- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York mar salone on dore on.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Well, a lot going on. There's a cabinet meeting later today,
- 0:14Speaker 2: actually taking place any moment. It's the first cabinet meeting
- 0:18Speaker 2: in a few weeks. Remember Joe Biden didn't have cabinet meetings,
- 0:21Speaker 2: and they started to be bad press about the fact
- 0:24Speaker 2: that he hadn't had a cabinet meeting in a couple
- 0:26Speaker 2: of years. So they quickly slapped together a cabinet meeting
- 0:30Speaker 2: just to make it look good. And remember they couldn't
- 0:32Speaker 2: find half the cabinet. They weren't even in Washington. There
- 0:34Speaker 2: were no meetings. They didn't do anything. They remember that
- 0:37Speaker 2: final time they attempted to do cabinet meeting, Jill Biden
- 0:42Speaker 2: sat at the head seat and ran the meeting. Joe
- 0:46Speaker 2: just sat there looking totally out of it. Well, Jill
- 0:49Speaker 2: Biden seemed to run the meeting, pretty embarrassing. But cabinet
- 0:53Speaker 2: meeting right now, and as you know, the press is
- 0:55Speaker 2: allowed in and the President talks at great lengths, so
- 0:58Speaker 2: we'll probably probably hear something from him that'll be of
- 1:02Speaker 2: interest later this hour long lines. Some airports, most airports.
- 1:08Speaker 2: ICE has been a big help despite what all the
- 1:11Speaker 2: Democrats said that they would screw things up, and they
- 1:14Speaker 2: had crazy Hakeem Jeffries, and you had insane Chris Murphy
- 1:18Speaker 2: and ridiculous sleazy Blumenthal saying that the ICE agents would
- 1:23Speaker 2: shoot people and brutalize people in the airports. Instead, they've
- 1:26Speaker 2: been a great help, and reporters at airports have noticed
- 1:30Speaker 2: that a lot of people, a lot of people are
- 1:33Speaker 2: going up to the ICE agents to thank them, just
- 1:35Speaker 2: saying thank you and thank you for everything you do.
- 1:38Speaker 2: And Democrats just think the reason they keep this shutdown
- 1:42Speaker 2: going they think it's hurting Republicans. They've convinced themselves that
- 1:46Speaker 2: the public is blaming Republicans. So there could be a
- 1:49Speaker 2: little truth to that, because the Republicans, although they're not
- 1:52Speaker 2: at fault here, they're messaging stinks on this and they
- 1:55Speaker 2: need to do more to make it clear that it's
- 1:59Speaker 2: the Democrat keeping this shutdown going. Democrats have a history
- 2:04Speaker 2: of in a shutdown, trying to inflict as much inconvenience
- 2:08Speaker 2: on people just to make their point. The best example
- 2:13Speaker 2: was a Barack Obama, remember the shutdown during the Obama years.
- 2:17Speaker 2: He shut down everything, shutdown things that didn't need to
- 2:20Speaker 2: be shut down. He shut down all the monuments in Washington, DC,
- 2:23Speaker 2: put that big yellow police tape all around him to
- 2:26Speaker 2: keep people. There was no reason to do that. There's
- 2:28Speaker 2: no staff there. There's no staff required at these monuments.
- 2:33Speaker 2: There had been student groups that flew into Washington, veteran
- 2:38Speaker 2: groups that came in to visit the monuments, couldn't do it.
- 2:40Speaker 2: They were all taped up and you couldn't get near
- 2:42Speaker 2: them because Obama wanted to just use it to make
- 2:45Speaker 2: a point, even though there was no actual reason. They
- 2:48Speaker 2: had to be shut down during the shutdown. So, hey,
- 2:51Speaker 2: yea tiss James, our sleazy attorney general. The Tiss James.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Looks like she's going to get charged again. Criminal referrals
- 2:58Speaker 2: have been made, this time from the Federal Housing Authority
- 3:05Speaker 2: when she took these. You know, she has two or
- 3:08Speaker 2: three houses in Virginia, Maryland. She's got a couple of
- 3:12Speaker 2: houses down there, and she listed them as her primary residence.
- 3:17Speaker 2: It gets your tax breaks, it gets you all kinds
- 3:19Speaker 2: of breaks. They weren't her primary residence. She had other
- 3:21Speaker 2: people living there, relatives, a couple of them criminals, you know,
- 3:25Speaker 2: out on probation, that sort of stuff. So the new
- 3:29Speaker 2: charges have to do with insurance fraud because apparently on
- 3:33Speaker 2: the insurance form she claimed it was her primary residence. Now, obviously,
- 3:37Speaker 2: if you're the Attorney General of New York, you're required
- 3:39Speaker 2: to live in New York. They can't possibly be your
- 3:42Speaker 2: primary residence. But she listed that way on insurance forms.
- 3:45Speaker 2: So they are going to charge her. Well, the criminal
- 3:48Speaker 2: referrals have been made to the Department of Justice. We'll
- 3:51Speaker 2: see if they do charge her with insurance fraud. Maduro,
- 3:56Speaker 2: the Venezuelan leader, in court today, says he's broke. He
- 3:59Speaker 2: has no money. You know, when you're one of those
- 4:02Speaker 2: South American dictators of Venezuelan leaders, you generally have a
- 4:06Speaker 2: couple of billions stashed away somewhere. Apparently he can't get
- 4:10Speaker 2: to it, or they took it or something. He is
- 4:13Speaker 2: arguing in court that since he has no money, the
- 4:16Speaker 2: Venezuelan government should pay his legal defense. That that was
- 4:19Speaker 2: always the deal. But once they grabb you in your
- 4:22Speaker 2: pajamas in the middle of the night and take you away,
- 4:25Speaker 2: kind of all those deals are off. So we'll see
- 4:28Speaker 2: how that turns out. Facebook and Google YouTube decision. As
- 4:36Speaker 2: we mentioned before, the woman that sued got four million,
- 4:40Speaker 2: five million. Now in New Mexico there was a big
- 4:43Speaker 2: class action suit same thing, and they won three hundred
- 4:47Speaker 2: and seventy five million from Facebook. Now that's only because
- 4:52Speaker 2: in New Mexico there's a law you can only for
- 4:55Speaker 2: some legal reason, the jury could only allow five thousand
- 4:58Speaker 2: dollars per student. You know that they were victims of Facebook,
- 5:03Speaker 2: that Facebook has an algorithm that got them addicted. So
- 5:06Speaker 2: you're only allowed five thousand per students. So it was
- 5:08Speaker 2: three hundred and seventy five million. But if they don't Facebook, Google, YouTube,
- 5:13Speaker 2: if they don't get into a higher court, Supreme court,
- 5:17Speaker 2: and get this turned around, they are going to be
- 5:19Speaker 2: in massive, massive financial trouble. Hard to believe when you're
- 5:24Speaker 2: a trillion dollar company, but this could be very, very,
- 5:28Speaker 2: very bad for them. So I was in the kitchen
- 5:31Speaker 2: just now getting a cup of coffee. They got these
- 5:34Speaker 2: signs on the refrigerator. I thought there was hazardous wasting
- 5:37Speaker 2: there or something. Big sign, big black lot, a huge font,
- 5:41Speaker 2: stay away, brother. It was about don't take anything out
- 5:44Speaker 2: of the refrigerator. Are people stealing people's food from the refrigerator?
- 5:47Speaker 2: They are? Really?
- 5:49Speaker 1: Who would?
- 5:50Speaker 2: I see what some of these people bring in who
- 5:52Speaker 2: the hell would steal that food? Most of it looks
- 5:54Speaker 2: pretty weird. Now, in the history of radio, there has
- 6:01Speaker 2: been a problem with this. Not here. I don't know
- 6:03Speaker 2: anybody here that does that, but good old days. And
- 6:07Speaker 2: let me think now, who can I mention because some
- 6:09Speaker 2: of them are still alive. Oh, there's one who's dead.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Bob Grant. Bob Grant would take everything that wasn't nailed down,
- 6:17Speaker 2: even it was nailed down. He had a nail remover
- 6:20Speaker 2: or a hammer, he would he would take everything. If
- 6:22Speaker 2: you had food anywhere, it was taken. I mean he
- 6:26Speaker 2: was famous for that, not just food, anything, staplers, anything, everything.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I'm thinking of a couple others, but they're still alive.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I won't mention him from other radio stations, but it
- 6:39Speaker 2: does happen. Hey, this is the most horrible case in Chicago.
- 6:47Speaker 2: This student, she's a student at Loyola and she's from Westchester,
- 6:52Speaker 2: she's from Yorktown Heights and she's going to Loyola and
- 6:56Speaker 2: she's if you'll follow her on Instagram or she's just
- 6:59Speaker 2: having the great time. It's like the best time of
- 7:02Speaker 2: her life going at Loyola. And she's got a lot
- 7:04Speaker 2: of friends and she's very happy and her name is
- 7:06Speaker 2: Sheridan Gorman. And she's out at Toby Prin's Beach along
- 7:13Speaker 2: the pier late night, you know, the college kids are
- 7:16Speaker 2: out late when a gunman approaches her, shoots her in
- 7:22Speaker 2: the head and executes her. This is one thirty in
- 7:25Speaker 2: the morning. No reason for this, What possible motive could
- 7:28Speaker 2: there be? Shooter he had his face covered, fled into
- 7:33Speaker 2: the darkness. Now it turns out the shooter is from Venezuela.
- 7:37Speaker 2: He's an illegal, an illegal migrant here illegally. He did
- 7:42Speaker 2: have a previous criminal problem shoplifting. He was let go
- 7:46Speaker 2: of a misdemeanor. They found the guy. They eventually found
- 7:51Speaker 2: this guy and his face was covered, but he had
- 7:54Speaker 2: a very distinctive limp and there were witnesses, so because
- 7:57Speaker 2: of the limp, they got him arrested him. He's an
- 8:01Speaker 2: illegal migrant, illegal alien, totally illegal. Now, the Loyola student
- 8:07Speaker 2: newspaper did a story about this, this poor girl being executed,
- 8:14Speaker 2: and in the story they mentioned that he was an
- 8:16Speaker 2: illegal migrant. Well, this is how crazy woke things are
- 8:20Speaker 2: in these colleges. The college went crazy, the students went crazy.
- 8:23Speaker 2: The newspaper was getting bombarded with all kinds of angry
- 8:28Speaker 2: screaming people that how dare they call him an illegal alien?
- 8:31Speaker 2: The student newspaper rewrote the story. They republished it, describing
- 8:38Speaker 2: him as a Rogers Park resident, and they apologized for
- 8:43Speaker 2: calling him an illegal migrant. They apologized. They said, that
- 8:46Speaker 2: headline doesn't reflect the most important elements in the story,
- 8:50Speaker 2: and we took it down to prevent any further harm
- 8:54Speaker 2: to affected community members. Now they're getting shot in the
- 8:57Speaker 2: head part. They didn't consider that big harm, but offending
- 9:00Speaker 2: the woke that was great harm. They went on to say,
- 9:04Speaker 2: we described a man who was charged as an illegal
- 9:07Speaker 2: immigrant using language provided by the Department of Homeland Security.
- 9:12Speaker 2: That language does not align with Associated Press style. Associated
- 9:17Speaker 2: press is the most left wing, woke, partisan slanted thing now,
- 9:22Speaker 2: and they apologized, nor does it align with the values
- 9:26Speaker 2: of this newspaper. No humans experience is illegal, and we
- 9:31Speaker 2: quickly changed our wording to reflect that, wait a minute,
- 9:34Speaker 2: a lot of people, a lot of people are illegal.
- 9:36Speaker 2: You know, a guy goes into a bank and robs it,
- 9:38Speaker 2: that he's doing something illegal. You can be illegal. You
- 9:41Speaker 2: can be yourself illegal by being an illegal immigrant. Of
- 9:44Speaker 2: course it's illegal. Then there's a Chicago alder woman, a politician,
- 9:48Speaker 2: local politician, Maria Hadden, who's getting attacked all over the
- 9:53Speaker 2: place because she's a typical Democrat, the woke. She blamed
- 9:57Speaker 2: the victim. She said, the girl was an in the
- 10:00Speaker 2: wrong place at the wrong time. It's her fault. She
- 10:03Speaker 2: was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She's
- 10:05Speaker 2: getting a lot of flat for that. The mayor of Chicago,
- 10:09Speaker 2: another left wing kook, Brandon Johnson, refused to apologize to
- 10:13Speaker 2: Gorman's parents for his sanctuary cities policies which allowed this
- 10:18Speaker 2: illegal to roam around. And by the way, Homeland Security
- 10:22Speaker 2: thinks there's about two thousand more of these people there
- 10:25Speaker 2: in Chicago, illegals, dangerous criminal illegals in Chicago. They think
- 10:30Speaker 2: there's two thousand more of them. Now, why would he
- 10:33Speaker 2: just go shoot this poor college girl. Why would this
- 10:37Speaker 2: guy just walk up and shoot her. A lot of
- 10:40Speaker 2: people think, even law enforcement, a lot of people think
- 10:44Speaker 2: he was trying to join a gang. And in a
- 10:47Speaker 2: lot of gangs, that's the initiation. You got to shoot somebody.
- 10:51Speaker 2: In a lot of gangs, you have to just go
- 10:52Speaker 2: execute somebody in public, totally innocent person, just shoot him.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Part of the initiation. That's the only explanation that makes
- 11:00Speaker 2: any sense. JB. Pritzker, that governor of Illinois, the big
- 11:04Speaker 2: fat Ralph Crampton looking governor, tried to blame Trump for it. Somehow,
- 11:09Speaker 2: it's all Trump's fault, his policies. Then he went after
- 11:12Speaker 2: Trump for politicizing the death. Well, instead of focusing on
- 11:16Speaker 2: real solutions, like reinstating federal funds to prevent violence. You know,
- 11:21Speaker 2: they always come up with this, there's some bill, they have,
- 11:24Speaker 2: some federal funds that would take care. The only thing
- 11:26Speaker 2: that takes care of dangerous criminal, illegal shooting people is
- 11:31Speaker 2: ice arresting them and getting them hell out of here,
- 11:33Speaker 2: just to pourt them, get rid of them. That's the
- 11:35Speaker 2: only thing that really works. So it's just a horrible,
- 11:38Speaker 2: horrible case. Hey, the Washington Post, he said, there's no
- 11:42Speaker 2: good news. The Washington Post has suffered the worst print
- 11:47Speaker 2: circulation decline ever, worst among the top twenty five newspapers.
- 11:52Speaker 2: You know, the Washington Post was always at a little
- 11:55Speaker 2: to the left, and then in recent times, you know,
- 11:58Speaker 2: the Trump era became rid ridiculously slanted to the left,
- 12:02Speaker 2: ridiculously biased, so bad that Jeff Bezos, the owner, had
- 12:07Speaker 2: to step in and clean things up. He doesn't want
- 12:09Speaker 2: him to be to the right. You can't go that
- 12:12Speaker 2: far left. He can't be that partisan. So he started
- 12:15Speaker 2: stopping some of the extremest nonsense they were printing. That
- 12:19Speaker 2: caused a lot of people to quit. By the way,
- 12:22Speaker 2: with this extremist left wing nonsense, they were losing a
- 12:25Speaker 2: fortune and just losing a ton of money. They were
- 12:30Speaker 2: losing one hundred million a year, one hundred million of
- 12:34Speaker 2: the year. So how did they keep going? Well, Bezos
- 12:37Speaker 2: is a zillionaire, so every week he had to write
- 12:41Speaker 2: a check for two million just to keep them going.
- 12:44Speaker 2: And he did that for a few years. Every end
- 12:46Speaker 2: of every week he'd write a two million dollar check
- 12:48Speaker 2: to pay up the debt that they were losing so
- 12:51Speaker 2: much money. But after a couple of years, even if
- 12:54Speaker 2: you're a true zillionaire, you don't want to write a
- 12:56Speaker 2: check for two million every week. So he started fixing things.
- 12:59Speaker 2: They layoff three hundred journalists. They had to close the
- 13:04Speaker 2: entire sports department because you don't need it anymore. It's
- 13:08Speaker 2: now twenty twenty six. There's a million sports sites where
- 13:12Speaker 2: can go get every detail in the world about anything sports.
- 13:15Speaker 2: You don't need that sports desk there, so they got
- 13:18Speaker 2: rid of that. They're cleaning house now, but they still
- 13:21Speaker 2: took a massive, massive decline in circulation. Hey yea, Christi Nome.
- 13:27Speaker 2: You know, she was fired as the Homeland Security had
- 13:30Speaker 2: and one of the reasons was the money she wasted
- 13:33Speaker 2: on that advertising campaign two hundred million, actually two hundred
- 13:38Speaker 2: and twenty million she spent supposedly an advertising campaign about
- 13:41Speaker 2: the Homeland Security illegal migrant all this sort of stuff,
- 13:45Speaker 2: which might be fine, except the commercials all seemed to
- 13:48Speaker 2: be her, her looking glamorous, her on a horse. It
- 13:51Speaker 2: didn't seem to be promoting what they needed to promote.
- 13:54Speaker 2: It didn't seem to be about getting the message out.
- 13:57Speaker 2: It seemed to be about promoting Christy Nome. That was
- 13:59Speaker 2: the problem. And a lot of people think she really
- 14:01Speaker 2: wants to run in twenty twenty eight, and that was
- 14:04Speaker 2: the real purpose of these commercials to get that twenty
- 14:07Speaker 2: twenty eight campaign going. So they fired her the shutting
- 14:11Speaker 2: down that program. But it's now being investigated, looked at
- 14:14Speaker 2: by congressional committees, and they look at the payments she
- 14:16Speaker 2: made twenty thousand dollars on horse rentals twenty thousand on
- 14:22Speaker 2: horse rentals because a lot of this was her ride
- 14:24Speaker 2: and a horse. Almost four thousand dollars on hair and makeup,
- 14:30Speaker 2: fifty three thousand on videography photography production vendors, forty one
- 14:36Speaker 2: thousand on other vendors. They hired the Strategy Group company
- 14:40Speaker 2: they built one hundred and ten thousand for labor costs
- 14:44Speaker 2: and a sixty thousand dollars signing bonus. Who gets a
- 14:48Speaker 2: signing bonus? And maybe Aaron Judge who else gets a
- 14:51Speaker 2: signing bonus? A federal watchdog investigating one hundreds of millions
- 14:56Speaker 2: of dollars in this stuff. They're grilling them. She still
- 15:00Speaker 2: shows up for the grilling with Corey Lewandowski, the boyfriend,
- 15:04Speaker 2: sitting right next to her. Hey, we'll take some calls next.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 15:10Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
- 15:15Speaker 1: It hits in access to Mark by setting a freeset
- 15:19Speaker 1: in the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone show on woor.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:31Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Mike
- 15:33Speaker 2: in Massachusetts, Mike, how you doing.
- 15:37Speaker 3: I'm doing well.
- 15:39Speaker 4: My question has to do with the Christy Nome thing.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Isn't the real issue that the company that was hired
- 15:47Speaker 4: to make the commercials were like friends of Lewandowski and
- 15:53Speaker 4: they set up a company ten days before these millions
- 15:57Speaker 4: of dollars went to them.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Well, that's a that's a separate issue. One is you
- 16:01Speaker 2: shouldn't be spending the money. Then the other thing is
- 16:05Speaker 2: set up a company that does the time buying for you,
- 16:08Speaker 2: buy places the ads, and you get ten percent of
- 16:11Speaker 2: the commission. That way, it's legal. It's kind of sleazy.
- 16:16Speaker 2: That's how Bernie Sanders became a multi millionaire. You know,
- 16:19Speaker 2: when you run for president, you buy a couple hundred
- 16:22Speaker 2: million dollars worth of TV commercials. And when you buy
- 16:25Speaker 2: TV commercials, you have to have an agency that does
- 16:27Speaker 2: the time buying for you, and they take a fee.
- 16:30Speaker 2: They like to take ten percent of the buy because
- 16:33Speaker 2: they know how to place the commercial strategically, So they
- 16:37Speaker 2: set up a company time buying agents. Instead of using
- 16:40Speaker 2: one of the time buying agencies, they set up their
- 16:41Speaker 2: own company run by his wife, and she collected the
- 16:44Speaker 2: commission off the two three hundred million dollar buys. It
- 16:47Speaker 2: came to like twenty thirty million. That's how Bernie became
- 16:50Speaker 2: so rich. It's totally legal. You can do it. Let's
- 16:53Speaker 2: go to Phil and Long Island.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Phil.
- 16:55Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 16:56Speaker 1: Yes?
- 16:57Speaker 3: Hello, Mark, I want to talk about this weasel, aimed
- 17:00Speaker 3: Chuck Schumer.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yes.
- 17:02Speaker 3: When asked by Broadway Joe Scarborough, he wasn't happy that
- 17:07Speaker 3: Irong is being crushed, you know with this weasel said,
- 17:11Speaker 3: he said, Well, what's going to happen three months from now?
- 17:15Speaker 1: Now?
- 17:15Speaker 3: God Mark, what's going to happen ten years from now?
- 17:18Speaker 1: Well?
- 17:18Speaker 2: The good news is that this awful Chuck Schumer always
- 17:22Speaker 2: wrong about everything. Remember he said Monday, once Ice goes
- 17:25Speaker 2: to the airports, the lines will get longer. Everything will
- 17:27Speaker 2: be total chaos. Just the opposite happened. He's a desperate
- 17:30Speaker 2: old man. He's a Willie Lohman old death of a salesman.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Desperate guy at the end of his career, trying to
- 17:36Speaker 2: hang on, trying to look relevant, hasn't got a clue
- 17:39Speaker 2: how to do it. It's not working. Speaking of Joe Scarborough, Morning, Joe,
- 17:44Speaker 2: a big announcement. They signed a new three year contract.
- 17:46Speaker 2: They're all excited, a new three year contract. Instead of
- 17:49Speaker 2: four hours, it'll be a three hour show. They forgot
- 17:52Speaker 2: to mention they're getting less money under this new contract.
- 17:54Speaker 2: But that's okay. You can leave out certain details. Let's
- 17:58Speaker 2: go to Robert in New Jersey. But how you doing Robert? Robert?
- 18:06Speaker 3: Yes, yes, go Roberts will might also run for president
- 18:11Speaker 3: in twenty twenty eight. Who Curtis three? Watch you think
- 18:15Speaker 3: he will run for president two in twenty twenty eight?
- 18:18Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. He's right outside out the hall there.
- 18:21Speaker 2: You want me to ask him? Sure, Nah, he's not
- 18:24Speaker 2: gonna run. Oh, actually I did ask him. I forgot
- 18:26Speaker 2: I did ask.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Him he will run.
- 18:28Speaker 2: No, he's not running even for mayor. His wife will
- 18:30Speaker 2: not allow him to run again.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Who do you think will run for president in twenty
- 18:34Speaker 1: twenty eight?
- 18:34Speaker 2: Everybody?
- 18:37Speaker 3: Who's gonna win?
- 18:38Speaker 2: Well, you know, people like to make that it's gonna
- 18:40Speaker 2: be Rubio. Now, it's gonna be your advance. You can't
- 18:43Speaker 2: make that prediction. It's like try to predict right now
- 18:46Speaker 2: who's going to win the twenty twenty eight super Bowl.
- 18:49Speaker 2: You can't do it. It's impossible. It's too too far
- 18:52Speaker 2: into the future. Let's go to Bernie in New Jersey, Bernie,
- 18:55Speaker 2: How you doing great?
- 18:57Speaker 1: Mark Good?
- 18:59Speaker 5: I just want to mention I'm a little bit missed
- 19:02Speaker 5: by this situation with Loyola and the Laurela Phoenix newspaper.
- 19:06Speaker 5: I'm looking at it online right now, and in the
- 19:09Speaker 5: article towards the towards the end, it says, I quote,
- 19:13Speaker 5: according to police report, Medina is a Venezuelan immigrant that
- 19:18Speaker 5: has been living in the country illegally, according to Pressureley.
- 19:23Speaker 5: So if they issued an apology, why is it still
- 19:26Speaker 5: up on their website newspaper?
- 19:29Speaker 2: Who knows? They forgot to change the website. They put
- 19:31Speaker 2: it out again, but they forgot to change it. It's
- 19:33Speaker 2: a crazy, crazy, ridiculous. These college newspapers, these colleges, they're
- 19:38Speaker 2: all just ridiculous. Let's go to Steve in Bergen County. Steve,
- 19:42Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Hi, Mark?
- 19:44Speaker 2: How's it going good?
- 19:47Speaker 1: Mark?
- 19:47Speaker 6: I want to just bring up this whole thing about
- 19:49Speaker 6: this tsa situation and unnecessary bureaucracy that was created sadly
- 19:55Speaker 6: after nine to one one with some fake necessity to
- 19:58Speaker 6: have government employees in the actual security screening at the airports.
- 20:02Speaker 6: I actually did that exact job as a sixteen year
- 20:06Speaker 6: old at lax airport. I work for security seventy six.
- 20:09Speaker 6: I'm a retire federal employee, know all about the way
- 20:12Speaker 6: they're trained and everything else. Ninety nine percent of what
- 20:15Speaker 6: they learn is OJT. This should be contracted out.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I agree with you. You know there are
- 20:20Speaker 2: twenty two airports right now in America that don't use
- 20:23Speaker 2: these TSA guys. They use private security companies. Twenty two
- 20:26Speaker 2: airports and they're fine. They weren't affected by the shutdown.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Didn't have any effect on me. You're right, More and
- 20:31Speaker 2: more and more should use private contractors. Let's go to
- 20:34Speaker 2: a is a gup in Denville, New Jersey.
- 20:38Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark, Yes, taking my call. Hey, I want
- 20:41Speaker 7: to preface my point with I think it's very impressive
- 20:44Speaker 7: that your screener doesn't even ask what we want to
- 20:46Speaker 7: talk about.
- 20:47Speaker 2: We don't care.
- 20:49Speaker 7: Hey, I don't think this is rocket science, an idea
- 20:53Speaker 7: for your buddy Ed Rollins or Republican campaigns in general.
- 20:57Speaker 8: You know these vemituous core ru Lington's and all these
- 21:01Speaker 8: sanctuary cities that opened the violence, Why don't they just
- 21:05Speaker 8: come up with the slogan and use it and educate
- 21:08Speaker 8: the low information voters.
- 21:10Speaker 7: Hey, Democrats own this.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Oh, you're right. You know, listen, the messaging has been
- 21:17Speaker 2: terrible on behalf of Republicans. That's why they love. Democrats
- 21:20Speaker 2: love keeping this shutdown going. They think it's hurting Republicans
- 21:23Speaker 2: and they may not be wrong. Republicans have not gotten
- 21:26Speaker 2: out in front of public relations wise on this Hey,
- 21:28Speaker 2: when we come back. The Great Jimmy Fayla very funny,
- 21:32Speaker 2: great show every night at nine. We'll talk to him
- 21:34Speaker 2: next on seven to ten WR.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Litter New York. Mark Simone on WR.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Well, Jimmy pale O The Great Talk Show hosts them
- 21:47Speaker 2: fabulous comedian.
- 21:48Speaker 5: You know.
- 21:48Speaker 2: He does an excellent show here every night at nine
- 21:51Speaker 2: o'clock tonight nine to midnight, every weeknight nine to midnight WR.
- 21:55Speaker 2: You'll love it. He also on the weekend Saturday Night
- 21:58Speaker 2: does the best late night talk show and television Saturday
- 22:02Speaker 2: nights at ten Fox News Channel best monologue in TV.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Donald Trump watches the show. He loves it and has
- 22:08Speaker 2: tweeted about it every Saturday night on Fox at ten.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla, how you doing.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I'm fat and drunk because I went to Patsy's the
- 22:17Speaker 1: other night nice and pound for pound is the best
- 22:22Speaker 1: food you're gonna eat anywhere. Okay. I love Patty's. But
- 22:24Speaker 1: what I did not know about Patsy because I've been
- 22:26Speaker 1: reading about it since I was five, is they refill
- 22:29Speaker 1: a wine glass like they're a fraternity brother. So I
- 22:34Speaker 1: went there and was just having what I thought with
- 22:36Speaker 1: a substantive conversation about showbiz and life and politics. And
- 22:41Speaker 1: by the end of it, I went from talking to
- 22:43Speaker 1: one people to seeing three people at my table. But
- 22:47Speaker 1: I was able to I was able to stuff, veal,
- 22:50Speaker 1: chop my way out of it. So it was a
- 22:52Speaker 1: week man. Good for them.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Well, check out Jimmy Faylo's Instagram. You can see pictures
- 22:56Speaker 2: of him at Patsy's sal of course, the great owner,
- 23:00Speaker 2: and you got to see all the Sinatra memorabilia and
- 23:02Speaker 2: stuff there.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it was. It was crazy to me because you understand,
- 23:07Speaker 1: like I grew up in Levittown on Long Island, and
- 23:10Speaker 1: I loved gossip pages like Liz Smith, Cindy Adams, page six,
- 23:14Speaker 1: all that stuff, and they always talk about Patsies. And
- 23:16Speaker 1: every Sinatra book I ever read talks about passies. Of course,
- 23:19Speaker 1: Johnny Carson books about Everybody talks about Passy. So I've
- 23:21Speaker 1: never went. So that was like my actual Mayflower, except
- 23:25Speaker 1: they didn't have turkey on the boat. They had veal.
- 23:28Speaker 1: But it was so good. So I've been I have,
- 23:32Speaker 1: I've been singing their praise. That's good. But I got
- 23:34Speaker 1: to stop talking about it because wardrobe, you know this,
- 23:37Speaker 1: I'm not supposed to be eat in carbs Monday through Friday.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I'm in big trouble over here. I'm gonna get fined
- 23:42Speaker 1: next time.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Order the Sinatra meal, sal will make it for you. No,
- 23:45Speaker 2: it's not that good. The food at Patsy's is phenomenal.
- 23:48Speaker 2: It's great. But he always had I didn't think I
- 23:51Speaker 2: don't think he had the best taste in food. He
- 23:52Speaker 2: always liked this plain, dried out stuff. It was.
- 23:56Speaker 1: But that's also white, like he's he is. You know,
- 23:58Speaker 1: he's a skinny singer. You know that's Sinatra. Was definitely
- 24:03Speaker 1: drinking his calorie. You know, if you order the Sinatra drink,
- 24:08Speaker 1: they bring you a funnel. It doesn't come in a glass.
- 24:12Speaker 1: So I think it's a different I think it's a
- 24:13Speaker 1: different animal. But yeah, I just I loved it so much,
- 24:16Speaker 1: so I had to sing their praises.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a famous Don Rickles loved Patsy's. Everybody
- 24:20Speaker 2: loved all the great comedians. You know, when you when
- 24:24Speaker 2: you walk in those pictures on the wall there, it's
- 24:25Speaker 2: like comedians you forgot about from like the fifties and
- 24:28Speaker 2: sixties and great stuff.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Yeah, well, right right now, the only comedian anyone's forgetting
- 24:33Speaker 1: about is Jimmy Kimmel.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Now, Jimmy Kimmel got in all kinds of trouble. He's
- 24:37Speaker 2: putting down Mark Wayne Mullen because he used to be
- 24:39Speaker 2: a plumber. I thought it wasn't wasn't Jimmy Kimmel a
- 24:42Speaker 2: blue collar guy himself at one point?
- 24:45Speaker 1: I mean, you'd think Jimmy Kimmel would want a plumber
- 24:47Speaker 1: around just to get his ratings out of a toilet.
- 24:52Speaker 1: You guys need a plumber over there at ABC. Like
- 24:54Speaker 1: my show is more popular than Jimmy Kimmel's show. That's
- 24:57Speaker 1: not supposed to happen. But I'm not kidding. I am
- 25:00Speaker 1: not special report over here. I am special at Okay,
- 25:04Speaker 1: I'm having a nice time on the TV. I am
- 25:06Speaker 1: not supposed to be taken seriously. And they took, as
- 25:10Speaker 1: you know, a legacy network medium and destroyed it, like
- 25:16Speaker 1: Late Night has been destroyed, like it's not coming back,
- 25:19Speaker 1: and I'm not happy about that because I worshiped it
- 25:22Speaker 1: growing up and I hate like I'm like a survivor,
- 25:24Speaker 1: like me and Guttfelder are doing normal numbers, okay that
- 25:27Speaker 1: late night hosts are supposed to do, but not no,
- 25:29Speaker 1: what's doing a Johnny Carson number? Obviously because Johnny Carson
- 25:33Speaker 1: was the you know, the greatest guy to ever do this.
- 25:34Speaker 1: And there were like eight channels when he was on,
- 25:36Speaker 1: but he was that good that he would have been
- 25:38Speaker 1: the biggest guy in any era with any amount of channels.
- 25:41Speaker 1: But the point is, those guys aren't doing our job,
- 25:44Speaker 1: Like our job is comedy. When you think of Rodney Dangerfield,
- 25:48Speaker 1: especially on the Tonight Show, okay because it's really where
- 25:51Speaker 1: he would kill the hardest, you know, is you'd watch
- 25:54Speaker 1: him break Johnny into nothing and it was just so
- 25:56Speaker 1: funny to watch because you could feel the impact of
- 25:59Speaker 1: the punchline and Rodney's catchphrase was I don't get no respect.
- 26:03Speaker 1: It was not I know more about border security than
- 26:06Speaker 1: Mark Wayne Mullin does. Like that crazy to me, You're
- 26:10Speaker 1: cleaning it, like what are you even doing? You know,
- 26:13Speaker 1: stand your lane and it just drives me nuts, man.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Yeah, can you imagine if Rodney came out to the
- 26:18Speaker 2: Trump was a fascist? It's no kings, Democracy's on the bell.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Who the worst would have killed it?
- 26:31Speaker 2: Who was it? It was Vince Faughn the other day said,
- 26:33Speaker 2: I'm trying to watch late night TV. I don't want
- 26:35Speaker 2: to be yelled at. I don't want to be lectured.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I don't want to be scolded. It's an arrogant kind
- 26:39Speaker 2: of thing, isn't it.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Yes, And that's that's what's wrong with it for real.
- 26:45Speaker 1: It's not that it's political, it's that it's purposeful. Political
- 26:49Speaker 1: is fun. You can make fun of politicians. I do
- 26:50Speaker 1: it every Saturday night, okay, But at no point do
- 26:53Speaker 1: I stop talking and go. And that's why we have
- 26:56Speaker 1: to vote this way. That's a purpose, you know what
- 26:59Speaker 1: I'm saying. And that's what they've turned late night into.
- 27:02Speaker 1: They've turned late night into five nights a week with
- 27:05Speaker 1: that one ant who ruins Thanksgiving? You know, And you
- 27:09Speaker 1: don't want that, you just you don't want that out
- 27:11Speaker 1: of the medium. And we're not supposed to at comics. Again,
- 27:15Speaker 1: we shouldn't looked down on people because we are the fools.
- 27:19Speaker 1: I mean that's what the origin of a comedian is.
- 27:23Speaker 1: The guy that was juggling for the emperor. You know,
- 27:26Speaker 1: the fool the King, Bring me my fool. You know
- 27:29Speaker 1: that whole thing. Yea, and again, wellk you know this.
- 27:31Speaker 1: When you get into comedy, they pay you in chicken
- 27:33Speaker 1: fingers and drink tickets the first five years, and the
- 27:37Speaker 1: chicken figures keep coming, but they usually take away the
- 27:39Speaker 1: drakes take by a year six to comics. Oh but
- 27:42Speaker 1: that's the point. We're not supposed to get up there
- 27:44Speaker 1: and act like we know better. The whole point of
- 27:47Speaker 1: our existence is to make you feel better about the
- 27:50Speaker 1: fact that none of us know.
- 27:51Speaker 2: What we're doing. Yeah. Well, if you want to see
- 27:53Speaker 2: how late nights you're supposed to look, watch Jimmy Fayla
- 27:56Speaker 2: Saturday nights at ten Fox News Channel. And it's the
- 27:59Speaker 2: best monologue in television. It's long, and it's it's bipartisan.
- 28:03Speaker 2: You go after both sides, right, it's what you're supposed
- 28:05Speaker 2: to do.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Oh god, yeah, like we did. We did eight minutes
- 28:08Speaker 1: last week on Christy Nolman whatever it was the week
- 28:10Speaker 1: she got fired. Last week, I was yelling at John
- 28:12Speaker 1: Soon for not passing the say back but Trump likes
- 28:14Speaker 1: it because he wants to be laughed at. You know
- 28:17Speaker 1: what I'm saying. He wants like in a perfect world
- 28:20Speaker 1: for him, Okay, the late night shows would make fun
- 28:22Speaker 1: of him all day like they were roasting someone. They
- 28:26Speaker 1: just wouldn't be like trying to stop him, you know.
- 28:30Speaker 1: And that's the thing my show. If you hated Fox,
- 28:33Speaker 1: if you hated Trump, okay, you shouldn't hate me because
- 28:36Speaker 1: you can never hate me as much as I hate myself.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I mean, come on, man, But the point is my
- 28:40Speaker 1: show it's just syrup. Okay. We're just taking the news
- 28:44Speaker 1: and we're putting a lot of syrup or honey or
- 28:46Speaker 1: whatever the heck you want to tell me is on there,
- 28:48Speaker 1: just to make it like a funhouse mirror version of
- 28:51Speaker 1: the news. That's all it is. It's like you're watching
- 28:53Speaker 1: the week recap if it was fun instead of the
- 28:56Speaker 1: world was on fire.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah. The other reason Trump loves it reminds him of
- 29:01Speaker 2: Johnny Carson, Don Rickles, that kind of stuff. It's that
- 29:04Speaker 2: kind of feel too. You can listen to Jimmy Taylor
- 29:06Speaker 2: too nine to midnight every night on wo R nine
- 29:10Speaker 2: to midnight. Hey, this is decision about meta Facebook YouTube
- 29:15Speaker 2: that it's their fault, the poor girls or victims they
- 29:19Speaker 2: got addicted. Are they really victims? I mean, just turn
- 29:22Speaker 2: it off, don't look at it. Isn't it that simple?
- 29:25Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 29:25Speaker 1: I never understood that either. I don't think because I
- 29:28Speaker 1: didn't grow up in that era. I always laugh when
- 29:31Speaker 1: I hear about cyberbullying because I'm like, just shut off
- 29:34Speaker 1: the freaking you know, like, go outside. It's amazing how
- 29:39Speaker 1: a lot of our problems are social media problems, you know,
- 29:45Speaker 1: Like look at politics. The issues we're fighting over are
- 29:48Speaker 1: the same. We're just doing it differently because the guy
- 29:51Speaker 1: you disagree with now lives in your pockets too many,
- 29:53Speaker 1: four hours a day in your phone. But it's like
- 29:56Speaker 1: if everyone just walked out the freaking door watch in
- 29:58Speaker 1: a while. Look, I know it's get a little bit
- 30:01Speaker 1: less safe and mom, Donnie's New York, but you can try.
- 30:04Speaker 1: You get out there and live a little bit, you know,
- 30:06Speaker 1: give the world a chance. Man.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Yeah, hey what about Iran? President thinks maybe two and
- 30:12Speaker 2: a half more weeks. Do you think that that's it?
- 30:13Speaker 2: It'll be over soon?
- 30:16Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 30:16Speaker 1: I mean it's not looking good. I mean that we
- 30:18Speaker 1: what are they on their third eye? A Tola. I
- 30:21Speaker 1: don't even know what's happening. It's like every one of
- 30:24Speaker 1: these other liberal outlets like to get on TV and
- 30:26Speaker 1: say it's chaos. We don't know what they're doing. I'm
- 30:29Speaker 1: like the their Aye Atola is on a milk carton
- 30:32Speaker 1: right now, like they didn't know what the guy is Like,
- 30:35Speaker 1: how are you going to tell me? In what world
- 30:37Speaker 1: are they winning the war? If we couldn't find a
- 30:39Speaker 1: president in this country for three weeks and it's happened
- 30:42Speaker 1: with Biden. But I'm just saying, then get chaotic when
- 30:46Speaker 1: it goes down that way.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Well, Jimmy Pail, it hates on every night nine to
- 30:50Speaker 2: midnight on w o R. What do you have tonight
- 30:53Speaker 2: on the show?
- 30:55Speaker 1: Ooh, it's Thursday night, So understand we're getting a little
- 30:58Speaker 1: crazy to night. I'm bringing in two comedians that are
- 31:01Speaker 1: going to be on my TV show this weekend, and
- 31:04Speaker 1: we're just gonna make fun of the news. That's all
- 31:05Speaker 1: it is. You get Ryan, Ryan Reese, I'm getting Mick
- 31:08Speaker 1: Thomas on NI. Tomas a great Irish comment from Long Island,
- 31:11Speaker 1: and I want to talk to him about the U
- 31:13Speaker 1: two Springsteen protest tour. Did you see Springsteen's going on tour.
- 31:17Speaker 7: Y it starts.
- 31:19Speaker 1: He's starting Tuesday night in Minneapolis. That's where the Springsteen
- 31:22Speaker 1: Store start tarts starts. And the good news is, like
- 31:26Speaker 1: you know, a lot of Springsteen's fans have kids, obviously,
- 31:29Speaker 1: but Minneapolis is perfect because they've got five hundred empty
- 31:32Speaker 1: Somali daycare, so your kids will be great.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Well, listen tonight night, every weeknight Jimmy Philis on nine
- 31:39Speaker 2: to midnight, and make sure you watch his show on
- 31:42Speaker 2: Fox News Channels best late night show on television Saturday
- 31:45Speaker 2: at ten. And if people want to come watch your
- 31:47Speaker 2: tape it on Friday, they can get the tickets right.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Yes, the tickets are always free foxacross America dot Com.
