- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, I sure will.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning everybody you are listening to the voice, come on,
- 0:08Speaker 2: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Got a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man. You
- 0:17Speaker 1: know what y'all?
- 0:18Speaker 2: I mean, Really, the goodness of God is overwhelming if
- 0:21Speaker 2: you think about it, I mean, really really think about it,
- 0:26Speaker 2: even when your circumstance doesn't look so bright, even when
- 0:31Speaker 2: you're going through something that's causing you discomfort, pain, Even
- 0:37Speaker 2: in that, God's goodness is actually overwhelming because don't forget
- 0:45Speaker 2: why you're going through this moment. First of all, this
- 0:49Speaker 2: too shall pass. But also secondly, remember man, ain't everything
- 0:54Speaker 2: else that you've gone through that seems so insurmountable at
- 0:58Speaker 2: the time you get past that too. I mean, it's
- 1:03Speaker 2: amazing if you really think about it, you don't get
- 1:07Speaker 2: stuck on any one issue your whole life. The only
- 1:11Speaker 2: people that get stuck on an issue they whole life
- 1:14Speaker 2: is people who won't let it go. That's really all
- 1:17Speaker 2: it is. There are people who exist, and you may
- 1:21Speaker 2: be one of them. Oh please know, I've been guilty
- 1:24Speaker 2: of it myself before, but I learned something. There are
- 1:28Speaker 2: things in my past that I just would not let
- 1:31Speaker 2: go of it.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Was done. It was over with. I was past it, but.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I I would not let go of it.
- 1:40Speaker 1: It was over.
- 1:41Speaker 2: The dude that did it to me didn't exist no more.
- 1:44Speaker 2: The problem that it created didn't exist no more. The
- 1:47Speaker 2: only problem that kept hanging on was I would not
- 1:51Speaker 2: let it go. And man, you can't go forward if
- 1:56Speaker 2: you're gonna keep looking in the past.
- 1:58Speaker 1: It's an impossible thing. It's like driving a car.
- 2:02Speaker 2: If you keep looking only in the rearview mirror while
- 2:05Speaker 2: you're driving, you're going to crash pretty soon.
- 2:09Speaker 1: And a lot of people just keep crashing.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Over and over and over and over because you won't
- 2:15Speaker 2: drive your car you keep looking.
- 2:17Speaker 1: In the real view mirror at the past. Oh woe
- 2:21Speaker 1: is me?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Oh? You know they did me like that? You know
- 2:24Speaker 2: I ain't been the same since he cheated on me. Oh, man,
- 2:27Speaker 2: every since she stole my money, I ain't been the
- 2:30Speaker 2: same man she played me, and ever since that, I
- 2:33Speaker 2: done treated women differently. You may have some deeper stuff
- 2:36Speaker 2: going on, but eventually, guess what. Do you understand that
- 2:40Speaker 2: when you have a relationship God with God, you can
- 2:43Speaker 2: take that to him too and drop it off and
- 2:47Speaker 2: leave it there. Do you know that he can fix
- 2:50Speaker 2: and heal that. Maybe it's something serious like that that
- 2:54Speaker 2: you need fixing or healing from. A relationship with God
- 2:58Speaker 2: can fix and heal that. But man, come on, y'all,
- 3:02Speaker 2: whatever it is, and I'm not trying to downplay it
- 3:06Speaker 2: or make it act like it wasn't traumatic in your life, because.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Oh God, you don't want to.
- 3:11Speaker 2: You know, you don't want nobody to do that to you,
- 3:12Speaker 2: because you want to be the the you know, the
- 3:15Speaker 2: post a child for misery. So please don't let me
- 3:19Speaker 2: take that from you. If that's your position, that's your
- 3:22Speaker 2: hall of fame card you hanging on to. I'm the
- 3:25Speaker 2: poster child for misery. Oh no, one is more woe
- 3:29Speaker 2: than me than Please don't let Steve try to take
- 3:32Speaker 2: that from you. You go ahead and hang on to that.
- 3:35Speaker 2: But let me tell you something though. If that's what
- 3:37Speaker 2: you're gonna hang on to, that's what you're gonna always
- 3:40Speaker 2: be the poster child for misery. At one point in time,
- 3:43Speaker 2: you're gonna have to get on and move past it. Sometimes, man,
- 3:47Speaker 2: it's merely a simple thing of taking it to God
- 3:50Speaker 2: and leaving it there. You know, some people don't have
- 3:53Speaker 2: money for therapy. Some people don't even know who to
- 3:56Speaker 2: call for therapy. God is the best psycho in the world.
- 4:01Speaker 2: He can fix it for you. There is nothing too
- 4:04Speaker 2: hard for God. You know when something seems impossible, y'all.
- 4:08Speaker 2: God does the impossible all the time every day. You
- 4:12Speaker 2: won't know how I know. I just look at a
- 4:15Speaker 2: couple basic things. Do you know that that sun comes
- 4:18Speaker 2: up every day in the morning. It comes up in
- 4:20Speaker 2: the east and it sets in the west. You can't
- 4:23Speaker 2: do nothing about that. All you can you can wish
- 4:26Speaker 2: because you plant at your flowers on a certain side
- 4:29Speaker 2: of your house. You can wish all you want. And
- 4:31Speaker 2: maybe one day he would bring it up out the
- 4:33Speaker 2: northwest so those flowers would no. Now it's gonna come
- 4:36Speaker 2: up out the east. And once the sun hits the horizon.
- 4:40Speaker 2: When you look in the water, like if you ever
- 4:42Speaker 2: out in La and you see the sun going down.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Once the sun once you can visually see the sun
- 4:48Speaker 2: touching the horizon, you have three minutes. You have exactly
- 4:53Speaker 2: three minutes. You can sit there with your watch. You
- 4:54Speaker 2: can timeyah three minutes and it's gone. Three minutes is gone.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I read that somewhere and then I went and tried it.
- 5:03Speaker 2: It's gone. Every day, if it's clear enough, not cloudy.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Once the sun touches the horizon. On water, you got
- 5:11Speaker 2: three minutes. When the wind blows, you can't do nothing
- 5:15Speaker 2: about it. He can bring it from the northeast, he
- 5:18Speaker 2: can bring it from the west, he can bring from
- 5:19Speaker 2: the south. He can bring it hard, he can bring
- 5:21Speaker 2: it cool, he can bring it hot. It's certain things
- 5:24Speaker 2: that God does the impossible all the time. How those
- 5:27Speaker 2: stars sitting up there, How can you find these constellations, the.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Big dipp of the Little Dipper, Ryan the Hunter, Oh
- 5:35Speaker 1: that's God. God. Ain't nothing you can do about it.
- 5:37Speaker 2: You can't reach them stars, you can't shoot at them,
- 5:40Speaker 2: you can't move them out the way. Or Ryan the
- 5:42Speaker 2: Hunter's belt. There's gonna beat them three stars out of ankle.
- 5:45Speaker 2: You can call it what you want to call it. Still,
- 5:47Speaker 2: that's what it is. See, he does the impossible all
- 5:50Speaker 2: the time. He created heaven and Earth. You're saying that
- 5:54Speaker 2: God can't get you through your past. Somebody did this
- 5:58Speaker 2: to me. It's the worst I had, the worst childhood
- 6:01Speaker 2: of anybody. God can't get you past that. He can
- 6:05Speaker 2: move heaven mountains, Earth, he can form the Grand Canyon,
- 6:10Speaker 2: he can make the water, Come over, Niaga Falls twenty
- 6:13Speaker 2: four seven. He can't fix yo little bitty past yours.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It's amazing how people make their problems bigger than God.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Somebody told me one time, stop telling God how big
- 6:27Speaker 2: your problems are, and start telling your problems how big
- 6:31Speaker 2: God is, and go on with your life. Quit driving
- 6:36Speaker 2: your car looking in the rear view mirror. Ain't nothing
- 6:39Speaker 2: back there but your past. And if it was hurtful
- 6:42Speaker 2: or painful, or something you just felt like you can't
- 6:45Speaker 2: get over, take your problems.
- 6:47Speaker 1: To God and leave them there.
- 6:49Speaker 2: You hear the old spiritual all you've heard it, Take
- 6:51Speaker 2: your birdens to the Lord, leave them yet all the time.
- 6:55Speaker 2: But you think that applies to everyone. But you, come on, man,
- 7:00Speaker 2: a lot of people out there going through much worse
- 7:02Speaker 2: than you have and have overcome it all. Why won't
- 7:06Speaker 2: you take the step to overcome your past so you
- 7:09Speaker 2: can get on with driving your car and see what
- 7:11Speaker 2: God trying to take you. But it's a trick of
- 7:13Speaker 2: the enemy. The enemy tricks you from seeing your future
- 7:17Speaker 2: by having you constantly looking in your past. Man, it's
- 7:21Speaker 2: a trick of the devil. If the devil just let
- 7:23Speaker 2: you quit, if he would just let you get to
- 7:26Speaker 2: drive in your car. Look out into your future. Your
- 7:29Speaker 2: future shows hopefulness. You have hope when you see the future.
- 7:35Speaker 2: But he can keep you in misery if he keep
- 7:37Speaker 2: you looking at your miserable past. God looking for you, man,
- 7:42Speaker 2: God would love to hear from you. Let's spend some
- 7:45Speaker 2: time talking to God today. Hey God, what's happening.
- 7:49Speaker 1: It's me.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I know I ain't talk to you in a while,
- 7:51Speaker 2: but feel bad about that. But I need you.
- 7:55Speaker 1: He know that. Everybody should say that prayer all the time.
- 7:58Speaker 2: It's cool, all right, I'm listening to the Steve Harvey
- 8:01Speaker 2: Morning Show.
