Mega Edition: Jeffrey Epstein And His Navigation Of The French Legal System (10/22/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: According to a new report out, the French authorities have
0:05
Speaker 1: received new information from the American authorities, and they have
0:09
Speaker 1: expanded their investigation to also include Ghislaine Maxwell. Now, recently
0:16
Speaker 1: we were talking a little bit about France, and I
0:18
Speaker 1: was wondering what the hell was going on over there.
0:21
Speaker 1: And I was talking about how it seemed like there
0:24
Speaker 1: was zero movement, and... pretty much the French authorities had
0:28
Speaker 1: moved on to other things, it seemed like. But now,
0:32
Speaker 1: with this new report from the Daily Mail, perhaps the
0:35
Speaker 1: French authorities are working on this case. Maybe they are
0:40
Speaker 1: compiling evidence. And maybe they have their own investigation well underway. Now,
0:49
Speaker 1: up until this new report, we haven't heard anything out
0:52
Speaker 1: of France, really. We heard, you know, a little bit
0:57
Speaker 1: of lip service, but nothing tangible. There was never any
1:00
Speaker 1: sort of like, you know, press conference or anything like that.
1:04
Speaker 1: But we'll see what occurs in France. I would think
1:08
Speaker 1: that the authorities would be very keen to be involved
1:13
Speaker 1: in this investigation, considering Epstein was in France quite a bit.
1:18
Speaker 1: There might be other girls in Paris who were abused
1:21
Speaker 1: that we don't even know about. And... With all of
1:26
Speaker 1: that added up, you would think that the local authorities
1:30
Speaker 1: would be all over this. They'd be really involved, they'd
1:33
Speaker 1: be invested, and they'd be looking for answers. But up
1:38
Speaker 1: until today, I was rather skeptical about that. So let's
1:43
Speaker 1: jump into this article from the Daily Mail, and let's
1:46
Speaker 1: catch up with what's going on in France in regards
1:49
Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. This article is from
1:55
Speaker 1: the Daily Mail. Headline, French prosecutors probing Jeffrey Epstein over
2:01
Speaker 1: rape and abuse of children in Paris widen probe to
2:05
Speaker 1: include Ghislaine Maxwell to see if British socialite was involved
2:09
Speaker 1: in his offending. This article was authored by Gemma Carr. Well,
2:15
Speaker 1: I would think you'd have to be blind and deaf
2:19
Speaker 1: not to understand that Ghislaine Maxwell was involved in Jeffrey
2:22
Speaker 1: Epstein's crimes. Now, to the extent that things occurred in France, look,
2:30
Speaker 1: I don't really know. Again, I don't have any inside
2:33
Speaker 1: source within France that's feeding any information my way. But
2:37
Speaker 1: it certainly looks like Jeffrey Epstein spent a lot of
2:41
Speaker 1: time in France. And we know every other place where
2:44
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein spent a significant amount of time, he abused girls.
2:52
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell is under investigation by French authorities over allegations
2:57
Speaker 1: that she was involved in convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's offending
3:01
Speaker 1: in the country. Well, we have the report, right, from
3:04
Speaker 1: Virginia when they were in France about how Ghislaine was
3:09
Speaker 1: showing her the proper way to groom somebody and had
3:13
Speaker 1: that girl over at the house that night. So that's
3:16
Speaker 1: just one example. Do you think that was the only
3:19
Speaker 1: time it occurred while they were in France? It was
3:21
Speaker 1: just a one-off? Or was that something that Ghislaine Maxwell
3:24
Speaker 1: and Jeffrey Epstein were up to all the time while
3:28
Speaker 1: they were in France? In my opinion, this is not
3:32
Speaker 1: something that you do every once in a while. This
3:34
Speaker 1: isn't something that you do every now and then. This
3:39
Speaker 1: is something that these people were always involved in. They
3:42
Speaker 1: were serial offenders. Investigators are looking into claims that Epstein,
3:49
Speaker 1: who had a 7 million pound Paris apartment, raped and
3:53
Speaker 1: abused minors in the French capital. Look, there have been
3:58
Speaker 1: serious claims of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and their
4:03
Speaker 1: behavior in Paris. It's nice to see that the French
4:08
Speaker 1: authorities are finally kicking themselves into gear here and coming
4:12
Speaker 1: out publicly and saying that they're investigating this. It is
4:19
Speaker 1: beyond me how the French authorities don't have a huge
4:24
Speaker 1: and vast investigation going on here. Then again, maybe they do.
4:28
Speaker 1: Maybe it's a behind-the-scenes situation and we just don't know
4:31
Speaker 1: anything about it. I guess that's possible, right? It has
4:37
Speaker 1: now been revealed that Maxwell is also being probed by
4:40
Speaker 1: prosecutors who received information from U.S. investigators. So what that
4:45
Speaker 1: tells us, if we're reading in between the lines... Is
4:47
Speaker 1: that the channels of communication are open... Between the authorities
4:51
Speaker 1: in the United States... And in other places like Paris...
4:55
Speaker 1: Obviously London... And I wouldn't be shocked if they're talking
4:58
Speaker 1: to authorities... In some of the Eastern European countries... Where
5:02
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was active as well... So... Honestly... I don't
5:08
Speaker 1: know how there isn't an investigation... In every single place
5:11
Speaker 1: where Epstein was active... Because if I was the local authorities...
5:16
Speaker 1: I would be all over that to try and find
5:18
Speaker 1: any crimes that were committed in my country. So I
5:27
Speaker 1: would hope that any of these countries where these crimes
5:30
Speaker 1: allegedly were committed would be fully invested in trying to
5:34
Speaker 1: get to the bottom of this. A source told the Mirror,
5:39
Speaker 1: both Epstein and Maxwell have a long history and many
5:42
Speaker 1: connections to France. Of course they do. Ghislaine Maxwell, her
5:46
Speaker 1: family comes from France. They have a lot of connections
5:50
Speaker 1: in France. They have a lot of connections everywhere. As
5:55
Speaker 1: detectives dug further into allegations against him, and after receiving
5:58
Speaker 1: information from U.S. investigators, they launched their own probe into Maxwell.
6:03
Speaker 1: It is ongoing. That's definitely refreshing. I really hope that
6:08
Speaker 1: the French also bring charges against her. That would be awesome.
6:12
Speaker 1: Every one of these countries where they were active should
6:14
Speaker 1: have charges drawn up and they should try all of
6:18
Speaker 1: these people in their countries as well. It's absurd to
6:22
Speaker 1: think that these people thought that they could go from
6:25
Speaker 1: country to country, continent to continent, and abuse people and
6:29
Speaker 1: traffic children and launder money and there would be zero repercussions. Maxwell,
6:37
Speaker 1: who was accused of being Epstein's madam, co-conspirator, fellow child abuser,
6:41
Speaker 1: general all-around scuzzbag, and bipedal serpent, has French, British, and
6:47
Speaker 1: American citizenship, and was born in a well-off area on
6:51
Speaker 1: the fringes of Paris. So you see why it's important
6:55
Speaker 1: that the Parisians are involved, that the Parisian authorities get
7:00
Speaker 1: on this case? Because they might have some intricate knowledge.
7:04
Speaker 1: They might have something there that we don't know about
7:08
Speaker 1: as far as the case goes. So I think it's
7:12
Speaker 1: very important that especially London, Paris, as well as the
7:18
Speaker 1: United States, are very invested in getting to the bottom
7:21
Speaker 1: of this. French model agent Jean-Luc Brunel is said to
7:27
Speaker 1: be a close friend of Maxwell's, with the pair both
7:30
Speaker 1: appearing in Epstein's contact book and on the flight logs
7:33
Speaker 1: of his private jets. Look, Jean-Luc Brunel has been in
7:37
Speaker 1: the spotlight since the 80s for abusing girls. Never mind...
7:43
Speaker 1: his absurd behavior with Jeffrey Epstein and the way they
7:48
Speaker 1: worked in concert to not only abuse these girls, but
7:51
Speaker 1: to bring them in from other war-torn, poor countries by
7:59
Speaker 1: lying to them and saying they were going to make
8:00
Speaker 1: them these great models. And then when they would get here,
8:03
Speaker 1: they'd be in an apartment eight deep and their job
8:07
Speaker 1: really wasn't modeling. It was to go and be basically escorts.
8:12
Speaker 1: That is the fate that Jean-Luc Brunel provided these aspiring models.
8:19
Speaker 1: Brunel has previously denied allegations that he procured and raped
8:23
Speaker 1: underage girls. He has been accused of giving three French girls,
8:27
Speaker 1: all age 12, to Epstein on the pedophile's birthday. You
8:30
Speaker 1: would think that alone would have the French authorities going
8:33
Speaker 1: batshit crazy. I know if I was a politician and
8:37
Speaker 1: I heard a story about this pedophile who... provided three
8:43
Speaker 1: 12-year-old girls from my country to a man in America,
8:47
Speaker 1: I would be going apeshit trying to figure out what's what,
8:51
Speaker 1: who these girls were, where they're from, what their fate was.
8:57
Speaker 1: And then I'd be trying to get statements from them
9:00
Speaker 1: to take down Brunel. How this man has been able
9:03
Speaker 1: to exist in this vacuum for so long without anything
9:06
Speaker 1: happening to him, without him ever being held accountable is
9:09
Speaker 1: just mind-boggling. He's just a talent scout, just a model guy.
9:14
Speaker 1: So why is he so well protected? He said, I
9:19
Speaker 1: strongly deny having committed any illicit act or any wrongdoing
9:23
Speaker 1: in the course of my work as a scouter or
9:25
Speaker 1: model agency's manager. Yeah, okay, sure, buddy. We really believe you.
9:29
Speaker 1: We believe you, of course. That's, yes, that's, your story
9:35
Speaker 1: is just exactly the truth, right? What you're saying is just,
9:38
Speaker 1: it's completely believable because there's no evidence that you were
9:43
Speaker 1: an absolute disgusting abuser. No, we'll just go with your story,
9:47
Speaker 1: your narrative. These people are crazy. Ghislaine Maxwell first met
9:54
Speaker 1: Epstein in the 90s and they struck up a relationship.
9:57
Speaker 1: Debatable at best. We know. that there is a lot
10:01
Speaker 1: more to the establishment of that relationship than what has
10:04
Speaker 1: been previously reported. We know that her pops, Robert Maxwell,
10:09
Speaker 1: was a big influence on bringing these two together. The
10:14
Speaker 1: disgraced American financier, pedophile, was found dead in his New
10:18
Speaker 1: York prison cell on August 10, 2019, as he awaited
10:22
Speaker 1: his trial on sex trafficking charges. Maxwell has been accused
10:26
Speaker 1: of abusing and grooming three female minors and was arrested
10:29
Speaker 1: in July by the FBI. Prior to that, it was
10:33
Speaker 1: understood that she was hiding out in France. Under French law,
10:37
Speaker 1: anyone born on French soil is safe from extradition to
10:40
Speaker 1: another country regardless of the alleged crime. Sorry, she was
10:45
Speaker 1: never in France. That didn't occur. That never happened. That
10:49
Speaker 1: was just a bunch of BS reporting. We sniffed that
10:53
Speaker 1: out from the very beginning around these parts as well. Oh, well,
10:57
Speaker 1: we saw her ring and we knew... Stop it, okay?
11:00
Speaker 1: Just stop it. In June, it was reported that she
11:05
Speaker 1: moved into a flat... on Avenue Matignon in Paris's 8th arrondissement,
11:11
Speaker 1: a wealthy part of the city dotted with upmarket retail shops.
11:15
Speaker 1: The property was a short five-minute drive from Epstein's seven
11:20
Speaker 1: million pound pad on Avenue Folk. It never happened. She
11:26
Speaker 1: was in America. The authorities in America were keeping a
11:30
Speaker 1: keen eye on her to make sure she didn't dip, split,
11:32
Speaker 1: or duck and dodge. And when the time was right,
11:36
Speaker 1: they pounced on her. there was zero chance that she
11:38
Speaker 1: was getting out of the country by conventional means. A
11:43
Speaker 1: source told The Sun at the time, Ghislaine is moving
11:45
Speaker 1: locations every month to keep private investigators off her tail
11:49
Speaker 1: and is staying at the residences of trusted colleagues and contacts.
11:53
Speaker 1: She wants to remain in France for as long as
11:54
Speaker 1: she can to take advantage of extradition laws and has
11:57
Speaker 1: a huge network of contacts willing to keep her hidden. Now,
12:01
Speaker 1: remember when I talked about the Montreal connection? This all
12:04
Speaker 1: goes into it. The connections that Ghislaine Maxwell has in
12:08
Speaker 1: Paris and Montreal cannot be overlooked. And it's my opinion
12:15
Speaker 1: that the reason she was in New Hampshire... was because
12:18
Speaker 1: it was just a hop, skip, and a jump to
12:20
Speaker 1: get over the border into Montreal and then out to France.
12:25
Speaker 1: But she was caught before that could occur. The FBI
12:29
Speaker 1: and the authorities swooped in, and Ghislaine Maxwell and any
12:33
Speaker 1: plans of fleeing, well, that was all crushed under heel.
12:40
Speaker 1: It was this week revealed that Maxwell's family has launched
12:43
Speaker 1: a campaign to get her out of jail. claiming she's
12:46
Speaker 1: lost considerable weight and her human rights were violated. Yeah,
12:49
Speaker 1: we talked about that as well. Nobody cares about your
12:52
Speaker 1: human rights, Ghislaine Maxwell. You're being treated just like any
12:55
Speaker 1: other convict would be treated, like any other prisoner. No worse,
12:59
Speaker 1: no less. If you didn't want to end up in jail,
13:03
Speaker 1: you should not have cavorted with Jeffrey Epstein. Pretty damn simple.
13:10
Speaker 1: Operation GGO, a campaign to get Ghislaine out from her
13:13
Speaker 1: Brooklyn prison cell, comes after she previously sought release this
13:17
Speaker 1: summer on a 5 million, 3.4 million pound bail related
13:21
Speaker 1: to sex trafficking charges. Yeah, that operation is going to
13:25
Speaker 1: be an absolute failure. She maintained her innocence, but the
13:30
Speaker 1: Manhattan judge deemed her a flight risk, considering she had
13:33
Speaker 1: evaded capture for nearly a year. She is absolutely a
13:37
Speaker 1: flight risk. Somebody that holds foreign passports, especially a passport
13:41
Speaker 1: to a country that does not extradite for any crime, yeah,
13:45
Speaker 1: that person is a flight risk, and they do not
13:48
Speaker 1: deserve to be out of jail. Sorry. Brian Basham, a
13:53
Speaker 1: family friend and a PR professional, has set out to
13:55
Speaker 1: free Maxwell from the cruel and vindictive treatment she's allegedly
13:59
Speaker 1: received at the hands of U.S. authorities. Oh, so evil.
14:04
Speaker 1: Her treatment is so bad. She's being kept by herself.
14:08
Speaker 1: She has to eat whatever food that they give her
14:10
Speaker 1: She's wearing paper clothes, and they took her scale away
14:15
Speaker 1: from her. Nobody cares, Brian Basham. Nobody gives two shits, okay?
14:21
Speaker 1: Here's what we care about. The fact that your friend,
14:25
Speaker 1: your buddy, Ghislaine Maxwell, was on a decades-long crime spree
14:29
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein... And not only were they on a
14:32
Speaker 1: crime spree, they were being protected from on high. So
14:35
Speaker 1: nobody cares now that things have caught up with her.
14:38
Speaker 1: Nobody cares now that the slow wheels of justice are grinding.
14:44
Speaker 1: We all say it's about time. Basham alleged that the heiress, co-conspirator,
14:50
Speaker 1: fellow child abuser, general all-around scuzzbag and bipedal serpent, has
14:55
Speaker 1: lost 25 pounds since she was placed in custody. Because
14:58
Speaker 1: guards won't accommodate her vegan diet, the Telegraph reports. Sorry,
15:02
Speaker 1: no lettuce wraps for you, Ghislaine. Enjoy the bologna sandwich.
15:08
Speaker 1: She has lost 25 pounds in jail, but when she complained,
15:11
Speaker 1: they took away her weighing machine so she could not
15:13
Speaker 1: weigh herself, he told the newspaper. Again, why does she
15:17
Speaker 1: have a quote-unquote weighing machine? Don't you mean scale, you
15:21
Speaker 1: epic ninny? A weighing machine? I mean, what is she,
15:26
Speaker 1: a drug dealer? She's out there weighing out quarters, grams,
15:29
Speaker 1: and ounces? What do you mean a weighing machine? Basham
15:33
Speaker 1: also alleged that prison officials forced Maxwell to wear clothes
15:37
Speaker 1: made from paper and banned her from wearing bras over
15:40
Speaker 1: fears she's a suicide risk. So what does she want
15:44
Speaker 1: to wear? Some Gucci in there? She wants to wear
15:46
Speaker 1: a Gucci prison outfit? Maybe a Versace prison outfit? Sorry,
15:50
Speaker 1: you're getting the state-issued paper clothing and you'll like it.
15:56
Speaker 1: The concerns echoed those of Jeffrey Epstein, who died by suicide, allegedly,
16:01
Speaker 1: in a Manhattan jail cell last year while awaiting trial. Epstein,
16:05
Speaker 1: a New York financier, pedophile, whose reputation was marred with
16:09
Speaker 1: allegations of child molestation, was indicted on sex trafficking and
16:14
Speaker 1: conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking charges. He was repeatedly
16:20
Speaker 1: accused of the vile act throughout his adult life and
16:22
Speaker 1: pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution in Florida
16:26
Speaker 1: and in 2008. Well, you all know it comes after that, right?
16:30
Speaker 1: There's no such thing as a minor who is a prostitute.
16:34
Speaker 1: A minor is not somebody who can be a prostitute, okay?
16:40
Speaker 1: He was awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in
16:43
Speaker 1: New York City when he committed suicide, allegedly, by hanging
16:48
Speaker 1: inside his jail cell in August 2019. Epstein's death rocked
16:53
Speaker 1: the country and was a shocking blow for a number
16:56
Speaker 1: of his survivors who had come forward. 100%. And that
17:00
Speaker 1: is why, Brian Basham and Ghislaine Maxwell, that these rules
17:05
Speaker 1: are in place to make sure that your good friend,
17:09
Speaker 1: the bipedal serpent, Ghislaine Maxwell, is ready to stand trial
17:15
Speaker 1: and face justice. If you'd like to contact me, you
17:20
Speaker 1: can do that at bobbycappucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com.

17:36
Speaker 1: All right, everybody, all of the links that go with
17:38
Speaker 1: this episode can be found in the description box. So
17:43
Speaker 1: this morning, what we're going to talk about is a
17:46
Speaker 1: topic that should have already been changed. What we're going
17:52
Speaker 1: to talk about in this article, this is a law
17:56
Speaker 1: that should have been fixed a long time ago in France.
17:59
Speaker 1: And what we're talking about here is the age of consent. Now,
18:06
Speaker 1: you all know how I feel about looking out from
18:09
Speaker 1: my backyard and into my neighbor's yard and talking trash
18:14
Speaker 1: when I have a whole yard full of garbage myself.
18:17
Speaker 1: But when it comes to this situation here, the age
18:20
Speaker 1: of consent, and how people in France have manipulated it
18:28
Speaker 1: for a long time, I think that it is nothing
18:31
Speaker 1: but a positive step for the authorities in France to
18:36
Speaker 1: start to address something like this. I mean, if not now,
18:40
Speaker 1: then when? So it's certainly refreshing to see that they're
18:46
Speaker 1: taking it more seriously and And they're going to take
18:48
Speaker 1: a look at setting the age for consent at 15
18:53
Speaker 1: in France. Now, I know that seems like a very
18:57
Speaker 1: low number to a lot of us in America, especially.
19:00
Speaker 1: But you got to start somewhere, right? And if this
19:04
Speaker 1: is the foot in the door for France, then all right.
19:09
Speaker 1: Because what people can get away with there as of now...
19:15
Speaker 1: is pretty dastardly and very concerning for anybody who is
19:20
Speaker 1: worried about people who are being sexually abused and children
19:23
Speaker 1: being human trafficked and abused by people like this. It's
19:28
Speaker 1: a very concerning situation when there are no real stringent
19:34
Speaker 1: laws to govern something like this. Because we all know
19:39
Speaker 1: that there are sick, disgusting bastards out there who will
19:43
Speaker 1: take advantage of loopholes in the law and abuse these
19:47
Speaker 1: young girls and act like it's okay again full circle
19:54
Speaker 1: it all comes back to the politicians no matter where
19:57
Speaker 1: you live if it's america if it's mars or if
20:01
Speaker 1: it's russia the scumbag politicians Have to be forced to
20:06
Speaker 1: do the right thing. And they have to be forced.
20:08
Speaker 1: To put laws on the books. That have teeth. That protect.
20:13
Speaker 1: The most vulnerable amongst us. I don't know how we
20:17
Speaker 1: can call ourselves. Civilized societies. If we don't even protect.
20:21
Speaker 1: The most vulnerable amongst us. Alright. So our article this morning.
20:26
Speaker 1: Is from ABC News. And the headline is. Finally. France
20:31
Speaker 1: seeks to set age for sexual consent. At 15, I mean, again,
20:37
Speaker 1: I'm trying not to be too critical of France and
20:41
Speaker 1: their laws. I don't, you know, I don't live there.
20:43
Speaker 1: I don't know them well enough to really sit here and,
20:47
Speaker 1: you know, break down each and every aspect of their
20:50
Speaker 1: legal system the way I can in America. So I'm
20:54
Speaker 1: not even going to fake the funk. But even putting
20:58
Speaker 1: the age at 15 is a bit spine-tingling to me.
21:02
Speaker 1: And I get it. Progress is slow. And a lot
21:05
Speaker 1: of times you got to walk before you can run.
21:08
Speaker 1: And I understand that French society is a lot different
21:11
Speaker 1: than society in America, especially when it comes to this
21:14
Speaker 1: sort of thing. But it is very shocking for people
21:22
Speaker 1: on the outside looking in to take a look at
21:24
Speaker 1: the age at 15 like this and not think it's
21:28
Speaker 1: a little funky. Now, There's gray area when you're talking about, say,
21:34
Speaker 1: an 18 or 19 year old, right? Gray area. You
21:37
Speaker 1: can have a discussion about, did they know each other
21:39
Speaker 1: in high school? You know, all kinds of different things.
21:43
Speaker 1: But when we're talking about what we're talking about here,
21:47
Speaker 1: very rich, very powerful men and women abusing the most
21:51
Speaker 1: vulnerable and 30, 40 years of their junior in some instances,
21:56
Speaker 1: then we have a whole different type of problem. at
22:01
Speaker 1: our fingertips, and a whole different type of problem that
22:04
Speaker 1: needs to be discussed. And while I think it's certainly
22:08
Speaker 1: a step in the right direction for France to at
22:12
Speaker 1: least get a baseline here for what the age of
22:14
Speaker 1: consent is, I'd like to see more. I'd like to
22:17
Speaker 1: see France get a little bit more proactive here, and
22:20
Speaker 1: I'd like to see their politicians demand that there's, you know,
22:25
Speaker 1: a real age of consent here. Because 15 seems a
22:28
Speaker 1: bit low to me. Now again, I'm not from France, right?
22:33
Speaker 1: You know, so I try not to act like I
22:36
Speaker 1: know exactly what's going on in society there. But from
22:40
Speaker 1: the people I have talked to, some of the independent
22:43
Speaker 1: content creators and otherwise that are based in France, it
22:47
Speaker 1: seems like a lot of the population certainly is in
22:50
Speaker 1: favor of an age of consent. This article was authored
22:57
Speaker 1: by Angela Charlton. And it originally appeared in the Associated Press,
23:05
Speaker 1: but we're reading it off of ABC News. This article
23:09
Speaker 1: was published on February 10th, 2021. I don't know how
23:13
Speaker 1: I missed this one. Usually these ones pop right up
23:16
Speaker 1: and I add them to the pile so we can
23:18
Speaker 1: get to them. But somehow I missed this one until
23:20
Speaker 1: just recently. So here we are. France's government wants to
23:26
Speaker 1: set the age of sexual consent at 15 and make
23:29
Speaker 1: it easier to punish long-ago child sexual abuse amid growing
23:34
Speaker 1: public pressure and a wave of online testimonies about rape
23:39
Speaker 1: and other sexual violence by parents and authority figures. That
23:43
Speaker 1: shit is chilling, man. And, you know, we don't talk
23:46
Speaker 1: about it a lot on this podcast because we're talking
23:50
Speaker 1: about one case in particular. But a lot of this
23:54
Speaker 1: sexual violence does happen in the home. And most of
23:57
Speaker 1: it happens from somebody that these girls or boys know.
24:02
Speaker 1: So it's a big problem around the world. Certainly not
24:04
Speaker 1: just in America. And certainly not just in France. And
24:08
Speaker 1: we need to make sure that we're holding people responsible.
24:12
Speaker 1: if they're abusing the most vulnerable amongst us, the youngest
24:16
Speaker 1: amongst us, those who have not had any time to
24:20
Speaker 1: really live life or know right from wrong. These are
24:25
Speaker 1: the people that need to be rounded up and these
24:29
Speaker 1: are the people that need to face the music. And
24:32
Speaker 1: as far as statutes of limitation, when we're talking about
24:37
Speaker 1: actual rape and this kind of thing, that needs to
24:41
Speaker 1: be looked at every single case needs to be unique
24:45
Speaker 1: in my opinion and if the evidence is there and
24:49
Speaker 1: there's actual evidence then i don't think it should matter
24:52
Speaker 1: how long ago it was if you have tangible evidence
24:56
Speaker 1: um physical evidence eyewitness testimony then i think that's enough
25:02
Speaker 1: now if there's no evidence and you know it's he
25:06
Speaker 1: said she said then obviously that's a different a different
25:10
Speaker 1: situation But when you have something this pervasive and so
25:13
Speaker 1: many people are coming forward and so many people are
25:16
Speaker 1: saying that this occurred, well, I think that a special
25:22
Speaker 1: look should be had. Finally was the refrain Wednesday from
25:29
Speaker 1: survivors and child protection activists who have long pushed for
25:33
Speaker 1: tougher laws and greater societal recognition of the problem. That's
25:38
Speaker 1: definitely an issue. Society needs to recognize this issue. One
25:43
Speaker 1: of the things is it's a very uncomfortable subject to
25:45
Speaker 1: talk about, and it's even more uncomfortable to research it.
25:50
Speaker 1: So I understand why society as a whole kind of
25:54
Speaker 1: looks the other way. Until it's shoved in front of
25:57
Speaker 1: their face, most people don't want to think about this shit.
26:00
Speaker 1: And guess what? I was most people. I didn't want
26:02
Speaker 1: to think about this abuse, this rampant abuse to children
26:06
Speaker 1: and women and boys. And who wants to think about this?
26:10
Speaker 1: Who wants to exist in a world where this occurs?
26:14
Speaker 1: Certainly not me. But sometimes, like in the Matrix, when
26:20
Speaker 1: you eat that red pill, there is no going back.
26:23
Speaker 1: And now that the door has been opened, I think
26:26
Speaker 1: it would be absolutely disgusting on my part to not
26:30
Speaker 1: recognize the problem and not to do whatever part that
26:36
Speaker 1: I can to make sure that this stuff does not
26:39
Speaker 1: occur in the future. And I feel like for me,
26:44
Speaker 1: my little part is to bring some light to some
26:48
Speaker 1: of these issues that maybe aren't getting that much coverage.
26:51
Speaker 1: And once I crack that door open a little, all
26:53
Speaker 1: of you who are out there listening to this show,
26:55
Speaker 1: you guys, you know, dig in. You kick in the
26:57
Speaker 1: door and you start digging deeper. And that's how all
27:01
Speaker 1: of this stuff works, right? So it's about time that
27:07
Speaker 1: people are taking note of this. And I think it's
27:10
Speaker 1: a worthy discussion to have. You know, if we're going
27:14
Speaker 1: to talk about such, you know, mundane things as steroids
27:20
Speaker 1: and baseball in Congress, then I think stuff like this
27:23
Speaker 1: most certainly warrants a look. France's lack of an age
27:29
Speaker 1: of consent, along with statues of limitations, have complicated efforts
27:33
Speaker 1: to prosecute alleged perpetrators, including a prominent modeling agent, a
27:38
Speaker 1: predatory priest, a surgeon, and a group of firefighters accused
27:43
Speaker 1: of systematic sexual abuse. It sounds like some kind of
27:49
Speaker 1: terrible joke, right? So a modeling agent, a predatory priest,
27:53
Speaker 1: a surgeon, and a group of firefighters accused of systematic
27:56
Speaker 1: sexual abuse walk into a bar. I mean, holy cow, folks.
28:02
Speaker 1: It shows you that this is occurring at every single
28:05
Speaker 1: walk of life. And most of us are walking around
28:08
Speaker 1: in a cloud, not even recognizing what's going on. Calling
28:15
Speaker 1: such treatment of children intolerable, the Justice Ministry said the
28:19
Speaker 1: government is determined to act quickly to implement the changes
28:23
Speaker 1: that our society expects. So that definitely bodes well. If
28:28
Speaker 1: the Justice Ministry themselves are saying this and they're going
28:31
Speaker 1: to be proactive and they're going to look to push
28:35
Speaker 1: the envelope here and make the changes that are necessary,
28:39
Speaker 1: then I think that is a very, very good thing.
28:44
Speaker 1: Because like I said, speaking to the few people in
28:47
Speaker 1: France that I know and the few content creators that
28:50
Speaker 1: I know that are from France, they certainly say that
28:54
Speaker 1: the people of France are sick of this shit too.
28:57
Speaker 1: That the average folk, like everywhere else, are sick of
29:00
Speaker 1: the predator class, aka the so-called elite, acting in a
29:05
Speaker 1: predatory manner towards our children, the most vulnerable amongst us,
29:10
Speaker 1: to everybody who they consider less than. An act of
29:17
Speaker 1: sexual penetration by an adult on a minor under 15
29:21
Speaker 1: will be considered a rape, Justice Minister Eric Dupont Moretti
29:25
Speaker 1: said Tuesday on France 2 television. Perpetrators could no longer
29:29
Speaker 1: cite consent to diminish the charges, he said, though exceptions
29:33
Speaker 1: would be made for teenagers having consensual sex. I think
29:37
Speaker 1: that's proper. Again, teenagers that are having consensual sex a
29:40
Speaker 1: 19 year old and a 16 year old I think
29:43
Speaker 1: that there's a lot of gray area there and we
29:45
Speaker 1: all know that teenagers are let's be real pretty stupid
29:49
Speaker 1: so I think it's a good idea to not have
29:53
Speaker 1: one absolute law over everything you have to look at
29:57
Speaker 1: each situation in a unique manner right But when it
30:00
Speaker 1: comes to these old ass men, these gross ass, disgusting ass,
30:05
Speaker 1: decrepit ass, physically disgusting ass mofos, well, these people need
30:10
Speaker 1: to be held to account for what they're doing. They
30:13
Speaker 1: know exactly what's going on. They're out here grooming these girls,
30:16
Speaker 1: buying them gifts, this, that, and the other thing. They
30:20
Speaker 1: have one purpose in mind, and that's to sexually assault
30:24
Speaker 1: and manipulate these girls through the grooming process. Meanwhile, the
30:30
Speaker 1: 19-year-old knucklehead, well, we all know the deal there, right?
30:34
Speaker 1: We all know what the 19-year-old's looking for. The change
30:39
Speaker 1: still needs to be enshrined in law, but the announcement
30:42
Speaker 1: is a major step. Now, with everything else, when it
30:45
Speaker 1: comes to lawmakers, let's see what they have to say.
30:49
Speaker 1: Let's see what they do. Let's see if the French,
30:51
Speaker 1: I guess, Parliament, I don't know, whatever it's called. Let's
30:55
Speaker 1: see what they have to say about all of this.
30:57
Speaker 1: And let's see if they have the backbone to initiate
31:00
Speaker 1: it and to make sure that it has teeth. The
31:05
Speaker 1: world is certainly watching. It's very good that there is
31:11
Speaker 1: this revived debate, that there is an idea of a
31:14
Speaker 1: minimum age of consent, said Fatima Benamar, whose group, Les Affrontis,
31:20
Speaker 1: has pushed for stronger laws against sexual abusers. This will
31:24
Speaker 1: make adults more responsible. Hey, whoa, what do you know
31:27
Speaker 1: about that, huh? Responsibility for adults? Come on, this is
31:32
Speaker 1: the year 2021. I thought that went out the window.
31:35
Speaker 1: I thought it's society's problem and there's no more self-responsibility.
31:41
Speaker 1: Refreshing to see that people are actually saying, you know, hey,
31:44
Speaker 1: you have to be responsible for your actions. I know,
31:50
Speaker 1: I know it's such a novel idea, but you would
31:54
Speaker 1: think that in the year 2021, we would all be
31:57
Speaker 1: at the same point to know that we're responsible ultimately
32:02
Speaker 1: for the things that we do. An effort to set
32:06
Speaker 1: France's first age of consent three years ago in the
32:09
Speaker 1: wake of the global Me Too movement failed amid legal complications.
32:15
Speaker 1: Let me break that down for you. It failed because
32:16
Speaker 1: the elite of France didn't want to give up their
32:19
Speaker 1: predatory nature. Unfortunately, that's what it was. Well, you don't
32:23
Speaker 1: think they were pressuring the politicians? And the politicians, for
32:26
Speaker 1: their part, how many sick bastards are amongst them? I'm
32:29
Speaker 1: sure many, folks. So it's no shock to me that
32:33
Speaker 1: it failed the first... But it has gained new momentum
32:36
Speaker 1: since accusations emerged last month of incestuous sexual abuse involving
32:42
Speaker 1: a prominent French political expert, Oliver Duhamel, that unleashed an
32:47
Speaker 1: online MeToo incest movement in France that led to tens
32:52
Speaker 1: of thousands of similar testimonies. All right, hang on, pump
32:56
Speaker 1: the brakes. Tens of thousands of similar testimonies? What in
33:02
Speaker 1: the hell is going on in France? There's that much
33:07
Speaker 1: incest going on here? I mean, we have that many
33:11
Speaker 1: people with Habsburg jaws running around at this point? What
33:14
Speaker 1: in the hell, France? Tens of thousands? That's really disturbing, folks, honestly,
33:19
Speaker 1: all kidding aside. And it goes to show you that
33:24
Speaker 1: it's a pervasive problem in France and elsewhere, and it's
33:28
Speaker 1: about time that the French authorities start to take notice
33:31
Speaker 1: of this. but be very vigilant and take a look
33:39
Speaker 1: at what prompted all of this. It was the backlash
33:42
Speaker 1: from the people, aka you. So when I say one
33:45
Speaker 1: gnat doesn't mean shit, but 10 million gnats can drown people,
33:50
Speaker 1: this is exactly what I mean. When we get together
33:52
Speaker 1: and we demand stuff like this as citizens, they have
33:55
Speaker 1: to take notice. The Justice Ministry is in discussions with Wow.
34:02
Speaker 1: All of that is just so disturbing. And the fact
34:28
Speaker 1: that it takes so long for a lot of these
34:30
Speaker 1: people to come out and speak about the trauma that
34:33
Speaker 1: they went through just goes to the fact that there
34:36
Speaker 1: are so many girls and women that were abused by
34:40
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein that still haven't come to grips with it,
34:44
Speaker 1: that still have not come forward. And that really disturbs me.
34:48
Speaker 1: It's one of the most disturbing chapters of this whole
34:51
Speaker 1: entire story, in my opinion. The ministry also says it
34:57
Speaker 1: wants to ensure that survivors of the same perpetrator do
35:01
Speaker 1: not receive different legal treatment, which could broaden the scope
35:04
Speaker 1: to prosecute those accused of abusing multiple people over decades.
35:10
Speaker 1: So they want to make sure it's uniformed. They want
35:12
Speaker 1: to make sure if someone's getting the book thrown at
35:15
Speaker 1: them that it is a uniformed process. And it's about
35:19
Speaker 1: time that France gets their house in order in this regard,
35:22
Speaker 1: in my opinion. Very, very... It's been a very long
35:25
Speaker 1: time coming, in my opinion. Legal time limits have hampered
35:32
Speaker 1: French authorities' ability to investigate an influential cardinal, Philippe Barbarin,
35:38
Speaker 1: convicted then acquitted of covering up for a predatory priest.
35:42
Speaker 1: Modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, an associate of disgraced late U.S. financier,
35:48
Speaker 1: pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, accused of an array of sex crimes,
35:52
Speaker 1: and surgeon Joelle La Scorneck, convicted after accusations he sexually
35:59
Speaker 1: abused more than 300 children over decades, as well as
36:04
Speaker 1: other less prominent cases. And we see it in America too.
36:08
Speaker 1: We see it with Michigan State, the athletic trainer from
36:13
Speaker 1: Michigan State. We've seen it at Ohio State in the
36:16
Speaker 1: wrestling room. And how many other situations have we seen
36:19
Speaker 1: that are very similar to situations just like this? So again,
36:24
Speaker 1: this is not an American problem. This is not a
36:27
Speaker 1: French problem. This is not just an English problem. This
36:30
Speaker 1: is a world problem. And all of us together have
36:33
Speaker 1: to stand tall before the wagon and demand that these
36:36
Speaker 1: sons of bitches are held responsible. One of Brunel's alleged survivors,
36:45
Speaker 1: former model Fizia Housman, welcomed the proposed reform. Even though
36:50
Speaker 1: it's too late for her to seek justice for the rape,
36:52
Speaker 1: she says, she suffered as a teenager. And while Fizia
36:56
Speaker 1: can't physically get the justice for herself that she deserves,
37:02
Speaker 1: I hope that she gets justice vicariously through these other
37:06
Speaker 1: girls who are coming forward and ultimately through the prosecution
37:11
Speaker 1: and conviction of Of Jean-Luc Brunel. It feels empowering. And
37:18
Speaker 1: that's really important. She said. I thought nothing was ever
37:21
Speaker 1: going to change. Hoosman came forward. And testified to police.
37:25
Speaker 1: In hopes of eliciting change. And encouraging other alleged survivors.
37:29
Speaker 1: To speak out. It's really important to me. As a victim.
37:32
Speaker 1: A survivor. That we came forward. As a group. She said.
37:37
Speaker 1: And she was not wrong about that. Look. I remember
37:40
Speaker 1: when Thisia first came forward. very bravely. And it is
37:45
Speaker 1: the sort of thing that's needed. Somebody needs to pick
37:48
Speaker 1: up the mantle and lead the charge. And when it
37:50
Speaker 1: comes to these girls who have basically been forced to
37:54
Speaker 1: live in the shadows and live with what happened to them,
37:58
Speaker 1: hanging over them for all of these years, it must
38:01
Speaker 1: be empowering to now emerge and snatch the narrative back
38:05
Speaker 1: and say, look, enough is enough. You've abused us for decades.
38:10
Speaker 1: Now we're going to take the center of the octagon.
38:13
Speaker 1: We're going to bite down on our mouthpiece and we're
38:16
Speaker 1: going to come forward and throw bombs. And that's exactly
38:20
Speaker 1: what's going on here, folks, right? These dudes, meaning Epstein
38:24
Speaker 1: and all of his cohorts and all of his criminal associates,
38:28
Speaker 1: they dumped their gas tank in two rounds and it
38:31
Speaker 1: was a rough two rounds, right? Battered and bruised. All
38:35
Speaker 1: kinds of situations where the fight was almost over. But
38:40
Speaker 1: it's a five-round fight, isn't it? Got back to the stool,
38:45
Speaker 1: got a bit of attention, came back out for the
38:47
Speaker 1: third round, the championship round's on their way, and well,
38:52
Speaker 1: took the initiative. And that's exactly what's going on right
38:56
Speaker 1: here and right now as these survivors have had enough
39:00
Speaker 1: and they all band together to fight back. France's highest
39:05
Speaker 1: court considered a case Wednesday involving a woman who said
39:08
Speaker 1: multiple firefighters raped her when she was between the ages
39:12
Speaker 1: of 13 and 15. A lower court downgraded the charges
39:16
Speaker 1: to sexual assault, but her lawyers want them reclassified as rape. Uh, yeah.
39:22
Speaker 1: If she was raped by these firefighters, then it should
39:25
Speaker 1: be classified as rape. Again, technicalities and loopholes, folks. I mean,
39:30
Speaker 1: how often do we have to see them? And obviously,
39:33
Speaker 1: once again, it's not just America that is plagued by this.
39:39
Speaker 1: Under current French law, sexual relations between an adult and
39:43
Speaker 1: a minor under 15 are banned. Yet the law accepts
39:46
Speaker 1: the possibility that someone under 15 is capable of consenting
39:50
Speaker 1: to sex, leading to cases where an adult is prosecuted
39:54
Speaker 1: for sexual assault instead of rape and therefore faces a
39:58
Speaker 1: lighter prison sentence. You know, I don't have enough information
40:01
Speaker 1: on all of that to have a proper opinion. But
40:04
Speaker 1: if you're a 38-year-old dude, 27-year-old dude, 26-year-old dude, You
40:08
Speaker 1: shouldn't be messing around with a 15-year-old, in my opinion.
40:11
Speaker 1: There's really no gray area there from where I'm sitting.
40:16
Speaker 1: In the Duhamel case, the Paris prosecutor opened an investigation
40:20
Speaker 1: into alleged rapes and sexual abuses by a person exercising
40:24
Speaker 1: authority over a child following accusations in a book by
40:29
Speaker 1: his stepdaughter that he abused her twin brother in the
40:33
Speaker 1: 1980s when the siblings were in their early teens. And again,
40:38
Speaker 1: I don't know enough about this Duhamel case to really
40:41
Speaker 1: get into the weeds, but it's unfortunately the same MO
40:46
Speaker 1: and the same scenario we see play out over and
40:49
Speaker 1: over again, right? These people who were abused take decades
40:54
Speaker 1: in some cases to come out and build up the
40:58
Speaker 1: courage to speak out considering what they've been through. But
41:02
Speaker 1: once they get to that point, once they get over
41:05
Speaker 1: the hump and they reach the summit, They are unstoppable.
41:09
Speaker 1: And you see that with all of these brave survivors
41:12
Speaker 1: that have come forward and told their story. Duhamel, saying
41:18
Speaker 1: he was the target of personal attacks, stepped down from
41:21
Speaker 1: his many professional positions, including a TV commentator and head
41:25
Speaker 1: of National Foundation of Political Sciences. The foundation manages the
41:30
Speaker 1: prestigious sciences, Pau University in Paris, whose director, Frédéric Mionne,
41:36
Speaker 1: resigned this week amid the fallout from the affair, which
41:39
Speaker 1: entangled multiple people among France's elite. Well, that shouldn't shock
41:45
Speaker 1: anybody out there. It's not just one of these people, right,
41:49
Speaker 1: that's acting like this. As disturbing as it may be,
41:53
Speaker 1: this is obviously the accepted behavior in so-called polite society.
41:58
Speaker 1: This is how they all conduct themselves. So why should
42:01
Speaker 1: they act surprised or disgusted when one of their buddies
42:07
Speaker 1: are caught. Who knows what these scumbags are really doing
42:10
Speaker 1: behind the shadows, folks. We've just gotten a small little glimpse, right?
42:17
Speaker 1: Since the Duhamel accusation surfaced, searing accounts of alleged incestuous
42:22
Speaker 1: abuse filled social networks. This is disturbing shit right here.
42:26
