- 0:49Speaker 1: Where I keep hitting the wrong buttons and somebody else,
- 0:57Speaker 1: uh celebrated too early for the Super Bowl.
- 0:59Speaker 2: And lost it all. It's Sports Allegedly.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, Thank you all for joining us for
- 1:06Speaker 3: this late night edition kind of like after dark edition.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Thank you for this episode of Sports Allegedly. We're coming
- 1:15Speaker 3: to you live on the Damn Love Love February fourteenth,
- 1:23Speaker 3: twenty twenty five. And we got so much to talk about.
- 1:25Speaker 3: We'll get an MBA. We got a lot of free
- 1:27Speaker 3: agency talk. But let's recap that super Bowl that obviously
- 1:32Speaker 3: we're the last ones to recap it. Everyone's been able
- 1:35Speaker 3: to recap it because it was Sunday.
- 1:36Speaker 1: We're a week. Yeah, I should I should have brought
- 1:38Speaker 1: the computer.
- 1:39Speaker 2: We should have done it that much.
- 1:40Speaker 1: We should have.
- 1:40Speaker 3: But I mean, so, I mean, what hasn't anybody said, Sean,
- 1:44Speaker 3: you got anything that nobody hasn't said. I mean to
- 1:46Speaker 3: go over the whole.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I mean, well, I mean you had Kansas City getting
- 1:53Speaker 1: beat by never being blitzed. I don't know if you
- 1:57Speaker 1: saw that statistic and a couple of I think, no, no,
- 2:01Speaker 1: there there Philadelphia beat them on a three or four men.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I think statistic I think there was zero blitz They
- 2:08Speaker 3: did a lot of stunts and stuff and well.
- 2:10Speaker 2: But there were no blitzes.
- 2:11Speaker 1: And if you remember when Braun got that interception, he
- 2:15Speaker 1: was just setting there spying.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Oh that was just a bad pass.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Well he didn't know that Broun was setting there spying,
- 2:22Speaker 1: like I guess he was covered up by somebody. Bron
- 2:25Speaker 1: just came out. And you remember that Bron's been a
- 2:27Speaker 1: battled player for the last few seasons, just a backup.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Talking about the Saints, he was a backup special teams
- 2:34Speaker 3: guy comes over.
- 2:35Speaker 1: And and middle linebacker.
- 2:38Speaker 3: And uh does It's great for the Eagles, But I
- 2:43Speaker 3: you know, I thought when you started a game, I
- 2:45Speaker 3: thought Kansas City looked flat. Then they turned around, Philadelphia scored.
- 2:52Speaker 3: They flat, well, Philadelphia scored, and then it's it's like
- 2:56Speaker 3: the first quarter. Okay, it's seven to nothing, and then
- 2:59Speaker 3: you just start seeing the wheels fall off. By the
- 3:01Speaker 3: time it's you know, halftime, it's twenty four to seven.
- 3:04Speaker 3: I thought the big thing that I saw was on
- 3:08Speaker 3: the offensive side. You know, I have to a no.
- 3:10Speaker 3: At halftime it was no, no, I'm talking about the first
- 3:12Speaker 3: half offensive size zero. I said, I'm sorry, I said seven,
- 3:17Speaker 3: but it's twenty four zero. But I thought offensively, I
- 3:19Speaker 3: thought the uh and and I must admit that I'm wrong.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I mean, Hurts played a hell of a game. What
- 3:24Speaker 3: Kansas City done defensively was hey, let's stop Saquon, best
- 3:28Speaker 3: running back.
- 3:28Speaker 1: In the league. And they did. They focused, they did,
- 3:31Speaker 1: they focused on that. I think a little too.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Much they did, and there was no adjustments in the
- 3:35Speaker 3: second half. But I thought the first half, you know,
- 3:37Speaker 3: Hurts made the plays that happened. His legs was what
- 3:42Speaker 3: I saw more out of him that I'd seen most
- 3:45Speaker 3: of the end. Maybe that was the seat. Who knows.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I mean, he just and you know, third down to fishing.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I was talking about it. Third and twelve is what
- 3:53Speaker 3: I see statistically, But I saw some of the biggest
- 3:56Speaker 3: third downs was him the two running, the two running,
- 4:00Speaker 3: and then he had the one pass for like nine
- 4:03Speaker 3: yards I think it was third and eight or something.
- 4:05Speaker 2: He did not get out.
- 4:07Speaker 1: He did not break out like he had in the
- 4:09Speaker 1: previous two games.
- 4:10Speaker 3: And then you turn around you look at Vic Vangio,
- 4:11Speaker 3: and we talked about that that Fangio's defense was night
- 4:14Speaker 3: and day compared to what the defense was last year.
- 4:17Speaker 3: And they turned around and the front four and you're right,
- 4:20Speaker 3: they didn't do a lot of blitz. They did some,
- 4:22Speaker 3: but they did apparently were zero. I see that, But
- 4:25Speaker 3: I mean they did a lot of stunts, and it's
- 4:27Speaker 3: not like that. I don't know what statistically you say
- 4:30Speaker 3: is just you can't bring more than four is not
- 4:32Speaker 3: a blitz.
- 4:32Speaker 1: But they did a lot of If you run a
- 4:34Speaker 1: four to three. But here's the deal, if you just
- 4:37Speaker 1: bring those four the whole time, it's not a blitz.
- 4:39Speaker 3: So ultimately, though, ultimately, though, the reason for the demise
- 4:44Speaker 3: of the Chiefs again eerily reminded me of what we
- 4:48Speaker 3: saw in the Chiefs when they played Tampa Bay. Was
- 4:50Speaker 3: the defensive line was dominant. I'm just saying the defensive
- 4:55Speaker 3: line of Tampa Bay was dominant. The defensive line of
- 4:58Speaker 3: Philadelphia was minute. I thought that the offensive line was
- 5:04Speaker 3: their weakness. I mean, Creed, Hampy's good, Humphrey's good, obviously,
- 5:09Speaker 3: and then you turn around and there's really not a
- 5:11Speaker 3: lot else there. Uh you know that's so good.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Uh, you have one other and I think it's your tackle.
- 5:20Speaker 3: One of the tackles, it's one of the Okay, we
- 5:23Speaker 3: talked about in the pod before is we both picked
- 5:25Speaker 3: the Chiefs to win.
- 5:28Speaker 1: And well I did, did you do? I picked Philly
- 5:32Speaker 1: to win.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sorry, we both picked the Eagles.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, there you get this Chiefs win.
- 5:37Speaker 3: No, no, no, I mean it's it were usually used to
- 5:40Speaker 3: it thirty one three Kenny and thirty one fifteen Sean.
- 5:45Speaker 2: And I just expect.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I really expected a closer game. I did not expect
- 5:51Speaker 1: garbage time from Kansas City. Well, I mean, like, okay,
- 5:56Speaker 1: they could not get anything done the entire.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Four Okay, so look at who screwed up stuff as
- 6:02Speaker 3: far as.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And then get your first touchdown and you go for two. Yeah.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I thought they were buying points early there. I mean,
- 6:09Speaker 3: but they were down twenty four nothing, you know, but
- 6:12Speaker 3: still I'm no, I don't even think they were down
- 6:14Speaker 3: twenty four to nothing. I think that six was later
- 6:17Speaker 3: because I think that Ken's I think that the Eagles,
- 6:20Speaker 3: if I remember right, I think, God, they had a
- 6:23Speaker 3: really long third quarter drive and there was only five
- 6:26Speaker 3: or six minutes left in the third quarter. I mean
- 6:28Speaker 3: they drove, drove, drove, and hey listen, I mean when
- 6:33Speaker 3: you when you really get down to it, wasn't this
- 6:36Speaker 3: the least dominant in thirty seven to there you go, Okay,
- 6:41Speaker 3: so didn't I thirty four to six and I think
- 6:43Speaker 3: they had a long drive and scored a touchdout there
- 6:46Speaker 3: you go five minutes in the third quarter. No talking
- 6:50Speaker 3: about Philadelphia. Yeah, so it's twenty four ninh and they
- 6:52Speaker 3: scored a field goal. It doesn't sound like a lot,
- 6:54Speaker 3: but they took six minutes out of the third.
- 6:56Speaker 1: When he got the ball back for another two forty exactly,
- 6:59Speaker 1: that's the third got another touchdown and that's.
- 7:02Speaker 3: When it was over. And the Chiefs players, no, I'm
- 7:04Speaker 3: not saying they'd give up, but that was giving up.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I mean you could just tell the defense, uh didn't
- 7:10Speaker 3: know what they were doing. And we talked about the
- 7:12Speaker 3: line play. It was important to talk about that. Every
- 7:16Speaker 3: player when you talk about the Eagles, was destined to
- 7:19Speaker 3: be better. I mean, you had my Homes and you
- 7:21Speaker 3: had Creed Humphrey, and you had who am I missing kill?
- 7:25Speaker 1: No?
- 7:25Speaker 3: No, no no, and you had Andy Reid. That's the three
- 7:28Speaker 3: people that was any better than anybody on the Eagles.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Eagles are the best built NFL team, right you kid?
- 7:34Speaker 2: Besides the County DeAndre Hopkins. We ended up having a drop.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Dude, He's not.
- 7:39Speaker 3: He wouldn't start for he wouldn't he would be fourth
- 7:42Speaker 3: or fifth wide receiver on the Eagles. I'm just saying,
- 7:45Speaker 3: when you put the two teams together, the players wise,
- 7:47Speaker 3: Jondian Hoppins is way down the list now maybe at best,
- 7:51Speaker 3: at best, but still okay, So we'd play every other
- 7:56Speaker 3: play or whatever. I mean, you got, like I've talked about,
- 7:58Speaker 3: You've got the Eagles, that's the best why receiver tannem
- 8:00Speaker 3: and you didn't even need him.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I know you honestly didn't.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I mean for your I'm sorry you needed them in
- 8:07Speaker 3: this game, but you didn't need him every game during
- 8:09Speaker 3: the regular season. You didn't need saquon this game.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Right, Well, Jalen had seventy He was the leading rusher
- 8:16Speaker 1: with seventy two on eleven carries.
- 8:18Speaker 3: And he and they used his legs at the most
- 8:20Speaker 3: of the movie.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Yes, he he used his legs at the most appropriate time.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Not that well they do. There was some, There was some, there.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Was designed, but there was a couple. There were also
- 8:30Speaker 1: a couple that he did on his own. I watched
- 8:33Speaker 1: that he did. He did on his own. His uh,
- 8:36Speaker 1: his wide receivers were covered and he took off.
- 8:38Speaker 3: The two super Bowls he's played in, he's excelled, and
- 8:41Speaker 3: he's excelled and he beats in both super Bowls. Love
- 8:44Speaker 3: hearing statistically, I.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Love hearing Utah Jalen Hurts up, I said, I and
- 8:51Speaker 1: Selving I.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Admit that a quarterback could come in with the best
- 8:55Speaker 3: O line and the best defense, that he can look good.
- 8:59Speaker 1: But did you belie leave the season before that Jalen
- 9:02Speaker 1: Hurts would have won a super Bowl?
- 9:05Speaker 3: No, because he didn't, so I'd be right, but no,
- 9:07Speaker 3: But I mean, did you believe that, didn't believe he'd
- 9:10Speaker 3: make one?
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:11Speaker 1: Even after that, did you not believe that he would
- 9:13Speaker 1: end up back in the super Bowl? After last season?
- 9:17Speaker 1: After watching last season and you know they still the playoffs.
- 9:22Speaker 1: They were still good.
- 9:23Speaker 3: But we talked about changes last year and we thought
- 9:26Speaker 3: Vic was the best, the best coordinator higher.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I don't know why Miami got rid of it.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, I think there was. There was rumors that
- 9:35Speaker 3: he coached him too hard, and.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Well you see what coaching you too hard gets.
- 9:41Speaker 3: But you must need get me.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You get Cooper de g a rookie on his birthday,
- 9:46Speaker 1: was a pick six.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Good and that was a great draft pick. And do
- 9:49Speaker 3: you know who the we got them on one of
- 9:51Speaker 3: the best of secondary him.
- 9:53Speaker 1: And do you know what Andy Reid who the last
- 9:56Speaker 1: who was the last white cornerback to get a pick
- 9:59Speaker 1: six was? I don't know, New York Giants Jason Steve
- 10:08Speaker 1: against Andy Reid and the Eagles. It was that one
- 10:11Speaker 1: where he flipped him in a Super Bowl, obviously, but
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'm saying the last he flipped.
- 10:16Speaker 2: He was playing corner and he went for the ball
- 10:18Speaker 2: and he flipped. He rolled over and then.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Just thought, I thought Reid, Blake and Ship really played
- 10:22Speaker 3: an heralded game. If you watched him. It's tough de
- 10:25Speaker 3: Gene obviously, what I'm saying Zach Bond. Zach Bond was Yeah,
- 10:30Speaker 3: good play. I mean he's gonna statistically, but Josh Sweat
- 10:33Speaker 3: obviously rook I'm sorry. A free agent, yes, give him
- 10:38Speaker 3: and I and that's if you look. I don't know
- 10:40Speaker 3: how if you pull that up. We'll talk about free
- 10:42Speaker 3: agents later, but Eagles have quite a few of them,
- 10:45Speaker 3: and that's generally how that happens. You you you build
- 10:48Speaker 3: a mega team. But Roseman, the GM should be given
- 10:52Speaker 3: a lot of credit.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Did you see that kill two tackles? Really?
- 10:57Speaker 3: Is that on fumbles or something?
- 10:59Speaker 2: I don't know. I just know that DS two tackles.
- 11:01Speaker 3: No, I just thought, how I thought Harry Roseman done.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Well.
- 11:06Speaker 3: It's built a great team. Well, and they built it
- 11:09Speaker 3: on a quarterback that really hasn't been battled. Well, it's
- 11:14Speaker 3: the coach was more in battled. But then you bring
- 11:16Speaker 3: with Mary paid a little more than people would go
- 11:20Speaker 3: what did they pay thirteen fourteen to fifteen million for him?
- 11:23Speaker 3: Why nobody pays the running back? Now, well you look
- 11:25Speaker 3: at it now, this was the year of the running back.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Oh absolutely, and.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Any of the running back came back.
- 11:30Speaker 3: And that how that shined. And now you're thinking, well, okay,
- 11:36Speaker 3: do I pick up running backs? Is that significant? Really?
- 11:39Speaker 3: What we've always talked about in the best teams generally
- 11:44Speaker 3: have good coordinators, great lines, and a star on either
- 11:50Speaker 3: side of the ball. Well some star.
- 11:53Speaker 1: You just said great coordinators. And you know, Kellen Moore
- 11:58Speaker 1: was that coordinator that you're talking about.
- 12:00Speaker 3: He's a head coach, he is. Now he took a we.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this.
- 12:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna say this.
- 12:06Speaker 1: We discounted Kellen Moore as an offensive coordinator at his
- 12:10Speaker 1: time with San Diego and at his time with Dallas.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Not so much Dallas, definitely San Diego. Well, we forgot
- 12:19Speaker 3: how bad the defense was in San Diego. And then
- 12:22Speaker 3: allegedly he turns around as is he hiring Brandon Stalius.
- 12:24Speaker 3: He's de coordinator at New Orleans. I've read a report.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I'm like, he who was the head coach when he
- 12:32Speaker 3: was at San Diego. It may be, yeah, I think
- 12:35Speaker 3: that's a bad hire, but yeah, I don't know.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I saw I saw Matt Patricia getting over there. I
- 12:41Speaker 2: think that was Ohio State.
- 12:42Speaker 3: That's a great hire. I thought we'll talk about that.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll get to that.
- 12:45Speaker 1: But no, Philadelphia, and I had picked him for our
- 12:50Speaker 1: pool pick. I had picked him at sixty sixty four
- 12:55Speaker 1: and I ended up getting that on garbage time, which
- 12:59Speaker 1: they hold on.
- 13:00Speaker 3: I predicted fifty four and had it, had it in
- 13:04Speaker 3: the fourth. I predicted it exactly. Yeah, I picked it exactly.
- 13:11Speaker 3: He's exactly right, and.
- 13:13Speaker 1: He's out and he's dancing and he's celebrating, and Sammy
- 13:19Speaker 1: Worthy was another touchdown late bullshit. Garbage time they go
- 13:23Speaker 1: to they go for too and they have no chance
- 13:27Speaker 1: of even if they got the on side kicked, they
- 13:29Speaker 1: still have no chance winning the game. I just thought
- 13:35Speaker 1: it was I thought it was a very well together
- 13:39Speaker 1: game plan from from offense tote one.
- 13:42Speaker 3: We talked about it, but.
- 13:43Speaker 1: It was a it was a very It doesn't look
- 13:45Speaker 1: like they changed anything from first half to second half.
- 13:48Speaker 2: They stuck with what they were doing.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Detroit and Philadelphia and the NFC Championship would have really
- 13:53Speaker 3: been fun to watch, it would. And then Golf just
- 13:55Speaker 3: pissed down his leg, puked at his mouth, whatever you
- 13:58Speaker 3: want to call it.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Well, and that that was him going against a coach
- 14:01Speaker 1: that had been there before, and and the very good
- 14:04Speaker 1: defensive coach I will I will say, because you remember
- 14:08Speaker 1: the Cowboys had been in the playoffs and then without him,
- 14:11Speaker 1: the Cowboys were just horrible trash this.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but Washington beat him. I don't, Oh you're talking about?
- 14:17Speaker 1: Yeah? Well, and then and then Detroit goes on to
- 14:20Speaker 1: lose all their coordinators. Philly's only lost one.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Uh, well, Vic's not gett another head coaching job, So.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I don't think they wants another head coach.
- 14:30Speaker 3: That's what you do, and that's that's that's that's coordinators do.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Steve spagn the other guys that I don't want to
- 14:37Speaker 1: do this again.
- 14:38Speaker 3: But I mean, if they get it, they take it.
- 14:40Speaker 3: But on a side note, but if loves the Prima Donna,
- 14:44Speaker 3: the young up and coming and how many is gonna
- 14:48Speaker 3: get fired?
- 14:48Speaker 1: Favorite quarterback with tiny hands has a super Bowl ring, Now.
- 14:54Speaker 3: It doesn't matter. There's a lot of backups in no
- 14:56Speaker 3: plays that no players that have super Bowl rings.
- 14:58Speaker 4: That's cool, But there was I did see there was
- 15:04Speaker 4: a Kansas City chief that did get a third Super
- 15:08Speaker 4: Bowl ring.
- 15:08Speaker 2: So one guy did three.
- 15:10Speaker 3: P Yeah, he had been on he know, he'd been
- 15:13Speaker 3: on the He.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Was on the Chiefs for the last season and then
- 15:16Speaker 1: he came over this season to Philly and it was
- 15:20Speaker 1: Kieran Or He was an offensive lineman. But yeah, he
- 15:28Speaker 1: ended up he did the three peat.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Let's talk about the Chiefs a little bit. Chiefs had
- 15:32Speaker 3: arguably the best record for the worst team you've ever watched. Ye, absolutely,
- 15:36Speaker 3: they were fifteen and how they pulled out two games
- 15:39Speaker 3: regular season pulled yeah, right, six games? Yeah, and then
- 15:45Speaker 3: you know, so what do you is it? It's getting
- 15:48Speaker 3: ready to be the time that you're going to start with.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I mean, Philadelphia is going to have a little bit
- 15:53Speaker 3: of a dip I think next year. But the NFC
- 15:55Speaker 3: East is pretty easy. Dean's on what Washington does. They
- 15:58Speaker 3: have a lot of cap space there.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Not losing, They're not really losing. And do know that
- 16:05Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey has been.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Well, you've got no I mean, you've got sweat. I
- 16:10Speaker 3: mean you pull up the top free agents that's coming.
- 16:12Speaker 3: I mean you've got sweat. You've got a couple other
- 16:15Speaker 3: people on defense that could be critical to that, and
- 16:21Speaker 3: then you've you know, what's a J Brown's problem? He
- 16:25Speaker 3: seems pissy.
- 16:26Speaker 1: One of super he got Super No, I think he's better. Okay,
- 16:31Speaker 1: so here go.
- 16:32Speaker 2: With the top free agents. We're looking at.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Kansas City's got DeAndre Hopkins coming up, justin Reid, Philadelphia, Sweat.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Go back down and see if they got anybody else.
- 16:52Speaker 3: I think they've got a few others that's gonna come
- 16:55Speaker 3: up on the defensive side, and maybe not. I mean
- 17:00Speaker 3: we're going down. The list doesn't seem like a lot.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Of He's got Marquis Brown coming up.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it doesn't.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Okay, is party on?
- 17:16Speaker 2: Oh here we go. Randon Graham.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Okay, that's another one, but that's.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Not that's not a big one.
- 17:22Speaker 3: That's not a big one. I thought there was somebody
- 17:24Speaker 3: else that I'm just missing.
- 17:26Speaker 1: H oh Z that bond.
- 17:32Speaker 2: That's that's that's all the free agents that are coming up.
- 17:34Speaker 3: We'll talk about. But no, I think I think the
- 17:36Speaker 3: Eagles are bound to be there. Sweat's not gonna be
- 17:39Speaker 3: a big deal. Carter. They're gonna have to re sign
- 17:42Speaker 3: soon because he's gonna be going into the third year.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I think cap space, you know my Homes. Yeah, they
- 17:53Speaker 3: they don't spend a lot of money on running backs.
- 17:54Speaker 3: And they didn't run the ball in the Super Bowl.
- 17:56Speaker 3: That was another thing tried. Well no I mean the
- 18:00Speaker 3: but no, I mean play calling.
- 18:02Speaker 1: But you don't have a dynamic running back. You didn't
- 18:05Speaker 1: have that break open that Simon J. P Ryan had
- 18:07Speaker 1: against uh A Buffalo.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Yeah no, but no, no, no, I think the game
- 18:12Speaker 3: plan was just odd. I think that Mahomes they wouldn't
- 18:15Speaker 3: and every how many deep plays, deep throws that Mahomes have.
- 18:18Speaker 3: It's like that was early. You need to really look,
- 18:23Speaker 3: well it was that connected with late Yeah, late after
- 18:26Speaker 3: it was already over.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You had the drop by Hopkins, you had a drop
- 18:29Speaker 1: by Kelsey, you had two interceptions.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Yeah, but a lot of those shit though. I mean
- 18:34Speaker 3: even the the you know, the Kelsey, some of those
- 18:36Speaker 3: throws and they dropped. It's like, oh, Kelsey should have
- 18:38Speaker 3: had Why is he diving?
- 18:40Speaker 2: Holly was sick, Why.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Is he diving for it?
- 18:44Speaker 2: Well? Won, he threw at the fucking ground.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Exactly, exactly. Worthy had to have a good game. First
- 18:49Speaker 3: text and long hornet score of Super Bowl Ever, congratulations.
- 18:52Speaker 3: I think I know you guy got the MVP, though
- 18:54Speaker 3: we call that.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I mean, who knows, well, if you got the sc
- 18:58Speaker 1: networks they don't recognize his time at Oklahoma.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Course they don't. It doesn't matter. I mean, I think
- 19:05Speaker 3: all that stuff is just so fucking generic. It's just
- 19:08Speaker 3: I mean, the reason the reason he came to Oklahoma
- 19:12Speaker 3: was because of a coach that's not here anymore, period.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Well, and that he wanted to learn how to pass,
- 19:16Speaker 1: and that's what he did. He learned how to be
- 19:18Speaker 1: a passer at Oklahoma.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Well, No, when I thought his leg I mean, he's
- 19:21Speaker 3: the past two Super Bowls, he's passed really well. But
- 19:24Speaker 3: I thought key plays in that game was was with
- 19:27Speaker 3: his legs. I thought the defense for Kansas City, you know,
- 19:33Speaker 3: their point was to stop Saquon and they did for
- 19:36Speaker 3: the most part. Then you turn around and look at
- 19:38Speaker 3: their offense. Too many throws. They should have ran the
- 19:41Speaker 3: ball more. They tried in the third quarter, they come out,
- 19:44Speaker 3: they get stuffed, and then I think the Eagles that
- 19:48Speaker 3: was the play I was talking the drive I was
- 19:50Speaker 3: talking about earlier, that the Eagles had plenty of yards
- 19:53Speaker 3: or plenty of time that they took off and it's like,
- 19:56Speaker 3: holy shit, we're down by this much. They didn't. They
- 19:59Speaker 3: only scored a field goal. But you thought, damn, that's
- 20:01Speaker 3: a backbreaker. How many third downs that they got. Those
- 20:05Speaker 3: three third downs that they got was crucial. And then
- 20:09Speaker 3: have the legs of Hurts. Like I said, I'm here
- 20:13Speaker 3: to set that I have stated that I thought Hurts
- 20:16Speaker 3: would not be a good NFL quarterback. I've shot on
- 20:18Speaker 3: him enough. And now, granted he's got one of the
- 20:22Speaker 3: best offensive lines, he's got a defense to back him,
- 20:24Speaker 3: he's got the best wide receiver tandem, but sometimes that's
- 20:27Speaker 3: what you need. His composure has been wonderful. He's not
- 20:31Speaker 3: an up and down guy, and I was wrong as
- 20:35Speaker 3: far as saying that guy is a good NFL quarterback,
- 20:39Speaker 3: especially when you put him in the right position. When
- 20:42Speaker 3: and I thought Kellen Moore played that well. You look
- 20:44Speaker 3: at Dak Prescott some of his numbers when Kellen Moore
- 20:47Speaker 3: was his offensive coordinator, who I thought was weak. I
- 20:50Speaker 3: didn't think he was that good. I was wrong there.
- 20:53Speaker 3: He put up some of the best numbers. Now go
- 20:56Speaker 3: back to Herbert, not so sure. I thought the defense
- 20:59Speaker 3: was horrible. Offensive that they look good. And so now
- 21:03Speaker 3: he's got it. He's the head coach at the Saints,
- 21:05Speaker 3: which I mean, You've got Derek Carr, who's one of
- 21:08Speaker 3: the more talented Sometimes he looks dumb, I'm sorry, just
- 21:13Speaker 3: dumb when he makes his decision making. But I think
- 21:15Speaker 3: he's one of the more talented quarter.
- 21:17Speaker 2: But Hardball's done with Herbert made Herbert look better this season.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Not necessarily. I think that's been more defense, culture and
- 21:25Speaker 3: special teams.
- 21:25Speaker 1: But Herbert he looked better.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Did he? I mean no, I mean he.
- 21:31Speaker 2: He looked better than he had in the last few seasons.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Not statistically, I don't think.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Do you remember the the Playhoff loss to the Jags.
- 21:41Speaker 3: I'm saying statistically he didn't look better. I think that
- 21:44Speaker 3: was a culture change. I think that was one of
- 21:46Speaker 3: the top passers, wasn't it. No, I'm just saying that
- 21:49Speaker 3: this season his his statistically, I don't think was is
- 21:54Speaker 3: any better than it was the year before. We'll pull
- 21:57Speaker 3: it up though. Let's look at stats, and I do
- 22:01Speaker 3: love stats.
- 22:03Speaker 2: I know your your pants are getting tired right now.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Yeah. So this year he threw for thirty eight, twenty
- 22:08Speaker 3: three and three. Well he did have statistically, but see
- 22:11Speaker 3: two years ago he was forty seven and that kelling
- 22:13Speaker 3: Moore was there and then five thousand. So no, statistically
- 22:16Speaker 3: yards wise now mistakes better in cordab Well, that's but
- 22:20Speaker 3: that's that's.
- 22:20Speaker 2: What I mean.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Like a No, I just don't.
- 22:23Speaker 3: I just don't think they put him in that position
- 22:24Speaker 3: because they ran the ball a lot more.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I mean, and that's fine, but he's still you know,
- 22:29Speaker 1: it's not it's not his best year.
- 22:31Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. No, no, no, I wouldn't say
- 22:33Speaker 3: it was his best statistically.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I was just saying that he was better, uh with
- 22:38Speaker 1: Harball and what Harball has brought.
- 22:40Speaker 3: In, Well, they took away that his two best receivers,
- 22:42Speaker 3: but lad conky keme.
- 22:44Speaker 2: McConkie's Quentin Johnson looked a hell of a lot better.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Better, But that's only because he was there sixty five percent,
- 22:50Speaker 3: almost sixty six percent, but he had sixty five sixty eight.
- 22:52Speaker 3: You know, twenty twenty two was his best year and
- 22:55Speaker 3: that was killing more. I believe it was. Yes, I
- 22:58Speaker 3: believe it was.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Was that the year lost to the Jacks in the playoff.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Were we watching that?
- 23:07Speaker 3: That was bad?
- 23:08Speaker 1: Yeah? That comeback?
- 23:10Speaker 3: Can we talk about that team?
- 23:12Speaker 1: Not good? Joe Jackson. We'll get into that. We'll get
- 23:16Speaker 1: into your love of Jackson.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Oh no, I'm right, I'm so fucking right about that.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Just him.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Okay, So anyways, Uh, Philadelphia repeating it is Uh? I
- 23:31Speaker 1: do know that the betting favorites for repeating next season. Uh,
- 23:36Speaker 1: Baltimore's right behind him. I believe Tansas City's right there
- 23:39Speaker 1: with those two teams. I believe Buffalo is picked at
- 23:44Speaker 1: the number four team, number number five team.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I saw this stat like yesterday, so I've done a
- 23:51Speaker 1: lot since then. Well here's another thing. Uh, your top
- 23:58Speaker 1: running back.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Have to sit a Lombardi. It was Joe Lombardi. Oh
- 24:04Speaker 3: really yeah? The Kellamore was only uh was the quarterbacks
- 24:10Speaker 3: just once? Yeah?
- 24:12Speaker 1: Huh.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Of course you've got Greg Roman now, uh, which I
- 24:17Speaker 3: like him, but a lot of run game. I mean
- 24:19Speaker 3: they were better. I mean that's a harrball is a
- 24:22Speaker 3: more focused on running and and whether it be you
- 24:26Speaker 3: know Steichen was Herbert's rookie coach in twenty twenty. Really, yes,
- 24:31Speaker 3: Lombardi was twenty one twenty two.
- 24:34Speaker 1: It was crazy.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I forgot about that.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Didn't mean I did, we all did.
- 24:39Speaker 3: I forgot about it.
- 24:39Speaker 1: This is what Steichen only spent uh two years at Philadelphia.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Three ye all Lombardi is now?
- 24:50Speaker 1: Oh Lombardi's with Buffalo, isn't he hold it?
- 24:53Speaker 3: Hold it? Hold it. He's a Broncos. That's broc Yeah,
- 24:56Speaker 3: he's a Broncos. Yes, God, I forgot.
- 24:58Speaker 1: About that because he was he was at Buffalo.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Yes, no, never at Buffalo.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I said, he love that.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Lombardi went to Buffalo.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Now Lions for a little bit under Caldwell. Then he
- 25:08Speaker 3: went to the Saints and that was a quarterback coach,
- 25:10Speaker 3: and then he went to the Chargers and then he
- 25:12Speaker 3: who was it? Who was? He was fired after the
- 25:16Speaker 3: wild Card lost to Jacksonville, where the Chargers lost at
- 25:18Speaker 3: twenty seven point lead, which is ironic that you're you
- 25:21Speaker 3: fire your OC for being up twenty second points. I watched,
- 25:27Speaker 3: and he's the defensive minded coach. That's why they hired
- 25:30Speaker 3: Killing Moore for that one year. It's fucking nuts, and
- 25:32Speaker 3: then got fired. That's why we.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Have watched them do this numerous times.
- 25:37Speaker 1: We have watched the head coaches scapegoat to keep their jobs.
- 25:42Speaker 1: What Chicago went through two wants of offensive coordinators during
- 25:46Speaker 1: the season, this season, this last season, and trying to
- 25:51Speaker 1: justify why you know Caleb Williams was horrible?
- 25:54Speaker 3: Was that Shane Leffrin or what was Shane?
- 25:58Speaker 2: I forgot that too many God.
- 26:01Speaker 3: You brought up that wild card loss. I forgot that
- 26:03Speaker 3: Brandon Staley, a defensive minded coaches, fired his offensive coordinator
- 26:07Speaker 3: being up twenty seven points and fired him. Now here's
- 26:11Speaker 3: my problem. When I was talking to you earlier about
- 26:13Speaker 3: I thought that Killamore getting that Saints job was great.
- 26:16Speaker 3: He's looking at hiring Brandon State as his defensive coordinator.
- 26:18Speaker 3: I just don't This familiarity's great, but I just don't.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Well and we we we don't. Is Brandon Staley a
- 26:27Speaker 2: better coordinator than he is a head coach?
- 26:28Speaker 3: Awesome?
- 26:29Speaker 1: We do?
- 26:29Speaker 2: You do run into that a lot.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I mean, you look at Mike Tomlin, who's been a
- 26:34Speaker 1: head coach for how long? And he was he wouldn't
- 26:39Speaker 1: he the defensive coordinator whenever he was more?
- 26:43Speaker 2: I know, but you look at that.
- 26:45Speaker 3: So the you talk about Dennis Allen who came from
- 26:47Speaker 3: the Saints that bart, Yeah, he's he's now a great.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Hire for their defense. We have zero c hire.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Remind me, oh, the OC hire was.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Boring. If I remember, Oh, Ben Johnson's calm the place,
- 27:03Speaker 3: it doesn't matter. Yeah, I forgot nobody. It doesn't matter
- 27:07Speaker 3: Ben Johnson's calm place. He's in place.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I forgot where the guy came from.
- 27:12Speaker 3: It's funny to think, Oh, he said nobody from Iowa
- 27:21Speaker 3: or something.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he was a tight end coach at Denver Broncos.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah, but he came from Iowa.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I think.
- 27:28Speaker 2: I don't.
- 27:29Speaker 3: So we're talking about coaching right now as we moved
- 27:32Speaker 3: on for the Super Bowl. Oh you know, hey, you
- 27:34Speaker 3: could look at look at next year's odds. Pull that up.
- 27:36Speaker 3: You were talking about odds, and I'm sorry interrupted you
- 27:39Speaker 3: on that because you said that that Philly was the
- 27:43Speaker 3: number one odd. I've got a couple surprised, Jeames. I
- 27:48Speaker 3: want to talk about as far as not necessarily make
- 27:51Speaker 3: I'm necessarily taking to the end or I mean winning
- 27:55Speaker 3: it all. You know what I mean.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Okay, So Philly is number one, Kansas City's number two,
- 28:01Speaker 1: Buffalo is number three, Baltimore's number.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Four, gotcha? Gotcha, a f C, AFC, a FC except Philly.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Uh, you know, Washington's gotta be up there. Detroit is
- 28:15Speaker 1: a love plus eleven hundred.
- 28:18Speaker 3: What do you think San Francisco's back there? Uh?
- 28:20Speaker 1: They spent an entire season injury riddled and but getting
- 28:24Speaker 1: rid of debo, getting rid of it. Now.
- 28:26Speaker 3: You talked a little bit about when you were talking
- 28:28Speaker 3: about we'll get the rumors about San Francisco. Remember the
- 28:30Speaker 3: rumors for the Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers parties do for
- 28:34Speaker 3: a deal even though Jed not Jed, God, what is
- 28:39Speaker 3: the Tampa's safety and he's the GM and Lynch No,
- 28:45Speaker 3: John has not Sean, I don't know.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Why I said.
- 28:47Speaker 3: He said he's gonna sign. So what do you pay? Party?
- 28:52Speaker 1: What you've gotten away with getting him cheap for this
- 28:54Speaker 1: long him now and we've we've talked, we've talked.
- 28:58Speaker 3: About that, But what do you paying?
- 29:01Speaker 1: What was the Daniel Jones for one six?
- 29:07Speaker 3: Is that what you pay him. You think he takes it.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Of course he'll take it.
- 29:12Speaker 3: You think nobody would pay anymore.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Well, and that's where you get into the.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Rumors, got to be a dome team.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Well, it is a dome tea. It's a dome team
- 29:25Speaker 1: in the desert, and it is Tom Brady. H vegs
- 29:30Speaker 1: of Tom Brady trying to get him to come there
- 29:35Speaker 1: and let Aaron Rodgers go to San Francisco, but trading,
- 29:42Speaker 1: trading to get Rock Party in because he likes the
- 29:48Speaker 1: way that Brock Party sees the field. He likes the
- 29:52Speaker 1: way he likes it.
- 29:56Speaker 2: He likes that Brock Purty.
- 29:59Speaker 3: So, uh, he's more smarter, He's a better athletic, more smarter.
- 30:06Speaker 3: He's more smarter, more smarter. I like more smarter. So
- 30:09Speaker 3: you look at that list. So you got one, two, three, four,
- 30:11Speaker 3: five six. The sixth best odds to win the Super
- 30:15Speaker 3: Bowl is a team that didn't make the playoffs. When's
- 30:18Speaker 3: the next team that didn't make the playoffs? How far
- 30:20Speaker 3: do you gotta go down? Of course this according to
- 30:23Speaker 3: CBS Sports, when's the Bengals. Okay, so that's second, fair enough,
- 30:28Speaker 3: and then keep going down, keep going down, keep going down,
- 30:32Speaker 3: and then what numbers Minnesota the playoffs? Well, y'all, they
- 30:36Speaker 3: had to fucking home field advantage right behind the Troy.
- 30:39Speaker 3: They had a home field game they lost. Oh that's right,
- 30:41Speaker 3: they were pass yes Chicago, and that's the next one,
- 30:45Speaker 3: and then Miami. So Chicago's tied with the Broncos and
- 30:50Speaker 3: the Buccaneers and the Vikings. And what makes Chicago better
- 30:54Speaker 3: than any of those three teams? Nothing? Because they hired
- 30:58Speaker 3: some wonder kid that thinks he's some O C genius.
- 31:01Speaker 3: I promise you this, and den sell them. They ain't
- 31:05Speaker 3: gonna make the playoffs. They are not gonna make the playoffs.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Mark it down, slap a label. The Bears will not
- 31:11Speaker 3: make the playoffs, not with.
- 31:12Speaker 2: That quarterback I wanted to take Jayden Daniels.
- 31:15Speaker 3: The Buccaneers, on the other hand, in.
- 31:18Speaker 1: The weakest division of all the football.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Will make the playoffs. The Denver Broncos made the playoffs
- 31:24Speaker 3: this year. It wasn't nobody. And now you've got to think, Okay, now,
- 31:29Speaker 3: who's the team that takes a step back? The Vikings probably,
- 31:33Speaker 3: but they ain't worse than that. They ain't worse than
- 31:34Speaker 3: the Bears.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Do the Rams take a step back or do the
- 31:38Speaker 1: Rams keep going for green Bay? Does green Bay take
- 31:42Speaker 1: a step back?
- 31:44Speaker 3: I'm in the running for Garrett. That's been a rumor, right,
- 31:47Speaker 3: but I'm gonna take it.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you right now.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Philly, Kansas City, Buffalo, Baltimore are and the Lions. You're
- 31:56Speaker 1: replacing all of your You're replacing a lot of staff.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Dude, they're all in the playoffs. So you can't say
- 32:02Speaker 3: those top five teams are you can number six Disco?
- 32:07Speaker 2: Well, what is going on there? Are they going to
- 32:10Speaker 2: be healthy?
- 32:11Speaker 3: So let's get to it. Oh healthy, Debo's gone, Deebo
- 32:15Speaker 3: wants to treat. So then what do you do with
- 32:17Speaker 3: brock Party, who's not that good? I mean, I'd take
- 32:21Speaker 3: Hurts over fucking Party. I've said it on this pod.
- 32:25Speaker 3: I'd take him over Party. I've made that very clear.
- 32:27Speaker 3: So I don't want to hear this drum man. Okay,
- 32:30Speaker 3: I'm not ok but I'm sorry to said that.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I will say that Washington has a better shot of
- 32:37Speaker 1: getting there over Detroit and San Francisco.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Washington is missing to San Francisco. Yeah, pie, Washington's missing
- 32:46Speaker 3: about six pieces.
- 32:47Speaker 1: No, two to three, They're missing a dynamic running back
- 32:50Speaker 1: and they're missing.
- 32:51Speaker 3: I don't even think they need a dynamic running back.
- 32:53Speaker 3: I said, I think they need a number two wide receiver.
- 32:55Speaker 3: And I said, the rest of the five need to
- 32:56Speaker 3: be on defense. That Daniel's mad, but there's a lot
- 33:01Speaker 3: of problems on offense. Get another lineman. Maybe I don't
- 33:06Speaker 3: even know if you need to run run the ball?
- 33:08Speaker 3: Who's a running back? Remind me, God, I can't remember.
- 33:10Speaker 2: It's not McLaurin, is it.
- 33:12Speaker 3: No, he's a wide receiver, Robins, Robinson. Okay, he's not bad.
- 33:17Speaker 3: That's okay. He's got another guy got cut. Like I said,
- 33:25Speaker 3: you just bad. That is not a problem. It's the defense.
- 33:28Speaker 3: The defense is horrific.
- 33:29Speaker 2: The defense has one issue.
- 33:31Speaker 3: San Francisco is done. They are toast. You're gonna talk
- 33:35Speaker 3: about Shanahan being not fired, but you could potentially see
- 33:40Speaker 3: it traded. How about a trade? How about a trade?
- 33:44Speaker 3: How about a how about a trade to somebody that's
- 33:47Speaker 3: got a better team. Because everyone thinks, everyone thinks he's
- 33:52Speaker 3: a wonder. Now I don't think so. Because I think
- 33:55Speaker 3: Callahan's good. Who's going to quarterback there? That's where I
- 33:58Speaker 3: think Aaron Rodgers, That's that's what Aaron.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Rodgers has a multitude of spots that I don't think
- 34:03Speaker 1: he's got it. He's got Cleveland, now, he's got Pittsburgh.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Now, he's just he's he's a he's a cancer on
- 34:09Speaker 3: a team.
- 34:10Speaker 2: I didn't say that.
- 34:11Speaker 3: I didn't you say that you need to go.
- 34:13Speaker 2: He said that he's got options. I ve he can
- 34:17Speaker 2: go to.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Pick a team. Hold on picking. This is just my opinion.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Tennessee guy.
- 34:23Speaker 3: Okay, he does pick a team that's got a week
- 34:26Speaker 3: head coach, a week owner that's desperate. You know you've
- 34:32Speaker 3: got a headstrong coach there, You've got Pete Carroll ca.
- 34:36Speaker 3: I think Tennessee is the best, best because, oh.
- 34:40Speaker 1: No, he could go to he could definitely go to Cleveland.
- 34:42Speaker 2: They are pushing on.
- 34:43Speaker 3: I don't think they will overpay, because what are you
- 34:46Speaker 3: gonna do with the Shawn? You've got to do? Shawn
- 34:48Speaker 3: is done? You think Shawn is done?
- 34:51Speaker 2: They are They've all said that he's done.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Just because the drink. What are you gonna do the
- 34:54Speaker 3: next five years? Are you just gonna cut him and
- 34:57Speaker 3: eat it? It's which they should have already know.
- 34:59Speaker 2: They re they did a restructure. Remember they did a restructure.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Yeah, but there was a point to that. So there
- 35:04Speaker 3: had to be some sort of guarantees. I guarantee you
- 35:06Speaker 3: there's a back Yeah. I don't know what happens on
- 35:09Speaker 3: the backside, I know.
- 35:10Speaker 1: But like Kirk Cousins, Kirk Cousins in that massive contract
- 35:16Speaker 1: that he signed.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Good, that's bring it about contract.
- 35:20Speaker 2: That he signed. We have until they well they.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Have it's a post June first, I think, Well.
- 35:26Speaker 1: It depends on the money. I think, uh, pre March
- 35:29Speaker 1: or at March a cut. At March he makes a
- 35:33Speaker 1: certain amount. Post June first.
- 35:35Speaker 2: He makes a larger amount.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Yes, so you you kept So you want to cut
- 35:39Speaker 3: him early? Okay, he might be an early you want to.
- 35:42Speaker 2: You want to cut.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Oh he could end up on Tennessee. He could end
- 35:47Speaker 1: up in Las Vegas. He could end up anywhere.
- 35:52Speaker 3: M hm okay.
- 35:53Speaker 2: So you got New York Giants still looking for a quarterback.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Well that's the Stafford rumer that it's still they got
- 36:00Speaker 3: told me about it. They got the third pick in
- 36:02Speaker 3: the draft. What do you do with the third pick?
- 36:04Speaker 3: Do you give the Rams a third pick for hold On?
- 36:06Speaker 3: Do you give hold On? You give the Rams third
- 36:08Speaker 3: pick for Stafford? With the idea that Stafford signs a two.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Year Stafford and takeovers. Oh that says Matthew Stafford. Vikings,
- 36:19Speaker 1: who says.
- 36:20Speaker 3: No, oh that's just that, No, that's not gonna.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Happen, receives hold on this would say the receiver.
- 36:26Speaker 3: It's like it's late. It's late. It's late. It's a
- 36:28Speaker 3: late pick. And you got O'Connell there. I could see that.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I mean, like we talked about like well, like we
- 36:35Speaker 1: talked about in Minnesota, just franchise tag h.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Donald. If you want to keep them, franchise tag, make
- 36:43Speaker 3: sure Donald to make sure JJ what happens.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Then you can let Donald go the next season.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Yeah, because they've got the cat space to do it.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you want to see because when we looked at it,
- 36:55Speaker 1: THENDA is there s sorry yeah, Minnesota. So they do
- 37:04Speaker 1: have the cap space to work with it. Like I said,
- 37:06Speaker 1: with Washington and the Miles Garrett issue, Washington has the
- 37:09Speaker 1: money to pay Miles.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Garrett to come there.
- 37:11Speaker 3: He does they do.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Yes, Now, if you're looking at it, he said he
- 37:15Speaker 1: wants to go to change.
- 37:15Speaker 3: That's a trade though. So you can't just have the money.
- 37:18Speaker 3: You've got to give up some equity back with it.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Still, but a team.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Like I said, the teams that could do that would
- 37:25Speaker 1: be Detroit. Detroit could give up the trades and still
- 37:30Speaker 1: they still have the capital to pay San Francisco.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Okay, so no, now you can talk about that. That's
- 37:37Speaker 3: a good idea because it would from the Philadelphia Eagles
- 37:41Speaker 3: to that Super Bowl was huge. So maybe you could
- 37:44Speaker 3: offset Detroit's lack of secondary and linebacker. They're not good
- 37:49Speaker 3: in the back, They're good in the front four.
- 37:52Speaker 1: They've got a decent linebacking cor I don't think so.
- 37:56Speaker 3: I think that's their weakness besides golf. And I've always
- 37:59Speaker 3: said that golf just had a bad game.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Oh you're talking about Detroit.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Oh, Detroit, Detroit getting getting I'm talking about getting Yeah.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Problem with Detroit.
- 38:08Speaker 1: The problem with Detroit was massive injuries. What was their secondary?
- 38:11Speaker 1: They were down to like fourth string.
- 38:13Speaker 3: They did have a lot of defense injurines. So maybe
- 38:15Speaker 3: if you bring a lot of those maybe if you
- 38:17Speaker 3: bring a lot of those guys back, what do you
- 38:19Speaker 3: focus on?
- 38:20Speaker 1: Then right now you don't need anything on offense.
- 38:24Speaker 3: I now, I agree, I totally agree, unless you need
- 38:26Speaker 3: some line help.
- 38:27Speaker 1: You know, they were back backup lineman anyway, were really really.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Thought, but I thought their secondary, even though they had
- 38:34Speaker 3: a lot of injuries, is very boring. Just just pedestrian, pedestrian.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Because yeah, they had a massive amount of injuries.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Then you got Cincinnati, which I must talk about.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Cincinnati and their defenses needed help for how long?
- 38:48Speaker 3: Well not that long, that long because they fired, they fired,
- 38:51Speaker 3: they fired.
- 38:53Speaker 2: And he wouldn't have to move I just because he's
- 38:55Speaker 2: already in Cleveland.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Oh he's not going there. But if he goes to
- 38:58Speaker 3: Cincinnati because Cincinnati too cheap, we don't know. I mean,
- 39:02Speaker 3: they are, like I've said, Joe Burrows is never gonna
- 39:05Speaker 3: go back to Chase still hasn't been signed. Hendrickson still
- 39:09Speaker 3: hasn't been signed. That so so those two are huge,
- 39:15Speaker 3: and they've got cap space. And even Joe Burrow's come
- 39:17Speaker 3: out and like, hey, help a brother out. Hey Joe,
- 39:20Speaker 3: you shouldn't have signed so early. Joe, you need to
- 39:23Speaker 3: get you. He's gonna request a trade eventually. I've said
- 39:26Speaker 3: this already, smoking Joe, that's what he should be doing
- 39:29Speaker 3: right now. If smoking Joe, hold on, let me finish.
- 39:31Speaker 3: When Hendrickson or Chase doesn't sign an extension soon, one
- 39:38Speaker 3: of them this year, one of them next year, you're
- 39:40Speaker 3: gonna be looking at Joe Burrow going, hey, listen, I'm
- 39:42Speaker 3: fucking done trade me or I'm setting out period, and
- 39:47Speaker 3: that he's gonna make that call and everyone's gonna come.
- 39:51Speaker 3: And then you look at who's gonna be available with
- 39:54Speaker 3: the cap space that's going to be living up the
- 39:56Speaker 3: Rams because they're going to sign somebody short sighted like
- 39:59Speaker 3: an Air Rogers or a Sam or a whole let
- 40:02Speaker 3: me finish like a Sam Darnhum and who else?
- 40:06Speaker 1: Who?
- 40:06Speaker 3: What other team is going to be there available that
- 40:09Speaker 3: doesn't need a quarterback? Oh wait, the Jets, depending on
- 40:13Speaker 3: what he does at Glenn does. You're looking at those
- 40:17Speaker 3: two teams and going, oh shit, you haven't bought into
- 40:21Speaker 3: a quarterback that you just fell in love with. And
- 40:26Speaker 3: where's Joe Burrow go? You know, Saints is another one
- 40:29Speaker 3: Kark could get out. Obviously you got the LSU connection.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Look at those teams like that that's going to be waiting.
- 40:35Speaker 2: But if Joe Burrow, we're a team player, he is
- 40:37Speaker 2: a team.
- 40:38Speaker 1: You've already dropped Mixon, You've already dropped samon Jay, so
- 40:42Speaker 1: you lost your really great running back tandem.
- 40:45Speaker 2: To bring in Zach Taylor.
- 40:46Speaker 3: The Bengals are cheap.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Who didn't produce cheap?
- 40:50Speaker 3: No, Zach Taylor's produced more than any coach has done that.
- 40:53Speaker 3: And he's probably back Zach Taylor. Zach Taylor. Now their
- 41:00Speaker 3: coach went from Indianapolis.
- 41:04Speaker 1: To Zach Taylor's.
- 41:04Speaker 3: I don't think that's his name.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Wasn't either. So anyways, you get rid of mixing and
- 41:10Speaker 1: p Runza Moss. So you get rid of Mexican. Yeah,
- 41:14Speaker 1: you get rid of you get rid of mixing and
- 41:16Speaker 1: and p Run you bring and it didn't work out.
- 41:21Speaker 1: It has not worked out.
- 41:22Speaker 3: We could have said.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Has had an amazing season at even though injury, still
- 41:31Speaker 1: had an amazing season. You saw what happened when the
- 41:34Speaker 1: Texans were without him. Okay, p run has been integral
- 41:38Speaker 1: and certain wins for the.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Chiefs old but good.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Yes, he uh.
- 41:43Speaker 1: He did carry a bit of the team whenever he
- 41:47Speaker 1: was in Denver, he was he was their workhorse. And
- 41:52Speaker 1: so you you you have you have no running back
- 41:55Speaker 1: there and you have you I would say almost diva
- 42:00Speaker 1: wide receivers, but not really, uh.
- 42:04Speaker 2: You really they're almost.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Jar Chase is the best wider. I'd take him over Jeffson,
- 42:10Speaker 3: just like that's fine.
- 42:11Speaker 2: I would too.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I mean, you had what how many games are two
- 42:14Speaker 1: hundred and plus yards? Yeah?
- 42:17Speaker 2: Who calm down there.
- 42:18Speaker 3: He was my best fucking player.
- 42:21Speaker 1: So you've got you've got Jamar Chase doing all that
- 42:24Speaker 1: work by.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Himself on the offense. He is the offense.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Burrow needs to take some of that money that he
- 42:31Speaker 1: signed for now.
- 42:32Speaker 3: I don't say that that's bullshit.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Restructure to help out to get players in there to
- 42:42Speaker 1: get I disagree.
- 42:43Speaker 3: I think I don't look at all the Caps face
- 42:45Speaker 3: safe got even with Joe Burrow on the fat contract.
- 42:48Speaker 3: They were in the top ten, weren't they eleven? Sorry?
- 42:52Speaker 1: Eleven?
- 42:53Speaker 3: Okay, so they could sign Higgins and what.
- 42:55Speaker 1: I said, what I'm saying is is is restructure of
- 42:58Speaker 1: the fat contract.
- 42:59Speaker 3: He didn't have to right now because he's early. Even
- 43:01Speaker 3: more he's early in his contract, you can still get
- 43:06Speaker 3: more bullshit. I mean, it's a cheap team. They're not
- 43:08Speaker 3: going to sign them. They get they got rid of
- 43:10Speaker 3: mixing that pissed them off already. Now if you get
- 43:13Speaker 3: rid of Hendrickson also a possible candidate for Tampa Bay.
- 43:16Speaker 3: I'm telling you, Gerrick, Sir Henderson, Hendrickson going to be
- 43:19Speaker 3: a Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay is right there close. I'm
- 43:22Speaker 3: just letting you know to being.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Bulls as you coach.
- 43:28Speaker 1: I mean, I mean we talked about how his his decisions.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Have have heard that team?
- 43:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I made the playoffs made you know in Washington
- 43:38Speaker 3: beat two badass teams, Tampa and Detroit. It's one of
- 43:41Speaker 3: those same.
- 43:42Speaker 1: And and I had called Tampa Washington as being a late,
- 43:46Speaker 1: late entry team.
- 43:47Speaker 3: We all called it. Don't take credit. We both said
- 43:50Speaker 3: that Washington was over, so don't act like it was you.
- 43:56Speaker 3: We had not talk, not at all, talk at all.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you're wrong about that.
- 44:03Speaker 3: I talk okay early, let's stop right now. Who's your
- 44:08Speaker 3: early team that didn't make the playoffs that might make
- 44:10Speaker 3: it next year? Just thinking a little bit, you know,
- 44:15Speaker 3: are you gonna pick San Francisco because that's easy? Is
- 44:18Speaker 3: that what you're gonna do? I think you would. You
- 44:20Speaker 3: would because Rock Party is going to sign a new
- 44:22Speaker 3: contract extension.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Well, the only other teams that we missed. You really
- 44:27Speaker 1: want to go down list the teams that we missed.
- 44:28Speaker 3: No, I'm just saying something that could come back in
- 44:31Speaker 3: there next year. Oh, Green Bay, they made the playoffs.
- 44:36Speaker 3: You said they could come back that didn't make the
- 44:38Speaker 3: playoffs this year.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Yes, yes, you know, Seattle's kind of right.
- 44:46Speaker 3: They're gonna roll back with so Seattle's on that tip. Yeah, right.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Now, we missed San Francisco, we missed Dallas. I don't
- 44:58Speaker 1: see Dallas getting back in.
- 44:59Speaker 3: This Oh god, they're done. They're done.
- 45:01Speaker 1: And uh, that was the only two that we missed
- 45:04Speaker 1: for for the.
- 45:07Speaker 3: So now we move over. We move over to.
- 45:10Speaker 2: The a f C.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Miami, the Jets, Cincinnati, Indianapolis. It's trash Miami, Cincinnati, indian Jacksonville.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Did was the one, you know, because they got three
- 45:26Speaker 3: teams out of the West, you know, three teams just
- 45:29Speaker 3: Houston obviously, and I don't see anybody coming out of
- 45:31Speaker 3: the FC South that's going to make the playoffs. You know,
- 45:33Speaker 3: you could talk about Jacksonville new coach, Liam coach, he's
- 45:37Speaker 3: a bitch and uh and yeah, tacky, tacky. I could
- 45:43Speaker 3: see Trevor Lawrence joke trade though I don't know if
- 45:47Speaker 3: that was realistic, but about sending him to the Giants,
- 45:50Speaker 3: and I'm like to do it, but I woulda Cincinnati,
- 45:54Speaker 3: Miami Mia, Miami, Cincinnati is my team that's gonna.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Bounceam is doing a lot of money cut right.
- 46:00Speaker 3: As long as Hendrickson gets re signed.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Well, Miami's doing a lot of money cut right now.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Oh, I think that way they could sign pick it. Yeah,
- 46:08Speaker 3: you picked that one because I think they're horrible. I
- 46:10Speaker 3: think that. I think that's it. I think Mike McDaniel's
- 46:12Speaker 3: gonna get fired after this year, maybe midyearsh Mike McDaniel,
- 46:18Speaker 3: he's the coach of Josh is the o c at
- 46:23Speaker 3: Daniels who brought back the team who brought back.
- 46:29Speaker 2: I think Michael McDonald's.
- 46:34Speaker 3: No. Seattle's close, but the divisions too hard because I
- 46:36Speaker 3: do think San Francisco is going to be better. Yeah,
- 46:39Speaker 3: and I think are going to be depending on the
- 46:41Speaker 3: quarterback issue.
- 46:42Speaker 2: I mean, Shannah john.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Lynch make it do make a lot of very good
- 46:45Speaker 1: decisions to stay relevant.
- 46:49Speaker 3: I want you should really record this date on how
- 46:52Speaker 3: many time and what date? Because I think when they
- 46:55Speaker 3: give brought party about forty million a year, I'm going
- 46:58Speaker 3: to set back and go, oh.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Boy, this is what forty years for three years?
- 47:04Speaker 3: Three year on hundred and twenty million? Yeah, she even Christmas?
- 47:08Speaker 3: Who else you's gonna pay? You know, Dak Prescott's got
- 47:11Speaker 3: the highest next year, he's like ninety million. Nobody cares
- 47:14Speaker 3: about the Cowboys because they're done. You know what, I
- 47:17Speaker 3: feel bad a little bit about Brian. I know, I
- 47:20Speaker 3: don't think he was.
- 47:21Speaker 2: I think he do you think he's a one year
- 47:23Speaker 2: scape goat.
- 47:25Speaker 3: One year maybe two. I don't think he was that
- 47:28Speaker 3: bad of a hire. I just I thought he hired
- 47:30Speaker 3: some good assistance.
- 47:31Speaker 2: I do he went on a tear higher.
- 47:34Speaker 3: That's funny. We'll see how.
- 47:35Speaker 1: But but what I'm saying is is that do you
- 47:38Speaker 1: see him as.
- 47:39Speaker 3: But I mean, really, when you talk about the AFC,
- 47:42Speaker 3: NFC coul Okay, pick three teams on each side and
- 47:44Speaker 3: they're going to be in the fucking Super Bowl next year.
- 47:47Speaker 3: NFC Philly Lions, I say, Washington, me too, Tampa before,
- 47:54Speaker 3: but I'll go Washington, those three other side, Baltimore Kids' six.
- 48:01Speaker 2: We're tired of it. That's it. We are so tired
- 48:04Speaker 2: of it.
- 48:04Speaker 1: It's the same as Buffalo breaks our hearts every year.
- 48:07Speaker 2: What for the what has this been three years?
- 48:08Speaker 3: We've been doing this eighty anyway, and Buffalo has.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Broken our hearts for the last three years.
- 48:13Speaker 3: It's like, Josh Allen, you had it this year too,
- 48:16Speaker 3: and it was the worst she seem in college.
- 48:19Speaker 2: I loved watching him in college. It's like, this kid's
- 48:20Speaker 2: gonna go.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Watching him at Wyoming, I'm like, this kid's gonna end
- 48:24Speaker 1: up in the NFL and he's gonna be a steal
- 48:26Speaker 1: and he was a steal and.
- 48:28Speaker 3: He's gonna go he got to be a steal and.
- 48:30Speaker 1: He was gonna I was like, I figured first three years,
- 48:35Speaker 1: four years, maybe he would be in the super Bowl.
- 48:38Speaker 2: And what's happened?
- 48:39Speaker 1: Not yet.
- 48:40Speaker 2: He runs into Kansas City, runs.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Into multiple you run into generational team, you.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Run and Cincinnati has been a bane too. Let's not
- 48:47Speaker 2: forget that.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Something that thorn it well, I agreed, but think about
- 48:51Speaker 3: Joe Burrows. They beat them. Yeah, but you think about
- 48:54Speaker 3: all the teams that didn't make it during Brady's years.
- 48:57Speaker 2: You know.
- 48:59Speaker 3: When a good quarterback, Yes, yes, you know, Peyton Manning
- 49:02Speaker 3: lost a lot, a lot. Who else am I missing?
- 49:06Speaker 2: I'm trying to I'm trying to think.
- 49:10Speaker 3: There's there who is that one? It was? Peyton was
- 49:14Speaker 3: the one that was the most Who was Baltimore? That
- 49:18Speaker 3: defense was so good at Baltimore and they really didn't
- 49:21Speaker 3: need a big quarterback. But you know, you look at
- 49:23Speaker 3: those teams that that Brady was a part of that
- 49:27Speaker 3: just missed a lot of games.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Uh, let's see AFC. Let me.
- 49:41Speaker 3: Just yeah, I was trying to think of some teams.
- 49:43Speaker 3: Who am I missing because we're missing some big Peyton
- 49:47Speaker 3: comes to mind.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Payton's change is the biggest because it took Peyton a
- 49:50Speaker 1: lot just even.
- 49:53Speaker 3: Obviously the there was some quarterbacks at this at the Raiders.
- 49:59Speaker 2: I no, I don't believe it was you want to
- 50:04Speaker 2: try to say Carson Palmer, Andy, Yeah.
- 50:08Speaker 3: I mean I had Andy one year in as the
- 50:10Speaker 3: Cincinnati that was like fifteen sixteen. They had a really
- 50:13Speaker 3: good team.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Oh it's so uh god, I'm trying to remember all
- 50:21Speaker 1: the quarterbacks that we.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Watched growing up or you know, in that in that era.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Oh Rivers, God, that that's another one.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Oh Philip Rivers the Dan Marine, even though he never
- 50:40Speaker 2: made it.
- 50:40Speaker 3: To Drew Brees. Okay, so Peyton was number one. Patrick
- 50:46Speaker 3: Mahomes Beach is this who I was looking at the
- 50:51Speaker 3: a f C generally. Ben Roethlisberger was another one.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, big Ben, big Well, we forgot Big Ben
- 50:56Speaker 1: and him used to go out it all the time.
- 50:57Speaker 3: Both were AFC losses uh and Andrew Luck, But I
- 51:01Speaker 3: don't know Philip Rivers. You know he lost to three
- 51:05Speaker 3: times to Brady in the playoffs. Pikes, Steve McNair was
- 51:09Speaker 3: the one that was the tuck roll. That was the
- 51:13Speaker 3: year that probably the Raiders were the best, and that
- 51:17Speaker 3: was that tuck roll. I believe that was Gruden's last
- 51:20Speaker 3: year and he left and then went to Tampa after that,
- 51:23Speaker 3: if I'm not and Joe Flacco, yes, oh Joe Jojoise
- 51:30Speaker 3: that was otherwise just trash on those But yeah, I
- 51:33Speaker 3: think that. But but well, I.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Remember you, we remember sitting there watching it.
- 51:37Speaker 3: But Peyton reminds me the most.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Drew bloodsoe starting at the Patriots and then you know
- 51:43Speaker 1: they wont let's bring this kid.
- 51:46Speaker 3: Well, Drew got hurt and he never got his job, never.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Got it back.
- 51:50Speaker 3: And it happens.
- 51:50Speaker 2: I mean, and what was it?
- 51:52Speaker 1: Dan Terry was the one that actually take won in
- 51:55Speaker 1: the first Super Bowl, wouldn't it? Well?
- 51:57Speaker 3: Was that? I think it was the defense. I think
- 51:59Speaker 3: they played the Rams. I'm not.
- 52:01Speaker 2: What I'm saying is Vinitari's field goal?
- 52:03Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think we're scoring Rams who beat my
- 52:07Speaker 3: Tampa Bay Bucks like you a really weird. Eleven to
- 52:11Speaker 3: six Sean King quarterback corner. Yeah, they only scored eleven points.
- 52:18Speaker 3: We stopped him. Defense is bad ass. We had Sean
- 52:20Speaker 3: King as our art and that's in the right after
- 52:23Speaker 3: that they fired.
- 52:26Speaker 1: Yeah, there's I mean, there's a lot going on right
- 52:29Speaker 1: now in free agency.
- 52:29Speaker 2: We're just setting a lot.
- 52:31Speaker 1: So we're just we're just waiting to see where the
- 52:34Speaker 1: where the piece is flown.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Okay, So we haven't really talked a lot about free draft. Yeah,
- 52:38Speaker 3: we'll talk about draft.
- 52:40Speaker 1: I'm saying his draft is in a month.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Let's talk about quarterbacks. I mean quarterbacks. So you got Stafford,
- 52:45Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers? Is that the two big ones? Am I
- 52:47Speaker 3: missing somebody? Am I missing something?
- 52:49Speaker 2: Wilson?
- 52:50Speaker 3: Okay?
- 52:51Speaker 2: I know that you're also gonna justin.
- 52:54Speaker 3: Field those four. So where they end up?
- 52:58Speaker 1: One of them is gonna end up in Vegas? Tell
- 53:02Speaker 1: you right now, one of those guys ends up in
- 53:03Speaker 1: Las Vegas?
- 53:04Speaker 3: Okay? Would Russell Wilson not make sense.
- 53:07Speaker 1: With Pete Carroll him and knowing that he can.
- 53:10Speaker 3: What about Aaron Rodgers? I mean, you know Jets are like, hey,
- 53:12Speaker 3: we're fucking done. We ain't got a quarterback? Tells you
- 53:15Speaker 3: enough about Aaron Rodgers, So Aaron Rodgers, whatever team picks
- 53:18Speaker 3: him up, whatever team picks him. No, I don't really
- 53:22Speaker 3: think that's the case. I think it's there's gonna have
- 53:24Speaker 3: to be a headstrong coach. And that's why I like
- 53:26Speaker 3: Vegas in that and I like the Rams Stafford. There's
- 53:34Speaker 3: been rumored that he could go Where's.
- 53:37Speaker 1: He go because they don't have a decent backup for him?
- 53:40Speaker 3: Well, no, there's I don't know. They're all pissy about
- 53:42Speaker 3: the wife on social media.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I don't care about the what. But he doesn't have
- 53:47Speaker 1: a backup. He doesn't have a decent backup.
- 53:48Speaker 3: Who's he? Who's who's he? We're talking about the Rams?
- 53:52Speaker 3: If he leaves, who cares about it?
- 53:53Speaker 2: But I'm saying the backup on on the Rams, I
- 53:56Speaker 2: don't know who has.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Who is it? That's a minute?
- 54:02Speaker 3: Who cares there it is? But I'm just saying they're
- 54:04Speaker 3: gonna want somebody, because that's what That's why I'm saying
- 54:07Speaker 3: that the Cooper CAP's gone.
- 54:09Speaker 1: They're getting ready.
- 54:10Speaker 3: They've already said and we'll pay salary, and.
- 54:12Speaker 2: They want to send cup to to Pittsburgh.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Apparently, just if you want to dump somebody you dumping
- 54:17Speaker 1: in Pittsburgh.
- 54:19Speaker 3: They seem like the most desperate you just you kill
- 54:24Speaker 3: there in Pittsburgh.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I do, I do too, So I.
- 54:30Speaker 3: Really you know, who's setting pretty right now in the
- 54:32Speaker 3: AFC is like you talked about the Ravens and the Bills.
- 54:36Speaker 3: They're sitting there going okay, we're fine.
- 54:38Speaker 2: Kansas City is still okay.
- 54:39Speaker 3: I don't think so. I think they're done.
- 54:41Speaker 2: And I'll tell you Chargers are something good too.
- 54:44Speaker 3: They need another wide receiver.
- 54:46Speaker 1: That's fine, but they also need a really they need
- 54:49Speaker 1: that good back as well.
- 54:51Speaker 3: You know, Dobbin's played pretty well, statistically, played well. He
- 54:54Speaker 3: had some injuries.
- 54:54Speaker 1: One more, just one more. I think.
- 54:56Speaker 3: I think Harball comes in scelet's play a little better defense.
- 54:59Speaker 3: Oh no, I in the Brons talking.
- 55:01Speaker 2: About Will Disley and you didn't not know who he was.
- 55:04Speaker 3: I knew who he was. I didn't think he'd be
- 55:05Speaker 3: a pass catcher. He was more of a blocker.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Oh no, he's past catcher. I knew that. I knew
- 55:10Speaker 2: that man is a pass catcher.
- 55:13Speaker 1: I knew that. I knew that guy draft him.
- 55:15Speaker 3: You picked him up late. I never had him, somebody did.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I never picked the Disley yep, because the first two
- 55:22Speaker 1: years that Will Disley was.
- 55:23Speaker 3: First to nobody.
- 55:26Speaker 2: He was in the league for Seattle.
- 55:28Speaker 3: He was a round blocker.
- 55:29Speaker 1: He would get injured and be out for the season.
- 55:34Speaker 1: That was the problem. That's why I don't pick him up.
- 55:36Speaker 1: That's why he's a person.
- 55:37Speaker 2: He's a player that I just don't touch because is
- 55:40Speaker 2: he going to be injured?
- 55:42Speaker 1: So that's our talking about quarterbacks.
- 55:45Speaker 3: So well, I mean, let's get back to that. Where
- 55:47Speaker 3: do you think I mean, we'll talk later, but I
- 55:50Speaker 3: mean the the you got the bit. You have the
- 55:54Speaker 3: biggest free agency. This is actually one of the biggest big.
- 55:59Speaker 5: Done.
- 55:59Speaker 3: Okay you he retires, No, I think he should be done.
- 56:02Speaker 2: But he's not gonna be done.
- 56:04Speaker 1: He's gonna end up out west, somewhere out west.
- 56:09Speaker 3: I can't go further east than the Jets.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Cute. Cute. I'm just saying, he's not gonna end up
- 56:18Speaker 1: in Cleveland even.
- 56:22Speaker 3: Than Can you name a worse franchise in the NFL
- 56:25Speaker 3: than them? No, you're not even close to You guys
- 56:28Speaker 3: know you're better. You're better than Cleveland.
- 56:31Speaker 2: No, we're not.
- 56:32Speaker 3: Your defense showed some signs you have a You let
- 56:35Speaker 3: me talk about my team, and then you signed a
- 56:38Speaker 3: coach that's never been a head coach.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Let me talk about my team the way I want to.
- 56:45Speaker 3: All Right, I'm just saying.
- 56:47Speaker 1: I'm saying, Oh, contract wise, definitely Cleveland. If you want
- 56:52Speaker 1: to make a massive contract and not have to do anything,
- 56:55Speaker 1: no to Cleveland's. If you want to if you want
- 56:59Speaker 1: to have like a a rap sheet.
- 57:01Speaker 2: Go to Cleveland.
- 57:02Speaker 3: Remember whenever, Hey, we haven't even talked about somebody that who.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Was the coach?
- 57:07Speaker 1: Who was the coach Donald who was the coach in
- 57:10Speaker 1: Cincinnati that oh went to the playoffs sign pack Man Jones,
- 57:18Speaker 1: Like his entire team was like had a rap sheet
- 57:21Speaker 1: like everybody.
- 57:22Speaker 3: There being the guy before Zach Taylor, I can't oh
- 57:25Speaker 3: talk about that melv No, No, it's it's uh no,
- 57:30Speaker 3: he's bald and he's African American. Yes, it was like
- 57:34Speaker 3: Stu Jackson, Lou Jackson and he went to No, it's
- 57:40Speaker 3: uh shit.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Anyways, that used to be the worst team. I remember that.
- 57:45Speaker 3: So we talked about Stafford, we talked about Rogers. One
- 57:48Speaker 3: person we forgot about was Donald.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Well we mentioned I mean, but we we see him,
- 57:54Speaker 1: like I said, we see him staying in you franchise,
- 58:02Speaker 1: you go two years, say that it all.
- 58:08Speaker 3: Depends on that two years. But you go two years
- 58:10Speaker 3: seventy at Tennessee.
- 58:13Speaker 2: It's gonna be depending on his want to start.
- 58:19Speaker 3: To Jackson is what his name is or something something?
- 58:22Speaker 3: It's now, it's not merv. They have had three coaches
- 58:29Speaker 3: in twenty years, Marvin. Okay, Mars, what about stud wouldn't
- 58:34Speaker 3: he there?
- 58:36Speaker 1: Mhmm. If he was, he was a gotcha this old
- 58:40Speaker 1: Dave shoeless sad watch I remember the same she went.
- 58:43Speaker 3: To Tampa after that he did, he really did.
- 58:46Speaker 2: Didn't didn't have the same magic that he did.
- 58:48Speaker 3: No, no, no, he didn't.
- 58:50Speaker 2: They really only had ten head coaches. That's crazy.
- 58:55Speaker 1: But yes, Marvin Lewis for you. No, no, it depends
- 59:00Speaker 1: on Sam Donald's want to start. If Sam Donald really
- 59:03Speaker 1: wants to start.
- 59:04Speaker 2: There are teams out there that he can go to
- 59:09Speaker 2: and he can sign.
- 59:10Speaker 3: But they signed him cheap. He had a good year.
- 59:12Speaker 3: I mean, I mean what teams want to do that.
- 59:15Speaker 2: There are teams that he can do that. He can
- 59:17Speaker 2: do it in Tennessee. He can go to Cleveland.
- 59:21Speaker 3: And what do you sign them at Tennessee? Give me
- 59:22Speaker 3: a give me a number. If you're GM, you're looking
- 59:26Speaker 3: at Sam.
- 59:26Speaker 1: I don't know what.
- 59:27Speaker 2: I don't know what. I don't know what. The base
- 59:30Speaker 2: is right now?
- 59:30Speaker 3: Base of what? You just sign him anything you want,
- 59:33Speaker 3: not a base to sign them. You have, you have
- 59:36Speaker 3: a basis, so you don't you just sign him to whatever.
- 59:38Speaker 3: You could sign a guy to three year, six million dollars.
- 59:43Speaker 1: You have, you have the amount of years that you've
- 59:45Speaker 1: been in.
- 59:46Speaker 3: It's a minimum of like too many years or whatever.
- 59:48Speaker 3: It doesn't matter, you're not.
- 59:49Speaker 2: Going to sign you.
- 59:50Speaker 3: Look at him, look at a base. He's not getting all.
- 59:53Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, I'm saying you look at it.
- 59:55Speaker 1: And then you say, okay, you're talking he's had one
- 59:57Speaker 1: good season his entire career.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Ah, that's what I'm asking. What do you do?
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: So does a three year twenty million too much?
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: That's what you say?
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I said, is it?
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Do you think that's too much?
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: No? I mean is that? I mean? Is that what
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: you're basing that on? He went thirteen and three?
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Who had one good You've had one good season your
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: entire career.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: He signed for ten million this year, one year, ten million?
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: I think I think that's what he did. Hold on,
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: I think that's what it was. I didn't live at well,
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: I'm just I'm just.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: I'm just saying you had one good season, you backloaded
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: with incentives.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: Since Margove spread to be over one hundred and sixty
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: million or four years, so that's that's the Daniel Jones.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Yes, all right, I guess you signed him to the
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Daniel Jones.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Give him the ld Jones.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: So I get so if he makes, if he So
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: the franchise tag is about you said forty, I said forty.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: I think it's going to be higher about fifty.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Like I said, take that franchise and just see.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: What it hasn't signed a four year one eighty so
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: that's fifty forty five is at forty five? Nine, Yeah,
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: it's forty five.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Remember he's getting cut, so that's out of that matter.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: He sucks. But anyway, yes, yes, but I was trying
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: to find out what the damn what the free or
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: what the what do we call it?
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: The the one year? What did what the franchise franchise?
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: Yes, yes, projected price tag match eesier man, I don't
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: know anyway, you said, what three year twenty million, seven million?
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: There's not a fucking chance backups making agents.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Take quarterback franchise tag thirty.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: Nine million, close to forty. That's Daniel Jones. Yes, but
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: that's only one year. That's only one I get it,
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: all right, So just give him the goddamn one year forty.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Give him one year forty.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: But what if he finds a team for two year
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: at seventy?
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Did you do that?
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Yes, But it all depends on his want to start,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: If he wants to start, if he doesn't believe that
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: he's not gonna be coming in.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: As the starter and they're gonna have J. J.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: McCarthy, Well, they know more than as the back. They
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: knew everybody, everybody. I mean McCartney was kicking his ass
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: in off season. I mean that was he was gonna
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: be the starter. I mean, but McCartney in a real game,
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: fucking way different matter. Look at Sam Donald, I mean
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: you know, I mean you look at pull up the schedule,
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: pull up, pull up, pull up the Vikings biking schedule
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: this year, just the Vikings, you know, win losses, who
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: they played.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: In the scores.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: I think that Sam Donald maybe got a little more credit.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: I mean, you got one of the best oc minds.
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: What do they play? And so look at the scores,
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: I mean, and we saw him.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: All right. So here it is, let's go the top.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: The top is the end. This is the beginning of
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: the season. Okay, thirty one to nine loss to Detroit. Okay,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: you win two points twenty seven to twenty five to
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: the Packers. You win three points twenty seven to twenty
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: four to Seahawks.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: You were getting ready fill a lot of trash teams.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Right, So you get thirty one, you get thirty to
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: twelve Bears, forty two to twenty one trackings and how
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: much do we realish that? Twenty three twenty two to
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: the Cardinals trash and then you only beat the Bears
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: by three.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Then you have twenty three thirteen to the Titans.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Which are trash, twelve to seven Jaguars trash, twenty one
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: to thirteen Colts. Good, you lose thirty to the Rims.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: You learn you lose by.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Two to the Lions team anyway.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Then you go on to beat the Jets twenty three
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: to seventeen. There's there's no blowout here.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: The Packers was.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Houston was the biggest blowout. Houston was the biggest.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: And and they and they and they struggled, and.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I forgot who they had were missing.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: That Listen Vikings, get rid of Sam Darnold, let them walk.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: Don't sign them for anything anything save the money. You've
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: got a ship ten of caps.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: A defensive coordinator.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: They bring Florest and that Florest is he still there?
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: Brian Flores? Uh? And they improved.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: It looks like it looks like a defend You remember,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: you remember you remember that year they went to the
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: playoffs and we were laughing and they were like, this
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: is the worst defensive team in the playoffs.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: Spend and they won with a kick. Spend some money
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: on some defensive players. Get a running back. They definitely
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: need a running back. Who they have as a running
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: back this year they got rid of Matson because they
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: two years ago.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Aaron Jones, I liked him.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: I thought he did okay injury pro true, But bring
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: out another guy, Maybe draft a guy you really fourteen
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: and three are right there. Look gent look at the
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: points four and points against. Now you beat Green Bay.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Obviously it's exactly Look at the offensive versus Yes, exactly,
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: Darnald late the guy, Uh, move on, don't spend stupid money.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: That's what I mean.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: The fact that Chicago points four points against was only sixty.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: Well, I just don't spend see that.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying. If you look at Chicago
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: who was five and twelve.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Now you're contract if you want to bring him a
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: three year twenty one million for that, yes, like that
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: three years. It's like fuck that ship or are you
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: going to go? You're gonna take the Tennessee route.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: You know he got up in Cleveland as well.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: Ah, the Cleveland deals you I don't even focusing on.
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: I don't even know. I don't even it's done. I
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: don't even I know. I know, I know it's in
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: the done, but you just can't. That's why I love
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: the free agency. The free agency is going to start.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: I think it's the twelfth of March, and then you've
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: got the Draft at the end of the in the
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: April and.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Combines coming up, which you know Travis Hunter smartly went
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: in as a defensive back.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: So we talked about that.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: We talked about how weird quarterback class this year, Kim.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: What we talked about the Giants Back to the free agency.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: Giants have the three pick. Did I talk to you,
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: We talked about Stafford would you give that up? Did
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: you say that or did you just not talk you
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: don't answer me answered no, I mean would you, as
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: the Giants, would you give the third pick up for Stafford?
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I guess you bring in an old man and wait
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: till two years down the road when better call? Maybe
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: one maybe one year?
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: Yeah, anyways, you wait till there's better quarnerback coming out.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: It's a weird draft. You can get a lot of
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: good players last you know later.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: Where is the here we are?
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I'm wanna pick uh It's it's been a toss up
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: because Tennessee needs a quarterback, Cleveland needs a quarterback.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: New York Giants need a quarterback. Travis Hunter could fall
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: to four.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: No, he won't, oh yeah, to the Patriots.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: He could.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: He could fall to the Patriots quarterback.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Raiders need a quarterback, Jets need a quarterback. There's also trades.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: We don't know what the trades are gonna look like
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: right now. His best fit, I guarantee his best fit
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: would be like Carolina.
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: Oh, I like the Jets.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: His best I know he's not U.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: But there's also talk that New York is just gonna
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: tough it out for another season.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: And you know, oh, I don't I disagree. I think
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: that tough enough. I think that I think the GM
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: and Dave Ball, I think it's Shane, it's his name, John.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: I know they're gonna have to make a bold move,
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: and I think that's why Stafford keeps getting brought up.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: Okay, so Stafford gets but you're not giving up a
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: first round and you can take You're not.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Going to But that's what the Rams are gonna want
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: to suggest, you.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Know, But but do these But does.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Does Tennessee trade out that first round?
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: God?
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: I would you still got will Evis.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: If you could get hold on what would you do?
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: Would you do three ones?
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: And a shitty team I'm gonna do. You can't no, no, no, no,
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: you can't do it, Chiefs. You can't do something like that.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: You've got to roll in with a how about if
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: the Raiders or the Panthers want to move up that
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: then you take it a franchise a normal and then
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: you gotta get You've got to get somewhere in the
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: top ten as a replacement.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: And then you and then and then you got to
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: remember that you're gonna you're gonna trade fourth rounds somewhere.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: Yes, but you you need a good first back right,
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: and then the next or whatever it's.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: It's NFL is so weird with how you draft baseball basketball.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: You just give everybody your.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: First rounds and that that shout out to twenty eight.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: He's like, the same way, Just just give them the
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: first round to be done. We're just doing so all right.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: The UFL starts March twenty eight.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: You don't.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: Everybody cares about it.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: All right. What do you got for the other news?
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: We have done nothing.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: To you love No. I think football is king.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: We just did We just did nothing with our football.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: We did that's good. Thunder yay going into the All
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: Star break. Lost last night to the Timberwolves. It's fine.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: Crazy we come back big time against the It's going
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: to be very disappointing if the Thunder don't at least
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: make it to the championship game.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: They're set up very disappointed they don't make it to
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: the title That's what I'm saying.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: The championship game. Oh, the title game. Sorry, the title
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: Miles Garrett to the books mentioned that I'm just kidding back, Hey,
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: shack the t n T. That was funny, you women.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I love shock.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: Softball's undefeated.
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: Women just today or tonight to u c l A
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: fantastics for Porter? Yeah, yeah, I'm he went into one
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: of the toughest conferences.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: I love to hire, and they just look like.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Shit, you went in undefeated, you drop four, you win one,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: you listen one.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: Porter is going to be fired if he didn't make
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: the tournament. He might be fired if he does make
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: the tournament. Animals is oh, And then you had the
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: demark and I love oh you don't we are o
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: you lovers?
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: What's going on with DeMarco?
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: Are you talking to Penn State or you want another raise?
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: I'm kind of borderline done with that a little bit.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: Why Why is this is? Why? Why is this something
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: that just keeps getting brought up? Now, if DeMarco, if
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: you didn't touch it, if you didn't talk, and it's
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: just a rumor, good for you. But if you're talking,
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: why why is this an issue? This is the second
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: year in a row. First it was Ohiowa State, Now
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: it's Penn State. What's next year? And then he stays
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: and it's like, do you want to raise? I mean
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: it's kind of borderline. God.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Still, I'm still of course about the gym. Knowles choice
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Penn States.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: Why he's from there, he's from there, He's got he's
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: from there.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: Mine is it is mine against Penn State.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: Well, Franklin's got a longer contract than I thought. Penn
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: State making a great heart. I think they're getting ready
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: to spend a bunch of money. They make the playoffs
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: and I think you watch next year, that's one team
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: that doesn't sniff anything. Yeah, I can see that because
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: the schedule, schedules are going to change quite a bit.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I haven't seen. I haven't seen, because you know.
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: Your rot the schedules sim is not going to rotate
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: like the SEC where we have the same schedule next year,
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: big ten changes.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: A lot of a lot of schedules have been released.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: Are drill. I'm just not sold on.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: Like the fact that they brought the running backs back.
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: They're talking, you know, top ten quarterback.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: I just I don't love the running backs, and I
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: do like.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: To talk about Penn State defense. It's always going to
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: be that they brought the high State's interesting. You know,
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: chip Kelly got the O c AT and and then
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: the defensive coordinator Knowles lift to Penn State, and of
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: course the promoter heartline, who's a good records? Your coordinators?
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: How does it?
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: What does it say as a coach, you're not.
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: It's it's well, one went to the NFL, so you
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: can't back for the NFL back to the and which good? Uh?
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: Losing him to a.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: T that was.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: What does that say about?
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: I don't know. Does that say there's something in the
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: culture up there, there's something going on? I would agree
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: I might find that out. I would agree with that.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: I'm I'm I'm gonna go up there in April.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: Of course, you know you talk about, oh you we
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: lost our DC and he went to West Virginia.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: Yeah, what what is up with our culture?
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: And then our head coach goes, hey, I'll call the place,
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: which is great?
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: Well, he did try, he did Troy.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: Then Knowles deal was I think you kind of wonder
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: look at that with the Knowles deal more of a
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: push by upper management.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe I don't know what's going on
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: in college football is in disarray.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: Until we get done with his n.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: I L transfer double two transfer portals, I'm with I
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: am with them.
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: On Uh, it's got to be after the ball game
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: spring transfer port get rid of the one that's the
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: only one.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: If you want to keep the two transfer portals, Okay,
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: do you one in January?
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Keep no hold on?
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: Keep the one transfer portal for baseball. Talking about fall gymnastics,
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: if you want.
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: To have, if you want to spring and fall.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't like the war. I agree, but but
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I know, but that's what I'm saying, So you need
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: to Okay, Spring is for football and did a couple
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: other sports.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: Fall is only for these sports.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: Gotcha, we could do that.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you keep, you can keep, but just say, okay,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: you can only transfer if you play.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: I just don't like the whole thing about the transfer portals.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: I don't like the timing right after the season ends.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: That's like you're going to.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: And everybody's done, and the kids.
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: Of course, that is a bidding war though.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: You've got kids setting up for that, You've got kids
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: setting out to go pro, you kids coming back, You've
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: got uh now well, and also we forget that this
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: season that college football went through the cutdown of the
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: roster and that's why, oh you lost a.
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: Couple to only turn around and company to go back. Yeah, correct,
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: so we do have that. I mean, I just I
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: love This is my not favorite time of year, because
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: my favorite time of.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Years because starting.
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: It's the free agency is what are you going to spend?
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: How are you going to make better? How can we
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: critique you?
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: And oh the combine starting and who's coming out?
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: And so what about hold on a couple of teams
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: that I think has got a little bit of talent.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: I want to name three teams. We'll talk about it
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: next week. Three teams, No, I can tell I remember
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: the Colts is.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: One massive talent that that just was on what they do.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: I'm Arizona Cardinals.
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: That's my second.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: Very good talent. Where as they go forward to take
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: a step back?
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: And then where does the Raiders fit in new coaching?
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: Good defense? The defense is good, they've always struggled on offense.
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: That's the three teams that make me and and I
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: can slide the Patriots in there because that's pretty good
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: and they've got money and they've got money. Okay, what's
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: the fifth?
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: So we've got number one Colts, Arizona, you're right, Just
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: number three Las Vegas, number four New England and number
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: five on you know I have a playoff team, don't
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: I would say Seattle? They're they're on the outskirts. Okay,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Seattle was a very surprising team this year.
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: Yeah, didn't make the playoffs and I.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Picked and you said don't You said, don't name a
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: playoff and they didn't. But that's what I'm saying. They
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: are a very surprising team. They beat teams they weren't
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: supposed to and then they lost the teams that they were.
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: It was so much better than I forgot.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: I saw that come through.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: Uh well, I think and and then I think it's right?
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: Is like A'm sorry? Is uh oh?
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: Clint Kubia, Yeah, Kurt and his his dad would be
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: the Kubiak that used to be at Din Mike QB,
- 1:17:01Speaker 5: Jim K.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: But what my deal is is, is Gino Smith back?
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: I again, question Drew lock, Tyler Lockett, h d J, Matt.
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: Or d K.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: There's a lot of there's a lot of a lot
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: is going to be.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: Back because I think that we don't have an option
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: we're not.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Looking at is not bad, We're not looking at Seattle,
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: but we don't even understand.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: Hey, guess what, there's a lot of questions with that.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: Team right now. Who's coming back because those guys are
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: aging out?
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: Well, Smith and good. Tyler Lockett's good, he's older. Who's that?
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: That's the deal?
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Alexander, that's Alexander. Yeah. He was the kid that they
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: had Sharboney who would run? He did okay, but there
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: was the kid that was in front of him. And
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: I forgot that guy's name because Kenneth Walker. Oh yeah,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: of course, because remember Zach had no Michigan. I believe.
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: All right, Well, tough division, though it depends on what
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: the Rams do. You said San Francisco and ask what
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: are they gonna do? That was the most disappointing team.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: And that's what I love is because you got the
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: Rams San Francisco and then the Cardinals kind of get
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: fucked because you know that that that is just a
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: good division.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: It's funny that we picked two teams in the top
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: five from the same division.
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: Yes, correct, because that's the most I mean you look
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: at it and you think, can they best what else
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: you've got, which is kind of trash, which I would
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: like to go back and probably maybe pick the Falcons
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: at six because I think with uh Phoenix as the
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: full time but you're gonna think generational running back, think
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: about what happened, don't like their coaching staff.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: But the l a Ms we have the l a
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Rams picked low because they lost a lot of guys.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: We pick the on them. Yes, even with the rookies
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: coming to Minzona, we picked no.
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: I mean, you've got Stafford, You've got mc bay, you
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: got Puka Cup he's leaving, and then you've got who's
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: the running backs that everyone loves, William wils Yeah. So
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: I mean we thought that they would be better, and
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: they were. But the Stafford deal is going to be
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: interesting to see what they do. I love that aspect
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: of the dramaticness of that go Thunder going to All
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: Star Break first in the West, lost the last one.
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: I think you're back six seven games that we didn't
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: talk about the Luca trade. Luca, if Anthony Davis, hold
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: on real quick, if Anthony Davis stays healthy, he's not
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: He's already injured.
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: I know, I know.
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: If he stayed healthy and it's the season is not over,
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: it's best for Dallas to win in two years. I
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: thought that Luca was a future. I think Lebron's leaving.
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: I think Luca was the future, and Lebron's like, I'm
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: not playing with him or I'm going somewhere else where
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: does he go? That's interesting. I thought the Jimmy Butler
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: trade to Little Golden State was interesting only because that
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: Durant was like, I'm not fucking going back there, and
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: I love that, and I'm not a big Kevin Durant fan,
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: but he was.
- 1:20:16Speaker 5: He was.
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: I love that he said that I'm not doing it,
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: so all right, I love y'all see it. We'll see
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: you next week.
