- 0:37Speaker 1: And I would be that.
- 0:38Speaker 2: What's something you can say about Big ninety eight point
- 0:40Speaker 2: seven's morning show but not me?
- 0:42Speaker 3: It's so huge I could say that about the Big
- 0:50Speaker 3: ninety eight point seven Morning Show.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Oh yeah, okay, I cannot say that about you.
- 0:54Speaker 2: It's a wild way to start, but okay, okay, you go, Angie,
- 0:58Speaker 2: I got one for you, all right.
- 0:59Speaker 1: You know I love wake up and hanging out with it,
- 1:01Speaker 1: but some days it's a lot. What then you don't
- 1:07Speaker 1: think that's sure?
- 1:08Speaker 4: You can't say that about me because.
- 1:10Speaker 2: It's not true, right, I can't say that about I
- 1:13Speaker 2: have two more for you?
- 1:14Speaker 1: You have two more?
- 1:15Speaker 4: Yeah too?
- 1:16Speaker 3: All right? Okay, this I can say about the Big
- 1:19Speaker 3: ninety eight point seven Morning Show, but I cannot say
- 1:21Speaker 3: it about you, Gabe.
- 1:23Speaker 4: DMS just flooded with women.
- 1:28Speaker 1: That actually is one hundred. And you know what, Angie,
- 1:31Speaker 1: you can say that about me. You know why? Because
- 1:34Speaker 1: I just love my wife so much. I stay out
- 1:36Speaker 1: of my DMS. Lady.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. All right, Angie, I
- 1:39Speaker 2: have one for you here. This is I think this
- 1:41Speaker 2: is so true. I can say this about the Big
- 1:44Speaker 2: ninety eight point seven Morning Show, but I cannot say
- 1:46Speaker 2: this to you or about you.
- 1:48Speaker 1: It's fun, it's loud, it's real consistent.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Gabe, was that hurts me? Okay, Well,
- 2:00Speaker 3: as I'm about to say this one to you, I
- 2:02Speaker 3: can say this about the Big ninety eight point seven
- 2:04Speaker 3: Morning Show, but I can't say this about you.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Okay, I want it to be louder.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Oh, I gotta tell what you need me to put
- 2:12Speaker 2: in more more effort every morning? Here, all right, I
- 2:15Speaker 2: have one more for you, Angie. Okay, Okay, my last one.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I can say this about the Big ninety eight point
- 2:21Speaker 2: seven Morning show, but I can't say this about my
- 2:23Speaker 2: co host.
- 2:24Speaker 1: It's entertaining whether I'm ready or not.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Wow seven two eight zero one nine eight seven. Things
- 2:34Speaker 2: you can say about your job, but not your coworker.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories every morning we practice gratitude on
- 2:47Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 2:49Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 2:51Speaker 3: plastic job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 2:57Speaker 5: two eight oho one ninety eight seven.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I also needed to win that day, Angie. Do you
- 3:02Speaker 1: have a little victory from your Easter weekend? I sure
- 3:05Speaker 1: do so.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Because of the horrible, horrible weather, the snow ruining my life,
- 3:12Speaker 3: we decided to do the egg hunt indoors. Sure, and
- 3:16Speaker 3: so we hit all the eggs. The kids were happy
- 3:19Speaker 3: to not have to go outside to find them. But
- 3:22Speaker 3: I mentioned a couple weeks back that my favorite hack
- 3:27Speaker 3: for the Easter egg hunt is to fill some of
- 3:30Speaker 3: the eggs with trash, and so I did that again
- 3:34Speaker 3: this year, and for the first time in egg hunt history, Liam.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Got one of the trash eggs. Oh wow, it's usually Aiden.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Aiden always seems to get both trash eggs, and so
- 3:49Speaker 3: this year Liam got one and we all got a
- 3:52Speaker 3: great big laugh out of it because they find it
- 3:54Speaker 3: amusing too. Now, I don't put trash in every egg.
- 3:57Speaker 3: They got plenty of candy. They're fine, So it was
- 4:00Speaker 3: very amusing, and I don't know, that's always.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Fun to me. What trash was in it this year
- 4:07Speaker 1: was a que tip toilet bag.
- 4:09Speaker 3: No, well, there was some crumbled up bits of like
- 4:12Speaker 3: copy paper and then wrappers from like the bag of
- 4:18Speaker 3: candy that I bought, right, I just crumpled that up
- 4:21Speaker 3: and put it in an egg.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Oh all right, well there you go. I think that's
- 4:24Speaker 2: kind of cool that they get into it. They don't
- 4:26Speaker 2: get what would the word be, annoyed, irritated?
- 4:29Speaker 5: No, you know what.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Before the egg hunt, Liam said to me, are there
- 4:33Speaker 3: any trash eggs this year? It was funny when Aiden
- 4:37Speaker 3: gets them, but I wouldn't want to get one.
- 4:39Speaker 4: So then I said, oh no, I forgot to do it.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Actually, yeah, So I lied, and then he got the
- 4:45Speaker 3: trash eggs, So it all worked out.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Well.
- 4:47Speaker 2: You know what I would say, Angie, it's good to
- 4:49Speaker 2: go through some adversity. Good for you, Liam, what about you?
- 4:52Speaker 5: Game?
- 4:52Speaker 2: Well, I got to give a big shout out to
- 4:54Speaker 2: Janelle here. First, she said she gathered all this weekend.
- 4:57Speaker 2: She gathered all the bathroom trash, the bed trash, bagged
- 5:01Speaker 2: it up and threw it all away, and she also
- 5:04Speaker 2: washed all of.
- 5:04Speaker 1: The bedroom dishes.
- 5:06Speaker 2: And she did add it feels dumb to brag to
- 5:09Speaker 2: anyone I know about this, but I still wanted to
- 5:11Speaker 2: shout out my accomplishment. Yeah, that's exactly what little victory
- 5:14Speaker 2: is all about.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Right there, and reminds me I need to empty the
- 5:18Speaker 3: bedroom trash when I got Yeah, right.
- 5:21Speaker 1: My little victory.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yesterday on Easter Sunday, Corey and I had a very
- 5:25Speaker 2: lazy weekend. It was actually kind of wonderful to sit
- 5:28Speaker 2: back and feel like we had nothing to do, which
- 5:30Speaker 2: was great. Obviously, the snow made chunks of going route
- 5:35Speaker 2: really doing anything a little bit tougher than it should
- 5:38Speaker 2: have been. But yesterday or Saturday, we bought sixty baby
- 5:44Speaker 2: clothes hangers. They're these tiny little pink hangars, and Sunday
- 5:50Speaker 2: I spent thirty or forty or whatever minutes hanging up
- 5:53Speaker 2: every single article of clothing that I could for baby
- 5:57Speaker 2: g On the way, I snapped you a couple of
- 6:00Speaker 2: a couple of the outfits.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Yeah, they weren't on hangars though when you sent them.
- 6:04Speaker 2: They weren't just yet. But baby g does have a tiny,
- 6:09Speaker 2: tiny little flannel. It is the cutest thing I've ever seen.
- 6:13Speaker 2: It was kind of funny. I'm sitting there putting all
- 6:15Speaker 2: these clothes away. My buddy Joe called me yesterday just
- 6:18Speaker 2: to say what up in Happy Easter? And I was
- 6:20Speaker 2: talking to him and I was like, well, Joe, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 2: me is like this really rugged, rough manly man, you know,
- 6:25Speaker 2: but it's gone. But it's kind of hard to not
- 6:28Speaker 2: look at some of these clothes and go, oh, they're
- 6:31Speaker 2: just so cute. So God, we also got to do
- 6:36Speaker 2: you remember Crystal who made us the oh the dream
- 6:39Speaker 2: dream Catcher?
- 6:40Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Now that we have the crib set up and the
- 6:43Speaker 2: room is, you know, kind of sort of done, we
- 6:45Speaker 2: got to set up the dream catcher above the crib.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I have a picture of that. I'm gonna send it
- 6:49Speaker 2: to Crystal this morning. But we're kind of just almost
- 6:52Speaker 2: done with this room. Obviously, we've got a baby shower
- 6:55Speaker 2: coming up, so there'll be more stuff in there. But
- 6:59Speaker 2: it was really cool to kind of see it kind
- 7:01Speaker 2: of come to fruition. We have the chair in there,
- 7:03Speaker 2: the crib, the dresser, the changing, the whole nine yards.
- 7:06Speaker 4: This is so sweet. I'm so excited.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I want to come by and like look at everything.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Can I Yeah, I'll text your wife.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm sure Corey will answer that.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Whoso pain.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Jesus?
- 7:21Speaker 2: All right, Angie, be honest with me, don't lie. How
- 7:24Speaker 2: much candy did you eat for Easter yesterday?
- 7:26Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, barely?
- 7:28Speaker 3: Any I made it a point this year to not
- 7:32Speaker 3: buy so much candy because what always happens is that
- 7:35Speaker 3: there's an overabundance, and then that means I sit there
- 7:40Speaker 3: and I snack on candy for like hours at a time.
- 7:45Speaker 3: So I didn't buy very much candy, and then I
- 7:47Speaker 3: made made it very clear to the kids, like keep
- 7:51Speaker 3: this candy away, for this is your candy.
- 7:53Speaker 1: You got it in the eggs, right.
- 7:54Speaker 3: The only thing my mistake was I I love Twizzlers.
- 8:00Speaker 3: My kids do not, and I didn't think about that
- 8:02Speaker 3: when I was buying candy because it came in a
- 8:04Speaker 3: bag of like it was Twizzlers, Jolly Rancher, gummies, and airheads.
- 8:08Speaker 4: And they took care of the gummies.
- 8:11Speaker 3: And the airheads. But there's all these Twizzlers left, and
- 8:14Speaker 3: that's my kryptonite. So I didn't bring any to work
- 8:18Speaker 3: with me on purpose.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Well that's good.
- 8:21Speaker 2: It turns out that most people bought candy for Easter.
- 8:26Speaker 2: When it came to like the food. People were actually
- 8:29Speaker 2: asked this question, what were you planning to buy for
- 8:31Speaker 2: yesterday's celebration? Ninety two percent of people with the number
- 8:35Speaker 2: one answer was candy.
- 8:36Speaker 1: It wasn't you know, we're making like.
- 8:37Speaker 2: A meal or having turkey or steak or ams. It
- 8:42Speaker 2: was candy. I, in all seriousness, did not eat one
- 8:47Speaker 2: piece of candy yesterday. I did have a cookie, so
- 8:49Speaker 2: maybe that count.
- 8:50Speaker 3: I did want to ask you because i'd not that
- 8:54Speaker 3: adults don't celebrate Easter. They obviously do, but I didn't
- 8:58Speaker 3: imagine that you were doing an egg hunt with just
- 9:00Speaker 3: you and your wife, No, And so I.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Was wondering, do you buy Easter candy?
- 9:05Speaker 2: We thought about doing some uh an Easter dog hunt
- 9:08Speaker 2: for Winona, but we got to doing baby room stuff
- 9:11Speaker 2: and Corey was doing some other cleaning things that you know,
- 9:14Speaker 2: the time escaped us. I went on a walk yesterday
- 9:16Speaker 2: that was way too long because I couldn't figure out
- 9:18Speaker 2: how to watch the Minnesota Wild hockey game. So I
- 9:21Speaker 2: went on a walk so I could listen to a
- 9:22Speaker 2: bunch of it. But it was a very kind of
- 9:24Speaker 2: just ho hum, getting baby room ready Easter Sunday at
- 9:28Speaker 2: the Glittenhouse. But you guys always do kind of fun
- 9:31Speaker 2: stuff with your egg hunting stuff, Yeah, we do.
- 9:33Speaker 4: We did it indoors this year because we weren't trying
- 9:36Speaker 4: to go outside.
- 9:36Speaker 1: You didn't throw them in the driveway and tell them
- 9:38Speaker 1: like shovel. No, that would have been a.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Life Actually, next year if this happens again, yeah, that
- 9:45Speaker 3: maybe we will. But we did an indoor one, which
- 9:48Speaker 3: almost was better because it was easy to camouflage the
- 9:51Speaker 3: eggs with better huns around the house.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Yeah, so that was fun.
- 9:56Speaker 3: And then you know I do every year the I
- 9:58Speaker 3: put a couple of eggs have trash in them instead
- 10:01Speaker 3: of candy. And this year, Liam, my eight year old,
- 10:05Speaker 3: he finally got one. Aiden usually gets the trash eggs
- 10:08Speaker 3: during the hunt, and so Liam finally got one. So
- 10:12Speaker 3: that was funny, and then.
- 10:14Speaker 4: We just kind of hung out, you know what it was.
- 10:16Speaker 5: It.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I try to do the.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Most with Easter in terms of getting everybody together and
- 10:21Speaker 3: dressed for an Easter picture.
- 10:22Speaker 4: I love a good Easter picture.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Social media. Yea, I love it.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I live for those.
- 10:30Speaker 3: But because Aunt Flo decided to visit for Easter, I
- 10:34Speaker 3: didn't make anybody get dressed because I wasn't gonna get dressed.
- 10:36Speaker 3: So that was the only thing that I missed was
- 10:38Speaker 3: having like a good family Easter picture.
- 10:41Speaker 4: But there's always next year.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I suppose that's right.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Well, if you have a wonderful family photo that you
- 10:47Speaker 2: want to share, hey, we want to see it on
- 10:48Speaker 2: Big ninety eight point seven's Facebook page. If you got
- 10:51Speaker 2: dressed up, maybe you didn't get dressed up all right,
- 10:53Speaker 2: maybe you're rocking sweatpants and a hoodie, nothing wrong with that.
- 10:56Speaker 2: We want to see them. Show, show them to us
- 10:58Speaker 2: here on Big ninety eight point seven. Good at you know,
- 11:00Speaker 2: family all together photos, and they're so they're so wonderful
- 11:05Speaker 2: to see. It's kind of like, you know, when you
- 11:06Speaker 2: see a bunch of dog photos. They just instantly put
- 11:08Speaker 2: you in a good movie. Yeah, so let us see
- 11:10Speaker 2: them on Big ninety eight points have it on Facebook.
- 11:15Speaker 5: This is am I the problem, it's hill On the problem.
- 11:21Speaker 1: It's me. We'll hear one side of the story. And
- 11:24Speaker 1: with your help, am I the problem with you?
- 11:26Speaker 5: Decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 11:30Speaker 5: I'm hardly the problem on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Let's jump into it, Hi, guys, I'm Terry looking for
- 11:38Speaker 3: advice here. I'm a single dad and my nine year
- 11:40Speaker 3: old daughter is in a carpool with two other kids
- 11:43Speaker 3: for all their activities. We all drive at least once
- 11:46Speaker 3: a week, and the girls love it because they're best
- 11:48Speaker 3: friends forever their words.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Ellowell, I love this BFF.
- 11:52Speaker 3: But one of the moms in the carpool is a
- 11:54Speaker 3: heavy smoker, and my daughter always mentions how she hates
- 11:58Speaker 3: when it's her turn to because it stinks and makes
- 12:02Speaker 3: her feel sick. I don't want to take her out
- 12:04Speaker 3: of the carpool and separate her from her friends, but
- 12:06Speaker 3: I also don't want her to be subjected to this environment,
- 12:10Speaker 3: and I feel really bad for her friend who has
- 12:12Speaker 3: to live with the cigarette smoke all the time. I
- 12:14Speaker 3: do smell smoke on her sometimes when she comes over
- 12:17Speaker 3: for playdates. I don't want to offend the mom and
- 12:20Speaker 3: jeopardize the friendship with the girls.
- 12:22Speaker 4: So how do I go about addressing this?
- 12:27Speaker 3: I actually grew up with a mom who was a smoker,
- 12:31Speaker 3: and so I feel for the kid whose parent is
- 12:36Speaker 3: the smoker. And what I will say is that I
- 12:39Speaker 3: don't think that mom realizes. I think she's nose blind
- 12:45Speaker 3: at this point to if the car smells like smoke, sure,
- 12:48Speaker 3: or if her the kid's clothes smells like smoke.
- 12:51Speaker 4: It is a tricky situation.
- 12:52Speaker 3: I do think take your daughter out of the carpool
- 12:54Speaker 3: if you don't like it, take the daughter out of
- 12:56Speaker 3: the carpool. If the mom asks, I think you have
- 13:01Speaker 3: to be honest. I think you just have to say, hey,
- 13:04Speaker 3: it's just the smoke makes my kids sick.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 13:07Speaker 3: And yes, that is uncomfortable, especially because cigarettes, that's an addiction, right,
- 13:12Speaker 3: So we don't know if this mom has tried to
- 13:15Speaker 3: quit smoking or not, if she doesn't think about it.
- 13:19Speaker 3: But it is, you know, kind of hard to just
- 13:21Speaker 3: tell someone, hey, can you stop smoking so that my
- 13:24Speaker 3: kid can feel so but you do have.
- 13:26Speaker 1: To say something.
- 13:28Speaker 3: And sometimes I can't believe I'm gonna use a gabism.
- 13:31Speaker 3: You gotta go through a little adversity. So it is
- 13:34Speaker 3: it's gonna be uncomfortable.
- 13:36Speaker 4: But you do have to say something.
- 13:38Speaker 3: As for feeling sorry, for the girl whose mom it
- 13:40Speaker 3: is that smokes like, yeah, that is a bummer, but
- 13:43Speaker 3: you kind of don't go there, don't be like and
- 13:46Speaker 3: I just feel bad for your daughter too, Like, don't
- 13:49Speaker 3: say that to the mom, don't say that, but yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 3: you do have to take her out and just be
- 13:55Speaker 3: honest about it. I get that it might cause a
- 13:57Speaker 3: problem with the friendships, like the mom might be offended.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Maybe you offer to take over carpool.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Duties sure on that day? Yeah, yeah you could, Yeah
- 14:08Speaker 2: you could. I mean maybe this this other mom would
- 14:11Speaker 2: be appreciative.
- 14:12Speaker 1: She yes, oh nice.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Now, and you know I didn't win Big ninety eight
- 14:15Speaker 2: point seven's bump at the pump this morning, so I
- 14:16Speaker 2: gotta pay for gas the next time.
- 14:18Speaker 1: It'll be this guy's turn. Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 14:21Speaker 4: What's the best.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Alternative, though, is to just offer to do it if
- 14:25Speaker 2: you can, if maybe he doesn't have that you know, ability.
- 14:28Speaker 5: To do so.
- 14:28Speaker 1: But I don't know. This is tough.
- 14:30Speaker 2: This is past my parenting realm. Yea of the one
- 14:34Speaker 2: dad class I took. But you got to put your
- 14:37Speaker 2: kid first and stand up for him sometimes sometimes your
- 14:39Speaker 2: kids got to stand up for themselves, and you kind
- 14:41Speaker 2: of have to let it, let it happen, and sit back.
- 14:44Speaker 2: This is one of those where it probably is just safer,
- 14:46Speaker 2: especially if she's feeling sick. Yeah, to just remove her
- 14:49Speaker 2: for the situation and kind of take the bullet. There
- 14:52Speaker 2: is a way to explain to this lady kindly why
- 14:56Speaker 2: your kid is not riding car anymore.
- 14:59Speaker 1: You don't have to go and be a rude about it.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think this is one where Dad's got
- 15:03Speaker 2: to kind of step up and just be like, hey,
- 15:05Speaker 2: here's the sitch and this is why she isn't gonna
- 15:08Speaker 2: ride on this day anymore.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Seven oh one two eight oho one nine eight seven.
- 15:13Speaker 3: We also have this up on the Big ninety eight
- 15:14Speaker 3: point seven Facebook page.
- 15:16Speaker 4: How would you approach this?
- 15:17Speaker 1: Back in my day, Dad would have told me my
- 15:19Speaker 1: dad was a smoker as well.
- 15:20Speaker 2: For her really, but yeah, he quit like thirty years
- 15:23Speaker 2: ago or something, but growing up, you know, he smoked cigarettes,
- 15:26Speaker 2: and back in the day, I just picture my old man.
- 15:29Speaker 2: He'd just told me they're like that tough en up
- 15:31Speaker 2: or something. Let us know your thoughts seven oh one
- 15:35Speaker 2: two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Ninety eight point.
- 15:43Speaker 3: On the problem we had Terry Wright in asking for advice.
- 15:48Speaker 3: He's a single dad and his daughter's part of a
- 15:51Speaker 3: carpool that's uh three parents, himself and two other parents.
- 15:55Speaker 3: But one of the moms is a heavy smoker. So
- 15:58Speaker 3: his daughter when she when I it's her turn to
- 16:00Speaker 3: go into that car, does not like it because it stinks.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Since she even said that it makes her sick. So
- 16:06Speaker 3: he wanted advice on what to do. How does he
- 16:09Speaker 3: get his daughter out of this car pool? What does
- 16:12Speaker 3: he say to the mom?
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I do have kind of a question as well,
- 16:16Speaker 2: because that would sort of change my answer or change
- 16:19Speaker 2: my approach.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I guess if I was terry.
- 16:21Speaker 2: So when she's driving the kids to school it's her turn,
- 16:24Speaker 2: is she like smoking in the car or is it
- 16:27Speaker 2: it just stinks because when no one else is in
- 16:29Speaker 2: the car, she smokes.
- 16:31Speaker 4: I had to get I.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Feel like that's something he would put in the email
- 16:33Speaker 3: if I had to guess, it's just that because she's
- 16:36Speaker 3: a smoker.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Okay, because I smoke's in the car when the kids
- 16:39Speaker 4: are not in it.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I would assume too, because if she's
- 16:41Speaker 2: smoking when they're in it, that's very easy to be like, hey,
- 16:44Speaker 2: my kid's not riding in a car, we're some smoking cigarettes. Yeah,
- 16:47Speaker 2: that's pretty eat. I don't even think a smoker would
- 16:50Speaker 2: be that upset. It'd be like, hey, I get it,
- 16:51Speaker 2: I get it.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, we did get some texts. Kyla said,
- 16:57Speaker 3: I a thousand percent agree.
- 16:59Speaker 4: With air and g which I love to hear.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Of course you started with that text.
- 17:04Speaker 3: It's a health it's a health concern, and there's no
- 17:07Speaker 3: other point that's necessary because health is important. What I
- 17:10Speaker 3: said is that he's just gonna have to buite the
- 17:12Speaker 3: bullet and flat out say to the mom, Hey, I'm
- 17:14Speaker 3: taking my kid out of the car pool.
- 17:16Speaker 4: And this is the reason why.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's that.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Stephanie said, I would address this in a good way,
- 17:21Speaker 2: but you are the parent and it needs to be done.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I know I would want one hundred percent to be
- 17:26Speaker 2: upset if someone was smoking around my six year old,
- 17:29Speaker 2: offend her or not.
- 17:30Speaker 1: You gotta protect your kid or your child. Excuse me.
- 17:33Speaker 3: And she's got a point I think with I think
- 17:36Speaker 3: if he mentions it to the mom, then maybe that'll
- 17:39Speaker 3: like perk up something in her brain like, oh man,
- 17:42Speaker 3: because I'm telling you my mom to this day, she's
- 17:45Speaker 3: a smoker. She tries to quit quit all the time.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Sometimes she does, sometimes she doesn't. Whatever, But when I
- 17:51Speaker 3: go visit her, she's nose blind to the fact that
- 17:54Speaker 3: her house smells like cigarettes from time to time and
- 17:58Speaker 3: she doesn't smoke in the house. So but it just
- 18:02Speaker 3: it travels, right, It smoke travels. So I'm always like, yeah, yeah,
- 18:05Speaker 3: somebody's like, Mom, it smells like ciga.
- 18:08Speaker 4: She's like, but I smoke outside. I'm like, it doesn't matter.
- 18:11Speaker 3: It travels with you. It sticks in your clothes. So
- 18:13Speaker 3: this mom might not even smoke in the car. It
- 18:17Speaker 3: might just be that because she smokes and it's with
- 18:20Speaker 3: her and then she gets in the car, and so
- 18:22Speaker 3: I think if she's alerted to that.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Maybe that'll help change her perspective.
- 18:27Speaker 3: But again, like people get addicted to cigarettes the nicotine,
- 18:30Speaker 3: So it's hard to tell someone like stop smoking and
- 18:33Speaker 3: then be able to just do it.
- 18:35Speaker 4: But you have to say something, and you got to
- 18:37Speaker 4: take the girl out of the car.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Port or just maybe when you know, the next holiday
- 18:40Speaker 2: rolls around, buyer a real strong air freshener.
- 18:44Speaker 4: You know, I'm such a gabe answer.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I do, like what Ryan out of Moorehead said, We'll
- 18:49Speaker 2: end with this one because it is the most Midwest
- 18:52Speaker 2: passive aggressive thing of all time. He said, I just
- 18:56Speaker 2: quietly adjust the schedule or volunteer to drive more. There's
- 18:59Speaker 2: no need to call her out or create more drama.
- 19:02Speaker 2: That would be so just Minnesota, North Dakota, Midwest. It's like,
- 19:06Speaker 2: I'm not gonna dress this at all. Just one day,
- 19:09Speaker 2: my kid's gonna be riding with me to school.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Fuck.
- 19:11Speaker 4: So nice.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Welcome to the Space Jam, Chains Judio days at the
- 19:20Speaker 3: Space Jam. This is so exciting. So the Artemis two
- 19:25Speaker 3: is in orbit, it's in space.
- 19:28Speaker 4: It's historic.
- 19:29Speaker 3: This is the first time in like fifty three years
- 19:32Speaker 3: there's been a crude mission.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Toward the Moon.
- 19:36Speaker 3: And today, specifically starting at noon one pm Eastern time,
- 19:41Speaker 3: so it'll be noon for us. They're going to start
- 19:44Speaker 3: live streaming coverage. You can see it on NASA Plus,
- 19:48Speaker 3: NASA's YouTube channel, Netflix, Hulu.
- 19:51Speaker 4: HBO Max. Everybody's jumping on this, everyone.
- 19:53Speaker 3: This is historic because today they will do the fly by,
- 19:58Speaker 3: the actual flyby around the Moon. This will be the
- 20:01Speaker 3: closest that any human has ever been to the Moon,
- 20:07Speaker 3: and so they're going to get you know, video pictures,
- 20:10Speaker 3: the clearest images we'll ever have had yeah, of the Moon.
- 20:15Speaker 3: So you can start streaming it like I will in
- 20:18Speaker 3: my house at noon, and then they're expected to be
- 20:23Speaker 3: the closest they ever will be to the Moon at
- 20:26Speaker 3: like six o'clock. So it's projected to be like a
- 20:29Speaker 3: six hour long event. We're just gonna put it on the.
- 20:32Speaker 4: TV and see what we see.
- 20:34Speaker 1: It's a quarter of a day.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Of a path.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Yeah, they're just in space orbiting the Moon. This is incredible.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, if you, especially if you have a young kid
- 20:45Speaker 2: who's ever shown interest in NASA or space or the Moon,
- 20:49Speaker 2: or they have a telescope or whatever, this would be
- 20:52Speaker 2: very very cool and exciting to see some of the
- 20:54Speaker 2: clearest images of the Moon that we will have period.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Yeah. I know in elementary school there is a big
- 21:01Speaker 3: focus on space, and even my kid at school on
- 21:05Speaker 3: the day of the launch, they were watching a lot
- 21:08Speaker 3: of coverage in class about this, and so if your
- 21:12Speaker 3: kid came home super excited, there's more for them to
- 21:15Speaker 3: watch today. Also, there's this little plushy on board called
- 21:19Speaker 3: Rise and they call it their zero G Indicator to
- 21:24Speaker 3: show that there's zero gravity. You see it floating around.
- 21:26Speaker 3: It's not even like a technical science like thing.
- 21:29Speaker 4: They didn't need to have it. Yeah, but a boy designed.
- 21:33Speaker 3: It who is super into space. And so this plushy
- 21:37Speaker 3: is designed just like that boy designed it. And it's
- 21:40Speaker 3: this cute little like puffball with a hat. And inside
- 21:44Speaker 3: there is a memory card that holds the names of
- 21:47Speaker 3: five point seven million people who submitted their names to
- 21:52Speaker 3: go on this flight with Artemis two. And I'm such
- 21:56Speaker 3: a nerd and my name is on it, my kid's
- 21:58Speaker 3: names are on it, Mikey's names on it. If you're
- 22:00Speaker 3: one of the five point seven million people who happened
- 22:03Speaker 3: to submit your name, let me know, text me seven
- 22:06Speaker 3: on one to it on one nine eighty seven. Are
- 22:08Speaker 3: you going to be orbiting around the Moon? I feel
- 22:11Speaker 3: like this is the way to do it because Katie Perry,
- 22:14Speaker 3: she got a lot of fleck and the people are
- 22:16Speaker 3: not into it that she went and touched space. But
- 22:19Speaker 3: if it's just your name, that didn't cost anything. Now
- 22:22Speaker 3: it didn't cost a bunch of money. So very exciting,
- 22:26Speaker 3: very historic mission Artemis two. And starting at noon today
- 22:30Speaker 3: you can live stream that.
- 22:34Speaker 5: I need some good, Big starting off the day with
- 22:38Speaker 5: something good. This is Gabe's good News on Big ninety
- 22:43Speaker 5: eight point seven.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Photographer Josh Madsen is preparing for his TED Fargo twenty
- 22:51Speaker 2: twenty six by launching a community wide portrait project across
- 22:56Speaker 2: the FM area ahead of his July twenty ninth talk.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Through his initiative, community college residents whoever can take free
- 23:05Speaker 2: black and white portraits at pop up events in April
- 23:09Speaker 2: and May, and then these images will be combined into
- 23:12Speaker 2: large murals representing the region's people and a sense of community.
- 23:17Speaker 1: We have people who send.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Us pictures of you know, the sunrises, sunsets here on
- 23:21Speaker 2: Big ninety eight point seven. A lot of people who
- 23:22Speaker 2: are really maybe into photography, just has a fun hobby.
- 23:25Speaker 2: It doesn't have to be something you know, you take
- 23:27Speaker 2: super serious. Maybe you just do it for fun. This
- 23:30Speaker 2: sounds like an awesome way for you to kind of
- 23:32Speaker 2: express yourself and get involved in this initiative. It sounds
- 23:36Speaker 2: really cool mad since TED talk will focus on connection,
- 23:39Speaker 2: belonging and how arts can bring communities together with the
- 23:43Speaker 2: finished murals unveiled alongside the event.
- 23:47Speaker 1: How cool is this?
- 23:47Speaker 4: I want to get in on this. We got to
- 23:49Speaker 4: go to one of these pop up events.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Game. Yeah, they are in April and May and nowadays.
- 23:54Speaker 2: You know, if you don't have some super expensive camera,
- 23:57Speaker 2: but you have portrait mode on your phone or whatever.
- 24:00Speaker 5: I mean.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Phones can take wonderful, wonderful pictures that I'm sure they
- 24:03Speaker 2: will accept in this and it's just so cool and
- 24:06Speaker 2: I can't wait to see the finished portrait. I wonder
- 24:08Speaker 2: if it's gonna end up, you know, being a face,
- 24:11Speaker 2: or if it's gonna say FM or so you know.
- 24:13Speaker 1: However, oh yeah, how are they going to put that together?
- 24:16Speaker 4: That'll be cool to see.
- 24:17Speaker 2: It'll be very fun to see the finished project of this.
- 24:20Speaker 2: And don't forget my favorite quote, broken crayon, still color,
- 24:23Speaker 2: and the world is full of nice people.
- 24:25Speaker 1: If you can't find one, you gotta be one,
