  Speaker 1: Remain mainly on this episode there are times where i

  Speaker 1: get into preacher mode there are times where I break

  Speaker 1: So let's learn together, even though it might be different

  Speaker 2: Amen? So, Lazarus dies.

  Speaker 1: Chapter 11, John verse 1 states, There was a certain
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: man who was called Lazarus.

  Speaker 2: He lived at Bethany, the village where Mary and his
• 1:23
  Speaker 2: sister Martha lived too. He became ill.
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: It was this Mary who had poured oil with a
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: nice smell over the feet of the Lord Jesus.
• 1:33
  Speaker 2: Then she had cleaned his feet with her hair.
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: It was her brother Lazarus who was ill.
• 1:41
  Speaker 2: So, Jesus has a connection. Right? He has been healed.

  Speaker 1: Pampered in a sense right. By Mary and Martha. Because they.

  Speaker 1: Not only believed. But they wanted to.
• 2:06
  Speaker 2: Prep. Jesus. For what was coming. And. They didn't even
• 2:14
  Speaker 2: know they were doing it. Hold on let's get deeper though.

  Speaker 2: Let's get deeper. Because. So the two sisters sent a
• 2:21
  Speaker 2: message to Jesus. To say Lord.

  Speaker 1: The friend that you love is ill. Jesus heard this message.

  Speaker 1: Then he said, the illness will not finish with Lazarus' death. No,
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: its purpose is to show how great God is because this,
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: people will see how great God's son is. Jesus loved
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: Martha and her sister and their brother Lazarus too. He
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: heard the news that Lazarus was ill But then stayed
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: in the place where he was for two more days.
• 2:59
  Speaker 2: He wasn't in a rush. Because it doesn't need to
• 3:08
  Speaker 2: be an urgency, right? When we're talking about the power
• 3:13
  Speaker 2: of God in flesh with the vessel of Jesus Christ
• 3:19
  Speaker 2: and the Holy Spirit. Lazarus was dead. Before I even
• 3:25
  Speaker 2: get any deeper into this. He was not only just dead.
• 3:30
  Speaker 2: He was in his grave. And I know this story because.
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: I've heard it plenty of times. I've read it plenty
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: of times. But something always stands out. Each and every
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: time I read it. That's why it's so interesting to
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: To study the Bible.
• 3:54
  Speaker 2: Because you could read something one time.
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: And.
• 3:59
  Speaker 2: Process it differently. When you read it again. Later in
• 4:03
  Speaker 2: your walk. With Christ. It starts to make more sense. So.

  Speaker 2: When we're talking about a. Supernatural miracle. And I've only
• 4:16
  Speaker 2: read the first. Three verses. We're going to get to fifteen.

  Speaker 1: Just bear with me real quick as I pass these people.

  Speaker 2: Alright, so we are back. This is the Ember Show.

  Speaker 1: walk by some people. I don't want to necessarily be

  Speaker 1: invading people's space or privacy.

  Speaker 1: So, as I was saying, with Jesus having that authority
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: and Holy Spirit ingrained in him, Jesus knew that when
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: he got there, what was going to transpire. So, after that,
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: Jesus said to his disciples, we should return to Judea.
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: The disciples said, teacher, only a short time ago, we
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: already said that. So, verse 9, Jesus answered, you know
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: that there are 12 hours in the day. Anyone who
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: walks during the day will not fall down. He will
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: not fall down because he sees the world's light. But
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: anyone who walks during the night will fall down. He
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: will fall down because he has no light. After Jesus
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: said that, he said to them, Our friend Lazarus is sleeping,
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: but I will go there to wake him up. So
• 5:41
  Speaker 1: the disciples said to him, If he is sleeping, Lord,
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: he will get.
• 5:48
  Speaker 2: Well again.
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: The disciples thought that Jesus was talking about sleep as rest.
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: But Jesus meant that Lazarus had died. So then Jesus
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: told them clearly, Lazarus is dead. But I am happy
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: that I was not there with him. I am happy
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: about that because it will help you. Now you will
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: believe in me. We must go to him now. Thomas,

  Speaker 1: who was called... Didiamus said to the other disciples, we

  Speaker 1: Before something is beautifully flourishing, whether it's a flower, whether

  Speaker 1: it's us, whether it's an establishment, it has to go
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: through A structure.

  Speaker 2: It has to have a foundation. And. Having that Holy Spirit.
• 7:28
  Speaker 2: Be able to show. To show.

  Speaker 1: What it is capable of doing. While Jesus was saying.
• 7:37
  Speaker 2: Clearly. Like night and day. That Lazarus was dead. But watch.

  Speaker 2: Watch how I bring him back to life. There's a
• 7:48
  Speaker 2: lot of things.

  Speaker 1: That I want to talk about that might bounce off
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: of this and it might be spiderwebbed. But I feel
• 7:57
  Speaker 1: it on my heart and soul and I feel the
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: Spirit ready to tell. There's going to be a lot
• 8:04
  Speaker 1: of things that are in the Bible that are going
• 8:07
  Speaker 1: to not only just resonate with you, they're going to
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: help you. There's going to be some things in the
• 8:10
  Speaker 1: Bible you don't understand because it was in a different time.
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: You do not, I repeat, you do not have to
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: understand the Bible in whole.
• 8:23
  Speaker 2: A lot of people think they do. All you have
• 8:26
  Speaker 2: to do is believe in it. And you have to
• 8:31
  Speaker 2: actually believe in it.
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: Like those things happen, okay, you don't have to necessarily
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: agree with what the Bible says.
• 8:38
  Speaker 2: You just have to believe.
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: And there's so many illustrations, there's so many parables that
• 8:48
  Speaker 1: are in the Bible. We have covered them a lot
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: in these past episodes. But a lot of the time,
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: the spirit or my way of preaching does come out.

  Speaker 1: I don't want to make this some type of just regular,
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: typical Bible study. But what I want you to understand
• 9:12
  Speaker 1: is that People, places and things. Are bound to hurt you.
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: Whether you love them. They love you. Or vice versa.
• 9:25
  Speaker 1: Obviously if there's no love there's going to be hurt.
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: But the Holy Spirit has the power to.
• 9:31
  Speaker 2: Not only heal. But rebuild and fix. What is broken.
• 9:41
  Speaker 2: If you are broken. You.
• 9:44
  Speaker 1: have an opportunity, you also have a testimony. But being
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: willing and obeying are two different things.
• 9:59
  Speaker 2: And surrender.

  Speaker 1: And having that actual faith that Jesus can bring you
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: out of the situation that you're in how are you
• 10:10
  Speaker 1: going to glorify him though if he does you just
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: call him when you need him if he were to
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: do such things It's called using. And don't we do
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: that with each other as human beings? If someone cannot perform,
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: if someone cannot get in line with our concepts of
• 10:37
  Speaker 1: what we want and what we need, we just flee.
• 10:44
  Speaker 2: Or we stay right And I am talking, I guess,
• 10:49
  Speaker 2: a little bit about relationships.
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: There's a lot that has become a culture of cheating.
• 10:56
  Speaker 1: And it's not sitting here saying, I'm not sitting here
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: being sexist and saying, oh, it's just men or it's
• 11:01
  Speaker 1: just women. No, it's both. And it's because we are
• 11:07
  Speaker 1: programmed in such a way, a lot of us, that
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: is not godly. We hear about people cheating. We hear
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: on our television screens.
• 11:22
  Speaker 2: About affairs. And programs were taught about in all of
• 11:28
  Speaker 2: our affairs. There should not be any affairs.
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: If you are dedicated to a person, place, or thing,
• 11:41
  Speaker 1: your character is going to be tested. Your loyalty is
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: going to be tested. I love how the Bible says,
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: do not lean on your own understanding. That's also your
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: own emotions. Because for so long I lived the majority
• 12:05
  Speaker 1: of my life emotionally and mentally driven.
• 12:12
  Speaker 2: Fight or flight mode.
• 12:14
  Speaker 1: But now being a follower of Christ and transitioning, I'm
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: not going to sit here and say, oh, I'm a
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: perfect angel. But what I want to mention is that
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: I'm a willing participant. I'm a willing participant to what
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit has to offer by having that relationship
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: with Jesus. Knowing that God put me together to do
• 12:42
  Speaker 1: exactly what I'm doing now.
• 12:45
  Speaker 2: Is he upset with me that it took so long?
• 12:48
  Speaker 2: Not at all. It's almost like a father, right?
• 12:53
  Speaker 1: That hasn't seen his son in a very long time.
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: And they finally reunite. And the father sees the son.
• 13:05
  Speaker 1: And runs to the son. And there's a part in
• 13:10
  Speaker 1: the Bible where that is spoken about. And that's exactly
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: how God is. He He put us together, right? In hopes,
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: as like we hope, in hopes that we come closer
• 13:27
  Speaker 1: to him. We have all been, everybody, I don't even
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: care if you've been growing up in the church. I
• 13:36
  Speaker 1: only got one minute, but I can keep going on this.
• 13:39
  Speaker 1: We have all strayed from God. God has not strayed
• 13:45
  Speaker 1: from us. Because he already has placed in us, all
• 13:49
  Speaker 1: of us, a peaking of light. I was once told,
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: you know, we're all kind of like diamonds when we
• 13:57
  Speaker 1: come into this world.
• 13:57
  Speaker 2: You know, a baby, an infant, we're cute.
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: And then along the way, you know, we get a
• 14:02
  Speaker 1: little dirty. We get trauma, things happen. It's the same
• 14:10
  Speaker 1: thing when we come to Christ.
• 14:12
  Speaker 2: We're reborn again, right? You hear that a lot.
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: You're reborn again and you have to go through this
• 14:17
  Speaker 1: life of going through trials and tribulations.
• 14:19
  Speaker 2: But you're not alone now. You're not alone. The Holy
• 14:24
  Speaker 2: Spirit will always be there with you. This is the
• 14:26

  Speaker 1: wondering when you're going to turn to the Lord. I

  Speaker 1: don't know if it's a mother. I don't know if
• 14:50
  Speaker 1: it's a father. But let that sink in. Thank you
