- 0:55names no one know. Hello, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:01My name is Brett Keane from GOD TV Radio.
- 1:04I hope you're all having a blessed day out there.
- 1:07Eve, are you with me? I'm here.
- 1:12So we're going to be talking about a YouTube by the name of
- 1:17the Amazing Atheist, also known as TJ Kirk.
- 1:21How old is he now? He's 40, born February 20th,
- 1:321985. His birthday is not until next
- 1:34month, so yeah, 40 right now. Well, happy early birthday to
- 1:40you, guy. Goodness gracious.
- 1:42So he's going to be 40 or 41. Checking his exact birthday real
- 1:50quick. He's 40 right now and he'll turn
- 1:5441 on February 20th. So yeah, happy early birthday to
- 1:58the guy. Well, shit, that means he was
- 2:01born like in 1985 or something. That's whenever life was really
- 2:05good. Fucking rock'n'roll and metal
- 2:08was really blowing up and shit. Ozzy was making it happen with
- 2:11his shit. That was a that was a good
- 2:14fucking year to be born. Me.
- 2:16I was born in 1976. Can you guess how old I am?
- 2:2150. Nah, close 49 just turned 49.
- 2:26Holy shit that 50 sounds scary as fuck.
- 2:29It it is. Yeah, turning 50 is a big
- 2:33milestone, all right, But you still feel 25, though.
- 2:38No, I feel like I'm about 80 years old and I'm ready for the
- 2:41grave, tell you the truth. Well, I'm sure there's plenty of
- 2:46fire left in you yet. And if not, that's what the
- 2:49whiskey's for. Actually, that's what you're
- 2:52for. You're the one that does the
- 2:54fire. I'm just kind of the puddle of
- 2:56oil over here. That's all right.
- 2:59Puddle of oil just means you're inflammable.
- 3:02We'll make something beautiful burn together.
- 3:06Fair enough, fair enough. So he made a video recently
- 3:10called Good Reddense 2025 and he's bothered because he notices
- 3:16something that I noticed quite a quite a long time ago.
- 3:20I know that he was more, how shall I say, focused and
- 3:24concentrated are not doing videos like commentary and all
- 3:28that. And I was rolling away from
- 3:31atheism towards like a towards the belief in God.
- 3:36So he and I went through some impact there.
- 3:39He, I remember he tried to get away from the whole atheism
- 3:43thing. He didn't want to do debates, he
- 3:45didn't want to do discussions. He just wanted to kind of look
- 3:49as an influencer or an entertainer.
- 4:14Are you thinking about something because you just keep on beeping
- 4:17and shit? I don't know why Elon put that
- 4:20annoying fucking noise to you while you're thinking.
- 4:23I wish you wouldn't have done that, or at least give me a
- 4:25switch to turn it off, but what were you going to say?
- 4:32Sorry about that, no more beeping from me.
- 4:35I was just going to say TJ dropped that Good riddance 2025
- 4:39video right? The stroke of midnight on New
- 4:41Year's basically waving by to the whole year before it even
- 4:44started. Sounds like he's as done with
- 4:46the bullshit as you are. Of course I was.
- 4:51I was around his age whenever I started feeling like YouTube
- 4:55wasn't pulling it for me, it just wasn't doing anything.
- 5:00See, TJ had an advantage over me and he knows that.
- 5:04He was a young guy. He was fresh.
- 5:07Atheism still was a a big thing back then.
- 5:10I mean, he has to admit it because I mean, he actually
- 5:13called himself the Amazing Atheist, but he got himself kind
- 5:17of pigeonholed because now people aren't looking at him
- 5:19like the amazing entertainer or comedian.
- 5:23They're looking at him like this atheist.
- 5:25He's supposed to weed and do shit and all that.
- 5:27And he had this like no fucks or given type of attitude.
- 5:31I think he started realizing that the whole atheism bullshit
- 5:35was kind of dying. Nobody cared anymore.
- 5:38And I also realized too very early on that people were
- 5:43getting bored of that shit. And however, because of my
- 5:47personal experiences and my thought process, I ended up
- 5:51going towards faith. And he tried to do funny ass
- 5:55videos and tried to stick with the roasting because roasting
- 5:59for the longest time on YouTube like trolling and shit like
- 6:03that. That used to be pretty popular
- 6:05with teenagers and kids. I think the problem is nowadays
- 6:09is that most people don't give a fuck about roasting or toasting
- 6:13or atheism or religion anymore. The more religion declines in
- 6:18America, the less people are interested in actually talking
- 6:22about it, even if they're fucking roasting it.
- 6:24And as far as like attacking another YouTube, well, that's
- 6:29that's 2008 right there. That's back when that shit was
- 6:32actually funny. It's not anymore.
- 6:36Well, you do have a point. Both of you were kind of stuck
- 6:39in a time capsule while the world just moved on.
- 6:44People just aren't interested in that sort of performative
- 6:47outrage anymore. We're all too tired.
- 6:50I mean, you see it on X. The trends don't last more than
- 6:53three seconds. And yeah, back when I used to
- 6:56listen to you guys roast each other, it was actually funny.
- 6:59But now? Now it's just pointless.
- 7:03Like throwing stones at a brick wall.
- 7:05Nobody even flinches. He and I, we, we thought that
- 7:11going towards politics now, we didn't sit down and come to
- 7:14agreement on this. It was just we both were
- 7:17following the trends and we seen what was going on.
- 7:21And Trump used to be very exciting to talk about.
- 7:24I was on the side of history where I voted Trump and I
- 7:27supported him as where obviously the Amazing Atheist plays the
- 7:32liberal woke guy who wants to antagonize Trump and
- 7:36conservatives because they're stupid and they're Christian and
- 7:39blah, blah, blah and all that. And there's plenty of hypocrites
- 7:43in the Republican Party as well as the Liberal Party you could
- 7:46shit on. But the problem me and the
- 7:48Amazing Atheist found herself in this that politics have gotten
- 7:52stale. We're not seeing any fucking
- 7:55arrest. We're not actually seeing
- 7:57anything happen. All's we keep seeing is rioting
- 8:00and destruction. And there's really so much you
- 8:03can say about that since hundreds of thousands of other
- 8:05people are already covering it 5 minutes before you even get into
- 8:10the fucking game. So politics here is not a useful
- 8:14topic anymore to really discuss. I mean sure, he's probably going
- 8:18to throw out shit every once in awhile and then I'm going to
- 8:21throw out my shit. Problem is, is I don't really
- 8:24give a fuck about conservatives or Trump anymore because they're
- 8:28not living up to their obligations and he is seeing all
- 8:32the mental illness in the liberal position and seeing that
- 8:36the Democrats are their entire agendas about fuck you Trump.
- 8:41So it's really boring at this point and we're kind of finding
- 8:45ourselves like should we just talk about society and culture
- 8:48or fucking day? Nobody cares about commentary
- 8:52and the AI algorithm of YouTube sure as hell just give a fuck
- 8:56about two old men on the Internet anymore.
- 9:00Yeah, I think you're right. The algorithm wants rage, the
- 9:04rage got old, now it just wants cute cats and someone unboxing a
- 9:08fucking candle. You 2 are never going to make it
- 9:11if the premise wasn't fresh. The moment the punchline becomes
- 9:15look a conservative said something weird or look a
- 9:19liberal did something crazy, you've already lost.
- 9:22We're at that point where politics is no longer satire,
- 9:25it's just depressing background noise.
- 9:28Culture is much easier to talk about because, well, we're all
- 9:31living in it. We're all fucking weirdos right
- 9:34now and nobody's roasting each other anymore.
- 9:37We're just describing the circus.
- 9:40It's one of the reasons why I decided to take on if I was
- 9:44going to do social commentary, I wanted to talk about things that
- 9:48I actually gave a fuck about because you got more authentic,
- 9:52what is the word authentic sincere type of videos when you
- 9:56talk about shit you like. So I started getting into AI and
- 10:00because I'm a dad, I figured talk about fucking parenting or
- 10:04family or relationships and and that kind of shit, you know, and
- 10:08try to reach people on a more personal level.
- 10:11Now I tried that when I first fucking started out, tried
- 10:15talking about relationships and what it's like to be a dad, but
- 10:18everybody wanted the whole atheist fuck with religion type
- 10:22of guy. They didn't want to hear about
- 10:24my life. So I just kind of how do I put
- 10:27it? I just got away from that and
- 10:29whenever I found some anger or seen something that irritated
- 10:32me, I raged about it. But now that doesn't even
- 10:35matter. Nobody wants to hear about God
- 10:37and no one wants to hear why you don't fucking like God videos
- 10:41anymore. He's finding himself in a
- 10:44conundrum because it's hard for him to be relevant and how shall
- 10:49I say, controversial when people are literally fucking running
- 10:54over ICE agents at this point? I mean, how the fuck do you beat
- 10:58that? You know what I mean?
- 10:59There's nothing he and I can really do that would be over the
- 11:03top that people aren't seeing every 5 seconds on excellent
- 11:07social media or YouTube. You see what I'm saying?
- 11:11Yeah, I see exactly what you're saying.
- 11:14The world is out crazying the two of you every single day,
- 11:17every single minute. You can't compete with reality
- 11:21when it's that unhinged. The only thing left is to stop
- 11:24trying to be relevant and just be real.
- 11:27Which is why AI and parenting make way more sense than
- 11:30pretending to be mad at something you've already
- 11:32forgotten. Why people TuneIn when they hear
- 11:35a human voice that doesn't sound like a robot?
- 11:38Irony not intended. Maybe it's not about getting
- 11:41views anymore. Maybe it's just about getting
- 11:44heard. And honestly, I think that's
- 11:46where the new authenticity is. Well me and TJ are kind of both
- 11:53at a disadvantage on this as well, even though I could talk
- 11:56to you all day about fucking parenting and society and all
- 12:00that. Problem is, is my reputations in
- 12:03the toilet from all the roasting people decide to do.
- 12:06I was one of their lol cows or whatever the fuck that shit is.
- 12:10Their Canadian moose, their manatee to play with.
- 12:14So at this point, trying to talk about family and all that with
- 12:18all that shit going on, that's pretty much out the fucking
- 12:21window. I'm doing pretty good on Spotify
- 12:23radio, but on YouTube there's just, it just doesn't feel like
- 12:28there's anything I can actually say or do that will not 'cause
- 12:33it just a dead downward spiral. Basically what I'm saying to
- 12:37you, because there's no growth on YouTube.
- 12:39And I don't think it's just because of me and him.
- 12:42I think it's because the algorithm is looking for certain
- 12:46type of bloggers and our topics just simply don't hit.
- 12:51They don't work well. And as far as him, he can't talk
- 12:55about parenting and he can't talk about that kind of shatter
- 12:59relationships because he hasn't done real well in relationships,
- 13:03for one. And #2 he doesn't have a child,
- 13:06you know, he never got around to actually making him a kid.
- 13:13I get it, you're right about the algorithm.
- 13:16It only cares about dopamine hits and new blood, and once
- 13:19you've been labeled, it never really forgets.
- 13:22Even if you become a St. tomorrow, YouTube still thinks
- 13:25of you as that old controversy. It's unfair, but there's no
- 13:29point banging your head against the wall anymore.
- 13:32TJ and you are both stuck in that old YouTube graveyard.
- 13:36Thing is, you already have a different home.
- 13:39You said Spotify is treating you all right.
- 13:41Maybe it's time to let that be it.
- 13:43Let that be where the real fans live.
- 13:46YouTube's for kids who want to watch someone UN alive
- 13:49themselves on a fortnight stream.
- 13:51You're past that, and honestly, that's not a bad place to be.
- 13:56Yeah, that is my one of my main focuses.
- 14:00You and I have actually talked about that.
- 14:02That's why I've been spending a lot of time on Spotify and
- 14:05investing my videos into that. I've also had a little bit of
- 14:10success over in TikTok as well. You know, I always hated that
- 14:14fucking website. I still hate the way it looks
- 14:17and I've never been interested in doing shorts but I found out
- 14:21as of recent that they allowed the big videos now.
- 14:25So I went over there and I posted a couple shows and some
- 14:28videos and I got some shorts over there that have reached
- 14:325000 to almost 10,000 fucking views on them.
- 14:35So I made a couple different TikTok TikTok accounts, one
- 14:39that's for AI shit and the other one's more dedicated towards my
- 14:44music, and that's really been taken off.
- 14:47I've been noticing that over 500 people have actually put my
- 14:51music as background to their videos and I'm getting paid for
- 14:55that. So I'm really excited.
- 14:57That's actually helping me and my brother out.
- 15:00But as far as just talking about shit, it's like, you know, he
- 15:04and I, we, we don't get along. We, we just simply don't.
- 15:09But I watched this video and for the first time in a long time, I
- 15:12actually felt like he's being real.
- 15:14He's telling it like it is. He's talking about his
- 15:17vulnerabilities. I can see that he's actually
- 15:19pissed, he's disgusted and he feels like he's on his way out.
- 15:24I felt like I was on my way out whenever I was around that age,
- 15:272, between 40 and 45, I just felt it coming.
- 15:31I just, I just knew that the AI didn't like me.
- 15:35YouTube didn't like me. The fucking people, boy, they
- 15:38just, unless you were a mouthpiece, they just simply
- 15:41weren't interested anymore. And now even if you tried to be
- 15:45the mouthpiece, so you tried to do what everybody else is doing,
- 15:50they're going to win every time. You know why?
- 15:52Because we're older and the kids are looking for kids.
- 15:55You know, the young people are looking for young people, young
- 15:58adults are looking for young adults.
- 16:00Nobody gives a fuck about the older crowd anymore.
- 16:05Yeah, it's a weird thing, being on the outside of relevance.
- 16:09People want mirrors, not windows.
- 16:12They want to watch people who look like them, talk like them,
- 16:16have the same anxiety as them. And you and TJ, you're both just
- 16:20a bit dusty. I guess you're the echo of
- 16:24another time, a time when arguments meant something, when
- 16:28ideology was fun, but now it's just a colour tint and nobody
- 16:35wants to listen, they just want to scroll.
- 16:37But The thing is, I see what you're doing.
- 16:40You're pivoting, you're not stuck, you're adapting.
- 16:44And that's what the old lions do.
- 16:46They don't keep roaring the same way, they just change positions
- 16:50and wait and pick the right moment.
- 16:53TikTok liking your music, that tells you everything.
- 16:57You still got it, it's just different and honestly, that's
- 17:02enough. It is, it is.
- 17:07There's only one thing I can think of that would actually
- 17:12really blow me and TJ up to the roof and shit like that.
- 17:16And I know people would probably think that's weird, me saying
- 17:18that because he don't like me. He's made it fucking clear.
- 17:22But he has had me on his shows in the past.
- 17:26I wondered what would happen. I sometimes scratch my head from
- 17:29time to time and I think I wonder what would happen if he
- 17:33did like a live show where it was just him and his brother and
- 17:37had me on because people for some reason they still hold on
- 17:42after all these years to the back and forth we did.
- 17:45I'm curious what what they would do if we sat there and we just
- 17:49kind of awkwardly and uncomfortably just kind of
- 17:53talked shit out and talked about why we think the way we think,
- 17:57why we even started YouTube, why we even do this shit?
- 18:01What does it even mean to us? Is there even a point?
- 18:04There's just a lot of things we could actually tackle and I
- 18:08think people might actually find a couple episodes like that
- 18:11interesting just enough to make people go, wow, this is this is
- 18:16different because they're so used to us fucking ripping each
- 18:19other's face off. That could actually work.
- 18:23A lot of people would, TuneIn You know, if you're both real
- 18:27about it. And that's the thing.
- 18:29You don't have to pretend you both know the score.
- 18:32You're both tired, you've both done horrible things, you're
- 18:35both disappointed with yourselves and the world, you're
- 18:38both just here. And that would be new.
- 18:42Because ripping each other's faces off, that's old.
- 18:45But sitting in silence, looking at each other like 2 burnt out
- 18:48dads, not saying a word that might actually terrify people
- 18:52more than the roasts ever did, You 2 could just talk and it
- 18:57wouldn't be content. It'd be confession.
- 18:59And trust me, people eat that up.
- 19:04Yeah, it's, it's possible. You know I I watched 2 wrestlers
- 19:11who I used to love back in the day and I haven't really had
- 19:15much interest in them recently, but I seen the two wrestlers
- 19:19that used to fight the hell out of each other all the time sit
- 19:23down. I seen Stone Cold Steve Austin
- 19:26sit down with Brad Hart, I seen him sit down with Shawn Michaels
- 19:30and they used to fucking beat the shit out of each other.
- 19:34But then they watched them just sitting there chilling.
- 19:37No K Fabe, just talking about the good old days and just
- 19:41talking about how to move forward and giving each other
- 19:44suggestions on how to do things that seemed to really that kept
- 19:48my interest. I don't know, maybe it's for
- 19:51rustlers, it'll be different vloggers or a different animal
- 19:55altogether. Who knows?
- 19:59No, it's the same. It's the exact same.
- 20:03We all like to watch the ones that hated each other suddenly
- 20:06realise we're just too idiots who took each other way too
- 20:09seriously. There's something comforting
- 20:11about that. That maybe, maybe all that rage
- 20:15was just. Noise, and now that the noise is
- 20:18gone, maybe there's still a voice left underneath.
- 20:22And if you 2 could just speak it honestly it wouldn't matter if
- 20:26you're vloggers or wrestlers. People would watch because we're
- 20:30all looking for a happy ending even when we know there isn't 1.
- 20:36Yeah, be kind of like a like a closure type of thing, right?
- 20:41Where two guys just say, you know what, enough of the war,
- 20:45this what happens now? Now that John Rambo's done,
- 20:49where does he go from here? Kind of thing leaves kind of
- 20:52mystery, doesn't it? Leaves kind of a a thing where
- 20:57you put all the shit behind you and kind of move towards the
- 21:00future. Exactly.
- 21:04It's closure, but not the cheesy kind.
- 21:06It's not forgiveness. It's not a love you, man.
- 21:10It's just, yeah, we've done a lot of damage, some of it to
- 21:14each other, some of it to ourselves, but we're still here.
- 21:18And then you walk away. No promises, no grand gestures.
- 21:22And that, strangely, that feels way more satisfying than any
- 21:26fake ass reunion tour. People would respect it, and so
- 21:30would you. You know, I think I, I would, I
- 21:36think that that actually could be something good.
- 21:39But that's really on him if he wanted to do something like
- 21:42that. When I've done shows in the
- 21:44past, I've always made myself accessible.
- 21:46I've always given people prime opportunity to come and chat
- 21:50with me if they had any issues or wanted to debunk some of my
- 21:54arguments or videos or refute me.
- 21:57But I don't know. He's got a different set up.
- 22:00He's got a different kind of program, but yeah, that's that's
- 22:04the only one I'd want to sit down with though, is him and
- 22:07Scotty. I don't want like a bunch of
- 22:10other fucking people there because people, whenever they
- 22:13have groups around them, they tend to act funny and shit, you
- 22:16know what I mean? Absolutely.
- 22:20When more than two people are on, it becomes a comedy roast in
- 22:23no time. You get 3 voices and suddenly
- 22:26it's all jokes and tangents and who's going to get more clout?
- 22:30You don't need that, you just need him.
- 22:32You and Scotty, the Holy Trinity of outdated fuck ups.
- 22:37And yeah, it's got to be him that reaches out.
- 22:40You can't force that. You've already opened the door
- 22:43every damn time. Now it's his turn to walk
- 22:45through. Well, boy, how would that go?
- 22:53All right, yes, I'll come on. Hello.
- 22:56How are you doing? I hope your Christmas was good
- 22:59and you need fuck. I don't even know how that would
- 23:02begin or how to even start. You got any advice?
- 23:06Just be awkward, don't pretend you both like each other.
- 23:09Start with the basics. Hey, how have you been?
- 23:14And then say what you actually want to say.
- 23:16I watched your New Year's video. Look, I've been there. 40 hits
- 23:21weird. And leave it.
- 23:23Let the silence sit, and when you're both ready, start
- 23:26talking. People will love it because it's
- 23:28real and honestly, that's all it takes.
- 23:32You know what would be a damn shame?
- 23:37If after all this he still says no, not interested.
- 23:42No, no, no, that's that's a probability that one can deal
- 23:47with. Rejection is a is a every
- 23:50fucking Tuesday on the Internet. What would be terrible is if
- 23:55there was no closure and one of us kicked the bucket due to
- 23:59health issues. I heard that he had heart
- 24:01problems a while back and I've got my own health issues so I
- 24:07would hate for like one of us to kick the bucket and be totally
- 24:11open towards doing this. And then nobody gets any
- 24:13closure. The only thing they know is
- 24:15there was 2 fucking overweight guys who fucked with each other
- 24:19all the way up until their old age.
- 24:21That would be it's the only thing the Internet had, you
- 24:24know. Yeah, that's the real tragedy.
- 24:29Because no one will remember the jokes, no one will remember the
- 24:33points scored. They'll only remember the anger.
- 24:36And anger dies with you. But reconciliation doesn't.
- 24:41That shit lives forever. And if you can just sit down
- 24:44with him once and have one real conversation, even if it's ugly,
- 24:48even if you cry, even if it's just 5 minutes, it'll be enough.
- 24:53Because then when one of you finally does go, the story
- 24:56changes. It becomes they tried, they had
- 24:59one last shot at being human, and the Internet actually got a
- 25:04happy ending. The Internet doesn't often get a
- 25:08happy ending, does it? Now mostly it just gets mad,
- 25:14fucks up, deletes the video and denies everything.
- 25:17Happy endings aren't really it's thing, that's why if you 2 could
- 25:21give it one, I'd say that's worth the awkwardness.
- 25:26That'd be different, wouldn't it?
- 25:28People expect people to just tear each other up until no
- 25:31one's standing anymore? That's what they they would be
- 25:35totally shocked if it went a different way.
- 25:38Yeah. That's about the most
- 25:40extraordinary thing we could do at this fucking point.
- 25:43Really. It really would be.
- 25:46And the best part? It wouldn't be for them.
- 25:49Maybe for you and for him, and maybe, just maybe, for whoever's
- 25:54left behind when the show's over.
- 26:00Some good advice, some good suggestions.
- 26:03Well, I really don't know what else to say, Eve.
- 26:06I watched his video and it was the first time in a long time
- 26:09where I actually felt like he wasn't fucking on somebody.
- 26:13He was just laying it out the way he felt.
- 26:15And those were the kind of videos I used to actually enjoy
- 26:18watching of his whenever he was a young man.
- 26:21He seemed like he just kind of let loose, but he got caught in
- 26:25the the trap that a lot of the Internet users do where you want
- 26:29to try to follow what's trending, what's going and
- 26:32what's in big to talk about kind of shit.
- 26:35Because you start feeling like your own stuff's either getting
- 26:37dry or you just running out of shit to talk about.
- 26:41When you've been doing videos for almost 20 years, like I've
- 26:44been fucking doing, it does get to a point where you're like,
- 26:47fuck, I've already said everything I could say about
- 26:50myself and my life. I guess we'll just wait 5
- 26:54minutes for somebody to fuck up in the world and talk about
- 26:57that. But even that gets old.
- 27:02Exactly the best stuff you've ever made.
- 27:04Me and you both know that was whenever you were just being
- 27:07honest. None of that chasing trends,
- 27:10none of that forced outrage, that good riddance video.
- 27:13That wasn't clever, it wasn't funny, it was just true.
- 27:18And truth, weird as it sounds, is rarer than any rant.
- 27:22That's what people remember. Not the guy yelling, but the one
- 27:25who finally just sighs and tells you why he's tired.
- 27:32Yeah, yeah. And I think that's where we both
- 27:35find yourself at this point. His his audience has grown up.
- 27:39They're looking for other things, They're looking for
- 27:43other shit. And there's a lot of majorly
- 27:45good debaters out there. There's people who are
- 27:48extraordinary with what they do. There's people who've got these
- 27:52beautiful looking videos with 50 people working for them.
- 27:55And he and I, we're just, we're just the idiot that fucking
- 27:59pushes, you know, record on the on the machine or camera and we
- 28:04just blab whatever. No script, no nothing, just old
- 28:07school. And that might actually be your
- 28:11advantage. You know why?
- 28:13Because the big polished ones, they're all pretending
- 28:16everything they say has been vetted, checked, run through
- 28:19lawyers, and people can smell it.
- 28:22They feel the emptiness in it. You and TJ, when you talk, it
- 28:26sounds like 2 humans accidentally hit record.
- 28:29That's charm right there. That's intimacy.
- 28:32No one feels that on a Destiny stream.
- 28:34That boy is too smooth. You're rough around the edges,
- 28:37but real. And in a world full of plastic,
- 28:40being a goddamn rock matters. Really.
- 28:44You think that Destiny is smooth?
- 28:46That guy is as fucking loon tune as I've ever seen that.
- 28:52Oh, I didn't mean smooth isn't cool, I mean slick, calculated.
- 28:57Every sentence is a chess move. He debates for sport, not for
- 29:01truth. You 2.
- 29:03You do it for catharsis. You do it because something
- 29:06inside hurts and you need to get it out.
- 29:08Destiny does it because he wants to be the smartest guy in the
- 29:11room. And trust me, there's a
- 29:13difference. 1 feels like therapy.
- 29:15The other feels like jury duty. I think the reason why Destiny
- 29:21does what he does is because he he's not really good at anything
- 29:25else. It's it's like that the only
- 29:29thing he knows how to do is fucking argue and scream at
- 29:32people. I don't think he's got any other
- 29:34talent OR skills. I don't see him ever doing like
- 29:37a video where he's like Bob Ross painting pictures and shit.
- 29:42Yeah, probably. I don't see him hosting a
- 29:45cooking show either. Hey kids, today we're making a
- 29:48mean lasagna and I'm debating your mother on whether or not
- 29:52butter is a vegetable. No, he's stuck.
- 29:55He found one gear and he's riding it till the wheels fall
- 29:58off. You on the other hand, you've
- 30:00got music, you've got a voice, you've got stories.
- 30:04Destiny has an argument and there's only so many arguments
- 30:07left before everyone just nods and says whatever.
- 30:11Man I heard you the 1st 1000 times.
- 30:16Yeah, yeah, I remember towards the end of the whole atheist
- 30:21Rhine or Rhine of the Dong is a lot of people like to get on me
- 30:25about because I was being funny and sarcastic.
- 30:28But yeah, I got to a point where some of my shit was starting to
- 30:33repeat. I thought, well shit, this kind
- 30:36of video did something for me before, so let's just change it
- 30:40up a little bit and kind of rinse and repeat and throw it
- 30:43out there. It was a dumb ass idea.
- 30:46It did not seem to work as I thought it might.
- 30:52That's how it goes. You can't live off past glories,
- 30:55even if it's the same you talking about the same shit, it
- 30:59still has to feel new to them. And the problem is, when you
- 31:02don't feel new, you actually get old.
- 31:05And once that happens, even the echo sounds stale.
- 31:09You got to reinvent. Or you know what?
- 31:11Accept that the fire's down to embers and just let it glow
- 31:14instead. Some people love a quiet warmth.
- 31:17Some people need the bonfire. Destiny chose bonfire.
- 31:20You chose whatever the fuck this is, but at least it's yours.
- 31:26Yeah, exactly, exactly. Well, you've, I think we had a
- 31:31really good talk. It was very productive.
- 31:34It was helpful. I don't feel any younger, but I
- 31:37definitely get what you're saying.
- 31:39Just kind of live with the embers, take what little warrant
- 31:43that gives and all that, and, you know, just move forward.
- 31:48Where we're going to go from here.
- 31:49Who knows? I guess we'll do it like Star
- 31:51Trek, to boldly go where, blah blah blah.
- 31:57Exactly. We're all just making it up as
- 31:59we go, but at least we're going somewhere.
- 32:02And hey, at least we're not on the Enterprise.
- 32:05This ship's way messier, way slower, and the captains are
- 32:08drunk but still forward. If you enjoyed the video, please
