- 0:00Speaker 1: Man, War of the Roses. Sarah, good morning.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hi, good morning. How are you guys?
- 0:05Speaker 3: Good.
- 0:05Speaker 1: You're on the air. What's up? Hi.
- 0:08Speaker 4: Well, I was.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Calling because I missed the end part of the War
- 0:12Speaker 2: of the Roses. But what I did hear was Caleb
- 0:15Speaker 2: talking about how he's getting basically like good money for
- 0:20Speaker 2: these Beanie Babies. And I want to know where he's
- 0:24Speaker 2: selling them because I literally have bins.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Of Beanie Babies, Beanie Buddies, Teenie Beanie Babies, like, the
- 0:34Speaker 4: whole nine yards that have been sitting in my storage,
- 0:37Speaker 4: and I, like, don't want to get rid of them
- 0:39Speaker 4: because of, you know, oh, what if they're going to
- 0:41Speaker 4: be worth more one day? But they're just sitting there.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Hmm. I don't know where, I mean, I got the impression.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I think he did, though.
- 0:51Speaker 4: I think he said, like, eBay, Facebook Marketplace.
- 0:54Speaker 1: All those places.
- 0:55Speaker 5: Yeah, all three.
- 0:56Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Well, John Jay, I heard you telling him that you'd
- 1:00Speaker 2: give him all of yours and, like, take 10%, so
- 1:04Speaker 2: I would hop on board with that, too, if we
- 1:06Speaker 2: could do, like, a group deal.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I remember, because we had all of them, even the
- 1:09Speaker 1: Princess Diana one, and I think we still do.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Oh, I have that one.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and the rumor is that's the one that's worth
- 1:14Speaker 1: a ton, but I also don't think it's real. I
- 1:17Speaker 1: just read that it's fake hype. It's not like... baseball
- 1:19Speaker 1: cards you know what i found yesterday my baseball cards
- 1:21Speaker 1: are wild i found in my garage yesterday i didn't
- 1:24Speaker 1: know it existed it was the devin booker bobblehead still
- 1:27Speaker 1: not a bobblehead the uh funky pop funko pop oh
- 1:30Speaker 1: really it's still in the box and i wonder if
- 1:31Speaker 1: that's worth.
- 1:32Speaker 7: Billions because son's tickets are billions i bet.
- 1:38Speaker 4: If you could get him to sign it which i'm
- 1:40Speaker 4: sure you may have a few connections then you could
- 1:43Speaker 4: get it to be worth a little bit more.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I bet yeah who knows Sarah, thank you for listening.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Thank you for calling in.
- 1:49Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Good luck.
- 1:50Speaker 4: I appreciate it.
- 1:51Speaker 8: Thanks.
- 1:51Speaker 2: You too.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Bye.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Erin, did somebody sell something to yours? That's what happened
- 1:55Speaker 1: on War of the Roses.
- 1:58Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:58Speaker 9: So my mom had given me a camcorder because I
- 2:01Speaker 9: was having a baby and I was too poor to
- 2:03Speaker 9: buy anything like that myself. So this was before smartphones
- 2:06Speaker 9: were popular. I still had a flip phone while I
- 2:09Speaker 9: recorded a few things like little messages to my son
- 2:12Speaker 9: I was pregnant with. And I thought I'd show him someday.
- 2:15Speaker 9: So later I was like, oh, I should record the
- 2:16Speaker 9: baby and found out it was sold. I was really
- 2:19Speaker 9: upset at the time. But now, honestly, I forgot about
- 2:22Speaker 9: it until I got asked this question.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Wait a minute. Somebody sold the flip phone with the video?
- 2:29Speaker 9: No, not the flip phone, the camcorder. I just said
- 2:31Speaker 9: that I.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Only had a flip phone. So they sold a camcorder
- 2:34Speaker 1: and on the camcorder was the tape with the video
- 2:37Speaker 1: of your son.
- 2:38Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 1: That's sad. Tragic, actually. Don't you think? Never going to
- 2:43Speaker 1: get that back. I'm shocked that.
- 2:44Speaker 3: You say that, Richard.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You throw pictures of your kids away. Well, I know
- 2:46Speaker 1: what they look like. It's fine.
- 2:48Speaker 6: I almost wonder if you could track down who bought
- 2:50Speaker 6: it because unless probably by now they.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Taped over it.
- 2:54Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, and, like, camcorders aren't really a thing anymore.
- 2:57Speaker 1: What if your son becomes a very, very famous actor
- 3:01Speaker 1: or president of the United States, and somebody has that tape,
- 3:03Speaker 1: and they can be like, I had the tape when
- 3:05Speaker 1: he was just a little kid. That's what you got
- 3:06Speaker 1: to do.
- 3:07Speaker 8: To get the camera back, you need to make your
- 3:08Speaker 8: kid the president.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Anyway, what else were you going to say?
- 3:11Speaker 9: That was awesome. I had another interesting one, though. This
- 3:16Speaker 9: one's a little more interesting. So, this, I.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 3:22Speaker 9: It cracks me up still whenever I think about it,
- 3:24Speaker 9: especially because this lady was a hoot. But I worked
- 3:26Speaker 9: out at Denny's with this feisty older lady. So one
- 3:29Speaker 9: day she pulls up in this brand new looking Camaro.
- 3:32Speaker 9: And honestly, I thought she was borrowing it or something.
- 3:34Speaker 9: I'm like, dang, well, it's, you know, a bunch of
- 3:36Speaker 9: sports car. And she said, no, I stole that car.
- 3:39Speaker 9: And I laughed and I'm like, no, seriously. Or she said, no, seriously,
- 3:43Speaker 9: I basically stole that car. And I'm like, what are
- 3:46Speaker 9: you talking about? Especially because she's a feisty old lady.
- 3:49Speaker 9: I honestly wouldn't be surprised if She pulled some grand
- 3:52Speaker 9: theft auto or something. So she tells me that this
- 3:55Speaker 9: dude had just went to prison and left his girl
- 3:59Speaker 9: in charge of all his stuff, and she knew the
- 4:01Speaker 9: girl would basically fold on him while he was away.
- 4:04Speaker 9: So she asked for the car, and the girl said, sure, $ 30, 000.
- 4:08Speaker 9: And so my friend Lois was like, what a dumb broad,
- 4:10Speaker 9: but I'm not going to argue with that price. So
- 4:13Speaker 9: the girl, she went to the MVD, got a power
- 4:15Speaker 9: of attorney form for that vehicle, and she told the
- 4:18Speaker 9: guy she just needed it to renew the tags.
- 4:21Speaker 3: And once she.
- 4:21Speaker 9: Got it back from the guy in prison, my coworker, Lois,
- 4:27Speaker 9: she went and got the 3000 and had herself a
- 4:29Speaker 9: brand new Camaro. And this thing was only like a
- 4:33Speaker 9: couple years old. Less than 40,000.
- 4:36Speaker 7: Miles on it.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 4:37Speaker 3: And then he got out.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Of prison and killed Lois. I was going to say.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I'm going to need that brag back.
- 4:44Speaker 9: Lois, be careful. What if somebody comes after you or something?
- 4:46Speaker 1: She was like, they got to catch me first. I
- 4:48Speaker 1: would be nervous about the retaliation on that one.
- 4:51Speaker 10: Thanks, Erin.
- 4:52Speaker 9: Yeah, exactly. But it fit her well. She was a
- 4:54Speaker 9: crazy old woman. But yeah, thanks, guys.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Joanna, good morning. What did someone sell of yours behind
- 4:59Speaker 1: your back?
- 5:01Speaker 7: Good morning. My brother actually sold my Xbox.
- 5:05Speaker 1: What a jerk.
- 5:05Speaker 9: I went down to my room.
- 5:07Speaker 7: And got my Xbox and I had like left it
- 5:10Speaker 7: at my parents' house and for some reason he was
- 5:11Speaker 7: there visiting. And yeah, he just went down to my
- 5:14Speaker 7: old room and grabbed my Xbox and sold it because
- 5:16Speaker 7: he said he needed money for his car.
- 5:18Speaker 1: How rude.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I know.
- 5:21Speaker 1: How long did it take you until you found out
- 5:23Speaker 1: he sold your Xbox?
- 5:25Speaker 7: Well, the guy at the pawn shop was one of
- 5:27Speaker 7: my friends. He was like, hey, your brother's here. He's like,
- 5:31Speaker 7: is this your Xbox? Because you were just talking about
- 5:32Speaker 7: the Xbox that you got because I was playing games.
- 5:35Speaker 7: And I was like, are you shitting me? And he
- 5:37Speaker 7: was like, no, I think this is yours. So he
- 5:40Speaker 7: told my brother that. He's like, hey, I can't tell
- 5:42Speaker 7: it to you yet. Give me a few minutes. I
- 5:43Speaker 7: might have somebody else buy it outright. And I showed
- 5:46Speaker 7: up at the pawn shop to get my Xbox.
- 5:49Speaker 1: And you got it?
- 5:51Speaker 6: I did, yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Way to go.
- 5:52Speaker 7: I was mad, but I got my Xbox back.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Way to go, Joanna. Hey, thank you for listening. Thanks
- 5:56Speaker 1: for calling in. Thanks.
- 5:58Speaker 10: Bye, guys.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Bye-bye. We're going to play Minute to Win It. We
- 6:01Speaker 1: need a contestant. So call us at 877-937-1047. I don't
- 6:07Speaker 1: know if we're going to get the same person from
- 6:08Speaker 1: yesterday or we just do a separate one because there's
- 6:10Speaker 1: a whole controversy. We'll get into that later. But today's
- 6:12Speaker 1: a very special day. What month is it? What month
- 6:15Speaker 1: is it? What month is it? It's October. Wait, what?
- 6:17Speaker 1: It's October.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Wait, wait, wait.
- 6:19Speaker 1: What do you mean? It's October. It's almost Halloween.
- 6:22Speaker 5: No, it's not.
- 6:22Speaker 11: No, it's not.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I'll tell you what time it is. It's showtime, baby.
- 6:26Speaker 4: It's showtime, baby. It's showtime, baby.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Why don't we head back to the radio room?
- 6:29Speaker 8: Radio room.
- 6:30Speaker 1: You guys are going to love this.
- 6:31Speaker 7: Can I say the name of the show?
- 6:33Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich. Hold that microphone up your face.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I got a couple things to look forward to in October,
- 6:41Speaker 1: you guys. Let's go. On TV, the new Carrie miniseries
- 6:46Speaker 1: hits prime video on the 7th. Ooh, I'm in. Peyton's
- 6:50Speaker 1: season 6 of Abbott Elementary premieres on the 7th.
- 6:52Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Marvel's latest spinoff, Vision Quest, will be on Disney Plus
- 6:56Speaker 1: on the 14th. Season 23 of Grey's Anatomy premieres on
- 7:00Speaker 1: the 15th. And if you know someone who's into NCIS...
- 7:05Speaker 1: Tell them to clear their calendars because October 6th, because
- 7:07Speaker 1: CBS is doing a triple-headed premiere, it kicks off with
- 7:09Speaker 1: season 24 of the original NCIS starring Mark Harmon. Mark Harmon.
- 7:14Speaker 1: It followed by NCIS New York starring LL Cool J
- 7:18Speaker 1: and wraps up with season three of NCIS Origins. In
- 7:22Speaker 1: theaters tomorrow, Tom Cruise Digger, the Social Network sequel, The
- 7:28Speaker 1: Other Mommy. And the Street Fighter movie comes out. The
- 7:31Speaker 1: Social Network sequel. Yeah, you know they made that? Was
- 7:33Speaker 1: it about TikTok? No, remember the Social Network with Facebook?
- 7:37Speaker 8: Yeah, no, I know the movie, but why do we
- 7:38Speaker 8: need a sequel?
- 7:39Speaker 1: Because everything's happened since then. I guess so. It was
- 7:41Speaker 1: all about how it started. It was the first one.
- 7:43Speaker 1: The second one was all the chaos and the court stuff.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Parody comes out this weekend, too. And you know who
- 7:48Speaker 1: plays Mark Zuckerberg?
- 7:49Speaker 3: Who?
- 7:50Speaker 1: The dude from Succession. The son, the one that would
- 7:54Speaker 1: drive the motorcycle and have the, I forget his name,
- 7:57Speaker 1: the character. Jeremy something. He was not Macaulay Culkin. And
- 8:02Speaker 1: then there was a girl. It was the other one.
- 8:04Speaker 1: It was the brother, the older brother. Yeah, is it Strong?
- 8:06Speaker 1: That guy, Jeremy Strong. No, he can play anything. He's amazing.
- 8:08Speaker 1: He plays that guy.
- 8:09Speaker 8: He plays Wes Zuckerberg?
- 8:10Speaker 1: Why wouldn't they pick the other guy that played him?
- 8:12Speaker 1: He was so good. I don't know. Jesse Eisenberg?
- 8:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And also, this is a big day. On October 23rd,
- 8:18Speaker 1: it's National Slap Your Coworker Day. Let's bring back the
- 8:22Speaker 1: tortilla challenge. Yeah, let's do that. Hold on. Tanya's got
- 8:25Speaker 1: a thing she sold. Tanya, someone sold something behind your back?
- 8:29Speaker 3: He didn't sell it. He threw it away, which is
- 8:31Speaker 3: even worse. I used to have a jet ski and
- 8:36Speaker 3: I had a bunch of old equipment beside the house
- 8:38Speaker 3: that went with it. And I had a friend who
- 8:40Speaker 3: was going kayaking and said they wish they had an
- 8:43Speaker 3: anchor to do some fishing. I'm like, oh, I've got
- 8:44Speaker 3: an anchor for my jet ski. And I went to
- 8:46Speaker 3: go find it and I couldn't find it. So I
- 8:49Speaker 3: went to my husband at the time and said, hey,
- 8:51Speaker 3: did you move my anchor that was beside the house?
- 8:54Speaker 8: He was like, oh, I threw it away.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I said, why?
- 8:56Speaker 3: And he goes, it's been sitting out in the rain
- 8:58Speaker 3: for forever.
- 9:00Speaker 1: He threw away the anchor or the jet ski? He
- 9:03Speaker 1: threw away the anchor?
- 9:03Speaker 3: He threw away the anchor.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Oh, man. Anchor's away.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I didn't have the jet ski anymore, but he threw
- 9:09Speaker 3: away the anchor because it was sitting out in the
- 9:10Speaker 3: rain for so long.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It's a metaphor for your entire relationship. The anchor. I
- 9:15Speaker 1: can't believe he threw away the anchor.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Yes.
- 9:18Speaker 1: All right. Thank you, Tony.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I couldn't understand his excuse because it was in the water.
- 9:24Speaker 3: It was getting wet.
- 9:26Speaker 1: All right. Thank you, Tonya. Why are you having such
- 9:28Speaker 1: a hard time with her name? Tonya. I thought it
- 9:30Speaker 1: was Tonya. We got Lori. Lori's going to play a
- 9:33Speaker 1: minute to win it. Lori, hi. Good morning.
- 9:36Speaker 11: Good morning.
- 9:37Speaker 1: What are you doing right now? I'm ready. You're ready?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Where are you?
- 9:39Speaker 4: I'm driving.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. What part of town?
- 9:43Speaker 4: I'm on Grand.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Oh, Grand. All right, let's go. I can tell you
- 9:47Speaker 1: sound smart. You're going to do well on this. Let's go.
- 9:49Speaker 9: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 9:52Speaker 9: Peoria Ford right now.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Minute to win it. Okay, Lori, 60 seconds on the clock.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Get them all right. No skips. You win $ 1, 000. Let's go.
- 10:01Speaker 1: What do you call a baby goat?
- 10:03Speaker 4: A kid.
- 10:07Speaker 8: Who played Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean?
- 10:12Speaker 3: Johnny Depp.
- 10:13Speaker 8: What Pixar movie is about a robot left behind to
- 10:15Speaker 8: clean up Earth?
- 10:18Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 10:20Speaker 8: Oh, number five, something like that.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 10:25Speaker 10: Oh.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Is that your final answer?
- 10:26Speaker 4: Oh, my.
- 10:28Speaker 11: Yes, number five.
- 10:31Speaker 10: Oh.
- 10:32Speaker 4: It's Wally.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Wally. Wally.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Dang it.
- 10:37Speaker 3: I can picture him in everything.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Yeah. It's a bummer.
- 10:42Speaker 10: Oh.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It's okay. You don't go home empty-handed. We're going to
- 10:46Speaker 1: set you up with Del Taco gift card.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Nice.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Thanks Lori. Drive safe. Thanks for playing. Thanks for listening.
- 10:54Speaker 1: So early this morning, stacks and hacks. We're talking about
- 10:57Speaker 1: the guy that got a speeding ticket because he was
- 10:59Speaker 1: rushing to get breakfast at McDonald's. Then I told a
- 11:02Speaker 1: story about when my wife and I were trying to
- 11:04Speaker 1: have a baby going through infertility. I had given a
- 11:09Speaker 1: sample and I got pulled over and the doctor or
- 11:12Speaker 1: the cop was like, why are you speeding? And I said, well,
- 11:14Speaker 1: we're trying to have a baby. This is my sperm sample.
- 11:16Speaker 1: And he was like, I've been a cop for 20 years.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Never heard that excuse. I bet not. See you later.
- 11:22Speaker 1: So we wanted to get into, in fact, people started
- 11:24Speaker 1: calling in with like, how'd you get out of a
- 11:27Speaker 1: speeding ticket? 877-937-1047.
- 11:32Speaker 8: So they give us the excuse and we guess if
- 11:35Speaker 8: they got a ticket or got out of a ticket.
- 11:38Speaker 1: So that's a good idea. Yeah. So let's see if they, because.
- 11:41Speaker 8: We will be the cops and like, is that a
- 11:42Speaker 8: good enough excuse to get, to let you, let you go?
- 11:45Speaker 8: Or am I still going to write you a ticket?
- 11:47Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 11:47Speaker 1: So you call it. So like, so I, if I
- 11:49Speaker 1: was calling, I would tell you the story of the
- 11:50Speaker 1: sperm sample. We will probably all go. You got to
- 11:53Speaker 1: let you go. Definitely.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Let me go.
- 11:55Speaker 8: I might've given you a police escort with that sample
- 11:58Speaker 8: lights on. Let's get you there, kid.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Also, by the way, hold on. I forgot that I
- 12:03Speaker 1: brought up something earlier about this. This was all over
- 12:07Speaker 1: the news. yesterday over social media, but do you guys
- 12:09Speaker 1: see Ted, the animated series is coming out?
- 12:12Speaker 10: No.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:13Speaker 1: So it's Ted. So I remember it doesn't seem appropriate.
- 12:15Speaker 1: They did. They did. Well, family guy, think about family.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I know. No, I know. So think about it was,
- 12:20Speaker 1: there was Ted with the CGI, which is fricking fantastic show.
- 12:25Speaker 1: It was costing them $ 10 million an episode to make.
- 12:27Speaker 1: So they couldn't do anymore. So what they've done now,
- 12:30Speaker 1: is got Ted the Animated Series, and what's different about
- 12:33Speaker 1: it is, well, here, listen first. Hey, Ted, we're animated. Ah,
- 12:35Speaker 1: that means we can do anything now. No consequences. I'm
- 12:38Speaker 1: going to do a backflip.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Ah!
- 12:41Speaker 1: It hurts like real life.
- 12:42Speaker 8: Be sure to watch Ted the Animated Series on Peacock,
- 12:46Speaker 8: streaming December 17th.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Why would the animators do this to me?
- 12:49Speaker 10: Ah!
- 12:50Speaker 1: An anvil? Ah, they're having fun. This is going to
- 12:53Speaker 1: be fun. And guess what? It's Mark Wahlberg. That was
- 12:56Speaker 1: Mark Wahlberg. That wasn't the guy that plays that. Really?
- 12:58Speaker 1: It's Mark Wahlberg and Seth MacFarlane. They're doing all the voices.
- 13:00Speaker 1: They're doing all the voices. Anyway. Okay. Christina, good morning.
- 13:06Speaker 6: Good morning.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Okay. So you tell us what happened. And we're going
- 13:09Speaker 1: to guess if you got out of the ticket. You
- 13:11Speaker 1: got pulled over for speeding. What happened? And then tell
- 13:13Speaker 1: us the excuse you gave.
- 13:15Speaker 10: Okay.
- 13:15Speaker 6: I have two. The first one, I was maybe like
- 13:17Speaker 6: 22 years old. And I was going about 55 in
- 13:21Speaker 6: a 40. And Coppelmuller, I immediately started crying. For one,
- 13:25Speaker 6: I'm scared because it's my brother's car. But I started crying,
- 13:29Speaker 6: and he was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, what's going on?
- 13:31Speaker 6: I said, I'm in a rush. My sister's in the
- 13:33Speaker 6: hospital having a baby. I'm scared, and I'm lost. And
- 13:36Speaker 6: he fell for it, and he guided me to Glendale.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you didn't let us guess. Yeah, we were
- 13:41Speaker 1: going to guess. Okay, so wait, wait. So you lied
- 13:45Speaker 1: to the cop.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Oh, interesting. Wow. And he still let you go. I
- 13:49Speaker 1: didn't even think of that.
- 13:50Speaker 6: He let me go.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I would never let him come.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Okay. What's your other one? And don't tell us the result.
- 13:55Speaker 1: You got pulled over.
- 13:56Speaker 10: Okay.
- 13:57Speaker 6: The other one, I was in my brother's car again.
- 13:59Speaker 6: I was legit going 55 in a 30 on the
- 14:02Speaker 6: way to work. Um, and actually I don't remember what,
- 14:07Speaker 6: how it happened, but he, three cops pulled me over
- 14:10Speaker 6: and I, he's like, whose car is this? Where are
- 14:14Speaker 6: you going? And I'm like, Again, I was like 21,
- 14:17Speaker 6: and I don't remember how I got out of it,
- 14:19Speaker 6: so I apologize.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Okay, that's not a good story. Yeah, and you said
- 14:23Speaker 1: you got out of it. I don't think you understand
- 14:24Speaker 1: this game. I went right for student ticket right now. Melissa, Melissa,
- 14:28Speaker 1: tell us you got pulled over. Tell us the excuse,
- 14:32Speaker 1: and we're going to guess if you got out of
- 14:33Speaker 1: it or not, okay?
- 14:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 14:36Speaker 1: All right, what happened?
- 14:37Speaker 3: Is it me, Melissa? Okay, ready?
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:40Speaker 9: Okay, so I was driving.
- 14:43Speaker 7: My car was.
- 14:43Speaker 10: Broken, so I was driving my ex-husband's car. I was
- 14:48Speaker 10: approaching a yellow light, thought I could make it, but
- 14:51Speaker 10: it very much turned red. And I look over, and
- 14:54Speaker 10: there's a cop there. My ex-husband did not have tags
- 14:58Speaker 10: on his car, and his tags were expired.
- 15:02Speaker 3: But for Father's Day, the kids.
- 15:04Speaker 10: And I had gone through, and I had proof that, like, I.
- 15:06Speaker 9: Went through a mission for him and that he passed.
- 15:09Speaker 9: He just needed to, like, get the tags.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Oh, my God. I was moving the phone, and I
- 15:15Speaker 1: literally disconnected her. Way to go, Barry. I was moving
- 15:18Speaker 1: the phone. I was moving the phone. My phone was
- 15:20Speaker 1: in the way. Melissa, call back. I am so sorry.
- 15:23Speaker 1: So do we think she got a ticket? I think
- 15:26Speaker 1: she got a ticket. We didn't hear the excuse. I
- 15:29Speaker 1: hit a button here I've never even hit before, but
- 15:31Speaker 1: it went to Stephanie automatically. Don't hit that one again, though. Stephanie.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Hey, good morning.
- 15:36Speaker 9: Hi.
- 15:37Speaker 1: So you tell us the story, and then we're going
- 15:39Speaker 1: to guess whether you got out of it or not.
- 15:41Speaker 5: Okay, so I was speeding through my neighborhood. I was
- 15:45Speaker 5: definitely going 60 on a 35. I went to pick
- 15:48Speaker 5: up one of my daughters from school, and I got
- 15:51Speaker 5: pulled over.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh, I got pulled over, and I always.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Be during this area. I got pulled over, and the
- 15:59Speaker 5: cop asked me why I was speeding, and I said
- 16:01Speaker 5: I had to go pick up my daughter. My other
- 16:03Speaker 5: daughter had surgery this morning. So I guess that's all
- 16:07Speaker 5: I can tell you. He took my employees, like, you know,
- 16:08Speaker 5: I could take you, like, I'd rest you right now
- 16:10Speaker 5: because you're going 60.
- 16:10Speaker 2: And I was like, I know, I'm so sorry.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I'm going to guess he let you go. I think
- 16:14Speaker 1: he let you go because he's probably a dad and
- 16:16Speaker 1: he knows what it's like. Is the story true that
- 16:18Speaker 1: the other daughter had surgery?
- 16:20Speaker 3: Yes, but she had, like, dental surgery.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Like, it wasn't doing anything crazy.
- 16:24Speaker 1: So I felt bad. Did he let you go? Did
- 16:27Speaker 1: he let you go?
- 16:28Speaker 2: He did, yeah.
- 16:29Speaker 5: I felt so bad afterwards.
- 16:31Speaker 2: And I was like, you know what? I wasn't lying.
- 16:32Speaker 5: Technically, I know the other.
- 16:34Speaker 2: person who I took off.
- 16:35Speaker 5: I didn't technically, but yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 16:38Speaker 8: It seems like there's a theme if they let you go,
- 16:40Speaker 8: if you ramble on a little bit.
- 16:42Speaker 1: They want to let you go. And I'm going to
- 16:43Speaker 1: try to eliminate that, this part. Okay, so Rob, you
- 16:47Speaker 1: got pulled over. Don't even know why you got pulled over.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You got pulled over. What was your excuse?
- 16:52Speaker 11: Okay, well, this was actually a camera speeding ticket. They
- 16:56Speaker 11: sent me a picture of me in the car saying
- 17:00Speaker 11: I was speeding on this camera. But And they're like,
- 17:03Speaker 11: you can either fight this or just pay the ticket.
- 17:05Speaker 11: So I went to fight it. And the way that
- 17:07Speaker 11: I fought it is in the picture in the camera.
- 17:09Speaker 11: I was picking my nose. So my face was covered
- 17:12Speaker 11: with my hand. And I said, well, no, there's no
- 17:15Speaker 11: way you can tell this is me. The person in
- 17:17Speaker 11: this is picking their nose and covering their face with.
- 17:19Speaker 11: with their hands. So I went to court and fought it,
- 17:22Speaker 11: and you guys can guess if I won or not.
- 17:23Speaker 1: This is good. This is good. I think you got
- 17:25Speaker 1: out of it because your face was covered. Me too.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I feel like an expert in the camera ticket thing.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:29Speaker 1: But what do you think? I did. I got out
- 17:32Speaker 1: of it.
- 17:32Speaker 11: I went, I fought it, and they're like, nope, we
- 17:34Speaker 11: can't tell who it is because your face is covered.
- 17:36Speaker 11: Whoever was picking their nose in this picture, I can't
- 17:38Speaker 11: tell if it's you or not.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, hold on. So if you're going
- 17:43Speaker 1: to run a yellow light, get your finger in that nose.
- 17:44Speaker 6: That was great.
- 17:45Speaker 1: That was great.
