- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, don't skip this.
- 0:02Speaker 2: It's not an ad, just dropping in to let you know.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This episode was initially recorded and released back in February
- 0:09Speaker 2: twenty eighteen, and at the time it was just for
- 0:13Speaker 2: subscribers and oh man, even just three years ago, it
- 0:18Speaker 2: was a completely different world. Travel back in time with
- 0:22Speaker 2: me to a universe where our main problem was just
- 0:27Speaker 2: that Trump was in office. He was only a year
- 0:30Speaker 2: into his term at this point, and we were all
- 0:32Speaker 2: still wondering at what point during the next three years
- 0:36Speaker 2: Trump's incompetence was going to cost us hundreds of thousands
- 0:41Speaker 2: of lives, and how it was going to happen if
- 0:43Speaker 2: you had the poorly handled pandemic square in your office.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Betting Pool, congratulations on getting Rich off COVID. You're the
- 0:51Speaker 2: new Jeff Bezos. This episode happened so long ago. I
- 0:56Speaker 2: still thought Robert Mueller's last name was pronounced Mueller.
- 1:00Speaker 1: You'll hear it.
- 1:01Speaker 2: The Russia investigation had started by this point, but we
- 1:04Speaker 2: didn't know a whole lot about it yet. We were
- 1:06Speaker 2: still a full two years away from the findings being released,
- 1:11Speaker 2: and politicians and political pundits bragging about reading all four
- 1:16Speaker 2: hundred and fifty pages like they just walked on the moon.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I don't think Stephen King has ever written a book
- 1:22Speaker 2: that was less than four hundred and fifty pages long,
- 1:25Speaker 2: and there are untold numbers of people who've read every
- 1:29Speaker 2: single one of them, and it wasn't their job. Also,
- 1:32Speaker 2: I don't think I've even mentioned that this episode is
- 1:34Speaker 2: about Donald Trump's ties to Russia, and I'm pretty sure
- 1:38Speaker 2: it's one of the first episodes we ever recorded about
- 1:42Speaker 2: that particular moment in American history. So you're gonna hear
- 1:46Speaker 2: a bunch of names that have since become synonymous with
- 1:50Speaker 2: collaborating with Vladimir Putin to overthrow American elections. But back then,
- 1:56Speaker 2: we were still kind at the point where we were
- 1:58Speaker 2: just getting introduced to the casting characters. There are also,
- 2:02Speaker 2: upon listening to this episode again, a few quirky little
- 2:05Speaker 2: moments here and there, like the bit at the end
- 2:08Speaker 2: where me and Connor are marveling at the idea of
- 2:11Speaker 2: people recording podcasts remotely. For example, we have obviously cleared
- 2:16Speaker 2: that hurdle since then. There's also a sort of creepy
- 2:19Speaker 2: moment where I mentioned that I know one of the
- 2:21Speaker 2: hackers who was involved in the Chelsea Manning scandal. Why
- 2:26Speaker 2: is that creepy? Because he died a month later under
- 2:29Speaker 2: mysterious circumstances. I mean that obviously has nothing to do
- 2:33Speaker 2: with this episode. Very weird coincidence though, And speaking of
- 2:37Speaker 2: mysterious circumstances and names you might recognize. Until I listened
- 2:42Speaker 2: back to this episode, I had completely forgotten that there
- 2:47Speaker 2: was a point in time where Moby was neck deep
- 2:51Speaker 2: in the Russia investigation. Do you remember that? And yes,
- 2:54Speaker 2: I do mean the EDM musician Moby. He went on
- 2:58Speaker 2: a radio show around the time this episode came out
- 3:01Speaker 2: and said he'd met several CIA agents in his years
- 3:05Speaker 2: of touring, which I do believe, and that they'd given
- 3:08Speaker 2: him a bunch of dirt on Trump and Russia and
- 3:12Speaker 2: we're entrusting him to get it out to the people.
- 3:14Speaker 2: What the fuck happened with that? Have we checked on
- 3:17Speaker 2: Moby recently? Is he still tweeting? Is everything okay? Someone
- 3:20Speaker 2: check on Moby anyway. The reason we're putting this episode
- 3:23Speaker 2: back out is because there's an update to this story.
- 3:27Speaker 2: While you were justifiably fascinated by the game Stop saga,
- 3:31Speaker 2: an x KGB agent came forward and claimed that Russia
- 3:35Speaker 2: had been cultivating Trump as an asset for forty years.
- 3:40Speaker 2: That's a thing I'd speculated about a little bit on
- 3:44Speaker 2: an episode of Unpopular Opinion a few years ago, but
- 3:48Speaker 2: I definitely wasn't the only one. The reason for all
- 3:50Speaker 2: that speculation was in large part due to Trump's first
- 3:55Speaker 2: visit to Russia, which happened way back in nineteen eighty seven.
- 3:58Speaker 2: BuzzFeed reported on this way back in twenty fifteen. And
- 4:03Speaker 2: what's interesting about the trip is that immediately upon returning,
- 4:08Speaker 2: he took out a full page ad in the New
- 4:10Speaker 2: York Times, the Washington Post, and the Boston Globe. And
- 4:15Speaker 2: the main point of that ad was why does America
- 4:18Speaker 2: spend so much money defending other countries? Here's a sample quote.
- 4:22Speaker 2: We defend the Persian Gulf, an area of only marginal
- 4:25Speaker 2: significance to the United States for its oil supplies, but
- 4:29Speaker 2: one upon which Japan and others are almost totally dependent.
- 4:33Speaker 2: End quote. You might recognize that as being very similar
- 4:37Speaker 2: to his Hey, maybe we should pull out a NATO
- 4:39Speaker 2: if the member countries don't pay more. Bit that is
- 4:42Speaker 2: a Russia talking point. NATO exists to protect those countries
- 4:47Speaker 2: from Russia. When Trump is asking why is America policing
- 4:53Speaker 2: the world and defending all these other countries. It's because
- 4:57Speaker 2: of Russia. So as far back as nineteen eighty SI
- 5:00Speaker 2: he was taking out pro Russia ads in American newspapers,
- 5:04Speaker 2: and that started immediately after his first trip to Russia.
- 5:07Speaker 2: So no, duh, they've been cultivating him for a long time.
- 5:12Speaker 2: We wouldn't let someone skate by on calling something like
- 5:15Speaker 2: that a coincidence in a true crime documentary, so we
- 5:18Speaker 2: certainly shouldn't allow it here either. Also in twenty seventeen,
- 5:23Speaker 2: Politico published a lengthy article about Trump's first visit to
- 5:28Speaker 2: Russia and the claims that the country had been cultivating
- 5:31Speaker 2: him as an asset since the nineteen eighties. And now,
- 5:34Speaker 2: as I just mentioned, an XKGB agent is claiming that
- 5:38Speaker 2: all of that is true. His name is Yuri Schvetz,
- 5:42Speaker 2: and he's the key source for a new book called
- 5:45Speaker 2: American Compramot by journalist Craig Unger. Compramont is the word
- 5:49Speaker 2: Russia uses for information they can use for blackmail purposes. No,
- 5:54Speaker 2: that's not a literal translation either, Save it commenters. Anyway,
- 5:58Speaker 2: According to Schwez, Trump first came to the attention of
- 6:02Speaker 2: the Russians when he married Ivana Zelnikova, who you probably
- 6:06Speaker 2: know better as Evanna Trump back in nineteen seventy seven.
- 6:09Speaker 2: That's when he became the target of a spying operation
- 6:13Speaker 2: coordinated between Czechoslovakian intelligence agencies and the KGB. Ivana was
- 6:19Speaker 2: a Czechoslovakian model, you see. Schwetz also discusses Trump's first
- 6:24Speaker 2: trip to Russia and says he was fed talking points
- 6:27Speaker 2: and flattered by KGB operatives and encouraged to go into politics.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Here's a quote for the KGB. It was a charm offensive.
- 6:35Speaker 2: They had collected a lot of information on his personality,
- 6:38Speaker 2: so they knew who he was personally. The feeling was
- 6:42Speaker 2: that he was extremely vulnerable intellectually and psychologically, and he
- 6:47Speaker 2: was prone to flattery. This is what they exploited. They
- 6:50Speaker 2: played the game as if they were immensely impressed by
- 6:53Speaker 2: his personality and believe this is the guy who should
- 6:56Speaker 2: be president of the United States one day. It is
- 6:59Speaker 2: people like him who could change the world. They fed
- 7:02Speaker 2: him the so called active measures sound bites and it happened.
- 7:05Speaker 2: So it was a big achievement for the KGB Active
- 7:07Speaker 2: measures at the time. And there's also a quote in
- 7:10Speaker 2: the book about that ad Trump took out in nineteen
- 7:13Speaker 2: eighty seven. They viewed it as a successful active measure
- 7:17Speaker 2: that was executed by a new KGB agent. Here's that quote.
- 7:20Speaker 2: It was unprecedented. I am pretty well familiar with KGB
- 7:24Speaker 2: active measures starting in the early seventies and eighties, and
- 7:27Speaker 2: then afterwards with Russia active measures, and I haven't heard
- 7:31Speaker 2: anything like it or anything similar until Trump became president
- 7:35Speaker 2: of this country. Because it was just silly. It was
- 7:38Speaker 2: hard to believe that somebody would publish it under his
- 7:41Speaker 2: name and that it will impress real serious people in
- 7:44Speaker 2: the West. But it did, and finally this guy became
- 7:48Speaker 2: the president. He also says he was disappointed by the
- 7:51Speaker 2: limited scope of the Mueller investigation and that this book
- 7:55Speaker 2: is the continuation of that investigation. And here's one last
- 7:59Speaker 2: quote from the author of the book, Craig Unger. He
- 8:02Speaker 2: was an asset. It was not this grand, ingenious plan
- 8:06Speaker 2: that we're going to develop this guy and forty years
- 8:09Speaker 2: later he'll be president. At the time it started, which
- 8:12Speaker 2: was around nineteen eighty, the Russians were trying to recruit
- 8:15Speaker 2: like crazy and going after dozens and dozens of people.
- 8:18Speaker 2: So all of that, and somehow we're still debating whether
- 8:23Speaker 2: Trump should be allowed to run for president again in
- 8:26Speaker 2: twenty twenty four. What a time to be alive, am
- 8:29Speaker 2: I right? Anyway, let's get to the podcast. Stabler.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with the hosts Adam Todd,
- 8:47Speaker 1: Brown and Knye mcspadin.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy The Show. I'm Adam Todd,
- 9:00Speaker 2: I'm Connor mcspaden. Welcome to mind Control month. Once again.
- 9:05Speaker 2: We're starting in the middle of the month. But you
- 9:08Speaker 2: know how we do.
- 9:09Speaker 3: I mean, what are we gonna give you two weeks
- 9:11Speaker 3: of just like non canonical content so we can like, no,
- 9:14Speaker 3: let's just go right in the mic. It doesn't matter.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Yeah's a period of thirty days. Dude, Welcome to mind
- 9:19Speaker 3: Control four weeks. Yeah, we go on the real calendar.
- 9:21Speaker 3: You guys are using the sheeple calendar.
- 9:24Speaker 2: We're talking about Trump today and the theory or idea
- 9:28Speaker 2: that Trump could be a Manchurian candidate. Yeah, which this is.
- 9:33Speaker 2: This is interesting to me because I've have you ever
- 9:36Speaker 2: seen the Manchurian candidate?
- 9:37Speaker 1: I haven't seen it now and I like.
- 9:38Speaker 2: That as Americans we immediately go to have you seen it, Like,
- 9:42Speaker 2: it's not a book. Yeah yeah, it's a book that
- 9:44Speaker 2: came out ten years before the movie.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 9:46Speaker 1: But I've never read the book or seen the movie
- 9:49Speaker 1: neither of I I've only I only know it as
- 9:51Speaker 1: a kind of a reference.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Yeah. And the thing about this is like, is is
- 9:56Speaker 3: he under influence like like convention forms of influence in
- 10:01Speaker 3: blackmail and levers that you can have over a person,
- 10:03Speaker 3: or is it an actual Like there's more evidence for
- 10:06Speaker 3: that than it being an actual, like somebody sat him
- 10:09Speaker 3: down in fedim LSD while they played you know.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Fucking yeah. That's that's the thing.
- 10:14Speaker 2: As we especially when we get to the end the
- 10:17Speaker 2: term Manchurian candidate, people tend to think of it as
- 10:21Speaker 2: definitely involving brainwashing, but as it's been brought up throughout history,
- 10:27Speaker 2: people more tend to use it just to imply that
- 10:30Speaker 2: someone's under the control of a foreign government.
- 10:33Speaker 1: That just the double agent in general.
- 10:35Speaker 2: And working to destroy the unit. It's always the United States.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very very rarely like, oh, there's a Chinese
- 10:42Speaker 3: Manchurian candidate, you know.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, So the most basic definition an American president controlled
- 10:48Speaker 2: by a foreign government, regardless of how it happens. That's
- 10:51Speaker 2: how it's come to be known throughout the years. And
- 10:54Speaker 2: the phrase comes from the nineteen fifty nine Richard Condon
- 10:58Speaker 2: novel of the same name. In that book, Soldier's return
- 11:02Speaker 2: from the Korean War, brainwashed to believe in Communism, one
- 11:05Speaker 2: of them is programmed to unwittingly carry out an assassination.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Book got mixed reviews.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Yeah, which is interesting because it's so like, I've never
- 11:14Speaker 2: read the book, but I know exactly what Manchurian candidate means.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it's weird that something could be like maybe a
- 11:20Speaker 3: mediocre piece of writing but becomes such any ubiquitous term.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:24Speaker 2: It made Time magazine's list of the ten best bad
- 11:27Speaker 2: novels when it came out, but it was a bestseller
- 11:30Speaker 2: and it probably sold as well as it did because
- 11:33Speaker 2: back then communists infiltrating the government that was kind of
- 11:37Speaker 2: a concern.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Oh, I mean this was you know, the Eisenhower Nixon era. Yeah,
- 11:40Speaker 3: like that was that was like the easy way to
- 11:43Speaker 3: get everyone to pay. Like that's on Nixon rose to power,
- 11:46Speaker 3: is doing that. I mean this guy literally went from
- 11:48Speaker 3: you know this the congressman to the vice president and
- 11:51Speaker 3: like so like like ten years. That just a crazy
- 11:54Speaker 3: quick amount of time from just exploiting that fear. Yeah. Yeah,
- 11:58Speaker 3: so if you wrote a novel where you had this
- 12:00Speaker 3: novel concept or whatever. Uh so I could definitely see
- 12:03Speaker 3: how that would you catch on with people.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and it it's like we carried on with that forever,
- 12:10Speaker 2: like almost until nine. Like we had at that brief
- 12:14Speaker 2: period of time where the Soviet Union collapsed and nine
- 12:20Speaker 2: to eleven where we were like, are just crazy white dudes.
- 12:23Speaker 1: In America going to be the enemy now? Yeah, nine
- 12:26Speaker 1: to eleven happened.
- 12:27Speaker 3: We were like, oh okay, good, thanks, we need this
- 12:30Speaker 3: will tide us over until the aliens come, the fake
- 12:32Speaker 3: aliens that we've covered before on.
- 12:34Speaker 1: The show exactly.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, that was a weird. It is kind of
- 12:37Speaker 3: weird being in between villains.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. It doesn't happen very long at all. No, No,
- 12:43Speaker 1: it's never it's never long.
- 12:44Speaker 2: But but that was definitely a time where we were like,
- 12:47Speaker 2: who do we hate right now?
- 12:48Speaker 1: Like we don't know the internet?
- 12:50Speaker 3: This is this? Yeah, this is this the bad guys?
- 12:52Speaker 3: Yeah you know.
- 12:54Speaker 2: So another thing that happened around the time this book
- 12:58Speaker 2: came out, well after the Korean war started. There were
- 13:01Speaker 2: actually there was a captured American soldier who delivered a
- 13:04Speaker 2: speech on the radio that was just all North Korean propaganda.
- 13:10Speaker 2: But at one point, official estimates put the number of
- 13:13Speaker 2: US soldiers who likely collaborated with the enemy during the
- 13:16Speaker 2: Korean War at one in ten.
- 13:18Speaker 1: That's a lot, yeah, but I mean that's the estimate.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I think that's probably inflated by paranoia pretty heavily.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Well, the thing is, I didn't include it, but right
- 13:28Speaker 2: at the onset of the war, and for a few
- 13:30Speaker 2: years after the estimate was like one in six oh wow.
- 13:33Speaker 2: And it finally over the years they adjusted it to
- 13:36Speaker 2: one in ten, which leads me to believe, man, Koreans
- 13:39Speaker 2: must just talk a really good game.
- 13:41Speaker 1: We must be very persuasive.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean it's yeah, you know, these guys
- 13:44Speaker 3: GI's are going over to a brothel and and maybe
- 13:46Speaker 3: she's just like, yeah, hey, you know, take some take
- 13:48Speaker 3: some fentanyl and fucking listen to listen to me talk about,
- 13:52Speaker 3: you know, the means of production and how to seize
- 13:54Speaker 3: it or whatever. Yeah.
- 13:55Speaker 2: There were twenty one American soldiers who refused to return
- 13:58Speaker 2: to the US during the Korean War forty announced that
- 14:01Speaker 2: they'd become communists.
- 14:03Speaker 1: That's sixty one people. How many.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a lot of people that didn't come back
- 14:08Speaker 2: as communists.
- 14:09Speaker 3: That's like a that's a pretty goddamn small number, But
- 14:12Speaker 3: that's that's.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Pretty indicative of how American policy works. Like, that's the
- 14:17Speaker 2: war on terror right now. Like yet nine to eleven
- 14:20Speaker 2: put up good numbers, but it's also good numbers.
- 14:23Speaker 1: It's the wrong way to say it. Yeah, they racked
- 14:27Speaker 1: up some stats. Yeah, nine to eleven. They got a
- 14:30Speaker 1: couple of you know, banners hanging the rafters. Yeah, but
- 14:33Speaker 1: beyond that, attacks like that in this country are very,
- 14:37Speaker 1: very very rare, but they also are driving our entire
- 14:40Speaker 1: global policy right now.
- 14:42Speaker 3: It is just as a few and you know, a dude,
- 14:44Speaker 3: you know, at a mall or a school, just like.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Mancherian candidate, like we said, also was a nineteen
- 14:50Speaker 2: sixty two film starring Frank Sinatra. Huge flop, like it
- 14:53Speaker 2: didn't do well, but it was also hugely controversial in
- 14:57Speaker 2: Eastern Europe. Most countries there didn't get it until after
- 15:01Speaker 2: the collapse of the Soviet Union because of what it
- 15:04Speaker 2: was portraying, which yes, yeah, communism trying to infiltrate.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Being evil, Like they wouldn't let you show any of
- 15:09Speaker 1: that show.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Yeah, the film includes an assassination scene, and there was
- 15:13Speaker 2: concern at the time that it might inspire someone to
- 15:15Speaker 2: try the same thing in real life. JFK was assassinated
- 15:18Speaker 2: a year later in real life.
- 15:20Speaker 3: These these you know, these conspiratorial movies, at them they
- 15:23Speaker 3: get through to our kids. Yeah, just really it moves
- 15:26Speaker 3: the culture backwards.
- 15:29Speaker 2: They It's also rumored that he was a fan of
- 15:31Speaker 2: the book and intervened on behalf of the filmmakers to
- 15:34Speaker 2: try and get the movie made.
- 15:36Speaker 1: That's creepy. That is creepy. Even creepier.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Director John Frankenheimer was with Bobby Kennedy the night he
- 15:42Speaker 2: was killed.
- 15:42Speaker 3: That that's only not creepy to me because he was
- 15:45Speaker 3: in Hollywood.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he was at the Beverly Hills. And it's like, yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 1: every every director, every everyone wanted.
- 15:50Speaker 3: A piece of that that whole JFK like intervening and
- 15:53Speaker 3: like being a proponent for making that movie. It's like,
- 15:55Speaker 3: is that the president's way of like committing suicide by cop?
- 15:59Speaker 3: Is that his way of like showing up with his
- 16:01Speaker 3: hand in his pocket? You know, like pretending it's a
- 16:03Speaker 3: gun at the police station. I'm shirt.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I don't want to live anymore.
- 16:09Speaker 2: So that's kind of the background on the term Manchurian candidate.
- 16:12Speaker 2: So now let's talk about Trump and Russia, because a lot, lot,
- 16:17Speaker 2: lot of things.
- 16:18Speaker 1: There was a lot to cover when it comes to Trump.
- 16:21Speaker 3: It's just like there's so much shit it is hard
- 16:23Speaker 3: to suss out a through point and a meaning and
- 16:27Speaker 3: a verdict. You know. Yeah, it's kind of a cacophony
- 16:31Speaker 3: of just a billion little things.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's really a litmus test for me and
- 16:36Speaker 2: Trump supporters. Like if if you get a Trump supporter
- 16:38Speaker 2: to say, oh, yeah, man, this Russia thing is nothing
- 16:41Speaker 2: that you have a disciple on your hands. Yeah, because
- 16:44Speaker 2: there's no one in the world who shouldn't be kind
- 16:46Speaker 2: of concerned, oh certain about Trump's ties to Russia, with the.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Whole Russia thing.
- 16:50Speaker 3: I also, I just don't think you also should not
- 16:54Speaker 3: discount the fact that America is stupid enough to elect Trump,
- 16:58Speaker 3: right like this is like this, I mean, they did
- 17:00Speaker 3: something and they're trying to help, you know, I think
- 17:02Speaker 3: it fairly clearly, But it's like we also are just
- 17:05Speaker 3: fucking goons exactly like, let's not forget, let's not lose
- 17:09Speaker 3: sight of that.
- 17:09Speaker 1: That might be the bigger issue. Yeah, we're not We're
- 17:12Speaker 1: not a thinking people.
- 17:13Speaker 3: I was just in Muscogee, Oklahoma. Oh boy, I went
- 17:16Speaker 3: to one of the walmarts, and just what mountain dew
- 17:18Speaker 3: does to a gene pool is fucking astonishing. I was
- 17:22Speaker 3: just oh wow, I didn't know Velveta made an anti freeze.
- 17:26Speaker 3: You know, it was just like these lauval just Larry
- 17:29Speaker 3: the cable guy presents floor mats.
- 17:32Speaker 2: You know, mountain dew really becomes a dividing point in
- 17:34Speaker 2: a person's life. Like if you carry on drinking mountain
- 17:38Speaker 2: dew regularly into adulthood, something probably went like I was
- 17:42Speaker 2: like a little askew in near path.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I see why people like have five kids by the
- 17:47Speaker 3: time of the twenty fives, because when they turn twenty five,
- 17:49Speaker 3: they become a physical embodiment of a nightmare. Like everybody
- 17:53Speaker 3: just they age like avocados, where it's just like all right, good, good,
- 17:58Speaker 3: hot Southern Belt and then.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Oh my god, like what happened to you?
- 18:03Speaker 3: Like, oh wow, cowboy, cowboy fuck like night shift at
- 18:07Speaker 3: the gas station just overnight.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah, don't discount that we could have elected
- 18:12Speaker 2: a foreign agent to be president.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Yeah, just just probably did of her own dumb ass relition.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:17Speaker 3: I mean, she's just fucking everybody's got no one's got
- 18:20Speaker 3: nothing in this shit, you know.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's uh so let first let's talk about his
- 18:26Speaker 2: cabinet and their ties to Russia.
- 18:28Speaker 1: We'll just go through.
- 18:29Speaker 2: There's so many yeah, uh, starting with Michael Flynn. He
- 18:32Speaker 2: was a foreign policy advisor and briefly the fucking National
- 18:36Speaker 2: security advisor.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Yeah, for like seventeen days or something like that.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeah, he pled guilty to lying to the FBI about
- 18:44Speaker 2: his dealings with Russia, and specifically he lied about conversations
- 18:48Speaker 2: with Russian Ambassador Saragai Kisliak.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, and reports indicate that it was.
- 18:55Speaker 3: In before he was the Russian ambassador, he was a
- 18:58Speaker 3: Mad magazine sound effect.
- 19:02Speaker 2: So there are reports that indicate Michael Flynn was in
- 19:05Speaker 2: contact with the Trump transition team during this time as well.
- 19:10Speaker 2: And that's basically the crux of the lie there is
- 19:13Speaker 2: that he was in contact with Russia and claimed it
- 19:16Speaker 2: wasn't happening while he was working for the transition team.
- 19:20Speaker 2: He called Kislyak several times the same day Obama announced
- 19:24Speaker 2: sanctions on Russia for meddling in the twenty sixteen election.
- 19:28Speaker 2: It's made several appearances on and received speaking fees from
- 19:32Speaker 2: Russia Today, which is a news network often described as
- 19:35Speaker 2: the Kremlins principal international propaganda outlet. And he sat next
- 19:39Speaker 2: to Putin at the dinner where he received that speaking fee.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Acting Attorney General Sallyate's a career national security official, and
- 19:47Speaker 2: Obama himself all warn the Trump administration about Flynn at
- 19:50Speaker 2: various points, and they still appointed him national security Like
- 19:56Speaker 2: that any one of these things alone under any other
- 20:00Speaker 2: administration in the past, I think would have really fucking
- 20:03Speaker 2: derailed that administration.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Oh tot. I mean not that it's not that it's
- 20:07Speaker 3: like on the rails, but I mean there's something about
- 20:09Speaker 3: the way that Trump handles these things where he's just
- 20:11Speaker 3: like he just create It's it's just like he like
- 20:14Speaker 3: it's like that old thing about propaganda. It's like exhaust
- 20:17Speaker 3: critical thinking and annihilate the truth. It's just like it's
- 20:19Speaker 3: so much You're just like, I don't fucking know any more,
- 20:22Speaker 3: We okay, man, Like it's just it's just every single
- 20:25Speaker 3: day and like you don't I don't even know if
- 20:26Speaker 3: it's delibered, if it's just a side effect of him
- 20:28Speaker 3: being a fucking senile old racist, but I mean it's like, yeah,
- 20:33Speaker 3: just a bombardment of this ship, and you're just like
- 20:36Speaker 3: but by the time you fucking you're done processing like
- 20:39Speaker 3: what it means for him to tweet about this and
- 20:41Speaker 3: ruin that, and it's like, Okay, yeah, I totally forgot
- 20:44Speaker 3: about that guy, you know, the playing both sides of
- 20:46Speaker 3: the coin on the fucking sanctions issue or whatever.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and just imagine, like in the eighties, if Reagan
- 20:53Speaker 2: at some point is talking all this anti Russia stuff
- 20:57Speaker 2: and then it comes out that he's got all of
- 20:58Speaker 2: these business ties.
- 20:59Speaker 1: To Russia, people would have flipped the ship.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I stopped watching wrestling because, uh, Nikolai Volkov and Sergeant
- 21:07Speaker 2: Slaughter I think it was Sergeant Slaughter. It was someone
- 21:10Speaker 2: were caught in a limo together on the way to WrestleMania,
- 21:13Speaker 2: and I was like, they're supposed to be enemies. Yeah,
- 21:15Speaker 2: there's collusion, and they were in a limo doing cocaine
- 21:19Speaker 2: together before the first or either first or second WrestleMania,
- 21:22Speaker 2: and I was like, this fake bullshit.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so funny. If only if only America be
- 21:27Speaker 3: as deserting as you are with exactly with with your
- 21:29Speaker 3: entertainment and your your news sources.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Trump's a wrestler too, basically, yeah, you fucking yeah, that's so.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Let's talk about Paul Manifort, this fucking guy. Have you
- 21:39Speaker 2: ever seen the Netflix documentary? Uh? Is it called Get
- 21:43Speaker 2: Me Roger Stone? Yes, that's a good fucking doubt. And
- 21:48Speaker 2: he was Paul Manifort's like main business partner for a
- 21:52Speaker 2: long long time. But Roger Stone hasn't really been caught
- 21:55Speaker 2: up in any of this Russia stuff, which is interesting.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Well, Rogers Zone just like it's it's so interesting seeing
- 22:00Speaker 3: how far back he got, like just literally back to Watergate.
- 22:03Speaker 3: You know, yeah, he got that list of all the
- 22:05Speaker 3: you know, like the financial like entities involved in the
- 22:08Speaker 3: very bottom. It's like Roger Stone for like fifty dollars
- 22:11Speaker 3: or something. He's like, oh, it's kind of cool, you know. Yeah.
- 22:13Speaker 2: He's like the face of the shadow government basically.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, like he's he's just a.
- 22:19Speaker 2: He doesn't have an official role, but you know, he
- 22:21Speaker 2: kind of runs a lot of things.
- 22:23Speaker 3: He's like some kind of like fucking like evil like
- 22:26Speaker 3: like imp that shows up on a spawn comic with
- 22:29Speaker 3: a briefcase who's like, yeah, you want to do you
- 22:31Speaker 3: want to make your powers stronger for at the cost
- 22:35Speaker 3: of your soul. Like it's like that's his whole vibe.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Yeah, And Paul Manifort for a long time was his, uh,
- 22:42Speaker 2: one of his main business partners. He was also Manifort
- 22:45Speaker 2: was a former Trump campaign chair. He was indicted in
- 22:48Speaker 2: October along with his aid Rick Gates, on twelve different counts,
- 22:53Speaker 2: including conspiracy against the United States, conspiracy to launder money,
- 22:57Speaker 2: being an unregistered agent of a foreign per false and
- 23:01Speaker 2: misleading Farrah statements which is Foreign Agents Registration Act false statements,
- 23:06Speaker 2: and seven counts of failure to file reports of foreign
- 23:09Speaker 2: bank and financial accounts. But Connor, these charges all date
- 23:14Speaker 2: back to before he was Trump's campaign share, so it's
- 23:17Speaker 2: probably nothing.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Oh it's done related.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Yeah, completely unrelated. And that is an argument you'll hear
- 23:23Speaker 2: from Trump supporters like, well that was before, but still
- 23:27Speaker 2: it's in his background.
- 23:29Speaker 1: The ties to Russia are there.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't matter if they just formed when he
- 23:35Speaker 2: joined Trump's team. It's that all of these people with
- 23:38Speaker 2: these past ties all of a sudden joined the team
- 23:40Speaker 2: at once. Yeah, you're insane. If you think that's not
- 23:43Speaker 2: a little weird, voters of America.
- 23:46Speaker 3: It'd be like, I don't know, I've started a Dungeons
- 23:49Speaker 3: and Dragons campaign and everybody happens to be a pedophile,
- 23:53Speaker 3: and it's just like, well, I don't know, Well, we
- 23:56Speaker 3: touched all those kids before we started the campaign, you know. Yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 3: we're we're just trying to clear these uh you know,
- 24:02Speaker 3: hobgoblins out of this woman's backyard for a few gold
- 24:05Speaker 3: pieces and a dinner at the tavern. Ye and uh
- 24:08Speaker 3: oh yeah.
- 24:08Speaker 2: But I mean by that resonant, by that reasoning, anything
- 24:12Speaker 2: that happened in the past doesn't matter. Yeah, like in
- 24:15Speaker 2: any job capacity, Like it would be the same as
- 24:19Speaker 2: comedy if we had Cosby on you, because you know
- 24:23Speaker 2: he would do this podcast.
- 24:25Speaker 1: The emails, I mean, cause, give it a break. Yeah,
- 24:28Speaker 1: you're embarrassed.
- 24:29Speaker 3: I appreciate you taking the time to type those as
- 24:31Speaker 3: a blind person, to just dictate Camille tell the white
- 24:35Speaker 3: conspiracy boys that I would like to come out and
- 24:39Speaker 3: talk about the chargers against me.
- 24:41Speaker 1: And this is the first time I've ever tried to
- 24:43Speaker 1: do it a Bill Cosby. It was pretty good.
- 24:45Speaker 3: It wasn't it wasn't.
- 24:46Speaker 2: As bad as everyone can kind of do a Cosby's.
- 24:50Speaker 1: It's not a small club, you know. It's like all
- 24:52Speaker 1: my impressions are not like.
- 24:54Speaker 3: This is hard, really difficult stuff here. Like it's like
- 24:59Speaker 3: like it's they're not tough, so they're effective though.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Uh.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Let's talk about George Papadopoulos. He was listed as a
- 25:07Speaker 2: foreign policy advisor. When Trump was interviewed by the Washington
- 25:10Speaker 2: Post during the campaign, he pled guilty to lying to
- 25:13Speaker 2: the FBI as part of a plea deal with Mueller.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Jeff Sessions later testified that he was unaware of any
- 25:20Speaker 2: context between Papadopoulos and the Russians. About a week later,
- 25:23Speaker 2: a fucking picture comes out of Papadopolis, Trump, and Sessions
- 25:29Speaker 2: all sitting in the meeting, which is a foreign policy meeting,
- 25:32Speaker 2: where Papadopolis was discussing his Russian contexts.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, well I just don't remember, you know,
- 25:39Speaker 3: like like I understand doing the I don't recall thing like.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Do they have to photograph every meeting? Is that like
- 25:46Speaker 1: a government law?
- 25:46Speaker 3: I wonder, I mean, I hope, so it probably should
- 25:48Speaker 3: be clearly you know, yeah, I mean it's helping out now,
- 25:51Speaker 3: but I mean definitely, but I mean i'd like, I like,
- 25:54Speaker 3: I understand, like that's not as big of a turnoff
- 25:57Speaker 3: to me as it did, Like cause I forget all
- 26:00Speaker 3: the time.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Yeah, like go get in fights with my girlfriend or
- 26:03Speaker 1: something and she's like, we did you ever? Was that
- 26:05Speaker 1: the only time that you did this?
- 26:07Speaker 3: And this is not like I'm cheating or something about, right,
- 26:09Speaker 3: And I'm just like from what I remember, I mean,
- 26:12Speaker 3: I don't know, I might. I might two months when
- 26:14Speaker 3: I'd be like, oh shit, that's right, I did, you know,
- 26:17Speaker 3: like yeah, blah blah blah blah blah, and uh so yeah,
- 26:20Speaker 3: I understand using that as like a legal defense and
- 26:22Speaker 3: like I don't get like that mad at that, but
- 26:24Speaker 3: it's like.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Duh, yeah yeah, at least after the pictures come out,
- 26:28Speaker 2: you should at least go.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah I remember
- 26:32Speaker 1: that now.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:33Speaker 2: But even after the pictures come out, they're like, nah,
- 26:35Speaker 2: he was just getting his coffee. Like the motherfucker getting
- 26:38Speaker 2: you coffee doesn't sit at the table, no, Yeah, like
- 26:40Speaker 2: they come in and drop that shit off and piece
- 26:42Speaker 2: the fuck out.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:43Speaker 2: There's also Donald Trump Junior. He took a meeting in
- 26:47Speaker 2: June twenty sixteen with a Kremlin linked lawyer who claimed
- 26:50Speaker 2: to have dirt on Hillary Clinton, two weeks after Dad
- 26:53Speaker 2: lockdown the nomination. Now, this is another example of it's
- 26:59Speaker 2: insane to me how blatantly the people tied to this
- 27:03Speaker 2: administration will just lie, yeah, and just change their story.
- 27:07Speaker 2: He told The New York Times that the purpose of
- 27:10Speaker 2: this meeting was to get dirt on Hillary Clinton. I
- 27:14Speaker 2: get that the Trumps aren't dumb per se, but they're
- 27:18Speaker 2: also not that smart. No, I think they all they
- 27:22Speaker 2: think they're smarter than they are. I can picture Trump
- 27:26Speaker 2: Junior going into this meeting like, yeah, man, we were
- 27:29Speaker 2: seeing what kind of dirt we could get on Hillary Clinton,
- 27:31Speaker 2: and then the interviewer going that's a crime in him
- 27:34Speaker 2: going what.
- 27:36Speaker 1: That's crime?
- 27:37Speaker 2: Yeah joke, yeah, yeah, No, I was there to talk
- 27:40Speaker 2: about Russian So yeah, he changed his story three different times.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Well, he had that he like put out those Facebook
- 27:49Speaker 3: messages with wiki leaks, which is so funny. It's like
- 27:51Speaker 3: the Donald Trump Junior page just messaging the wiki leaks page.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Something about that is like you're not even gonna go
- 27:56Speaker 3: through some kind of like I don't know email, that's
- 27:59Speaker 3: like security, like or anything. You're just just on Facebook Messenger.
- 28:04Speaker 3: You're gonna talk about this and he's like, yeah, I
- 28:05Speaker 3: love it, especially sometime right beforehand would be great.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I would be so skeptical if Wiki Leaks reached out
- 28:11Speaker 1: to me through traditional communications channel, Oh for sure.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yeah. I thought I'd have to go to like a
- 28:16Speaker 3: payphone in the woods. I was like, who put this here?
- 28:19Speaker 3: I'm one hundred miles from a gas stage. There's just
- 28:21Speaker 3: a payphone in the woods. Yeah.
- 28:22Speaker 2: I'm not friends with but I know the hacker that
- 28:26Speaker 2: when Bradley Manning now Chelsea Manning uploaded all that stuff.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I know the hacker who turned that guy in. And
- 28:34Speaker 2: I've been trying to get him on the podcast for
- 28:37Speaker 2: the lost time and he like won't communicate without using
- 28:42Speaker 2: these weird like chat programs that require.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Keys oh yeah, yeah yeah, and encryption.
- 28:48Speaker 2: So like, if fucking wiki Leaks just emailed me, I'd
- 28:51Speaker 2: be like, come on, you're not fucking WikiLeaks.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Get the fuck out of here. Oh yeah, No.
- 28:54Speaker 3: I mean if if mister wiki Leaks, if that business
- 28:59Speaker 3: suit with a globe ahead walked up to me like
- 29:01Speaker 3: a jack in the box commercial was like, Connor, we
- 29:04Speaker 3: have some we have some we have a dossier we
- 29:06Speaker 3: want you to disseminate on.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Mean boy, I'd be like, I don't trust you, bro.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Like yeah. Also, three weeks before Trump before election date.
- 29:15Speaker 3: That's like, that's like talking to the robot devil from Futurama,
- 29:17Speaker 3: Like what the hands I'm gonna have these?
- 29:19Speaker 1: Amazing?
- 29:19Speaker 3: Okay? Great? Uh?
- 29:21Speaker 1: Three weeks before election day, Trump Junior also flew to
- 29:25Speaker 1: Paris to attend a dinner hosted by the Center of
- 29:27Speaker 1: Political and Foreign Affairs. That's a think tank that was
- 29:30Speaker 1: started by a wealthy French couple who are super open
- 29:33Speaker 1: and honest about their business ties to Russia, and the
- 29:36Speaker 1: think tank also promotes Kremlin policy and ideas and once
- 29:40Speaker 1: nominated Putin for the Nobel Peace Prize, which that's adorable.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Very funny.
- 29:43Speaker 1: I think you can just nominate anybody, can't you.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 29:46Speaker 2: I think so, there you must. I wonder if you
- 29:47Speaker 2: have to put money up to do it.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Maybe maybe it's a money thing.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Maybe it's just like a vote from a you know,
- 29:52Speaker 3: the delegates of the Peace Organization like.
- 29:55Speaker 2: That somehow lends credibility to it. Like when people are like, oh,
- 29:59Speaker 2: I'm on this day site, but I'm on the paid versions.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Oh, everyone's cool.
- 30:02Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm on RAA where you have creeps have
- 30:05Speaker 3: thirty dollars a month to spend.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Also, yeah, where you have.
- 30:07Speaker 3: To exaggerate your IMDb credits to get on. I know
- 30:10Speaker 3: people that only do like the ones for like famous
- 30:12Speaker 3: people or whatever.
- 30:13Speaker 1: That's amazing. And I'm just like, you're not that famous.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you're not. They let you in that. This seems wrong,
- 30:22Speaker 3: it really does. Let's talk about Jeff Sessions. He is
- 30:27Speaker 3: Attorney general.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Still he spoke with Russian Ambassador Seragai kiss Leak twice
- 30:32Speaker 2: while still a senator but serving as a surrogate for
- 30:35Speaker 2: the Trump campaign. This includes a meeting in September at
- 30:39Speaker 2: his Senate office.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Quote.
- 30:42Speaker 2: This is a quote from the Washington Post at the
- 30:44Speaker 2: height of what US intelligence officials say was a Russian
- 30:48Speaker 2: cyber campaign to upend the US presidential race. So that's
- 30:53Speaker 2: another Russia contact in Trump's cabinet. Jared Kushner, Trump's son
- 30:58Speaker 2: in law. He attended that Hillary Clinton dirt meeting with
- 31:01Speaker 2: the Kremlin lawyer and led the push to fire Komi
- 31:05Speaker 2: after he refused to stop the Flint investigation. Russian Ambassador
- 31:08Speaker 2: Saragai Kissleyak again claims Kushner tried to set up a
- 31:12Speaker 2: private back channel with the Kremlin.
- 31:14Speaker 1: What the fuck? Yeah, what do you like, why would
- 31:18Speaker 1: you need that?
- 31:20Speaker 3: Like any one of these things again should be enough
- 31:24Speaker 3: that it's like every voter would be skeptical. I understand
- 31:27Speaker 3: a back channel during the Cuban missile christ like, yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 3: you got it. There's times where it's like, oh yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 3: we got to have a private line right in, but
- 31:35Speaker 3: for just a transition, now, just yeah, that's campaign Like
- 31:38Speaker 3: that's like that seems nefarious, Like there's no good reason
- 31:42Speaker 3: why that would be the case. But I mean I'm
- 31:45Speaker 3: sure like solanse it birthday party, like you know, and it's.
- 31:50Speaker 2: The kind of thing where I don't know how a
- 31:53Speaker 2: Trump voter explains that kind of thing away, but I'm
- 31:56Speaker 2: sure they would.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Like, yeah, just be fake news. Talk to people.
- 31:59Speaker 3: There's like little there's like little like information tidbits that
- 32:03Speaker 3: you can like gravitate to. Like I I was talking
- 32:05Speaker 3: to someone about the Russian stuff and he was like, oh,
- 32:08Speaker 3: but I mean only only like you know, four out
- 32:11Speaker 3: of the twenty one intelligence agencies have concluded that there's
- 32:14Speaker 3: any collusion. It's like like like and that's like whatever
- 32:17Speaker 3: the number, I forget the exact number. It's true, but
- 32:19Speaker 3: that's because the Coast Guard has an intelligence agency and
- 32:23Speaker 3: they don't have They didn't launch a Russian investigation like
- 32:26Speaker 3: you know, like the Post Office didn't like you know,
- 32:29Speaker 3: or whatever these other things. So it's just like, yeah,
- 32:31Speaker 3: I mean that sounds damning on it And then you
- 32:33Speaker 3: look into it and you're like, oh no, like the
- 32:36Speaker 3: the FBI and the big ones.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Did you know at one point we're six different intelligence
- 32:40Speaker 2: agencies all working toward looking into this. Yeah, so people
- 32:45Speaker 2: are concerned. People who know more about intelligence and foreign
- 32:49Speaker 2: policy than any of us are really fucking concerned. We
- 32:53Speaker 2: got three more of the cabinet members to get through
- 32:55Speaker 2: carter Page again, once listed by Trump as a foreign
- 32:58Speaker 2: policy I mean the campaign. His name sounds like a
- 33:01Speaker 2: brand of high end, like Toddler clothing. Yeah, like we
- 33:04Speaker 2: only shop at carter Page to get Khaki's for any branden.
- 33:08Speaker 2: He absolutely looks like the guy who on an episode
- 33:12Speaker 2: of twenty four the minute he shows up, you're like.
- 33:14Speaker 1: That's a spy.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that guy is totally.
- 33:16Speaker 2: The one, Like he's got that. He's just got a
- 33:19Speaker 2: squirrely fucking face. Oh yeah, they kind of like smooth cheeked,
- 33:23Speaker 2: just like tight like little mousey brown hair, just like oh,
- 33:27Speaker 2: I don't know, like balding, but fine with it. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:31Speaker 2: put a hat on.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Uh.
- 33:34Speaker 2: He worked for Merrill Lynch in Moscow for three years,
- 33:37Speaker 2: formed a goddamn company in Russia while he was there.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Referred to Russia's takeover of Crimea as a quote so
- 33:44Speaker 2: called annexation and openly admitted to meeting with Russian with uh,
- 33:49Speaker 2: that same Russian ambassador during the campaign.
- 33:52Speaker 3: My so called annexation on TV too.
- 33:56Speaker 2: It's crazy. There's another guy, Boris e. Fstein, who is
- 33:59Speaker 2: another my Skouboorne campaign advisor, special Assistant to the President.
- 34:03Speaker 2: He also said on Live TV during a CNN interview
- 34:06Speaker 2: that Russia quote did not seize Crimea. And the thing
- 34:10Speaker 2: is that is the opinion of the Trump administration literally,
- 34:14Speaker 2: and no one else and Russia and Russia and the
- 34:18Speaker 2: entire rest of it. Yeah, and I didn't put it
- 34:25Speaker 2: in the notes. But another thing, a lot of these
- 34:28Speaker 2: campaign advisors, This is from an article on esquire dot
- 34:33Speaker 2: com called the Trump administrations Russia ties fittingly enough, and
- 34:37Speaker 2: they also mentioned in that article during the Republican National Convention.
- 34:41Speaker 2: When he got the nomination, one of the first things
- 34:44Speaker 2: he did was change the Republican platform to include language
- 34:49Speaker 2: about Ukraine in Russia and how we shouldn't sanction Russia
- 34:54Speaker 2: over what they did in Ukraine. And it's like immediate,
- 34:57Speaker 2: like day one. Yeah, you're changing, right end, just going
- 35:00Speaker 2: to to a softer policy on Russia. Like that also
- 35:04Speaker 2: pretty fucking strange.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Also, Rex Tillerson, he struck a deal with This is
- 35:08Speaker 2: actually one of the most interesting. He struck a deal
- 35:11Speaker 2: with the Russian government to drill in the Russian Arctic
- 35:14Speaker 2: in twenty eleven.
- 35:15Speaker 3: It was like one of the hugest deals ever made,
- 35:17Speaker 3: Like a massive deal, billions of billions and trillions and
- 35:20Speaker 3: zillions of dollars.
- 35:21Speaker 2: And then those sanctions that we put in place kept
- 35:25Speaker 2: Exon from carrying out this deal and they are literally
- 35:30Speaker 2: to this day just waiting for those sanctions to be
- 35:33Speaker 2: lifted so they can go forward with this deal in Russia. Yeah, like,
- 35:37Speaker 2: that's not that's a huge fucking conflict of interest, even
- 35:40Speaker 2: if he's not.
- 35:41Speaker 1: The CEO anymore. Yeah, it's not like he's the disgraced
- 35:44Speaker 1: former CEO. He just quit.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Yeah, to become our fucking secretary of State.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's like change Halliburt and it's the
- 35:51Speaker 3: same thing. Yeah, yeah, it's exactly the same thing. So
- 35:54Speaker 3: and yeah, so just awarded the Russian Order of Friendship,
- 35:58Speaker 3: where I just I guess they give you like a
- 36:00Speaker 3: golden turnip with like a crying woman, you know, like I.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Hope he gave him Robert Craft's super Bowl ring. Yeah,
- 36:07Speaker 2: remember that when Putin stole Robert craft super Bowl ring.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that was pretty amazing, very funny.
- 36:13Speaker 2: So let's talk about some of Trump's own ties to Russia. Ooh,
- 36:16Speaker 2: the too long, I'll tell you that, am I right?
- 36:18Speaker 3: Guys? Hey, so that joke to Bill Maher for fifty
- 36:23Speaker 3: thousand dollars.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Let's talk about Trump Tower Moscow. On October twenty eighth,
- 36:28Speaker 2: twenty fifteen, he signed a Trump signed a letter of
- 36:31Speaker 2: intent to build a Trump branded building in Moscow. According
- 36:35Speaker 2: to the Washington Post, this was just a few weeks
- 36:37Speaker 2: after he appeared on Face the Nation to say, quote,
- 36:40Speaker 2: I think I would probably get along with him very
- 36:42Speaker 2: well about Vladimir Putin. Putin returned that in December, calling
- 36:47Speaker 2: Trump quote a talented person and the absolute leader of
- 36:50Speaker 2: the presidential race.
- 36:52Speaker 3: This motherfucker just plays people like there's a great clip
- 36:55Speaker 3: of Bush Bush two talking about meeting him and he's
- 36:59Speaker 3: like I got a glimpse of his soul, you know,
- 37:02Speaker 3: and he just like you know, and he's talking about
- 37:05Speaker 3: how like Grady felt like he was and like he
- 37:07Speaker 3: could really work with him, and then over time you
- 37:09Speaker 3: feel like he lost him to authoritarianism. In that book,
- 37:11Speaker 3: I talk about a lot Bush and chaining with days
- 37:14Speaker 3: of fire Bush and chaining in the White House, and
- 37:15Speaker 3: I'm just like, well, we you didn't you didn't hear
- 37:19Speaker 3: about those apartment bombings, like you didn't, Like.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's I want to meet Putin and just see
- 37:24Speaker 2: what kind of like because he's got to be like
- 37:26Speaker 2: a mystery VH one level pickup artist. Oh yeah, for
- 37:30Speaker 2: sure he's getting mystery guy.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Dude. I follow Mystery on Facebook, and if you don't
- 37:34Speaker 3: fucking get on it, because he'll just post like I
- 37:37Speaker 3: haven't seen my children in years. And then the next
- 37:40Speaker 3: day he's like, we're running a pussy grabbing workshop in Belgium.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Me and Bexter are taking reservations. Now learn how to
- 37:47Speaker 3: find the dumb hat that unlocks your entered rape potential,
- 37:51Speaker 3: and it's just it's the funniest fucking shit because it's
- 37:53Speaker 3: like I'm it'll be just like sad personal shit. And
- 37:56Speaker 3: like there was one that the moment I started following
- 37:58Speaker 3: was he's like, I left my big fuzzy hat at
- 38:01Speaker 3: a woman's house. He's like, rip, you know, nineteen ninety
- 38:03Speaker 3: seven to president or whatever, and I'm just like, no,
- 38:05Speaker 3: the big fuzzy no, the iconic dumbfuzzers.
- 38:08Speaker 1: We're gonna buy that in an auction someday.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Oh dude, Yeah, they're gonna find that shit, like when
- 38:11Speaker 3: they found that Declaration of Independence like on the back
- 38:14Speaker 3: of a painting in a woman's house.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Putin is so transparently evil, Like, yes, so many bad
- 38:20Speaker 2: things about him, but also.
- 38:22Speaker 1: He's one of those dudes who, like, you see a.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Picture of him on a horse with no shirt and
- 38:27Speaker 2: you're like, I wish my president was that cool.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Yeah you do. I mean he's just got he's just
- 38:31Speaker 3: got the sauce or a little something called sauce, and yeah,
- 38:35Speaker 3: you fucking have it or you don't, he's got it.
- 38:37Speaker 3: You know.
- 38:38Speaker 2: We talked about the Russian apartment bombings and we watched
- 38:41Speaker 2: that video where he walked into U whatever their version
- 38:44Speaker 2: of parliament is.
- 38:45Speaker 1: I think it's called parliament. Yeah, And he was doing
- 38:47Speaker 1: this it's called parliament with air quotes around him. He
- 38:50Speaker 1: was doing this weird walk where he was only moving
- 38:52Speaker 1: one arm and someone in the comment said, oh, yeah,
- 38:55Speaker 1: that's a thing in Russia to insinuate that you're carrying
- 38:57Speaker 1: a gun. And I was like, that's so dope, that's
- 38:59Speaker 1: fucking awes.
- 39:00Speaker 2: I would like if Trump did that, I'd be like, okay,
- 39:03Speaker 2: all right, that's pretty neat.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Yeah, but he doesn't. If he but he's just like,
- 39:07Speaker 3: I'm gonna put the nuclear football and a fanny pack
- 39:09Speaker 3: with my name on it, you know.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Instead he gets on Air Force one and have you
- 39:13Speaker 2: seen that video of his hair. Oh yeah, Like he's
- 39:16Speaker 2: got a comb over that starts at the front of
- 39:18Speaker 2: his head and goes all the way to the back.
- 39:20Speaker 3: It's like several folds. Yeah, It's like he folds it
- 39:23Speaker 3: over like two or three times.
- 39:24Speaker 1: It's terrifying. It's so fine to look at.
- 39:27Speaker 3: I mean, the hair, like it's it's the oldest like
- 39:29Speaker 3: thing to joke about it. But it's just like I
- 39:31Speaker 3: still don't understand mathematically how it works, Like I don't
- 39:34Speaker 3: think you could replicate that hair in a laboratory, like
- 39:36Speaker 3: you couldn't.
- 39:37Speaker 2: It is Trump brand hair. Yeah, that like you can
- 39:40Speaker 2: get that nowhere else. It's fucking creepy. This was another
- 39:43Speaker 2: Trump response to Putin's affection. It's always a great honor
- 39:49Speaker 2: to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly
- 39:51Speaker 2: respected within his own country and beyond. I have always
- 39:55Speaker 2: felt that Russia and the United States should be able
- 39:57Speaker 2: to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism, restoring
- 40:00Speaker 2: world peace, not to mention trade and all the other
- 40:03Speaker 2: benefits derived from mutual respect. So no, he's got no
- 40:06Speaker 2: ties to Russia.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Yeah, what the fuck? Uh, there's being cordial and then
- 40:11Speaker 3: there's like sloppy toppy, you know.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:14Speaker 2: And there was also that famous MSNBC interview December eighteenth,
- 40:18Speaker 2: twenty fifteen. This is another Trump quote. He's running his
- 40:21Speaker 2: country and at least he's a leader, unlike what we
- 40:23Speaker 2: have in this country. And the person interviewing him ass
- 40:26Speaker 2: about Putin killing journalists, and Trump says, I think our
- 40:30Speaker 2: country does plenty of killing also, yeah, which that alans
- 40:33Speaker 2: a pretty huge problem.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that's probably true, but I mean you
- 40:37Speaker 3: should know it's one hundred percent you're trying to get
- 40:40Speaker 3: the job.
- 40:40Speaker 1: It's like you don't but even even putin lies about it.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, like he knows better than to be like, yes,
- 40:46Speaker 1: that's exactly what we do. Tim Dillon is so funny.
- 40:49Speaker 3: He's a he's a comic gizz a podcast with conspiracy
- 40:52Speaker 3: shit too. And he was talking about like the sex scanty,
- 40:54Speaker 3: the pedophilia in Hollywood and he's like, you know, this
- 40:57Speaker 3: goes all the way up to Spielberg. He's like, if
- 40:59Speaker 3: it goes all the way up to Peep, He's like,
- 41:00Speaker 3: come on, cover it up, Like come on, oh, we're
- 41:03Speaker 3: losing so much culture. Cover it up, like like you're
- 41:06Speaker 3: trying to be the president. Cover it up. Just like
- 41:08Speaker 3: at least you know your job. It's it's not your
- 41:12Speaker 3: job to talk about that's our job. You're taking away
- 41:14Speaker 3: hard working podcasting Russ Belled America jobs, you know exactly.
- 41:19Speaker 3: I do think that first comment the uh, he's running
- 41:21Speaker 3: this country and at least he's a leader, and like
- 41:22Speaker 3: what we have in this country, that's just clearly him
- 41:25Speaker 3: just like dissing out of his ass, like that's yeah, he's.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Just shitting on Obama at that point.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean it's that's just like he just goes
- 41:31Speaker 3: in his grab bag of like fucking controversy and he's
- 41:34Speaker 3: just like, yeah, well, at least he's the leader, you know, like,
- 41:37Speaker 3: you know, at least he doesn't have a black wife.
- 41:39Speaker 2: I mean, I think he said kind of the same
- 41:42Speaker 2: thing about Kim Jong un at one point.
- 41:44Speaker 3: I think he did yeah, yeah, well, and like you'd
- 41:46Speaker 3: be I think it was almost exactly the same thing was,
- 41:48Speaker 3: at least he's leading his country.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Yeah, what a fucking guy. So let's talk about Trump. Soho.
- 41:54Speaker 2: This is a crazy fucking story for starters. It doesn't
- 41:58Speaker 2: get much more appropriate than this. It's built on the
- 42:00Speaker 2: side of a nineteenth century burial vault of a church
- 42:04Speaker 2: known for its abolitionist stance and inclusion of African Americans.
- 42:08Speaker 3: That's so fucking good. It's so berbick right.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Off the bat.
- 42:12Speaker 2: It's like the Trump reboot of Poltergeist, where it's built
- 42:16Speaker 2: on top of a fucking burial ground.
- 42:18Speaker 3: It was developed by mister Spielberg. You're sharing office space
- 42:21Speaker 3: with Jim Bree. I don't understand. He's like, well, yeah,
- 42:24Speaker 3: they're the floor floor down from us. We like to.
- 42:27Speaker 1: They like to be close to the action.
- 42:29Speaker 2: It was developed by a mysterious bunch called the bay
- 42:33Speaker 2: Rock Group. In a lawsuit, Bayrock's former which great name
- 42:37Speaker 2: by the way, bay Rock.
- 42:38Speaker 1: That's fantastic. Yeah. Absolutely. Uh.
- 42:41Speaker 2: It's like a like a Baywatch spin off or something
- 42:44Speaker 2: bay Rock.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I would have watched the show for.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Sure, and it's just like Tit's bouncing on like you know,
- 42:48Speaker 3: like a like Carabineer cord.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Playing the shred and the guitar when they run out
- 42:52Speaker 2: to fucking save people.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd watch that.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Uh.
- 42:56Speaker 2: In a lawsuit, Bayrock's former finance director Jody Chris quote portrait.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Sounds like the guitar is for Bayrock. Yeah, exactly, Jody Chris.
- 43:05Speaker 3: This is from that lawsuit. Quote portrays the firm as
- 43:09Speaker 3: a money laundering operation used to conceal transfers of illicit
- 43:13Speaker 3: funds and disguise them as legitimate real estate transactions. He
- 43:18Speaker 3: also alleges that cash infusions from overseas were fraudulently portrayed
- 43:23Speaker 3: as loans to help the firm's principles evade taxes.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Yikes.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Yeah, this is another quote from that same lawsuit. Tax
- 43:32Speaker 2: evasion and money laundering are the core of bay Rock's
- 43:35Speaker 2: business model.
- 43:37Speaker 1: That's on the bottom of the website.
- 43:38Speaker 3: You know, our mission states taxivasion of money laundering are
- 43:42Speaker 3: the core of bay Rock's business model. I mean, yeah,
- 43:45Speaker 3: there are.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Like it's funny they did.
- 43:47Speaker 3: I saw a thing on the news with it youse,
- 43:48Speaker 3: like some of these shell companies, and you look at me, like,
- 43:51Speaker 3: this is just in like a weird like out of
- 43:53Speaker 3: the way strip mall in Ohio. Like it's just like
- 43:56Speaker 3: a little business park, and it's like there's an office
- 43:58Speaker 3: there where they just like fucking clean up like the
- 44:00Speaker 3: sketchy money and they just kind of disseiminate that all
- 44:02Speaker 3: through all throughout the world. And you know, it's just
- 44:04Speaker 3: like this very nondescript as plays like it looks like
- 44:06Speaker 3: the kind of place where i'd walk in to go
- 44:07Speaker 3: do morning radio for a gig in East Washington.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, like.
- 44:11Speaker 2: It's yeah, there's a lot of shit like that. Have
- 44:13Speaker 2: you watched the Netflix series Dirty Money. No, there's a
- 44:17Speaker 2: really good episode about money laundering.
- 44:19Speaker 3: It's actually the only documentary that's that's a parody of
- 44:22Speaker 3: a porn.
- 44:25Speaker 2: So the h Muller team is reportedly focusing on the
- 44:30Speaker 2: Trump Soho project and money laundering in the New York
- 44:33Speaker 2: City real estate market in general, as part of the
- 44:35Speaker 2: Russian investigation. Trump meanwhile announced the project on the fifth
- 44:40Speaker 2: season of The Apprentice in two thousand and six, because
- 44:43Speaker 2: of course he fucking did. Of course we would play
- 44:45Speaker 2: the video. But we're down a computer right now, which
- 44:47Speaker 2: is also why we haven't streamed anything in a good
- 44:51Speaker 2: long while.
- 44:52Speaker 1: But that's getting fixed this week. Hell yeah, I wonder why.
- 44:54Speaker 3: I wonder why our computers are going down, Adam, we're
- 44:56Speaker 3: being de dosed by.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I think we are. At least that top computer in here.
- 45:01Speaker 2: It woke up one day and was like light internetwork
- 45:03Speaker 2: only please, yea yea yeah, And that's what we were
- 45:06Speaker 2: recording on up to that point. So we're getting it fixed.
- 45:10Speaker 2: So this idea for Trump SOHO was presented to him
- 45:14Speaker 2: by the bay Rock Group and the Supior Organization. Bayrock
- 45:19Speaker 2: was founded by two Soviet born immigrants, god damn it
- 45:24Speaker 2: immigrants to a Reef and Felix Satr. The Supior Organization
- 45:29Speaker 2: was founded by Soviet born financier Tamir Sapir and his
- 45:32Speaker 2: son Alex. Remember this is all happening at a time
- 45:36Speaker 2: when Trump literally cannot get financing in the United States. Oh,
- 45:40Speaker 2: he's filed bankruptcy the COT so many times. Yeah, and
- 45:44Speaker 2: all of a sudden they come to him with this deal.
- 45:48Speaker 2: And this was reported by The New York Times in
- 45:51Speaker 2: September fifteenth or September twenty fifteen. This is Felix Sator
- 45:56Speaker 2: in an email to Michael Cohen, the Trump Company vice president,
- 45:59Speaker 2: and Helix Sater is one of the founders of the
- 46:02Speaker 2: Bay Rock Group.
- 46:03Speaker 3: This is a quote.
- 46:04Speaker 2: I will get Putin on this program and we will
- 46:06Speaker 2: get Donald elected.
- 46:08Speaker 1: We both know.
- 46:09Speaker 2: No one else knows how to pull this off without
- 46:11Speaker 2: stupidity or greed getting in the way. I know how
- 46:14Speaker 2: to play it, and we will get this done. Buddy,
- 46:16Speaker 2: our boy can become president of the USA and we
- 46:19Speaker 2: can engineer it. I will get all of Putin's team
- 46:22Speaker 2: to buy in on this.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I will.
- 46:23Speaker 2: But please tell me more about how there's no collusion yeah,
- 46:27Speaker 2: with Russia to get Trump elected.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Man.
- 46:29Speaker 3: That is so it's just like I saw someone had
- 46:33Speaker 3: a good take on it where he's like, we've gotten
- 46:35Speaker 3: like two or three emails like from the Trump campaign
- 46:38Speaker 3: and they are comically incriminating. And then there's like thousands
- 46:40Speaker 3: of Hill or emails with her just like wishing people
- 46:42Speaker 3: happy birth.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, yeah, it's nuts, Like there's so much
- 46:47Speaker 2: evidence that something is a miss. Even if Trump is
- 46:51Speaker 2: being played unwittingly, it's still a huge fucking problem.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Yeah, and maybe that's it. Maybe someone just needs to
- 46:59Speaker 3: sit him down and go, well, you're being played and
- 47:01Speaker 3: it needs to be someone who uh he believes and
- 47:05Speaker 3: maybe the country will be fine after that. I mean,
- 47:07Speaker 3: it's fucking no. The thing of like he's just like
- 47:09Speaker 3: you watch some of those cabinet meeting clips that they'll
- 47:11Speaker 3: play of just everyone just like taking turns, sucking his dick,
- 47:14Speaker 3: like your vision and blah blah blah. And it's just
- 47:16Speaker 3: like with regard like that is not good for a
- 47:19Speaker 3: human being to have no yes men around you, like
- 47:23Speaker 3: if you know, even with the ship that you know,
- 47:26Speaker 3: the podcasting or whatever. I'm just like, I want people
- 47:28Speaker 3: that are gonna be like that sucks. Yeah, you want
- 47:30Speaker 3: to you want no men. You want people that are like, hey,
- 47:32Speaker 3: that's a terrible idea. You're gonna look industry, oh for sure.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Yeah, No matter what you're doing, you never want a
- 47:39Speaker 2: person at the top who has no one questioning their decisions.
- 47:42Speaker 2: No like it's always a bad thing. So let's talk
- 47:45Speaker 2: about the twenty thirteen Miss Universe pageant. I guess I
- 47:48Speaker 2: didn't realize this is where all of the the p
- 47:51Speaker 2: tape dossier stuff happened. Yeah, and in twenty thirteen, Trump
- 47:56Speaker 2: was paid twenty million dollars to host the Miss Universe
- 47:59Speaker 2: pageant because.
- 48:00Speaker 1: All the birther stuff. When did the birtherer stuff go down?
- 48:03Speaker 1: That was earlier.
- 48:05Speaker 3: I think it was like I believe, oh, nine, no, ten,
- 48:07Speaker 3: like some.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Yeah, right after he kind of took off because I
- 48:10Speaker 2: remember buying a T shirt when Obama finally released his
- 48:14Speaker 2: birth certificate. His campaign sold T shirts with his actual
- 48:18Speaker 2: birth certificate on it. Oh that's fine, And I remember
- 48:21Speaker 2: buying one and it was when I lived in South Dakota,
- 48:23Speaker 2: so it had to be pre twenty twelve at least.
- 48:26Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, Cause it's like once that happened
- 48:29Speaker 3: and you get he got roasted at the Correspondence dinner,
- 48:32Speaker 3: it's kind of like that's what lit the You don't know,
- 48:34Speaker 3: you don't know if this notion had metastasized in his head.
- 48:37Speaker 3: But even so, I mean, he was still doing stupid
- 48:39Speaker 3: shit even after he had run for presidents. I mean,
- 48:41Speaker 3: I don't know how much he was like thinking about this,
- 48:42Speaker 3: right sure, Like you know, he's like, oh yeah, I've
- 48:44Speaker 3: got all these Howard Stirring interviews just where I'm talking
- 48:46Speaker 3: about pussy or whatever, and uh, it's just funny that
- 48:49Speaker 3: he's just like, Okay, you know, two years later or whatever,
- 48:53Speaker 3: maybe in twenty fifty he's going to declare his candidacy.
- 48:55Speaker 3: And it's just you weren't like you'd already registered make
- 48:58Speaker 3: American Great Again dot com as a trademark or whatever,
- 49:01Speaker 3: like yeah, you didn't think that. You thought that nobody
- 49:04Speaker 3: was gonna know what was going on here, Like you know,
- 49:06Speaker 3: you could the other shit. You could be like that's
- 49:08Speaker 3: the eighties, you know, but this is is twenty thirteen.
- 49:11Speaker 3: It's the new stuff. Yeah, yeah, this is like Snapchat
- 49:14Speaker 3: was around, like this is recent that.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Fee and his alleged conduct behind closed doors at this
- 49:21Speaker 2: event are apparently also a focus of the Russian investigation
- 49:25Speaker 2: for Starters. In an interview he gave during the event
- 49:28Speaker 2: from his hotel room, when he was asked if he
- 49:30Speaker 2: had a relationship with Putin, he said, quote, I do
- 49:33Speaker 2: have a relationship with him nice, which he has since said,
- 49:38Speaker 2: I barely know the guy, so which one is it?
- 49:41Speaker 1: He's on record saying both.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Him bringing the pageant to Moscow was orchestrated during a
- 49:46Speaker 2: meeting between Trump's top Miss Universe executive Paula Schugert and
- 49:50Speaker 2: European pop star a Mean Agallarov, whose dad is a
- 49:55Speaker 2: Russian real estate mogul named Alex Agalarov.
- 49:58Speaker 3: I really think, if you like, by colluding with a
- 50:00Speaker 3: country full of like names that we don't often see,
- 50:04Speaker 3: it's like no one's ever gonna be able to keep
- 50:05Speaker 3: all these characters straight, you know, Yeah, no one's ever
- 50:08Speaker 3: gonna get be able to just do you know, wait,
- 50:10Speaker 3: was Kissleek the Pops the model or was he pop Medopolis?
- 50:14Speaker 3: That's that's a kind of Greek yogurt.
- 50:16Speaker 2: I don't know, like, you know, yeah, it's it almost
- 50:18Speaker 2: seems like the same kind of strategy where there's so
- 50:21Speaker 2: much Russia news where we're just like, okay, it's too much,
- 50:24Speaker 2: let's just stop talking.
- 50:25Speaker 3: You've got to you've got to memorize eighty five alien
- 50:27Speaker 3: ass syllables and their and their roles to like make
- 50:31Speaker 3: any sense of it.
- 50:32Speaker 2: In an interview with Forbes, Agallarov claimed Schugert agreed to
- 50:38Speaker 2: the twenty million dollars right away and said the Trump
- 50:40Speaker 2: organization needed the money because, quote, you have a lot
- 50:43Speaker 2: of debts.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Hmmmm.
- 50:46Speaker 2: His publicist, a britt named Rob Goldstein, was the man
- 50:49Speaker 2: who first contacted Trump Junior about the meeting to deliver
- 50:52Speaker 2: sensitive info on Hillary Clinton.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Rob Goldstone, how was that the name? He fucked up?
- 50:55Speaker 1: Oh wait, what did I say? You said, Goldstein?
- 50:58Speaker 3: Oh?
- 50:59Speaker 1: Bit, Well, zionist conspiracy. You're internalized.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just reaching for that in the We're just
- 51:05Speaker 2: heading in that direction always on this show kind.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Of what is the jew phobe? Is there a jeamophobic?
- 51:11Speaker 3: What is that?
- 51:12Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 51:13Speaker 3: Isn't there like because there's like, you know, Zlamophobia or
- 51:15Speaker 3: like homophobia. Isn't an anti Semitism? Yeah, yeah, that's probably
- 51:19Speaker 3: what it is. Yeah, I was thinking there was a
- 51:22Speaker 3: Bleblama flow to flow for it.
- 51:25Speaker 1: It probably is.
- 51:26Speaker 3: It's the scariest time of day for the conspiracy the
- 51:28Speaker 3: show team ten in the morning, guys, So I am
- 51:30Speaker 3: not sharp.
- 51:30Speaker 1: I apologize.
- 51:31Speaker 2: Prior to the twenty thirteen Moscow pageant, this was a
- 51:35Speaker 2: tweet from Trump and I saw this recently and thought
- 51:38Speaker 2: it was fake.
- 51:39Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because you see that, and like sometimes they
- 51:41Speaker 3: just retweets some of the old twenty twelve stuff and
- 51:43Speaker 3: you're like, for the love of God, like.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, this is a tweet from right before the pageant.
- 51:50Speaker 2: Do you think Putin will be going to the Miss
- 51:52Speaker 2: Universe pageant November in Moscow? If so, will he become
- 51:56Speaker 2: my new best friend?
- 51:57Speaker 3: He tweeted that it's not even like fun like fun,
- 52:00Speaker 3: like what, it's that it sounds desperate. None of this
- 52:03Speaker 3: sounds weirdy. Yeah, it's just a weird thing to say,
- 52:06Speaker 3: you know, Like it's like I'm going to New York
- 52:09Speaker 3: in April, where Howard Stern be my BF, Like what,
- 52:13Speaker 3: That's a.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Great way to make sure they won't be your BFF. No,
- 52:17Speaker 2: And sure.
- 52:18Speaker 3: Enough he's immediately like subjugating yourself to like bitch status
- 52:21Speaker 3: with that, right, you know.
- 52:23Speaker 1: And Putin did make plans to meet with him and
- 52:25Speaker 1: then canceled. Uh dude, I bet he always planned on canceling.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Just question.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I would hope so.
- 52:31Speaker 2: And but here was another Trump quote from a twenty
- 52:34Speaker 2: fifteen radio interview. I was with the top level people,
- 52:38Speaker 2: both oligarchs and general and generals and top of the
- 52:41Speaker 2: government people. I can't go further than that, but I
- 52:44Speaker 2: will tell you that I met the top people and
- 52:46Speaker 2: the relationship was extraordinary for fuck's sake.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Man, Yeah, top of the government people, top of the government,
- 52:52Speaker 1: Like who of the government?
- 52:54Speaker 3: To you? Who phrases it like that? Senior officials? Dude,
- 52:58Speaker 3: Like he doesn't he and I do this too, but
- 53:01Speaker 3: I'm I just more articulate. He never knows where any
- 53:05Speaker 3: sentence is going when he starts no, no, every word
- 53:08Speaker 3: is a fresh decision, you.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Know, it's a fucking journey when he starts talking.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and what kills me is now if he just
- 53:17Speaker 2: comes out and says, no, I have no ties to
- 53:20Speaker 2: Russia at all, there's still gonna be a significant like
- 53:23Speaker 2: his bass, which is still around forty percent something like that, Yeah,
- 53:27Speaker 2: there's still gonna be like, Okay, he said there's no ties.
- 53:31Speaker 2: And even though he said on a radio interview that
- 53:34Speaker 2: he met with all the top people and that they
- 53:35Speaker 2: had a really good relationship, he was just joshing on
- 53:38Speaker 2: the radio.
- 53:39Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, it's like, what the fuck.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Is wrong with you people?
- 53:42Speaker 3: It's really well, it's at a point where it's just
- 53:43Speaker 3: like they've poisoned the well so thoroughly and successfully that
- 53:47Speaker 3: they're just not gonna buy anything with the whole fake
- 53:49Speaker 3: news branding.
- 53:51Speaker 1: And just.
- 53:53Speaker 3: You know, like trying to make every story that breaks
- 53:55Speaker 3: seems seem like, oh, it's just clickbait or whatever. It's like, well, yeah,
- 53:58Speaker 3: some of it is, and you kind of got to
- 54:00Speaker 3: it out and takes a little bit of work and
- 54:02Speaker 3: critical thing, and it's just like there's a there's a
- 54:03Speaker 3: group of people and I don't even necessarily blame them.
- 54:06Speaker 1: I mean, obviously I do, but it's just.
- 54:07Speaker 3: Like you get exhausted and you just don't you want
- 54:10Speaker 3: to You want to trust somebody, You want to have
- 54:12Speaker 3: a yeah, have a dad in this shit. You want
- 54:14Speaker 3: to like be able to believe somebody. And just like
- 54:16Speaker 3: I'm on that team. That's easier than being like, well
- 54:19Speaker 3: I feel this way about this, and that we're like
- 54:20Speaker 3: oh whatever he says, he's fine for me. You know.
- 54:24Speaker 2: I think it's the same thing as fake news, where
- 54:26Speaker 2: people have taken fake news to be oh well I
- 54:28Speaker 2: don't agree with that, so that's fake news.
- 54:31Speaker 3: Yeah. Anytime there's a compelling headline attached to compelling information, again,
- 54:36Speaker 3: that whole base is just gonna.
- 54:38Speaker 1: Be like clickbait.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that is not what clickbait means, you know,
- 54:42Speaker 2: it's just clickbait means we put mentos in a fucking
- 54:46Speaker 2: sprite container and.
- 54:47Speaker 1: You won't believe what happened next.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Yeah, And then you're like, is it the same thing
- 54:51Speaker 2: that happens with the coke, because yeah, I get it.
- 54:53Speaker 1: You could just tell me that.
- 54:54Speaker 3: But it's like it's like so unbelievable that they forget.
- 54:59Speaker 3: That's sometimes these things are true, right, you know. It's
- 55:03Speaker 3: it's such a bomb so many bombastic accusations are being made.
- 55:08Speaker 3: People are just like, well, of course, there's no way,
- 55:10Speaker 3: and it's just like, well, yeah, like yes, like and
- 55:14Speaker 3: there is a way. It did.
- 55:16Speaker 2: We're getting to the point we're gonna do an episode
- 55:19Speaker 2: really soon about deep fakes.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Do you know what those are? It's AI generated porn.
- 55:23Speaker 1: I thought it was a basketball move.
- 55:26Speaker 2: It's that too, but it's AI generated porn where you
- 55:28Speaker 2: can put pretty much any celebrity in porn videos and
- 55:32Speaker 2: it looks very realistic. Really, I feel like that's gonna
- 55:35Speaker 2: start becoming big news and then the pe tape will
- 55:37Speaker 2: come out and Trump will be like, eh, deep fake.
- 55:39Speaker 3: That's fucking crazy, dude.
- 55:41Speaker 1: That's very interesting.
- 55:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because it's a thing like that Reddit just
- 55:45Speaker 2: banned that whole sub subreddit that was about deep fakes, okay,
- 55:49Speaker 2: and the technology is fucking crazy. If there's a video
- 55:53Speaker 2: on YouTube, I'll include it when we talk about it
- 55:56Speaker 2: on the podcast. But it's basically there's one video as
- 56:00Speaker 2: Bush and there's another one I think is Putin, and
- 56:03Speaker 2: on the other side of the screen, it's just a
- 56:05Speaker 2: dude talking and everything he says it looks like Bush
- 56:09Speaker 2: Bush or Putin's mouth moves in that exact way. So
- 56:12Speaker 2: from there, if you just get a convincing voice actor, yeah,
- 56:16Speaker 2: you can make anything look like a real video.
- 56:19Speaker 1: That's pretty wild.
- 56:20Speaker 3: And I feel like it takes me back to middle
- 56:22Speaker 3: school where I'd printed out a like I'd arrange all
- 56:25Speaker 3: of these pictures on a like a Microsoft word page
- 56:27Speaker 3: and printed them out of just Laura Propan but like
- 56:30Speaker 3: from that seventies show.
- 56:32Speaker 1: But it was just like a lot of fake nights
- 56:33Speaker 1: of Laura Papon.
- 56:34Speaker 3: I didn't realize we're fake, and I just I printed
- 56:36Speaker 3: those out so I could go look at them in
- 56:38Speaker 3: my room.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Like so this is deep roots, dude.
- 56:45Speaker 3: Uh.
- 56:45Speaker 2: But it's during the Miss Universe pageant where the P
- 56:48Speaker 2: tape is alleged to have happened that.
- 56:50Speaker 3: Like I'm telling you right now, that deep fixed thing
- 56:52Speaker 3: and the P tape that is one of the best
- 56:54Speaker 3: ATV Hail Mary calls, of which there have been a lot.
- 56:57Speaker 1: I feel like it could happen.
- 56:58Speaker 3: You're you're you got a good for this ship man,
- 57:01Speaker 3: and I really think that's going down.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I could, because it's he's gonna have to come
- 57:07Speaker 1: up with a way to if that video ever comes out,
- 57:10Speaker 1: he's gonna have to come up with a way to
- 57:11Speaker 1: discredit it. He can't for his bass.
- 57:13Speaker 3: You can't just have a video of you getting pissed
- 57:15Speaker 3: on come out and then resign in disgrace.
- 57:17Speaker 1: You got to make a move, you know.
- 57:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Like even if it's just putting out another album
- 57:21Speaker 2: like R Kelly did. Yeah, you exactly have to react
- 57:23Speaker 2: in some way. You can't just you can't just take
- 57:26Speaker 2: that on the chin. That's a tough one, man, Not
- 57:29Speaker 2: like they took it on the chin. Oh the piss
- 57:31Speaker 2: I mean yah, all right, we do good work around here, man.
- 57:35Speaker 3: Those those women made what a year's worth of Patreon
- 57:39Speaker 3: to do that? Two years.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Uh. There's also reportedly more tapes of Trump at sex
- 57:46Speaker 2: parties in the town of the city of Saint Petersburg
- 57:49Speaker 2: in Russia from that same time.
- 57:51Speaker 3: And all of this hat Petersburg.
- 57:56Speaker 2: And all of this is included in the Steel Dossier,
- 57:59Speaker 2: which buzz was the first one to publish.
- 58:01Speaker 1: So weird that that's like a legitimate news.
- 58:03Speaker 2: BuzzFeed is doing good stuff. Like BuzzFeed was the only
- 58:06Speaker 2: news outlet to come out and be like, hey, stop
- 58:09Speaker 2: acting like Kim Jong UN's sister is a good person
- 58:12Speaker 2: because she threw shade to Mike Pence. It's like, yeah,
- 58:15Speaker 2: they run gulags. Oh yeah, everyone lives on like hard
- 58:20Speaker 2: tack and fucking promises in that entire country.
- 58:23Speaker 1: It's so weird.
- 58:24Speaker 3: And now even with some of these like media institutions,
- 58:27Speaker 3: you got to be like, okay, so like the Wall
- 58:29Speaker 3: Street Journal, the editorial page is evil, but the investigative
- 58:34Speaker 3: reporting they do is good, and you've got to like
- 58:36Speaker 3: make these distinctions and really realize what you're looking at.
- 58:39Speaker 3: And it's just a lot, you know, yeah, you almost
- 58:41Speaker 3: want a cheat sheet with like some kind of like
- 58:43Speaker 3: score or whatever. And it's like but even then, like
- 58:46Speaker 3: like organizations like Snopes, which you think is like this
- 58:49Speaker 3: great libertarian like arbiter of like what actually happened, And
- 58:53Speaker 3: it's great for shit like is this actually a picture
- 58:55Speaker 3: of his dude getting his head cut off and when
- 58:57Speaker 3: he tried to jump off the building and land that offence.
- 58:59Speaker 3: But it's like with with shit like this, it's like
- 59:01Speaker 3: it becomes just as partisan as anything else.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Yeah's absolutely gonna do. Yeah.
- 59:05Speaker 2: We we tend to put a lot of Whenever there's
- 59:10Speaker 2: a conspiracy theory or some sort of not mainstream idea
- 59:13Speaker 2: that comes out, we tend to really lean on, well,
- 59:17Speaker 2: is that a credible source? But then when someone debunks
- 59:21Speaker 2: that thing, we pay no attention to whether that's a
- 59:23Speaker 2: credible source. It's just like, oh, well this blogger fucking
- 59:25Speaker 2: debunked it, so yeah that's fake. And it's like, no,
- 59:28Speaker 2: that motherfucker's as wrong as anyone else. Yeah, yeah, yeah
- 59:31Speaker 2: it uh. And this is I don't know, like I
- 59:35Speaker 2: feel like this is an easy one to answer. Is
- 59:38Speaker 2: Trump under the influence of a foreign government?
- 59:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 59:41Speaker 1: Obviously, I mean campaign.
- 59:43Speaker 3: I mean it's like, to what extent and to it,
- 59:45Speaker 3: to what ends and all that stuff. I mean, it's
- 59:48Speaker 3: in the breeze a little bit, but it seems pretty
- 59:51Speaker 3: very really pretty reasible to conclude like going on you know.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and the thing about this one thing I had
- 59:58Speaker 2: in the notes, A lot of mainstream out let's are
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: pushing this idea. Like normally, if you google Manchurian candidate Trump,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: you're gonna get like.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: Geo cities pages and ship like that.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: And this is like Huffington Post, New York Times, Salon
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: dot Com, the Atlantic Daily cos is that how you
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: pronounced that Daily Coast?
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: That's always not a good site.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I read it. No, Yeah, it's very sloppily written.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Also, Moby is how do we feel about Moby is
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: gonna die of a fentanyl overdose in like six months?
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Sure? Absolutely, And it's gonna be because some.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: Uh c I A dude just slapped a patch on
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: the back of his neck at an airport. Yeah, manager
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: is gonna have to I regret to inform you Mobis.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: And Moby has succumbed to uh aggressive onset gay itis
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: uh as. We still don't know how you contracted the disease.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Like, but he's he's been. He did a radio interview.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: He's kind of it's kind of like the like the
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: like the like the more uh atmospheric Tom DeLong some stuff.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: He's like the along of Trump stuff.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, And he claims he knows CIA agents
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: and FBI people who he's met during his year's touring.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: And then at one point last year they sat him
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: down and were like, look, Trump is a Manchurian candidate.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Can you get some of this information out there? Obviously
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: your social media following is better than ours, which how
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: crazy would that be if our CIA agents were all
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: like celebrities?
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Also, that would be funny. Yeah remember titter account?
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah. And it was just this where he
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: just followed like his son in law, and he just
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: like he like responded to a few things like well
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: if that's the like, he was just being like a
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: cunt on Twitter, just like anybody else would be. It
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: was that shit was so funny. And as a as
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: a guy whose mom was a yoga teacher in the
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: late nineties and early two thousands, you better believe I'm
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: I'm on Moby's fucking team, dude.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: All right, damn right.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: We rocked out to all that shit all the time
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: in the fucking Toyota Camray.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: That shit was great.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: And before Trump supporters jump in and call us crazy
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: for even bringing this up or addressing the idea. In
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: twenty fourteen, there was a editorial on Breitbart that pretty
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: much the exact same question of Obama, but the grounds
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: for asking it were much shakier. Yeah, it was just like, oh,
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: there's Muslims here and China's doing good, and it's like,
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: you need to specify a government he's beholden too before
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: that theory works. Yeah, but what I certainly didn't see
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: is a lot of anti Obama types in the comments
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: on bright Bart going.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Come on, this is unreasonable.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: You won't see a whole lot of that.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: So we're getting into a fight with a guy in
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: ninth grade about it. Just he's like Obama's a Muslim,
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: and I was just like, dude, I'm like barely not eleven,
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: and I'm like, I don't think he's a Muslim, you
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: fucking idiot.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I was eleven so recently.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: So yeah, that's that's the Trump is a Manchurian candidate episode.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: I buy it.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I mean, even if it's not not the whole brainwashing
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: and he's gonna assassinate someone bit the influence of a
