- 4:34Speaker 4: Yeah, An m J kind of ill set forward, Hey
- 4:38Speaker 4: Drake the Drake Bell story.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Because I think that Dan Schneider used to make him
- 4:42Speaker 1: and like Amanda Bynes like yeah for him, not even
- 4:47Speaker 1: it's not even funny really, it's kind.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Of theme song.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Perform all right?
- 4:57Speaker 4: Should we start? I set a sauce ass. I don't
- 4:59Speaker 4: know if we don't, if we don't know if that's
- 5:00Speaker 4: in it or not, but we'll see. It's a little
- 5:02Speaker 4: drake belt.
- 5:03Speaker 12: Does it work? Like does it get cut around like that?
- 5:05Speaker 4: What do you mean? Oh, well, we just haven't.
- 5:07Speaker 3: We haven't officially started.
- 5:08Speaker 4: But if you guys want to cut something, we can
- 5:10Speaker 4: cut anything.
- 5:10Speaker 12: I'm just genuinely curious, Like does it just go raw?
- 5:13Speaker 4: Like oh yeah, it'll just be raw.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:16Speaker 4: We don't really have segments or launch. All right, Welcome
- 5:20Speaker 4: back to the Son of a Boy Dad podcast.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Today.
- 5:23Speaker 4: It is Wednesday, March sixth. I believe you're here live
- 5:29Speaker 4: from the old Yack studio and we're here with Laundry Day.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Wow. I'm gonna clap. I want to clap. I want
- 5:38Speaker 3: to clap. This is our first podcast ever, really really
- 5:41Speaker 3: first first time being on the Ones and Tues.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's an honor to start here.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I will say this is like top level. I don't
- 5:52Speaker 4: know if we're gonna this is. This is definitely not
- 5:55Speaker 4: top level, but we appreciate that.
- 5:58Speaker 12: One of one of my friends, I'm gonna shut him
- 5:59Speaker 12: out right away. Joe is a big listener, you guys,
- 6:02Speaker 12: and he was listening.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 12: I just caught you guys talking about us.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and that was really cool.
- 6:08Speaker 12: Thank you guys for of course.
- 6:09Speaker 2: The airplaned it to the TV.
- 6:11Speaker 12: We were kind of watching the clips the time stand.
- 6:14Speaker 4: We just oh, yeah, that's what you gotta do. Did
- 6:16Speaker 4: you just x out as soon as the time stamp ended?
- 6:18Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, yeah. It was pretty sunny. I was giving
- 6:25Speaker 3: them a tour of the office and they were kind
- 6:27Speaker 3: of geeking out and they saw like the big case
- 6:29Speaker 3: of body armor and they were like, no way, one
- 6:33Speaker 3: of these I was like, if you guys like this,
- 6:34Speaker 3: you should have been here when big Cat with a
- 6:37Speaker 3: lot more going on, a lot more goodies.
- 6:43Speaker 4: OK, yeah, of course.
- 6:45Speaker 3: No.
- 6:45Speaker 4: It was a pleasure to suck you guys off on
- 6:47Speaker 4: the pot.
- 6:47Speaker 1: It was like, uh, we're legitimately yeah, we're legitimately big
- 6:52Speaker 1: fans of you. Guys, and uh, it kind of seems
- 6:54Speaker 1: like you guys are having a moment, Like I feel
- 6:56Speaker 1: like we're not even the only one sucking you guys
- 6:58Speaker 1: off right now.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Drake Drake, Drake's kind of sucking.
- 7:02Speaker 4: There's a lot of head. There's a lot of head.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Oh yeah, you guys were on you guys were Uh
- 7:05Speaker 4: what Drake posts you guys on his story or some shit.
- 7:08Speaker 12: Well, we can tell the story. Honestly, that was a
- 7:10Speaker 12: great rite.
- 7:12Speaker 7: Some clips, I think, well, he pusts us.
- 7:14Speaker 3: On a story.
- 7:15Speaker 12: But two days before I was just walking into my
- 7:18Speaker 12: girlfriend's room and I checked Instagram and I just see
- 7:22Speaker 12: Champagne Poppy followed.
- 7:23Speaker 2: He's like, oh, like for anyone who doesn't know, like
- 7:25Speaker 2: we're obsessed, Like we waited to listen to For All
- 7:28Speaker 2: the Dogs till it came out.
- 7:30Speaker 3: We waited. Not that night.
- 7:31Speaker 2: The next morning we were all on tour. We hopped
- 7:33Speaker 2: in the van, ran the whole thing through, like notes,
- 7:36Speaker 2: giving opinions about everything, like what.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Kind of notes?
- 7:39Speaker 7: What what notes?
- 7:40Speaker 2: You're we're just saying like, oh, I like like this
- 7:43Speaker 2: is a little bit more of a flow bum like
- 7:45Speaker 2: maybe there's less bars than there was, sort of like
- 7:47Speaker 2: a darkly in dept.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Like we were in it. We were in the weeds
- 7:50Speaker 4: with this album.
- 7:51Speaker 12: Selection followed us exactly exactly followed us, and I almost
- 7:57Speaker 12: had a heart attack, jam texting everybody like yeah, yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 12: time we all got a FaceTime. Everyone kind of realize,
- 8:05Speaker 12: and then Hennery was like, we have to message him,
- 8:07Speaker 12: and then we go to our DM and he had
- 8:09Speaker 12: already messaged us on our song and wow. We had
- 8:12Speaker 12: a whole conversation with him. I mean like it was
- 8:14Speaker 12: just like, let's.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Read a word for word which songs specifically.
- 8:19Speaker 12: Got crazy stupid love, just like yeah you and but
- 8:26Speaker 12: it was just like a random song on our album.
- 8:29Speaker 12: And he literally told us that like he's been seeing
- 8:33Speaker 12: our tiktoks things were really funny. And then saw a
- 8:36Speaker 12: video of one of our actual songs, and I was like, wait,
- 8:37Speaker 12: these guys make music. That's kind of literally what happened
- 8:40Speaker 12: on this podcast with you guys.
- 8:41Speaker 3: So it's funny that Drake just scrolls TikTok oh.
- 8:44Speaker 12: Literally he was like, one, I don't want to call
- 8:47Speaker 12: him out, but like he was like, yeah, my boys,
- 8:49Speaker 12: like send me your ship, and it just sounded like
- 8:50Speaker 12: I was texting Henry.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that's hilarious.
- 8:53Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Also, like it was the blueprint of like a lot
- 8:56Speaker 2: of people have been like, oh, you guys are a band,
- 8:58Speaker 2: you're making music, Like it's funny that you guys around TikTok,
- 9:00Speaker 2: but like what how does it really like how you're
- 9:02Speaker 2: gonna make it all connect back to your music? And
- 9:04Speaker 2: we'd always been like, no, just trust us, like whatever,
- 9:06Speaker 2: we're just gonna keep having fun. And then Drake was
- 9:08Speaker 2: like sort of like the control, like like the test
- 9:11Speaker 2: of like that's exactly what we would hope anybody like
- 9:14Speaker 2: to go through. It's like just see a funny video
- 9:16Speaker 2: and then like whatever, either the next day or you
- 9:19Speaker 2: score right after and like, oh, there's an actual song.
- 9:21Speaker 4: So like it worked out pretty well with him.
- 9:23Speaker 12: Marketing strategies planned.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Yeah, did you guys have a following like before the
- 9:28Speaker 4: funny videos started taking out, not like we do all
- 9:30Speaker 4: of a sudden, Yeah, but you guys were still like
- 9:33Speaker 4: touring and stuff.
- 9:33Speaker 12: Yeah, we've been we've been a band since we were
- 9:35Speaker 12: in high school. So we met in twenty sixteen, speak
- 9:38Speaker 12: in high school not far from here, and we became
- 9:41Speaker 12: a band like second semester of freshman year and by
- 9:45Speaker 12: junior year we're touring.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Oh shit, in high school.
- 9:47Speaker 12: You were touring mouring in high school and like by
- 9:49Speaker 12: senior year, like missed most of school.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I was gonna say, how did that work?
- 9:53Speaker 3: It was crazy?
- 9:55Speaker 12: And then we graduated in twenty twenty, which sucked for everybody.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Oh yeah, did you guys have to do a real
- 10:00Speaker 4: spaced out graduation ceremony?
- 10:02Speaker 14: I was in bed, I was on really it was
- 10:04Speaker 14: zoom on the boundary and yeah, it was pretty lit.
- 10:07Speaker 14: So she had a nice speech, who was about I
- 10:13Speaker 14: just want to get shout out to.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Big five minutes total and then right back in bed,
- 10:19Speaker 2: I was like, pretty tough.
- 10:21Speaker 15: Instead of walking across the stage, we all could submit
- 10:24Speaker 15: like these essentially a vine of whatever you wanted.
- 10:27Speaker 3: A six second cart, oh damn.
- 10:29Speaker 15: And I remember mine was I had a basketball hoop
- 10:31Speaker 15: in my backyard and I just took the deepest three ever.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Hell you missed.
- 10:35Speaker 15: Oh no, it was just sort of me walking off
- 10:37Speaker 15: into the sunset and there was five hundred of those.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Winegartner.
- 10:43Speaker 4: So I sort of tapped out through like V and
- 10:46Speaker 4: anticipation for the W I sort.
- 10:48Speaker 12: Of got back on.
- 10:49Speaker 3: But it's a pretty lame ceremony. Can I ask you
- 10:51Speaker 3: guys a quick question about Beacon High School. I used
- 10:54Speaker 3: to tutor in New York and I got to know
- 10:56Speaker 3: the the schools pretty well. And my impression of Beacon
- 10:59Speaker 3: was that it was the school. You have to take
- 11:01Speaker 3: a very specific test for Beacon, but it is technically
- 11:04Speaker 3: a public school, right.
- 11:05Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah, I don't know how it's evolved over time
- 11:08Speaker 12: for us. It is a public school that is right
- 11:10Speaker 12: for us. We had to do an interview like it
- 11:13Speaker 12: was on like a job interview, where like you got
- 11:16Speaker 12: everyone was held in the library and then you got
- 11:19Speaker 12: like picked out.
- 11:20Speaker 3: It's quite selective.
- 11:22Speaker 12: Get Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Kind of the impression that I was given of Beacon
- 11:26Speaker 3: High School from other parents who may have had students
- 11:29Speaker 3: who did not get admitted in US quite ornery about it,
- 11:34Speaker 3: was that Beacon kids were the fast crowd.
- 11:38Speaker 4: What do you mean fast fast.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Crowd?
- 11:42Speaker 2: Well, we said, yeah, we were like the first or
- 11:44Speaker 2: the second year. It used to be uptown on like
- 11:47Speaker 2: eighty something street, eighty sixth Street, like Upper east Side,
- 11:50Speaker 2: and then they moved to this new building on forty
- 11:51Speaker 2: fourth and tenth. And I remember, like in middle school,
- 11:54Speaker 2: it's like applying to college, like you go and tour it,
- 11:57Speaker 2: and there was a line around the block with exactly
- 11:59Speaker 2: the moms you were talking about and their kids.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Everybody would file in. We'd all do our.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Tour and be like, Brady, I could see you playing
- 12:06Speaker 2: music down here in the music program where like Sarah,
- 12:09Speaker 2: like you'd be amazing in the theater school. There was
- 12:12Speaker 2: all these like different little clubs that it was really
- 12:14Speaker 2: kind of big for and it was very much I
- 12:16Speaker 2: don't know what it is now, but it was very
- 12:17Speaker 2: much sort of like artsy.
- 12:19Speaker 12: It's kind of falling off. We've been hearing some bad rumors.
- 12:21Speaker 16: Really an cel El Gord go there is the other
- 12:26Speaker 16: one Nick and have beef the like have some beef.
- 12:30Speaker 16: It's like the gryffindor Slytherin, right.
- 12:32Speaker 4: I never even consider the idea that there is schools
- 12:35Speaker 4: in New York City. There are, there's actually schools here,
- 12:39Speaker 4: but it's crazy.
- 12:40Speaker 12: So it is right like it is like the college process,
- 12:42Speaker 12: like even in middle school, like you had to send
- 12:43Speaker 12: out applications, yeah, get selected.
- 12:45Speaker 4: And like so there's not just like a local school
- 12:48Speaker 4: that everyone goes to. If you live in a certain
- 12:50Speaker 4: you would get your letter early on.
- 12:52Speaker 12: You get it's more distracted out by by high school
- 12:54Speaker 12: you can go anywhere.
- 12:54Speaker 1: And that's like when we all met each other, you
- 12:56Speaker 1: apply yeah yeah, yeah yeah, like the one like and
- 13:00Speaker 1: highs like the is that that's like the hardest one
- 13:02Speaker 1: to get a.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Big funny enough, we have a really we have a
- 13:05Speaker 2: really exactly yeah very much.
- 13:08Speaker 3: So it just like you work for the doe you are,
- 13:11Speaker 3: I can go school applications all along. I don't think
- 13:14Speaker 3: that's what the fuck.
- 13:15Speaker 4: Out we have.
- 13:16Speaker 2: We have a really good friend in high school who
- 13:18Speaker 2: started taking sort of like our photos and helping us
- 13:21Speaker 2: with all the creative design, the website stuff.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Her name is Camilla. She's a legend.
- 13:24Speaker 2: But she went to ste her first year of high
- 13:26Speaker 2: school and after the first year was like, no way
- 13:29Speaker 2: I'm doing.
- 13:29Speaker 4: This is just too hard.
- 13:31Speaker 12: So well, it's so hard I don't want to make.
- 13:33Speaker 4: It, she said, No, it was not that it was
- 13:35Speaker 4: too hard for her.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I think she just realized that, like she had so
- 13:37Speaker 2: many other skills that she could be applying herself too,
- 13:40Speaker 2: and like it was sort of Beacon was sort of smart,
- 13:43Speaker 2: but it was also like smart and cool and like
- 13:46Speaker 2: she was an amazing artist and like just wanted to
- 13:48Speaker 2: do other stuff rather than like grind you know math equake.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Henry did you you went there too?
- 13:53Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 13:53Speaker 4: I went there too.
- 13:54Speaker 17: And it's crazy because there are a million kids in
- 13:56Speaker 17: the New York City public school system I think, or
- 13:58Speaker 17: it was at the time. And then we all found
- 14:01Speaker 17: each other and we've just been like like this ever since.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Holy ship. That warms my fucking hetty warms myself. So
- 14:08Speaker 3: you guys were all really tight and then you had
- 14:10Speaker 3: your your drummer. Yeah, what happened to him? It's got
- 14:15Speaker 3: a sore subject. I mean, we'll get we'll give love
- 14:21Speaker 3: for those that don't know. We were originally a five
- 14:23Speaker 3: piece shout out to each eye.
- 14:25Speaker 12: And over the past year he just kind of doing
- 14:29Speaker 12: his own thing, like I don't want to speak for him,
- 14:30Speaker 12: but kind of found a new journey, very spiritous.
- 14:33Speaker 3: He's nice with yoga, right, that's arazing.
- 14:35Speaker 1: He's got beautiful abs, oh my god, body, fat, delicious ass.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Unbelievable and might didn't dig that deep. You have to
- 14:45Speaker 3: sea his Wikipedia and it just said that he was
- 14:48Speaker 3: pursuing his personal journey or something. Actually just noticed I
- 14:51Speaker 3: should have read that as yoga, but uh, I'm trying to.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Go for more of like a Charlemagne interviewing type that's
- 14:59Speaker 4: about that fift What happened with him was a post
- 15:03Speaker 4: belone one where he's like, what are you doing about
- 15:05Speaker 4: black lives matter?
- 15:06Speaker 17: Yeah?
- 15:07Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah, shout out to each It's all love. He's
- 15:11Speaker 12: our brother for life, and.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Ok yeah yeah.
- 15:14Speaker 2: It's been like seven years too of doing it, so
- 15:16Speaker 2: I think we got we've all gotten to a point
- 15:18Speaker 2: where like it's evolved in so many different ways throughout
- 15:21Speaker 2: the course of it, and like just now people are
- 15:23Speaker 2: started starting to find the funny videos and all that stuff,
- 15:26Speaker 2: but like there's so much that we, you know, slogged
- 15:29Speaker 2: through and did all these tours. We did this last
- 15:31Speaker 2: one that we just did driving all by ourselves, like
- 15:34Speaker 2: just the five of us. It was insane and like
- 15:37Speaker 2: all power to him, Like he was just sort of like, yeah,
- 15:40Speaker 2: right now, like I need a little chill, Like I
- 15:42Speaker 2: don't know if I could be staying up till two
- 15:44Speaker 2: am getting McDonald's every night, like busting it down. And
- 15:46Speaker 2: we were like, Okay, that's cool, I'm gonna still clog
- 15:49Speaker 2: my arteries every night.
- 15:51Speaker 4: That doesn't line up with his fucking his body goals.
- 15:55Speaker 4: He killed it.
- 15:56Speaker 12: We did the last tour he was trying to do
- 15:57Speaker 12: both and it's really hard.
- 15:59Speaker 4: It's so hard.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I'm the road to be ready to do eating healthy
- 16:02Speaker 1: in any way or exercising in any way.
- 16:04Speaker 3: I mean, you guys, I'm trying to maintain this physique
- 16:07Speaker 3: right now.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Exactly, and it's a battle. It'd be one thing if
- 16:10Speaker 2: we were all super on that wave. But yeah, I
- 16:12Speaker 2: think it was probably hard because like just the timing
- 16:15Speaker 2: of it all didn't line up. Like I have not
- 16:16Speaker 2: gotten to that place in my life where I can
- 16:18Speaker 2: crush raw, celery and broccoli just now.
- 16:21Speaker 15: Actually have a challenge that we've created where you get
- 16:24Speaker 15: a big mac fries, chicken nuggets and a mcflurry and
- 16:29Speaker 15: whoever finishes it doesn't.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Have to drive. That's that's it.
- 16:33Speaker 4: You said, there's no time of it because nobody finish.
- 16:40Speaker 12: A lot of flies get bigger than your stomach.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Yeah, six chicken nuggets, Oh no, it's ten ten And
- 16:46Speaker 4: I could finish that.
- 16:48Speaker 3: So that makes it sound crazy for thinking I could
- 16:50Speaker 3: put that away. Gets more food than you think it is.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Say it again, say what the what the components are?
- 16:57Speaker 4: Mcflurry and a ten piece chicken nugget? I I ate,
- 17:00Speaker 4: I think I ate that like word for word, but
- 17:02Speaker 4: you know, you know what, never mind, you got to
- 17:07Speaker 4: get on the road with the boys.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Never get on the road with the boys, and flex
- 17:11Speaker 3: should get out there. It's crazy. That sounds like a
- 17:14Speaker 3: good How do you guys rent a car?
- 17:16Speaker 12: You own it?
- 17:17Speaker 4: Oh shit, all right, that's a.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Good way around it.
- 17:19Speaker 12: I think on Facebook, Marketplace or some shit.
- 17:21Speaker 3: That's where is it? Where do you guys keep it
- 17:23Speaker 3: in the city?
- 17:24Speaker 2: Formally, we like my parents during COVID moved to Connecticut, Stanford, Connecticut,
- 17:29Speaker 2: and they're like now the only one of our parents
- 17:32Speaker 2: I think, or maybe yours now, but they're like they
- 17:34Speaker 2: were the only one with the driveway. So I would
- 17:36Speaker 2: just be like, Mom, I'm bringing my laundry and the
- 17:38Speaker 2: van home.
- 17:39Speaker 7: Is that okay?
- 17:40Speaker 2: And they've been awesome and so like they keep it.
- 17:43Speaker 2: My dad like when my mom has to use their car.
- 17:45Speaker 2: My dad plays like paddle tennis tournaments and like it's
- 17:48Speaker 2: on like the tennis club team. So all of his
- 17:50Speaker 2: boys like get in our van and like Blair music,
- 17:55Speaker 2: do the sliding door. So's at paddle at paddle Yeah,
- 17:58Speaker 2: And they intimidate like.
- 17:59Speaker 4: An nicely, you can sleep in the van. You guys
- 18:01Speaker 4: are like beds.
- 18:02Speaker 12: No, it's not like we got there.
- 18:04Speaker 4: We passenger. Ohh so it's like a I know what
- 18:07Speaker 4: you mean, a sprinter kind of. We've put some miles
- 18:09Speaker 4: on that baby.
- 18:10Speaker 2: We've had some some scary moment.
- 18:12Speaker 12: Got it robbed in l A. Really we finished the
- 18:15Speaker 12: tour did in LA. We were staying in an apartment
- 18:18Speaker 12: building and we got to park it in the lot
- 18:22Speaker 12: and literally the first day off we had after the tour,
- 18:24Speaker 12: we get up, get down to the van and we're
- 18:26Speaker 12: so excited, we're gonna run around La. Whatever windows cracked open.
- 18:31Speaker 1: That's the LA experience. Did you really go to l
- 18:33Speaker 1: A if you didn't get your van robbed?
- 18:34Speaker 3: Though? I that's kind of a right of pass.
- 18:36Speaker 12: It feels bucketless. See, he was like, you need to have.
- 18:39Speaker 4: That hav It really sucks like the underdog you go.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Now, you guys like the underdogs.
- 18:43Speaker 7: You're over there, you know, yes.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Yeah, we're what what did they take? What kind of
- 18:49Speaker 1: ship did they take?
- 18:50Speaker 3: Gear?
- 18:50Speaker 12: I mean yeah, not every not all the gear, but
- 18:53Speaker 12: a lot of gear.
- 18:53Speaker 7: It was tough.
- 18:54Speaker 12: Literally the tour was over, so it kind of was
- 18:56Speaker 12: okay that we could like replace it.
- 18:59Speaker 3: It wasn't like we had insurance and ship on that.
- 19:01Speaker 12: We we got it all worked out.
- 19:02Speaker 17: It was funny because like we had so many guitars
- 19:04Speaker 17: and keyboards and all this, but the job seemed so rushed.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yeah, like they just took on the top. So they
- 19:10Speaker 2: took all of our cables and like and it was
- 19:15Speaker 2: like like they got some stuff too, Like they got it.
- 19:18Speaker 17: They got an acoustic guitar that was so like we
- 19:21Speaker 17: really loved and like a synthesizer and it's just like
- 19:23Speaker 17: a shoot.
- 19:24Speaker 4: But it's some good disguising though. There was We kept
- 19:27Speaker 4: all of our microphone stands in a.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Guitar case, and I know some dude was just lugging
- 19:31Speaker 2: that super heavy bag being like we got a crazy.
- 19:36Speaker 4: And it's just all extents.
- 19:37Speaker 3: It's weird. How like I get robbed constantly.
- 19:41Speaker 12: We'll comment then on other videos like how did these
- 19:43Speaker 12: guys not get mugged?
- 19:44Speaker 4: Every day I get I get ship I get ships
- 19:47Speaker 4: stolen from my apartment that like shit that I get
- 19:49Speaker 4: like packages like weekly. In fact, there's always yeah, it's always.
- 19:53Speaker 4: It's always weird what they select. They all they never
- 19:57Speaker 4: get Like I had a poster that got stolen, Like
- 20:00Speaker 4: what out of all the packages, Why is that that
- 20:02Speaker 4: what the one that weighs one pound? People who Yeah
- 20:06Speaker 4: decorated as well? Yeah exactly, I guess that's true. They
- 20:09Speaker 4: gotta fucking put the poster up on the sidewalk.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Bap it to the ground.
- 20:14Speaker 1: When you guys went on tour, were you hitting Like
- 20:16Speaker 1: was it major cities or was it like like po
- 20:19Speaker 1: dunk little like towns like that?
- 20:20Speaker 14: Was it?
- 20:21Speaker 12: We hit the major cities?
- 20:22Speaker 3: Last war we did.
- 20:22Speaker 12: We opened for that band Neon Trees, like you know
- 20:24Speaker 12: the song Everybody Talks.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, they were like.
- 20:27Speaker 12: Doing their comeback tour very randomly, and they had us
- 20:30Speaker 12: come because the lead singer is a fan of ours,
- 20:31Speaker 12: and that was really fun because they're like very season
- 20:34Speaker 12: they've been doing it for like twenty years. Okay, so
- 20:36Speaker 12: we kind of just followed them around. They're playing pretty
- 20:38Speaker 12: big rooms.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Like yeah, still, how does that go with with opening
- 20:42Speaker 4: up with music? Do you just fucking like are people
- 20:45Speaker 4: are people like pumped that like there's music happening already
- 20:48Speaker 4: or are they kind of just like where the funck is?
- 20:49Speaker 12: It depends? It's yeah, it's split thing. I I'm the
- 20:52Speaker 12: guy that hates the opener. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I fucking
- 20:56Speaker 12: hate that ship. Yeah, but I guess I should flip
- 20:59Speaker 12: that a little bit because I should have some empathy
- 21:01Speaker 12: for us.
- 21:02Speaker 1: But I've seen openers where they're like self aware, where
- 21:04Speaker 1: they'll be like like they'll like have a song about
- 21:07Speaker 1: being the opening act and like that nobody came to
- 21:09Speaker 1: see us necessarily.
- 21:10Speaker 4: It's like kind of kind of well, it's usually it's
- 21:12Speaker 4: just a miling end still exactly. Yeah, lights are still on.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Like with the opener for comedy, it's hit or miss.
- 21:18Speaker 12: Sometimes the crowd is really fun and into it, and
- 21:21Speaker 12: like we open them for Clara and Europe a long
- 21:24Speaker 12: time ago, and like, hell, yeah, we're just amazing Europe.
- 21:28Speaker 7: I was that.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Where'd you guys go in Europe?
- 21:29Speaker 3: Everywhere?
- 21:30Speaker 12: Like literally got a not a free but a quick,
- 21:33Speaker 12: easy pass around all of Europe.
- 21:34Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 21:35Speaker 12: For three weeks, it was amazing. It was really really cool,
- 21:38Speaker 12: And yeah, those those fans are insane. And then obviously,
- 21:42Speaker 12: like for us, in New York is our favorite spot.
- 21:43Speaker 12: We just love playing here.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Does the headlining act determine the fee that you guys
- 21:49Speaker 3: get the venue?
- 21:51Speaker 12: A lot of time musicians and business don't don't doubt
- 21:55Speaker 12: they even knew what we got paid. They don't.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of times it's also like a set rate.
- 21:58Speaker 2: It's sort of like especially with a Clara tour and
- 22:01Speaker 2: then also the Tree Store, like the opportunity to play
- 22:03Speaker 2: in front of all those people is so great, so
- 22:05Speaker 2: you're not really worried about I mean, it's sort of
- 22:07Speaker 2: like a flat ray every night of a certain show.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Live Nation just started doing this thing. We were finishing
- 22:12Speaker 2: our tour where like like they did this Willie Nelson
- 22:15Speaker 2: themed like whatever, some sort of like promo. So they
- 22:19Speaker 2: would give every artist who played a certain level of venue,
- 22:21Speaker 2: which was like a thousand capacity or something, whether you're opening,
- 22:24Speaker 2: whether you were headlining, whatever, they give you seven hundred
- 22:27Speaker 2: and fifty bucks a night in cash and seven hundred
- 22:29Speaker 2: and fifty bucks a night and gas money on top
- 22:31Speaker 2: of whatever else you are already getting.
- 22:33Speaker 3: So we were like heard about these.
- 22:35Speaker 2: We were riding around with like four k and just
- 22:37Speaker 2: straight shell gas just like plummeting through.
- 22:40Speaker 4: That's a shit ton of gas.
- 22:42Speaker 12: Crazy, you have like a stack so much trapped in
- 22:45Speaker 12: a rubber bandage of shell cards.
- 22:46Speaker 3: That's crazy. We just opened for Matt Friend at the
- 22:48Speaker 3: Grammarcy theater and it was a live Nation show and
- 22:50Speaker 3: he his pay was in gas. Literally that's really crazy us.
- 22:54Speaker 12: It was insane.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Shout out Matt friend real quick. You know him impression, Yeah,
- 22:59Speaker 4: he's His impressions are so good.
- 23:03Speaker 12: Yeah, the victory of like TikToker to Red Carpet.
- 23:07Speaker 4: Yeah, oscars on Sunday, he'll be on the Red Carpet.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah he will be.
- 23:11Speaker 15: He'll be interviewing Killian Murphy. Yeah, he'll do like he'll
- 23:14Speaker 15: like try to do a killing.
- 23:15Speaker 12: It was Jeff Goldbloom.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, he'll just Stanley to the Jeff.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Yeah. The Jeff Goldbloom is one of the face.
- 23:21Speaker 4: I've like, I've known him for a while from just
- 23:23Speaker 4: stand up and then I was watching I was like
- 23:26Speaker 4: New Year's Eve. I was watching TV, and then all
- 23:27Speaker 4: of a sudden he was like on the main channel
- 23:30Speaker 4: doing impressions for the fucking people. Seacrests Yeah yeah, and
- 23:34Speaker 4: Seacrest is just wasted out of his mind, like it's
- 23:37Speaker 4: really good, dude, it's really funny.
- 23:39Speaker 3: That sounds just.
- 23:43Speaker 7: Fully ship.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Is he here right now? He doesn't know what an
- 23:49Speaker 4: impression is.
- 23:51Speaker 12: I don't think we ran the years screen uh, live
- 23:54Speaker 12: show this year. We didn't have a TV at the
- 23:55Speaker 12: curve this year.
- 23:57Speaker 4: I don't think it was not missing much.
- 23:59Speaker 12: Yeah, no, I forgot.
- 24:00Speaker 4: The big thing this year was that it struck midnight
- 24:03Speaker 4: and then they panned the camera over to two gay
- 24:04Speaker 4: dudes making out and people were like, no fucking way,
- 24:08Speaker 4: turn that ship off now, how I'm starting my twenty
- 24:11Speaker 4: twenty four.
- 24:12Speaker 1: But they just have no idea that Anderson Cooper and yeah,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and Andy Cohen are gay.
- 24:20Speaker 3: No idea, no idea. I wasn't would have been.
- 24:24Speaker 12: Would see christ just wait every year until in the
- 24:28Speaker 12: years or does he like do other ship?
- 24:29Speaker 3: Like does he don't know?
- 24:30Speaker 4: I've only seen him do New Year's ever.
- 24:32Speaker 3: He's just in the chamber.
- 24:33Speaker 7: He did it.
- 24:34Speaker 12: He was an American idol, right, I never watched him.
- 24:36Speaker 12: I don't think he's doing that anymore. American idol is
- 24:38Speaker 12: like purely on tik talk now.
- 24:40Speaker 2: No, no, I actually watched the first episode a couple
- 24:41Speaker 2: of weeks ago. Oh really, yeah, I really I really
- 24:43Speaker 2: did watch Katy Perry. It's Katy Perry line all of course,
- 24:47Speaker 2: and then my guy who's the other one, Luke Bryan
- 24:49Speaker 2: or something I forget who hosts it though? It's not
- 24:52Speaker 2: Nick Lache. That was the other show. Would love his
- 24:54Speaker 2: blind does Nick?
- 24:56Speaker 4: Well, there's so many of those singing shows now. The
- 24:58Speaker 4: voice is the voice still big, We're still going voice
- 25:01Speaker 4: was good. I used to watch what you guys ever do?
- 25:04Speaker 3: I mean maybe you're probably past past it now, but
- 25:05Speaker 3: would you ever do something like America Scott Talent?
- 25:07Speaker 2: Or was my shit fun enough audition for America Scott Talent?
- 25:11Speaker 2: Like the pre audition audition I did.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I did that.
- 25:13Speaker 4: Yeah, before you actually do it, you go into some
- 25:15Speaker 4: audisial room.
- 25:16Speaker 3: I got passed through.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I played like Ed Sheeran or something. I was like,
- 25:19Speaker 2: let's go, and they were like, yeah, no, it's not
- 25:21Speaker 2: going to work out. And I was like sort of dodgablet.
- 25:24Speaker 2: But I always wonder, like it seems cool. But I
- 25:27Speaker 2: also have heard that like you have to sign like
- 25:29Speaker 2: a crazy deal or whatever, like whatever agt owns you
- 25:32Speaker 2: for the.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Next like six so they own your soul. You have
- 25:34Speaker 1: to go to Bohemian Grove and like watch aliosity has happened.
- 25:38Speaker 3: That's crazy, it's nasty. It was a strange experience when
- 25:42Speaker 3: I did it. Yeah, what was your experience? Scenes from
- 25:44Speaker 3: college and you get there at six thirty in the morning,
- 25:47Speaker 3: and the line is already like four hundred people deep,
- 25:50Speaker 3: and there are families there with you know, twelve aunts
- 25:55Speaker 3: and uncles, parents, grandparents, all for some four your roll
- 26:00Speaker 3: wearing a cheerleading outfit, full makeup, and they're You're like,
- 26:04Speaker 3: are they betting the entire farm a piece of shit?
- 26:10Speaker 4: Girl up, Lucy, I.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Just want and then and then there you get into
- 26:15Speaker 3: this sort of open atrium. I don't know if you
- 26:17Speaker 3: the same thing for you, but like people are warming
- 26:20Speaker 3: up and bonding and and doing their ship. So there's
- 26:23Speaker 3: like a dance circle, and then there's people juggling, and
- 26:27Speaker 3: then there's a couple of singers doing vocal warm ups,
- 26:29Speaker 3: and everybody's very convivial and pretending to root each other on.
- 26:33Speaker 3: But there's like some dancers that are incredible dancing next
- 26:38Speaker 3: to people who you're like, you should leave now, same
- 26:42Speaker 3: time they were dancing with people that are dismissing you
- 26:47Speaker 3: on a talent level.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Surely you're the joke here.
- 26:51Speaker 2: You don't realize it, but you're the comedic crit There's.
- 26:54Speaker 3: So much more paperwork to do, like go home, get
- 26:57Speaker 3: a job at a bodega.
- 26:58Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I mean, it's just I.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Feel like they're probably I feel like some people are
- 27:02Speaker 4: banking on the fact that they're just like a freak, right,
- 27:04Speaker 4: Isn't that like half of America's like to get through
- 27:07Speaker 4: to the some of the people get on yeah, because
- 27:09Speaker 4: they're like, oh, this guy is going to cause a scene.
- 27:12Speaker 12: Let's get it's all like it's all for the entertainment. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:16Speaker 12: if you're good, Like I bet Sore was great, but
- 27:18Speaker 12: it just wasn't. Yeah, They're like, well, he's not going
- 27:20Speaker 12: to I was super puberized.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I was kind of towing the line of the vocal
- 27:24Speaker 2: change going in there, but.
- 27:26Speaker 4: I was they're either looking for some young kid who's
- 27:28Speaker 4: like talented for his age or someone who's gonna like
- 27:31Speaker 4: cry and like we're like William like a.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Veteran, but also that yeah, exactly, little tale something to go.
- 27:42Speaker 12: I think people want juggling.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Quickly, veteran, you know what I mean? Highlight the highlight people.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Every episode they were really trying to find something because
- 27:55Speaker 3: I got passed through the They put you in a
- 27:57Speaker 3: classroom and there's like twelve of you and you each
- 27:59Speaker 3: get a minute or two and after that, people are
- 28:03Speaker 3: like going they're like, we're gonna let you know in
- 28:04Speaker 3: two weeks, and then most of the class filed out
- 28:07Speaker 3: or whatever. When they he grabbed me and one other
- 28:09Speaker 3: guy was like hold on one second, and I actually
- 28:11Speaker 3: thought I was in trouble. I was like, did I
- 28:14Speaker 3: say the N word? My? I surely didn't. And then
- 28:19Speaker 3: and then they get they say like come with me,
- 28:21Speaker 3: and they walk you through to like an actual set,
- 28:26Speaker 3: big cameras and lights, and now it's serious. But before that,
- 28:29Speaker 3: they do like a pre interview where they were like,
- 28:32Speaker 3: on your packet, you wrote down like your favorite person
- 28:35Speaker 3: is your dad or something? Did he ever? You know?
- 28:41Speaker 3: Surely he touched you, like and you overcame that, which
- 28:45Speaker 3: is where your sense of dark humor comes from. And
- 28:48Speaker 3: they want they want cracks or you know, problems or whatever,
- 28:53Speaker 3: and just like you go on with just like some songs, No,
- 28:57Speaker 3: I just did stand up? Did you really?
- 29:00Speaker 9: Uh?
- 29:00Speaker 1: And did you have like what was your plan if
- 29:02Speaker 1: you went on? Because wuldn't you need like a new
- 29:04Speaker 1: like five minutes every time every like every episode, every audition.
- 29:09Speaker 3: This was before barstool and I got went to that
- 29:14Speaker 3: second part of the audition, and this time it was
- 29:16Speaker 3: like there was a camera the size of a you know,
- 29:19Speaker 3: fire hoe. It was huge and uh. And then there
- 29:23Speaker 3: was a panel of like six really official producers sitting
- 29:27Speaker 3: behind a table and a mark. And this time you
- 29:31Speaker 3: had instead of like two minutes, now you had four.
- 29:35Speaker 3: And they were like, come in, and I went in
- 29:38Speaker 3: and I didn't know I had prepared two minutes. Yeah,
- 29:42Speaker 3: so all of a sudden, just same day, I had
- 29:44Speaker 3: to like come up with another two minutes of clean
- 29:46Speaker 3: stuff and I was never going to get farther than that.
- 29:50Speaker 12: It was it like writing stand up. I've always wondered this,
- 29:52Speaker 12: like the process is it.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Just like no, it's app like, yo, that's good, Like yeah,
- 29:56Speaker 4: pretty much from there, Yeah, that's pretty much. That's actually
- 29:59Speaker 4: exactly what it is. You have like a list of
- 30:01Speaker 4: you test it out with, like no, you gotta go,
- 30:04Speaker 4: you gotta go because it doesn't Also any my best jokes,
- 30:07Speaker 4: if I told them to one of you guys right now,
- 30:10Speaker 4: in just like a normal voice and like without a crowd,
- 30:13Speaker 4: you'd be like, no, that's not funny at all.
- 30:14Speaker 7: That sucks.
- 30:16Speaker 12: The worst comedy show. Really, we just like stumbled into one.
- 30:20Speaker 12: Anytime you're stumbling into that. Everyone there was like other
- 30:25Speaker 12: like fellow comedians.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Like yeah yeah, open open mic, open mic.
- 30:30Speaker 12: Yes, yeah. We were probably the only people there to
- 30:33Speaker 12: just watch it.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Was this the Grizzly Pair.
- 30:35Speaker 4: No, I don't want what was it called.
- 30:37Speaker 12: It was in like Hell's Kitchen, I don't know.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Was the Producers Club? Yes, it was really That's where
- 30:43Speaker 4: I started. Yeah, I started there.
- 30:45Speaker 3: It's terrible. That place is a fucking night star jokes,
- 30:52Speaker 3: array of different styles that places.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Were like none fucking like really vulgar. To then someone
- 31:00Speaker 2: doing like sort of notebook jokes trying to find my
- 31:02Speaker 2: person cut like it was all over there.
- 31:05Speaker 4: A dude with like a Mets jersey who's like shit
- 31:08Speaker 4: face out there was a dude with a full it
- 31:10Speaker 4: was like a top Ramen sweater. It was like the
- 31:14Speaker 4: whole hoodie was like.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I've seen that jump shoot.
- 31:18Speaker 12: It was crazy.
- 31:19Speaker 4: It was like a full on.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Was anybody making you laugh? Was there anybody who was like.
- 31:22Speaker 12: There was orthodox Jewish guy That was pretty funny.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Also, it was like situationally funny, Like I think I
- 31:28Speaker 2: respected everybody because they were all characters and they went
- 31:30Speaker 2: out there and like put themselves up there and just
- 31:32Speaker 2: sometimes the couple laughs or the deadness of the room
- 31:35Speaker 2: would just make you laugh anyway.
- 31:36Speaker 1: And that's sometimes it is equally funny watching someone like
- 31:40Speaker 1: each chick kind.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Of that that place.
- 31:42Speaker 4: It's like not, it's like not even like, oh, this
- 31:44Speaker 4: guy's bombing, this is funny. It's like it's so uncomfortably bad.
- 31:49Speaker 1: So how do you overcut? Like how do you get
- 31:51Speaker 1: to the next level?
- 31:53Speaker 4: You just wait for a crowd of people like you
- 31:54Speaker 4: guys to cut Like that was like the only time
- 31:56Speaker 4: I ever got a laugh was when some girl was
- 31:58Speaker 4: doing open and brought like ten friends and I had
- 32:00Speaker 4: like a good set and I left and I was like,
- 32:02Speaker 4: I'm the best to ever do it.
- 32:03Speaker 1: And then how did you book your next Like how
- 32:07Speaker 1: did you have the confidence?
- 32:08Speaker 3: I just had?
- 32:09Speaker 4: Someone I was at I was at the stand for something.
- 32:11Speaker 4: I think I was watching a show there and some
- 32:13Speaker 4: this guy, Jared Schwartz came up to me. It was like,
- 32:15Speaker 4: do you want to do my show?
- 32:16Speaker 3: Oh? Really? Yeah, it takes I've launched you.
- 32:19Speaker 4: We respect you guys though, and then after that it's
- 32:21Speaker 4: just been I mean, it's just been history since then.
- 32:24Speaker 2: It's in the textbooks.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Well, we we've covered stand up, so I think that's
- 32:30Speaker 3: probably all we need to do today. We find you guys.
- 32:39Speaker 4: The Producers Club is hilarious. I can't believe that's where
- 32:41Speaker 4: you guys went. I don't even know how did you guys?
- 32:43Speaker 4: Even I remember I went there for the first time.
- 32:44Speaker 4: I couldn't find it. How did you guys?
- 32:46Speaker 3: Stumble?
- 32:46Speaker 12: We're trying to find a movie theater to screen this documentary.
- 32:49Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, very casually plugging your guys documentary.
- 32:53Speaker 12: We made a documentary about our last album and we're
- 32:55Speaker 12: trying to find somewhere to put it on and like
- 32:57Speaker 12: that wasn't that expensive and that yeah, ended up being prospect.
- 33:00Speaker 12: We didn't end up going there. We found another spot,
- 33:02Speaker 12: but it was a cool spot. And then after we
- 33:04Speaker 12: checked out the theater, we just walked down and stumbled
- 33:06Speaker 12: into it. But yeah, we just did a screening at
- 33:10Speaker 12: like Angelica Village East.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Oh, dude, I'm going I'm going to go see Dune
- 33:14Speaker 3: at the Angelica. Excited about it.
- 33:16Speaker 12: That big rooms. It was one of the smaller like
- 33:19Speaker 12: side rooms.
- 33:20Speaker 3: You have a beer with your movie.
- 33:21Speaker 7: Oh, you can have an I p A with him.
- 33:23Speaker 2: I can't see through the beer with your movie.
- 33:26Speaker 3: You know how to hear Dune's crazy.
- 33:28Speaker 12: I've heard Dune is great for like Dune too is like,
- 33:32Speaker 12: that's what that's for.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Echel I just found out there was a like a
- 33:35Speaker 2: nineteen eighties one.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Yeah, there was like a first one that I Evan
- 33:39Speaker 3: Bake and I.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Think and I was watching like it was like a
- 33:42Speaker 2: TikTok of like the old scene of like the Sandworm
- 33:45Speaker 2: and the new one, and they were like comparing.
- 33:47Speaker 3: The Austin Butler the Sandworm.
- 33:50Speaker 4: No, I think it's Austin Reeves actually.
- 33:55Speaker 12: Sawyers looking like Austin Reeves, I don't.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I think the one that's more spot on is Connor
- 34:00Speaker 2: Roy or earlier Connor Roy from Ferris Bueller's.
- 34:03Speaker 4: Stay Off like that.
- 34:05Speaker 7: I forget his name.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Ferris's friend, Yeah, Cameron, but like the guy's name.
- 34:10Speaker 4: He was in something that I just watched recently, like
- 34:12Speaker 4: and he's older.
- 34:13Speaker 1: He's gotten older. Yeah, as time has passed, he's gotten
- 34:15Speaker 1: older old. Yeah, fucking Jarring.
- 34:19Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to revise. I don't think Kevin Bacon
- 34:22Speaker 3: was in the original Dune. Was Patrick Stewart, Okay Dinging,
- 34:30Speaker 3: cly Sting was in it or maybe he did the soundtrack. Nope,
- 34:33Speaker 3: he's got a character it looks like, and then a
- 34:35Speaker 3: whole bunch of people. I've never heard of a movie
- 34:38Speaker 3: with Kevin Bacon that has worms in the sand? Premer,
- 34:42Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that movie is fucking sweet too.
- 34:46Speaker 3: What is that called?
- 34:47Speaker 7: Might?
- 34:48Speaker 4: I don't think I've seen a single movie with worms
- 34:50Speaker 4: in the sand. Unfortunately, what about Starship Troopers? Doesn't I
- 34:53Speaker 4: have worms in the sand?
- 34:54Speaker 3: It is called did that movie rules? And it does
- 34:58Speaker 3: have Kevin Bacon?
- 35:00Speaker 1: All right, it's just about it's literally about worms in
- 35:02Speaker 1: the sands. That's right about the movie.
- 35:04Speaker 4: Like nineteen.
- 35:06Speaker 2: So young, younger Bacon young, Yeah, hot bacon, hot bacon,
- 35:11Speaker 2: smoking hot, broken.
- 35:13Speaker 3: God.
- 35:15Speaker 1: I've been watching a show called Rome. It came out
- 35:18Speaker 1: like two thousand and four on HBO. But you look
- 35:21Speaker 1: like Brutus from that show. Every time I watch the show.
- 35:24Speaker 1: It doesn't do anything for anyone, but it just has
- 35:26Speaker 1: been weighing on my mind. Every time I watch the show,
- 35:28Speaker 1: I'm like, fucking Sawyer.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Right here you go.
- 35:30Speaker 4: How often do you think about the Roman Empire?
- 35:33Speaker 7: Dude?
- 35:33Speaker 1: I mean now that I'm watching the show, like probably
- 35:35Speaker 1: like twelve times a day.
- 35:36Speaker 4: Crazier understood that trend, never not once thought about it truly.
- 35:42Speaker 4: That was my first time ever thinking about the Roman empact.
- 35:44Speaker 12: I don't even really know what it is.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know anything.
- 35:47Speaker 4: No, everyone's thinking about it. You're probably think about I don't.
- 35:50Speaker 4: You don't know, like a history guy, I like history.
- 35:52Speaker 4: I don't like that period. Why what do you have
- 35:54Speaker 4: against that period?
- 35:55Speaker 3: I don't know. I like later history.
- 35:57Speaker 4: I like America, like I like suits, like machines.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Got boring there in the middle for a while. I
- 36:03Speaker 3: like Jesus Christ and now, oh Jesus Christ time, though
- 36:07Speaker 3: that was exactly Jesus Christ. It might have been. There's
- 36:10Speaker 3: exactly to the to the year.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Jesus Christ's not really in the show, but there's a
- 36:16Speaker 1: look alike though. There's a dude who looks exactly like him,
- 36:19Speaker 1: but he's the King of the Galls, not the King
- 36:22Speaker 1: of the Jews.
- 36:23Speaker 12: I don't know, like, is it like a Game of
- 36:25Speaker 12: Thrones vibe or it is?
- 36:26Speaker 3: But it's like it's the real story of the fall
- 36:29Speaker 3: of Rome. It's kind of sweet. I've been watching it
- 36:31Speaker 3: on airplanes. Do you guys, Are you guys all single? No,
- 36:35Speaker 3: we're actually all Oh, okay, that's great. I was gonna
- 36:38Speaker 3: say it must be fun to be twenty two years
- 36:41Speaker 3: old riding around in a van with your buddies touring
- 36:45Speaker 3: and you're probably up to your elbows.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Funny enough, you mentioned that there's there's a lot of
- 36:50Speaker 2: there's a lot of actually really specific ra elbow they're
- 36:54Speaker 2: up to.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Your railbowl, up to your elbows.
- 36:56Speaker 2: There's a lot of really specific rules, especially when you
- 36:58Speaker 2: play the college shows about like when you can be
- 37:00Speaker 2: on campus where you can be getting off at a
- 37:02Speaker 2: certain time, because I'm sure they're expect you know what
- 37:05Speaker 2: I mean, Like you're come, four dudes in a van. Yeah,
- 37:08Speaker 2: I can roll away at any time, you know what
- 37:10Speaker 2: I mean. So I also think, I don't know, since
- 37:13Speaker 2: we've been doing it from a young age, I think
- 37:15Speaker 2: we've all just sort of gotten pretty good at maintaining
- 37:19Speaker 2: a level of like, Okay, this is work, and like
- 37:21Speaker 2: these are the fans, and like this could end, especially
- 37:24Speaker 2: when we were like sixteen, like it could just end
- 37:26Speaker 2: poorly crazy if you bridge.
- 37:27Speaker 3: That line too. As healthy as fuck.
- 37:29Speaker 2: I think I think it's worked.
- 37:30Speaker 4: Out for the best crazy shits.
- 37:31Speaker 3: That's not the Beacon. I know, how Francis. You guys
- 37:37Speaker 3: really love Beacon.
- 37:38Speaker 2: In the rear view Virgin Bay drugs, money, keeping this
- 37:41Speaker 2: chastity belt on until when a grammy.
- 37:44Speaker 4: I think you have a warped perspective of like being
- 37:47Speaker 4: twenty two. I think if you went back and was
- 37:49Speaker 4: twenty and you were twenty two, I don't think you
- 37:50Speaker 4: would be like fucking every single night.
- 37:52Speaker 3: But he even talks to each other for yourself.
- 37:55Speaker 4: Every time we go on the road tip with together,
- 37:56Speaker 4: He's like, I can't believe you're not here, just fucking
- 37:58Speaker 4: pussy all.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Oh. When I was twenty two, I had to keep
- 38:03Speaker 3: I had to raise my elbows. That's how up to
- 38:05Speaker 3: my elbow it was. I was like, like you you
- 38:09Speaker 3: you that's sad.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Also, like like I feel like everybody who have been like, oh,
- 38:14Speaker 2: you're kind of cute. It's the being like yo, merrily
- 38:17Speaker 2: we snore, I look.
- 38:22Speaker 3: And do that. It picked up our van. This was
- 38:25Speaker 3: like four days ago. Five days ago.
- 38:26Speaker 15: We were driving We just picked up some new merch
- 38:28Speaker 15: from like the guy that makes our T shirts. We
- 38:30Speaker 15: were just sitting at a red light and a girl
- 38:32Speaker 15: comes in like slams on the window and she goes,
- 38:35Speaker 15: you guys are so funny, and she just runs away
- 38:38Speaker 15: and then Jude looks in the rear view mirror and
- 38:40Speaker 15: she had gotten out of her car.
- 38:42Speaker 3: No shit, that's crazy.
- 38:45Speaker 15: And then later we got a DM from her being like,
- 38:48Speaker 15: by the way, I was the girl that got out
- 38:49Speaker 15: of my car to say, how do you love your
- 38:51Speaker 15: music too?
- 38:52Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 38:52Speaker 2: Just like, oh my god, when she just stay safe cool.
- 38:56Speaker 4: I never had that happen you guys, Yeah, dropped the
- 39:00Speaker 4: should have popped the road car when the come on
- 39:04Speaker 4: in all of us, I would have.
- 39:06Speaker 12: Started a relationship with our boy our boys guy on
- 39:09Speaker 12: who's behind the camera. He was like, what is it
- 39:11Speaker 12: like being a b less celebrity? I was like, we
- 39:13Speaker 12: are not.
- 39:13Speaker 4: We're like like l list.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Yeah, alphabet for sure.
- 39:18Speaker 12: Then we were we were having a debate about this.
- 39:20Speaker 12: I wanted to bring this up because he was like,
- 39:22Speaker 12: I was like, who's bless or who's a liss? And
- 39:24Speaker 12: he said Timothy Shallow is a list and I thought,
- 39:26Speaker 12: I agree. I think that's that's spot. I feel like
- 39:30Speaker 12: a dating car down you have to have like a tenure.
- 39:33Speaker 4: I judge a less based on if my parents know
- 39:36Speaker 4: who they are not okay, I like.
- 39:37Speaker 3: That A list to me is like the brad Pitts
- 39:40Speaker 3: of the world.
- 39:40Speaker 1: I feel like Brad Pitt is the first name you say,
- 39:42Speaker 1: but is he is he aging out of it?
- 39:44Speaker 4: Though? Legacy?
- 39:45Speaker 12: He's like a list implies a legacy, is there a
- 39:49Speaker 12: you have to make room for new people because when
- 39:52Speaker 12: we were kids, you know what I mean?
- 39:53Speaker 4: So this is the new A list like Timmy is new,
- 39:56Speaker 4: A list like Brad Pitt was when you were born?
- 39:58Speaker 3: You know?
- 39:58Speaker 4: Else is like is it only actors?
- 40:01Speaker 7: Him is up there?
- 40:03Speaker 12: Me It's like it's like Oprah.
- 40:05Speaker 3: It's like you.
- 40:08Speaker 7: Got to keep it elade.
- 40:10Speaker 3: I don't even think.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Celebrity ranking. What about any president? Any president is definitely
- 40:17Speaker 4: a list. I don't think I would say open because
- 40:19Speaker 4: I don't even know if my little sisters would know
- 40:21Speaker 4: Oprah they are.
- 40:22Speaker 3: That's true Taylor Taylor's a yeah, definitely. But I was.
- 40:26Speaker 4: I was on the side like of doing the music.
- 40:29Speaker 2: I teach like music lessons to little kids, like on
- 40:32Speaker 2: a g T exactly like the Little Exceller Farm for
- 40:34Speaker 2: the kids. And I was like, okay, we could sing, yeah,
- 40:38Speaker 2: like they wanted they want to bed at all. I
- 40:41Speaker 2: was like, oh, we could sing like a Bruno Mars
- 40:42Speaker 2: song and they were.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Like, who's that?
- 40:44Speaker 1: And I was like, no, my God, I agree, aging
- 40:48Speaker 1: out like might be d list. The stop bro't on
- 40:54Speaker 1: his name.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Bruno Mars being a list is when he had that
- 40:57Speaker 4: song where he talked about the one we talked about
- 41:00Speaker 4: having really nice sex and it.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Would ruin every is like yeah, lazy day, really nice girl.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Would be in the car with my mom and that
- 41:14Speaker 4: song would come on.
- 41:15Speaker 17: I went to Chile on that time. Everyone there was
- 41:18Speaker 17: obsessed with that song. Yeah, they recreated the music video
- 41:22Speaker 17: with their buddies.
- 41:23Speaker 4: They were it's a really nice sex with their buddies.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Good song.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Yeah, has music in Japan right now. He's like doing
- 41:31Speaker 1: like a her thing in Japan now. Yeah, he was
- 41:37Speaker 1: like Cam, Yeah, that's sucking.
- 41:39Speaker 4: That's a list.
- 41:40Speaker 12: I don't think he shows it off.
- 41:41Speaker 3: He's not like he's not flashy son of a boy
- 41:44Speaker 3: dad like.
- 41:46Speaker 12: Running. Where was Rihanna the other day? Did you guys
- 41:49Speaker 12: see that was at that wedding to play a wedding
- 41:52Speaker 12: and it.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Looked so off, like.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Was this Rihanna?
- 41:59Speaker 1: Yeah for the the richest guy in India Uckerberg, I've
- 42:04Speaker 1: pulled up Yes, Wow, they're just posted.
- 42:08Speaker 4: That's crazy that when you get that famous, you're still
- 42:10Speaker 4: doing like corporate gigs.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I mean seven million is seven million million dollar question.
- 42:16Speaker 4: How much money do you think Rihanna has that? You
- 42:17Speaker 4: think that even is like he's a billionaire. She's probably
- 42:20Speaker 4: making seven million dollars a show anyway. Oh yeah, and
- 42:22Speaker 4: the fancy stuff I bet is just pulling tons of Yeah.
- 42:26Speaker 3: Is that your idea?
- 42:26Speaker 4: Is that your I think I think that's what.
- 42:28Speaker 2: So did you see Little TJ did a bot miss
- 42:29Speaker 2: for the other day, No, bar Mitzvah. It's great. It's
- 42:32Speaker 2: an awesome video. This kid like comes out with TJ
- 42:35Speaker 2: like it's like an NBA entrance and they start like
- 42:38Speaker 2: get they get on stage, he's like his DJ.
- 42:40Speaker 3: It's great.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I wonder what that bag is like for TJ? What
- 42:42Speaker 1: kind of what kind of bags?
- 42:43Speaker 4: Does he get him a good amount of money?
- 42:45Speaker 3: Fifty bar mitzva bags? I think.
- 42:47Speaker 12: I think he opened with FN and just came out.
- 42:49Speaker 2: With I have no idea what songs they ran. I
- 42:51Speaker 2: don't know if it was a clean version or they
- 42:53Speaker 2: did like sort of a tour a portion to make
- 42:56Speaker 2: it fit with the theme.
- 42:57Speaker 4: But I would be dying to do a bar mitzvah,
- 42:59Speaker 4: like a real solid bouncy cast.
- 43:01Speaker 12: We want to be like the guys, like the word

- 43:36Speaker 12: Sweeneye is swee.
- 43:40Speaker 4: Firmly entrenched in beat. Sweenie is definitely at a way

- 44:08Speaker 2: that and he was like, oh, the basketball player guy.
- 44:11Speaker 4: I forgot about I forgot about the proves that he's
- 44:13Speaker 4: be because your dad.
- 44:14Speaker 12: Knows if he's in a movie, he's a you can't
- 44:17Speaker 12: name a Jack Carlow song, like, we can't.
- 44:19Speaker 3: What's popping?
- 44:20Speaker 2: He's so community He'll give you the first four bars
- 44:23Speaker 2: what's popping? Like it sounds like you just have a
- 44:26Speaker 2: cool ass, Dad. I don't think on the paddle court
- 44:28Speaker 2: like said this new Harlow K, Yeah, that's not Jack Man.
- 44:31Speaker 18: He just went into his lyrical bag man. You like
- 44:35Speaker 18: he can spit like this little ship pail tech on
- 44:38Speaker 18: the last I know he had bars, but it's just
- 44:41Speaker 18: like and he's friends with Tyler Herro.
- 44:42Speaker 2: I mean it's great.
- 44:44Speaker 4: I don't know if my dad would know who Jack
- 44:46Speaker 4: Harlow or Tyler hero are.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Zeros heroes.
- 44:51Speaker 12: Jack Carlow he hit us up recently too. Really, sy
- 44:54Speaker 12: what you said to your dad when you were gonna
- 44:56Speaker 12: tell him that Jack.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Arl Okay, So yeah, we got a d M from
- 44:58Speaker 2: Jack Carloge just being like, I think you guys are funny.
- 45:01Speaker 2: We were freaking out. We love Jack and I was
- 45:03Speaker 2: I like, my parents live in Connecticut. So I took
- 45:05Speaker 2: the train and I hopped in the car. My dad
- 45:07Speaker 2: picked me up from the transition. It's like, Dad, guess
- 45:09Speaker 2: who hit us up? And he was like Drake And
- 45:10Speaker 2: I was like, no, that already happened. And he was like, man,
- 45:12Speaker 2: you got to take advantage of that Drake thing. Man, Like,
- 45:15Speaker 2: we're moving on, working on it. We're working on working
- 45:17Speaker 2: on it.
- 45:18Speaker 4: And then I was like, no, keep going and he
- 45:19Speaker 4: was like, I forget who else he said that.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I was like, no, your favorite white basketball player and
- 45:23Speaker 2: he was like Brian Scalabrini and I was like really.
- 45:27Speaker 2: He was like no, like fake and he was like, oh,
- 45:29Speaker 2: Jack Harlowe and I was like and I was like yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 2: It was saying he's like, man, you guys got to
- 45:33Speaker 2: like open for him or something like you got it,
- 45:35Speaker 2: got to take advantage of this opportunity.
- 45:37Speaker 4: That's that's my parents used to do that exact same thing.
- 45:40Speaker 4: It's like big person would reach out and they'd like, so,
- 45:42Speaker 4: are you guys gonna work and I'm like, they don't
- 45:44Speaker 4: even they said, hello, they're not going to work together.
- 45:47Speaker 4: I was like nineteen or eighteen and like Cody co
- 45:50Speaker 4: and Noel Miller, I met them and they were like,
- 45:52Speaker 4: so are you working for them now? And I was like, wow,
- 45:55Speaker 4: no scenario. Am I working with them?
- 45:58Speaker 2: It was a five minute.
- 46:01Speaker 12: Sonny's just looking at He's like our business manager, pseudo.
- 46:04Speaker 4: He's great, he can't not.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:05Speaker 4: My dad has been sort of like our interim.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Because we we were in high school, like very we
- 46:09Speaker 2: had a major label, We had a business manager. We
- 46:11Speaker 2: had all this stuff, and then the label game is
- 46:14Speaker 2: basically just like they make their money from the Drakes
- 46:16Speaker 2: and the Dua Lipas of the world. So if you
- 46:18Speaker 2: don't like hit a certain level, they kind of are like,
- 46:20Speaker 2: we're gonna move on. So when that happened, we like
- 46:22Speaker 2: got dropped from our label. Our business management team dropped us.
- 46:25Speaker 2: And my dad is like an accountant, he's been like
- 46:28Speaker 2: his whole life, and he's sort of At first I
- 46:30Speaker 2: was like, can you help it. He's like, I don't know,
- 46:31Speaker 2: maybe I'll do it. And now he's like so into it,
- 46:34Speaker 2: Like he was pretending, like he was like maybe thinking
- 46:36Speaker 2: like it might not be the best idea, but now
- 46:38Speaker 2: he's like, man, we could get like some sort of
- 46:40Speaker 2: like crowdfunding, like sort of crypto, Like you guys don't
- 46:44Speaker 2: need a label, Like we could fund this whole thing ourselves.
- 46:47Speaker 3: He's great. I'm sure your dad's great. I would caution
- 46:51Speaker 3: you about getting in bed with a father bands as management.
- 46:58Speaker 3: There is a law long history in the music industry.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Jackson five, I was thinking I was going right away,
- 47:05Speaker 3: I was going, problem, Yeah, your dad said, talked about crypto.
- 47:10Speaker 4: And actually mister Jackson was early on a crypto.
- 47:14Speaker 3: Where he had some paperwork with your dad, son, you
- 47:19Speaker 3: let me take a.
- 47:20Speaker 2: Blinking twice everyone, I'm blinking.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Twice because I went to four days of law school.
- 47:26Speaker 4: Story did you did you do a musical theater?
- 47:29Speaker 7: Yeah? I was.
- 47:30Speaker 4: That's how I actually so.
- 47:31Speaker 2: I'm from New Orleans originally, and I moved here like
- 47:34Speaker 2: because I was obsessed with doing like Broadway or like
- 47:37Speaker 2: thinking about being on Broadway.
- 47:38Speaker 4: I came to vacation to New York like every summer
- 47:40Speaker 4: to see a play.
- 47:41Speaker 2: I saw Shrek the Musical like four times in a row,
- 47:44Speaker 2: like made my parents get me the little ears and
- 47:46Speaker 2: everything in the shirt. And then one time I came
- 47:48Speaker 2: up to see Newsy's I was obsessed with. And I
- 47:51Speaker 2: auditioned for like an open call of Matilda the Musical
- 47:54Speaker 2: in twenty twelve, and like three months later, after like
- 47:57Speaker 2: a couple of callbacks, they were like, you're You're in.
- 47:59Speaker 2: You're gonna be like an understudy slash alternate. You'll go
- 48:02Speaker 2: on twice a week out of the eight shows, but
- 48:04Speaker 2: you're in if you want to do it, And my
- 48:05Speaker 2: parents were like super hype. I'm an only child. My
- 48:09Speaker 2: dad had an office in New York. They like, I'm
- 48:11Speaker 2: so grateful they moved everything around so I could move
- 48:13Speaker 2: up here. I was going to go back to New
- 48:15Speaker 2: Orleans after doing the show for a year and a half.
- 48:17Speaker 2: And then I kept.
- 48:18Speaker 4: Booking little theater like either readings or like little.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Shows and stuff, and then I did I did Finding
- 48:24Speaker 2: Neverland with the big bad Harvey Weinstein.
- 48:27Speaker 12: Which I oh, I didn't know you were going to
- 48:29Speaker 12: go there.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Oh well, I mean, I just got I gotta say
- 48:31Speaker 2: it because I feel like if I don't mention it,
- 48:33Speaker 2: people will be like, he's not yeah exactly.
- 48:36Speaker 3: Why didn't he say anything?
- 48:38Speaker 4: Everyone was thinking, yeah, exactly exactly. But no, I just
- 48:43Speaker 4: hadn't said it, har Weinstein. I mean, he's bad and
- 48:47Speaker 4: he's just a large He didn't Harvey Weinstein produce Finding
- 48:50Speaker 4: Neverland in twenty fourteen?
- 48:51Speaker 3: Why didn't he mention that?
- 48:53Speaker 4: Didn't you say anything?
- 48:54Speaker 2: Should stay silent on the issue part of an abuser's show.
- 49:00Speaker 4: Day Close associates with Harvey win.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I just kept doing shows and then and
- 49:09Speaker 2: then once I went to high school, it was kind
- 49:11Speaker 2: of like I met Jude on the first day. We
- 49:13Speaker 2: were wearing the Adidas nmds, not the hype ones with
- 49:16Speaker 2: like the red and blue little pockets, like just the
- 49:18Speaker 2: general these ones. And then I was sort of kind
- 49:21Speaker 2: of like doing theater and I got really anxious because
- 49:25Speaker 2: like my voice was not like a little kid's voice anymore,
- 49:27Speaker 2: and I was trying to sing like all this crazy
- 49:29Speaker 2: stuff like Deer of Enhance all these shows that are
- 49:31Speaker 2: just like insane. Skyvone laughs because we we we joke
- 49:34Speaker 2: about it. And then eventually I was just kind of
- 49:36Speaker 2: like to my parents, I had gotten rejected from a
- 49:38Speaker 2: bunch of shows, did a bunch of auditions. I was
- 49:39Speaker 2: kind of like, I really want to try this band
- 49:41Speaker 2: thing and like write my own songs. And they were like,
- 49:43Speaker 2: I don't know, You've done so much. And then as
- 49:45Speaker 2: we kept going and they kept coming to shows, they
- 49:47Speaker 2: were like, oh, okay, I see that you are passionate
- 49:50Speaker 2: about it and want to do it, so like.
- 49:51Speaker 3: Go go with the winds. Yeah yeah, yeah, chick story.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's wild from New Orleans, easy to New York.
- 49:58Speaker 4: It's all fate completely on a whim.
- 50:00Speaker 12: Like Henry and Henry have the same birthday, coincident, and
- 50:04Speaker 12: our dads have the same name.
- 50:05Speaker 3: What that's That's all we can say. About you guys, Yeah,
- 50:08Speaker 3: saying like.
- 50:11Speaker 12: I'm just thinking of fate and just like universe, the
- 50:14Speaker 12: stars are lining for us to be here.
- 50:15Speaker 3: You got Harvey Wins.
- 50:19Speaker 4: Right hand man.
- 50:20Speaker 3: You born on the same day. They're both scorpios. Fuck
- 50:22Speaker 3: that you're a little deeper.
- 50:26Speaker 4: Both pisces were very, very emotional, very creative.
- 50:30Speaker 1: And how and you you do you do some of
- 50:32Speaker 1: your own music? I know you do some of your
- 50:34Speaker 1: own music too, that's how research? Yeah, wrong, bro, what
- 50:37Speaker 1: the fuck? Very play with me?
- 50:39Speaker 2: I was like, I was like fourteen, and I got
- 50:41Speaker 2: garage band and I was doing the theater, and I
- 50:43Speaker 2: would like do acapella songs, like I'd sing the top
- 50:45Speaker 2: line and then I'd sing the bass and I'd sing
- 50:47Speaker 2: the drums and like play.
- 50:49Speaker 4: A little guitar. What on hard on TikTok? What have
- 50:52Speaker 4: like acapella? Fourteen year old me?
- 50:54Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 50:54Speaker 4: Sure would would have been like this kid's the future, Yeah,
- 50:57Speaker 4: exactly them on America's Got Talent.
- 51:00Speaker 3: It would have been on Ellen really quick. I saw
- 51:03Speaker 3: Matilda with the original cast.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Oh there's a like a thirty percent chance you saw
- 51:09Speaker 2: me then?
- 51:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I was on it every once in a while.
- 51:12Speaker 3: I saw the proper trench Bowl. It was crazy.
- 51:15Speaker 4: He was awesome.
- 51:16Speaker 3: He was so good he kind of stole the show.
- 51:18Speaker 2: No, he used to be his name's Berdie. He's amazing.
- 51:21Speaker 2: He just won like an Olivier or some award.
- 51:23Speaker 3: Or I don't know.
- 51:24Speaker 4: But he used to be like a method actor, where
- 51:26Speaker 4: like he'd be backstage like in that thing.
- 51:29Speaker 2: So if you were like screaming or like being like
- 51:31Speaker 2: an annoying, like twelve year old, like he would like
- 51:33Speaker 2: snap at you.
- 51:34Speaker 4: Yeah, just started yelling.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Also, all the creative team, they were all British, so
- 51:37Speaker 2: they were like and the show had done really well
- 51:39Speaker 2: in London, so when we came over, like I moved
- 51:42Speaker 2: to New York.
- 51:43Speaker 4: We started rehearsal the next week.
- 51:44Speaker 2: There were kids in it who were playing the younger kids,
- 51:46Speaker 2: and there were adults who were supposed to be like
- 51:47Speaker 2: the older school kids if you remember, and like the
- 51:51Speaker 2: little kids were called in two weeks ahead of everyone
- 51:54Speaker 2: else to do Stamma nut training, which is basically just
- 51:57Speaker 2: like all the kids running in.
- 51:58Speaker 12: Circles, singing, grooming.
- 52:02Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. I got screamed out so many times.
- 52:06Speaker 3: It's a dude that plays I thought it was like mistunchbl.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Yes, yes, it plays the woman he's in like this
- 52:14Speaker 2: crazy kind of like fat suit with like these huge
- 52:17Speaker 2: tits and like.
- 52:18Speaker 1: This like like swings this girl around. It's insane and
- 52:22Speaker 1: like the bun and like the why is a woman
- 52:24Speaker 1: not playing that? They just couldn't like put out a
- 52:25Speaker 1: cast and call for like a misdoubt.
- 52:27Speaker 3: Fire type shit.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it is very missed out fire sort of in
- 52:30Speaker 2: that realm. Also, like there's a lot of like there's
- 52:32Speaker 2: a part where he has to like pick this girl
- 52:35Speaker 2: up by her pigtails, like her by her hair and
- 52:37Speaker 2: like swing her around. So like they had to have
- 52:40Speaker 2: someone who could like literally like fling this girl around.
- 52:43Speaker 2: So there was really not that a woman couldn't do that,
- 52:45Speaker 2: but it was actually they actually it was like a
- 52:47Speaker 2: harnessed attached to.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Her with I'm giving you away all the secrets. Yes,
- 52:51Speaker 4: yes see you guys so a family the upper ups.
- 52:56Speaker 3: No idea exacts. Ever seen those dudes before?
- 53:00Speaker 4: I think Kat Williams getting all pissed about dudes wearing addresses?
- 53:03Speaker 12: Yeah, he should start a beefing Williams fan.
- 53:07Speaker 3: Are you really? Mic? I am bro?
- 53:10Speaker 12: So stand up?
- 53:10Speaker 5: Are you really about a rep cat pants off? So
- 53:16Speaker 5: I've been waiting for this moment. Actually had a joke. Okay,
- 53:21Speaker 5: not just kidding, but the industry is full of liars, facts, facts, Williams.
- 53:27Speaker 5: I'm gonna pretend to be Williams. The industry is full
- 53:29Speaker 5: of liars. Josh Peck is gay?
- 53:32Speaker 3: No, no, it all out.
- 53:35Speaker 7: No, No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidd I just kidding.
- 53:37Speaker 15: I think you should use this, this opportunity to just
- 53:40Speaker 15: tell Josh Peck what you want to tell him.
- 53:41Speaker 5: Okay, wish cameras, I look at it doesn't in the
- 53:44Speaker 5: middle right with the rash Peck, I'm calling you out.
- 53:47Speaker 7: I need you to say, what's up to me or something?
- 53:53Speaker 15: Call out this guy, honestly massive Josh Peck fan.
- 53:58Speaker 7: Yeah, drink and Josh from Benheimer.
- 54:00Speaker 3: You're gay, so what's up to me? Yeah?
- 54:03Speaker 5: You can call you the fun out your Josh say
- 54:06Speaker 5: hello please. It started with the Amanda Show. I was
- 54:10Speaker 5: like five or something, and I was just Josh was
- 54:15Speaker 5: the best character on it.
- 54:16Speaker 4: You're in love, You're in love?
- 54:18Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it is the man. And then Drake and
- 54:20Speaker 5: Josh came out. I was like, oh, this is fire.
- 54:23Speaker 5: And then you always a Josh, Yeah, I was more
- 54:26Speaker 5: of a Josh.
- 54:26Speaker 3: Everybody's a Josh guy.
- 54:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 54:27Speaker 4: On Drake and Josh, he was a Drake guy, a
- 54:29Speaker 4: Drake guy. Rake was like the cool guy who was getting.
- 54:34Speaker 3: The show.
- 54:34Speaker 15: What the best episode of Drake and Josh you know
- 54:36Speaker 15: the one where they locked they accidentally locked themselves.
- 54:39Speaker 2: In the Yeah, and they they draw the door.
- 54:42Speaker 3: Yeah, they draw the door.
- 54:43Speaker 7: So good.
- 54:45Speaker 19: The one of the best places of the action legendary,
- 54:48Speaker 19: the best displays of acting was that episode where like
- 54:52Speaker 19: Drake and Josh like start having beaf with each other
- 54:55Speaker 19: the witch at the end when like when Drake when
- 54:58Speaker 19: Drake bell is like all wet and stuff and like
- 55:00Speaker 19: and Josh is like, yo, like no, no.
- 55:03Speaker 5: Drake is like yo, like dude, I need you, man,
- 55:06Speaker 5: Like I just I need you. And Josh like has
- 55:08Speaker 5: that moment where he's just like.
- 55:12Speaker 3: So good.
- 55:16Speaker 4: Well, I felt like I was there.
- 55:18Speaker 3: That was crazy. It was like the rekindling of brothers.
- 55:22Speaker 7: Yeah. Then they started playing ping pong. It was good, yo.
- 55:26Speaker 7: And then Oppenheimer you know that's how he booked Yeah,
- 55:29Speaker 7: that's how he booked up. Yeah. I was off that
- 55:31Speaker 7: clip on that scene.
- 55:33Speaker 4: Christopher Nolan saw him and Drake and Josh and said
- 55:36Speaker 4: this guy is gonna be magical one Day's actually a.
- 55:39Speaker 3: Huge David do Brick fan, Right, I forgot about that era.
- 55:46Speaker 4: Can I change this effect kind of quickly? How did
- 55:48Speaker 4: you get into battle rap?
- 55:49Speaker 3: I need to know this. Oh that's a good question.
- 55:52Speaker 4: Getting back to the music real quick, because we are
- 55:54Speaker 4: musicians at heart.
- 55:55Speaker 1: I just uh, when I first went to college, I
- 55:58Speaker 1: enrolled in college and I never liked even rap really
- 56:01Speaker 1: when I was in high school, like, I didn't really
- 56:02Speaker 1: listen to a lot of rap.
- 56:03Speaker 3: I was like listening to John Mayer and Ship like that.
- 56:05Speaker 3: That was kind of my bag.
- 56:07Speaker 4: I know that you guys are locked on John Mayor
- 56:09Speaker 4: as well.
- 56:10Speaker 2: John the Goat Continuum was the one that was the
- 56:14Speaker 2: album is a perfect album, the in.
- 56:16Speaker 4: Repair live video and Steve Jordan and yes, it's really
- 56:22Speaker 4: really good of him.
- 56:23Speaker 7: I forget.
- 56:23Speaker 4: I think it's in New York, but it's.
- 56:24Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 56:25Speaker 15: You know, it's forgetting that guy's name, but it's that
- 56:28Speaker 15: guy who plays the bass like guitar with six strings.
- 56:31Speaker 1: Defender six Yeah, exactly, legends, sorry legend, he's but just
- 56:36Speaker 1: that that was kind of what I enjoyed in high school.
- 56:38Speaker 1: And then we went to high school or then went
- 56:40Speaker 1: to college, started like kind of freestyling, uh, like around
- 56:43Speaker 1: the keg kind of vibe. And then this famous rapper
- 56:46Speaker 1: at the time, this guy named Charles Hamilton, a guy
- 56:48Speaker 1: from Brooklyn, Cane to Penn State, and I had I
- 56:51Speaker 1: was in a play actually where I like freestyle wrapped
- 56:55Speaker 1: and like went out into the crowd people would hold
- 56:57Speaker 1: stuff up and it was a precursor to Hall with
- 56:59Speaker 1: him lowkey the same kind of thing.
- 57:02Speaker 4: And the DJ from that play was.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Like, this guy Charles Hamilton's coming to our campus, Like
- 57:07Speaker 1: he likes to have people up on stage and freestyle,
- 57:09Speaker 1: so he didn't have people up on stage and freestyle.
- 57:11Speaker 3: But I was like kind of waiting all night.
- 57:12Speaker 1: And then afterwards, like I ran into him backstage and
- 57:16Speaker 1: like we got into like a rap battle and it
- 57:18Speaker 1: went on like a world star hip hop the next day,
- 57:21Speaker 1: and I was like, holy fuck, like.
- 57:23Speaker 4: It was and that's all I was trying to do
- 57:25Speaker 4: with it.
- 57:25Speaker 1: But then Battle Rap League started calling me up, and
- 57:29Speaker 1: I started like kind of traveling in my early twenties,
- 57:31Speaker 1: like traveling the world doing like battle rap and shit
- 57:33Speaker 1: like that.
- 57:35Speaker 4: So you realized you were good at it, Like when
- 57:36Speaker 4: you started rehearsing for that play, it was.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Like I could just kind of freestyle and that was
- 57:42Speaker 1: like it was like this kind of free form like
- 57:44Speaker 1: hip hop play, and I was that that was my audition.
- 57:47Speaker 1: Like they didn't like ask me to do anything, but
- 57:49Speaker 1: I was like, I can do this, I can freestyle,
- 57:51Speaker 1: and so they kind of implemented it into the play
- 57:54Speaker 1: and that they had me kind of doing it in
- 57:55Speaker 1: front of the audience every night at the play.
- 57:59Speaker 3: So cool question.
- 58:00Speaker 7: Would you rap battle with Charlie Clips? I?
- 58:03Speaker 3: Uh, I definitely would.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I don't know if I was. I was booked to
- 58:06Speaker 1: battle him like once or twice. It never materialized, and
- 58:09Speaker 1: then I was gonna book him. I was doing like
- 58:11Speaker 1: compliment rap battles and he was dying to do one
- 58:13Speaker 1: of those genius the nicest that's what it was called.
- 58:18Speaker 1: That's the nicest of dudes, just complimenting the ship out
- 58:20Speaker 1: of each other. But you know Charlie Clips, Yeah, I'm
- 58:22Speaker 1: familiar with his work.
- 58:24Speaker 4: He's incredible. He's great.
- 58:25Speaker 3: He's like a genius freestyle.
- 58:26Speaker 7: TikTok for you all the time.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Really for sure.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he's sick, he's uh, he's very talented. You guys
- 58:32Speaker 1: do a little rapping. I feel like, uh, you know
- 58:35Speaker 1: you need you. That's kind of like rapping. That's like
- 58:38Speaker 1: a little like Beastie Boys, like Vibe Vibe, Yeah, yeah,
- 58:41Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 58:42Speaker 2: There was a funny moment, do you remember when we
- 58:44Speaker 2: so we there's this kid band called Imagination Movers. I
- 58:47Speaker 2: shouldn't call him a kid band. They're a band, but
- 58:49Speaker 2: they mostly do like Disney Channel stuff. And there was
- 58:52Speaker 2: a track they did, like a cover album of one
- 58:54Speaker 2: of the songs is called My Favorite Snack, and we
- 58:57Speaker 2: did like a Beasties rendition and Jude does the first
- 58:59Speaker 2: like verse, and then I was in the booth trying
- 59:01Speaker 2: to do the BC Boys impression and I just couldn't
- 59:04Speaker 2: get clean as dude, dude just has that so clean.
- 59:07Speaker 2: I was trying to be like, well, my Favorite Snack
- 59:09Speaker 2: is great, but also just being in the booth and
- 59:13Speaker 2: like seeing you in the control room with the talk
- 59:15Speaker 2: back button, being like that was great. Can we like
- 59:18Speaker 2: you can give me more sort of energy with it?
- 59:21Speaker 2: I feel like you're kind of in the top. And
- 59:22Speaker 2: I was like, I don't have this, bro, I don't
- 59:24Speaker 2: have this.
- 59:24Speaker 3: I think it goes.
- 59:25Speaker 12: It's one of my favorite verses. My snack is a
- 59:28Speaker 12: peanut butter cracker jelly on top. It's really lips smacker.
- 59:32Speaker 2: That I couldn't get that line that line. Jude had
- 59:34Speaker 2: to come in and just just.
- 59:35Speaker 4: Blew it up. That smacker. Yeah, it's hilarious of people
- 59:37Speaker 4: used to listen to that and be like, oh my
- 59:39Speaker 4: fucking god, Oh my god, that's exactly what I like.
- 59:45Speaker 2: Out of the Imagination movie I Eat those two.
- 59:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:48Speaker 12: BC Boys, Yeah, that song you Know you Need Unique
- 59:51Speaker 12: New York was definitely a BC Boys homage, and we
- 59:55Speaker 12: did this whole video where we like ran around the
- 59:58Speaker 12: city and just got people to say that phrase. Like
- 1:00:01Speaker 12: we would just cold go up to people be like, hey,
- 1:00:02Speaker 12: we're sitting a video, can you just say you.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: Know you need I just watched this video.
- 1:00:06Speaker 12: Yeah, and then the whole video is like chopped up
- 1:00:08Speaker 12: where it's all these different New Yorkers, like every word
- 1:00:11Speaker 12: is a different person. And that was really fun.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: It was really cool. You taught it to two kids
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: that I think they were standing near a hot dog
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: cart or something like that. Yeah, okay, and this is
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: really weird, but yesterday, for the first time, I've lived
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: in New York for twelve years and for the first
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: time in my life. I got off the subway at
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: my in Brooklyn, and as the subway was pulling away,
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: there were two kids standing on the end, on the
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: back on the outside of the train, surfing and like
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: waving at the people on the platform, being like, yo,
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: what's up. And I'm pretty sure those two kids were
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: the two kids in your music. I'm telling you. I
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: saw them in the music video and I was like,
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: those kids were surfing the subway train yesterday.
- 1:00:58Speaker 12: That's so funny. Yeah, it was so fun We did
- 1:01:00Speaker 12: that last summer and we filmed it like for a while,
- 1:01:03Speaker 12: like we didn't want to stop filming it. It was
- 1:01:04Speaker 12: just so fun to just run around. Would just take
- 1:01:07Speaker 12: like four hours a day to just go into different neighborhoods,
- 1:01:10Speaker 12: and we went and it's like every burrow.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: And did it do you guys have like a broad
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: enough sound where you guys can like take so many influences,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Like it's not like that much of a departure to
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: do some like Beastie Boys.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Shit.
- 1:01:21Speaker 12: Yeah, no, it felt natural. And like, honestly, the way
- 1:01:25Speaker 12: we think about it is like we listened to everything,
- 1:01:28Speaker 12: so why wouldn't our music kind of turn into that, like,
- 1:01:32Speaker 12: we're just not interested in being kind of pigeonholed into
- 1:01:35Speaker 12: one sound if we wanted to, I don't think we
- 1:01:37Speaker 12: even could. And it's honestly something we want to like
- 1:01:40Speaker 12: continue to hone in on, but for now, it's like
- 1:01:42Speaker 12: if you listen to our last album, like every song
- 1:01:44Speaker 12: is kind of a different genre. And I know, I'm
- 1:01:47Speaker 12: sure like a lot of people say that, but honestly,
- 1:01:49Speaker 12: for us, it's like not.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Just genres, like different like time periods and shit like that,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Like the NFI Fucked Myself.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: To Love You.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: What's that one called super Love Stupid Love? Oh, that's
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: the drizzy one. Yeah, that's like that sounds like some
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: fucking that sounds like something like uh, it's like like
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: nineties like INSTNCT but like it's like sounds like the
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Batman soundtrack, like so like Seal Like it's it's.
- 1:02:12Speaker 12: Like just recently that I liked it is like we
- 1:02:15Speaker 12: make pop music with R and B melodies, which I
- 1:02:17Speaker 12: thought was kind of cool, but honestly, yeah, it's just
- 1:02:21Speaker 12: it's just everything. I mean, like when we first met,
- 1:02:23Speaker 12: we always talk about twenty sixteen music, like that's what
- 1:02:26Speaker 12: we kind of turned into, and that was I mean
- 1:02:29Speaker 12: that was a lot of rap like Life of Pablo,
- 1:02:31Speaker 12: Kanye West, Birds in the Trap, Travis Scott like, which
- 1:02:34Speaker 12: doesn't really necessarily translate, but like that just was what
- 1:02:37Speaker 12: got us excited. And then what it was like Damn
- 1:02:40Speaker 12: Kendrick Lamar book coloring Book. Uh, I mean yeah, I mean,
- 1:02:46Speaker 12: I guess that's all rap, but like just that that
- 1:02:49Speaker 12: music was like our era, and then we kind of
- 1:02:52Speaker 12: turned it into a more pop thing over time, like
- 1:02:54Speaker 12: even like we were huge, like Brockhampton fans at that time,
- 1:02:57Speaker 12: and even like yeah, that whole rank, yeah exactly. I
- 1:03:02Speaker 12: mean I was trying to think of anybody in that category.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: And then I remember when that nineteen seventy five album
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: came out, What's Brief Your Inquiry? I remember, like you
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: were listening to it when I got to school, and
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: I was like, oh, what's that? And then we all
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: started listening to that and loved that band and they
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: were cool at like he does some like spoken words
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: sort of like auto tuney. It's all becoming one sort
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: of thing. So then we were just trying to especially
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: in the early stages, like trying to mimic and replicate
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: all those other groups and what was great about like
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: broad Canton, for example, was that there were so many
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: people and they'd have like a super rappy song and
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: then they'd have like bear Face doing like whatever, like
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: a ballot. So then we were like, oh, we got
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: to do a guitar.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Kind of ballad thing.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: And then like yeah, back to like how we met,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Like I was doing the acapella tracks. Jude we been
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: on the first day because we were wearing the same shoes,
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: and he was like, I wrote this song for my
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: girlfriend at the time, and I was like putting out
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: my own music on like whatever, like CD baby, just
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: uploading it myself, and he pulled out this project of
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: exactly what I would do, which was like all the
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: awa pella tracks, and I was like, oh, this kid
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: is very similar to me in the way that he
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: thinks about it. So then once we figured out we
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: could make music together and produce it, then it was
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: like what can't we produce together? So we were doing
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: like pop songs like super whatever, like kind of eighties
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: inspired pop stuff or like rap stuff. It was just
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: fun to like get up, like get together and like
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: cook up was what we used to call it, you know,
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: and like it was like hanging out.
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: By the time we were in sophomore year, we would
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: record every single.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Day of the week. That's so fucking like a new
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: song every day.
- 1:04:28Speaker 15: I mean it depends like we So the song that
- 1:04:32Speaker 15: Francis said that he liked was on our first album
- 1:04:35Speaker 15: called Trumpet Boy, and that we worked really hard on.
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: Like it's like fifteen so I could tell, yeah, that
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: was my favorite. Thank You, I Go Deep row knows,
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: the one that Drake knows, I.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: Remember You Go d It's really a surface level kind.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: Of work too, yeah, you know, for Drake at all
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: before Drake Drizzy.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: But it was so much fun, Like we would all
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: come over to my apartment and my tiny little bedroom
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: and I had like the iMac and the little interface
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: and the MIDI keyboard and the electric drum set, and
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: we just like go to town and it was fun
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: to like treat it like we were locking into the
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: stew till like four in the morning. Like we go
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: to the deli twice it like get our little food,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: like do a little walk and then come back and
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: like they're a post if you scroll all the way
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: down to us, like there was one I remember after
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: school on Friday, we like worked from like two to
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: two or whatever, and like like the before and after,
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Like we were obsessed. We joked too that like we
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: had our website and like our first T shirt all
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: like designed before we ever like actually played together as
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: a band. Like we were just so into like the
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: brand and how are we going to make our shows cool?
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: And like how are people going to interact with the
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: website and all that shit. So we were like super
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: inspired by all the guys doing it themselves that we
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: were like, we can do this ourselves too, Like we
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: can make a square Space account and like make a
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: YouTube and like make a custom ink account, and just.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: It's crazy that that you like had that much vision
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: about like the brand and everything. But like one of
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: the things that's making it take off the most is
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: just you guys being like stupid as fuck, singing in
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: your compartment like under a blanket and stuff like that.
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: And I don't want to look shockingly like Andy Samberg.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: You got to be tired of it by now, though, No, Well,
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: I think it's fucking awesome. You need to get some
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: Andy Samberg is the man.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: He's the best.
- 1:06:18Speaker 12: I think it's funny just because I don't see it,
- 1:06:22Speaker 12: but I do understand.
- 1:06:23Speaker 20: That's crazy to not I see it, but it's not
- 1:06:26Speaker 20: like literally people like they're like Socrates, like, yeah, must
- 1:06:31Speaker 20: get have you ever gotten stopped in the street being
- 1:06:33Speaker 20: like are you Andy Samberg?
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: No, really, that's crazy. Nobody like mistakes me for that's crazy.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: I could see that. I could see that happened at.
- 1:06:41Speaker 12: Yeah, it's it's that. It's Robby Shapiro is big, Like
- 1:06:45Speaker 12: we call these the Shapeers. He's got like, yo, you're
- 1:06:49Speaker 12: gonna wear the Shapiers today.
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: Has Andy Samberg reached out.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: To you guys?
- 1:06:54Speaker 12: No, I don't even think he's on Graham. I don't
- 1:06:55Speaker 12: think either, scrolling reels like you guys should do a
- 1:06:57Speaker 12: song with them? That would be sick, Like you got
- 1:07:00Speaker 12: to tread that line though we don't want to get
- 1:07:02Speaker 12: to Yeah, you don't want to get into like but
- 1:07:03Speaker 12: it's fun and we're like what you're saying earlier, we
- 1:07:09Speaker 12: were just saying we would love to do it. I
- 1:07:12Speaker 12: just think the very funny. But I also like we're
- 1:07:18Speaker 12: so stupid on the videos that sometimes it's funny that
- 1:07:21Speaker 12: like that's what people think of us as right now.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Right, it's not almost a revelation come into your music
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: and being like, oh, they're not playing at all.
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: That's what's great about it.
- 1:07:28Speaker 12: Like we I mean I guess throughout this whole talk,
- 1:07:31Speaker 12: like we've kind of established like we've done this, we've
- 1:07:33Speaker 12: been doing this, there's music to discover, and like now
- 1:07:35Speaker 12: that we're bringing people in in this different way and
- 1:07:38Speaker 12: then they can find it on their own.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: Yeah, also just puts more emphasis on I feel like
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: when people complain about whatever, artists having to make tiktoks
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: or having to be on social like it's sort of
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: just an excuse that like they can't find their own
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: way to do it. And I think it's been fun
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: to figure out how we can be funny. But then
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: also like it doesn't it's definitely pressure, but it's like
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: it just means that the music has to be that
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: much better and we just have to keep making good stuff.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: And when people are like I have the best song,
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: but like because of the algorithm, it doesn't get discovered.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: It's just like there are so many amazing artists who
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: I've I found on TikTok you would have never you
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: know what I mean, like random people singing or random
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: artists or whatever. So it's like out bro I mean,
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of like who I'm thinking of even, Like,
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: for example, there's this dude named Elijah Solo.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: I've ever seen this guy.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: He's a guitar player and he plays with his band
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: somewhere literally in Africa, and it's this dude with a
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: TikTok account and he like films them making a song together,
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: and like this guy, now, this guy Elijah has gotten
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: his guitar loop from this TikTok like sampled like whatever,
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: like a hundred thousand times that guy RJ. Paskin who
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: does like stuff like that where it's like, oh, there
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: are people who are genuinely really talented who are coming
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: up through social media, and like when people discredit it
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: by being like it's so dumb or like how's it
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: going to translate?
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: I just think it's not the right take.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: And for us it's always just been like, Okay, now
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: that we have more eyes on us, like just means
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: that the next song's got to be like that much
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: better or like it's got to be that much more engaging.
- 1:09:02Speaker 12: So it's funny like when Ron was telling you guys
- 1:09:05Speaker 12: and you're like, wait, they're a band, Like that's what
- 1:09:07Speaker 12: we want like that's great.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Because I think it's one of the It's like one
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: of the joys of being in a band is like
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: the camaraderie and like fucking around and everything, and it's
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: like sometimes there's this feeling it's like if only people
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: could see like how we are. But now you guys
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: really legitimately have that like in your pocket at all times,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: just like, oh, this is just like how we hang out,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: and it's like your best marketing tool in some ways,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: because people want to root for you because they're like, oh,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: they're the type of people that like, I feel like
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: my friends and I are. It's like this is the
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: kind of way that we hang out or fuck around.
- 1:09:36Speaker 12: We'll say that people are like I some people are
- 1:09:38Speaker 12: like I wish I could be friends with these guys,
- 1:09:40Speaker 12: or I wish I had a friends like this, which
- 1:09:41Speaker 12: is like just so sweet. And then also people are
- 1:09:44Speaker 12: like this is exactly my humor, Like I didn't know
- 1:09:46Speaker 12: other people thought this was funny, And that's kind of
- 1:09:47Speaker 12: how we feel. Like the singing shit, like we just
- 1:09:50Speaker 12: do that every day. You've been doing that for that
- 1:09:52Speaker 12: how long? I remember years. Usually we do it with
- 1:09:55Speaker 12: like our own songs. Where we like change the lyrics
- 1:09:56Speaker 12: and just like make fun of them ourselves. And then
- 1:09:59Speaker 12: it turned into doing it with real songs at any
- 1:10:01Speaker 12: given time, and then we just started filming that and
- 1:10:03Speaker 12: it's just funny that people think it's great because it's just.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: Like what we do. It was the first GOOFY want
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: to pope.
- 1:10:08Speaker 12: That really went stupid.
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: Well, that's a great story. This is a really good story.
- 1:10:13Speaker 12: It's like, so remember, okay, yeah, we were at we
- 1:10:16Speaker 12: were at a major label at the time, and like
- 1:10:20Speaker 12: the guy that we were working with there put us
- 1:10:21Speaker 12: in a meeting with like the social media managers and
- 1:10:23Speaker 12: we like had a zoom call and they.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: Were like yeah, man, like those guys are always dumb
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: as theirself, Like I don't know, I get better.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so stupid.
- 1:10:34Speaker 12: And we got off the call being like okay, Like
- 1:10:35Speaker 12: all it really made us feel is like exactly what
- 1:10:37Speaker 12: SO said earlier is like you just have to do it. Yeah,
- 1:10:39Speaker 12: And so we were just walking around and like we
- 1:10:42Speaker 12: went to get like jerk Chicken or something, and soor
- 1:10:46Speaker 12: just filmed me singing It's a King do a God.
- 1:10:50Speaker 12: Like I can't say the name of the song. Now
- 1:10:52Speaker 12: that thing no church. Oh yeah, wait, I thought, yeah,
- 1:10:56Speaker 12: it is no church. I thought it was a different song.
- 1:10:58Speaker 12: I thought it was a different song, but no, no
- 1:11:00Speaker 12: church in the whild, like, what's the king doing it?
- 1:11:02Speaker 12: And it's just me on the street singing it and
- 1:11:05Speaker 12: we just let it be. We ate our jerk chicken,
- 1:11:07Speaker 12: and then we checked it and had like twenty seven.
- 1:11:09Speaker 7: K Yeah that's so sick.
- 1:11:11Speaker 12: Hey, it's crazy, And then it just started going and
- 1:11:15Speaker 12: like we had never had that happen. And then honestly,
- 1:11:17Speaker 12: like we kind of just did that very periodically or sporadically,
- 1:11:21Speaker 12: I should say, and then like only now in the
- 1:11:23Speaker 12: past couple of months have we done it, like and
- 1:11:24Speaker 12: just kind of leaned into it. Yeah, our thing. And
- 1:11:27Speaker 12: now like people are like kind of doing it trying
- 1:11:29Speaker 12: to sound like us, and like that's cool.
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: Again there where they came, I think, like style, it's
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: just funny.
- 1:11:38Speaker 12: No, there's some funny ones, but other people, no, honestly,
- 1:11:40Speaker 12: I can't hate them.
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: You guys should just you guys should make a total
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: pivot and just start getting real nasty in the comments. Yes,
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: we're gonna get We're gonna send people's dms being like fuck,
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: you know, really funny.
- 1:11:51Speaker 12: People like associate songs that aren't ours with us.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, songs like well.
- 1:11:57Speaker 12: Blueberry Fago from Little MOSI, Yeah.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: I was a banger.
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: Way he did it.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: I was way before my time.
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: That was a banger.
- 1:12:04Speaker 12: But I'm just saying, like people now are singing that
- 1:12:06Speaker 12: and they're thinking of YouTube fucking in the backyard scene,
- 1:12:10Speaker 12: so stupid.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: I think what's been fun about it all too, is
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: like we have been so lucky to be able to
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: tour at a young age and have the van and
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: like have those opportunities that like you're right, like there's
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: no reason we shouldn't use that as our biggest advantage
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: of like one people maybe have an idea of like, Okay,
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: I'm seeing my favorite artists. I don't know what their
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: day is, Like they're probably on like the PJ to
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: the arena, you know what I mean. Obviously we're playing
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: at like one hundred cap rooms on this last tour
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: or like our last headline thing. So to show people
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: like no, like we literally watch them load all their
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: shit into the van from the last show drive sing
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: a dumb song and that was three hours ago and
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: now they're here, Like it gives people a little bit
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: more of like a sense of like what it's like
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: to like actually hang out with us and give it
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: like a little dose of perspective of like it's not
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: super luxurious. We're all in one hotel room, like we're
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: all farting and like wake up super late and like
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: go to bed late and the band together.
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: But that's but that's that's what makes it super fun.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: So it's like we owe it to everybody who follows
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: along that, like they deserve that content of us just
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: fucking around.
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: You guys might be in the good old days. It
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: feels pretty. It feels pretty good. The good old days, right,
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: feels pretty.
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: Now, That's how it feels.
- 1:13:21Speaker 12: It's like we we have to have fun, like we
- 1:13:23Speaker 12: have to enjoy it, and we take it very seriously
- 1:13:26Speaker 12: most of the time. But ironically, these moments where we're
- 1:13:30Speaker 12: just being stupid in ourselves, get us in a room
- 1:13:32Speaker 12: like this and get people to you know, get our
- 1:13:35Speaker 12: heroes literally hitting us up, like just in ways we
- 1:13:38Speaker 12: never thought it was possible.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think we're lucky to let like we're
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: from here. We have so much support here from our
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: friends and our fellow you know, homies who collaborate in
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: our songs or sing verses or whatever. Like it's been great.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: I mean even Sky gone, Like we just met through
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: my middle school friend and since then, like it's just
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: nice to see how this sort of thing that we've
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: created can extend to like all our close friends and
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: like put everybody else on and eventually have like a
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: little New York gang of artists and musicians who are
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: like all under the same wing, which has been really cool.
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: Who's Who's the musician that you guys would be most
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: excited to feature on one of your songs?
- 1:14:15Speaker 12: I mean probably Drake. I mean, like the Drake thing
- 1:14:19Speaker 12: was so insane because.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: That's our guy. Like we were like, what else, Like
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: did you go to Drake and suits?
- 1:14:25Speaker 12: We did yfore, Henry and I for my birthday went
- 1:14:30Speaker 12: and saw that it's all a blurts or and we
- 1:14:32Speaker 12: wore suits and everyone was like whying sits. My lamb was,
- 1:14:37Speaker 12: it's a special occasion yea.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I used to go to Michael blue Blay in suits
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: suits for Michael blue Blaze.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: I haven't met you yet, but so hard.
- 1:14:46Speaker 12: But I mean Drake honestly the guy we're trying to
- 1:14:51Speaker 12: get to notice us now is Justin Bieber.
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: Oh, Justin Bieber would be a cool one.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: So we got to sing you're kind of in the
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: Bieber today, I was gonna say, you're sort.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: Of baby out and white. I didn't meet sure even
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: in New Orleans. I was there this weekend. You know
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: you're from there, I miss I wasn't there for Marty
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: Graves performing. Uh, it didn't really, it didn't really go
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: that well.
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: It's a weird sort of like entertainment. Yeah, glad you
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: gus didn't listen to yesterday's episodes. We were telling nasty
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: things about New Orleans.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: It's a weird.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: It's a weird city because I love New Orleans music city,
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: which it is, but it's also like it's like free music.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: It's like, oh I can go and like watch the
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: street performer, yeah, dance and like get a margarite.
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: He's an old lady, like a g t as a
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: city exactly.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: It's like people just like pouring themselves out on the
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: street for all the tourists who are like that's cute,
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: Like this is great. I could film you playing like
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: trombone on my story and then like the way.
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: So you guys never had to do that in that
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: like Nashville Grind where you're the people that when you
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: get off the plane, you're in the airport playing a song.
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: I love that.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: At my mom's whole family from I love it down there.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: I think, really it's a crazy music industry city. All
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: the labels not or like all the like publishing companies
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: and stuff are all down there. I remember touring Belmont
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: College or something, which the music college, and.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just wild. It's a whole different world.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Like you think there's a music scene in every kind
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: of major city, and there is, but like down there,
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: it's a whole different Like a lot of writers writing
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: for other people, a lot.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Of artists pop off from there. It's like the last
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: place that they are before they pop off.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: Do you guys, with Beyonce making a country album, do
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: you feel the poll to sort of throw a little
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: country into.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: Definitely Love Me Some Good I love love Me some
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: Good countries. I think there's already some stuff in the
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: in in some of them, in some of the songs.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: I feel like also whenever there's an acoustic guitar being picked,
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: people are like, that's a country song.
- 1:16:46Speaker 12: It's like when the nine seventy five we brought up earlier.
- 1:16:49Speaker 12: The lead singer has a line where he's like, the
- 1:16:51Speaker 12: best songs, even if they don't end up sounding like it,
- 1:16:53Speaker 12: kind of have a country foundation. Yeah, like whether it's
- 1:16:57Speaker 12: just like the core progression or just like great like
- 1:16:59Speaker 12: those great country melody. So honestly, all jokes aside, like
- 1:17:02Speaker 12: we do think about that sometimes because those those songs
- 1:17:04Speaker 12: are so like foundational great songwriting.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: So what's the saying. It's like countries.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: It's like three Chords in the Truth, three Chords and
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: the Moonshine. But I love it like Chris Stapleton, I
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: was obsessed with Johnny Cash.
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: I love back in the Day.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: Childers is fucking sweet.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: I know Tyler Schilders.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: I mean Morgan Wallen. You can't you can't disrespect the.
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: Man, zachat Bryan.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: I love to Blake Shelton was huge for me when
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: I was like ten. Shelton from the Voice will always
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: be there.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Though you got you can you can like turn like
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: forty and just be like, I'm I'm a country artist now.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: Yeah, my dad's dream.
- 1:17:39Speaker 15: It's more so we're not like, Okay, this is gonna
- 1:17:41Speaker 15: be a dance album. It's gonna be a country album's
- 1:17:43Speaker 15: sort of like a millange of things we pull and
- 1:17:46Speaker 15: then we sort of like assess.
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: We're trying to get better at it too, because it's
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: hard to.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Like, I think the biggest blessing and sort of curse
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: about being in a band is like everyone here has
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: had their own things that they grew up with that
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: they love, you know what I mean, which we all
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: sometimes we've realized that you try to put it all
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: into one song or like one thing, it can be
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: difficult to like, like we always joke that, like we
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: can all play multiple instruments, so they'll be like five
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: baselines on one song. It's like there only needs to
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: be one bass going on here. So it's like the
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: work is actually like I feel like we could sit
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: and think of ideas all day. The work is like
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: editing it to make it like it is a mix
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: of influences but like it's clear what it is, or
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: like you can get a vibe and it's like auxible
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: and all that stuff.
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: It's the least sexy part though for sure, by.
- 1:18:30Speaker 12: The end of writing and making stuff, like it's really
- 1:18:34Speaker 12: nitty gritty for us and like you're just like do
- 1:18:36Speaker 12: we need this layer? Do we need this, and like
- 1:18:37Speaker 12: sometimes that's also the curse of like doing it all
- 1:18:39Speaker 12: on the computer. It's like you can't make all decisions.
- 1:18:42Speaker 12: Sometimes I wish like or by the good old days,
- 1:18:45Speaker 12: like where you're just recording just live and it's just
- 1:18:47Speaker 12: that's the song.
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: That's it.
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: How many tracks do you guys put like say you
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: have like twelve or fifteen tracks on like a project
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: that you put out, how many tracks do you cut
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: and then whittle it down to fifteen?
- 1:19:00Speaker 12: It depends, honestly though it gets cut down early, Like
- 1:19:03Speaker 12: we don't. We're not like sitting with twenty complete songs
- 1:19:06Speaker 12: and cutting it down like what we started with a bunch,
- 1:19:08Speaker 12: but then like very quickly we learn finish these are
- 1:19:11Speaker 12: the songs.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: And a lot of times you'll start, especially because we're
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: producing on a computer, like it'll be like we'll do
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: the instrumental or there'll be a lyric that'll start it.
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: We'll do like the first chorus, the first verse, maybe
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: another little section, and they're like a hundred of those
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: like half songs, and then we kind of have to
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: be like that's cool, and then what's fun about also
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: like kind of having everybody sing or everybody being able
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: to sing is like if you throw something down at
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: least vocally, then it's cool to like wait to see
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: what everybody thinks, and maybe someone on their own time
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: is like I think that's cool. I'm gonna lay a
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: verse on that, or I'm gonna do that, and then
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: the ins like the energy sort of picks up, so
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: sort ofly it naturally widows down to like the ones
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: that we're all hype on and want to add stuff too,
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: And there are songs that are good, but also sometimes
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: we'll be like this feels done, or I don't know
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: how to add to this, or like this is good,
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: but I don't get the vision kind of thing. So
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: naturally a bunch of them sort of just I'm out
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: of the woodwork and we're like this this should be it.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: I mean, we used to like just write how many
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: tracks we wanted and like fill it in one by one,
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: be like the first song's got to be like us
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: in our spaceship blasting off, and then the third song
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: is like Us on Mars or whatever, like a full concept.
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: But as we've kept going, like we just keep writing
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: all the time, where it's hard to widdow like narrow
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: it down, wittle, widdle it down.
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: He guys ever considered the deluxe album.
- 1:20:27Speaker 12: Lebron like LEBRONN I love that.
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: I knew that that's we're gonna do.
- 1:20:32Speaker 12: Lebron's actually an R next what we're here to say?
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: I was waiting for just an excuse to bring that up.
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: That video is so fun.
- 1:20:38Speaker 12: Recently he did what I forget what is it?
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: I don't know if I saw Ron claims that he
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: like created the deluxe album.
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: Who was it for?
- 1:20:46Speaker 12: Like as a publicity thing? He a n R two
- 1:20:48Speaker 12: Chain's album doesn't mean anything. Yeah, And so there was
- 1:20:52Speaker 12: like all this press where it's just videos and them
- 1:20:53Speaker 12: in the studio and there it's like a funny clip
- 1:20:55Speaker 12: where he's just sitting with ts like what if we
- 1:20:56Speaker 12: cut off the last two tracks and give that to
- 1:20:58Speaker 12: them like next week? Yeah, do like a second thing.
- 1:21:02Speaker 4: It's greazy. It's like classic Lebron like lot like just
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: lainly lying yeah. So I'm sitting there and I'm saying, like,
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: all right, but picture this like the luxe album, and
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: everyone's like no, why and it had already been done
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: for like decades.
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: Hate to the king, though.
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: It is hilarious.
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: That A and R does not mean anything, like you
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: just have a job.
- 1:21:24Speaker 12: The way Lebron thought it and R is likestan relations
- 1:21:28Speaker 12: and repertoire, But like, what does what does that mean?
- 1:21:31Speaker 17: Ideally it's someone who like listens to your music and
- 1:21:34Speaker 17: is like this stuff is really good.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: This is who you are?
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: What with producers?
- 1:21:39Speaker 12: Sets you up with songwriters? Like kind of like it's like.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: Such a vague title though, that anyone can.
- 1:21:45Speaker 12: Record industry is vague. It's like I'm an A and R.
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: I'm trying to ben an R.
- 1:21:50Speaker 12: It's it's it's weird. But yeah, Lebron is probably the
- 1:21:53Speaker 12: greatest an R of all time.
- 1:21:54Speaker 15: Yeah, created the greatest father of all time and probably
- 1:21:59Speaker 15: the greatest cook of all time. I'm sure he's a
- 1:22:02Speaker 15: great chef.
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: Incredible chef videos of him. Have you ever seen the
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: videos of him reading? Yeah?
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: Yeah, of course he's one page into the book.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: It's also all young adult novel, but he said he
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: read The Godfather like seven times during one playoffs.
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: Really I keep on reading the.
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: Like Exection went zero dark thirty mode and just needed.
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: A good book.
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: The Kobe one where he's like I remember I saw
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: Hi Mat and I said he's gonna drop seven, didn't
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: I I told my boys he's dropping seventy.
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: And get clips the clip of him and Marcus Rashford
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: where they're on the shop together and he's like my
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: coach used to always say like whatever, like you missed
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: one hundred percent of the shots you dont take And
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: he's like, oh yeah, that's my favorite saving.
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, I said that. That's my boys wud
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: say that? What was the one? Uh?
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: He's got there's one that I'm trying to think of.
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: He's got all the music ones. Oh, the ones of
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: him rapping where he's just he's not, he's there's no.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Respect.
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: First day out on where he's in the gym, Ye Grizzly.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: A great one of him talking about his favorite Titans
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: in the NFL, like his favorite yeah yeah, then like
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: limb and he's clearly looking off camera and someone found
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: the website with all the.
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: It's like.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: Like George Kittle Kittle.
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: It's just blatantly word for word. I love I love it.
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: I think for how much media coverage he gets, he
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: has done it spectacularly, Like for how much he gets
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: covered as squeaky clean as he is one.
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: Of the funniest Lebron. But he is the one where
- 1:23:37Speaker 4: he's he's at like a club or something and there's
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: two girls chasing him and.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: It's have you seen it?
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: He goes the other way down.
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: He's flying.
- 1:23:48Speaker 12: Yeah, he's a good example.
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: He's never cheated. I heard now there's life.
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: I remember I saw Lebron. I said he'd never cheat
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: his life. Too loyal, that's my actually one probab with Lebrons.
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: He's too loyal, too loyal to hard work Cland so
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: is your guys documentary? Can we watch?
- 1:24:11Speaker 13: Like?
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Is that out anywhere? Can you be able to watch that?
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: And did you guys cut that yourselves?
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: Did you guys? You guys edit it?
- 1:24:17Speaker 12: We did it all ourselves, Like it was just us
- 1:24:19Speaker 12: in our studio, like which was just like a basement.
- 1:24:22Speaker 12: We had our stuff set up and we just had
- 1:24:25Speaker 12: like sometimes we were handheld like on is right now
- 1:24:27Speaker 12: on that camera? Or sometimes just literally a tripod set
- 1:24:29Speaker 12: up like and is it.
- 1:24:31Speaker 4: All that camera?
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: Yeah? And it's just shitty as camera.
- 1:24:37Speaker 12: People going to La tomorrow and we're screening it there
- 1:24:43Speaker 12: this weekend and then it's gonna come out, which nobody knows,
- 1:24:47Speaker 12: but I'll say it right now.
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: What do you guys, what are you guys flying out
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: to LA?
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: A big plane podcast America. We're not American cheap the
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: last to Yeah, I put it past morning. I kind
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: of clicked us all last last rook. There's actually nothing
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: wrong with last row.
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with you. Last row is better than some
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: of the other seats, like middle video.
- 1:25:10Speaker 12: That's like, is there a better way to exit planes? Yes? Yeah,
- 1:25:17Speaker 12: or like there's this whole thing of like what if
- 1:25:19Speaker 12: it was like all aisle seats or all all window seats,
- 1:25:23Speaker 12: all middle seats, all aisle seats go at the same time. Yeah,
- 1:25:26Speaker 12: the plane to get off the plane you get on. Yeah,
- 1:25:29Speaker 12: but it's it's always tough.
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: Well, some planes they have two doors, which is nice.
- 1:25:33Speaker 7: That helps.
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: That's only when you're flying like a like fall. Actually, LA,
- 1:25:37Speaker 4: they might have that.
- 1:25:38Speaker 12: So what about like, are you guys the kind of
- 1:25:40Speaker 12: guys are like the plane lands and you get.
- 1:25:42Speaker 4: Up, Like we don't get up, but we clap. We
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: definitely get clappers.
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: Yeah, we're clappers. Yeah, depically go in the cockpit and
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: shake their yeah yeah.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:25:52Speaker 7: I love that.
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: Such a stand up.
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: Quickly under the pilots like that.
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: I don't I fly and I and I'm I went
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: through a big I went through a big like phase
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: where I was obsessed with planes. So now I'll judge
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: the landing in my head, be like, God, they're coming
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: in way too hot. This is gonna be.
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: I did that down.
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: I landed LaGuardia and you're landing over the water. I'm like,
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: are you guys like pre checky or like Clear?
- 1:26:23Speaker 7: I'm clear?
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: But Clear is I mean, all time scam, scam of
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: all time. He's wrong because Clear initially was like no
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: one really knew about it. It was pretty low key.
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: You need to keep updating. You need now you need
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: the ocular kind of.
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: Yeah, see meta questions.
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: It used to be like, so you pay like one
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: hundred dollars a year for Clear included there and credit card.
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: Now you find out now you're like, oh, I'm gonna
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: I'm gonna go puff something and then you'll go puff
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: No exactly, He's right. You go puff now and it'll
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: be like, oh, you just earned three years of Clear
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: for free. And then he gets to the airport and
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: you're like, wait, how does every single person here have Clear?
- 1:27:01Speaker 4: And you realize that it's just they're just handing out
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: you're left and right.
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: Yeah, but now there's like an elevated Clear. That's what
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: I'm saying. You got to keep updating and getting the latest.
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: How to earn more stripes in your list?
- 1:27:13Speaker 4: Clear, it's the only good one is t SA pree check,
- 1:27:16Speaker 4: which I don't have.
- 1:27:17Speaker 12: Yes, speaking of I sometimes you got it like do
- 1:27:20Speaker 12: it a little interview and.
- 1:27:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I just.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: Purchased the AMC Movie Pass, which I've been telling.
- 1:27:27Speaker 12: It comes with clear.
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: I think, yeah, Clear, you get a I guarantee it
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: been a free month.
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: You don't have to take your shoes off when you
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: buy your popcorn exactly. But what does that get you?
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: Unlimited movies?
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: Three three movies a week, which is more than I
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: see and if you basically it's twenty five bucks a month.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: So if I see two movies a month, I'm already
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: making my own.
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: And then if you get a small anything, they'll just
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: upgrade it to a large for free, so they get
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: you with the popcorn.
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: Still. But it was great.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: I saw Bob Marley the movie alone.
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: That was great.
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: How was that? It was good?
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: It was sort of like what I told them was like,
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: have you guys seen like the Disney Plus like Giannis
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: Onkumpo story thing.
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: I don't think I've heard of it. That's what it
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: reminds me of.
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: Like it was very Disney Channel like it was very
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: like Bob has all the answers like oh no, like
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: there's war this and like you got to do a
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: charity show.
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: He's like, I got this story.
- 1:28:13Speaker 12: Yeah, it wasn't very I saw Ferrari.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: With Adam Driver, which was pretty bad but worth really
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: worth seeing it.
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: But that was I thought that was supposed to be
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: really good.
- 1:28:22Speaker 3: I'm thinking of.
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: Well they saw they saw a house of Gucci, were like,
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: Adam needs to do an Italian accident one more time.
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: We saw for your Birthday and it was really bad.
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: That one's bad.
- 1:28:34Speaker 7: I like the.
- 1:28:36Speaker 12: Only ones in the theater just shitting on it.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: We were yelling at the screen the whole time.
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: I love Lady Gaga.
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: I think I cried.
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: I saw it on an airplane and cried that don't happen.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: Eva got to bury that if you're about being up
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: in the air on the airplane will make you cry
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: no matter what. Like I remember flying with my mom
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: one time and she was watching The Martian and I
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: look over when he's getting like like beamed up to
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: the space ship and she's just like it's a great scene.
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: It's like mom, he's like not on Mars, Like bad
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: is fine?
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: Yeah, damns, like I know, but like they saved him.
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: They got cried listening to friends on an airplane.
- 1:29:13Speaker 4: You're so caught up.
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: No your guys.
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: So that's so card on the show on podcast. Never
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: watched that in full, I've never seen that.
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: I have a question, just like side note, so like
- 1:29:28Speaker 5: with these kind of podcasts and stuff, right like, yeah,
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: when do you throw the ads in? Like when you like,
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: all right, this episode is sponsored, we'll do it after.
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: Oh should just do it.
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: After we spliced it in?
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: Yeah, we just spliced it in, so we'll probably pull
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: it in right here.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: To be honest, you want to do it, that's actually
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: fly where all of the ads.
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: You put the ads in this episode?
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: That will be a good transition. Now, it's a good question. Yeah,
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: we just do it at the end and then we
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: just throw the man super easy.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: You think Rogan memorizes his ads or you think he's
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: just going dude.
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: The best part of out Rogan being on Spotify's you
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: just can skip off.
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: Fuck yeah, right, chair experts.
- 1:30:05Speaker 12: You don't even have to like do like the fifteen seconds.
- 1:30:08Speaker 12: Oh you just go all the way to the end track.
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I get all the way over. You guys roganheads,
- 1:30:14Speaker 4: You guys should go on Rogan.
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: Yeah, And then you'd be like we were on some
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: other bars, barstool, I don't even whatever the fuck it
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: was bullshit. That's that's when once you get to Rogan, would.
- 1:30:24Speaker 15: Rogan say, Rogan would start talking to us about something
- 1:30:26Speaker 15: that we would have no fucking but you guys would
- 1:30:28Speaker 15: make a joke and he'd.
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: Be like watching.
- 1:30:32Speaker 15: Like he'd be like, yeah, but like the pyramids, like
- 1:30:34Speaker 15: I don't understand how they were built, and.
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: We would just sort of be like we went to
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: Beacon we met when we were fourteen, and like yeah,
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: you'd be like, but have you seen this video of
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: this guy getting mauled by a bear?
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: Amy, pull it up, Jamie. He would tell you to
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: try d MT and you'd be like, we went to Beacon,
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: We tried that in sixth grade. That was chemistry lesson
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: number worried crowd. Is that what they meant by fast
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: that it was the bad kids?
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I still don't know what he meant by fast
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: and you know, got into drugs and good. When I
- 1:31:05Speaker 4: started hanging out with my friends now when I was
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: in like going into high school, my mom would always say,
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: that's a you're running with a fast crowd. Fast.
- 1:31:14Speaker 3: The st Anne's kids were supposed to be the fastest kids,
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: the fastest, but even the San's parents would would worry
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: when their kids going to be in parties. Are Oh,
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: I know those kids.
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: I heard a story about.
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: I had a friend.
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: Those are some fast kids.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: I had a friend who had st Ann's and she
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: told me that, like they would do this thing every
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: year where they would all get super fucked up in
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: like freshman year and play like a like a tackle
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: football game, that's right, and they would just all get
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: super wasted and then just like here we go, like
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: eleven on eleven were fucking.
- 1:31:44Speaker 4: Sounds it sounds like a last Yeah, sounds like a
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: good way to get severely injured. Do it for?
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: Can we do it for?
- 1:31:51Speaker 12: Barshool?
- 1:31:51Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: Those kids are Those kids are really fast though. I
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: mean they're really those kids get into like cutting at
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: a very or like are we talking about they're out
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: of the womb.
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: They're just they're like get me out of this wom
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: right now.
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 1:32:07Speaker 4: I love the idea of cutting being like a misbehaving
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: thing that's running with a fast crew all themselves.
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: You know, huffing and Loucino gins all that stuff.
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: You guys know, those guys are trying to kill themselves
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: way too early on got three years until.
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: That's not you, guys, I'm saying it Beacon.
- 1:32:27Speaker 12: Yes, yes, you don't know what it's like being high
- 1:32:29Speaker 12: in gym class at Beacon. Yeah, we one time crazy.
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we can cut it if you don't want it.
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: You were This is great for This is actually very
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: sort of like push so it'll be cute.
- 1:32:40Speaker 15: Like we thought we had CBD joint, like we thought
- 1:32:43Speaker 15: we were just basically taking the edge off.
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: How much more lame.
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: Can Yeah, we couldn't have been more.
- 1:32:48Speaker 4: I got a CBD story in high school too.
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: Okay, good, you'll tell it right? And what do you
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: just tell? Right?
- 1:32:52Speaker 4: You know what?
- 1:32:52Speaker 8: No?
- 1:32:52Speaker 4: No, no, I want to do theirs, you know, go.
- 1:32:55Speaker 15: Ahead, No, seriously, I'm sorry, short, we smoke it. It's
- 1:32:59Speaker 15: not it is as Henry likes to say, Delta eight.
- 1:33:04Speaker 15: I don't know if it was actually Delta e, but
- 1:33:05Speaker 15: it was.
- 1:33:06Speaker 4: It was weird. And I and I who's not here.
- 1:33:09Speaker 15: We had class right after you had Jim, and we
- 1:33:12Speaker 15: had science class and we were there like five minutes late,
- 1:33:15Speaker 15: and I was wearing these leather pants.
- 1:33:17Speaker 3: We walked in.
- 1:33:18Speaker 15: We walked into science class and our science teacher says,
- 1:33:21Speaker 15: you're laterupting the lesson. Yeah, exactly, you're interrupting the less.
- 1:33:25Speaker 3: In the.
- 1:33:28Speaker 4: Or they can hear like you fucking latest.
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: Fuck, that's hilarious. And then we walk in.
- 1:33:34Speaker 15: He's like, you're late, and then he looks at me
- 1:33:36Speaker 15: right in the eyes. He says, I can't get mad
- 1:33:38Speaker 15: at you when you're wearing red leather pants. They were
- 1:33:40Speaker 15: red too, and I just started eyeing laughing, And we
- 1:33:45Speaker 15: had to end up leaving the class a little bit
- 1:33:47Speaker 15: early because we basically couldn't handle being as high as
- 1:33:50Speaker 15: we were in a science class physics of sound.
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: We were building a speaker.
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: He's great. Mister Mott used to let me use my
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: phone as a calculator, which was like, brough.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: He knew you were high. He was wearing a fedora,
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: he knew what time it was.
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: It's hilarious to be like high as shit walking down
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: the hallway and being like my pants are so loud.
- 1:34:12Speaker 15: I had like that sh yeah yeah, okay, okay, you
- 1:34:16Speaker 15: were cbd'd up in high school.
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: Now my story is not nearly as funny as yours.
- 1:34:20Speaker 4: You already I mean, I remember when I turned eighteen.
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: You say, you already kind of teased it right right,
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: beat something up.
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: This is like the deluxe album of this second Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll.
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: Cut this one.
- 1:34:30Speaker 4: We'll cut this story because it is not funny. But
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: uh no, I I turned eighteen and I want and
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: at the time, yes, that's awesome. But in Massachusetts, I
- 1:34:40Speaker 4: think they turned the tobacco laws so you had to
- 1:34:43Speaker 4: be twenty one. But I wanted to buy something that
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: I was eighteen. So I went to the gas station.
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: I bought CBD gummies and I took like three of
- 1:34:50Speaker 4: them before school, and it turned out that they had
- 1:34:52Speaker 4: like insane dosages of melatonin in them. So I was
- 1:34:57Speaker 4: in school and I dude, I've never been that tired,
- 1:34:59Speaker 4: and and I and then another time I did it again,
- 1:35:02Speaker 4: and I went to the gym. I took pre workout
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: with the gummies because, like Joe Rogan said, relaxes your
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: muscles and it they offset each other, and I had
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: like this most severe panic attack and I had to
- 1:35:18Speaker 4: go home and I just my had delay in the
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: dark while my mom made me like a sandwich was
- 1:35:23Speaker 4: I was like, oh, I was taking the CBD, being like, man,
- 1:35:25Speaker 4: this is gonna be so relaxing, and then I was
- 1:35:28Speaker 4: just having the most intense panic attack for like six
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: hours straight.
- 1:35:32Speaker 15: You think that you're about to have the best workout ever,
- 1:35:34Speaker 15: it's gonna be like your new remediant.
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: Yeah, new like routine.
- 1:35:37Speaker 15: It was terrible, but yeah, that's my don't trust everything
- 1:35:40Speaker 15: you hear on Rogan's great.
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: No, you should you trust everything?
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: You know what?
- 1:35:44Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Rogan is God.
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: Yeah, fucking fact.
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: The first time I did mushrooms, I did it with
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: my friend Jasper, and we were in my apartment and
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: we were trying to rent.
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: Secret Life of Pets.
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: Oh, And I remember like for some reason, like I
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: couldn't get the TV to work, and I thought my
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: dad had like left the apartment for some reason. So
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: I kept calling him like over and over again, over
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: and over, and he walks in from the next room,
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: like from me his bedroom. He's like, what's going on?
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: And I was like, Oh, we're just trying to rent
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: a Secret Life of Pats. He's like, I think it's
- 1:36:16Speaker 2: on a streaming, Like I don't even think you have
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: to rent it, And I was like, okay, it just
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: walked out.
- 1:36:21Speaker 4: I'm sorry you think you knew? Oh uh prob, Yeah
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: for sure, definitely. Really I feel like it. That'd be
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: pretty tough for a parent to be like he's high
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: on mushrooms.
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: Red Well.
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: The story actually continues on we watched Your Life of
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: Pets and then decided to be a good idea. I
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: used to live right by the Intrepid. We thought it
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: would be a good idea to go and smoke a
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: jay outside of the Intrepid. Granted it's my first time
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: doing any sort of mushroom psychedelic, so I don't eat
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: anything the whole day. I'm like, I heard an empty
- 1:36:47Speaker 2: stomach is good, So I go we smoke this joint.
- 1:36:49Speaker 4: We're walking back. I've eaten nothing.
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: I remember saying to Jasper, like, oh, my stomach feels
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: kind of weird. Next thing I remember, I'm on the
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: side of the road like he's like slapping my face.
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: This woman's like we got to call him an ambulance.
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: He's like, no, he's super drunk. Don't worry, It's totally fine.
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: I wake up the next morning with like a huge.
- 1:37:06Speaker 4: Black eye from you.
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: No you missed the Oh yeah I I.
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: I had blacked out, like I literally passed out in
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: the middle of the street from not eating anything. Jasper
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: like drags me by my feet to the side and
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: it's like waking me up. And the next morning I
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: was like, mom, Dad, I got a little too high
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: and I passed out and my dad was like, you're
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: an absolute idiot, Like you.
- 1:37:27Speaker 4: Have a also had the biggest show of our life
- 1:37:29Speaker 4: to date that day. It was cool. Then I had
- 1:37:31Speaker 4: the black eye.
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: You definitely looked gnarly.
- 1:37:34Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: It was next day when he woke up.
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:37:36Speaker 4: Right, So that was my first mushroom experience.
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: Broom. Oh yeah.
- 1:37:42Speaker 15: We were seventeen and we had sold out a Bowery
- 1:37:44Speaker 15: ballroom and story shows up.
- 1:37:45Speaker 3: It's a massive black eye.
- 1:37:47Speaker 4: We're like, though, yeah it was it was cool. That's badass.
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: Yeah, But then everybody was like what happened, and it
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: was like I was like, yeah, I just I passed out,
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: like I had gone too hard like Jasper, and I
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: run a run.
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: That's even more bad.
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: Well, I had like pat Tie that we had ordered
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: in but waited to eat till after I had worn off,
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: So we didn't like puke.
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: That's what we thought.
- 1:38:10Speaker 4: And it was like at home waiting for me. That's
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: nice beef Pati.
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: Ok yeah, I had pat tie last night.

- 1:40:11Speaker 5: to the green room. It's like faster than like going
- 1:40:12Speaker 5: up the backstairs or whatever. So there was this girl
- 1:40:15Speaker 5: who every time I walked past with like grab me
- 1:40:17Speaker 5: and try to get me to get her in the

- 1:40:43Speaker 2: gonna go on, and these girls up front like pulled
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: out white clause as soon as they got there. The

- 1:41:11Speaker 4: Like back inside about confidence.
