- 0:03Speaker 1: Celebrating life's little victories. Victory.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Every morning we practice gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:10Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a basket, joke,
- 0:13Speaker 3: bust it out whenever someone's acting hard.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I just really needed to win, you know, sure your
- 0:18Speaker 2: little victories with us at seven oh one, two and
- 0:21Speaker 2: one ninety eight seven.
- 0:23Speaker 4: All right, Angie, Before either of us dive on into
- 0:26Speaker 4: our little victories, I have to give a big shout
- 0:28Speaker 4: out to Micah who talked about I want you to
- 0:32Speaker 4: know or She said this is for Gabe tomorrow morning,
- 0:35Speaker 4: so she must have sent this yesterday. She said, I
- 0:38Speaker 4: want you to know that Carson and I started watching
- 0:40Speaker 4: ted Lasso today because you are hyping it up on
- 0:43Speaker 4: Friday's morning show. Micah, Welcome to the greatest show maybe
- 0:48Speaker 4: ever made on television. I love that show. It is
- 0:53Speaker 4: so wholesome, so positive, so many life lessons. It's not
- 0:57Speaker 4: like super raunchy or filthy.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Like no, no, it's wonderful.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Yeah, within reason. Like kids can watch it. I mean,
- 1:03Speaker 4: I'm sure there's like some swearing and stuff, but at.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Some suggestive situations. But I'm gonna start watching it with
- 1:08Speaker 3: my teenager. So yeah, I because of you. I started
- 1:12Speaker 3: watching ted Lasso, and I know that the new season
- 1:14Speaker 3: is out. I have a few episodes left of the
- 1:17Speaker 3: third season. Yeah, and then I will dive into the fourth.
- 1:20Speaker 3: But I'm so happy for Micah. I'm for man to
- 1:23Speaker 3: be in on this ted Lasso.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Congratulations to Micah. That is a little victory right there. Well, Angie,
- 1:30Speaker 4: you are back. I didn't just want to gloss over
- 1:32Speaker 4: the fact that you hear you're hearing another voice this morning. Yeah,
- 1:36Speaker 4: I'm so glad you're back. You were gone for a week.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Thank you for returning to me. So I'm not in
- 1:40Speaker 4: here just captaining the ship's solo, but I'm glad you
- 1:44Speaker 4: are here. That is my little victory, which is a
- 1:47Speaker 4: major victory. So I so kind I jumped the gun
- 1:50Speaker 4: and kind of went first here today.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Now that's fine. No, I really am happy to be back.
- 1:54Speaker 5: I missed you.
- 1:55Speaker 3: It was kind of wonky, right because not wonky, but no,
- 1:58Speaker 3: it was that's well, because you went on paternity leave,
- 2:02Speaker 3: as you should.
- 2:03Speaker 5: You just became a father.
- 2:05Speaker 3: So then I didn't have you for two weeks and
- 2:08Speaker 3: then we got back together for one day odd day,
- 2:10Speaker 3: and then I was like, and now I'm.
- 2:12Speaker 5: Leaving and so it's good to be back.
- 2:15Speaker 3: We went on this Mike and I went on this
- 2:17Speaker 3: very long road trip. I also went to this thing
- 2:20Speaker 3: called Morning Show boot Camp, which sounds like a fake thing.
- 2:23Speaker 5: That's such a weird name for that, But basically.
- 2:25Speaker 3: The goal was that when I get back here, I
- 2:28Speaker 3: know how to do radio better.
- 2:30Speaker 5: So you will be the judge of that. It's a convention.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, And obviously you would have come with me.
- 2:37Speaker 3: But the issue is, I mean you had you had
- 2:39Speaker 3: early days of fatherhood.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I would a two week old at that pay yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 5: oh you should have brought her.
- 2:44Speaker 1: No.
- 2:44Speaker 5: But one of the things that we did this is
- 2:46Speaker 5: my little victory.
- 2:47Speaker 3: One of the things that we did on the road
- 2:48Speaker 3: trip is stop at Mom's Spaghetti in Detroit, which is
- 2:53Speaker 3: Eminem's restaurant that he opened five years ago. And there's
- 2:58Speaker 3: a video of this on the Big Night d eight
- 3:00Speaker 3: point seven Facebook page and on our Instagram at Big
- 3:03Speaker 3: nine eight seven FM. It had been a bucket list
- 3:07Speaker 3: dream for me to go actually to Detroit and try
- 3:10Speaker 3: mom Spaghetti. Back in twenty twenty one, I dressed up
- 3:14Speaker 3: as Eminem with the Mom's Spaghetti Grand opening flyer right
- 3:19Speaker 3: as my Halloween costume, and I vowed that one day
- 3:23Speaker 3: I will make it out there to try that spaghetti
- 3:25Speaker 3: and there was a vegan option for your girl. It
- 3:28Speaker 3: was delicious, well worth the trip, and so it was
- 3:31Speaker 3: good to cross that off my bucket list. So that's
- 3:33Speaker 3: my little victory. But then my other victories. Yeah, it's
- 3:36Speaker 3: just it's good to be home. Yeah, it's good to
- 3:39Speaker 3: be back with my man and my work man.
- 3:44Speaker 5: That's right way to differentiate between the two. For sure.
- 3:47Speaker 4: I have another side quest little victory. Okay, my daughter
- 3:51Speaker 4: Kaylee got to have kind of her first really i'd say,
- 3:55Speaker 4: big public outing. She had really, you know, in two
- 3:57Speaker 4: three weeks, hadn't really been inside a restaurant, have it,
- 4:00Speaker 4: hadn't really you know, She's basically been to the doctor's
- 4:03Speaker 4: office and then our house. Yeah, and so on Saturday,
- 4:06Speaker 4: Corey and I brought her to the Red River Market
- 4:09Speaker 4: in downtown Fargo and it was so it's so funny,
- 4:12Speaker 4: you know when you buy a car, or you get
- 4:14Speaker 4: a different vehicle and then all of a sudden you
- 4:16Speaker 4: just notice.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Everyone else has that car.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Yes, it is so funny when you are walking in
- 4:21Speaker 4: a big, crowded area with a stroller.
- 4:24Speaker 5: And you notice how many other parents have strollers.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Before this, I would have thought, oh, there's probably like
- 4:30Speaker 4: seven people brave enough to bring kids to this thing
- 4:32Speaker 4: in the stroller. No, there's like hundreds babies everywhere everywhere. Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 4: And then we went into her very first restaurant together,
- 4:41Speaker 4: which was great, and she basically slept and cried and
- 4:44Speaker 4: not cried. She basically slept the whole time. And I
- 4:47Speaker 4: was sitting there planning the exits. I'm going, Okay, if
- 4:50Speaker 4: we started having a problem in here, yeah, how do
- 4:53Speaker 4: I get out of hear the fastest?
- 4:55Speaker 5: How can I order this food as quickly as possible? Yeah?
- 4:58Speaker 5: And she slept the entire your time. It was wonderful,
- 5:01Speaker 5: so cute that you're like very like, oh, aware what
- 5:05Speaker 5: I gotta do?
- 5:06Speaker 3: I know what. But if anybody sees Gave and Corey
- 5:09Speaker 3: out in public with little baby Kaylee, grant some grace
- 5:15Speaker 3: if you know what it's like having a kid, Grant
- 5:19Speaker 3: some grace.
- 5:20Speaker 4: If you see hear this tantrum A right, mind your business,
- 5:23Speaker 4: keep it pushing.
- 5:24Speaker 5: I'm trying my best.
- 5:28Speaker 4: I have a surprise for you, Angie, whilst you've been away.
- 5:32Speaker 3: That is terrifying to me because usually when you have
- 5:35Speaker 3: a surprise for me, I don't like it.
- 5:37Speaker 5: I mean I might laugh, but I don't like it.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Yeah you might. I think you might like this one. Okay.
- 5:44Speaker 4: You know, back in February, we made a bet about
- 5:47Speaker 4: the Super Bowl.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Oh yes, and I won and you won.
- 5:50Speaker 4: And I have been letting my hair grow freely for
- 5:54Speaker 4: the past how many five months?
- 5:56Speaker 5: Yeah, February March six months, half a year? Oh my gosh.
- 6:02Speaker 3: And now the bet was like, you have to grow
- 6:05Speaker 3: it out at least until the baby's born.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Has she been born?
- 6:09Speaker 4: Yeah, it's kind of funny that my daughter was born.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I was gone for two weeks and then you were
- 6:15Speaker 4: gone for a week. So I've really basically given you
- 6:17Speaker 4: an extra month of growth.
- 6:18Speaker 3: And I appreciate that because I've seen you, like post
- 6:21Speaker 3: some videos and pictures and listen, I love your hair long, Kabe.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Thank you. I appreciate that.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Well, we are getting a haircut tomorrow, and I am
- 6:31Speaker 4: not just willy nilly walking into some hairplace. There is
- 6:36Speaker 4: some people who would like to be a part of
- 6:38Speaker 4: it and have paid a little bit of attention to
- 6:40Speaker 4: this hair journey. A big shout out to Mjcopelli's. Tomorrow
- 6:45Speaker 4: there will be a haircut from them for me, and
- 6:49Speaker 4: we're gonna document the whole process.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Oh.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I love this.
- 6:52Speaker 5: Yes, I thought you'd make a good surprise.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, So but what kind of haircut are you
- 6:57Speaker 3: gonna get?
- 6:58Speaker 5: Are you gonna chop it all off?
- 6:59Speaker 1: No?
- 7:00Speaker 4: I think we're keeping some length that we're just gonna
- 7:02Speaker 4: try to clean it up a little.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Okay, good. I like that because I like your hair long.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Okay, but then like, what kind of a long haircut,
- 7:09Speaker 3: like medium length?
- 7:10Speaker 5: You are? Yeah? What kind of haircut exactly? Do you know? Well?
- 7:15Speaker 4: I think I wanted to potentially give you and you
- 7:18Speaker 4: if you're listening this morning, a chance to vote. I
- 7:22Speaker 4: have had AI help me generate just three different very
- 7:25Speaker 4: basic regular haircuts for medium length hair and I kind
- 7:29Speaker 4: of want to post this and you will have today
- 7:32Speaker 4: and tomorrow morning to vote, and whichever one is chosen,
- 7:35Speaker 4: that's the one I'll get.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Oh wow, I really like that You're letting the people choose.
- 7:40Speaker 5: That's right. I'm committed to the bit. I love this. Okay.
- 7:44Speaker 5: So mjcob Pelli Salons is doing this for you.
- 7:47Speaker 4: They are, And a big shout out to them as
- 7:49Speaker 4: their their manager. Emily, from what I understand, has followed
- 7:53Speaker 4: along with this little hair growing journey which started off
- 7:57Speaker 4: as a very stupid bet, and it's so cool that
- 7:59Speaker 4: they want to be a part of it. So I'm
- 8:00Speaker 4: very grateful And a big reminder with MJ Capelli, by
- 8:03Speaker 4: the way, they have walk in Wednesdays, what is right
- 8:06Speaker 4: around the corner Angie School, And if you need a
- 8:09Speaker 4: haircut before going to school, you can get a great
- 8:12Speaker 4: haircut for just twenty five bucks all day at all
- 8:14Speaker 4: three locations. Once again, walk in Wednesdays at MJ Capelli.
- 8:18Speaker 4: And then they're also going to help me out tomorrow
- 8:21Speaker 4: and just kind of clean up what I got going
- 8:23Speaker 4: on up top of my head here.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I will say, this is the best surprise you've ever
- 8:28Speaker 3: had for really.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, I'll take that. So I will post
- 8:32Speaker 4: this on Facebook. You get to vote and we'll find
- 8:35Speaker 4: out what I'm gonna do.
- 8:36Speaker 3: I think I'm gonna post this on our Instagram too.
- 8:38Speaker 3: We need voting on all sides. This is very important.
- 8:41Speaker 5: This is your hair.
- 8:42Speaker 3: The hair makes the man in a lot of ways.
- 8:48Speaker 4: There was this discussion I wanted to bring to Big
- 8:50Speaker 4: ninety eight point seven that was interesting, and after posting this,
- 8:54Speaker 4: it's there are some people who feel very strongly one
- 8:57Speaker 4: way or the other. But when you go to the
- 9:01Speaker 4: store and then you're getting ready to leave and you're
- 9:03Speaker 4: going through the self checkout, do you think you should
- 9:07Speaker 4: get like a five or a ten percent discount for
- 9:10Speaker 4: scanning the items, bagging all of the items and then
- 9:15Speaker 4: you go on your merry little way? Should there be
- 9:17Speaker 4: a discount at the end of your bill for using
- 9:20Speaker 4: a self checkout lane? Seven oh one two eight zero
- 9:24Speaker 4: one nine eight seven. Now, I will say Corey and
- 9:27Speaker 4: I when we are shopping, never if unless we absolutely
- 9:31Speaker 4: have to, but never use the self checkout. We always
- 9:34Speaker 4: prefer to go to where someone is to a checker.
- 9:38Speaker 4: You're a checkout person. Yeah, and uh, I don't know.
- 9:41Speaker 4: I get this sounds bad, but I guess letting them
- 9:43Speaker 4: do it, you know.
- 9:45Speaker 5: I mean that's literally their job. Yeah, I guess.
- 9:47Speaker 4: So we never use self checkout unless we have like
- 9:51Speaker 4: two items. Yeah, but if we have a whole cart
- 9:54Speaker 4: of groceries, like I don't want to bag all these,
- 9:56Speaker 4: I'll stand here and just talk to the person and
- 9:58Speaker 4: then pay them.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah, of course, I was looking at some of these
- 10:01Speaker 3: comments Gabe, I am team No, you don't get a discount.
- 10:05Speaker 3: And as much as I love discount, okay on a
- 10:08Speaker 3: discount broad in several ways, and I love to save money. However,
- 10:14Speaker 3: what you just pointed out that is a choice. You
- 10:17Speaker 3: are choosing to use self checkout. There are people that
- 10:21Speaker 3: are working, there's cashiers, there's checkout people that are working,
- 10:24Speaker 3: and if you choose to use the self checkout, that's
- 10:27Speaker 3: because you felt like it. No one's making you do it.
- 10:33Speaker 3: I understand that there are some like in instances where
- 10:37Speaker 3: they just don't have one available, a cashier available, and
- 10:41Speaker 3: you have to use self checkout. Fine, but I think
- 10:44Speaker 3: that's ridiculous to ask for a discount, Like that's not
- 10:47Speaker 3: the norm. I know, like al d though has a
- 10:51Speaker 3: checkout person, but they don't bag your stuff. Yeah, you
- 10:55Speaker 3: have to bag your stuff, they just scan it. And
- 10:57Speaker 3: in that situation, if you look at all these prices,
- 11:01Speaker 3: they tend to be cheaper.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Yeah, that's like built into that's like built price.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Yeah, so that makes sense to me. But no, I
- 11:08Speaker 3: think it's a choice. And if you well, if I
- 11:11Speaker 3: only have two items, I'm just gonna go to self checkout. Yeah,
- 11:13Speaker 3: that's your choice, and so you don't get a discount
- 11:16Speaker 3: on that. So I'm team no discount.
- 11:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Like so for example, Elizabeth, she said, yes, why are
- 11:23Speaker 4: we doing it for free? But the cashiers baggers get paid.
- 11:26Speaker 4: And on top of that, there's a human paid to
- 11:28Speaker 4: watch you check yourself out. I know times are changing,
- 11:32Speaker 4: but some things just don't make sense. And she also had, hey,
- 11:34Speaker 4: that's just my opinion. There are tons of people who
- 11:37Speaker 4: also just say yes or like Lisa said, I might
- 11:41Speaker 4: use them if they did. Barb said absolutely, and we
- 11:45Speaker 4: have Alan he wants ten to fifteen percent.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Of a discopkay Allan.
- 11:50Speaker 4: And then, of course, like everything, there are both opinions here.
- 11:54Speaker 5: Janelle said, no, why would you?
- 11:56Speaker 4: In most cases there are self checkout lanes as well
- 11:58Speaker 4: as regular checkout lane. If you choose self checkout, why
- 12:02Speaker 4: would you also expect a discount? I see self checkout
- 12:05Speaker 4: as a convenience. Would you rather go through self checkout
- 12:07Speaker 4: line because it's a lot faster and or more efficient,
- 12:11Speaker 4: or go to someone else?
- 12:13Speaker 5: Yeah, see you've got a discount on your time. Yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 5: I like that. Spin Zone Tammy said, yep.
- 12:21Speaker 4: The employees get a discount for working there, and most
- 12:24Speaker 4: of the time, self checkout isn't a choice and it's
- 12:26Speaker 4: all that's available. That is kind of true. It depends
- 12:30Speaker 4: on There are times where self checkout is just way faster.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Well yet, yeah, way faster, But then that's that's what
- 12:39Speaker 3: you get.
- 12:40Speaker 5: You get that it's way faster.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Yeah, if it's the only option available, I understand, if
- 12:45Speaker 3: it's the only option available consistently. Yeah, I understand wanting
- 12:50Speaker 3: a discount, but in general I just don't agree.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Yeah, and then finally we'll end here.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Dana said, why on earth do you think the prices
- 12:56Speaker 4: are lower at Walmart than at a full service grocery store.
- 13:00Speaker 4: The discount is already built into their self service system,
- 13:04Speaker 4: which is kind of a way to think about it. Yeah,
- 13:06Speaker 4: I'm not a fan of the self checkout with a
- 13:08Speaker 4: giant cart full of stuff with two, three, four items
- 13:11Speaker 4: like obviously, then yes, I'll scan and just be on
- 13:14Speaker 4: my merry way really quickly.
- 13:16Speaker 5: But there is something about talking to the person. I'm
- 13:19Speaker 5: sure they hate it.
- 13:20Speaker 4: By the way, I am a Cassier's worst nightmare groceries.
- 13:24Speaker 5: I think it's humans. We crave human connection. Yeah, that's
- 13:29Speaker 5: why I always go through Yeah.
- 13:31Speaker 4: A yeapper, can't you tell I just thought this was
- 13:34Speaker 4: kind of a fun convo, so chime in.
- 13:36Speaker 5: Let us know what you think.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 13:43Speaker 1: This is am I the problem. It's me the problem.
- 13:50Speaker 2: It's me.
- 13:51Speaker 1: We'll hear one side of the story and with your.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Help decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 13:59Speaker 5: That's right, I am the problem.
- 14:01Speaker 1: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Tackling listener problems with you and with you is really
- 14:10Speaker 3: like the highlight.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I love when we get to do this. Yeah, me too,
- 14:13Speaker 5: It's magical. All right.
- 14:14Speaker 3: This is from Eddie. Hey, Gabe and Angie, this is Eddie.
- 14:17Speaker 3: I want you and your listeners to give me your
- 14:19Speaker 3: opinion on this. My girlfriend won't pick up the phone
- 14:22Speaker 3: if I call her while she's driving and she's in
- 14:25Speaker 3: the middle of singing along to a song.
- 14:28Speaker 5: That sounds fine to me. She'll wait to call me
- 14:31Speaker 5: back after. I know.
- 14:32Speaker 3: That sounds like it's not a big deal. But what
- 14:35Speaker 3: if it's an emergency, which I.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Said to her.
- 14:38Speaker 3: She said, songs are short, so what's the difference if
- 14:41Speaker 3: it's a couple minutes I have to wait? And that
- 14:45Speaker 3: just sounds a bit selfish to me. So now I
- 14:47Speaker 3: don't answer if I'm listening to music to prove a point.
- 14:52Speaker 3: We're only four months into this, but is this a
- 14:56Speaker 3: red flag? When I tell you, sir, if you're asking
- 15:02Speaker 3: if the red flag is you, then yes, not even
- 15:05Speaker 3: I think that I want to go as far as
- 15:08Speaker 3: to say that we are using the term red flag
- 15:12Speaker 3: way to Lucy Goosey these days not everything. Is this
- 15:16Speaker 3: a red flag? No, it's annoying. What's the color of
- 15:19Speaker 3: an annoying flag?
- 15:20Speaker 5: Of yellow? Maybe?
- 15:22Speaker 3: Yeah, but no, I don't think it's a it's a
- 15:25Speaker 3: I don't think it's a red flag.
- 15:28Speaker 5: I do get that it's annoying.
- 15:30Speaker 3: I do understand that I'm someone who always expects the worst,
- 15:34Speaker 3: which is not a great way to be. But whenever
- 15:36Speaker 3: my phone rings, because I'm so used to texting, if
- 15:39Speaker 3: it rings, I'm assuming something bad has happened.
- 15:42Speaker 5: So I understand being worried that it's an emergency.
- 15:45Speaker 3: But I do agree that songs are a couple of minutes,
- 15:48Speaker 3: so I don't really know what that would change if
- 15:50Speaker 3: it's a couple of minutes. Also, if your girl is
- 15:54Speaker 3: listening to Big ninety eight point seven, I'm always gonna
- 15:58Speaker 3: say keep that going versus picking up the phone call?
- 16:02Speaker 5: What do you think, Gabe?
- 16:03Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I think you're right about not everything's a flag.
- 16:06Speaker 4: You know, it's a red flag. If someone like drinks
- 16:09Speaker 4: too much and starts yelling every time after that is
- 16:11Speaker 4: a red flag. Okay, not everything is some big giant problem.
- 16:16Speaker 4: I do love this. This sounds like the first real
- 16:18Speaker 4: conundrum for this couple that's been together for four months.
- 16:22Speaker 5: Fine, I'm with you, Eddie, don't get mad. Get even I.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Have a wife, I swear to God, do you who
- 16:27Speaker 4: might pick up two out of every ten phone calls
- 16:31Speaker 4: that I have for her? And it doesn't make me upset,
- 16:34Speaker 4: but it does kind of drive me nuts. Have you
- 16:36Speaker 4: ever seen Tiger King? Yeah, and you've seen this meme
- 16:41Speaker 4: or this real I called for help twice.
- 16:45Speaker 1: That's me.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Whatever Cory sends me on some errand and I'm like,
- 16:49Speaker 5: I don't know what I'm getting. I just text me
- 16:51Speaker 5: the list so I have it.
- 16:52Speaker 4: If you don't text me the list, I'm gonna mess
- 16:55Speaker 4: it up and then I'm gonna call you, and then
- 16:56Speaker 4: you're not gonna answer the phone.
- 16:58Speaker 5: And now we're both just stuck.
- 16:59Speaker 4: I can't leave here, and I'm not going back home
- 17:02Speaker 4: without the right items.
- 17:03Speaker 5: So I guess I just live at Target. Now, who
- 17:06Speaker 5: doesn't want to live at Target? What are your thoughts?
- 17:10Speaker 5: Let us know.
- 17:11Speaker 3: We have this up on the Big ninety eight point
- 17:12Speaker 3: seven Facebook page, but call us text us seven oh
- 17:15Speaker 3: one two eight h one nine eight seven. Is it
- 17:18Speaker 3: a red flag that Eddie's girlfriend just cannot pick up
- 17:23Speaker 3: a phone called during a dope song she's singing along to.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Yeah, And you know, part of the reason I'm with
- 17:29Speaker 4: Eddie on this is our job is very unique. For
- 17:31Speaker 4: the most part, we can answer our phone anytime we
- 17:35Speaker 4: get a call. Obviously, we would not pick up the
- 17:37Speaker 4: phone while we're talking to you here on ninety eight
- 17:39Speaker 4: point seven, But generally speaking, we have phone access basically
- 17:44Speaker 4: all day. Yeah, and now my wife has a job
- 17:47Speaker 4: where she definitely does not have phone access all day.
- 17:49Speaker 5: Oh that's right. Do I care no big the phone
- 17:54Speaker 5: when I call you.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Eddie's girlfriend doesn't pick up the phone if she's driving
- 18:07Speaker 3: because she's listening to a song and singing along.
- 18:11Speaker 4: So what if she's not singing along to the song,
- 18:14Speaker 4: does she answer then?
- 18:15Speaker 5: I imagine?
- 18:16Speaker 3: So, I mean, I feel like the fact that he
- 18:17Speaker 3: put in that specific detail. If she's in the middle
- 18:20Speaker 3: of singing along to a song, then she waits to
- 18:23Speaker 3: call him. He now has decided not to answer when
- 18:26Speaker 3: she calls during a song, but realistically he wants to
- 18:29Speaker 3: know if it's a red flag that, oh, she won't
- 18:32Speaker 3: answer the phone. They're only four months in. We did
- 18:36Speaker 3: post this up on the Big ninety eight points. I'm
- 18:37Speaker 3: a Facebook page. I think not everything is a red flag.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Red is too strong a color for this one, Eddie.
- 18:45Speaker 3: I get how it would annoy you, because, if anything,
- 18:47Speaker 3: it just seems like you're eager to talk to your girl,
- 18:49Speaker 3: which is sweet. However, broll letter sing to the song.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it is funny when you hear songs and you
- 18:57Speaker 4: find that every song on planet Earth has a part
- 19:01Speaker 4: in it where you're like, oh, this my favorite part.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Shut up everyone in the car. Yes, let me hit
- 19:05Speaker 4: this note with my best Wretha Franklin.
- 19:07Speaker 5: Yes.
- 19:08Speaker 3: And if he's interrupting that with a ring ring, I
- 19:11Speaker 3: get why she does not want to answer the phone.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Nah, Julia said, just because we have phones doesn't mean
- 19:19Speaker 4: people owe you instant access and drop everything when you call.
- 19:23Speaker 4: She calls you back when she can. I don't think
- 19:26Speaker 4: it's a red flag.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Yeah, same, I agree, Taren said, I like, should we
- 19:31Speaker 3: get we have an insight. If you're calling Taran and
- 19:33Speaker 3: she's driving, here's what you can expect. She doesn't answer
- 19:36Speaker 3: while she's driving, not because of singing. Okay, well we
- 19:39Speaker 3: should add that, Terran, you should be singing along to
- 19:42Speaker 3: make ninety eight point seven songs, it's amazing, but not
- 19:44Speaker 3: to be distracted while driving.
- 19:46Speaker 5: For her, an emergency is two calls in a row.
- 19:48Speaker 3: A single call means this is easier to say, but
- 19:51Speaker 3: it's not important, So they should distinguish between the two,
- 19:56Speaker 3: and that way she'll know. Okay, maybe I do gotta
- 19:59Speaker 3: answer even if you know we're hitting that Kelly Clarkson part.
- 20:03Speaker 5: I like this.
- 20:04Speaker 4: This is very It's almost like a like a Morse
- 20:07Speaker 4: code with phone rings. You get one call, I'll let
- 20:10Speaker 4: you sing your favorite part. Just hit me back when
- 20:12Speaker 4: you get a chance. You get two calls. This is
- 20:15Speaker 4: something I need an immediate answer to. Something happened, YadA, YadA. Yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 4: I love you has to wait.
- 20:22Speaker 5: I have an emergence. I do kind of like that.
- 20:25Speaker 4: He went with the route of like, well, I'm just
- 20:27Speaker 4: I'm not gonna answer when I'm singing. Now when you
- 20:29Speaker 4: call me, I like this put out the energy that
- 20:31Speaker 4: you receive.
- 20:32Speaker 2: That starting off the day with something good. This is
- 20:43Speaker 2: Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Sometimes the good news is as simple as finding a table,
- 20:52Speaker 4: sitting down and meeting some new people. Majong is having
- 20:56Speaker 4: a bit of a comeback here in the FM area,
- 20:59Speaker 4: with more people discovering the traditional tile game, and it's
- 21:04Speaker 4: not just, you know, all about winning, it's about the connection.
- 21:07Speaker 4: The Morehead Senior Center is one place where you can
- 21:10Speaker 4: find a regular game. They play Majong every Tuesday from
- 21:13Speaker 4: one to four in the afternoon, and local instructor Chris
- 21:18Speaker 4: with maj in the Midwest, is also teaching new players
- 21:21Speaker 4: around the area, creating welcoming spaces for people to learn
- 21:25Speaker 4: the game, socialize and make new friends. It sounds like
- 21:27Speaker 4: just a great hang and Majong is just sort of
- 21:30Speaker 4: like the appetizer of it.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Yeah. I've always wanted to learn how to play Majong
- 21:34Speaker 3: ever since I saw Crazy Rich Asians.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, it's this game with like tiles. I don't
- 21:39Speaker 4: exactly know the point or the rules or anything.
- 21:42Speaker 5: I know you have to learn, yeah, exactly to center.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Who knows, maybe your next new friendship starts with a
- 21:48Speaker 4: handful of tiles and a game that you have never
- 21:50Speaker 4: played before.
- 21:52Speaker 5: And always remember my favorite.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Quote, the world is full of nice people if you
- 21:55Speaker 4: can't find one, b one, And never forget broken crans.
- 21:59Speaker 5: They still color
