  [SPEAKER_00]: This portion of the offseason program is voluntary, so there was not 100% attendance.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It did look like, you know, pretty much everybody you could expect to see out there was out there, outside of one player who still not exactly sure one thing I did want to tell you the way I want to do these practice recaps this off season and into training camp is I want to give my kind of raw unfiltered analysis of what I saw at practice.

  [SPEAKER_00]: before I get into the press conferences from the coaches and the players and all that stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then if there's anything notable where I want to do a recap on the press conference, we can also do that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm planning on taking a look at the press conference here in a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: did not stay for the press conference today because I wanted to get back and do this, this show for y'all just analyzing everything I saw out there today.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's kind of how we're going to roll this offseason and training camp really appreciate y'all tuning and supporting the channel.

  [SPEAKER_00]: lightning, you know, whether to lay, if you will, the weather was not cooperating, had to start inside and then went out for the very end, the last period, practice ended up wrapping at around 330.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So 150 to 330, basically just over, what is that?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Hour and a half.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So not a super long practice, no pads, no helmet, or excuse me, no pads, they are where helmets.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, basically, not even shells, just helmets, not what you would consider a practice that's anywhere close to the level of training camp or a regular season full contact practice, it was not full contact, it was, I wouldn't say, I wouldn't say it was, you know,

  [SPEAKER_00]: relaxed or chill or anything like that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think there was energy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that they were excited to be out there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think coaches were coaching hard, getting after it, especially with the offensive linemen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is what it like this is a point in the offseason where you're not going to learn all that much about a player about how a unit looks because it's not full contact and it's not full go you're not wearing pads shoulder pads you know all that stuff so it's one of those things where if things look good That's what you want at this point in the offseason if things don't look good

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of time to improve, but you would rather see Trevor Lawrence and the receiver is clicking or firing on all cylinders in this setting than it not looking good, even though that doesn't mean all that much for the long-term outlook of the 2026 season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, did get to see Travis Hunter out there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was able to catch some passes from the quarterbacks with the other top-wide receivers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was not participating in team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He also didn't see any teamwork for Jordan Lewis.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Didn't see Colvanne landing out there at all.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Didn't see Josh Cameron.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those are the ones that kind of expected to not see.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then didn't see Chris Rodriguez.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen I do believe was asked about that right after practice, that's the one thing I did see and he said the injury report will be coming out at some point, which of course the injury report won't be coming out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There is no injury report during this time of year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that does seem to suggest that maybe Chris Rodriguez has some sort of injury minor injury, I don't know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, something to keep in mind Chris Rotterie guys expected to be at least one of the top two running backs for the jag wars from a carries and snaps standpoint in 2026 after they signed him from the Washington Commanders Trevor Lawrence he was out there had his full head of hair, which was good to see in person, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's what everybody wants to talk about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence, the wider severs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There was plenty of seven on seven today and that was fairly competitive, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence did not start all that great.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Quite honestly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Completed a short pass to Brian Thomas Jr. early on, then a incompletion short to Britain Strange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Then he had a nice completion, Intermediate to Jacobi Myers, and on his fourth pass of this OTA number one, he was intercepted, deep down the field by Eric Murray targeting Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it was a bad pass, and this is a storyline we are going to be watching, hammering home, throughout this off-season and training camp, how does the connection between Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr. looks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: that needs and specifically the deep connection.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You didn't see it on that one, the connection didn't work.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, to me it was much more on Trevor Lawrence than Brian Thomas Jr. in that scenario.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Is it the end of the world does this mean they're not going to get on the same page?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But first shot that they had, did not get it done.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We will continue to talk a little bit about BTJ in this one because more seven on seven and more work for Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: After that one, Jacobi Myers dropped the next pass, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: You don't expect to see a lot of Jacobi Myers dropped, but he dropped the next pass.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Trevor Lawrence, he started two of five in seven on seven.

  [SPEAKER_00]: then he completed one to BTJ intermediate, completed another one to Kobe Myers, completed a deep shot to Brian Thomas Jr. to get back on the right side of things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think those two guys, they're both so talented.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's no reason that their connections should not really kind of flourish in year two of this system and they shouldn't be able to get it together, but it was good to see that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: kind of BTJ going up and getting a little bit, Trevor putting in a spot that he could go get it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that would have been a bomb, absolutely.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that was great to see to get to five of eight, six of nine completed a pass to, um, to 13, who I'm drawing a blank on who 13 is, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Tim Jones, up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tim Jones, he then completed one two-nate worker church.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Good to see that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Completed another couple passes to Parker Washington, then Jacobian Myers, then CJ Williams, then Lincoln Allen, three more straight in a row to Parker Washington, and another one to BTJ.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, after he started two of five, he didn't have an incompletion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, yes, Trevor Lawrence, one interception, bunch of good throws, bunch of on the money throws, not full contact, not all of it was against the number one defense, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So there's a lot of different caveats, but again, 16 of 19 and 7 on 7 outside of the interception is exactly what you would want to see in this setting.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to see the interception, but

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a long way to go.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're knocking the rust off, you're getting things going, getting used to the speed of this practice session and all that stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think completing the amount of passes he did percentage by 16 of 19, ultimately a strong practice.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And it was really good to see outside of the interception.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trevor was on the money and connecting with BTJ.

  [SPEAKER_00]: First step in the right direction in my opinion, especially with that bounce back deep shot to Ryan Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Did want to remind some of y'all that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There are some new numbers to keep in mind.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Buster Brown is wearing number one, jarring in Jones, wearing number four, Lee Quint Allen, wearing number five, Antonio Johnson, wearing number six.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those are the ones that really kind of stand out in a big way.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Talking about Nate Borkerture, the Jaguars first selection in the 2026 NFL draft, of course, it wasn't until the second round, but saw him on the field at times, as I mentioned, caught a pass from Trevor Lawrence, saw him on the field at times with Britain's strange, with Quentin Morris as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I can't get into the details, but there was a lot of variety to the way things looked out there from an offensive standpoint.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then beyond that, we will dive into some other standout plays and players that I thought just looked impressive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jabarmin Hamid, he almost picked off Nick Mullins, he beat the receiver to the spot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, probably a poorly placed ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It seemed like the ball probably should have been inside.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was a little outside, but Jabarmin Hamid really good play on that one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Speaking of a receiver, I mentioned Trevor Lawrence completed a past to CJ Williams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: CJ Williams looks super polished.

  [SPEAKER_00]: out of a rookie many camp as well, that he looked really good, Chris Brout running, like kind of professional feet, like when he's going to get his feet down in bounds, or getting in and out of his breaks as a route runner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Catching the football and look, CJ Williams is a player that, you know, this past year at Stanford when I looked at him, I didn't think there was anything specifically that was like an overwhelming trait, like in the positive regard, but I also thought that everything was just like solid.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and it seems like he's a solid player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So CJ Williams, definitely somebody to keep an eye on the Jaguar's drafted him obviously for a reason.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I have no reason to believe at this point, that he's not gonna make the roster and potentially be at this point.

  [SPEAKER_00]: why to see for five besides you know after Travis Hunter you know hunter could be your why to see for one on a given player you know not on the field why to see for whatever it may be but I have no reason to believe C. J. Williams will make the team so far I think it's looking good for him and I thought he looked you know solid on tape and speaking of Travis Hunter as I just mentioned out there every single

  [SPEAKER_00]: Every single rep, you can just tell the intensity, the focus, getting the mental reps in, like watching what's happening, and taking notes, and kind of like almost lining up, like he's going to be participating in the play, but not participating in the play, obviously away from the play, but like he's getting into his, um,

  [SPEAKER_00]: getting into his stance, whether it be offensive defense and he's just fired up to get back out there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can absolutely tell that in terms of being able to participate in team drills and all that stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Ventral Miller, he had a really nice pass break up at the line of scrimmage was good to see him getting his hands on the football talked about wanting to see him, bring his energy, he absolutely showed it there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Borkutcher and Husky were lined up across from each other, and Borkutcher left Husky in the dust.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did not get the ball, but he should have got the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was wide, wide open, just had a really nice move on Jalen Husky, which I was in pressure to see.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Borkutcher's obviously a lot bigger than Husky, he wouldn't expect him to be kind of running away from Jalen Husky, and it wasn't from a pure speed standpoint, but he put a move on him at the top of his route, and he left him in the dust.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Preston Hodge was able to intercept Carter Bradley, Preston Hodge a rookie undrafted free agent, Carter Bradley obviously Jaguar's got him last year, the son of Gus Bradley.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Their scout team quarterback.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Basial Tutan, you know, I mentioned Chris Rodriguez wasn't out there, Basial Tutan looked legit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He had multiple plays where it's just like, that guy's moving different than everybody else out there and speaking of moving different.

  [SPEAKER_00]: pretty cool to see him out there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, I've talked about since they signed him, it was just going to be cool to see him on the practice field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And this isn't like a Jarvis Landry situation where they're bringing him to see if he could do anything.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And maybe Abdullah still has the speed, the quicks, all that stuff to his game, and he's kind of a college football legend.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's been a big time kick returner in the NFL, just cool to see him out there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he's going to make the team like a lot of competition at running back, but cool to see him in a Jaguar's uniform and looking like not a shell of himself, like kind of like Jarvis Landry was a couple years back, but cool to see him out there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jaggers were able to get him as an undrafted for agent running back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He looked really good, balanced, just kind of like a pro already.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you saw that in his game coming out of Virginia.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody who knew how to pass protect, knew how to catch the ball out of the back field, knew how to run with pace and vision.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, there's no real thumping and hitting.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely not, but when Camlittle misses a kick, it is kind of surprising, honestly, especially in practice.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Another undrathetic free agent, Trevor Payneum, why do you see her stood out?

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is a guy who had multiple catches in team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is a guy who played well throughout his collegiate career, especially last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that he has a chance to at the very least be one of the top practice quad receivers for the Jaguars and potentially, you know, have a role in the future.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, James Gladstone sightings, Tony Vicelli sightings, but cool to see Jimmy Smith out there.
