- 0:05Speaker 1: It is official. My daughter is on my you know
- 0:09Speaker 1: what list.
- 0:11Speaker 2: You can't say that, why, I mean, I guess she's
- 0:16Speaker 2: not here yet to hear it.
- 0:18Speaker 3: That's right.
- 0:19Speaker 1: No, if I had my druthers, I've said this privately
- 0:22Speaker 1: to Angie off the air a million times.
- 0:24Speaker 3: But if I could choose.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I would love for baby G to be born on
- 0:29Speaker 1: like a Friday or a Saturday. It would be ideal
- 0:33Speaker 1: to not have to use two of my not being
- 0:37Speaker 1: here days at the hospital. I'm like all of those
- 0:40Speaker 1: days to be allotted at home with Mom and Baby
- 0:44Speaker 1: G when she arrives. But you know, if she arrives
- 0:47Speaker 1: during the work week, obviously will make do. But if
- 0:49Speaker 1: she could really get prepped for a late night today
- 0:53Speaker 1: or tomorrow, yeah, that would be listening to dad already,
- 0:58Speaker 1: and that would be wonderful. And Angie and I talked
- 1:01Speaker 1: about this yesterday and I wanted to bring it to
- 1:03Speaker 1: you here because I have been joking with Angie that
- 1:05Speaker 1: I would love for baby G to look like me
- 1:08Speaker 1: for like a month, just that first month, so I
- 1:12Speaker 1: can get just a tiny little bit of stardom with
- 1:15Speaker 1: this baby, because right now Mom and baby get all
- 1:18Speaker 1: of it.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Yeah, they should.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Really hope, and I can and and you know what,
- 1:22Speaker 1: You're right, But I'm really hoping when she's here, I.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Get just that tiny little bit of an.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Ego boost that yeah, ah, this baby baby looks like you. Yeah,
- 1:31Speaker 1: unless it comes out looking real goofy, looking like some
- 1:33Speaker 1: babies do.
- 1:34Speaker 3: But then you want her to eventually look more like mom.
- 1:38Speaker 1: That would be great.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Mom is gorgeous.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Yes, Mom's very pretty, so that would be great.
- 1:42Speaker 2: I'm sure your guys as jeans have combined to make
- 1:46Speaker 2: a very gorgeous.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Her jeans are strong. Her older sister, her mother, and
- 1:53Speaker 1: her all looks so much alike. Now, Corey is a
- 1:56Speaker 1: little bit of a combo of her mother and dad.
- 1:58Speaker 1: But her mom, her older sister, and her I mean,
- 2:02Speaker 1: at one point, I think they probably were all identical twins.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Oh that's so funny.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Yeah, and then there saw her brother. Younger brother looks
- 2:09Speaker 1: exactly like dad. So they got real strong jeans over
- 2:12Speaker 1: on that side of the thing. And if you saw
- 2:14Speaker 1: me and my older brother and sister walking down the street,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I don't even think you'd think I was a part
- 2:18Speaker 1: of the family. They look they look alike. I look
- 2:21Speaker 1: like they found me.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Are you sure they did have find you.
- 2:24Speaker 1: My dad does make the joke about getting me at
- 2:26Speaker 1: the police station on December fifth, which is that's his favorite,
- 2:30Speaker 1: like Thanksgiving joke.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I'm one of four kids, and my sister and I look,
- 2:36Speaker 2: I mean nothing alike. She looks exactly like my mother,
- 2:41Speaker 2: so it's like she's my mom's me and me. They
- 2:42Speaker 2: even have the same name, they're both Vivian. And then
- 2:46Speaker 2: my brothers, I think I look like my little brother.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I don't know if you see us all together, I
- 2:52Speaker 2: feel like there's a common thread that maybe you can
- 2:54Speaker 2: tell where all related somehow. Sure, But when it comes
- 2:57Speaker 2: to my own kids, tell you, I'm a dark haired woman,
- 3:03Speaker 2: I mean thick, dark curly hair, and I lived in
- 3:06Speaker 2: Vegas for my whole life, so basically tan year round.
- 3:09Speaker 2: And when I gave birth to my boys seven years apart,
- 3:14Speaker 2: what on earth did they were they doing coming out
- 3:17Speaker 2: with wispy blonde hair, hair, no thing that the barber
- 3:23Speaker 2: was like, we're not sure that it's ever gonna grow
- 3:25Speaker 2: in on the sides, and I'm sorry, like, and they
- 3:28Speaker 2: were very fair skinned.
- 3:29Speaker 3: I looked like the nanny right to my own children, they.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Really looked like just my husband's mini mes Yeah, and
- 3:36Speaker 2: I loathed it because, Bro.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I'm the one who put in the heart right, you
- 3:41Speaker 3: did all the work. I did all the work.
- 3:43Speaker 2: But then a good old thing called puberty happened. And Aiden,
- 3:48Speaker 2: the second he hit puberty, he started to favor my side.
- 3:51Speaker 2: And I think Aidan and I looked so much alike
- 3:54Speaker 2: that there was a year I need to share this
- 3:56Speaker 2: on the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page.
- 3:58Speaker 3: There was a year.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Where for Halloween I was Aiden, oh sure, and we
- 4:02Speaker 2: took a side by side photo and it's like, oh,
- 4:05Speaker 2: that's your carbon copy. But it wasn't that way in
- 4:07Speaker 2: the beginning. William still looks like dad, though I'm fingers
- 4:10Speaker 2: crossed that.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Puberty hits and he looks like well.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I asked this on the Big ninety eight point seven
- 4:15Speaker 1: Facebook page and Julia said, both my kids look like dad.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Oldest still does, but the youngest is starting to look
- 4:21Speaker 1: more like me. The older both kids get, the more
- 4:24Speaker 1: they look like each other. And she also added, and
- 4:28Speaker 1: I kind of like this. This is actually kind of cute,
- 4:30Speaker 1: but she said, I never tell another mom her kids
- 4:32Speaker 1: look like their dad. I always say they look like
- 4:34Speaker 1: their mom.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Yeah. I like that, which is awesome.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Sarah said, Dad the freak insurgent pulled him out, and
- 4:42Speaker 1: all the medical staff in the operating room commented right
- 4:44Speaker 1: away that he looks like Dad from birth. Yeah, he has,
- 4:49Speaker 1: he's gotten older. Everything about him is still from Dad's side,
- 4:53Speaker 1: except the brown eyes. Those are from me. And you
- 4:55Speaker 1: know what they say about people at brown eyes, Angie.
- 4:58Speaker 3: They're full of love, full of it all the.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Way up to here. And then Larissa said, our oldest
- 5:05Speaker 1: is my clone. The nurses couldn't believe how much he
- 5:07Speaker 1: looked like me when he was born. Our second or
- 5:10Speaker 1: youngest is my husband's clone. And then I do want
- 5:14Speaker 1: to end with Liz here. Liz said, Dad for all
- 5:17Speaker 1: of them as babies, which is kind of what I'm hoping.
- 5:20Speaker 1: You don't come out look like me and then you
- 5:22Speaker 1: turn and change later. That'd be great, she said. Now
- 5:25Speaker 1: the first one still looks like Dad, second looks like me.
- 5:30Speaker 3: The third.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I don't even know if I'm this kid's mother. That's
- 5:34Speaker 1: all Dad's recipe. I was just the oven celebrating life's
- 5:43Speaker 1: little victories.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Every morning we practice gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 5:48Speaker 5: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 5:51Speaker 5: basket joke busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Sure your little victories with us at seven.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Oh one two eight oho one ninety eight seven kids.
- 6:00Speaker 3: I also needed to win that day.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Angie, Do you have a little victory for us here today?
- 6:05Speaker 3: At Big Happy Hour? Yesterday at Unhinged Sports Bar.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I got quite a surprise visit from our friend MG Batty.
- 6:15Speaker 2: All right, yeah, she texted me, Oh gosh, maybe we
- 6:19Speaker 2: were It was probably like six fifteen or something and
- 6:21Speaker 2: she texted me and said, hey, are you at Unhinged.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I'm in the neighborhood. Yes, I am at Unhinged, And
- 6:27Speaker 3: so she stopped by. So it was really nice to
- 6:29Speaker 3: catch up with her. I haven't seen her since karaoke.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Karaoke, Yeah, And if I'm being honest, I don't really
- 6:36Speaker 2: remember when we talked about it.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Karaoke.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Oh why not, Angie.
- 6:40Speaker 3: It was just a few drinks in by the time
- 6:43Speaker 3: she show up. Just a couple, huh, A couple. That's
- 6:46Speaker 3: really no.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I remember karaoke pretty well actually, And I remember at
- 6:53Speaker 1: one point Mikey and I kind of laughing, going, I
- 6:55Speaker 1: don't know how much of karaoke and she's gonna remember no.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I really hardly remember any of it.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So it was nice to be nice and soabs and
- 7:03Speaker 2: ketch up with MG.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Batty. So that was my little victory.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And she sends her love to you and she hopes
- 7:10Speaker 2: that baby ge gets here asap.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right, my little victory. Very recently, I discovered
- 7:17Speaker 1: our shop vac or just a vacuum, you know that
- 7:20Speaker 1: you would use most of the time. When I see
- 7:22Speaker 1: a shop back and someone using it, you know, in
- 7:24Speaker 1: a I don't know a place where you get like
- 7:26Speaker 1: your oil change or a mechanic shop, or they're using
- 7:29Speaker 1: it to vacuum out their car. Yeah, well, our shop
- 7:33Speaker 1: back basically went to the garbage, all right. It was junk.
- 7:38Speaker 1: It didn't work, it didn't have great suction. It lost it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: It's the point, right, it had lost its lost for life.
- 7:46Speaker 1: So I threw it in the garbage and I got
- 7:48Speaker 1: a new one, a brand new shop back right at
- 7:51Speaker 1: my arrived at my house yesterday. Let me tell you
- 7:54Speaker 1: my truck had never been more vacuumed than its life.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Of course, you got a test out the new.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Tim Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you are old.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Old, so old, I'll never forget when I asked for
- 8:05Speaker 1: a shop Veack for Christmas once when I was twenty
- 8:08Speaker 1: seven or something like that, and I was jacked, like
- 8:11Speaker 1: I could go buy a vacuum, but my parents are always like,
- 8:14Speaker 1: can you ask us for something we actually like will
- 8:16Speaker 1: get you. Yeah, And I remember asking for a shop back.
- 8:20Speaker 1: So I waited months and months to get this vacuum
- 8:22Speaker 1: and it arrived and I went, wow, I'm eighty.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Yeah truly, was this the one that died? The shop
- 8:29Speaker 3: back in your pad?
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it had a good run.
- 8:31Speaker 3: I had a good run, rip shopback.
- 8:33Speaker 1: It had a good run. And now new shop Vack
- 8:36Speaker 1: and new very very clean dog hair free truck in
- 8:40Speaker 1: the Big ninety eight point seven parking lot. That's right
- 8:44Speaker 1: just in time for baby g on the way Taylor
- 8:46Speaker 1: Swift and we will have the tea coming up right
- 8:49Speaker 1: after that on Big ninety eight point seven. My friend
- 9:00Speaker 1: Harry Styles is on a bit of a run here
- 9:04Speaker 1: at Wembley Stadium. The hist you know, to them, that'd
- 9:07Speaker 1: be there to them, I guess in England that'd be
- 9:09Speaker 1: like their Madison Square gunman, I would assume.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And he's just kind of setting and breaking records left
- 9:15Speaker 1: and right, which is exciting, but it does not come
- 9:19Speaker 1: without slight complications. And by slight complications, I mean Harry
- 9:23Speaker 1: Styles realize his fly was down during the final song
- 9:27Speaker 1: and during his record breaking moments at Webley's.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I would have if I were to be like, that
- 9:33Speaker 3: was a choice. I know what the people want. Yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 3: he should.
- 9:36Speaker 1: At that point, you get ahead of it and you
- 9:37Speaker 1: sell it like it wasn't an accident. Yeah, which just
- 9:40Speaker 1: goes to show even Harry Styles, who is a global superstar,
- 9:47Speaker 1: a pop mega phenomenon, even he walks around with his
- 9:52Speaker 1: zipper down every now and then.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Is that for dudes?
- 9:55Speaker 2: Is that like the biggest Like, oh no, I was
- 9:59Speaker 2: walking around with my fly.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm so sad. I am so guilty of this,
- 10:03Speaker 1: really so guilty of this. I every time I leave
- 10:08Speaker 1: the bathroom here at the Big ninety eight point seven studios, Yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 1: I have to like triple check because I've walked around
- 10:15Speaker 1: for hours in this building zipper down. You've never known it, clearly,
- 10:19Speaker 1: no one trying to help me out.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Yeah, well maybe people just aren't looking down, but I
- 10:24Speaker 2: feel like that's so embarrassed.
- 10:25Speaker 1: No, yeah, I'm super super guilty of this. I don't
- 10:28Speaker 1: know what when this started, Probably when I was, you know,
- 10:31Speaker 1: in my young twenties going out and party in or something. Oh,
- 10:34Speaker 1: just forgetting that portion of what you're supposed to do
- 10:37Speaker 1: when you leave the bathroom. But I'm very, very guilty
- 10:40Speaker 1: of the old zipper down. So I will let you
- 10:42Speaker 1: know right now. If you are listening and hanging out
- 10:44Speaker 1: with us here this morning, I'm big ninety eight point
- 10:46Speaker 1: seven and you see me out in public and I
- 10:48Speaker 1: have my zipper down, do me a solid favor. Do
- 10:51Speaker 1: not just keep it pushing it. Do not let me
- 10:54Speaker 1: collect two hundred in past go. Will you just be like, hey, Glinton,
- 10:58Speaker 1: can you zip your zipper up?
- 11:00Speaker 3: It is?
- 11:01Speaker 1: It happens to me so often that it's just I'm
- 11:03Speaker 1: not embarrassed at all. I'll be like, oh hey, thanks,
- 11:05Speaker 1: good looking out.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Oh wow, yeah, I don't.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I mean, I've had my zipper down a few times
- 11:09Speaker 2: in the life. But for me, I think for a
- 11:12Speaker 2: lot of ladies, the wardrobe malfunction is usually like with
- 11:17Speaker 2: tatas popping out.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yes, seven oh one two, eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Have you had a wardrobe malfunction, Angie, I actually know
- 11:25Speaker 1: one of yours.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yes, So my signature dance move.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I love that this is a signature.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I'm not proud of it, but I just I know myself.
- 11:35Speaker 2: So if I've had a few a lot too many,
- 11:39Speaker 2: I try to bust out the worm on the dance
- 11:42Speaker 2: floor at weddings, specific to weddings, because I don't really
- 11:45Speaker 2: go to places where there's just a dance floor.
- 11:47Speaker 3: At the ready. But I can do the worm. I'm
- 11:50Speaker 3: good at the worm.
- 11:51Speaker 2: That's why it's my signature thing. It's like I can
- 11:53Speaker 2: do the worm. The issue is sometimes I'm not appropriately
- 11:57Speaker 2: dressed to do the worm. But cocktail ANGI doesn't get that, like.
- 12:02Speaker 3: That is a registry of brain power.
- 12:04Speaker 2: So I was at Mikey's daughter's wedding and I like
- 12:10Speaker 2: cleared everybody was dancing whatever.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I cleared the dance floor.
- 12:13Speaker 1: So I leave it to Angie by the way, to
- 12:15Speaker 1: clear the dance floor for her for her thirty seconds.
- 12:19Speaker 2: No, but it was because everybody was doing their like
- 12:21Speaker 2: little dance moves whatever, and I was like I can
- 12:24Speaker 2: get in on this. I part the sea of people
- 12:27Speaker 2: and I go to do the worm, and sure enough,
- 12:31Speaker 2: just both tatas just boo popped out, and that was
- 12:35Speaker 2: really bad. This is like my first time meeting all
- 12:37Speaker 2: of Mikey's family.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and they.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Just they saw the twins just out on the dance floor. I immediately,
- 12:44Speaker 2: you know, got up and covered up. I think the
- 12:46Speaker 2: thing I was most upset about, though, is that I
- 12:48Speaker 2: didn't get to fully properly execute the worm. That's where
- 12:52Speaker 2: I was upset. That's yeah, not that the movies were out.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't. Everybody's seen them.
- 13:00Speaker 1: All right. We do have Ryan on the phone. Ryan,
- 13:02Speaker 1: have you ever had a wardrobe malfunction? Bro?
- 13:05Speaker 5: I was walking down the street with my top button
- 13:07Speaker 5: down because my pants don't fit me anymore, and I
- 13:10Speaker 5: wait to a group of guys knowing someone's lawn, and
- 13:13Speaker 5: my pants fell down. I grabbed them, but everyone saw
- 13:16Speaker 5: my undies and you know, gave him a laugh.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Well, good news, good news, you did have undies on
- 13:21Speaker 1: that day.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Imagine my gosh, at least that at least that actually
- 13:26Speaker 2: seeing you.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Know, I'm gonna win eighty. This little bit undies might
- 13:29Speaker 1: be more embarrassing.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Really, Yeah, you know, what is it?
- 13:32Speaker 2: Because in your head you're picturing them white with kisses
- 13:36Speaker 2: on them.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I always think, yeah, are they got like hearts or something? Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 1: you got the not like manly pair of undies on
- 13:43Speaker 1: that day. Yeah, that I think that'd be worse, to
- 13:47Speaker 1: be honest, and I think we do have Carissa, Carissa,
- 13:50Speaker 1: what about you?
- 13:51Speaker 5: I stood up after a meeting and I realized my
- 13:53Speaker 5: dress had been tucked into my tights the whole time,
- 13:55Speaker 5: and nobody said a word until the ends.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Those aren't good friends. Yeah, yeah, that's rue.
- 14:02Speaker 1: They hate you at your work please seven oh one
- 14:04Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven. Have you ever
- 14:07Speaker 1: had an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction? Kind of like Harry Styles
- 14:10Speaker 1: during a massive, massive moment at Wembley Stadium.
- 14:17Speaker 4: In the World of Rules in Gray Areas, one morning
- 14:19Speaker 4: show dares to ask.
- 14:20Speaker 6: Oh, Noly, you both get guilty.
- 14:22Speaker 3: He's guilty?
- 14:23Speaker 1: Is it legal?
- 14:24Speaker 5: You're guilty of the worst crime of all.
- 14:27Speaker 1: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Allison wrote into us.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Wow, she used her name.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Huh, well, hi gave an Angie.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I'm writing to you in hopes that you read this
- 14:40Speaker 2: on air and my coworker happens to hear it, so
- 14:43Speaker 2: I don't have to actually say anything to her. All right,
- 14:46Speaker 2: there's a lot of pressure for us. So my co
- 14:49Speaker 2: worker is a really nice young woman. She's twenty two
- 14:51Speaker 2: and I'm thirty four. She lives only five minutes from me,
- 14:54Speaker 2: so on the days we work together, she asks for
- 14:57Speaker 2: a ride home, and I always say yes because she
- 14:59Speaker 2: does not have a car yet. But lately it's been
- 15:03Speaker 2: annoying because even when I tell her I have other
- 15:05Speaker 2: places to go after work, she says she's happy to
- 15:09Speaker 2: tag along. But sometimes I'm just lying and I don't
- 15:12Speaker 2: even have anything to do after work. I just don't
- 15:15Speaker 2: feel like driving with her. But I feel guilty because
- 15:19Speaker 2: she does live so close, so I feel like I'm
- 15:21Speaker 2: being mean.
- 15:22Speaker 3: She doesn't have a car.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I think maybe sometimes she can just uber right or
- 15:27Speaker 2: just wait for me to offer.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Am I the problem?
- 15:30Speaker 1: Well, you kind of are the problem because this girl
- 15:32Speaker 1: doesn't have a car, So how would she hear this.
- 15:35Speaker 1: She'd have to be listening on the Big ninety eight
- 15:36Speaker 1: point seven app right now.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Oh that's true.
- 15:40Speaker 1: So I feel like we're just mistake our.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Grievous Well, maybe she's ubering to work. I don't know.
- 15:47Speaker 2: She might be you never, it might be, but oh brother,
- 15:50Speaker 2: what do you think? Seven oh one two, eight oh one,
- 15:53Speaker 2: nine eight seven. I totally understand where Allison is coming from,
- 15:57Speaker 2: because sometimes you just want alone time in.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Your car at especially after work.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Sometimes you have a day at work where you're trying
- 16:04Speaker 2: to drive home in silence and not even Big ninety
- 16:07Speaker 2: eight point seven is.
- 16:08Speaker 1: On, not even we can say, not even we.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Can save you. Sometimes people have those days.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I've never had a day like that.
- 16:17Speaker 2: And then if you gotta take home Sally, I don't
- 16:21Speaker 2: know why I've decided that's the coworker's name. It's like, oh,
- 16:24Speaker 2: how am I supposed to unwind in my car if
- 16:26Speaker 2: I'm also taking her?
- 16:28Speaker 3: So I understand, I get it.
- 16:30Speaker 2: However, she does only live five minutes from you, she
- 16:35Speaker 2: doesn't have a car. It almost feels like if and
- 16:39Speaker 2: also if she doesn't have a car yet, like maybe
- 16:40Speaker 2: she's saving up for a car.
- 16:41Speaker 3: So then having her.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Uber home when you're going home anyway, I feel I
- 16:47Speaker 2: would feel bad, And I think that Allison does feel bad,
- 16:51Speaker 2: but she doesn't want to do it anymore.
- 16:53Speaker 3: I would still just give her the.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Ride five minutes away. No shot on God's Green Earth?
- 16:59Speaker 1: Am I uberring someone every day who's five minutes away.
- 17:02Speaker 1: If you're like five blocks, that's different, Angie. You have
- 17:06Speaker 1: approximately five blocks, right, yeah, five minutes? I mean that's like,
- 17:11Speaker 1: I live past fifty second five minutes, that's like thirty
- 17:14Speaker 1: second that's still forever and a mile away. I'm not
- 17:18Speaker 1: doing that every single day. What I would do what's
- 17:21Speaker 1: our emailer's name, el Alison Allison, Okay, Allison, I would
- 17:24Speaker 1: suggest that the mat bus offers very awesome prices here
- 17:29Speaker 1: ten dollars for a thirty one day unlimited pass, forty
- 17:32Speaker 1: two dollars for the price of adults, twenty seven for
- 17:35Speaker 1: eligible discounted riders, a thirty one day pass forty two bucks.
- 17:39Speaker 7: Okay, that is a good solution. The actually, Angie, you
- 17:43Speaker 7: live very close. Yeah, basically across the street for the
- 17:48Speaker 7: most part. I would be able to grab you every
- 17:50Speaker 7: day and not feel like it's an inconvenience because you're
- 17:52Speaker 7: right there five minutes. Things in Fargo, the farthest away
- 17:57Speaker 7: is fifteen minutes.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's true. I mean, if I were the coworker,
- 18:02Speaker 2: I actually am not someone I hate asking for a
- 18:06Speaker 2: r I low the asking for a ride.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Unless you drive literally past their house on your way. Yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 1: you can't do that every day, realistically, you can't. Okay,
- 18:16Speaker 1: So Allison, to you not the problem, No, not at all.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I don't think Alison that you're a problem. But I
- 18:24Speaker 1: if I were you, I would just keep driving her
- 18:27Speaker 1: until she gets a car, because the day's ever. Yeah,
- 18:31Speaker 1: the day you don't, you're gonna feel guilty or something's
- 18:34Speaker 1: gonna happen, like I don't know it just I have anxiety.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Actually, now that I've read this, what do you think?
- 18:40Speaker 2: Seven oh one two eight oh one to nine eight seven?
- 18:42Speaker 2: We also have this up on the big ninety eight
- 18:44Speaker 2: point seven facebook page.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Tell her to join the bike community.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Oh no, but then you don't want to be sweaty
- 18:50Speaker 3: at work? It summer. It sucks to suck.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Wow, get get yourself, get yourself some wheels, you know?
- 18:57Speaker 1: All right? Seven oh one to eight zero one? No
- 19:00Speaker 1: in eight seven? What would you do in this situation? Problem?
- 19:09Speaker 1: And we do have Jamie on the phone, Jamie, what's up?
- 19:11Speaker 3: Man?
- 19:12Speaker 6: So I did the same thing that she was doing
- 19:15Speaker 6: for five years and I'm just telling her to here,
- 19:20Speaker 6: enabling her not to be an adult.
- 19:24Speaker 4: So let it go, Ja.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I think Jamie has a point here? What is them?
- 19:29Speaker 1: I the problem? Angie the oh man?
- 19:32Speaker 3: He does have such a good point.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Okay, So Alison has been giving a coworker a ride
- 19:36Speaker 2: home every.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Day that they end up working together. She asked for
- 19:41Speaker 3: a ride home because the coworker doesn't have a car.
- 19:43Speaker 2: But it's getting to the point where Alison doesn't feeling
- 19:46Speaker 2: doing it anymore because sometimes she just doesn't feel like it,
- 19:49Speaker 2: and so.
- 19:49Speaker 1: She wants to know and I don't feel like it
- 19:52Speaker 1: is a complete sentence, that's.
- 19:53Speaker 2: True, and so, but she's wondering if she's the problem
- 19:57Speaker 2: for not wanting to give this girl a ride home,
- 20:00Speaker 2: even though they do live just five minutes away from
- 20:02Speaker 2: each other. If I were Alison, but now, Jamie made
- 20:06Speaker 2: a good point. If I were.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Alison, I would be an enabler too. I wouldn't. I
- 20:10Speaker 3: could not say no.
- 20:13Speaker 1: It would depend on the circumstance for me. But generally speaking,
- 20:16Speaker 1: I would say no after a chunk of time. Now,
- 20:19Speaker 1: if there was some my car accident where she was
- 20:22Speaker 1: just in a bad situation, that's wildly different than I
- 20:26Speaker 1: just don't have a car right now, I will say
- 20:29Speaker 1: our texts they're blowing up, very different than Facebook. Oh really,
- 20:35Speaker 1: I think so Nick is with me, he said, His
- 20:38Speaker 1: question is how is this coworker getting to work in
- 20:40Speaker 1: the morning. That's how she can get home at night
- 20:43Speaker 1: not the problem. You were a grown adult. You can
- 20:45Speaker 1: responsibly get yourself to and from work. And here's what
- 20:49Speaker 1: I kind of responded with Nick. We are going back
- 20:51Speaker 1: and forth a little bit, and it does stink. This
- 20:54Speaker 1: is kind of a slap in the face of adulthood.
- 20:56Speaker 1: But what you do when you're twenty two and you
- 20:59Speaker 1: got a job and you have trouble getting to that
- 21:02Speaker 1: job if you don't want to bike or someone's sick
- 21:04Speaker 1: of giving you a ride. You never get your little
- 21:06Speaker 1: five thousand and seven thousand dollars loan. You buy the
- 21:09Speaker 1: car you can afford. The AC will probably stink, the
- 21:13Speaker 1: window won't roll down all the way, the car will
- 21:15Speaker 1: shake when you go over sixty miles an hour, and
- 21:18Speaker 1: you'll have to go fifty five miles an hour to
- 21:20Speaker 1: get AC with the windows down.
- 21:23Speaker 3: This sounds real personal too, oh.
- 21:25Speaker 1: My Chevy cavinlear and let me tell you, but it
- 21:28Speaker 1: will get you to and from work.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Without I'm not saying she's leeching. She's probably not trying
- 21:34Speaker 1: to leach, but without leeching off of someone else.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Okay.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Well, the issue though, is that Allison hasn't told this
- 21:40Speaker 2: to her face to face.
- 21:42Speaker 3: The other thing.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Lori texted us and said, has she asked her to
- 21:46Speaker 2: start contributing to the cost of gas insurance upkeep like
- 21:50Speaker 2: twenty to fifty dollars a week? That would stop the leaching.
- 21:53Speaker 2: She's not the freaking mat bus.
- 21:56Speaker 1: And what did I say? A matt bus passes like
- 21:59Speaker 1: forty bucks a month something.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I think I think for the co worker if she
- 22:05Speaker 2: does ask. If Allison starts to ask, like, hey, do
- 22:08Speaker 2: you think you could kick me some gas mine? You
- 22:09Speaker 2: know whatever, I think maybe that would make her coworker
- 22:12Speaker 2: think like, oh, I'm being a burden. I'm being a burden,
- 22:17Speaker 2: and maybe I shouldn't be asking anymore. Alison, now that
- 22:21Speaker 2: I'm thinking, maybe you are the problem in that. As
- 22:25Speaker 2: much as we are here to help, I think you
- 22:28Speaker 2: are going to have to say something to your coworker
- 22:30Speaker 2: face to face and not just hope that she hears us.
- 22:32Speaker 3: On the way to work.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I do love David on Facebook. He said, as long
- 22:36Speaker 1: as you're picking up your coworker for work, could you
- 22:38Speaker 1: stop by and pick up Angie? She needs a ride
- 22:40Speaker 1: every day too, don't you dropped off every day? But
- 22:44Speaker 1: that's not at all different.
- 22:46Speaker 2: That's because my man is forced to do it. No,
- 22:49Speaker 2: I'm not a great driver. He wants me to come
- 22:51Speaker 2: back safe.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Well, and here's the other half of this, right, So
- 22:54Speaker 1: Misty says I'd still give her a ride. Megan said yes,
- 22:58Speaker 1: if you're thirty four. And I think Meghan does also
- 23:00Speaker 1: kind of have a point. If you're thirty four and
- 23:03Speaker 1: can't have this conversation directly, then you are the problem. Yeah,
- 23:07Speaker 1: that is somewhat true. You're thirty four, You're a doll,
- 23:10Speaker 1: You're a grown woman.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I think Alison is a bit of a people pleaser
- 23:14Speaker 2: and does not like confrontation. And I'm not going to
- 23:16Speaker 2: pretend that at my big age of thirty nine, I
- 23:19Speaker 2: don't have the same issue. But then I guess I
- 23:22Speaker 2: wouldn't like complain about it. I would if I'm deciding
- 23:25Speaker 2: to not say something to the person, then well, well,
- 23:29Speaker 2: well if it isn't the consequences of my.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Actions, Well, what does she do? If Alison has like
- 23:33Speaker 1: the day off, I.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Guess she figures it out.
- 23:37Speaker 2: I think for the co worker is that it's just
- 23:40Speaker 2: more convenient. I guess if she just gets a ride
- 23:43Speaker 2: home versus taking public transit or ubering or whatever it
- 23:46Speaker 2: is that she does when she's not there.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I just I am not one to ask for
- 23:52Speaker 1: rides home. I swear to goodness to you, I will
- 23:54Speaker 1: get a saddle and strap it to Wannah's back before
- 23:59Speaker 1: I would ask someone for a ride home every day.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I don't care if I have to get a what's
- 24:05Speaker 1: it called a toboggan and turn Winona into a snow
- 24:08Speaker 1: sled dog. I don't know if I gotta get roller
- 24:10Speaker 1: blades or in the winter get the ice skates and
- 24:13Speaker 1: hope that the roads are icy. I'm not asking for
- 24:16Speaker 1: a ride every single day.
- 24:17Speaker 3: There are very.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Few times in this year and months that you and
- 24:22Speaker 2: I have been doing this show together where I have
- 24:25Speaker 2: asked you for a ride. But that's because, like I
- 24:30Speaker 2: really am so close, like live close. But even then
- 24:36Speaker 2: I always feel a way asking And then to me
- 24:39Speaker 2: it's like, but it's okay if not, and if you want, I'll.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Just go die in the street. I don't care.
- 24:46Speaker 1: You have reached the month of July, and there is
- 24:50Speaker 1: something very popular that many retail stores jump on board
- 24:53Speaker 1: with this time of the year.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Christmas in July, Angie.
- 25:00Speaker 1: The other day after July fourth broke, my heart shattered,
- 25:05Speaker 1: my will to Live. She had talked about She's ready
- 25:10Speaker 1: for a Halloween.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Yes, I'm getting ready for spooky season. Fourth of July
- 25:15Speaker 2: is out the way. The next big one is Halloween,
- 25:17Speaker 2: so you have to start preparing. But I'm not opposed
- 25:20Speaker 2: to Christmas in July. I also like that, Why.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Because why not? It's halfway to Christmas.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Oh, and Christmas is festive, So let's get a little
- 25:31Speaker 2: sneak peak of Christmas in July and then you know
- 25:35Speaker 2: when it's Christmas time.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Well, I did learn some things about Christmas in July.
- 25:39Speaker 1: The first known Christmas in July celebration happened in nineteen
- 25:44Speaker 1: thirty three, a long time ago, at a girl's summer
- 25:48Speaker 1: camp in North Carolina. Campers they decorated trees, exchange gifts
- 25:52Speaker 1: saying Carol's and they even has had a visit from
- 25:54Speaker 1: Santa in the middle of summer. Now that's nice. This
- 25:57Speaker 1: was the Santa and the Hawaiian shirt trimmed beard. Look
- 26:01Speaker 1: not your winter Santa that you're used to if you're
- 26:03Speaker 1: riding in the car right now. And the phrase became
- 26:06Speaker 1: popular because of a movie, the nineteen forty comedy Christmas
- 26:09Speaker 1: in July, helped make the idea part of American pop culture,
- 26:12Speaker 1: even though the movie really wasn't about celebrating Christmas in July.
- 26:15Speaker 1: That's where Angie differs. Angie will full on celebrate Christmas
- 26:19Speaker 1: in July, which I don't like this.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Hallmark Channel is already releasing Chris. I'm sure the July movies,
- 26:25Speaker 2: and I'm very here for that.
- 26:27Speaker 1: See, I don't like this. So what we just celebrate
- 26:29Speaker 1: things when we're like halfway there?
- 26:32Speaker 3: Yeah? Why not?
- 26:33Speaker 1: Well? Why not?
- 26:34Speaker 3: That's fine? That's festive?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Interesting because I remember about a month ago on June fifth,
- 26:42Speaker 1: my half birthday. I don't remember you gearing up and
- 26:44Speaker 1: getting excited for that. So while we just celebrate things
- 26:47Speaker 1: when we're halfway there, but my birthday I guess skipped.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Okay, is this why you brought this up?
- 26:54Speaker 1: You may have been harboring some anger for a month
- 26:56Speaker 1: and five days.
- 26:57Speaker 2: You've been holding the grudge that you didn't get anything
- 26:59Speaker 2: for your half birthday.
- 27:01Speaker 1: I don't remember getting a gift.
- 27:03Speaker 3: I will get you a gift. Will it count? Now
- 27:06Speaker 3: it's July.
- 27:07Speaker 1: You'll turn it into some like baby gift or Corey
- 27:10Speaker 1: push gift that I get to look at.
- 27:12Speaker 2: If it isn't you knowing my exactly intention.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Are you a fan of Christmas in July? I almost
- 27:19Speaker 1: didn't want to play this music in the background.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I love it.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I felt like I needed to for Angie seven oh
- 27:25Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. Are you
- 27:27Speaker 1: gearing up for Christmas in July or are you waiting
- 27:30Speaker 1: for Labor Day like me?
- 27:32Speaker 2: Christmas in July is what actual Christmas feels like for
- 27:35Speaker 2: the Australians.
- 27:37Speaker 4: That is very true. Starting off the day with something good.
- 27:46Speaker 4: This is Gabe's Good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Just outside Park Rapids, Minnesota. SIT's a giant red barn
- 27:56Speaker 1: that's become so much more than a gift shop. It's
- 27:58Speaker 1: home to more than one one hundred and thirty local artists, makers,
- 28:02Speaker 1: and small businesses all under one roof. From handmade candles
- 28:06Speaker 1: and woodwork to bake goods, artwork, and unique gifts, every
- 28:09Speaker 1: purchase helps support someone living their dreams. But what really
- 28:13Speaker 1: makes this play special is the sense of community. The
- 28:16Speaker 1: Red Barn hosts classes, workshops, seasonal events, and even features
- 28:21Speaker 1: fresh local produce during the summer, giving people a place
- 28:25Speaker 1: to gather, create and support one another. And it's just
- 28:28Speaker 1: a great reminder that when you shop local. You're not
- 28:30Speaker 1: just buying something, You're investing in your neighbors, their families
- 28:33Speaker 1: and the community that they call home.
- 28:36Speaker 3: You might have to check this out. And she the
- 28:37Speaker 3: Red Barn. That sounds really fun.
- 28:40Speaker 2: And yeah, I'm gonna tell Mike you we got a
- 28:42Speaker 2: whole bucket list of things we're trying to do.
- 28:44Speaker 1: That's exactly right. Another fun summer activity adventure for maybe
- 28:48Speaker 1: you and your family to take. And Happy Friday. We
- 28:52Speaker 1: do hope you have a wonderful weekend. If I could
- 28:54Speaker 1: have my choice, please, for the love of God, baby
- 28:59Speaker 1: GB born on Saturday and not Monday. Gosh, that'd be great. Yeah,
- 29:03Speaker 1: just a quick, tiny little update on that. Corey and
- 29:05Speaker 1: I do have an appointment we have to go to today.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I think they schedule like what would it be called
- 29:10Speaker 1: an induction? Yeah, for at some point I would guess
- 29:14Speaker 1: next week or we'll find out when we get there
- 29:16Speaker 1: how that kind of hole works. But you know usually
- 29:18Speaker 1: how that goes, That gets scheduled and then you leave
- 29:20Speaker 1: and then three hours later you're on your way to
- 29:22Speaker 1: the hospital. So yeah, that would be wonderful if she
- 29:25Speaker 1: could be born late today or some anytime tomorrow. I
- 29:28Speaker 1: don't care yeah, and then I wouldn't have to use
- 29:30Speaker 1: any vacation days sitting in a hospital. I could save
- 29:33Speaker 1: those for when we're at home and baby ge gets
- 29:35Speaker 1: to check out all them cool outfits.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I guess manifesting, manifesting, manifesting.
- 29:40Speaker 1: So I hope you have a wonderful weekend. If and
- 29:42Speaker 1: when baby g arrives, you will know very shortly after.
- 29:46Speaker 1: It'll be on Facebook. For anybody who is you know
- 29:49Speaker 1: doesn't want to wait till Monday to try to find out.
- 29:51Speaker 1: I will try to get you an update as soon
- 29:53Speaker 1: as possible, so I may be with you on Monday.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I may not, but if I am here, well, baby Gee,
- 30:00Speaker 1: you really enjoying her house right now is about how
- 30:03Speaker 1: that goes. So have a great weekend. Don't forget broken crayons.
- 30:06Speaker 1: They still color, and the world is full of nice people.
- 30:08Speaker 1: If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
