to our mother, the Earth which sustains us. We return thanks to the

• 1:19
this tree stands as a symbol of what nature and us can do together the
• 1:26
heal the world. But we've got to work much harder. We must respect
• 1:30
each other, no matter what country, religion, or culture, but we
• 1:34
must respect the natural world. Unless we can interact better with the natural world
• 1:42
in more harmony, world peace will be impossible because if you lose water,
• 1:46
if the climate changes, if the whole world is polluted, how can there
• 1:51
be peace between men? The word piece has many possible meanings, and the
• 1:57
Messenger of Peace program has been idle to addressing some of the most pressing challenges
• 2:02
of our time, head on poverty, disease, human suffering, issues which
• 2:08
defy the very concept of peace. So today I want everyone here to commit
• 2:15
to join the quest for peace. Go forward in the struggle for peace with
