- 0:00Ladies and gentlemen without further ado. It's the hypothetical situation game we play on
- 0:04Fridays and it's famously called what do you do a man to hit me?
- 0:11With? The first one? Play along in your car. By the way,
- 0:13we're still working on that at home board game version of Oh Well,
- 0:16Speaking of cars, Pike, you get a call. You want a free
- 0:21car, any car you want. The only catch, of course, there's
- 0:26a catch with it. You know that goes you have to ride in the
- 0:30car across the country. It's the car of your dreams. But that car
- 0:35that you have to ride in around the country is in the back of a
- 0:39semi like the trailers that are on there with eight cars where you know they're
- 0:44like bouncing around Dan Sometimes you think if you're behind one, is that going
- 0:49to come off there and hit me? So again, you have to ride
- 0:53that bad boy all over the country, every single road in the country in
- 0:57order to get your free car, every in the country, every road.
- 1:00You know how obscene that is. It's a free car, Pike. I
- 1:03told you there was a little bit of a catch, So Pike, I
- 1:10know, I mean just bouncing it looks a little dangerous. Can somebody intern
- 1:15Grace, can you google how many total miles of roadway there are in the
- 1:19United States? I think to me, that seems honestly like that would take
- 1:23a lifetime. Oh, I don't know about that. I mean, And
- 1:26by the way, free car, shmree car. I already drive a paid
- 1:29off on Ultima. Okay that only has a little wear and tear. How
- 1:33many, according to Google, four point one nine million miles. Oh geez,
- 1:38okay, that's it pretty reasonable. I'll stick with the Ultima. Thanks.
- 1:41Amanda. All right, you're what do you do? You're at the
- 1:45bar on a Sunday with your husband Nick, saying, some dude having some
- 1:49drinks the vikings just lost yet again. Your server an attractive young woman.
- 1:56It's kind of rubbed you the wrong way all day, sort of making it
- 1:59seem like she was annoyed every time you ordered a new drink, like it
- 2:01wasn't her job. Got it. Finally, this isn't a true story,
- 2:06by the way. Finally the bill comes and when it's time to fill out
- 2:09the tip line, she looks at your husband Nick and says you can come
- 2:14back anytime and winks. So Amanda, Oho, this one is feisty you
- 2:23coming in hot ht what do you do well? How many cocktails in my
- 2:30head? A Sunday's worse a Sunday A couple of Brusque's in me. I
- 2:37uh, I'm gonna give her the stank guy for sure. And you say
- 2:44anything, I don't think I'll say anything. I'll probably be really weird and
- 2:47like make out with my husband or something, make it like really uncomfortable,
- 2:53and then I'm not. I don't know if I've ever not left a tip.
- 2:57No tip, lady, not a tip. No, Well, here's
- 3:01a tip back up off my man, one of those you see on the
- 3:06Facebook where you right, don't wink at my husband. It'll cost you all
- 3:13right, pike, last one for you. So there is a man you
- 3:16know and he's in danger. You don't really know me that well. It's
- 3:22just this guy from DGF named Marvin. Everybody knows Marvell Starvin Marvin. Yeah,
- 3:27everybody knows Marv. He hangs out at the Hill the bar over there
- 3:30all the time. People just know him. Probably got his own seat at
- 3:35the bar. Just everybody knows Marv. Right, he's not doing well,
- 3:38though. You are the only one that is going to be able to save
- 3:43his life. He just needs your kidney. That's it. Okay, So
- 3:46Pike, I mean it's Marv. Everybody knows him. Stay close. Let's
- 3:53go. Fifty four a lot of years left on Marv. I'm sorry,
- 4:00Marv. What, No, You're the only person to keep him alive?
- 4:05Why am I the only one? Do I have some sort of unique kidneys
- 4:09that only match with Mark me kidney? Huh? I can't. I can't
- 4:12do it. I only got two. I don't have a kidney to spare.
- 4:15I don't have a kidney to spare. Wow, I'm sorry, Marv.
- 4:17Learning a lot about fifty four though, that's not a bad run.
- 4:23Oh God, mar You get a call, Amanda, your turn last one.
- 4:28You get a call one day from a head hunter at a big oil
- 4:30company in rural Alaska. They say they like the work you do. Yeah,
- 4:36and they offer you ten times your salary currently to move your family to
- 4:42rural Alaska to work on their oil rig. Now it's not laborous work.
- 4:46They'll just have you standing there for ten hours a day holding a sign that
- 4:49says careful, slippery oil ahead. So, Amanda, Monday, for your
- 4:58Friday, ten hours a day, you work. You work every other Saturday,
- 5:04but then you have an extra day off during the week. I'm in
- 5:08ten times your salary. You're moving to Alaska. North to Alaska. Kids.
- 5:13Yeah, come on, salmon fishing. We go. Okay, Audios
- 5:16see ten times. Get into Gracie. You're up. You hear that you're
- 5:21in the game. Gracie and Pike in the morning. In the morning,
- 5:26big Nutty eight point seven. Well, it's out at the National Toy Hall
- 5:30of Fame inductee nominations for twenty twenty three. Okay, I feel like,
- 5:35how are they not all in there at this point? You know, we've
- 5:39been doing this for how long? Yeah, I guess toys have changed a
- 5:42little bit. I don't want to spoil it. I have no idea what's
- 5:45on this list. But for me, I could spend an hour a day
- 5:48playing with magnetiles. That is my favorite. When the kids want to bring
- 5:51out their magnetized Now, what are magnetized? Ye? Those little squares are
- 5:56triangles. They're different colors, and then they're magnets and you connect them together
- 6:00and you can make castles or whatever. Man, that's so fun. I
- 6:02love building a good castle. They're so fun. Well, without further ado,
- 6:06the inductee. Nominations for this year include bop It, which was just
- 6:12a I was. You wouldn't believe this man, I was the Boppet king
- 6:15back in the day. Loved it. I think I'm like Spencer an entire
- 6:23Saturday one day just bopping it. I loved the skip it Skip It was
- 6:27good. Okay, so that's still out. I've never I don't feel like
- 6:30I see anybody on TikTok or kids or anybody using the boppet. I don't
- 6:34you know, I don't know what. It's great for motor scales, hand
- 6:36eye coordination. Yeah, and it's good for twisting things. You guys may
- 6:41have noticed that I'm exceptionally good at twisting it is that? Is that what
- 6:44it is? Oh? And if you need somebody to bop it, I'm
- 6:46your guy. Another nomination this year was the Cabbage Patch Kids. How's that
- 6:51not in there yet? As I call it? You guys have Gracie.
- 6:55Did you have Cabbage Patch kids grown up? I had a few of them.
- 6:57Yeah, yeah, I feel like am I I don't really remember.
- 7:00I never saved one. Ugly little things, weren't they. Yes, they're
- 7:02a little nose in their little arms and they're not around. I don't think
- 7:06anymore. My sister had a whole family of cabbage patch kids and we would
- 7:10have to It was so annoying as her older brothers, she would have to
- 7:13bring them. Like if we just went to cash wise everywhere, they had
- 7:15a cart full of cabbage patch kids, Like, can we just leave them?
- 7:18We leave the kids at home today. They want to stay in bed
- 7:23today. Sis. The Choose your Own Adventure books don't recall that choose your
- 7:29own Adventure books? Is that where you like, I don't know, you
- 7:31decide the ending or something. I don't know you looked that up. But
- 7:34Connects four is another one, and that's a heavy hitter. Okay. I
- 7:38have some beef about that game. I bought it online for the kids because
- 7:42I'm like, oh, this is gonna be great because they like Connect four
- 7:45garbage. The quality of it, like you had to put it together.
- 7:49It broke in two seconds, Like it's so plasticky. Now it is a
- 7:53little like yet with chinsey Is that a word for it? Chin Yeah,
- 7:57it feels like a slurn And I don't know, maybe I got a knockoff
- 8:01connect for but I was not happy about but they having a lot of bars,
- 8:03or like at my apartment, like the game room they got they got
- 8:05connect for there, or you got like the life size connect for you ever
- 8:09played that? Yeah, the little red reading bruss bus that comes to town.
- 8:11Yea, our little neighborhood. They bring that out and that's where the
- 8:15kids learned how to play it and had fun. I was on a cruise
- 8:18ship years ago as a young man, and they have like this big family
- 8:22game night or whatever, and they have this life size connect for and so
- 8:24they call contestants up. You're in a big theater. It's like a game
- 8:26show, you know. So I got called up and I just suddenly became
- 8:30the villain of this cruise ship because there was a young kid who I was
- 8:33going up against and I just smoked him, like no holds bar, just
- 8:35smoked him. And I got in their face. I started like waving my
- 8:39arms of the crowd and they're just booing and I was just yucking it up.
- 8:45Kind of animal? Are you an absolute monster? Amanda? And so
- 8:46the rest of the trip, everyone who saw me was just like sneering at
- 8:50me, like, oh, that guy there is Choose your Own Adventure books.
- 8:54I looked it up and these do not ring any bells to me.
- 8:56I don't recall. Maybe made could be fiction. The little Tykes Cozy Coop.
- 9:03Yeah, that's the the one that you think of like a a Christmas
- 9:07card where everybody like you sit in it, the little the cozy coop,
- 9:11like the little idea van kind of thing. Yellow. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:18okay, got you. I think that's what it is. Nerve toys,
- 9:20now that's something I can get on board. With NERF guns, NERF footballs.
- 9:26It's all fun and games until they get a little wild. What NERF
- 9:28guns. Yeah, kids, my nephew shot me recently. That's what I'm
- 9:33saying. Absolutely offended that could that could really get somebody. You get one
- 9:37in the eyeball right, absolutely, I know you didn't know where face mask,
- 9:41because when you're playing with NERF guns these days. Absolutely. And then
- 9:43the final toy Inductor nominated this year was the just Slime, Just simply Slime.
- 9:50I was more of a ghack girl myself. Ga, oh my god.
- 9:54Every time we went to cash Wise, I would get some gag emeric
- 9:58really putty. It was always good. I mean when you release think I
- 10:01could sit there still to this day if somebody gives me any of those things.
- 10:05I can sit there and maybe it's because it's like a stress reliever or
- 10:09something for me play with him for hours. Oh my gosh, we gotta
- 10:11get some gag. I think you can make it now. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:15they have all kinds of recipes. In the morning seven, Well,
- 10:24it's today's variety, pig nighty hit point seven. What's up, Pike and
- 10:26Amanda in the morning on your Friday? Yes, finally Friday weather looking great,
- 10:31sunshine seventy two and look at it head of your forecast for the weekend.
- 10:33Gonna be pretty nice about seventy all. We can love it. Finally
- 10:37Friday, And finally somebody has stepped up and decided to bring back one of
- 10:41the greatest fashion eras of our lifetimes. Oh yeah, George. Guess why
- 10:46got George are back? And you can thank Generation Z for that. They've
- 10:50changed how we dress, of course, and now George's are in. You've
- 10:54see it everywhere. I see photos all the time, people rocking the cut
- 10:58off Jean Jean Shore. I mean, I feel like the girls have kind
- 11:01of been able to rock that, except for we're spending like eighty dollars for
- 11:03a pair of George when you probably could create your own You absolutely not throwing
- 11:11shade. But I will tell you a small town girl population three hundred and
- 11:15three in Deer Creek, Minnesota, George never went away. I mean you
- 11:20see you go to the like small town parades and stuff like that. You're
- 11:24like, man, you've been owning these looks for years. Oh it's kind
- 11:28of like the mullet. You know, everybody's coming back. They're like,
- 11:30oh yeah, bring in the mullet. Some guys are like, I've been
- 11:31doing that since the eighties. It ain't ever left. I love it.
- 11:35You know. In Georgia, it's kind of like when I remember back in
- 11:37the day when you still have holes in your jeans occasionally. Oh yeah,
- 11:41but like two thousands era tunnel, like just the more ripped up Abercrombie jeans
- 11:46you could find the better. And then you have the older generation being like
- 11:48I could do I could make those for free. I will never forget my
- 11:52grandpa. He's one of those guys. Every time he's like, what you
- 11:56got in your jeans? You would you pay for those jeans? What do
- 11:58you gotten your jeans? Grandpa? Mind your own business, Jeeves. But
- 12:03it is I mean, when you think about it, how ridiculous, and
- 12:05they're kind of back like those boyfriend jeans that people are wearing, and then
- 12:09they are just I mean, the entire fronts are just completely ripped apart.
- 12:15H huh. You can see more leg than you can Jean. You know,
- 12:18yeah, it's basically we might as well be naked. Why not?
- 12:20Then Grandpa wouldn't have to wonder so much? Did you ever rock George?
- 12:24Do you have George's? No, but I do have some jeans that are
- 12:28probably on the verge of becoming George because they're you know, as you know,
- 12:31I wear the same ones every day. I'm trying to remember. Why
- 12:35do I feel before you left to Florida? Did you do an on stage
- 12:39for like Happy Harry's Rotten smash Mouth on God Rest His Soul Steve Harwell,
- 12:45but no, yeah, we cut off. I borrowed Lawrence shorts, actually
- 12:50my wife's shorts. Seeing just seeing a whole lot of leg from you,
- 12:54it sounds like you want me to bring them back, say less, can't
- 12:58wait for next summer? Like one minute in the morning. Are you a
- 13:05hang out with the coworkers type of person or ea what they call a five
- 13:07oh one and I'm done five o'clock because the Wall Street Journal has written this
- 13:13big expose about how nowadays many employees are adopting the stricter five oh one and
- 13:20I'm done attitude with their work schedules. They say, us workers are trying
- 13:24to draw thicker lines between work and the rest of their life. That means
- 13:28clocking out, going home, no more happy hours. They're tired of the
- 13:31happy hours. Really, that is interesting. I guess for us, we
- 13:35have kind of a different lifestyle. So I'm a good lunch curl. I
- 13:37like, I'll meet people for lunch or yeah, hang out for a little
- 13:41bit, but be hammered by four. I like to be home, yes,
- 13:45and be with your family and kind of shut it down a little bit.
- 13:46And I think one thing maybe is the biggest factor about this is when
- 13:52you work all day and then if you go out with your friends from work,
- 13:54you're talking about work, and then it's all about work all the time,
- 13:56and you just kind of get to that point where you're like, is
- 14:00enough, And I feel that crosses over and it gets a little lay totally
- 14:03and it's just not productive. Back in the day, like it was much
- 14:07more of a thing, especially without social media and whatnot that you had to
- 14:09like do all that schmoozing because it literally would get you further in your career.
- 14:13Like if you're not the one that's out of the happy hours and you're
- 14:16not having beers with the boss, your odds are getting that promotion probably a
- 14:18little smaller, probably when the guy who's out there, you know, making
- 14:22memories. No, I hear you, And I do think that. I
- 14:24do think a lot of people have their friends that they'd rather hang out with
- 14:28their family, and you just kind of have to set that boundary. And
- 14:31that's the other thing, like your job. And it's not to say you
- 14:33can't have meaningful relationships at work, but at the same time, it's like
- 14:37they're coworkers. You know, you don't have to have a strong you know,
- 14:39you don't need to waste half your day yucking it up in the hallways
- 14:43all the time. Yeah, but I mean it does maybe help your work
- 14:46environment if you're having fun. So there's you know, there's two sides.
- 14:48I was gonna say, I think there is a balance. I think if
- 14:52you're all the time going and that's all you're doing, that's a lot different
- 14:56than every once in a while and I also think it's more meaningful if you
- 14:58do with every couple of months or you know, once a quarter, getting
- 15:03together with everybody and having a good time, and you're like, oh,
- 15:05that was great. But there's also that line of if you're together too much,
- 15:09gonna make it a little oh for sure. You know. I found
- 15:13this interesting stat as I was digging through research for this story. Younger Americans
- 15:18are drinking less, they say to Share, people between eighteen and thirty four
- 15:20who say they drink alcohol at all has fallen all the way to sixty two
- 15:24percent. It's crazy. Dustin from Happy Harry's Bottle Shops he uh well dry
- 15:28January, he brought in some like really cool cocktails, and then a couple
- 15:31this summer, and he's even said that, he said, it's amazing how
- 15:35many people are going to mocktails and how many bars if you go to a
- 15:37bigger city, how they have bars that are just mocktail bars, just coming
- 15:41up with the exact same drink, just no alcohol. But some of them
- 15:45have like kind of the flavor of it still, which is really weird.
- 15:48Yeah, And I've had the thought too, you know, as we we
- 15:50do enjoy having a drink or two you and I. You know, guilty
- 15:54is charged with the drinking, but you know, it would be nice to
- 15:56just have a cut, you know, because I do like the taste after
- 15:58what I remember the beer or drink you ever had. You're like, how
- 16:02can how on earth do people enjoy this? Like people think I just drink
- 16:04wine because it's whatever. I love parrying wine and food like that is that's
- 16:08my thing. I really try to enjoy it. Yeah, but you probably
- 16:14feel that way now about I pas like the flavor of it is really good,
- 16:18and you you grow up and you get a palette and it does taste
- 16:22good. But don't you also think that duh, I don't know, like
- 16:25CBD and like things like that, like gummy is that generation that's their choice?
- 16:30Absolutely? Absolutely young people now now with it being legalized all over the
- 16:33place, you know, it's like, yeah, you know, I can
- 16:36still get a little loosey goosey and have some fun, have some laughs and
- 16:38then wake up feeling pretty normal. Like here I am selling myself on it.
- 16:47Like in Amanda in the Morning on Big Nutty eight point seven, you're
- 16:51ready ready, that's he is piping hots today. No, Amanda stills the
- 16:56Sea looks see. Despite rumors that one of the reported guests on Taylor Swift's
- 17:03nineteen eighty nine Taylor's Version re record, It's never ever ever gonna happen.
- 17:07There's been a lot of rumors that maybe Mattie Healy or nineteen seventy five We're
- 17:11going to be on the album, and she's not having that. Well,
- 17:14who said that? Why would she do that? The guy she dated for
- 17:17four minutes? I think because he was originally on it, wasn't he Wasn't
- 17:21he a part of some of those songs? It's on Gracie Grab your mic.
- 17:23You look completely baffled that a man would throw out a rumor like that
- 17:27nineteen eighty nine's album. Was Maddie Healy on that I know of? You
- 17:32would know? I know Jack Antonoff was part of it. Okay, where'd
- 17:34you get that wild rumor? Well? I knew that he was on some
- 17:37songs, so I just kind of threw it out there with Laye Milly.
- 17:40I knew he was a musicians. Sure, How am I even credible at
- 17:48this point? I mean, honestly, this story's probably fake too. No,
- 17:51this is actually really exciting because I was very excited about trollscery and the
- 17:56fact that I'm going to be able to take my kids to the theater going
- 18:00see this movie. After watching the full trailer this morning, I mean,
- 18:03Pike, this looks like a good movie. Oh, absolutely, every such
- 18:07a job of these new kids movies. Well, yeah, because it's also
- 18:10jokes for the parents. I mean, there's so many like things in there.
- 18:12And I'm sure people felt that way about some of the other Disney movies
- 18:17back in the day. But you don't think Lion King had a couple couple
- 18:18of lines for the adults couple dingers in there. Well, we did get
- 18:22a little sneak of instincts new song right before in Sync starts singing in this
- 18:27trailer, the trolls are doing just Backstreet Boys, Yeah, and it sounds
- 18:33great. You're like, Okay, this is good. And then in Sync
- 18:34comes in with their new song better Place You tell Me just I mean,
- 18:48yeah, it sounds great. I mean it's a little tease. It's gonna
- 18:51be good. You know, Like nowadays, there's just like such a formula
- 18:55for creating like a Bobby Pops on I suppose, like, how could they
- 18:57come out with a stinkard? They're not it's gonna be a good song too,
- 19:00because I forget that, you know, admittedly not a big trolls guy,
- 19:04but I remember that can't stop the feeling was from trolls, right,
- 19:07yes? Yeah, I mean, geez yeah, they got a little track
- 19:10record. So are you meaning to tell me you think by Christmas in Sync
- 19:14is going to be back on the airwaves here, I'm thinking every wedding you'll
- 19:17be out for the next like ten years. Better place going to be there,
- 19:19all right? And I guess this is good news, but also still
- 19:25very concerning to me. Britty Spears is no longer seen, her former housekeeper
- 19:29and convicted felon. We found out about him this week, Paul Richard Solis.
- 19:33I guess they had a short flinging together after Sam left, and she
- 19:37just looked up with him a couple of times. And now she's admitting that
- 19:40she did not know about his criminal past, and she is no longer in
- 19:42communication with him. So all that aside. My concern is, is you
- 19:48just let anybody into clean your house, and you just let anybody in around
- 19:51you, like, how was there no background checks on any of them?
- 19:55Felons need jobs too, and if they can aunt clean toilets. Then what
- 20:02But my second, if you're Brittney Spears on your on that caliber and there's
- 20:06nobody around you vetting or protecting you to some degree, I guess just seems
- 20:11a little weird to me. You thinks she was playing it a little fast
- 20:14and loose. I think she might have been yep, like in a minute
- 20:18in the morning on DAG ninety eight point seven. Now here's what you need
- 20:26to know. Do not forget tomorrow morning at seven am, the implosion of
- 20:30the Laskowitz high Rise is going to be happening. Anybody who is not aware
- 20:33of it, and you live in that area, it's gonna be a little
- 20:37startling at seven am when the implosion happens. They do say that their exclusion
- 20:41zone from five thirty to nine thirty is when people are going to be out
- 20:45of that area. There are a lot of people that want to go down
- 20:47and do the viewing. So again that's going to be at about seven o'clock.
- 20:49They'll have everything. Yeah and wait please do I mean, I will
- 20:53say yeah, bringing your kids out. I remember when I was young and
- 20:56they did the same thing to one of the dorms at MSUM. It's a
- 21:00pretty tall building. My stepmom and my dad brought me out there, and
- 21:03it was like it was a cool memory. You know, there's a cool
- 21:03thing to see it just there's just a building explode. I mean yeah,
- 21:07because you see it in the movies. You see some of that. It's
- 21:10very not very often that people do stuff like this, but I will say
- 21:12r I p to what was a pretty iconic building here in the Fargo area.
- 21:17I mean the growing up that, Like to me, that building was
- 21:19taller than the Empire State Building. Yeah, when I was kiss I'm like,
- 21:22oh my, I remember when I was a little flying into Fargo to
- 21:26see like whenever I was in Colorado and doing that, like that was the
- 21:29only I was it. Right, it's all you saw. Now they're gonna
- 21:33put like a bank or something there. I'm sure they're probab condos or something.
- 21:37And Taylor Swift's Era's tour. The movie is hitting theaters on October thirteenth,
- 21:42and I just can't believe that people are going to see this movie.
- 21:45I don't know why. It's one thing if you're going to the concert,
- 21:48but now people are spending so much money to go see because they didn't get
- 21:52tickets to the tour, or maybe if you're like in turn Gracie went to
- 21:56two of her shows and you also got tickets to see this. You're just
- 22:00given her so much money. I mean, her debut weekend is going to
- 22:03be they're estimating one hundred million dollars. Hey, just for this movie.
- 22:07Just milking every bit of this, just hype of the aerostour. It's crazy.
- 22:12Just in comparison, Barbie was the biggest movie of the year and it
- 22:15opened at one hundred and fifty five million dollars at the box office. Man,
- 22:19it would be interesting. Although, as I've stated after the VMA,
- 22:22is getting a little annoyed. Aren't we getting a little annoyed of her?
- 22:26Gracie? I mean, there are some people who have been really annoyed for
- 22:30for a lot of years. To be completely honest, as you know,
- 22:36we all like Risa's peanut butter cups, nickers. What other good items are
- 22:41you going for it? You straight to the top. Those are the big
- 22:44boys. Yeah, everyone's while, we'll do some skittles, But a thousand
- 22:47grand, million bar whatever they're called, the hundred grand bar, that is
- 22:51a good one. Now, maybe you want to switch things up this Halloween
- 22:52Kraft Hyn's company has planned to release three new gummy candies for Halloween, the
- 22:57Kraft Mac and Cheese noodle, the Oscar Meyer hot Dogs and the cloths and
- 23:03Pickles. No great gummies. No, like when you get jellybellies or anything
- 23:08like that and they like the popcorn one or something that tastes off. I
- 23:12can't do the texture of that. Thinking that maybe the noodle for the mac
- 23:17and cheese would be the closest, but I'm not gonna be able to have
- 23:19an oscar Meyer hot dog gummy and have that taste like a hot dog.
- 23:25Why not you ever just drink hot dog water because you like the flavor.
- 23:29What are you doing putting us all on a diet this morning? Gross?
- 23:33That's what I'm doing. You drink hot dog water now? I like because
- 23:37it's sterile and I like the taste. Not you a liar, So just
- 23:41salty gross water. You ever need to hydrate yourself, You need a little,
- 23:44Oh it's a full, it's chock full of electrolyte. And try it
- 23:47sometimes and that soundstimes You forget a hot dogs in there and you go,
- 23:49oh my god, you aren't killing me right now? You listen, No,
- 23:56you listen, this is me. This is me raw and authentic,
- 24:00and if you can't handle it, you can leave the I love your unauthentic
- 24:03or your authentic self that you're on putting out there. Thank you, oh
- 24:07girl. Anyway, anyway, sunshine today, Hi you seventy two weather.
- 24:11It is going to be great tomorrow for tailgating about seventy We could actually see
- 24:15like eighty eighty five early next week. I love it, Amanda in the
- 24:19morning, big nutty eight point seven. It is time for the Voice of
- 24:22the Bison a little way bam. Thank you, Sam. Thanks for our
- 24:27friends over a Gateway Chevrolet. We do it every Friday, we check in
- 24:30with the Voice of the Bison. Sam. Thanks for popping in today.
- 24:33Hey, thanks man, I appreciate it. Another good weekend of Bison football
- 24:37coming up, and good to have Pike here with us. Sam missed last
- 24:41you know, yeah, we really missed him. I know it's just you
- 24:44and Amanda, but I do have to say to you, Sam, thank
- 24:45you for carrying the team. I'm come on these a little and the hold.
- 24:52I had some serious questions. I mean, first of all, it
- 24:56was your first Bison home game, so let's talk about your tailgate experience.
- 24:59You don't my tail I gotta be completely honest with you, guys. I
- 25:03didn't get to do as much as I wanted to. I was able to
- 25:06kind of get a like a sampling, A sampling this week will be a
- 25:08little more because I woke up and I was like, you know what,
- 25:11I'm gonna sleep. It'd have been a long, long wake. So I
- 25:15was in my pajamas walking through Hornbockers, getting some groceries to get a little
- 25:19breakfast going before going over to the tailgate. So jammers do you wear?
- 25:25Oh, that's a good question. Actually I shouldn't even call it. It
- 25:29would just shorts a T shirt. I mean, yeah, do you have
- 25:32like a full on onesie going on when you went to the now that's cooling
- 25:36off? Are you gonna have like jammie pants? You know, I've never
- 25:38wore pants. I've always kind of wanted to sleep cold, so jammy pants.
- 25:44But I've been kind of this point, like to give you all this
- 25:45free Bison gear when you get here. They haven't given me a set of
- 25:48pajamas, and that would have been a nice touchy ndsc If for're listening,
- 25:53we're gonna need some Bison jammy pants for man, man of the sense I'm
- 25:57getting here and I A lot of people are wondering, does the voice of
- 26:00the NDCU Bison sleep naked? I'm a cool sleep that's you. We don't
- 26:08need to make Why do we got to do this? Just leave it to
- 26:12the imagination. Yeah. Yeah. In other news, he made a very
- 26:18bold statement last week. You said it was going to be a complete shutout,
- 26:21and you were almost there, almost there, man, I told you
- 26:23guys, right, did I tell you? And the starters had a shut
- 26:27out. They got the touchdown with some of the backups, and so,
- 26:30I mean he didn't want to embarrass them completely. They had to give up
- 26:33some sort of consolation prize. But yeah, I was sitting there, Yes,
- 26:37gonna get this shut out, and then late in the fourth quarter they
- 26:40end up getting a touchdown. Do you have a little I don't like to
- 26:42bring up my like high school experience in my sports and everything. See he
- 26:45always brings it back there. There's one topical here because we had a shut
- 26:48out going when us a sophomore on the team and d so the backups got
- 26:52in. My buddy was the backup hunter, so he got to punt it
- 26:55was a real windy day over there, and he punted it straight up in
- 26:59the air and it blew backwards through the gave up. The Shott seniors never
- 27:03forgave him. Oh my god. Yeah, he would never be able to
- 27:07live that down. That is brutal. I mean you're talking about it twenty
- 27:10years later. Pike. His name A chill. What's his name? Cody
- 27:15Branner If you're listening, we'll never right under the bus, Cody never forget
- 27:21man, nice kid, all right, Marl liisentiale gating. You're gonna get
- 27:25out in your jammy pants. Yeah, see what's going on. But then
- 27:29also there's a big game. What do we got Yeah, big game.
- 27:32We're playing another team that's called the Bears. Last week it was the main
- 27:36Black Bears. This week we're playing the Central Arkansas Bears. Okay black Bears,
- 27:40as were different. They're just like normal bears. Yeah, jetty Bears.
- 27:45Yeah, I mean like their purple, purple is their color. But
- 27:48there's no purple. There's no purple Bear that I'm aware of. What do
- 27:51we call him? The pool Bears? There you go, yeah, care
- 27:53bears If they're that's cute. No, I forgot about care bears. That's
- 27:57kind of a throwback, right they're a little bellies had the rainbow, Yeah
- 28:02yeah, or Teletubbies where they bears they kind of like you know what they
- 28:07were, they were like aliens? Yeah, what is this stake? If
- 28:11you guys see this thing about the aliens that they found in Mexico, we've
- 28:15seen it. Yeah, we talked about it all day. I mean Amanda
- 28:18doesn't believe it. She's never been a believers. Never the corpse, right,
- 28:22it looks like et Yeah, it does look like I mean, there's
- 28:25no it looks like they just made it as like a publicity stunt. That's
- 28:27kind of I oh, you don't say, yeah, that's what it's got
- 28:32a base. But fossils were formed thousands of years ago? Is in an
- 28:34algae cave? Sam? Well, I know, man, like I believe
- 28:38it Aliens? Like personally, I really do. I believe it. Aliens
- 28:41Like they're out there somewhere. Are they are those like they're right here before?
- 28:45Yeah? Yes, I mean I don't remember what did they say,
- 28:48like where did they find those? Or you know there were there were some
- 28:52missing details, Sam, But bottom line yet yeah right right? Okay,
- 28:56b game, this will be a closer game the last week. I think
- 29:00it's actually going to be a pretty good matchup there. There's got a pretty
- 29:03good program and Boobears were not Yeah they're not too bad. Yeah, you
- 29:07gotta get a little respect to the Poobears there. I always do. Yeah,
- 29:11they're they're like top fringe, top twenty five. They're not ranked,
- 29:15but they're receiving votes in the top twenty five polls. So they're a really
- 29:18good team with some good dudes, some good running backs, some good guys
- 29:22on defense. So I think, think you're the pieser Challenge, but you
- 29:25can't pick against the Pison would never so I think at DSU wins. But
- 29:27it's a little closer than we think, which I also like though. When
- 29:30you're going to the games and know a lot of people love going, especially
- 29:33when they're home, it's nice to have a closer game because sometimes you're like,
- 29:36okay, guys, come on, what are we got going on here?
- 29:38Right right? I mean, I said she's going to the game too,
- 29:41Yeah, for sure going. I might go. Anybody looking to baby
- 29:45sit a couple of little kids tomorrow, say two watch them up in the
- 29:48booth. Sam. They're just they're great kids. So you know what,
- 29:51Yeah, it could be like a field trip, I guess. Yeah.
- 29:55You have screaming in the background of the radios. Be nice touch Yeah,
- 30:00people listening back. Oh yeah, wham bam. Thank you SA Gateway Chevrolet.
- 30:04We do it every week. You're the best, Sam, Thank you,
- 30:07guys. Man to Pike, you guys are fun. Can't wait for
- 30:10next week. That's what they say about us. But I'm just worried about
- 30:11you getting those jammers. Yeah, yeah, send them my way. And
- 30:17as you were, if there's a fan out there, where are they?
- 30:19Nobody would love to see you in a set of jammies more than me.
- 30:22Okay, Sam, Mike you're crazy man, so good. Thanks for putting
- 30:26up with us, Sam. Of course, guys, thanks for having me
- 30:30Go Buys and
