- 17:58Speaker 6: for you?
- 17:59Speaker 5: Sup?
- 17:59Speaker 19: Mira, Hey, Sammy, Hey everyone. Mirah Sharma here with your
- 18:03Speaker 19: weekly dose of mindful sass helping you stay self assured,
- 18:07Speaker 19: spirited and strong. So let's talk a bit about self assurance.
- 18:12Speaker 19: It's not about being the loudest in the room. It's
- 18:15Speaker 19: about being the calmest in your own mind. Self assurance
- 18:19Speaker 19: is built in those small moments when you keep promises
- 18:22Speaker 19: to yourself, when you trust your guts, when you stop
- 18:25Speaker 19: needing constant validation. It's choosing your standards and sticking to them.
- 18:31Speaker 19: The more you back yourself, the less you're going to
- 18:34Speaker 19: look around for approval. So this week, build that quiet confidence,
- 18:39Speaker 19: keep your word to yourself, trust your instincts, and walk
- 18:42Speaker 19: like you know who you are even if you're still
- 18:45Speaker 19: figuring it out.
- 18:46Speaker 3: You've got this.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Thank you, Mira, Thank you so much.
- 18:49Speaker 6: There's something about that keep the word to yourself part
- 18:52Speaker 6: that really resonates, you know what I mean?
- 18:54Speaker 5: Sometimes you just got to do that.
- 18:56Speaker 6: Until something's fully baked than you, Mira. This song is
- 19:02Speaker 6: called bona fide course do.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Look at this Sally in the game, can there who

- 22:30Speaker 6: I wonder now invite into the show Daniel Johnson, who
- 22:35Speaker 6: is from the UN News Department and joins the Bridge
- 22:38Speaker 6: every Monday as part of our partnership with the United
- 22:41Speaker 6: Nations News.
- 22:43Speaker 5: How are you today, Daniel?
- 22:45Speaker 23: This is UN News Today with me Daniel Johnson. The headlines.
- 22:49Speaker 23: As the Middle East wall continues, eight shipments are getting
- 22:52Speaker 23: back on track, the UN Health Agency announces. Meanwhile, in
- 22:56Speaker 23: Lebanon there's nowhere safe to go. Eight teams war and
- 23:01Speaker 23: we all know there's an energy crisis because of the war,
- 23:04Speaker 23: but what about a water crisis. We find out about
- 23:07Speaker 23: the vital role played by desalination plants across the Gulf.
- 23:14Speaker 23: A bit of good news from the Middle East to
- 23:16Speaker 23: start with the announcement from the UN World Health Organization
- 23:19Speaker 23: WHO that aid shipments are getting back on track. There
- 23:23Speaker 23: speaking from Jubai, which is one of the who's key
- 23:26Speaker 23: relief hubs, the agencies, Robert Blanchard, noted that the war
- 23:30Speaker 23: and Iranian attacks throughout the Gulf had caused major disruption
- 23:34Speaker 23: to humanitarian flights.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I would say the.
- 23:37Speaker 24: First two weeks of the crisis really set us back,
- 23:41Speaker 24: but we're now receiving bookings for a commercially scheduled cargo
- 23:45Speaker 24: and we're able to begin moving supplies out as we
- 23:50Speaker 24: were in the past. But most of the airlines are
- 23:52Speaker 24: now back to around fifty or sixty percent of their capacity.
- 23:56Speaker 23: The WHO Emergency Operations Team lead said that a human
- 24:00Speaker 23: panetarian convoy is now heading to Lebanon with enough medicines
- 24:03Speaker 23: and surgical supplies to treat fifty thousand patients. A humanitarian
- 24:08Speaker 23: charter flight is also being loaded with more than seventy
- 24:11Speaker 23: eight tons of pediatric and essential medicines for delivery to
- 24:15Speaker 23: Afghanistan next week, along with more life saving medicines for Gaza,
- 24:19Speaker 23: mister Blanchard said. In Lebanon, UN teams have warned that
- 24:23Speaker 23: civilians are enduring intensified Israeli strikes with little warning about
- 24:28Speaker 23: impending attacks. The development comes as the Israeli military continues
- 24:33Speaker 23: to target locations linked to Hesbeala militants who began firing
- 24:36Speaker 23: rockets at Israel soon after Israeli and US bombing began
- 24:40Speaker 23: of Iran. The UN Refugee Agency's representative in Lebanon, Carolina,
- 24:45Speaker 23: Lindhold Billing, said on Friday that an attack in Bashura
- 24:49Speaker 23: in central Beirut last week was accompanied by a warning
- 24:52Speaker 23: issued maybe less than an hour before the strike hit
- 24:55Speaker 23: very early in the morning.
- 24:57Speaker 25: The second strike that was close to seven or collective
- 25:00Speaker 25: shelters hosting displaced, there was no warning it was a
- 25:04Speaker 25: direct target, and as far as I'm aware, there have
- 25:08Speaker 25: been no sites designated as safe where civilians have been
- 25:13Speaker 25: advised to go to.
- 25:14Speaker 23: More than one million people have now fled their homes
- 25:17Speaker 23: in Lebanon in just a few weeks. Also working in Lebanon,
- 25:21Speaker 23: the UN Agency UN Women reported the trauma faced by
- 25:24Speaker 23: families forced to flee their homes at night without knowing
- 25:27Speaker 23: where to go, losing their livelihoods and everything that is familiar.
- 25:31Speaker 23: Ongoing Iranian attacks on Gulf states have focused attention and
- 25:35Speaker 23: fears on the region's desalination plants, which provide drinking water
- 25:39Speaker 23: to millions. Nearly forty million people in the six countries
- 25:43Speaker 23: that make up the Gulf Cooperation Council depend to varying
- 25:46Speaker 23: degrees on desalinated water. According to the UN Economic and
- 25:50Speaker 23: Social Commission for Western Asia, that's around sixty five percent
- 25:54Speaker 23: of the population of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Kata, Saudi Arabia
- 25:59Speaker 23: and the United Arab Emirates said that UN bodies Ziad Kayat.
- 26:03Speaker 26: If the conflict escalates further and decination plants out hit,
- 26:06Speaker 26: the construption of descination plants would affect the water supply
- 26:10Speaker 26: to millions of people. In addition to indirect a hit
- 26:13Speaker 26: on the sampation. Many of these descination plants are also
- 26:15Speaker 26: linked to power stations and power supply.
- 26:18Speaker 23: Mister Kayat explained that if energy plants are hit, there
- 26:21Speaker 23: will be a knock on impact on desalination plants, also
- 26:24Speaker 23: affecting the water supply immediately to millions of people. The
- 26:28Speaker 23: senior sustainability officer also pointed out that any contamination of
- 26:33Speaker 23: the waters in the Gulf would also affect desalination plants
- 26:36Speaker 23: in the region which take their water from the Persian Gulf.
- 26:39Speaker 23: You can hear the full interview with you In News's
- 26:41Speaker 23: Natalie Menard on our audio hub now Daniel Johnson, un News.
- 26:46Speaker 5: Thank you so much for that.
- 26:47Speaker 6: Daniel, so much at stake here and a lot going
- 26:52Speaker 6: on of course in the world of geopolitics, and I'm

- 33:38Speaker 6: about the things going on in the mainstream hip hop space,
- 33:41Speaker 6: and Andro, I wanted to talk about some talk to
- 33:44Speaker 6: you about something I'm really excited about, something going on
- 33:47Speaker 6: in my car right now, and that's the brand new
- 33:49Speaker 6: Kanye West album called Bully.
- 33:51Speaker 5: What do you think of it? Brother?
- 33:54Speaker 3: The album?
- 33:55Speaker 31: It sounds amazingly.
- 33:56Speaker 13: I've just.
- 33:58Speaker 31: I've just listened to or three tracks maybe, but not
- 34:01Speaker 31: the fully album. And the most the most amazing thing
- 34:05Speaker 31: is the new music video like Father and Yes, this
- 34:10Speaker 31: is really crazy because that music video is filled with
- 34:12Speaker 31: the most of the Easter eggs and most of the
- 34:15Speaker 31: hinted pass is that you know that is the KRNYE
- 34:18Speaker 31: child right And the best part I feel like the
- 34:23Speaker 31: Michael Jackson resembling person sitting just behind the carniege that
- 34:28Speaker 31: that was.
- 34:28Speaker 5: That was pretty dope. That was very cool.
- 34:31Speaker 6: Yeah. The other thing I heard about that music video,
- 34:33Speaker 6: by the way, Andrew, it was shot in one shot.
- 34:37Speaker 5: Yeah, that's pretty right. That is going on there.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 34:42Speaker 31: There is so much going on in in a single
- 34:45Speaker 31: music video and this is just a work shot video.
- 34:48Speaker 31: Kannye is always pushing the you know, limits, always pushing
- 34:52Speaker 31: new boundaries to make the art more creative, more complex,
- 34:55Speaker 31: and that's why we look Kandie.
- 34:57Speaker 5: I get the feeling that when you listen to this album.
- 34:59Speaker 6: I've made it through the album one time, and my
- 35:02Speaker 6: reaction to it as I was going through is I
- 35:05Speaker 6: feel like the vintage Kanye is back. I don't know
- 35:08Speaker 6: what that means, but I felt like this was Kanye
- 35:11Speaker 6: in this peak kind of you know, rejuvenated in a new,
- 35:15Speaker 6: resurrected form.
- 35:16Speaker 31: Here like this is one of the most things that
- 35:21Speaker 31: Kanye Fen was always waiting for. That their old version
- 35:25Speaker 31: of Kanie came back with the new banger and news,
- 35:27Speaker 31: so I guess this is the time the Kanye returned.
- 35:32Speaker 6: He's got some great collaborations on this album, Celo Green,
- 35:36Speaker 6: Andre Trautman, Don Tolliver of course, and then the big one,
- 35:40Speaker 6: the Father track of course with Travis Scott. But the
- 35:43Speaker 6: rest of it is all him, and that's pretty interesting
- 35:45Speaker 6: in its own way.
- 35:50Speaker 31: Definitely. And I'm also a big Kanye E fan, and
- 35:53Speaker 31: not just not just fan of his music, but fan
- 35:56Speaker 31: of his old work and fan of his him as
- 35:59Speaker 31: an artist, like his fashion work is everything, like Kanie
- 36:04Speaker 31: is one of the most influential person in the pop
- 36:06Speaker 31: scene right now.
- 36:07Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, and it's distributed through Gamma put out with
- 36:11Speaker 6: Larry Jackson over there. So very interesting project indeed, And
- 36:15Speaker 6: I know that recently his India concert just got canceled
- 36:18Speaker 6: there and I think it's been postponed obviously because of
- 36:20Speaker 6: all the geopolitical things that are going on across the
- 36:23Speaker 6: world right now.
- 36:24Speaker 5: I think they pushed down to May.
- 36:27Speaker 31: Yes, So we all are excited here to you know,
- 36:30Speaker 31: witness the Man.
- 36:32Speaker 5: In India. It's gonna be crazy over there.
- 36:35Speaker 6: Andre, great talking to you about this album. We're really
- 36:38Speaker 6: excited about it. And let's catch up on it again soon.
- 36:41Speaker 31: Here, definitely, So thank you so much for having me.
- 36:45Speaker 5: All right, folks, thank you so much. Andro. And of
- 36:47Speaker 5: course check out Andro's show tonight.
- 36:49Speaker 6: It re airs again at eight pm, and make sure
- 36:52Speaker 6: you check out his show called The Street Symphonies.
- 36:54Speaker 5: And here's the next track for use by as Buller.
- 36:57Speaker 5: It's called Undra.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Record at the Ark.
- 37:01Speaker 32: Got the sony up and Jabo Marisa al you put
- 37:05Speaker 32: in the cannel, can look at the hornet paa there

- 39:38Speaker 9: John Yeah, john he's.
- 39:50Speaker 6: That song is muntra a s Butler and Harry but
- 39:54Speaker 6: getting together for that song? Right there, folks, let's bring
- 39:58Speaker 6: in Ruby BOSSI to this party.
- 39:59Speaker 5: How are you Ruby?
- 40:01Speaker 11: Hi?
- 40:01Speaker 4: Sammy good, how are you? How's everyone today?
- 40:04Speaker 5: We're doing well.
- 40:04Speaker 6: First of all, I want to give a shout out
- 40:06Speaker 6: to you for your amazing show and what it's doing
- 40:10Speaker 6: here on the air at every evening at six pm. Ruby,
- 40:13Speaker 6: congratulations on this show and everybody needs to go check
- 40:16Speaker 6: out Ruby's show.
- 40:17Speaker 5: First of all.
- 40:18Speaker 6: But Ruby, amazing show. Keep it up system. Yeah, we
- 40:22Speaker 6: love it so much and the audience is certainly reacting
- 40:24Speaker 6: to it. A lot of people come up to me
- 40:26Speaker 6: and they tell me, Hey, I've been listening to Ruby
- 40:28Speaker 6: show and she's awesome.
- 40:29Speaker 5: So there you go. That's that's always a great song.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Yeah, Hey, make everything worth it right, all that work
- 40:34Speaker 4: we put into it, it's really good because we're trying
- 40:37Speaker 4: to inform people, talk to them about what's important. Both
- 40:40Speaker 4: of while these things are overlooked and people don't even
- 40:43Speaker 4: think about it, right, So bringing that information out, putting
- 40:46Speaker 4: it in news, not just a short video that we
- 40:47Speaker 4: do on social media, but this is more in depth,
- 40:50Speaker 4: so a lot of information for everyone.
- 40:52Speaker 6: I know I've eaten into your time here, so please
- 40:55Speaker 6: tell us the story from this week. Ruby, what an
- 40:57Speaker 6: interesting kind of steady or a piece of information for
- 41:02Speaker 6: especially for kids here with phones around them all the time.
- 41:04Speaker 5: Please tell us.
- 41:06Speaker 4: Yeah, so kids and their phones and the chargers. We
- 41:09Speaker 4: can't go two stuffs without our phone, and neither can
- 41:12Speaker 4: our kids. Now, Now, the story is about this is
- 41:14Speaker 4: one of many stories, to be honest with you, It's
- 41:17Speaker 4: about kids falling asleep with their phone on charge, you know,
- 41:20Speaker 4: next to their bed or in their bed, and they
- 41:22Speaker 4: fall asleep. Well, the story is about an eight year
- 41:25Speaker 4: old who was fatally electrocuted while he was sleeping, and
- 41:30Speaker 4: he woke up with heat around his neck and being electrocuted.
- 41:35Speaker 5: So what happened was his phone.
- 41:37Speaker 4: Got unplugged when he was sleeping and that wire tangled
- 41:40Speaker 4: around his necklace or touched his necklace, and he was
- 41:44Speaker 4: electrocuted quite badly, got to the point where he wasn't
- 41:47Speaker 4: able to even scream, but he was able to pull
- 41:51Speaker 4: off that necklace and throw it and got he got
- 41:53Speaker 4: some burn Sammy. So it's like, and this is just
- 41:57Speaker 4: one of the many stories this boy made it the
- 42:00Speaker 4: burns he has on his chest, on the neck, on
- 42:04Speaker 4: his hands, and it's so sad because he's such a
- 42:07Speaker 4: cute little guy, right, but you know, the hospital had
- 42:10Speaker 4: said if he had not pulled that chain off, he
- 42:13Speaker 4: wouldn't have made it. So look at the strength in
- 42:15Speaker 4: this little kid.
- 42:16Speaker 6: Right, the awareness, Yeah, and such a moment like that
- 42:19Speaker 6: to react in that way. But Ruby, I feel like
- 42:22Speaker 6: a lot of people do this, not even just kids.
- 42:24Speaker 6: I feel like a lot of people fall asleep with
- 42:26Speaker 6: their phone next to them, whether it is at night
- 42:28Speaker 6: or whether they're you know, they doze off, whether it
- 42:30Speaker 6: just happened to be next to them while they're charging,
- 42:32Speaker 6: or whatever it might be.
- 42:33Speaker 5: And I feel like it's something that we all do.
- 42:36Speaker 11: Well.
- 42:36Speaker 4: There's a story that's out of la as well with
- 42:38Speaker 4: a lady her phone caught on fire when she was
- 42:41Speaker 4: sleeping and it burned her bed, her leg, her arm,
- 42:44Speaker 4: and she had a fire blanket and she was able
- 42:46Speaker 4: to contain the fire. And she's on the second or
- 42:48Speaker 4: third floor in our apartment. So it happens way more
- 42:51Speaker 4: often than we want to actually believe it's happening. So
- 42:54Speaker 4: if you have a fire blanket, keep that hand, or
- 42:56Speaker 4: just put the electronics somewhere else. Guys put him in
- 42:58Speaker 4: a kitchen, put him somewhere that they're away from. You
- 43:02Speaker 4: do not put them in your bed and next to
- 43:03Speaker 4: your bed, so you never know what can go.
- 43:05Speaker 6: Wrong, seriously, especially while it's charging and if you do
- 43:08Speaker 6: have it plugged in and stuff like that. Ruby, I
- 43:11Speaker 6: you know, as we this is something that I know
- 43:14Speaker 6: that really connects with a lot of different people. But
- 43:16Speaker 6: they are kids that do this. I know my kids
- 43:17Speaker 6: do this as well. They have their phones in charges.
- 43:20Speaker 6: You know you mentioned charging it away from it whatever
- 43:23Speaker 6: from yourself. What are some tips you can give some
- 43:25Speaker 6: of the kids here in terms of what they should
- 43:27Speaker 6: be doing with their phone, when they should charge it,
- 43:30Speaker 6: how et cetera. Can any feedback there on that level?
- 43:33Speaker 4: Yes, a few hours before bedtime, not right before bed.
- 43:36Speaker 4: Oh I'll just put on charge for twenty minutes, right.
- 43:39Speaker 2: You know.
- 43:40Speaker 4: The rule that I have, Sammy, is everything goes back
- 43:42Speaker 4: into the kitchen or somewhere by a think or you
- 43:45Speaker 4: know what I mean. Because water is not going to
- 43:47Speaker 4: help you when this fire starts living fire starts up.
- 43:49Speaker 4: So charge it two to three hours at least two
- 43:52Speaker 4: hours before bed. And if you need to put that
- 43:54Speaker 4: alarma which we're all used, to keep it away from yourself.
- 43:58Speaker 34: Right.
- 43:59Speaker 4: That's my goal is just keeping the phones in a
- 44:01Speaker 4: safe place, and if it's in your room, put it
- 44:04Speaker 4: somewhere it's a little bit farther from you. Because now
- 44:06Speaker 4: again guys, unless it's a lambs off, we won't know.
- 44:09Speaker 4: But just think about your child falling asleep with it
- 44:11Speaker 4: in their bed. So I think as parents we have
- 44:14Speaker 4: to become more strict, you know, taking that phone away.
- 44:17Speaker 4: But it's not just got some people. Some kids take
- 44:20Speaker 4: into the shower with them. They're watching a video while
- 44:22Speaker 4: they're showering. So guys, you really have to keep on
- 44:24Speaker 4: on the little ones. That's all I'm gonna be.
- 44:26Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, well put Ruby. Thanks for that great advice,
- 44:29Speaker 6: and thanks for joining us today on this episode. And
- 44:31Speaker 6: of course, you know, for all those people out there
- 44:34Speaker 6: using their phones, et cetera, it's not that keep your
- 44:36Speaker 6: phone maybe away and that way you got to get
- 44:38Speaker 6: up and go turn the alarm off and now you'll
- 44:40Speaker 6: definitely be awake, you'll we'll need to snooze.
- 44:43Speaker 5: Thanks Ruby, thanks for hanging out with me today.
- 44:45Speaker 34: Thank you, Samy.
- 44:46Speaker 4: All right, guys, talk to you soon.
- 44:47Speaker 6: I folks go check out Ruby show this evening at
- 44:50Speaker 6: six pm right here on the signal. And this next

- 49:13Speaker 37: So this week we start with industrial movement in India
- 49:15Speaker 37: and fragile diplomacy in the Middle East. India's manufacturing activity
- 49:19Speaker 37: has expanded at a fast rate in the recent months,
- 49:21Speaker 37: driven by strong domestic demand and growing export orders. The
- 49:24Speaker 37: latest Purchasing Manager's Index shows factory output rising, especially in
- 49:28Speaker 37: automotive components, electronics and pharmaceuticals. This is significant as India
- 49:33Speaker 37: pushes to position itself as a goal manufacturing alternative amidshifting
- 49:37Speaker 37: supply chains, and lets say, sustained growth could create jobs
- 49:40Speaker 37: and strengthen India's export competitiveness, but rising raw material costs
- 49:44Speaker 37: remain a watchin Meanwhile, ceasefire negotiations and parts of the
- 49:47Speaker 37: Middle East are under pressure, falling renewed skirmishes and political disputes.
- 49:51Speaker 37: While largical escalation has been avoided, the Umanitarian agencies warned
- 49:54Speaker 37: that instability could quickly return for South Asian communities across
- 49:58Speaker 37: the Goal, millions of whom working cans struction, health care
- 50:00Speaker 37: and energy sectors. Regional civility remains essential for economic security.
- 50:05Speaker 37: Intermittence flows, industrial growth builds opportunity. He sustains it. This
- 50:09Speaker 37: week reminds of her economic ambition and geopolitical calmar deeply intertwined.
