Transcript
- 0:00Hey everyone and welcome to a new video.
- 0:01If this looks familiar and I look a mess then I apologise.
- 0:05And I've just finished writing five very long scripts in a row.
- 0:10I'm in the middle of filming. I'm just halfway through filming
- 0:12my yesteryear video script but I needed a break so I'm filming
- 0:15this. OK.
- 0:16A couple of weeks ago I responded to Morgan from Paula
- 0:18Morgan, her first podcast with her friend Carl.
- 0:21It was a bit of a mess, I'll be honest.
- 0:22There was a lot of straw manning in there and hating on anti
- 0:25natalists. There was a lot of
- 0:27misinformation. It was just kind of bizarre,
- 0:29boring, an unorganised half hour of moaning and squealing
- 0:33welcome. To.
- 0:34Unbuckled. A little on hand.
- 0:37And a lot honest. Oh.
- 0:45Man. Because once a month, me and
- 0:50Carl meet up. That's Carl.
- 0:53I'm Morgan. Yeah, we don't introduce.
- 0:55Ourselves. Should we introduce ourselves?
- 0:57I'm Morgan. And I'm Caroline.
- 1:00There we go. OK, Carl.
- 1:03Yes. Today we're going to be
- 1:05responding to the second episode of their podcast, High Rise
- 1:08Panty Girls in a Low Rise Gene World.
- 1:11And I will warn you that this episode there is a lot of
- 1:14discussion around body image and weight loss and exercise, which
- 1:17could be very triggering for people who have body image
- 1:20issues or a history of eating disorders.
- 1:22So I would let you to please be careful and use your best
- 1:25judgement going forward. I'm not going to go into depths
- 1:28on those topics, even though they're important to talk about.
- 1:30I just don't think I'm the most qualified person to talk about
- 1:33them. But there are some points I'm
- 1:34going to be raising and kind of asking you guys to Let me know
- 1:36your thoughts in the comments if you have more experience with
- 1:38those issues than I do. This episode opens with them
- 1:42both staring threateningly into the camera and making me feel
- 1:45very uncomfortable. What is up girlies?
- 1:47Welcome to. Unbuckled.
- 1:51A little unhinged. A lot honest it seems.
- 1:55Like ASMR right there. Don't worry, that's not what
- 2:01this is turning into, guys. No, no, no.
- 2:03Cheers. Cheers.
- 2:07Once again, I just kind of don't get their sense of humour and I
- 2:10don't really get what's so funny.
- 2:12And sit down and unbuckle with us.
- 2:14Unless you're driving then. You should buckle up.
- 2:20Like what do we do when we drive?
- 2:22We do we buckle up. We take Rd safety very seriously
- 2:25around here. Very serious.
- 2:28I said in the last video, and I'll say again here, I don't
- 2:30really understand who their target audience is and I still
- 2:32don't. They're so immature and they're
- 2:34giggling like teenagers. But then they talk about stuff
- 2:37like especially in the last episode they were talking about
- 2:38like the appearance of their vaginas and volvers and how much
- 2:41their husbands want to have sex with them.
- 2:43So it's clearly not appropriate for kids.
- 2:46But the tone is so off put into the majority of adults.
- 2:49I'm really confused who they think is going to be watching
- 2:51this. I just don't really get it.
- 2:52The first several minutes of this podcast episode are just
- 2:55Morgan screeching about having road rage and shouting at the
- 2:58cars and hating when people drive slower than her.
- 3:01And it's just a lot of high pitched noise to be honest.
- 3:05And I'll give you the highlights, but it's not
- 3:06pleasant. Although you know what?
- 3:08I realise I'm a maniac driver. You didn't have to tell me.
- 3:14But like, I'm like a good maniac driver, you know what I'm
- 3:16saying? Explain yourself.
- 3:18So like, I'm kind of a crazy driver, you guys.
- 3:20And I do get road rage, if I'm being honest.
- 3:23And if she is driving while voice memoing it is 100% like
- 3:29there is a 100% guarantee she will make some kind of comment
- 3:37about the way other people are driving.
- 3:38It's like Oh my gosh I can't believe someone had the audacity
- 3:46to go 5 miles now slow with me. Anyways.
- 3:50Anyways, so when Morgan says that she has Rotary like it's in
- 3:55check though you don't really like honk at people very much or
- 3:58anything like that. I said before that people who Dr
- 4:00Dangerously and and angry, angry driving is definitely dangerous
- 4:03driving and it's a big worry of mine and something I'm really
- 4:06concerned about and it's something I feel strongly about
- 4:08and I don't think people take seriously enough.
- 4:10I've got a whole video about speeding.
- 4:12Sounds silly, I know, but it's a whole video if people are
- 4:14interested. And I think people forget how
- 4:17dangerous cars can be. Like you're moving around this
- 4:20giant metal machine capable of killing people.
- 4:22And it's a lot of responsibility.
- 4:24And I just don't find bragging about being a poor driver to be
- 4:27funny. But maybe that's just me.
- 4:29Anyway, let's move on. And we then get a boring story
- 4:31from Carl about another driver who honked at her.
- 4:34It's dull. I listened on two times, Speed
- 4:36and speed through it because I was bored.
- 4:38OK, we're now almost 1/4 of the way into this podcast episode
- 4:41and nothing has happened. Nothing interesting has been
- 4:43said. It's such a waste of time.
- 4:46Anyhow, guys, can I just say? I would be so disappointed if
- 4:51you didn't. Then I gotta say it.
- 4:53Say it. Actually, guys, I don't even
- 4:55know what I'm gonna say. I just need to fill you in some
- 4:58more details about my week. Yes.
- 5:01OK, you guys need to hear about the details of my week.
- 5:04Let me think for a second. Do you want me to go first while
- 5:06you think on yes. Would that be helpful?
- 5:09Yes. Can I just say I want you to go
- 5:11first, OK? OK, can I just say it was not a
- 5:15good idea to drink Sprite because I literally feel like I
- 5:16have to burp every 30 seconds. Like holding it.
- 5:22I've yet to feel that way. Oh my gosh, I guess the
- 5:24carbonation just does it for me. Seriously, so much of this is
- 5:27filler which could have been cut, or if they'd actually
- 5:30planned in advance what topics they want to talk about that we
- 5:32wouldn't have these minutes of just nothingness, would we?
- 5:36Karl then starts talking about how she has been losing weight
- 5:39and how she wants to lose more weight, and this is where the
- 5:42kind of worrying content starts for me.
- 5:45And she does say something that I thought was going to be
- 5:47interesting here. Postpartum is so interesting,
- 5:50especially breastfeeding because it's just like there's your body
- 5:53just is weird. But then that's all she says
- 5:55about it. She doesn't elaborate.
- 5:56And this is something I think could have actually been an
- 5:58interesting topic as a woman who's never been pregnant, I'd
- 6:01like to know what she means. Like educate me, teach me.
- 6:04What do you mean by weird? What are these changes?
- 6:07What's bad, what's good? What advice can you give to
- 6:10women to feel good about themselves when their bodies
- 6:13going through these changes? And can you talk about what you
- 6:16wish you'd known before you were pregnant or started
- 6:18breastfeeding? What advice you give to your
- 6:21younger self or other women in that position and let let me
- 6:24know this stuff. Don't just say, Oh my God, it's
- 6:25so weird, right ladies? And then just move on.
- 6:28There's stuff here that I think would actually be interesting
- 6:30and useful for others to hear about, but they don't even touch
- 6:32on it. All we get is it's weird.
- 6:34And then she moves on to more nothingness again.
- 6:37It kind of feels like they don't really have an audience in mind
- 6:39when they're making this, so I understand why they're not
- 6:42really getting many views. I get why no one's watching it.
- 6:45Morgan then goes on to complain that her Instagram feed is full
- 6:48of women in bikinis and how she doesn't like still having a
- 6:51little tummy. Or a little pooch, as she calls
- 6:53it. And after having two kids, I
- 6:55mean, I kind of get this. It's fine.
- 6:57Feel the way you want to feel about your body.
- 6:59I feel the way I feel about my own body.
- 7:01I just feel like there's a lot of shaming going on here around
- 7:04just the idea of having like a little little bit of belly all.
- 7:08She's making it sound like it's a bad thing for everyone, and
- 7:10it's really not. It's a completely normal thing.
- 7:12She goes into some detail about how during pregnancy your ABS
- 7:15split apart and how that kind of changes how your body looks, but
- 7:19she doesn't really go any further other than to say this.
- 7:21Or is it like because of like the like how your ABS split?
- 7:25Is that what they're saying? And like it's like, OK,
- 7:26interesting. Yes.
- 7:28And just like your pelvic floor is weaker.
- 7:30And so like, yeah, I don't honestly, I couldn't tell you
- 7:33the science behind it, but I trust, I really trust the real
- 7:37that I'm watching. Yeah, I.
- 7:38Mean, obviously, if it's on the Internet.
- 7:40It's correct. It's correct.
- 7:42Again, I think this could have been a topic that other people
- 7:44find interesting. Not not me personally, but I see
- 7:47the appeal for others, but they just don't expand on it or
- 7:50provide anything new to the conversation.
- 7:53It's all just kind of very vapid.
- 7:54It's all very surface level. It's all very unoriginal or
- 7:57unoriginal as I accidentally put in my last thumbnail when I when
- 8:02I. Responded to episode 1.
- 8:03I made the funniest type on the thumbnail.
- 8:05Which is like original instead of original.
- 8:09I just felt it right. This is what I get for recording
- 8:11at like it's currently 20 to 2 in the morning so I'm exhausted.
- 8:16This is just while I'm here, while I'm in the process of
- 8:18buying a house, which is long and exhausting.
- 8:20And I'm staying with my parents temporarily.
- 8:23I'm having to film at night when my parents are in bed because
- 8:25it's the only time when the house is quiet.
- 8:27So because of that I'm doing a lot of work at night when I'm
- 8:30very very tired and I'm making silly mistakes.
- 8:33So I apologise but that that was a funny mistake.
- 8:36Sadly it's fixed now. I'm just trying to tell myself
- 8:39that I'm going through short term discomfort for long term
- 8:41gain. That's what I'm trying to
- 8:42remember. Anyway, enough about me.
- 8:44Back to Morgan and Carl. And there is one thing that she
- 8:46says that makes me feel really sad for her.
- 8:47So anywho, I am focused on getting rid of the pooch and I
- 8:51just. I'm sure it's for looks.
- 8:54I'm not like I'm not above that and I don't think.
- 8:56Anybody hot for my husband? Okay like my husband is very
- 9:01sexy. Okay, I just got to say.
- 9:03I'm uncomfortable. He has been working out so hard.
- 9:09He is in like the best physical shape of his life.
- 9:12Yeah, it's not. Pickleball, man, It's.
- 9:14Really like the cardio, like literally it's the cardio.
- 9:17But then he works out on top of that for like an hour and a half
- 9:19in the gym, some of the most intense workouts he's ever done.
- 9:22And I'm like, I got to be equal with him.
- 9:25Obvious he can't be out shining me.
- 9:27I guess it just makes me really sad for her that she feels like
- 9:30she has to change herself for a man.
- 9:32Like she's almost competing with Paul or she's competing with
- 9:35other women for Paul's attention or something.
- 9:37It just makes me feel really sorry for her.
- 9:39I mean, what about things like wanting to feel like you look
- 9:41good for yourself, to feel healthy for yourself?
- 9:43I just, I don't know, the way she phrased this just made me
- 9:46really feel for her here. OK, editing me here.
- 9:48Jumping in and hopefully there's not too much background noise
- 9:50here because I'm working outside today, but the other thing that.
- 9:53I found interesting here is since.
- 9:55I recorded this. I've seen Morgan kind of having
- 9:58a little crush out on Instagram as she does, you know, it's.
- 10:00Like a weekly occurrence at. This point, if not twice a week,
- 10:03and this time it's because a lot of people have been kind of like
- 10:05a lot of actual fans. Have been saying like what
- 10:08you're doing isn't. Really very Christian and
- 10:10you're. Being quite sane about.
- 10:11This and like, why are you so motivated by like looks and how
- 10:13you look to others? I thought your whole thing was
- 10:15like modesty and they're calling out for this.
- 10:17And she's like, well, no, obviously the main focus is
- 10:19actually like, for my health and for my kids and that sort of.
- 10:21Thing she's. Kind of backtracking a.
- 10:22Little bit now and having a crush out and say that that's a.
- 10:25Motivation. But I feel like if that was the
- 10:27case, then when she said it here, I don't know, I feel like
- 10:30there's moments where like you can forget to say things and Oh
- 10:32no, of course I meant that. You're absolutely right.
- 10:34I forgot to say that. And then there's other times
- 10:36where it's like, well, I feel like this is like the first
- 10:38instinct to say this stuff and clearly like you are motivated
- 10:41by this and want to compete with Paul.
- 10:43And wanting to. Be what you perceive as hot.
- 10:45And it is. It is a kind of vanity thing.
- 10:47And in some ways there's nothing wrong with vanity, you know?
- 10:49And if it was any other person saying, I'd be like, hey, no,
- 10:52you're more power to you. This is absolutely fine, but I
- 10:55can understand why some of her past fans are being critical of
- 10:59her and why other people are being critical of her because
- 11:01she spent so long putting down other women for how they look
- 11:04and their appearance. And being too.
- 11:06Vain or. And.
- 11:08You know, caring too much about their appearance and stuff like
- 11:10I don't know if it was in this episode now or in the next door.
- 11:13I can't remember because I filmed response to episode 3 as
- 11:15well. But there's that's why she's
- 11:16going off about women for getting my plastic surgery and
- 11:18saying how terrible that is and how they're paying and blah,
- 11:20blah. And it's like, I don't know, it
- 11:22all just feels very hypocritical.
- 11:23So I want to jump in and say that hopefully you can hear me.
- 11:26But yeah, also, if you see my response to Officer one, you'll
- 11:29there's a bit where Morgan goes off an ambulance for going by.
- 11:32And the irony was when I started filming this outside, that's a
- 11:38giant lorry. This just went past when he
- 11:39first started filming and there's a giant train that went
- 11:41past up there. It's quite funny.
- 11:43I'll put them puts in now because it's just, the irony is
- 11:46hilarious. I love it.
- 11:48OK, editing. Me here jumping in.
- 12:00Let me be very clear, I am not just doing this to get super
- 12:05hot. I'm a stay at home mom on the
- 12:08journey to get in the best shape of my life physically,
- 12:12spiritually, and mentally. And I'm not just doing it so
- 12:16that I can look in the mirror and be like, wow, I'm hot, OK?
- 12:19I'm doing it for a plethora of reasons, but reason #1 and the
- 12:25most important reason is so that I can live to full capacity of
- 12:31what the Lord has called me to do, and that is to serve others.
- 12:35You know, people talk about like looks and stuff and how like,
- 12:38that's vain. Oh, no, I'm so sorry.
- 12:41I care. And I don't think it's like, OK,
- 12:44I think that as Christians there is completely a balance here.
- 12:48But I don't think that there is anything wrong with loving the
- 12:51temple of the Holy Spirit. You know what I mean?
- 12:53Like, I really, I just don't think that there's anything
- 12:56wrong with that. I don't think that there's
- 12:57anything wrong with wanting to make it like.
- 13:00Look. Good.
- 13:02Or the best that it can be, I think tempering that with, you
- 13:07know, not idolising it, then remembering, you know, who's
- 13:11your body is like it's the. Lord's, yeah, but no.
- 13:14And I think there is this balance of like we can enhance
- 13:18it so far. Like we can work out really
- 13:20hard, we can eat really clean and we can get strong and
- 13:23healthy and then like, you know, look our best whatever
- 13:26physically. And then we could start like
- 13:29enhancing it by boob jobs and face fillers and like all of
- 13:32that stuff. And I feel like that could
- 13:34become somewhere. I'm not saying that fillers and
- 13:37things like that are a sin. Don't think they're good for
- 13:40your body. Like what do you do when
- 13:41injecting that chemical into your baate?
- 13:45But I feel like that's where it kind of becomes.
- 13:48Yeah, like way too much too. Much.
- 13:51Yeah, Yeah. And I feel like there's a lot of
- 13:54rationalising here. So Paul and Morgan are known for
- 13:57doing a lot of we'll do what we'll do and then decide that
- 14:00that's the Christian thing to do.
- 14:01And if people do it differently than us, we'll call them
- 14:03sinners. There's a lot of that in Paul
- 14:05and Morgan's content. We've seen a lot of hypocrisy
- 14:07from them, a lot of constantly changing their minds.
- 14:09So especially on the topic like modesty, for example, they
- 14:13started out with things like filming themselves in swimwear
- 14:16in a hot tub and doing this like hot tub blogs and then
- 14:19complaining the other people weren't modest enough.
- 14:22And then Paul made a video complaining about women wearing
- 14:24leggings and not being immodest. But then Morgan was like, I love
- 14:27wearing leggings. So they changed it to like, OK,
- 14:29you can wear leggings, but only at the gym.
- 14:30OK, you can wear leggings, but only if your bums covered.
- 14:32And then eventually now it's just like leggings all the time
- 14:36are fine for Morgan and she can wear them anywhere and a bum can
- 14:38be out and it doesn't matter. And then there's a stage where
- 14:40like, and when she was pregnant and posting like pregnancy
- 14:44photos, she was like there in leggings, but she like drew over
- 14:47her bum so you couldn't see it because she didn't want to be a
- 14:49modest. And now she's like screwed and
- 14:51all my reels like her bums out and you can see all in these
- 14:53leggings and stuff. And like, they don't care
- 14:55anymore. But the minute someone else does
- 14:56it, it's immodest. And they're sinners and they're
- 14:58disgusting and they should be ashamed.
- 14:59So it's very much like one rule for me, another for thee, you
- 15:04know? Yeah, so even just now I've
- 15:05recorded a bunch of her latest reels from Instagram.
- 15:08These were all like from the last week or so and even now
- 15:11there's no consistency to what she's doing.
- 15:13She'll censor a bum in half of them with this big.
- 15:15Purple Heart emoji over it. And then in other clips it's not
- 15:17there at all, but she's happy. To let her bum be.
- 15:19Shown on screen. She's happy to have.
- 15:21These like basically up crotch shots of her exercising in some
- 15:25videos but then nine others even within the same video.
- 15:28Even within the same shot. Sometimes she'll not censor it
- 15:31at one point but then we'll others.
- 15:32There's no consistency. It makes no sense whatsoever.
- 15:35It feels like when she is censoring, it's performative.
- 15:37And then other times she like just doesn't do it because.
- 15:39Either she doesn't actually care, she forgets, or she knows
- 15:42that stuff will get views. Like, I don't know.
- 15:44Again, it makes no sense. There's a lot of hypocrisy.
- 15:47It's ridiculous. Oh, by the way, I'm.
- 15:50Absolutely going to censor Morgan's kids in these clips.
- 15:52Because she did not. Oh and don't even get me started
- 15:55on like some of the earlier vlogs they did where like Paul
- 15:58was literally filming Morgan wearing skinny jeans and like
- 16:02focusing on her bum. I mean like how hard is my wife?
- 16:04And it's like well that's not very modest is it?
- 16:07And then like just a few months later they're like Christian
- 16:09women need to cover up in the mean events.
- 16:11Like you have no consistency your massive hypocrite.
- 16:14Shut up. Anyway, after this, there's a
- 16:16lot of clips that I think are really, really unhealthy and
- 16:19quite damaging. And I'm not going to go into too
- 16:21much detail here because I don't want to trigger people, but
- 16:23there's a big focus on numbers. So how many pounds you're
- 16:25losing, calorie deficits? And like I said, I can see how
- 16:29this would be triggering for people with a history of eating
- 16:31disorders. So I am concerned that they
- 16:34didn't include any kind of disclaimer before these clips.
- 16:37They spend a lot of time laughing at these things and
- 16:39acting like they're big jokes, but they're pretty serious
- 16:41issues. Like they try and like they talk
- 16:45about things like trying to exercise too soon after giving
- 16:47birth, feeling like your body needs to be a certain way and
- 16:50look a certain way to please your husband's.
- 16:52There's a heavy focus on like you need to lose X amount of
- 16:55pounds. Doesn't seem like the healthiest
- 16:57approach. At one point, Carl makes a joke
- 16:59about how after you've given birth, you should weigh yourself
- 17:03straight away because like, that's the quickest way you're
- 17:06ever going to lose 10 lbs. And it's like, you know, you can
- 17:09be happy about seeing that number drop.
- 17:11And it's just it that's, that shouldn't be your focus after
- 17:14you've just been through the physical trauma of childbirth.
- 17:17Like that shouldn't be the first thing you think about.
- 17:20You shouldn't be worrying about weighing yourself at that point
- 17:22when you've got a baby who needs you.
- 17:24Like, it just feels very kind of unhealthy.
- 17:26And they're making this joke out of it.
- 17:28And it's like, I feel nothing but concern when I hear it.
- 17:30And they're acting like it's, it's normal and funny and it's,
- 17:33it's getting quite sad. It's not.
- 17:36Just about like the weight. It's not just about like a
- 17:40certain amount of like poundage you want to lose.
- 17:44No, I mean, I do think like it's helpful to have that like in
- 17:48your, in your head. I mean, I can remember as soon
- 17:51as I got home, I stepped on the scale from the hospital.
- 17:53Yeah. No.
- 17:54Literally terrible. I think like we've grown.
- 17:58Yeah, No. Unless you want to be amazed at
- 17:59how much weight you've lost. No, I know literally someone
- 18:02asked me like, like who came to visit me at the hospital, like
- 18:06how's, you know, how was it? And I was like, oh great.
- 18:08I lost like 10 lbs and like one night, you know, it was
- 18:11fantastic. Fastest way to lose weight.
- 18:14Have a baby? Grace.
- 18:15Like finding the balance of grace and discipline and
- 18:18self-control. As we drink by McDonald's,
- 18:21right? You know we don't do this every
- 18:24day, so. Morgan also talks about how she
- 18:28used to go to hot yoga classes, but now they can't afford it,
- 18:31which is again, kind of sad to see when we've seen Paul and his
- 18:35pickleball journey on Instagram and how he's constantly like,
- 18:38spending money to go to gyms and playing these pickleball
- 18:42tournaments that he never wins. And he's constantly playing
- 18:45pickleball and training and doing cold plunges and whatever.
- 18:48So it's like they can afford to do that, but then when Morgan
- 18:52wants to do some yoga, she has to shut herself alone in a hot
- 18:54bathroom to do it. It just, it just doesn't feel
- 18:56fair. And because she's had all these
- 18:59health issues recently that she hasn't, she still hasn't got
- 19:01tested for and she's doing all this exercise and stuff, which
- 19:06if she has got the illness that the doctors think she might have
- 19:09could very easily like make her very ill or kill her.
- 19:13So the fact that she's just like being so like calm about this
- 19:16and making all these jokes about it, it's just, it's quite
- 19:18worrying and it's a bit scary. It's a lot.
- 19:21But I don't know, I'm not a doctor.
- 19:23So what can I say at this point? We're not even halfway through
- 19:25this 40 minute episode and I honestly feel like I just wasted
- 19:2820 minutes of my life on this horrific content.
- 19:31And but now we finally get to Morgan's crazy take for the
- 19:34episode. OK, Carl, I've got a crazy take
- 19:38for you. Do you?
- 19:39I do. OK.
- 19:41It's. I don't know what this.
- 19:43Is is my take crazy? Is it your take or is it like
- 19:48someone? It's my take, slash.
- 19:50It's my take on a take. You know what I'm saying?
- 19:54I sure like, No, I really do know exactly what you're saying,
- 19:57OK. Great.
- 19:58Thank you. We all love a good fashion take.
- 20:04So that's what this is. OK.
- 20:05This is my take on some fashion. My take my crazy take is that
- 20:13low rise jeans should literally be burned at the stake.
- 20:18Oh my God. OK, Or you can just not wear
- 20:21clothes you don't like and only buy clothes you do like.
- 20:25You don't have to be like, we need to ban this thing just
- 20:27because I personally don't like it.
- 20:29I mean, yeah, I'm not a fan of low rise jeans either.
- 20:31I find them a bit uncomfortable. I'd rather like, I like my
- 20:34highest waisted jeans, my high waisted shorts, my fairly high
- 20:37waisted leggings and stuff. Like I find them comfier that
- 20:39way. But the fact that they exist in
- 20:41the world has absolutely no impact on me.
- 20:44I don't care if other people want to wear them.
- 20:45It's fine. I just I can't.
- 20:47Oh, Morgan's barely younger than me.
- 20:49She's 31, I'm 33. I can't imagine being so angry
- 20:54at this point over an item of clothing that I have to make a
- 20:56whole podcast episode about it. Like this feels like something I
- 20:59might have said when I was an insecure 14 year old, but now,
- 21:03now I'm older, it's just there's so many more important things in
- 21:06the world to spend your time thinking about, you know?
- 21:09I just anyway. OK.
- 21:14I agree they are disgusting. Like okay and disgusting Let.
- 21:19Me set this. Up for you.
- 21:20Yeah. No, I was about to say like
- 21:21context, so. I was on a mission to find a
- 21:27certain type of gene I wanted. Just like at first, honestly it
- 21:32was really confusing because I wasn't sure what I wanted
- 21:34because it was a mixture of what I wanted and what my husband
- 21:37wanted. Because he called the police,
- 21:39her husband has an opinion on the jeans she wears.
- 21:43It's quite concerning to me that I'm making fun of critics who
- 21:46are concerned that Paul is controlling about what Morgan
- 21:48wears. But seriously, I just, I can't
- 21:51deal with this. The fact that he has a say of
- 21:53what she wears is concerning. And again, I feel too old for
- 21:56this nonsense. I really do.
- 21:58I can't imagine ever taking a man's opinion into account when
- 22:01deciding what to wear at this point.
- 22:03I can't really imagine taking anyone else's opinion into
- 22:05account when I decide what to wear at all.
- 22:07Really. Like OK, here's a story for you.
- 22:09And I have this skirt I really loved.
- 22:11It's like a black skirt and kind of like mid length and it's got
- 22:15these little ruffles on it. And then the whole skirt is
- 22:17covered in this like gorgeous plant design, like a drawn
- 22:21plant, like a botanical drawing of a plant.
- 22:23There we go. And I it's one of my favourite
- 22:26skirts and I love it. And a few years back I had a
- 22:28neighbour who told me to my. Face it.
- 22:30Was one of the most hideous things she'd ever seen.
- 22:32And I was like, wow, well, that's rude.
- 22:35And I feel like if I'd been as like insecure as maybe someone
- 22:39like Morgan, I'd have probably never worn that skirt again.
- 22:42But as it happens, I still wear it regularly and I love that
- 22:44skirt and it's one of my favourites.
- 22:45And I wore it to a concert the other night at the Albert Hall
- 22:48when like my friends band were playing.
- 22:50And I got so many compliments that night from so many people.
- 22:53They're like, Oh my God, you're out.
- 22:53It's amazing. It looks great.
- 22:55You look great. And I was like, you know what, I
- 22:56feel great. It's one of the first time since
- 22:58I've lost Kyra that I got like dressed up and everything.
- 23:00And I, yeah, it was just what I needed.
- 23:03And I, I felt so confident in what I was wearing and I loved
- 23:06how I looked and everything was great.
- 23:07And I just feel like if I'd taken into account my neighbour
- 23:10opinion all those years ago and like, say, got rid of that
- 23:12skirt, I wouldn't have had that moment in the same way.
- 23:14I wouldn't have been like, yeah, you know what?
- 23:16I feel really good about myself. And then other people wouldn't
- 23:18have lied to. It's just my point is we don't
- 23:21need to listen to other people, whether it's your husband or a
- 23:23neighbour or a friend or whatever.
- 23:24Just like, wear what you want. Wear what makes you feel good.
- 23:28You know, just dress for yourself and stop judging what
- 23:32the people wear and you're going to be so much more comfortable
- 23:35and confident in life. Yeah, no.
- 23:40So. Anywho.
- 23:42I was looking for some high waisted jeans to love it.
- 23:46We're a little more tapered down at the leg I walk.
- 23:49In not like bell bottom. Not bell bottom.
- 23:51I have some cute bell bottoms. Like I'm not against bell
- 23:54bottoms. No, but like you wanted it more.
- 23:55Straight, yes, yeah, yeah, yes. Or even like, I didn't
- 23:58necessarily want skinny jeans. Yeah, but like, yeah, straight,
- 24:03but maybe. Literally what I said, yes.
- 24:06But a little tighter than straight.
- 24:07OK, but but. This is such nonsense, but also
- 24:11based on what you've said before, shouldn't skinny jeans
- 24:15be a sin? Are they not immodest?
- 24:17What if a man sexualises your skinny legs and skinny legs,
- 24:22your skinny jeans legs and sexualises you?
- 24:26What if what if that? I just know consistency.
- 24:30I'm tired, I just don't care anymore.
- 24:32This is nonsense. They talk absolute nonsense.
- 24:35That's my main takeaway today in this short video.
- 24:38Then I go into Pacsun. That was a huge mistake going
- 24:42into freaking Pacsun. I walk in and literally on both
- 24:46men and women's. I was obviously looking for
- 24:48women's but I just thought I'll look at the men's too.
- 24:52Wait wait wait. More hypocrisy.
- 24:54So you looked in the men's section for men's jeans?
- 24:57So you, Morgan, would be OK wearing men's jeans.
- 25:01But is that not cross dressing? Is that not sinful?
- 25:05You are so quick to call out trans people, drag Queens, just
- 25:09men who wear skirts and dresses in general for fun, but you are
- 25:12fine with being a cisgender woman wearing men's jeans?
- 25:16Does that not make you a massive hypocrite?
- 25:18Of course it does. Anyway, she's mad because she
- 25:21went into three shops and none of them had the style of jeans
- 25:23she wanted. And I'm like, did you not think
- 25:25to maybe just do like a Google search before you left the house
- 25:28and be like, where currently sells this style or where can I
- 25:31buy this online? Or, or look, you know, if you
- 25:34know that the style you want isn't currently like in fashion
- 25:36and readily available, then go look in vintage shops and second
- 25:39hand shops and charity shops, right?
- 25:41I don't know. We live in a world where you can
- 25:43find pretty much whatever you want online in a matter of
- 25:45minutes. I don't see why this had to be a
- 25:47several long minute topic for a podcast.
- 25:50I don't see why I'm even talking about it now.
- 25:52Why am I wasting my time? I'm.
- 25:54Gonna have to go back. I could have put both of my kids
- 25:57in one of these each leg and walked around with them hidden
- 26:01in my legs, but but it was disgusting.
- 26:05It was disgusting. And I was like, what?
- 26:07People are wearing these? Like I don't think I've ever
- 26:10seen anyone in real life wear a pair of those pants.
- 26:12So why are they selling them? No really though.
- 26:15But no, like it is disgusting and I'm just like, OK, there is
- 26:19no way there's enough people in this world, in this country, let
- 26:23alone that are looking for jeans like this at Pacsun.
- 26:26Well, clearly people are wearing them.
- 26:28Clearly people are liking them. Clearly there's a demand for
- 26:30them. That doesn't give you a right to
- 26:32call them disgusting. That's just rude and
- 26:34unnecessary. Yeah.
- 26:36So I literally had to go online to find a pair and then guess
- 26:41what? I walk out one day and I'm a
- 26:42pair of jeans that I own and Paul goes, but I love those
- 26:46jeans. Oh my Lord.
- 26:48I was like, what? I thought you didn't like any of
- 26:50the jeans that I own. And he was like, no, those are
- 26:52great. When did you get those?
- 26:53I was like, I've had them for like 12 years bro I love.
- 26:55It when a husband pays attention.
- 26:57We love it. Sometimes he pays too much
- 26:59attention and then not enough and so any who I.
- 27:02Thought so. Next time he wants like a
- 27:04specific kind of clothing, you have to go through your closet.
- 27:07I'm going to go try on my own pants first.
- 27:10Made this kind of relationship never find me then there's just
- 27:14a bunch of stuff about American clothing brands that I don't
- 27:16really know about. I can't comment on them.
- 27:18I've never shopped any of these. I know Levi's, I know that's a
- 27:21brand. I do own one pair of Levi jeans.
- 27:24And then they started smelling like really chemically after a
- 27:28while. They're a bit gross.
- 27:30So yeah, not fun of that. Anyway.
- 27:33Then they start complaining and body shaming people who wear low
- 27:35res jeans. And again, can we just not?
- 27:38It's cruel, it's rude, it's unnecessary.
- 27:41It's really gonna be mature. Like please grow up.
- 27:43No, I would agree. I'm like, why would you want
- 27:46that? No, to me what it is is it feels
- 27:50uncomfortable. Like looking at it I feel
- 27:52uncomfortable because all I want to do.
- 27:54Like your torso is abnormally longwell.
- 27:56And I just like, want to like pull them up for you, you know,
- 28:00get you by your wrenches and pull you up because it's just
- 28:03like just, and I'm sorry, I don't own any panties that are
- 28:08gonna show all of my underwear. My eye rides.
- 28:12I know they're trying to make a joke out of this again but can
- 28:15we just not with the body shaming and judging us please?
- 28:18Ladies, we need you all to comment below and let us know
- 28:21your take on low rise jeans. Are you for or against them?
- 28:24And if you're for them, you need.
- 28:26To really explain yourself. Explain yourself and let us know
- 28:29if you've had children 'cause I want to.
- 28:31Meet the woman. Woman.
- 28:32Who has kids? I mean, if you're Hailey Bieber,
- 28:35OK. Oh sure, go ahead, wear your low
- 28:37rise jeans. But.
- 28:39Also, don't like don't brag. But yeah, like, you know.
- 28:41Like that's not attractive. That's.
- 28:42Just rude. There are so many things that
- 28:46annoys about me, like the idea that if you have a different
- 28:49opinion to them, then you're not allowed to share it because
- 28:50you're bragging. The idea that you can only wear
- 28:52certain clothes if you have a certain body type.
- 28:54The idea that a different body type existing is rude and
- 28:58bragging. It's all unhealthy and it's all
- 29:00judgmental. And that's pretty much where the
- 29:02podcast ends. And the last thing I want to
- 29:04speak about today, I know so shorter than my other videos.
- 29:06I just, I don't have a huge amount to say about this
- 29:09particular episode, but I wanted to cover all of them.
- 29:11So this is just a quick video, like think of this as like a
- 29:15bonus video on the main channel. I do find like so much of what
- 29:18they said though, and this is just me going off script for a
- 29:20minute. It's really damn dangerous.
- 29:22This whole heavy focus on counting calories and losing
- 29:26weight. And I'm locking in to get rid of
- 29:28this many pounds and lose this and do this and do this.
- 29:31And like, you know, I need to get my body back for this.
- 29:33So my husband likes it. My husband needs this and he
- 29:35wants this. Otherwise he'll look at the
- 29:36girls and I need to keep up with this and this and this just
- 29:39feels very unhealthy like, and I can see why that kind of talk
- 29:43would be really, really triggering for people who've had
- 29:46food or body image issues before.
- 29:48And that's just what worries me. They normalise like this weight
- 29:52loss ideation so much. They, I think especially with
- 29:56Morgan's health issues that she refuses to get tested for and
- 29:59therefore refuses to get any treatment for, it's scary the
- 30:02damage she could be potentially doing to her body and the way
- 30:05she's just normalising that. Like, I'm all for healthy
- 30:07lifestyles and healthy eating and being fit and healthy.
- 30:11But when there's such a heavy focus on like the numbers behind
- 30:14it all and having to look a certain way and be a certain way
- 30:16and how there's only one proper good body type, I just, I find
- 30:21it so worrying. Especially when, like I say, the
- 30:24tone of their podcast feels like not so much the content, but the
- 30:28tone feels like it's really aimed at teenagers and young
- 30:30girls, if they're hearing this being like, oh, well, I need to
- 30:33lose this many pounds and I need to do this and I need to be this
- 30:36way and I need to have this body type.
- 30:37And if my tummy does this, then it's wrong because Morgan and
- 30:41Morgan and Carl say it's wrong. So this is like, it worries me
- 30:45what young kids are taking away and internalising when they hear
- 30:49this sort of thing. And yeah, that's just something
- 30:53that I'm not not really OK with. But anyway, this is where I want
- 30:58to hand it over to you guys because some of you maybe have
- 31:00more experience with this than me.
- 31:01And maybe you can comment on this a little bit better than I
- 31:04can. So please let me know down in
- 31:06the comments what you thought of this.
- 31:08And I am going to go and record my actually, I think I'm going
- 31:12to do the rest of the yesteryear review video now, which is going
- 31:15to be good. I don't know what order you're
- 31:16going to see this, but it's been a busy week.
- 31:18Like I said, I've written 5 scripts, two of the Morgan
- 31:21podcast response, a yesteryear review, a review of a horror
- 31:25book, and a review of a pretty big scary issue with men online.
- 31:31So yeah, I'm going to keep keep filming what I can tonight.
- 31:35And anyway, thank you for watching.
- 31:37I appreciate you guys a lot and this video was shorter than
- 31:39usual, but thank you for sticking with me.
- 31:41If you would like to help support me and my channel, I do
- 31:43have a Patreon. I have channel memberships.
- 31:45I also have Mitch available or you can hand them over to my
- 31:47website and get one of my photography or art prints from
- 31:51my web store. And I also have a couple of
- 31:53books available and Reflections on Healing, which is a little
- 31:56short poetry book and Outside, which is a big chunky 300 page
- 32:00hardback filled with photography, paintings, poetry,
- 32:03and short essays. And it's a little bit of
- 32:05everything. They're both available as
- 32:07physical copies or ebooks, and if you buy the physical copy of
- 32:10Outside, you get a download link to and a code to get a free copy
- 32:14of the audio book version as well, if that's something you're
- 32:17interested in. But yeah, for now, thank you for
- 32:20watching and thank you for supporting me.
- 32:22And if you'd like to see what I'm up to on a day-to-day basis
