a half point underdog still is crazy. Buccaneers Buccaneers.
- 1:50:36Speaker 5: Liam Cohne, the Bucks offensive coordinator. He's going to be
- 1:50:39Speaker 5: in head coaching candidate very soon, maybe even this cycle.
- 1:50:43Speaker 3: Well, you know why, it's three and a half. They're
- 1:50:45Speaker 3: trying to bring in the Tampa money.
- 1:50:46Speaker 5: Well, I don't see how you could watch these two
- 1:50:50Speaker 5: teams and think that Dallas is going to be closed
- 1:50:53Speaker 5: in this game. That's just my opinion, though.
- 1:50:54Speaker 3: You're probably right.
- 1:50:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll take Tampa both ways.
- 1:50:58Speaker 3: Yeah, me too. Baker may Field, Let Baker bake.
- 1:51:01Speaker 8: Baker bake right, Paul absolutely got our guy.
- 1:51:04Speaker 3: I think he's pretty good.
- 1:51:05Speaker 4: I don't. That's when we actually disagree.
- 1:51:08Speaker 5: But you don't think Baker is good.
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: Alex a try hard guy. He doesn't like try hard.
- 1:51:15Speaker 4: He's Baker Mayfield mid.
- 1:51:17Speaker 5: He's had like multiple offensive coordinators.
- 1:51:20Speaker 4: I know gonna, I'm gonna just pound it into the ground.
- 1:51:23Speaker 5: He's a good player, Fine, Fine.
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: He doesn't like him because he tries He's a fine bridge.
- 1:51:29Speaker 4: I mean Sam Donald's had a great year too. I
- 1:51:31Speaker 4: think he's mid. I think they're very similar guys, Bakers
- 1:51:34Speaker 4: better come on, Oh he had a better year.
- 1:51:37Speaker 3: Come on. Yes, I took Buccaneers both ways. Monday Night,
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: eight fifteen, ESPN, ABC, ESPN Deportes, the five and nine
- 1:51:47Speaker 3: Saints are at the ten and four Packers.
- 1:51:50Speaker 4: It was a good one for you.
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: Scenes they front loaded all the good games this week.
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: Packed by fourteen fourteen. But with all the nonsensical flexing
- 1:51:58Speaker 4: they do, why didn't they flex any of these games?
- 1:52:01Speaker 12: Fourteen pointer on definitely take Green Bay to win and
- 1:52:05Speaker 12: Sugar Yeah, I'm gonna lay the points Dome team going
- 1:52:08Speaker 12: outside late decemmer Cane.
- 1:52:12Speaker 4: Or or whoever. I don't even Spencer, Spencer Rattler, Archie
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: Manning arch.
- 1:52:20Speaker 5: I usually don't like taking those monster spreads like this.
- 1:52:24Speaker 5: It makes me nervous.
- 1:52:25Speaker 4: I'm going to do it twice this week, but.
- 1:52:26Speaker 5: I'm gonna do it again. I'm gonna do it again.
- 1:52:29Speaker 5: I think the Packers are good team. I like I
- 1:52:32Speaker 5: just like the Packers. I like how they're built. Like
- 1:52:34Speaker 5: the team.
- 1:52:34Speaker 4: Jordan Love is another one of those quarterbacks that would
- 1:52:36Speaker 4: have been in that group. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Green Bay.
- 1:52:39Speaker 4: I will take with the the crew here.
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: Underdog cover of the week.
- 1:52:46Speaker 4: Different.
- 1:52:46Speaker 3: The Saints cover this spread. They don't win, but they
- 1:52:49Speaker 3: do cover. That's your underdog underdog cover law.
- 1:52:54Speaker 4: You have to two of those jobs. I do have
- 1:52:57Speaker 4: to both underdog covers. Okay, okay, okay, you could do
- 1:53:01Speaker 4: whatever you want, two locks of the same ILK. I love,
- 1:53:05Speaker 4: I love. Like late in the Thursday show when we're
- 1:53:07Speaker 4: doing the picks and you look in the in the
- 1:53:09Speaker 4: mirror and you look in the glass rather than whit
- 1:53:11Speaker 4: Alex is just like dying, rapping at our stupidity, Like
- 1:53:16Speaker 4: these guys are really talking about this in these terms.
- 1:53:19Speaker 8: Okay, now that's part of the week.
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: We go back to four to twenty five, back but
- 1:53:25Speaker 3: back to four twenty five right on CBS, the three
- 1:53:28Speaker 3: and eleven Patriots at the eleven and three Bills, Buffalo
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: by fourteen.
- 1:53:35Speaker 12: Oh that's a lot. Yeah, I'm gonna take Buffalo not
- 1:53:39Speaker 12: to win and unfortunate, I'm gonna I'm gonna lay the points.
- 1:53:42Speaker 12: I mean that the Patriots can't score thirty points. Buffalo
- 1:53:45Speaker 12: scores three points every week. So that's the bottom line
- 1:53:48Speaker 12: for me. I'm gonna take Buffalo, lay the points. My
- 1:53:52Speaker 12: score prediction is not important. No, no, predicted Buffalo.
- 1:53:56Speaker 5: Buffalo the safest thing, honestly, forty one seven. I have
- 1:54:01Speaker 5: a tough time envisioning the Patriots defense having a chance
- 1:54:05Speaker 5: in this game to slow down Josh Allen. It would
- 1:54:07Speaker 5: have to be an uncharacteristically bad Josh Allen game.
- 1:54:11Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:54:11Speaker 5: The forty six and a half total though, looks nice
- 1:54:14Speaker 5: because like the Bills are probably gonna score forty one
- 1:54:16Speaker 5: of the forty six, right, so you're gonna get over it.
- 1:54:19Speaker 5: So I'm I'm going forty one seventeen Buffalo. It's a
- 1:54:23Speaker 5: couple late touchdown drives like last week for the Patriots
- 1:54:26Speaker 5: to make this thing look better.
- 1:54:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm a little worried about the late touchdown thing
- 1:54:30Speaker 4: to do the back door cover, but I'm gonna lay
- 1:54:33Speaker 4: the points. I just think there's too much offense. I'm
- 1:54:35Speaker 4: with I'm with you, guys. I'm gonna go thirty four
- 1:54:38Speaker 4: to sixteen.
- 1:54:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Unfortunately, the Bills do win on a back door cover.
- 1:54:45Speaker 12: Oh, get that late touchdown put them.
- 1:54:51Speaker 3: So it's more competitive game than Paul thinks it will be.
- 1:54:56Speaker 12: Why, hey, everybody else, you don't think it's gonna be competitive.
- 1:55:00Speaker 10: Me.
- 1:55:00Speaker 4: No, I don't.
- 1:55:02Speaker 7: Here's what you can give the score prediction.
- 1:55:04Speaker 3: Yeah, thirty five twenty.
- 1:55:07Speaker 4: We haven't picked forty one to seventeen while you.
- 1:55:09Speaker 3: Become thirty five twenty Bills win this game.
- 1:55:12Speaker 5: Honest.
- 1:55:14Speaker 3: We actually have a little bit of time in this game,
- 1:55:19Speaker 3: I mean and left in the show before we moved
- 1:55:21Speaker 3: to the catch twenty two. So any closing thoughts as
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: we move into uh, this game in Buffalo.
- 1:55:27Speaker 5: I am surprised that he didn't bring up Jimney. Seeing
- 1:55:30Speaker 5: Josh Allen on Sunday, I thought that that would be,
- 1:55:32Speaker 5: you know, right up your alleyies.
- 1:55:34Speaker 7: I didn't want to tease you too much.
- 1:55:36Speaker 8: Well, Paul, maybe we should tease.
- 1:55:38Speaker 4: I could just get just real question. These are I
- 1:55:40Speaker 4: didn't do like extensive research on it, but I did
- 1:55:43Speaker 4: look back at the defense the breakdown last year between
- 1:55:46Speaker 4: the starters and the backups. So they had eleven games
- 1:55:49Speaker 4: against starters, they allowed twenty five point five points per
- 1:55:52Speaker 4: game in three hundred and twenty nine yards per game
- 1:55:54Speaker 4: in those games. With the six games they played against backups,
- 1:55:59Speaker 4: they allow fourteen point three points a game and only
- 1:56:02Speaker 4: two hundred and fifty three yards passing, So there was
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: a significant difference between when they played starters and when
- 1:56:08Speaker 4: they played backups. You know their average for the season,
- 1:56:12Speaker 4: they allowed twenty one and a half points per game.
- 1:56:14Speaker 4: Against the eleven starters, it was twenty five and a
- 1:56:17Speaker 4: half points a game. So it was no small, insignificant
- 1:56:21Speaker 4: fact that they played so many backup quarterbacks. And I,
- 1:56:24Speaker 4: even as magnanimous as I am deuce, I counted the
- 1:56:27Speaker 4: Raiders game as a starter. Even though Garoppolo left that
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: game early and Brian Boyer played the rest of the game.
- 1:56:33Speaker 4: Who's the backup? I counted that as a starter. What
- 1:56:39Speaker 4: I'm nothing if not I even I counted the Bengals,
- 1:56:42Speaker 4: I mean the Chargers game, which was by far the
- 1:56:46Speaker 4: season low against real quarterbacks six points and two hundred
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: and forty one yards total offense in the pouring rain.
- 1:56:53Speaker 4: I counted that because I'm nothing if not fair.
- 1:56:57Speaker 12: I was just gonna tease the pre pre and post
- 1:56:59Speaker 12: game show the week, we'll have a little change up.
- 1:57:01Speaker 4: Why don't you do that?
- 1:57:02Speaker 12: That hardy Hearty's back, so tune in two o'clock.
- 1:57:07Speaker 4: You get stuck, You get stuck. I had no idea
- 1:57:10Speaker 4: Matt's going with you this week.
- 1:57:11Speaker 12: This was Matt's other out and he's going to Buffalo,
- 1:57:14Speaker 12: so yeah, Hardy will be back two o'clock o'clock someday.
- 1:57:18Speaker 3: I had no idea to yeah, Matt's because Sony asked me,
- 1:57:21Speaker 3: what's on the road. MAT's on the road. Who's hosting?
- 1:57:23Speaker 3: I go, I gets douse will just fill in, No.
- 1:57:25Speaker 4: We got to.
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: I can't even watch of course.
- 1:57:31Speaker 12: Well the pregame Warks will be something to watch though,
- 1:57:33Speaker 12: with the cold weather, and we'll see we'll do like
- 1:57:35Speaker 12: Cold Factor, who looks cold, who doesn't look cold?
- 1:57:37Speaker 4: Maybe we'll get a call in from from no socks.
- 1:57:39Speaker 8: I'll be great.
- 1:57:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I am excited for road.
- 1:57:44Speaker 3: You can watch the warm ups and then talk about them.
- 1:57:49Speaker 4: Yes, party yeah, yeah, kind of like the music is
- 1:57:53Speaker 4: that what you were doing?
- 1:57:54Speaker 3: Okay, you can play the music whatever some time.
- 1:58:00Speaker 7: And what's that our new off season project?
- 1:58:02Speaker 5: Which is.
- 1:58:06Speaker 7: Your go to carry?
- 1:58:07Speaker 5: So get ready for that smash mouth?
- 1:58:09Speaker 3: Okay.
