Speaker 1: We found Snap recipients had more than two thousand Tesla owners,
• 0:05
Speaker 1: two hundred Alpha Romeo owners, more than one hundred and
• 0:08
Speaker 1: forty four that we're receiving food stamps, we're driving porsches. Again.
• 0:12
Speaker 1: This is the data dumps we're getting because that we
• 0:15
Speaker 1: before we had no accountability on any of these programs.
• 0:18
Speaker 1: We now are requiring accountability. The Blue States are suing us.
• 0:22
Speaker 1: They don't want to share the data.
• 0:24
Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:27
Speaker 3: Good Wednesday morning. Nice to have you with us on
• 0:29
Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got two major
• 0:32
Speaker 3: stories for you. First up, you remember that place in Minnesota,
• 0:36
Speaker 3: you know, the Quality Leering Center. Well, they've been rated
• 0:39
Speaker 3: by the FBI, and that's just the beginning. More than
• 0:42
Speaker 3: twenty other Minnesota daycares have also now been rated by
• 0:46
Speaker 3: the FBI. It's part of a massive fraud investigation and
• 0:50
Speaker 3: we're being told this is just the tip of the iceberg.
• 0:53
Speaker 3: We'll break it down for you. Also, former FBI Director
• 0:58
Speaker 3: James Comy has now been indicted. What did he do
• 1:01
Speaker 3: to get indicted? We explained that as well. I want
• 1:04
Speaker 3: to take a quick moment and talk to you about
• 1:06
Speaker 3: an incredible organization and it is called Compassion International, and
• 1:11
Speaker 3: how you can get involved. I want to be honest
• 1:13
Speaker 3: with you for a second about how an act of
• 1:16
Speaker 3: compassion really feels. A couple of years ago, I made
• 1:19
Speaker 3: the choice to partner with an amazing organization called Compassion International.
• 1:25
Speaker 3: Why because I wanted to sponsor a child in need.
• 1:29
Speaker 3: It was a nice idea, sure, but I had no
• 1:31
Speaker 3: idea just how much that simple act would change my
• 1:35
Speaker 3: life as well. I sponsored Nadia and got to watch
• 1:39
Speaker 3: your life change right in front of my eyes, going
• 1:42
Speaker 3: from starving literally alone on the streets, to getting the
• 1:46
Speaker 3: healthcare and education she needs to reach her God given
• 1:50
Speaker 3: full potential. I got to be a part of that change.
• 1:54
Speaker 3: And the light of that compassion not only illuminates in her,
• 1:57
Speaker 3: it illuminates now in me. That is the power of compassion.
• 2:02
Speaker 3: The light of Christ shines on all of us. Feel
• 2:06
Speaker 3: it for yourself and change literally a child's life, change
• 2:10
Speaker 3: the world, and you also change yourself. You can sponsor
• 2:14
Speaker 3: child today. Visit Compassion dot com. That's Compassion dot com.
• 2:20
Speaker 3: It's a forty seven morning update and it starts right now.
• 2:24
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 2:25
Speaker 3: The quality Leering Center in Minneapolis. Remember the leering center,
• 2:30
Speaker 3: you know where you send your kids to learn something,
• 2:33
Speaker 3: But it's called the leering Center. It's not a joke.
• 2:35
Speaker 3: It was on their sign. Well, that center, plus twenty
• 2:40
Speaker 3: other Minnesota daycares have now been rated by the FBI
• 2:45
Speaker 3: as part of a massive fraud investigation. The FBI not
• 2:49
Speaker 3: only rated the infamous Quality Leering Center, but they went
• 2:53
Speaker 3: after the other ones as well. The FBI describing it
• 2:57
Speaker 3: is a multi billion dollars social services fraud. Now the raids,
• 3:02
Speaker 3: they say, we're focused on prominent businesses tied to the
• 3:06
Speaker 3: Somali American community. Today, the FBI, with federal, state, and
• 3:11
Speaker 3: local law enforcement, is involved in court authorized law enforcement
• 3:15
Speaker 3: activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation. Is what
• 3:20
Speaker 3: a Justice Department official told the New York Posts. Agents
• 3:25
Speaker 3: used a battering ram to enter at least one of
• 3:27
Speaker 3: the alleged day cares, the Metro Learning Center. No word
• 3:31
Speaker 3: if they used to call it the Learing Center or not. Now.
• 3:34
Speaker 3: The targets included the Quality Learning Center of Minnesota daycare
• 3:38
Speaker 3: that misspelled the word learning and its signage and collected
• 3:42
Speaker 3: a staggering ninety five violations from the State Human Services
• 3:47
Speaker 3: Agency between twenty nineteen and twenty twenty three that according
• 3:52
Speaker 3: to the local ABC News affiliate there, President Trump announced
• 3:56
Speaker 3: a war on fraud in his February Day of the
• 3:59
Speaker 3: Union address and put Vice President Jade Vance in charge
• 4:02
Speaker 3: of a task force leading that effort. Now, Minnesota Representative
• 4:06
Speaker 3: Christin Robbins, chair of the House Fraud Committee, called the
• 4:09
Speaker 3: raids fantastic and said she hoped they would lead to
• 4:13
Speaker 3: accountability the state has been lacking for years. Here's more
• 4:18
Speaker 3: of what unfolded on TV as this became public news.
• 4:22
Speaker 4: Federal agents seen leaving the Quality Learning Center and Brooke
• 4:27
Speaker 4: Taylor has more on that and what they're looking for.
• 4:30
Speaker 3: Brooked morning, Hi Bill, Good morning. Yeah.
• 4:32
Speaker 5: We have had a photographer there at the daycare since
• 4:35
Speaker 5: this morning capturing video of those federal agents just going
• 4:39
Speaker 5: in and out of the building collecting evidence as part
• 4:42
Speaker 5: of the DOJ's fraud investigation in Minnesota. Take a look
• 4:46
Speaker 5: at this video here. Sources tell Fox that federal agents
• 4:50
Speaker 5: are rating about twenty two businesses across Minneapolis this morning,
• 4:56
Speaker 5: and sources say many of them are tied to some
• 4:58
Speaker 5: Molly owned operations. All of this comes after that viral
• 5:02
Speaker 5: YouTube video from Nick Shirley. It was back in December.
• 5:06
Speaker 5: In that video, he visited different child's care centers and
• 5:10
Speaker 5: you'll remember they were either closed or there were just
• 5:12
Speaker 5: no children inside, despite receiving state child's care funding. Now,
• 5:17
Speaker 5: the location that you're looking at right now, it's the
• 5:20
  Speaker 5: Quality Learning Center.
• 5:21
Speaker 3: This is the daycare.
• 5:22
Speaker 5: It went viral, it blew up on social media because
• 5:26
Speaker 5: of a sign outside with learning that was literally misspelled.
• 5:29
Speaker 5: The Education Secretary at the time claimed that the daycare
• 5:33
Speaker 5: received one point nine million dollars while quote masquerading as
• 5:38
Speaker 5: a daycare. And then shortly after that, the Trump administration
• 5:42
Speaker 5: announced it was freezing child's care funding to Minnesota and
• 5:46
Speaker 5: calling for a full audit of certain daycare centers. And
• 5:50
Speaker 5: just checking my emails, now it looks like we got
• 5:53
Speaker 5: a statement from DHS sharing quote Homeland Security investigations in
• 5:58
Speaker 5: cooperation their law enforcement partners, executed criminal search warrants in
• 6:04
Speaker 5: Minneapolis relating to the rampant fraud of US taxpayers dollars,
• 6:09
Speaker 5: and as you could see, their federal agents still outside
• 6:12
Speaker 5: one of those daycare centers where they have been the
• 6:15
  Speaker 5: last few hours.
• 6:17
Speaker 3: Now, this is truly incredible, because again you've got twenty
• 6:21
Speaker 3: two different businesses being rated that represent only the tip
• 6:23
Speaker 3: of the iceberg. Clearly, if they found enough to execute
• 6:27
Speaker 3: raids against twenty two, there is still a long way
• 6:30
Speaker 3: to go in this. We have dozens, probably closer to
• 6:33
Speaker 3: one hundred childcare centers where their license capacity is much
• 6:37
Speaker 3: lower than their units they are being billed for, and
• 6:40
Speaker 3: that is a clear indicator of fraud. How on earth
• 6:44
Speaker 3: those are still allowed to have active licenses is stunning
• 6:48
Speaker 3: to us. I couldn't agree more with the congresswoman from Minnesota. Now,
• 6:52
Speaker 3: let me also remind you that the focus on fraud
• 6:55
Speaker 3: in Minnesota had largely been on the pandemic era of
• 6:58
Speaker 3: food programs and autism support services that fleeced taxpayers for
• 7:04
Speaker 3: countless dollars. The Justice Department since September has indicted seven
• 7:09
Speaker 3: alleged fraudsters who allegedly recruited members of the Somali community
• 7:14
Speaker 3: to enroll children and fake autism services, raking in more
• 7:19
Speaker 3: than fourteen million. A loon. One defendant has now pled guilty.
• 7:24
Speaker 3: Now at least sixty five people have been charged as well,
• 7:27
Speaker 3: criminally with the separate Feeding our Future scam, which ripped
• 7:31
Speaker 3: off taxpayers. The tune of two hundred and fifty million
• 7:36
Speaker 3: in counting. Many have pleaded guilty in that case as well,
• 7:40
Speaker 3: with the DOJ has begun prosecuting many of those cases
• 7:45
Speaker 3: back during the Biden administration. Now the Trump administration is
• 7:49
Speaker 3: also estimating, justin Minnesota Loan, that there is now more
• 7:54
Speaker 3: than nineteen billion. 'm going to say that again, nineteen
• 7:59
Speaker 3: billion in fron Dozens have been charged criminally. A Democratic governor,
• 8:04
Speaker 3: Tim Wallatz expressed regret during a recent congressional hearing for
• 8:07
Speaker 3: not doing more to guard against fraud, and noted that
• 8:11
Speaker 3: he had accepted responsibility by ending his bid for his
• 8:14
Speaker 3: third term as the governor of the state of Minnesota.
• 8:18
Speaker 3: In an ex post Tuesday morning, he voiced support for
• 8:21
Speaker 3: efforts to find and root out fraudsters, despite previously dismissing
• 8:25
Speaker 3: the investigation. As he described it, white supremacy not a joke.
• 8:30
Speaker 3: If you commit fraud of Minnesota, you're going to get caught.
• 8:33
Speaker 3: And that's exactly what we saw today. He tweeted out,
• 8:36
Speaker 3: we catch criminals when state and federal agencies share information,
• 8:40
Speaker 3: join investigations, work, and securing justice depends on it. He wrote,
• 8:45
Speaker 3: in a stunning about face, because now well he knows
• 8:49
Speaker 3: those donations from the Somali fraudsters aren't going to be
• 8:52
Speaker 3: coming in to him and other Democratic candidates. The statement
• 8:56
Speaker 3: was a massive about face for the twenty twenty four
• 8:59
Speaker 3: DEMOS vice presidential nominee. He previously suggested that fraud investigations
• 9:05
Speaker 3: targeting businesses that are mostly run by the Somali immigrant
• 9:09
Speaker 3: community were scapegoating and the result again of white supremacy.
• 9:14
Speaker 3: Walt said Tuesday that the raids were carried out with
• 9:17
Speaker 3: the support of local law enforcement. That is another departure
• 9:21
Speaker 3: from the mass immigration raids that took place across Minnesota
• 9:25
Speaker 3: earlier this year. Those operations carried out against the protests
• 9:30
Speaker 3: of state and local leaders through widespread backlash, which increased
• 9:34
Speaker 3: after federal agents killed two people in Minnesota. Now this
• 9:38
Speaker 3: isn't the only fraud that the administration is looking at.
• 9:43
Speaker 3: There are other frauds that are happening around the country.
• 9:46
Speaker 3: And let me just get you ready for what I'm
• 9:48
Speaker 3: about to play for you. Secretary Brook Rawlings revealed that
• 9:53
Speaker 3: in just one state alone, there were fourteen thousand in
• 9:59
Speaker 3: D individuals receiving snap benefits. That we're driving high end
• 10:05
Speaker 3: luxury cars. You want to talk about the tip of
• 10:08
Speaker 3: the Iceberg listen to this sharing.
• 10:10
Speaker 1: Previously, no data was shared. We had no idea where
• 10:13
Speaker 1: the taxpayer dollars were spent just one Red state. The
• 10:16
Speaker 1: recent dump of data, we found Snap recipients had more
• 10:20
Speaker 1: than two thousand Tesla owners, two hundred Alpha Romeo owners,
• 10:24
Speaker 1: more than one hundred and forty four that we're receiving
• 10:27
Speaker 1: food stamps, We're driving porsches. Again, this is the data
• 10:30
Speaker 1: dumps we're getting because that we before we had no
• 10:33
Speaker 1: accountability on any of these programs. We now are requiring accountability.
• 10:38
Speaker 1: The blue states are suing us. They don't want to
• 10:40
Speaker 1: share the data. And can you imagine this was a
• 10:42
Speaker 1: red state where there is actually some taxpayer accountability. Imagine
• 10:47
Speaker 1: what's happening in the blue states. If that's happening in
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: the red state.
• 10:51
Speaker 3: This goes back to the President of the United States
• 10:53
Speaker 3: of America saying, we're going to start looking for fraud everywhere.
• 10:57
Speaker 3: We are not just going to sit here and act
• 11:00
Speaker 3: like it's only happening in liberal states. We now know
• 11:03
Speaker 3: it's happening in conservative states, many times in liberal cities,
• 11:07
Speaker 3: because almost every conservative state does have liberal cities, and
• 11:12
Speaker 3: that is where you see this massive fraud. Next story
• 11:15
Speaker 3: number two, Former FBI director James Comy has now been
• 11:19
Speaker 3: indicted by a federal grand jury for the second time
• 11:23
Speaker 3: in what is becoming one of the most politically charged
• 11:26
Speaker 3: legal battles in recent memory. Now, this latest indictment was
• 11:30
Speaker 3: handed down in North Carolina and its centers around a
• 11:34
Speaker 3: twenty twenty five social media post a photo Comy shared
• 11:38
Speaker 3: showing seashells arranged to read eighty six forty seven. Prosecutors
• 11:44
Speaker 3: argue that phrase was a Now, prosecutors argue that that
• 11:49
Speaker 3: phrase was a clear threat against President Donald Trump because
• 11:53
Speaker 3: eighty six means to get rid of, and Trump is
• 11:56
Speaker 3: a forty seventh president. According to the US Department of Justice,
• 12:01
Speaker 3: Comy is now facing not one, but two phony counts
• 12:05
Speaker 3: threatening the present and transmitting a threat in interstate commerce.
• 12:10
Speaker 3: Here's how it was announced on Fox News has.
• 12:14
Speaker 5: Indicted former FBI director James Comy for a second time.
• 12:18
Speaker 3: I've Justice corresponded David spot Scott's story. He's here in Washington, David,
• 12:22
Speaker 3: They're going to go at it again.
• 12:24
Speaker 4: John, They are going at it again, not even a
• 12:26
Speaker 4: year after they went at it. After the first time.
• 12:28
Speaker 4: We're told this via several law enforcement sources. We're told
• 12:31
Speaker 4: this is related to an Instagram post from the former
• 12:34
Speaker 4: FBI director last year when he posted on the beach
• 12:37
Speaker 4: you may remember there was a formation of shells that
• 12:40
Speaker 4: said eighty six forty seven that were in that pairing
• 12:45
Speaker 4: of eighty six forty seven, and he said something along
• 12:48
Speaker 4: the lines of isn't this a curious formation that I
• 12:51
Speaker 4: just found while walking on the beach. Well, critics to
• 12:54
Speaker 4: that post immediately pointed out that eighty six, at least
• 12:58
Speaker 4: in the restaurant world, means to get rid of or
• 13:00
Speaker 4: to kill something from a menu. Forty seven meeting the
• 13:03
Speaker 4: forty seventh president of the United States. So Komy did
• 13:07
Speaker 4: speak with the Secret Service, did speak with federal investigators
• 13:10
Speaker 4: at the time. He was interviewed last spring or early
• 13:13
Speaker 4: last summer. Shortly after that happened. No charges were ever filed,
• 13:18
Speaker 4: But now it appears that he has been indicted. Today,
• 13:21
Speaker 4: we're working to learn more about the indictment. We're waiting
• 13:25
Speaker 4: to see if officials have anything to say on this.
• 13:28
Speaker 4: That is the post that you see right there, cool
• 13:30
Speaker 4: shell formation on my beach walk from former director.
• 13:35
Speaker 3: Now, this obviously is going to be very interesting, and
• 13:37
Speaker 3: what's also interesting is how the media is covering it.
• 13:40
Speaker 3: You heard how Fox is covering it, but listen to
• 13:42
Speaker 3: the difference when CNN brought it up on their program.
• 13:45
Speaker 6: We also know that there has been investigation ongoing down
• 13:49
Speaker 6: in Florida around a broad swath of the Russia investigation
• 13:54
Speaker 6: many years ago, starting back in twenty sixteen, an investigation
• 13:57
Speaker 6: Comy had worked on until Donald Trump fired him as
• 14:00
Speaker 6: his FBI director. Could it be something related to that?
• 14:03
Speaker 6: A lot of questions here, But this is going to
• 14:06
Speaker 6: be a really interesting case moving forward because Komi had
• 14:12
Speaker 6: been indicted again and had been trying to make arguments
• 14:15
Speaker 6: in court the last time he faced charges in the
• 14:17
Speaker 6: fall that he was being singled out for prosecution that
• 14:21
Speaker 6: was very unfair. You're very likely to see something like
• 14:24
Speaker 6: that again from his legal team, and I did try
• 14:27
Speaker 6: and reach out to them for more information. I have
• 14:30
Speaker 6: nothing back at this point on that front. We're still
• 14:33
  Speaker 6: waiting bor us.
• 14:35
Speaker 3: Now. You also heard something very interesting there from CNN.
• 14:37
Speaker 3: They mentioned that there's also another investigation going on that
• 14:41
Speaker 3: deals with the Russia collusion investigation. Now, this was one
• 14:46
Speaker 3: of the most explosive political sagas in modern American history,
• 14:50
Speaker 3: and guess what it's not over. In fact, it's back
• 14:54
Speaker 3: in the spotlight now in a major way, and you
• 14:56
Speaker 3: can hear CNN is trying to get ahead of it.
• 14:59
Speaker 3: And now it also directly involved the former FBI director
• 15:02
Speaker 3: James Comy. Yet again. Now let me just remind you
• 15:06
Speaker 3: of how all this got started. Back in twenty sixteen,
• 15:10
Speaker 3: the FBI launched what was known as Crossfire Hurricane. It
• 15:13
Speaker 3: was an investigation of whether Donald Trump campaign was coordinating
• 15:18
Speaker 3: with Russia. That probe ultimately led to the Special Counsel
• 15:23
Speaker 3: Robert Muller's investigation, which confirmed that Russia did interfere in
• 15:27
Speaker 3: the election, but did not establish a con criminal They
• 15:32
Speaker 3: claimed conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. But now
• 15:37
Speaker 3: we're learning that the story doesn't end with the collusion
• 15:40
Speaker 3: hoax being declared a hoax. We now know that because
• 15:44
Speaker 3: of the Trump administration, they're saying, we're going to see
• 15:47
Speaker 3: exactly what happened here, because in twenty fifteen and into
• 15:51
Speaker 3: this year, the administration has reopened scrutiny into the origins
• 15:56
Speaker 3: of the Russian investigation, launching was effective a new criminal
• 16:01
Speaker 3: probe into the investigators themselves that includes looking into figures.
• 16:05
Speaker 3: We're being told like former CIA director John Brennan and yes,
• 16:10
Speaker 3: James Comy. According to the new reports, the FBI and
• 16:14
Speaker 3: the DOJ have begun examining whether Komy and others made
• 16:19
Speaker 3: not only false statements, but abused intelligence authorities and mishandled
• 16:24
Speaker 3: evidence during the origins of the original Russia investigation. At
• 16:29
Speaker 3: the same time, we now know newly declassified documents pushed
• 16:34
Speaker 3: by intelligence officials are also reigniting debate over whether there
• 16:39
Speaker 3: were efforts to shape or even influence the narrative. And
• 16:43
Speaker 3: that obviously is where things get complicated, and that's why
• 16:47
Speaker 3: the government is looking into all of this. US intelligence
• 16:51
Speaker 3: agencies concluded Russia did interfere in our elections, but they
• 16:57
Speaker 3: did not coordinate that interference with the Trump ca and paign.
• 17:01
Speaker 3: This is the biggest problem for James Kmy and others,
• 17:05
Speaker 3: and that's exactly why right now they're in now having
• 17:08
Speaker 3: to answer for their decisions. Because of course, it was
• 17:12
Speaker 3: the FBI director James Kmy who approved the key decisions
• 17:17
Speaker 3: early in the Russia investigation, and then he's the same
• 17:20
Speaker 3: guy that later briefed Congress about it. He was also,
• 17:23
Speaker 3: as you know, fired by President Trump in twenty seventeen
• 17:27
Speaker 3: a move that helped trigger the mower probe in the
• 17:29
Speaker 3: first place. So you fast forward to right now. Comy's
• 17:34
Speaker 3: now facing multiple legal challenges, including separate indictments unrelated to Russia,
• 17:40
Speaker 3: but at the same time he's also reportedly under scrutiny
• 17:43
Speaker 3: again for his role in that original investigation. It does
• 17:49
Speaker 3: mean that the chickens actually for once, may be coming
• 17:53
  Speaker 3: home to roost.
