- 1:08Okay, so I've been thinking about the Differences between
- 1:11male and female the autism spectrum and I've done a bunch
- 1:13of different videos about girls and the autism spectrum and
- 1:15kills with Asperger's syndrome. And I think it's really really
- 1:18interesting to look at the different types of symptoms that
- 1:21people probably would have definitely miss or they just
- 1:23kind of like glazed over. I don't even notice because
- 1:26let's face it. People always think in that
- 1:29girl's it's the last thing people think about they don't
- 1:31think girls are going on the autism spectrum.
- 1:32They just they just don't write and I did a video about the
- 1:35shocking reasons. Why but simply people are still
- 1:39going to Flat 3 to 1 ratio. Show where guys are three times
- 1:41more likely than girls to actually have a diagnosis, which
- 1:44is completely Preposterous and bizarre, but that's the world we
- 1:46currently live in. But it is changing.
- 1:48So, I decided to put down three of the most interesting traits
- 1:53and symptoms of Asperger's in women that you probably would
- 1:56have just completely glazed over and not even noticed.
- 1:58So I wanted to put this out there as a, an awareness
- 2:01campaign, really. So, so it's coming up.
- 2:03I'm really excited to get in there, diving.
- 2:05Also, if you're watching this video and you want to help
- 2:07somebody like your child or yourself, on the autism
- 2:09spectrum, That you don't know where to go.
- 2:11I actually have just released a world, exclusive premium autism
- 2:15membership subscription website, where you can sign up and pay
- 2:18monthly to actually have access to monthly courses that I
- 2:21release specifically for helping with home life and autism and
- 2:25all that kind of jazz. And there's free pdf, downloads
- 2:28that go with that. And also there will be a monthly
- 2:30coaching group video call session, where our video call
- 2:33you guys, and we talk about it. You can ask me questions,
- 2:35directly, and I can guide you in a personal way, and I answer
- 2:38every single question, it's gonna be amazing.
- 2:40If you want access to that, it's very exclusive and is only
- 2:42certain amount of people are in there, but you can definitely
- 2:45sign up right now. Level up, autism, dotnet do it
- 2:49right now. Don't miss out.
- 2:50Okay, so the first thing I'm going to talk about here is
- 2:52collecting items. No girls on the autism.
- 2:55Spectrum will be in most cases, obsessive collectors of a
- 3:00certain type of genre a certain thing, right?
- 3:02It could be stuffed toys books DVD collections or their
- 3:05favorite. Obsessional topic could be like
- 3:06anime manga or something, right? But they will collect it,
- 3:09they'll collect. The stuff will have like a
- 3:11blotch collection of all the goodies in there, things that
- 3:14they love and, you know, they'll know everything about it and
- 3:17then they'll really, really get into that subject.
- 3:20And I'll become like the probably the best collector this
- 3:24side of the world on, you know, whatever the subject of Hello
- 3:27Kitty plush toys, or something. They'll know exactly.
- 3:29All the names of the Hello, Kitty, plush toys, or collect
- 3:31all of them. And they'll have this lovely
- 3:33collection of Hello Kitty, plush toys that nobody else in the
- 3:36world will ever have right? And and it's really interesting
- 3:38because a lot of people say like I was just there myself,
- 3:41personally, just like to collect stuff, but it's actually a very
- 3:43common trait with girls in the autism spectrum, especially the
- 3:46collection side of things are very Niche markets and it could
- 3:48be as small as collecting anything to do with Twilight,
- 3:52right? But like, the Twilight book
- 3:53collection and then subsequent books that relate to Twilight,
- 3:55you know, could be a small collection but it's everything
- 3:57within that very Niche, tight kind of collectors Circle that.
- 4:03And I think that's very fascinating and I think it's
- 4:05really interesting, I love it. I love the fact that there's
- 4:07females on the spectrum that I do this and but it's definitely
- 4:10It's like people always overlook this as being a symptom or a
- 4:13symptomatic trait of autism in. It's definitely something that
- 4:16you should look into if you're questioning if a girl's on the
- 4:18autism spectrum. Okay, number two is hoarding
- 4:22object relationships, not, this sounds completely crazy, but
- 4:25what I mean by this is women on the autism, spectrum will
- 4:28usually have a habit of not being able to get rid of certain
- 4:31objects, like shoes or clothing or whatever because they will
- 4:35have a relationship that item like the item almost has a
- 4:38personality. They will.
- 4:40They will have an affinity for the item because that item has a
- 4:43personality to them that brings them some kind of Joy or
- 4:47relationship, right? And so they won't be able to
- 4:50just, you know, get new clothes and throw out the old ones.
- 4:53They may still have the the completely, you know, a out of
- 4:58shape shoes that they wore like that.
- 5:00Don't even fit them anymore, completely wrecked and trash and
- 5:03dirt all over them from like 3 or 4 years ago, you know.
- 5:06But they won't get rid of them because they have an affinity
- 5:08for them and it's hard ones, get rid of them but Of course, when
- 5:10you have Affinity that everything, you own, it becomes
- 5:13a horde because then you don't get rid of anything and we all
- 5:15need to get rid of things and recycle things, and we grow out
- 5:17of things in life is never changing process.
- 5:19But in terms of girls in the autism spectrum having this
- 5:22object relationship and having this object have personalities
- 5:26type of mindset. They just, I don't know, they
- 5:30kind of started the horde stuff and it will get rid of clothes
- 5:32and people and girls. Nielsen special will have a lot
- 5:35of clothes sometimes because of that, that relationship, if you
- 5:37know exactly what I'm talking about, you have to go to do a
- 5:39thumbs up because Cuz I just know there's those people out
- 5:41there being like, like ice talking about my daughter right
- 5:43now. Like, data that's our Kelly or
- 5:46whatever. I, Kelly Kelly is a singer.
- 5:50I meant like our Kelly not actually that good singing
- 5:53anyway, he's Trapped in the Closet.
- 5:55Hoping for a close conversation, regardless of that, no jokes,
- 5:58all jokes aside, all jokes, no joke set.
- 6:01Anyway, it doesn't matter or Surface.
- 6:02I hate holding can be a real issue and it's something that
- 6:06can help like therapy for OCD. Can definitely help with this
- 6:09because I suppose it is if OCD but also he does come
- 6:11hand-in-hand with autism so definitely look at that.
- 6:15I mean if it's an issue in your life then this is this is why,
- 6:17okay? So number three is not
- 6:19emotionally connected girls with autism are more likely, to not
- 6:24want to be honked. So the girls Nelson Factor may
- 6:29have deeper connections to their emotions as and they may feel
- 6:32emotions deeper but they won't be able to have that tactile
- 6:35sense. Your relationship with touch and
- 6:38feel through emotion. So Girls will you know, when
- 6:41they're younger they may not want to be picked up as little
- 6:43children. They don't want that kind of
- 6:45actual tactile emotion or they don't want to be hugged or like,
- 6:48you know, kissed on the cheek and stuff.
- 6:49This may be a very standoff situation.
- 6:51And so that kind of tactile emotional connection is very
- 6:55difficult to kind of process in females meals and special.
- 6:59And you'll definitely see this kind of distance between them
- 7:02and the other people and you its more common in like hugs when
- 7:05the person is older but very common in females as little
- 7:09girls. When you try to pick them up and
- 7:11give them a hug or you pick them up to move them, they don't want
- 7:13that tactile emotional response, especially if it's around
- 7:15happiness or sadness. You know, when there's actual
- 7:17emotional kind of situation to really go hand-in-hand with the
- 7:20reason that you're picking them up or moving the mortician their
- 7:22cheek or give them a high-five or whatever it is, this is very
- 7:26interesting. So it's not that they don't have
- 7:28any emotional connection. It's just not emotionally
- 7:30connected to physical tactile sense and it's a very
- 7:33interesting and and often forgotten about an overlooked
- 7:36because a lot of people say like oh she's real, she's independent
- 7:39oh she's doing and It's not because they are any of those
- 7:41things. It's actually down to an Autism
- 7:43Spectrum Disorder because of the way that their communication and
- 7:46their brain is dealing with that situation, with how they handle
- 7:48emotions and how they deal with everything that is going on.
- 7:51Now, I have a question for you. If you think this video has
