- 0:13Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:17Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. Today is Friday, September twentieth,
- 0:24Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. I'm Daniel Mally, joined by Trey Trenholm,
- 0:29Speaker 1: Raj Sharma and our very own Jerry Caldwell, and today
- 0:35Speaker 1: is not a normal Friday. In addition to us doing
- 0:41Speaker 1: celebrity birthdays inside the treehouse today, we also have a
- 0:46Speaker 1: treehouse birthday to celebrate. Because today is, as I said,
- 0:52Speaker 1: Friday September twentieth, twenty twenty four, it is also Jerry
- 0:58Speaker 1: Caldwell's birthday. Time. He couldn't have been better to reappear
- 1:03Speaker 1: into the treehouse like a rabid groundhog wearing a purple
- 1:08Speaker 1: Hawaiian shirt and a soul patch on your chin. God
- 1:12Speaker 1: bless you, Jerry. Happy birthday, my friend, Thank you, thank you.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It's a big one. It is a big one, and
- 1:21Speaker 1: it's the birthday joke. There would be also the birthday
- 1:24Speaker 1: is a big one. Congratulations on both of those fronts.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Welcome to the club.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Thank you. The birthday or the big one club were both.
- 1:36Speaker 2: A boy, good answer.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Yes, I am now a freshman elder.
- 1:44Speaker 3: What does that?
- 1:45Speaker 4: What does that mean?
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm a new old guy. Oh got it, that makes sense.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I thought that was some sort of new magic the
- 1:50Speaker 1: gathering game I hadn't heard of yet. Welcome we are.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I try not to lean in too much all of
- 2:00Speaker 1: our ages, because if I did, I don't want everyone
- 2:06Speaker 1: thinking that we're all old. But also if I did,
- 2:09Speaker 1: I'd make the three of you feel bad since I'm
- 2:10Speaker 1: the baby.
- 2:11Speaker 2: But not by much. But happy birthday to you, Jerry.
- 2:15Speaker 1: We're very excited to have you and excited to celebrate
- 2:18Speaker 1: your birthday here inside the Treehouse. You're right, it is
- 2:21Speaker 1: a big one your birthday. I don't know about the
- 2:23Speaker 1: other thing, and I'm not going to verify it, but
- 2:25Speaker 1: all those just say the reason why. There's a reason
- 2:28Speaker 1: why we call it the treehouse, not a twig house.
- 2:32Speaker 1: That's right.
- 2:34Speaker 2: That's because Raj is big enough for all of us.
- 2:38Speaker 1: There is something that Jerry has in common with our
- 2:41Speaker 1: first topic today. Jerry is someone that I have referred
- 2:46Speaker 1: to over many years of knowing him as an expert swordsman.
- 2:52Speaker 5: He is.
- 2:52Speaker 1: He is one with the ladies. He's a bit of
- 2:56Speaker 1: a hot stepper, if you.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Will, And.
- 3:00Speaker 1: There is one other hot stepper that we are all
- 3:04Speaker 1: very familiar with Trey, and I have interacted with this
- 3:07Speaker 1: person a few times over the years, although I'm not
- 3:11Speaker 1: sure if Trey if you've met him in person, I
- 3:14Speaker 1: did not. When you think of master Swordsman, you might
- 3:21Speaker 1: think of Wilt Chamberlain. What was his claim as far
- 3:24Speaker 1: as his body count?
- 3:25Speaker 2: What was the ten twenty thousand women?
- 3:28Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 3:28Speaker 1: A woman, Yeah, that's one of the Alzheimer's. Gene Simmons
- 3:32Speaker 1: always bragging about his but again, having seen a video
- 3:37Speaker 1: of one of his conquests, ed, really isn't something to
- 3:39Speaker 1: brag about. There's a reason why he's claiming thousands and
- 3:42Speaker 1: thousands of women, But those thousands of women aren't exactly
- 3:45Speaker 1: going He did me because again from the video I.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Saw, Yeah, it's a tiny fella, not.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Just that, but I mean it was.
- 3:55Speaker 1: It was like the entire act itself that I saw,
- 4:00Speaker 1: from beginning to end, would have loaded in less than
- 4:04Speaker 1: ten minutes on dial up internet in nineteen ninety six.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So anyway, so are you saying Geene didn't party all night?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Not with that lady. She may have afterwards, because she
- 4:24Speaker 1: would have plenty of energy leftover.
- 4:26Speaker 2: I assumed that his idea of.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Partying all night is similar to all of our ideas
- 4:30Speaker 1: of partying all night, which is in bed by ten
- 4:32Speaker 1: o'clock and to sleep by ten fifteen. No, So, Jerry
- 4:38Speaker 1: you are. You are a conquista door of women. I
- 4:41Speaker 1: congratulate you, good on you. But one person who's a
- 4:44Speaker 1: celebrity that might actually eclipse wil Chamberlain is Adam West. Now.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I say that because Adam West and Bert Ward, the
- 4:54Speaker 1: ogs from the Batman TV series of the sixties, have
- 5:00Speaker 1: never bragged about what number of women that they've each
- 5:04Speaker 1: been with, but they've both talked about it in interviews
- 5:07Speaker 1: about how prolific the sex was in the sixties. They
- 5:13Speaker 1: were talking about at times where they'd be having sex
- 5:16Speaker 1: at lunch breaks, they'd be having sex in between takes
- 5:20Speaker 1: of shooting the show and then back into uh pop
- 5:26Speaker 1: bam smack, you know, to the joker and to whoever
- 5:29Speaker 1: else they were scrowing. But they never assigned a number.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And I assume that's because the number is so great
- 5:36Speaker 1: they couldn't come anywhere near keeping track.
- 5:41Speaker 2: And then.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I check out our Patreon, Patreon dot com slash treehouse
- 5:47Speaker 1: on air where Grant, one of our really really good listeners,
- 5:49Speaker 1: longtime listener of the the Treehouse and the Armis sent
- 5:53Speaker 1: me this, and I guess this started going around a
- 5:55Speaker 1: few days ago. And I don't remember this because we
- 5:58Speaker 1: had Adam West on the radio show a number of
- 6:00Speaker 1: times throughout the years. Trey, did you ever meet him
- 6:03Speaker 1: in person?
- 6:04Speaker 2: I was trying to think. I don't think I did.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It's probably for the best because with someone who's had
- 6:10Speaker 1: that much sex, and I'm assuming unprotected sex because it
- 6:14Speaker 1: was the sixties, and why would you back then if
- 6:17Speaker 1: you were to shake his hand, you would really want
- 6:19Speaker 1: him to be wearing the bat glove. So according to
- 6:24Speaker 1: world Star, which is the bastion of credibility for online reporting,
- 6:28Speaker 1: as we all know, Grant sent me this the og Batman.
- 6:34Speaker 1: According to world Star that Adam West allegedly slept with
- 6:38Speaker 1: so many women in Aspen, Colorado, that the city banned
- 6:42Speaker 1: him from returning for fifteen years. Now, I like to
- 6:51Speaker 1: hang on to some thread of credibility and research things,
- 6:55Speaker 1: research claims that are sent to me. So I went
- 6:58Speaker 1: to the place where you research such things, and that
- 7:02Speaker 1: is Snopes. So I went to snopes dot com and
- 7:05Speaker 1: I typed in Adam West Aspen. I got no results.
- 7:13Speaker 1: They don't even have it in the system, so we
- 7:18Speaker 1: have an unconfirmed report and this has been through various
- 7:22Speaker 1: outlets besides World Star, that Adam West slept with so
- 7:27Speaker 1: many women in Aspen, Colorado that the city banned him
- 7:30Speaker 1: for fifteen years. And there's also a little tiny photo
- 7:35Speaker 1: of Bert Ward. I don't know if he was able
- 7:36Speaker 1: to like sneak in or something and report back to
- 7:40Speaker 1: Adam West. I have no idea, but I guess it
- 7:44Speaker 1: makes sense if you think about it, because groupies have
- 7:46Speaker 1: been a thing since the beginning of of you know man, right,
- 7:50Speaker 1: they were drawn on cave walls and things, and whoever
- 7:52Speaker 1: like the head honcho was, he had you know, his
- 7:54Speaker 1: little hairm I'm sure. But when you think back to
- 7:57Speaker 1: the sixties, how many TV channels were there? Maybe a handful, yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 1: three or four Prime and Batman the TV show was
- 8:08Speaker 1: the show, and they did like forty episodes in a season.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That's double what today's standard is, maybe even more. And
- 8:16Speaker 1: they were on multiple times a week because if you
- 8:18Speaker 1: guys remember watching the show, it'd be like a thirty
- 8:20Speaker 1: minute show. But then they'd cliffhanger you and you'd have
- 8:22Speaker 1: to come back, same bad time, same bad channel tomorrow.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Right to watch the conclusion of the exciting episode. Really,
- 8:31Speaker 1: all it was was a break so they could go
- 8:33Speaker 1: have sex and then come back and finish the shoot
- 8:37Speaker 1: that day. But when you are the show on only
- 8:42Speaker 1: three networks, you are extremely popular. You're in front of
- 8:45Speaker 1: everybody's faces. You are probably the most famous people on
- 8:49Speaker 1: the planet. So I can understand how you'd have so
- 8:52Speaker 1: much sex in one particular town that you get banned.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But I still can't verify if it's true, because I've
- 8:58Speaker 1: never heard of a city banning an individual for screwing
- 9:03Speaker 1: the population so much they said get out.
- 9:06Speaker 6: One of my favorite quotes is attributed to Adam West,
- 9:10Speaker 6: which is he was going Supposedly he was going back
- 9:14Speaker 6: to his trailer. He opened the door, and somebody overheard
- 9:17Speaker 6: him say, all right, ladies, stay in line and on
- 9:19Speaker 6: your knees.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Classy.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Here's the thing. It's probably true, but even if it
- 9:31Speaker 1: was made up, the person that witnessed this didn't even
- 9:35Speaker 1: have to question it.
- 9:36Speaker 2: It's not like they stuck their head and to.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Verify they were like, oh, there goes at him again.
- 9:39Speaker 1: He's on break.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Apparently. Also, allegedly, he kept the Batman mask on and
- 9:50Speaker 4: the cape when he would do such things with the ladies.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Well, I'm sure that's what they wanted, and it's also
- 9:58Speaker 1: easier for him to get into out of costume faster
- 10:00Speaker 1: to get back to set once you're done.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Did he call it the bat penis l Did he?
- 10:10Speaker 2: I think that's one of the questions.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I don't remember us asking Adam West when we had
- 10:14Speaker 1: him on the show, and I feel like we missed
- 10:16Speaker 1: an opportunity there.
- 10:17Speaker 6: Yeah, it's also a joke about the bat cave, and
- 10:20Speaker 6: there's somewhere too.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, certainly. I wonder why they chose fifteen years?
- 10:27Speaker 1: Was that?
- 10:28Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what word?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Something specific the offspring to be in high school or
- 10:33Speaker 1: I mean.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Or to become of age.
- 10:36Speaker 1: But that really is a very specific claim. According to
- 10:43Speaker 1: a report, Adam West slept with so many women in Aspen, Colorado,
- 10:47Speaker 1: that he was banned from the town for fifteen years.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Well where did he go?
- 10:55Speaker 1: What do you do when you've been banned from an
- 10:57Speaker 1: entire town for having too much sex?
- 11:01Speaker 2: That's probably where the rest of the butt started.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I say it again, Trey, that's probably where crusted butt started.
- 11:10Speaker 2: It's pronounced crusted, butte not. When Adam West is there cruche,
- 11:19Speaker 2: sir truche.
- 11:31Speaker 7: You're listening to the tree House.
- 11:33Speaker 8: Visit us online that Treehouse on air dot com.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I bet they have a statue erected in his honor.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Without him, none of this would be possible. Oh you
- 11:49Speaker 2: know what.
- 11:51Speaker 1: It may not make you Adam West, but it'll make
- 11:53Speaker 1: you feel really good to find yourself in a brand
- 11:56Speaker 1: new car.
- 11:57Speaker 2: So let's do that.
- 11:58Speaker 1: But let's not do it the old fashioned way getting
- 11:59Speaker 1: a card. Now, let's do it the Treehouse way. And
- 12:02Speaker 1: you do that with Fairleas. And you and I know
- 12:04Speaker 1: that saving money is obviously important, especially when everything costs
- 12:07Speaker 1: more these days, and.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Fairleas knows this.
- 12:10Speaker 1: That's why when you lease from Fairleas, you can actually

- 12:21Speaker 1: amount of miles you travel each year. And Fairleas will
- 12:24Speaker 1: even take your trade in and work with any negative
- 12:26Speaker 1: equity that you might have. Fair LEAs is also going
- 12:29Speaker 1: to save you precious time. What you do is you

- 12:42Speaker 1: or even days at a car dealership wondering what fun
- 12:44Speaker 1: all the other people in the world are having in
- 12:46Speaker 1: Crusted Butte or Aspen because they called fairleas. You can
- 12:51Speaker 1: be one of the fair least fun having people. You
- 12:55Speaker 1: just got to go to fairlease dot org and get

- 13:15Speaker 1: treehouse listeners is fairlease dot org. That's fair lease dot org.

- 13:49Speaker 1: that new vehicle for a treehouse family fairleas dot org.
- 13:56Speaker 1: What was it you were saying this second ago raj about.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Milton Burrel he was on the show as well on
- 14:02Speaker 4: on the.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Original Man in the Sick. I forgot he was on that.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Louis the Lilac And apparently, rumor has it, Uncle Milty
- 14:12Speaker 4: was a was a big guy.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah that yeah, I.
- 14:21Speaker 1: It's it's look, today's theme in the Treehouse is taking
- 14:25Speaker 1: a very interesting turn. But it is weird to be
- 14:30Speaker 1: known for something like that that much because he was
- 14:35Speaker 1: an actor and stuff. Yeah, I mean, the two main
- 14:38Speaker 1: things that people know about Milton Burrow through word of
- 14:41Speaker 1: mouth is the fact that he was huge in the
- 14:46Speaker 1: pants and oh, by the way, he was also a
- 14:48Speaker 1: Hollywood actor.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Yeah, and uh, weird thing. I just read it years
- 14:53Speaker 4: and years and years ago, but I wouldn't wouldn't have
- 14:56Speaker 4: pictured it. But uh so was Larry from Three Stooges apparently.
- 15:03Speaker 4: You know.
- 15:03Speaker 1: That just makes I think nature sometimes has a way
- 15:07Speaker 1: of evening itself out because sometimes the people you wouldn't
- 15:11Speaker 1: expect to be.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Uh you wouldn't expect to be able to for them
- 15:17Speaker 2: to be able.
- 15:17Speaker 1: To carry it around, but then other people that you
- 15:20Speaker 1: would expect may not, because again, nature has a weight
- 15:23Speaker 1: of evening things out, like like if you're so physically gifted,
- 15:27Speaker 1: like you have, you know, naturally three percent body fat,
- 15:30Speaker 1: and you're beautiful like a Brad Pitt or something. Maybe
- 15:32Speaker 1: you're go and that's nature's way of balancing things out.
- 15:35Speaker 1: But a guy that looks like Milton Burle, because Milton
- 15:37Speaker 1: Burle is not a good looking man, but you know
- 15:40Speaker 1: hen good looking horse. But man, I feel sorry for
- 15:44Speaker 1: those group. He's on the set of Batman, like like
- 15:48Speaker 1: like if you're Adam West and you're Burt Ward and
- 15:50Speaker 1: then he'll and then here comes Milton Burrele.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, like there's no way he goes first.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Well, first of all, if you're a Batman, you get
- 16:02Speaker 1: first DIBs before Larry Lilac. But then physically you would
- 16:06Speaker 1: need to go out before Larry the Lilac because you
- 16:09Speaker 1: can't follow Larry the Lilac.
- 16:10Speaker 4: I guess, yeah, it's Louis the Lilac.
- 16:14Speaker 2: But uh oh, sorry, Louis. Sorry.
- 16:16Speaker 1: When you say Louis the I think lightning bug. And
- 16:18Speaker 1: that doesn't make me think it's huge, so longer.
- 16:21Speaker 4: I just think, yeah, I think if I mean, but
- 16:23Speaker 4: what if you walked in like you know, like he
- 16:25Speaker 4: was saying, you know, ladies, you know, stand line and
- 16:27Speaker 4: on your knees and Milton Burl just walks in and
- 16:30Speaker 4: takes his pants down.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I think you'd have to pick them all up off
- 16:33Speaker 1: the floor.
- 16:39Speaker 4: You might be right, just.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Out of shock or because because some women realize that
- 16:45Speaker 1: they can't unhinge their jaws, like they're gonna have to
- 16:47Speaker 1: do just a reality of something. But yeah, those uh,
- 16:56Speaker 1: those poor women.
- 16:58Speaker 9: Yeah, they didn't have Diddy there to give him, you know,
- 17:01Speaker 9: thousands of cases of lube.
- 17:04Speaker 4: And some lotion.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I mean, if we're being honest, when you
- 17:09Speaker 1: hear the charges being thrown at Ditty, there hearing a
- 17:14Speaker 1: federal prosecutor at a press conference talk about talk about
- 17:18Speaker 1: and going to detail freak offs lasting for hours or
- 17:21Speaker 1: days at a time. Yeah, at least the cast of
- 17:25Speaker 1: the original Batman series had consent as far as we know.
- 17:31Speaker 2: They paid for it when Louis the Lilac came through.
- 17:33Speaker 2: But still.
- 17:36Speaker 4: There's a little bit of lotion. We get ashy people
- 17:38Speaker 4: of color, so there was some lotion there as well.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So ashy or assy?
- 17:45Speaker 4: Well did he yes, yes, that'll be.
- 17:48Speaker 1: A little bit of both. Yeah, all right, Today is
- 17:51Speaker 1: Fred Day, September twentieth, twenty twenty four. Jerry's not the
- 17:54Speaker 1: only one celebrating a birthday inside the treehouse. There are
- 17:57Speaker 1: also some other famous people that feel like they need
- 18:00Speaker 1: extra attention. So we will start with John Burnhal, who
- 18:06Speaker 1: is I think one of the best actors going right now.
- 18:11Speaker 1: He doesn't have the greatest catchy name that so many
- 18:13Speaker 1: Hollywood stars do, but you know him by face for sure.
- 18:17Speaker 1: He first broke on the scene as Shane in The
- 18:20Speaker 1: Walking Dead. And talk about punching out of a series
- 18:25Speaker 1: at the right time to go do movies and things.
- 18:29Speaker 1: John Burnhal nailed it because he did the first few
- 18:32Speaker 1: seasons or first two seasons I think it was first
- 18:34Speaker 1: two or three seasons of Walking Dead, got out at
- 18:36Speaker 1: a good time, went to go start making movies, and
- 18:39Speaker 1: it is absolutely paid off. Meanwhile, almost everybody else in
- 18:43Speaker 1: the Walking Dead series is, oh, we're still doing this.
- 18:49Speaker 1: The only other exception I can really think of is
- 18:52Speaker 1: Dnai Gaia, who plays Michean on Walking Dead. She at
- 18:55Speaker 1: least went on and has a great role in the
- 18:58Speaker 1: Marvel cinematic universe in the Black Panther movies and the
- 19:01Speaker 1: Avengers movies. But yeah, I mean, otherwise it's pretty much
- 19:06Speaker 1: John Burnhal that got out and got out when the
- 19:08Speaker 1: git was good. So not only was he Shane in
- 19:10Speaker 1: The Walking Dead, but he's also my favorite Punisher the
- 19:14Speaker 1: Netflix series Punisher, the initial crossover with Daredevil Daredevil. Thank you, Jerry,
- 19:21Speaker 1: that's my favorite Punisher, favorite Punisher, Raj. Have you seen
- 19:24Speaker 1: any of the Punisher series on Netflix?
- 19:26Speaker 4: I haven't seen any of The Walking Dead.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I haven't either.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Yeah, really really good. I highly recommend just watch the
- 19:33Speaker 1: first season. I think it's ten episodes, and then if
- 19:37Speaker 1: you really like it, keep watching it through about seasons
- 19:41Speaker 1: six or seven. I'll let you know when to stop,
- 19:44Speaker 1: but definitely stop before the end. But Raj, I'm I'm sorry, Trey.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I saw you nodding your head. Did you see the
- 19:50Speaker 1: Punisher series on Netflix? Yes, so you're gonna see if
- 19:54Speaker 1: you remember this scene as well as I do. I
- 19:56Speaker 1: think it was the first or second one of the
- 19:59Speaker 1: early episodes where he goes into a bathroom to follow
- 20:03Speaker 1: this girl that he's trying to protect right because he
- 20:05Speaker 1: sees bad people after her, and one of the bad
- 20:08Speaker 1: guys I think it was a female, pulls out a
- 20:11Speaker 1: knife in the bathroom and he doesn't flinch. What does
- 20:14Speaker 1: he do? He takes off his belt, wraps it around
- 20:18Speaker 1: his arm, and then beats the ever loving out of
- 20:22Speaker 1: her hard and anyone else that comes in that bathroom.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Have you ever seen a toilet swirly Marvel cinematic punisher style?
- 20:32Speaker 1: I have not, Then, Raj, you need to see the punisher.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Okay, that's the that's your review. Yes, this is the
- 20:41Speaker 4: only reason.
- 20:42Speaker 2: She pulls out a knife.
- 20:43Speaker 1: He wraps his belt around his arm and then beats
- 20:45Speaker 1: the ever living out of her and gives her a
- 20:48Speaker 1: toilet swirly, but a really hard one. It's very hard
- 20:51Speaker 1: on the plumbing. Yeah, they called in Brooks Plumbing after that,
- 20:55Speaker 1: after that particular day.
- 20:58Speaker 2: So anyway, John Burns all happy birthday to him.
- 21:00Speaker 7: He is.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I think it's forty eight today. And it also like
- 21:03Speaker 1: to point out he also has a role as Mikey
- 21:06Speaker 1: in the FX show The Bear, which just won a
- 21:08Speaker 1: bunch of Emmys the other night. And for the life
- 21:12Speaker 1: of me, I don't know why not that why he
- 21:16Speaker 1: plays Mikey, but why The Bear keeps winning all these
- 21:18Speaker 1: Emmys Because it's listed with the Academy of Emmys whatever
- 21:23Speaker 1: as a comedy.
- 21:24Speaker 2: It's not. Has anyone watched it? Yeah?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Okay, Tray, you know that show's not funny. It's got
- 21:35Speaker 1: some good performances, but no, it's not funny.
- 21:37Speaker 2: It's depressing. It's sad.
- 21:38Speaker 1: That season three made me angry, and it's still winning stuff.
- 21:41Speaker 9: And I don't know why if you've worked in the
- 21:44Speaker 9: service industry. The bear induces PTSD.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I don't know how my wife made it through that
- 21:50Speaker 1: first season because I had to drag her. I'm like, no, no, no,
- 21:53Speaker 1: this is supposed to be really good. Let's keep watching.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I'm really curious about this. And the only reason I
- 21:57Speaker 1: was that curious about it is because I never had
- 21:59Speaker 1: to work in service industry, but I've known all the
- 22:01Speaker 1: people in my life that have, and I respect him
- 22:05Speaker 1: undyingly for it. And Trey, you continue to which you know,
- 22:08Speaker 1: you're like a hero to the PTSD community and the
- 22:14Speaker 1: service industry as a whole. But that show is absolutely
- 22:18Speaker 1: bonkers when it comes to service industry anxiety. Yeah, so anyway,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I just wanted I was curious for anyone seeing that
- 22:25Speaker 1: and wondered why it keeps winning all these awards. Other
- 22:27Speaker 1: birthdays today from Falling Skys Moon Blood Good is forty nine.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Asia Argento is also forty nine. That's the Italian actress
- 22:36Speaker 1: from Vin Diesel's Triple X and the horror flick Land
- 22:39Speaker 1: of the Dead. And I feel it's very important to
- 22:43Speaker 1: recognize this birthday because of its importance to the It
- 22:48Speaker 1: was the late eighties, maybe around nineteen ninety. Ricky Nelson's twins,
- 22:56Speaker 1: the grandsons of Ozzy and Harriet. Together they are Nelson
- 23:01Speaker 1: Gunner and Matthew Nelson are fifty seven today. Oh b
- 23:11Speaker 1: two guys. Yeah, just the hair was so good, yes,
- 23:16Speaker 1: arguably the best hair of the eighties. Hairbands of the eighties,
- 23:20Speaker 1: My goodness.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's like Cinderella, Motley Cruz, then.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Nelson and I don't know which one, if it's Gunner
- 23:32Speaker 1: or Matthew that's wearing the knee high hooker boots, but
- 23:35Speaker 1: that was a trendsetting decision at this time.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Yeah, you know that's gonna be Gunner.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Is Matthew too prude to go with the knee high
- 23:51Speaker 2: hooker boots?
- 23:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's not a Matthew move. That's a Gunner move.
- 23:59Speaker 1: And he's probably actually looking for his counterpart in the crowd,
- 24:03Speaker 1: also wearing the hooker boots and the white jeans. Love
- 24:09Speaker 1: an affection by the Gunner and Matthew Nelson. My goodness,
- 24:13Speaker 1: that was I think that was the number one hit
- 24:15Speaker 1: when that song came out because that video. I remember
- 24:16Speaker 1: back when MTV played videos, oh at least once an hour,
- 24:20Speaker 1: at least, Yeah, Nelson, God bless Hollywood.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Right, Just like if you if you tried to walk
- 24:32Speaker 4: into an an R department today, any any you know,
- 24:37Speaker 4: recording company and be like, hey, so this is our
- 24:39Speaker 4: band word Nelson to'll be like, get the step out
- 24:41Speaker 4: of here.
- 24:41Speaker 1: We don't know. You don't think that would pick up
- 24:45Speaker 1: an immediate you know, label signing. I don't know if
- 24:51Speaker 1: the hooker boots would be convincing today. It's two pedestrian
- 24:55Speaker 1: by today's standard.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Ye, And if you're still wearing them at fifty seven,
- 25:03Speaker 4: there's an issue. You have a problem if you're still
- 25:06Speaker 4: fifty seven and wearing those boots.
- 25:08Speaker 1: We know some people and that are well under their
- 25:10Speaker 1: fifties and sixties and even older, that are still hanging
- 25:13Speaker 1: under their rock and roll dreams, and you know, by God,
- 25:16Speaker 1: go for it.
- 25:17Speaker 2: You never know, yes, maybe.
- 25:20Speaker 1: The sun will shine down on YouTube.
- 25:25Speaker 2: It really did make how.
- 25:29Speaker 9: Different things are today. Because I was driving down the
- 25:32Speaker 9: street and I saw this. I'm gonna guess it was
- 25:36Speaker 9: a black trans female. It had have been, but like
- 25:40Speaker 9: six six in heels. Yeah, walking down the street pushing
- 25:45Speaker 9: a hot pink shopping cart. And the first thing that
- 25:50Speaker 9: I wondered is where do you get a hot pink
- 25:51Speaker 9: shopping cart?
- 25:53Speaker 4: That's the first thought.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Like ru Paul's Etsy, or has Rue Paul actually fallen
- 26:03Speaker 1: on some really difficult times. I'm pretty sure I saw
- 26:09Speaker 1: her brother here in Seattle last week.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I'm just saying.
- 26:17Speaker 1: And one more birthday I want to mention today before
- 26:20Speaker 1: we punch out of the segment is Gary Cole. He
- 26:25Speaker 1: is sixty eight today, played the Kent Davidson on Veep,
- 26:30Speaker 1: Andrew Klein on Entourage. And if this is the Gary
- 26:34Speaker 1: Cole that I'm thinking of, yes, it is a phenomenal
- 26:38Speaker 1: character actor who was also in Pineapple Express. He was
- 26:41Speaker 1: on one of our Buddy tone Bells sitcoms for a while.
- 26:45Speaker 1: He's also one of the actors to deliver one of
- 26:48Speaker 1: my favorite lines in movie history in Talladaga Knights, because
- 26:52Speaker 1: he plays Ricky Bobby's dad in Talladega Knights and early
- 26:55Speaker 1: on in the film he shows up to you know,
- 26:58Speaker 1: father son or h what does your dad do for
- 27:01Speaker 1: a living day? And he shows up to school and
- 27:04Speaker 1: tell he's smoking in the classroom, telling everyone you gotta
- 27:09Speaker 1: be winners because he's a race car driver. The teacher says, here,
- 27:11Speaker 1: you have to put out that cigarette, and he responds
- 27:14Speaker 1: by saying, it's okay, Darling. I'm a volunteer fireman. Happy
- 27:22Speaker 1: birthday to Gunner and Matthew Nelson and two volunteer fireman
- 27:27Speaker 1: Gary Cole.
- 27:30Speaker 2: And you, Jerry.
- 27:31Speaker 3: You're visit us online threehouseonair dot com.

- 28:03Speaker 1: as well. And you were telling me just recently that you,
- 28:08Speaker 1: Daniel and Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration offer lifetime warranties
- 28:13Speaker 1: on all your work.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:14Speaker 10: Dan, that's something that we talked about for a while
- 28:17Speaker 10: now and we decided to go ahead and just pull
- 28:19Speaker 10: the trigger on it. We've had excellent reviews, we've had
- 28:21Speaker 10: excellent referrals. People really love our work when they give
- 28:24Speaker 10: us a chance, and we just want to put our

- 28:30Speaker 10: best way I can always say that is just back
- 28:32Speaker 10: it up.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Back it up.
- 28:34Speaker 10: When I was growing up and I told somebody who's
- 28:36Speaker 10: gonna kick their ass, you got to back it up. Well,
- 28:38Speaker 10: now that I'm a grown man and we're doing professional
- 28:40Speaker 10: services on people's homes and I tell them that they're

- 29:04Speaker 1: just heard, even if he dies, he's still going to
- 29:07Speaker 1: honor this stuff. I mean, that's that's that's some serious
- 29:10Speaker 1: integrity and quality craftsmanship. To have the confidence to be like, yeah,
- 29:14Speaker 1: this is how we do things, so you give the
- 29:16Speaker 1: man a call for that free roof inspection eight three
- 29:18Speaker 1: three Cook DFW, the website cookdfw dot com.
- 29:28Speaker 3: You're in the treehouse, visit us online and Treehouse on
- 29:32Speaker 3: Air dot com.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Happy to welcome Kaylin from pausing the city into the treehouse.
- 29:43Speaker 1: But before we get to her in North Texas Giving Day,
- 29:46Speaker 1: this segment brought to you by, or the previous second
- 29:49Speaker 1: brought to you by Cook DFW. Roofing and restoration. For
- 29:51Speaker 1: any of those roofing needs, especially if you've got leaks
- 29:55Speaker 1: and things, or you know, if it actually caved in,
- 29:57Speaker 1: you should probably call them because you're gonna need some help,
- 29:59Speaker 1: because that's one thing I definitely don't recommend you do yourself,
- 30:02Speaker 1: and they can help you through the insurance claim process
- 30:04Speaker 1: as well. Called Daniel and Kerry Cook at Cook DFW.
- 30:07Speaker 1: The website is cookdfw dot com, the phone number eight
- 30:10Speaker 1: three three Cook DFW, and again the website cookdfw dot com. Caitlin,
- 30:18Speaker 1: did I completely screw this up?
- 30:20Speaker 2: So today's Friday.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Is North Texas Giving Day, not today.
- 30:27Speaker 5: So by the time this comes out, it'll have been yesterday.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Ah, So Kaylinn's not gotten the memo that we're playing
- 30:33Speaker 1: the today game, we're only refer to today.
- 30:35Speaker 2: But that's okay.
- 30:36Speaker 1: So we was supposed to be because today's Friday the
- 30:39Speaker 1: episode releases, and North Texas Giving Day was yesterday, So
- 30:43Speaker 1: in treehouse style, we completely missed North Texas Giving Day.
- 30:47Speaker 5: I think that was totally us. It's one of those,
- 30:53Speaker 5: you know, it's like a rovering holiday kind of situation.
- 30:56Speaker 5: I believe last year was on a Tuesday and they
- 30:58Speaker 5: called it Giving Tuesday.
- 31:00Speaker 1: So you know, from a branding standpoint, it would help
- 31:03Speaker 1: if they picked a day and stuck with it and
- 31:05Speaker 1: then they could we would just know it by that day,
- 31:07Speaker 1: Like we know North Texas Giving Day, right, But I
- 31:11Speaker 1: don't know what day it is and I really don't
- 31:13Speaker 1: remember the date because do they do it more than
- 31:15Speaker 1: once a year? It feels like it like like a
- 31:17Speaker 1: twice a year thing.
- 31:19Speaker 5: Maybe that's the problem. Maybe there's something twice a year
- 31:22Speaker 5: and I have Giving Tuesday in North Texas Giving Day
- 31:24Speaker 5: mixed up.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Not sure, but there's the problem is it's kind of
- 31:27Speaker 1: confusing and they should probably Yeah, is it still possible
- 31:32Speaker 1: to donate to, you know, pausing the city even though
- 31:34Speaker 1: it's not North Texas Giving Day today.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Oh yeah, absolutely, we have a link tree and we've
- 31:40Speaker 5: got our Facebook page up. You can also, of course
- 31:42Speaker 5: go to our website. The lovely Ashley, who has helped
- 31:46Speaker 5: us so much with our social media stuff, has posted
- 31:49Speaker 5: things where you have multiple ways of donating, so feel
- 31:52Speaker 5: free to check any of that out. Also, I'm on Facebook,
- 31:55Speaker 5: my work email the klinetpositivecity dot org email me, I
- 31:59Speaker 5: can at you with somebody. There's there's like one hundred
- 32:03Speaker 5: different ways, so go ahead and reach out to us
- 32:06Speaker 5: and we'll figure out how to take care of that
- 32:08Speaker 5: for you.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Very cool.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Uh the website, by the way, uh pausingthecity dot org.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Go there, do that? And uh, what actually is?
- 32:17Speaker 1: What else is new besides North Texas Giving Day and
- 32:19Speaker 1: us being lake for it? What else is new at
- 32:20Speaker 1: Pause in the City, North Texas's largest all volunteer no
- 32:24Speaker 1: kill animal rescue group.
- 32:27Speaker 5: So this weekend, so Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we're going
- 32:31Speaker 5: to be at the Live Goolf tournament. We're going to
- 32:34Speaker 5: be at Whole ten, So feel free to stop by.
- 32:37Speaker 5: That's another way you can donate or just meet some
- 32:39Speaker 5: of our volunteers.
- 32:40Speaker 2: That's a good idea.
- 32:41Speaker 1: You get some of that good Saudi money donated to
- 32:43Speaker 1: the to the dogs.
- 32:46Speaker 5: We'll take.
- 32:50Speaker 1: We like, we liked you to meet our dogs available
- 32:52Speaker 1: for adoption Exxon and Mobile and this one's Shelley for
- 32:57Speaker 1: obvious reasons.
- 33:00Speaker 5: Yeah, we do also have some new dogs and Shelley
- 33:07Speaker 5: I was looking not anything quite that close. We have
- 33:15Speaker 5: a Chico.
- 33:17Speaker 2: We have a Chihuahua named Sultan.
- 33:22Speaker 5: We have what I think is a Jack Russell mix
- 33:25Speaker 5: named pork Chop. I just think that's funny.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I don't think they're gonna like.
- 33:28Speaker 5: That a reason for somebody to help us getting adopted.
- 33:36Speaker 4: I mean some of them will secretly like it.
- 33:42Speaker 5: Story about trying bacon, so we're eating it to your nephew,
- 33:45Speaker 5: so somebody will.
- 33:50Speaker 2: The food, not the dog.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Just want to make sure that is Yeah positive. City
- 33:55Speaker 1: is not based in Springfield Oisle. Oh hey, speaking of bacon,
- 34:01Speaker 1: I see a little a little head popping up there.
- 34:04Speaker 1: That's oh yeah, that's not it's not a human.
- 34:06Speaker 5: No, this is Stanley. This was our first rescue. He's special.
- 34:13Speaker 1: We're all special in the treehouse, Kaalin, we only take
- 34:18Speaker 1: our helmets off for the show.
- 34:20Speaker 5: Yeah, he's half the size of all his brothers and sisters. Yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 5: but all more like you know, we don't shy away
- 34:29Speaker 5: from dogs that have health issues and stuff like that
- 34:31Speaker 5: and get them fixed up and ready to adopt. He
- 34:34Speaker 5: made me special, but he is a fantastic dog.
- 34:37Speaker 1: So there are countless There are countless examples of that,
- 34:40Speaker 1: not only with Pauls in the city, but if you
- 34:42Speaker 1: look around in the world, you see plenty of people
- 34:44Speaker 1: that will have a quote unquote special needs dog that
- 34:47Speaker 1: might have been cast aside by somebody because maybe it
- 34:50Speaker 1: didn't have the proper AKC registration, or it might be
- 34:53Speaker 1: injured or some in some way, and people just don't
- 34:57Speaker 1: care about the animal. Enuugh to truly take care of
- 34:59Speaker 1: it and see the full life that the animal could
- 35:02Speaker 1: still have. A great example of that is not only
- 35:06Speaker 1: your dog that you're holding there, Kaelin dogs, my wife
- 35:08Speaker 1: and I have rescued.
- 35:09Speaker 2: That's been the case.
- 35:12Speaker 1: One of our friends from our CBS Radio days who's
- 35:15Speaker 1: still at CBS Radio running the fan, Gavin Spidel. His
- 35:18Speaker 1: dog especial needs, has little wheelchair wheels and things, Hey Rico.
- 35:24Speaker 1: And then even here in Seattle, there's a dog, the
- 35:29Speaker 1: German Shepherd that I've seen on its wheelchair wheels because
- 35:33Speaker 1: its back legs don't work. And just this morning I
- 35:36Speaker 1: saw that German shepherd dragging its owner up this hill
- 35:41Speaker 1: even though it's on two legs and wheels, and that
- 35:44Speaker 1: lady's basically being dragged on the sidewalk behind it. So
- 35:47Speaker 1: there are great dogs available for adoption, even if they
- 35:49Speaker 1: have some physical limitations, can still lead a massively happy,
- 35:54Speaker 1: joyous life and bring a lot to your home.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Yeah. Absolutely, I'm a sucker for those videos of dogs
- 36:02Speaker 5: with wheels.
- 36:03Speaker 2: You know, the Dodo.
- 36:05Speaker 5: Oh yeah, Oh, if I could share my screen real quick,
- 36:10Speaker 5: I'll show you one of my favorite new guys.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Please. Is this one of the new guys available from
- 36:18Speaker 1: pausing the City? Or is this this one of your
- 36:19Speaker 1: new favorite videos from the Dodo on Instagram?
- 36:23Speaker 5: No? No, I'm trying to do less with online video
- 36:27Speaker 5: as far as just like the doom scrolling yep, because
- 36:31Speaker 5: I'll look up and it's been like.
- 36:32Speaker 1: An hour mm hmm.
- 36:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:35Speaker 1: The heartwarming stories really take up a lot of time
- 36:37Speaker 1: on the timeline, but they're worth it. But then you
- 36:40Speaker 1: miss out on all the really silly dumb stuff that
- 36:43Speaker 1: we produce. So you can have both there you go.
- 36:47Speaker 5: Yeah, so actually, I think one of the most recent
- 36:50Speaker 5: times we've talked about rage this guy on the left.
- 36:53Speaker 5: But if you look right in the middle, we have Tatum.
- 36:56Speaker 5: I know, we have a lot of suckers for English bulldogs,
- 37:01Speaker 5: so he's senior. He's super snugly. I mean, if you've
- 37:06Speaker 5: ever met an English bulldog, that's pretty typical. But he
- 37:10Speaker 5: is just very happy, go lucky and.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Some boy, great smile. Looks a little bit like Winston Churchill.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 37:22Speaker 5: You know, if if you're a super light sleeper and
- 37:25Speaker 5: you can't deal with snoring, he probably is not the
- 37:27Speaker 5: guy for you, because it's a pretty typical trait for
- 37:31Speaker 5: these guys. He is also deaf, so sticking with our theme.
- 37:37Speaker 1: But see, some people will consider that a disability. But
- 37:40Speaker 1: I think for a lot of us, if we could have,
- 37:43Speaker 1: if we could choose to be deaf at various times,
- 37:45Speaker 1: I think we'd go for it.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Selective hearing, Yeah.
- 37:49Speaker 6: Yeah, my dog Jack lost his hearing about the last
- 37:56Speaker 6: I don't know, three or four years of his life.
- 37:59Speaker 6: He was half deaf and the other half was selective hearing,
- 38:01Speaker 6: so he was as good as deaf.
- 38:04Speaker 1: You're sure that was, you know, unintentional or is he
- 38:07Speaker 1: just sick of hearing you? I never asked.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Probably wise he would have ignored you exactly.
- 38:19Speaker 1: So anything else that paused in the city that you
- 38:21Speaker 1: want to mention, Kayleb. So we had we had North
- 38:24Speaker 1: Texas Giving Day yesterday. But the good thing is you
- 38:26Speaker 1: can donate to Pause in the city year round, any time,
- 38:29Speaker 1: any day. It doesn't matter any any specific needs right now.
- 38:33Speaker 5: With Pause in the City, we typically keep an Amazon
- 38:38Speaker 5: wish list up to date, so you should be able

- 44:39Speaker 1: wrong answer. Good job, Raj. Now Jerry, let's go to you.
- 44:42Speaker 1: The newest health trend is eating blank dogs and cats
- 44:47Speaker 1: and other pets. That is the incorrect answer for this
- 44:53Speaker 1: version of the game. If they play this game in Springfield, Ohio,
- 44:55Speaker 1: might be a different outcome, Trey. The newest health trend
- 44:59Speaker 1: is is eating blank otters, also an incorrect answer. We

- 45:09Speaker 1: to see if you can close out this round of
- 45:10Speaker 1: wrong answers. Only the newest hottest health trend is eating blank.

- 45:21Speaker 5: I went way off face. Mm hmm, yeah, oh no,
- 45:27Speaker 5: it's right. Tossed salads.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Incorrect? It is is the hot new health trend is.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Not eating tossed salads. And I'm not even going to
- 45:41Speaker 1: ask in which way you.
- 45:43Speaker 5: Mean that's not what I wrote down?
- 45:45Speaker 2: Yeah, what did you what? What?
- 45:47Speaker 1: What what did you write down? Kaylen? Uh huh, yep,
- 45:53Speaker 1: that's what that was gonna be my answer. This is
- 45:57Speaker 1: a great time to point out that if you don't
- 45:59Speaker 1: get the video portion of this show, you should Patreon
- 46:01Speaker 1: dot com, slash Treehouse on air that's why I wasn't
- 46:10Speaker 1: gonna say what it is. You wrote down, so you're welcome,
- 46:12Speaker 1: so you owe us something. So congratulations you guys. Everybody
- 46:17Speaker 1: won this round of wrong answers, only none of you
- 46:19Speaker 1: gave the in fact correct answer. The correct answer was.
- 46:23Speaker 1: The hot new health trend is eating dirt, and of
- 46:28Speaker 1: course this originated on TikTok. TikTok's newest health advice is
- 46:32Speaker 1: to go eat some dirt. They claim it can help
- 46:35Speaker 1: with everything under the sun, from improving gut health to
- 46:38Speaker 1: reducing wrinkles and carrying acne. The idea is biodynamic soil
- 46:44Speaker 1: and that it's loaded with all kinds of minerals that
- 46:46Speaker 1: are good for you. But of course experts say, don't
- 46:48Speaker 1: do it, it's probably dangerous. The people that do this,
- 46:52Speaker 1: by the way, are known as crunchers. Most crunchers prefer
- 46:57Speaker 1: it in the form of edible chunks of clay. Sites
- 47:00Speaker 1: that sell it use flowery language, like saying it has
- 47:03Speaker 1: a medium hard crunch and a pleasant earthy taste. But again,
- 47:08Speaker 1: you know, experts are saying, don't do it. It's stupid, it's bad,
- 47:11Speaker 1: it's not good for you. Stop getting health advice on TikTok.
- 47:15Speaker 9: Yeah, because you've no like they say, don't the yellow snow, Well,
- 47:20Speaker 9: you don't have that option with dirt.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it a brown dirt and already brown. So yeah,
- 47:26Speaker 1: that makes perfect sense. All right, let's do everybody got
- 47:29Speaker 1: time for one more quick one?
- 47:30Speaker 4: Sure?
- 47:31Speaker 2: All right?
- 47:32Speaker 1: Wrong answers only, Round two, Round two for wrong answers only.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Here we go. An eight year old drove herself?
- 47:44Speaker 1: Actually me yah, back to the subjects will be get
- 47:46Speaker 1: a little more specific to the story.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Here.
- 47:50Speaker 1: An eight year old stole her parents suv and drove
- 47:54Speaker 1: herself twelve miles to blank. An eight your stole her
- 48:00Speaker 1: parents suv and drove herself twelve miles to blank? Get
- 48:10Speaker 1: your wrong answer? Only write that down? Given a Kaylen's
- 48:16Speaker 1: confused look again and the fact she's still riding, and
- 48:19Speaker 1: based on her dirty answer last time, I'm not going
- 48:21Speaker 1: to start with Kaylen.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Let's start with Jerry. This time.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Jerry, an eight year old stole her parents' car, drove
- 48:28Speaker 1: herself twelve miles to blank. What is your wrong answer?
- 48:35Speaker 1: The American Girl's doll store. That is the incorrect answer,
- 48:39Speaker 1: So congratulations. That is not where she drove herself too.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Caylen let's go to you now, if you are ready.
- 48:47Speaker 1: An eight year old stole her parents car, drove herself
- 48:50Speaker 1: twelve miles to a.
- 48:52Speaker 5: What you say, to her grandma's house.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Oh no, Grandma's not that lucky. This little lady did
- 48:59Speaker 1: not care to go to ground's house. Ummm, let me
- 49:02Speaker 1: look at Trey's face. Let me look at Raj's face.
- 49:04Speaker 1: Wonder which one has a better answer. I think it
- 49:07Speaker 1: looks like they're playing poker. I'm gonna go with Raj.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Eight year old girl stole her parents car, drove herself
- 49:14Speaker 1: twelve miles, drove herself twelve miles to blank.
- 49:18Speaker 4: Chuck E cheese.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Also incorrect. All right, Trey, last up, here we go.
- 49:25Speaker 1: An eight year old stole her parents car, drove herself
- 49:27Speaker 1: twelve miles to a.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Blank Northern tool and equipment.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Definitely incorrect. Congratulations, everyone gets a point. That's two rounds
- 49:36Speaker 1: closed out and wrong answers only. I'm very proud of
- 49:39Speaker 1: all of you. Congratulations. Not one of you got the
- 49:41Speaker 1: actual correct answer, which is the point of the game.
- 49:44Speaker 1: In reality, this eight year old stole her parents car,
- 49:47Speaker 1: drove herself twelve miles to.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Target.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Anyone want to guess as to why.
- 49:57Speaker 4: No, I don't know why you would do that as
- 50:01Speaker 4: an eight year old.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Well, you know what, I'm going to give you more
- 50:03Speaker 1: detail into the story, and I want you to think
- 50:06Speaker 1: about a nineteen eighty PSA and see if that begins
- 50:10Speaker 1: to shed more light on this situation. An eight year
- 50:13Speaker 1: old girl in Ohio was reported missing Sunday morning when
- 50:16Speaker 1: her parents had not seen her in a few hours.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Turns out she was busy. Security footage showed the girl
- 50:21Speaker 1: got in the family's suv and drove away. Authorities found
- 50:25Speaker 1: her twelve miles away, which, by the way, would have
- 50:29Speaker 1: been at least a twenty minute drive in the area,
- 50:31Speaker 1: across multiple highways and surface streets. She was found at
- 50:35Speaker 1: a Target, more specifically at the Starbucks inside Target, where
- 50:40Speaker 1: she'd ordered herself a frappuccino. But that's not all. She
- 50:43Speaker 1: also had more than four hundred dollars in cash and
- 50:45Speaker 1: had spent some of that at Target. The police had
- 50:48Speaker 1: the store refund her for those purchases, and they haven't
- 50:51Speaker 1: said what she bought. There are a lot of questions
- 50:56Speaker 1: that surround this story. How the girl's able to navigate Target,
- 51:00Speaker 1: parking at Target, why the Starbucks baristas and the Target
- 51:04Speaker 1: clerks let an eight year old buy stuff, you know,
- 51:06Speaker 1: without any sort of supervision.
- 51:07Speaker 2: No one was hurt.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Girl did fess up to also hitting a mailbox somewhere
- 51:11Speaker 1: along her journey, So she's a felon now. Lucky for her,
- 51:16Speaker 1: she's too young to be charged criminally and her parents
- 51:19Speaker 1: have not yet commented. So little eight year old girl
- 51:23Speaker 1: stole parents suv, drove herself to Target, did some shopping,
- 51:27Speaker 1: and got a frappucino, and hit a mailbox on the way.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Does anyone know which EIGHTIESPSA I'm referring to?
- 51:34Speaker 5: Is that like it's eight o'clock where your children or whatever?
- 51:38Speaker 1: That's pretty good. That's a pretty solid one. Not the
- 51:40Speaker 1: one I'm thinking of specifically, is the sun in his
- 51:42Speaker 1: bedroom and the dad barges in with a box full
- 51:45Speaker 1: of weed and he says, where did you learn how
- 51:47Speaker 1: to do this stuff?
- 51:48Speaker 3: Son?
- 51:48Speaker 1: And the sun eventually fests up, I learned it by
- 51:50Speaker 1: watching you. How do you think an eight year old
- 51:53Speaker 1: girl knows how to steal the car? Drive at all,
- 51:57Speaker 1: knows exactly where to go Acrosstown twelve miles to Target,
- 52:02Speaker 1: buy some things, and go to the Starbucks and buy
- 52:05Speaker 1: a frappuccino. She's seen this before so many times. It
- 52:09Speaker 1: was like muscle memory. I think she learned it from
- 52:11Speaker 1: watching Mama.
- 52:14Speaker 5: I bet Dad like put her in his lap a
- 52:18Speaker 5: couple times and let her steer, you know, yep, and
- 52:22Speaker 5: she's like, Oh, I can do this.
- 52:24Speaker 1: It's pretty easy. I blame Gilmore girls.
- 52:29Speaker 2: What did they do?
- 52:31Speaker 1: That's like every other episode. You think that they gave
- 52:34Speaker 1: women this fancy idea of independence and it should have
- 52:37Speaker 1: been squashed immediately.
- 52:41Speaker 4: I'm surprised there wasn't a Starbucks closer.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Well, that goes to my point. You know that there
- 52:47Speaker 1: is a Starbucks closer to her. That's just the one
- 52:49Speaker 1: that she specifically knows about because that's the one she
- 52:53Speaker 1: gets dragged to every time Mom goes to Target, Maine.
- 52:56Speaker 5: After she hit the nailbox, she was too scared to
- 52:59Speaker 5: chance to drive through.
- 53:02Speaker 1: Okay, that's a that's an excellent theory, Kaylin. I appreciate it.
- 53:07Speaker 1: So there you have it wrong answers Only inside the treehouse,
- 53:10Speaker 1: the little girl steals the family's car, drives all the
- 53:13Speaker 1: way to Target, and buys yourself a frap of chain.
- 53:18Speaker 1: And where did she get the four hundred dollars mom's purse. Hello,
- 53:24Speaker 1: I mean, I'm assuming you actually bring up a good point.
- 53:26Speaker 1: That's another question involved in the story that we don't
- 53:28Speaker 1: have an answer to, which is where did she get
- 53:30Speaker 1: all this money for Target? Unless maybe there's like a
- 53:32Speaker 1: hidden compartment in the parents suv.
- 53:35Speaker 2: I don't know, she might be selling weed. And he goes,
- 53:37Speaker 2: learn it from you, dad anymore.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you can't be mad at that. Learn it
- 53:45Speaker 1: by watching you, all right. Thanks for hanging out with
- 53:49Speaker 1: us inside the Treehouse, Caitlyn from Pausing the City, appreciate it,
- 53:51Speaker 1: Pausing Thecity dot Org, Jerry, good to see a happy birthday.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Thank you, Farage and Trey. I'm dan making this sound
- 53:57Speaker 1: way more official than we ever really do inside the Treehouse.
- 54:00Speaker 1: But we will see you next time inside the Treehouse,
- 54:03Speaker 1: including the Super Plus episode.
- 54:05Speaker 2: See you next time.
- 54:08Speaker 5: H m hmmmm, mhm
- 54:12Speaker 10: M m hm.
