- 0:02Welcome, welcome, welcome everybody to another episode of
- 0:06space news pod, my name is Will Walden.
- 0:09And, and this episode we're going to be talking about I
- 0:15broke it. They're supposed to be stuff.
- 0:19They're supposed to be stuff right over there.
- 0:21Right over there, there's supposed to be stuff.
- 0:23I broke it. Let me fix it.
- 0:27Well, I guess they didn't fix that.
- 0:29It was this house is happening. Hold on a second.
- 0:31Now, you try this again. Welcome everybody.
- 0:33The space is POD. It is broken.
- 0:36It's still broken. Let's do it live.
- 0:39Here we go. Okay so there's a couple topics
- 0:41we're going to talk about today. That's not working it a little
- 0:45bit. There we go.
- 0:46Alright I fixed it. Okay this is a couple the title
- 0:49is back David's yeah the sm9 watch, we got this.
- 0:53Okay, so there's a couple topics we're going to talk about today.
- 0:56I want to say welcome to istvan for becoming the latest member
- 1:00of the show. Also we have a couple new
- 1:02patreon patrons. Let me get over there and check
- 1:05that out real quick and make sure that they know who they
- 1:09are. Matt Dickie, Jerry pre and
- 1:11allies Beth. Thank you so much for becoming.
- 1:14Patreon. Patrons, your patronage helps,
- 1:17get us to the next level. And here's a patreon link.
- 1:22That should work. Hopefully, it works.
- 1:24There we go. It works.
- 1:25I don't know when things work like that or if they do.
- 1:29So I will say thanks to everybody who's been supporting
- 1:32the show. Because without you, we couldn't
- 1:34do this. It's all because of you and
- 1:37because of that with tentative plans are to get down to Boca
- 1:43Chica You live and do live launches and do live remote, you
- 1:49know, news stuff instead of sitting in the studio here, I'd
- 1:53be sitting on the side of the road at a Dusty Road in Texas,
- 1:58getting dirty for you guys. So, so that would be fun.
- 2:03Like that's, that's what I want. I want to get dirty, I want to
- 2:06be on the side of the road. Set up a camera, make sure we
- 2:09get those great views of Starship.
- 2:10And speaking of that, we do have I want to show you guys this do,
- 2:15this is pretty cool. We do have some live views right
- 2:18now on our Channel. We have a live stream of
- 2:22Starship, constantly 24/7 going on.
- 2:26So if you want to check that out.
- 2:28Here's a live view of that. We're about five and a half
- 2:31miles away from Starship, so there's some atmospheric kind of
- 2:35stuff going on, but you do get a live view of Starship which is
- 2:40pretty cool and we're working on in that broke again and that and
- 2:43we're working on getting better views.
- 2:46So hopefully we can get those going on with people.
- 2:50That are helping support the channel.
- 2:53And, you know, those people that I mentioned before, very helpful
- 2:56and we'll have a whole list of people at the end of the show
- 2:59that helps support the show if you want to support the show and
- 3:02get me down to Texas, hit the Subscribe button, make sure to
- 3:05give it a thumbs up because all that support really helps to.
- 3:08So thank you so much. Okay, so let's move on.
- 3:14Starlink has been moved a little bit.
- 3:17We have a little bit of Little bit of a star like delay but not
- 3:22too much. Okay, so not too much.
- 3:24Let's get into that a little bit, just for a couple seconds
- 3:27here. Star Lake has been moved.
- 3:30Sternly launch has been moved to February, 2nd at 6:19 am.
- 3:37Who's going to be up for that? Anybody gonna be awake.
- 3:40Unfortunately, I won't be awake for that.
- 3:42That's way too late or early for me to be there.
- 3:47So I won't be doing it live this time, but I just want to let you
- 3:52guys know. The Star Lake is now scheduled
- 3:54the 18th star like mission is scheduled for February 2nd at
- 3:596:19. Am star like 17, you get up at 4
- 4:03a.m. you monster. Well, you'll be able To watch
- 4:07it. Then that'll be great.
- 4:09I so I've tried to wake up super early before in like trying to
- 4:15cut it, like, move my schedule down to like 5 a.m. and I had to
- 4:19do it for a little bit when I work in San Diego, but it just,
- 4:26I was a zombie. For I would say, 99.8% of the
- 4:31day, they moved it to the third to they really.
- 4:34Okay, let's refresh. You like, okay, so if it's a
- 4:38third thing, is the third, there we go.
- 4:41We'll get a little bit more detail on that.
- 4:42Will make sure you guys are updated on our Discord and
- 4:45Twitter as far as the starlink launch goes.
- 4:49So let's move on to the next thing.
- 4:51So we all know we've all been hearing about SpaceX and the
- 4:56drama that is SpaceX lately with s and 9s N8.
- 5:01All the FAA drama this show is brought to you by backblaze.
- 5:05I used Back place to back up my podcast, my video files, all of
- 5:09my writing stuff, and all my photos.
- 5:11And you get unlimited computer backup, for Macs and PCs for
- 5:14just $7 a month. You can backup your own
- 5:17documents photos videos. Drawings projects, all of your
- 5:21data and access your backed up data from anywhere in the world
- 5:24using the web app and you can access the files on your mobile
- 5:27to iOS Android apps all covered. And this is the cool part.
- 5:31This is my favorite part. You can restore it by mail, a
- 5:33hard drive will come to your house with all Your data shipped
- 5:37to your door, I could come to your business to and you can
- 5:39restore return refund program so you can buy a hard drive
- 5:42restore, send the hard drive back within 30 days and get a
- 5:46full refund. So basically they ship you this
- 5:48hard drive and then you ship it back and you don't ever pay for
- 5:51it which is the perfect program for somebody who has huge files.
- 5:55You don't want to waste days and days, downloading terabytes and
- 5:58teraflops of data. And if you're worried about
- 6:01accidentally, deleting your files to bucks extra month, you
- 6:04can increase your retention history.
- 6:06To one year and I use it for all of my video.
- 6:08Files comes in super handy. So seven dollars plus two
- 6:12dollars nine dollars a month and you get everything backed up.
- 6:15He's a mind for up to a year. And if you use the URL back,
- 6:19place.com slash Ilan, you get a fully featured 15-day.
- 6:24No credit card required. Free trial, check it out, play
- 6:28with it. Start protecting yourself from
- 6:29potential, bad times, back your stuff up.
- 6:32It's recommended by the New York Times ink, Mac.
- 6:35World PC World Life wire wired, Tom's guide, 925 mac and more
- 6:40and it's recently been listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange under
- 6:43be lze. So you know they're legit back
- 6:46plays is committed more than ever to bring an easy and
- 6:49affordable data storage that you can trust don't be that person
- 6:52that forgot to back up their important files.
- 6:54We've got your back sign up for a free 15 day trial no credit
- 6:59card required go there sign up I you with it it's really powerful
- 7:03in is really easy to use so go to back plays Dot-com /i Elan
- 7:07backblaze.com Ilan, backblaze.com Ilan and you know
- 7:16who knows what's going on? Who's knows what's going on
- 7:19here, the FAA and SpaceX have been kind of, you know, Ilan
- 7:25hasn't been very nice to the FAA recently and I want to make sure
- 7:31that everybody knows that everything's okay.
- 7:36Sn9. Is doing okay as a knight is on
- 7:40the pad, it's ready to go. There are some things that the
- 7:44FAA had to take care of in order for sn9 to launch.
- 7:50There were some supposed things that happen with sn8.
- 7:55There's so many rumors flying around right now and I want to
- 7:57let you guys know that, if it's a rumor, don't listen to it.
- 8:02Sound like February 3rd. At 5:57 am way too early still.
- 8:07Thanks Neil. You don't listen to all the
- 8:13rumors you hear about Starship. The FAA and please, please be
- 8:17nice to the FAA. They're doing this for you.
- 8:21So, and I'm, I'm not a, like, a government guy, right?
- 8:26I'm one of those people. That's, like, we turn down the
- 8:28music a little bit. And I'm one of those guys that's
- 8:30like, you know what? Let's try to try to get these
- 8:32things to Mars as soon as possible.
- 8:35But before they go to Mars, before they launch these things,
- 8:37they have to make sure that people are safe and that future
- 8:42people are safe, right? So the FAA, when they first
- 8:46started, I kind of, I kind of equate it to The airline
- 8:50industry at the beginning, the most dangerous part of a flight
- 8:54from New York to Los Angeles, was the flight from New York to
- 8:58Los Angeles. Now, the most dangerous part of
- 9:02a flight from New York to Los Angeles, is getting to the
- 9:06airport everything in between where you are and getting onto
- 9:11the plane is the most dangerous part.
- 9:13And now flying is the most safe part.
- 9:16That's what they want to do, is Starship, because this is all
- 9:19new, right? So commercial spaceflight for
- 9:23people to launch two different planets to the Moon everywhere
- 9:29from New York to LA and couple, you know, like half an hour.
- 9:34That's all new. So they're just want to make
- 9:37sure the FAA wants to make sure the SpaceX like that.
- 9:40They lay the groundwork for SpaceX to do its thing.
- 9:44And they're working together Alana's Basics are working
- 9:48together with the FAA to make sure that everything goes as
- 9:52planned. There were some sn8 drama going
- 9:55on here and I want to make sure that you guys know about that,
- 9:58too. So Basically this Christian
- 10:02Davenport Washington Post tweeted statement, from the FAA,
- 10:07just now regarding the space excess, and I feel like we will
- 10:09continue working with SpaceX to resolve outstanding State safety
- 10:12issues before we approve the next test flight.
- 10:14So, there was rumors about, you know, people driving by during
- 10:19the loading fuel during static fire times, things like that.
- 10:24But also there was a possible FAA SN 8 1 cent Network, that's
- 10:31bugging me. There's a possible FAA and sn8
- 10:37thing going on too we don't know.
- 10:41We don't know exactly what's happening.
- 10:42But here's the thing from Elan, unlike its aircraft division,
- 10:45which is fine, because they've had decades to figure it out.
- 10:49The FAA space division has fundamentally broken regulatory
- 10:52structure. Their rules are meant for a
- 10:54handful of expendable Rockets or expendable launches per year
- 10:58from a few government facilities under those rules.
- 11:00Humidity will never get to Mars. So basically Lon People thought
- 11:05that you'll on was saying, hey I don't like the FAA Ilan was
- 11:10basically just tweeting and like, Hey, we're not at the
- 11:12good. We're not at a good point yet
- 11:14and you know, we have to fix things, that's what you'll on.
- 11:18Does he shows up? And he goes like, Hey we're
- 11:20going to, we're going to change a lot of stuff that would Tesla
- 11:24doing it was face X boring company, all of his things.
- 11:28He's like I'm going to fundamentally change how things
- 11:30work. So that's what he's saying here
- 11:32in this tweet through the FAA. A A&R for the FAA to the FAA, I
- 11:37should say, and we're going to make sure that, you know, we're
- 11:43going to, we're going to report as much as we can on what's
- 11:47actually happening down there in Boca Chica.
- 11:50Not, you know, all the rumor mill that's going on, but there
- 11:53was a thing, Elon, musk's SpaceX violate is launch license.
- 12:00In explosive Starship test. I like the explosive part that
- 12:03was it was a good, good title triggering and FAA probes that
- 12:07this is for sn8 sna last December launched in, it blew up
- 12:16on the pad. It didn't land property
- 12:18properly, right? So there were rumors that, you
- 12:22know, sna cause this failure and made sure that the FAA looked at
- 12:29SM 9. For the future lights of s at
- 12:339sm 10s and 11s n, whatever until they get to a place where
- 12:40they can all make sure that everyone is safe.
- 12:45So for me, I want people to be safe, man.
- 12:47Like you should too, like, there's no reason why we will
- 12:53launch a dangerous thing, you know, even if it isn't dangerous
- 12:57now, the future Starships, Could possibly cause some damage.
- 13:01So the FAA stepped in and said, hey, sna didn't look right.
- 13:06So we take a look at this, we're going to make sure everything's
- 13:09good. And then when we feel everything
- 13:11is good, we'll give you the okay.
- 13:13We'll rewrite some rules will change some stuff up.
- 13:16It'll be fine. We're not exactly sure how much
- 13:18they changed or what they did change, or what they looked at
- 13:21yet. So anything that's going around
- 13:24unless it's an actual document from the FAA or SpaceX, I
- 13:28wouldn't believe it. If I were you anything that's
- 13:31been kind of pushed around on Twitter and like, conspiracy
- 13:34theories and all that stuff. Don't Listen to it don't let's
- 13:37do it. Make sure you get the facts,
- 13:40make sure you know what's going on before you get freaked out
- 13:45about this because the FAA is not against SpaceX They are
- 13:51actually there to help SpaceX because they want to nurture in
- 13:56this new sort of Paradigm Shift of Transportation.
- 14:03If you can get in a rocket in New York and get to La and 30
- 14:05minutes, why wouldn't you do that as opposed to get in a
- 14:10plane for eight hours, nine hours, whatever have a layover
- 14:14in Chicago, like that would be horrible.
- 14:18So I know the FAA is getting a lot of hate now but just, you
- 14:23know, it's okay. The FAA is important and also
- 14:27annoying Harry. Yeah, I so for me I think.
- 14:35Maybe I, maybe maybe the, you know, the FAA will not be be, I
- 14:44shouldn't say. Maybe at all.
- 14:45The FAA is doing the right thing.
- 14:46They're protecting people, that's their job.
- 14:48We need the FAA, we need the FAA to do what they do to keep
- 14:53people safe. That's it.
- 14:54That's what they're there for. So did the FAA give SpaceX
- 15:02approval going forward? To do a launch.
- 15:09Let's see, it. Lets okay.
- 15:10So let me let me ask you guys, this real quick in chat.
- 15:13Let me know a chat. When do you think SpaceX will
- 15:16launch sm9? Okay, do you think it's going to
- 15:22be tomorrow? You think it's going to be
- 15:24Wednesday? Do you think it's going to be
- 15:27next month? Let me know.
- 15:30Let me know. Tomorrow, and races tomorrow.
- 15:33This week Percy says, next week. February 3rd tomorrow.
- 15:39I really hope. I hope it's sooner than later.
- 15:41I think tomorrow, I hope this week.
- 15:42Next week, s N9. Tuesday, February 11th tomorrow.
- 15:49Oh man. Oh man.
- 15:53Oh man. That's so many people tomorrow,
- 15:59hoping tomorrow, but at this point I know who knows, right?
- 16:02Evan Beach, I agree with you. Who knows?
- 16:04Who knows? What's going on?
- 16:06Well, we have some information so going back to the whole
- 16:10information thing. How do you how do you get from?
- 16:16Like how do you get from all the FAA is bad, Cry.
- 16:20Me a River to FAA helping SpaceX and helping them launch, right?
- 16:28We got some tfrs. For February 2nd, that's
- 16:34tomorrow. This is a full flight profile
- 16:38for Starship sm9. Yes.
- 16:45So Starship TFR has been issued for tomorrow.
- 16:50Brownsville Texas. February 2nd 2021.
- 16:56All day long 1402 23:59 UTC to provide a safe environment for
- 17:02rocket launch and Recovery pursuant to 14.
- 17:05CFR this TFR my friends that rocket in the middle that little
- 17:11bracket right there. That's an SM 9 Starship, and
- 17:18this is the no-fly no boat, no people in the zone Zone.
- 17:22So the TFR is scheduled for tomorrow, that's one of them.
- 17:27Okay, so we have won t FR for tomorrow.
- 17:29Let's go back to these tfrs Wednesday.
- 17:35We have the same TFR set for Wednesday.
- 17:38So to tomorrow doesn't work for some reason.
- 17:40Wind or whatever, Wednesday possibly And then we have one
- 17:47for Thursday. All week, Tuesday, Wednesday,
- 17:54Thursday, they said you know we got we got this week guys, we
- 17:58got it. Right there, we have a full TFR
- 18:02that means space operations in the air.
- 18:09Yeah, so this is the important part though.
- 18:12Altitude from surface up to unlimited, that's important.
- 18:17That means rocket go up. Whoo.
- 18:19Whoo, we did it. We did it Reddit.
- 18:22So, we got tfrs for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- 18:26There's another one here set for Monday, but that's a local one
- 18:29that's for testing and, you know, rocket stuff.
- 18:32So they want to make sure that everyone is safe in the actual
- 18:35area of Brownsville Texas. And SpaceX.
- 18:40So Very cool. And that's, that's just the
- 18:46local one there. So we have Tuesday here,
- 18:49Tuesday. And we're going to go back and
- 18:53we have a Wednesday, one. And we have a Thursday one.
- 18:55I just want to make sure you guys know that we have Tuesday,
- 18:58Wednesday, and Thursday, set for TFR.
- 19:00So we will be bringing you live coverage.
- 19:04Dear father is not alive. A large license.
- 19:06Exactly. Debs.
- 19:07But we do have issuance of a TFR for SpaceX and their starship
- 19:13Rockets. So we're waiting on FAA.
- 19:17Launch license as well. I was going to get to that
- 19:19Deb's. You copy first so we have one
- 19:22piece of the puzzle, right? We have the tfrs FAA, launch
- 19:26license. We weren't we're not sure yet.
- 19:28What's going on with that? So there's another piece of the
- 19:31puzzle. We have to look at two.
- 19:33So from that piece, the first piece we want to take a look at
- 19:36the second piece, which of course.
- 19:39As we all know, and we all love the road closures of camera
- 19:43County. So Monday, February 1st, the
- 19:47closure was canceled. That's what I'm kind of over a
- 19:49over it with my body here. But that one right there, that
- 19:52says closure, it's canceled. Close your scheduled for Tuesday
- 19:55and Wednesday of this week, right there.
- 19:59Secondary date, Tuesday and Wednesday.
- 20:01So we have tfrs for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
- 20:05We have road closures for Tuesday and Wednesday, but TFR
- 20:11And road closures, don't mean, the FAA has grounded license.
- 20:16So we don't know yet, and we're still looking into that, and we
- 20:20will make sure that everybody knows about that.
- 20:22The TFR is the easy part licensing.
- 20:24The safety of a developmental rocket Isn't So straightforward.
- 20:27Exactly Christopher. Exactly.
- 20:31So the other thing is, you know, what kind of weather is going
- 20:34on? What kind of weather is going on
- 20:38in in, you know, Cameron County Boca Chica SpaceX site.
- 20:43It's going to its looks okay for the next couple days here.
- 20:47Winds might be a little bit High here and there.
- 20:49But other than that, everything looks.
- 20:50Alright. So as of right now, if we get
- 20:56FAA approval, then these two beautiful Starships.
- 21:04We'll be launching hopefully sometime this week.
- 21:08I have it scheduled on our stream for tomorrow just in
- 21:11case. So make sure to check that out
- 21:13too. Because we're going to do live
- 21:15coverage of the Starship throughout the day because those
- 21:21FAA license is might come in, so you never know.
- 21:26Yeah, so you never know. SN 9 SN 1000 by the way.
- 21:31S N9 s attend right next to each other.
- 21:33Did you notice that it's you. Notice two giant Rockets right
- 21:37next to each other also, by the way, s n 10.
- 21:43I sent em was put on its Mount. I'm going to show you guys that
- 21:46because it's really, really sweet, looking some workers.
- 21:51And I found this picture. This is from Kyle underscore M
- 21:57underscore photo. It's a way over there on the
- 21:59bottom left. You can't see it.
- 22:02But as you can see, these are built by people are you?
- 22:05And these are the people that will blast us into the next next
- 22:12phase of human spaceflight. And you know, exploration of the
- 22:18cosmos. These are people that are doing
- 22:20the hard work and you can see how big this thing is like look
- 22:23at how big that is compared to that little man squat down
- 22:27there. There was a team of people under
- 22:29there. I counted about a dozen people.
- 22:32Underneath there, when they were putting it on the mount and just
- 22:35like running around doing their thing, attaching this thing to
- 22:38the Mount. And as you can see there's a
- 22:40little bit of heat shielding going on right around here.
- 22:45And that's not the only heat shield extreme heat, shielding
- 22:47up higher to. So we're going to be testing
- 22:49some heat shielding on SM 10. And sn9 will hopefully launched
- 22:55this week and they can test some more stuff.
- 22:57So that would be amazing if that actually happened this week and
- 23:02we'll make sure, you know, of course, I'll be here to tell you
- 23:05guys, you know what's going on with the latest stuff and you
- 23:07can always follow on Twitter at space news pot.
- 23:09I tweet almost all day long. You know, it's like a second job
- 23:15over there but I want to I want to show you guys this video from
- 23:19SpaceX to because s n SN 8. S N9, s flight profile will be
- 23:24similar to sa. I'm going to show you guys this
- 23:27because if you haven't seen this yet, this is on SpaceX Channel,
- 23:29Starship sn8 high altitude flight recap, and it'll be
- 23:35similar to you'll see something similar to this during the sm9
- 23:40flight. Look at that beautiful thing.
- 23:45Look at that beautiful thing. First, engine cutoff we're
- 23:48waiting, we're waiting to see this again.
- 23:50Second engine cutoff. And of course we're gonna have a
- 23:52different Landing, hopefully this time.
- 23:55Hopefully, we'll get a different Landing that's sna, but we'll
- 23:59see, we'll see locks release right there.
- 24:03Look at all that. Look at that plume, and then
- 24:07third engine cutoff, and then we start the belly flop.
- 24:10This is the best part. This is so weird.
- 24:13Like, I'm just gonna say this. It's a rocket.
- 24:17It's a rocket like these Rockets aren't supposed to do this, the
- 24:21belly flop, they're not supposed to do like.
- 24:23That's, that's what you think about.
- 24:25When you're like, what do you see a rocket?
- 24:27It's not supposed to do this, but then it flops down and its
- 24:30belly. And when this happened last
- 24:32time, I didn't know what to do. I was freaking out the first
- 24:35time I was freaking out. You can see those Alana roll-ons
- 24:41doing their work making sure that everything is stable on the
- 24:45way back down and it'll will relight.
- 24:48It's boosters before it tries to land.
- 24:51There we go. We have to flip the pendulum
- 24:53maneuver and then straight down to the pad there.
- 24:59Look at that couple engines light up. and then, Look at
- 25:05that, beautiful shot. How did they get that?
- 25:09That's so cool. I'm not this one but the one
- 25:11from underneath that was so cool.
- 25:16And then Kaboom, and then we got, you know, we got the City
- 25:20explosion and that's not good. But hopefully we get an sn9
- 25:26Landing. That's the key, right?
- 25:29Just to get the sm9 landing. Let's see, I think tomorrow.
- 25:36What do you think for the launch?
- 25:44Woo. Oh well, it's no earlier than
- 25:49tomorrow. I I want I would love to see you
- 25:52tomorrow. Yeah, with the camera Bob.
- 25:58Yeah. I know.
- 25:59I know. It's called technology.
- 26:00Right. Nice.
- 26:03Let me think about this for a sec.
- 26:04I think. I think they're red.
- 26:05Like they're ready. They just need the FAA.
- 26:08Like we need to know if the FAA approved.
- 26:12But it's like man. It's so quick between sat and
- 26:16sm9 like we want to see this all the time.
- 26:18It was like when Falcon was just starting out we were like what
- 26:23is this? You know it's like what is this
- 26:27thing? This is crazy.
- 26:29This is new. This is awesome.
- 26:33And now we're the same way with SMA Sni 9sm 10 we're like what
- 26:38is this? This is new.
- 26:40This is all crazy. We want to see as soon as
- 26:43possible but it's like They're going pretty fast.
- 26:47So like a day or two to make sure that people are safe.
- 26:50It's okay. So I to that was the longest
- 26:53answer ever for I hope. Yes, I hope tomorrow.
- 26:56I hope tomorrow, my-my guesstimation will be Probably
- 27:03Wednesday, probably Wednesday, if they have the FAA approvals
- 27:08then. Yes, then yes.
- 27:10Go for it tomorrow. So everybody by the way, tune in
- 27:14tomorrow, because we're going to have live launch coverage of the
- 27:18sm9 from beginning to end from all day every day.
- 27:24S N9, launch coverage and we have a, we have a live stream
- 27:27started. So, I'm going to link you guys
- 27:31that in one second. I have to find the link to it.
- 27:34It's give me one second. Even also just subscribe and get
- 27:37notifications to our Channel. That's the easiest way to do it.
- 27:41Get notifications for the channel and you know will make
- 27:45sure that you know when we go live for the sn9 launch and here
- 27:48is a link to the sn9 launch so make sure to go over there.
- 27:54Make sure to give it a thumbs up please and also give this video
- 27:57a thumbs up. He's a really helps the
- 27:59algorithm that's an IDE lands. Do you think they'll try to
- 28:04relaunch sa9 improve to SN 10 first?
- 28:09That's a good one Davis. I think they'll just move on to
- 28:14SM 10. Yeah, I think we let's move on
- 28:17to SM 10. All right, thanks for that that
- 28:22link man. Yeah, I think I think essendine
- 28:27will be retired because they want to move forward.
- 28:30You know, I guess I'm not sure they can test some more stuff
- 28:33with it but why not move forward with the latest technology you
- 28:37know, s intends already on the mount.
- 28:38So they have to do, static fires, all the stuff wet dress,
- 28:41rehearsals all that stuff, if to get that approved and FAA
- 28:45certification TFR is road closures, all that stuff again.
- 28:48So we're going to be going down this road through the end of
- 28:51this year. Until until SpaceX Mega orbital
- 28:57with HSN, whatever it is at that point the Starship and
- 29:04super-heavy booster. So chat, let me know.
- 29:08Do you think SpaceX is going to get Starship orbital by the end
- 29:12of this year? Because I know Gwen Shotwell the
- 29:14CEO of SpaceX said, yes. They're going to get orbital by
- 29:19the end of this year. And I'm assuming let me know in
- 29:26chat. Do y inch at the letter Y and
- 29:29chat. If you think they're going to
- 29:31get orbital by the end of this year, to that and Gwynne.
- 29:36Shotwell said, yes. They're going to make it to
- 29:37orbit by the end of this year, if all goes well, and that would
- 29:43be insane. Yeah, that would be insane.
- 29:50All right, we got a bunch of wise.
- 29:52We got one end. Who's that?
- 29:54Insanity. Got an N.
- 29:56We got a bunch of wise if he says yes, I don't know.
- 29:59Maybe you kind of like it maybe but yeah, I hope so but maybe
- 30:06Are we a no-go today? Charles we are a no-go for
- 30:08today. Possibly ETA tomorrow.
- 30:10Flight mid. 20, 22 is a feasible day for orbit.
- 30:18Wallace assassin. Really.
- 30:21Feasible. Mid 2022.
- 30:23So All right, there we go. If they stop delaying the Hops.
- 30:28Yeah, that that's going to be a thing to, I think once they get
- 30:30these initial FAA things out of the way, You know, they get the
- 30:35new rules in place and they get, you know, all the, all the new
- 30:38stuff in place, I think they will make it orbit by the end of
- 30:41this year. I really, really think they
- 30:43will. They have been at, like a crazy
- 30:46Pace like a rocket Record production doesn't do this, like
- 30:52nobody does this so SpaceX. Is it a really?
- 30:57They're doing a really great thing here.
- 31:00And now that you know sn8 flew sm9 will hopefully fly and land
- 31:07SN through 25, you know, through 15 will probably do really well.
- 31:13I'm assuming I'm assuming I hope sn9 Lance.
- 31:16I want to land so bad and I think they figured it out.
- 31:19So I'm going to say sm9 will land.
- 31:22That's my I have a 90% chance, it sm9 will land And I think
- 31:29they I think they'll be okay, but from there once they get up
- 31:35to SN 15, things are going to change a little bit, so they're
- 31:38going to have to do some like similar things, but it's going
- 31:41to be a little bit different by then.
- 31:46Will the FAA rocket licensing? Become more like it's aircraft
- 31:49division with Starship? I think they, I think it'll
- 31:51become more like, yeah, I think it'll be more routine, you know?
- 31:56Like, I think it's going to be way more routine.
- 31:59Than we think it's going to be you know like these kind of
- 32:02think this is literally happening happening in a parking
- 32:07lot, like a dirty parking lot on the border of Mexico right by
- 32:12the Rio Grande. It's just like some Shipyard
- 32:15basically. And they're like, the rapid
- 32:20development from SpaceX is insane.
- 32:23So getting getting us to orbit by the end of this year.
- 32:27I don't see a problem with that, I think they're going to do it,
- 32:30I really do everything. They have learned from previous
- 32:33test goes into the next iteration, that means each
- 32:35launch will happen sooner than less.
- 32:37Yeah. And he'll and each launch will
- 32:38be more successful than the last, right?
- 32:42They'll learn. They learn from their failures,
- 32:44you know? And it's not a failure.
- 32:45It's a learning experience. So they go from, you know, this
- 32:52sn5. It's just a tube like in sn5
- 32:55tube. There's nothing here.
- 32:57It's just a tube. No top, just a counterweight up
- 32:59there to something that looks like this SN 8.
- 33:03So this is SN 5 right here models by bohemes.
- 33:07Oh, by the way, after make a link to those guys.
- 33:11So sn5 looks like this as City looks like, This is 3D models
- 33:19different. Right.
- 33:22That's what that's the difference, 3.
- 33:25Serial numbers different right there.
- 33:31So, that's not that like that was quick.
- 33:35And the next thing you know and it used to look like you know a
- 33:38little tin can little Hopper that eventually we have you know
- 33:42Starship Moon. Of course, we have Starship.
- 33:49Mars Starship by the way, patreon patrons, get a quick
- 33:54look and early. Look at some of our Starship
- 33:58level to renderings. So make sure to become either a
- 34:03member of this Channel on YouTube or become a member on
- 34:06patreon. Because we are.
- 34:11Working really hard to get the latest version of our Starship.
- 34:19Mars vehicle rendered and out there for you guys.
- 34:23It's pretty cool. Pretty cool.
- 34:26Will do you like Burton Jack's? Yes, I love Burton.
- 34:28Great company. Great, people.
- 34:30Been there a bunch of times been to their been in their Factory.
- 34:32I know some people that work there.
- 34:34Good, good people. yeah so I do I love Burton good just a good
- 34:42all-around wholesome people So yeah, so thanks guys for hanging
- 34:51out today. Thanks for all the thumbs up and
- 34:53stuff. I had a really bad technical
- 34:54issue, like, literally a minute before we got on here, my cable,
- 34:59from my camera, didn't work at all, it didn't work at all.
- 35:05So I was like, uh-oh like what's going on?
- 35:09And I had to fix it. I had to find what I had to like
- 35:12dig through headed. Dig through all my stuff like
- 35:16all my other boxes. And I found it.
- 35:22So we're all good. I found like this extra, what it
- 35:25was like in the very like, the very, very bottom of a
- 35:28Rubbermaid tub. I bought four more cables today
- 35:31though, it's a backup. I bought them.
- 35:33I was like, oh, I can't have this happen again.
- 35:35So I bought for more. I bought, it's like bottom on
- 35:38Amazon. They're going to be here
- 35:39Wednesday. So, those are things that happen
- 35:43during live shows. And like this, like, this
- 35:44doesn't even work this thing broke today.
- 35:46I got to figure out a different way.
- 35:48A better way to do this. This because yeah, it's not
- 35:52working. Yeah.
- 35:58Yeah, that's not working. That's not working.
- 36:01Oh well, you know what? What do you got to do?
- 36:03You know you can't do anything about it?
- 36:05It just happens. Now, hearing the FAA could
- 36:08approve. The SpaceX modification to its
- 36:10license for asinine as early as today possibly within the next
- 36:12couple of hours can see Starship fly.
- 36:14As soon as tomorrow Christian Davenport on Twitter.
- 36:16Thanks Neil. That is amazing.
- 36:21Yeah, so hopefully we get a launch tomorrow, please.
- 36:23Please SpaceX. Give us a launch.
- 36:26It would be amazing. I'm getting stoked.
- 36:27I'm getting stoked, by the way. We have a Discord.
- 36:29If you want to get excited about, SpaceX Starship, human
- 36:36spaceflight, all that stuff rocketry, all that stuff, make
- 36:40sure to join our Discord because we have a great community of
- 36:44awesome people that are really supportive of each other and
- 36:48really supportive and cool that are all about human spaceflight
- 36:53and rocketry. And just you know, everything
- 36:56that happens up there in space. That's what we want to support
- 37:01in our Channel. So make sure to join up on
- 37:05Discord where you can talk about this stuff 24/7.
- 37:08And, you know, you can get the latest updates and also we might
- 37:11be, might just release some stuff for my next video.
- 37:13I'm not sure. Let's just see.
- 37:17So we'll see what happens. Would like to get some of those
- 37:22models Bob. Okay, let me get the link for
- 37:24you. Because I have to make sure that
- 37:28that's a command as well. Here you go, there you go.
- 37:34Oh nice Mellie. You beat me to it, you beat me
- 37:38to it. I'm gonna make a command for
- 37:40that too. So if you, let's see, let's make
- 37:44one right now. Let's do models and then we'll
- 37:48do that. There we go.
- 37:55Yeah, do exclamation point models.
- 37:59In chat. Somebody and only one person
- 38:01will be able to do it. There we go.
- 38:05It works. Neil everybody.
- 38:08Everybody should be able to do that now.
- 38:09So if you have a question about the models that has a ten out to
- 38:12that now, has a comp time done. Oh, no way.
- 38:15It used to have a Time calm down of like 60 seconds but I guess
- 38:19not, that was quick. So anyway, go to that link
- 38:22there. In those people are really
- 38:23amazing, do him, so people really awesome.

- 40:10maybe a week and a half ago or something.
