[upbeat music] Lock, lock, lock the... Shut the front door. Shut the front door. Can't let, can't let no, uh, can't let no people in the shop anymore.
0:17
Hoodlums. Hey, cripes, we were gonna start the show at 6:00 PM straight up, but, uh, customers came by and they wanted stuff done, and we do that out on the sidewalk now, you know.
0:26
It's kinda like, uh- Curbside service... kinda like, kinda like curbside service. There you go. Mm-hmm. And, uh- You push the button. It... I don't know what other bike sho- what other bike shops charge, but, uh,
0:38
10 bucks for a tube and installation, that seemed like a pretty good deal. Hell yeah. That's making people feel pretty good about themselves in this shitty time. You can go fuck yourself.
0:46
And I actually have to address my bar beater, so I need a new tire and- Oh, yeah... not really tu- Well, I maybe... No, I don't think I need a new tube. Can we say this is Full Spectrum Cycling Show number 53?
0:58
I thought you said that already. What? I was- No, no... I was locking the damn door. 53, right? I was shutting the front door. It is 53? 'Cause last week we were a year old. We're sneaking up on how old I am already.
1:06
Uh-oh. This is freaky. [laughs] I don't know. Wait. We're gonna have Zito on the show in a little bit. So wait, last week was mine and I didn't even put two and two together that I had- Yeah... to be 52. It's like 5427.
1:18
We were gonna call Zito at 6:30, but it's past that and that was only because Ja- Jeopardy! was still on. I missed Jeopardy! because of this. Yeah. And then I get here and look- Jeopardy!... you're not even ready.
1:28
Well, you had to change a tire. Don't worry about it. Or two, I should say. Boy, his back tire needs changing too, so he'll be back. Yeah.
1:34
That's what we do here at, uh, the old Everyday Cycle Shop, uh, help folks out when we can, notwithstanding that nobody can come into the store at this particular time. You could leave your bike outside.
1:46
You could lock it up and push your key through the slot, just like everybody does when they're getting their car work done. Indeed, indeed. I mean, you go to the dealer, you...
1:55
If they're not open, you throw it in an envelope and you push it through the slot and you say, "Call me when you're ready." Right. Kinda how it works now. If you wanna buy a bike, you can do that online.
2:06
Could even deliver it to your house without you ever stepping foot in the shop. There you go. 'Cause guess what? You can't step foot in the shop. Nope.
2:13
Been reading a lot of shops around the country this week and what they're doing and this is just, uh, kinda the way it is for now. Creative ways of addressing the situation at this point. Yeah.
2:27
Which, you, I mean, hats off to the world that- Well, heck yeah... in certain situations like that. Probably not gonna last forever, but it's gonna last in Wisconsin at least for another 30 days minimum.
2:37
Oh, no, everything will be fine by Easter. [laughs] Says the orange guy across the table over there. By the way, I believe we're a s- a s- a social distance away from- I, I'm six feet away from you mother [beep].
2:50
Oh, yeah. Yep. He's standing, he's standing way back by the Wyatt. I am. Oh, that's 'cause- Don't touch the grips, though. I just- That's 'cause I love the Wyatt... I just wiped those grips down with alcohol.
2:57
Don't touch them. Ah. Yeah. [laughs] Don't even look at them. Hey, we're also going around the shop. We're, we're wiping stuff down, we're wearing gloves, we're eating jerky by cracky. Oh, that's pretty good jerky too.
3:09
I think jerky is actually the key to this whole thing. It is. Jerky's the key to everything in life, man. Mm, that's some damn good jerky. I bet it came from Held's. It, it, it, in fact, did come from Held's.
3:21
When did you go up there? Uh, when I got that slab jerky. I just, you know, I can't leave Held's without spending, like, you know, way too much money. So I, you know, that was a gigantic thing of jerky- Ah...
3:32
as I was walking out the door. I'm like, "I'll have that too." I'm just, I'm just- That pic- that, that picture that I was sent on the last ride we were on was very deceptive.
3:41
It was not as large of a jerky slab as I thought it was gonna be. Now, a lot- That, it was a lot... it was a, that's exactly what she said. [laughs] Ooh.
3:50
But yeah, it wasn't, like, a, you know, a lamb shoulder size sucker that- You know, you can-... I was expecting but then also it was like-... if you want, it's like $19.95 a pound. You could go in there- Shit, yeah...
4:01
in a lamb size portion. [laughs] Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. I mean, yeah, the shit you brought in was like... And yeah, that, that one was from Bro- Boynie's. I should've brought some Boynie's. Schmickity schmack.
4:12
Boynie's? Boynie's in Port. Boynie's. I, I will admit today that I had some Boynie's Hungarian bacon, smoked bacon today. Oh, got, uh, yeah, got, grabbed some, I have some- Thank you, John Treski.
4:25
Have, have some, uh, some of that bacon sitting in the freezer right now. Mm-hmm. Bacon pieces. Pieces. Bacon shreds or whatever the hell. It's, uh, dude, it's, it's bacon, man.
4:39
[laughs] So, how, so with the, with everybody being kind of locked away in their own little domicile, how is, uh, how's cycling helped you guys keep your- Sanity... keep your mind, your sanity? That's about it.
4:51
That is really about it. I- I mean, those first couple days- Well, you live in batshit crazy house. Well, there's that. [laughs] Hi, Kim. [laughs] Hey. And Coral, my feral bobcat cat. Oh, yeah. Right.
5:07
That is, uh, my, my new coworker. [laughs] Holy shit. Oh, yeah, my... Also, Tony and JK are both working from home. Mm-hmm. Yes, sir.
5:17
I have been taking this opportunity to work in the warehouse, which is solitary but quite cathartic because that place was a total mess, needs to be completely- How's it looking?
5:28
I'd like to push it all out the wall- [laughs]... except there's a wall in the way. [laughs] You know, there's a lot of- Are they gonna renovate that like they did the one next to it? I'll tell you.
5:37
No, that was nice of- When they blew, when they, yeah. That was my- They blew, they blew out some windows there. That was my- So there was- That was my original space- Mm-hmm... where the door is. Mm.
5:45
You just don't wanna have a party up there when somebody walks off that thing [laughs] 'cause it's, it's 18 feet up. Indeed. I need to go take a leak. Now I can't.
5:54
[laughs] Speaking of leaks, how about with, uh, Mike and Jeff King at Mike's five car horse barn speakeasy? [laughs] Yeah, [laughs] that was insane. That was cool. Just a, just a quick stop on the, on the- Pre-game...
6:09
ride around the East Side of MKE I, um, on Sunday I went for this bike ride and it was really fun except for that it was really cold, and the guy that was riding it, he was on the fastest freaking bike I've ever seen.
6:21
My God, that bike is fast. [laughs] 29 and a half [laughs] miles an hour. Oh, shit. Yeah.
6:26
You know what I th- I saw a picture of that and- So you know what I, what I thought while we were riding and, and, and Tony's bike would do about 25, I thought- Mm...
6:33
"Well, it's kinda like being in a Tour de France Peloton." [laughs] Except only 160 guys in the world can go that fast under their own power. Right. We can do it just by peddling a little harder and having some e-assist.
6:47
Oh, yeah. Mm-hmm. God dang, that was fun. I was thinking about that. When I saw that picture, I'm going like, I'm like, "Oh, man, they made their way..."
6:53
Uh, I'm like, "Oh, they made their w-" You know, I'm like, "Oh, man, I would be a little bit whipped but- To be fair- No, you're not... to, to be fair- To be fair, on the way out we had the wind at our back. Yes.
7:03
Whatever. So coming- And you had a motor in your- So coming- Under your crotch... coming home- Wait, wait, though... it was even better on the way home. The motor was not in our crotch, it was in front of our bikes.
7:12
Whatever. Anyway, I will say Monday- Below your crotch... after that ride- Below... because we did it pretty much as fast as we could, I was sore on Monday from riding my bike. Yeah.
7:21
Well, I, I would've done that about- Karma. That's what our eastern- I would've done that at 12 to 14 miles an hour, not 25 And, and not be hurting. Our eastern friends- Well, hey... would call that karma.
7:32
[laughs] You know we're supposed to call Zito at some point. Should we do that before we do- Yeah, we should before we get to the top of the hill... I think pro- probably Jeopardy!'s over, right? It's over. All right.
7:41
You guys- Yeah. It ended at half-hour... uh, talk amongst yourselves. I'll, I'll dial up the, uh, Mr. Chris Zito, hmm. Oh. But yes, at the beginning of this pandemic, the weather was... It was cold. It was...
7:57
I mean, not that, that prohibitive to go outside and what have you, but normally what fueled me to get on my bike and ride would be going to work. Going, going down to Nomad? Well, yeah.
8:09
[laughs] Or- Or that's, that's after work... or going to a bar. You know, th- that kind of thing. Or going for a ride to have a reward. Mm-hmm. I mean, now I have to bring the reward with me, which is fine.
8:18
It's just an, a new variation on a theme. Right. And, eh, why not? When- Calling Zito... but it's trying to get used to that. Right. And it's hard to, like, program that- It, it's a different mindset. Yeah...
8:29
in for real. And, eh, you know, in all else fails, Wu-Tang Park. Yep. It's always worse- Hey, how's it going? Oh, there he is. Hi. Hey, we were, uh- What's happening? We were just talking amongst ourselves.
8:43
I know that we were trying to wait for- Who's we? Uh, we got JK in the studio.
8:46
We got little Tony Burger about nine feet away, so we're social distancing here in the old, uh, Riverwest studio at Everyday Cycles, blah, blah, blah. Nice.
8:55
Um, also, w- we had to wait till you were done with Ja- birdie, but then, uh, we ha- we actually had a customer. Heyo. Wow. That's good stuff.
9:04
Well, you know how that works here now is that, uh, they knock on the door and we go help them out on the sidewalk and- Yeah... you know, it, it worked out well. Just- Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
9:11
Zito, who won Jeopardy!? Oh, I don't even know. Oh, the Wisconsin guy kicked ass yesterday. I didn't pay attention. What was the final- What's that? The guy from Milwaukee won yesterday. I was hoping he's carrying it on.
9:24
Oh, he, uh... No, he dropped the ball. Oh. Whoever the champion from yesterday was dropped the ball. Oh. Ugh. He's n- he, he's not a smart bartender from Milwaukee that's out of work, right? Right. No. No.
9:36
That's- He's an investment guy. No, exactly. Hey, speaking of smart bartenders- [clears throat]... that are out of work, this is one of the reasons we wanted to talk to you. There's other reasons, but, uh,
9:44
you are a smart bartender who's out of work. How's th- how's this whole bowl of shit affecting you? Uh, it's fucking me up. Um, I, uh, j- jumped through the hoops today to file for some unemployment, uh, but, uh,
10:00
it sucks. I... Earlier this week, I went and did... There's... Someone posted this great site of Milwaukee bartenders, uh, uh, you know, out of work bartenders need help. Oh, odd jobs?
10:13
And people are stepping up and going, "I need my wood shop," "I need my house cleaned." You know, stuff like that.
10:18
People are, are, you know, offering them jobs and g- little ways to make cash to make, try and make ends meet. So that's a really positive thing about Milwaukee. Yeah. Uh, Randy- Um- Randy Beck from, uh, Sabbatic. Yeah.
10:32
I don't know everybody's name. Well, I do. But, uh, yeah. [laughs] Yeah. I do. Good thing. Ah. Well- And there's some fundraisers- Just saying... going on. Like, uh, Tonic has a GoFundMe. Mm-hmm.
10:41
Paul from, the owner of Tonic, started a GoFundMe to get some tips for everyone. I know that, uh, Roman's Pub had a Bloody Mary sale the other day on Sunday, and, uh, all the proceeds went to the bartenders there.
10:56
So there's a number of things out there. There's another site out there, I think it's Tip MKE- Yep. Yep... where they, you can go and find your favorite bartender on a spreadsheet, and then there's a,
11:06
a, a, what is it called? Venmo or whatever, PayPal addresses. You can send them a tip if you want to, to help them out through- That's cool... these times. Kind of bullshit. The Trump flu's got us all down. Yeah. Yep.
11:19
For real. COVID 45. [laughs] [laughs] So, uh, I, you know, I mean, obviously the service industry got hit hard right off the bat. Um- Yeah... you, uh, uh, got, like, the double whammy, though.
11:36
You, I mean, just a couple weeks ago we were super stoked- Yeah... about your new business and, uh, Milwaukee By Bike, and- Yeah. We just... I kinda got the, I got hit, hit blindsided. We both did.
11:45
Myself and my partner Derrick were just like... He's, he has his fingers in some other tourist-based stuff, and, uh, Milwaukee By Bike is, you know, on hold.
11:55
Uh, we just bought 30 bikes and we're gonna be giving tours, and it count- You know, it, it's based on tourism essentially, although down the line we plan on teaching some safe city riding to Milwaukee residents on how to route yourself to work and using alternative routes.
12:11
You, you guys know me. I'm not- Absolutely. Nobody knows this city- A huge, uh, you guys-... better than Zito, man Uh, I'm not a huge advocate of protected bike lanes and helmets.
12:21
I'm, I'm a big advocate of riding where there's not cars. Dig that, man. Using the alleyways. Use alternative routing. Yep. You know, using, going along the train tracks if you got a fat bike.
12:32
I know one cat who lives in Bayview who shall remain nameless, but- Oh... [grunts] "I want a fat bike, I want a fat bike," and then he got a fat bike and rides from Bayview to downtown on Water Street and, and KK.
12:43
It's like- Right... shoot, there's so many alternative routes, you don't need to be on- [laughs] You don't need to be there, and you have a fucking fat bike. [laughs] Yeah. Ride it somewhere other than the street.
12:52
I'm definitely a convert to the Zito way of riding, I guarantee. Indeed, indeed. Guarantee. Guarantee.
12:58
Hell, you hardly even have to wear a freaking helmet 'cause nobody, there's nobody around to run you over except your own damn self. Yeah, exactly. Well, that's why- Right.
13:04
That's why- That's why I wear, that's why I wear a helmet- [laughs]... 'cause I'm, like, my own worst enemy on that. [laughs] Yeah. And then, and then- Yeah.
13:10
There's some, there's some tricks, there's a few tricks in there, you know, but it's, it's- You gotta know yourself... oh, my heater's just kicked in.
13:17
My, my fa- But yeah, I mean, I- Well, my, my favorite Zito trick was, uh, when you're, when you're at kind of an intersection, using the windows an- as a mirror and just seeing what's coming down- Yeah.
13:27
Well, when you're-... the street from the other way... when you're at a blind intersection, you can look down the street- That's beautiful... and, and, you know, you can, you can do it with parked cars with headlights.
13:33
You can, you know, just daytime in the city, that's a great maneuver. Absolutely. There's [sighs]... And just being, you know, cars wanna make a right and there's a right turn lane, but you wanna stay to the right.
13:45
You gotta be aware of who's around you, and sometimes, you know, you gotta stop and go through the intersection. And it's an equation, right?
13:52
There's cars coming from the left, cars coming from the right, cars coming behind you, cars coming from ahead of you. And you're in there, you're part of this equation.
13:59
Now, if you got a red light and there's no one coming from the left and right but there's people coming at you and people coming behind you who wanna go forward and right, you just go ahead.
14:07
If you, if you're clear to move safely without being in front of a car coming at you, get out of it and, and remove yourself from the equation- Absolutely... it makes the equation simpler for everyone.
14:17
That is a good call. You know? 128%. So there's, there's little things to riding in the city. You know, people s- they stop their bike and they try to stay on the saddle.
14:29
And, and you, it, i- ideally, you wanna step off your saddle. You don't wanna p- you know, dangle up there and, and you're un- you know, uneven and uneasy and then you fall over. And sit, you know, set in your pedal.
14:39
There's just so much to riding your bike in the city and, and [sighs] be aware- Don't be afraid to-... of what's around you and what you're doing... don't be afraid to put the foot down. No, not at all. No. Yeah.
14:49
Step off the bike. Step off, yo. Step off the saddle. Step the fuck off. Yo, step off. [laughs] Step the [laughs] fuck off of that thing. So yeah, we're, we're... This, that's just a p- that's gonna be a small part.
15:01
You know, hopefully we'll be talking to different big firms, you know, Baird and NML, and doing these companies that have people that ride from all around here and teaching them how to route themselves.
15:12
And, you know, some people are intimidated by traffic. Yeah. I did that with BikeWise in Sydney, where you teach them how to ride effectively in the city, how to, to be aware, to take your lane, to use the bike lane.
15:25
When you're in the bike lane, you're watching the mirrors and the brake lights and the wheels for people opening doors, you know? There's a lot of signs to it. Absolutely.
15:33
To be fair- And it's just a matter of making people comfortable... there are a lot less cars- But I think putting out-... out there right now, which is awesome. Yes. Mm-hmm.
15:40
And actually, yeah- What I do- And, like, traffic patterns now should be on, like, the oak leaf and the hank because- That'd be great. No, it's good now... good Lord, is insane out.
15:47
I'd rather ride on the streets right now. There's so many people on the oak leaf and the hank right now. It's unbelievable. Yeah. Unbelievable. I mean, I don't even- Yeah. It's cool, but-...
15:54
I don't even wanna ride on the bike trails... well- It's cool, but don't- There's a family-... don't tr- don't use this as an opportunity to- There's a family-... teach your child...
16:01
there's a conch and the, there's conch and the kids on the fucking carbon road bikes. Lance. Lance. Are, are those crazy guys on those electric bikes? [laughs] Yes. Yeah. Those guys, those guys are bad. Yeah.
16:10
Well, yeah, but there's still a dude- Those guys are dick asses... or even, you know, there's three little old L- Russian old ladies with a walker walking along. Yep. A family with a stroller and a dog. Yep.
16:20
Someone biking the other way and some yahoo on a mountain bike that can easily just go off the path onto the grass or through the rocks. Mm-hmm. And, and they wanna be a dick about it.
16:30
Oh, but you might get your tires dirty. Anyway. Or they could just wait. How would that be? Yes. Yes. You were in my hood. You guys got me about- You, you were in my hood yesterday... you guys got me about four beers in.
16:38
[laughs] You were in my hood yesterday. I think- You were talking about the angry Russians, right? No, I think those are Polish ladies, not Russian. No, no, no, no, no. [laughs] No. Are they over in Sherwood?
16:46
They're Russian. Yeah, yeah. No, but come on. Yeah. Over by Hubbard? Boom. Yep. When you're on a bike- [laughs]... when you're on a bike, you're s- and there's pedestrians, you know, you respect- Yeah.
16:55
There's responsibility on all parts... pedestrians, ladies with strollers, old people. Absolutely. You know, there's, there's a, there's kind of a chain of command of who you respect- Yeah. Yeah...
17:03
when you're biking and- Absolutely. Yep. Well, Zito, one of- Like the executive texting and crossing the crosswalk, fuck him. [laughs] Yeah. Well, that's what, that's why the, that's why the bullhorn goes up his ass.
17:16
Yeah. So- That's like, quit being a millennial...
17:18
well, one of the reasons I wanted to talk to you, we've been talking about this for a couple weeks through all this bull of shit, is that, um, I know this is affecting you in more than one way and we'd just kinda like to keep up with you and see how, you know, see how things are...
17:31
Y- you're like a case study in the worst of this bullshit that could possibly happen, so I'm sorry that- Yeah. How's it gonna progress?...
17:36
everything isn't working out well, but it would be great to kinda figure out how- So if I hang myself, should I just do it, should I just come and hang myself in front of your shop, or do you guys wanna check in on my apartment while I go?
17:46
[laughs] Like, on- How 'bout, how 'bout you just don't- Only, only if you're a pinata with a bunch of candy in there... yeah, how 'bout you just don't hang yourself? [laughs] Yeah. Yeah, man.
17:52
You know, you know- What's that?... y- you know you got friends out there, man.
17:54
Everybody would s- uh, what, however would you- No, no, I- That said, you know, everybody owning a bike shop or any other business in the city right now that's not a liquor store, I think they're still doing okay.
18:04
[laughs] Right. 'Cause- 'Cause, 'cause-... essential businesses... yeah, it's an essential business. I'm depressed. I need some... Well, today, speaking of to- Oh, oh, oh, he's-... speaking of today- We are here.
18:12
Ding, ding, ding. Segway. Does it ding, ding, ding, ding- Top of the hill... ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding- Top of the hill. It's all downhill from here. I'm gonna go get a pork chop.
18:21
Uh, top of the hill Looks like we're drinking, uh, Voodoo Ranger Starship IPA today. Yes, we are. That's actually a pretty tasty beer right there. It is. It's a 7.7, 7.7% by volume. Mm, mm, mm.
18:35
And it's by the wonderful people at New Belgium Brewing. Who makes it? New Belgium. New Belgium. Ooh. E- even though they've sold out now and- I like the New Belgium people.
18:42
Yeah, they- Well, they made everybody that owns the company- They-... kind of at least somewhat happy- Well-... that they worked there... yeah, I think there was something like- Some people did really well...
18:50
yeah, I think they had over 25 people who got a million dollars. Yeah, I tried to get a job with them for years. Yeah, and they had a thousand people that made- Oh-... a good chunk of change...
18:56
Zito, when I lived out in Colorado, I tried- The best thing about them is they're, they're one of the biggest cycling advocates in the country. Yep.
19:02
When I, when I lived out in, right outside of there, I was eight miles from their brewery, and I tried to get a job there, and one guy that I asked, he's like, "Do you have anything on the owner?"
19:11
I'm like, "What do you mean?" He's like, "Well, can you, you know, bribe him?" I'm like, "No." He's like, "Then you ain't getting a job here." [laughs] I'm like, "Really?" [laughs] Yeah, exactly.
19:19
He's like, "Yeah, no, you, you are not getting a job at this place. No one leaves. Everyone that works there will not leave. It's incredible." You know- Yeah, exactly...
19:27
and they had, they were the first company I've ever heard that had doggy daycare. You could take your dog with you to work [laughs] and they would have a special area and employees that would take care of your dog.
19:40
Yeah, they had that when I was at QBP. That's pretty awesome. But they just let the dogs, they just let the dogs go- Who let the dogs out?... in the offices. Who? Who?
19:47
And there actually was one supervisor who did nothing but walk around and pet dogs all day. Oh. Oh, that sounds like Tony's job. That's like a- That would be- That's a perfect job for Tony... yeah.
19:54
If he speaks to- Oh, yeah, yeah. Well, no, she was supposed to be doing her other job. [laughs] Oh, well. She was supposed to be supervising, but she was busy petting dogs all day. Supervising dogs.
20:02
Well, she was supervising dogs, yeah. There you go. That, that works. Dogs are people too, you know. Allergic, I'm allergic to little bastards- Yeah... I'll say. Oh, they're so cute.
20:10
All right, man- Well, yeah, we're, we're, we're, we're hoping that, uh, something breaks here, we can start getting some tour... We are, you know, we are planning on launching this Milwaukee by Bike tours, um,
20:22
uh, in April, mid, mid-April, but it, it's looking like it might be b- getting put off till May or June now. And, uh, as soon as... You know, we need tourism to pick back up in Milwaukee.
20:32
Everybody knows what a great city it is to visit. Yep. The bars, the restaurants, the people, the arts, the architecture. It's just, Milwaukee's such a cool, kick-ass city, and it's really...
20:43
Working last year on the paddle taverns on the river, the people that come from out of town are just blown away by Milwaukee. And we had bachelor parties that are coming from Ohio and, and southern states.
20:55
Uh, they'd fly into Milwaukee to have their bachelor party, A, because it's cheap, and B, because it's just so much fu- fun. Yeah. For real. Yep.
21:03
Trevor, Trevor from, Trevor Clayton from Surly dubbed, years ago, dubbed Milwaukee Milstumbly. [laughs] 'Cause they don't ever do any walking. Leave it to Trevor to come up with something good.
21:14
It's a well-named Milstumbly. [laughs] All right, dude. Well, it's good talking to you. I hope things work out a little better. Let us know how we can help you out. If you ne- I got some tires here for you.
21:23
I'll give them to you if you need them. You know- Oh, no... don't worry about it. I, I'm all right. I need a new drivetrain on my bike.
21:30
[laughs] Uh, but anyway, uh, actually, I got a buddy who's looking for some 26-inch slicks. Let me know and we'll see what we can do. We're trying to help folks out where we can.
21:39
Yeah, but I was just gonna send him to Vulture. But anyway, uh, who's riding tomorrow? I am- I'm, I, yeah, I'm trying to- You can edit this out...
21:49
which, which is actually gonna be yesterday, but- Yeah, technically it's yesterday... yeah. Tomorrow- This is- Today is Friday. Tomorrow- Tomorrow is yesterday. [laughs] It was a great ride yesterday.
21:56
It was a great ride yesterday. It was a great ride, wasn't it? Yeah, I think, uh, it was pretty fantastic. It was. It was awesome. Oh, yeah. And then boom, and this. I brought coffee. Yep. Nice.
22:05
I think I might have a- I brought the Irish for everybody... I might have a Fantasy Factory left by then. Right? What kind of Irish? Tully. What kind of Irish did you bring? Tylit. Tully. Tullet. Tilly.
22:17
Oh, hot dog, I like that. I like that a lot. It was really tasty. [laughs] I like a lot of Irish coffee. And there's a lot of room there for social distancing. Yeah.
22:28
I thought, I really thought somebody was gonna bust my balls on that when I made that freaking event. Well- On what? Well, just like, oh, you know, everyone stay inside, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You know, whatever.
22:38
Well, I'm going down there by myself, so- You gotta, you gotta ride your bikes... yeah. But I mean, just to be w- you know. Nah, it- You're organizing something that involves more than 10 people. So- Not 10. Yeah.
22:49
Uh, seven people. But it, it's more like everybody's gotta get out and exercise. No shit, yeah. Yeah. Everybody's got to- Yep.
22:55
I mean, I have other ways- I mean, you just do it basically when you- I'm looking at the w- worst case scenario normally. Scenario. Yeah. So that's- It's not like we're all making out or sharing doobies or anything.
23:07
Everyone's just keeping their space, having their coffee- Well, they're not making out anyway... we're smoking a little weed, smoking cigars. Yeah, we can't, we can't do that these days, man. [laughs] I know.
23:15
Everybody's gotta, everybody's gotta bring their own shit. This could've been a great damn day. [laughs] Wait, I have to bring my own doobie? This is... Wait a second. Yeah, that sounds mean.
23:22
What kind of, kind of alternate reality is this? Oh my God, you can't even- There's no bathroom either... share a joint these days. All right, my man. We'll see- But yeah... we'll see you yesterday.
23:31
All right, rubber side down. All right, dude. Rubber side down. Good to talk to you. Peace. Later, brother. Well, thanks for the call. Well, there you go. Well, hell, that made a good show right there. Sure did.
23:43
Not to mention these great Voodoo Rangers- Even with the-... Starship IPAs... what perce- Oh- 6 to 7 feet between us... 7, 7. 7.7, not bad. Yeah. Well, and we did stop at the speakeasy before.
23:54
[laughs] Well, that's your damn fault. Well, yeah. Thanking you fucking invite. Thanks for nothing. [laughs] Should've brought the Maker's Mark- Yeah... probably, huh? Probably should have. Might have. I don't know.
24:03
We didn't get through any of the st- Hey, guess what? Here's the big deal to me and why it's so bullshitty. Summerfest is rescheduled- Meaning Septemberfest... yeah, but not even cool. Totally.
24:13
It's fucked up because they're gonna do it over three weekends, not in a straight 10-day run like- What? Yeah, it's over three weekends. Oh, that's a terrible idea. Three three-day weekends.
24:22
It's the stupidest thing in the world. Can you imagine anybody who works at Summerfest, who runs a stage, who can afford to take a month off to run a 10-day show? Yeah, I- You can't. It's not gonna happen.
24:34
You're not gonna get the quality people that run that- I-... show and make it work... I think we can officially call it my favorite word. Go fuck yourself. Bummerfest. Oh yeah, Bummerfest.
24:43
[laughs] It has finally reached- It, it-... Bummerfest. Well, just call it something else. Yeah. Just call it something else. Yeah. I mean, really because it, that, m- Oh. You know what I mean?
24:56
whi- while I do have a lot of, uh, notes here that you can probably read in the show notes, so we're not gonna talk about, there is one very important thing. One Glove Milwaukee. [laughs] You are a member of that? I am.
25:08
It's- I've been a member of that for years... isn't that Jared's thing? Yes, it's Jared's thing. I know. It just- One Glove Milwaukee...
25:12
when you see a glove on the ground, you take a photo of it and- And say where it is... put it up on the Facepi- Place page, One Glove Milwaukee. It's kinda fun. I saw a shoe. I did, should I put a shoe up?
25:22
It's just one shoe. You, you could. It was actually right in the alley right next to the shop. One shoe. One Shoe Milwaukee, but it's one glove- It's a glove for your foot... so I didn't.
25:28
Then I saw two gloves interconnected, and I thought, well, it's two gloves- Love gloves... not one glove, so. It's love gloves. If I ever find...
25:36
I, I honestly am holding onto one glove b- thinking I'm gonna find the other one- Don't do that... for- But what if it's- I think like five years now... this is what you do. You throw that one away. No.
25:46
Tell me- But it's a beautiful-... so I can take it out- It's a beautiful glove. It, it's like one of my favorite damn gloves.
25:53
Maybe you should just- And I just wanna keep it so I can remember it, that they don't make it anymore, God damn it. Just change your last name to Jackson and wear it around. Jackson? Jackson. Ah. I like that.
26:03
I like that. It's like Michael Jackson. All right. Even the freaking Olympics- Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun... are postponed till next year. Yeah, yeah.
26:09
You know what could be postponed, but I have not heard yet, and it will make me cry. I'm serious. Slackerfest? Riverwest 24. [laughs] Ooh. I was thinking about that. That's the last- Dude...
26:20
that's the last weekend of July. That's the one that's out. Dude, I will cry. Yeah, but registration's in May. Oh, true then. And- Well, they could- Well, they can- We can all work it out...
26:28
alternately- We can work it out... alternately doing that part. The race itself- Right. Well, I saw Jeremy last weekend. I didn't even mention that to you. Me neither- Yeah... 'cause he had a lot more on his mind.
26:35
Oh, shit... but he had the best... Okay. F- for as mount- as much planning and everything he put into Flat Out Friday, to have that canceled- And Mama Tried... and Mama Tried, he was in the best spirit when I- He was...
26:48
I, I, I saw him at, um, Boo- Boone... uh, Boone and Crockett, I'm like, "Hey, dude, I'm really sorry." He's like, "Hey, there are way more serious problems right now in this world." I'm like- Good manager...
26:58
"What a great outlook for you." I mean, good for you, buddy. He is a, he is a prime example of an awesome human being.
27:05
Well, all this stuff should return to us, and, uh, they're all great stuff, and please check 'em- Yeah... out when they return. Yes. Even if you have to go to Bummerfest- Bank-... it's still a good thing...
27:14
bank this money now and spend it when they can. Right on. We're gonna probably get the hell outta here now. Make like a tree. Is there somebody knocking on the door? [upbeat music] Made me look. [laughs]
