Latest / The Uncensored Catholic / Episode 2: Being a humble servant while boldly standing for the truth
Transcript
- 0:01Hey, y'all, welcome to today's show. This is the second podcast of
- 0:06The Uncensored Catholic, and I'm still in the kind of introductory phase. I
- 0:12think it's very important that we sort of lay down our guideposts. We talk
- 0:16about our founding principles, so you know where I'm coming from, and everything
- 0:22else just falls into place. You know, I don't believe in coincidence.
- 0:27I actually really do believe everything happens for a reason. And last week when
- 0:32I wrote the gospel reflection for Mizzi O Day, it was last Thursday.
- 0:38In fact, I had not even thought of doing this podcast. In fact,
- 0:42this podcast was not my idea. I was actually working hard on other
- 0:46projects. And my mother says to me, you know, you really ought
- 0:49to do a Catholic podcast. And I was like, I am too busy.
- 0:53I've got I'm writing two books at this point, I'm finishing up publishing
- 0:56on them, doing all my other work. And she said, no,
- 1:00you really need to do a Catholic podcast. So I prayed about my slept
- 1:03on it, and by the next day I agreed. And isn't it interesting
- 1:08that just a few days earlier just made four or five days earlier I had
- 1:15written an article, and I pulled a little excerpt from two of the Daily
- 1:22Master readings. The first one was from Acts thirteen, and it states John
- 1:26heralded his coming by proclaiming a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
- 1:30And as John was completing his course, he would say, what do
- 1:34you suppose that I am? I am not he behold, one is coming
- 1:38after me, and I am not worthy to unfasten the sandals of his feet.
- 1:42The same message was reflected in the Gospel for the Day, which comes
- 1:46from John thirteen. When Jesus had washed the feet of his disciples, he
- 1:51said to them, Amen, Amen, I say to you, no slave
- 1:53is greater than his master, nor any messenger greater than the one who sent
- 1:57him. If you understand this, said, are you? If you do
- 2:00it? And it hit me what a stark contrast those two short little verses,
- 2:07passages I guess are too modern culture. You know, in our modern
- 2:13culture we are taught well the opposite of being a servant. We're taught self
- 2:19actualization is the most important. When I was a child, I remember the
- 2:24big movement, and it was taught in the classrooms, and it was in
- 2:28all the after school specials, and it was a theme and many of the
- 2:31sitcoms of the day and the talk shows. I mean, you know,
- 2:36Donna Hue and all that garbage. Haralda. He probably even worse than Donna
- 2:40Hue. It was that all the ills of society, especially among young people,
- 2:46were caused by lack of self esteem. They blamed teen suicide, suicide
- 2:53in general, obviously, teen pregnancy, drug use, crime, etc.
- 2:59On lack of self esteem. And there was a really big pushback then to
- 3:04bring in more school counselors and more psychological care. And of course, you
- 3:08know that was a reflection the I'm okay, You're okay mindset of the nineteen
- 3:14seventies and eighties. Who was a doctor, Dwayne Dyer. I believe he
- 3:17wrote the book I'm Okay, You're Okay. And you know what it really
- 3:22comes down to, nothing's wrong with you because nothing's wrong. There's no right
- 3:28or wrong. All morals if there are any or subjective what you believe is
- 3:32what's important. If he feels good, do it. The individual's actualization was
- 3:38the most important thing. Now, this was very much a part of the
- 3:45feminist and gay movement of the seventies and eighties. It was taking away the
- 3:52idea of what you are doing is wrong. What you feel is what matters.
- 3:58If it makes you happy, do it well? You know what did
- 4:01that bring? What did it bring? Well? Now suicide rates are at
- 4:09an all time high. Teen suicide rates are through the roof. They say
- 4:14TikTok has a lot to do with that, that the TikTok app may actually
- 4:17be encouraging suicide. I think all the psychological medications these kids are being put
- 4:25on. I mean, you got ADHD meds from an early age than it's
- 4:29meds for anxiety and depression, antipsychotics, etc. Etc. Etc. May
- 4:34have a lot to do with Social media is definitely probably the bigger problem.
- 4:39Well maybe not the bigger problem, but social media is a huge problem.
- 4:43We got a lot of our veterans committing suicide. We got, you know,
- 4:46especially during the COVID lockdowns. A lot of people got depressed, and
- 4:50a lot of people got hopeless, and a lot of people committed suicide.
- 4:55The social structures were no longer in place and are no longer in place that
- 5:00were there just a few decades ago. Illegitimacy is at all time high actually
- 5:04because of the legacies at all time high. Divorce rates have actually fallen a
- 5:09little bit because people don't even bother to get married in the first place.
- 5:12But most kids are now raised without an intact family, Fewer brothers and sisters,
- 5:19fewer siblings, little contact with extended family. A lot of kids barely
- 5:24know their grandparents, certainly not their aunts and uncles and cousins. Communities are
- 5:29broken up. People are scattered all over the country, and hardly anybody's going
- 5:32to church anymore. The institutions that made people not feel alone, the institutions
- 5:39that gave people a structure, have been almost entirely destroyed since about nineteen seventy.
- 5:46It's really even getting worse than that. I mean, last year,
- 5:50over one hundred thousand people United States overdosed and died from ventinyl alone. And
- 5:56it's probably gonna be more now because the Biden administration is opened the borders China.
- 6:00It wants to destroy America and is pouring sentinel across the border through our
- 6:04Mexican border, and the drug car tails are getting wealthy off of it,
- 6:10and the Biden administration and yes, Catholic charities seems to be aiding the car
- 6:15tails and human trafficking and drug trafficking. The homelessness is rampant. The violent
- 6:23crime in most cities is worse than ever. It got really bad. In
- 6:28the nineteen seventies, things kind of turned around. You know, we had
- 6:31a President Reagan in there, and we had Pope John Paul the Second,
- 6:35and we had some really good evangelical leaders, doctor Jerry Folwell, doctor Charles
- 6:43Stanley, Billy Graham. I mean there was actually Pat Robertson, you know.
- 6:48There there's actually a movement of let's bring America back to morals in God
- 6:55in the nineteen eighties. Well, by the nineteen nineties with the Clinton administration,
- 6:59that was out the window, that was gone. Anybody remember when Mother
- 7:02Teresa got right in Bill Clinton's face and challenged him over his stance on abortion.
- 7:08Have you noticed very few and none of our public Catholic leaders have had
- 7:13the guts to do that with Joe Biden. Yeah, the priest down in
- 7:18Florence, South Carolina. What a brave man who denied him communion? What
- 7:25his archbishop or bishop of Kansas City, he called him out publicly. Pope
- 7:30John Paul the Second would have done that. Pope Benedict would have done that
- 7:36Pope Francis, No, No, Pope Francis has tacitly endorsed just about the
- 7:45worst elements of the Biden administration for reasons I cannot understand, because actually,
- 7:51when he was, you know, a priest and a bishop and such,
- 7:56he was adamantly opposed to abortion. He has least spoken out on some of
- 8:01the issues towards transgenderism, the transgender movement. Maybe he just doesn't have the
- 8:09ability to issue a clear statement to the faithful, but he has really sown
- 8:16a lot of confusion in the Church, in my opinion, and I don't
- 8:20really understand why. Maybe you do. If you do, maybe you can
- 8:22inform me on it. But I think he seems to be a very kind,
- 8:28nice man. But his animosity towards traditional Catholics in the Latin Mass and
- 8:37traditional Christian conservative values in large part is very very troubling to me, very
- 8:43very troubling. Well, actually, things have gotten so bad in America right
- 8:48now that our life's expectancy has begun to drop for the first time in American
- 8:54history. I mean, it had been at least since the Industrial Revolution.
- 8:58Each generation was living a little bit longer than their ancestors. Now it's going
- 9:03in the other direction, and you can you know, some of that has
- 9:05to do a COVID, but then COVID really hit the elderly worse than it
- 9:09did the young. Right, some of it may have to do with the
- 9:11COVID vaccine, which seems like it's going to kill as many people as COVID,
- 9:16if not more. All I know is, before all this self esteem
- 9:22and self actualization, we didn't have a lot of school shootings. Now it's
- 9:26a frequent it's almost commonplace. These kids, I don't think any one of
- 9:31them has ever been in a two parent home. I don't think any one
- 9:35of them has done it, has ever been a church coer. They all
- 9:37seem to have been on AHD, add meds, atidepressed and sa andy,
- 9:41psychoics, and who knows what illegal drugs they were on, Obsessed with violent
- 9:46video games, obsessed with comic books and such. Completely isolated, cut off.
- 9:52Yeah, usually bullied because they didn't fit in. But you know,
- 9:58instead of a school counsel or someone trying to help them fit in, help
- 10:05them become more normalized, they're actually encouraged to be more isolated through this self
- 10:11actualization society. And then they go and just shoot up at school and kill
- 10:16a bunch of kids. And of course we blame the guns and not the
- 10:18kid, or better yet, the parents, because it's up to the parent
- 10:22to raise the kid. It does not take a village to raise a child.
- 10:26It takes two parents to raise a child, and in the absence of
- 10:30one of those parents, it takes one extremely good parent. I am a
- 10:35product of a single parent household. My dad was not involved in my life,
- 10:39and I was blessed am steward this day, blessed to have a very
- 10:43good mother. Every child needs at least one good parent, or one good
- 10:50grandparent, or one good aunt or uncle who actually take a legitimate interest,
- 10:56a legitimate loving interest to care for that child. Struck them in what is
- 11:01right? You know, Don't let them, don't let them play the violent
- 11:05video games, don't let them watch the dark movies. Don't let them have
- 11:09a bunch of guns and illegal drugs. I mean, what's up with that?
- 11:13If your kids on drugs, don't let them have a gun. I
- 11:16mean I am all four firearms. I mean I love to shoot. I
- 11:18mean I have a woodsman. I'm an outdoorsman. You know, if I
- 11:24had a kid who was psycho. I wouldn't give them a gun, But
- 11:26you know, that just seems like common sense to me. Maybe it's over
- 11:30the head of most people these days, but that perhaps most indicative of this
- 11:37trend was a poll that came out a couple of weeks ago showing that about
- 11:43twenty five percent about a quarter of all high school students believe themselves now to
- 11:46be either gay, transgendered, or something else so called non binary. Apparently
- 11:52they can't look between their legs and figure out what sex they are, go
- 11:54figure This was unheard of just a few years ago. This is literally a
- 12:01trend that just has happened in the past couple of years. This is basically
- 12:05a mass psychosis, is what it is. I mean, for the whole
- 12:09of human history, homosexuals have been less than five percent of the population,
- 12:13and most people would estimate less than two percent of the population. And there
- 12:20has been no such thing as transgender. Yeah, you've had people like cross
- 12:22dress and whatever, which was considered a mental disorder until yes, just a
- 12:28few years ago, and now it's normative. Now it's if you feel that
- 12:33way, And kids are being encouraged by teachers and school counselors and psychologists to
- 12:37do it. And at the root of it, I think is what I
- 12:41call the medical industrial complex that are going to make a fortune off these sex
- 12:46change operations and all the hormones and all the treatments and all the psychological counseling
- 12:50that those kids would need for the rest of their lives. For the rest
- 12:54of their lives, each one of these sex changes, which is usually taxpayer
- 12:58funded, is going to make the mental industry millions of dollars at least hundreds
- 13:05of thousands, probably millions of dollars over the lifetime of the child, depending
- 13:07on how long they live. And now twenty five. Look, if that
- 13:11keeps this way, our country is imploding. We will not have a birth
- 13:18rate that can sustain a country. We will not have people to serve in
- 13:20the military, we will not have people to work the jobs that our economy
- 13:24will fall. Everything will crash, and our churches will be abandoned. There'll
- 13:28be no one in them. So you know, it comes down to we
- 13:31now live in a world where there's no judgment, there no rules, there
- 13:35no morals, and there's no normal. The only people condemned are those who
- 13:39try to hold faster traditional Christian morals and doctrine. Individuality and self actualization or
- 13:46what they call living by one's own truth has become the norm, and you're
- 13:50supposed to celebrate it. You're never supposed to say anything wrong about it,
- 13:52right, you know? Is there any coincidence that just again, about two
- 13:56weeks ago, Satanists held a convention in Boston, the open ceremony, including
- 14:01the shredding of a Bible. And now there are Satanic clubs showing up in
- 14:07elementary schools across the country, even in my own state of North Carolina,
- 14:11in what they used to call the Bible Belt Protestant South, they're now Satanist
- 14:16clubs in elementary and middle schools. They won't let there be Bible studies,
- 14:20they won't let there be prayer at a classroom, but they're Satanist clubs.
- 14:24Now there are after school Christian groups and some people say, well, the
- 14:28Satanists are just trying to drive them out by threatening. Well, but no,
- 14:31there are actually Satanist clubs. And the thing is about Satanists, they
- 14:35generally claim that they don't worship Satan, they worship themselves. You have to
- 14:41remember that the devil was cast out of heaven because he rebelled against God.
- 14:46He wanted to set himself up as his own God. The devil worships himself.
- 14:50Satanists worshiped themselves. The entire self esteem, self actualization movement that began
- 14:58in the nineteen seventies has earn Americans and especially the youngest in our society,
- 15:03into those who worship themselves and the culture that like people like them have created,
- 15:09which is getting more deviant and more violent and more dangerous and disgusting by
- 15:13the day. You know, you should would think, you would think the
- 15:18churches would stand against us, You really would. But what you see in
- 15:22most mainline Protestant churches is the prosperity doctrine. You know, perhaps not unsurprisingly,
- 15:30people don't really want to hear or that Jesus said that those who followed
- 15:33him would suffer. We have to take up our cross and follow him.
- 15:37We have to serve. We will be rejected, we will be hated.
- 15:43They want to hear that God wants them to be rich and happy. All
- 15:46right. You know, I'd be really easy to blame this on the Protestants,
- 15:50right, but far too many Catholics, far too many Catholics are equivating,
- 15:54equivocating on social issues, saying God wants you to be happy. Mind
- 16:00that you know, all sin and selfishness carries with it the promise of temporary
- 16:04happiness or pleasure. It's if you feel good, if it feels good to
- 16:08do it, if you want it, have it. You can lie,
- 16:11you can cheat, still sleep around, have extramarital affairs, be gay,
- 16:15be other, be proud, always be proud, Be proud. Who's the
- 16:19proudest entity in the universe. It's the devil. Christians are supposed to be
- 16:26humble. I mean, guess God gives us talents and we should feel a
- 16:32certain self worth in those talents, a certain pride. But we know they
- 16:36don't come from us. They're given to us by God. We cultivate what
- 16:41is given to us. This pride is not only unhealthy, but of course
- 16:45you know, Catholic doctrine teaches that pride is a sin. Pride is really
- 16:49like the original sin before the Garden of Eden. Original sin. Pride and
- 16:55envy are so interrelated that they are essentially the root of all evil. So
- 17:03obviously, things going on this way, it's gonna it could lead to the
- 17:07end of Christianity, at least, you know. Mainline Christianity. I don't
- 17:11even think America has a Christian culture anymore. You know, I'm not,
- 17:15like I said, this is not a chicken. Little sky is falling.
- 17:18We know how the story ends. Those who endure to the end will be
- 17:21saved. But this humanist mindset is plunging in this world into chaos. And
- 17:30unfortunately, many, if not most Christians of all denominations, Catholic, Protestant,
- 17:36and any you know related. I mean, like I don't know,
- 17:40Jehovah's witnesses don't believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior. They don't believe that
- 17:45Jesus is God. But we can we consider them, we consider them part
- 17:48of Christian culture at least. Even Mormons are starting to cheer this stuff on
- 17:56it. I mean, if there's a Pride parade, you better believe the
- 18:00Christians are going to run out there and lead it. And uh yeah,
- 18:03a lot of are gonna be a Catholic like Nancy Pelosi and and and U
- 18:07Joe Biden, and you know, as unfortunates that is. I mean,
- 18:14we really are taught a very false dichotomy in this country. We're taught that,
- 18:21you know, all Republicans are conservative all all liberals or democrat. Uh
- 18:26well, you know, i'man to say, well, actually, there are
- 18:30very There are no essentially conservative democrats. Left liberalism is essentially a mental disorder,
- 18:36and a liberal is a liberal first. Okay, we'll get into that
- 18:40another day. That's a big topic. There are, actually, though,
- 18:42a lot of liberal Republicans. I mean, look, the Bushes were not
- 18:51conservative on these social issues, okay, and on a lot of other stuff.
- 18:55I mean they spent like drunken sailors, except drunken sailors at least spend
- 18:57their own money. When I was involved in politics in college and I was
- 19:03communicating with some of the bigger names, you would be surprised some of the
- 19:08people who tried to discourage me from being active in politics, from writing,
- 19:14from speaking. Do the names cal Thomas and Britt humoring a belle? They
- 19:18actually, each of them told me, in two different ways, we don't
- 19:22want any more Christians in the Republican Party. We don't want anyone whose politics
- 19:29are shaped by their religious values. We have too many already, and they're
- 19:33the problem. You're gonna hear that a lot today, you see. You
- 19:36know, Fox News has totally abandoned the conservative movement and President Trump. They
- 19:41blame the fact that we finally got Roe v. Wade overturned. It took
- 19:45lifetimes to get it done, or they're blaming that as the reason we're losing
- 19:49elections. Never mind that the big money liberal Republicans have cut off all the
- 19:55money to the candidates and the candidates are being outspent one hundred to one in
- 19:59most races. Anyway, he just really struck me that in this Gospel reflection
- 20:07for last Thursday, the message of the Bible is toward humility and not pride.
- 20:15I think that's really really important. And you know, over the past
- 20:22decades we have literally normalized the worst sins possible, even the slaughter of innocent
- 20:29babies. And as Catholics, we must humbly serve by holding fast to the
- 20:33truth, standing boldly for the truth. The truth is given to us by
- 20:38God through his Church. That would be easy to say if our culture wasn't
- 20:42opposed to the Church obviously and opposed to the truth in general. But in
- 20:48all honestly, it would really be a lot easier for me and for us
- 20:52all to stand up boldly for the truth. That bold is very different than
- 20:56proud, have courage, and be out spoken, if our priests, bishops
- 21:02and cardinals would stand behind us, and frankly, if so many of our
- 21:07Catholic universities weren't teaching the exact opposite of Catholic doctrine, and really it would
- 21:12help a lot, a lot if Pope Francis would be a little more clear
- 21:18and orthodox and seem to be more on the side of the truth than on
- 21:22the side of the culture. But anyway, that's that's my opinion. But
- 21:29when it comes to how bad is it in terms of Catholics confusing people and
- 21:34teaching and promoting what's absolutely opposed to the Word of God, to Catholic doctrine,
- 21:44to Christian morals and traditions that have been with us for a good two
- 21:48thousand years or so. Have you heard what the Biden administration is doing through
- 21:56USAID. Usaid is where they take our tax dollars and do foreign aid around
- 22:02the world. It's really how America controls and pulls the strings in other countries.
- 22:10It's essentially a well. For many years, it was almost a bribery
- 22:14program to keep make poor countries side with US as opposed to the Soviet Union.
- 22:19Now they're using it to promote radical gender ideology as well as the overt
- 22:29sexualization of children and abortion and birth control. Yeah, that's what our Catholic
- 22:34president is doing. Our senile, demanded, desiccated, completely despicable, so
- 22:47called Catholic president. When he's not sniffing children and making millions off of backdoor
- 22:53deals with the Chinese, he is promoting this the good Catholic his rosary is
- 23:02doing. I learned this from Steve Cortez's daughter, Kingsley Cortes, who does
- 23:06a really great job. I think it was Renewing America project. I mean
- 23:11to get in this a little bit more later. She actually gave a lot
- 23:14of details that I don't have the time to discuss right now, so look
- 23:18forward to that tomorrow. I'll try to work into tomorrow's show. She's done
- 23:22some analysis of this ua USA us AID project, and it seems that the
- 23:30Biden administration is going out to African, Middle Eastern South American countries, countries
- 23:41that either have a very strong Catholic or a Muslim ideology, that don't believe
- 23:48in homosexuality, transgenderism, birth control, and they've actually taken a program that
- 23:57was designed and really funded and promoted by President Trump to stop human trafficking and
- 24:07forced marriages. You know, in some of these countries, little girls are
- 24:11forced to marry older men against their will. And the Trump administration was very
- 24:18opposed to that, you know, as as my mother always say, Trump's
- 24:22no choir boy. But he did what was right. Well. The Biden
- 24:26administration, yes, the Catholic Biden administration is absolutely not doing what is right.
- 24:33They want to promote, in the words of this program, those of
- 24:40lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender queer intersects plus community. That's actually in
- 24:47their the language of this program. Now, they want to educate. They're
- 24:52doing these education programs in the schools. They're targeting the youth just as they
- 24:57are in schools here in America, saying, you know, you may be
- 25:00of a different section way it appears to be, and we're going to support
- 25:04you in that, and we're going to put in a lot of money so
- 25:07you can self actualization. They also are promoting abortion and artificial birth control.
- 25:19They are trying to turn more traditional cultures into being just as degraded and perverse
- 25:30as America has become. And they're not just spending a little money on this.
- 25:36As we are facing the so called debt ceiling, and we are trillions
- 25:41of dollars in debt. They are pouring billions of dollars into these programs throughout
- 25:48the world. You have to wonder why we'd never seem to learn the list
- 25:53lessons of history, do we? I mean, we went through Hitler and
- 25:56eugenics. This is the anniversary of victory in Europe in World War Two when
- 26:03the Nazis were defeated. And here we are following leaders that are embracing policies
- 26:11that will essentially establish the same goals eradicate religion, reduce the population, embrace
- 26:18socialism. And that, my friends, is our Catholic president. And where's
- 26:29the popemon that have we heard a message from the Vatican about this? Why
- 26:33not have we heard the US Council of Catholic Bishops come out and speak boldly
- 26:41against the transgender movement and against spreading the so called family planning and reproductive health
- 26:48services throughout the world. We need some good, faithful, humble servants to
- 26:55speak boldly about the things that really matter. All right, y'all, have
- 27:02a good day, keep your head up and in the words of Saint Pio,
- 27:08pray, hope and don't worry. And I'll talk to you tomorrow
