- 0:35None. What's up everybody?
- 0:43Friday night Kifi ghostcoldman.com unusual time to
- 0:48go live. I'm not going to lie, talked
- 0:50about it the other night. I'm I'm on the struggle bus in
- 0:532026. Things are not terrible.
- 0:56They're actually going in a great direction.
- 0:58I'm just, I think rundown and exhausted from just surviving
- 1:032025. Like everybody, we're just
- 1:05trying to survive out. Here.
- 1:07Thanks for joining me. Anybody who watches, anybody who
- 1:10watches on the rebroadcast, if this is your first time here,
- 1:13welcome. The best experience for this
- 1:15show is YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram.
- 1:18I also like hanging out on the TikTok.
- 1:20I am live on all these things right now through the power of
- 1:24Stream Yard, which we will talk about in a little bit.
- 1:27You know, so much fun stuff to discuss and unwrap and and talk
- 1:31about and I'm just glad to be back.
- 1:33It's been hard for me. I did go live earlier in the
- 1:36week, which we'll talk about that live stream in a second to
- 1:39talk about the Grammys and how they don't understand or even
- 1:43respect medal and you know. Melissa is here.
- 1:48Hi love, how are you? I'm going to try not to get
- 1:52overly mushy on these things, but you know, sometimes I can't
- 1:55help myself. I do love my girl.
- 1:57Oh, let's see, Instagram is not cooperating.
- 1:59Let's see if I can get it to cooperate and yes, catching up
- 2:04on all the things. See if I'm good, but welcome on
- 2:07all the things. You can support us by tipping us
- 2:12or buying a super thanks or a super chat or whatever they're
- 2:16called on YouTube. We'll go through all the things
- 2:19in a second. We are on all the things.
- 2:22But yeah, just just glad to be here.
- 2:24Glad to be functioning. Unless like, could not go live
- 2:28yesterday. Could not, you know, could not
- 2:32get my technical stuff to work tonight.
- 2:36Just a ridiculous but. I'm here and we're making it
- 2:39work. So that's what matters.
- 2:41We're doing the God damn thing. I did AI did a poll on YouTube
- 2:45on our community posts to see what you guys wanted to talk
- 2:49about. But obviously tonight we have an
- 2:51agenda. But you know, for next week I
- 2:53have some ideas already. Not all my things are working,
- 2:59but let's see if they do come online.
- 3:02OK, once again, let's do the thing.
- 3:07I always have a little deck. The boom in the top corner here
- 3:11if you're watching everywhere. But on TikTok, but I appreciate
- 3:14everybody that is here. I'm going to pop open a nice ice
- 3:17cold liquid depth. I've still got these.
- 3:20I think I got about 60 left or or 54 left of these things.
- 3:26So I'm going to drink them till I can't drink them no more.
- 3:32But yeah, I've been on the struggle bus all year long.
- 3:36It's just, it's just a bit hard for me right now, you know, find
- 3:41things challenging. I'm at work and then my day job
- 3:44and then goes cult takes up a lot of my time.
- 3:47Plus my relationship, which is super important to me.
- 3:49My friends, check on your friends, make sure they're all
- 3:52OK because everybody is not OK right now.
- 3:57A lot of people are absolutely not OK.
- 4:01So yeah, anyhow, glad to be back, though.
- 4:06See if anybody else is. Mikhail Listerov is here on the
- 4:11TikTok. Thanks for being here.
- 4:13All right, let's get to it without further delay.
- 4:17You know, we always start with the announcements and there's
- 4:19quite a few this week. So we'll just, we'll just make
- 4:22them here. But you know, I, I had a habit
- 4:26in the past of starting with like the bad news 1st and I
- 4:30really want to start turning that around.
- 4:33But yeah, we're going to, we're going to figure it out.
- 4:41So let's see one more second. Today I put this kind of up at
- 4:57the front of the show. Today was the first band camp
- 4:59Friday of 2026. They are going to do multiple
- 5:03band camp Fridays in 26. You still have about an hour and
- 5:08a half, maybe maybe two or three hours specific time to buy some
- 5:14stuff, support some underground artists.
- 5:16And I know you know, Band Camp is not owned by the same company
- 5:19anymore. They were bought by Epic Games
- 5:21and flipped. They trying to bust the union,
- 5:23which I don't love or respect, but they still do pay a lot of
- 5:27money to artists. So if you have a band or a
- 5:30musical page or a merch page or you're a super fan of a band,
- 5:34drop a comment wherever you're watching this show or find our
- 5:38socials with the Band Camp Friday, post threads, Instagram,
- 5:42TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and drop a comment and link that
- 5:46band. I know live links are not
- 5:48everywhere in the comments on places because people are
- 5:50horrible, but we're just trying to support, continue to support
- 5:54underground bands. A lot of stuff we do, you know,
- 5:57we cover all the mainstream stuff, but a lot of stuff we do
- 5:59is still geared at. Helping underground bands.
- 6:04Also if you are a goth and post punk person and you live in the
- 6:08California and or LA, Arizona or Nevada area and LA is an option
- 6:13for you. For concerts, enter to win our
- 6:16giveaway for Echo and the Bunnyman.
- 6:18Tickets at the Greek Theater at the end of May.
- 6:22So it's a very long giveaway. Ends in three months.
- 6:25But at the. Same time, you know, we're
- 6:28trying to support as much as possible we've once again with
- 6:33Golden Voice again, you know, I know a big corporate nothing
- 6:37entity, but there's a lot of debate on whether Golden Voice
- 6:42or another planet Entertainment here in the Bay Area are.
- 6:46Or good companies. Golden Voice is, beside Live
- 6:48Nation, the biggest promoter of concerts on the West Coast.
- 6:50They have partnered with us. We give away cult and death cult
- 6:53tickets with them, so I've been pretty pleased.
- 6:57With that, but they reached out to us to do a giveaway for these
- 7:00Echo and the Bunnymen tickets and I'm kind of stoked on it.
- 7:04So let me just drop the giveaway link in the description here on
- 7:10stream yard and y'all in TikTok land when you're done watching
- 7:14this or you can leave the broadcast temporarily.
- 7:17You don't get lost, but you can go check out our you can go
- 7:21check out our link tree in the in the bio to win these tickets.
- 7:28Someone's going to win. Probably one of our most simple
- 7:32giveaways. We did a giveaway for God Forbid
- 7:34tickets last year. We gave away the cult tickets.
- 7:37We just recently closed our giveaway on books from our.
- 7:41Bookshelf that we had. Which was pretty rad with Ozzie
- 7:45and Slayer books and some other personal productivity books.
- 7:49Made by metalheads. Just a reminder, a couple of
- 7:53weeks ago we dropped the brand new video.
- 7:55For. Goat Smoke by Oxide Oxide are
- 7:57friends of mine but also Bay Area sludge metal legends and
- 8:02they have a new EP coming out soon I'm super pumped about.
- 8:07In some sad news, here's a photo of Parliament Funkadelic Rock
- 8:12and Roll Hall of Farmers. I know most people just know who
- 8:14George Clinton or Bootsy Collins for his spell in that band or
- 8:20Eddie Hazel, but Billy Bass, man Billy Bass of Parliament died.
- 8:26Super sad, supremely talented dude producer he was.
- 8:30Inducted into the Hall of Fame with the band.
- 8:32For his long tenure in a band suit.
- 8:34If you love funk and R&B, you know.
- 8:36Parliament and Funkadelic are untouchable.
- 8:40This is the 5th. Dimension not always a band
- 8:42talked about. On this show, but you know, one
- 8:45of their founding members who I share a birthday with, Lamonta
- 8:49and Mckellmore, passed away this week of natural causes.
- 8:52He was 75. He's from St.
- 8:55Louis, MO and originally. Was a baseball player with the
- 8:59Cardinals. He was actually the first
- 9:00African American player ever to get a try out for the major
- 9:04leagues. Not really talked about.
- 9:05Then he became a like a entertainment and concert
- 9:08photographer and publicist and then he met Marilyn Mccoo and
- 9:14Florence LaRue that rhymed but not intentionally and Billy
- 9:17Davis and they formed the fifth dimension.
- 9:20So you know their music. What's up and what's up.
- 9:24Lisa, how you doing? Good to see you fulminators
- 9:27here. Something stupid with Dom.
- 9:29Good to see all my homies and real ones and regular ones.
- 9:32I have not been consistent with the broadcast.
- 9:34Schedule We normally don't go live on a Friday night.
- 9:37Thanks to my girlfriend for supporting me.
- 9:38Thanks to my friends. Like I said, I'm just having a
- 9:41little bit of a tough time making it through lately.
- 9:46You know, in terms of just kind of functioning as a normal grow
- 9:51human adult. This is another one, man.
- 9:57Chuck Negron. I'm gonna say Taylor Negron.
- 10:00Jesus Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night.
- 10:02Died after a very long illness. Super sad.
- 10:05Joy to the world. You probably don't know this
- 10:07band, but your parents absolutely love this band.
- 10:10Just beautiful pop songs. Hey, what's up, Lisa?
- 10:15Tell Bill I said what's up, You know.
- 10:19Oh, Southeast of Heaven is here. What's up?
- 10:21My brother in Rock Dawn. Yeah.
- 10:23Marilyn Mccoo. An absolute fox.
- 10:25Dude. Was she also the host of Solid
- 10:26Gold with Rex Smith? Unbelievable.
- 10:31I hope I have that right. Q is not here.
- 10:33Q could correct me if I was wrong about that, but your phone
- 10:38decided not to work man. Yep Yep.
- 10:42I only know Solid Gold because it was a dancing and music show
- 10:45and my mom like watched it religiously so I watched with
- 10:49her. That's why I like a lot of funk
- 10:51and soul. Yep.
- 10:53Testament in Berkeley King is here.
- 10:56What's up brother? I'm so sad because that's the
- 10:58one date of the tour. Overkill is not on.
- 11:02We're probably going to cover the first date of the tour in
- 11:04Portland. I'm in talks right now with our
- 11:06team in the Northwest, but you might well see me at that show
- 11:09because I love we're aging ourselves.
- 11:12I know bro. Rex.
- 11:15Rex Smith was also the television star of He did
- 11:19musicals. I think that's kind of where he
- 11:21did his career. He Rex Smith was also in a
- 11:24Knight Rider themed motorcycle like a Knight Rider RIP off show
- 11:27called St. Hawk where he rode and advanced.
- 11:31You know Japanese St. St. rider bike and yeah I'll
- 11:37tell you what Dom, I we are doing Milwaukee metal fest, I
- 11:40believe in early June. The line up is just too good to
- 11:43ignore acid bath. I already hit up on my
- 11:46photographers. I definitely.
- 11:49Applied to cover it. So that's on the docket.
- 11:52I'm doing the Mojave experience. We'll talk about that in a
- 11:54second. So it's definitely grown, man.
- 11:55Rest in peace. And then this is 1.
- 11:57I don't know, Don, if you go far back enough as a journalist
- 11:59here, you might. But Tracy Zamott, who was a
- 12:03publicist for Atlantic Records and Virgin Records in the 90s
- 12:07and 2000s, died very young, 53 my age.
- 12:11Of a of a an illness. A very long illness.
- 12:15So a lot of people, I tangentially know people I
- 12:19briefly interacted with her about 10 years ago, 15 years
- 12:23ago, but she said 53. Very sad, bro.
- 12:26What's up? Dillinger compound, Good to see
- 12:28you. Good to see you.
- 12:29And because I missed the show last week again, Sly Dunbar, Sly
- 12:32and Robbie, you can't imagine the impact this guy made on the
- 12:38drums in reggae music. But even beyond reggae music,
- 12:42avant-garde music, soul. As a as a player and a session
- 12:45musician and a producer, he shaped the sound of a genre.
- 12:49You really, even if you don't dig the music, you have to
- 12:52respect the the game and the talent.
- 12:54And the hustle. So just eternal love to his
- 12:56family once again. We don't do this for free,
- 13:00y'all. If you want, if you're feeling
- 13:02tipsy, the best way to tip us is one of these options.
- 13:05I'm going to drop in the comments as well as hey, Gabe is
- 13:07here from Anthony Mosby's What's up Gabe?
- 13:08Sorry I've been quiet on Messenger.
- 13:13We already planned plugged band camp Friday.
- 13:16If you want to drop music Don, you should drop your music.
- 13:19Dillinger, you should drop Dillinger's game and everybody
- 13:22drop a comment with the band we should support and buy.
- 13:25From but yeah, if you're feeling.
- 13:28Tipsy, feel free to buy us a. Super thanks.
- 13:30Or a super like or. One of the things cash App,
- 13:32PayPal, Kofi, Venmo at Ghost, Colt Mag on just about
- 13:36everything. Feel free to check it out.
- 13:40All right, and there's our cash App.
- 13:43I'm going to put I'm going to put it myself back on the screen
- 13:46and Bip, there we go. Hey, it's me.
- 13:49I'm back. All right, it's time for the
- 13:53features and we had quite a bunch this week just I got
- 13:58finally got back on my live stream game this.
- 14:01Week The last one before this was 3 weeks ago where I did the
- 14:04Megan F review but I did a review of the.
- 14:08Grammys, which I am going to talk about in the new segment
- 14:10here and. Just, you know, it's a bit.
- 14:14Click baity of me to have a title.
- 14:16Like that, but. Honestly, like it's not so much
- 14:19that they hate. Rock and metal, but they
- 14:21definitely don't understand what we do right.
- 14:24They don't get us. I don't know why.
- 14:26That is, but they just don't get us and it bums me the fuck out.
- 14:32It bums me out, but anyway, so Grammys, we'll talk about that
- 14:37more in a minute, but if you want to go back and check out
- 14:39that live streaming podcast is streaming everywhere.
- 14:42Humongous week of interviews. This is a personal.
- 14:45One that was on my bucket list, David Jay, you know him best
- 14:47from Bauhaus. He Co founded the band.
- 14:49He wrote Belo Lugosi's Dead and a few of their other hits, even
- 14:53sang on a few songs. And then he also founded Loving
- 14:57Rockets. And he's been a composer and
- 14:58author and entertainer, a speaker ADJ at clubs.
- 15:02And he has a protest single out called It's Too Cold to Thaw
- 15:07Anti Ice. He teamed up with Shepherd
- 15:09Fairey and Tomo 77, two incredible artists.
- 15:12Tomo, 77, has been the victim of ice and immigration targeting.
- 15:16Please know Youngblood. News.
- 15:17Well, there's a little. So great song, Charity element,
- 15:23no Devotion Records, great label.
- 15:27Yeah, you know, I just heard about the Wadi from Exploited.
- 15:33You know, we'll talk about that in a second this year.
- 15:36We'll get there in a second. When I talk about Twisted
- 15:38Sister, I'll talk about Waddy and a bunch of other people.
- 15:41So David J, check out my interview with David J.
- 15:43He was lovely and I'd love to talk to him again sometime.
- 15:46Really great. Also what if you had a band that
- 15:51was named for a super famous actor or actors and then they
- 15:55also liked your band Nicolas Cage Fighter, Nicholas from
- 15:59Nicolas Cage Fighter and I chopped it up and Nick Cage is
- 16:02not only aware of the band, I think people know that Nick
- 16:05likes a lot of Hard Rock and country.
- 16:07Nick's son Weston has a black metal band and is a huge black
- 16:11metal fan and goes to pretty much every metal show in LA.
- 16:14And then Nick Cage was like, asked about that band.
- 16:17Then was like, oh, I'm aware of them, they're really good.
- 16:21So really fun interview, kind of the death core, death metal,
- 16:24thrash metal band. From down on the Nicolas Cage
- 16:28fighter, check them out. Really pieces here.
- 16:30Lisa's still hanging in. Thank you so much for liking the
- 16:33live. If you subscribe to us, I will
- 16:35subscribe back to you at the end of this.
- 16:37So any but after the show is done, I get reports from Stream
- 16:40Yard and all my socials and I go through them and I look at
- 16:43comments and I answer and like them all and I follow back
- 16:46everybody that follows us. Thank you so much for many
- 16:48people watching and our very unusual time for the show.
- 16:52Also also since Don is in the comments, Don southeast of
- 16:56heaven go follow him also talking to talk with Don
- 17:00Glacially musical podcast in our third episode on Dio this week.
- 17:05And even though we didn't know we were doing this episode
- 17:08Sacred Heart, we were prepared. I still prepared because I over
- 17:11prepare every week. Great cover artwork here by Don.
- 17:14Maybe you want to hire Don to do some of your podcast cover art.
- 17:17It might be a a a future thing. I bought a shirt from Don's
- 17:22Threadless shop this week because I wanted to see how the
- 17:24check out for Threadless. Was as I.
- 17:26Continue to examine and explore. Ghost Cult merch is coming back.
- 17:30I have a small batch of merch right now.
- 17:32A hot sauce and magnets and coasters and a handful of
- 17:35shirts. If anybody wants a shirt just DM
- 17:37me. If you know me personally, I
- 17:39will send some of you a shirt. Regrettis because I'm cool like
- 17:42that to quote diggable. Planets Also, hey, check out
- 17:47this new podcast logo, sort of half an old logo, half of this.
- 17:51Redesigned by our own Omar. Cordy, This show's a podcast.
- 17:56I have a bunch of podcasts. I probably.
- 17:57Will launch one more. Podcast this year.
- 17:59Before it's all over the new TBQ.
- 18:03Yeah man, I need the black Queen, bro.
- 18:05I played some of it from Melissa here and she loved it.
- 18:08I photographed the black Queen. Greg is terrifying live.
- 18:11Just like, doesn't matter what the vibe is, he's always kind of
- 18:14scary. But I love Teflon, Tel Aviv and
- 18:17Josh Eustis and the stuff he did with Puscifer and 9 Inch Nails
- 18:21for remixes and things so. I really love the black.
- 18:24Queen, I need more of that in my life.
- 18:26We'll see what happens with Greg.
- 18:28There's a lot of sketchy shit going on in the world right now.
- 18:30And now it's time for the news rundown as every week I'll take
- 18:33another sip of my drink. Keep hydrated.
- 18:38You know what, Don, you go right ahead and drop your link in the
- 18:41in the store link shirt. The shirt links.
- 18:44They are also LinkedIn our podcast now, so you can support
- 18:48Don by buying a shirt from his shop.
- 18:50They're pretty amazing. I got my eye on that Taylor
- 18:53Swift middle finger shirt as a gift for somebody that does not
- 18:55watch. This show for their next
- 18:57birthday as well as the Sarah McLachlan.
- 19:00I just want to send that broad $3.
- 19:02Please, please help the dogs and make her stop singing that song.
- 19:06Stop showing me sad. It's horrible job.
- 19:09You know things. Oh, Josh is not in the band but
- 19:12Chris Penny is? That's interesting.
- 19:13Is Chris Penny just doing drums or is he also programming?
- 19:17Anyway, on a wreck. I'm sad to hear Josh is not in
- 19:21the band for the price of. Wooden shirt you can feed Don
- 19:25weed gummies for one day. Vans Morgtor is back.
- 19:28They are rolling out their lineup for 2026.
- 19:32You know, I was just in big in this for the sake of it.
- 19:36We're going to cover one of these dates.
- 19:37I think right now it looks like Montreal or DC, not confirmed,
- 19:43but we're leaning on it. They are rolling out the bands
- 19:45every day. I know they've announced a bunch
- 19:47of killer bands. Gorgeous got announced.
- 19:49Jimmy World is one of the headliners for all three shows.
- 19:51That's rad. You know, Warp.
- 19:54Tour. I thought they did a nice job
- 19:55coming back. Obviously there's no way to
- 19:57replicate the 90s and 2000s Warp tour line UPS because all these
- 20:00small early in the day bill bands became humongous.
- 20:04Bands. You just can't afford to book
- 20:06all these bands. But respect for them coming back
- 20:10and I think that's going to show us the way for future things.
- 20:13Also, Roadburn has announced their most of their lineup, not
- 20:17all of it. We this is the next series of
- 20:20bands going to be bands we're going to cover.
- 20:23Hopefully, you know, festivals and tours that we're going to be
- 20:25at. I know Coroner has kicked off
- 20:28their U.S. tour and I didn't get that in the showing.
- 20:31But just for shits and giggles, let's do let's do a quick
- 20:38shiggles as I like to say, and let's see if I have the boom,
- 20:42boom, boom, boom, boom. Let's just do the lineup real
- 20:45quick, like, here we go. Thursday, April 16th.
- 20:51This is in Tilburg, the hometown.
- 20:54Of ghost called. Ghost called was.
- 20:55Founded as a scene in 2012, the. Year of the.
- 20:59Doomsday Clock The doomsday prediction.
- 21:01That's why the cultie is our mascot.
- 21:03Because of a. Former Mayan heritage of one of
- 21:07our original founders and then I took it over in the first year.
- 21:11Artists in residence. Acid Mothers Temple full album
- 21:14playthrough past other bands playing crippling alcoholism.
- 21:18Great name for a band by the way.
- 21:19Dead Neanderthals Eyes Fona it's Condor artist in resident and
- 21:25commissioned music work. Rallis Pigs pigs Pigs Pigs pigs
- 21:30pigs pigs performing their new album Death.
- 21:32Hilarious. Oofo Mamoot playing Ion the
- 21:36Eternal Coil Unsane. New York noise rockers who I
- 21:39love a great deal performing Occupational Hazard, World
- 21:43Peace, the punk Band of All Stars and more.
- 21:45Also on Friday April 17th as Mothers Temple Agriculture,
- 21:50hoping to cover them in New York next week.
- 21:53Bop Bop. Boston Nas, great band.
- 21:55Heaven in her Arms. Kowloon, Wall City from Oakland,
- 21:59great band. Alice again playing.
- 22:03Past once again Leath of Heaven Nothing presents a short history
- 22:06of decay and other tragic tales. Portrayal of guilt.
- 22:09One of our favorite bands. Planning for a burial.
- 22:12I recently interviewed them. Slow Crossed.
- 22:14Great band. St.
- 22:15Sex, also known as St. Sets Ouija Dude and Blind Man
- 22:20and Yellow Eyes, the black metal band, also Saturday.
- 22:31April 18th again. Acid Mothers Temple, Blackwater,
- 22:35Holy Light performing their brand new album Not Here Not
- 22:38Gone, Would love to get a new interview with them.
- 22:40Boris performing Pink Dalek from New Jersey, The rap alternative
- 22:45band of Breaker reunited playing their incredible Reya album in
- 22:49full. Let's see.
- 22:52Primitive Man presents Remembrance.
- 22:53Their new album Do do Do I am Lost, never found.
- 23:03Let's see Unsane again. Do the new Puritans slow hold do
- 23:10metal band, great band Truck Violence.
- 23:13I don't know them, but they sound cool.
- 23:15And on Sunday, Boris again performing all of Flood into
- 23:18armor, performing the Cavern. Incredible tip.
- 23:22The anus of a black cat. I don't know who.
- 23:24They are, but I'm absolutely riveted by that name.
- 23:27Collapse, Alice. Again, Lily.
- 23:29Refrain. Who if you like Ivor and.
- 23:33America you would love Lily refrain very similar.
- 23:37You know ancient world music for Viking people blame for burial
- 23:41again. Primitive man again.
- 23:43Slow crutch again, St. sets this time the doom metal band Warning
- 23:48and many more so I am really pumped.
- 23:50That's our first extensive prepare to Kid Ground is also
- 23:53killer. I think this is the first week
- 23:54they haven't been in our show. Dillinger Power Trip on
- 23:57Headbangers boat and Seth really.
- 23:59You know what, man, Dom, I really want to go to the boat
- 24:02one of these years. I haven't done 70 tons of metal.
- 24:05I think I really need to just. Do a cruise 1st and get my sea
- 24:08legs because my. Balance is not great, but yeah,
- 24:13you know, I think Seth is great. I have.
- 24:15I love Riley. And you know, one of our biggest
- 24:17interviews ever is with Riley. We once spent a whole, I
- 24:21interviewed him before a show. We watched the show at Webster
- 24:24Hall, formerly known as the Ritz, in New York.
- 24:26City. And then we hung out at Duff's
- 24:28all night and just talk politics and drink beers and it was one
- 24:31of the best nights I have ever had.
- 24:33I sure. I think we're going to bring
- 24:34back. The Kifi's war stories with
- 24:36Kifi, and I'm going to tell that one.
- 24:39But anyway, also coming up this Spring Festival, I'm personally
- 24:45attending Mojave Experience in March.
- 24:47This looks amazing. We'll talk more coming on that
- 24:49soon, Milwaukee. Metal Fest just added a bunch of
- 24:53new bands, including Death Angel playing.
- 24:55All of at. Three, I don't think you could
- 24:58get. Nick to go on the cruise or
- 25:00festival Done. But I'm with you, maybe
- 25:02something small. I think it'd be too much for
- 25:04him. Acid Bath, Kill, Switch, Engage
- 25:07and Ministry are your headliners.
- 25:09Napalm Death I mean this this also para suicidal tendencies
- 25:13machine head power trip obituary death Angel as I aforementioned
- 25:17incantation pallbearer. Oh my God, I can't wait never
- 25:21been to Milwaukee. I'm definitely going to go.
- 25:23This is that the rave and the eagle bottle rock Napa talked
- 25:27about it not going this year went last year had a great time.
- 25:31My friends are going. I don't see myself.
- 25:34I don't think I think I would enjoy Lord and Teddy swims out
- 25:36of this whole lineup beside Foo Fighters.
- 25:39And Lil Wayne and LCD sound systems, OK I've seen them
- 25:42before. Backstreet Boys I think will be
- 25:45curious but little Wayne is terrible.
- 25:48Anybody any rapper with? Little in their name is usually.
- 25:50Horrible. Fight me if you can.
- 25:53If you can prove me wrong, I dare you.
- 25:56But I doubt it. OK.
- 26:00Camp Pennsylvania, which we have covered before, is announced
- 26:03most of their lineup taking place this summer.
- 26:05They've moved this festival around.
- 26:07It is mid June, mid to late June in Gilbert, PA, not too far from
- 26:12the Poconos. Pop face to face Pink shift.
- 26:16We've interviewed recently, TMI Virus, Playboy, Man, Baby, the
- 26:23Orem's Planet Smashers. This is a pretty great festival.
- 26:28I think it's family friendly. Bark and Poe is a great white
- 26:31girl. Georgia Blues.
- 26:32Yeah, fair enough. Fair enough.
- 26:35Hopsmoker Fest. This is at the The Widowmaker
- 26:40Brewing in South Boston, South of Boston, technically in my old
- 26:44stomping grounds. Pallbearer and High Command with
- 26:47Heavy Temple and a bunch of other bands.
- 26:50This looks amazing. All right, that was all the
- 26:53festivals. More to come in the coming.
- 26:55Weeks we are. Getting near festival season,
- 26:57Maybe I will do a whole live stream breakdown of all the
- 26:59festivals this year. The big and.
- 27:01Disappointing news of the week. And this is really where we're
- 27:04going to talk about Wadi and everything else.
- 27:07Twisted Sister, which I had kind of been questioning this
- 27:10reunion. Twisted Sister man canceled
- 27:16their entire reunion tour and they had not announced US dates.
- 27:20And there was some question as to whether they could sell a
- 27:24reunion tour 10 years after they announced their last reunion
- 27:27tour. Don, I know you're.
- 27:28Heartbroken because you were going to go.
- 27:30And I don't know if you already bought.
- 27:31Tickets to fly somewhere to see. This or if you were holding.
- 27:33Out for AUS store. I'm going to say this, the
- 27:37statements were weird. Right.
- 27:39So just really quick because I might do a bigger show on this,
- 27:41but basically. Dee's health has had health
- 27:45issues for many years. Dee has had an actual really
- 27:47great solo career after Twisted Sister either before or after
- 27:51the 2016 reunion. This photos from 2018, the last
- 27:55time they headlined in the UK and.
- 27:58Twisted Sisters the 1st. Band you ever got into?
- 28:01I also hope Dee gets better. But it sounded like nice.
- 28:05It sounded like he oh, with JJ, right?
- 28:09Who I don't love, but anyway it sounded like.
- 28:11Dee. Has been having health problems
- 28:13for many years. You know that he had taken a
- 28:15step back from touring and maybe, you know, put out this
- 28:17two solo records and then was like, maybe I'm done with music.
- 28:20For a while, and I'm going to work on film because he felt
- 28:23like he was, you know, struggling to perform.
- 28:27And then this statement comes out, the entire tour is
- 28:29cancelled from JJ and Eddie, right?
- 28:32Which they already were having kind of lineup issues and shit.
- 28:35And then Dee puts out a statement.
- 28:37It's like, not only is my body broken, but my heart is not good
- 28:41anymore. And if I can't, you know there's
- 28:42only one way to rock'n'roll air. Quotes a Twisted Sister song.
- 28:46But like, yeah, I hope it's not like a snow.
- 28:48I don't think it's that dire. I just feel like maybe he just
- 28:51started to like it started to hit him that after a few years
- 28:55off, he was going to go back on the road and he just can't do
- 28:58it. You know, to his bet to his best
- 29:00ability. So why bother if it's going to
- 29:02risk your life and your health. Maybe got some advice like his
- 29:05heart's not good. I had a guy like 76 or
- 29:07something, right? Like he's not he's older.
- 29:09He always kind of think lied about how old he was, but he was
- 29:11like 30 when Twisted Sister when he came in the band and made.
- 29:15It he was already 30. So like that's 45 years ago,
- 29:19right? 46 years ago, 40-7 years ago of
- 29:22the 50. Years of Twisted Sisters so and
- 29:26then like the comment of like Eddie and JJ rock, the country
- 29:31is falling apart, they're all falling apart.
- 29:34Eddie and JJ said like we will decide the fate of the band in
- 29:37the coming weeks. Do you think Twisted Sister
- 29:39could get? A Recruit A.
- 29:41Singer and not have D like I can't imagine them without DI.
- 29:46Can't imagine them with anybody but D actually.
- 29:48So like I. Just think it's weird.
- 29:50There's definitely more there than we have heard about.
- 29:54Origin Metal is here. Dead radio show is here.
- 29:58Heavy metal vintage. Welcome, welcome.
- 30:00Great to see you. Appreciate you.
- 30:02You've got a few people watching.
- 30:03On the gram. Appreciate it, all of you all
- 30:07there. So, yeah, Mary, bummer.
- 30:10And again, same thing with Waddy, who keeps collapsing on
- 30:13stage. Joe Perry stopped doing coke and
- 30:15having, like, strokes and heart attacks on stage.
- 30:18You know, it's not a young man's game, and, you know, you're
- 30:21seeing a lot of these people I mentioned in the immemorium have
- 30:24died young. And I think like the rock, just
- 30:27the music business is rough in the best way possible.
- 30:31Dom says I like Cavallera. No Sepultura.
- 30:36Yeah, well, fair enough. I would prefer to only BD, but
- 30:39if they did it right I'd still go just to finally get to see
- 30:42them. I don't know about, you know,
- 30:45like, are there plenty of competent, great singers who
- 30:47could do justice? AG Ripper comes to mind.
- 30:49Ripper's not doing anything. You can get him to go do a
- 30:51twisted set. I just don't know.
- 30:54I just don't know. So.
- 30:55Anyway, take care of yourselves, don't do stuff you can't do Oz
- 31:00Fest. We went from a week ago where it
- 31:02was like. Sharon has talked to Live Nation
- 31:05and negotiating about Live Nation to take over Oz Fest from
- 31:09her. Now it's like Ozfest social
- 31:11media is like Ozfest is returning and could return in
- 31:142027. So if it's this level where
- 31:18after. 1. Week they're they're like
- 31:22teasing this. I don't know, Ripper.
- 31:24Put out a pretty great solo record about two years ago.
- 31:28Something to say you have a big story to tell about seeing you
- 31:32exploited on the boat. Well, if it's public, drop a
- 31:33comment. If it's private DM me.
- 31:36So honest Fest is probably this is probably a done deal again,
- 31:39I, I predicted this. I'm not trying to pat myself on
- 31:41the back too much, but I think that Sharon is going to cash
- 31:45out, sell off all the properties, sell the IP to like
- 31:48Pop House or somebody, and sell the music of Sabbath and Ozzy
- 31:51together for. Probably 5 or $600 million.
- 31:56And, you know, I mean, there's a couple of things going on with
- 32:00the boat I'm not ready and at liberty to talk about, but very
- 32:05disturbing things came off the boat this year.
- 32:10This is a We did an interview not too long ago with We did an
- 32:16interview not too long ago with the Bronx Historical Societies
- 32:20Doctor Steven Payne and Chucky Brown.
- 32:22The closing exhibit for the Uptown Rumble Heavy metal and
- 32:27rock from the Bronx, NY, which includes a bunch of hardcore and
- 32:31original death metal deathcore bands.
- 32:33My bands also are from the Bronx, where I played music
- 32:37until recently. And they're doing a closing
- 32:41panel and discussion on Sunday because they were supposed to do
- 32:43it last week, the last few weeks, but the snowstorms have
- 32:47prevented that. I know it's Super Bowl Sunday,
- 32:49but you can get out to, you know, 1:00 PM in the Bronx and
- 32:52around the Grand Concourse. And there's also a.
- 32:54Tribute to Puerto Rican Mike from District 9.
- 32:57So that's pretty great. They'll be in attendance.
- 32:59We talked a lot about the passing of Puerto Rican Mike.
- 33:03Sepultura tickets are on sale now.
- 33:05This is the UC Berkeley king if you're still watching Exodus,
- 33:10Sepultura, Exodus, Biohazard. I'm super into this show.
- 33:14I'm probably going to go and see.
- 33:16What day of the week that is, but.
- 33:19Announced for the recently discussed Crowbar and I Hate God
- 33:23next leg of their tour. But last the hardcore punk band
- 33:26that used to feature Reed Mullen of Corrosion Deformity.
- 33:29But this is really cool that they're getting to do this tour.
- 33:32They are. Playing the DNA.
- 33:33Lounge right around the corner from my house, so I really
- 33:35probably should go. Dope Throne has announced the.
- 33:38Tour across the US with Year of the Cobra.
- 33:42That looks pretty damn cool. Napalm Death's tour with dead
- 33:46guy and primitive man. I think primitive man is playing
- 33:49the West Coast, Dead guy on the east.
- 33:50I wouldn't miss that tour if you love metal and grind core.
- 33:54Drug parents were recently heard about Patrick, the front man of
- 33:57Drug. Church.
- 33:59And his comic book series. But White Reaper and Drug Church
- 34:03are doing a Co headline tour. Really fun.
- 34:05I'm into it. I promise.
- 34:07The World is doing a one off 3 show at 1720 in LA, the hardcore
- 34:11venue. Dead guys album is one of my
- 34:14favorite albums of the year and Don I do I would like to either
- 34:16get an interview with me or with you with dead guy balmorra and
- 34:21start today named from my favorite gorilla biscuits album
- 34:23and my. Favorite hardcore?
- 34:24Album of all time, of all time. I promise the world pretty good.
- 34:28I think they have a new album coming out.
- 34:30Soon Under Gang has announced the UK tour.
- 34:32We have a lot of tour stuff. Coming and going.
- 34:35Around the world right now. I'm really pumped for it.
- 34:37Green Jelly is on tour soon. This is kind of a fun and weird
- 34:40tour with the convalescence and a bunch of other people.
- 34:45Let's see this ticket. At this tours on sale Decibel
- 34:48magazine tour Kryptopsy neck rod full G really cool.
- 34:52I'm excited for that tour. Black Dahlia Murder and Acacia
- 34:55Strain also very good tours coming.
- 34:58Tours coming? There's the Kryptopsy Europe
- 35:00tour that's on right now. John Karabi, that's another one
- 35:02done for you. I might either send you to the
- 35:04tour or get you in an interview with Karabi.
- 35:07Power Wolf has announced tour dates.
- 35:08With Hammer Fall and win, Rose might just be too much power
- 35:11metal for my ears. But for y'all that love the
- 35:14power metal, good for you. Let's see.
- 35:18Mayhem, who just dropped their new album Happy Pussy for a new
- 35:22album day. Happy Mayhem New album day.
- 35:25So Mayhem is on tour? This looks really killer.
- 35:29Ginger is coming on tour soon. That looks really cool.
- 35:35Atoll has their last few. Shows this is the grind Corps
- 35:37band, the death metal band. We gave away tickets to the
- 35:41swamp survivors tour with a truck stop Dick pill and
- 35:45squelching. So go check that out.
- 35:47Witchcraft who never tours America.
- 35:50I need to go to this show. This is March.
- 35:53The something around at the bottom of the hill which is
- 35:58closing as well as the Parkside which is closing.
- 36:02Pretty gutted. San Francisco, we're losing all
- 36:04our cool venues. Fear Factory is starting to open
- 36:07up. A 35th.
- 36:08Anniversary tour dates. They first booked Australia, New
- 36:11Zealand. This is definitely going to come
- 36:13to America. I suspect we're going to get New
- 36:15Fear Factory. Music by the end of the year.
- 36:20What is this? Scream of the Sky is doing a
- 36:23tour coming up soon of the Midwest Fear Factory that's in
- 36:27Australia. I'm on clock.
- 36:29I have a new interview. I know we've interviewed Gene
- 36:32Hoagland and Brendan Small about 80 times in the last.
- 36:34Year, but we have a brand new interview I did with Brendan.
- 36:36Small and I promise you it's different than all the other
- 36:39ones. I'm on a mark and def clock.
- 36:42Pretty great tour and Castle Rat is the opener.
- 36:45Holy shit, by the way, for Castle Rat.
- 36:47So before the show started, there was so much energy and
- 36:49they were playing and it was a little divide that standings
- 36:53national and my dad jumped in on at the high 5 weighty.
- 36:56But wait, there's more. All right.
- 36:58Roddy Bottom continues his book tour.
- 37:00He is in Providence this weekend, followed by Chicago,
- 37:04Portland, Seattle. I wish he would come back to San
- 37:07Fran, but he already did there. Castle Rad has announced some
- 37:10off dates from that Amana Marth and Death Clock tour.
- 37:15Some headline dates. Rivers of Niles on tour in
- 37:18Europe and who did they meet but Debbie Gibson out of the blue?
- 37:22Fun fact, I met Debbie Gibson back in like 1988 and she was
- 37:26super fun and told me how much he loves Robert Plant and
- 37:30Aerosmith. So kind of cool.
- 37:35I think she said Pink Floyd was a little too dark for her.
- 37:39Boonwell, which is the new band from Oxbows.
- 37:42Gene Robinson and Squid Pisser are on tour here, right?
- 37:45Now. From the overkill.
- 37:49Camp Dee Dee Varney continues to have shoulder problems.
- 37:51So Christian. Older Wilbur's, formerly of Fear
- 37:53Factory, formerly of Violence, is on the thrash of the.
- 37:57Titans. Tour with Testament, as we
- 37:59mentioned. Yeah, right.
- 38:02And then just like everybody again, please be skeptical.
- 38:06I know this is going to sound. Shitty, but be skeptical of all
- 38:10these AI. Things popping up on social
- 38:14media, on Facebook, there's all these pages that seem to have
- 38:18rock news, but it's all fake. Look at this.
- 38:20Terrible. I'm sorry TikTok you can't see
- 38:23this, but look at this. Horrendous photo of Led
- 38:26Zeppelin. This isn't even good AI.
- 38:28They don't look anything like these fucking guys.
- 38:31Even the guitar is wrong. Jimmy would not play a double
- 38:35neck anyway. Like live right?
- 38:38I don't know if people know that.
- 38:39Like that's a creation. For the song Remains the Same,
- 38:42he actually recorded the Stairway to Heaven solo with his
- 38:46Dan Electron classic Black and White.
- 38:48But this is. Dumb Led Zeppelin is not coming
- 38:50on tour. They're like, if it sounds too
- 38:53fantastical and you don't see it in more than one place, it's
- 38:55probably a lie, OK? And I know again, my interest is
- 38:59that you follow my site and my socials and trust me.
- 39:03For. Verified news and information,
- 39:05but it's just so fucking annoying.
- 39:08Right, a short scale double neck fucking.
- 39:10Ridiculous bro. Debbie Gibson does look amazing.
- 39:13I know Guitar Center tried to flex with this, you know.
- 39:18This. Valentine's marketing.
- 39:20As a marketing expert, I always pick on shit.
- 39:23Robert. Plan is always coming.
- 39:24He's coming right now. Guitar Center posted If you
- 39:27don't buy a guitar, a guitar for if you don't play.
- 39:30Guitar for someone else Will and Diadario answered like what if
- 39:33she's already playing guitar by herself bro?
- 39:35And then I will give credit to Guitar Center.
- 39:38They answered Diadario and said good point.
- 39:41And then Dom says the security pulled your dad off the divider,
- 39:46Wadi said. This song goes out to your dad
- 39:48next when they played nice. That's a great story, man.
- 39:55That's a great story. I appreciate you, Dom.
- 39:58You're. Bringing a lot to the table.
- 39:59As always, I appreciate you, man.
- 40:01All right, there's just a reminder of the tip venue one
- 40:03more time if you. You're feeling tipsy.
- 40:05I know it's a tough. Time in the world, but yeah.

- 40:16I'm going to put some on. I think this is this is the
- 40:19unscented if you have people. Who?
- 40:20Are a smell averse in your family smell averse?
- 40:24Not smell averse. Smell averse Sounds like
- 40:26something gore existed. The smell overt or any metal
- 40:29show honestly. But these beard products from
- 40:32Fable Beard and generally these hygiene products, beard washes,
- 40:36shampoos, deodorants have been just really kicking all the ass
- 40:39for me in my life. I'm a pretty sweaty cucumber
- 40:42individual sweaty potato shaped person.
- 40:45And I love fabled beard if you use our.
- 40:47Coupon in the description, you get $10 off your first order and

- 41:18online as much as possible and functioning correct and updated
- 41:21correctly and backed up correctly, you need.

- 41:26He's been in my corner for almost a decade and then again,
- 41:29everybody but TikTok is getting to see this via Stream Yard if
- 41:33you want to stream like we do. Hit the link in the description.
- 41:38And you know, we're on all the things, we're on all the sofas
- 41:40right now. But, you know, I hang on.
- 41:43So, man, your dad sounds like a complete bad ass.
- 41:48Dumb. That's amazing.
- 41:53That's fun. Yeah, man, I don't know.
- 41:55I think, you know, security has a tough job, but sometimes they
- 41:58get overzealous. And I go to a lot of places
- 42:01where they don't really understand metal heads, so they
- 42:04think that we're they're more scared.
- 42:06And when the security is scared of the fans, it can't go well.
- 42:10I just love this anthrax antifa thing that went up.
- 42:15One of them. Is hanging up on my wall.
- 42:17They went, you know, the Moshi Band was instituted in Boston
- 42:19when I lived there because of a fucking Flogging Molly.
- 42:22Show and then gore played like this fancy Broadway style
- 42:26theater the Wang and no joke there that actually called the
- 42:31Wang and you know beside the fact that they had a.
- 42:34Plastic cup of all the velvet and gold leaf and everything.
- 42:38Like they tried to like make make people.
- 42:39Not much. It was fucking dumb.
- 42:42I definitely have a photo of it somewhere.
- 42:43But anyway, Anthrax fans mad on Reddit about whether Anthrax is
- 42:47an anti fascist group. Of course they are.
- 42:49They always have. Been they're pretty funny.
- 42:51All right, let's talk about the news.
- 42:54And First things first, the Super Bowl is this weekend.
- 42:57Which show are you watching? Drop a comment the Super Bowl
- 43:00halftime show with Bad Bunny, which I am personally excited
- 43:02for or. Kid Rock's stupid Turning Point
- 43:06America concert. This shit is absolutely asinine.
- 43:10Or the Puppy Bowl. Or the lingerie Bowl.
- 43:12Or smoke a bowl. Whatever the.
- 43:13Fuck you going to do? I'm not super invested in the
- 43:18Super. Bowl I don't care about.
- 43:19Seattle and I don't like New England.
- 43:21But like I have a lot of. Boston friends, that.
- 43:23Would be really happy if they won.
- 43:24I'm kind of pissed at the NFL for snubbing my duty, Eli
- 43:27Manning out of the Hall of Fame, but whatever.
- 43:30Seems like everybody has dropped off this Kid Rock show,
- 43:33everybody. Creed dying down, Ludacris.
- 43:37People are just dropping off. And I saw some people that was
- 43:39like trying to say that Bad Bunny is going to be fake music.
- 43:42You know the Super Bowl is simulcast.
- 43:44All over the world it is the most watched sporting event in
- 43:47any given year and all the shows are pre recorded and then piped
- 43:53in because if you've ever played live outdoors you know there's
- 43:56an. Echo effect.
- 43:56So you have to use in ear monitors for a stadium show
- 43:59anyway. So every band you've ever sent
- 44:01into stadium, they're not playing to take they're not, you
- 44:04know, pantomiming, they're not lip syncing, but you they're
- 44:07listening to inner ear monitors because there's a delay to the
- 44:11sound everyone hears. That's why when it when you
- 44:13watch a concert on TV on broadcast.
- 44:15TV it looks off. Because the mouth is not
- 44:18matching up to the music, so there's some notion that somehow
- 44:21the Kid Rock show is going to be like the like.
- 44:23Authentically a rock band and singer's playing.
- 44:26No it isn't. It's going to be simulcast.
- 44:28And broadcast. It cannot be live.
- 44:31So just you know, I don't understand people.
- 44:34If you hate, if you just hate brown people or you hate Latinos
- 44:39or you know, you love lat, you love Taco Tuesday, but you hate
- 44:42Bad Bunny, you're an idiot. And by the way, Bad Bunny,
- 44:46American Puerto Rico is part of America.
- 44:48Should be a state. Something stupid with Dom says
- 44:51the Patriots suck. Go jets.
- 44:52Oh I'm so sorry bro, I'm a Giants.
- 44:53Fan see how it's have Sam. Darnold, you should be rooting
- 44:56for him. Absolutely.
- 44:57I'll take it as a win. Yeah.
- 44:58You know, he got a rough break and he was, you know, New York
- 45:01was not the most kind to him. That guy, you know, similar to
- 45:04Kirk Cousins, nobody has parlayed like, a mediocre career
- 45:07into a couple of great years and hundreds of millions of dollars
- 45:10like Sam Darnold. So respect.
- 45:12My team is the Giants. We're starting over with the new
- 45:14coach. Our top two offensive players
- 45:20are injury prone and our quarterback is also a concussion
- 45:23prone. Great.
- 45:26The Grammys. I'll just quickly touch on this.
- 45:28You can go watch my longer breakdown of the Grammys.
- 45:32They really don't understand metal.
- 45:33I love turnstile. I have that record ever enough.
- 45:36I fully, you know I have. Full respect for them, but also
- 45:40at the same time but not should not win a Grammy for metal.
- 45:45They're not a metal band. I agree that punk is metal
- 45:47adjacent, but really they are not metal.
- 45:49They're not like as hardcore as Power Trip.
- 45:52They're much more commercially viable.
- 45:54They're not quite pop punk, but alternative rock and then
- 45:57occasionally hardcore. OK great.
- 45:59Not metal. Not a metal performing band.
- 46:02And the fact that they beat out Sleep Token, Ghosts, Spirit Box,
- 46:06and Deftones weren't even nominated in that category is
- 46:08mind blowing. Nice to see an alternative rock
- 46:12win for The Cure, their first two Grammys ever.
- 46:16You know, good. For Jelly Roll to win a Grammy
- 46:18for country, at least it's not anybody else.
- 46:20That sucks. You know Spirit Box performed on
- 46:23the show. The tribute to Ozzy was nice.
- 46:25They did mention Ace freely but then I was super pissed that.
- 46:30They left out Brent Brent Hines of Mastodon who is a Grammy
- 46:33winning artist and multiple. Time nominee in the immemorial.
- 46:36Just absolutely unforgivable, but you know, again, they just
- 46:39don't care you're. Going to see me complain much
- 46:41harder and more coherently. Go watch my Other.
- 46:45Live stream from this. Week plus the first new album is
- 46:48out today normal isn't it's a banger they released a new music
- 46:52video for their song bad wolf they and know Bobby Weir that's
- 46:56correct but. Absolutely shameful, but
- 47:00especially because he just died, right?
- 47:03But. Pusiper normal isn't if anyone
- 47:05can get me that comic book. I will pay great.
- 47:07Money for it, just not like $500 eBay money for it.
- 47:10There are pusiper normal isn't screenings all weekend at Indy
- 47:16record stores. Great way to drive people into
- 47:18those record stores to buy the vinyl variants and CDs of the
- 47:21Pusiper album. And I believe Monday the 9th
- 47:26that live mini movie concert from last summer will be.
- 47:30You know, able to purchase from their website.
- 47:33So there's a pussy reverse. Comic if anybody can get me one.
- 47:36Thanks. Co Defendants, this is the.
- 47:40Super group of punks, Fat Mike from no effects on writing and
- 47:44production and you know Jeske Ramos and from get dead they.
- 47:52They haven't commissioned 1 yet. Interesting.
- 47:54So they have a new album coming out.
- 47:56Lifer and super exciting about that.
- 47:58Dropped the first single. I was into it.
- 48:00There's a lot of guests on this record.
- 48:02Pretty. Fun project from Fat Mike now
- 48:05that No Effects is retired. I think since I missed the show
- 48:08last week I didn't have the no effects documentary. 40 Years of
- 48:11Fucking up is coming soon. You know, super.
- 48:15Interesting stuff. Koyo has announced a new album,
- 48:17Barely Here. I can't tell you how fast I
- 48:20pre-ordered that. By the way, Pure Noise Records
- 48:22having a lot of sales right now, like a warehouse sale.
- 48:25Pretty fun. Koyo great.
- 48:27Sort of again similar to turnstile.
- 48:30Wouldn't be surprised if they also do a knock loose or a
- 48:32turnstile and they blow up big. Kind of surprising Adam Willard
- 48:37has stepped down after less than three years.
- 48:39From. Alkaline Trio.
- 48:41We all know that Matt Skiba is kind of sketchy, but great band
- 48:44otherwise. And very surprised about Adam
- 48:47stepping down. I don't think their original
- 48:50drummers. Are coming back.
- 48:51So I know they've been working a lot in the studio with Travis
- 48:54Barker. I don't really want Travis
- 48:56Barker fucking up my Alkaline Trio.
- 48:58But you know, what are you going to do?
- 49:01A Williams. Who is an incredible metal
- 49:03adjacent artist in the UK. We just caught her on tour,
- 49:06we'll be reviewing that next week.
- 49:08She's got a new single. Out, I believe.
- 49:09She's signed to Raining Phoenix music for her next.
- 49:11Album so very cool stuff. Phil Collins is not doing well.
- 49:16Phil Collins has round the clock Hospice care and he's doing
- 49:19pretty bad. Even though recently he said he
- 49:21would really love to make music again.
- 49:23He's starting to get the feeling back in his neck and hands he
- 49:26just can't. You know, he's had, you know, a
- 49:29couple of bad falls and brain issues and strokes.
- 49:33And so I know he says he wants to make music again.
- 49:36I am not ready. I was not ready for Ozzy to pass
- 49:39away and he certainly could have died a million times and didn't,
- 49:42but I am not ready. For.
- 49:44I am just not ready for Phil Collins to not be allowed, so
- 49:47please protect him, not that I. Care but Van Halen 5150 is
- 49:53getting into luxury issue. I could not care less about this
- 49:56album. I think it's like 8 CDs and a
- 49:58vinyl. Maybe it's something for you
- 50:00Don. I hate Sammy Hagar with a
- 50:02passion. The documentary.
- 50:04Shout out to Planet Rock website and magazine.
- 50:06A actual website and magazine. You can trust the Paul.
- 50:09Diano documentary trailer is out now.
- 50:14No Hagar ever. I'm sorry, that's Nick.
- 50:16So super happy and excited to see the Paul Diano trailer say
- 50:19that he didn't live to see it come out.
- 50:21I think the probably last end point of that.
- 50:24Trailer is him meeting Dickinson and having kind of a cool come
- 50:27to Jesus thing after they shot on each other for years in the
- 50:30press. Aerosmith for some reason is
- 50:33reissuing a legacy edition of their debut album.
- 50:35Does have 3 great songs, Mama Can Make It and Dream On which
- 50:39was not a hit for many years but you know, super interesting.
- 50:44This deluxe issue version with 4 EP, 4 LP's and four LP's and A
- 50:51and a flight jacket is. $400.00 There's a 5LP version for $300
- 50:58and a four LP version without the flight jacket for $280.
- 51:02I don't need this, but you know, if you're a die hard Aerosmith
- 51:06fan, maybe you need. This I don't know.
- 51:09Also. Tin Fed.
- 51:10Speaking of bands I dig, Tin Fedders was a band from
- 51:15Sacramento in the 90s and 2000s that was kind of a precursor.
- 51:19They were kind of peers of Deftones and Far and Will Haven.
- 51:24And so Tin Fed features of Rake Osborne, Reykjavik Osborne who
- 51:32now is in Death Valley High for the last 15 years.
- 51:35So Tin Fed is actually getting vinyl re issues of their classic
- 51:38first couple of records and could be interested in this.
- 51:41I would love to catch up with Rekha.
- 51:42He did an interview quite a while ago.
- 51:44He's also worked on Deftones and Crosses Music together with
- 51:47Chino and and Shawn Afar. So pretty fun.
- 51:52I, Doris, the pop band from Australia has dropped their new
- 51:56album and I love this Beastie Boys homage on the album cover.
- 52:01A lot of new. Music.
- 52:02A lot of bands in the studio, a lot of new albums coming out
- 52:04right now. Liam Al Mahor is here.
- 52:07Black Sheep is here. 666. Is here.
- 52:10What's up, What's up, what's up? This is kind of fun.
- 52:14The metal core band Varsity did a cover of K Pesaria by Bad
- 52:19Bunny Capitalizing. On the Super Bowl hype and
- 52:22discourse. And it's actually pretty.
- 52:24Banging. I didn't know that they had
- 52:26Latino members, but it's fun. Just for no particular reason,
- 52:31Jay Weinberg was in Chicago today and went to Kuma's Corner
- 52:34for a meal, and I just love this picture of him rocking a
- 52:37Jawbreaker shirt because I love Jawbreaker.
- 52:39From the Bay Area originally, Is there a new chat pile single
- 52:43that dropped today called Mass? I did not see that, but also I
- 52:46was kind of thanks to I wonder. I was also kind of off.
- 52:51I always coke a bit today, just a bit because I have work to do.
- 52:54But yeah, fine, man, That's awesome.
- 52:56I'll check that out. You know, chat piles are one of
- 52:58our biggest interviews. So here's how the record
- 53:01industry works. Brady Ebert was, you know, fired
- 53:06from turnstile about a year ago, right before they blew up.
- 53:11And then he, you know, have a new band called The Set that's
- 53:14kind of like hardcore and rap and turn style obviously blowing
- 53:19up and and winning Grammys and getting awards at the Tribeca.
- 53:22Film Festival and such and then. Brady about a.
- 53:24Week ago was like, oh, the band is performative and they're
- 53:27really not, you know? Their activism is fake and their
- 53:32charity stuff, they stole the money and then today he was
- 53:35fired from the sick. So like, this is how the music
- 53:38industry goes. It's a very small world.
- 53:39You're going to talk shit on your former band.
- 53:41Your current band may not like it because they're going to not
- 53:44trust you anymore. OK?
- 53:48Also, this is upsetting, so trigger warning Michael Majewski
- 53:51who used to be in the great death metal band development.
- 53:55Has been charged with vehicular manslaughter.
- 53:57Like I was saying earlier, Dillinger and Dom and a few of
- 54:01our real ones here, there's a lot of shitty news going on
- 54:05behind the scenes. I'm not ready to talk about all
- 54:08of it, but this is kind of I'm not docking anybody.
- 54:10This is public knowledge and kind of sucks.
- 54:14Kind of looks like a cool dude to interview.
- 54:16Indeed, indeed. Nick Barker, the legendary black
- 54:21and death metal drummer from Cradle Of Filth and Lock Up and
- 54:24Terrorizer and a bunch of other things.
- 54:27I had his first interview in a while with a blog and just kind
- 54:33of reminded me to remind everybody that he's not doing
- 54:35well. He's probably never going to
- 54:37return to touring and reporting again.
- 54:39Physically, he needs a kidney transplant.
- 54:41He's on constant dialysis. There's still a GoFundMe that is
- 54:45active. For Nick, if you want to
- 54:47contribute, I think they have about 70,000 of $100,000 he was
- 54:51asking for. But I met him and he was a real
- 54:54sweetheart. I love Nick Parker and I'm.
- 54:55Very sad that this went the way it did.
- 54:59Cliff Burton Day is coming up on Tuesday in Castro Valley.
- 55:03Decisions, decisions. I would love to attend this.
- 55:05One of these years I can get down to Castro Valley from San
- 55:09Francisco by public transit. It's also coroner at Berkeley,
- 55:13if King is still here. I might like to go to that show.
- 55:17We'll see. But yeah, Cliff Burton, just a
- 55:20reminder. Did he do some work from Venom?
- 55:23Maybe just a reminder that, you know, Cliff Burton's dad, Ray,
- 55:28rather than just getting rich off of Cliff's royalties,
- 55:31donated all of Cliff's royalties from his Metallica albums to the
- 55:36Castro Valley School's music programs.
- 55:38Pretty amazing. Ray Burton, rest in power.
- 55:41Cliff Burton, rest in power. Cliff Burton Day, Tuesday.
- 55:45Skid Row This is insane. If I could sing better I would
- 55:48try. Out for this, Skid Row has
- 55:50teamed up with Sweetwater, the music instrument company, to do
- 55:53a basically a cattle call to find a new singer.
- 55:56I don't believe they're going to pick a rando unknown singer.
- 55:59It did work for Journey. I don't think it's going to work
- 56:01for them. They need kind of an established
- 56:04professional. Singer but.
- 56:05Maybe they will find a uniquely talented.
- 56:07Incredible person. I can't hit those high notes.
- 56:09I could do a whole rest and I don't look cool, but do it
- 56:12anyway you're going to. That's fun.
- 56:17I just remember seeing the the Quiet Riot situation with the
- 56:24singers and I just don't want to go through it, you know, I don't
- 56:26want to be embarrassed or, you know, I interviewed Snake Sabo a
- 56:30year ago at this time and he was doing pretty great.
- 56:34RIP and Store Day has been announced for April 18th.
- 56:37I will complain about the list online soon.
- 56:40I probably will still buy a few $100 worth.
- 56:42Of stuff like I have done. Twice a year, every year for the
- 56:44last bunch of years. The most 2 notable things are
- 56:48Slipknot. Look Outside Your Window is
- 56:50finally coming. Although apparently now it is
- 56:52not a Slipknot record and this may have been what the hold up
- 56:54was for years and years. It is going to be listed as
- 56:57Clown, Corey Taylor, Joey Jordison and Jim Root or Sid.
- 57:02I'm sorry, Sid the 3rd and Jim Root, so not Joey.
- 57:05And so this record that is like 151617 years old that has never
- 57:08been released is finally coming out.
- 57:10We have an album cover. We have track listing.
- 57:12You can't. Pre-order, you have to come into
- 57:13a record. Store on April. 18th I believe
- 57:15there are 5000 copies of this. Coming out and the band didn't
- 57:19even really get to announce it their way because Record Store
- 57:21Day leaked. It as a product information
- 57:24something stupid with Don says his first show was Bach doing
- 57:26skid round. Yep.
- 57:27I'm hoping to interview Bach next week.
- 57:30We'll see. And the other big thing that I'm
- 57:33early record Store day stuff that I'm excited about is this
- 57:36Thin Lizzie live out. This has been a very bootleg
- 57:39show live in Cleveland. This was the one American tour
- 57:42they ever did that was aborted but apparently was like the one
- 57:45sober show of the tour. I really have to go back and
- 57:47listen to it to see if I would buy it.
- 57:49But I do love Thin. Lizzie and there's so.
- 57:51Few other Thin Lizzy stuffs out there that this would maybe be a
- 57:55thing. I would spring for and a few
- 57:57others. In Flames is in the studio
- 58:01making a new record and John Rice is their new drummer.
- 58:05You know John from many death metal bands he's been in.
- 58:07I think he did a live stint with In Flames before.
- 58:10What a killer. Lineup they have Dillinger with,
- 58:14you know, Chris Broderick formerly and Megadeth and Liam
- 58:17and now John. Snot is also in the studio
- 58:20finishing up their new and comeback album, so it'd be very
- 58:23interesting to see what their new singer and Doc Oil perhaps
- 58:26on the record. Ice T gave a new interview.
- 58:30This is this fact blew my brain. Ice T is currently the longest
- 58:33running male actor in US prime time history for his role as
- 58:37Odafin Tutuola on Law and Order Special Victims Unit.
- 58:40He's been on TV consecutively for 30 years, but he gave an
- 58:43interview where he talked about changing lyrics from cop killer
- 58:47to ice killer. And why?
- 58:49And people were like, I can't believe a guy who.
- 58:51Plays a pop, Would sing Ice Killer.
- 58:54You've never been listening. Tell me you've never listened to
- 58:56Ice T's rap careers while telling me you've never listened
- 58:59to Ice T's rap career. My heaviest pass by.
- 59:02What's up? Happy to see you all.
- 59:05We're almost done folks. I need to eat dinner.
- 59:07Dropkick Murphys. Speaking of ice and anti ice,
- 59:10Dropkick Murphys are dropping a new.
- 59:12EP A split A split EP or LP with Haywire, also from New England.
- 59:19New England Forever is the name of the EP for the people as a
- 59:21new singer. This photo.
- 59:22Is of Dropkick Murphys last summer playing on a roof deck
- 59:26pier overlooking the harbor in New York.
- 59:29By Omar. Great shot, Melissa.
- 59:32This is going to be me and you, that older couple.
- 59:35This Is Us as an older couple standing at the back of the punk
- 59:38show. I also want to tell my friends
- 59:39this is youth code or. Vows.
- 59:44Yes, Cop Killer is a body count song and he still performs it,
- 59:48but he changed the name to Ice Killer last summer.
- 59:51Actually. New music Friday.
- 59:53Let's do a little new music. Friday stuff.
- 59:56There's so many cool new albums today that are out, but let's
- 59:59take a look at what's out and quickly see if I can do a little
- 1:00:04live screen share of something. So let's see.
- 1:00:15Oh, this will be fun. So let's see if this is any
- 1:00:17good. Magnetic eye records, Jack
- 1:00:20Harlan and the dead crows. I think this is going to be
- 1:00:24pretty badass. Let's see if I can screen the
- 1:00:27share for a second and then let's see and we can get it to
- 1:00:38go. I'm going to screw it.
- 1:00:43Share the screen here this.
- 1:01:06Button. CLC.
- 1:01:24Monster Madness. Wow, I really like this.
- 1:02:03Pretty cool. I can't play the whole thing
- 1:02:05because I don't want to get in trouble with the tube of the
- 1:02:08use, but that was pretty rad. Hey, yo.
- 1:02:14I'm back some new music Friday. That was kind of fun.
- 1:02:20Let's now quickly run through the list.
- 1:02:23All right out today and this weekend you should be picking up
- 1:02:27and spinning agent might misery remorse subconscious all the
- 1:02:30damn vampires vice core Ashen's awaken Ryan's assignment very
- 1:02:35difficult name in the market but with the end comes silence big
- 1:02:39big train the prog man woodcut bitterness hallowed beat the
- 1:02:42game blossoms fall la alma there's.
- 1:02:46More prog rock. Cartoons can't die.
- 1:02:48Rebirth. Hello, Hammer Dark.
- 1:02:51Thoughts with the lights out. Earthless live at Roadburn.
- 1:02:54Great band. Earthless.
- 1:02:55I'll be seeing them at Mojave Experience.
- 1:02:57Exsanguinate Death. Saturnalia at the Kinneon.
- 1:03:02The force of nature evoked Eclipse.

- 1:04:26like the French Revolution. Visions of Atlantis for some
- 1:04:30pirate metal Armada on Napalm Records and Wicked smile when
- 1:04:34night falls self released. So.
- 1:04:37That is all the new music coming out this week.
- 1:04:40And that means we move on to the Marlin cover has been out for
- 1:04:45the Maryland. Oh, the Manson cover is so bad.
- 1:04:48Yeah. You know, so I don't think.
- 1:04:50He's except for Sweet Dreams, he's never really had a very
- 1:04:53good cover that I can think of. Dom's mom is the manager of the
- 1:04:58company. It's not like what you think.
- 1:04:59She's right next to your new dad singing the songs.
- 1:05:01That's amazing dude. You know, my mom used to cut,
- 1:05:04you know, my mom, you know, supported me as a.
- 1:05:06Band dude for many years and she wanted me to thrive and achieve
- 1:05:10things so. It's time for the mailbag and I
- 1:05:13have a mystery pack. Even Dad won't eat the mystery
- 1:05:16pack. If you know that reference,
- 1:05:17you're awesome. I did a bunch of shopping around
- 1:05:21Black Friday and Christmas. Anything that was like a
- 1:05:25discount sale or a mystery pack or.
- 1:05:27Buy. 10 LP's for, you know, half the price I did.
- 1:05:32So this is an underground label from Europe called Icons
- 1:05:35Creating Evil Art Econ. This came to me with no tariff
- 1:05:39payment from Europe. And then they kind of like
- 1:05:42realized that I bought something from them.
- 1:05:44So they sent me a bonus pack of additional records, which I
- 1:05:47thought was super nice. So what I'm going to do, I
- 1:05:50haven't opened this, I just cut it open.
- 1:05:52And. I'm just going to look and see
- 1:05:55what they sent me. I may not know any of these, I
- 1:05:57may know some of these. I don't know, but I'm excited
- 1:06:01nonetheless. So let's just show you what they
- 1:06:04sent. I don't think there's any
- 1:06:05packing information. I was hoping to get a thing.
- 1:06:08I think it's like 123456 albums for the price of whatever 2.
- 1:06:15So let's see. And all that stuff is usually
- 1:06:19avant-garde extreme metal. Married with children.
- 1:06:22Anthrax. Dom wins the prize.
- 1:06:25Bonnie Lee le Bleu de MO Mora. I don't speak French.
- 1:06:34Well, there's this. That's kind of cool.
- 1:06:36Let's see. All right, Lara Lynn, Something
- 1:06:41more than love. This OK, cool.
- 1:06:46Oh fine, here's here's an artist I not only know and love.
- 1:06:49I used to work for this guy Jessie.
- 1:06:50Malin. You may know him from
- 1:06:52Degeneration. Literally the train station my
- 1:06:56parents used to get on and get off at.
- 1:06:57This is Jesse Mallon. The fine art of self-defense
- 1:07:00destruction. Limited edition reissue.
- 1:07:03So this is. Cool, I might do something on.
- 1:07:04This chewing gum promise and monster.
- 1:07:09So strange again. It was kind of like buy a
- 1:07:13mystery pack. And see what you get.
- 1:07:14This is fun. Tommy Stinson, who you know from
- 1:07:17the Replacements and Guns and Roses.
- 1:07:19Cowboys in the Campfire. Brand new studio album, but
- 1:07:25brand new win, but kind of fun. Look at that.
- 1:07:27It's kind of a fun cover and then I have no idea what this
- 1:07:37is. Maple and rye for everything.
- 1:07:45I don't know what this is. This is some bizarre shit.
- 1:07:48So icons creating evil arc, check their label out.
- 1:07:52You might find some bands you like.
