- 0:04Stand by for the Brewery Underground podcast.
- 0:11In. Nashville's weather wise crafts
- 0:17and brews will need disguise Steven Scott daily the way
- 0:23Brewery Underground night and day.
- 0:36Someone left me unsupervised with this camera, so here I am.
- 0:42However, the good news is I won't be alone.
- 0:45So we're telling your followers that you've started to live
- 0:49video. Great.
- 0:52All right, here we go. I I hear I I tell you there's
- 0:54one. We got one right here.
- 0:57Somebody All right, let's see. All right, invite.
- 1:01There's Mitch. All right, let's see if I can
- 1:03find Nash Sully here. Nobody wants to look at me all
- 1:07by myself, so let's let's get the rest of you on here.
- 1:11Nice, silly. OK, Everybody's been invited.
- 1:16DJI say DJ hello nationally. What's up, buddy?
- 1:26You know, life in the old pass lane.
- 1:29Long time no see. Hello, Rich.
- 1:34Steve. What's the hat, Rich?
- 1:36That's funky dude, you know? Man creature.
- 1:39Yeah, yeah. Comforts Ale Sharpton.
- 1:43Did see that one? Yeah, that's Brad.
- 1:46So funny, I was thinking about that beer last night going I
- 1:48could use another one of those. Yeah.
- 1:51That's so good. I think I've got.
- 1:54I might have one more. I've got one.
- 1:57I've not cracked mine yet, I've still got it.
- 2:00You got to crack it. I'm not.
- 2:02It's not one that can, it's not one that I would recommend
- 2:06holding on to long term because it's 96 and it's relatively
- 2:14thin. So OK, drink it if you can.
- 2:18Yeah, as a matter of fact, I, I meant to break.
- 2:20I actually brought it in. I've got a beer fridge.
- 2:22I brought it in the house, like to be part of my drink that
- 2:27night. I just never got to it's.
- 2:32Bunch of bunch of boomers doing Instagram live boomer.
- 2:37Boomer, we figured it out, I guess.
- 2:42We're just not allowed, I guess. We're just not allowed to go.
- 2:45I mean, we're live right now, but.
- 2:47Live baby. Can initiate a live.
- 2:50I don't know, it says. I was looking it up and there's
- 2:53a minimum requirement in order to, quote UN quote, go live, but
- 2:58we're live right now. So does that mean like you can't
- 3:01initiate it, but you can join? It's really weird.
- 3:04I don't know, it's weird, dude. We try to get, we did a little
- 3:06happy hour last last night, not live, but nobody could invite
- 3:09anybody else like one. I was so weird.
- 3:11Like the search bar was gone, like it was just weird.
- 3:13So I don't know. Zuck needs to get his shit
- 3:15together. Yeah.
- 3:17Technology. Stupid Instagram.
- 3:20What was I? I was going to ask.
- 3:23Hey, Scott, you coming from tailgate?
- 3:26Did you end up going? I did, yeah.
- 3:27I only, I was only there for like an hour and a half or
- 3:29something, but. Yeah, I was.
- 3:33I did get it. I'm expecting you coming in hot
- 3:35like. Well, I'll tell you, I probably
- 3:39would have at least one more. They were, they were thriving,
- 3:42dude, There were, when I went to get my third beer, there were 20
- 3:45people in line. No, no shit.
- 3:47Literally 20 people. But I mean, they blew through
- 3:49the line. They did really good, but it was
- 3:51like, I mean, it's Tuesday night, dollar beer, da da da.
- 3:55There you go. Oh, it's, that's right, that's
- 3:58right. It's it's Mug club night.
- 4:00Yeah, and I hadn't been in a minute, so I think I'm gonna
- 4:01shoot over there. I feel like you can recoup the
- 4:04cost of membership and one of those nights alone just.
- 4:08Why not? Snitch when?
- 4:12What's membership? Is it 65?
- 4:15It's like 60, I think it's like 60 plus tax or something.
- 4:17Yeah, it has 60 plus tax or whatever.
- 4:20And on the last Tuesday of each month, all beers on the wall
- 4:26except barrel aged beers, which there haven't been any recently,
- 4:29all barrel aged beers, all non barrel aged beers are a dollar.
- 4:34Yeah, we figured, we determined the price difference between
- 4:38what it normally costs and the dollar.
- 4:41If you go to three of those mug club nights, so three Tuesdays
- 4:46in a year Mitch and you drink 3 beers, 3 beers, it is paying for
- 4:54itself. The the 12 difference has paid
- 4:57now. Now we all order way more than
- 5:00we should when we go there. So there's like 50 dollars, $30.
- 5:04We are very responsible. Let's just let's just say no
- 5:08matter what, my tab is always the same price if I get a dollar
- 5:12beer or a full price beer 1000% gift.
- 5:16I'm going for a dollar breeze. You think you're getting out
- 5:18there for 6 bucks? No, you're still spending 65
- 5:21somehow. You gotta love it.
- 5:26You're like, you know what? I'm an idiot, really.
- 5:31You're like, you know what? These beers are so cheap, let's
- 5:33order a pizza. That's right.
- 5:36And it is $30 pizza. It's.
- 5:38Great. It's $30 pizza.
- 5:41Yeah, I think there was that. There was that time I got a
- 5:44pizza and Scott's like, I don't think you're going to eat that
- 5:46whole thing. And I'm like, I'm going to try
- 5:48to eat this. Whole I'm going to.
- 5:49Try. I may have gotten through it, I
- 5:51can't remember. Yeah, they do have really great
- 5:54and that's the other thing too, like and not necessarily mud
- 5:56club, but like that's Tuesdays with the with the mud club
- 6:00Wednesdays they have half off pizza anyway.
- 6:02That's a, that's a good, I mean, that's a good thing that you're
- 6:06paying the full price now you're still 65 bucks to.
- 6:08Yeah, I was going to say I if you, if you go, I guess now you
- 6:14could go during, you could go on Tuesdays because I think is it
- 6:19all day Tuesday during the last day of the month is Mud Club.
- 6:23Yeah, because during lunch from like 11:00 to 1:00, it's like
- 6:26$10 pizzas. I can get a small cheese or
- 6:28pepper and beets for like 9 bucks or something like.
- 6:31That take a PTO day and go there like.
- 6:34Takes off to go. To, or at least work from work
- 6:41remotely up until lunchtime and then just cut out.
- 6:44Yeah. They're unlocking the doors
- 6:46these first in line. Knock, knock, let me in
- 6:50breakfast. I skipped breakfast just for
- 6:53this. Are we, are we going on Saturday
- 6:58to see Mitch? No.
- 6:59Next Saturday. Next Saturday the 27th.
- 7:03Yeah. What's whatever you guys want to
- 7:06do is fine. Scott, I think it was you I
- 7:08mentioned. You have to be back that night.
- 7:10I'm I'm. Well, yeah, we just, we just
- 7:13could be we have a thing the next day.
- 7:14So good night. It's just as long as we get
- 7:16back. That's Yeah, I suppose you like
- 7:19staying the night. We'll get back.
- 7:20We'll get back. Like staying the night would be
- 7:23an option, but it's like we'd have to pop up and get back and
- 7:25then prepare for the thing we got to do.
- 7:27So it's the preparation. I mean, Chattanooga Mitch, what?
- 7:31It's not even. Is it 2 hours?
- 7:35Close to it, yeah. It depends on traffic really.
- 7:38Yeah, yeah. I've gotten there.
- 7:41I've got the Chattanooga from my house on a weekend, like a
- 7:43Saturday, hour and 45 maybe, yeah.
- 7:47You're driving Well, I guess you're driving then we're.
- 7:50Also, we're also planning on whether or not you guys want to
- 7:53now, if you guys want a carpool, that's fine because I'm, I'm
- 7:56definitely coming back Saturday night.
- 7:57And so I don't know what kind of I think Scott, you might have, I
- 8:01know you have a Rogue also, but they get pretty good gas mileage
- 8:04unless you've got some. I don't driving at all.
- 8:06But regardless, I'm stopping a common John along the way.
- 8:11I think the plan is, yeah, I may even like, because I probably
- 8:15come by scoop up Steve, I just come by scoop up you too.
- 8:17You guys are not far down from each other.
- 8:19And then we just keep keep getting head to count, head to
- 8:22Manchester. I don't work.
- 8:23When in when in Manchester, it's either Bonnaroo or Common John.
- 8:29That's right, the. Biscuit and the beer.
- 8:31Past weekend we'd be waiting in traffic trying to get through
- 8:34all that. Oh.
- 8:36And beer. Hey, hello, everybody that's
- 8:39joined and, and it's peeking in, it's up everybody into our you
- 8:47get into our closet. Mitch, what do you got there?
- 8:49I've got AI guess it's a special beer.
- 8:52I can't look at untapped right now because I'm on my phone but
- 8:56the I've got a The Lost Abbey Angel share.
- 9:00Is that the 2011 Mitch? Yeah.
- 9:04How's that holding up? So far it's pretty damn good,
- 9:08no? It's.
- 9:10About the car, definitely viscous, but it it's got some
- 9:15good like oakiness to it and everything it's.
- 9:18No. Not syrup, it's still pretty
- 9:22lightweight, a little bit of bitterness to it, very nice. 815
- 9:29years. You know, yeah, maybe I
- 9:32shouldn't say lightweight, but you know, it's not like a heavy
- 9:37stout or anything. It's very, very tasty.
- 9:41The Lost Abbey's Angel Share Ale you.
- 9:47Should definitely check, huh? You should definitely check that
- 9:50in on tap because people are going to be like where the fuck
- 9:52did you get that? That's true. 12 1/2 percent.
- 9:57Oh, that's all. Yeah, that's all.
- 10:00Is that all? That's all.
- 10:03Yeah. It's got a average of 4.2 on
- 10:06untapped. That's pretty high marks.
- 10:09Yeah, this one's, it's got a pretty good story to it, the
- 10:15Angel share. It's a overtime whiskey's
- 10:20whiskey that is lost to evaporation is referred to the
- 10:23loss of spirits as the Angel share.
- 10:26And each time barrel a barrel is filled, the measure of the
- 10:30liquid season to the oak and is lost forever.
- 10:33And then that's what this guy aged and they carry on the name
- 10:36with it. Pretty cool.
- 10:39You got lost in from your. Bottle.
- 10:41Yes. Now it's getting lost inside me.
- 10:44Yeah, it is. You think it still tastes like
- 10:48you think it's still, I mean, obviously they be beating Gono,
- 10:51but it still tastes. Like a 12, it's definitely got
- 10:54that sweeter note to it where you know, that's alcohol.
- 10:58So it's got a little bit of that, some vanilla to it.
- 11:03It's, I think it, if I was to guess, I would have been like at
- 11:06least a 10/5 or something like the Saint Bernardis.
- 11:10That's how it kind of how weighty it feels on my palate.
- 11:13But it's still got a little bit of sweating just from the sugars
- 11:18or whatever from that oakiness. And it's really, it's a solid 1.
- 11:22I wish they had more of these these.
- 11:25This is a nice find. Not bad, you just bought the one
- 11:28in 2011. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:35Holy crap, yeah. I just noticed they call it malt
- 11:40beverage and oak barrels. I was like, hold on.
- 11:48It's it's legit. It still sounds.
- 11:49Legit, it's great. It tastes really good.
- 11:52That's awesome. That's great.
- 11:56Stevie Flash something up there on the screen.
- 11:58What was that? Oh yeah.
- 11:59How would I get the Marie Underground podcast?
- 12:05Here's what this is. And I had to pull it up so I
- 12:08could get the nails right. This is a burial zoo collab, the
- 12:13fabrication of the most diabolical empire.
- 12:18Double New England. Hazy up.
- 12:20Yeah. Nice, so the label's got the
- 12:22Nashville Horizon on. It even.
- 12:26Better. Yeah.
- 12:29Can you see that? Oh yeah.
- 12:32I think that's the Zool collapse.
- 12:34Isn't that the the the world? What is it?
- 12:37The name of the world? Fair thing, Yeah.
- 12:40Oh, one of the Yeah, one of the one of one of the towers or
- 12:45whatever they call. One of those things the.
- 12:47Needle Space Needles. I love.
- 12:48I always love though their names.
- 12:50The fabrication of a most diabolical empire.
- 12:55Here's the whole back story. There's the when I was at when I
- 12:59was at zoo recently in both locations in Asheville, you walk
- 13:02up to the bar to order a beer and I go, you don't need the
- 13:04whole name, do you? She goes, We prefer you don't we
- 13:08do like the first 3 words. That's kind of it.
- 13:10The funny it. Was funny, I was looking at it
- 13:13last night. So like I knew I had a burial
- 13:15zoo clap and I'm looking and try to look it up and I'm going, oh,
- 13:18you know, yeah. But yeah, it's got, it's got
- 13:21some little Batman on there too, for, you know, downtown.
- 13:25D Building. All that, yeah, it's got the
- 13:27Batman on all that. Yeah, I just cracked it open.
- 13:30I haven't even had it yet so it's like.
- 13:34Good time, hopefully a high rating.
- 13:36Should be it's a burial and zoo collab.
- 13:39It's going to be a high rating. It better be if it's not that,
- 13:43I'm out. I'm out of the business.
- 13:44I'm. Never drinking beer. 8.2% double
- 13:46New England hazy. So yeah, yeah, this is
- 13:50fantastic. I'm going to go next and then
- 13:54we're going to then we're going to get to Rich and then we're
- 13:56going to get to the point of this thing.
- 13:59There's no point of this thing, the whole there's a.
- 14:00Point. There's a point and this has
- 14:02been coming a long time and we're really excited about it.
- 14:05Too long. So I actually stopped.
- 14:07So Main Street, Aaron got some new dreckers over there and
- 14:13what's cool, So this one's called It's Just Smol.
- 14:17And there's two of them. This one is passion fruit orange
- 14:20guava and I got another one and it's an smol little fruit sour
- 14:27blue razz. And what's cool about these cans
- 14:29for 12 ouncers? Oh nice.
- 14:32Yeah, well, that's cool. You know that.
- 14:33Sierra Nevada pills that comes out that little skinny, that's
- 14:36an 8 ouncer. This is that same skinniness,
- 14:39but it's a little taller, so it's a 12 ounce.
- 14:40It's really cool. It's like, I don't know, it's
- 14:44badass, Yeah. I love the.
- 14:47He dropped some other. He had some other half that was
- 14:49new. I got some of those downstairs.
- 14:51He had some more callus I think too.
- 14:53Talus. I picked up one of those that
- 14:55yeah, they're, they're expensive, but it's not Main
- 14:57Street 12. It's more Talus.
- 14:58Yeah, I also got like a new von Trapp.
- 15:02Von Trapp. Von Trapp.
- 15:04Gorgeous. Yeah, it's a Northern German
- 15:08style pills collab with Berry House Beer Company.
- 15:12There's one of that collab series.
- 15:15They so brand new love what Von Trap is doing.
- 15:17They're breaking a really good beer by the way.
- 15:18You. Know it's funny, I see them out
- 15:20a lot at different places. I haven't had enough Von Trap
- 15:22though. I've got a couple.
- 15:26They're soft. Yeah, my.
- 15:27First, my first von trap was when we all went out to Hopping
- 15:32River North. Oh yeah, that soft opening night
- 15:35and they had a bunch of trap there.
- 15:37Yeah, yeah, I remember that. Those were good.
- 15:40Everything I put out. It's been good, yeah.
- 15:45What's up Matt and Ryan? They're.
- 15:46Readily available around this area too.
- 15:49Yep, and I seem like every time something new comes out like
- 15:52Aaron's got it. Yeah, and he posts too.
- 15:58Like he's everything that he gets out, he posts.
- 16:02And that's, that's kind of like the indicator of like, OK, go
- 16:05down and get. Shout out by the way, to the
- 16:08Sensi Brew dads that are joining us.
- 16:11The boys, Matt and Ryan so. They're actually winning since
- 16:16he brewed ads. They're winning last time I saw.
- 16:19We're not in both place, but you know.
- 16:23Matt Ryan, if you hadn't met, this is Mitch and Rich the phone
- 16:25we had so our our partners in crime here in Nashville.
- 16:28So what's? Happening.
- 16:31They they've listened to a few episodes.
- 16:33I'm sure they've heard you guys on there.
- 16:36And then they turn around. Who knows, Feathers?
- 16:39Who the? Hell is.
- 16:41That was fine until Steve and I popped in like these
- 16:42motherfuckers again. God damn this Mitch, this Mitch
- 16:46and rich guys, man we like. Everywhere.
- 16:50So which one is that? Which one is that, Scott?
- 16:52Which Trekker is that? You said it was the SMOL.
- 16:56Yeah, SMOL is the passion fruit, orange water.
- 16:59What's nice about it? I don't, I don't know much about
- 17:01the series because it's, I mean, they're obviously two of them.
- 17:03It's, you know, Drekker, you know what's usually pretty heavy
- 17:06and sweet. So if this is somewhere in
- 17:07between. OK.
- 17:09It's just a little fruit and sour it's.
- 17:11A fruit and sour. Yeah, but it's not like it's not
- 17:15like really thick and heavy. And I don't know what it looks
- 17:17like because I'm drinking out of a can, but I think the 12 oz is
- 17:19nice. I mean, the other ones came out
- 17:22with, I mean, they had 16 ounces there too of other things.
- 17:25But that's a nice little nice little can.
- 17:27It's good. Sweet.
- 17:28And I do want to say that this beer that I'm having, it is
- 17:31diabolical in a good. You expect to see that in your
- 17:39untapped description. Yeah, it's diabolical.
- 17:42By God, whoever thought the diabolical would be a a
- 17:46compliment? But yeah, no.
- 17:48Yeah. And then they just, they just
- 17:51check in for the lost Abbey. Should be like hey found it.
- 17:55Yeah, right. There it is.
- 17:59I'm worried. I'm just I'm just keep alone.
- 18:01On this thing, it's like, yeah, yeah.
- 18:04That's good. Even nice legs.
- 18:06Yeah. Stevie did good on cleaning the
- 18:10glass. Hell yeah.
- 18:12Good job everybody. No dirty glass clubs, I'm sorry.
- 18:17Make sure you hand wash your glasses boys.
- 18:19Hand wash those glasses. What's up, Radar Brewing
- 18:23Company? Cheers guys.
- 18:25Cheers. The radar, yeah.
- 18:27Hello. Hello.
- 18:28Awesome. OK, so if anybody's paying
- 18:31attention, we've named this little thing we're doing
- 18:34episode. I was going to say episode, but
- 18:35then we're naming this little live thing.
- 18:38It's called Rich's Five Thousandth Unique Beer.
- 18:42If you see it scrolling across, that's what that means.
- 18:46Rich is 5000. And I can, and I can genuinely
- 18:52say that ever since we decided to do kind of like a happy hour
- 18:58or whatever, I have like 6 beers in my fridge that I have not
- 19:03had. You're just stacking them up and
- 19:05I'm just looking at my, my, my. I've got 1-2, three.
- 19:12I've got a couple hot butchers. I've got some other halves.
- 19:15Oh hot. Butcher.
- 19:17I've got a few like Bourbon County Bran Stout variants in
- 19:20there that I haven't haven't had yet, and then my Tavor order
- 19:24shipped last night. It's just like they're just
- 19:25throwing it in my face. You literally went, you told us
- 19:29the other day you said you went to Mr. Brews and they had 4
- 19:31beers on draft you hadn't had and you had to stay away from
- 19:35him. They.
- 19:35Had they had an IPA that I hadn't, had two pilsners that I
- 19:40know Mitch would convince me to drink if he were there with me
- 19:43because it's good. And then I thought, I thought
- 19:49there was going to be, I thought there was a new no crushed that
- 19:54was out. But it was just Raspberry and I
- 19:56had already had it. So I went ahead and got another
- 19:58one anyway because I like no crush.
- 19:59I like. The.
- 20:01Opinion out of the PB and JS like mixtape no crust are well
- 20:06then common. John's is really good too.
- 20:08That's the problem. Like they're all they're all
- 20:10solid. But I was thinking about this
- 20:11last night. They're all different, like I
- 20:13can taste, I can drink each one of them, and I could probably
- 20:17tell you where each one of them came from.
- 20:19I'm not good on the flavors, but like marble crosses, no crust
- 20:23tastes way different from PB and J, right?
- 20:26Which tastes completely different from what was common
- 20:29John's PB and J name. I'm trying to remember.
- 20:33Yeah, I had that one too, and now I can't remember the exact.
- 20:37They're all really good, but yeah, it's.
- 20:39Just it's I was there and I just had to stick with beers that I
- 20:42had already had. There were a couple good ones,
- 20:44don't get me wrong, but it was it was rough.
- 20:47But I checked in one today that brought me to 4999 and I kept
- 20:53going back and just confirming before I hit submit make sure
- 20:57that I didn't like pull that refresh to some more.
- 21:03Why would you do that, Rich? Why would you go back and
- 21:05confirm? Because maybe I've made this
- 21:11mistake before and I thought that may I, I thought I was
- 21:15checking in A5 thousandth beer like a few months ago and I got
- 21:19some friends together. I had my buddy, my buddy brought
- 21:22over an Anchorage stout that was going to be like my 5 thousandth
- 21:25beer and I had it already. I tagged everyone.
- 21:27I went to hit check in and I got no badge and I was like, what's
- 21:30going on? I went and looked back at it,
- 21:334000, 4499, it brought me to 4500.
- 21:39I'd read it wrong this whole time.
- 21:41And I've been planning this get together for like a week.
- 21:44And so yeah, I was, I was pretty pissed.
- 21:46I was like, I blew, I blew my wand on a good beer on a check
- 21:50in with no badge and like no, no rank whatsoever.
- 21:54And so whatever. I was just wanted to be extra
- 21:57safe. But here we are at 4999.
- 22:02I've just. Confirmed.
- 22:03I've got so I am drinking. Actually, believe it or not, I
- 22:06am drinking a. This is a Mortalis and
- 22:10Equilibrium collaboration. It's a triple IPA.
- 22:14Oh nice. Called Lupus.
- 22:18I'm going to butcher this Solitarius.
- 22:21Solitarius Equilibrium brewed it, and then Mortalis brewed
- 22:26their own version of it. I don't know if there's any
- 22:29difference but they're both like extremely similar if not the
- 22:34same from what I can tell in the hot profile between the two,
- 22:40they're both 10% triple IPA New England's so I don't know they
- 22:45they seem like the same beer, just bird at different
- 22:48locations. OK, I agree Cincy brewed ads, I
- 22:52agree. Yeah, equilibrium you've had,
- 22:58you've had a hard time. You've been in purgatory for a
- 23:04minute being at Mr. Brews and not getting beard.
- 23:05Like you could have played that. Like I'm going to drink it and
- 23:08maybe just not check them in and kind of hold out for the.
- 23:11Thing. Man, you were in purgatory.
- 23:13You're like, Nope. I was I was I was trying to get
- 23:16into heaven, Scott. I was good.
- 23:20I was trying to be good. That's the thing.
- 23:22What I what I'll say is I'm sure that I have missed a few along
- 23:27the way. And whether or not this is truly
- 23:29five times my untapped goes back to 2011 is when I joined.
- 23:34It was like version one point O and it was when it was just
- 23:39barely even an app like it was functional, but it was it was
- 23:42definitely an MVP type of, you know, type build.
- 23:46And so there's definitely some I'm, I know I've missed along
- 23:49the way in the 15 years that I've had it, but it does. 5.
- 23:551000 unique check insurance on untapped so that's why.
- 23:58This is the official thing. I mean, that's what it says on
- 24:00the board, that's what it says. So that's what we're going with.
- 24:03So. That's what we're going with.
- 24:04Yep. And you probably missed a couple
- 24:06of check insurance and beer festivals along the way because
- 24:08you're too busy. Yeah.
- 24:10Yeah. And you had one lined up for
- 24:14this that you wanted to get that actually had your name on it it?
- 24:17Yeah, it still hasn't shipped, Scott.
- 24:21I'm looking I'm looking at my Tavor right now and Tavor has
- 24:27you can pre-order beers and then you can wait list beers, right?
- 24:30pre-order means first come first serve.
- 24:34You buy it, they charge your card and then it gets sent to
- 24:38you and then it gets released to the general public.
- 24:41Wait listed beers is like you may get some, I don't know.
- 24:48You can you basically get in line, right?
- 24:50You get in line, they don't charge you until it ships to
- 24:52you. You may or may not ever get it.
- 24:54I don't know. But there's actually a beer from
- 24:57Mill Pond Brewing out in Illinois called Richard, which
- 25:02has to be terrible. And they do release every year
- 25:07and this is a 2026 version. So I I wait listed it like what,
- 25:13two months back? Three months back?
- 25:14Like it's been a while. Like surely I'll get it in.
- 25:17Time nothing and I kept pushing my shipping crate back, you
- 25:21know, another week, another week just thinking, you know like
- 25:23it'll drop, they'll add it to my crate and knowing my luck,
- 25:27they'll open up a brand new crate tomorrow and be like, hey,
- 25:30here's your new first beer in the new crate.
- 25:31Which means now I got to fill it up again so I can get it
- 25:34delivered to me. That's such a problem in it.
- 25:36It's it's such a racket. But I haven't gotten it.
- 25:39I haven't gotten it yet. Yeah.
- 25:43So you had to pivot a little bit for for 5000, so.
- 25:47What do we say? Just doing easy math, 5-5 bucks
- 25:52a beer at 5000 unique beers equals $25,000 spent on beer.
- 25:59And that's not including the 10,000 homestyles I've probably
- 26:04checked in over the course of mine.
- 26:06Right. Or inflation.
- 26:09You have the poor inflation. That's just that's just 25 grand
- 26:13spent on very first time drinking beers.
- 26:17That's incredible, yeah. And Scott, we're not even going
- 26:20to check yours. I think you got 11,000.
- 26:23This is about you. This is just stick to the
- 26:25script. We're not good.
- 26:29Not for another day, we don't. We don't need this head on the
- 26:35where on the airway. No, we're not putting that.
- 26:37I'll pick. I'll pick on.
- 26:39Bitch, then surely this is. About you, my numbers are way
- 26:43low compared to what the actual results are.
- 26:47Right. I mean if they want proof.
- 26:50That's true. Yeah, I feel that way sometimes.
- 26:53Basically going, like I said, you go to beer festivals and go,
- 26:57I'm too busy, I'm too busy drinking.
- 26:59You check all these in, you forget.
- 27:01Then you get home and you're like, OK, I'm going to check
- 27:03this in and three or four days later.
- 27:06Yeah, Mitch doesn't. Mitch doesn't check in all of
- 27:08his beers. I know that because we've been
- 27:11on some pretty decent vendors throughout the day or the
- 27:14weekend or whatever. And yeah, just counts to these
- 27:18the same. Like I just, yeah, I forget.
- 27:22I'll take pictures but then I just won't check them back in
- 27:27the moments. Past.
- 27:28I don't it is. Yep.
- 27:30I got a lot of friends that way too.
- 27:32Like we go to Beer Fest and go to GBF and like they're gung ho.
- 27:35They don't use it all year. Like they're kind of gung ho.
- 27:37I'm gonna fucking clean up. It'll start.
- 27:39Yeah, you know, and they like to brag because they're getting all
- 27:41these badges, right? Hey, Scott, you haven't got a
- 27:43badge in a week. And I got 14 badges for one
- 27:45second. They love that.
- 27:47And then they just, they're like, yeah, it's too much
- 27:49fucking trouble. That's why I was taking it.
- 27:53Was they taking all the pictures at Cabin Fever this year?
- 27:56Because we were going through all the home Brewers and I'm
- 27:59like, not only am I going to post all this later, now I can
- 28:03also check in these later because I'm not checking them in
- 28:05right now. I'm too busy drinking them.
- 28:07But yeah, I was following up later on going, OK, I have to, I
- 28:10have to know the name of that brewery or that home Brewer, the
- 28:15name of the beer. Complicated.
- 28:18This is. Steve, Steve, this is what you
- 28:20do. You, you go.
- 28:22You go and get you a friend that's adamant about checking
- 28:26the beers in. Yeah, Tailwind off of him.
- 28:30Yeah. Exactly.
- 28:31And I feel like we've all done that on this, like on this live,
- 28:34we've all done it like we'll hit after a festival, be like, okay,
- 28:38I've checked mine in. Scott will be like I've checked
- 28:39mine in for anybody who hasn't. Then we can all just go back
- 28:42through and be like, Yep. Go back in.
- 28:44That one. If I'm skinning yours, I'm like,
- 28:47Oh yeah, that's one I missed. Boom.
- 28:49You know, forgot about that one. Or the ones that you're not or
- 28:53the ones that we had that red few and I had it.
- 28:55It's Mr. Bruce. What was that one that
- 28:58Murfreesboro that I checked in. It was, it was a few months ago
- 29:03when we were there and we were trying to figure out was that
- 29:06the right year for it? Because on on tapped, it was
- 29:09the. Good one.
- 29:11I'm trying to think who that was, but it was just kind of
- 29:15funny. I can't remember which beer it
- 29:17was now, but Oh well. If only there was a way you
- 29:22could check. It there's a way?
- 29:25Maybe. Maybe one day they'll come up
- 29:28with that, I thought. It was the celebration, IP
- 29:31celebration. Celebration.
- 29:34Yes, yeah, celebration because there's a whole big dispute
- 29:37about whether or not that was a twenty 26th one or 20251.
- 29:44It's not any of them, it's just regular celebration.
- 29:47So but it's OK, I allowed it. It was OK I.
- 29:50Got allowed it. I think I called you both out
- 29:53and I got it's not a 2020. Six.
- 29:55Well, that's. What?
- 29:56It changed the recipe? Do they?
- 29:59No. No, I had a meeting that day and
- 30:02I think we conferred it. It was the right one.
- 30:05It's the one that was on their, it was the one that was on their
- 30:08list. It's still just celebration.
- 30:11Yeah. Yeah.
- 30:13I think it was you know what? We're taking you back to 4998.
- 30:20Damn it, you're going to need to drink two more.
- 30:22Blew my water again actually. Actually, you know what?
- 30:27I'm going to look this up. I'm pretty sure I did not check
- 30:30it in because I just assumed celebration.
- 30:35You might drink too, man. You might have to drink too, I
- 30:39checked. The worst things right, Mitch?
- 30:45Well, never mind. Nope.
- 30:49I checked in the 20. I checked in the 202510 Mr.
- 30:56Bruce had. Mr. Bruce had listed it as on
- 31:01their site as the 2024 and I went and I was like, there's no
- 31:06way because it's November of 2025 at this point.
- 31:10And so I went to the 2025 and checked it in, but I had already
- 31:15checked it in, so technically never got credit for a new
- 31:18unique beer. So OK, not only did I check in
- 31:21the correct year, but I also checked it in as a duplicate.
- 31:24So no 5000. Your numbers are legit.
- 31:28Your numbers are legit. We may continue with the
- 31:34program. Finance reporting currently.
- 31:39This. Is right up my alley.
- 31:41There was a it was, it was a vetting.
- 31:42There was a vetting system here. There was that.
- 31:45Was close to Richard. We were going to have to shut
- 31:47this whole thing down. Now back to.
- 31:51Richard 5999 Do You Need beer? We keep doing this.
- 31:57Poor rich is like I can't get past this.
- 31:59Fucking number. Damn it. 4th happy hour of 4999
- 32:06Beer. The fucker.
- 32:09Straight 5000 beers in these happy hours.
- 32:11He still can't go. I need to check this in actually
- 32:14OK. So so let's go back to let's go
- 32:17back to your five thousands there, Rich.
- 32:19Let's let's make this is this is the one, huh?
- 32:21This. Is the one.
- 32:22This is officially 5000. It's a mortalis and equilibrium
- 32:28collab and I am giving this rating.
- 32:33I'm giving A5. 55.1. Put in the.
- 32:41Comment section I'm rating this a 5.1.
- 32:45Yeah. That's your name on it.
- 32:47I'm poor now, Steve. I can't do it.
- 32:49I have to do the regular .25 increments.
- 32:51I didn't. I don't have an untapped insider
- 32:54subscription any. No, I was going to say though in
- 32:56your comment you can rate it A5 and in the comments section I'm
- 32:59actually rating this a 5.1. I don't feel like I would give
- 33:04this. I feel like I feel like this
- 33:09beer is. I don't want to say it because I
- 33:14know it's it's. Nobody's listening.
- 33:18This is true? No, I'm saying like we joke.
- 33:23We joke for the same exact things where like you drink this
- 33:26beer and be like, oh, it's an IPA but it's too hoppy.
- 33:28But like the the beer is good for 10% and for Mortalis and
- 33:36Equilibrium, I expected a little bit more complexity like the the
- 33:42hop, the hop profile is good. It's got a really good smooth, I
- 33:47don't want to use the term Milky, but it's like really easy
- 33:49and smooth and fluffy drinking, but there's just not much.
- 33:54Like it's strong, it's sweet and it's kind of hoppy.
- 33:59I expected it to be a little bit hoppier than what it is for the
- 34:02the hop profile that they used, but I am not disappointed in
- 34:06this beer at all. I would drink it a million times
- 34:09over. I'm probably going to give it
- 34:11like a 4.25. OK, that's a good.
- 34:14That's a good. Rating would be what I'm saying,
- 34:16which is a good rating. How about game show there for a
- 34:22second? Good, good one, good one.
- 34:27Rich, if you want to take that one off the board and go get
- 34:29another one. I feel like I should have gone
- 34:33out and got some of those streamers today for the 5000
- 34:36hang it, we're the I don't have any streamers.
- 34:40We should have named our price first before he told us what it
- 34:42was. 4 clubs. Cinthe Brew Dad's 4.
- 34:46Club all right Richard, if I check this period and I don't
- 34:51get the 5000 then I'm. Going to hang on, hang on.
- 34:55There it is. Look at the look at that.
- 35:00It's 00. Epic, epic.
- 35:09Here's to 5000. Cheers to 5000 beers and way
- 35:14more if you're or not way more if you're Scott because he
- 35:17definitely hasn't checked in 5000 beers.
- 35:21About you again, Stick to the script.
- 35:23Stick to the script. Oh.
- 35:29And I got a Better Together badge as well because I'm
- 35:33drinking with the boys tonight. Got the bed.
- 35:35That's right, you know you're on with a bury on the ground.
- 35:39That's right. So.
- 35:41There we go, noise. How's that one work?
- 35:46I think if you're checking in and you're tagging people that
- 35:49you're drinking with, Oh yeah, you get a Better Together badge
- 35:53and I think I'm on. That might be a collab actually.
- 35:58Oh, is it? You think it's a collab beer?
- 36:00I think it is excellent. Oh yeah, you're right.
- 36:04Check in different beers that have been brewed by two or more
- 36:09breweries. Collaboration.
- 36:11Yeah, you're right. Scott is collab.
- 36:13I like the, I like your. I like your response better
- 36:15though. You're that's.
- 36:17More community focused. On right there should be like AI
- 36:21kind of thought a Better Together badge would have been
- 36:23like when you're tagging people like with them while you're
- 36:26drinking but. It's a social app.
- 36:28Yeah, I immediately was thinking that.
- 36:31Right. It should be.
- 36:32Better Together level 53. Yeah, yeah, there should have a
- 36:39badge for it, Yeah. Mitch, I'm sure they do.
- 36:44Surely they would, right? Yep.
- 36:47So are we all drinking beers tonight that we would rank at
- 36:50least a four or? Above.
- 36:51That's a good. Question.
- 36:52I know I am. 4 club. 4 club since you were dad's. 4 club.
- 36:56I know I am. Yeah, while Stabby is definitely
- 37:00part of that 4 club. Sissy brunettes.
- 37:02They used to have a badge for tagging.
- 37:04They might have done away with it.
- 37:05I know it was there because I couldn't wait to get rid of that
- 37:08one because it was getting tagged someone every time, but
- 37:10maybe they got rid of it. Oh, was it tagging like it?
- 37:13It was notifying too often. With that was just tagging.
- 37:16It was like, oh, I get the spec, you know, it was always leveled
- 37:19up like fuck, I can't wait to get can't wait to level out of
- 37:21this one. The other one was I taking
- 37:23pictures. They might not even exist.
- 37:25And I was like, I just started taking pictures of water.
- 37:28I couldn't wait to get rid of that fucking.
- 37:29I couldn't wait to level out on that thing.
- 37:31They it ends at 99, right or? Level hundred 101. 100, yeah.
- 37:39Hey guys, I just know this my rating tonight is going to be
- 37:41diabolical. Diabolical look.
- 37:48Out everybody, it's going to be diabolical.
- 37:51Political. Hell yeah they had diabolical
- 37:56badge. They've done a one of my one of
- 38:00my buddies, Mitch, you know Robert, he's a big like anti hop
- 38:05head. He hates Ipas.
- 38:08He can do pale ale sometimes, which, you know, pales aren't
- 38:13necessarily hoppy all the time they're getting, you know, they
- 38:16can be clean, but IPA is definitely not a thing.
- 38:20And so every time I every time I get you guys know the hopped up
- 38:24badge where it's like beers with an IBU of something or higher.
- 38:28We, we've probably all like leveled out of them already.
- 38:31So we haven't seen them in years.
- 38:33But there was a badge called badge called hopped up, which
- 38:36was any, any beer with like 70 or more Ibus, they'd give you a,
- 38:43you know, a hopped up badge. So every 5 beers you level up.
- 38:46I haven't seen it in years. And I would always be with my
- 38:50buddy Robert whenever I would check it and get one of those
- 38:53badges. So I'd always rub it in his
- 38:55face. Well, one day I didn't know this
- 38:56because I'd never gotten a badge before, but he sent me a
- 39:00screenshot of a hopped down badge, which basically is beers
- 39:06with like an IBU of like 20 or below.
- 39:09Like it's really, you know, your basic pale ales and like your
- 39:12fruit weed ales and all that kind of stuff.
- 39:15So every time he checks in a beer and gets a hot down level
- 39:18badge, to this day I get a screenshot and he always sends
- 39:22it to me. That badge is still in
- 39:26existence. I guess that's.
- 39:28Crazy. Rich, when did you join on tap?
- 39:31What year was it? Steve, I believe it was October
- 39:36of 2011. Many moments ago.
- 39:39Yep, October 3rd, 2011. So 11, almost 6, almost 15 years
- 39:47ago. Years.
- 39:49Ago. Wow.
- 39:50Are you? So when you when you first
- 39:53started doing that, were you consistent in checking in or was
- 39:57it just every once in a while? I feel like I'm I'm like most
- 40:01beer drinkers who get untapped that want to document their
- 40:05journey, not necessarily do it because they're with friends who
- 40:11downloaded and use untapped right.
- 40:13Those guys normally check in a few times and then they forget
- 40:16about it on their phone or uninstall it or whatever.
- 40:19I downloaded it so that I could like you guys, start like.
- 40:25First of all, I wanted to keep a record of what I've had so that
- 40:27I can understand what I like. So that when I went back to the
- 40:31store and I found something, if I've had it and I really enjoyed
- 40:34it, but it was a while back I liked it, I would pick it up
- 40:37again. I'm not, I haven't been one of
- 40:39those guys that's like, oh, I've already had it.
- 40:42I don't want to have it again. If I'm at a place that has a ton
- 40:46of new beers, I will favor trying ones that I have not had
- 40:51before. All right.
- 40:52But just like everybody on this call, like we've been to Mr.
- 40:56Brews and they have a phenomenal beer list.
- 41:01We've probably had 75% of them. Yeah.
- 41:05And so when I can't find something that I haven't had,
- 41:09I'm not just going to be like, oh, they don't have anything.
- 41:12I look for something that I know is good or I'll check my
- 41:15untapped if I've had it to see how I liked it and if I really
- 41:18liked it, I will order that beer.
- 41:20Yeah. So my unique check in count is
- 41:24is 5000 but my actually I haven't refreshed my page since
- 41:29I checked it in it was still shown on the website 4999.
- 41:34I'm about 7000 total check insurance, so multiple
- 41:41duplicates. Yeah.
- 41:42Oh yeah. Ryan just said something.
- 41:45It's really funny and it's and it's 100% true.
- 41:47Untapped is my backup beer brain.
- 41:49It's 1000% sure. Without that, I wouldn't know
- 41:52it. I even had this beer.
- 41:53Ever. He's right.
- 41:56Outside of Bud Light or. Something that way you'll go
- 41:58into a place and you'll go, I think, wait, wait a minute.
- 42:02And because we always want to drink something new, I think all
- 42:05of us on this on here can basically say that we want to
- 42:09drink something new. That's my first.
- 42:12That's my first check. I don't know where I was just
- 42:15recently and I'm going, shoot, I had that.
- 42:17I had that, I had, oh, I had, damn it.
- 42:19OK, now I'm going to get something new on there because
- 42:21I've already had that and you know, I'll get it again if I
- 42:25rank it high. But it's like the point of it.
- 42:28I want to have something new. Steve yeah, when I check.
- 42:33Oh, go ahead, Steve. Will you?
- 42:35Like when you had a beer and you'd be like, oh, that sounds
- 42:38familiar, but I don't know if we've had it before.
- 42:40Like, will you pull up untapped and, like, go look it up and
- 42:44realize you had it like, five years ago?
- 42:47Like, yeah, on a taster flight in Asheville, NC, or something.
- 42:51Yeah, I didn't even know this beer made it out of the city at
- 42:54that point. Or wherever.
- 42:55Yeah, well, we've also talked about this, actually, myself and
- 42:59Scott and Chris Finn, and we've talked about this on podcast
- 43:02episodes and probably with you guys too.
- 43:04Like sometimes it's fun to to go back to a beer you checked in
- 43:07five years ago and maybe you didn't rank it that high to see
- 43:11if maybe because your palate has changed and you now rank it
- 43:15higher. Off the top of my head, I can't
- 43:17think of, I can't think of something off the top of my head
- 43:20right now, but I know there's at least probably 5 or 6 that that
- 43:25over the past year or so I've gone back and I've had again and
- 43:28I've ranked higher and that makes me real feel happy that
- 43:31that makes me really happy about that.
- 43:32Man, I wonder. What style of the beers were
- 43:35they? Yeah, A.
- 43:38Good question. You know what I would have to
- 43:41say? They probably were like the West
- 43:43Coast IPA styles. You just.
- 43:45Yeah, OK, that makes sense. Yeah.
- 43:48Because I got on a, because I got on more of a kick of West
- 43:51Coast Ipas. I hadn't liked them.
- 43:53I didn't like that style. I hadn't really drank them that
- 43:56much. And then when I got on the kick
- 43:57last summer and I was like, all right.
- 43:59And then so the the one that really the one that really comes
- 44:04to mind, of course is Great Lakes, the Midwest hazy.
- 44:08Oh yeah. Or not the hazy, but the Midwest
- 44:11IPA which I had ranked like 2 years prior, maybe like a 3.5 O
- 44:17or something and if I drank it now it'd be a. 4.
- 44:20That beer is way better than a 3.5 to me today.
- 44:23I agree. Yeah, but like 2 years ago,
- 44:25three years ago, it just wasn't my style of beer that I really
- 44:28want to go to for me. I was the same way to a hop
- 44:31slam. Yeah.
- 44:33Ah, that's Mitch. So Mitch, you had checked in Hop
- 44:38slam lower initially? Well, just Ipas in general slam
- 44:45open me up. Yeah, it it the profile was so
- 44:49strong or prevalent or whatever, it just kind of like gave me
- 44:52notice like hop profiles are here, you know, because we don't
- 44:56get Pliny regularly here to really know.
- 44:58But for whatever reason, other Ipas just didn't fit my palate
- 45:04until I just got bombarded with the profile with Hop Slam, and
- 45:09then later Dogfish won 20, which I think was your IPA that got
- 45:14you into it, right, Rich? Yep, 120.
- 45:18It was either. It was definitely 120 and I
- 45:23think. That's crazy to me.
- 45:25Yeah, well, that was the that was the first IPA that I had
- 45:29liked. I had tried my one of my former
- 45:34managers was a big IPA guy and he turned me on to Stone had a
- 45:39beer back in the day. Of course they have Stone
- 45:41Ruination, which is still available today.
- 45:44It's their new recipes. Ruination 2 point O is what they
- 45:47call it. Prior to that, it was just
- 45:49called Stone Ruination. It was an old recipe.
- 45:51And when Ruination hit their ten year anniversary, they came out
- 45:55with Stone Ruined 10, which was double the hot profile with the
- 45:58same ingredients and everything else.
- 46:00And it was like face peeling Poppy.
- 46:04And I remember I was at I was in my house in Hermitage.
- 46:07I was on the phone with him that night, my manager and I was
- 46:10like, I'm about to try this IPA. I've never had an IPA before.
- 46:13And I tried Stone ruin 10. I drank it and I almost threw
- 46:17up. I was like, this beer is if this
- 46:19is what Ipas are like, this is terrible because it is 200 plus
- 46:23Ipus. It's extremely disgusting.
- 46:26Get this away from me. Let let me.
- 46:28I'm never want to have it again. But yeah.
- 46:31And then it wasn't too long after that DJ had introduced me
- 46:34to 120 Minute IPA and I was like, Nope, not doing it.
- 46:38I don't. I've had, I've had big boy Ipas
- 46:42and I don't like them. Like I just, it's just not my
- 46:44thing. But 120 Mitch, you know, is
- 46:47different, right? It's, it's definitely more like,
- 46:51I think it's the higher, it's the 17% ABV.
- 46:54It comes across a sweeter instead of still happier, but
- 46:58it's not as bitter. Yeah.
- 47:00And that's kind of what got me into into Ipas.
- 47:03I was like, OK, so if Ipas are like this, then I'll be OK,
- 47:07which they're not, by the way. They're nowhere close to 120
- 47:11Minute IPA. Right.
- 47:14No, but once you've had what you've had like really, really
- 47:18sweet and really, really hoppy, it's like cigars, right, Mitch?
- 47:21You'll be like, I've had this big boy.
- 47:24So it's like Rhino with his big ring gauge stars.
- 47:27It's like you have the the biggest, the heaviest, the
- 47:29strongest you can think of. And then you go, OK, I'm going
- 47:32to go down a little bit more and find the sweet spot.
- 47:34For me. It's New England hazies, but you
- 47:38know, West coasts. I I love a good West Coast IPA
- 47:42too, which Scott you're right, doesn't exist on Untapped as a
- 47:47style. Couldn't believe it.
- 47:48I that's wild to me. American Ipas is how they
- 47:52classify 8000. Other Ipas?
- 47:55Really. Confusing to me.
- 47:57I had, I had to get clarification from that last
- 48:00year because it's like, wow, I don't understand that either
- 48:03because I'm drinking all these West Coast Ipas, but it's but
- 48:07it's classified as American. But then you have to go in and
- 48:10you have to sit there and decipher what exactly you're
- 48:14getting you're you're rating in is, is this the West Coast IPA
- 48:18or it's an American IPA? Because as you said, the style
- 48:21is actually different. But they don't, they don't, they
- 48:24don't differentiate on on tap. That is really odd.
- 48:29Any other IPA category, it's there.
- 48:31West Coast, isn't it? Makes no fucking sense.
- 48:34Honestly, yeah. Yeah, they break down.
- 48:38They break down all kinds of different styles on, on, on,
- 48:42tapped. I mean, you know, you've got all
- 48:45the, all the a lot, a lot of the other different ones and you
- 48:50just go, OK, why, why are you not having this one sale?
- 48:54Yeah. Weird.
- 48:55It's weird. Loggers.
- 48:57Yeah, they have, you know, they have like 20 different logger
- 48:59sections. But yeah, we can't put a West
- 49:02Coast IPA in there. That doesn't make any sense to
- 49:04me. So just checking in and the beer
- 49:07name itself has West Coast it never.
- 49:09Made me think to. Check the actual style check in.
- 49:13Thank you. Same.
- 49:15It's basically there's an IPA. You know, so the only reason I
- 49:18realized that today was I was literally checking in a beer
- 49:20that didn't exist and untapped today from from Tailgate.
- 49:24And apparently it's the first one I've ever created that was a
- 49:28West Coast IPA. Because I'm like, anyway, what I
- 49:31did is I went back and I checked and it looked at other beers
- 49:35that I know are West Coast style Ipas that have, I've checked in
- 49:37and they're on a tap and they all said American Ipas, every
- 49:40single one of them. And I was like, well, fine.
- 49:42I guess that's the thing. I couldn't believe it.
- 49:44Scott, out of curiosity, which one?
- 49:47What beer is it that you made? I didn't see it come.
- 49:49Across it was a. Pinch of pine.
- 49:52Oh, OK, there it is. Yeah.
- 49:54Yep. How I missed that one was the.
- 49:57Last one, That was the last one I checked in.
- 50:00Yeah, you said. Did you know there isn't a West
- 50:02Coast IPA style? On it blew my mind.
- 50:05I haunted for that thing. I got out of untapped and went
- 50:07back. I attend tapped.
- 50:08I got back out, I feel. Like you didn't like you put
- 50:12the, you put the ABV on it like you did everything.
- 50:16You know, you should go ahead and make a Reddit post about
- 50:19this with a very underground tag and just get some traffic for
- 50:24this discovery because you. Should.
- 50:27Yeah, like I, I bet you like it presented like as a challenge,
- 50:32right? I guarantee you, you think
- 50:34there's a way. If you'd asked me an hour and a
- 50:37half ago if there's a West Coast, I'd be like, yeah, fuck
- 50:40yeah, there is, Yes. Why wouldn't there be?
- 50:43Why stupid? The threat is like just
- 50:46discovered today after however many years.
- 50:48West Coast has been a style that's not listed as not listed
- 50:52identifiable. Check in on untapped and I'm
- 50:55fixing it. Yeah, ask me anything.
- 51:02You can look at the logger category and the AL category and
- 51:05everything else and I'll have all those, but yet we can't have
- 51:10from West Coast IPA that. Doesn't How many untapped
- 51:13monitors do we have? You know, it's, I didn't need
- 51:17one more thing. I didn't need one more thing to
- 51:20do, but I might just have to do it.
- 51:24I've been thinking about it since we all talked to Sean
- 51:26Jones, and I might need to. I might need to get involved.
- 51:29Sean Jones now how many? How many check insurance does he
- 51:32have? And he's approaching 50. 1000.
- 51:35He was over. He was over 50,000 when we
- 51:38talked to him. Yeah.
- 51:40So rich. And tell him that he reached
- 51:435000. He reached 5000, I think in a
- 51:46day, remember. Yeah, I asked him that question.
- 51:48I asked him a question. How many?
- 51:50How many beers Have you ever checked in a day?
- 51:52He was like, I've been 120 or or something like.
- 51:57That he'd probably be like, yeah, congratulations on
- 51:59graduating kindergarten, Rich. He literally, we were sitting
- 52:04there talking to him. I know.
- 52:05We went around like 2 hours. He was literally getting texts
- 52:08from his friends. Like motherfucker, where are
- 52:10you? Yeah, what are you doing?
- 52:12We're out drinking beer. Where are you?
- 52:14Like we cut into his number, I think.
- 52:17I will, I will say when I went to Dark Lord Day this past year,
- 52:22one of one of the buddies that we met, DJ met him while he was
- 52:29drinking beers in New York and they just kind of kept up with
- 52:32each other. They were sending packet beer
- 52:33packages back and forth. He wanted the Nashville stuff
- 52:37and he was sending DJ the New York stuff.
- 52:39And so they kind of kept that relationship.
- 52:41And then when, you know, Dark Lord Day came around this year,
- 52:44he went and met up with us. He's an untapped moderator as
- 52:48well. So we'll, we'll definitely do it
- 52:50offline, not on the happy hour, but there was definitely some
- 52:54things that he had talked about that probably shouldn't be
- 52:58public information, but we had a few too many beers that night.
- 53:01So it kind of came out and he started just kind of like
- 53:04spilling the beans about like the inner workings of Untapped
- 53:08and how things are ranked and things like that.
- 53:10And I was like, that's interesting.
- 53:13And they can, I guess, without giving, they can technically
- 53:16claw back some of your beer counts if they if they find that
- 53:20you're abusing the privilege. So it may not be at 5000 at the
- 53:24end of the night. Who knows, maybe they'll be like
- 53:26you. Know.
- 53:27Doesn't deserve 5000. Let's just take a couple away
- 53:30from them. First of all, we're recognizing
- 53:33you as having 5000, so we. Are that's what matters.
- 53:36That's what matters. If there's a moderator out
- 53:39there, we're not taking shit off the board.
- 53:41Punch them in the face because you can put in.
- 53:43You can literally put in Diet Coke in this motherfucker right
- 53:45now. So I know don't be taking my
- 53:47shit off the board. But that's kind of that's kind
- 53:51of why a lot of the moderators are kind of acting like the way
- 53:54Sean did, right? And it's like, I mean, like
- 53:56every once in a while do it. They're not getting paid to do
- 53:59it, right? They get they get a free
- 54:01untapped insider subscription, but that's it.
- 54:04So and same with this guy. He was just like, yeah, you
- 54:07know, like it's I'm not as active on there as I used to be.
- 54:11They just don't it. There's no incentive anymore.
- 54:14And the way the rules are skewed and bent towards bigger
- 54:16companies and organizations, it's like it's a losing battle.
- 54:21Yeah, it, yeah, it's literally, hey, you're trying to police it,
- 54:24trying to keep the numbers kind of pure, right, Trying to keep
- 54:26them. And then it's like, well, my all
- 54:28my efforts over here are going to waste because I'm not even
- 54:32moving to need I. Yeah.
- 54:35Scott likes the. The check ends are pure.
- 54:38I don't. I haven't.
- 54:39I haven't got this text message lately.
- 54:41A few years ago. It's like, hey, you know that
- 54:44check in on that beer? Yeah.
- 54:46You've been doing a good job. The wrong ones.
- 54:52He's been doing a. Good though want to be pure, I'm
- 54:54like OK. Keeping you honest buddy.
- 54:57I did. I did see you missed one, but
- 54:59not long ago. But I let it go.
- 55:01I did which? One did I miss.
- 55:05It was one of the Saranac ones I gave you.
- 55:09Oh, that's even worse man. Where you're you're checking it.
- 55:12You don't check in a beer that your buddy gave you did.
- 55:15I because I you, you checked in the wrong one.
- 55:19Yep, because you checked. I was like and I know it's, I
- 55:22know it's the wrong one because he checked in one I had had and
- 55:24I gave it to him so. No.
- 55:29I let it go. I let it go.
- 55:31You should have called me, I would have corrected it.
- 55:34It's OK. How long ago was this?
- 55:37Have you been holding on to this for a while?
- 55:39Maybe. What's that?
- 55:40Two months? Maybe when we were talking to
- 55:41Sarah? Can't.
- 55:43Remember it it's. Stuck in my car right here.
- 55:49It wasn't the right one. When Steve approaches 2025
- 55:52hundred, I'm like, you're going to need one more.
- 55:54You know, normally, yeah. Because normally, normally
- 55:57anymore, man, I do. I do drastic research.
- 56:00I'm like, OK, I got to make sure I got everything down here.
- 56:05Yeah, of course. I'm surprised like, like you
- 56:07checked it in. I had, I had it.
- 56:08I'm surprised you didn't be like, you weren't like I've had
- 56:11a beer. You hadn't had.
- 56:12I'm like Steven, I got a variety pack.
- 56:15I it's not the variety pack. Damn it, I must have been in a
- 56:20hurry. I let it go.
- 56:21I let it go. Really.
- 56:23I'll check. There's a there's a few people
- 56:25that I'll look at on on tap and I'm just kind of curious.
- 56:28I'm like that Scott Rich, you know, Stokes, a few other people
- 56:33just like, am I consistent on their ratings?
- 56:36Not necessarily, but if also have you had it, you know?
- 56:40Have you had it? Also, but Matt and Ryan now are
- 56:43going to be, they're going to be checking your check insurance
- 56:45too. He just said open your checking
- 56:48account. Steve's checklist.
- 56:51Make sure he checks them in right Ryan?
- 56:54For the love of God, we got to be accurate.
- 56:58Well, Mad Ryder drinking one beer and you're all sharing one
- 57:00beer and you're checking something else.
- 57:04It doesn't happen you. Can't have fewer check insurance
- 57:07than the guy that's checking in a monster you drink every day.
- 57:11Hey, my defense though, it doesn't happen very often.
- 57:14No, no, it's fine. Look at that Sam Adams summer L
- 57:17Pretty correct, you know. Like that's.
- 57:20That's hard to mess that one up, but you got to be real.
- 57:22You got to be really, really bad to mess up, like checking in in
- 57:26like a Sam out of summer ale. I screwed that one up.
- 57:31The only way you can screw it up is if somebody pushed like a
- 57:332026 or something next. That's true.
- 57:35No, it's like. I knew that was gonna happen.
- 57:39Leave the year alone. So we're gonna have to start
- 57:43sneaking in like QR codes stuck on to other bottles just to make
- 57:48us go check in with that or whenever, Yeah.
- 57:51That's. Good.
- 57:52The other thing too is it if you go somewhere and even like a Mr.
- 57:56Brook anything and it's it's on their menu.
- 57:58If it's on their untapped menu, even if it's wrong, you can't
- 58:03argue against it like, hey, it's on their thing.
- 58:05I'm doing it like so I take. I I I revert back to my 2025
- 58:12celebration ammo when Mr. Bruce had had the 2024 up there.
- 58:17You know what's right? I was like, no.
- 58:20So I went in, I found the 2025, checked it in at Mr. Bruce,
- 58:26purchased at Mr. Bruce, and then I was, I got a text later on
- 58:32that night and it was like, did we have the right one up on the
- 58:34board? I was like Nope.
- 58:38I've told Deep South growlers there recently like that's the
- 58:41wrong beer, like you got the wrong one on the board, It's the
- 58:43wrong thing on the. Board.
- 58:46Yeah, I. Had a Deep South, You had a
- 58:47beard. Deep South growlers the other
- 58:49night that looked really good. The Mill Creek.
- 58:52ESB, yeah, it was the ESB was you doubt how was your rating on
- 58:58that? 4 plus I don't know 4142
- 59:01probably we knew it was coming and I'd had a sample of it when
- 59:05I was there the last time I was there like it actually had left
- 59:10them a can so I. Could try it out.
- 59:12It's out officially now. So yeah, the ESP find that Mill
- 59:16Creek ESP, it is good. I still need to, I, I need to
- 59:21get back on that Mill Creek train because there are turning
- 59:27themselves around, I guess. Are comedies beers?
- 59:30I just had their PB and J recently.
- 59:33They got a PB. And J, now what do they call it,
- 59:35Steve? Yeah.
- 59:38What do they call their PB and JS?
- 59:41I thought look it up. No PB and J.
- 59:45Yeah. Sounds about right, Mitch.
- 59:51Hey channel on tap, Good day from Australia.
- 59:54Cheers mate. Australia check.
- 59:56Yeah, man. Thanks for thanks for joining in
- 59:59man. This is.
- 59:59Awesome. Cheers.
- 1:00:01Cheers, good to see you're not on Smoko and you're here with us
- 1:00:06Drinko. It's a.
- 1:00:10It's the. It's the Chats song, man.
- 1:00:12I don't know. It gets in my head every once in
- 1:00:15a while where they go on smoke. Oh, it's a smoke break.
- 1:00:17Yeah, OK. Yeah, it's by the way, that's
- 1:00:21that's. It's I'm just done sometimes.
- 1:00:24Where it's like you have to be, you have to be in and know in
- 1:00:28order to get some of them. Rich, to answer your question,
- 1:00:31it's the PB and J Sour from Mill Creek.
- 1:00:34OK. Yeah, I think tailgate calls
- 1:00:37theirs snacks, I think because they happen to be experienced or
- 1:00:41something like that. Yeah, the snack series.
- 1:00:45Speaking of tomorrow night, I'll be at tailgate headquarters
- 1:00:51tomorrow night. They're doing a there's a data
- 1:00:55data engineering meet up group where they, they posted
- 1:01:00something out there because I'm in, I'm in finance reporting,
- 1:01:02but I'm a data engineering guy, you know, by, by heart.
- 1:01:06And so a bunch of the data guys are meeting up tomorrow night at
- 1:01:09tailgate headquarters in Nashville.
- 1:01:12And they're going to have a couple of speakers there.
- 1:01:15They're going to be talking about like data in different
- 1:01:19platforms and softwares and stuff like that.
- 1:01:21And they'll just be drinking tailgate beer, eating tailgate
- 1:01:24pizza, and talking ones and zeros.
- 1:01:28Hey man, whatever gets the data in.
- 1:01:30Hey, whatever, floats What? No, I was going to be too much,
- 1:01:36too deep of a cut. Whatever types your code.
- 1:01:41What bitch? Whatever types your code.
- 1:01:45By that point, you'll be at your 5000 what, 10th beer at Mill
- 1:01:49Creek by the time you get there. Or not so.
- 1:01:52That No. You think that I could drink 10
- 1:01:55beer? It took me.
- 1:01:56It took me. How long did it take me?
- 1:01:59When did you? Start the countdown, Scott.
- 1:02:01You're like before it was Dark Lord Day.
- 1:02:03You're like, you're easily going to hit that like 14.
- 1:02:08I think I got to like 12 or 13 shy of 5000.
- 1:02:13Scott was like, well, then next week he'll hit it and it was
- 1:02:16like, no, it was it's been a month.
- 1:02:20Come on, Rich, I'm just giving you some expectations you.
- 1:02:23Know. Your expectation level, but I
- 1:02:26think your expectation level is so.
- 1:02:28You're you're, you're, you're expecting me to hit 5010
- 1:02:32tomorrow. Night.
- 1:02:32I have confidence that you can do it.
- 1:02:35Now my floodgates are open. You're not.
- 1:02:37You've got. Knowing what you've done before,
- 1:02:42I know you can do it. When you look up, well, you're
- 1:02:46like one day you'll be at like 5100 like, well, that was easy,
- 1:02:49you know? It's like the flight gates are.
- 1:02:51Open now. You're not holding back for
- 1:02:52anything. You're not waiting for that 5
- 1:02:54thousandths. Yeah, 5100, like next Wednesday.
- 1:02:58That's true. It's like a week from now,
- 1:03:00Steve. Yeah, it's gotta be like 5100.
- 1:03:04He's. I will say.
- 1:03:06Like look at that. Can't stop him.
- 1:03:11The. Batch.
- 1:03:12Levels, I'm going to look these up because like they get they
- 1:03:15get astronomically stupid. Like the more you go.
- 1:03:20So like, see if I'm looking at badges, drink badges.
- 1:03:27Epic is. 5000 obviously they have one for like when you get
- 1:03:33your your first beer check in there's like 1 and then there's
- 1:03:3725 and then 50 and then 100 and then from 100 it goes to like
- 1:03:43250 right? At that point you're still like
- 1:03:47getting lots of badges as you're checking them in 250, then
- 1:03:51double S to 500 which is a big leap from 2:50 to 500
- 1:03:57considering you used to go from like 10 to 25 to 50 to 100 to
- 1:04:05250. Now you're doubling the 5000 and
- 1:04:08then it goes to 5000 or to 500 to 1000 and then you don't get
- 1:04:14another badge until 2500 and then you don't get that next
- 1:04:19badge until 5000. I am pretty sure the next tier
- 1:04:24is 10K. It is pretty sure.
- 1:04:27Is it OK? There's no 7500.
- 1:04:29There's no. There's it took me 15 years to
- 1:04:33get to this point and I don't think I'm going to be speeding
- 1:04:38up from here. I I feel like they should give
- 1:04:40you something for every 1 thousand. 1000 beers is a
- 1:04:43fucking lot of beers. I feel like that's a good idea.
- 1:04:45Some kind of, you know, leveled up to another thing, whatever
- 1:04:48they want to call it. Scott, you can help Rich.
- 1:04:51Maybe you could have a beer for him and then you could check it
- 1:04:55in or something. There we go, Rich can have the
- 1:05:00ones I've already had. Yeah, we'll just, we'll just
- 1:05:04trade beer. You don't want you don't want my
- 1:05:06leftovers. I don't I guess the the fun
- 1:05:11thing about unique beer counts and truly getting to 5000 is
- 1:05:17this was this was the most honest way I could have ever
- 1:05:23played a game. Like I've there could have been
- 1:05:26opportunities, as cheesy as it sounds, there could have been
- 1:05:28opportunities be like, I'm going to drink it, but not check it
- 1:05:31in. Like I've obviously done that
- 1:05:33before, but when I got conscious about getting close, I I haven't
- 1:05:38gotten to that point. Like what's on what's in my
- 1:05:40fridge and what's on my Tabor list right now are beers that
- 1:05:44are in my fridge are on my Tabor list.
- 1:05:46I have not consumed them yet. Yeah, and you talk about 5000
- 1:05:50but once, but when you getting when you're 15102 thousand 2500
- 1:05:54beers in, you're like I'm fucking committed to this thing.
- 1:05:58I'm here. Like I'm like I don't want to
- 1:06:00miss any. I don't you know, I want to
- 1:06:01make, you know, have a duplicate.
- 1:06:04You might not care but to get a new one like I'm shit, I want to
- 1:06:07make sure I get this. God, you getting like 50 beers
- 1:06:10in here all of a sudden you're go.
- 1:06:11I don't think I'm committed to this.
- 1:06:12I'm committed, yeah. I'm at 15 now, it's time to keep
- 1:06:16rolling it. Like I'm, I'm invested.
- 1:06:20I want all the credit. I want all the new check in.
- 1:06:24I want all the new check insurance.
- 1:06:26So by next Wednesday, the goal is to have, what is it, 51
- 1:06:33between now and next week. That would have to be that seven
- 1:06:37days that I would have to drink 15 beers a day.
- 1:06:45Oh wow. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- 1:06:47Got it. Which is only like 3 beers a
- 1:06:50meal Mitch. You can do tasters.
- 1:06:53Tasters are OK. Tasters are OK.
- 1:06:56Go out, go out, get yourself, get yourself some oatmeal stouts
- 1:07:03for breakfast. There you go.
- 1:07:05Yeah. Some Esps and pilsners for
- 1:07:07lunch. Yeah.
- 1:07:09Stouts and Ipas for dinner. Yeah, you know.
- 1:07:12Couple fruited sours so you get your fruit in.
- 1:07:17Breakfast champion Steve? Yeah.
- 1:07:19I think you can have a diet of beer for a few months and lose
- 1:07:23at least 15 lbs but feel. Great the whole time.
- 1:07:26That's pretty true. Feel crazy.
- 1:07:29I I. Genuinely, have you ever tried
- 1:07:31that? And like, I could, I could, I
- 1:07:34could drink my calorie limited beer, I'd be full on a daily
- 1:07:37basis. The problem is drinking beer on
- 1:07:41top of the food I already eat. That's the problem.
- 1:07:43But if if you were to just be a liquid diet, which is no doubt I
- 1:07:48could do, I mean a beer is what on average 250 calories?
- 1:07:52And. How many kegs a week do we need?
- 1:07:59Because there's no cans in this process, we.
- 1:08:01Know. Yeah, you.
- 1:08:03Yeah, you. You can't be slowed down by
- 1:08:05packaging. Any consistency here?
- 1:08:08We're speaking volumes, consistent consistency.
- 1:08:12Weekends we get special treats. Right.
- 1:08:16You hook that damn tap handle to a hose.
- 1:08:21Go for. It So does the city provide this
- 1:08:24or am I going to have to? I think the quarter of the night
- 1:08:29is the quarter of the night is. You can't be slowed down by
- 1:08:32package day. Fuck those cans.
- 1:08:38Fuck those cans. The worst of the bottle is you
- 1:08:42got to take the goddamn cap off of it and everything.
- 1:08:44Yeah, and if they're wax covered too, like, come on, man, don't
- 1:08:47get. I don't need another.
- 1:08:48It's like that Pepperidge Farm bread where you like it's
- 1:08:51wrapped twice. You know?
- 1:08:54I don't. I don't whatever Mitch Hedberg
- 1:08:56says. I don't once you unwrap that
- 1:08:58shit and it still ain't open. Yeah, that's right.
- 1:09:02And then you've got the finger traps on the European beers,
- 1:09:05that's all. Oh yeah, that is.
- 1:09:06Right. Would all these sourfrooded
- 1:09:09beers get you through the day? I mean.
- 1:09:16I don't know, like if they're, if they're fruited sours, then
- 1:09:20surely they've got to have like some sort of like good for you
- 1:09:24ingredients in it, right? Because I mean, most fruited
- 1:09:27sours are generally flavored because of fruit.
- 1:09:31Yeah. Salads.
- 1:09:36Salads, Ipas because of hops and barley.
- 1:09:40So there's your. Vegetables.
- 1:09:42Take your wheat beers. Get your wheat beers for
- 1:09:45breakfast. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:48Steve and I did a podcast the other morning at 10 AM and shit,
- 1:09:52I had, I had, I had, I had mix tape because it was fucking
- 1:09:56fruit juice. So what the?
- 1:09:58Heck, did I drink on that one? I don't remember.
- 1:10:01Juice. 10 AM. Please tell me the people you're
- 1:10:04talking to were on Eastern Time. They were in Hungary.
- 1:10:08Yeah, they were Budapest. Hungary.
- 1:10:11OK, what the heck did I? What the heck was I?
- 1:10:135:00 in the afternoon. I I had a tool, Yeah, I had a
- 1:10:19New England IPA from. Ghostface Steve.
- 1:10:24Steve fully committed there. I'm like, just go for it. 10:00
- 1:10:27It's a Sunday. What the hell do I?
- 1:10:29Care, that's true. I'm not going anywhere today,
- 1:10:32that's true. Why is our stigma that says
- 1:10:34drinking before noon is bad? Steven I got up early and
- 1:10:37worked. It worked out and then.
- 1:10:40I did actually. I got up early that day.
- 1:10:42I was like, I need to go to work out.
- 1:10:44I'm not going to work out after this podcast.
- 1:10:47No, I got up in like 7 o'clock and I went to my gym and I came
- 1:10:50home and I'm like, fine, I'm not going anywhere else today.
- 1:10:53I will drink this whatever it was.
- 1:10:56Probably 7 or 8 New England hazy.
- 1:10:59What? The fuck?
- 1:11:00What was it you had? It was from Zul.
- 1:11:03Oh, it was Zul. OK.
- 1:11:05I think it was from Zul, yeah. Man, yeah, when your blood
- 1:11:08vessels are just restricted, it's the best time to drink
- 1:11:15like. The most right man.
- 1:11:17Yeah, I know that from very much so.
- 1:11:20When you just get to the point where you like, what does it
- 1:11:22really matter? At this point?
- 1:11:24It's a Sunday. I'm not working, you know, I'm
- 1:11:27just doing a podcast. I literally, I literally like
- 1:11:31had when we hit the record button, I was finishing my
- 1:11:35coffee over here and cracking the beer.
- 1:11:38I swear to God. Both were on the table at the
- 1:11:40same time. Oh, and also, and also let us
- 1:11:43say that it was 5:00 where he was.
- 1:11:47So we were basically, you know what?
- 1:11:50I was in his time zone. I was ready.
- 1:11:53I was ready. I was participating.
- 1:11:56I was in the moment. It wasn't 10:00 where I was, it
- 1:11:59was 5:00. That's right. 5:00 somewhere.
- 1:12:02Literally, yeah. Like every hour is 5:00.
- 1:12:04It's fine. Yep.
- 1:12:05Yeah. Anyway.
- 1:12:10Scott, why were you drinking coffee at 5:00 in the afternoon?
- 1:12:15Oh, he flipped those tables on you, Scott I.
- 1:12:19Didn't expect him to call me out like that but I don't have an
- 1:12:21answer. It's a rarity.
- 1:12:24It's a rarity. You usually call me out.
- 1:12:26I don't have an answer for that one.
- 1:12:27Damn. And let's and let's be fair,
- 1:12:30like are time zones really like a real thing?
- 1:12:34Like, come on. Like it's like, is it 10:00 or
- 1:12:37is it 5:00? Yeah, that we can all be the
- 1:12:41same time. We would just adapt to whatever
- 1:12:43that time is. It's like, yeah, it's just
- 1:12:45almost like like in Australia right now, like it's it's winter
- 1:12:47for them, even though like I would never, I can't imagine
- 1:12:50June being winter, you know what I mean?
- 1:12:52Like like yeah, associated. Well, and I think the farthest,
- 1:12:55the furthest time zone from us, he's not Australia.
- 1:13:00I think it's Auckland which is usually like 14 hours ahead of
- 1:13:06us. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 1:13:09Yeah. If you look at like Auckland,
- 1:13:11which I think is like an island or something.
- 1:13:13Right. Now it's 916 here.
- 1:13:16It's probably like 4:00 in the afternoon on Wednesday there or
- 1:13:20something. Yeah, it's a full day.
- 1:13:22Yep. Time zones make about as much
- 1:13:25sense to me as Celsius to Fahrenheit does.
- 1:13:28I know. Yeah, or the mechanism.
- 1:13:31Like when people like it's so warm outside it's 5° like what
- 1:13:36the fuck are you talking? About.
- 1:13:40You know how stupid you sound right now?
- 1:13:45Now, if you were to be like, it's freezing outside, it's -12
- 1:13:47would be like, damn right it's freezing outside right now.
- 1:13:50But like, if it's hot outside and it's 12, yeah, come on.
- 1:13:54That's not even a real unit of measure.
- 1:13:56What's funny is we talked to the guy from Budapest the other day
- 1:14:01and you can tell like they have to explain things to Americans,
- 1:14:06like, you know what I mean? Like, OK, this is Celsius.
- 1:14:10We forget the rest of the world works on Celsius.
- 1:14:12You guys don't. It's like you guys are the
- 1:14:15problem. Like it?
- 1:14:16Really. Is it really is?
- 1:14:19It's totally us that's the problem.
- 1:14:21My entire team at my work lives in Canada.
- 1:14:24And if they're going to, if they'll be like, yeah, let's
- 1:14:26meet at 11, I have to automatically adjust my clock.
- 1:14:30It's not like they're not going to say let's meet at 11:00
- 1:14:34Eastern, 10:00 central. They're going to be like
- 1:14:36everybody, let's meet at 11. And if I'm there at 11:00 PM my
- 1:14:40time, I missed the meeting. They just don't they're, they're
- 1:14:43like, we're not going to explain to you what time zone it is.
- 1:14:47And then they use Celsius instead of Fahrenheit.
- 1:14:50Americans in the problem. And don't even explain it.
- 1:14:52They're just like this is what it is.
- 1:14:55How about? Over.
- 1:14:57The over exaggerations, what's gotten me with some German
- 1:15:00clients and whatnot, because very, very just easily I'll say
- 1:15:06yeah, everything's going great. And they're just like, you know.
- 1:15:15They're like, sure, yeah, sure. We watch the news.
- 1:15:21Americans. We see his dumb ass.
- 1:15:24Too. You know, I can tell you right
- 1:15:29now, nobody feels sorry for us right now.
- 1:15:33No one, No 10. It's funny.
- 1:15:39We're coming up on a shit. It's been an hour, guys.
- 1:15:42Hour hour 20. We're pushing hour 20.
- 1:15:45Minutes. My beer is empty so I'm that's
- 1:15:50going to be it for me for the night considering I got to be up
- 1:15:53at 5:00 tomorrow morning. OK, OK, well we got a we got a
- 1:15:56good solid thing in here. Rich was is all about you.
- 1:15:59Congratulations on 5000 beers. That is nothing to sneeze at.
- 1:16:03Promise. Thanks guys, feel like an
- 1:16:05alcoholic. Remember diabolical?
- 1:16:13That should have been the name of the five thousandth beard.
- 1:16:15Checking. Not epic.
- 1:16:17It should have been diabolical, Steve.
- 1:16:19Diabolic. Hey, Rich.
- 1:16:20Rich, put your can up there one more time if you've got it.
- 1:16:23Eric got it still. Ask me that is the. 5.
- 1:16:28Thousandth unique check in from Rich.
- 1:16:33I feel like again, I feel like I should have brought some
- 1:16:36streamers or something. Just pop them off.
- 1:16:41Diabolical. Congratulations to you buddy.
- 1:16:44I wish it would have been that stout, but Oh well, at least I
- 1:16:47got to have it with good guys tonight.
- 1:16:50The stout could still come into play.
- 1:16:51It could just be just another number.
- 1:16:53It'll just it'll work it in. You know what, Scott?
- 1:16:55My luck is going to ship tomorrow.
- 1:16:59They're going to be like now that we've already shipped your
- 1:17:01other yesterday, we've opened up a new crate for you.
- 1:17:06That's hilarious. 5003. Like what the fuck does it?
- 1:17:14Carry it out. I don't even want the beer.
- 1:17:16If you're not a 1100 or 5100 next Wednesday, none of us will
- 1:17:23judge. I won't judge.
- 1:17:27We won't. God, they judge you.
- 1:17:28I won't judge. You no, but there'll be an
- 1:17:29expectation. Don't be judgement if I don't
- 1:17:34hit it, but there won't be judgement if I do hit it.
- 1:17:37That seems a little backwards, Steve.
- 1:17:39Well, here's the conversation to have rich Hey Rachel.
- 1:17:42So the guys so the guys were like, I don't know, man took a
- 1:17:47long time to be 5051 hundred Seems like it's just right
- 1:17:50there. We could I could just hit it.
- 1:17:52No. Problem.
- 1:17:53I'm already at 5050. Like, you know, I could just go
- 1:17:57another 50 beers and then. You.
- 1:18:01Know what we wouldn't even know? You start checking in just like,
- 1:18:04oh look at that, he had 20 somewhere else today.
- 1:18:08Yeah. Sean, numbers at that point,
- 1:18:14yeah. If you if you're going to knock
- 1:18:16those numbers out, we'd have to do a share like Sean.
- 1:18:20Yeah. So yeah.
- 1:18:22Mitch, Mitch, I think when, when we're at Dark Lord Day and I was
- 1:18:26like, I can hit 5000. I had to check in.
- 1:18:28I think it was like 70 beers or something like that.
- 1:18:33And DJ was like, no way you're going to hit 5000.
- 1:18:36I was he's like, no way you're going to hit 7.
- 1:18:38I'm like, this is Dark Lord Day. Like there's thousands and
- 1:18:41thousands of people here and there's thousands.
- 1:18:44He's like, you're not going to do it.
- 1:18:45I was like, it's like 70 some beers.
- 1:18:47If I have like 2 ounces of each beer and he goes, that's going
- 1:18:52to be a what, 140? He goes, you're going to check
- 1:18:54in a gallon of 15% stouts all day.
- 1:18:57And I was like, you know what, He's got a good point.
- 1:19:00Like when you start breaking the numbers down like that.
- 1:19:03It's not. Reasonable. 24 hours though it's
- 1:19:07possible, yeah. Beer Math.
- 1:19:11Yeah, that's true. You're not doing anything else,
- 1:19:15not sleeping and not eating it, just.
- 1:19:17Like I'm just drinking. Just.
- 1:19:20Fucking I'm doing the math I'm on.
- 1:19:22I'm on pace. That's right.
- 1:19:24Got to get there, dearest out White.
- 1:19:29T-shirt, We're putting every slash of drink on your shirt.
- 1:19:34We can count it every five. That's like.
- 1:19:37The only way to do it, Mitch, is like a Sharpie and just marking
- 1:19:40it off. So did you say this, Mitch?
- 1:19:43Like that, that it's always sunny in Philadelphia?
- 1:19:46Yeah. The weight balls thing.
- 1:19:50Yeah, Yeah. Such a good show.
- 1:19:55Such a fun flight to do. I do that in an instant.
- 1:19:58If the whole flight was that Skogs kind of thing or whatever.
- 1:20:02I don't know baseball, but yes, that was a flight like.
- 1:20:07Let's roll. I.
- 1:20:10Wouldn't want to be a participant, I just want to be a
- 1:20:12witness to it because he like he can do it.
- 1:20:14You want 100 beers on a fucking flight?
- 1:20:16Knock yourself out. I don't want.
- 1:20:17Any I have to just like have a cold one and a marker.
- 1:20:20And then when someone raises their hands, I go over.
- 1:20:22I'm like, all right, here's another beer, buddy.
- 1:20:24Like he. Leaves a marker and there's
- 1:20:26here. Let's go.
- 1:20:32One day. One day, yeah, it'll be an all
- 1:20:36female. It'll be an all female crew.
- 1:20:38Nevermind. What beer would be the beer to
- 1:20:46annually win the number of check insurance and consistently every
- 1:20:50year, it's always just like you're in a lull, so you're not
- 1:20:53checking in the good beers, but you have your what's the one
- 1:20:57that everyone needs to default to for the highest check in does
- 1:21:00a competition? That could be a fun thing.
- 1:21:02It's got, it's got the word light on it.
- 1:21:05I'm pretty sure it's something light, yeah.
- 1:21:12If we're talking, if we're talking ratios of beer, Scott
- 1:21:16hands down wins with original because it's such a good fucking
- 1:21:21beer. Yeah.
- 1:21:23And out of the 80 something people that have total checked
- 1:21:27that beer in, Scott has 60 of them or something like that.
- 1:21:32I I, I just don't know why more people aren't checking it in,
- 1:21:34honestly. I mean, that's a lot of checking
- 1:21:35safety too. But like, where, where, where
- 1:21:38are the people checking the beers in?
- 1:21:39Like the yeah, they're obviously drinking it.
- 1:21:41It's a great place. They're not consistent.
- 1:21:44Scott, dude, that's another thing.
- 1:21:47When you go to Stoke House you need to be preaching to
- 1:21:50everybody, check in these beers that could be part of your job.
- 1:21:55There, well, not now. I'm I'm going to maintain this
- 1:21:57ratio. Should we?
- 1:22:00Should we create a dorky site called the Original Start or
- 1:22:05something like that? And it's just a site that
- 1:22:08chooses a beer for local residents that you got to check
- 1:22:11in the most. Oh.
- 1:22:14That's good. It's like we can make an app for
- 1:22:18it and it would all aggregate just fine.
- 1:22:21But it would be kind of a fun thing for driving some more
- 1:22:26local sales, right? And we can make several
- 1:22:31different brackets and whatnot. But yeah, I don't know, dumb
- 1:22:34idea I. Think it's a great idea?
- 1:22:38We'll let you put that emotion. Dumb ideas when you're drinking.
- 1:22:43We'll take those ashtray lips and gold dip on for the trophy.
- 1:22:49Fill it with beer. Drink it.
- 1:22:51Out of it, anyway. All right, boys, I got to go
- 1:22:57pee. I know, Rich, you got to go.
- 1:22:59Cheers gentlemen. Congrats, Rich.
- 1:23:02Congrats Rich, absolutely cheers to you man.
- 1:23:05Thanks guys. Bye.
- 1:23:07Cheers. See you boys.
- 1:23:10Later.
